After how many phone calls and how many emails, UPS still manages to not read or follow its own system. I avoid dealing with UPS whenever possible because of their ridiculous brokerage charges, inability to read their own instructions and a company that obviously has no concern for customer satisfaction. I have these same issues every time I use UPS. It's years of screw ups. My advice to everyone is - AVOID UPS AT ALL COST. You will be so much happier you didn't use them. DISASTER! Unless you want to overpay and get underdelivered.

I made a purchase to Giuseppe Zanotti on November 23rd. My package was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday, November 27 - a day that I was home to receive the package. I was informed that there was a delay and UPS attempted to deliver the next day. I made arrangements to have them return the package to the Bedford Park location. I was told to pick up after 7 pm. When I arrived, I was informed that it had not returned to location. I returned to pick up the following Monday, (the facility is closed on Weekends) only to be told that my package was lost and to file a lost claim with UPS. I sat in their parking lot on that Monday, December 3rd to file the claim. Once I returned home, I sent Giuseppe an email regarding the missing merchandise, as a representative was not available after business hours. I followed up with a call the following morning and they opened a missing claim as well.
A message was left on my phone from someone named Brian at the Bedford Park location on Friday, December 7 regarding my package, however I did not hear the message until Saturday, when they were closed. I returned the call on Monday, and the lady mentioned that my package was returned to the Sender. I've been communicating with Giuseppe and have been told by several representatives that they are waiting for UPS to resolve the claim. I've also spoken with several representatives from UPS and I've been told that it takes 10 business days to complete an investigation. Ten days has passed and still no resolution. I spoke with someone today and was told that the investigation was opened on December 12. That is untrue, when I made the initial claim on December 3rd! It should not take a package a month to be delivered when it was scheduled for 2-day expedited shipping.
I no longer want the shoes because I am beyond exasperated by this entire debacle of a process that neither can seem to resolve. I just want my money back. UPS also failed to deliver another package within the scheduled time that I paid extra money for expedited shipping. Their business practices are terrible at best. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

A UPS employee in Lawnside, NJ sorting facility stole my package with Christmas & Birthday gift cards to my Grandchildren. The gift cards were used in stores in that area. I even have the receipts from 1 of the stores. They said there could be security video of thief, but requires police investigation. I am not a NJ resident- UPS has done nothing. They will not call police or even call me back. One customer service supervisor told me ‘Oh well’. Another employee asked what I wanted and when I said someone arrested, they chuckled and said ‘that’s not going to happen’. They are covering up a crime!

When sending package they told me to make sure delivery for which I paid more. Package is still not delivered and they are lying now mentioning they hit weather. Weather was impacted just one day. One package I sent with FedEx is already delivered. If weather was the issue why they did not hit it. They are not able to handle holiday deliveries due to which they lie to customers. When I went back to their office, they stating, "We can’t help you as we hit weather." Their service sucks and this will be my last time with them. Hope my important document reaches safely.

UPS seems to live in a different world than the rest of us. It seems drivers are trained to lie about attempted package deliveries and this is perfectly okay. I say this because I forgot through this at almost every instance that UPS is scheduled to deliver a package to me. The company has no way of tracking/proving delivery attempts so packages where you have paid for next day shipping are getting delivered 3-5 days later. It’s so inconvenient that I make online purchases based on the shipping options available and companies that have alternatives to UPS will get my business all the time.

Guy pulls up and I watched him chuck 2 of my packages right into my driveway where anyone can take. And it also can now be damaged??? I am so confused as to how hard it is to walk a few more feet and set it down? Why must we ruin things I pay a lot for. Ridiculous. I shouldn't have to worry about my products being damaged because of your careless drivers.

My experience with UPS was a nightmare. My overnight package was ultimately lost. We were subjected to lie after lie. Ultimately the only truthful thing we were told is that they don't know where the package is. The individuals on the phone are trained to follow a script that was irrelevant. They continually provide vacuous apologies. The tracking function on the website was completely misleading. I felt like I was in a web of lies and misleading statements. I will never use UPS again.

I received two packages on 12/12/18. UPS delivered a very large bulky package to the front door and rang the doorbell. FedEx delivered a much smaller package leaving it unprotected at the end of the garage in the snow/sleet and no notification other than a text that it was there. Thank you UPS!

Somehow, I missed my package arriving. The note said it would be at a UPS store by tomorrow evening. A few hours later, I got messaged by some random guy who said he got my name off a package from a UPS driver who left it in his office. The driver left my package at a Automotive store. How the hell does that even happen? I'm lucky this guy cared enough to track me down otherwise he could have gotten a free gift. Ridiculous!

I have been tracking my package for days that has mysteriously disappeared in the UPS delivery system. Considering all of the wonderful technological advances and tracking capabilities with confirmation, all their customer service representative could say is contact the sender who paid our company funded by your shipping fee to deliver your merchandise and promptly hung up. Not a good answer or customer service. Think twice before using this company to ship your important packages. UPS has lost my business.

We have a small engine business and most of our suppliers are within 50 miles of us and should be 1 day shipping! When you get something the next day anywhere between 10 am and 7 pm you may as well call it 2 day. It's usually after 3. 10 years ago you could set your watch to the UPS truck at 10 am. Some will blame it on the holiday rush but this has been ongoing year around. And it never fails. The day I really need something it's a late day. Basically brown SUCKS!

I received notice of a package on its way from UPS. It is 5 days out, and I wanted to change the time of delivery, since I will be at work during their 4 hr window. I signed up for the "Manage Preferences" online and ended up calling Customer Service for help. The lady that answered didn't know how to change the window of time, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. I ended up speaking with Angelo and he was the rudest person I've ever dealt with. He said that changing the time option was not available, and when I said I needed help, being 5 days out, he started arguing with me. Never have I had anyone so RUDE, who truly didn't care how he treated me. I asked to be transferred to his manager, and he flat out refused. How can a delivery service not help in facilitating a delivery 5 days out? I have dealt with FedEx in the past and never have I had that horrible treatment. I just don't understand what has happened to Customer Service?!?

At 545 pm again stated no one home for delivery. Again no notice. Call customer service again told the local facility would call me to make arrangements again for delivery. No call. Then I'm told I should contact the shipper. They do not care to do the job they are asked to do. It is just sorry that this company has come to this. I purchased a package for my mother through UPS. It was bought through Apple, and they guaranteed it would be delivered by Wednesday, Dec, 12. That's when I received the message "Due to operating conditions, your package may be delayed. / Delivery will be rescheduled." What a joke. I contacted UPS customer service inquiring as to why my package was late and this was their response. "Due to our heavy volume for our peak season as well as the added volume from the Canada Post strike and as well as the weather delays, we are experiencing several delivery delays." Companies should prepare for peak seasons, rather than delaying the deliveries of their products. Hire more staff, rather than cancel guaranteed delivery dates. Absolutely ridiculous. I hope I never have to use UPS again.

