In mid February, I finally heard from the store that did the original shipment, and after confirming my address again, I got a full refund for the claim and the shipping charge. Resolved with a successful and effective response from UPS.

    Original Review: Jan. 23, 2018

In December I shipped a package via UPS to our home while we were on vacation, timing it to arrive after our return. There were a number of items in it, including some resin Christmas ornaments that were double boxed, padded and wrapped in a box, surrounded by padding inside the shipping box. When the box arrived, it had been handled very roughly. One corner was badly bashed, and two items were broken in the inner box, which showed no damage itself. The impact had broken the ornaments.

I filed a damage claim because we had insured the shipment. It is now five weeks since we opened the claim, and I looked up the status online on www.ups.com. This was a waste of effort because you can't get any information, even with the tracking number. The claim appeared to be stuck, with the investigation marked as complete, but no further processing occurred. I phoned them, and after wandering through telephone hell for a while, I ultimately found a person who said I needed to call the store WHERE I SHIPPED IT! They had my contact information, my address, my info from when I made the shipment, all of which was the exact same data, and I'm supposed to call a store several states away.

The number they gave me was a wrong number, to boot. I called the number on the receipt and after two tries, the phone was picked up. It's a UPS store, so they are helping customers as well as doing the shipping, answering the phone, etc. I don't fault them for that, but I was totally ready to redial that number all afternoon if that was what it took to get an answer. The nice lady that answered got some information and is looking into it. My claim isn't a huge one, but now it's a cause. If they were going to deny it, they can contact me and tell me so. Instead they just decided to let it go away. I don't go away. I get even. So here I am on social media, and my next stop is Yelp. I think I can find a couple of other places to place reviews.

So the upshot of this, don't ship stuff via UPS. When I've had occasional insurance claims with the post office, I get resolution in just a few days. I ship a lot of stuff for eBay transactions. All that goes through the post office, and they've been good to me. UPS has been polite, but useless. I was considering shipping our luggage on future trips to make travel easier, sending it ahead to the hotel where it would be waiting. I'm not going to do that now. Future shipments will go via USPS or the other guys, FedEx Ship Center. I will update this as progress is made... if any. Off to repost this in other places!

We called UPS to ship a repair item to the US. Purolator arrived as their local partner company. We didn't have any UPS waybills and the agent took the package and completed the waybill in her van. She was provided with insured values, a reference number from UPS for the 3 day expedited shipping option. She completed the value as zero and chose ground shipping. The repair was urgent and this is causing huge delays. The shipment was held back in Richmond as there was no commercial invoice attached.

We don't ship abroad and didn't know about this requirement. This was rectified and we again expressed that the package must be expedited. At this point I was dealing with a manager who said she'd make sure it happens. Today I was emailed and notified that the package is shipped to the US by ground. Instead of reaching the US as originally planned on 19 January, it will now reach there on 29 January. The service experience is poor.

As a customer who has had no resolution for 4 months, I am fed up of being thrown around from one place to the other. This is in reference to the claim I submitted. To explain the situation, I was submitting for an official Indian Visa document. The Indian Consulate has outsourced the handling of visas to Cox and Kings (CKGS). I had submitted my application on CKGS website and paid for the UPS charges.

Turns out in this process, UPS completely lost my package. When I say a package, I mean an official Indian Passport Visa document. After numerous attempts and dealing with the most unhelpful customer service I was told to just submit a claim. The worst part is no one even took the pain to track down the package. They kept telling me that it is probably sitting in one of the warehouses in Chantilly but they have no way of finding it. As per them, the driver lost this package completely. I had to waste so much of my time filing police reports, going back and forth to CKGS and the missing time from work.

I was able to get in touch with CKGS and after paying a penalty of $100 I was issued a replacement for my Official Visa Card. As part of the Indian Consulate anytime you can’t submit the original PIO card (passport document), the penalty is $100 before they can issue a new one. However this is my issue... I submitted the claim, however the issue is even though I paid all the payments, the shipper is listed as CKGS. When the claim is processed please only send it to Marisse ** who is the assistant manager at CKGS. She has assured me when the check would be issued by UPS I will be reimbursed. Turns out UPS has refused to reimburse for the $100. CKGS has told me that they can’t do anything further because their policy is to charge $100 for a lost document and they can’t help me with the claim reimbursement as this is UPS fault. CKGS didn’t lose the document, UPS did.

UPS on the other hand is the most ignorant, rude and arrogant. Forget ever getting an apology. They just sent me a check of $67.28 for the original shipping cost. They have blatantly ignored to pay me $100 for the penalty I had to pay because of the UPS fault losing my document. I would never ever ever use UPS again because I find them to be unethical and ignorant when it comes to customer service.

Normally I like to use FedEx or UPS for sensitive mailouts but this time using UPS was a huge mistake. This is the tracking record of my envelope that I overnighted on 1/17. This is ground shipment mind you. It went to El Paso back to Albuquerque where it stayed 3 days and just left this morning 1/22 to Hobbs this morning. I will never use UPS again and advise any to use regular USPS or FedEx.

I have always referred to UPS as the big brown toy truck. However, their shipping methods have caused me to use USPS or FedEx whenever possible. I ordered parts for my outboard motor on 1/16/18. I needed them to get my boat back up and running for an event on 1/20. I live in the Houston, Texas area, and the parts were coming from Georgia. The company graciously paid for 2 day air shipping. UPS tracking shows that they started the shipping process on 1/18. With 2 day Air, I still should have had the package on 1/19. However, I noticed at the top of the page that it said "rescheduled delivery date 1/22". I followed the tracking and saw that instead of heading straight to Houston, it went to Alabama, then north to Tennessee, then further north to Louisville, Kentucky. It showed a departure scan from Louisville at 3:20 am on 1/19, and the tracking hadn't been updated since then.

Since that time, the page now shows "scheduled delivery date 1/22". I have encountered this before with them. They charge insane fees for things like next day air or 2 day shipping, but they seldom make those dates. I once paid for next day air for a part, only to receive it 5 days later (and it was coming from a city 4 hours away). That almost wouldn't be that bad, except when I called for a refund because I didn't get the service that I paid for, I was told that they can't guarantee those shipping dates. Hey UPS... If you can't guarantee a service that you charge extra for, why even offer it???

My mother waited at my home all day for a package, when I came home I found the UPS "We tried to deliver your package" notice on the door- obviously not because she was there all day specifically waiting for it. The next morning, today, I signed the notice and put it on the front door. When I opened the door I saw the UPS truck up the street delivering another package, so I waited at the window. The driver stopped in front of my home, sat there for 10 minutes, then drove away. I called customer service and they were no help, and as they state that delivery can happen up until 8 pm, I had no choice but to continue waiting. It's now 10 pm.

We ordered two computers, one from Staples and one a custom build. The Staples computer was supposed to arrive first. I hung around the house for three days, only to be told by UPS I wasn't home to sign for it, and now it is lost. Staples sent another one, both computers are in limbo because first we were told weather prevented its delivery, even though FedEx and USPS both were delivering. Now dispatch has told us the driver does not "feel safe" driving up our rural driveway. Even though it is 16 feet wide with no potholes. Fire trucks, cement trucks, FedEx regularly drive up our road and UPS picked up from my business for 20 years. Now a new driver is afraid and they won't service us. In the meantime they won't cooperate and meet us to give us our computers, my husband has to drive an hour on Monday to get 3 grand worth of equipment from them. If they do not want to deliver to rural areas then they need to say so. We are very angry.

Honestly how do companies have utter lack of communication? I called UPS as they needed to deliver equipment to my business, which was supposed to be delivered on the 18 but they delivered it on the 17 when no one was there. We were not notified of the delivery at all. As we are a new business that is not yet open no one was there on the 17th. Fast forward the 18th, I call UPS, spoke to customer service and am told they need a letter of authorization from the previous carrier as to who will incur the fees then they can ship out the equipment.

The letter was sent and I called back. Spoke to UPS customer service who called their service dept/dispatch and advised they received the letter and would ship out tomorrow. Today is that day, we have been waiting since 8am, called UPS. They said they haven't received anything. Spoke to dispatch manager and he said they received the letter at 9:30 but no one told them to deliver it today. Which is a LIE! That is not at all what I was told! All the trucks are out and they cannot deliver until Monday. My business is at a complete standstill. I'm a very pissed off consumer!

I ordered a laptop from Amazon for two day shipping, to arrive on the 17th of January. As it was a costly item it required a signature upon delivery, so I opted to have it delivered to a UPS dropoff location (my first mistake). The changes would not take effect until the 18th I was told, which I was fine with. On the 18th UPS did not deliver it to the requested dropoff location and instead attempted to deliver it to my house, which I was not there for. I later found out from UPS that the original dropoff location was "full and not accepting packages" even though I literally went inside and found this not to be the case - they also never informed me of this when I selected this location in the first place.

So onto today, the 19th. UPS tells me that I requested the package to be sent to a totally different delivery facility (which I did not) which would result in an additional delay leading to it "possibly" arriving MONDAY January 22nd. They selected a new dropoff location that closes at 6 pm and informed me that the driver doesn't enter the area until 6 or 7, so how does that make sense? I contacted two levels of UPS customer service only to be given boiler-plate information they read off the computer. They would not help me in getting it delivered and they did not even give me the courtesy to allow me to come pick it up.

Overall horrible experience, would give UPS in NYC, specifically the Bronx a ZERO star rating if possible. These are the same people who on a regular basis claim they tried to make a delivery AND who leave a slip on our door but do not even ring our bell to try and get our attention. HORRIBLE. Use any other shipper if you live in NYC or the Bronx specifically.

If I could give UPS a zero I would. Time after time I've dealt with so many issues with these people. TWICE I've had packages that said delivered that were NOT THERE. The first time it was deliver HOURS later. And now the same thing is happening. Said it was delivered at 4, called at 6. They said they would call me back within an HOUR & let me know what's going on, 2 hours later & still no call so I call them again (both times the person I spoke with had horrible English so I couldn't understand anything she was saying). They said they tried to call & no answer. And they did NOT try to call me. My phone was on, full service, and I wasn't on it for the entire time I was waiting. She said it would be too late to try to call the driver now, that it would have to be resolved in the morning (when I'm leaving to go out of town).

