Twice so far my packages have been delivered to the wrong house, the 1st time the people brought me the package since it's the next street over. The 2nd time the driver didn't even check to see if he was on the right street or the right people. And my package was sent back. Who knows when I see get my package now. This is all within the past 2 months. Last year twice I got their packages.

We've been living in the same house for a year now, and for a year now, without fail, UPS delivers all our packages not to our house (FedEx and even USPS for crying out loud have zero issues coming to the house, mind you, so it's clearly not impossible), but to a frickin barn at a frickin winery a mile away from where we actually live. We started just checking the barn on our way home from anywhere if we got a delivery notification, since UPS couldn't seem to figure out where we actually live. So eventually, fed up with the whole scenario, I call customer service. I get bounced around from person to person, and they all tell me the same thing: "Sorry, nothing we can do. Don't know why that's happening." I have an important package coming, so I call again with the tracking number handy.
They tell me "that sucks, sorry that keeps happening, we'll just have to see where the driver leaves it." How is that an answer? I asked if there's anyway to ensure deliveries actually make it to our residence, and they told me the same thing: "Sorry, just have to see where the driver takes it, nothing we can do." I am beyond frustrated. I don't know if I should be mad at the customer service, the driver, or just the company in general, but I am mad. I am never using UPS again if I can help it. And if there is ever another shipping option available for online shopping, even if the shipping is more expensive, I am choosing literally anything other than UPS.

UPS has lost 2 of my packages in as many months. The orders came from Amazon and made it into the UPS system. I could track it then it just stopped getting updates. Calling UPS they just apologize, I am sure that is all the operator can do. But just thinking if I have had 2 lost how many others have the same problem.

One star is the lowest I could give UPS here but If I could give no stars I would. Express Scripts shipped, and I paid extra for 2 day air, a prescription that I could not be without for more than one day. I allowed enough time, but UPS lost the shipment, did not notify me until we forced them to admit they lost it. UPS, after a week, is still looking for the shipment. Yes, Express Scripts credited me and resent but I will have to use another source to make sure I get it on time. I will never, ever again elect to use UPS if I have the option. They are horrible and their customer service is beyond horrible.

I received a package at my home for my daughter, who does not live here anymore. I called UPS for a quote. I gave them the tracking number, so they had the weight and dimensions. The cost was $14.60 and charged to my credit card. She told me the driver would be at my home before 10AM the next day and he would bring a label. He arrived at 5PM, with no label. He promised to bring a receipt the next day. Never saw him again. Then we receive a bill for $42.18. I called UPS and they explained that was the additional amount we owed, so in total over $64.00. The customer service rep deducted some of the cost but charged me $25.77, in total three times what I was quoted on the phone in the beginning. Poor quality of service by UPS employees; you have just lost a customer.

I had a business, retail package that was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday. It didn't show up. I called them on Wednesday and she promised it would be delivered on Thursday, surprise, surprise.... It didn't show up. I called on Friday and they said someone would call me within the hour, I waited three hours and called again. Finally, a manager called me back and promised it would be delivered on Saturday. Guess what? No package. Now they are saying Monday....Really? I had a customer waiting on something in that delivery. UPS is the worst. This is not the first time I have experienced horrible customer service.

I had items packaged today at a UPS store. But after packaging, the clerk scanned the package as being shipped, unbeknownst to me. Not knowing this, I called UPS and requested a pickup from my house, and paid the pickup charge. When I went to UPS and entered the tracking number of the label that was sent to me, it said "In transit." I never even shipped it....just scheduled it for a pickup. When I called UPS again, and said that I had scheduled for pickup, they knew absolutely nothing about the scheduled pickup, and all they could tell me was what was on the screen as "In transit."
I told them that the package was sitting right in front of me, and had not even been shipped...only packed. I spent the rest of the day trying to convince them that I wanted the package picked up....NOT shipped. Even sent them the pickup receipt from earlier in the day, to no avail. I finally got them to cancel their transaction altogether, and had to call the local UPS center to tell them I had a package ready to be picked up, and they notified dispatch. They almost had me in tears, I was so mad. Fedex from now on!!

Is there a zero stars option? Ordered a foam mattress, bed frame and sheets from Endy. Sheets arrive on time but driver tells me he won't deliver the mattress and frame because they exceed the weight limit (they're both about 40lbs lighter than the limit!). Funny how they made it all the way from another province but the driver can decide they're too heavy? After multiple calls to UPS, they promise to deliver the next day (as we can all just afford to stay home from work for days on end, can't we?). Stuck at home until 9pm and nothing. Tracking info still says "Out for delivery". Nobody at UPS can tell me anything other than to read back to me the useless "info" on the website. WTF is wrong with this company? Never ever again will I use UPS. If it's my only choice, I will just not order.