Don't trust them by any means necessary. They pretend to deliver packages. I waited all day for my package just for them to pretend they delivered it. When I noticed they never came, I checked the tracking status just for it to say "delivery attempted at 3:07 pm, will try again tomorrow". I called customer service and requested my package be held so I can pick it up myself, I was ensured it would be there in the morning by 9:30 am. Next day now...I arrive to pick up my package, just to be told it was left at my front door last night at 8:58 pm. After expressing my frustrations, I was given a number to headquarters. When I called them all they said was to call the company where you placed your order and have them replace it. So, I said "oh, that's what you all are doing? Stealing packages and telling customers to call and have their items replaced". After that conversation my tracking status went to "transferred to local post office". Very funny.
So, I entertain it, I go to the post office knowing good and well it wouldn't be there...and just like I thought, the tracking number UPS generated for the post office was "inactive". How ironic. Long story short, I ended up having to call the company to replace my items. I'll be picking it up myself from the company. It really sucks because the items were for my 6 year old who has anxiously been awaiting his package. Hey, I guess his kid needed it more than my child. If I can help it, I will never ever use UPS again! Their customer service sucks!!! Terrible company!!!

Allegedly in areas in which a package has gone missing, drivers are released from delivering a package if no one is home. However, there is no notification of the attempted delivery. There is no way for a customer to know that the package is now in limbo somewhere, short of not getting a delivery in a timely fashion and trying to figure out from the vendor what's going on. How simple for the driver to at least leave some notification by email or a sticky note on the door. Again and again and again I'm being forced to drive to some store somewhere to pick up material that should have been left at my door a week or so after it should have been delivered. I'm asking all vendors to stop using UPS. Why buy online if I have to travel to get my stuff? Stick with some other delivery system.

The organizational structure of UPS’s customer service apparatus is thoroughly ineffective because it repeatedly fails to address the incorrect sorting and delivering of packages at their source – that is, the UPS local service centers and their delivery drivers. In dealing with UPS over the last several years, it has become clear to me that even their own customer service supervisors are denied easy and/or reliable access to the managerial staff at the local sorting facilities when needed.
I don’t blame the UPS customer service reps for this at all, but rather the company’s failed customer service model. If my package is being repeatedly mis-sorted, mis-delivered, or stuck interminably “in transit,” I don’t need to speak to someone in a remote call center who has no direct knowledge of, or control over, the issue at hand. Rather, I need to speak to an onsite service rep who knows what’s going on, and who is able to address the problem at its source. This is just common sense. I am an office manager for a small company based in Texas, and UPS has now lost my business – both personally and professionally. Wake up, UPS – your customer service is a joke. Stop wasting your money on useless surveys and overseas call centers, and instead invest in the adequate staffing and training of your personnel at the local level.

But, long story short it's been in New Mexico on hold despite the fact that I have been in contact with them every single day of the past week. Through the course of this week I have been told a series of different excuses as to why my package still hasn't gotten to me. Now that it's been a week they want to act like they somewhat care but won't take the necessary steps to correct their mistake. Now they pretty much tell me I'm on their time to get my package due to the high volume of packages coming to the facility around this time of the year. This is truly unacceptable.

After two weeks one of the packages was nowhere to be found and now the vendor AND Amazon has closed the case and will no longer issue the refund leaving UPS 100% responsible for my loss.
UPS has instructed me to send all labels, product description, model numbers, etc to the UPS store for claim request. After all this wasted time, on phone and computer e-mailing back and forth, the UPS store now tells me UPS has approved $100 for my claim although I am out $865. PLUS $101.06 for shipping. They were lying constantly that they are sorry and they'll fix the problem and call you first time in the morning and it took them a few days. The promised 3-5 business days delivery turned into 2 weeks delivery, and nobody cares except me, because I paid my money and want my package. 1 star is too much because I've got an impression that the service is dying and there are no people who're interested in happy customers or good reputation.

Then now after they closed the investigation cause they said there was nothing they can do about it the UPS guy has went to other UPS guys and told them, "Yeah I took that tree to the wrong house and it was their neighbors that took it"!!!
There are so many witnesses and evidence that my neighbors have it but UPS won't do anything about it even tho it was their fault! He talked to his supervisor which must have told him to call the manager at the distribution center and she told him it was on a trailer and scheduled to be unloaded and not guaranteed for delivery tomorrow either.
The UPS guy has delivered other packages to my house since then and this package has been stuck on a trailer instead of being delivered. I asked him what it was doing on a trailer since it had already been out for delivery a week ago and he said that is where it is stored. Hi, My name is Merlin ** and I own a company in Costa Rica. I normally use DHL and UPS not too often but I do. Lately we have been using more UPS than your competitors, however I am a disappointed with your overall service here. First you take the decision to remove my area for door to door delivery so I have to send someone to meet your driver. And last Thursday Nov 29th one of your CS reps from the imports package delivery calls my office and tell us that a driver has a package for us but asking me "how we can make the delivery..." (Your reps need to start proactively suggesting a solution like meeting the driver at a convenient point, instead of just saying flat out, "We don't go there," and staying silent like they don't care because it is our problem not yours... That's the first chance to improve for you).
So, on that call we agreed to meet somewhere in the capital but the UPS driver will call us to set a specific place, but that call never happened, Friday either... Today is Monday and I had to call to ask what was happening, but when I explained the CS rep over the phone of the situation the guy sounded like he did not care, no attempt to show empathy at all due to my situation (second chance to improve). The delay was due to customs random check (understandable) but what is not ok is the bad communication you have with your customers, as I was expecting at least a phone call informing on the situation (third chance to improve). Apologizing, showing empathy, acknowledge the customer's situation, good communication: you failed on all of that! But it's up to you if you wanna keep your customers happy or not.

I had a package of heart meds sent, guaranteed, that never arrived... oh, wait, they DID arrive but were stored on a truck (a day late, on Saturday) and couldn't be unloaded, even though they said "Delivery by end of day" on tracking. So, maybe they'll be delivered ONE WEEK LATE TO ANOTHER TOWN, since I won't be in the town they were shipped to, as I told them to begin with. UPS is a total Charlie Foxtrot.

I called to ask why they have a 5-6 day shipping guarantee, yet it had been 10 days since I ordered my item. They told me they had a late trailer. Apparently, their problems were now my problems. I spoke to a supervisor about refunding my shipping costs. They forced me to seek a refund from the company I bought the item from. The only person who didn't do their job was UPS!! I called the company who was sending my item and explained to them how UPS does not take responsibility or acknowledge fault for their guarantees being nicely worded lies, or their packages not arriving within the entire week they were supposed to arrive.
Long story short, the company who sent my item had to refund my shipping, and proceed to argue with UPS about refunding the shipping costs back to them. I told the UPS supervisor that I will never use UPS again. And I meant it. I am glad she heard me say that before she hung up on me. I can't wait for UPS to go out of business.

If it weren't for the supervisor in Romoland, I would give UPS a "No" star rating. I paid for 2-day expedited shipping and it has been 4 days since the package was shipped and no package. Two days it has been loaded onto the truck for delivery and at the end of the shift unloaded back at the Destination Center which is 10 minutes from my home. The driver spent 2-days with my package in his vehicle and did not deliver! This was a 2-day expedited shipping. No excuse for this kind of service. The supervisor contacted me and I arranged to pick up my parcel this morning. He personally, removed my package from the delivery truck and is holding it for me at this moment. I planned to give this parcel as a gift today. Cutting it very close. They have lost my trust at this point. The efficiency of a company starts way at the top! Don't charge for expedited services if you can't deliver in the time frame you provide.

