Over the holidays several delivery companies were used. UPS is our favorite service. The deliveries are on time and our delivery person is always polite and very professional. Packages are left where they are safe and can be found by us when we return home if not home at the time of delivery. My favorite delivery company for sure!

UPS delivery person waits patiently while you get a package they anticipated picking up. Nice. I get a lot of packages and UPS will ring the doorbell before they leave to alert me. If they're delivering something that needs a signature they all take extra care and not just leave the required notice around the door, they will knock and tell me they only have one more attempt. Packages arrived in good condition and not torn or battered.

Whenever anything is shipped to me via UPS, it arrives on time; it arrives in perfect condition and UPS always rings my doorbell and carries it right into the apartment building exactly to my door. They will not leave the package without physically seeing me and/or handing the package to me, whether I have to sign for it or not. They are so professional; unlike other shipping companies I have had to deal with.

I had a parcel shipped from Pretoria, South Africa to Philadelphia, USA. I had no choice in the courier service, as the South African Tertiary Institution uses UPS. The UPS tracking information was never in real-time - it was always hours late (even up to 24 hours late). The scans were scant - one scan per country! (Was the scan an "incoming" or "outgoing" country scan?) The initial delivery date changed throughout the days - first one date, then another, then back to the original date, then finally no date! I even signed up for cell phone updates - except for the initial cell phone message, I never received another one.
The website interface is "clumsy" (as opposed to "intuitive") - I have to second guess where I might find more information, or where I might be able to save my tracking number, so that I may check in regularly without having to enter the tracking number every time! I used another International Courier Company (FedEx) and while I had to pay more for this, the comparison is moot! I would never willing use UPS as a(n International) Courier Service. Pay more, for better service, elsewhere!

The manufacturer provide shipping labels to pay for the return/forward of recycled products. I use UPS to return ship a lot of these products and their pickup locations do not hesitate to accept the package. Also, I’ve been able flag down a UPS truck driver and pass the package to the driver. If it’s not USPS then it’s UPS. Both work for me.

UPS is the worst of the worst, drivers are too lazy to find my correct address so they dump the packages at a UPS pick up point which has been very inconvenient. One particular package was so late getting to another pickup point that by the time I finally received it, the package was battered and the contents were dented.

My recent experience with UPS facility within a Staples was not productive. The problem: I mentioned that I was shipping cookies in a box. UPS refused me delivery saying no baked goods even in a box. I mailed via US post office instead. The USPS was glad for the business and had a sense of humor about it. I think she is still laughing about the prospect that a piece of cake could be considered a hazard. The cake could be loaded and might explode sending icing willy nilly throughout our neighborhood. And it might implant itself in our skin. Anyway UPS gave us a good laugh. I am going with USPS from now on.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Unbelievable! Lack of communication is an understatement. Unfortunately I moved and was unable to receive my shipment. I called in way beyond the shipping date, my bad, and my package was sent to the abandonment department, understandable. Sooo... UPS tells me I need to have the sender contact them to approve the package release, and so the sender calls UPS. Sender calls me to say I need to pay UPS the brokerage fee first, no problem. I call UPS to pay the fee. UPS won't accept payment until the package release is cleared by the sender {this must be a joke, get it together UPS}! Sender makes a call to UPS AGAIN and send me a follow up email to confirm.
I call back UPS and go though the same hampster wheel again. This time I refuse to have the sender contact them yet again, in shame that UPS Canada is so disorganized. So I get put on hold, UPS comes back to say my package has been discarded, other than that I would have, at that point, been able to pay the Fee and pick up the package. At this point, I'm so frustrated, I'm almost relieved the package isn't there and I can move on... 3 hours later I get a message on my machine that a mistake has been made and my package is there!
Well, I call back and surprise! They try to tell me the package is not there and the manager I demanded to speak to is too busy to take my call. I demand the Manager, I get the supervisor who also tells me the package is not there. I tell the supervisor to put me on hold, call the abandonment department and find out where the package is and when and where I can pick it up, and so he does! Then comes back and says my package is there and that the gentleman who called me was right, well yeah that is why I am calling! This actually happened and each call took 30 mins minimum! I'm amazed at how disorganized this company is!

UPS delivery hours are from 8am-8pm and for the last year or so, my packages are ALWAYS delivered between 9:30 and 10:00 at night. Often times the drivers will knock and then immediately put a note on the door that it will be delivered the next day and walk away. I know this, because I’m home when it happens. I’ve even had them leave a note on the door without even knocking, that said the package would be left at a destination to be picked up after the first attempt at delivery. I know this, because I was home when it happened. I dread when a package is sent to me via UPS because the service is so terrible and if I could pay an extra fee to have it delivered by an alternative delivery service, I would. I would never willingly give UPS my business if I had the choice.

My package was to be delivered and it wasnt. Luckily saw note on ground they attempted because it must have flown off the door. Went to drop off point and not there. Called 800 number and they said it's there now. Got an emailed from the purchaser and it said I requested it to be taken there and I hadn't. Called store again and not there. She called and said 2 drivers had been there and didn't have my package. I called 800 number again and she said it was someplace else. She's in as another country. Finally she set something up for it to be delivered. Later this rude girl called from a facility here and said a call was made to have it sent to store. I did not make that call. Now supposedly it's to be delivered tomorrow. I think I'll try to find another method of having my online orders delivered because this has been a very bad experience. I would give them no stars if I could. I guess I'll wait and see what tomorrow holds.