Best advice: ship with someone else. I shipped a package from Mpls. to Billings June 16th. Went online to check tracking. Stated "Out for Delivery". Was never delivered. It was thrown out. Thrown out. What! They claim it was leaking, and upon further investigation there was balsamic vinegar soaking the package, and everything needed to be thrown. Customer service actually told me the bottle broke leaving glass in the package so they had to throw it due to safety concerns. How the h-ll did it get that smashed???
Full disclosure: I did ship balsamic as part of the contents. But, I also bubble wrapped the crap out of the contents. Taped the box securely. Added extra insurance. So now the extra insurance I purchased on the contents is invalid because they are saying it was improperly packaged. I say they mishandled the package, leading to a crushed package that leaked. Either way I am screwed because they threw it out. No pictures. No package. No evidence. I can say I packaged it properly, but there is no way to prove it.
I shipped it from a UPS store near me.... If there were questions about how it was packaged why wasn't that brought up? They have been NO help. It is a she said/he said. What has been extremely frustrating is not once did UPS call me. Not to notify me of the package being damaged. Or thrown. Or the claim denied. I am pulling my hair out. Stay away from UPS- they do not stand behind their product or their customers!

I've been waiting on a mattress to be delivered since Friday. On Friday, at 9:20am I get a notification Out for Delivery, following a notification at 9:22am that my apartment number was missing...causing delay. I logged into my UPS account to correct the address at 9:32am which by the way showed my address correctly and my apartment number. Re-typed the same information correctly & saved. Today at 1:59pm I get a notification that a Delivery Attempt was made. I work from home & have been available since 8am. No doorbell ring, knock, or delivery slip left. I have low expectations every time I have a delivery coming via UPS. I was informed nothing could be done with getting the delivery driver back this way until tomorrow. Unfortunately, due to it being a direct shipment picking up from a facility is not an option.

Worst experience. Not sure how their competition fairs against them but I can tell you I will take my chances. Told them from the beginning that it was a return and and in every correspondence thereafter. They follow up with you as long as they see fit. Did not respond to my emails. They hung up the phone on me and would not resolve the issue that their retail outlet caused. They wanted warehouse fees for storing the item because it was held up by customs because of their failure to document that it was a return. Told me to pay now so they would release the item and it would take 8 weeks for them to return the fees. Will never do business again.

I was in Vegas on Father’s Day visiting with my son. He and his wife bought me several antique road signs and old license plates. I took them to local UPS store and had them shipped to my home in New Market, TN. A few days after we arrived home, the package came. It was clearly opened on end slit with a sharp object just big enough to get one of the signs out. I say one because that’s what’s missing. The sign was purchased from a private owner for $60 off of FB Marketplace. The license tags were still in the box. If the bigger sign had “fell” out, the license plates would have fell out also.
Upon reporting to the UPS store, the guy was very nice and filled out the form. We didn’t hear anything for a couple of weeks so I wrote the store again. He told me they didn’t find the sign and are awaiting a verdict as to whether they are going to pay. So beware of any promises UPS make, your merchandise may not be secure as you think. Still waiting on the “verdict”. James **

He decides to walk past that and just throw the package on the garage floor and walk away and I'm really pissed about it and I don't appreciate that and it was really stupid. If my garage door was closed where would he have put that package? In the middle of the ground? In the middle of the driveway? Since when packages aren't deliver at your front or side door? Updated on 08/22/2019: This store and UPS corporate both clearly stated that if the box was picked up at the empty apartment where it was wrongly delivered and the apartment management refused delivery, they would pick up the box and send it on. To date seven weeks after they made those statements and were told the apartment was refusing delivery, the box is still waiting for UPS to pick it up. No one at the apartment complex can apparently take it to be shipped. Thus for all purposes the incompetence and deceit on the part of UPS has defrauded my son out of $500 worth of merchandise.
Original Review: Worst service EVER! My son was moving from NAS Pensacola to the Navy base in Norfolk with a 10 day stop here in NC between duty stations. He made the mistake of shipping four packages from the UPS store on Bayou Blvd. in Pensacola to my address here in NC. The store in Pensacola made the labels and he was not given the opportunity to see them. One of the four packages they labeled such that it was shipped back to his empty apartment 2 miles from their store. They are unwilling to even attempt to get that package back or to make any restitution for the contents, claiming that it was his fault that their employee made the mislabel, refused to let him review the label, and no one even bothered to question why someone would ship something 2 miles away from their store.
BTW, the shipping paid was the same amount for that box delivered to an address 2 miles away as it was for each of the the other three boxes delivered in Cary, NC. We will be recommending to all his military contacts they they refrain from using UPS for packages - especially the store in Pensacola. Repeated attempts to contact them by both my son and myself have been met with rude responses and a complete unwillingness to make any attempt to correct THEIR employee's error. They are obviously unable to follow simple directions!

Today, after the shipper resent the package, I received a notice that they could not find my address. Why?