If I described even just this one experience it would be a fully novel of them being terrible. I don't understand why anyone would use this pile of garbage excuse for a shipping company. They don't attempt to deliver the package because it's "not safe" to leave it in the building (even though I was here and they made no effort to contact me) so they take it to a sketchy gas station and leave it there for me to get. Often they won't tell you that until they update the tracking 3 days later. You can't change a delivery location or even have them hold it at dispatch because apparently making a label doesn't mean they know where it is going. I really hope they got out of business. Soon. 1 star is too many.

I shipped a package with a picture in it, through the UPS Store located at 358 S 700 S, Salt Lake City. The package was damaged during shipping and returned to me. The store refused to submit a claim for the damaged picture to UPS Corp. I submitted the claim directly. I was told the store would be in touch with me regarding payment of the claim. The store never responded to my telephone calls, I had to go into the store when the manager was in. He submitted his paperwork later and UPS denied payment of the claim, even though I provided proof that the claim had been submitted to UPS and UPS had responded to me by the deadline. I've spent hours working on the claim. I was never giving the proper department or instructions on how the UPS Store claims work.
Even though I paid UPS to ship my package, they broke it during shipping, they refuse to pay for the damage or the cost of shipping. They simply hide behind the store and the store hides behind UPS. I suggest you never ship a package through UPS, if they lose it or damage it they won't reimburse you even if you purchase insurance.

I said, "Are you sure my package will be delivered within 30 minutes?" And she said, "Yes all packages will be out by 8 because we have several drivers delivering." I waited till 9 and my package was never delivered keeping in mind this was an overnight package. This morning I get up. This is today Wednesday November 28th and track the package again and it is showing that it will be here not today but tomorrow Thursday November 29th. So I call and ask, "How was my package out for delivery yesterday and now you're not even delivering it today but tomorrow."
Now they tell me that my package was not even out for delivery that it is in transit to my local terminal. It has been sitting in Columbia terminal since 5 a.m. yesterday morning and it's just now leaving to come to the Florence terminal. This is an overnight package that will actually take 3 days to deliver. I asked her why do they let someone pay for overnight delivery when the service is not even available and she told me that they haven't been paid for the service yet I would have to contact the person that shipped my package.
The representatives are very hard to understand and you are not speaking directly to UPS. There is no way around it and they will not help you and do not care to help you. It's all protocol as of what they tell the customer. I have noticed from reading these reviews that I am definitely not the only one. It's 2 pm now next day and I don't see any updates on the tracking site, and suddenly the estimated delivery time changed to the following day. Called customer service for an hour and they could NOT DO ANYTHING at all. Told me the package ended up in Southern New Jersey and is now on a trailer somewhere they can't reach.
I'm not an expert in logistics, but I'm pretty sure that a "Next Day Air Service" from Washington DC to New York shouldn't end up somewhere in South New Jersey before moving onto a trailer to "somewhere". Actually had some important documents sent into DC from China and Boston days prior as part of this document package to New York using DHL and Fedex respectively. DHL got my documents delivered within 40 hours from CHINA, and Fedex got mine shipped overnight from Boston within 18 hours.
Now I've actually paid more for this UPS Next Day Air service than both DHL and Fedex, and they can't even deliver on the promised DAY even though the distance is the shortest between two of the largest cities in the US. Unbelievable how they can screw this up. Complete disappointment. Will never use UPS ever again. The one time I absolutely needed the guaranteed time delivery. Now I'm just hoping the documents aren't lost, since they are irreplaceable and the deadline has already passed.

UPS the shipping company has created an environment where they do not have to deal with their end customers. They dictate things arbitrarily to franchisees, are very difficult to reach, and have no way to register a complaint. They refer all complaints to franchisees, who must abide by UPS's byzantine and conflicting processes and arbitrary decision making. If something does go wrong with a shipment, as it did with mine, there are no recourses. UPS has literally accepted my claim and then 'unaccepted' it multiple times over nearly 3 months.
They are intractable, take no responsibility for contradictory processes, poor communication, and failures on their part. They do not reward any effort on the part of franchisee, in my situation, to provide customer service, referring all concerns back to the franchisee even though the actual issue is not with the franchisee but with UPS. I spent more than a year making a large coffee table for my god-daughter for her wedding present. I disassembled it, paid for the UPS Store to package it and then shipped it from my home in PA to her home in TX. The experience with the UPS Store was just fine. That's when the problems started (with UPS shipping). My god-daughter was so excited to receive the shipment, only to find that the table top had been broken in half during shipping. Bad quality control certainly, but hey these things happen. Strike 1.
I contacted my local UPS Store, and we agreed that the easiest and cheapest solution was to get it repaired locally (in TX), since it had been shipped nearly 2,000 miles. I found a reputable furniture repairer, who I'm sure could have fixed it easily at a modest cost. But first, UPS had to document the damage (though we had already sent pictures). UPS came to my god-daughter's house and picked up the table.
About a week later, I get a call from my local UPS Store saying that UPS had shipped the broken table back to them (2,000 miles); what did I want them to do with it? They were as surprised as I was that UPS had chosen to ship back the broken table (without discussing it either with me or the sending UPS store). Strike 2.
I agreed with my local UPS store that I would fix the table (at my cost) and then would ship it back to my god-daughter. When I got the box home and opened it, I found that other than the broken table-top, seven of the eight other parts of the table (4 legs and 3 apron pieces) were missing, apparently lost in return shipment. Strike 3. Amidst these three pieces of horrible service, never a word from UPS. Wow... I had always respected UPS and trusted them to carry my important packages. I had to spend 1 hour travel today to track down a small package that should have been delivered to my door. The manufacturer had to sent me a replacement part for a furniture I purchased. It was tiny little screw less than 3 cm. I waited and didn't receive the item. I used the tracking info and was horrified to see that the item was delivered to an access point and that I have until the 15th to pick it up or it'd be sent back to the manufacturer. When I went to the access point, the guy at the counter was condescending, saying I should have been checking my tracking information all the time, when clearly UPS had failed to give me a notice.
I asked him why the parcel wasn't delivered to my address, wondering perhaps the sender didn't put down the right address. He said, "No, it was meant to be delivered to my address." And that the driver either think it was unsafe to leave the item or my landlord took down the notice because it was unsightly, or that the parcel requires a signature.
These claims were completely BS. When I looked over the tracking details, it appeared that driver attempted delivery on Thursday afternoon around 2 pm. Our building has 24/7 concierge and the property management is also open during this time. How would this be considered "unsafe" to leave the parcel? He could have asked someone for direction to the mail room and the item could have easily fitted into the mailbox (which can only be accessed by me with a key). On top of that, my building is not a rental property, so there is no "landlord" who would try to take down my notice, and no this particular parcel did not require my signature.
What's more interesting when I looked at tracking record closely, on the day of "attempted delivery", the location indicated it was at a city 1 hour drive away from my actual address. So it would appear the driver totally went to the wrong address to begin with, so probably the notice was left at a random address there? Really not impressed. Will not consider this service again.

