We have the most worthless UPS guy here in Limington, Maine. My wife is making lunch in the kitchen right by the front door. When she happens to look outside and sees the UPS truck out front. She opens the front door and there is the UPS guy trying to stick a "We tried to deliver and you weren't home" note in the door. My wife right away says, "What's this?" He says, "Well I've been knocking for a bit," and right away she says firmly, "No, no you haven't. Don't lie to me." He says nothing and she finally says while handing him his "note", "Go get my package please." As he turns away he says, "Ok but man it's heavy."
I was told by a high school friend who works for UPS that the policy is the package needs to be with driver when at door then if there is no answer he can put the note. Even after that he dropped it on the ground at the bottom of my 3 steps and walked off refusing to acknowledge my wife yelling after him. TOTAL LYING POS. He just didn't want to carry the sand filter I ordered for the pool.

How does UPS get lost looking for Louisville Kentucky of all places??? (For those who don't know, Louisville Kentucky is their largest hub AND their corporate global headquarters.) Apparently Big Brown has some really smart package handlers and OTR truck drivers when they can take a package addressed to LOUISVILLE KY and manage to misroute it to Madison Heights, Michigan before anyone anywhere in the system noticed anything wrong! Then when I called to ask about my package after it was supposed to be delivered first, the Princess at UPS' so-called Customer Service tells him there is no information available and no one knows if or when the package might be delivered (and, no, I'm not being sarcastic, "Princess" is what she called herself - and apparently what she thinks she is).
I asked for a supervisor and after 8 minutes on hold Princess is back to tell me "The supervisor won't talk to you but that your package SHOULD be delivered on Monday." I insisted on speaking to a supervisor and spent 14 more minutes on hold before someone comes on the line obviously surprised that you are still there, with the standard "I apologize for any inconvenience" and assurances that UPS will TRY to get the package to Louisville by Monday. I asked why they can't deliver it tomorrow (These are the guys who brag about their Next Day delivery service) and after 9 more minutes on hold, she was back to tell me that the hub in Michigan has "already started sorting" and can't be bothered looking for one package to upgrade and that coming from Michigan the package probably won't really get here on Monday anyway and that Tuesday is probably the best that UPS can do.
So now I am waiting at least three days (more likely four) for a package that was supposed to arrive on Friday and was needed on Saturday, but now might get here Monday or Tuesday if they don't lose the same package again. Part of the problem with UPS' so-called "Customer Service" is that UPS does not consider package recipients to be real customers -- only the businesses that ship packages are really "customers" for UPS.

A couple of days ago, I was sitting in my living room when I heard a loud "thud" against my door. I got up to open the door and spotted a package on my doorstep - a curious sight, as I had no recollection of having ordered anything recently. Thankfully, the UPS driver who had delivered it was kind enough to make me immediately aware of its arrival by throwing it at my door, so there was no possible way in which I could have missed this boxed enigma. Upon closer inspection, I determined that the package was indeed addressed to my residence - unfortunately, the name of the individual on the package was completely unknown to me, and I have been living at my current residence for just shy of two years.
Doing what any individual of unambiguous moral integrity would do, I chose to take some time out of my day to stop by the local UPS office to drop the package off and let them know that it was delivered to me in error - surely, some wires somewhere must have been crossed, I'll be glad to see that it is reunited with its rightful owner and we can all move on with our lives.
When I arrived at UPS, I placed the package on the front counter and briefed the employee working there on the situation. "We can't accept this." "Excuse me?" "Yeah, it's not really our problem, you have to take it to the distribution center." "Hold on, you're telling me this package - a UPS package, which was shipped to me in error by you, is not your problem?" "Yeah, we can't take it. Sorry." I was furious. They told me that I had to drive 30 minutes to the distribution center because of a mistake they made. I had to take an hour out of my day driving in the opposite direction from my house after having worked for 12 hours to fix their inability to do their job properly.
I will go out of my way to never use UPS' services again, and this is stemming from a delivery that was never even intended for me. I can only hope that they get their act together and deliver the package to its rightful owner. UPS is an awful company and their mishandling of people's packages is bordering on criminal, and you have much better options.

My husband sold some Longaberger bowls on eBay. I packed them myself. I worked for a gift company for 14 years and packed and unpacked thousands of items. When we went to the UPS store here in St Augustine, the guy asked if one hundred dollars insurance was enough. We said yes. We sold the bowls for $57. After 10 days of dealing with UPS and sending them pictures not once but twice, they turned it down. Somebody threw that box up against something to break them. I will not use UPS again. My husband sold the bowls because we needed the money. Shame on them! It is back to the United States Post Office for me.Tracking number **.

We try to never use Kingston NY UPS with their strange hours of 330-630 PM 5 days a week to ship items but situation arose with a rural residence that had no mailbox so I had my USPS package returned and needed another option. So we went to UPS and waited 20 minutes or more with one worker at shipping station. My turn she asked what's in the box and I said it's a picture (picture size 16"x19" box a little bigger) then she asked is there glass I said yes then she laid the box flat on the scale and proceeded with CPR in the center of box.
ONE CPR she pressed and said it won't make it while pressing, then TWO CPR and pressing little harder she says it's not going to make it, then THREE CPR even harder then I spoke up and said the box made it there once already and returned and then I said it is packed well with bubble wrap and extra cardboard. Then I'm told, "We recommend taking the glass out before shipping." Also she won't insure it now. Now that is disturbing but I sent it anyway to get away from that weirdness and waited to item was delivered before making this review. I receive items all the time from UPS and no complaints. This picture was shipped fast and safe. Item made it even with the CPR that the shipping station lady conducted, she didn't break it but it looked as she intended to if I didn't speak up. Won't be back unless we have no choice.

A package showed up with a payment necessary of over $200. I declined. The driver gave me a phone number to find out what was going on. From that number I was referred to 2 supervisors with direct access (amazing!), a name and phone number. Not only did the supervisor get back to me within an hour but she went above and beyond to help me. Then, the folks at the payment center could not have been more efficient and helpful, even calling me back after being disconnected. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional, and the customer service was EXCEPTIONAL. These folks have it right, thank you.

I shipped a valuable mandolin in June of 2016, very-well packaged, and insured for $3000. I shipped it from a UPS store, something I now regret greatly. The mandolin was damaged, and I filed a claim. A contractor for UPS was assigned the claim, and, not being near the recipient, got photos of the damaged mandolin, as well as the packaging material from the recipient (which was an instrument re-seller in Michigan).
The claim was denied (totally from photos), with a reason stating it was not sufficiently packaged. I disputed this, as I believe it was well-packaged, and would have taken great abuse by the shipper to be damaged. I found that I could dispute the claim decision, but that it (and all other correspondence) would have to be initiated by the UPS store I mailed it from.
So, my first complaint was the feeling that anything damaged was due to 'inadequate packaging', which always leaves UPS off the hook. If my packaging was inadequate, why would UPS take my $51 for insurance? My second and ongoing complaint that is that I cannot deal with UPS directly. Everything must go through the store... and when the store gets information from UPS (as I learned today), they have not let me know.
The current status is apparently that my claim was reviewed and now will be honored. But I cannot verify that because this discussion (initiated by UPS to the store 7 days ago via email) was not relayed to me... nor have I been able to get hold of the store to find out where we (they) are in the process. UPS needs info from me (on forms they sent to the store), but the store has not contacted me about this.
Finally, I was on the phone to UPS customer service early today and was promised via email of the necessary form(s). The email never appeared, I call back, and there is no record of my earlier call (20 minutes) nor of the attempt to email me today. The customer service rep takes notes in their system about the calls, except (apparently) when they don't. It was only from the 2nd call today that I learned that they would only deal with a claim form coming from the store. All in all, hugely frustrated, and will now only use FedEx.

Received notice of collection on brokerage. No idea what for. The collection agency indicates that the parcel would have been paid for at the door but since they don't have internet connection, must have mistyped a digit on the credit card. This equals collection to me after 90 days. They claim they try to phone 3 times but won't leave a message on a machine. What next slates and chalk? Join the 21st you idiots! What business model uses a collection agency to administer accounts receivable? When is someone going to create a service oriented courier service? I will NEVER use UPS for shipments from the US to Canada. $20 parcel = $65 brokerage. They actually put me on collection before for an item I bought from an online computer store chain in Toronto. They brought the item in from their US warehouse to Canada and then shipped it to me from their store. UPS sent a collection notice on me for brokerage!

Owning a company is a chore. Having a wife who orders things means we both expect courtesy from UPS, and on 7/20/16 ups came. Did not ring the bell, and left a note for us to sign for next day delivery. Nothing, and so called only to be called we would have to go pick it up. Thus finally got a US supervisor who said they would deliver it, and the next day Saturday got called, left no message, so we called back when we got home, and thus the same.
All from the Philippines with people we cannot easily understand, and no supervisor. They said we had to pay $5.00 for it to be delivered. I called the company, Lands End, who said they would re ship by USPO as I requested. And then the girl in Philippines called, and I spoke to her supervisor and told them no more UPS ever, from this day and to return the pkg. I have been annoyed with them for years, and the way they treat employees, low pay, long hours part time, etc. So this is it. The end of our relationship with my business and wife's shopping.

UPS suck and sting. Worst service ever. I sent a package from UK to Mexico and the incompetents sent it to USA. It's been now 3 weeks and they are sending me back my package because of their mistake. They couldn't rerouted. No. Instead they are sending it back and for doing that took them so long??? Oh and they didn't have the delivery date yet. Those papers meant to be for legal purposes by the 27 of July and I can't have them back yet.

Not only did they lose my package by delivering it to the wrong address, ten blocks away, they were hopelessly rude to me when I called to rectify the problem and insisted I had received it. When I finally hunted down the package (myself) and proved that they had picked it back up when the wrong recipient had turned it back in, they didn't even offer an apology. Worse yet, it's been three days past when it was supposed to be delivered. It would have been quicker to just order another computer and had it delivered from another service. The only reason I stuck with UPS was that they had the last computer in stock. I honestly don't know how they remain in business when FedEx and the Postal Office do much better jobs and aren't terribly rude to paying customers. Especially when the mistake was their own.

We were travelling in the United States and I left my phone in a hotel room. Best Western contacted me and asked where I wanted it sent and I replied to our vacation stop in Calgary, Alberta. Instead they sent it to our home in Ottawa by UPS. I received a message on July 14 from UPS indicating the phone would be delivered on July 15. I called their Canadian number to ask the phone be re-routed and immediately was connected to their call centre in the Philippines. The agent explained the phone could not be rerouted because it had already left their "hub" in Windsor ON to the Ottawa warehouse. The agent said UPS would have to try to deliver the phone first and then something could be done. I asked why send a delivery person to an address when we knew no one would be home. The agent replied "Those are the rules."
I tried to get someone in UPS Canada to speak to but all phone numbers led to the Philippines. I received a message from UPS today to say the phone has been delivered--the deliverer left it at the door. I have now asked a neighbour to retrieve it--if it is there. Overall I spent more than two hours on phone calls (mostly on call waiting) and Internet searches and won't get my until our return. I have no idea how a worldwide company such as UPS can retain its customers with such bizarre business practices.

Sold a pair of vintage lamps on eBay in May 2016. Took them to Landover, MD UPS. They were packed by a UPS Employee. My husband told her that she did not use enough packing. "I do this every day, I know what I am doing." Well the lamps were received broken and UPS had the nerve to deny my claim. I had to fight to prove that an employee packed them. As requested back in May I filed a damage claim. They picked the package up in Washington State from the buyer and lost it. With my persistence, it was found in late June... In their lost/found in Kansas City.
Okay so I think it is over... Not by a long shot. I was informed that the package would have to be sent back to me in Maryland for UPS to pick up for damage claims. They slapped a new label on top of the initial label and left off the apartment number. I checked online for the date that I would be receiving the package. We sit in the house all day from 8am - 8pm. No package. I called the next morning and they told me that the package was delivered and given to someone on the above floor. This is an 100 apartment senior citizen's building. I guess since it didn't have an apartment number the driver decided to just give it to anyone coming down the hall. He gave it to a woman in the building and didn't ask for ID because on the internet is said, 'left with sender', I was the sender. I was furious and asked if I could go to the apartment to get my package. "No the driver will have to get it and return it to you."
At around 4:00 that evening, I go to the office and ask if they had my package. Yes, it was brought down early that morning. I did not check the office, because I was already told the driver would be coming back to pick it up from my apartment. We picked up the package and I called the damage department as I was told to do to schedule a pick-up. I was told again that he would pick up between 8a - 8p the next day. Stayed home all day again... Guess what, he didn't show up. Called the next day and was told that he came at 5:45 p.m, and no one was home. I was home he did not come to my apartment! So they scheduled it for the next day. Another day sitting in the house waiting for UPS.
At 8:35 p.m. we get a knock at the door... Guess who? Yep, it's the UPS man. I call them back the next morning and was told that I would receive an email with attachments that I needed to print out and fax/mail back to them. Again, I am a senior. I had to find someone to take me to the Staples store to have them print out the forms. The store is not near my home. I get there and there's about 8 people in line all looking frustrated. There are only 2 people working there. I spend an hour, not to mention I had to pay for the printed copies. I fill out the forms and had to pay to have them faxed. I am told by an employee at the damage department that I will receive a phone call from someone to verify that they received my information by closing. This was on July 13th.
Got up this morning and remembered that I didn't receive the call. So I called UPS and spoke to the same person that told me that I would receive a callback. After her apologies she decided that she would put me on hold, and call the claims department. After sitting on hold and listening to that loud music in my ear she finally came back and asked me to call the claims department directly. Here we go... More run around!
I call and speak with a guy who didn't have a clue as to why he even worked there! He tells me "Oh, they forgot to tell you that we needed your invoice so we can see the price that the item sold for, and the additional shipping charges you are requesting." I asked "Can you give me an email where I can send this in?" I didn't want to have to find someone to take me back to the Staples store, not to mention it is hot! His words were, "No, we don't have an email address, we had a temporary one but it is down now." You are UPS what does he mean they don't have an email address?
Today, is July 15, 2016, and this problem is still not resolved. I will have to go back to the Staples store to send them this information. They told me it will be about 10 days before the buyer will receive her payment. The buyer is not very happy with me and threatening to report me to eBay. I live on a fixed income and cannot pay her out of my pocket. I don't buy online so I won't need their services. I will never ship another package using UPS.

