I shop online frequently; and, oftentimes the packages shipped through UPS will be handed off to the local USPS. We are rural, so I usually don't expect mail to get here quickly. Our local USPS is great! We get our packages shipped quickly, not all beat up, delivered with a pleasant attitude and shipped at a decent price!

Most of our packages in and out are handled via UPS. The percentage of lost or broken packages is relatively low, perhaps 5% however when You have a company expecting a product overnight and it is either damaged or a no show...you have an unhappy customer. The kicker is UPS still invoices and expects payment for those packages. To get charges reversed apparently takes an act of God. Which brings me to another shady practice...charging for typos, or omissions....You had better have your address information verified and typing double checked if you use UPS. They charge for any minuscule correction. Use the word road instead of street? $16.50. Wrong zip code? $16.50. Etc.

In my experience it is typically less expensive than Fedex, so that's why I stick with UPS. In addition, I can drop off packages at my local STAPLES, so it is very conveniently located.

And then wait in line about 45 minutes to get the package. It is really inconvenient. They should find the way to deliver to my mailbox. Overall, my least preferred shipping company.

There have only been a few times over many years where my package has been damaged. If the packaging is damaged and it has caused damage to the item(s) inside then UPS will have you file a claim and you will get a refund for the cost of your item.

A few years back, a driver left all my packages down at my mailbox which I cannot see from where I live. I rec'd a text from a neighbor informing me there were packages at my mailbox, I immediately drove down to retrieve the packages. If my neighbor had not alerted me the packages would have laid by my mailbox for the next 24 hours. The other issue was I had rec'd a notice that UPS had delivered a package but I couldn't find it. I don't have any problems with porch piracy, I waited a few days, my package showed up several days later at my neighbors house who lives on the street behind me. Very bizarre incident.

I constantly receive damaged products that are damaged due to mis-handling. They have no regard for the shipment's condition, just deliver it however you can. I don't want it done right the second or third time, that is irrelevant, it cost me money every time there is a damaged product, as they say "time is money". I shipped a dozen large boxes for a cross country move. The local UPS store went out their way to ensure everything was packaged safely and securely and that I was receiving the optimal pricing. A few weeks later, I received a call from manager of the UPS store inquiring about the date the packages arrived. She had followed up on the shipment and determined the packages arrived a few days after the 'promised' date. She was calling to ask if I wanted her to file a claim, that there was no guarantee but she thought she might be able to get a portion of my cost refunded. I hadn’t paid any attention to the date the boxes arrived, and was amazed she had followed up. Since she had this follow up, I told her to go ahead and process the claim, not expecting anything one way or another. Less than two weeks later, I received a full refund for my entire shipment! This is indicative of the customer service at UPS store. Her customer service was above and beyond.

I took a custom glass blown gift to the UPS Store for packing and shipping while I was on vacation and unable to transport the item myself. UPS packaged the item and insured the item for what we agreed was a reasonable value given its size and the agents knowledge of the artist who made it. I was sure I left it in good hands. The item arrived and I immediately noticed the box was damaged and prayed the item was in one piece. It wasn't. I attempted to file a claim only to have it rejected since UPS policy states the shipper must file the claim, which meant the out of state UPS store who packaged it. I provided all the necessary pictures and documents and UPS made an onsite inspection and the claim was filed. It was rejected again without reason. I called the Shipper and asked what the problem was and she said she filed an appeal.

Weeks later it was again rejected without reason. The shipper said UPS wanted the receipt for the item, even though I told them it was a gift from the artist. Another appeal was filed, the claim was completed but no check ever sent. Another call to the shipper and they got a check for me that only included the amount of the packaging, shipping and insurance, but nothing for the items value. She filed yet another appeal, and now their reason for rejecting is that they insist I provide a legal appraisal justifying the value that it was insured for. Shouldn't they have asked for that before they sold me the insurance policy and before they broke the item? We're still fighting this battle over 6 months now. UPS has no intention of ever honoring this claim so I'm left with Small Claims court.