No problem for 2 years. And THEN they use a larger truck and cannot do a u-turn in driveway so they run down and circle around and go up the embankment to the driveway. This degrades the driveway. This is an extremely rural area. No problem backing up which they refuse to do. Pete **, Montrose, CO their supervisor possibly thought they should be able to back-up and proceed out the driveway. He took the complaint but has refused to talk to me!
Their solution is to put it in an un-official drop box over 1/4 mile away. I simply want what every other customer gets - Dropped at my doorway. This solution requires me to get in my truck, drive and then retrieve a box which I may not be able to pick up from the box or the package will not fit and is thrown on the ground. This is not a secure location but out in the open. Are all the boxes for this road going to be dumped in this box. I doubt people are going to be happy with that! In Alamosa - men win, woman are ignored!!!!

Completely ridiculous. I left work early, sat here for 5 hours waiting for a UPS truck that never arrived. Continually checking the status online, it said it was out for delivery. I decided to check one more time, and it said there was an 'Exception'. So I called UPS customer service. They notified me that the drivers now use a 'system' whereby if the address for an apartment complex has no apartment number the driver won't even go to the building. A little strange considering I live in a secure building, and every package I've ever received from UPS they leave in the hallway downstairs in an unsecured area. So even if there had been an apartment number listed they still would have left my packages in the hallway downstairs comma in an unsecured area. WTF?! WORST 'CUSTOMER SERVICE' EVER.

Last year, we signed up for UPS My Choice so that we could get notifications for packages coming, and leave delivery instructions. We had quite a few wedding gifts delivered via UPS from Macy's. The driver was excellent, leaving the packages exactly where we had asked, hidden from sight from the busy street. This is in the suburb area south of Dallas. Fast forward to this year, and I have now had 4 packages this year not deliver on time. The first one had been ordered with Amazon two day shipping and was time-sensitive, when I called and asked, they said the driver had a full load that day and hadn't been able to find the house (he was new). But online, it showed no one was there to receive the package... Even though it did not need a signature, and the instructions said to leave it on our porch.
Fast forward to the next day, the driver gets there at 8 pm to deliver it - FAR too late for us to use the items that had been needed for an event earlier that day. Last week, I had another Amazon package coming. Friday, it shows out for delivery, estimated window 10am-2pm. Great. We were home all day - again, this was time sensitive as well. Online, it finally showed at 6:49 pm that the delivery had been attempted but no one was home - this was untrue. There was someone home all day, the truck never came by that we could see, and no knock on the door at all. They would not attempt to deliver it again either! I called customer service on Saturday and was told my two options were to either pick it up from the Access Point, or to give them my credit card to pay for an "Address change" to have it delivered somewhere else!! I already pay Amazon for free 2 day shipping, they pay you so NO.
I picked it up Monday (once again, too late - I got my money back from Amazon though. This week is our baby shower - guess who Target picked as their shipper?? UPS was supposed to deliver two packages yesterday, and again, when I log in, I see my instructions for the driver - who again puts in the system at 8:29 pm that the receiver was not available for delivery - no truck seen, no knock on the door, NOTHING. These packages, and another set for Thursday HAVE to be here for our baby shower. This is truly unacceptable. I called customer service today, was assured they would contact the center to tell the driver to leave them on the porch. I get a call from the center while I'm on the phone with customer service - I immediately call back.
I sit there and wait with the phone ringing for 5 minutes - I ask for the gentleman, Bobby, who'd left the message. I was placed on hold again - was left waiting for 6+ minutes before someone picked up (I heard talking) and then hung up. The call disconnected. This happened twice more. I refused to be put on hold the last time. I was told to "hold on lady" while they got him. He told me he talked to the driver and told the driver to leave the package on the porch and that this has to be delivered today. Online, it still shows processing for delivery at the top, although in the detailed tracking it says it's on the truck... Great - except what about the rest of the week, how are you going to ensure this doesn't keep happening, since it has on 3 occasions with 4 packages now?
"I've done all I can, I will talk to the driver. Have a nice day, goodbye." So I decided to leave a review so others would see and know that this hub/driver does not care about getting packages delivered in a timely manner (when they're supposed to, according to their tracking) OR customer service, since they were nothing but rude to a rightfully upset customer. Oh, and by the way, the post office and FedEx have NO problems finding our house or delivering our packages on time, and I have never had a problem with either of them!

I’m writing to report that I have lost several hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise due to UPS’s delivery practices. In the past, if a person wasn’t home to receive a package, UPS would leave a notice instructing pickup at their one of their depot locations. Now, drivers simply leave the package at your doorstep. They won’t even attempt to ring your bell (I have been home on several occasions during a ‘delivery’). A brief Google search of this company’s delivery practices will reveal several methods of corruption to this system including theft of packages, and even drivers who actually fail to complete a delivery - while indicating a completed delivery in their system. I have been notifying my vendors that I will only do business with them if they can offer delivery by either FedEx or DHL. I done with UPS!