All while I'm trying to explain to her the reason I'm so angry (because they keep putting delivered when it's NOT). She keeps just talking over me huffing and puffing. So these people are so incompetent that they cannot simply put DELIVERED WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY DELIVERED & DELAYED WHEN IT IS DELAYED. Both times so far I'm on a wild goose chase looking for my packages making sure they were not stolen or delivered to the wrong house. Not to mention, they almost have never delivered on time. If I can chose from now on FedEx or a different delivery service I will never deal with these incompetent rude people ever again! There's a reason this company has TWO STARS. I would suggest training your drivers to maybe have some common sense and your customer service employees have some decency. Never have I dealt with this from FedEx.

I had the worst experience dealing with this company and I have had my share of awful experiences. I was just shocked that I was actually dealing with the 'UPS World Headquarters.' My address was 'undeliverable', even though I have received packages from other delivery companies including theirs. My package was sent to an access point that was 45 minutes away. Why? There was an access point that was just about 15 minutes away from the address that package was to be delivered to. I called on a Friday to have it re-sent. I called on the Monday to follow up because I still had not received my package. I was told that it had not been sent yet and that it can take up to 48 hours from my re-send request date for the package to arrive.

The next day I called to inquire, I was told that my request was not processed. How? When I spoke to two different people on two different days about it? I spoke to a supervisor who told me that she would personally ensure that they pick up the package the next day and deliver it to me. Nothing. I called the next day and the supervisor again promised delivery the next day. Nothing. I called the next day to have my package returned to the sender. Six days later I receive a call from the supervisor to follow up. Really? I have the names of the people I spoke with. Never again. I have learned my lesson. I would request that another company be used to deliver my packages and not UPS. Never again, even if I were to live right next to or opposite an 'access point.'

I keep telling them that I HAVE NO LABEL, UPS was supposed to bring the label, put it on and take the package. I have spoken with numerous customer reps, 3 supervisors and some person keeps calling and telling me they are coming the next day but tomorrow will be day 5. When I ask for the number of the local office, they tell me they can't give that number out, I have to go through the mail number. So I am no closer to getting the package sent. I would cancel but already paid for the pickup. I really think their system needs a rehaul and people should be held accountable. But big business protects themselves. So I am stuck in a hamster wheel, spinning around, waiting day after day.

And the packing was sufficient. $40 TV box with foam inserts and corners... Another 5 phone calls later asking once again why I haven't heard from anyone, and they replied "we're not liable for damage"... However, there have been recent thefts that have been reported in my county. The driver disregarded specific placement on front porch. Driver ignored the No Trespassing sign on the fence gate. And it was a good thing the dogs were not in the backyard.

However, the driver placed the two large boxes on the back patio to the side of back door. The packages were not in plain view for someone to steal. Therefore, in spite of placement of packages on front porch and disregard for No trespass on gate, the driver was proactive to ensure the packages did not get stolen. Thanks for being concerned. It will take me about 15 minutes to prepare and electronically file the complaint. Once UPS is served it will have no choice but to either hire a lawyer to appear at a pretrial conference, or to resolve my complaint. The sad fact is this is such a pitiful company in resolving its own errors that a lawsuit is the only way to get Justice, and more people who have problems with this company should do the same.

The facts are simple. Ordered three iPhones from Sam's Club. They used UPS as the Shipper. UPS lost the phones in transit... they were never delivered. UPS keeps playing games... supposedly its investigation is supposed to take eight days (what could possibly take 8 days to investigate a package never delivered?). After my wife spent 60 minutes detailing exactly what was purchased for a formal complaint... UPS somehow neglected to start the investigation process. 15 days later, when the information was again provided them... in detail... they closed the investigation claiming they did not have enough detail on the package. UPS never bothered contacting us to get more information, nor did it contact Sam's...it simply, unbelievably... despite knowing exactly was in the packages.. .closed the account. Rather than deal with this rogue, dishonest company... a suit is much easier.

As for Sam's, they also wipe their hands off the situation. All they will tell me is file a police report. So we are joining Sam's into the lawsuit. Let Sam's lawyer come to Court and tell the Judge we need to file a police report. Let's face it... these companies do this intentionally... they never admit. More people should grab the bull by the horns and file a lawsuit when these rogue companies treat us as poorly as they do. It's inexpensive and easy to file a lawsuit in your local small claims court. You don't even need a lawyer to do so. Don't let them get away with it.

Then it went out for delivery on the 13th so day was rearranged to facilitate getting the package and it never arrived. Signature required is an outdated technology. Not being able to track your packages in real-time is unsatisfactory for a company in 2018. UPS needs to get out of the Stone Age and get on board with customer service.

I tell her I've lived here 4 years and you guys never find my house and I always have to pick it up 40 minutes from my house. I ask her to hold it at the center and I'll pick it up on Monday. Today is Saturday. She says she can't do that. I tell her I want to speak to a manager and she puts me on hold. I wait on hold for 21 minutes and finally hang up and call back. The automated system asks me if I want to pick up my package at the ups center. I agree and schedule to pick it up on Monday??? Really!!! Worst customer service ever! My recent experience with UPS has been bad. Because UPS is not supplying drivers with trucks that will navigate the poor weather conditions in Maine packages are being delayed sometimes by 4 or 5 days. It's amazing that a company that is willing to spend 25 million on Tesla trucks is unable or unwilling to buy a few 4-wheel drive trucks to enable deliveries deliver on time. Amazon Prime guaranteed 2-day deliveries are impossible in the winter and most stretch out to 4 or 5 days. My neighbor was waiting for some overnight medication to be delivered from the VA and because UPS was unable to deliver he now has to wait 5 extra days (they don't deliver on weekends and Monday is Martin Luther King Jr day). This is seriously messed up. I don't blame the driver at all, it's hardly their fault that UPS does not supply a vehicle that is safe to drive in the 5 months of ice and snow that we get in Maine?

I have 2 boxes that are to be returned and paid for by the company requesting return. According to their own flyers, call set up pick up and UPS will pick up. I went to the Official UPS website and it's clearly states free pick up. No charges will apply. When I called to schedule, I was told there is a $15 fee. I stated that their own website states no fees for pick up. I was told to bring it to a drop off location, which I already tried but the boxes do not fit. I was told to go to a UPS store which I stated there was not one in this small town. Knowing I was disabled, 1 telephone operator and 2 supervisors told me to go look and stop the driver and give him the packages. Shocked, I asked how do I do that? Do I stand out in my rural road waiting for the truck to go by and wave my cane or shall I stand out in front of the truck when it's going 55mpr down my road. The representative and supervisors were rude and did not help the situation.

They told me it's not false advertising. It's generic advertising. I repeated the words not only on their own websites but other websites under Google and it clearly states No fees for pick up, no charges will apply!! All they did was blame the other company for having the wrong tracking numbers. I kept explaining that my complaint has nothing to do with any other company but UPS for advertising free pick up, no charges will apply. That by their own words, no fees or charges will apply for pick up. All they did was deny and were extremely rude. Not professional at all. And when I asked for their names again, omg... extremely rude about it and only have a first name. Never did they apologize for their behavior, their false advertising or for telling me to go look for the UPS driver. All they wanted was my money.

I told them that their website states no charges apply for pick up so by charging me, it's illegal. It’s like bait to state free pick up and then charge the customers. UPS did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation but were very rude and I am offended and was discriminated against as a disabled person, I'm told to go look for the driver and give him the boxes. Especially since I did try to have to the boxes dropped off but they were too big for the drop off location box. All my resources were exhausted. UPS did nothing to help but were rude and discriminatory to me. SMH...

I contacted United Parcel Service about their apparent inability to deliver a package from Amazon to my physical address. They had just delivered a package from Amazon on Tuesday to my physical address no problem. Now on Thursday of the same week they find my physical address as undeliverable. I ask to speak to the customer complaints department, the package was deliverable as determined by U.P.S., was told by the U.P.S. employee that there is no complaint department and how could she help me. After we determined that there was no reason the package could not have been delivered, except through driver error, (all their fault) the best they can do is have the distribution center call me at 10:00 am and schedule another delivery attempt.

Of course that is after all the trucks are out delivering packages so I probably won't get my package now until Jan 22 or maybe Monday (unclear). When it states very clearly on their web site "they will attempt delivery the next business day" which would be today Friday. So they lie. I've lived here for 20 years. We have had no rain or snow, for over 90 days, to hamper delivery. Well if you are going to complain about U.P.S services you will need to do that here as United Parcel Services has no ear for it. THEIR SOLUTION WAS TO HANG UP ON ME. We both were very nice to each other. Their solution was to hang up. Mine is to say beware of unscrupulous U.P.S. drivers. And use Federal Express. They have never had a problem delivering to my physical address.

Paid $95 for next day air service. Delivery took 4 days. I could have sent it with USPS priority flat rate envelope for $5.65 and had it there in 2-3 days. But this customer wanted next day air so I did what the customer wanted. Then the customer was mad at me for delivery taking so long. So I called customer service. First they said next day air doesn't mean you will get your item the next day. I said they should change the name and not charge people 15 times as much for it then. After a bit of saying there was nothing they could do finally they said I couldn't make a claim yet. I had to wait another day.

So I called back the next day. They kept telling me that the tracking number I had was invalid. We kept repeating it back and forth to each other so I know it wasn't a communication error but they didn't want to deal with the claim so they kept claiming it wasn't a valid number. Then they abruptly put me on hold while I am repeating the tracking number (again) trying to get me to hang up. They kept me on hold for 40 minutes but I was determined.

Finally someone else picked up and said yes the tracking number was valid, the service was much later than promised and they would send me a refund. Somehow my tracking number only became valid after they realized I wasn't going away. I asked for a confirmation number for this refund and they said they didn't have one but it would show up on my account in a few days. Now I'm waiting to see if they keep their word. I ship with USPS and FedEx multiple times a day with little to no problems. This is the first time I've used UPS in a few years and I definitely will never use them again. It's sad how persistent you have to be just to insist on not being screwed over by this company.

On Dec. 20 I shipped a package from Ohio to my son to Washington with a guaranteed delivery of Dec. 22. I asked the girl at UPS if my son could pick up the package at his local UPS store the next day (Sat.) if he was not at home on Friday. She said that he could and that she would add that to the shipping instructions. He was not at home Friday, but there was a note for him to go to 3901 Main St. in Vancouver, WA to get his package.