Driver responded by calling my husband an ** then floored it out of the driveway & blasting on the horn AGAIN. Now one of the packages is at the UPS store 7 miles away & I have to go pick it up.
The other package is MIA. Online tracking info states, "The apartment number is either missing or incorrect. This may delay delivery. We're attempting to update the address." Funny because this is a HOUSE, no apartments. The number is clearly showing on the mailbox & oh yeah, I have received numerous packages here before from UPS, FedEX, DHL & USPS. And after over 3 months of attempting to track it down with daily phone calls to the original location, receiving location and the 800 # they finally said the box ripped open before leaving the originating location and they couldn't find my shipping information or anything to send it to me even though half of the box had my name and address in it, that it had been sent to a warehouse in Alabama or something and after 90 days of not being claimed it had been destroyed. I was expecting delivery of my package, upon checking my email when the package never arrived, I found that the package was returned to sender. In UPS notes it stated the package was damaged? I've received damaged goods in the past, taped together, and that they had contacted the receiver, which is not true, and that the package was not ordered, again never happened. UPS returned the items to Sender. I contacted the sender's customer service, and they could do nothing, but credit my account. I could not reorder the items as they were clearance and none were available. This is outrageous. They never put the package on a truck for delivery. It never left their warehouse in Fort Worth, TX.
I have had numerous problems with UPS delivery's and made complaints about drivers leaving packages down at the roadside, even when the label states, "Do not leave at roadside." Delivery means delivery to my house, not the road which is not visible from my house. They deliver to the wrong address and continually miss delivery dates. UPS is not what they used to be.

I know reviews are notoriously skewed towards negative experiences so I wanted to share a positive one. I live in a medium sized gated apartment complex near downtown LA and ordered a futon off of Amazon three days ago. Not only did UPS get the item to me within 36 hours of it leaving the carrier faculty, but the delivery person carried the 80 lb futon 50 yards from the front gate around two buildings and all the way to my doorstep. Excellent service especially in comparison to the USPS delivery workers who constantly throw packages over the front gate and just leave them smashed and crushed wherever they are thrown.
I know people have a lot of problems with UPS/USPS/FedEx but considering the number of individuals and processes involved in getting a package to your door I understand occasional issues. While delivery service is far from perfect, in this case I was amazed and highly satisfied that my delivery was left not only in a safe location but also mere feet from my apartment. Cheers to a good delivery day and I hope everyone else's bad experience(s) improve.

UNACCEPTABLE TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOREVER. PLEASE DOWNSIZE, START A MERGER OR JUST START SLOWLY SELLING OFF PARTS OF YOUR BUSINESS. I hope I open a courier business one day. I will make sure I place UPS at the top of my COMPETITOR LIST. PLEASE NEVER EVER USE THIS SHIPPING COMPANY EVER. THERE IS BETTER ONES OUT THERE AND YES WE KNOW WHO THEY ARE BECAUSE IT FOR DAMN SURE IS NOT UPS. I can't even get a copy of the damn order number. What a waste of time. Return policy. Anyone owe none. That's right UPS returns and ships nothing not even your money. Please note that I have come to the conclusion on expressing my views with them after this has become a common occurrence since April 2014. ANNOYING!!!

On July 8th 20016 I was waiting for a delivery from UPS that was never delivered. It was stated that it was delivered and it wasn't. I immediately contact customer service and got the runaround for about an hour or so pertaining to this matter. I've been received a phone call back from a supervisor stating to me that I could go look for the UPS truck in the 1700-1800 area. I immediately stated to home "What? Am I supposed to walk up in down the street looking for a truck? Are you kidding me?" She stated to me if it was her package that's what she would do. Are you kidding me? UPS is the worst carrying service ever. I will never again in life use this service for anything.

UPS is a service that I am very highly disappointed with. I have used this service in the past and 7 out of the last 10 times I have had to go pick my package up due to an error or incompetent people on UPS behave. I was supposed to have a package delivered 3 days ago. On the first day when I called they said they were correction the package and I'd receive it the next day. On day 2 the representative read the notes from the previous day and stated they didn't do what they said they would. "I'm taking care of it right now. You'll get your package tomorrow."
On day 3 the representative read the notes from day 1 and 2 and stated "I'm not sure what they are doing over there but your package is being held for customer pick up at the center" and if I wanted it delivered I wouldn't get it until Monday. It's Friday so there goes an additional 3 days. So UPS is known for offering a service that they don't provide and never do they speak of any refunds.

I just bought a home around Goldsboro NC. My girlfriend had a package delivery from UPS. The delivery man parked his truck at the end of my driveway in the cul-de-sac, less than 50' ft. from my front door, Then proceeded to walk next to my driveway in my front lawn which is covered with a layer of hay because I just finished weeding, tilling, raking, leveling and smoothing, then replanting and covering with hay. A LOT of Extreme and intensive labor in the very hot NC sun to have a foot path installed across it that I DID NOT WANT. Did the only lawn in my neighborhood that was covered with hay not give this man any clue that he shouldn't walk on it. And the company we ordered from sent the wrong item so we returned to sender. BAD DAY. THANKS UPS???

I received a package today that was completely soaked because the driver just dumped it at the bottom of my driveway, although I had been told, when this happened before, that they never leave packages in an unsecured area. This was absolutely not a secured area. When I went into live chat to complain, all I got was robot-like responses about how sorry they were and yet another number to call. Now that I have looked at UPS reviews on the Web, I realize I'm hardly alone. This company provides lousy service and if I send anything from now myself, I'm going with FedEx.

I am sitting in my living room next to my outside door when I hear something hit my door. Then my doorbell rings, (I immediately go to my door when I hear the package hit my door). I see a tall ** UPS driver walking back to his truck in a very fast pace. When I say something to him he becomes very arrogant and jumps back in his truck and pulls off. First and foremost I live in Newark, N.J. I don't live in an extremely bad area but nowadays no area is safe. No one should be leaving a package at the door without first seeing if someone will at least answer the door and the drivers could at least be courteous since they have a job and there are plenty of people who are less fortunate. I have had packages delivered by the Postal Service, FedEx, Amazon and none of them just throw the packages at the door and walk off.
These packages contained two pair of sneakers from Finish Line that cost $160.00 a pair that were already paid for. Now had somebody picked them up who would be responsible for replacing them or returning my money, because UPS cannot prove that they were delivered. It just so happened that I was here to receive the package. The tracking # is **. They were delivered about 6:30 on July 7, 2016 so I know UPS can track the truck and driver. Upper management might need to retrain their staff on how to deal with the public. Their service is very poor and their staff is a disgrace to the company. At least this driver is a disgrace to the company...

In January I was expecting a package from the U.S... had been a few weeks didn't come. I called company sending package. They said they would look into. They didn't get satisfactory answer so sent out another package. This package I received by UPS. Driver didn't knock at door or ring bell. Seen UPS truck leaving. Looked outside and package was sitting outside on steps. Anyone in area could have walked by and took package. UPS doesn't know what's in package and don't care. 3 months later I see a UPS truck go by my house was going out to store and almost tripped over package on stairs. I know I hadn't ordered anything and again driver didn't knock on door or ring doorbell. Picked up package and noticed this might have been the package that was originally sent out at beginning of year.
Called the company that originally sent package and told them there was a package at my door. She said she was going to contact UPS and see what was going on. They had informed her that yes it was the original package had been lost or misplaced in their warehouse then found and sent out. They told her they would not be billing for this as they had misplaced it and were going to be putting it on their lost package list. Next thing I know I am getting a invoice from them for the lost or misplaced freight. I called the Shipper and told her the situation and she said she would be taking care of it. She got back to me saying she spoke to UPS and they were going to be canceling the invoice.
The next thing I know I am getting a letter from a collection agency saying UPS has passed it over to them for payment. I contacted the shipper. She could not believe UPS would do this and contacted them again. They assured her they would take care of it. I called the collection agency and they said, "No," UPS has not told them anything. I called UPS. They do not keep customer notes in their system. Explained the situation all over again. This time, the employee I spoke with said she was going to take care of it. I got her name and employee number. Now I am going to wait and see if they actually do take care of it.

Back in May my daughter had a shipment of 5 bottles of wine and a bottle of olive oil shipped from Italy where she had visited a winery. Almost 3 weeks later it was delivered to our lot where we are building a house - we've had other UPS deliveries made there and if they do not leave it they leave a postcard saying where to pick it up. Well this didn't happen - there was no postcard. They just decided to deliver it to our old house that we SOLD over a year and a half ago. Only by tracing the package did we find this out - they just left it on the front porch. No signature, no anything. Then the people that bought our house (I guess their conscience got the better of them) called to have it picked up by the local UPS outlet. We were told it was in Newton at the UPS Store - we spoke to the Newton store who then told us it was being shipped to our rental address overnight.
Well, miraculously that night the package "was damaged" and destroyed - I believe an employee stole the package and its contents. No one from UPS will even talk to us because we're not the "shipper" - so who is supposed to reimburse my daughter the $259 she spent??? UPS was totally at fault here and no one can give us an answer - it's extremely frustrating!! Then as of today (7/6) UPS is telling my daughter in tracking that it was signed for by her on 6/29???!!! We received no package - I don't even know how to go about contacting a manager/supervisor at UPS because all you get are clerks that won't help you. UPS should be made accountable for this and should reimburse the "Receiver". TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM UPS ON THIS MATTER.

UPS is my absolute last choice for any delivery service currently available. On every occasion I have had something shipped by them, the driver has walked up to my door without my package, refused to knock, and left a sticker on my door declaring I had used one of my three strikes before they would send my package back to sender. They give the option to have the driver leave the package at the door, but in order to do so, you have to allow UPS to give up all responsibility for any damage they cause to the package, which is absolutely insane. No other shipping company requires that.
This forces me to wait outside in the elements (which in Florida can include heat in the 90's) for my package. If you sign up for their My Choice program, they will provide you with a 4-hour delivery window that they will then completely ignore. I have spoken to multiple customer service representatives who always give the same line. "The four-hour window is an estimate, it can arrive any time between 9 am and 7 pm. If you want a guaranteed two-hour delivery window, you can pay $15". UPS isn't a legitimate business, it's an extortion scheme! You pay for a service, but if you don't pay for their "extras", they won't provide you the original service. Absolutely disgusting.

I work full-time and have tried my best upon placing an order with Amazon to ensure that I would be home to take delivery of a microwave. The UPS website indicated an expected delivery date for Tuesday and I took a day off work to be home. On Monday evening I returned to see that the UPS driver had arrived a day early and left the (heavy) package at a UPS Access Centre. I phoned UPS and requested a reschedule as I was unable to walk home carrying this box. I again waited all day at home today/Thursday.
Upon visiting the access centre after 5pm, I was met with an indifferent shrug of the shoulder and told that they had simply forgotten to load the package in the morning and the driver had now taken this to be redelivered over the next 1-2 business days (the first of which I have explicitly indicated there is no way I can be home to receive). I have been told that after a second delivery attempt the package goes back to the sender. Indifferent, untrustworthy, and arrogant.