I moved to a new house =, same zipcode, about 1 mile away. 5 packages in 1 day to neighbor, who refused package said it was wrong address, said they delivered, I call UPS same night, they say they don't know where it is. It's on your truck and your delivery person lied about delivering it.
Delivery included $200 shoes, about $200 in houseware and other stuff. They delivered to the same neighbor again when she was not home, she finally contacted us saying she had our stuff. Multiple packages, wrong address, sent back, multiple complaints, nothing done by company. So now hold my packages at the UPS, sent package back to company without informing me they had package. We were UPS customers both personally and with multiple businesses over at least two decades and that is no longer the case. We cannot trust them to not destroy our packages and we no longer use them for anything. UPS has damaged many of our parcels over the years and has only claimed responsibility for one of them. One of these packages was actually driven over by a truck, the package arrived with a huge tire track across the flattened box. They did not pay for that one either. Countless phone calls to UPS with repeated promises to "call me back tomorrow with an update" reflects a broken system in a broken company that does not care about its customers or the packages they destroy. We have shifted all of our box freight to FedEx and USPS and have not had a single broken item thus far. It has also saved us quite a bit. I'd say about 20% modestly speaking.
We really enjoyed liked one of our UPS drivers from years past, he was a great guy who performed well on his route, so of course he was put on another route and we never saw him again. I have seen how packages are handled by the overworked, rushed UPS personnel who typically have no real incentive to take care of the packages and customers other than getting fired, and the tolerance there is tight on time and loose on damage. That equals lots of throwing, breaking and not giving a **.

I Shipped three (3) HEAVY packages in one shipment from The UPS Store in Charleston, W. Va, to a business in Gibsonia, PA, a distance of 250 miles. UPS delivered two of the 70lb+ packages and LOST the third. HOW do they lose a 71/b package that is part of a three (3) package shipment? Furthermore when dealing with them, it is almost impossible to talk to a human and when one does get a human on the phone, well the human is no more capable of making a decision than is a two year old. I myself had to open a "lost package" claim when my customer did not receive his full shipment. UPS promptly closed the claim, stating they couldn't contact me even though they had my contact telephone and email and I NEVER received either an email or a telephone call from them.
I had to RE-OPEN the lost claim process by giving them a list of automotive part numbers involved in the package which I am certain meant absolutely nothing to them since these were the individual components of an assembled cylinder head. Then I was told it would take another eight (8) business days for them to research the lost package claim. I cannot get reimbursed for my package nor can I get anyone at UPS to tell me when I will or how the claims process will proceed and complete. What was once a great company has now become a horrible company in my opinion. I will never ship with them again. It's the same ole same ole, too much success breeds too much fat and lazy.

I simply ordered ink from Office Depot for my business. It was suppose to be delivered 4/09/18. I got a slip on my door, no package. I called UPS. They told me I wasn't home to sign, which obviously a Monday in the middle of the day people usually work. They told me they would reship it to my address and it be delivered by 4/18/18. Which it didn't. So I stopped in to pick it up and they then tell me they shipped it back to Office Depot, I then called Office Depot about it and they were unaware of that. So they are reshipping me a new order. Hopefully not UPS! This has become a big hassle for simple ink cartridges. Just deliver me my product I ordered, simple as that.

Had to close a credit card issued by BofA due to fraud. Was told by BofA it would be delivered on a certain day, had a tracking number. Of course, never received my new card. This issue has been going on for 3 days now. Contacted UPS, was told it was refused by me, (never even saw the delivery person or signed anything) a lie by UPS. Of course yanked to the sender, BofA and then yanked back to UPS and back and forth. The YANK game, no one taking responsibility and therefore never receiving my new card. I am finding today, I can't obtain answers or resolutions for issues. It can take days to even connect with the right person, going from one department to another. UPS is just another example of how no one knows anything, and forget customer service people, they are USELESS.

First of all, I really do not like the fact that UPS is used by the businesses for my orders, since I never would use them. I have not had a good experience when UPS was the carrier. I have never had a problem with tracking with USPS or FEDEX when tracking; the packages were delivered promptly and always before 8:00 pm which I was told was considered as "by end of day" for UPS. My recent problem was that I had been checking the tracking status of a package on the supposedly delivery date and I had been at home all day. Well, I felt due to my unfavorable impression of UPS, I should call and pray that I could connect with an actual person to make inquiries concerning the package since it was getting close to 8:00 pm.
I called at 7:10 pm and at 7:47 pm because I was told earlier that the end of day would be 8:00 and at that time the tracking still said "Out For Delivery". A few minutes later after ending the call with the UPS agent, I look on the computer and the status read "Attempted Delivery" at 7:51 pm. Of course, I had been at home all day expecting the package and I know no one came. Anyway, the status was changed on the tracking status, there was not any type of notification that anyone had even attempted to deliver the package. Therefore, what is the point of having a tracking system if one can put anything into the computer. Never had that problem with USPS or FEDEX which is why I am always thankful when my packages are sent via these particular carriers.

I have had a number of deliveries lately, all using UPS, and everyone of those deliveries has had an issue. The last two were trying to get items delivered to their UPS Access Point, which is SUPPOSED to eliminate issues. The first time, they were apparently delivering my package and then POOF, the package was lost and it took almost 2 weeks when they finally found it. My latest is they had two failed delivery attempts at the Access Point. How can they fail at that?!? They lie about things, the drivers are lazy and uncaring, and if I had other choices, I'd never use UPS again. A company that was a leader has become the bottom of the barrel.