I am waiting around for the second day for my extremely time-sensitive delivery to arrive, bc, unbeknownst to me, a signature is required. He came yesterday while I was home, but did not bother to knock. I am missing work today, eyes trained on the door. As to tracking, the delivery is apparently bouncing back and forth between his van, the UPS ACCESS POINT (tm) and my house for 2 seconds. As to Customer Service there is actually no way to get help or an explanation of the arcane language they use in tracking info, bc there is no way to talk to a human being. They do not give a **.

The next time someone trashes The United States Postal Service (who have been delivering stuff in more or less friendly and competent fashion for 300 years, more if you count England), or government in general, especially a politician: please remember how bad USPS really is. With monopolies and "vertical integration" think of how bad and expensive they would be if they had no competition!!!!

With the first one, they sent an email saying my package will be delivered tomorrow, I checked the tracking info which showed that the package wasn't in the system. Next day no delivery, received package around 6pm the next day. The second package - received an email yesterday saying the package will be delivered today, woke up today to an email that it is expected tomorrow. Tracking says it hasn't moved in over 24 hours.. The third package is supposed to be delivered today also, I don't expect to have it any time soon.

UPS sucks. Their deliveries are unreliable, and if a delivery doesn't come through, the only update you get either through a little sticker or online tracking with your tracking number, but the sticker gives COMPLETELY DIFFERENT information from the online tracking service. When you call their Customer Service, it's basically Russian Roulette because most of them don't know what they're doing AND can't do much to help you. Every once in a while you run into the competent person and get your delivery against all the odds, in the face of all the obstacles that this highly inefficient and antiquated system provides; every other instance, your delivery is a goner. Supposed to arrive Thursday January 16th, tracking website said will be delivered by end of day on the morning of the 16th, so I stayed home all afternoon/evening waiting since it needs a signature for delivery. At some point they changed the status to "weather delay"....no notice, via email, text, phone call.

Fine, Next morning, Friday, tracking status says by end of day, again stayed home to try to receive, called them at 9:00 Mountain time, was told that yup, shows by end of day, could be up to 11:59 pm. Stayed up late even though I had to get up at 5:00 am. No delivery. Worked all day, got home. Tracking now says "in transit", talked to another guy with an obvious call center accent who continually interrupted me, talked over me etc and told me that it had arrived "late" in Tucson so now wouldn't arrive at my house until Monday. I pointed out that the tracking site shows it got scanned into the Tucson facility over 40 hours previous and that the guy the night before told me it was on its way to my house. Useless, wasted my breath. I've used UPS for decades, never, ever again if I have any say in the matter, even if I have to buy a different product.

Updated on 01/15/2020: UPS stands for Useless Parcel Service. Day after day after day they can’t deliver my parcel, they are afraid of a little snow on the road and won’t come to my house (yet Fedex and Canada Post had no trouble). I tried redirecting my parcel to to a delivery store because we are 7 working days past when it was supposed to be delivered. They can’t find it, they have no idea where it is, when it will arrive or who has it. I'm beyond furious at this useless joke of a company. If you live in Canada like I do, forgo the free shipping offered by companies and pay the $20 to get Canada post to deliver it. UPS is the most useless joke going.

Original Review: What a worthless, useless company. UPS is a pathetic joke. They keep delaying my delivery because it snowed. I had FedEx bring me a package to my house today and then at the end of the second day in a row UPS flips me off with a “severe weather delay unknown when package will arrive now”. UPS is garbage. I have had 2 items shipped to me via UPS recently and both were a disaster. Neither had the correct shipping numbers entered in the UPS system so the items I was tracking never delivered but got returned to the sender. On the second parcel, a replacement was sent by the sender to the nearest UPS store. Store was unable to verify the shipment arrived but after a lot of persistence by me, the parcel was found. Then the store charged me a ‘pick up.’ Fee. According to UPS customer service, UPS stores are independently owned and can charge whatever they like once a parcel reaches their store. There is nothing on the UPS website to state that UPS stores are independently owned and that they can do this.

UPS refused to reimburse me for the fee and told me that I had to call customer service if I wanted a parcel sent to a store to check on what extra fees I would be charged. The lack of service at the store (Brooksbank Ave, North Vancouver) and with UPS customer service was appalling. I use FedEx, Purolator and Canada Post often and have never had any problems and not use UPS again.

