It has always been a question of whether to use the postal service or Fed Ex or UPS or DHL (now seemingly gone) etc. But - UPS currently wins - the UPS guy that delivers here - Scotty is outstanding-upbeat-friendly helpful and knows his business. He has made a great difference.

I had 2 packages that I ordered for my wife for Christmas that are pricey. I paid 2nd day air for the items. They both came from the same place and started travel on 12/18/17. I had them delivered to a UPS store so my wife wouldn't catch the packages. I look in the system and one was delivered and the other says out for delivery on the 22nd. They were 25 miles in the UPS sorting facility and one came and the other did not. now the other package that is not here says scheduled delivery 12/26/17.
I told the people at the store in Covington, GA and they blew me off and gave me the 1-800 number. I sat on hold for 48 minutes and the guy on the phone says I don't know why 1 package showed up and the other didn't. I stated the packages were sent together and 1 pound difference between them, he said they were in different containers is all he can say. So now my wife's Christmas present is coming after Christmas. Thanks UPS. Stay away from me and my family.

Even though the deliver said 12/26, the package ended up being delivered before the 26th. Not sure if the company I ordered the package through escalated this issue. Multiple attempts to contact UPS did not render anything and they kept giving me the same answer that it won't be delivered until after Christmas so that is my only guess.

I ordered a Christmas gift and paid the overnight charge which would have been plenty of time before Christmas. I was to receive it on Thursday and on Friday night the package still did not arrive. UPS kept telling me it was on the truck for delivery. Since it did not arrive on Friday, I called the place of business who informed me that status was changed to deliver after Christmas. It is very disappointing that an overnight package takes 6 days to deliver and did not make it under the Christmas tree.

I always have trouble with them delivering my package on time or to the right address. This has happen more than once and then I get the same answers over and over again. I have talked to managers local and customer service and nothing changes. They can't seem to get this issued correct. If I didn't have to use them I wouldn't. They have terrible service and they don't seem to know how to correct it. I don't know why it's so bad in my area. I've been told things that wasn't true such as they tried to deliver and I wasn't home, when I know I have a package coming I stay at home and wait on it. They have also told me the reason it wasn't delivered because it required a signature and I wasn't home which was not true and when it was delivered no signature was required.
This company is a disaster and I am so tired of this happening over and over again. On this particular occasion It had showed me on the website it would be delivered between 1-5p then at 5p it changed to end of the day but at 8:15p it changed the delivery date to another date. I kept calling the center. All it would tell me it was out for delivery today and when I get someone there no help either. If the product is not going to be delivered on the date it shows it should never be posted. If it is an approximate date it should say that. They shouldn't wait so late to update the correct delivery date. I had ordered this for a special occasion. I wasted my whole day for nothing. Now it's going to come too late not going to do me any good.

It is Friday December 22, 2017, and I have been waiting for the delivery of 2 packages, containing Christmas presents all day. Until 7:55 pm tonight the tracking information stated my package was on a UPS truck for delivery. At 8:30 pm the package was still not delivered, so I checked the tracking data again. To my utter disbelief the status of one of the packages had been changed to “delayed due to weather conditions or natural disaster.” Delivery was rescheduled to December 28. Since weather conditions in SWFL today have been almost perfect, sunshine all day, no high winds or rain, I called UPS customer service and asked them where exactly the weather conditions or a natural disaster had impacted the delivery of my package. They couldn’t tell me. I asked where exactly the package was, and I was informed it was at the UPS warehouse in Fort Myers since 11:41 am of today.
I was very upset and let the customer service rep know that a delivery after Christmas was not acceptable and offered to drive to this obviously badly managed UPS facility to pick my package up. He declined that option but promised the package would be delivered by tomorrow 5:45 pm. In our area UPS usually only delivers Monday to Friday, so as of now I am not sure, if he only said that to get rid of me, or if UPS will actually deliver on Saturday due to the holidays. Either way, I am very upset about this unprofessional behavior by the local UPS facility. I hate nothing more than being lied to, and I feel UPS did just that!
How is it possible that both packages had been scanned for “out for delivery,” and suddenly, on a perfect sunny 82 degree Florida day, the delivery was delayed due to inclement weather?? Both packages of course contain Christmas presents, and I am not looking forward to explain to my 10-year old granddaughter that Santa couldn’t deliver her Christmas presents due to bad weather or a natural disaster that obviously only affected the UPS facility in Fort Myers, Florida. I guess I just found out that it wasn’t the Grinch who stole Christmas, it was actually UPS this time!!

I bought a phone from T-Mobile and paid $25.00 to have it delivered sooner. UPS received it 12/19/17 and lost it. When I called to track it the customer service rep had zero interest in helping locate the gift. My son will not have a gift under the tree unless UPS finds it.

I read all of the reviews here and got very nervous because some of my packages had not shown up yet and it was getting late (almost 8pm). I tried calling customer service a few times before I finally got to speak to a rep. But the rep I spoke to was very hard to understand. After I hung up with him I was not confident so I then emailed UPS customer service asking them about the package. I also kept checking the website feverishly every few minutes for updates but it still kept saying "out for delivery". Finally after about a half hour the status changed to "delivered". I ran to my front door where I met my UPS guy coming in with the deliveries.
I am very lucky that I caught the UPS guy coming in and also my UPS guy who is a regular here is a very nice guy. Ironically, one of my packages required a signature by the company who shipped the item. They actually put a restriction of signature required on the delivery and no other delivery options were allowed. Meaning I could not walk into a UPS center, show ID and picked up my item. Had I not caught the ups guy I would have not gotten that package tonight due to the whole signature issue.
By the way I also had the same thing happen with FedEx last week. Lucky I was able to catch him as he was coming in the door as well. This is very frustrating especially if you are busy like me and don't have the time to just sit around all day waiting on deliveries... The only solution that has worked for me so far is to say a prayer and then keep refreshing the tracking information online until it updates to "delivered". But you have to be prepared to catch the delivery guy as he comes into the building or up to the house. Another clue is that they usually scan everything for your address in the truck before they come into the building/house. So once the status changed online I knew his truck was sitting outside. Good Luck!

My father sent a package of Christmas stockings from the US to Canada on Monday December 18th hoping it would arrive in time for Christmas. He thought that he had paid all necessary fees. UPS attempted a first delivery on Friday, December 23rd. There was no notice of ahead of time that they would attempt delivery. I was not at home. The driver left a 'Sorry we missed you' note that explained there would be a second delivery attempt on Dec 27th. And that there is a brokerage COD fee of $86.02.
My father was not told of these charges. The driver could not leave the package without collecting the fee. The driver cannot release the package to a delivery centre because of the fee. Even if I pay the fee over the phone UPS is unable to reach their drivers. They close the Friday before Christmas at 5pm and they reopen on the 27th. My chief complaints are: the COD charge being hidden from the sender, the lack of information about delivery times, the lack of options to collect a package. It's three days before Christmas, the package is in a truck 1 kilometer from my home, and there's no way for me to collect it.

I paid over $200 to send LSAT practice test material to my son in London. It was guaranteed delivery on Thursday, 11/16, but didn't get delivered until Monday, 11/20. It was critical that my son have the study material for the two weekends before the test, which is why I paid so much for shipping. Even if it had been delivered on Friday, 11/17 or Saturday, 11/18, it would have been acceptable. I could have mailed through USPS and gotten in there by the 20th for $100 less than UPS!!! In trying to get a refund, UPS customer service said the local store where I shipped had to file.
They tried twice, with no success. UPS blamed the 11/20 delivery on customs but customs released the package late on 11/16, but it was delayed by a UPS trailer on 11/17 and wasn't released for delivery until 11/20!!! I tried customer service, but was told only the shipping UPS store could file!!! Runaround, again! NO MORE UPS FOR ME! I will drive 1 hour to the next town to mail FED-EX from now on. UPS did not honor their guaranteed delivery date in a critical, expensive, late shipping!

However, I feel that it is vital to not only complain when we have bad experiences but also acknowledge the positive experience we receive as well. UPS has done an amazing job in delivering my package in a timely manner. Workers have worked hard to ensure that we receive our packages at our door and have provided great customer services.

Thank you so much for pointing out that it was your client's error (us, the shipper). Better check the manners of the people that you employ. You will lose a lot because of them. Also, I was waiting for the survey after the chat to pop up but for some weird reason it didn't come up. Kudos to Adonis ** for your sarcasm and how you assist your customers. :)

I ordered an OS from Apple, it was to be shipped UPS. Delivery was scheduled for last Monday the 18th. It is now Thursday the 21st, and I'm still waiting for my package. Each time I called UPS they LIED to me about where my package was and when it would be delivered. They claim they made a delivery attempt every day this week. That was a lie, I've been sitting here at my front door waiting for this package everyday. It bothers me more that they lie to me and jerk me around. I finally got tired of their lies and asked for a customer center where I could pick it up. They gave me an address in Pacifica Washington to pick it up. I live in Portland so driving 160 miles to Seattle doesn't help me at all. It's now been 5 days and I'm still waiting for this package. I'm tired of being a victim of UPS and their inability to do their job. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH UPS, they don't care if you get your package and randomly lie to you when the truth would work better.

I've been having issues with UPS package delivery lately. A few weeks ago they said a package would be delivered on a specific night but it wasn't. I called the next day, after having to go through some serious hoops to reach someone, and they just updated the delivery day on the spot with probably no idea of what was truly going on with the package. Today I received a message from Amazon that they lost or damaged a packaged and now my niece may not get her present in time because I had to re-order it. If you try to reach someone online or over the phone it's very difficult and they just don't seem to care. I guess they have a monopoly of sorts, but I have a feeling FedEx will end up taking over most deliveries at this point. I'm not mad and I don't hate anyway, but I'm very disappointing :)

I have been expecting a package, which was shipped Express on Dec. 13th. It should have arrived on December 15th, no later than 6pm. I followed the tracking and viewed the truck on the map for Delivery. It didn't show up. I called Saturday morning and spoke with an Agent. Please know that I have spoken with 5 different Agents since last Saturday. Each has been as helpful as they have been allowed to be. Each has made notes and call backs were suppose to happen. Not one time has anyone called me back. Even though in their notes they logged that they spoke with me???
Most importantly, I learned from a lady yesterday morning, Dec. 20th, that while I have been tracking my package on their live Map... with an estimated time from 2-6pm for Delivery... my package was never even on the Truck??? She explained that while it shows "Out for Delivery" that the driver has to scan it in as well. And it was never scanned in. So I have sat here waiting day after day explaining what is so important about this package. It weighs 1oz. It is a check that I need. Not for luxuries, but for living. And, perhaps one luxury... I had planned to go see my son at Fort Campbell. I haven't seen him since just after Thanksgiving last year... and the money I am waiting on will allow me a couple of days to visit with him and my daughter-in-law.
I am on hold as I am writing this... with UPS. I was told last night... after being on the phone for 40 minutes, that my package would be delivered today. Now, the man I am speaking with says it will be delivered tomorrow. I am stunned that any business, regardless of the season, has the audacity to blatantly lie day after day to the very people who keep them up and running??? In fact, I will also share because I was tracking the trucks that were delivering my package on Monday night and Tuesday night... that I followed them after they passed my home. I parked a distance from each driver and put my flashers on and waited. I didn't want to startle anyone. Each was very polite and shared that my package was never on their truck! I have many reasons to be upset. But the biggest is the failure of UPS to be at minimum be HONEST with their customers.
I would also like to note that I have taken Screen Shots every day that my 1oz. package was to be delivered and have a log of every call I made trying to resolve this matter. At this point in time, I will note that I trust USPS and FedEx, much more than I do UPS. I will no longer be utilizing their services, for they have completely lost my respect and trust... and assuredly do not deserve my money!!!