Called many times providing them with the tracking #, address and postal code only to find out today that they had the wrong postal code from the store (shipper). I have had several bad experiences with United Parcel Service. All of my deliveries have arrived late with damaged boxes. I am very dissatisfied that the company would not honor my request to receive a call from a driver delivering a package. The bell system is broken at my building and I call them notify them of this and ask for a courtesy call. The driver refused to call me and after several conversations with dispatch supervisors my problem was not corrected. One supervisor even lied saying that he called me when he had not. I was home at the time of delivery and because of their refusal to allow the driver to call me I did not receive my item. This is poor customer services and shows a lack of respect and value of my business. I will not be using UPS for any future deliveries.

Where do I start? As I write this UPS was to pick up a package today. I had to wait all day for them only to see them driving down the street. They posted a notice on my door but my bell never rang. I've asked them as of two years ago to leave packages in a certain area, I live in a high traffic area and packages can be stolen. So did they do as I asked? Yes. ONCE! After that they left electrical equipment out in the snow near the door I asked them to put it in. They constantly leave packages out where they could be stolen. Not even close to where I requested them to leave them. I had a driver deliver a package that wasn't mine. In fact it wasn't even in my area.
Today I tried to call customer service. I dealt with a rude automated recording. Yes it's rude. It told me to call back when I had my tracking # which I had just put into the phone. Then I had to call back after my only options were to pick up or drop package! Then I called back. Talked to someone who could care less what happened. The DRIVER is still in my area. They could ask him to come back. So now I have to rearrange my day for them so they can hopefully ring my doorbell and get the job done This is a crappy company and we should all avoid them until they actually care. ENOUGH!

When moving into our new home our first encounter was with a UPS Driver driving like he was at INDY-500. Him the driver cutting us off at a T intersection where when coming onto our road was in our lane cutting the turn too wide into our lane. This was on different scenarios catching them or him/same driver going around corners and fish tailing due to driving through "snow sand" left from town truck’s sanding roads. During winter the roads are dry and so is sand trucks cutting corners at a higher rate of speed than what is stated for roads. It's obvious! Then we had damage done 3 different times to our mailbox being backed into due to driver backing up and parking on our lawn to go across street to make deliveries instead of either pulling into recipient’s driveway or backing in.
Not only doing damage to private property but not even having courtesy to state did so but lie after another whom does not live at residents seen them do it at least one time out of 3/dbl. Tire tracks left at scene shortly after UPS truck leaving. Driver never informed office and stated never by mail box at any time. When called office after driver being told to stay off lawn & was private property driver mouthy state will park anywhere he feels like it and property where mail box was on not ours??
I told driver if caught on property I would have arrested for trespassing. Not doing business with my home no need to be on my property & would have truck impounded & found out local & state laws clearly state > Any accident/damage to private property which is done by any other person & or vehicle is considered a FELONY when the person that does it either physically & or with a motor vehicle leaves the scene of the accident with no notification to property owner or makes attempted to make contact to notify. Such of said accident is considered HIT & RUN. A FELONY also damage to private property a misdemeanor which can be raised to a felony if proven negligence on part of driver. Really why is tax paid by this household for it and why does it receive mail for this household. Called office 3 different occasions & filed with Corporate HQ/UPS.
Stated at branch office area supervisor does not believe any of statements made. Says they have eye on each driver all time. Can see each turn made & speed driving and location of each truck if drives forward or backs up & truck never been near mail box or parked illegally, note > #9. #22 Parked in middle of road "traffic going back & forth around truck". State law > Obstructing Traffic. The drivers break more laws on road than any other carrier.
We knew we were being harassed by the driver as would "drive past neighbor’s house" who was getting delivery, not pull into their driveway which could allow a Mack Truck to drive up & not stop to make delivery at the end of their driveway & made sure parked on our side of property/road across from the delivery house to harass & aggravate the situations from prior accidents & his mouthing off to us as he was inform of said complaints. Would go out of his way to squat down and try to look into house & wave to say, “Look I am here. What are you going to do about it.” When the area supervisor did nothing and basically called us liars he cut all service from my home and made lying statements to sellers who I purchase items from. I stated I would pick up item at branch facility almost an hour from home which was not true and items sent back with no notice to residence item was there. Just lies to sender of so called notices.
We still receive no packages from UPS AND WAY TREATED! Do not wish to a very unprofessional Co. in our locations but have read of similar situations elsewhere so don't feel like we are only ones. Our Post Master informed us of multiple complaints of these trucks in our area if same driver or multiple & stated nothing they can do as not affiliated with USPS but to contact Corporate & they pass buck back to the area manager who does nothing but lie, take driver's side and blacklist ones who report about!! Since we started taking photos to prove our statements & getting guard dogs the driver has used the neighbor's driveway. This was a driveway he the driver stated could not drive into as obstructed???
We still do not receive packages from UPS & prefer not to due to their rude unprofessional*** behavior! They also block driveways to make deliveries so people cannot get out of their driveways as making deliveries to a home across the road {instead of pulling into the driveway of the recipient} & block major highway roads to what may cause accident of cars going opposite direction as cars behind have to wait or proceed around hoping not to be hit by oncoming traffic while they stand & chat with people. While traffic is backed up because of truck left in middle of road "Obstructing Traffic".