I am sure you can see where this was going. The package was not at the Vancouver UPS store and my son was told that they did not know where it was. He stopped a total of 4 times over Saturday & Sunday (they were open 24 hours Friday, Saturday & Sunday), but the package never showed up (and they never attempted another delivery until Tue., Dec. 26. I went back to the UPS store where I shipped the package and they immediately told me that they are not UPS, but rather a UPS franchise. I was told that they would not refund any of my expedite shipping costs ($59) and that I had to call UPS. What an undertaking it was getting through to a UPS CSR too. The CSR told me that she could see in the instructions that the package was to be taken to 3901 Main St. In Vancouver if no one signed for the package on Friday. However, she said she could not help me and to contact the UPS Refund Dept. Ah, another adventure to be sure!

After finally reaching the refund department and actually getting to speak with someone, they said that I had to go back to the location where I shipped the package from. That's the same location that told me I had to get a refund through UPS. After Two emails to UPS Cust. Service, I was provided with a phone number directly to the UPS Refund Dept. I just spoke to them and of course, they will not refund any of the shipping costs because they operate on "business days" and if the package was not accepted at the residence on Friday, the next business day was Tuesday.

I would emphasize that the location in Vancouver was open 24 hours on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, but apparently only to "take" your money and not to hand out packages. What a joke. The best part was that the person at UPS in Vancouver told my son that she did not know where the package was either, yet she had all of the information in her computer. Rest assured, once you paid for the shipping costs, NO ONE at UPS will accept any responsibility for any delays or non-delivered packages. Just another giant corporation ready to steal money from the unsuspecting general public.

Long story short, I ordered a package from Los Angeles to Calgary. The package made its way to Canada in one day, where it was then under the care of UPS. I checked my tracking information every day which was not updated for 15 days. I called them over and over and they lied to me. They told me the package was in Richmond, BC and that it was would be at my house the next day. The next day, when the package didn't show up I was told it was at the warehouse of the company whom I had ordered from... this company doesn't have a warehouse in Canada. Then I find out that my package is sitting in Concord, Ont... If anybody knows the slightest thing about geography you'll know that Ontario is on the opposite side of North America to Los Angeles and Calgary. Why my package is here? I have no idea and neither do they. I've been waiting a full 30 days for my package as of today.

They are hard to contact and the customer service is just really bad. On top of all items mentioned, they are very expensive in case you need to return the purchased item. Have you ever had the experience of your house being robbed or vandalized? I have. For me the worst part was spending months afterwards looking for something and then realizing it, too, was part of the theft. I have used UPS for over 30 years and had come to feel they were one of the ‘good guys’. My wife even wrote, in one of her newspaper columns, of the warm feeling she had when she saw the ‘big brown’ truck approaching. Most of us have experienced betrayal in our lives but rarely are we asked to pay for the ‘service’. It would be easier, and quicker, to spend 6 months of your life collecting the things that were useful and important to you, putting them neatly in a box, and then dropping the box in the nearest dumpster! Here is the story: All that changed with this last shipment. Now I feel like I was robbed and my shipment was vandalized.

In November I shipped 3 boxes of personal belongings from my summer house to our winter place. Two arrived on the date they were scheduled. The third was on the manifest but not on the truck. “Probably back at the warehouse”, the driver said. After a few days I began to be concerned. Now, I understand when a company handles 16.8 million packages a day mistakes can happen and things can get lost. My issue is not with the package having been lost, but rather with how they handle ‘lost’ packages. Tracing it on their website they changed its status from ‘out for delivery’ to ‘return to sender’ [which was me, only 1500 miles away]. I called their customer service number to ask who authorized the return and that is when I found out I was not even considered their customer! Their ‘customer’ was their franchisee (the “UPS Store” in Middlebury, VT) so they didn’t really even want to talk to me!

To make matters worse I found out later that, as punishment for asking, I guess, every time you call the UPS customer service directly, they ‘reset the clock’ on their search. I next talked to Josh, the owner of the UPS store in Middlebury VT [store #2601] and he assured me he had successfully re-routed the shipment to where it was supposed to be delivered in the first place. I actuality, although he dutifully repeated the lies he apparently was told by the ‘real’ UPS, he seemed as powerless as I was to get an accurate status or even location on the package. Working through Josh now I was told that they had ‘internal procedures’ that ‘allowed’ 4 days for this, 10 days for that, etc. I had to call Josh after each of those ‘allowed’ periods had expired to attempt to get an update on the status.

What really happened, as near as I can tell, is-once the ‘real’ UPS acknowledged it as being lost, they do a quick search and if it doesn’t turn up it is easier to pay the insurance than to actually try to find it. If it turns up after their quick search they just put it in the dumpster! And this, with at least 3 securely taped address and return address labels firmly affixed along with the UPS tracking stickers, While I prefer to think that their employees get to take what they want, so that at least somebody gets some use out of our stuff, it is obvious to me that UPS doesn’t CARE and are primarily interested in CYA. At this point I have replaced the items that were replaceable and mourned and then ‘thanked’ the lost items that were irreplaceable.

I guess all that is left to do is deal with the as yet unknown remaining items that I look for in the coming months and then realize they, too, were part of the theft. So, my conclusion is: If you are shipping stuff that you want, DON’T USE UPS. If it is stuff that you don’t want, why are you shipping anyway? I would strongly recommend you find a different option to have your goods moved and would love to hear any suggestions from anyone for other ways to get packages from Point A to Point B.

For the last several weeks, UPS Philadelphia has managed to botch every single delivery for us. They keep trying to deliver our packages in Philadelphia, even though we do not live there. Our address is not ambiguous and has been here for about 100 years. The tracking info says 'incorrect street address', which is not true - they simply keep putting our packages on the wrong truck. I have called UPS multiple times to complain, nothing has changed. I have tried having packages delivered to the UPS store nearby, which also failed since they did not manage to deliver there either. One package was routed to Connecticut before they noticed and routed it back to PA. The latest snafu is an important 'Next Day Air' package which is now a week late. FedEx, USPS, Lasership, Amazon Logistics - none of these have been problematic for us. UPS is trying very hard to win the 'Worst company of 2017' award.

It arrived in CT and didn’t move DEC 24, 25, 26. One was Sunday and one was Xmas so I get that. But not moving on Tues the 26th? So I call up and automated service says it’s waiting for pick up at my local office. I call back and grab a real person and they tell me that yes it’s 1 mile away waiting for pick up. I go to the local office and guess what. It’s not there. Employee was very nice and helpful, even gave me a number of a higher up at the warehouse I was at. Call this person (who was very rude and short) and find out it’s still in another warehouse 45 minutes away. Where it’s been for days. I told them I’d pick it up but was told no. It’s in a sealed trailer. That was 9 hours ago. According to their tracker, it still hasn’t moved.

Great customer service at the local level - higher level personnel are rude, their knowledge of where your packages are is inconsistent at best, and there is no commitment to delivering packages on time. FedEx had everything in 1 day early. Unfortunately the computer was shipped UPS so everything else doesn’t matter because it’s useless without my one package being held hostage by UPS. I will never use them personally. 8 days now for “express” shipping. My package is still only 45 minutes away - 54 hours later and I’m not allowed to pick it up.

I was suppose to receive a package by UPS on Dec. 22nd by "the end of the day." I signed up for notifications by both text and email. The only notification I got was when it left California and then on Dec. 22nd at 4:09PM saying that the delivery failed!! Why wasn't I notified prior to that?! Why did it arrive before "the end of the day"?

Why such lack in effort when they knew it was so close to Christmas? Aren't the customer important anymore? Is there no longer a significance to get the customers our packages to have for the holidays? Another thing. How is it possible to live in a world of cellphones and internet, yet if you reside in an apartment building that has no buzzer, that customer can't be contacted. How that's possible beats the hell out of me. Now I have to get out there in zero below weather to go pick up a package that was meant to be under the Christmas tree!!!! Christmas is over!!! I was told by a "supervisor" on 12/22, finally, that if I was willing to pick it up at Niagara Falls customer center, I could get it on Sat 12/23. On 12/23 another "supervisor" said it couldn't be picked up until 12/26, because the customer (me) requested a delivery change to 12/26 to be picked up at customer center. (wrong!) (It said the package had arrived at Niagara Falls at 7:04 AM 12/23.)

The second "supervisor" had told me that it had to sit on the truck because there wasn't enough manpower, to unload it. The clerk also told me that the "supervisors" don't even work for UPS and they don't know what they are talking about. She also said, "It's Christmas! People are so mean over a package". I don't know if the driver ring the bell but there was a note stuck to my door to go to a different location to pick up my package. The following day while I went there and my package were not there and I called them and they told me my package was there. I went back the following day again my package not there. Now my son has no Christmas presents besides socks and underwear to open because everything that I paid extra to get it shipped by Christmas UPS once they attempted to drop it off at my house never took it to the destination where it could be picked up. After that I went out in a storm to go get those packages because they told me it was there the 23rd. The Driver had 3 days to drop my packages off at the next location. He never attempted to drop them off. They just told me to go pick them up.

Never informed me that they would never dropped off. Just made me waste my time and my gas driving around looking for these packages and they say to me, "Oops sorry. We'll see you on December 26th," so besides socks and underwear my child has nothing to open on Christmas because when I wasn't home they automatically take this stuff to Stop and Shop and drop it off so they're not even attempting to contact their customers. They just stick in those paper notes on doors because it's easier for them and then they don't drop the stuff off at the second location. They just post a note and drive away. Go to the next one. Post-It note and drive away and then don't even drop the stuff off. They get paid good money to drive around and put packages on stairs. They're not walking like a postal worker so they taking their post-its and just pop them on people's doors so they don't have to do their job.

I think I should be reimbursed for the extra money I spent to get my deliveries on Christmas that I don't have for my time, for my gas, making me go out in an ice storm. I could have died crashed and died. My kid would had a great Christmas then now. I'm a single disabled woman. The things my son wanted for Christmas he waited all year for. We saved up so he can have these things that I could never afford on a regular basis. He did his part my son by waiting and going without so we would have enough money to buy the items that he wanted and what was his reward for it?