We were expecting an International shipment to our offices in Mississauga, ON. I was aware of the customs I had to pay. I talked to their customer care and informed that I was ready with my payment card to pay at door and everything. The driver came and without talking to me took the parcel back to their dispatch center. I called customer care and they said it was some misunderstanding, they will put a note to clarify for next attempts. The driver did not show up at all and in online tracking I saw same note saying, "They were unable to collect funds." I talked to customer care again, paid my dues to remove the obstacle. Next day, exact same scenario repeated as final delivery attempt. I called customer care again. They were unable to locate the funds I paid two days ago for customs. They contacted their broker and clarified about my payment. Now they are just apologizing and saying they will try one more time to deliver.

They are awful. I was expecting a package on 7/5/19 and I had to sign for it. They came at 6:15 PM and I had to leave at 6:00. Had I known they were going to be there at that time, I could have changed my plans and received my package. Instead, they left me a "Sorry we missed you..." slip saying they would deliver my package on Saturday, 7/6. I waited the whole day for the package. I called for an update and all I got was "It will be delivered today". It is now 10:02 PM ET and I called UPS Customer Service. All I got was lip service. Finally she said that it was too late and what does she want me to do about it. How rude. UPS doesn't even have a tracking app to let you know where your package is or a window in which you should be expecting it. SO RUN - Use FedEx. At least they have their act together. UPS should get out of the delivery business and find something else to do.

Never on time. UPS is the only delivery service that I have ever experienced issues with, and I experience these issue each time they are utilized. If you order a package to be shipped to a location on a specific day and are not there to pick it up, rather than leave the package or have an option to leave the package at a door, the driver will instead leave a "Sorry we missed you..." note that says your package will be delivered at an alternate location.
HOWEVER, that does not mean that they will instead deliver the package to the nearest UPS Pickup Location during the same day. I have consistently had to wait one or more days for my package to then be available at the UPS Pickup Point. Additionally, the tracking system is unhelpful, often giving vague "package will be delivered by end of day" statuses.
If I pay to have my package delivered to my door on a certain date, it should be ready at my door. If not that, then it should be ready at an alternate location at the very least. UPS does neither of these things. My latest package won't be available for a full three business days after the original delivery date. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

Well UPS you have officially ruined my morning. I just recently moved to a condo which doesn’t have a package delivery locker and is gated so we cannot receive packages unless we’re home. With glee I discovered the UPS locker system and became really excited because I could now have packages delivered with my convenience. Well that’s what I thought. I went to pick up my package today and my address didn’t match the address on the package, no big deal, I’ll give them a call and it’ll all be handled.
The support center told me that without my proper government id I could not receive my package and it’ll sit there for 5 days until reshipped to my original address in which I wouldn’t be home because I work during the day and then places at a store to go through this all again due to my Id not being updated. I pleaded with them, I have updated mail that verifies who I am, I have the tracking information and the email with the bar code on it. They wouldn’t budge. Now I’m irritated as I want my package and don’t want it to sit in a locker in this Texas heat. I call and call and call until finally I get a competent agent whom advises me to bring my social, marriage certificate and updated mail and they will help me. Good lord! I now have my package but I will FOREVER avoid using UPS AT ALL COST. I’m so annoyed and disappointed.

Told to call 3 different numbers - spoke to different people all saying they'd call back in an hour - none did! Finally one representative genuinely cared but still no call back. Another was so rude - he lied to me then put me on hold with music and I finally had to hang up. Working at UPS must be infinitely harder than brain surgery... At least that's the vibe I get every time I'm stuck waiting for them to actually do their jobs. It happens every time: I realize the shipper's going to screw me with UPS shipping, so I pay for expedited shipping because I know I'll never see my package if I don't. Tracking numbers show my orders sitting in a UPS warehouse for 2-4 days, presumably waiting on the employees there to stop twiddling their thumbs or huffing spray paint long enough to function as adults for a bit, which nullifies my two days every single time. Upon arrival there's no apology nor refund for the breach of contract that comes with delivering a package far later than what should have been guaranteed by the higher price. There is only disappointment with a company that's been around long enough to figure out how to do all of this right, yet still hasn't and likely never will.
Bottom line: UPS is the Comcast of the shipping industry. Sometimes I wish incompetence to this degree would be made illegal, just so I could watch people that get paid more than me for what amounts to the quality of work typically produced by second graders and ** heads get locked up and fed prison Jell-O. However, since that will never happen, I strongly recommend that you, the reader, do everything you can to avoid having to wait on UPS to pick all the snot from its collection of noses before handling your shipments. If you're dealing with private sellers, insist that they use a different provider. If you have the option to get 3-7 day standard shipping from USPS, go with it- that's how long you'd be waiting on UPS to make a two-day, next-day, or overnight delivery anyways, and it won't cost you the promise of your first-born child to actually get something delivered on time.