My Phone Carrier sent my package out for next day delivery that was supposed to be delivered on for 4/14/18. Upon tracking the driver I found that he/she was within 2 blocks of the delivery address however I never received the package. So, I contacted UPS only to find out that even though they scanned the package in as out for delivery the package actually never left the facility. Therefore instead of getting my package on 4/14 I won't get it until 4/16.
UPS is the most inconsiderate company I have ever dealt with. They show no remorse for inconveniencing their customers nor do they even attempt to try and make good on their error. Some here on out I will NEVER EVER pay my money to utilize UPS. Also if there is any company/individual sending me ANYTHING they will be told upfront that I do not want any packages sent to me via UPS because they SUCK.
This has been a HUGE inconvenience to me as I was supposed to catch a flight today business purposes and I need that package in hand before catching the flight therefore this means no flight for me until Monday and this was for business. So now in addition to being inconvenienced by UPS they have also caused me to lose money on a flight and again they show NO REMORSE. Now to top it all off today is Saturday April 14th which is when the package should have been delivered and it is currently 8:30 p.m. central time and had I not called UPS on my own they clearly had no intention on contacting me regarding my package. Customer beware: The UPS store at 3712 N. Broadway, Chicago, IL lost a package that I brought to them for delivery in December of 2017. It was a Christmas gift that never arrived, but that is not the biggest problem. When I called the local store to try to track the package and get assistance with finding the package, I was met with a very hostile and unhelpful response from the woman who answered the phone initially and on subsequent calls. Finally after about a month, it seems she filed a report of the lost package with UPS itself and had an agent from UPS phone me. That representative was very helpful on the phone but proceeded to not follow up with me, or ask for the needed paperwork or documentation in order to issue a refund. Eventually a check was arrive in the mail for an amount that was quite a bit less than the value of the goods sent.
I called the UPS claims group about that and was told to fill out new claims forms and provide a copy of the invoices, which I did. I was instructed to fax the info to the UPS Claims Processing Center. I tried to fax the info on a Friday and again twice on the following Monday. The fax number was not accepting faxes. I called about this and was told to mail in the forms (which is also an option on the form). I replied that if I did, I would have no proof of having mailed the information.
However, since I had no other option I mailed the forms and supporting information on 3/5/18. I have never received a call or followup in any way since that time. I called today 4/12/18 to follow up and was told (after being transferred a few times) that the paperwork was not received. Then the agent told me that there was a resolution entered into the system but that the information was sent to the local UPS Store at 3712 N. Broadway and that maybe I should call them.
If the local UPS store received information on a claim for a package sent through them, they should have contacted me. But of course they did not. That store was not helpful in the beginning so it is no surprise that they are not being helpful now. I would like to add that the store employee pointed out quite strongly that their store is not UPS (even though they are a UPS Store, with a big sign to prove it) and that they are not responsible for any lost packages. So here it is 4 months later with no proper handling of the claim for the package UPS lost. They did not follow the claims protocol on their website. Almost no one gave me a straight story, and I am done. I do not ever plan to use that UPS store again which is too bad because it is a convenient location for me. So far, I am not planning to ever use any UPS store in the future. I have had significantly more professional and reliable service from the post office!

This time, a signature was also required, and the driver claimed he STILL just sat my package out by the road - as in, didn't even bring it to my door - and it was stolen. As in, he told his boss that. Wow. On May 5th, 2018, UPS failed to deliver two packages, from two separate senders, to our address. When I checked the UPS tracking information, both read: "receiver refused delivery". We never refused delivery of either package. I contacted both companies, and while one was satisfied with my word that we had not refused the delivery, the other was not. The second company requested that I pay an additional shipping fee as the UPS tracking information CLEARLY stated: "The receiver does not want the product and refused the delivery".
I contacted UPS Customer Service and they confirmed that both packages were damaged in transit, and that we had NOT, in fact, refused any deliveries. When I asked that they correct the tracking information - they REFUSED. UPS Customer Service said that adding the damage scan was sufficient, and, should a company require further clarification, they can request a LETTER OF EXPLANATION from UPS.
This is how the tracking information currently reads for both shipments: "04/06/2018 1:02 A.M. Your package was damaged in transit. We will notify the sender with details. / All merchandise discarded. UPS will attempt to notify the sender with details of the damage. West Columbia, SC, United States. 04/05/2018 10:04 P.M. The receiver does not want the product and refused the delivery. / The package will be returned to the sender. 04/05/2018 12:30 P.M. The receiver does not want the product and refused the delivery. 04/05/2018 7:15 A.M. Destination Scan. 04/05/2018 6:56 A.M. Destination Scan. 04/05/2018 6:55 A.M. We'll be in your area and will deliver your UPS SurePost® package instead of the post office. 04/05/2018 6:00 A.M. Arrival Scan."
UPS should manage their own information!!! It's not my responsibility, nor a company's responsibility, to contact UPS for a letter explaining what happened to a package(s) they were paid to deliver. Their tracking information should ONLY reflect ACCURATE information. If a customer did not refuse a delivery - their tracking information shouldn't state otherwise. If they damaged a package - their tracking information should clearly state that. The UPS Agent told me that customer refusal is sometimes used as a "default scan" by drivers for damage. THAT IS NOT AN APPROPRIATE DEFAULT FOR DAMAGE!! That puts the blame and burden on the customer!! The UPS Agent understood the predicament they have put me in and said, while she was sorry and sympathetic, she wouldn't be able to remove the erroneous information.
From now on, I am going to request USPS shipping whenever I'm able. I will avoid UPS as much as possible. Whatever the shortcomings of the post office, I'm never going to be on the hook for extra shipping costs because they decided blaming the recipient was an appropriate "default". UPS will only correct their mistakes in a letter the contracting company (sender) has to request. Outrageous.