I packaged it with the utmost care, going overboard with packing b/c of how special the item was. When I went to UPS, I was asked "if I'd like to purchase insurance in case the item is damaged in transit". I wasn't given any sort of further clarification that they can deny the insurance claim if they deem the item wasn't packaged properly. I paid for the insurance.

When the package arrived (over a week later), there's a large dent on the corner of the box that is a clear indication the package was dropped. Sure enough, when I opened the box the item was damaged. After filing a claim with UPS, and they finally got around to contacting me (another week later), they denied the claim. They accepted zero responsibility for damaging the package and said they are denying b/c I didn't package properly. I sent in photos showing how much packaging was involved and the dent in the box. They never responded. I followed up and they said they reviewed and are still denying. The idea that the result was in no way their fault is insulting. But, most of all, the lack of communication was pathetic. Stay away! They are incompetent.

UPS expects that you can skip everything and sit around to wait on their schedule. I had a package being delivered that requires a signature. The UPS tracker said it would be delivered on Saturday 1/4/2020 before the end of the day. I had to take off work to wait. It never came. The UPS tracker continued to say it would be delivered Saturday until close to 10pm, then it said unable to provide a delivery time. On Sunday night, it changed to a delivery on the next day, Monday. Since I had already taken off work on Saturday, I could not take off the rest of the week. I tried to change delivery to the following Saturday 1/11/2020. They said they could but I must pay a $5 fee. I emailed customer service to complain and get the fee waived since it was their error that caused the problem. I told them I could not be home all day waiting until then.

Their response came Monday night, after the first delivery attempt had been made. The response was in VERY broken English and basically said they did not know what fee I was talking about, it would be rescheduled the next day for free. I re-explained that a Tuesday delivery would not help, and I need a Saturday delivery. I was told they don't do deliveries on Saturday. I asked why their tracker had said it was going to be delivered the prior Saturday and was told "According to our system it showed delivery on Saturday but it not guarantees delivery in that day. We always offer to the customer just change the delivery date Monday to Friday."

I checked, out of curiosity, and the website said I still had to pay the fee to change the delivery date to Thursday, which I think contradicts what she said. The only other option I was given was that they could hold it at their distribution center, which is across town and not open on weekends. That was no help. In the end, I was forced to have to pay the $5 fee or lose the $150 I had paid for the package. In addition they wanted an additional $8 fee to narrow the delivery window down to a 2 hour period so that I could at least salvage some of the day. They held my package for ransom. Customer service was no help whatsoever. They refused to accept any responsibility or waive the fee despite the fact their system caused the problem. UPS is greedy and corrupt. I would have rated them no stars except this system would not let me.

They said they tried to deliver it but that I wasn't there.

The UPS Store 43 Town and Country Dr Ste 119, Fredericksburg, VA 22405. While trying to ship Christmas gifts from our local UPS store it was suggested by them to use the USPS for a cheaper rate as it would cost over $200 dollars per package to ship to Spain through UPS. What we thought was a convenience of shipping USPS packages from their location turned out to be a mistake. She declared everything that was in the package and the clerk entered it into the system printed out the declarations and processed the packages for shipping. She openly declared perfume in one box and cologne in the other. At no time did the clerk indicate that there were restrictions on shipping colognes or perfumes through the USPS or UPS due to the alcohol contained within the product. Both boxes were returned to us by the USPS due to the alcohol in perfume and cologne.

When my wife returned to the UPS store for a refund, she was told by the supervisor that she would need to go to the USPS office as the charge and payment was through them not UPS. When she went to the USPS and after much deliberation, was finally told that the refund would have to come from the UPS store as that was where the payment was made. She then drove back to the UPS where and was told that that was the chance you take when shipping an item and that they were not responsible and would not refund the money.

The complaint is this: Lack of training. The clerk who originally processed the packages did not know to look up the items to ensure that they could be shipped. The supervisor who assisted the clerk that day also never indicated that there would be any issue in shipping the cologne and perfume. In a simple search after the fact we found that “There is absolutely no alcohol allowed for any USPS shipment, domestically or internationally.” Does this mean that you can ship alcohol through UPS? Not so fast, that same search resulted in finding that there are very strict regulations governing the shipment of alcohol via UPS.