It took two days to go from Ohio to the UPS Oak Creek, WI facility where it sat a whole day, after arriving. Then it was supposed to be delivered the next day. We were home all day, and around 5pm noticed a UPS truck delivering to a house across the street, then he drove off.
After waiting a hour or so to see if he would come back, she checked tracking and found that the driver entered that he tried to deliver it, but no one was home, and the package would no be delivered to us, but would be available for us to pick up at a nearby UPS store after 3pm the next day. That UPS store turned out to be a local convenience store about five blocks from our house, with employees that spoke broken English.
My daughter arrived after work, about 5:30pm and after asking about it, the clerk said the UPS packages just came in, and my daughter saw they were all laying in a pile on the floor behind the counter, and hadn't been checked in yet. After searching through the pile the clerk found it, but didn't know how to check it in or out, and had to wait about 15 minutes for another employee to come off lunch break.
This was very poor service, and raises a lot of questions. Why did it sit in Oak Creek a whole day? Why did it take until 5pm the next day for a driver to be in our area? Why did the driver enter in the log that he tried to deliver it, when he made no attempt to do so? Why couldn't he have dropped it off at the convenience store that day, instead of taking it back to the main facility only to have another driver (or perhaps even himself) having to deliver it to the convenience store later the next day? Why did it take until around 5pm to be delivered to the convenience store, when the tracking info said it would be there around 3pm? Why couldn't that driver have delivered it to our house instead of the convenience store?

I called UPS to request a re-delivery and they said that it would be redelivered within the next 2 business days. The local UPS distribution center manager called my personal cellphone to tell me that they will not redeliver the package. She argued with me stating that UPS cannot make such promises as "They don't know what it's like here" (This is an actual 'cat stuck in a tree in the police reports town'). She was rude, inconsiderate, and I could hear the laugh in her voice as she enjoyed very much telling me that she will not redeliver the package.
I called UPS the next day to tell them that she is straight up refusing to deliver the package. UPS promised again it would be delivered to no avail. I called Amazon the next day to tell them what was going on as their tracking page showed that the package had been delivered. Amazon stated as well that the package will be redelivered to my house. The local distribution center vindictively refused all requests from both UPS and Amazon to redeliver the package and returned it to Amazon. Asking the manager Christine, at the local distribution center to redeliver a package felt like I was asking for the whole world or for a million dollars. I am finally writing an review to hopefully get some involvement from the corporate office. I have had three packages over as many weeks sent to my address via UPS. The driver that is assigned to my route has never attempted to deliver one of these instances. I have been home for the last two months with a broken foot never more than ten feet from the door and the driver never rang the doorbell and the driver never knocked. He has never once attempted a delivery instead he chooses to take our package directly to the UPS storefront.
The last two times, with much effort, we were able to pick our packages up that evening at the UPS Hub after 5 P.M. This time, however, the driver is claiming that he has been threatened and he and his supervisor have elected to stop a SurePost package that should be transfer to USPS for delivery, hold it, and force us to pick it up from a different facility further away.
This driver was never threatened and this is just absolute harassment by a driver and a supervisor that didn't like getting called on their game. I am not exactly sure how this driver still has his job, but this is ridiculous. Here we the people are once again getting bullied about by employees of a corporation that control whether or not my goods get to me at all. This is absolutely absurd that this driver and supervisor believe they can and have gotten away with lying about delivery attempts, pitching work off, cheating the consumer, and lying about a customer to serve their own means. I am now closing this stating that this is a formal complaint and that at this time I am requesting formal corporate disciplinary action against this driver and this supervisor.

I shop heavily online with UPS as the vendor's logistical carrier of choice. This writer has had repeated incidences of delayed deliveries and two recent failed deliveries resulting in ripple effects of requiring repurchase of items or unreasonable delay in use. One specific incident, this writer paid for overnight shipping and the driver decided not to leave the package and delivered the item to an access point. I did not receive the item for five days. I demanded UPS reimburse me overnight shipping costs and had to repurchase the suit for an interview. Please note, the drivers days previous to incident, attempt & successfully effected delivery.
The most recent event, this writer ordered items that presented in differing shipments. The first delivered to my doorstep package over 100 lbs (I was really thankful because I live in an upstairs apartment), the second was reported as an attempted delivery at 7:00 pm last evening. I was home! No one approached my door or left notification of an attempted delivery (although this is what is documented in their (UPS) record). I called UPS to inquire where my package was, so that again, I could retrieve the contents for use. I have had to visit two different access facilities as well as the Center because the driver failed to acknowledge my "Choice" of delivery preference as indicate on the UPS WEBSITE.
After two calls, totaling over one hour of strife, insults of intelligence and frustration the Supervisor, ** indicates my options were to pick the package up between 9:00 p.m in an industrial area at night (please note the time of the call was at 1:00 in the afternoon) or wait until Monday to begin this saga of maybe it'll be delivered or maybe it won't.
I enrolled in UPSs My Choice program when this all began approximately three months ago and walked through the sign up process with their representative. My options were set and verified. Today, I'm told this is not the case by an extremely rude customer service agent who all but call me a liar and tells me she is not "paid by me, she's paid by UPS." And the Supervisor Lamar who was more concerned about his customer service and demonstrated no reasonable resolution outside of me visiting the Port at night if I wanted my package tonight. We live in the age of technology was there no way to contact the driver to demonstrate good customer service and recover the situation. There was no indication anyone one would ever address Ms. Rudeness. Just because a voice isn't raised it doesn't mean the responses given were not perceived as rude.
The representative repeatedly intimated and stated the account was never set up -- Yes it was!!! I and their rep verified it. Rather than offering to reinstitute the account, she continued in her unapologetic manner. The call took over an hour coming back to the same endpoint -- there is no accountability to or promise that "My Choice" of Delivery would be honored, that the current or future packages would be delivered timely or that service would ever improve. I am HIGHLY FRUSTRATED THAT THIS IS A RECURRENT EVENT. WHAT IS MY RECOURSE AS A CONSUMER.
The choice of logistical transporters rests with vendors and UPS has not policed their own with previous contacts. I am not implying this is a matter of course with all drivers, but there's a problem here and no one is listening or is fixing it. I am seeking a written response from an UPS decision maker (who can effect change) indicating how this issue will be addressed and resolved.

HOWEVER, UPS did not deliver my 70 pound mattress order to the back door. I noticed the truck had arrived through our tiny front window and so I ran out.
The delivery driver was very polite but ultimately did not do his job correctly. He told me he rang the doorbell on the front door but no one answered; the people living up there were home and would have answered had he rang the doorbell – I also would have heard it. Anyway, he did help me carry the mattress to my door but only after I asked him to help. When I tracked some of the packages online, they showed that attempts were made even though in each case, someone was home to receive them and no one knocked on the door or left notices to show they attempted.
This last incident, they returned the package to the sender stating that I refused it. When I called customer services, I was told that the reason was that they could not find my address. Really!! I went to a UPS Store to ship something for next day delivery. The representative looked at the address and confirmed that the package would get to the recipient by 1:00 next day but it would be $60.24. I figured that I would pay for it as I was sending Formula 1 tickets to my spouse, who forgot them as he rushed out to the airport and didn't check his drawer since our newborn was sleeping and he didn't want to wake her up. Anyway, I paid for the delivery of the package to find out the next day that the package never got delivered on time. I called up UPS customer service and the lady gave me an excuse that Canada has to select the broker to pick up the package to have it delivered and they didn't pick UPS.
First, there is no way for them to show me that the broker was not UPS. Second, I was the one who paid $60.24 for a piece a paper to be delivered but yet someone else made a choice as to which broker was going to pick up my package. The customer service rep basically said I can't do anything since the broker was not UPS, but of course, it's her saying that. Nothing to prove it. For $60.24, I am not using UPS anymore. Actually, as an executive of a multinational company, I'm going to stop having my firm use UPS as well. Can't believe that for $60 they are ok losing $1 million yearly. It's not the $60 as much as standing up for what you commit to. If UPS cannot commit to delivering on time, be honest and upfront with your customers. Sorry but not everyone knows that a broker is selected on a receiving end where you have no choice. IF ANYTHING STOP THE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. GO WITH FEDEX, THEY ARE UPFRONT!!!

On Friday 6/10/2016, I ordered some Microsoft software from CDW-G to be delivered from **, NV to my house in **, CA. I was told by the seller the arrival was approximately Tuesday, 6/14. Some time on Tuesday morning 6/14, your delivery driver arrived on my porch. It just so happened that my wife was gone, leaving my **-year old daughter home briefly. Due to being a minor, we had instructed her to not to answer the door for non-emergencies. As a consequence, your delivery driver left a receipt (attached).
Specifically on this receipt, it states as follows: we can leave your package(s) on the next weekday (including holidays) if you sign the back of this InfoNotice. Upon arriving home that afternoon, I noticed the slip. I followed the instructions and signed the back on Section B, where it says I authorize UPS to leave my package(s) at my address. I agree that UPS will not be liable for any loss or damage that may result from leaving the shipment.
On Wednesday, my wife and daughter were home the entire day. No attempted delivery was made. Upon arriving home at 4:45 PM, I called the toll-free number (1-800-833-9943). The automated voice mentioned that the package was left at the local UPS office without an address. As I was not certain that a delivery would still be possible even before 6 PM, I finally reached a live customer service person. She confirmed the true-ness of the automated message. She also gave me the location of the UPS office. I asked her if they could still deliver the package. She said that the next available delivery would be Monday 6/20. I then decided to pick up the package in person. The UPS office was over a mile away.
As this software which I purchased was greatly needed, the amount of time to deal with the missed connections with UPS was totally unnecessary. The UPS InfoNotice gave the false impression that there would be at least one more attempt at delivering and leaving the package. The whole idea of the customer (myself) having to go to a UPS facility to pick up the package defeats the value-added benefit of using UPS in lieu of USPS and FedEx. Admittedly, I am very frustrated with the wishy-washy conduct of your driver(s) for NOT following through via the InfoNotice.
It is common knowledge that UPS delivery drivers are considered one of the highest paid employees in the package delivery world. As such, they should be exemplary in their due diligence. In this case, he or she failed miserably. On a side note, the UPS staff at the facilities were courteous and helpful. My complaint is ONLY with your driver(s). Please rectify this perceived indifference and lack of due diligence on the part of your driver(s). Thank you.

I make these comments without prejudice but can't say I feel good about the company mentioned below. An auto repair company that is taking care of my van repairs has been waiting for a delivery that was shipped from a company within Canada (from Ontario to Gibsons) by UPS's fastest (express) service. What a joke that is. It left Ontario on the 10th and the parcel arrived in their Richmond warehouse on the 11th June.
It has sat there ever since without moving and is not scheduled for delivery to Gibsons until 15th of June. I called UPS but nobody could tell me when on the 15th it would be delivered. Just by close of business. A lot of use that is. They may as well have said the 16th. 4 days to travel from Richmond to Gibsons. The distance in total is about 40 km. If that is an Express Service I must speak a different language. If this had been sent by Canada Post it would most likely have arrived here 2 days sooner.
As this is a part for a van that I use for my business, this delay means I have had to cancel jobs or reschedule them. Thanks UPS! Personally, I do not understand why anyone would willingly use any of these specialist shipping companies for parcel deliveries, specially to Gibsons. My experience with them is also bad internationally. If you have things shipped from the USA to Canada via any of them be prepared to pay through the nose for Brokerage Fees and other add ons. My advice, DON'T DO IT! If importing from the USA you'll get a better service and pay far less costs by shipping with United States Parcel Service who then hands over the parcels to Canada Post. No brokerage fees, no hidden charges.
What you paid is the total they charge. While you're about it, if you ship within Canada just use Canada Post. Their network is great and if you ship with them you parcel won't sit in a warehouse gathering dust. It will be delivered on the day they say it will be. If for any reason such as the weather, they do not deliver on time you'll get your money back. The parcel will still be delivered asap. If you ship with them you'll still get a tracking number and you will get insurance coverage. Anyway, I hope this gives you pause for thought before placing a parcel in the hands of UPS or any other specialist shipping company. Good Luck.

My office constantly drops off packages towards the end of the day (after work) & frequently the packages arrive a day late. We figured out the problem: The UPS driver picks up packages before the posted last DROPOFF time at the UPS STORE YET, NO ONE CARES!!! The UPS STORE tells us UPS is a separate company & they don't control the drivers so I should call UPS.
UPS tells us UPS STORES ARE INDEPENDENTLY OWNED so I should complain to them. THEY BOTH FAIL TO REALIZE THAT IF THEY ADVERTISE THE last drop off time is 6 pm & they fail to timely deliver items dropped off by 6 pm they have failed to properly do their jobs. Our solution - Use FedEx or US Post Office. If you must use UPS, drop off at Staples or have UPS pick up but do not patronize the UPS store.