Over the past two weeks I had my customer use my UPS account to send me important documents for priority overnight delivery. Once they picked it up and instead of delivering it by 10.30 they delivered it by 12.45. The second time it was delivered a day late. They refused to credit my account. They claimed it was weather related. The weather was 40 degrees with no issues. I had deliveries from FedEx the same day with no issues. I have instructed my clients not to use UPS for my deliveries unless there is no other choice.

I went to the UPS Store on 3/20/18 to ship a package. I arrived after the pickup time (6pm) but was told my package would ship out 3/22/18 as there was a storm coming 3/21/18 and the store would be closed. On 3/22/18 around 1:30pm the label was created for my package (although a label had been created on the 20th). I went to check the site that day only to find there was no info other than saying the label was created. I figured it would take time to update but Friday still nothing. On Saturday still not seeing any progress on the site. I called and was told they couldn't do anything until AFTER the scheduled arrival date which was 3/27/18. I checked the site over the next few days and nothing.
So I called again and was told to contact the shipper. After doing so an investigation was launched but the investigation is looking where the shipment was sent to go. I called to ask if they were looking at the departure location and I was told I can't get that information because I'm not the shipper, which I am. I understand they want me to go through the store to get information but why aren't they looking at both locations? It's going on 2 weeks and my package has yet to be found and they don't seem to care. I have information that could be useful in helping find my package quickly such as it wasn't packed in a UPS box and my address is inside right under a layer of bubble wrap. At this point I'm wondering if UPS even has an investigation department or am I just getting the run around until my package is delivered (hopefully) or they destroy it.

We have been a UPS customer for over 10 years, shipping our packages to our customers through UPS. On March 22, we dropped off a package at the UPS center at Staples for UPS NEXT DAY AIR for a customer who needed our goods urgently. The package was not delivered until March 26. We then called UPS to request a refund for this package which we paid $106 dollars to deliver the next day. UPS declined the refund. We called them immediately and they stated that it was "out of their hands" and absolutely refused to refund us. They told us to call the Staples location because it was their problem. We called Staples and the UPS department there said they could do nothing about the package because it was with a prepaid label and told us to call back UPS billing department.
We did and spoke to the supervisor of the UPS billing department named David who told us that he couldn't do anything because even though our package was dropped off Thursday, the UPS delivery guy didn't come that day to pick up. He said that it was "out of his control" and that there was nothing we could do about the $106 that we just wasted on "next day air".
We are very dissatisfied with UPS customer service, there are so many loopholes to the "refund policy" that they can exploit out of their customers. In addition, every UPS agent always pushes their responsibility to someone else. This was a UPS billing issue so I don't know why they kept pushing us to the Staples UPS drop off center who pushed us back to UPS billing department. Nobody wants to take responsibility for their action, each party saying "this is out of our control". If UPS is not in control of their UPS drop off locations then who is and what's to say this will happen again? We have wasted so much time trying to deal with this mistake that UPS MADE in addition to losing a valuable customer who is now angry that his package was delivered 3 days late.

We hunt those packages down intermittently. Instead of knocking or ringing the doorbell so we can continue suffering our eternal signature punishment for one non-delivery 3 years ago, they sometimes just leave a note, stating that they "missed" us, and we will have to await their next visit. But we are here, a whole group of us, we are running a business that never closes down, the place is never empty. Their website is useless, so I call to get help. The San Francisco Bay Area is known for forward-thinking companies that model efficiency and progress. UPS is the exact opposite! Not only are they backward thinking with their antiquated, inflexible, and limited delivery schedules (they will not give you a delivery time window) they also are completely incompetent. It took calling customer service to find out that they suddenly stopped making Saturday deliveries to my neighborhood. And, because I could only accept my package on a weekday, I was forced to take an entire day off to accept the package because they would not give me a delivery time window. Based on prior bad experiences, I proactively called UPS customer service to advise I had taken the day off to accept and ensure delivery. The agent assured me that the package (a treadmill) would be delivered as scheduled today.
At 5:00 p.m., I called UPS back and learned that the delivery had arbitrarily been rescheduled to Tuesday because they "missed me" because they thought my address, which is located in a residential zip code was a business address. Despite an automated message that advises customers to expect delivery up to 8:00 p.m.--or later, I was unable to arrange to have the package delivered as promised. I called customer support back (my 3rd call in one day) to speak to a supervisor and after waiting 30 minutes to speak to a supervisor someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up without so much as a "hello." Prior to the hang up, the agent required me to give her my number, but when no one called back I was forced to call back again (my 4th call) and waste another 45 minutes trying to arrange delivery with a person who I had to repeat at least half dozen times that due to my schedule, I could not take off another day this week.
Besides having zero ability to listen, he never transferred my call to a supervisor--he just kept telling me to go online to schedule another delivery date this week! This is just one of many horrible customer service nightmares I've experienced with UPS, which appears to have grown too large in the Bay Area to even bother to pretend to care about their customers. Trust me, in the Bay Area, this company is the WORST and sellers/purchasers if you can work with any other delivery company you should do so and AVOID UPS LIKE THE PLAGUE! Moving forward, I will advise sellers that I will NOT purchase goods that require UPS delivery.