“UPS does allow the shipment of alcohol with a few caveats.”
    • You must have an account number with UPS.
    • You must come to an alcohol shipping agreement with UPS (given on a per-contract basis).
    • You must have a license to ship alcohol according to federal and state laws.
    • You must abide by the alcohol regulations of the origin state AND the destination state. (UPS will only ship alcohol to-and-from certain states because of this)
    • You must use proper packaging:
o Inner packaging of EPS foam, folded corrugated tray, or molded fiber tray.
o Each packaging component must secure the bottle to the center of the container, away from the side walls of the container.
    o Container must be sturdy.
    • Clearly label the package according to UPS and origin/destination state guidelines.
    • Document the shipment as alcoholic (this is easy to do on EasyPost).

    • Require an adult signature at delivery. It cannot be dropped off or delivered to anyone under the age of 21.

So, if I could find this out in mere seconds why could the clerk or supervisor not take the time to look this up for the customer. This is failure to support the customers’ needs.

Supervisor professionalism and conduct. The supervisor working the day of the return was dismissive and unconcerned of their oversight. Sending a customer to another business that the organization has joined a partnership with shows a lack of loyalty to the customer base and integrity to the ownership of their wrongdoing. The dismissive and cowardly attitude of the supervisor is appalling. The supervisor clearly did not want to deal with my wife and would send the clerk out to talk with her vice handling the situation himself.

It is the duty of a supervisor to handle a complaint of this nature. Not behind the curtain to allow a clerk with no decision-making capability to try and explain why they would not provide a refund. To tell a customer they take a risk when shipping a package is unacceptable. There is no risk if the supervisor has properly trained their employees and know how to identify restricted items. This is a failure to lead by example and be accountable for your decisions.

Corporate responsibility. UPS needs to step up the training of personnel that are receiving packages for shipment. It is their responsibility to ensure that the clerks and supervisors know how to locate the restrictions of items. We as consumers rely on the “experts” to properly identify restricted items. I find it hard to believe that a company as large as UPS is not capable or is not able to provide the requisite guidance that is needed to operate a successful store. Most customers would not think of perfume or cologne as alcohol, most people tend to think of that being associate to drinking spirits, wine or beer. That is why we rely on the business to provide the proper guidance. This is failure.

The tracking will show out for delivery, we wait all day and the driver never shows, but it shows on the tracking that an attempt was made. If I have a choice I would never use them, just go to the store or use post office if possible.

Piss Poor Performance. Again (a different tracking number) today (12/31/2019 at 2:42 PM EST) - no package. Second Day/Second Time (1st time this happened was yesterday Mon 12/30/2019 12:48PM EST). The UPS driver delivering packages in 19801 (downtown Wilmington DE) is NOT leaving their truck to deliver packages. LAZY. I had a note on the Lobby mailboxes instructing the UPS driver to come upstairs for me to sign for my package (per the previous day disappointment). I was home waiting for the UPS driver and second day, back-to-back, No package delivered to customer when the customer is home.

The UPS Driver is 'holding' the packages unnecessarily (***MAIL FRAUD***); then notes the deliver as 'Attempted' but they never followed through with the deliver by leaving their truck, walking up to the door with the package, getting a signature, then leaving the package with the customer. UPS again failed to do their job with this 2nd, different tracking number (1st time MON 12/30/2019 12:48PM EST // 2nd time 12/31/2019 at 2:42 PM EST). Folks are home to sign for packages, but the UPS Driver doesn't even bother to do their job to deliver the packages for the 19801 (downtown Wilmington DE) location. Packages just remain on the UPS truck. MAIL FRAUD.

My order/package was picked up by UPS on December 11th. THEN, UPS transferred it to UPS Mail Innovations and it wasn't received by them until December 17th. On December 18th, my package was sent to USPS. It did not arrive USPS until 12/27/19. As of today, 12/31/19 my package is "in transit"... I have the SAME issue with another package shipped from a different company.