Three weeks ago mailed a 106 pound package with a Mercruiser Outdrive upper and lower cases, gears, bearings and shafts. Package was dropped off at UPS hub on Mercer Road in Lexington Kentucky shipping to Miami Florida. Upon tracking number the package was held over for two days in Georgia then dropped off at recipient door by UPS driver. The driver told recipients that it looked like the package has been dropped off the forklift, were off the back of a truck and he was very sorry - it was like that when he got it out of his ups truck. Resetting immediately, took pictures of the package and I called UPS damages Department. I told recipient not to worry that I had insurance. The damage Department told me they would come the next day and pick the package up.
The following day I received a phone call from damaged Department telling me they would not cover damage because it was not an appropriate box and that they would ship the package back to me within 2 days. 2 weeks later the package arrived back at my house in Kentucky in a totally different box without any padding and the top of the box was opened. All the content was missing from when it left Florida except for the broken pieces all the gears drives and shafts were missing. I made several phone calls and I'm only getting a run around. They will not be responsible for it apparently no matter what. UPS Reboxed the package and only put the broken pieces in the new box and shipped it back to me. Very unsatisfied. Terrible customer service. If you ship a package they will not pay if they break it even if you pay for the insurance and if you get it back you may not get back all your items. Beware.

Mailed a package that I dropped off at Office Depot on April 18, 2016, which would be delivered by UPS ground to Gilbert, AZ., to arrive on April 22, 2016. Got a notice that the package was delivered, but left at the front door. Receiver never received the package. I phoned UPS and was informed that the driver delivered the package to the incorrect address. So an investigation was started, UPS has GPS tracking in their truck and was informed that the driver had stopped and left the package at the incorrect address. Investigation started, the driver went back to the home and was told by the home owner "no package was left here". UPS claim that they called me to inform me, but come to find out that they took down the incorrect phone area code to notify me.
Investigation number 2, UPS sent another driver back to the incorrect delivery address, homeowner once again saying no package was left here. So they asked me to call the local Police, which I did. A officer went to the delivery address and was told again by the homeowner that no package came to here to **. I was asked to file a claim for the lost package. Now it's Jun 8, 2016, still no package found for delivery to **. Was told by UPS, after much hassle from the claims department, that since I was not the shipper, but the customer, Office Depot must file the claim, or get a release from Office Depot, so that I can continue with the claim. So, I did such.
On June 7, 2016 UPS claims told me that I would only get $100 for my lost package. I told the lady to "keep that $100, and I see you in court". My package contained 3 cell phones, 2 IPHONES & 1 SAMSUNG S7, 2 portable chargers from Costco, all brand new, never been opened or programmed. Why should I have to eat the cost, when it is UPS fault that the driver took the package to the incorrect address. I'm still paying the cost for the phone service which has never been used from my carrier, I'll sue for all reimbursements. I WILL NEVER USE UPS AGAIN, BUT SEE THEM IN COURT.

I was giving some information to the IRS that it takes some longer time, the attendant start making me feel like a thief. The attendant asked me to leave the store, I told him "You should be nice, you must show professional attitude." He asked me "Are you going to use the service or leave the store?"
The lady from IRS who was attending me on the phone heard this employee's attitude. The employee knew that I was waiting some documents, when I got into the store I asked him the fax number and I told him about the documents, so the IRS attendant suggested me to find another store. Fortunately the IRS attendant waited and hold me online to get another store; this kind of employees should not be working in this store. Every time I checked, it said it would arrive by the end of the day. Around 7:20, I decided to call to find out from a representative, the actual status. He assured me it would be delivered. I decided to wait outside. Around 8PM, I decided to call again. I was again assured that my package would arrive, and to give the driver until 8:45PM. At around 8:45PM, I called and was told by, yet, another representative that my package would arrive at EXACTLY 9PM. I decided at approximately 9:30PM, to go inside and try calling again from my house phone. It was then, that I was informed that I wouldn't be receiving my package that night.
After having waited outdoors for about 2 hours, then finding out that I wasn't getting my package, it had really frustrated me. UPS doesn't do anything for the customers they wrong in situations like this. For this reason, I am very displeased with the way UPS runs their business and the way their customer service reps lie to customers who count on their word for deliver.

Unfortunately, the item is shipped from a retailer that Sears advertises in the Sears catalogue, and UPS attempted delivery on May 20, 24th and 25th. The notices UPS left have no phone number or other contact information, and checking out the tracking number on the UPS website, all that was stated: items not delivered. Phoned Sears on June 1st and 2nd. Was assured that UPS had the parcels and would deliver. Phoned Sears on June 3rd when the rest of my order arrived, but not the 2 chairs.
UPS told Sears that they were here on June 3rd around 3 p.m., but not true. I was at my desk waiting for the Sears truck since 9 a.m. and the Sears truck was the only truck to enter the driveway at 3:14 p.m. Had I known that UPS would be involved with this order, I would not have placed the order for these two chairs. The package was sent out for delivery and I was home all day long. UPS truck never came to my house. That night I looked at the tracking number notes and it said a notice was left that they attempted delivery. They left the notice in my mail box, which is about a mile from my house. That night I called them to stop the next day delivery attempt and that I would pick it up at their office. The UPS rep stated the local office would call me within the hour.
No one called. The local office called around 10 am stating it was out for delivery. I was a little pissed off. I decided that UPS reps were clueless and decided to drive into the Bozeman office to pick it up. I arrived 30 minutes before closing (the hours of pick up 3 pm - 5 pm). After a 10 minute search I had my package. I try to avoid using them but sometimes the companies I order from do not clearly state who they are using. From now on I will pick up the packages or not use UPS. Perhaps some day I will again, when they start using up to date maps so they can deliver to my house.

I have not had good experiences with UPS to begin with and today was no different. Long story short, I give all of the graduates of a school I support some kind of personalized gift for their graduation. This year I designed bookmarks and got them express delivered to my PO Box to get here in time for tonight's graduation. UPS has delivered to my PO Box. Before though they claim they do not do that (which I found out today). So, they delivered it to some random address that I never lived at. When I called I spoke to a manager and he hung up on me when I asked him why did they not contact the shipper for an alternative address instead of delivering my much needed packet to some random address. I called back to file a complaint about the manager and UPS and the representative was super nice. She explained some of the processes but I told her I need that for tonight.
Most of the kids I do not personally know and probably will not be able to get the gift to unless the school mails it for me (which I am not sure if they can do that). I did have a lady call me back and leave a voicemail, but when I called her back on my lunch break around 11:50 am, I was told she only works until 12 and was gone for the day. WHAT!!! The other lady I spoke to said nothing can be done until Monday which would be too late. I really HATE UPS and will NEVER willingly do business with them. They have ruined my surprise for these hardworking kids. I just wanted to give them something special as a surprise that is now ruined. Shame on UPS!

I am big on online shopping because with work and my baby, I really don't have time to shop at the mall or such places. I received a package yesterday and, as always, I was so excited to open it because I was expecting to received 8 pieces of lipstick. When I opened the package, I was a little confused as to what I was looking at. I contacted the seller, and asked her what they were and why was I getting them instead of the lippies. But she had no idea what they were and confused as well. She explained that she never used UPS polymailers to package her items and uses boxes instead.
I inspected the label that was on the polymailer and parts of the label have been cut off. Possibly from a box cutter. Also the taped used to retape the label had box residue on it which suggests that the tape used was used. That's when I realized that the seller was telling the truth and my items may have been stolen during the shipping process. And I was so disappointed.

When I lived in Brooklyn, I used a UPS Access Point. All of a sudden, one day, the AP went out of business with no warning. I immediately logged into my UPS account to deactivate that AP, but that part of their site was down and I couldn't access it. A couple weeks later I moved 150 miles away. I ordered a copy of my daughter's birth certificate and the DOH sent it via UPS. I am set up to receive text alerts from UPS, and I got one saying I'd receive this package on Tuesday, May 31. Great! Then I get a text alert saying my package cannot be delivered to my Access Point. Well duh, I knew that; it's closed down. I went into my UPS account only to find that in fact I had no AP set up; it must have been changed when the business closed. So why is the AP still being triggered?
Since May 31 I have spoken with at least 5 UPS representatives, either via phone or over their help chat. I was told by 3 UPS representatives that my package would arrive yesterday, but it didn't. Why? Because, despite notes in my account to have the package delivered to the original address, the Access Point STILL gets triggered every day! And everyone I talk to seems unaware of the history of my package. Even UPS's IT dept called me and admitted there was a bug with the Access Point getting triggered, and offered me steps to solve it (set a new AP, then clear it, which I did). It's June 2 and I still don't have my daughter's birth certificate (which I need for her passport which I now need to expedite). Supposedly it is coming today! We'll see...

At 6:25pm my friend knocked my door and handed me the yellow slip from the UPS, saying.."sorry, v missed you. Your parcel is at ___ location ready for pick up" timed "6:15pm." I was extremely infuriated as my buzzer never rang. I immediately rang the customer service of UPS and the girl there took my complaint.

Customer service told me this was the driver's third attempt ALL with NO notification left (I even checked the bushes). I was also assured by customer service the item, which was a gift, would NOT be returned to the sender. I was NOT contacted at all by UPS despite staying home for 2.5 hours and watching voicemail and email all weekend.
With no response from UPS I called customer service again on Tuesday 31st and asked to speak with a supervisor only to be informed that my package was returned to the vendor in California. I called UPS' customer who contracted with them to deliver the package strongly recommending that they discontinue using them due to disgraceful and unprofessional customer NO service and poor company management.
The driver failed 3 times to leave notice of a delivery attempt. If I had not seen him running to his truck on the 27th I never would have known he was trying to deliver a package. This has cost us hundreds of dollars this year & today's reason was 'We weren't open for business' which is an outright fabrication from a driver who is out doing things other than delivering packages. We are done with UPS. We have switched either to FedEx who has an excellent track record so far or CA OnTrac which has been so-so but at least consistent or USPS whenever possible. No more UPS. I'd give a half star if that were an option. I've had small problems in the past that were annoying but not enough to get too upset about. This incident, though, has me livid and I just want to trash UPS. I ordered something pretty simple. The delivery estimate was a Wednesday. By Saturday, when it had not arrived, I checked the tracking. It said a delivery attempt was made by the receiver was not available at the time. That was odd because, according to the time stamp, I was at home, in my office which is right beside the door. Also odd because they generally leave packages on my porch anyway. I figured it had something to do with the road construction and blew it off. I'd prefer they had put accurate information on it but I could wait. Tuesday I checked the tracking again. Again it said an attempt had been made. Again the time stamp was for a time I would have been home.
I called UPS. I was told it was on the way. I suggested it was not. While ON THE PHONE, the tracking popped up "Delivered." Um, no. No, it was not. No truck came by. No person came by. There was no delivery. They asked if I wanted to file a complaint. Yeah, ya think? Tracking the next day said, "Investigation of missing package." Then it said "Delivered." Another phone call. Was told the delivery scan wasn't actually a delivery scan and it didn't mean delivered. Really? What does it mean? The first two items didn't mean an attempt was made either so why post things that don't mean what any reasonable person would think they mean? I contacted the company from which I'd ordered, let them know what was going on and requested a refund.
Got an email from them this evening that said the refund was denied because the tracking now says. "Receiver requested package be held at facility. Receiver states package will be picked up this evening." LIVID! I'd had to input my email for the UPS Live Chat option on the web site. UPS has my email. They have not emailed me. To file the complaint, I had to give my phone number, both times. UPS has not called me. How exactly did I request anything from them?! I sure as heck would NOT have asked them to hold it for me to go to them. No way! I paid for this package to be delivered TO me! I called again. Again, to go forward with a complaint had to AGAIN leave a phone number. For what purpose? Will they call? What can they say? It is Thursday evening, a week after this package was supposed to have arrived.
There seems to have been no effort on their part to do anything about this. Probably, someone at UPS is saying, "Well, she was rude on the phone so we'll show her." Because that is grown up and professional right there. And, by the way, being angry about poor service does not constitute rudeness. I personally will never ship anything with UPS. I'll stick to USPS. I will also request companies with which I do business use USPS if at all possible. I have no trust in the brown box at all.

I discovered that the package was left in front of my apt door and my neighbor said they saw it sitting there, but when I got home it was gone. The leasing office has repeatedly told the delivery guys NOT to leave packages at our doors, but instead to drop them off at the leasing office because they will sign for it. But they constantly leave packages in front of doors. This is the SECOND UPS package I've had stolen in the past year, and a 3rd UPS package was tampered with that was sitting in front of my door. So I called UPS on 4/22 and filed a claim. They put me on hold so they could contact the shipper to inform them.
Now a month later, I haven't been informed as to the status, so I contact Kendra Scott. They have NO RECORD of my claim with UPS. So UPS flat out lied to me. Luckily the shippers have sent replacements for both of the packages that were stolen. I feel bad that they have to try & get reimbursed for these lost/stolen packages, but there's absolutely no recourse for the recipients of packages delivered by UPS. They just ignore us!
In addition to this latest issue, my boyfriend & I tried to remedy the situation with another VERY EXPENSIVE package of wine by putting "Leasing Office" instead of giving the apt number. It ended up causing bigger problems because they refuse to accept that as a complete address, so the shipment was delayed and the wine has been sitting in a HOT trailer for 7 DAYS. So all of the wine is going to waste and there's nothing we can do about it. Their whole system is flawed because if no one is home, which the majority of Americans work and cannot stay home to wait for a package, they ignore instructions because they're in such a hurry they don't want to take the time to go to the leasing office. They just leave it sitting in front of the door for someone to steal which they DO.