Had a message appear when tracking an incoming shipment. It said incorrect address although the address on the label was right. Called them and agreed to pick it up myself. Went next day to pick it up. I was shocked to find out that they put it on a truck and shipped it to the so-called incorrect address. I called again and complained and asked them to forward to another address and paid the extras. Again they attempted a third time to deliver to old address. Called another time and I was told they were holding it for pick up. It appears the feedback/requests from customer are queued in a sequential way. The messages are dispatched late in the process. So they started processing my comments 4 days after the package was returned by truck driver following three attempts to old address. It has been a nightmare. Can't pick it up and can't get it to my new address. Do not ship with UPS. It is not flexible to do business with them.

I just had to write a review after having the last bad experience with FedEx I will ever let myself have. UPS is immeasurably, infinitely better than FedEx, and really any other shipping service I have used. I suspect the reviews are low because shipping is complicated across the board and also most people don't take the time to write reviews unless they are really mad. UPS is always competent, never lies about what's going on, and rectifies mistakes promptly. I always prefer UPS, namely over FedEx and USPS. I've even started to filter the companies I shop from based on if they contract with UPS.

Last week me and my wife and son traveled from Philippines to Thailand. When we arrived at the Philippines airport we realized we left my wife's suitcase at the hotel. There was no time to get it before our flight so we decided to go ahead and we will have it couriered over the next day. I called a friend I know staying in Pampanga, Philippines. He retrieved our suitcase took it home then called UPS. He filled all forms online and was told (online) that the pickup schedule was 9:00 next morning so he waited all day. No pick up the next day he called them direct. They promise to pick it up next day. When the driver finally arrived he was told he had to print out his application from the online process so they promised they will be back next day 9:00. He printed all the forms the next day. No show so late in the afternoon he called them up. He was told their truck broke down they will get there 9:00 pm that eve. still no show.
Finally on the next day they came picked it up. He had to pay some cash 700 (approx 15 USD) and was promised it will arrive at the address we were staying at in 2 days. This was a big relief because that suitcase had all my wife's clothes and personal things in it. He also gave me the tracking number and emailed me a copy of the receipt. I pre-paid for the shipment (Approx 150 USD.) then 2 days later we get a call here in Thailand from the UPS office in Bangkok. The guy at the other end of the phone spoke no English. Lucky for me I had a Thai friend who could talk with the UPS guy. We were told our suitcase had arrived but before they can finish delivering it I had to go to Bangkok (about 3 hours by private car) to show my passport for customs... I was never told this at all.
I was promised it would be delivered direct to the hotel I was staying but I thought at least we have our suitcase so I hired a car 200 USD for the day asked my Thai friend if they can come with me for translation and off we went. Then when we finally found the UPS cargo office the guy says I have to pay another 3000 Thai Baht Approx 90 USD and they want my passport then they will deliver in 3 days. I was very upset at that point. I was actually willing to pay the 3000 baht but I did not want to trust them with my passport. I asked, “Can I go to customs with you so I can keep the passport on my person.” They said all impossible. The UPS guy called his boss then I was told I could keep my passport but now it was going to cost an extra 7000 Thai Baht (approx 200 USD).
I tried to explain I had already paid in Philippines was supposed to be delivered to my hotel, the UPS guy just said, “I do not understand Thailand and that is how it works here.” I said I Know I do not understand. That is why I hired UPS to do all this logistics for me. And if this was the procedure why was none of this told to us in Philippines beforehand. It was really triggering red lights in my head. I surely was not going to leave my passport. I’m thinking when they do deliver they could ask some scary amount and not give me my passport until I paid. So we decided to cut our losses and we give up and still no suitcase. I guess we will have to go shopping buy my wife all new clothes tomorrow. Thank for nothing UPS!

UPS is in a freefall. You pay for a package to be delivered to a destination but they do not even try. No Failure to delivery note. Packages are placed on locations that seems to be operated by subcontractors for the receiver to go to pick the package. No first attempt, no second attempt, no third attempt to deliver. Contacted customer service and they had the balls to say that that is an extra service putting the package in a near location to be picked up. People pay for at the door delivery. In store pick up option should be free like Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowe's do. UPS never ever again.

I'm writing this from my honest opinion. The UPS failed to deliver my parcel yesterday and left an info notice on my apartment front door which indicates that I can sign to allow the delivery person to leave my parcel in front of my apartment door on the next delivery day. In order to get my parcel today I stayed home all times and found that the tracking update says the receiver was not available at the time of the second delivery attempt. WHAT THE HELL? I stayed home this whole day and no one knocked on my door. I even signed on at the back of the info notice to allow the delivery person to just leave my package and go.
Since I really need this parcel today so I contacted the UPS and one rude lady said they refused to listen to me, insisting that the delivery person did knock on my door because it's their protocol. When I mentioned the delivery guy can just leave my parcel and go, the lady immediately said it's a dangerous area so they couldn't do that. WHAT THE HELL? The box by the description of parcel left without receiver's presence was checked by the driver on the info notice! This lady refused to accept the reality and ignored the fact that they had done a really awful training their delivery people. While I was trying to argue what's really happening, the lady hung up on me. That's how one of the biggest delivery services in America treated their customers.

Verizon chose UPS to deliver a phone to my elderly mother. The first delivery attempt was made on 10/23/18, but my mother was unable to make it to the door before the driver had left. I called UPS and explained that she was home, but couldn't get to the door due to her age. UPS was very courteous and responded that they would deliver again the next day, but there was no delivery window and they couldn't even tell me if it would be before or after 12 noon. On 10/24/18, she stayed close to the door and even placed her dog in the porch, to warn her of any visitors. She is positive that no attempt to deliver was made, but according to UPS, there was no answer. Since Mom is still very sharp, I tend to believe what she says. At 5:30 on the 24th I contacted UPS and explained the situation again.
They again were very courteous and promised that a representative would contact me within the hour and someone would dispatch the delivery to her that evening. Both statements were lies. At 9:00 am 10/24/18, I spoke with another UPS representative, who was also very courteous and promised another attempt, but could not give me anything other than 8 am-8 pm delivery window (Seriously)! After rehashing the situation, the representative agreed the driver would contact me an hour before delivery, which I responded with gratitude.
Another representative contacted soon after to tell that the package was out for delivery, but no attempt to contact me would be made, since drivers don't do that. Bottom line: UPS EMPLOYS COURTEOUS REPRESENTATIVES THAT INTENTIONALLY DECEIVE ITS CUSTOMERS. I believe a majority of customers grow weary and give up. I WILL NOT! I have contacted Verizon and they have agreed to ship my order through FEDEX! Thank you Verizon for giving me a choice.