Both packages should have EASILY arrived before Christmas with the advertised 3-5 day shipping from UPS. But the SHIPPER chose to use the cheaper route which is UPS Mail Innovations. BEWARE of THIS! UPS Mail Innovations is a combination of UPS and USPS! The USPS is completely incompetent and so is Mail Innovations. I NEVER buy from a company or person on eBay that uses USPS - ever. And now I will add UPS Mail Innovations to that list. Absolutely a horrible collaboration. ZERO stars!

I had taken the day off of work to be home to sign for this package. UPS decided that my package wasn't worth delivering on the date they promised so in turn just took an extremely expensive electronic device back to sit in their truck outside in temperatures hovering around zero potentially damaging the device as it sits in the freezing cold. There was a reason it was shipped next day air and not standard air service, and that was to avoid it being frozen in the wintertime.

Every single time an order of mine (or my household) I have an issue with my things not being delivered. When we call their Customer Service Dept. they are next to useless. Ever since I moved to Little Rock, a few years ago I have almost had to resort to in store shopping ONLY!!! Now, with my fiance & our teenage daughter going to school online, we can't always do that. We have lots of different things coming to the house almost daily. If anything gets shipped UPS, I go ahead and prepare for a headache and aggregation.

The last 3 days I, my son and fiance (he was only home today) have been home waiting on several deliveries. Yesterday (12/27) they claimed the driver attempted to deliver and no one was home, so he left 1 of those "Sorry we missed you" sticky notes. The only problem with that is; at the time he claims to have been at our apartment I was sweeping out the apartment and the front stoop. I can tell you I never saw a UPS truck or employee here.

Today (12/28) again driver claimed to have been here and again no one was home so he left another sticky note. Yet, again at the time he claims he was here, my fiance was walking across street to store and never saw a UPS truck or employee. So we called their customer service on both days and the agents were of no help. They could (or would) only promise the driver would be back out here the next business day. Their local hub called us back both days; yesterday the only thing the lady would say is that they would send it out again. Today, Mrs. ** from the same hub, actually took the time to talk to us and try to figure out what has been going on. She then said, "I know who the driver is and there is a supervisor on site. I'm taking these notes to them now and see what they can do to fix this." She was amazing!!! Anyone else I've had to deal with, a waste of fresh air.

I don't have any of these issues with FedEx or the postal service, who delivered 2 of the 4 packages that were to be here yesterday. Needless to say those are the only packages to make it here this week!!! I constantly have to have them take it to the closest store, 45 min away on public transportation (our only transportation). I absolutely despise this company and can only pray that they close down soon.

I’ve waited home now because I needed this package and I’ve been home waiting for 2 days so I call once again and get that good ole foreign company (what a joke) and now they say it’s gonna be Monday. Drivers have marked a package delivered when it was not, this week a delivery was marked "picked up" and my name entered as the one, and then the same day marked as "delayed". Drivers do not leave a sticker that they attempted a delivery, and ignore a sign to leave a package downstairs if we are not in. On another call to a supervisor on another delivery this week resulted in the supervisor telling me the packages were at the shipment station, but at the station 2 minutes later the counter person said the packages were on a truck out for delivery; when it was escalated on the phone to another supervisor because this would be a loss of business, that supervisor found the packages were in fact at the station and they were moved to an employees desk so they could be found when I returned to the station to pick up.

Numerous times we have been told one story, only to find it was not true. Due to the nature of our business we are in and out of the office, we do not have problems with other delivery services, only UPS as they are unwilling to "tag notice" the door or take the package downstairs to the suite we have designated on the sign at our door.

If you transpose your address and the address that you accidentally type in does not have an actual post office box or even a HOUSE for that matter, don't you worry, UPS will just deliver it to the "close enough" address next to the non existent address to which the package is addressed. Also, if you have a package that has to be signed for and they send you a text message telling you that the package will be delivered between 3 pm and 7 pm, you should probably start sitting outside waiting for it from about 11:30am.