You have to continue waiting for it. I'm driving 87 miles to go get my kids the things he wants in Rhode Island. I think UPS should pay for my kids Christmas gifts since they were the ones that didn't drop it off. It was in their hands. They make a promise to get the stuff there on time and I had to pick up the slack and fix their problem. Now they need to fix my wallet. I'll never use UPS. I'll never recommend UPS and I'll be sure to tell everyone how UPS ruin a kids Christmas.

It is Friday December 22, 2017, and I have been waiting for the delivery of 2 packages, containing Christmas presents all day. Until 7:55 pm tonight the tracking information stated my package was on a UPS truck for delivery. At 8:30 pm the package was still not delivered, so I checked the tracking data again. To my utter disbelief the status of one of the packages had been changed to “delayed due to weather conditions or natural disaster.” Delivery was rescheduled to December 28. Since weather conditions in SWFL today have been almost perfect, sunshine all day, no high winds or rain, I called UPS customer service and asked them where exactly the weather conditions or a natural disaster had impacted the delivery of my package. They couldn’t tell me. I asked where exactly the package was, and I was informed it was at the UPS warehouse in Fort Myers since 11:41 am of today.

I was very upset and let the customer service rep know that a delivery after Christmas was not acceptable and offered to drive to this obviously badly managed UPS facility to pick my package up. He declined that option but promised the package would be delivered by tomorrow 5:45 pm. In our area UPS usually only delivers Monday to Friday, so as of now I am not sure, if he only said that to get rid of me, or if UPS will actually deliver on Saturday due to the holidays. Either way, I am very upset about this unprofessional behavior by the local UPS facility. I hate nothing more than being lied to, and I feel UPS did just that!

How is it possible that both packages had been scanned for “out for delivery,” and suddenly, on a perfect sunny 82 degree Florida day, the delivery was delayed due to inclement weather?? Both packages of course contain Christmas presents, and I am not looking forward to explain to my 10-year old granddaughter that Santa couldn’t deliver her Christmas presents due to bad weather or a natural disaster that obviously only affected the UPS facility in Fort Myers, Florida. I guess I just found out that it wasn’t the Grinch who stole Christmas, it was actually UPS this time!!

I read all of the reviews here and got very nervous because some of my packages had not shown up yet and it was getting late (almost 8pm). I tried calling customer service a few times before I finally got to speak to a rep. But the rep I spoke to was very hard to understand. After I hung up with him I was not confident so I then emailed UPS customer service asking them about the package. I also kept checking the website feverishly every few minutes for updates but it still kept saying "out for delivery". Finally after about a half hour the status changed to "delivered". I ran to my front door where I met my UPS guy coming in with the deliveries.

I am very lucky that I caught the UPS guy coming in and also my UPS guy who is a regular here is a very nice guy. Ironically, one of my packages required a signature by the company who shipped the item. They actually put a restriction of signature required on the delivery and no other delivery options were allowed. Meaning I could not walk into a UPS center, show ID and picked up my item. Had I not caught the ups guy I would have not gotten that package tonight due to the whole signature issue.

By the way I also had the same thing happen with FedEx last week. Lucky I was able to catch him as he was coming in the door as well. This is very frustrating especially if you are busy like me and don't have the time to just sit around all day waiting on deliveries... The only solution that has worked for me so far is to say a prayer and then keep refreshing the tracking information online until it updates to "delivered". But you have to be prepared to catch the delivery guy as he comes into the building or up to the house. Another clue is that they usually scan everything for your address in the truck before they come into the building/house. So once the status changed online I knew his truck was sitting outside. Good Luck!

My father sent a package of Christmas stockings from the US to Canada on Monday December 18th hoping it would arrive in time for Christmas. He thought that he had paid all necessary fees. UPS attempted a first delivery on Friday, December 23rd. There was no notice of ahead of time that they would attempt delivery. I was not at home. The driver left a 'Sorry we missed you' note that explained there would be a second delivery attempt on Dec 27th. And that there is a brokerage COD fee of $86.02.

My father was not told of these charges. The driver could not leave the package without collecting the fee. The driver cannot release the package to a delivery centre because of the fee. Even if I pay the fee over the phone UPS is unable to reach their drivers. They close the Friday before Christmas at 5pm and they reopen on the 27th. My chief complaints are: the COD charge being hidden from the sender, the lack of information about delivery times, the lack of options to collect a package. It's three days before Christmas, the package is in a truck 1 kilometer from my home, and there's no way for me to collect it.

It was critical that my son have the study material for the two weekends before the test, which is why I paid so much for shipping. Even if it had been delivered on Friday, 11/17 or Saturday, 11/18, it would have been acceptable. I could have mailed through USPS and gotten in there by the 20th for $100 less than UPS!!! In trying to get a refund, UPS customer service said the local store where I shipped had to file.

They tried twice, with no success. UPS blamed the 11/20 delivery on customs but customs released the package late on 11/16, but it was delayed by a UPS trailer on 11/17 and wasn't released for delivery until 11/20!!! I tried customer service, but was told only the shipping UPS store could file!!! Runaround, again! NO MORE UPS FOR ME! I will drive 1 hour to the next town to mail FED-EX from now on. UPS did not honor their guaranteed delivery date in a critical, expensive, late shipping!

That was a lie, I've been sitting here at my front door waiting for this package everyday. It bothers me more that they lie to me and jerk me around. I finally got tired of their lies and asked for a customer center where I could pick it up. They gave me an address in Pacifica Washington to pick it up. I live in Portland so driving 160 miles to Seattle doesn't help me at all. It's now been 5 days and I'm still waiting for this package. I'm tired of being a victim of UPS and their inability to do their job. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH UPS, they don't care if you get your package and randomly lie to you when the truth would work better.

I called the next day, after having to go through some serious hoops to reach someone, and they just updated the delivery day on the spot with probably no idea of what was truly going on with the package. Today I received a message from Amazon that they lost or damaged a packaged and now my niece may not get her present in time because I had to re-order it. If you try to reach someone online or over the phone it's very difficult and they just don't seem to care. I guess they have a monopoly of sorts, but I have a feeling FedEx will end up taking over most deliveries at this point. I'm not mad and I don't hate anyway, but I'm very disappointing :)

I have been expecting a package, which was shipped Express on Dec. 13th. It should have arrived on December 15th, no later than 6pm. I followed the tracking and viewed the truck on the map for Delivery. It didn't show up. I called Saturday morning and spoke with an Agent. Please know that I have spoken with 5 different Agents since last Saturday. Each has been as helpful as they have been allowed to be. Each has made notes and call backs were suppose to happen. Not one time has anyone called me back. Even though in their notes they logged that they spoke with me???

Most importantly, I learned from a lady yesterday morning, Dec. 20th, that while I have been tracking my package on their live Map... with an estimated time from 2-6pm for Delivery... my package was never even on the Truck??? She explained that while it shows "Out for Delivery" that the driver has to scan it in as well. And it was never scanned in. So I have sat here waiting day after day explaining what is so important about this package. It weighs 1oz. It is a check that I need. Not for luxuries, but for living. And, perhaps one luxury... I had planned to go see my son at Fort Campbell. I haven't seen him since just after Thanksgiving last year... and the money I am waiting on will allow me a couple of days to visit with him and my daughter-in-law.

I am on hold as I am writing this... with UPS. I was told last night... after being on the phone for 40 minutes, that my package would be delivered today. Now, the man I am speaking with says it will be delivered tomorrow. I am stunned that any business, regardless of the season, has the audacity to blatantly lie day after day to the very people who keep them up and running??? In fact, I will also share because I was tracking the trucks that were delivering my package on Monday night and Tuesday night... that I followed them after they passed my home. I parked a distance from each driver and put my flashers on and waited. I didn't want to startle anyone. Each was very polite and shared that my package was never on their truck! I have many reasons to be upset. But the biggest is the failure of UPS to be at minimum be HONEST with their customers.

I would also like to note that I have taken Screen Shots every day that my 1oz. package was to be delivered and have a log of every call I made trying to resolve this matter. At this point in time, I will note that I trust USPS and FedEx, much more than I do UPS. I will no longer be utilizing their services, for they have completely lost my respect and trust... and assuredly do not deserve my money!!!

UPS.com is the worst website ever. Navigating it is a pain and preference options are buried through a series of links rather than being right up at the menu bar. Through the website as a My Choice member, I long ago set it up as having all packages rerouted to my local UPS store. Unfortunately, there is no option to turn it off! Now every single package goes to the UPS store, seemingly permanently.

Then I tried going into each tracking number and individually canceling this previous "request" and in doing so, the account loses the previous settings of my delivery instruction of having all packages placed at rear door of my house, and there is no way to request packages to be placed at the rear door because that option is already turned on in my main preferences but somehow shut off in each individual tracking number. Let's just say there are a bunch of other things that are messed up with this website and calling in for help is useless. Customer service just tells me to change preferences on the website, and I already have--they just don't work right!!

Let's see - we have this thing called HOLIDAYS every year, same time. It's happened in my lifetime, 63 times. Yet it appears UPS chose NOT to hire to cover the volume. They're forcing their drivers to work 70 hour weeks, which is unsafe. They left a package of garments for my business, outdoors on Friday night at 8:00 PM in an industrial neighborhood and we found it soaking wet on Monday. There were two other packages that show delivered but we didn't receive them, have combed the neighborhood and can't find them anywhere.

They are causing us losses for our business because if our base product doesn't arrive on a timely basis, then we cannot produce for our customers on a timely basis. Add to that, the fact they have KEYS to the alarm and vestibule so they can put things in a secure area, yet for the 5th time, they appear to have lost these expensive keys. The people at their local office don't seem to care and are even aggressive and hateful when trying to find an answer to THEIR problems.

Another fun fact - they have a 'helper' riding with the usual driver, and she just jumps out and actually THROWS packages at the house. One hit a window at 8 PM on Monday, and it's a wonder the contents AND THE WINDOW were not shattered. It would be one thing if they'd actually take responsibility and try to help but instead, we get bitter, angry employees who refuse to do what it takes to do their job (such as delivering during business hours and reimbursing us for losses when they lose our keys and put our businesses security at risk). Henceforth, I will use FedEx Ground for shipping anytime I have a choice. I'm expecting Amazon to dump UPS soon and start their own company. UPS has done nothing to earn anyone's business any longer.