We have had continued issues with UPS delivery. They have returned items saying no one was there to sign, so we changed the instructions with a specific place to leave the packages. Now they just don't show up and say the packages were left where we instructed. We have had empty boxes delivered, obviously opened. Most recently, two packages were not delivered containing parts I desperately need for my business. The shipper is replacing the packages, but unfortunately they are shipping by UPS again so I'm not expecting anything different. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH UPS???

We unfortunately used UPS to deliver a phone to a replacement phone to family member travelling in Czech Republic. They charged us $229.96 and the phone was supposed to arrive in 5 days. Thirteen days later, the phone has still not arrived. They did not provide the proper paperwork to my husband who sent the phone, and the phone has been sitting in customs for 9 days. No one at UPS alerted us to the fact that the phone was in customs. Nor have they provided any assistance in how to get the phone out. In fact, they continue to tell us it is not their responsibility, although they claim that shipping. We have called about 6 times to discuss with the office and they could not be less helpful if they tried. UPS has not conducted business as a professional international shipping organization should and I would avoid them at all cost in the future.

UPS over the past few months has taken 2 charges on my credit card for one invoice. I pay my bill and I check my bank account and I see one charge on my card... A day goes by and a second charge for the same amount shows up. Contacting the billing department at UPS is a circus, I think they have contracted billing department out to another country, they barely speak English. I explain my situation and get the "I only see one charge" excuse. I even got angry enough and asked for a supervisor. I emailed him a copy of my statement. But since both payments are "pending" they say wait a few days till they clear...
Well that second charge is basically held hostage for 3 or 4 days. I'm a small business owner and that money may not be a lot to most folks but it's a lot to me. It can be the difference on making payroll or being able to order parts for my customer and I can make some money. BUT NO, I can't access that money for days. I don't know why UPS does this but it continues to happen and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Normally I don't post negative reviews online or any negative sentiments online, for that matter. But sadly, UPS has screwed me over at least half a dozen times now, and settling it as a private issue is no longer a viable option. The issue at hand is what their drivers do if they can't locate an address. Do they call the number on the package? Do they send an automated voicemail/email to alert me that my package will be delayed? Nope; they just drive off! I live on a tiny street that's easy to miss. When the FedEx driver or the pizza delivery guy can't find me, they do the sensible thing and call me. So...why can't UPS? Why do they keep me hanging like that?
Here are the packages that have been delayed within the past six months, for none of which I was given any sort of alert or compensation by UPS: four separate Amazon Prime orders, a Next Day Air package which cost over $40 to ship and contained my boyfriend's Social Security card, a birthday gift to my brother who lives at a different but similarly difficult to find address.
A note on the Next Day Air package: my boyfriend and I spent half the day chasing down the driver who had the package. It was late in the evening and the distribution center was almost closed by the time we finally got it. The woman I'd spoken to at the call center was short, rude and impatient, and kept insisting that the package had been delivered. By some stroke of luck, we managed to get it; if we hadn't, it would have cost my boyfriend his job. Next Day Air means NEXT DAY for a reason, guys.
So now this means I've had to make six phone calls and for all six, I have requested that they call me next time this happens. Have they? Of course not; I'm just another petty, mewling annoyance of an angry customer to them, I guess. I am extremely disappointed with UPS' complete lack of regard for their quality of service, and their "screw-you" attitude towards customers. My only wish is that some action could be taken or some compensation could me made for the huge amount of time I've wasted trying to find out where my orders are.

UPS in my area is not too bad with delivering except the temps that are hired during the Holidays. I won an E-bay Auction for a tv. I was glad the tv was damaged, but it changed my view somewhat of the company.

May 18, 2016 a package for next day delivery (my cell phone) was to be received no later than May 19, 2016 by 3pm. UPS then decided that a no weather day meant "severe weather". I contacted them via chat (since the package was my cell phone and no home phone) with my dissatisfaction. They informed me that it would be delivered by the next day... per their website no later than 10.
This morning I contacted them via chat (since I STILL do not have my cell phone and was told the delivery service in the town I live in was informed and my package would be delivered this morning. It left there at 8:09. It is 10:38 and still isn't at my house. You can get from one side of town to the other in heavy traffic in less than 15 minutes. I just recently received an email telling me it will be delivered between 12 and 4... unacceptable. Unprofessional and dissatisfied.
I did mention this package was paid as a next day delivery. They kept telling me even after I told them there is no home phone and it is my cell they are suppose to deliver to give them my number so they could call. My response was "why do you think I am contacting you via chat. You have my only means of phone contact." Their response was to go to a payphone... SERIOUSLY?

Eventually, I am told the claim is being handled by the UPS store, who is now telling me the claim was denied. I am out $100 + shipping, plus countless hours of my time. I did enter it correctly (was their mistake). I needed my package for a certain date. They delayed it because of their mistake which was clear with my evidence. I count on shipping via UPS. I've had problems with them but let's face it - what choices are there for business shipments when some of your customers do all their business with that carrier. So today I lost shipping and billing opportunity because when I logged in to begin shipping I got an error message. Then started a round of calling and waiting and pushing buttons and answering questions until finally when I got an actual human on the phone they could barely speak English. So the entire call consisted of 'excuse me?', 'could you say that again' comments on my side.
"What was this all about" I complained. Well turns out after 20 years of doing business with UPS they suspended my account for nonpayment of a bill I didn't even have for about $21.00. I WAS LIVID. Gave them my credit card and then waited. They said 1-4 hours for re-instatement. Now I called again because it's been 8 hours and after all the waiting and interacting with a phone computer and answering all their identification questions I am now told it will take 24 hours to reinstate my account. All this over $21.00.
You'd think after 20 years they would call first. But no. When you're the only game in town you make up your own rules I guess. Of course - when the shoe was on the other foot and they destroyed a package I sent which was insured at an extra cost to me - what did they do? NOTHING. Until finally I simply gave up. That's what all of us have to do these days when we deal with companies. We GIVE UP. We have lost any credibility we ever had as the 'CUSTOMER'. They simply don't care. They don't even care to speak with us. They don't even care to give us a human to speak with who can actually communicate in English. Perhaps their customer service is in another country. I don't know. I'm disgusted. You win UPS. We did it all your way.

This has happened to me multiple times now. I know that UPS is horrible, so I waited at home all day, constantly checking the tracking to make sure I don't miss it. Sure enough, I check it and it updates to say 1st attempt customer not home. Now they're going to deliver it to a pickup location for me to get TOMORROW. I didn't have a choice because it was T-Mobile sending a phone, but we were relying on receiving the package TODAY, which is why it was scheduled to be delivered that day.
You would think that if someone is paying for next day air, they would want it the day they paid for. I called and the best they could do is try to have it sent to a far away office location for me to go pick up myself. Then why is shipping being paid for? This happens to me now more times than I actually have a package delivered. It seems like their drivers don't actually want to deliver the package, so they just pretend we weren't there (I checked the time, and there were THREE of us home, listening for the door and even checking outside), and drop it off somewhere for us to go and fetch. You have one job, UPS, and you can't even do that.

I contacted UPS to let them know that the package was not delivered, only for them to tell me that they have a contract with Amazon where I would have to reach out to Amazon in situations like this (and I have). I just think that UPS should be held responsible for not delivering the package.
Amazon has a contract with them and trusts them to be honest in delivering packages, and they did not hold up their end of the bargain. I feel that if drivers are not held accountable to misplacing or taking packages, this will continue to happen to other customers since there is no accountability on UPS's end. It would be held until May 12 and returned to sender. I could pick it up at the UPS area dispatch warehouse between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. These are hours I am always working. So now I am expected to take off from work to pick up a $12.00 package.
Called the number on the post card, which had taken 3 days via USPS to get to me and after giving a tracking number was told both by a recording and later by a live person in either India or Mexico I could pick it up at the UPS Warehouse Depot. It doesn't make sense that 2 out of 3 were failed to be delivered. Maybe UPS never checked the address and threw them somewhere. I called the online store and they are going to investigate with UPS.

UPS was to deliver a package to our house on 27 April. The driver alleges that he attempted a delivery at 5:31 but did not leave a yellow delivery notice. Since we missed the "delivery" my wife decided to work in the front yard during the day. Just before lunch time she observed a UPS truck approaching our house and thought, "must be our package coming." The truck continued on by, not stopping. The driver logged that he attempted a delivery at 11:48. Curiously this is the same time my wife saw the UPS truck pass by. No delivery notice was left again.

On April 7th, 2016 went to a local UPS store in Arlington out Cooper in TX and requested for a packet to be delivered to the hotel Now Larimar in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I paid a total of 471.90 USD to ensure the package would be delivered safely in 4 days at the hotel. The person who took my order at the JPS store said it was guaranteed that my packet with my wedding decoration was going to be delivered in 4 days and I believed him. I declared the packet content for a value of 300 USD since it also had sentimental value. I trusted the packet was going through UPS, but I came to find out days later they had used DHL once I figured the tracking number provided was not valid for UPS.
I contacted the hotel to ask for my packet and the hotel delayed on responding, but when they did they informed me no packet had been received. I got really upset and disappointed about their customer care because after paying such big amount to ensure the delivery nobody even bother to call me to say there have been issues with my packet overseas. I tracked my packet and it showed to be in pending clearance for over a week in an airport in Santo Domingo. I contacted UPStella and all they did was to blame DHL even though they had failed to informed me they had used DHL.
I contacted DHL and someone took my case and said they would look into it and get back to me on April 25th. I couldn't wait till the 25th without knowing the real status of my wedding decorations!! So I called DHL in Dominican Republic and came to find out my packet has been retained in custom due to pending taxes and nobody had bother to notify me! Why nobody would contact me or the hotel when I had paid a lot of money to ensure the packet was delivered to the hotel? Now, what is worst is that when I requested an invoice from the DHL in Dominican Republic for taxes, found out the person who coded my packet committed a huge mistake and declared value of my packet declared for a value of 660 USD! The double of its cost.
I called UPS to request an explanation and also an invoice of the value declared at the store, but the manager did not cooperated with me and stated she could not refund me or do anything about it because she had no control over international laws! Really?? I insisted I had been guaranteed and had paid a huge amount for their services, so my packet was delivered door to door and they had lied to me. I told them they should not lie to their customers, charge them and guarantee something they couldn't.
Moreover, that her personnel had made a mistake in the way he had coded my decorations and I was being overcharged due to their error and my wedding arrangements were in jeopardy so I needed that documentation reviewed, she did not care bit!! Till this day I still waiting for her invoice and a call back from DHL in the USA. What a lack of responsibility and committed to their customers. It's been the worst experience ever, please do not use any of those companies unless you want to lose your money and items!! Tracking # **.

For the past month, UPS delivery has become terrible. We have a delivery driver who refuses to ring bells to deliver packages. He simply leaves the packages outside in front of doors. I live in Manhattan (NYC) and we've had several packages stolen as a result. I have called to ask that he ring my bell as I work from home and am home 95% of the time and able to accept my packages. All my requests have gone unheeded. He continues to do as he pleases. Last week he left a very expensive package outside of my front door, and because I was unaware it been delivered, it remained outside all night. It was just coincidence no one stole it.
I have been calling and complaining and now the UPS dispatch center and driver are targeting me. I was expecting a package from Amazon and instead of delivering it to my door, they diverted it to one of their UPS Access Points where I was expected to go and pick it up WITHOUT my approval. When I called to ask why the customer service agent lied and told me Amazon had requested the delivery change. I knew that was false and called Amazon to confirm. UPS LIED! When I finally got a UPS customer service supervisor on the line, he confirmed Amazon did not request the change. UPS customer service swears up and down they will fix the issue but NOTHING gets done. Apparently, they have no control over the dispatch centers and drivers.
Yesterday, I had to go to the local UPS retail store since they lost a package I was sending back for the item being the wrong size. The UPS counter agent told me the dispatch centers have been telling their drivers to NOT ring bells, but to simply drop off packages, to NOT scan packages and if no one is home (if they even attempt to ring the bell) to sign for the package as if the recipient approved them leaving it without a signature. Apparently he said the dispatch managers are under pressure to increase productivity at the expense of the customers!
This is unconscionable. When you pay for a service, you expect that service to be delivered. The only way UPS will hear us is if we call them and complain but not calling customer service, but their corporate offices. I have contacted my local TV consumer complaint division and they are contemplating doing a story on this issue. Also contact your Consumer Affairs complaint boards and anyone else you can think of. This is simply greed and uncaring behavior once again of a big business doing what it wants without regard to anyone else.