The window is only an expected time and the UPS delivery driver WILL NOT knock on your door to inform you that they are there with your package, but you will have to be nice when going to the store to get the issue of the non delivered package, because if you are not very nice to the lady behind the counter, she will tell you that she will delay the reattempted delivery for said package. What happened to customer service? What happened to ACTUALLY KNOCKING on the door when a package requires a signature. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I SEEN SUCH CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE OR WORK ETHIC. It then gets stuck in Warwick, RI for 2 more days with no change. Finally speak to someone in Warwick 12/11/19 and they said they will get it out tomorrow and arrive in a day or two. So latest Friday 12/13/19. Call the 1800 line today because there has been no change to my tracking number.

The women tells me that it was delivered on Friday 12/13 at 11pm. Was about to head out but decided to call first. Needless to say, UPS in Cumberland says that they still don’t have it and the women provided me bad information because it’s still showing in transit. I am signed up for text to let me know and I was not notified that the package did not make it onto the truck. During the day it said it would be delivered by noon and then it changed to being delivered by end of day. I never received it. I called UPS and a person who could not speak English answer the phone and after a very difficult conversation I was informed absolutely no information, so I asked to speak to a manager in which I held on the line for an hour to get. That manager then created an escalation but informed me that nothing would be done until Monday.

My medication is supposed to stay within a certain temperature that cannot go below or above a certain number. And they informed me that their facility where the box was sitting is not temperature controlled. The local temperatures drop below freezing at night. So that obviously would expire the medication. Today is Monday and I am getting the same exact notifications that I would receive it by noon and then the message changed to not until this evening. I still do not have my medication and the day is almost over. And to make matters worse the company that shipped the medication is not being responsible to hold UPS accountable and resend my medication.

They want me to go get another prescription for my doctor which means they’re going to bill my insurance for another set of medication that I should not be billed for because UPS did not deliver the package or Maybe eventually delivers it but the medication has expired then. UPS has created a domino effect that is extremely negative and apparently has put Christmas presents in higher priority than a perishable package that clearly states on the outside that it is a priority shipment next day air, rush, perishable. UPS should be held accountable for this. Period. Especially if someone can die because they don’t receive their medication.

UPS only provides information for where packages “should be” - not for where they are; then they play the odds that it mostly goes well. Customer service reps can only read a screen that is not necessarily accurate. Not only have I been told this by an employee of UPS (my former company’s sales rep) but it is not difficult to prove, as displayed here by a recent scan:

Shipped with UPS Tracking ID: 1Z81.... Saturday, December 14 8:00 AM Out for delivery Chelmsford, MA US. Friday, December 13 8:58 PM Package has left the carrier facility Manchester, NH US. 8:41 PM Package arrived at a carrier facility Chelmsford, MA US. 6:52 PM Package arrived at a carrier facility Manchester, NH US. 4:58 PM Package has left the carrier facility Louisville, KY US. 10:47 AM Package arrived at a carrier facility Louisville, KY US. 9:34 AM Package arrived at a carrier facility Louisville, KY US. Thursday, December 12 6:42 PM Package arrived at a carrier facility Spartanburg, SC US. 6:00 PM Package has left the carrier facility Spartanburg, SC US. Package has shipped.

In the above scenario, the package left Chelmsford, MA and arrived in Manchester, NH in 17min. (Although this would take 45 min.) Then, for some unknown reason is shipped back to Chelmsford, MA the very next morning and is “out for delivery”. BUT, IT IS NOT OUT FOR DELIVERY, BECAUSE IT IS SATURDAY and the computer just says that. In actuality, it is “delayed for weather” (aka, they just don’t feel like making the trip) until sometime between “Sunday and Tuesday”. Per my update from Amazon.

Another package that was scheduled for Friday saw the same “weather delay” fate. There was no weather issue. “Prime” trucks delivered to my home well after 8pm that night. At what point will this company be held accountable? I am certain that in the day and age of people taking screen shots, there is plenty of evidence to back up the fallacies that UPS continues to publish as actual tracking updates. Any company can make a mistake. UPS publishes information that they do not verify to be true. That is unacceptable and they should be held to account.

It got to CA yesterday early AM, then got shipped between 3 CA locations, arriving at my local UPS delivery depot at 8:30 am. Now it won't get delivered until Monday. This is frozen food. UPS blames the weather; I blame false advertising and incompetence. Their guarantees mean NOTHING!