UPS.com is the worst website ever. Navigating it is a pain and preference options are buried through a series of links rather than being right up at the menu bar. Through the website as a My Choice member, I long ago set it up as having all packages rerouted to my local UPS store. Unfortunately, there is no option to turn it off! Now every single package goes to the UPS store, seemingly permanently.
Then I tried going into each tracking number and individually canceling this previous "request" and in doing so, the account loses the previous settings of my delivery instruction of having all packages placed at rear door of my house, and there is no way to request packages to be placed at the rear door because that option is already turned on in my main preferences but somehow shut off in each individual tracking number. Let's just say there are a bunch of other things that are messed up with this website and calling in for help is useless. Customer service just tells me to change preferences on the website, and I already have--they just don't work right!!

Let's see - we have this thing called HOLIDAYS every year, same time. It's happened in my lifetime, 63 times. Yet it appears UPS chose NOT to hire to cover the volume. They're forcing their drivers to work 70 hour weeks, which is unsafe. They left a package of garments for my business, outdoors on Friday night at 8:00 PM in an industrial neighborhood and we found it soaking wet on Monday. There were two other packages that show delivered but we didn't receive them, have combed the neighborhood and can't find them anywhere.
They are causing us losses for our business because if our base product doesn't arrive on a timely basis, then we cannot produce for our customers on a timely basis. Add to that, the fact they have KEYS to the alarm and vestibule so they can put things in a secure area, yet for the 5th time, they appear to have lost these expensive keys. The people at their local office don't seem to care and are even aggressive and hateful when trying to find an answer to THEIR problems.
Another fun fact - they have a 'helper' riding with the usual driver, and she just jumps out and actually THROWS packages at the house. One hit a window at 8 PM on Monday, and it's a wonder the contents AND THE WINDOW were not shattered. It would be one thing if they'd actually take responsibility and try to help but instead, we get bitter, angry employees who refuse to do what it takes to do their job (such as delivering during business hours and reimbursing us for losses when they lose our keys and put our businesses security at risk). Henceforth, I will use FedEx Ground for shipping anytime I have a choice. I'm expecting Amazon to dump UPS soon and start their own company. UPS has done nothing to earn anyone's business any longer.

I ordered a new phone from Sprint on Dec 7, 2017. It was sent overnight delivery and arrived at the Forest Park, GA Hub (Atlanta suburb) on Dec 8, 2017. The UPS website shows weather delays through Dec 14th (totally bogus - I live approx 25 miles from the facility - no bad weather during this time frame). I've talked to 4 different people at this hub since Dec 13, 2017, inquiring about the package (I have the names and dates documented). On Dec 14th I was told there were 120 people from the corporate office helping to get packages out (corporate office is in Atlanta, GA).
This same date I was told they had no way of knowing if my package was actually on the delivery truck (even though it shows Out For Delivery on their tracking system), if I wanted to call back later in the day they could contact the driver and he could physically look for my order in the truck (I tried every 15-30 mins from 2PM -5PM - the phone would ring for 2 mins then a recording would state the call could not be completed). The same thing has been told to me by every person I've talked to at that facility - they don't know if the order is on the truck by the information on their tracking system. Whaaat? ALSO, on Dec 14th as I was driving in the entrance to my neighborhood I was behind a UPS truck. I actually stopped when he did (2 delivery men in truck).
After explaining the above he asked if I would like to look in the truck. This was 6:00 PM and the truck was only half emptied and the boxes and packages looked like they had been thrown in the truck - no organization - I wondered how they could even map out a route to deliver these packages. I gave him my address and he said he would see me a little later. I haven't seen him yet. I've talked to the same supervisor at this hub twice and on Dec 18th she told me the item was considered lost after 48 hours. She also told me their hub is "a complete mess!" I commented that perhaps Steve ** - head of public relations, should be notified. She told me corporate is well aware of the problem. She took my name and number again, reluctantly, and told me she would check with the driver later in the day (I have his driver #) and get back to me. As of 11:00 PM, Dec 19, 2017, I haven't heard from anyone at UPS.
As a side note, UPS has delivered several other packages (Christmas orders) during this period of time, but there's a couple of others that now show "delayed."Today I called Sprint (for the 3rd time - I wanted them to be aware that I still didn't have my phone). They requested through UPS that the phone be "returned to sender", which their tracking system now shows. The Sprint employee advised me to go a Sprint store to get a phone because another phone would also be sent via UPS. I asked if a new phone could be sent through FedEx or the USPS and he said they had a contract with UPS and could not use another carrier.

My package was claimed to be delivered on Dec. 15, but I never received it. This is most likely due to the incredible carelessness of their delivery personnel. I was home to receive the package, so I must have missed them or it was delivered to the wrong address. More likely than not, I missed them because the delivery person speeds down the street and throws packages into the road. I have had multiple packages delivered in this manner, so I know this is probably what happened. (As a matter of fact, just today I have had a package thrown into the road when I was rushing out of my yard to receive it.) On Dec 11, I used two day ground shipping to ship an item from NYC to Atlanta. UPS website initially showed two day delivery. When delivery was not made by promised date, they changed due date to say they did not have a delivery date and that I should check back later. Three calls to customer service provided more info than the website but they still couldn't say when the package would be delivered. At that point the package was two days late and I had to leave the delivery address and would not return until after Christmas. So I asked the vendor to file a claim with UPS and send me another item at the address where I would be until Christmas. I wouldn't be surprised if it is after New Year's before this gets worked out. If you are trying to get something by Christmas, you'd better at least double the time UPS says it will take or better yet, use a more trustworthy shipper. I know I will avoid UPS in the future.

We shipped a custom product and insured it for $2200. It was packaged and secured in a wooden crate with packing around it. It was only going from Baltimore to Pittsburgh. First they lost it. When they finally found the crate they said the label had been scraped off. We cover the label in plastic and staple it on. There is also a packing slip secured in the same way. They opened the crate to be sure it was the right item; resealed it without any packing and sent it off to our customer.
When he received it it was damaged beyond repair. We had to re-make it and deliver it ourselves. Since then it has been nothing but a hassle. We have responded to every issue they asked about. They would ask us to fax it, and then say they never received it. Our fax machine does print out a confirmation that it went through. So we also emailed it to both UPS and their claims representative. We have called her many many times and she does not return our phone calls. Even our UPS sales representative says she can't reach her. This has been going on since 09/05/2017. Totally unsatisfactory!!! Why get insurance when it means nothing?

How I hate UPS? Let me count the ways! This is the most incompetent delivery service possible. My packages are not being delivered on time, I'm constantly being told that they were lost or misplaced, or I am lied to about "no one" being at home when I have intentionally stayed at home on delivery days to collect my Christmas packages. Every time a company notes that UPS will be the carrier for my shipment I cringe, and wait expectantly for incompetency rather than my package to show up. My advice to UPS: figure out how to do the job better, or leave deliveries in the hands of professionals like USPS and FedEx!

Nothing but a bunch of Lobotomized Monkeys. I have never had a worse customer experience. An overnight package was mailed from Chicago on Friday December 8, 2017. Did I get it Monday 12/11, NO! Did I get it Tuesday 12/12? NO! I called and was told that the address was bad (slight misspelling on the company name and no floor, but that should not have been a problem). Gave UPS the floor number. Did I get the package Wednesday 12/13? NO!
Called back and spoke to several supervisors. Was assured they made all the corrections and would get the package the next day. Did I get it on Thursday? NO! Called on Thursday and was told there was no apartment number, just the 14th floor. I told them that it is an office building, a 33-story office building completed in 1964. Can't miss it. My company occupies THE ENTIRE 14TH FLOOR. THERE IS NO APARTMENT NUMBER.
Went through several more layers of management. I think once I got to level 5 I managed to get someone actually located in the US. I did get a postcard from USPS delivered to my desk WITH THE EXACT SAME ADDRESS THAT UPS SAID IS UNDELIVERABLE!!! Was assured the package would be delivered by 11 am on Friday. Was it? NO! It is now after 3 pm and still no package. W...T...F?

Some packages arrived from overseas with customs duty owed. We understood that payment would be expected upon delivery. I didn't find it too surprising that for a C.O.D. order that drivers cannot accept cash payments--that's a safety concern and a good way to reduce risk for drivers, customers and the company. However, it's unacceptable to request a credit card or check payment and to be unable to provide a receipt for the transaction!
I called the UPS customer service line and they confirmed that their drivers are not equipped to provide receipts! They consider an electronic update on the tracking to serve as a receipt!!! And how long does that take? Whatever happened to proof of purchase AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE?! What if the electronic system ever has a glitch??? What then??? THERE REALLY IS NO GOOD ELECTRONIC EQUIVALENT TO AN OLD FASHIONED PAPER RECEIPT! I was expecting a return mail from the UK embassy which I had already paid for as next day air, the street address was wrong by one digit, and for a whole week, my package travelled all over California looking for the wrong address that doesn't exist. My phone number was on the label visibly and no one had the common sense to contact me or the embassy for address correction. Instead UPS started correcting the address at their own discretion without my consent. After waiting for a week I decided to track the package and saw how far it had gone around to different cities in 7 days. I called customer support and selected (automated) option for pick up and spoke to an agent to confirm my request to drive down for my package was received. She told me to expect a call within an hr and provided hub address to me in San Marcos.
I was 45 miles away from the address and decided to begin my drive down there while I waited for the call. I got the hub an hr later and my package was not in San Marcos as I was told by the customer care agent. Behold it was in another city few hours away. While I was waiting to be attended to, I watched as an old lady was told bluntly by another attendant that her package was lost and could not be traced, then I began to worry for my travel documents. I was asked to come back (by Mike) the next morning with the promise that my package would be on the shelf. Really upset I drove another 45 miles back without my package. I tracked my package the next morning while still waiting for a call and saw it was available for pickup as I requested. I drove 45 miles again (one way) for my package with mixed feelings.
At the hub, I was informed my package was already out for delivery and no one was home because it required a signature, therefore, the driver was driving around with my package. I was so outraged because my request for pickup was ignored. In summary, the manager (Lydia) called the driver and had me go meet the driver at his next location 9 miles away from the hub to pick up the package. Not so much of an honest apology was given nor an explanation as to why my package was back on the truck or why no one called me in the last 7 days, so bluntly she told me she couldn't have the driver return to the hub to drop off my package so I must go meet him wherever he is. The customer service on the phone and in person is so horrible and nonchalant.
I have had similar issues every single time I have dealt with UPS. It almost impossible to redirect a package that requires a signature to a more convenient address. You will pay for a service with your money and crawl on your knees to get your package. FedEx and USPS makes life easy. They have easy and fast rerouting processing with knowledgeable staffs. UPS has the most clueless staffs I have ever come across in my 30 yrs of living, and my advice to consumers is to get ready to pick up your package if you really need it. And companies that plan to keep their customers, DO NOT USE UPS!