UPS, I have to say that I am very disappointed with the customer service that you have set up in the Greater Toronto Area. I paid my brokerage and import fees online Friday morning so that my package could be delivered (as scheduled) that day. The package was not left at my door as the drivers typically don't like to leave parcels. They have before, so I'm not sure why this driver in particular didn't. I called UPS and explained my issue. The customer service agent told me to write my name on the back of the delivery notice and attach it to my door, showing that I hereby give the driver permission to leave the package on my doorstep. So I did. Sadly, you don't deliver on weekends in Ontario (not sure about the rest of Canada's regulations), so I am already waiting until Monday for my parcel. But I have faith that it will come. It doesn't.
Monday rolls around and this time the package isn't delivered because the driver is checking off that I haven't paid the brokerage fee. Which I have. So I call UPS customer service again. They advice me to sign the back of THAT slip too and tape it to the door. So I do. Which brings me to today. Conveniently, someone in my family was home for part of the day and was able to meet the driver at the door for my parcel. But imagine my surprise when the driver tells my family member that I still haven't paid the brokerage fee (EVEN THOUGH I HAVE!). Ridiculous! My family member tried to argue that I had, but the driver insisted that they pay. When my family member said they only had cash on them, the driver said he couldn't take cash and drove away.
So for the third time in three business days, I call UPS customer service. And I am understandably livid. I shouldn't have paid extra for fast shipping if I had to deal with this run-around behaviour. The customer service agent today looks into my file, confirms that I have paid the brokerage fee, and says they tried contacting my driver to tell him to deliver my package today. But they can't reach him or explain he's turned off his cell phone. They forward me to official dispatch, who tell me that they also try and contact the driver but can't. They assure me that my package will be delivered by 4:45 pm TODAY.
They also add that they will give me a courtesy call within the hour to confirm that I do want the package delivered today "no matter what". Then they hang up. I wait until my lunch break is over, which gives UPS 1.5 hours of a timeframe to call me back. They don't. And when I get home tonight at midnight, after a very long day and evening, there is no package on my doorstep.
I can confidently say that this has been the worst experience with customer service and a delivery company in my life. I was really looking forward to this delivery and now it's been delayed and delayed, all because a driver has been given or is accessing misinformation, and customer service cannot contact him. Get yourself together, UPS! (Oh, and by the way, none of the invoice numbers on my packing slips were registered either and the digital customer service assistant kept telling me that my package hadn't been shipped yet... Well, obviously it has if I'm getting an invoice delivery notice saying "Sorry, we missed you!"
To be quite frank, I will never use UPS again if I can help it. Absolutely ridiculous and it is now 3 business days after I was supposed to receive my "express" package. Shame on your customer service team for hanging up and not trying to do more for the customer's needs. My package had better arrive tomorrow... I'm tired of waiting and fearful of it being sent back for lack of delivery. I don't pay my hard-earned money on product just so that it can drive all around the GTA because a driver and a customer service team can't communicate effectively. Ridiculous and upsetting.

I am usually a big fan of UPS -- polite drivers, delivery on time and undamaged. Maybe that's because most of what I receive from UPS is not time critical. But on this day, I'm about to pull out my hair. As a small business, our single copier is critical to our business. Our copier provider sent a toner waste cartridge on Friday. (As you know, if the toner waste cartridge is full, no copies or printing can be done, no receiving faxes, etc.) Monday at noon, I still had no package. Sender said that their UPS tracking didn't give details about where package was. I went online to track package, and the system stopped tracking before "delivery" with no explanation about any problems.
I tried to call to get more details (good luck with that!?!) and was told by a computer voice I could pick up the package Monday evening, but that I would receive a call within an hour to verify that I could pick it up. No one called me to tell me the package was where I could pick it up. Went online this morning to try to pick it up early today --- guess what? It's on a truck for delivery "sometime today before 8 pm" even though the tracking info now clearly says that "customer will pick up." Arrggghhh! So I am a small business into Day 3 with no printer, copier -- and no ability to talk to anyone at UPS other than a robo-system that "is experiencing technical difficulties today. Please call again later."

I signed up for a UPS business account for shipping of raw materials for my business. The experience has been one disaster after another, all of the way to the invoicing of the shipment. Invoices are sent via paper and in my case, the invoice never arrived. When I went online, my balance was showing as current/$0.00 owed. Yet I received a paper bill for a late payment fee. I had to call 4 different departments and was on the phone with UPS for 1.5 hours and my issue still isn't resolved. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that each department had their own manager and that no one person had insight or oversight of the whole process. I am closing my account with UPS and will find another carrier who understands their business processes and offers customer service that actually results in a resolution. Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!!

We wanted to import a small package of 8 lbs from Germany to the US. UPS charged 100 USD for keeping our package of 8 lbs in a warehouse for 5 days because it was on hold for FDA release. All the documents and FDA numbers were provided together with the paperwork. They told me that it is no matter how big your package is. They charge 20 USD per day for 1 lb or for 80 lbs. They don't care. The value of the shipment was 100 USD but at the end it was more than double the price because UPS has these high additional costs. They want to take advantage of FDA and customs issues. This is definitely a no go! I am very unsatisfied with this service!