Follow tracking, and the 2 is delivered to another town. How can that be possible. Called UPS around 4 PM and nice lady said the driver might have made mistake. And will call me back about an hour. The legal document was supposed to be delivered the latest one day after on Friday night. I have emphasized that the document MUST be delivered as scheduled without tolerance. The clerk promised no problem. I paid $49.83 after tax. The drama then started.
When I tracked down the system, I found the package was delayed on Friday at Toronto Customs until early morning Saturday, the reason was so called "delayed by the customs clearance". Fine. Then I called UPS customer service number they provided on tracking page, the representative promised to call Canada UPS to expedite. I know they deliver on Saturday. No result, the package still was not moving in tracking system. I called them on Tuesday Oct 8, 2018 after I saw they left message indicating "Missing Suite # on receiver address", this is ridiculous.
I told customer service that I have left receiver address correctly and the phone number. They should call the receiver to confirm the address. Then the receiver told me that local UPS did call her to confirm address was correct. I thought the package should be delivered that day, Tuesday. I was totally wrong. The package has been dead in the tracking system for a week until today Oct 17, 2018.
I have called UPS customer service so many times emphasizing that the legal document was extremely important and also the receiver was to leave the country on Thursday, two days later. I told them if the package could not be delivered before Thursday, please return the package to me in Katy Texas. The customer service said she has left the notes on file.
Today, Oct 17, 2018, I just received email notice saying the package was just delivered to the noneffective address and was signed off by somebody other than the receiver I mailed to as she has left the country on Oct 11, 2018. I have had 4 shipments from UPS in the past month and zero have made it to my door. No one has attempted to ring my buzzer or even leave a delivery notice. It was up to me to go online to track the package down and pick it up myself. With the 3rd and 4th packages, I was fed up so I called customer service to complain. I spoke with 2 different agents and corresponded by e-mail with a 3rd. All of whom assured me my package would be delivered Oct. 16. At 4:00pm today I got a call saying My package was ready to be picked up. Um, no I will not be picking up the package. "Well I guess you'll never get your package then" was the woman's response.
She then went on to ask me what my problem was and why couldn't I just pick up the package myself. I don't drive, have a baby in a stroller and pay to have heavy things delivered was my response (this is an 18 pound package). I was dumbfounded. I've never experienced such rudeness or total incompetence in my life. You should change your name to a "pick-up service" and not a delivery company because your employees don't seem to grasp what "delivery" means.

My conclusion they have NO idea about packages or the location or delivery days or times. I called UPS customer service twice to attempt to get some help trying to get in touch with the USPS to correct a problem with a UPS shipment that is being shipped through the USPS for some reason. Because it has a UPS tracking number, it’s impossible to get anyone to talk to me via the USPS phone system because you need a valid tracking number first and a UPS tracking number isn’t valid in their automated system so they won’t allow me to speak to a representative. So I called UPS for help. Since this shipment is ultimately their responsibility, I assumed they would provide some support. Quite the opposite.
When you call UPS support, you end up in some third world country. These people have a script and don’t veer from it. They could not care less if you have a problem. They were completely uninterested in my issue. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They must love this because it’s their cue to put you on hold and just never come back. Twice this happened with two different people in the same third world country. Awful customer service. I won’t use them ever again. It’s FedEx from now on.

UPS has a new policy with a slick name. What it boils down to is, if you aren't home on the first try and the package needs a signature, the package is taken for pick up to a store OF THE DRIVER'S CHOICE. I can walk to a very large UPS Store on Woodstock Street in Portland Oregon, but my packages are taken 20 minutes away to Milwaukie Oregon. I have always thought UPS was the best, but now I will go with Amazon, or even FedEx who I have up to now disliked. I can drive to most stores in my area in the time it takes to go pick up a UPS delivery. I'm sure the drivers love it. I am so happy for them.

This indicated that the product had been sent via locations in Israel, Turkey and Germany. It appeared to be in Ottawa, Canada where I live but the tracking list then mentioned import duties etc and then the package was in Philadelphia, and then Louisville before finally being shipped to Ottawa again. I was promised delivery on a Tuesday and waited all day for it. At 8:30 in the evening the tracking system said that charging information had been lost by the driver and I still don't know when to expect it. Emails to complain have been apologetic but not useful. Updated on 11/28/2018: After more than two months of tail chasing I finally received my insurance check from UPS. Drew, the manager of the Lincoln Depot went to work for me. Along with his Security Chief. They again verified my windshield was packaged properly. I have to acknowledge him as he was never made aware of the situation by his supervisor. I am not using UPS again.
Original Review: Shipped from UPS Lincoln, NE valuable obsolete windshield insured for $1500. The glass shop noted the wooden encasement of the corrugated (factory shipping box) was damaged. Windshield cracked from point of impact. UPS immediately denied claim. Lucinda in claims called the Lincoln location, while I was on the phone and spoke to Nesha, UPS supervisor. It was verified on Thursday Sept 27th that I had packed the shipment correctly and verified by the UPS representative Dustin. Paid special handling and met the UPS website criteria to the letter! Since the claim had been denied I was told it would be reversed by Lucinda. On Oct 4th I received a call from Reana **, their insurance representative.
The voicemail stated she thought I did not want to dispute this claim. I returned her call, explained the scenario. So, she stated they needed pictures and more information. I explained it had already been reversed (Sept 27th) and asked what date she had on the denial, it was the first denial. That was a waste of time, UPS stated it was packed correctly why am I now working for them? Called claims again today and spoke to Piul? Another waste of time, all supervisors were on calls with other customers with claims issues and I am to wait an hour for someone, no name given.
I asked for a manager, no can do, how about the “World headquarters” telephone number? "Don’t have it" was his statement! So I googled it, I called the “World Headquarters” telephone number, it’s not the Headquarters, but if you need supplies it a good number. I looked at arbitration under their legal icon. Not too interested in arbitration but jury if it proceeds. I see a breach of their contract with me and tail dragging. Maybe they need a class action suit!

So my daughter and I had to wrestle a 52-pound package down our stairs and into our vehicle and find a drop-off location. I refuse to give UPS another $11 of my money. This is a PAID SERVICE! My street does not require an access code to get down it. I've had several packages delivered by UPS in the past 6 months with no problem. The app said they would try again on Thursday.
Well Thursday came and went without a truck stopping by my house. I called UPS on Friday and told the lady I don't live on a street that requires an access code. She rescheduled the delivery for Monday. It's Monday and the truck has not come by yet. If I don't get it today, I'll be asking for it to be sent back. I will put a dispute on my credit card for the purchase and contact the shipper to let them know why it's being sent back. I'm sure they won't mind a loss of a sale over it.