I ordered a new phone from Sprint on Dec 7, 2017. It was sent overnight delivery and arrived at the Forest Park, GA Hub (Atlanta suburb) on Dec 8, 2017. The UPS website shows weather delays through Dec 14th (totally bogus - I live approx 25 miles from the facility - no bad weather during this time frame). I've talked to 4 different people at this hub since Dec 13, 2017, inquiring about the package (I have the names and dates documented). On Dec 14th I was told there were 120 people from the corporate office helping to get packages out (corporate office is in Atlanta, GA).

This same date I was told they had no way of knowing if my package was actually on the delivery truck (even though it shows Out For Delivery on their tracking system), if I wanted to call back later in the day they could contact the driver and he could physically look for my order in the truck (I tried every 15-30 mins from 2PM -5PM - the phone would ring for 2 mins then a recording would state the call could not be completed). The same thing has been told to me by every person I've talked to at that facility - they don't know if the order is on the truck by the information on their tracking system. Whaaat? ALSO, on Dec 14th as I was driving in the entrance to my neighborhood I was behind a UPS truck. I actually stopped when he did (2 delivery men in truck).

After explaining the above he asked if I would like to look in the truck. This was 6:00 PM and the truck was only half emptied and the boxes and packages looked like they had been thrown in the truck - no organization - I wondered how they could even map out a route to deliver these packages. I gave him my address and he said he would see me a little later. I haven't seen him yet. I've talked to the same supervisor at this hub twice and on Dec 18th she told me the item was considered lost after 48 hours. She also told me their hub is "a complete mess!" I commented that perhaps Steve ** - head of public relations, should be notified. She told me corporate is well aware of the problem. She took my name and number again, reluctantly, and told me she would check with the driver later in the day (I have his driver #) and get back to me. As of 11:00 PM, Dec 19, 2017, I haven't heard from anyone at UPS.

As a side note, UPS has delivered several other packages (Christmas orders) during this period of time, but there's a couple of others that now show "delayed."

Today I called Sprint (for the 3rd time - I wanted them to be aware that I still didn't have my phone). They requested through UPS that the phone be "returned to sender", which their tracking system now shows. The Sprint employee advised me to go a Sprint store to get a phone because another phone would also be sent via UPS. I asked if a new phone could be sent through FedEx or the USPS and he said they had a contract with UPS and could not use another carrier.

More likely than not, I missed them because the delivery person speeds down the street and throws packages into the road. I have had multiple packages delivered in this manner, so I know this is probably what happened. Three calls to customer service provided more info than the website but they still couldn't say when the package would be delivered. At that point the package was two days late and I had to leave the delivery address and would not return until after Christmas. So I asked the vendor to file a claim with UPS and send me another item at the address where I would be until Christmas. I wouldn't be surprised if it is after New Year's before this gets worked out. When they finally found the crate they said the label had been scraped off. We cover the label in plastic and staple it on. There is also a packing slip secured in the same way. They opened the crate to be sure it was the right item; resealed it without any packing and sent it off to our customer.

When he received it it was damaged beyond repair. We had to re-make it and deliver it ourselves. Since then it has been nothing but a hassle. We have responded to every issue they asked about. They would ask us to fax it, and then say they never received it. Our fax machine does print out a confirmation that it went through. So we also emailed it to both UPS and their claims representative. We have called her many many times and she does not return our phone calls. My packages are not being delivered on time, I'm constantly being told that they were lost or misplaced, or I am lied to about "no one" being at home when I have intentionally stayed at home on delivery days to collect my Christmas packages. Every time a company notes that UPS will be the carrier for my shipment I cringe, and wait expectantly for incompetency rather than my package to show up. My advice to UPS: figure out how to do the job better, or leave deliveries in the hands of professionals like USPS and FedEx!

I am highly upset at UPS customer service and delivery! It has been numerous of times where I have to spend a whole day waiting for a package and the courier does not make any attempt to deliver the package. They will claim they made an attempt where not even a intercom has been rung for the delivery. Then they want you to go to an access point to be picked up. Why should I be paying for faster delivery service when the courier cant successfully deliver or even make an effort to get a package in on time.

Nothing but a bunch of Lobotomized Monkeys. I have never had a worse customer experience. An overnight package was mailed from Chicago on Friday December 8, 2017. Did I get it Monday 12/11, NO! Did I get it Tuesday 12/12? NO! I called and was told that the address was bad (slight misspelling on the company name and no floor, but that should not have been a problem). Gave UPS the floor number. Did I get the package Wednesday 12/13? NO!

Called back and spoke to several supervisors. Was assured they made all the corrections and would get the package the next day. Did I get it on Thursday? NO! Called on Thursday and was told there was no apartment number, just the 14th floor. I told them that it is an office building, a 33-story office building completed in 1964. Can't miss it. My company occupies THE ENTIRE 14TH FLOOR. THERE IS NO APARTMENT NUMBER.

Went through several more layers of management. I think once I got to level 5 I managed to get someone actually located in the US. I did get a postcard from USPS delivered to my desk WITH THE EXACT SAME ADDRESS THAT UPS SAID IS UNDELIVERABLE!!! Was assured the package would be delivered by 11 am on Friday. Was it? NO! It is now after 3 pm and still no package. W...T...F?

But at 11:00 am in the morning they posted saying they cant deliver them today and will be attempted on Monday. I wasted my day off because of UPS. Not alone this. I ordered few gifts for Christmas from Best buy and Fossil and all the parcel are mailed through UPS sure post and none of them arrived/showed up in my mailbox. I request Amazon/Best Buy not to opt UPS as their delivery partner as they don't follow time and just waste customer time even. Finally very pretty bad experience. Will never ship with them.

Some packages arrived from overseas with customs duty owed. We understood that payment would be expected upon delivery. I didn't find it too surprising that for a C.O.D. order that drivers cannot accept cash payments--that's a safety concern and a good way to reduce risk for drivers, customers and the company. However, it's unacceptable to request a credit card or check payment and to be unable to provide a receipt for the transaction!

I called the UPS customer service line and they confirmed that their drivers are not equipped to provide receipts! They consider an electronic update on the tracking to serve as a receipt!!! And how long does that take? Whatever happened to proof of purchase AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE?! What if the electronic system ever has a glitch??? What then??? THERE REALLY IS NO GOOD ELECTRONIC EQUIVALENT TO AN OLD FASHIONED PAPER RECEIPT! There really needs to be a law that any business that receives payment MUST be obliged to provide a paper receipt at time of transaction!

I was expecting a return mail from the UK embassy which I had already paid for as next day air, the street address was wrong by one digit, and for a whole week, my package travelled all over California looking for the wrong address that doesn't exist. My phone number was on the label visibly and no one had the common sense to contact me or the embassy for address correction. Instead UPS started correcting the address at their own discretion without my consent. After waiting for a week I decided to track the package and saw how far it had gone around to different cities in 7 days. I called customer support and selected (automated) option for pick up and spoke to an agent to confirm my request to drive down for my package was received. She told me to expect a call within an hr and provided hub address to me in San Marcos.

I was 45 miles away from the address and decided to begin my drive down there while I waited for the call. I got the hub an hr later and my package was not in San Marcos as I was told by the customer care agent. Behold it was in another city few hours away. While I was waiting to be attended to, I watched as an old lady was told bluntly by another attendant that her package was lost and could not be traced, then I began to worry for my travel documents. I was asked to come back (by Mike) the next morning with the promise that my package would be on the shelf. Really upset I drove another 45 miles back without my package. I tracked my package the next morning while still waiting for a call and saw it was available for pickup as I requested. I drove 45 miles again (one way) for my package with mixed feelings.

At the hub, I was informed my package was already out for delivery and no one was home because it required a signature, therefore, the driver was driving around with my package. I was so outraged because my request for pickup was ignored. In summary, the manager (Lydia) called the driver and had me go meet the driver at his next location 9 miles away from the hub to pick up the package. Not so much of an honest apology was given nor an explanation as to why my package was back on the truck or why no one called me in the last 7 days, so bluntly she told me she couldn't have the driver return to the hub to drop off my package so I must go meet him wherever he is. The customer service on the phone and in person is so horrible and nonchalant.

I have had similar issues every single time I have dealt with UPS. It almost impossible to redirect a package that requires a signature to a more convenient address. You will pay for a service with your money and crawl on your knees to get your package. FedEx and USPS makes life easy. They have easy and fast rerouting processing with knowledgeable staffs. UPS has the most clueless staffs I have ever come across in my 30 yrs of living, and my advice to consumers is to get ready to pick up your package if you really need it. And companies that plan to keep their customers, DO NOT USE UPS!

I ordered a package on December 3rd and it was shipped December 4th with 2 day shipping. On December 6th it said it was “out for delivery”. However, it never showed up, which isn’t the first time this has happened. I waited till Monday Dec 11th when it showed it was “out for delivery” and yet again it was not delivered. So on Tuesday December 12th I had more 3 more packages for delivery out that had just arrived to the warehouse the night before, one of which needed a signature. At this point 2 of those showed but not the one that needed a signature nor the package from December 3rd. I asked the driver who said he had nothing else and then I called UPS. The lady on the phone gives me the runaround essentially saying they are experiencing large delays because of Christmas.

However, that is not an excuse, this happens every year and online purchasing is not going away, so their poor planning is on them. I told her I will just pick up these packages instead of waiting on delivery because she can’t tell me when they will actually be delivered, so she said I could pick them up tomorrow. I arrive to the local UPS location today to pick up the packages and the lady proceeds to tell me that they aren’t ready to be picked up and only 2 would be able to be picked up today, sometime this afternoon.

The one requiring a signature is of course one that won’t be available to be picked up because it hasn’t been processed yet. I ask how is that when the tracking said it would be “out for delivery” December 12th? She says that the process just essentially says something is out for delivery but may not actually be on a truck. At this point I directly ask her, "So you just lie and say something is out for delivery but actually it is not?" To which she responds “Yes Ma'am.” Absolutely ridiculous! So people who have to sign for packages waste their time at home thinking their package will show up and it was never out for delivery!

UPS used to be a reliable company. In two weeks, two packages from two different vendors coming to me have been lost. One of those contained a $330 item. Lost package research began 11/30 for an "on the truck" delivery from 11/27. Local depot called me back (finally) after multiple calls. Was told they don't know where my package is, it was on the truck, could still be there "somewhere" as they load new packages on everyday and mine is likely in the back. Now 12/12, package still lost/unaccounted for.