I ordered something from U.S.A. to be delivered in the UK. I payed $130 for delivery plus additional 102GBP for taxes and custom fees. That's not the issue here. The problem is that I called ahead to schedule a delivery and pay my taxes and we end up scheduling the delivery for next day in the morning. So I took off work for a few hours as I was waiting to receive my parcel.. I was ready the whole morning for someone to contact me. No email, no phone call, no ring bell nothing. Then I go online and I see that there was a failed attempt to deliver made. What?
They could have called me, emailed me, they could have ring my room from the front gate, or they could have gone to the reception and have them contact me. ZERO!! They did none of those things. Then when I call them they have the nerve to tell me with a straight face to go pick it up from their store. Are you crazy? Would you pay an additional 25GBP for an UBER to go back and forth and pick it up when you already pay that amount of money for delivery? That beats the whole purpose of delivery. I think it's disgusting and not professional. What a shame.

I cannot believe the terrible service I've received and the stress I've been through because of UPS. I called them on June 18 to let them know that I needed my shipment to be held and delivered after July 1st as I had not moved in yet to the delivery address (items bought on Best Buy that told me that I could pick any day for delivery, which was not true). Their agent tracked my shipment but told me that he could not change the delivery date at that time as the items were currently being labeled. I stressed the urgency of the situation, telling him I don't live at that place yet, and could not afford to notify them of the change too late. He told me it's never too late as the driver can be notified at any time of the change. Delivery was not scheduled until June 25-27, so I had time to call them back and make the change.
Today (June 19) I received an email notification that the items had been delivered!! I totally panicked not knowing what had happened to my items. I had ordered 2 pieces of furniture, not just some small cheap item. Let me tell you what happened. The items were taken to the address where I don't live in (despite my communication with their agent less than 24h before), the current tenant not sure about what was going opened the door for them and they dumped the furniture at the lobby and then just left before he even had a chance to go downstairs and talk to them. Luckily for me he was kind enough to agree to keep the furniture in his apartment until I move in.
Then the 2 of us had to transport more than 80 lbs up to the 4th floor (no elevator in the building), risking to actually being injured, as the building management does not allow items left in the lobby. This is the most outrageous thing that has happened to me and I'm taking this complaint to the highest level possible as well as posting on all available forums.

UPS brokers services is useless. Most service representative can't speak English properly, so you can't understand what they are says. If you ask simple questions, like how long they hold a package before returning to sender, the answer is "I can't tell you that". If you ask them to look up package being held, but you don't have the package number (because their voicemail was left with such a heavy accent that you can't understand it), they say too bad.

I am a professional artist and I made the mistake of using UPS to ship a painting to a customer. I asked that it be packed carefully and the corners double wrapped, but they did not pack it properly and it arrived damaged. Despite the near $400 that I spent on insurance, they are now saying they need to inspect the packing materials in order for us to make a claim. I made the point that even had it been packaged properly, they clearly damaged it anyway in the shipping.
It is a scam that they charge so much for the insurance, and then refuse to pay anything when they damage the item. That is the reason I bought the insurance in the first place, and when I brought it to the UPS store I said I was worried about the edges and corners being damaged. No one bothered saying that we would need to keep the packing materials in case they were, in order to make a claim. I will not be using UPS in the future, and I will make sure to spread the word that they are incompetent, unprofessional, and deceitful.

Since I paid for Two Day Air, there was no need for a Saturday delivery if they had delivered it on time. They have no interest in helping their customers with situations that were created by UPS incompetence. I tried talking to the driver supervisor at the local distribution center, but will never do that again. She was the rudest person I have ever encountered.... extremely unprofessional.
A few months ago I found the business card of the manager of that location in my mailbox. That violated federal law. The gate does not reduce the width of my driveway and in no way prevents the delivery trucks from reaching my house since they have the keypad code to open it. It opens automatically for exit. I wish you could give negative reviews. My 74y/o father was being scammed and sent money through UPS in a plain envelope from the bank stuffed with money. He brought it to UPS and told them it was picture frames. Now I say "he" did this, but really the scammers told him to. So UPS sent the packages. As soon as I found out I spent the weekend calling UPS 20+ times to stop the delivery of the packages. Tracking them with the code. It got to the point of when I called the service line and gave the tracking code the response I got was "We are aware this package is part of a fraud and should be sent back."
So come Monday morning, I again frantically called UPS to make sure they were sending the packages back. I was successfully able to stop the delivery of the packages. I got a call from a supervisor informing me they have the packages and were sending them back. A couple of days go by, and I call to inquire about the packages, they then tell me there was some confusion. So.... in the end, my Dad lost a big chunk of his pension. Even though every time I was on the phone with UPS I said to them the packages were part of a fraud scheme. All I've gotten from UPS is, we're so sorry, the packages shouldn't have been delivered. We don't know what happened. That's it. No one of importance will follow up with us. It's so frustrating. If I had money I would sue them because it's obvious UPS is part of a fraud scam. They should be held liable for everything they've cost our family.