I ordered a package on December 3rd and it was shipped December 4th with 2 day shipping. On December 6th it said it was “out for delivery”. However, it never showed up, which isn’t the first time this has happened. I waited till Monday Dec 11th when it showed it was “out for delivery” and yet again it was not delivered. So on Tuesday December 12th I had more 3 more packages for delivery out that had just arrived to the warehouse the night before, one of which needed a signature. At this point 2 of those showed but not the one that needed a signature nor the package from December 3rd. I asked the driver who said he had nothing else and then I called UPS. The lady on the phone gives me the runaround essentially saying they are experiencing large delays because of Christmas.
However, that is not an excuse, this happens every year and online purchasing is not going away, so their poor planning is on them. I told her I will just pick up these packages instead of waiting on delivery because she can’t tell me when they will actually be delivered, so she said I could pick them up tomorrow. I arrive to the local UPS location today to pick up the packages and the lady proceeds to tell me that they aren’t ready to be picked up and only 2 would be able to be picked up today, sometime this afternoon.
The one requiring a signature is of course one that won’t be available to be picked up because it hasn’t been processed yet. I ask how is that when the tracking said it would be “out for delivery” December 12th? She says that the process just essentially says something is out for delivery but may not actually be on a truck. At this point I directly ask her, "So you just lie and say something is out for delivery but actually it is not?" To which she responds “Yes Ma'am.” Absolutely ridiculous! UPS used to be a reliable company. In two weeks, two packages from two different vendors coming to me have been lost. One of those contained a $330 item. Lost package research began 11/30 for an "on the truck" delivery from 11/27. Local depot called me back (finally) after multiple calls. Was told they don't know where my package is, it was on the truck, could still be there "somewhere" as they load new packages on everyday and mine is likely in the back. Now 12/12, package still lost/unaccounted for.
Shipper re-sent a new one last week to replace the lost one. The package containing the replacement $330 item was rescheduled for delivery 3 times after showing it was "out for delivery" each day. UPS cust svc put in requests for me to receive calls back from the local Jacksonville depot, all without a return call. Called cust svc again, and when they put in the "urgent" request for local depot call back, assuring me I'd hear back within 1.5 hours, I inquired in passing if my coming to pick up the package was an option. Was told "wait for them to call you back, then ask them." NO CALL BACK. Hours later, I tracked package, which then showed that I (Customer) will pick up at Will Call and--one hour after that--that its status is that it is again on truck for delivery.
Called cust svc again... Advised I was inquiring about option, not definitely picking up as I am 40 miles from them, and that the prior rep had told me to discuss the pick up option upon receiving a call back only. Asked if package was in fact on truck for delivery as the most recent update had shown. Was told YES, will definitely receive that day. ALSO, when I questioned why I am receiving smaller packages but not these two very large (26 lb) ones, rep advised UPS is putting "large packages into totes and prioritizing delivery of smaller packages." Still had no delivery as of 8:30pm. Called back. Was put on hold and told YES, definitely will be delivered today, could be as late as 11:59pm. Never arrived.
Today, called UPS to follow-up at 10am as there was no updated tracking at all. Was told that the package was sitting at the depot 40 miles away and if I wanted it, I had to call the shipper so they could contact UPS and give me "permission" to pick it up (because apparently, UPS cannot do their job as paid for and deliver the package--and now I'm not even allowed to come to them and pick up my paid-for merchandise with proof of my name/address matching the package ship-to. So--they aren't bothering to deliver it to me as paid for, and I'm not allowed to do their job for them to come get my own stuff that I paid for... Okay, that makes NO sense.) Asked for supervisor, was told NO. Asked again, was told very rudely by rep, "okay, you can wait an hour, what is your phone number?" I simply hung up.
Called shipper. They called UPS. UPS had already re-routed the package to be returned them (NOT at their request.) Shipper apologized profusely and refunded my purchase price and shipping... Now they can deal with the $660 worth of merchandise and hope they get it back. I did tell them I will NEVER buy an item from them requiring UPS shipping and recommended that their logistics team utilize FedEx instead, as they are more reliable and helpful than UPS...cheaper, too!
So very disappointed in all the simply terrible, rude, ill-trained, ill-equipped and frankly--apparently untrustworthy--representatives that I interacted with over the course of these two packages alone (not even going to go on about the OTHER lost package, separate from this issue). I will never again ship or buy products that will be delivered via UPS.

The experience is horrendous, ranging from irresponsible to outrageous. If you have a choice, DO NOT use UPS. I ordered two packages from Macy's and got a tracking number. After waiting for a period of 4 or 5 days (allowing for the holiday rush), I checked with Macy's and the report from UPS said that I had agreed to pick up the packages at a UPS location. This is a lie, since nobody contacted me ever and I did not see any UPS employee/driver. Macy's put in another request for delivery. I check today and I get the message that my packages are at a specific location, which had no phone number. I call another UPS office and they tell that that center is not accessible to customers and that I should call corporate.
At this point I am more than unhappy. I call corporate and I reach a lady who tells me that she cannot find the package and that she is going to pass me onto another representative. Theoretically, she would inform him/her of the whole story I told her. When I finally get to the other associate, he says he knows nothing about it and I have to retell the whole story one more time. At the end of all this, he tells me that they cannot find the package and that he needs to start an investigation, but to do that he needs Macy's authorization, according to their contract. This is just ridiculous. I paid for my packages; the shipping was free because I paid a great deal.
I expected the packages to arrive to my door in a timely manner. Since this did not happen, I expected UPS to find my purchases ASAP and rectify their unacceptable level of service. This did not happen either. I would love to talk to someone from corporate with enough authority to solve this problem and not expect me to do all the work for them. They expect me to contact Macy's yet again and ask them to open an investigation. In the meantime, I still don't have my already-paid-for purchases. Once again, avoid UPS. They are completely unresponsive and irresponsible.

Since they apparently do not know when Christmas and Cyber Monday fall on the calendar they do not have enough drivers for the huge backlog. So a package I was suppose to get when I was home to sign for shows up three days late on the day I wasn’t home. So instead of attempting delivery again they decide to send it to my local UPS store. Ok that’s inconvenient but at least I’ll get it. Wrong! Not only did the “manager” lie to me that it would be delivered by 5 pm to the UPS store but for some reason the package was sent to Kentucky. I would like to know how a package that was in Spokane WA on Friday winds up in Kentucky on Monday. They tried to blame the merchant saying there are two packages in the system with same tracking number.
The first manager said the merchant is ripping off UPS by reusing tracking numbers. How is that even possible? Also, if that were true, I would see both packages when I looked up the tracking number instead of mine which is now in Kentucky. Even an idiot should know Kentucky is not even close to Washington State. Here is the kicker the package originated in California and if I do receive it based on their sketchy website it will have taken over two weeks to arrive. I could have driven to California and back in less time. I loathe the attitude that it is not their fault they received more orders than they expected. Seriously? If all you do is deliver packages and you can’t do that, maybe you should reevaluate your business. Don’t blame customers because your company was too cheap and lazy to hire more help. On 12/7 our package ** was placed on the truck FOR DELIVERY. It was not delivered. On 12/8 It was again on the truck FOR DELIVERY. It was again not delivered. On both occasions the reason UPS gave was weather. On 12/7 I drove my 2 wheel drive Ford Expedition to San Angelo (where the UPS depot is located) and back home, encountering no driving difficulties in the 230 mile round trip. On 12/8 at about 2 pm the FedEx truck arrived at our home to make a delivery. He also encountered no difficulties in driving probably because it was sunnier than the previous day with no precipitation.
Based on these facts one can only assume that either UPS management, in San Angelo or the UPS driver made the call that conditions were too hazardous to make our delivery. How could the management team 115 miles from us have knowledge of the conditions at our location???? How could the driver, who only delivered to Ozona proper have any knowledge of conditions 35 miles from his last delivery???? Why did the UPS employees lie about the delivery conditions? I reported this to UPS customer service. Their answer was "Sorry... Keep checking the tracking number." Why? I had checked it twice, it was wrong both times. They did not even attempt to answer the same questions I asked above. If they don't respond to these questions how will they locate the responsible employees and take action to correct the problem?
I repeated my questions and comments and they responded by asking for a phone# so the depot could call when delivery was imminent. They have been trained to answer NO QUESTIONS, to apologize and to simply advise you to wait. Not awfully long ago on their FACEBOOK page they had a section where you could openly post a complaint. Your post would then be given an answer similar too. "We're sorry, but give us an email address and we will contact you". This was brilliant. They never gave their response in public, they still never answered any questions and they still made you wait. They've taken this forum off of Facebook, probably because they had too many complaints. That hasn't changed but now we can't see or support what other consumers are going through.

UPS Ground was running with delays last week because of the holiday rush. I therefore spent extra to send a package Wed for delivery by 10:30 am Thurs via Next Day Air. It got to the destination center and they wrote the vague notice on the tracking at 9am Thurs.: "An emergency situation or severe weather condition has delayed delivery. Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day." The package wasn't delivered until 8:42 pm Fri evening (instead of 10:30 am Fri morning assuming there was in fact a valid delay) and they refuse to give a refund even though this was due to them being overloaded. This is a fraudulent practice.

If your company is an alternative to the USP office then you should hold the same standards as the USP office and provide the same quality. I have not received packages from UPS, received packages that were damaged and look like someone played football with the package, I have dealt with non-existent customer service representatives; who are based out of the country and do not have a clue how to handle a issue without reading a script provided for them. In the end this will be another review submitted about UPS in which, UPS doesn't really care because if they did there would be changes to their procedures.