Shipper re-sent a new one last week to replace the lost one. The package containing the replacement $330 item was rescheduled for delivery 3 times after showing it was "out for delivery" each day. UPS cust svc put in requests for me to receive calls back from the local Jacksonville depot, all without a return call. Called cust svc again, and when they put in the "urgent" request for local depot call back, assuring me I'd hear back within 1.5 hours, I inquired in passing if my coming to pick up the package was an option. Was told "wait for them to call you back, then ask them." NO CALL BACK. Hours later, I tracked package, which then showed that I (Customer) will pick up at Will Call and--one hour after that--that its status is that it is again on truck for delivery.

Called cust svc again... Advised I was inquiring about option, not definitely picking up as I am 40 miles from them, and that the prior rep had told me to discuss the pick up option upon receiving a call back only. Asked if package was in fact on truck for delivery as the most recent update had shown. Was told YES, will definitely receive that day. ALSO, when I questioned why I am receiving smaller packages but not these two very large (26 lb) ones, rep advised UPS is putting "large packages into totes and prioritizing delivery of smaller packages." Still had no delivery as of 8:30pm. Called back. Was put on hold and told YES, definitely will be delivered today, could be as late as 11:59pm. Never arrived.

Today, called UPS to follow-up at 10am as there was no updated tracking at all. Was told that the package was sitting at the depot 40 miles away and if I wanted it, I had to call the shipper so they could contact UPS and give me "permission" to pick it up (because apparently, UPS cannot do their job as paid for and deliver the package--and now I'm not even allowed to come to them and pick up my paid-for merchandise with proof of my name/address matching the package ship-to. So--they aren't bothering to deliver it to me as paid for, and I'm not allowed to do their job for them to come get my own stuff that I paid for... Okay, that makes NO sense.) Asked for supervisor, was told NO. Asked again, was told very rudely by rep, "okay, you can wait an hour, what is your phone number?" I simply hung up.

Called shipper. They called UPS. UPS had already re-routed the package to be returned them (NOT at their request.) Shipper apologized profusely and refunded my purchase price and shipping... Now they can deal with the $660 worth of merchandise and hope they get it back. I did tell them I will NEVER buy an item from them requiring UPS shipping and recommended that their logistics team utilize FedEx instead, as they are more reliable and helpful than UPS...cheaper, too!

So very disappointed in all the simply terrible, rude, ill-trained, ill-equipped and frankly--apparently untrustworthy--representatives that I interacted with over the course of these two packages alone (not even going to go on about the OTHER lost package, separate from this issue). I will never again ship or buy products that will be delivered via UPS.

The experience is horrendous, ranging from irresponsible to outrageous. If you have a choice, DO NOT use UPS. I ordered two packages from Macy's and got a tracking number. After waiting for a period of 4 or 5 days (allowing for the holiday rush), I checked with Macy's and the report from UPS said that I had agreed to pick up the packages at a UPS location. This is a lie, since nobody contacted me ever and I did not see any UPS employee/driver. Macy's put in another request for delivery. I check today and I get the message that my packages are at a specific location, which had no phone number. I call another UPS office and they tell that that center is not accessible to customers and that I should call corporate.

At this point I am more than unhappy. I call corporate and I reach a lady who tells me that she cannot find the package and that she is going to pass me onto another representative. Theoretically, she would inform him/her of the whole story I told her. When I finally get to the other associate, he says he knows nothing about it and I have to retell the whole story one more time. At the end of all this, he tells me that they cannot find the package and that he needs to start an investigation, but to do that he needs Macy's authorization, according to their contract. This is just ridiculous. I paid for my packages; the shipping was free because I paid a great deal.

I expected the packages to arrive to my door in a timely manner. Since this did not happen, I expected UPS to find my purchases ASAP and rectify their unacceptable level of service. This did not happen either. I would love to talk to someone from corporate with enough authority to solve this problem and not expect me to do all the work for them. They expect me to contact Macy's yet again and ask them to open an investigation. In the meantime, I still don't have my already-paid-for purchases. Once again, avoid UPS. They are completely unresponsive and irresponsible.

I can’t begin to express my frustration and anger at the deplorable way UPS treats their customers. Since they apparently do not know when Christmas and Cyber Monday fall on the calendar they do not have enough drivers for the huge backlog. So a package I was suppose to get when I was home to sign for shows up three days late on the day I wasn’t home. So instead of attempting delivery again they decide to send it to my local UPS store. Ok that’s inconvenient but at least I’ll get it. Wrong! Not only did the “manager” lie to me that it would be delivered by 5 pm to the UPS store but for some reason the package was sent to Kentucky. I would like to know how a package that was in Spokane WA on Friday winds up in Kentucky on Monday. They tried to blame the merchant saying there are two packages in the system with same tracking number.

The first manager said the merchant is ripping off UPS by reusing tracking numbers. How is that even possible? Also, if that were true, I would see both packages when I looked up the tracking number instead of mine which is now in Kentucky. Even an idiot should know Kentucky is not even close to Washington State. Here is the kicker the package originated in California and if I do receive it based on their sketchy website it will have taken over two weeks to arrive. I could have driven to California and back in less time. I loathe the attitude that it is not their fault they received more orders than they expected. Seriously? If all you do is deliver packages and you can’t do that, maybe you should reevaluate your business. Don’t blame customers because your company was too cheap and lazy to hire more help. I wish all merchants would boycott UPS and force them out of business.

On 12/7 our package ** was placed on the truck FOR DELIVERY. It was not delivered. On 12/8 It was again on the truck FOR DELIVERY. It was again not delivered. On both occasions the reason UPS gave was weather. On 12/7 I drove my 2 wheel drive Ford Expedition to San Angelo (where the UPS depot is located) and back home, encountering no driving difficulties in the 230 mile round trip. On 12/8 at about 2 pm the FedEx truck arrived at our home to make a delivery. He also encountered no difficulties in driving probably because it was sunnier than the previous day with no precipitation.

Based on these facts one can only assume that either UPS management, in San Angelo or the UPS driver made the call that conditions were too hazardous to make our delivery. How could the management team 115 miles from us have knowledge of the conditions at our location???? How could the driver, who only delivered to Ozona proper have any knowledge of conditions 35 miles from his last delivery???? Why did the UPS employees lie about the delivery conditions? I reported this to UPS customer service. Their answer was "Sorry... Keep checking the tracking number." Why? I had checked it twice, it was wrong both times. They did not even attempt to answer the same questions I asked above. If they don't respond to these questions how will they locate the responsible employees and take action to correct the problem?

I repeated my questions and comments and they responded by asking for a phone# so the depot could call when delivery was imminent. They have been trained to answer NO QUESTIONS, to apologize and to simply advise you to wait. Not awfully long ago on their FACEBOOK page they had a section where you could openly post a complaint. Your post would then be given an answer similar too. "We're sorry, but give us an email address and we will contact you". This was brilliant. They never gave their response in public, they still never answered any questions and they still made you wait. They've taken this forum off of Facebook, probably because they had too many complaints. That hasn't changed but now we can't see or support what other consumers are going through.

UPS Ground was running with delays last week because of the holiday rush. I therefore spent extra to send a package Wed for delivery by 10:30 am Thurs via Next Day Air. It got to the destination center and they wrote the vague notice on the tracking at 9am Thurs.: "An emergency situation or severe weather condition has delayed delivery. Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day." The package wasn't delivered until 8:42 pm Fri evening (instead of 10:30 am Fri morning assuming there was in fact a valid delay) and they refuse to give a refund even though this was due to them being overloaded. This is a fraudulent practice.

Unfortunately I have no choice to use UPS because the company that I purchase my products from chooses to use them as a shipping provider. I have complained to the company about the several issues I have had in the past but it seems to do no good.

If your company is an alternative to the USP office then you should hold the same standards as the USP office and provide the same quality. I have not received packages from UPS, received packages that were damaged and look like someone played football with the package, I have dealt with non-existent customer service representatives; who are based out of the country and do not have a clue how to handle a issue without reading a script provided for them. In the end this will be another review submitted about UPS in which, UPS doesn't really care because if they did there would be changes to their procedures.

The package was a X-Mas present from friends, and I will have a hard time explaining to them what happened to their gift. As a minimum I would expect UPS to replace the gift as ordered through L.L. Original review: After major delays in packages being delayed I call UPS customer service tonight and requested all four packages be returned to the shipper. I have had over 75% of my packages and merchandise destroyed by UPS. I have spent over 20 hours on the phone with them about this. They state they are NOT responsible for torn up, dropped, thrown about, ripped up packages at all!! They state the consumer has absolutely no recourse when UPS destroys your packages and merchandise. That only the seller can take action, when this happens! UPS has lied about me, they have showed total indifference to severely breaking packages and merchandise. And, they have made it clear that the consumer is "on the hook", for UPS damages!!! This is the worst and most crooked big business I ever have encountered. They even make you wait for hours on the phone, trying to resolve an issue. PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. Complain to your merchants, and refuse UPS packages that show ANY damages, and post this everywhere you can.

Where to begin… In summary, my issues are everyone's issues: UPS will not "lift a finger" to deliver an item that arrives at its hub prior to the expected delivery date. All other outfits do each and every time. If your package arrives 3 days ahead of your expected delivery date and you think you will get a courtesy early delivery... Guess again. You are going to wait. That has absolutely zero to do with peak delivery seasons either. Next issue, and one I am currently experiencing. Got a package that arrived in town 11/30 with an expected delivery date of 12/1. Package went on the truck 12/1 and it is now 12/8 and I have no package. It showed on the truck for delivery every single day and apparently they "just couldn't make it.” The driver even changed the log on 2 occasions - as if I didn't already see that it was on the truck for delivery...

Good luck complaining and speaking to someone. If you are fortunate enough, and you have the luxury of having nothing else better to do with your day, you'll get the expected tired excuses about "record shipments" or some such thing. Not my problem, and not an excuse for 7 straight days of delays. No restitution. Not a thing you can do.