And according to them I agreed to it (I DID NOT). Anyway the worse part of the situation is that after calling them to find out what was happening, I was told that the package was left at a facility that was 1 hour away from where I lived & I had to go there to pick my package up - which I decided I was not going to do because they were paid for delivery to my home!

I called UPS Customer Service (888) 742-5877 on Monday June 3, 2019 approximately 12:00 p.m./noon and spoke with representative "Selena" (my phone records can validate) concerning a delivery in transit to me associated with an EBAY purchase, that the seller had made 2 mistakes in my address and was not responding to my contact attempts for corrections to be made, so I decided to do so myself. "Selena" proceeded to tell me my package was "undeliverable" since there was more than 1 change which was all I was allowed to change. I explained that 1 change could suffice and that the second was just an extra precaution of my just wanting a phone number included with the address to avoid any issues with delivery but if the 1 actual error needed change was made the delivery should be successful.
No matter how many times I attempted to say 1 change would be appreciated and solve my reason for contact "Selena" repeated the package was "undeliverable" and that I was not "listening to her". After at least 5 times of this being repeated she told me she could put a supervisor on to tell me the same since I was "not hearing what she had clearly explained several times now". I agreed that I would be glad to speak to someone else concerning my "only 1 change needed". I was put on hold for well over 13 minutes at which time I chose to hang up and see if I could do anything within the site since I did sign up for "UPS Choice" privileges when tracking a previous delivery.
The site was so confusing and just took me in a maze only leading me thru ongoing descriptions of services offered for all types of alterations that can be made but never found where I could actually initiate none, so again I was back at entering the tracking number for at least the 10th time when I find that at 12:17 p.m. "my delivery had been intercepted for return by the sender"! I was put on hold by "Selena" at about 12:17 p.m.?
I am at a loss of belief that this has happened and just wandering if they can determine exactly who within their system actually handled my call and if "Selena" can be held accountable for the change if the seller follows-up with affirmation that she did not make that return request, in addition to my phone records validation it was myself on the phone communication with them at the time the "very suspicious intercept" occurred and only the sender can make a return interception with information only they have as the sender.
When I attempted with a following call to ask these questions myself I was treated with the same "helpful attitude" as experienced from "Selena". One last addition, the "intercept" adds a charge of $10.00 to the delivery costs regardless of who/where the package gets delivered now (which also assures me the seller would not have wanted to assume along with not having to refund me for an undelivered purchase). I know a "lesson was learned" from this experience by me as far as carriers of my future shipping/delivery preferences will be specifically noted "DO NOT USE"!

I've had multiple packages missing items. One example is two motorcycle tires I ordered. It was clear two were shipped by the package yet only one arrived. I had taken off for the day so I that I could sign and would not be able to take off again so that I could sign. If the company you are buying something with uses UPS, I would recommend trying to find the item through a company that uses Fedex or USPS.

I ordered a Peavey Windsor guitar amp a week ago, and arrived to me today. For those who do not know, Tube amps come in multiple components. One such component is the transformer, which converts the wall power into power the amp can use. These transformers are big and bulky, and usually make up most of the weight of the amp. Somewhere along the line, they managed to SNAP OFF THE TRANSFORMER'S HOUSING. No, they didn't snap the screws that held the housing in place, they snapped the transformer housing, so it was hanging loose, inside the amp, from its wires.
Such a repair, considering the part and labor, would cost me more than the actual amp itself, which was 250. ON TOP OF THAT, the Peavey Windsor is a discontinued amp, so it isn't like the part can be easily found, and if I wanted a new one, I'd have to pay MORE MONEY for an amp that would more than likely suffer the same fate at the hands of UPS's drivers. So, thanks UPS, you did a wonderful job at converting a $250 dollar, 100 watt, discontinued guitar amp, into the world's most needlessly large paperweight.

I'm currently online with UPS. While there is 'no information' it is clear that I'm being lied to. We chose an expensive service because it is my passport. I'm flying tomorrow out of the country. UPS promised to have it to me today. The tracking information still says it should be here 5 hours ago but it seems my package never left Pennsylvania. Not that the operator actually knows this. Sure. If I don't have my passport I can't fly and lose thousands. And UPS responds cavalierly by giving no real answers and some script about how they get that this is a problem and yadayada.
UPS has been lying about the arrival of the package since yesterday as it would have had to be updated if it wasn't picked up and would not be here today. That's a fact. It still states it is arriving. I was just transferred and the supervisor acted again as if no information is available. Why the lies? My computer screen still says it is arriving today at noon! UPS will be refunding my flight costs. I will keep posting reviews until I'm able to speak to someone that doesn't keep telling me the same lie.