You delivered a package and put it in front of our garage door. Guess what, after opening the garage door and got in my car, I backed over the package and ruined the content. The package was a X-Mas present from friends, and I will have a hard time explaining to them what happened to their gift. As a minimum I would expect UPS to replace the gift as ordered through L.L. Original review: After major delays in packages being delayed I call UPS customer service tonight and requested all four packages be returned to the shipper. Each day for four days tracking indicated the packages were out for delivery but were never delivered. I called UPS customer service a number of times, they were no help.

I have had over 75% of my packages and merchandise destroyed by UPS. I have spent over 20 hours on the phone with them about this. They state they are NOT responsible for torn up, dropped, thrown about, ripped up packages at all!! They state the consumer has absolutely no recourse when UPS destroys your packages and merchandise. That only the seller can take action, when this happens! UPS has lied about me, they have showed total indifference to severely breaking packages and merchandise. And, they have made it clear that the consumer is "on the hook", for UPS damages!!! This is the worst and most crooked big business I ever have encountered. They even make you wait for hours on the phone, trying to resolve an issue. PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. Complain to your merchants, and refuse UPS packages that show ANY damages, and post this everywhere you can.

Where to begin… In summary, my issues are everyone's issues: UPS will not "lift a finger" to deliver an item that arrives at its hub prior to the expected delivery date. All other outfits do each and every time. If your package arrives 3 days ahead of your expected delivery date and you think you will get a courtesy early delivery... Guess again. You are going to wait. That has absolutely zero to do with peak delivery seasons either. Next issue, and one I am currently experiencing. Got a package that arrived in town 11/30 with an expected delivery date of 12/1. Package went on the truck 12/1 and it is now 12/8 and I have no package. It showed on the truck for delivery every single day and apparently they "just couldn't make it.” The driver even changed the log on 2 occasions - as if I didn't already see that it was on the truck for delivery...
Good luck complaining and speaking to someone. If you are fortunate enough, and you have the luxury of having nothing else better to do with your day, you'll get the expected tired excuses about "record shipments" or some such thing. Not my problem, and not an excuse for 7 straight days of delays. No restitution. Not a thing you can do.
USPS - good old US mail - love them, absolute trust in the mail system. OnTrac - Fabulous. FedEx - Fabulous. Even my global company had to hire FedEx because UPS could not be counted on for our sensitive deliveries - and UPS had contractual exclusivity with us. Are they the worst? Absolutely - If I judge all objectively. I would estimate 40% of all my deliveries meet the 2 mentioned complaints and UPS is the only company to shaft its customers like this.So - since I can do nothing - we can do nothing, I am going to complain to every business/company I order from and let them know that their business with me suffers because of who they choose to partner with to execute deliveries. I hope others will join me in this angle of attack against UPS incompetence.
That is my genuine, truthful, objective, and not a single bit exaggerated, consistent experience with UPS.

We had ordered holiday cards from Shutterfly and paid for expedited shipping. They were supposed on arrive on 12/6. At 930pm on 12/6, the UPS website showed that they were in ATL but not out for delivery. I called the call center and was told that they could see that the package had arrived in ATL but for some reason had not been unloaded and was not out for delivery. The CSR was puzzled and apologetic but totally not helpful. He did say he was sure it would be delivered the next day (12/7). On 12/7 - the same experience repeated itself. On both days, I sent an email to the UPS help desk, got the automated reply but no other reply. In theory, the package should be delivered today, and I have my fingers crossed. I wish that I had the option of choosing either USPS or FedEx as a shipper vs. UPS, as this has happened multiple times, but this is the first time with an expedited shipment. They are truly unreliable and awful!

I paid for a check to be delivered next day air so that I could assist my mother- who lives in Indiana get a new furnace for herself and her adopted kids. It's been in the 20's in Indiana and we all know how cold it can get in the north. It was supposed to arrive on 12/5. It didn't. UPS advised that there was adverse weather in Kentucky and it would be delivered the 6th. It arrived in Jacksonville around 4am and was scanned. It sat in the Jacksonville warehouse all day. No one scanned it again until the evening time. Another day wasted- my mom and her kids still no heat. Advised it would be delivered Thursday. Out on truck all day for delivery. I waited around my home all day. At 9pm I called UPS again to inquire about the delivery and how long would it be. I sat on hold for a representative for over 30 minutes. I was then advised that the delivery driver went through my neighborhood at 9pm and he's on his way back to UPS.
I asked why he didn't try to deliver and that it was urgent. I also asked to speak with a supervisor. I received a case file number and was advised that the supervisor would call me back by 10am the next day. We are now on day 12/8- at 10:30 AM I reached out again to speak with a supervisor and discuss the issues. Was advised that they would send another "urgent" message and I would receive a callback. As of 2pm on 12/8 there has been no delivery and no call back from any supervisor of any type. This is the worst service I have ever received.
They are putting NO PRIORITY on Next day air packages nor are they being considerate and delivering the late packages first. And the really SAD thing about this entire episode is that my MOM AND HER KIDS still have NO HEAT because I cannot get my check to cash for the funds to assist. This is absolutely horrible and the CEO at UPS should be made aware of the inconsiderate people they have working for them.

I asked her it said online yesterday it will deliver today and same thing is happening today. Am I going to get today or not? She said, “You can cancel the order or else you have to wait”... I have waited till 10pm today. Around 10pm status changed again. It will deliver tomorrow. I would say we shouldn’t use UPS services anymore. I purchased a mattress, frame, blanket, sheets, mattress cover for my sister who has cancer. I placed this order on 11-23-17. All items except mattress arrived. My first complaint was that the driver left all my packages outside my fence and gate. My normal driver always puts things over the fence, and it is common sense to not leave packages outside of gate, where they could easily be stolen. This was my first complaint. Now the nightmare begins. My mattress was due to arrive on the 26th, on the 27th I get an email from Amazon that my item just shipped??? I called and found out driver forgot to put on the truck. Then it was to arrive on the 28th, then 29th, then 30th, then 12/1/17... meanwhile I am talking with Amazon, and with UPS AND all of these days it was out for delivery. Then Amazon sends another mattress next day air, and I am suppose to get it on the 2nd, then the 3rd, then the 5th, 6th, then the date is moved to the 12th.
I had it confirmed yet again that both mattresses were on the truck on the 6th, but no delivery. Today on the 7th I received 4 notices from UPS that I had deliveries today, guess what... no deliveries. In the middle of this I was to also get my medication, so I called UPS and yet at 9:49 pm the driver throws the package and I am handicapped and got out there to stop him and ask about the two mattresses he has and he quickly started truck, did a U-turn and looked right at me and sped up and left. I was so angry, so angry. This is insane and now I am concerned that I cannot use Amazon if they are using UPS.
I have spoken to everyone, and although Amazon is nice and their customer service is good, nothing was done to get me my mattress. So now I canceled and refunded all items to the mattress that never came. This is horrible. This has been so stressful. They keep saying, “Oh it will be today, wait till end of day...” Yeah right. Crazy. Terrible service. Now I have them scheduled to pick up these items, and guess what... no show today. I am so upset.

We sent someone to the customer center which is 45 minutes away, to pick up our packages and they still have not released them. We do not owe any money. When our representative went to pick up the packages, he found a room full of other people trying to pick up their packages as well, and they were not being assisted either. I ship my product all over the world, I had an account with UPS but I refuse to use them because of the delivery delays they create themselves. Every time I shipped a package with them or receive a package from them I watch the tracking of my shipment. They give an estimated delivery date let’s say the 10 of November. The package shows up at the local UPS facility on the 4th of November, instead of going ahead and delivering the package they hold it until the estimated delivery date. My customers also track their packages and when using UPS in the past they would get very irate about this. I have a package that arrived in the Raleigh, NC facility on the 3rd of December, it indicated on the truck for delivery on the 4th of December, it was not delivered and showed in the system the night of the 4th as may be delayed, it did not show up on the 5th of December and showed that it was en route to destination.
I called UPS on the 6th of December and after being on hold 4 different times for 4 different people was finally told that they could not find my package and an investigation was put in the system. If this was a one time thing I would not be putting in this review but this happens almost every time I have something coming in by UPS. Personally I use the US Post Office and can ship cheaper and faster anywhere in the world including in the old Iron Curtain countries and have not yet in the last 10 years of shipping with them had a package lost, last or damaged, my suggestion to anyone thinking about using UPS is to re-think your options. Updated on 12/07/2017: I posted here the other day about a package that I have not received yet. UPS has had it at our local hub for five days now, each day saying it is out for delivery so each day instead of doing my regular things I hang around the house waiting for the delivery, each day it does not show up. Yesterday I called UPS Corporate and was told they could not find the package so they put in a lost package investigation. Within minutes of this it showed up again as out for delivery. Well it was not delivered again. Today I went to the customer service desk at the Raleigh NC hub, I asked where my package was, I was told it was in the warehouse at the main hub.
I asked why it was not yet delivered to me I was told because it weighed 70 lbs that it would have to wait until the smaller packages were delivered. I asked where the hub was so I can pick it up. I was told they could not tell me that and that I would have to pick it from customer service. I asked them to have it transferred to them, they said they could not do that. I would have to wait until the hub transferred it to them. I asked for a supervisor. They said there was not one on site, I asked for the name and number of someone at the hub I could talk to. I was again told they could not give me that information. They said all you can do is wait until the package is delivered. Someone please tell me how the hell are these people still in business?

I believe Consumer Affairs belief that 1-star is the lowest rating, is a disservice as some of these items are not worth a single star. UPS attempted a surprise delivery, because it was Saturday and no one was home. Didn't know they could deliver on Saturday, for a UPS Ground delivery. Posted on the door, however, were directions for alternate authorized delivery that they have followed for hundreds of packages prior to this one -- who can sign for any package and show authorization to sign on our behalf, if UPS needed proof. Instead, they left a notice that they would attempt re-delivery on the following weekday (Monday).
When attempting a live chat complaining about the fact that they didn't follow the directions for having someone else sign (someone located at a location they had to pass to leave my area), the chat apologized and assured that the package would delivery today (Monday)... Went home to wait for package, which should have delivered by 7PM, and at 7:50PM started another chat and was told it was on the vehicle and would deliver that night. I pointed out that it was now outside the posted window, and was assured that because of the volume, they were running late, it would still be delivered. I asked how late I should have to wait, and they said they deliver until 10PM.
When it didn't arrive after 10PM I started another chat and again waited for my turn in the queue (each of these chats takes at least 10-minutes of waiting, if not more), and finally near 11PM CST I started another chat, and at this point, I noticed the deliver date had changed to Tuesday. The last chat person had no visibility to the fact that it had been out for delivery on Monday. He only saw that it was to be delivered on Tuesday, and all previous Out For Delivery information was not present in the track (I have since checked by email account, and I have the email telling me I have a package coming on Monday, and now have the Tuesday version of the email).
So UPS believes that I have forever and a day to wait for them to decide if they feel like delivering my package. I have continually complained to the retailers that a lot of this is their fault as they don't hold the carriers accountable. Once the retailer has charged you, as the buyer, you are on your own. This is great when it all works, but not so great when it falls apart.