USPS - good old US mail - love them, absolute trust in the mail system. OnTrac - Fabulous. FedEx - Fabulous. Even my global company had to hire FedEx because UPS could not be counted on for our sensitive deliveries - and UPS had contractual exclusivity with us. Are they the worst? Absolutely - If I judge all objectively. I would estimate 40% of all my deliveries meet the 2 mentioned complaints and UPS is the only company to shaft its customers like this.
So - since I can do nothing - we can do nothing, I am going to complain to every business/company I order from and let them know that their business with me suffers because of who they choose to partner with to execute deliveries. I hope others will join me in this angle of attack against UPS incompetence.

That is my genuine, truthful, objective, and not a single bit exaggerated, consistent experience with UPS.

We had ordered holiday cards from Shutterfly and paid for expedited shipping. They were supposed on arrive on 12/6. At 930pm on 12/6, the UPS website showed that they were in ATL but not out for delivery. I called the call center and was told that they could see that the package had arrived in ATL but for some reason had not been unloaded and was not out for delivery. The CSR was puzzled and apologetic but totally not helpful. He did say he was sure it would be delivered the next day (12/7). On 12/7 - the same experience repeated itself. On both days, I sent an email to the UPS help desk, got the automated reply but no other reply. In theory, the package should be delivered today, and I have my fingers crossed. I wish that I had the option of choosing either USPS or FedEx as a shipper vs. UPS, as this has happened multiple times, but this is the first time with an expedited shipment. They are truly unreliable and awful!

I paid for a check to be delivered next day air so that I could assist my mother- who lives in Indiana get a new furnace for herself and her adopted kids. It's been in the 20's in Indiana and we all know how cold it can get in the north. It was supposed to arrive on 12/5. It didn't. UPS advised that there was adverse weather in Kentucky and it would be delivered the 6th. It arrived in Jacksonville around 4am and was scanned. It sat in the Jacksonville warehouse all day. No one scanned it again until the evening time. Another day wasted- my mom and her kids still no heat. Advised it would be delivered Thursday. Out on truck all day for delivery. I waited around my home all day. At 9pm I called UPS again to inquire about the delivery and how long would it be. I sat on hold for a representative for over 30 minutes. I was then advised that the delivery driver went through my neighborhood at 9pm and he's on his way back to UPS.

I asked why he didn't try to deliver and that it was urgent. I also asked to speak with a supervisor. I received a case file number and was advised that the supervisor would call me back by 10am the next day. We are now on day 12/8- at 10:30 AM I reached out again to speak with a supervisor and discuss the issues. Was advised that they would send another "urgent" message and I would receive a callback. As of 2pm on 12/8 there has been no delivery and no call back from any supervisor of any type. This is the worst service I have ever received.

They are putting NO PRIORITY on Next day air packages nor are they being considerate and delivering the late packages first. And the really SAD thing about this entire episode is that my MOM AND HER KIDS still have NO HEAT because I cannot get my check to cash for the funds to assist. This is absolutely horrible and the CEO at UPS should be made aware of the inconsiderate people they have working for them.

I purchased a mattress, frame, blanket, sheets, mattress cover for my sister who has cancer. I placed this order on 11-23-17. All items except mattress arrived. My first complaint was that the driver left all my packages outside my fence and gate. My normal driver always puts things over the fence, and it is common sense to not leave packages outside of gate, where they could easily be stolen. This was my first complaint. Now the nightmare begins. My mattress was due to arrive on the 26th, on the 27th I get an email from Amazon that my item just shipped??? I called and found out driver forgot to put on the truck. Then it was to arrive on the 28th, then 29th, then 30th, then 12/1/17... meanwhile I am talking with Amazon, and with UPS AND all of these days it was out for delivery. Then Amazon sends another mattress next day air, and I am suppose to get it on the 2nd, then the 3rd, then the 5th, 6th, then the date is moved to the 12th.

I had it confirmed yet again that both mattresses were on the truck on the 6th, but no delivery. Today on the 7th I received 4 notices from UPS that I had deliveries today, guess what... no deliveries. In the middle of this I was to also get my medication, so I called UPS and yet at 9:49 pm the driver throws the package and I am handicapped and got out there to stop him and ask about the two mattresses he has and he quickly started truck, did a U-turn and looked right at me and sped up and left. I was so angry, so angry. This is insane and now I am concerned that I cannot use Amazon if they are using UPS.

I have spoken to everyone, and although Amazon is nice and their customer service is good, nothing was done to get me my mattress. So now I canceled and refunded all items to the mattress that never came. This is horrible. This has been so stressful. They keep saying, “Oh it will be today, wait till end of day...” Yeah right. Crazy. Terrible service. Now I have them scheduled to pick up these items, and guess what... no show today. I am so upset.

We sent someone to the customer center which is 45 minutes away, to pick up our packages and they still have not released them. We do not owe any money. When our representative went to pick up the packages, he found a room full of other people trying to pick up their packages as well, and they were not being assisted either. I ship my product all over the world, I had an account with UPS but I refuse to use them because of the delivery delays they create themselves. Every time I shipped a package with them or receive a package from them I watch the tracking of my shipment. They give an estimated delivery date let’s say the 10 of November. The package shows up at the local UPS facility on the 4th of November, instead of going ahead and delivering the package they hold it until the estimated delivery date. My customers also track their packages and when using UPS in the past they would get very irate about this. I have a package that arrived in the Raleigh, NC facility on the 3rd of December, it indicated on the truck for delivery on the 4th of December, it was not delivered and showed in the system the night of the 4th as may be delayed, it did not show up on the 5th of December and showed that it was en route to destination.

I called UPS on the 6th of December and after being on hold 4 different times for 4 different people was finally told that they could not find my package and an investigation was put in the system. If this was a one time thing I would not be putting in this review but this happens almost every time I have something coming in by UPS. Personally I use the US Post Office and can ship cheaper and faster anywhere in the world including in the old Iron Curtain countries and have not yet in the last 10 years of shipping with them had a package lost, last or damaged, my suggestion to anyone thinking about using UPS is to re-think your options. I wish I could give them a zero stars on here but have to settle for one.'

Updated on 12/07/2017: I posted here the other day about a package that I have not received yet. UPS has had it at our local hub for five days now, each day saying it is out for delivery so each day instead of doing my regular things I hang around the house waiting for the delivery, each day it does not show up. Yesterday I called UPS Corporate and was told they could not find the package so they put in a lost package investigation. Within minutes of this it showed up again as out for delivery. Well it was not delivered again. Today I went to the customer service desk at the Raleigh NC hub, I asked where my package was, I was told it was in the warehouse at the main hub.

I asked why it was not yet delivered to me I was told because it weighed 70 lbs that it would have to wait until the smaller packages were delivered. I asked where the hub was so I can pick it up. I was told they could not tell me that and that I would have to pick it from customer service. I asked them to have it transferred to them, they said they could not do that. I would have to wait until the hub transferred it to them. I asked for a supervisor. They said there was not one on site, I asked for the name and number of someone at the hub I could talk to. I was again told they could not give me that information. They said all you can do is wait until the package is delivered. Someone please tell me how the hell are these people still in business?

I believe Consumer Affairs belief that 1-star is the lowest rating, is a disservice as some of these items are not worth a single star. UPS attempted a surprise delivery, because it was Saturday and no one was home. Didn't know they could deliver on Saturday, for a UPS Ground delivery. Posted on the door, however, were directions for alternate authorized delivery that they have followed for hundreds of packages prior to this one -- who can sign for any package and show authorization to sign on our behalf, if UPS needed proof. Instead, they left a notice that they would attempt re-delivery on the following weekday (Monday).

When attempting a live chat complaining about the fact that they didn't follow the directions for having someone else sign (someone located at a location they had to pass to leave my area), the chat apologized and assured that the package would delivery today (Monday)... Went home to wait for package, which should have delivered by 7PM, and at 7:50PM started another chat and was told it was on the vehicle and would deliver that night. I pointed out that it was now outside the posted window, and was assured that because of the volume, they were running late, it would still be delivered. I asked how late I should have to wait, and they said they deliver until 10PM.

When it didn't arrive after 10PM I started another chat and again waited for my turn in the queue (each of these chats takes at least 10-minutes of waiting, if not more), and finally near 11PM CST I started another chat, and at this point, I noticed the deliver date had changed to Tuesday. The last chat person had no visibility to the fact that it had been out for delivery on Monday. He only saw that it was to be delivered on Tuesday, and all previous Out For Delivery information was not present in the track (I have since checked by email account, and I have the email telling me I have a package coming on Monday, and now have the Tuesday version of the email).

So UPS believes that I have forever and a day to wait for them to decide if they feel like delivering my package. I have continually complained to the retailers that a lot of this is their fault as they don't hold the carriers accountable. Once the retailer has charged you, as the buyer, you are on your own. This is great when it all works, but not so great when it falls apart.

Items were destroyed so I contacted UPS and got a message stating that package was delivered and ignoring any and all concerns. Well... Yesterday I had 3 packages that were being delivered and one required a signature verification. I sat and waited most of the day to be able to sign for my package. Did the driver sign my signature? Why was this particular package just spewed in a pile with the other two at the end of my driveway? I cannot believe the level of service and the complete disregard for people's purchases. I tried to call and to no avail. I will be calling again today demanding that they take responsibility for their behavior.

Returning a package to Amazon, the driver who was expected, came with no meter and no labels of proof that I was returning my package. He was arrogant, said he didn't have them, and then proceeded to walk away with a smirk on his face. I called UPS, described the driver's appearance, and they said they'd make sure his supervisor got the report. However, when I noted my activity report online, it was said, "The package was not ready at the time of the first pickup attempt. A second attempt will be made." - the first lie! I called UPS immediately, and asked that they not send a driver the next day; I wouldn't be home. A driver obviously came to pick up the package. I wasn't home, so he left a message as of his 2nd attempt (I've called UPS numerous times, and there were always apologies, but nothing was ever done; in fact, they blamed the victim - me.).

I rescheduled for a Monday pickup. No show. I'd changed my schedule to accommodate the driver. When I called UPS again, to let them know of this mishap, they said the driver attempted to pick up the package, but no one was there. The 3rd lie. The 2nd lie was, "The receiver has canceled the product order and refused delivery." I'd told the UPS agent that I couldn't be home because I'd waited all day, and I couldn't wait any longer. I didn't refuse, I just couldn't be at home. UPS is a horrible company to work with. Integrity is not on their list, and they need to be closed down, or the CEO needs to train his workers. First, they leave people on the phone without returning to say someone will be with you in a moment. Supervisors are not to be found, or too busy to take an urgent call. UPS employees consistently lie. Now I'm expecting a call from my local office at 8 pm tonight. My phone hasn't rung yet...