I have gotten three packages delivered to my house, and all three boxes were destroyed and inside products were damaged. I am very frustrated with the incompetency of the UPS company. A box should not look like someone beat it with a baseball bat for an hour. I am severely disappointed and will discontinue use of such a company in the future.

This is by far the worst UPS location in Palatine, IL and how they handle clients. My order was delayed for few days, then when I called I was told that my order was lost. I asked for a supervisor and was advised that my package is not lost and will be delivered next day... That never happened. I had to call ups again (4th time in one week, was on hold for more than 30 min each time) and was told my order is on the way back to the shipper and they could not explain what the problem was, even though my address and information is correct. It looks like people working there have no idea what they are doing. Horrible delivery service!!!

Had to use UPS to return items to Amazon. I had to pay for specific pick up times. They didn't show. Called and scheduled again. They didn't show. Now they won't come till next week. The customer service was horrible. Transferred from one person to another. On phone for an hour. Ended up taking boxes that weighed over 60 lbs each, to a local drop off. Now the fight to get my money refunded. They just kept promising a pick up that never happened. Will never use them again.

I have a package that has arrived at their distribution center 15 minutes from my house. Was supposed to be delivered Monday 12/9/19. They have now rescheduled delivery 4 times. It is now 12//13/19 and I still have no package. Spoke with customer service, it is basically non existent. They transfer you to India and these people at the call center fill your head with lies saying that the package will arrive today and it never does. Somehow I've seen 4 separate UPS drivers deliver packages to all my neighbors but somehow I can't get mine. I will never use UPS again. They are horrible and will avoid them at all costs. Please note their excuse has been weather. It's been sunny here everyday this week. What BS lies.

Didn’t try to help me whatsoever. My package should have been here today and it’s not but it still says it’s in transit. I’m beyond pissed because it’s a package with FOOD IN IT! I should not have to go completely out of my way to get a package. Unfortunately I have no control over if a company chooses to use UPS. I ordered 12 bottles of wine and because I am unable to be at home to sign for it, I had to have it delivered to a UPS warehouse FAR from my house. I received no delivery updates at any point. I finally reached out to them 2 days after it was supposed to be delivered. They said it was delivered to the warehouse (even though tracking shows in transit). I drove all the way there just to stand in a huge line with no movement. I finally left pissed off and still do not have my package.

Updated on 12/14/2019: 2nd time this week. I’m home, lights on, car in driveway. It’s raining outside. Ups delivered a package. Did not bother to ring doorbell. Left package in rain. I did not find the package till my guest open the door & found a wet package. Terrible service.

Original Review: I was home all day waiting for package to arrive. UPS sent & email saying package was delivered. Never received it. I called ups. They said it was left by my mail box which is @ bottom of driveway. They have always brought my package to the front door & rang the doorbell. Not this time. Missing package. What kind of people do they have working there???

I will never use them and I will always ask wherever I purchase something who they use to ship. If I can’t change from UPS I’ll find another place that won’t use them. Received email package delayed. No information on how long it will be delayed. Called 20 min to get through all the prompts horrible then disconnected on their end. Went through prompts again. 15 min ported over on phone and sorry due to heavy call volume. Called again. 18 min ported over to Philippines, ask to transfer to U.S., transferred to Spanish then transferred back to Philippines. Was told, "Due to weather there is a delay on your package". There is no weather issues.

The package is at UPS 3 miles away. All day sunny and clear. Then I ask how long is delay for. They say, "We don’t know But wait for it. If you sign up we can give you alerts". Lol. I say yes but I shouldn’t have to sign up to find out how long is the delay for. Wait for it ups rep states, "It not up to ups to inform you of delivery". So asked to speak to supervisor who states she is wrong and though listed under weather delay it is a system issue for invoicing packages.

This whole issue could have been diverted by just sending email stating the duration of delay 1 day 2 days instead of an empty email statement incomplete this whole situation to let my customer know took 2 hrs. The virtual assistant is useless. With no feedback page and a somewhat lengthy hard to find email us page. Please note when using their damage claim section it is extremely non user friendly, very noncustomer environment and length process.