I called UPS, described the driver's appearance, and they said they'd make sure his supervisor got the report. However, when I noted my activity report online, it was said, "The package was not ready at the time of the first pickup attempt. A second attempt will be made." - the first lie! I called UPS immediately, and asked that they not send a driver the next day; I wouldn't be home. A driver obviously came to pick up the package. I wasn't home, so he left a message as of his 2nd attempt (I've called UPS numerous times, and there were always apologies, but nothing was ever done; in fact, they blamed the victim - me.).
I rescheduled for a Monday pickup. No show. I'd changed my schedule to accommodate the driver. When I called UPS again, to let them know of this mishap, they said the driver attempted to pick up the package, but no one was there. The 3rd lie. The 2nd lie was, "The receiver has canceled the product order and refused delivery." I'd told the UPS agent that I couldn't be home because I'd waited all day, and I couldn't wait any longer. I didn't refuse, I just couldn't be at home. UPS is a horrible company to work with. Integrity is not on their list, and they need to be closed down, or the CEO needs to train his workers. These drivers and customer service are the worst I’ve ever dealt it. Save your money and go to FedEx! They actually care about their customers and every package gets delivered on time. I’m still waiting on 2 packages that I paid extra to have expedited and they’re nowhere to be found and these idiots can’t find the package or have it delivered. Horrible, incompetent and honestly, a piece of ** company!! I hope they go bankrupt one day because their way of dealing with their customers is sure to lead them down that road when everyone starts going to FedEx!!!

This will be the 7th time UPS either fails to deliver when promised or shows up after 10PM looking to deliver when the email I received says delivery by end of day. My day ends at 8 max. They rescheduled my delivery for Sat, by end of day, I canceled my plans to wait for my delivery, and of course, it never arrived. I check on the UPS app to see if they rescheduled, still shows enroute with no info available. By far the worst delivery company out. At least in NJ. I will not buy anything online if their delivery is done by UPS.

I ordered a Chromebook on Amazon. I had Amazon Prime. I bought it on Nov 27th, and so it was going to arrive on Nov 29th. UPS is the carrier for the shipment of my item from Amazon. On Nov 29th, the tracking information said that it's out for delivery. I'm so excited. But night came, and it never showed. I looked it up, and it had gone back to the UPS facility after being out for delivery. OK. Maybe it was too busy and never got to my house, so I waited for next day. Nov 30th was exactly the same result.
Tracking information said it's out for delivery again, but didn't arrive, and on the site, it said it went back to the facility. I'm not very happy at this point. It's an expensive item, and it's for work. I need it. So I called Amazon, and they didn't have much information, except there's a 24 hour window for them to deliver (which already passed since they didn't deliver 2nd day), but since Amazon said they should deliver by Dec 1st, I waited. Then on tracking info, it stated there is a delay with no additional info on deliveries. I gave benefit of doubt since the deadline given for the delayed delivery was Dec 2nd. Dec 2nd came and still, no package in sight. All my other items I ordered later on other days had all arrived, but this one hadn't. I looked up the UPS website using my tracking number, and they mentioned mechanical failure delaying delivery, but what is it? Who knows. It wasn't clear.
I tried to call UPS but its machine didn't give me option to talk to agent at all, and only gave less than the info I had on websites about the delay (it simply stated the package was delayed, not even mentioned the mechanical problem). So I called Amazon, they were very helpful, stayed with me on phone, and called UPS on other line. I was on phone with Amazon for ALMOST AN HOUR...and they still couldn't get through to UPS to ask their agent where is my item and why it's delayed, especially when it had been sent out to delivery twice on Nov 29th and 30th but being returned to facility for unknown reasons.
What is this unknown unexplained "mechanical" problem? What can a mechanical problem be with a box? They have plenty of trucks, so even if a truck broke down, there can be other trucks. Was a scanner broken? But I'm sure they have more than one scanner. WHAT IS THE MECHANICAL PROBLEM that is causing my item to be delayed?? No idea. No way to find out. CAN SOMEONE HELP???
UPS apparently doesn't care enough to help. None of its help center (which is all machine) is helpful. Even the help chat is machine, not real person behind it, just like the help phone, and giving only general information that you can find online already. Why would a help center provide info that is already available? People contact help center to get help that they can't find elsewhere! I tried to email them. I'll wait and see. If they respond properly with helpful information, I may change the review here. But for now, all avenues I tried to get help with UPS did not help, and worse, cannot even be really utilized, especially the phone.
Moreover, where is my item?? Why should Amazon have to lose business because of a stupid carrier service like UPS? I will never ever use UPS to ship anything after this. I can't help it that sellers use UPS for their shipments, and I have no choice in that. But I will never ever be a shipper with UPS. Their service is horrible! Sometimes, they don't even ring the doorbell and assume no one is home and not leave the package (I work from home... I'm always home). HELLO! There is a doorbell. Please ring it! Knocking on the door is not going to help because no one can really hear their taps (unless they pound on the door, which to their credit, they don't). But for this incident, there wasn't even an attempt to deliver, or if there was, no attempt to come to my door to deliver, only staying on the truck or something, or in their facility or something. Did someone steal the item from their end? I don't know.
I am writing a lot because I'm very upset. I need my Chromebook for work. I took a long time to find the right laptop for me, I paid a good amount of money for it, and I have Amazon Prime, which means I should get it faster. That's fine, things happen. It's Holidays time, it gets busy. I can understand. But then UPS not having a real helpline to actually help their customers...that is completely WRONG! Who has the time to sit around for an hour on the phone (with no one picking it up?) Even the Amazon help staff was calling - a corporation calling them - and still no result. What kind of business relations is this??

I’ve waited all day for the package then at 8 pm the status changes to "In transit, estimated delivery unavailable". I’ve been waiting on this package for a week because of “delays” due to inclement conditions. UPS needs to get their act together. They know what happens during the holidays. They know a lot of packages get sent out. They need to be prepared for it. Obviously they’re not. The least they could do is not say my package is out for delivery and I wait all day for it and then change it to "in transit". That’s BS.

I receive all mail at a PO Box at the post office. At many companies where I order products they do not accept PO Boxes for delivery. RANT!!! #UPSsucks Wednesday we are notified by UPS via email that we have a package coming (well really more than one, two are already a day late that were supposed to be delivered yesterday) and should be delivered between 3:30 and 7:30pm. Still waiting at 9:20 pm when the driver finally arrives. We hear him going through the truck from inside the house more than likely searching for the packages. He comes to the door with three. Two that were due to be delivered yesterday and one due tomorrow. The one that was supposed to come today is AWOL. When asked about the 4th package, he said he could not find it on the truck but he is busy and will bring it Thursday.
Thursday... The package has been rescheduled for delivery today between 3:30 and 7:30pm. At 9pm we are still waiting and call UPS Corporate. After waiting on hold for close to an hour we talked to a rep who said they were sorry but the package will be rescheduled for Friday (same time) and someone from the Edison terminal will call us on Friday at 10. Friday... No call received at 10am... At 8pm we are still waiting for the delivery. UPS Corporate says they will have someone call from Edison in 15-20 minutes. (no call received) It is now past 10pm on Friday and we spend over an hour on hold with UPS Corporate to find out why the package has now be rescheduled (AGAIN!) for Saturday 3:30-7:30pm. Saturday... When looking up the tracking details now the package is just sitting at the terminal and not even on a truck out for delivery.
Updated on 12/05/2017: Rant goes on, "You'll get it when you get it" is what I was told when UPS called me back from the EDISON NJ Terminal. There was a woman's mad voice telling me about my undelivered package, that I was to have gotten for the last four times the package was out for delivery (and still haven't received). She stated that the truck would come in from its route late and my package was pushed to the front of the still loaded truck and then more stuff loaded on back of truck. So I asked why don't they move the packages that did not get deliver to the back of the truck so they would get delivered, she yelled it was not her problem and it was the terminal manager's problem. Told me I would get it when I get it and I said, "You know you're talking to a customer and she slammed the phone on me."

I have next day air shipment with UPS. It should deliver on Thursday. Online tracking shows technical issue cant update. About 9 pm in evening I have contacted UPRS by phone. There was a wait of 30 minutes to talk with representative. Once representative came on phone, I asked for shipment update and he said, "Your shipment is on vehicle. It will be deliver today." I asked it's already 9:30 pm and online tracking dont show that shipment is on vehicle. He replied, "I have checked. Shipment is with Driver. It will be deliver today. Due to holiday season we will deliver up to 11 pm." On that day I did not receive shipment.
Next day morning again I called UPS. Another 30 minutes wait and representative said, "I am not sitting in your state so I can not do anything, I am sending message to the local office and they will open at 9 am then they will call you between 9 to 10 am. You will get call from local office between 9 to 10 am." Until 10:15 am I did not receive any call or any update about shipment, I called again to UPS with another 30 minutes wait, representative said, "I put another request and you will get a call from local office within 10-15 minutes to take next step on your shipment." Till 12 pm there is no call from UPS. I really dont know what they want to do. I have asked for next day air because I need it urgently and they are not replying properly. Now shipment status update out for delivery again.
My concern is all three representative just made stories. No one provide correct information. They are just trying to pass the time and wait to shipment deliver. They know once shipment will deliver customer will forget this. Again and again 3 call each time 30 minutes long wait, they made stories about local office will call you but no one reply. It is really frustrated as not getting shipment on time. Also all the representative trying to make fool to customer. No one gave correct information. They just wait to deliver shipment because they believe once shipment will deliver customer will forget.
Very pathetic service from UPS. My concern is I have paid or requested for next day air, if you cant deliver next day air then why you take shipment. I can go to FedEx and ask for next day air. Second concern is shipment can be delay due to rush but all the representative are trying to make customer fool. No one gave correct information. No one gave follow up call to verify does issue was resolved or not. They were just delaying to wait for the shipment delivery. Every time when I call UPS minimum 30 minutes wait. No one has time in busy life to wait for 30 minutes on hold and after 30 minutes long wait representatives are giving false information. I gave only one star because cant go below than that.

I can't tell you how many bad experiences I've had with UPS... I've lost count. What I can tell you is that any time I have a package coming that requires a signature (always from Verizon when getting a new phone... Like today), I can guarantee you it won't show up when scheduled. I will take a day off from work to be here to sign for the package... Become a prisoner in my own house waiting for UPS to show. 7 p.m. passes... No UPS. 8 p.m., still no UPS. Chat with CSRs who "assure me the package will be delivered today"... except, no it will not be delivered today. Maybe tomorrow. Who knows. But I can't keep taking days off to sign for it and have no other options - can't have it delivered to work because it's not an option.
No neighbors to sign for it for me, either. They suggest I go pick it up at UPS - 15 miles away. Excuse me? How about your driver do their job, the one they are getting paid to do??? They charge a hefty amount to ship and then want you to go retrieve it??? Packages requiring signature should be the first ones delivered. Or have a separate delivery truck just for those packages. I'm sorry but there's no excuse whatsoever for not delivering a "signature required" package on the scheduled day, unless the driver was in an accident! But this has happened to me so many times, like I said... I've lost count. I HATE UPS!!!