Before I begin I was trying to give no stars, but the lowest you can give is one star. My recommendation DO NOT USE UPS-- poor service, unaccountable, irresponsible and poor customer service. I will give only two examples: I mailed a box from a New York City Store on the Upper West Side, a box of Christmas gifts to my granddaughters in Atlanta. As I kept tracking it, it didn't arrive. I called customer service and was told it was out for delivery (this showed on the tracking for 5-6 days). When the package finally arrived days before Christmas the box was soaking wet, had been opened, gifts removed, other gifts put back damaged and the box re-taped and left on my son's doorstep without an explanation.
I called UPS and was told they are sorry, but not their problem, first warning bell, then I was told they are not responsible since they have no notation that anything happened to the box. So I sent pictures of the wet box and damaged products and filed a claim. But alas the claim is not handled by UPS corporate, but the NYC store which is independently owned and not supported by UPS corporate. Well it is May 24 and I'm still waiting for a refund. Not really :( I don't think I'm getting any refund and I don't have time to keep tracking this down.
Another son who lives in Atlanta went into a UPS store yesterday and mailed a document to me to be delivered overnight by 10:30 am today and no delivery. I dutifully tracked the package which said ALL DAY, long past the 1030 promised delivery, that it would be delivered. After a 45 minute call at 8:30 pm with UPS corporate who denied any responsibility, of course I was told they were sorry, but they couldn't help me.
The customer service center was closed until Tuesday and so my package would not be delivered until Tuesday. So a package with documents needed by today will now sit in a UPS service center until Tuesday because of failure on the part of the UPS delivery person. Although, I did receive another UPS package today so why not all my packages. Same old story, my son will have to file a claim to get back his money. I wonder if he will ever see that refund. Lastly, I was told you'll have it Tuesday. We will see. In summary, use the United States Postal Service.

Where to begin. I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida zip code 33304. Since April 11th I started receiving weekly packages every Friday from a home meal kit service. Every Friday since April 11th I have been dealing with an incompetent driver(s). The instructions clearly state to leave box in front of my door. The box has been left outside the complex, under the mailboxes, and on top of the mailboxes. After multiple complaints I was told to create a UPS My Choice account and to provide the same instructions on the box to the driver. This Friday the box was again not left at my door.

Sterling, Va, The worst experience of my life with UPS. Your drivers are incompetent. I send packages to Ashburn address frequently. They are always sent to wrong location or not received. This past experience your UPS drivers shoving a packing into a locker and they gave us the code to retrieve the package from the locker. The code would not open the locker. UPS basically said the case closed today& UPS acted like we don't have the code or don't know how to use it or we did in fact get box and not being honest. Whatever their problem is.
After further investigation I figured out that the UPS driver shoved/forced large package in a locker in the apartment complex and had it open long enough to cause it to go into error mode. I finally called the owner of the Lockers and got the IT department to open the locker remotely. BTW - You did not solve this problem. And your phone reps are worthless at UPS and everyone involved gave me the run around for 2 days. My time is valuable. PROBLEM SOLVED NOT BY YOU BUT BY THE SENDER WHO SPENT 2 DAYS TRYING TO TRACK THE PACKAGE.
ALSO, There was another package which was out for delivery by your drivers last night by Sterling facility. Suddenly, they said could not be delivered and there was a schedule change late last night. I contacted UPS about this and UPS said the package could not be delivered there was a problem with the truck or some BS story with equipment. It is so crazy -- When the locker was opened today remotely to pick up the other lost package the family noticed the 2nd delivery that was supposed to be late due to truck problems was on the floor and not in any locker. UPS said it could not be delivered before Thursday. Another lie.
A Thursday delivery date was set up. ****The amazon package was delivered and on the floor and you lied. There was no problem with the truck. There is a problem with a lazy driver that just dumped packages on the floor of the locker room in an insecure location. Sure they have cameras but anyone could take those boxes. Thank god the family was there today to see that you did in fact deliver and dump the other delivery on the floor. Your service is horrible and your divers are protected by the Union. The Sterling Location is the worst and you have ongoing problems which must be resolved. Everyone is talking about packages being dumped at wrong addresses all the time. That is way more time than needed to move the package to West Sacramento, then Rancho Cordova for delivery to my UPS Store. At 10:00 PM, a one business day delay for severe weather was imposed. Weather in nearby Oakland was 57 degrees, skies less than 20% clouds, wind 9.9 mph and 0% chance of rain.
Today I tracked my package multiple times. It arrived in West Sacramento at 1:19 AM today, but was never transported to Rancho Cordova for delivery. Customer services reps assured my the package was out for delivery by 8 PM. Since my UPS Store closes at 6, I waited in the parking lot. I received an email that my package was delivered and left at my front door. Two problems right there: 1) I was home, near my door, and no one even knocked on it; and 2) Left at front door? If I don't answer my UPS preferences are set to leave my packages at my back door. I checked my front door - my package wasn't there. Checked my back door - my package also wasn't there. So very obviously this incompetent delivery man left my package at someone else's house and not even in the right place! I called their Support number, which you can't even get a person until you hit a bunch of random numbers on purpose in hopes that someone will see there's a malfunction that requires human assistance.
The woman was kind and took down my info stating that the dispatcher will contact me within an hour. The only decent thing they did was actually contact me within the hour. I was told that they won't have any information regarding my package until the following morning because the driver has to come back and download their daily deliveries. How is that going to help me when this person delivered my package to the wrong house assuming it was MY house? They said if they see any discrepancies on their GPS they'll attempt to retrieve my package. Again, this doesn't help me if he delivered my package to someone else on my street.
I asked, "If you don't retrieve my package, how are you going to reimburse me for it?" They told me I have to take it up with the shipper (Amazon) and then they'll deal with Amazon. Excuse me, but... HOW is this Amazon's fault? Amazon did their job! They sent me the package I ordered. It was the UPS driver who couldn't fulfill his job requirements! After this call with this incompetent person (it must be a qualification for hire), I tried to file a claim on the UPS website, and only received an error message that I couldn't file a claim left. UPS, YOU ARE A JOKE.