Now not only is UPS unreliable, they are liars! I took extra care to download their app and signed up for all of their little programs to get notifications on all of my packages. For the last 5 or 6 times I have gotten no notifications, no information, and when I call they tell me their system is down. Kind of odd that their system is down every time I have a package sent. And now, with this latest package, they have it on their website that there is a severe weather warning and they are delayed two days due to severe weather in a specific area.
I double-checked. I have family that live in that area. Now UPS can add lying to their list of flaws. Not only was there no severe weather in that area...it has been shining, sunny, and wonderful for the last 3 weeks! Just to be sure I checked within a hundred-mile radius of where they said the severe weather that was causing delays was. Shiny...sunny...and warm. And again, no emails, no text messages, no information on when my package was even sent or updates or locations.
I had to call the company I ordered from so they could relay all of the information to me. Something funny happen...yesterday there was supposed to be a severe weather warning about 300 miles from my house so my package was going to be delayed 2 days according to their website. BUT today, 17 hours later, the package is now 4 states and over 900 miles away!! How does that happen? So either they are shipping it back to the company before I even get it or they don't know what they're doing. And I don't understand why, on a Friday afternoon, my packages will be sitting at my local UPS Store less than 2 miles from my house and yet I will not get them delivered to me until the following Wednesday!
I have even gone to the UPS Store, they have checked and said, "Yes. Your packages are here." I tell them I want to pick them up and they refused to let me. I offer ID, I offered to pay a fee, and they refused to let me pick those packages up that are 2 miles from my house. And for some reason it takes them 5 days to go 2 miles! FedEx never has that problem. Or when I fill out paperwork to make sure that there has to be a signature delivery? I find the package on my front porch. Shameful! I would like to file a formal complaint against the United Parcel Service as an organization but also specifically against 1) the miscommunication between customer service and the Watertown warehouse. 2) Unprofessionalism of the employees working within the customer service and Watertown warehouse. Yesterday (Tuesday 9/25) I received an email notification from UPS stating that my package would be delivered that day. At around 11:30, the delivery truck driver rang the doorbell but we were not able to hear it. I saw the failure to deliver notice on my door and immediately called customer service to see if I could pick it up. I was told that I would receive a call back within an hour to determine the time for pickup. I waited almost 3 hours for the call before having to leave my home. A message had apparently been left almost immediately after I had left.
I called customer service around 2:30 PM as I was leaving my house to state that I did not receive a phone call and to update the phone number on the request to my cellphone. The agent I spoke with told me the same story that I would receive a call within an hour to determine when I could pick up my package. I waited an hour and did not receive a call. I called again a little after 3:30 PM and was given the same answer. I called again around 4:30 PM and once again received the same story. At this point, I have spent the entire day on the phone. I requested to speak to the agent’s supervisor and I needed a solution. I was put on hold for 30 minutes and then the call dropped. My mom went to pick up the package at the Watertown warehouse and she waited until 9:20 PM.
The delivery truck had arrived at the warehouse but my package was nowhere to be found. The employees were very rude and unprofessional. There was no one apologizing for the miscommunication or mix-up. The employee who went to look for my package called security to tell my mom to go home as they could not find the package. I immediately called customer service again and was told that my package was at the warehouse and there was nothing that they could do about it as the warehouse was now closed. I have called the warehouse multiple times this morning and no one has answered. I called customer service this morning and received the same story that I will receive a phone call within an hour. I will wait the hour and call again if I do not receive any call back.
This is absolutely unacceptable and I formally request a solution be provided immediately. The amount of unprofessionalism shown by multiple employees and departments within UPS is astonishing. I hope that this complaint will push the organization to improve their policies and procedures. I will also post this on a complaint website as I feel that other customers should be informed.

I was told that because I requested an electronic delivery signature, that the equipment would be left without need of my physical signature. This morning I found a note taped to my door that the delivery could not be made as I was not available to sign. The fact is that no one rang my bell and waited for me to answer the door!
I immediately contacted UPS and a different representative said that what the rep told me yesterday was not true; that I did need to sign; the rep also told me that the delivery person is NOT REQUIRED to wait for me to answer the door NOR TO RETURN TO MY OFFICE! I explained that this was important and I could not do my job today without it, but received the usual non-caring response that the delivery would be 'attempted' again tomorrow, or I could travel 40 miles after 7:00 PM to pick the equipment up myself which still left me with UPS holding my equipment for another day. At 6 PM the next day, they still had not picked up the package, so I called, and they said their system was showing it had already been picked up. Very interesting, considering web tracking showed it had not arrived at UPS yet. They sent an urgent message out to call me and said it would be picked up that night. No one called. At 11 AM the next day, I called again and was told they “were unable to get in touch with me” the night before. I hadn’t left my house and there were no missed calls on my phone. Do I verified they had the correct phone number. They put in another request to contact me. At 5 PM (6 hours later), I called the LOCAL UPS service number and let them know I had been waiting for 3 days for them to pick up this package!!! They showed up at 5:15 PM (15 minutes later). Terrible customer service and truly one of worst customer experiences I’ve ever dealt with. Stay away from UPS!

Jan 2018 I submitted a claim to UPS, here's why. My wife was pulling out of our driveway when the UPS driver (Terry **) pulled up. He had a package and stuck it in my wife's back seat of her Yukon Denali. Not knowing what it was she left it overnight for me, so the next day I went to get it out and discovered that the contents had been busted. It was a Lawn Mower battery and the acid had seeped through the paper, bubble wrap, and cardboard onto my leather seat. I noticed that my seat had started to deteriorate so I quickly took pictures of the box, contents, and seat.
As time went on the seat gradually got worse and I took more pictures. I have record of over multiple calls to UPS being promised that it would addressed and someone would call me back in an hour with zero response. I've submitted UPS Facebook messages and spoken with managers Matt in Rome, receptionists, and managers (Terry **). All being promised that first thing in the morning it would be resolved, I'll work on it for you, yada yada yada... All getting the same dead end road and never hearing from them again. I have sent numerous pictures. Customer service is garbage!!!

I was awaiting a perishable package of medication. The first fail was When the driver came by, he never knocked or rang my doorbell and simply left the "we missed you" slip. Second, I called UPS to have the package held and have my parents pick it up for me since I was in work and unable to easily leave. They told me that I was the only one allowed to pick it up. Explained that it was meds and perishable, and didn't want to let it sit till after work. I told them I would verify both mine and my parent's identity however they wanted and also explained that the doorbell was never even rung for delivery. Didn't care, no exceptions. I said fine, I'll find a way to pick it up in the morning.
Third problem, I checked in the morning and called, and was told that the package was again out for midday delivery despite me being at work and requesting to hold it. The whole reason for holding it and picking it up was because it was highly perishable meds, and I didn't want it to sit around or be on the truck for another day. So now I have to have my parents sit at my house for delivery so it can be put in the fridge asap. This whole experience has been inept and difficult.

If they don't know how to ship a letter on time, please don't promise anything, my friend used FedEx to deliver a package, and it took only two days to China, quicker than he was expected; USPS told me they are not able to delivered it in two days, they give away the profit to other company, they didn't disappoint me because they are much more honest than UPS. We used UPS to ship bone china from Canada to the US. The boxes arrived timely but they were smashed and broken. The contents that had been kept in mint condition for 50 years were had several broken pieces. A claim was submitted and pictures sent to itemize the damage. We bought insurance luckily but it took 1 1/2 months to get the replacement value of the items and then it was sent to the franchisee owner. Customer service does not communicate with the customer only saying it is in progress. It is poor that the customer has to do so much follow up on a claim when UPS was at fault. They need to look seriously at how they handle claims and most importantly how they handle their shipments.