Not good experience. My packages were held up here for three days without a move, not sure why not delivered to my house. After several chat and phone sessions with UPS, I was told to pick up at this location, which wasn't what discussed during the phone and chat. Called this location, a gentleman answered the phone, but couldn't find my stuff by tracking number, but tried by my last name and found my packages, and then told me that I could come over to pick up at the moment. So I drove there after hang up the phone, but only being stopped at the security gate, told me the pickup time window is only 8am-9am and 7pm-8pm. Tried to call that phone number back, no one picked up the phone. What a waste! There isn't customer service here.
Update: Spent an hour on the road and 30 minutes waiting, then was told my packages were not ready for pickup, have to come back tomorrow. When I asked what time, the guy said not sure, just around 11 am or so. This facility only open 8am-9m and 7pm-8pm, so I asked for a note with what he told me, so I can present the note to the security guard, he refused to do so. The guard on duty promised to talk to his supervisor and call me back before 10 pm tonight. Well, we'll see. Update 2: Security guard called back, told me the package won't be ready tomorrow for pickup. He doesn't know if I will get a notice or not for pickup. Have no idea what can be done. He simply gave up. Update 3: Spent about an hour with UPS agent on live chat. Make the story short, I was told to wait for tomorrow from this facility to call me about the status. My main complaint is with their website. I find it confusing and ineffective. In this day of modern technology most services seem to use the internet to improve performance. UPS seems to have missed the boat. The painful process of receiving a package via UPS begins with a useless and complex email stating that something's arriving tomorrow anytime between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. That doesn't really help anyone plan their day, does it? Next it offers make believe options, such as assigning it to a UPS store nearby, holding it at the airport, or rescheduling for another useless 12 hour window on another day. In my most recent delivery everything but, hold at the airport, was grayed out and not an option for some reason. When I clicked on the airport option the program froze. Today I got another email saying, "We tried to deliver and you weren't home".
Now my package is stuck on the truck and I'll be locked in a tug of war for several days to get it back to the airport where I can pick it up. This is not an isolated case, this happens every ** time I get a package from UPS. Here's a suggestion UPS, if you're going to email people and ask them what delivery option they want don't load it on the truck until you hear back from them. Why keep carting stuff around all day making it impossible for the customer to get it when you don't even know if they are going to be around to receive it. Also, put a big phone number on the email that says... “call here 24/7 to talk to a rep if you have a problem...” and answer the phone.

If I could give a negative -1 I would! The entire process was and still is a completely horrific experience. First, the website was not working properly, so an agent had to enter my info., and I had to create an account... DON’T DO IT! Since I was moving my mother with me to another state I didn’t have my computer to print labels, so she said a driver would bring them between 10am-2pm. And quoted a price and assured me it wouldn’t go over a certain rate. That’s laughable. It cost way more and the driver never showed. I called and they told me, "Oh, it’s up to 7pm." The guy came an hour after I called without any manual slips and had no idea he was getting the boxes, so I had to write everything on each box. This was after he called his supervisor. Now... That’s 1 supervisor.
I shipped boxes from state to state; items were in a box that were fragile/Glass on all 4 sides, and marked as such with the proper wrapping and insulation to prevent damages, as well as other boxes. Well, that didn’t matter because the boxes were smashed, large holes out of the box and missing pieces of the box! I had to file a report and the entire time the customer service kept telling me it shipped from the destination. It didn’t; I was the shipper and destination and I was there for the pickup and the arrival. I had to talk to a supervisor about that. Then I had to talk to another supervisor about the charges added I wasn’t told about and wasn’t on my account. More calls and no resolution for damages or charges. I was on hold for over 40 mins., because a supervisor had to be involved and I was told specific charges were taken off.
This is all within 5 days. Someone else called me and had the story mixed up again. Another supervisor about the damages. An agent took all of my info for the damages and I was told 2 days later, 1 Damage file was approved and the other wasn’t... Didn’t make sense. But ok. I get another call 2 days later saying nothing was on file and I would get a form sent... Nothing came, they entered my email wrong. I had to call again! Sorry, if I’m jumping all over but I am so irritated with this!
The next day I get a call stating I wanted to ship something and file for damages... Huh? I told her no. That’s incorrect. It’s already been shipped and received by me, and had to go through the entire scenario again. I told her I just wanted the invoice, my Damage compensation and I didn’t want anyone else calling me from UPS. Really... 2 days later I get the invoice and none of the credits are there. I call again. This rep says there is nothing in the file and it has to go to finance AGAIN!!? So needless to say, someone from UPS has to call me again... REALLY!!! This is by far the worst experience ever, and I will NEVER ship anything UPS home pick up again!! It just sits there, regardless of the time of year and package flow. I contacted customer service about my most recent package delivery 3 times in 2 days without a successful response:
By chat: oh man was this frustrating. Their overall response was that I should just keep waiting and watching the website. NO RESOLUTION. Called their number since their chat was down. The lady was nice and understanding. She said she put an urgent message to the Lenexa branch to have the manager call me within the hour. Hour and a half with still no call. Called an hour and a half after the first call. Was told they had a physical scan for the package being on the truck. It's now after 8 PM CST and they're saying it could be delivered any time (experience told her it could be as late as 10 PM CST).
Now for my next issue: there is a discrepancy in their records. They received 2 destination scans from Lenexa, KS. They posted 2 updates (an exception saying it would be delayed a day and "Out for Delivery") from Lenexa, MO (if anyone can find this city on a map I'd really like to know). I'm still waiting for the package. Honestly at this point it would have been easier to drive out to the place and pick it up myself (several days drive). Furthermore, I haven't ever seen my UPS guy deliver a package to my house any time after 4 PM CST. It being after 8 PM makes me sincerely doubt that he will actually deliver the package today even though they keep saying it will be delivered today. Also can't give me an update on where the package is by contacting the driver.

I receive 3 emails from UPS stating my package would be here between 3-7. I left at 12:00. Was back at 12:28. They attempted to deliver at 12:06 then refused to redeliver. I called first time. They said someone would call me back. Never did. I called back 2 hours later. They were rude and told me delivery time was not accurate. Website says leave a note. I did and they refused my signature on the note. Left on the front door!!! UPS slip was left stuck to door next to my signature.
Due to me receiving notice via email from UPS with my new phone being delivered today I canceled old account so now after midnight I will have no phone until they decide to deliver my package!!! They scheduled delivery for tomorrow so now I have to take the entire day off AGAIN to wait for delivery. This is NOT CONVENIENT AND COSTING ME MONEY missing work!!! Reps were rude and very unprofessional! They told me the delivery time didn't mean anything!!! The rep then said I would get the package between noon and 1 tomorrow however received a follow up email AGAIN stating between 3-7 pm. I will personally never use UPS again.

I really don't write a lot of reviews, but my recent horrendous experience with UPS has really compelled me to sign up here and write a review. I ordered a package that should have arrived from the 22nd at the earliest to the 27th at the latest, and have yet received anything. It's been updated to 'out for delivery' about 4 times, only to be delayed to the next day or rescheduled. They had the audacity to even put 'delivery attempted' on the first day, which was complete BS, since I was home that entire day (I would had received a notice at the door even if I wasn't present).
I finally had to email and call UPS in order to get anywhere. The lady on the phone said my package would arrive today, or that they would AT LEAST call me by the end of the day if it didn't, but neither of these happened. I'm sure their disorganized crew has the box lost somewhere in their warehouse, so I'm guessing it's bound to be found. In any case, I'll probably be expecting this package a few days later, despite it being already a day late. For anyone using UPS that finds anything wrong or suspicious with their tracking, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you contact them by phone or email and pester them to get your package delivered on time. This is honestly the worst experience I've had with a shipping service.

UPS is absolutely a cluster for a company. I signed up for their online account at UPS.com. I had one package years ago sent to a UPS store as I was not in town. Years later I still cannot get UPS to stop sending packages there. When my new iPhone was shipped it took an additional week for me to pick up because of this little glitch. I had to speak with 3 different UPS customer support reps all with different answers, all telling me I would receive the package the next day. At long last I had to call Apple and with a conference call that I had to set up we got to the bottom of this and I had to go down to the distribution point and get my package.
When I called UPS to resolve this, I was told I needed to upgrade my account in order to change this "feature" on. Delivery to my own address. I have informed everyone that I know not to use UPS anymore. My business will not use them anymore, I have canceled my accounts with UPS. I will no longer use UPS for Amazon orders. The fact that I had to spend hours on the phone, on hold, for several days in order to get a packaged with my own name and my own address to be delivered is absurd.

Extremely dissatisfied with the delivery service from UPS. I receive emails from UPS when my package is delivered. Our driver puts on the email that he left it at the front door, however we are home and there is no package left at any door. We live approximately 300 ft from the street which is also a very busy street. On 11/25/17 the package he said that he left at the front door was never found and we were home. UPS said that they will investigate but we haven't heard a thing. Last evening another email came through at 8:15 and said 3 packages were left at the front door.
Again, we were home so we looked at all entrances and there were no packages. My husband decided to drive down to the street and all the packages were crushed into our mailbox! This also happened a couple of months ago and I was told by UPS that they are not supposed to use the US post box and they would speak to the driver. Why order items that are delivered by UPS if they are really not going to deliver to our door? They really need to train their drivers or fire them!

I am usually the patient type, but the constant ** ups are becoming truly spectacular. For starters, how in the flying ** do you manage to deliver a big box with a baby stroller in it to the wrong address? How do you walk into a building with the number already on it, sit a package in front of an apartment and it turns out to not be the right apartment nor the right building? How do you manage to screw up a "self appointed" delivery to one of the lockers, and it turns out that after said drop off, the package was not dropped off. So not only does one get the "delivered" email, but also the "not delivered" one a few minutes later, causing a cluster** of confusion that the customer service reps can not answer for. One would assume that if the drivers are tired, actually walking and moving around delivering packages should not be where they drop the ball. We may need to reconsider our USPS, and not this privatized for profit trash that does not work on weekends.