I was very clear with the rep at the store that this was a fragile box full of fragile memories. She assured me she would mark it appropriately. When the box was delivered to my condo and received by the concierge, the box was broken on all of the sides, the bottom was ripped apart and there were NO fragile signs visible. Every piece of glass inside the box was shattered, every piece was either bent or broken and several things were missing. It looked like the box had been dropped off the truck and then run over. All of the memories gone. There were no notes, or no acknowledgment from UPS about their liability. On 04/11 I received an email from UPS that I had a package coming and it would be delivered 04/13 between 1:45-5:45 pm. On 04/13 I checked the status and as of 6:39 am it was on the truck for delivery. I arrive home at 6:25 pm and no package or note that the package had been left at the leasing office, which was still open. At 7:07 pm, I received a text and email that my package was just delivered and left on the door. I'm immediately confused as to why whoever the person was who delivered it did not attempt to knock on the door but when I go to the door there is no package. I immediately call UPS who continuously tells me it was delivered. I advise I can read both the email and text but I was sitting home and never heard anyone pull up and nothing was delivered.
My address was verified and I was told in the morning someone would get with the driver to find out what happened but the driver, who at this time could not have been more than 5 minutes away, could not be reached. I am told to get with the shipper, as if it were their fault. I get an email at 7:14 regarding the next steps for my missing package which basically tells me I cannot submit a request for investigation until 24 hours have passed from the delivery time but someone would call me in an hour; I never got that call.
I called at 4 pm 04/14 and was told my package was delivered yesterday at 7:07. Again, I'm pissed because it's as if I did not speak to anyone yesterday and advise nothing was delivered. This person kept telling me per the shipper's instructions it was to be left no matter what and he didn't seem to understand it was not left. He also told me he could not leave notes on the file and I needed to speak with the shipper about reshipping it. I get to speak with a manager, who just like the past person said, repeated the same thing except she could make notes. I don't think she did, because I was so upset about receiving notice the package was delivered when it obviously was not.
It's a shame that the only time I do not have an issue with receiving a UPS package is when it is actually delivered by USPS. I do not know why any company would use UPS as their preferred carrier because this is the 3rd time someone has had to resend my shipment (who knows what the driver is doing with all the women's clothing and shoes).

I took the time to write personal notes on 50 individual Christmas cards to send to a former workplace in Monterrey, Mexico. I included $300 in gift cards. The padded envelope that contained all the cards never even made it across the border into Mexico. It came all the way back to Georgia where it was "damaged," meaning "never to be seen again." And I, as the shipper, was never even notified.
I started complaining but did not hold Store 0328 responsible. When the Smyrna store management said they wanted to reimburse me for the missing gift cards, I appreciated them reaching out. They said UPS had approved the reimburse in December. However, it was all a ruse. I supplied receipts and waited five months, assured repeatedly that the check would be cut to put things right. Today, I was told that UPS doesn't have to reimburse. Mind you, I never asked for it to begin with. The way that the management of Store 0238 in Smyrna, Ga., handled the situation only made it far worse.

Don't use if you want your packages. On 3/18/16, I had ordered a package from Amazon.com. Noticed that the package was shipped out via UPS on 3/21/16 and was expected to be delivered on 3/25/16. On that Tuesday, 3/22/16, I had a schedule change with an appointment on Friday, which meant that I needed to have the package delivered by 3 pm since the appointment was at 4:30 pm and I wouldn't be home until after 9 pm.
Well I requested the time frame for a two-hour window immediately after I found this out. I set the window from 11:45 am - 1:45 pm for delivery. Got a confirmation and even had the $8 deducted out of my bank account. Then comes the delivery day of 3/25/16. The tracking number stated at 10 am that it was out for delivery. So I figured good...nope. At 2 pm, I contact UPS to figure out where the package is, to be told that no one was home. So I explain that I had been home the entire time. Then I got told by the person on the phone supposedly working customer service, "I just spoke with the driver, no one was home, don't ** lie." I hung up. Went on Facebook and contacted UPS. Gave all the same information and was told that the delivery was shown to be on the truck but the driver was behind in the route. I explained about the 2-hour delivery time, which I paid for, and was told I should have the delivery in the next hour.
At 5 pm, I contacted them once again via Facebook because I still had not had the delivery and stated that I had to cancel my appointment because of the delivery. Was told that the driver was around the corner...yeah right! The driver was around the corner, getting hammered at a bar. He showed up at 9 pm, smelled like he'd bathed in beer, and pulled up halfway into my front yard (not the driveway which was 10 feet to the right). Then he proceeded to scan the package and looked puzzled when the package said late (because I paid for the delivery window and this was well beyond it). I said it's because I requested a 2-hour window 4 days ago, and he proceeded to tell me that they don't do that - that they deliver the packages when they feel like it. I'm sticking with FedEx or even the USPS, at least I can expect my packages' delivery time.

Let me preface this by saying that this is in regards to the second delivery today so a package had already been delivered to me with no problems about an hour previously. Today I was waiting on a package containing a gift for someone I'm having dinner with this evening and who will be leaving the country in the morning. I was sitting at my desk less than 5 feet from my door and thought I heard something. When I opened the door I found the sticker with the info notice that the driver had tried to deliver the package but failed. However, no one even knocked on the door. I am sitting, literally, right here and would have heard it. I immediately called the number on the back to see if the driver can come back by and drop it off. Instead I am told that customer care will be calling back within the hour.
Later, a rep calls to tell me that the driver cannot come back today and he will be back tomorrow, which entirely defeats the purpose as the person I'm giving the gift to will be on a plane to another country tomorrow. I asked if I could speak with someone else about this and then the manager Deborah picks up (completely unenthused and kind of brash sounding) and tells me that this is one of her better drivers and he's got a lot of business deliveries to make today but she has asked him to drop it by later this evening. She said it won't be 10pm or anything but it will be later this evening.
I am thoroughly disappointed. One, in the situation itself. The driver must have a lot of deliveries and be feeling the pressure to either knock so lightly that someone sitting right beside the door can't hear it or to just assume nobody is home and just leave the info notice behind. I really can't fathom another way this could have happened. Two, in the terrible phone etiquette and customer service I received just now. I am in hospitality management so I understand what it is like to be overloaded and still have to apologize to customers over issues. I felt thoroughly brushed off and unimportant. I'm sure I was rude to Deborah at the end of the phone conversation but I became really upset at her clear lack of concern and being made to feel like the issue was insignificant and I just don't matter and they have lots of other business deliveries that are more important than mine.

The owner of this franchise used an old address, also in Michigan, already in the computer, rather than the address I listed on the packing slip. Obviously, my sister never received the package.
I addressed this with the owner and returned five times to get reimbursed for the value of the contents and shipping fees, $127.00. He was rude, unknowledgeable about procedures and wanted my sister to go to the address she hadn't lived at in over three years to collect the package. On the fifth visit he told me to call before coming in in the future. And when I asked if he was the manager or owner, he replied "Oh no, we ain't going' there". I have had it with UselessParcelService. Not only do they destroy every package they deliver, IF they deliver it - they have instituted a new "It's up to the driver's discretion whether a parcel is left" or not. It is no longer up to the payer - the sender or the receiver - but the delivery guy who decides if, when and where a package is delivered. No matter if it's a $600 phone or a $2.50 pack of gum, that the parcel is destroyed or crushed into pieces; as long as "An Adult" signs for every single parcel, UPS absolves itself from all liability. I signed a Driver Release 5 years ago releasing them from said responsibility. No matter - they blanket my door with yellow slips anyway. Why: their war cry is that it's the sender's requirement.
In fact that is a lie, it's a UPS requirement. However, UPS will leave the parcel as long as I sign the back of the slip and leave it for the public to see, yet driver refuses to leave the parcel in the secure, designated area @ the security camera. Now they are not even trying - they just dump everything at the new Access Point. Being disabled I cannot retrieve packages from an access point. In the past month I have alerted all of my 20 online retailers that if they continue using UPS as shipper of choice I am no longer a customer. My list is long and includes Amazon, Best Buy, Groupon, Home Depot, PetCo, PetSmart, Sears, Staples and so forth. The artwork was packaged with Artwork/Mirror/TV boxes (DOUBLE BOXED), extra Styrofoam, extra bubble wrap, glass corner protectors, and "FRAGILE/GLASS INSIDE" verbiage on the outside box. We secured the package with a $500 value and had receipts showing the cost being above and beyond this amount to create the artwork. This package was delivered with (3) three MAJOR holes in the outside box that also penetrated the inside box. Corners of the outside box were totally separated and caused damage to the inside box as well. Long story short, the artwork was TOTALLY DESTROYED and all we received from UPS was "We are sorry your package was damaged, but your claim is DENIED due to 'improper packaging'"!

Again, in hopes that the company had improved from my last experience - I attempted to have a very important package delivered to me via next day air. Some genius at UPS thought it was a good idea to attempt the delivery at 6:50 AM and again at 7:50 AM - before my company was even open. Came into work, found the slip and waited from 8:30 AM till 4:00 PM for the package. Nothing ever came.
I called and they told me that they wouldn't attempt to deliver the package until 6:30 AM the next day. Even after I told them that my company doesn't open till 9, she said there is nothing they can do about when packages are delivered. I'm sorry - but I find it extremely hard to believe that any person is up and/or around at 6:30 AM to receive a package. The sun doesn't come up until 7AM - but UPS still thought it was a good idea to start shipments at 6:30 AM?
Now, because my package will never be successfully delivered to my company - I have to go stand in line for the next 2 hours at a "shipping facility" that's the size of a public restroom. Not only will I be crammed into a room the size of a minivan, but I'll now have to wait in line for the next 2 hours - to receive a package that I paid 25$+ on shipping, to ensure that I had it in my hand the next day.
Never again will I ship with UPS. I would rather pay another company double what I would pay UPS, because now not only am I out of the cost of my shipping money (and still have no package to show for) but I have to go waste the most valuable asset we all have. Leaving packages on my stoop was safe and reasonable. I used Prime Mail for prescriptions and Amazon for most everything else. I ordered smoke alarms from Home Depot several months ago and never received the merchandise. Subsequently I was told by UPS that they had delivered the merchandise to my stoop on a certain day. I knew this was not true because I am home 99% of the time and on that date I was home every minute, checking several times for delivery.
Of course I filed a complaint, as was my right, and UPS fought it and "investigated" it but eventually conceded. That should have been the end but it wasn't. From that time on, UPS has refused to leave anything on my doorstep and requires that I personally accept and sign for the merchandise. When I have complained to UPS about the difficulty for me, the delivery people are very arrogant and one of them said "you shouldn't have filed a complaint". This is clearly retaliation by UPS. Since I must order by mail, accepting packages mailed via UPS has become a chore involving putting explicit notices on the door, abandoning all other home projects, and hanging around downstairs to be sure that I catch the UPS guy before he rings the bell or knocks and runs away with my package.
Today I was expecting a prescription delivery which I thought would be another carrier (DHL) as it usually is. To my horror, since I desperately needed the meds, it turned out to be a UPS delivery. Now I am old, but I am not deaf and I did not hear a knock or a doorbell even though I was home all day. But I received one of those "Sorry we missed you" notices on my door which means that I will go without my meds for two days waiting for "next weekday" delivery. UPS has behaved despicably and has caused me much pain and suffering. There was never a problem leaving packages on my doorstep until the one time where the fault absolutely was with UPS and I had the right to complain. I do not know what the order number was. It was sent by Prime Mail pharmacies.

2 OF 3 PKGS ARRIVED. Started at 2:37 - it is now 6:42. Since my customer needs the items this weekend I have called 3 times to go through phone hell to tell the same story 3 times: "It is out for delivery" and "They will call you in 1 hour." They do not provide a direct line to the service center they are contacting and you can't reach the same person - so you start ALL OVER AGAIN! I've been on for 25 mins and the SUPERVISOR is now calling them directly. Latest is they will call me back in 45 mins max to tell me if they will still deliver... I gave my cell phone in hopes of a return call and better yet - my customer's product. 1 phone call would have prevented this...