The reason for my review today is because in my excitement over a big purchase I'd been saving for and working towards for over a year, I didn't realize my package was being delivered UPS. I was already told it'd be delivered the 21st by end of business but decided to really look at what was happening... Oh. Oh... It was received, scanned, and then thrown in a bin for 'screw them' purchases AKA all UPS packages. It's in CA, just sitting in a bin and has been for 3 business days. It won't move for another almost two business days (because I guarantee it won't get a departure scan until 8 PM on the 20th) when it will make a move and be delivered next day as though on an overnight rush, from CA to FL. If they were just going to wait 4 days and overnight it why didn't they just overnight it on the intake scan day?
The worst part is it was a $1,500 laptop purchase. I want my purchase in UPS's hands for the LEAST amount of time, not sitting getting wrecked by whatever alien monster battles happen in their warehouses for EIGHT DAYS. Every time we have a package coming from UPS you can guarantee that it will not be delivered until the end of business on D-Day if at all. The only packages delivered during 'normal mail hours' are Amazon vendor packages. We have literally received packages off THE SAME TRUCK twice in a day because Amazon packages go out in the AM and at 8:30 PM at night is when we get our non-Amazon UPS packages. The driver will NOT give you the other packages even if he himself knows they're in the truck because they're scheduled for 'end of day' delivery. They'd rather add more time to the route than do it right.
Packages are almost guaranteed to be crushed, smooshed, wet, greasy, or damaged in some horrible way that makes your blood boil as you tear open your package expecting your 8-10 day wait to have culminated in a damaged/broken product delivered because of UPS's negligence. I am happy to say that it seems vendors know they can expect the worst handling and zero care on UPS's part and most if not all packages come with extra protection around the product.
When purchasing the same product multiple times from a vendor that changes carriers I see Amazon USPS products getting a bit of that brown paper wadded up while UPS will have 6 layers of bubble wrap... Which you can see from the usual gaping hole from what looks like a javelin attempting to pierce the package. One of the worst things about UPS is the price for non-businesses. I don't know why any site uses UPS aside from what must be amazing and competitive contract pricing on their end. Us customers are getting shafted.
I purchased a set of two bearings off an ATV website and shipping was almost EIGHT DOLLARS. EIGHT DOLLARS and a two-week window delivery from UPS for a product weighing maybe 7 oz that would be 3.50-4.50 first class retail USPS delivered in 1-3 days. And that price depends on the contract if any. Worst case scenario 7 or so is a small flat rate USPS delivered in 2-3 days. I also find it infuriating that they can never specify when 'end of business' is. It could be 7 PM... Or 10 PM. They don't know. They don't know where their drivers are, what they're doing, what packages are on the truck, if the packages are out for delivery, or when they will be delivered... Ever.
Besides all the business and handling and everything else... They also steal the sense of excitement from a delivery. After the 4th truck passing going the same way down my 4 mile dead-end street with no stop made, that sense of jitters fizzles out into a sense of frustration and defeat, figuring your package won't even be delivered that day. If it is, it's more of a 'finally, ugh' instead of a 'YAY IT'S HERE!'. I actively avoid businesses that only offer UPS shipping unless it's the only place I can buy the product I'm looking for and will never use them for any of my outgoing shipping needs.

She asked me when would be a convenient time for delivery, I explained late in the day. She stated that my package would be delivered tomorrow (which is now today) between 5 and 7pm. In order to be home by 5, I left work early and skipped a family event at work just to wait for the delivery since they would not leave it without a signature. While sitting in my living room while continuing to stare out the window, I got an email AT 6pm stating the delivery time was changed to 8am tomorrow. Really???
I left work early and now I am supposed to go in late tomorrow? I cannot put my life on hold! If they would have emailed me say, before 4pm to let me know of the change, ok, fair enough. But not right in the middle of the delivery window I was given! I then called and chatted with someone and of course they could do nothing but recommend I drive 45 minutes away to pick it up if I couldn't have anyone at home tomorrow morning. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

A package was shipped to me from a large US company. When the package was 2 days late I began to inquire about it. I don't know the details, but somehow the wrong city was put in the address. I spoke in person on Friday with a person who said that the address had been corrected and package would be delivered on Monday. On Monday they said they had the correct information but they hadn't got it soon enough and the package would be delivered on Tuesday. On Tuesday morning I got a notice that they didn't have the correct address and needed more information. Again, that morning I talked to two people, one in a service center and then she arranged a local customer service lady to call me back. We went through all the info and she assured me it would be corrected, then, on the way home that evening at 6:14 PM I got another text message that information was incomplete.
It is amazingly difficult to get to a real person with UPS on the phone, even harder to get one who doesn't speak with a foreign accent, and at this point I think nearly impossible to get one that can get anything done. This company's business is addresses. Can it really be this difficult? So that Tuesday evening, after an unproductive exchange with artificial intelligence, I tried the live chat. The pertinent info was transferred from AI to live chat.
The next morning there was no phone call. Tracking information remained the same at 10:00 am, long after the trucks would have left the hub. I again called customer service. After a long and drawn out exchange I was told the same thing I had already been told on 4 previous exchanges. Correction was made. At 10:36 am there was an update shown on the tracking, but no indication of when delivery will be made.
Customer service is not really customer service. They have trained apologists, and business proceeds at their pace with little concern for the customer. I realize my one package is insignificant in relation to the huge numbers, but incompetence in customer service is hidden because there is no way to complain except to the incompetent. At this point, assuming delivery is made tomorrow, it will have taken 13 days to deliver about halfway across the US. A full 6 days after notification of wrong town, which is 90 miles away and the same hub it would have came through even if address was correct. I might add that my correspondence with the company I was purchasing from has the correct address in it.