I was shipping 17 boxes to Sedona Az from Phila. I was continually misinformed every step of the way. I opted to take standard 100$ insurance per box. I did not have UPS pack boxes. As I did not purchase additional insurance or declare value of individual items I was only entitle to standard 100$ per box. I was told that insurance is automatic. I asked directly whether I was entitled to standard 100$ no matter who packed boxes and person assisting said, "Yes that is correct." Boxes packed by 5 star professional movers.
The boxes arrived in terrible condition with each box containing numerous destroyed items. When I filed the claim I was told to take pics of damaged goods. I had extensive proof of damaged goods. I followed instructions. At NO TIME was I told to save original shipping boxes. UPS called and said they needed to inspect boxes- I could not provide original packaging. I was never told I had to - so boxes were discarded. NO one when I filed claim told me to save original boxes. I was then told I could not be reimbursed because of not having original shipping material. UPS store points finger at UPS. UPS points finger at store. This is a well-orchestrated game of finger pointing with the consumer losing. I was mislead and mishandled every step of the way. Avoid this store. YOU will never get a straight answer.

UPS has a history of frequent deliveries to the wrong location, including this past week. The correct location is clearly marked at the street and noted on the package label (the address). In addition, at the location where UPS dumps packages, a sign is posted prohibiting the dumping of packages there in two languages and accompanied by a very simple diagram directing them where to go. The property is in a very easy-to-find location. Some drivers deliver correctly, but others do not.
Apparently, at least some drivers do not read. They also toss packages over a gate or wall. A long time ago, I tried without success for almost two years to get UPS to fix this problem. I am giving the online retailer from whom we order heavily one more shot and so far, they are failing and another package reportedly "delivered" is not here.
UPS will not go get the wrongly-delivered package and deliver to me. I have stopped ordering from the online retailer and notified them of the problems. I am so fed up this time around that if the retailer doesn't fix this, I am giving up online ordering unless a different and reliable carrier can be guaranteed. It appears UPS does not care. If they had to go back and pick up the wrong deliveries and properly deliver them in the same day, I think they could improve. If there is no accountability for wrong deliveries, how they improve?

I was informed by UPS that I would receive a package on Saturday Nov. 25th by end of day. In my UPS My Choice App, it informed me also that the package would be delivered by the end of the day on Nov 25th. After waiting all day for the package, and changing my plans to be home, at 9pm I called customer service to find out what was happening. I was told that the package is on its way and would be delivered that day, even though it's after hours on a Saturday night.
At midnight I called back to announce that the package had not been delivered on Saturday, as promised. I was then told that the package was never even on the truck to be delivered and it would therefore be delivered on Monday Nov 27th. Why UPS informed me in writing by e-mail and via its app that it would come on Saturday Nov 25 "by end of day" if the package was never placed on the truck? Why did the UPS representative tell me at 9 pm that it was still on its way if it was not even on the truck? Why does UPS FAQ on its website say that the tracking information that a customer receives is accurate if in fact it's not? The tracking system had no idea where my package was, as it showed it in transit to be delivered "on time" for Saturday Nov 25th. During the midnight call I was told by a supervisor that they'd arrange for morning delivery on Monday Nov 27th. I asked for a specific time so I'm not wasting another day waiting.
Today Monday Nov 27th, I receive a message from UPS that it would be delivered between 1:30 and 5:30 pm. Again I'm wasting my time waiting for the package. UPS has done absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. I've lost hours in calls, e-mails, and messages with UPS. I feel that UPS has breached the contract to deliver the package as promised, misrepresented, and perhaps fraudulently misrepresented, when the package would be delivered. It has completely failed, yet all it can say is "We understand" and "We apologize" without taking any action whatsoever to minimize my damages. UPS should be held accountable when they tell a customer a package would be delivered on Saturday and then fail to do so after the customer waited all day for the package!

Yesterday at 7:45 pm (give or take ten minutes) the driver finished all his deliveries belonging to the neighborhood directly across from my house, decided to park his truck put on the hazards & print me out a “sorry we missed you” thing and stick it to my mailbox rather than actually do his job and deliver the package. I have a very long driveway, but I saw this all from my front window, we also have motion sensors in our driveway that go off when anyone comes to our house, nothing went off.
So this lazy jack-leg couldn’t be bothered to deliver the package, so I made a complaint with the manager and hopefully he’ll get a mark in his file. This company is a joke. This is not the first experience like this I’ve had with them and since it’s obviously a pattern, it’s bound to not be the last. I’d give zero stars if I could, they seriously need to come up with a way to compensate the customers that they screw over - maybe then they’ll actually give a crap about the deliveries they botch.

Maria who placed me on hold and never returned. I called back again and op. Maria told me she was unsure if where my merchandise was located but told me she can give me a number to call and find out. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she stated none was available. I called the customer service number and spoke to op. Ray and then op. Daniel and then op. Deva and even supervisor Etzil and I still have not received my package. The supervisor asked me if I couldn't pick up my package instead of addressing the incorrect information that was written in the system by op. Maria. I asked for this to be investigated and for op. Maria to be properly trained.
I was given a reference number and told I will receive my package by 11-24-17. It is now 11-24-17. I called and spoke to op. Jennifer from the Lynhurst, NJ office who told me to pick up my package in Secaucus, NJ and whom placed me on hold for 10 mins when I asked to speak to a supervisor and never returned to the phone leaving me to call again. Now I speak to op. Derrick whom when I asked to speak to a supervisor told me they were ALL out of the office. Op. Derrick took my name and contact number and said he would forward it to a supervisor. When I asked if I should expect a call tonight he said he was unsure if they would be back. Now I call customer service again and spoke to op. Jessica who transferred me to supervisor Chuck who also asked me to pick up my package and said he would contact the main office to contact me.
I asked to speak to his supervisor, manager Lex who said I wasn't going to get my package until Monday due to not having anyone working that route. Lex also stated that my package was in Saddle Brook, NJ but they were closed. So it seems like no one at UPS knows what they are doing and where my package is. I have been on the phone with them for more than 1 hour and spent numerous days attempting to get my package received and till date nothing. Ship with FedEx or anyone else before you ship with UPS. They are obviously unprofessional and lack customer service. I have lost clientele due to their incompetence to deliver a package.

Pay for 3 day shipping. Item is in Washington state, destination is Southern California. That’s 2 states away. (In case you work for UPS and don’t know where anything is!) Tuesday item starts shipping process. Wednesday morning package is in Oregon, one state away. 4 hours later, package is in... KENTUCKY??? UPS says package is in “transit” and will arrive on time on Monday! And Kentucky is where they port everything, so if I send a package down the street, it will have to go to Kentucky first! Yeah! So not efficient, and that’s what the tech on the phone called it, “efficient”!!! Also UPS uses other businesses, as pick up places. If you weren’t home they will leave the package at a nearby business where you can pick it up. They never leave door tags, probably since it has info on it and if they wouldn’t leave the package in my ghetto neighborhood, why would they leave the door tag? Realized package never came after some time.
Called UPS. They could not locate the package. Said it was lost. Hour later, it’s found at a nearby pizza/tamale factory. Yes, I typed that right. So I go to pick up my item. Pizza tamale place employee asks for my ID. What? He can’t even speak English? I’m supposed to show my identity to him and trust in him? Haha! Showed him anyway, he wouldn’t accept my California driver’s license! Great state to live in by the way (not)! So I call UPS from the parking lot 5 different times! I told them to tell him to give me MY BELONGINGS, because they did not belong to the pizza/tamale place or him! Nope! I had to have the package sent to the pick up facility down by the Mexican border, that requires a toll road for $3.50 each way! To make my UPS experience wayyyy better, after finally driving way out of my way, after a 9 hour work day too, the original package had clearly been opened and re-taped shut. Awesome!
So that’s why the pizza/tamale guy wouldn’t give me MY package! Because he opened it! But when he discovered car parts for a 99 Mitsubishi, he apparently didn’t want them! Oh thanks UPS! Thanks for making me appreciate common sense and not having to deal with you. UPS’ existence is just to make us appreciate FedEx and USPS much more.

Just got a call from a company that I ordered medical supplies, telling me that the package was returned marked address not correct. This is about the 25th time this has happened when anything is shipped to us using UPS. I have lived at this address since 1978 and have been receiving packages by UPS for about 10+ yrs. I think that some of their drivers are just plain lazy as my address can be found by using Google. And I have a mailbox on the road plainly marked, plus my husband painted the number on the concrete drive at the road. Now I get to pay a second shipping charge due to their sorry drivers.
I would love to know why most of their drivers can find our house. Out of 5 deliveries a month, we usually get 3-4 of them with no problem. And it is always worse during the holidays, which is most likely when they hire new drivers. The supplier tells me they will try to ship again, but if it is returned, I will have to drive about 40mi to their office to get these medical supplies. I truly hate UPS and their shoddy service.

Really bad experiences with UPS. Ordered some gifts for my mom two weeks ago, and felt so excited! UPS really ruined it. First package was delivered to a place only UPS knew. I was at home at the time it was delivered, but the truck never showed. I called the UPS the second day and that case is still under investigation currently.
I called the store. They re-shipped a new package to me. This time, I paid extra money to make sure I could get the package on time -- UPS 3 day select. The package was supposed to arrive on Nov. 16. I waited the whole day at home so I could sign for the package. But no luck, the package got stuck in Ontario which I got notified on Nov 17. Those guys knew it already on Nov. 16. Could not they notify me so I do not need to waste time waiting for them the whole day? It was stuck in Ontario for two days, where is only 2-3 hours away from San Diego. The package did arrive San Diego on Nov. 18, but I could not get it, as it is Saturday, they do not work on Saturday.
I called UPS many times since Nov. 17, asking for help. Only answer is no. I told them I can go to pick up the package, no matter how far it is. Same answer - no, they cannot help. The earliest day I could get it is Nov 20. I submitted a complain on UPS website, and they returned an email to me. In the email, what looks like is the inconvenience they caused is inconvenience to me, not to them. The package is rescheduled to deliver on Nov. 20, then I should just wait, check online regularly, and wish nothing wrong this time. They just could not help. But my flight is Nov. 19. I rushed to local stores to pick gifts for my mom. For the gifts I chose carefully for my mom, maybe UPS can keep them as a gift -- thanks for their "great" service! Two packages, one lost, one delayed, what a "great" company!

I have had several horrible experiences with UPS and their delivery. The first incident my package arrived in my city and kept saying arrived then sent out and arrived for several days. Then it was finally out for delivery. I waited all day and never received my package. All of a sudden my tracking says "A required security check has delayed delivery." How does this happen after it was already on a truck out for delivery. I don't get an update for a couple days and I have spent multiple days calling and trying to figure out where my stuff is.
I finally get my order but I can tell that someone has cut the label off the original box and stuck it on a tiny envelope with one item. The worker has stolen 5 of the items I had ordered. When I called UPS they tried to claim my order was only 3 pounds so nothing was missing. A tiny item the size of a golf ball does not weigh 3 pounds. They refused to help and said I had to contact who I ordered from and it was their problem. The next incident I had two orders to be delivered. One box they delivered was completely crushed and damaged all the items in the box and my other order they said they delivered but I never received.
The most recent incident I had two orders coming. They were sent out from the same location with similar time stamps. However my order I didn't received kept bouncing all over the place. I received the small order that wasn't important. However the second one didn't show up. I canceled plans to stay home all day to make sure not to miss the delivery. It hits 7pm with no delivery. I continue to wait and check the status and what do you know I get the "A required security check has delayed delivery" message again. This is frustration and I will be furious if my package gets stolen again.