I ordered something on eBay. It was shipped quickly. I received a slip from UPS... I wasn't home and it called for a signature. Odd, the slip was attached to my bottom right corner of my door, near the sidewalk. I didn't see it right away and when I did, it was blank... nothing checked and no address for pick up. So I called UPS... and called... and called... sworn at BY SUPERVISORS, laughed at, called names, ignored, hung up on over and over. No one cared, but when I got mad and after about 20 calls I was mad, I was called abusive.
So finally, a rude supervisor decided to assist. She told me to read the back of the UPS slip and sign the back. This gives permission to the driver to use that signature and leave the package without me being present. She said to put a note with it for him to check the back. I did... still not left. I called back (many times) and was told it would be delivered the next day - no show... I was there ALL DAY. 1 vacation day down the tubes. So, they gave me another delivery day and I stayed home again, opened my blinds to see outside and kept watch. Well, they must have come at a brief time I wasn't "at my post." They didn't knock or ring the bell (and my car was outside... obvious I was home) but put another blank sticker on the door. WHAT???
So I called over and over... NO ONE CARES. I finally got a woman who said, "The notes show how much you have called. You will never get your package now. We hate you!" I asked over and over for the address to pick it up, as you can't find it on Google. I finally went on Facebook. I found UPS and PM'd with Sara who promised me (have in writing) that the package would be delivered Saturday at 8 AM. Never happened and she won't reply any longer. So, after about 60 calls, I got the phone # and address for the pickup location and was told, "Come on down... open until 5. We have your package." I took my handyman, hired to install as a witness and am glad I did.
They said, "Oh, you have a lot of notes on your account. I need to call a supervisor." I said, I don't want to argue... I just need my package. 15 minutes later, out comes someone named Dawn and a supervisor who refused to give his name, and who said, "We are pissed and won't give you your package... it's going back to the shipper Monday." I said, "you can't do that. You can't tamper with the mail - unlawful!" He didn't care and withheld the package. The original woman said, "You will never get it, and it's beautiful... will look nice in my kitchen." They laughed but that made it pretty obvious that they opened it. Dawn used a lame excuse, "We can't get to it. It's in one of our trailers and we can't find the key!" REALLY???
It has now gone back to the shipper and I am still calling... well over 70 calls. They refuse to refund the shipping and will not get the package back. They STOLE my package! I was told they wouldn't deliver it, as I was abusing the drivers. I NEVER saw or spoke to a driver! I am filing suit. No work ethic... corrupt! Beware! UPS is no longer a decent company!

No note a delivery was attempted. Yesterday, 3/22/16, package 2 of 2 arrived and Pam had help this time -- it was a tall package. Her supervisor, Lou **, told Pam she was not allowed to go to the office and deliver box 1 because it was signed for and not their responsibility!! I ordered a laptop through an Amazon seller, and before it arrived I realized it was not what I needed. I contacted Amazon and the seller to arrange for a refund and was told by Amazon to contact UPS to stop the shipment and have it turned around. They warned me I might have to pay a fee for this and to ask first. When I called UPS, the customer service person said yes, I could stop the shipment and send it back. I asked if there would be a fee and she said she didn't think so, but she was going to double check. When she came back, she told me that I could not turn the shipment around, but would have to wait until it was delivered and refuse delivery. Which meant I had to wait 3 days before it could be sent back.
I refused the delivery on Friday, March 18. It is now Tuesday, and the package has been sitting in Secaucus NJ since Saturday. When I called UPS to find out why the package was still there, they told me the information I had was wrong and that the package was in transit. I read the tracking information to her exactly as it was on the screen, including the three entries from Saturday, Monday and today, saying the package had been received in NJ, to which she said there was no shipping on Saturday. I asked when the package would be returned to the shipper, and she told me I had to wait until NEXT MONDAY. So, apparently the package is going to sit in NJ for however many days, because why? No one knows. Meantime, I can't get my refund until they receive the package next week. This is unacceptable.

I'm disabled and don't get out, except for rare doctor appointments. Thus my caretaker and I are here during UPS delivery hours.
Package 1: On March 17, 2016 UPS said they would be delivering a package. We waited for them to arrive and as I said we're home and waiting. Instead of seeing a truck stop and someone come up to our door, we got an email saying they missed us and the package would be at an UPS Access Point. I contacted UPS explaining (A) we were here, (B) didn't see the truck come here (might ended up at a similar but thus wrong address), and (C) I can't get out to come to an Access Point.
The person promised to schedule a redelivery for the package for March 18, 2016. Come March 18, 2016 and again the UPS truck did NOT appear. I called and they promised the package would arrive on March 21, 2016. Again NO truck stopped in front of our home and no one came to the door to deliver the package. Three promised dates and NO ONE SHOWED UP FOR ANY OF THEM.
Package 2: This is a package from Amazon.com. Like the first package, UPS had an original date of March 18, 2016. Thus package 1 and 2 should show up. As no one from UPS stopped by using any form of transportation, the package went to the Access Point, which might as well be 1,000 miles away! I called UPS and they promised it would arrive on March 21, 2016, which it did NOT.
QUESTION: Is this UPS Access Point a way for UPS drivers to get out of doing their stops? I ask this based upon my experience of THREE times drivers were to stop by and they never did drive to our location, stop, and come to the door. What they did do was go to an UPS Access Point. Based upon these observations, I'm wondering if the UPS driver looks at Access Points as a way to save gasoline, reduce wear on the truck, and a way to do something other than deliver packages? I don't know and this speculation is just my wondering. I'd love to know what the driver was doing instead of coming here on say Monday, March 21, 2016 when the UPS 800 # promised both packages would arrive. PLEASE NOTE: We have ZERO issues with other delivery companies, such as Amazon Now, Amazon Couriers (different from Amazon Now), FedEx, DHL, USPS. These firms deliver on their first attempt 95% of the time with us!

I got the runaround from UPS. Finally I threatened to file to the higher ups. Neither was there a tag saying attempted delivery. I finally got hold of a live person - and another carrier was coming out... But it was Monday or Tuesday... Still not funny. Apparently new drivers or p/t carriers want to take off early on Friday. The first carrier gave a generic description, but he didn't describe it right. I want the guy to be fired and will file a restraining order if I feel threatened by him.
I checked "UPS complaints" - good lord, lots and lots of complaints. Times are tough, doesn't mean UPS carriers (and USPS are like that) - don't short customers, esp. elderly and handicapped. I stay home most of the time, and the zip code I'm at apparently there's lots of thefts. No reason to screw me. Fire that thug who thinks s/he can get away with telling lies. We properly packed our 55 inch television and shipped it to our son in Greensboro NC. The driver that picked up the package said that we should not insure it because we are not manufacturers and UPS won't cover it anyway. So we took his advice and did not insure the TV. Turns out that UPS damaged TV along the way.
We've spoken to the gentleman that loaded the box onto the truck for delivery and he said the box was in good shape when it was loaded. The driver showed up to deliver the TV and the box was open. The driver proceeded to show our son the damaged that was caused and said that he would file a possible damage report. He filed it and brought a copy of the report to our son. The driver told us that UPS doesn't like to pay for claims and will more than likely deny ours as well. We tried anyway! After filing the claim, it was like pulling teeth to get UPS to respond to our claim. Finally, we called again and they said that the claim was denied.
So to sum it all up... 1. UPS told us not to add insurance on the box. 2. The UPS truck loader said the box was in good shape when he loaded it in Greensboro NC. 3. The driver recognized that the TV was damaged on the way to our son's house and even filed a possible damage report. 4. UPS doesn't want to pay. This is just wrong. $1000 plus $160 for shipping is now completely down the drain. This has to be resolved properly.

I ordered an optical lens on a Friday (selecting expedited delivery). The vendor chose to send the parcel through UPS. The UPS driver decided to leave a note indicating a signature requirement for delivery; however, checked the boxes indicating if I signed the back of the form, they would leave the parcel there the following business day. I signed the form and left it on the front door. On returning home, I found a new notice (as well as the one I had signed from the previous day left there as well). The notice stated the same thing, that I could sign the back of the form and they would redeliver the following day; however, as this was their second attempt, another failed delivery would return the parcel to the sender. I called UPS to file a complaint.
The agent on the phone barely spoke intelligible English and I could barely understand what they were saying. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The individual kept trying to talk over me as I had to finally raise my tone and again (5th time) ask for a supervisor. The individual stayed on the line (you could literally hear them breathing) and after approximately 20 minutes, someone picked up the phone and said, "This is Derek, how may I help you?" I was able to get, "Yes, I would..." and Derek hung up. I called back.
After another runaround of trying to get through to a supervisor, one came online and after explaining to them the incompetence I was experiencing, he informed me I could pick my package up this evening from the UPS facility in Virginia Beach at 1390 Air Rail Ave. He informed me that he would get in contact with them, report the problem and they would call me back so that I could confirm that they would have my parcel waiting for me. I confirmed with the supervisor, "So I will be able to pick up my package this evening then?" And he again stated that I could and it would be no problem, he just needed to contact them to let them know that I'd be coming in to pick up the package.
After I hung up, I checked the hours for the UPS at 1390 Air Rail Ave, and it closes at 6 pm. So, in sum - UPS has some severe integrity issues. Multiple misleading and false notices on my door, disregard for customer service by personnel, and blatant incompetence, or outright lies just to get someone off the phone. I would recommend using USPS, FedEx, or another carrier over these folks any day of the week, which is what I will start requiring on any vendor I will be dealing with in the future.

I changed the address on the website by reentering it the same way it was already written. Called the company after the delivery hours to see what happened.

Not to mention the contents of this package is supposed to be kept cold. Which I mentioned to the reps on the phone, not really a concern of theirs, passing the buck is a concern for them. My husband and I have probably called about this package about 4 to 5 times. There is no reason for this crappy service!!
UPS employees keep relabeling my packages to other addresses instead of delivering it to my house (which is the correct address given). You call them and ask them where your package is and they will name off all these address it went to and was refused at, then you ask why the package is being relabeled? They will tell you it is computer error. Let's see, it is taking a human to label my package and put the incorrect address in the system.
Then after no answers to why this is happening, they will give you a supervisor supposedly and they go through the same crap "we have to get you in our system". After 3 other times I should be at the top of this system in bold letters as much trouble as I have had. Can anyone in this company do their job??? Last I heard they attempted to deliver my package at my old address. I call Altoona and I'm told "if you live in Philipsburg we don't take care of your package, that is someone else in St. College". We just purchased raw land in Somerset CA. It is a rural area and we do not have a physical address for our property yet. Our local post office is where ALL of our mail/packages get delivered. We receive on average 2-3 deliveries per week. If it is not possible to be delivered to our PO Box, we choose General Delivery and it is held for up to 1 month for us at the post. FedEx and DHL have no issues with this. UPS will only make the delivery if it is being shipped "smart post", apparently some deal worked out between UPS & USPS. If a package is shipped regular UPS ground, they will not make the delivery! This means that I have to make a 3hr round trip to Sacramento just to pick up my package. The best part is that it's only available for pick up Mon-Fri 3:30pm-6pm!!!
It makes no sense at all. The post that they refuse to deliver to is in town right off the highway. They demand a physical address other than the post office that the driver passes multiple times each day. Once we get our address, UPS is going to wish they could drop it off at the post, instead they will be traversing a 3.5 mile mountain dirt/mud road that they'll probably get stuck on. I informed UPS of this as well, they still don't care. Even though they will not deliver the package, they still load/unload the package from the delivery truck everyday! This means the package drives past the post office a handful of times each day without being dropped off. A picture of stupidity.
Asked UPS to hold the package for us at their warehouse until we get back in town in 2 weeks. Was told they couldn't hold our package for us and they would be returning it to the shipper! Zero customer caring/service! I said, "can't you just stick the package in a corner of your massive warehouse until we are back in town?" Was told no! UPS has stopped caring! The package label envelope was damaged in transit such that the shipping address was no longer legible. UPS then took it upon themselves to look up a previous address in their database (old apartment address) and sent the package with daughter's credit card to someone else. UPS never notified me that they damaged the package and had an illegible address. I could have given them the correct address over the phone. They gambled on sending it to an old address, wtf?? No apology and the investigator was rude not just to me but the UPS agent who was helping me!!! The UPS agent that helped me actually filed a complaint against the UPS investigator!! NEVER will use UPS again. Check out the opening scene of Jim Carrey in Pet Detective, it is based on UPS and that scene is how UPS delivers!!

Paid 115.20 to have a gallon of product, I needed it for a event I was leaving for that afternoon. It did not show up. So we sent another gallon out the next day I had to pay a employee to drive it to me 6 hours away. Called and they refunded some of the shipping cost not all but I had to pay a employee to bring it. Then 2 days ago I ordered a package and was supposed to be delivered Monday at 8:00 pm. I called and they said the address did not exist, funny they was just here Friday. So today I taped our conversation, what an eye opening conversation. How big is too big. Now I had to put packages on hold and drive 18 miles to pick up and the lady I talk to said (O Well) "What can we do"!

I have been a customer of UPS for some time and have been having this same problem with the same driver that does this route and even though I complained to the company nothing changes. I even put down in my account to put the package on my patio if no answer, cause apparently waiting a minute is too long for the driver to wait, and I still get a notice left on my door that they will redeliver or I can come pick it up. The driver was just taking off when I came out and was waving at him, but he still drove off even after looking at me directly.