You stay in all day having taken a day off work and then in the afternoon they reschedule the delivery for the next day. When I phoned - having finally got through their long winded, inefficient and inaccurate voice recognition phone system to speak to someone - the excuse given was 'it wasn't loaded on the van'! They don't care who the inconvenience or at what expense. This is not a one off either, I would never use them if I had a choice. And funnily - it's impossible to find the link on their website for complaints...

We purchased extra insurance for several gifts for an upcoming tradeshow and the vendor shipped it overnight. The next day the UPS driver brought it in our office and our receiving department noticed the top was tapped back on and that it was a completely empty box. The driver said that nobody had been in his truck. We filed the insurance claim and UPS denied it, claiming it wasn't packaged in accordance with their standards. 1. Completely BS rebuttal, the vendor is a fortune 500 company that followed everything. 2. We had the box, how on earth could they determine if it was packaged correctly? 3. They accepted the box and took our money for the insurance, but then failed to pay. We're moving all of our accounts to a new company, even USPS is better than this. We had staff calling UPS trying to deal with this for an entire week with the following reports:
Numerous times supervisors promised to call us back, yet never did. Each time they claimed they tried to call and nobody answered. That's not possible, our business is open 24/7. So their supervisors are not only dishonest, they're just plain lazy. After waiting and talking to different reps, about a third of the calls were simply disconnected by the rep when requesting to speak to a manager. One rep actually used profanity as a normal part of their conversation. Completely unacceptable.
It's clear to me that this business is not just mismanaged, but grossly so. It really seems like they've hired from the very bottom of the labor force and then benefit from their incompetence as people simply get tired of dealing with them and just give up. The best way to deal with a company like this is to vote with your wallet and to stop dealing with them entirely.

They told me they will put a priority after they missed a Saturday delivery (paid extra for that - no weather issues). Unfortunately in the area I've resided in these past 9+ years delivery service has been inadequate to not at all. There have been several incidents that I've had to notify them and ask about a package not received. Wondering if it had ever been sent. I've had responses like, "Yes we sent your package but the driver decided not to deliver it and left @ the UPS Store." I was not contacted by UPS about my package at all. When I called the UPS Store in Delaware I could only get a recording. I left a message asking if they received my package and they would NOT return my call. So I went to the UPS Store and asked about the package and was rudely told in a curt manner that they DO NOT receive packages. They are a store only. I had to persist with this off putting agent. And repeatedly informed him that main office in Marion told me it was delivered to the store in Delaware and would he please at least look for it or call the UPS Office in Marion.
Finally he made a short trip of perhaps 25sec and found my package on a shelf in the UPS Store in Delaware. Since then I've had several occasions that I've had to try and locate my packages due to either no delivery to my home. And or no notification of even an attempt of delivery. Other times I have received my packages left at my door without any attempt to let me know that the package was placed in the hallway of my apartment bldg. in front of my door. This area is the only area of the USA that I've had poor service. I've lived in many other states in my lifetime. And never had a problem with UPS. It seems no one at the UPS Store or the main UPS Store in Marion, Ohio could give any explanation about the reasons for the poor service. Nor did they offer any apology or concern about rectifying the issue, even though it continues to happen.

I tried twice and the results were similar. Haven't tried free shipping again with a soup order. Where is the work ethic? I complained twice to no avail. It's the fact, the email tells me that, their previous email doesn't count and somehow I am the confused one, rather than admitting to their screw up.

About a year ago I requested to a package to being inside my day. Did you I crime I supposed to send back the boxes for my DirecTV. I don't know what's going to leave it in my front porch or I got to do is just pick it up and the next couple weeks at $1,000.

UPS consistently delivers on-time and to correct address. Which is not something I can say for FedEx or the USPS. Regulatory of Delivery employees who care about their jobs is, in my opinion, the reason for their high rating here. Only negative is the extreme difficulty of using their “My UPS” online app, which is constantly trying to get me to buy a VIP membership when just trying to pre-sign expected deliveries or other delivery options that are supposed to be supported by the free app.

No problems. I just wish they'd update the tracking more often. Their You to g at times does not make sense. For example my package went from TX to north vs. Hoi h directly West to California. It seemed to take extra shipping time which is not efficient.

Absolutely absurd that their stores and deliveries do not operate on Sunday the first day of the week. Service in store is good but having to wait a day to use them is absurd. They are unionized which is good though. But until they open on Sunday will look for other alternatives. Amazon goes 7 days. Why can't UPS do the same?

Lost, Damaged Packages - Appalling and rude customer service. They disconnect you, refuse to help in any reasonable fashion and never return your call after promising to do so. Same poor experience online. The most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They destroyed a valuable piece of art that can never be replaced or repaired.

Deliveries have always arrived in good condition when sent to my home. I also use a local UPS office to accept monthly deliveries of medications that need to be signed for and which I can’t be home to receive. It’s a wonderful, secure service and it means the package doesn’t depend on my being home during the day or worrying about the package being left outside my door, where it might be stolen. The UPS store always calls me when the package, which is perishable and shipped in a cold pack, arrives. I’m very happy with their service. I just wish the office was open on Sundays.

When ordering my orders are mostly on time! But when I sign up for alerts they are good tracking on packages. It let me when they leave till they arrive to destination. I get alerts my phone or email even text to phone. This really helps me keep up with my orders.