I said, "Ok. I am fine with that also but what about my shipping charge" then he said, "No we will a portion of that". I ordered a life-saving medical device that we needed urgently from Inogen. I paid for overnight delivery. UPS attempted delivery at 2:30pm on Friday but did not leave the package as they claimed it required a signature. I was not told I needed to be home for a signature. In fact, when the Inogen representative called me at 4pm, he told me that he had received confirmation that the package had been delivered. I mentioned to him I was not at home but would be in about an hour. He told me he would be gone but if I had any questions setting up the machine, there was a customer service number in the instruction packet. Not once did he suggest I needed to be there.
At 4:30pm when I got home and found no package, I called UPS to explain that I had paid for overnight delivery and need the package Friday, at the latest Saturday. The phone agent indicated that he had been able to contact the Los Angeles representative and that they had tracked the package and could deliver it Friday and would by calling be back within the hour. He repeated my phone number to me to be make sure he had the correct number. I rearranged my plans on Friday to be able to received the phone call and get home for the delivery. No one called me back.
When I called again to follow up, I was told it would not happen and I would get the package on Monday. They could not reach the facility where the package was because the facility was closed on Saturday. But when I first called the facility was open. Why didn't they get to a driver or another facility? UPS has Saturday deliveries. Why weren't they able to deliver on Saturday, or at least call me back as they had committed to? This is a life-saving device that was needed urgently!
When I called back several times, the customer service representatives including supervisors were rude and disrespectful. Yes, part of the blame goes to the manufacturer, if, in fact, they requested the signature and did not advise me. I called them and they could not help either, but UPS HAS the package and they HAVE Saturday deliveries. I paid a substantial amount of money to receive this overnight and it will arrive 3 days late. At best, this makes our life, which is already complicated by severe chronic health disabilities, more difficult. At worst, this could have endangered a life.

UPS: Stop hiring lazy people who drive past my apartment and don't even bother trying to deliver my packages. It's getting ridiculous. I pay for shipping then I have to go pick it up myself. It makes no sense. It's gotten to the point that I won't buy from certain companies anymore if they use UPS to deliver their packages. I realize I live in an apartment, but it's on a busy street, I know it's findable but it feels like I'm in some Bermuda Triangle. If this was the first or second time this happened, I'd shrug it off but it's 8 times out of 10 and I'm fed up. Laziness has to be the worst human trait.

In the last 3 years, not once has it happened the mail or parcel were delivered without contacting the customer service. The two instances I like to mention are: (1) Tracking # ** - The product was never delivered while the online status showed delivered. I contacted UPS customer care and they said they will check with local office. The local office a day later confirmed the product was damaged in transit and was returned to sender, which led to a complicated refund from Lenovo that took more than 2 months.
(2) Tracking # ** - The product undelivered because according to UPS "The receiver has moved. We're attempting to obtain a new delivery address for this receiver." which after I spoke to customer service rep mentioned they have left a message for the local office to contact. I doubt this will be delivered. I will never use UPS and I recommend anyone who wants to find a good service, try DHL, FedEx, USPS... anything but UPS. The customer care is careless, their delivery guys are incompetent.

I call requesting a refund, customer service first time I called said it was a weather delay in Louisville KY, so little do they know I have family/friend there. I then talk to them. They said weather was great. I look it up online it’s 71 degrees, so I then call back again to UPS y’all to the same guy. He says it’s now a plan problem. So then I ask to speak to manager, wait 6 minutes, manager comes on says, "No sir it was weather from Louisville KY- Tennessee" is why package didn’t get delivered and that they don’t work on Sundays...
So I look up the weather in Tennessee and routes weather was between 75-78 degrees. No snow... Moral of the story don’t lie to your customers. Little do they know I do logistics in the military/have all the certs etc. so let’s not lie, yes I have family and friends everywhere. That’s the military life and technology is awesome... Pisses me off when someone lies especially when I can find out the right info from people/Google weather channels etc!!! Very heated. It’s only 78 dollars but don’t be toxic to your customers!!!

On November 3rd I was supposed to be delivered a package by end of the day, when I got home I found a notice that UPS had tried to deliver my package at 1:16 in the afternoon. How is that end of day! After several attempts to talk to a human being at their customer service center I finally talked to an employee who told me my package would be delivered between 6 and 8 on Monday since they don’t work on Saturday. At 9:01 that same evening someone (female) from the UPS facility that has my package phoned me saying that they do work on Saturdays and so my package would be delivered then.
I stayed home all day, no delivery was made! I tried to call that facility no one answered, so now I have to call them on Monday to see what is going on. Obviously UPS doesn’t know that other people work, what are we supposed to do take a day off when they are going to do a delivery. Also I tried several times to set up a delivery time on their website. Couldn’t do it! I will never again have a package delivered by them. The only reason why I gave two stars is for the employee at their main customer service center who tried to help me.

I called UPS and the CSR told me the same thing their website did, the package was checked into the Milwaukee, WI facility at 6:40 am and delayed due to severe weather, which was inaccurate as the skies are clear in the entire state with no bad weather predicted. She told me to hang up and call back in a couple minutes for an update. This was concerning as it wasn’t anything I didn’t already know.
From there I reiterated that there wasn’t bad weather. She continued to tell me I would have to just wait. I need this package today but she had no information and wouldn’t probe further. I asked to speak to a supervisor. It took 15 minutes of hold time to get connected with a supervisor only to explain and be put on hold for another 15 minutes to be told they can’t reach their facility to confirm the package has shipped. I was on the phone for a total of 40 minutes with no help. They told me what I could look up on my phone in 2 minutes and already knew.

Don't know who's doing it. The grumpy guy who usually comes or someone else. If I wanted to walk, I'd go to the actual store. This is so frustrating for seniors and disabled. And they can't say they tried but no one was home! My dogs alert me loudly, if anyone knocks on my door. It's so irritating that I can't choose FedEx or someone else when I order. I guarantee I'd never use UPS! Tell your drivers to act friendly at least! Mine won't smile, won't speak, nada! Real pleasure…

In the last 2 months I have had to deal with UPS twice in very different situations and both times they have totally failed to deliver as expected. Additionally, in both situations of failed performance there is zero accountability. Customer is left with nothing to do but use FedEx which I intend to do when it is important and I am making the shipping decisions. In the first situation, I overnighted a key to my brother in law who was going to stay at my home while he was in town for business and I was out of town on vacation. In this situation, they "forgot" to put the package on the truck from their distribution center so it was not delivered in time for my brother in law's business trip. There was no recourse for the failed delivery - they could not redirect it to the location of the business trip and would not provide a refund.
In the second situation I was having a critical prescription delivered to my home that I needed to take for ongoing treatments on the day the package was scheduled to be delivered. I came home to see the package had not been delivered and checked the account and saw that the package was listed as undeliverable due to wrong address. This was funny because I receive mail to that address and I was currently standing at the address. I called the customer service line. The first person I spoke to said there was nothing they could do for me and would have to just try again. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she hung up on me.
The second person I spoke to looked at the system and realized the mistake was because the truck driver went to the wrong address (X Road vs. X Street) so the error was on her side. She said she would file a ticket and I would be called from the local facility within one hour with arrangements to receive the package tonight. In 50 minutes, I received a call from a "local facility" from San Francisco (I live in Boston). The person here told me that she was calling to schedule my delivery processing. This was wrong in two ways - as I was not in San Francisco and was looking to confirm a delivery. This person told me that she would redirect my call. I asked not to be hung up on and she told me that she looked into it and that she was given my number in error and that my original ticket was still open and I would be contacted shortly.
After 20 more minutes (well outside of the original hour) I called back to the customer service line. They told me they were still looking into my ticket. They put me on hold. During the second call, my husband took it upon himself to try to call the local facility directly which he says he was able to do before. He got someone in what he seemed to think was a call center with a heavy accent. This person said they did not have the ability to contact anyone at a facility directly, but could update the information in the system. He told this person to put in the system the delivery was "urgent".
Eventually someone picked up on my hold and said they spoke with my husband who had arranged delivery for tomorrow. This was not the case. They said they would check into it and that it was possible that I could pick it up. I did not think this is a satisfactory solution as I am not the one who made the delivery error on a critical package. The person, who I was told was a supervisor, put me on hold and then came back and told me that my husband had arranged it for tomorrow and there was absolutely nothing they could do. This is a blatant lie and misrepresentation. Then I cried because this was so stressful and I needed the medicine which I was now told I would not receive. I had been at this for 2 hours already.
Finally, I call the shipper (CVS) and explain to them that I would not be able to take the medicine as prescribed in advance of my procedure and that the fault was UPS and UPS was not amenable to doing anything to fix it. They tell me they will try to arrange with UPS because they should deliver it (duh) and put me on hold. Then miraculously UPS calls me while I am on hold and tells me they will deliver my package. At 9 PM a man in a UPS van delivered my package.
The only thing that rectified this was CVS's customer service. UPS made the situation unbearable and took no accountability for their mistake until it came from a corporate contact. The way I was treated was dehumanizing. I didn't get an acknowledgement they made a mistake. Everyone I spoke with at UPS did nothing to help me. It was just such a negative and reprehensible incident.

He seems to fill out his failed attempt slip before he even gets to the door and sometimes he doesn’t even put our notice on the right door. 9/10 I have been home. If he knocks at all it’s once, quietly. By the time I stand he’s already gone and the notice, on the first attempt mind you, states he’s bringing it to a pickup location. Is it really delivery if I ALWAYS have to go somewhere else to pick it up?? I get no say, I can’t request him to leave the package or anything.
Furthermore posted right on our door, states that the apartment complex accepts packages. We pay them to do this. He never goes there. Yet he has no problem making us wait an extra day to bring it across town. If I’m getting a package delivered by UPS it’s because Amazon chose them, not because I had a choice. This time only one of my 2 packages delivered 4 days late. When I asked the driver where the other package was I was instantly given an attitude and told it's "not my problem… I'm just the driver."
When I called I was put on hold for 45 mins then told I will now have to wait until Monday after waiting all week for only ONE of the packages what were both sent at the same time from the same location from the same person. 80% of the people I've dealt with on the phone are just as rude if not more rude than the delivery driver and they LOVE to place customers on hold for up to an hour at a time. Last time with my debit card as they no longer print them out in the branch. It was the same situation. They did not bring it to me, they took it to the same store as this time.