My package (a check) was returned to shipper 3 times (missorted by UPS) before finally being delivered to me. It took 14 days to finally arrive. I paid UPS $25.00 for 2 day delivery and a $50.00 late fee on the bill I was paying with the check. I tried to make a claim by website and by phone, no one would help. One agent finally said a Manager would call me back. That has been over a week ago. From reading the other posts I guess I should not wait on that phone call.

UPS attempted to deliver a package to my home last Tuesday. We were not aware that it was going to be delivered and we're not home to receive it. They did however leave a notice on our door that they would attempt to deliver it the following day. I contacted them Tuesday evening and advised them that we would not be home on Wednesday. They advised me of several options. We agreed that it was best that they would deliver it to one of their stores and advised me that the store would call me once it was in their inventory.
When I inquired as to the phone number and hours of operation of the store, the UPS agent said she did not have that data. I was able to find it on the Internet after our conversation. Never received a phone call from any UPS store or agent. It is now Friday. I called customer service only to find out that it was delivered to a different UPS location - one affiliated with a 24/7 gas station. Who knew? Of course, when I called Customer Service, they apologized but...

UPS has decided that it's beneficial to drop packages at the Post Office for delivery. They're too lazy to actually deliver to an actual address. Too cheap. I don't know. Well what happens when the post office only deals with PO boxes? The package gets sent back to the shipper. UPS has always refused to deliver to PO boxes. You need a physical address to have delivery with UPS. Think about it. I've dealt with several shipments where I explicitly tell the merchant who uses UPS NOT to ship with SurePost. Somehow UPS overrides the request. I've spent hours on the phone trying to sort it out and the merchant usually ends up re-shipping through the postal service. Totally ridiculous, and I'll be dealing with FedEx or some other shipper from now on.

Ugh! UPS and its forced-down-your-throat "enhanced residential service" is a nightmare. The company apparently changed its terms and conditions to leaving your package at an independent UPS store (which, by the way, the one I talked to said it is not affiliated with UPS) for "my convenience" and without my consent or beforehand knowledge.
I live in an apartment complex where most packages are left at the leasing office. Not UPS, it is apparently now in charge of all that is and the lowly customers can chase down packages or go without! What a business concept. At least UPS is making USPS look good! So I've called to request my package be delivered to the address on the label. Customer service said they would do that. Somebody at UPS lied to me, because UPS refused to deliver my package. They insisted I pick it up. I am not able to do that.
I called again and was told a supervisor would call me in an hour. No call. I asked for an email address when I called for the third time. They have none. I don't know if this is really the CEO David Abney's email, but there is a webpage with his and 7 other VP's emails on it. Dabney@ups.com. Mr. Abney, I will be asking all businesses I use to not use UPS. I have found UPS to be an untrustworthy company that does not provide the services it was paid to do. I am asking you to look into how your company is operating because from my point of view, this is unacceptable.

Shipped commercial exhaust fan on pallet. Fan metal strapped & screwed to pallet all 4 corners, covered fan with heavy cardboard & secured cardboard with staples into wood. Cut cardboard out where it could be picked up by dolly on opposite sides of each other. Marked box on all 4 sides to pick up by pallet only. On top of box, marked "do not place any heavy objects on top." From Alamogordo, New Mexico, UPS shipped one to New Jersey, one to Oklahoma and last one to Louisiana. Customer in Louisiana was only one that received the fan severely damaged and the crate and cardboard missing. UPS denied my claim, because I did not know the thickness of the cardboard. I responded I knew the thickness of the pallet. Why was the disappearance of the pallet the fan was screwed to, not a concern for UPS? UPS still denied claim, because of unknown thickness of cardboard. UPS just lost a Shipping customer.

Looking further into my package, I realized 1 of my items were missing from the box. It seems like these package sorta's are opening the packages as they are sealed, removing items and resealing the packages as they are when they are shipped from the manufacture. This is not the first time this has happened and it's so frustrating and makes me not wanna utilize online shopping. Something really needs to change about this and there needs to be some kind of resolve.

I ordered some goodies last week. My package was scheduled for delivery on Friday and I signed the shipment release online as I knew I wouldn't be home. I received an email that my package was delivered at 12:22 p.m. When I got home there was nothing on my front door. Thank goodness my landlord installed cameras all around our fourplex last year. So we looked at the footage to see who might have stolen it. Turns out the package was never delivered. A UPS truck drove past the house at 12:20 but never stopped. I called UPS, but they're refusing to take any responsibility despite me having proof or even search for the package. They claim that they're not responsible because I signed a shipment release. Yes, I sure did. I signed for the shipment to be released at my front door. Not somebody else's!!

Because I'm pretty sure it's all for the employees rather than the people, aka customers, who keep their business alive. First let me just say that I'm 8 months pregnant and I live with my disabled mother. I had a king sized mattress delivered to my house and in this wind and rain storm, the box was left by my gate. No knock on the door to notify us that it was here, and had he knocked I would have asked for help to just bring it through the door, not all the way to the room. And get this I call UPS and they tell me it is not their job to knock and notify, or to even carry heavy items even over 50lbs in the house. I got no apology, and an answer that left me speechless. It's not their job?
The lady on the phone had the audacity to tell me to call next time in the morning to request it. I'm sorry but if you're going to provide a delivery service, the service should be better than that. There are people all over the world who are not able to carry these packages into their houses and we have to ask for it? I would have thought it came with the job description. So delivery service just drops off packages and nothing else? I work in retail and my title is sales associate however I am required to go above and beyond for my customers, offering is part of my job and no I don't get paid more for it. I'm pretty sure UPS drivers get paid more than I do and they do just as their title says. Well then they did do their job, regardless of the people who pay for their service, that need their help!
My Mother and I were able to slide the mattress in slowly but surely. An hour later, my mother is out of breath and on her breathing machine, and I'm in my doctor's office waiting for my sonogram to make sure I didn't hurt the baby in my tummy with my 17 month old son as I type this. I'm glad that my package isn't broken or damaged which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. However, the way I see it right now is that the package I'm carrying is far more important. Never again!

On Tuesday, February 16, 2016 I sent my mothers insulin through UPS paying a $53.00 overnight delivery charge. Today is Monday the 22nd and the package is yet to be delivered. By now her insulin is ruined due to the heat and when I called customer service they stated that the policy is to file a report and wait an eight day investigation period before they can help me. So a hard lesson has been learned. Going forward I will use FedEx because they deliver on time. It may cost a little more up front but the save in the long run.

What's more, I've never seen them get my package successfully back to their warehouse for pickup within the time frame they've stated. I'd rather be told something I don't want to hear than a lie. I spoke with UPS after they failed to deliver a package. They left a missed package notice on my door saying it was going to be left at a "Access Point". Well I'm not sure what an Access point is but it's NOT a UPS location. I regularly have packages delivered to my home and live only .5 miles from a main UPS hub. So I was surprised that they elected to deliver a package addressed to me to some in my opinion random business more than 4 miles away. I sent my wife to pick up the package. She said she was not comfortable going into some random business asking if we had a package there.
We have real concerns about safety. Who owns this business? Do they do background checks on their employees? What's their security protocols for storing packages? Why would UPS not leave a phone number only an address? UPS did not have any answers for me on these issues. They did tell me I could open a MY UPS account so I could set preferences, I'm not sure why I need a UPS account to just get a package delivered to my house? UPS seems completely disconnected from their customer base, even at the main Hub I get marginal service at best. I now have to wait another few days to receive my package and who knows if the driver will leave it or not. It's up to them. The package is from the company I work for. It's a critical part for a customer who I have a trip scheduled to see. I guess they will just have to wait.

UPS Ground Freight (UPSGF) abuses its tariff in violation of public policy. This complaint is the result of my six month struggle with UPSGF. Many acquaintances have commented that they would have abandoned this claim, and only because I was a retired lawyer who had the time and knowledge to sue UPSGF was settlement achieved on the eve of trial date.
1. UPSGF unscrupulously employs customer signed delivery receipts to deny claims. In July 2015, I paid $392 to a UPS store for packing/shipping/$2,000 extra value to transport a 4x4 painting from Raleigh to Denver. The receipt stated: We guarantee your package if we pack it. Upon arrival, the driver wanted to be on his way and asked me to sign a delivery receipt which I did without reading. Unpacking the crate took 1+ hours and I discovered the frame was broken, which was confirmed two days later by UPSGF's own inspector. After duly processing the $1,000 claim per UPSGF instructions, the claim was denied because the signed delivery receipt would indicate the shipment was delivered in the same condition for transport by UPS Freight.
At my request the Raleigh UPS Store disputed the denial and assured UPS that this painting was not damaged upon arrival at our store, was not damaged in the packing process, or when it was picked up by the UPS Freight driver. The UPSGF claims agent, who never saw the painting or packaging, ignored this new evidence, again asserting All damage must be noted at the time of delivery. Our declination is based on the fact this shipment delivered clear without any exceptions indicated on the delivery receipt.
UPSGF well knew that Section 11(3) of its own Tariff (UPGF 102-I) stated that Delivery receipts without written notice of damage are (only) prima facie evidence that the shipment was delivered in good condition. UPSGF's spacious second denial of this claim, in the face of evidence which overcame its prima facie defense, demonstrates bad faith abuse of this tariff provision.\
2. UPSGF's Diversion Tactic to Avoid Responsibility. My claim having been twice denied, I filed a lawsuit in Denver Small Claims Court on December 10, 2015. In January of 2016 UPSGF shifted tactics and asserted a new Tariff defense (in a corollary BBB case) that my only claim was against the Raleigh UPS Store, which like other UPS Stores, are independently owned and operated businesses and are not agents of UPS. (Tariff 15) Whether a UPS Store is an independent contractor or an agent of UPS is a question of fact for a court to decide; a tariff which usurps this issue is against public policy.
UPS advertises itself as a nationwide delivery service with some 5,000 UPS Stores in every state of the union. To the ordinary consumer the UPS Store and UPS corporate are one in the same, just as McDonald's franchisees and McDonald's, Inc are the same. Tariff 15 seeks to create a Russian nesting doll maze of 5,000 separate entities for customers to navigate. UPSGF Tariff 15 is against public policy on other grounds as well. The dispute in my case (and many others) was between the consignee/owner of the damaged goods and UPSGF. These are the real parties in interest, not the UPS Store which has not been damaged. Moreover, a UPS Store has an inherent conflict of interest when asserting a claim against UPSGF since it is a franchisee subject to oversight and subservience to the UPS conglomerate.
Yet another flaw in Tariff 15 is many UPS Store/Shippers reside in a distant state from the complaining customer. Even should some long arm statutes allow suing the UPS Store in the consumers resident state, the UPS Store would have no assets in the customer's state of residence. Another suit would have to be filed in the Stores resident state to enforce a judgment hoping there would be Store assets subject to levy.
Conclusion: My 6 month long struggle resulted in a full settlement by UPSGF on the eve of a February 2 trial date. I expended some 25+ hours reviewing UPSGF's 77 page tariff, procuring witness statements, and researching the complexities of the Carmack Amendment (which exempts UPSGF from the penalties state consumer protection statutes would otherwise apply). The ordinary consumer, especially one who pays for extra value coverage, should not have to run this gauntlet of spurious defenses.

Left my packages at a Porn Video Store. That's just the beginning. Their "access point," a service they tout constantly, is a porn video store. Bars on the windows, no sign lit at night and a collection of not-so-favorable guys hanging by the front door smoking. Seven times I was promised calls by supervisors about this, seven times nothing. I had a really nice light fixture returned to shipper because I wouldn't go in that store (after dark is my only chance and the place is frankly, not safe). I bought a giant "deck box" that locks and put it on the porch for packages. Two signs by door. Not good enough. Still takes packages to porn store. They require a signature in "my neighborhood." (Today's interaction was the first time they admitted to redlining their services based on their impressions of a neighborhood. I live in a nice neighborhood. Teachers, architects, engineers, cops).
I tried to get signature release, but because UPS has deemed my neighborhood not safe, they won't offer that for me. Yes folks, UPS changes its available service (but not its prices) based on what THEY think of your neighborhood. Yet they have no problem sending a woman to a disgusting porn store to pick up her packages. My Amazon Prime has become worthless. Except I paid for it. UPS is the sole reason it's worthless. Fourteen times over three months I have asked to speak to a supervisor or someone who cares about the whole access point mess and no one has ever called. No one. Not a soul. Now that I have in writing (online chat) that they discriminate due to neighborhoods, I guess the FTC is the next stop. Because one thing for sure, UPS does not give a damn about a customer. They're like the phone company of old. “We don't care, we don't have to.” Well UPS, where's Ma Bell now?

So I wait 2 days, 3 days, and even 4 days, thinking it was a minor delay due to the inclement weather (Snow) that the company was "facing". I am the type of individual to support businesses and allow room for mistakes because we are all imperfect & make mistakes. That being said, I was very calm and allowed additional days for the delivery. By the 7th day, (for a 2 day service) I went to file a complaint but could not do so because I was not the shipper.