UPS loses track of packages and they sit for days in the final location before delivery. They also ship packages back and forth between cities multiple times. They told me that is because packages are bundled. Two day air often takes up to 5 days for no reason.

I ordered a package and it was supposed to be on two day air. Since I was not going to be home on Dec 4 I made a request for my package to be delivered at a UPS store. I made the change early in the morning before the package was sent out on delivery. I figured that if it would be delayed it would be a day or maximum of two. Well turns out that it is now Dec 11 and my package has yet to arrive. I called on Friday and asked where my package was and if there was an update. The lady I spoke to told me what facility my package was in and said that if I wanted to I could go pick up there.

I went only to waste my time because when I arrived they told me they were not sure where my package was. And the guy tells me that maybe it was already trying to be delivered. Later I get a text saying that my package will be delivered on Friday by the end of the day. So even though it has been “out for delivery” and loaded on the UPS truck since Friday which was Dec 7. According to the UPS app I have not received anything. On Monday and today (Dec. 11) once again I called UPS and they simply hung up the phone before contacting me to someone or simply say that they do not know what is happening.

BEWARE. IF you choose the UPS option to get a shipment in a hurry from the US to Canada you will get a price. When the package lands in Canada you will get hit with almost $18 in "Brokerage Charges" for them clearing the package. This charge is known before you get the quote so why is it not disclosed. Call to complain and you'll be told "It's not our fault. You got a quote from the store. You can self clear your package if you want to avoid this charge." Problem is you can't select any option to self clear if you are purchasing something so they've already done it and hit you with this charge so you can do nothing about it. (It's simple to self clear by the way.) Will never use them again.

UPS used to be the gold standard for shipping packages. Sadly, it has taken a freefall and is now a joke. Day after day, the tracking info shows that the package is "out for delivery" before the end of the day. And day after day, it goes back and is scanned again at the "carrier facility". Wish I had a choice of delivery services when I purchase things; I know that I will never use UPS to ship anything.

I had two UPS 2 day Air and one UPS overnight packages that were scheduled for delivery on 12/9/19. None were delivered even though they were shown to be on the truck out for delivery, and the truck was within blocks of the delivery location on 12/9/19. Delivery was rescheduled for, 12/10/19. The packages were shown to be on the truck out for delivery, and we tracked the truck to at least with a block of the delivery location. No delivery was made on 12/10/19. Again these are overnight and 2-day Air packages that were to be delivered on 12/9/19.

I called the UPS 800 twice on 12/10/19- a bit after 7 pm and again about 75 minutes later. The hold times were 20+ and 35+ minutes, respectively. On the first cal I was told the packages were still be delivered today. On the second They weren’t sure. I asked for a supervisor on both calls. On the first call the rep refused to let me talk to a supervisor. After insisting, she said I would need to wait on hold for an hour to talk to a supervisor. On the second call, the rep said a supervisor would call me with 90 minutes. It is now more than 8 hours since that call, and I’m still waiting for the supervisor to call.

I ordered a package through Amazon Prime that was supposed to be delivered from UPS SEVEN DAYS AGO, as per Amazon Prime membership. Every day I’ve tracked my package it says “out for delivery” and that I will receive it today, yet it never comes. I’ve talked to UPS on the phone twice during this process. Both times they’ve told me it’s out for delivery and I’ll still receive it that day. Lies. All they’re doing is trying to placate; not fix the problem. Tonight I was told on the phone that all I can do is keep tracking it; that there is nothing they can do on their end to red flag it to notify delivery personnel that it is SEVEN days late already and needs to be prioritized. Horrible communication, horrible internal processes, and clearly horrible management and leadership.

Yestersday my driveway was redone. New asphalt. Tape/rope across the driveway. The UPS truck pulled in so the driver didn't have as far to walk and broke through tape. When he went to leave, he turned his wheel and did damage to my new driveway. No note left, but captured by neighbor's camera. This company and all its employees have no regard for their customers. Will pay extra for shorter delivery time to ensure it goes some other carrier than UPS.