Here it is 12/4 and my son birthday was yesterday and thanks to them I look like I forgot my son's birthday when all he wanted was the two games that weren't in stores but had to buy online. I'm furious because the delivery truck GPS shows them every time in my neighborhood but always passing up my order I guess three days in a row. Location is in Atlanta on Marvin drive or whatever. I hate UPS unreliability.

Then I get a email saying it will be delivered today and still no package. This is crap, if you didn't get it to me then why not deliver my stuff first thing the next day? It seems like common sense to me. Customer service 101. But UPS doesn't give a crap about customer service. I hope they go out of business.

UPS not only did not deliver them on time but today is December 4th and I still have not received all of my things. Some things have been returned to the address I shipped them from and there are other items very valuable that have been broken. People have not return phone calls and someone closed my case without my knowledge or permission.

If I could give UPS 0 stars, TRUST ME I would!!! I’ve unfortunately had the displeasure of having multiple packages delivered through them this week and every single one has been either cancelled, delayed, lost or thrown on my stairs in the middle of the night without any alert that they even delivered it. These drivers and customer service are the worst I’ve ever dealt it. Save your money and go to FedEx! They actually care about their customers and every package gets delivered on time. I’m still waiting on 2 packages that I paid extra to have expedited and they’re nowhere to be found and these idiots can’t find the package or have it delivered. Horrible, incompetent and honestly, a piece of ** company!! I hope they go bankrupt one day because their way of dealing with their customers is sure to lead them down that road when everyone starts going to FedEx!!!

This will be the 7th time UPS either fails to deliver when promised or shows up after 10PM looking to deliver when the email I received says delivery by end of day. My day ends at 8 max. They rescheduled my delivery for Sat, by end of day, I canceled my plans to wait for my delivery, and of course, it never arrived. I check on the UPS app to see if they rescheduled, still shows enroute with no info available. By far the worst delivery company out. At least in NJ. I will not buy anything online if their delivery is done by UPS.

I ordered a Chromebook on Amazon. I had Amazon Prime. I bought it on Nov 27th, and so it was going to arrive on Nov 29th. UPS is the carrier for the shipment of my item from Amazon. On Nov 29th, the tracking information said that it's out for delivery. I'm so excited. But night came, and it never showed. I looked it up, and it had gone back to the UPS facility after being out for delivery. OK. Maybe it was too busy and never got to my house, so I waited for next day. Nov 30th was exactly the same result.

Tracking information said it's out for delivery again, but didn't arrive, and on the site, it said it went back to the facility. I'm not very happy at this point. It's an expensive item, and it's for work. I need it. So I called Amazon, and they didn't have much information, except there's a 24 hour window for them to deliver (which already passed since they didn't deliver 2nd day), but since Amazon said they should deliver by Dec 1st, I waited. Then on tracking info, it stated there is a delay with no additional info on deliveries. I gave benefit of doubt since the deadline given for the delayed delivery was Dec 2nd. Dec 2nd came and still, no package in sight. All my other items I ordered later on other days had all arrived, but this one hadn't. I looked up the UPS website using my tracking number, and they mentioned mechanical failure delaying delivery, but what is it? Who knows. It wasn't clear.

I tried to call UPS but its machine didn't give me option to talk to agent at all, and only gave less than the info I had on websites about the delay (it simply stated the package was delayed, not even mentioned the mechanical problem). So I called Amazon, they were very helpful, stayed with me on phone, and called UPS on other line. I was on phone with Amazon for ALMOST AN HOUR...and they still couldn't get through to UPS to ask their agent where is my item and why it's delayed, especially when it had been sent out to delivery twice on Nov 29th and 30th but being returned to facility for unknown reasons.

What is this unknown unexplained "mechanical" problem? What can a mechanical problem be with a box? They have plenty of trucks, so even if a truck broke down, there can be other trucks. Was a scanner broken? But I'm sure they have more than one scanner. WHAT IS THE MECHANICAL PROBLEM that is causing my item to be delayed?? No idea. No way to find out. CAN SOMEONE HELP???

UPS apparently doesn't care enough to help. None of its help center (which is all machine) is helpful. Even the help chat is machine, not real person behind it, just like the help phone, and giving only general information that you can find online already. Why would a help center provide info that is already available? People contact help center to get help that they can't find elsewhere! I tried to email them. I'll wait and see. If they respond properly with helpful information, I may change the review here. But for now, all avenues I tried to get help with UPS did not help, and worse, cannot even be really utilized, especially the phone.

Moreover, where is my item?? Why should Amazon have to lose business because of a stupid carrier service like UPS? I will never ever use UPS to ship anything after this. I can't help it that sellers use UPS for their shipments, and I have no choice in that. But I will never ever be a shipper with UPS. Their service is horrible! Sometimes, they don't even ring the doorbell and assume no one is home and not leave the package (I work from home... I'm always home). HELLO! There is a doorbell. Please ring it! Knocking on the door is not going to help because no one can really hear their taps (unless they pound on the door, which to their credit, they don't). But for this incident, there wasn't even an attempt to deliver, or if there was, no attempt to come to my door to deliver, only staying on the truck or something, or in their facility or something. Did someone steal the item from their end? I don't know.

I am writing a lot because I'm very upset. I need my Chromebook for work. I took a long time to find the right laptop for me, I paid a good amount of money for it, and I have Amazon Prime, which means I should get it faster. That's fine, things happen. It's Holidays time, it gets busy. I can understand. But then UPS not having a real helpline to actually help their customers...that is completely WRONG! Who has the time to sit around for an hour on the phone (with no one picking it up?) Even the Amazon help staff was calling - a corporation calling them - and still no result. What kind of business relations is this??

I’ve waited all day for the package then at 8 pm the status changes to "In transit, estimated delivery unavailable". I’ve been waiting on this package for a week because of “delays” due to inclement conditions. UPS needs to get their act together. They know what happens during the holidays. They know a lot of packages get sent out. They need to be prepared for it. Obviously they’re not. The least they could do is not say my package is out for delivery and I wait all day for it and then change it to "in transit". That’s BS.

This has been going on for years and I do not appreciate UPS not doing the job it is designed to do. I live in a small community, Columbia Falls, Montana, where there is no home delivery. I receive all mail at a PO Box at the post office. At many companies where I order products they do not accept PO Boxes for delivery. If I do not list my PO Box then the post office will return the package to the sender. I have tried to contact UPS but it is impossible to get through their robotic phone system. Hope you can help.

Receive email today - indicates they are still trying to deliver to my house. I need this item. Can't call local store - THEY ARE CLOSED. My advice use the post office, at least you will get a real person on the phone.

It was not and when I checked the tracking site, it said it was in Louisville, KY and would be delivered on Monday, 4 Dec, by 1030 hrs. I went to the office on Friday and was told that I would receive a refund. I told them the package needed to be delivered ASAP. I asked that it be delivered by Saturday. I received a call back from Josh ** of Fair Lakes UPS saying that the package would be expedited. It was not, so not only can they not provide the service they advertise, their employees are dishonest. I had lined up FedEx to pick-up the package in Louisville, but could not get an address. Then I was told, again by Josh, that it was on a truck. They will never receive my business again. They are slower and less reliable than the US Post Office.

It’s easy to do negative reviews, but most people don’t take the time to mention positive things. The regular delivery man at my address is just great. Always friendly and helpful. I’ve even crossed paths with him around town and he always waves when I go by. He is certainly an asset to have among UPS employees. Obviously I won’t mention his name here to protect his privacy. I’m sure you can find the delivery driver for Cheney Highway. Kudos to him. If possible can you pass this information on to his dispatch station and management. I know what Brown can do for me. I ordered running shoes from Finish Line because they didn't have the ones I wanted in the store - they were sold out. I spent an extra 25 dollars to have it shipped strictly within two days because I was only staying for a week at my family's place for Thanksgiving. The package arrived at my family's house as I was boarding the plane home - exactly one week after I ordered it. UPS refused to give me a refund and I had to pay an extra 15 dollars to have it shipped to my destination. 1 star for them for not owning up to their failure to deliver anywhere near the promised time.

RANT!!! #UPSsucks Wednesday we are notified by UPS via email that we have a package coming (well really more than one, two are already a day late that were supposed to be delivered yesterday) and should be delivered between 3:30 and 7:30pm. Still waiting at 9:20 pm when the driver finally arrives. We hear him going through the truck from inside the house more than likely searching for the packages. He comes to the door with three. Two that were due to be delivered yesterday and one due tomorrow. The one that was supposed to come today is AWOL. When asked about the 4th package, he said he could not find it on the truck but he is busy and will bring it Thursday.

Thursday... The package has been rescheduled for delivery today between 3:30 and 7:30pm. At 9pm we are still waiting and call UPS Corporate. After waiting on hold for close to an hour we talked to a rep who said they were sorry but the package will be rescheduled for Friday (same time) and someone from the Edison terminal will call us on Friday at 10. Friday... No call received at 10am... At 8pm we are still waiting for the delivery. UPS Corporate says they will have someone call from Edison in 15-20 minutes. (no call received) It is now past 10pm on Friday and we spend over an hour on hold with UPS Corporate to find out why the package has now be rescheduled (AGAIN!) for Saturday 3:30-7:30pm. Saturday... When looking up the tracking details now the package is just sitting at the terminal and not even on a truck out for delivery.

Updated on 12/05/2017: Rant goes on, "You'll get it when you get it" is what I was told when UPS called me back from the EDISON NJ Terminal. There was a woman's mad voice telling me about my undelivered package, that I was to have gotten for the last four times the package was out for delivery (and still haven't received). She stated that the truck would come in from its route late and my package was pushed to the front of the still loaded truck and then more stuff loaded on back of truck. So I asked why don't they move the packages that did not get deliver to the back of the truck so they would get delivered, she yelled it was not her problem and it was the terminal manager's problem. Told me I would get it when I get it and I said, "You know you're talking to a customer and she slammed the phone on me."