UPS did not deliver yesterday as promised, and when I finally waded thru MyUPS site I found the driver had stated that he could not deliver due to needing a code to get in her apt complex. I called UPS customer service and had great difficulty speaking with a live rep, but finally did. She sent a message to the driver to go to the office or call my daughter's number to deliver, but she said there was no guarantee he would read it. HUH?
Just talked to my daughter who spoke with the office - they said office was manned all day and that NO UPS truck came yesterday, and that if he did UPS already has a key to get into the complex, they do so all the time, else come to the office. I thought as much, this isn't the first time UPS has delivered there. So this is pure bull. I am unhappy that the produce I sent here is likely very deteriorated and we had to go thru all this stress, just to be lied to. And MAYBE that driver will figure out how to deliver today, or maybe not. While the package rots in a hot truck with an expired ice pack. There is a serious flaw in their delivery system. Their web page and their customer service is not up to industry standards either. This is no way to do business. Going forward I will use FedEx or USPS.

Has a company ever forced you to sleep on the floor? Well, UPS forced me to sleep on the floor, and it was not fun. I ordered a Casper Mattress for the apartment I was going to be moving in to. I just moved and all of my stuff was being shipped across the country, so I did not have a mattress and Casper seemed like it would be a great new mattress for my new place. Casper sent the mattress UPS. The tracking number showed it was going to be delivered on a Tuesday. I was staying in a hotel since I had nothing and the new mattress was going to arrive on a Tuesday, so I checked out of my hotel on Tuesday expecting the mattress. The UPS delivery driver showed up and dropped off two boxes...but the issue is that it was only the pillow and sheets. No mattress.
I called the UPS 1800 number and spoke with someone who said they were unable to deliver any packages to my address due to a "special event"... Oddly enough I was at the apartment all day AND received two packages from UPS already. There were no special events going on. They made it up to try and gloss over the fact I did not receive my package. But I needed my package, so I called them back.
So, I spoke with the supervisor and he advised me to call the local UPS location. The local UPS location said they forgot to load the package on the truck when they sent it out and weren't sure where the package was anymore. I told them I really needed the package because I did not want to sleep on the floor. They said they would look around and try and find the package. Well...they looked around and never called me back. So I called the 1800 number again and was told by the supervisor "well, you need to sleep on the floor because there is nothing we can do for you. There is no way you are getting your package. You can call back tomorrow". Keep in mind, this was about 3 hours worth of being on the phone trying to get someone to help me.
The rep at the local UPS location was extremely unprofessional and said that he had no interest in helping me, and that there were other customers he had to assist, and hung up. I called back several more times, pleading with them that I needed the package otherwise I would be forced to sleep on the floor. They all said "we understand, but we can not help". I can earnestly say I am never going to use UPS again. When you are going to ship a package and you start to google a place to ship packages around you and see a UPS store is closer than a FedEx store or the post office...please remember this post and choose any other option besides UPS. I am going to have to sleep on the floor tonight because the UPS customer service has no ability to help and no willingness to go above and beyond.

Considering UPS’s business is delivery, it is way behind what even basic mom and pop shops can offer for delivery tracking. You are forced to wait all day for a delivery because they can’t tell you a reasonable time frame at any point during the day of delivery. I was told the morning of the day it was to arrive that it would arrive between 9 and 12. It did not arrive. I was then told that this was just an estimate and then told it would be between 2 and 5. UPS offers no GPS tracking.
Customer service says that they cannot make outbound calls to the depot and that the drivers do not have phones and therefore even after missing the time projected they can not even call you an hour before delivery time. I’ve communicated to Amazon that I will cancel any future product order that uses UPS to deliver the products. I cannot be at home waiting all day for deliveries from UPS. The Locker was in a high traffic location, hard to see from the main road, and requires me to leave my car to use the terminal. I felt totally unsafe and vulnerable to carjacking, theft, and abduction. This location is also near a high accident intersection of 3 major highways, making it very difficult to exit safely. As much as I wish I could type the whole story here, I’ll do my best to keep it brief, but yes, I had a UPS supervisor at their customer service desk say “you’re a **“ and swing his hand at my face, which resulted in my calling the sheriff and filing a report against the supervisor. Here’s the short of it. Like many people on here, I get the whole “package can’t be delivered” notification EVERY time for over two years. Most of the time, they say they need a gate code. One time, they said my street doesn’t exist (it’s a major 4 lane street in Honolulu, and it was spelled correctly). Trouble is, I’ve provided them the gate code over a dozen times, 4 different ways, every time because I get the same delivery exception notice that they don’t have it. I’ve provided it through the MyUPS app on iPhone, in person at their main Honolulu hub, over the phone to a local rep, and countless times to 1-800 representatives.
Every time, I’m told they’ve added it, and every time, I get the same problem. So yesterday (8/23/18), package was due for delivery. I was on my lanai when the driver pulled up. I watched him retrieve my package from the back of the truck, and as I was about to go down to the street to meet him and get it, I hear and see him start to drive away. About 5 minutes later, I get the delivery exception notification that he needed a gate code. Except, this time, the gate was OPEN (aside from having given the code so many times as previously mentioned). So since my phone was in my hand, I quickly snapped a photo of him driving away and that the gate was open, so when I got the notification, I had photo evidence that the driver lied. I am so fed up, I immediately drove to the main hub and demanded to speak to a supervisor named “Ken”, who from the get-go was very smug in his speech, expressions, and body language.
I told him of the repeated issues, and that this time, I got a photo of it. I show him the photo. He asks for my tracking number, which I provided, He said “there’s no gate code provided”, I’m angry at this point and tell him that’s ridiculous, and I’ve already given it a dozen times, that his telling me it isn’t on file just proves my point yet again. He then started to blame me that I’ve never given it. Taken aback, I asked if he really just blamed me, the customer. He then said, “well I’m telling you there’s no code on file”. I asked him, "Who to blame for all this?" He said “the system.” I asked, "Whose system is it and who created it," he replied “UPS”, and I told him, “Then UPS is to blame and you still haven’t offered a single solution to fix the problem”. At this point, Ken, the supervisor, lunged at the counter and threw a hand at my face. He yelled “You’re a **“, “I’m not going to ** help you, this is why I hate customers and shouldn’t deal with them”.
Because he threw his hand at me, I called the sheriff (this is at the airport, so it is their jurisdiction, not the police). While on the phone, they can hear him continuing to yell at me in the background. I hang up when told they’re sending a deputy. I turn and tell Ken, "The sheriff is on their way, I’m waiting outside until they arrive." He said “you started it man”. I told him that I didn’t do anything but come here with a problem and a complaint, and that I’m sure any camera footage will show that. He replied that there are no cameras and at this point, two other workers (office type, not in uniforms), came and took Ken out of the customer service area. It appeared a female counter clerk had notified them to come get him. I filed the sheriff report and left, still with the issue unresolved. Today I’m notified it’s out for delivery again. I go into the myUPS app, delete and REenter my gate code again.
Then I call the 800 number, she says there’s no gate code on my profile. She connects me to the local hub again and I explain it all again (for the millionth time), and she says she’ll notify the driver of the code. I’m taking no chances. I’ve bungeed the gate open today. I’ve place a large sign on the gate for all my neighbors saying that because UPS can’t fix their problem, please leave the gate open. Now let’s see how it pans out today. I’ve literally called Amazon and requested they never use UPS. They said that they don’t have that option. So I’ve learned two things, one, if I go with standard shipping or overnight, Amazon doesn’t use UPS to Honolulu, so I’ll only use those shipping options.
Second, the moment I see a package was shipped via UPS, I will cancel the order and return to sender. And since Amazon will refund the delivery charge for the expedited shipping if I do it before I get it, it’ll cost them. And then maybe they’ll learn. I’ll let my wallet do the talking. Like many others, I cringe when I see UPS as the delivery method. There used to be an ad “What can brown do for you”... the only thing brown can do for me, is go out of business and leave delivery service to the professionals that get it right.

Like you can't even at least come up and knock and let me know that you have left it. Or even show up for that matter. I seen on other sites where drivers are posting replies to other people's comments complaining about how bad they are, threatening to damage and get back at people for complaining. Who monitors all this and why hasn't the company done anything about this. They brag about how much they earn and yet can't do the job they are hired to do. It's just sad.

My experience with FedEx was simple and efficient. I didn't think that there would be much of a difference between the two companies, but boy was I wrong.
First off, I had to pay $87.00 USD to have my package shipped overnight from Oregon to Washington and back. This was more expensive than when I shipped a package to Seoul. I decided to pay because I didn't want to inconvenience the friend that I was running errands with that day. I expected that if I paid for this service, that they would be able to deliver the package on time.
They were not only a day late on the way there, but they are also late on the way back. People don't overnight packages when they have spare time. I feel like they don't respect their customers when they take their money, but DO NOT DELIVER THE SERVICES THAT THEY PROMISE. A delivery attempt was NEVER made, nobody buzzed me or knocked on my door or even called my phone, and there's never a delivery notice left.
I call UPS and they don't deny it, they just tell me "the parcel will be delivered tomorrow"... which means I have to take another day off work waiting for UPS AGAIN. The next the package may or may not come, depending on how lazy the delivery person is. I absolutely HATE UPS and cringe every time they have to deliver something. From now on, I'm going to check first to see how the merchant ships their goods and if they use UPS, I will not buy from that merchant because UPS is AWFUL.

I ordered an item from HSN. I swore that I would no longer anything from any company that used UPS for its shipping. I would pay more for FedEx or the USPS. Why? Because I need someone reliable who will treat my package well and deliver it to its destination.
My package was set to be delivered yesterday. I got several emails the day before confirming this. On the day it was to be delivered, I stayed home the entire day -- I sat in my living room from 3-7 pm, the hours they were due to come. No one ever came, but my phone buzzed and I got a text saying that "an attempt was made to deliver a package." That is a blatant lie. An attempt was never made. I received no notice on my mailbox or door, I did not receive the door handlers they stick on your door when they come and you're not home -- nothing. I had nothing. Others in the main building received notices on their doors but I did not. The driver didn't even TRY to deliver.
Today I got another email saying: "Hi Sandra! Your package is being delivered today!" I checked tracking online and got a completely different story (as has happened ad nauseum in the past). It said my package was on its way to the "Access Point" to another place in other words. I would have to go and pick up my package or wait days for them to redeliver. This is the kind of crap they pull and they don't do it once, twice, thrice, but over and over and over and over again. I took a chance and went against my convictions to stop dealing with companies who deal with UPS and gave it one last try -- and look at the crap I'm swimming in. So the package was on the truck yesterday... here at my address. The driver was too lazy to go to the other side of the building to deliver mine or maybe s/he was running late so no attempt was made to deliver.
Today the package is "on its way" to the Access Point which is a block away. My options are pick it up when and if it ever gets there, or wait until Friday for redelivery (like I'm going to trust that again). UPS keeps telling me where my package ISN'T, but they can't tell me where my package IS. If you want an honest, educated opinion, boycott them. Their practices are not consumer friendly. Go with FedEx or even the USPS. I wouldn't trust them no matter what, ever again. You know how it goes... "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice... shame on me."

Package never arrived. Tracking number states package was delivered. Called UPS. They admitted that the package was delivered to the wrong address. I was told I had to contact the vendor and let them know that UPS delivered to the wrong address. When I told them it was their mistake and they needed to contact the vendor, they refused to be of any help.

Worse place ever. My package was supposed be here yesterday. Delivery guys comes to my house, looks twice for my package and says from across the street because he couldn’t even come to my door says if he finds it he would bring it back. He never calls it in to see who has it. We were promised a certain time. Didn’t happen. Then they lie to us that the address is wrong when we had a delivery man at our home... can’t even speak to the local UPS. Now we have to wait even longer for our package... can’t even talk to supervisors. This is ridiculous and they don’t even care!!!

This is the 3rd time UPS claimed it couldn't find my house to make a delivery. USPS and FedEx have no problem AND some UPS drivers have delivered here. The current driver for our route doesn't do his job!! The first time he delivered our item to the wrong place and marked it delivered. It was my husband's school books and he didn't get them until a week into class and then only because we hunted and found where they'd been delivered and went and they still had them!!! The second time they said we needed to come to the main UPS hub and pick up our package since the driver couldn't find our house!! So we did.
This time after two 'undeliverable' attempts they asked us to come get them and it made me angry! Why am I paying them for shipping if I need to do part of the job! So I said NO. You deliver them. So another day passed and we got another notice of failed delivery. We called Amazon and UPS yet again. All told we've called them each 4 times and have spent almost 3 hours on the phone giving directions and our phone numbers. We have yet to be called by the driver!!!
Today we found one of our packages had been delivered to an old address from where we moved over 4 months ago!!! So we went and picked it up! Wow!!! This evening we are awaiting the delivery of another 'undeliverable' item... I have given them all the information, what streets to drive on and where to turn... And MY PHONE # to CALL for more help!!! Unbelievable!! And we're paying them!! I have pictures of where they CHANGED my delivery address WITHOUT my permission!!!

A UPS driver broke our glass door yesterday morning by resting a 40 pound package against it, causing it to shatter. He proceeded to retrieve the package and re-delivered it around 4 PM to make it seem like he wasn't the one who broke the door. My neighbor two doors down witnessed the event and texted me. I contacted UPS at (800) 742-5877 to file a claim against our driver. A manager spoke with me and told me they would GPS track their truck and return my call within 24 hours. I have not received a reply and it is the next day.
I have called the number over 8 times and been told each time a manager would return my call within an hour, and they never have. They won't tell me the name or contact info of the branch manager, or serve as help in any way. We will have to replace this glass door on the property we are renting. It could cost up to $500. I have gotten in contact with a lawyer to draft a formal letter of complaint. I will never be using UPS again, and I find their dishonesty disgusting.

My experience with UPS has not been good. Multiple times my package has not been pick-up or delivered. Have to wait on hold (for 13 minutes) to speak with a manager only to get lip service. They tell you what you want to hear. I was told by a manager the driver will make a second attempt to delivered the package to find out the next day there was never a second attempt. I was told I would get a follow-up phone and yet again I was lied to because there was not a follow-up call. UPS IS NOT RELIABLE.