Now I find out that because they put a hold on the package it cannot be delivered at all and they told me to call the seller. The seller says that the only thing that they can do is to issue a refund once they get the package back. The package was for Mother's Day.

I have 2-day delivery. The receipt said the package would arrive between the 3rd and the 6th of May. It is now the 7th and they "think" it will arrive today by 8 pm. That would be great if it was 1965 and tracking numbers didn't exist. Apparently, if I had ordered 1 day shipping, they would be capable of providing a more specific time frame. That's poppycock since the same driver/truck delivers to the same area no matter the urgency with which I order.
The lateness is a mild concern as I've never held any delusions about UPS's promptness. My issue is that I can't call the depot to try to ascertain a less broad time frame. The depot has the driver's numbers and the drivers/depot staff know the routes and when they're usually in what area. So I know they'd be aware of about when they'd deliver around my address. Wholly unhelpful all around. One of the customer service reps was incredibly polite so I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. If you provide a tracking service, 12 hours is an atrociously broad timeframe to give a customer. You could just say it will be here on such and such date and not pretend tracking numbers are useful or some great thing that actually means I'll know when my package will be delivered. Long story short, UPS is usually late and tracking numbers are nonsensical propaganda.

May 6, 2019. I got timed off and waiting for the UPS driver to pick up my Amazon return. I was just sitting in my living room and put my window blinds open to see people outside. I saw the UPS truck and the driver walking away from my house, I immediately ran outside then called him out loud for many times and he just drove the car and left. I called Amazon customer service the guy was helpful and contact UPS if they can come back for me, when UNKNOWN number called me and told me UPS really doesn’t knock and I just have to leave items outside. Like seriously? Telling me “Yeah we don’t do that, we don’t knock” she’s not helpful at all. I called Amazon customer service again and charged me shipping fee to send the driver to pick up my item again, guess what? This time they knock and wait for me to open the door. BECAUSE I PAID FOR IT. I told the driver I was calling you and you just left. What a trick!

I filed 4 complaints earlier this year because the driver was entering my home. Without permission. Now the driver last 3 deliveries is not delivering. Driver is changing the delivery to say I'm requesting to hold for pick up instead of delivering to my front porch. Today's package was out for delivery all day then at 553 pm he took it back to the location saying I wanted it that way. I have screenshots.
Driver is mad I filed complaints and I don't want him in my home so now tomorrow will for sure be the 4th time he's gonna do it again. Today was the 3rd time he's done this. This is now harassment because I don't want him to come in my home. He's mad and not delivering. I've spoke to customer service every time and Rashad at the driver's location and was guaranteed this would stop. Today was medication for my 19 yr old dog so he's refusing my dog medical attention. Tomorrow is allergy medication for my horse. Proof before it happens when I said to deliver I never said to hold any packages.
Stop this crap and deliver my packages. I pay for your services to deliver my packages to my front porch. If your driver has issue with my not wanting him inside my home, then maybe he should no longer work for UPS. He was never invited into my home. Every single package has clearly stated leave on front porch... not my garage, or my laundry room. Deliver my packages as paid for and as scheduled. At no time ever do I ever or have I ever said hold for pick up. No packages should ever be held for pick up.

These guys are unbelievable. Avoid this company if you need something sent expeditiously. I sent a package to the Philippines that had an address that was a little off, so they couldn't deliver it. You would think that they would contact me to get a correct address, but they didn't. When I tracked the package because it was late, it said it was sitting in a warehouse for a couple of days. So I called the store from where it was sent and they could only give me the number for the international part of the company.
When I talked to a lady in the intern'l division, she tells me that they can correct the address, but it could take up to 2 days. Wait...what?? I couldn't take that chance, because this was time sensitive, so I told her my fiancee would pick it up at the store. The only problem here is that she didn't have an address to tell me where to pick it up. Again, wait...what??? How do you not have an address for a store in your own company. She also doesn't tell me that the Philippine office is CLOSED FOR 5 DAYS FOR LABOR DAY. How do they not know this stuff? So, obviously the package wasn't available for pick up because the office was closed. This caused us to have to re-schedule our appointment and cost me about $700 in expenses.
The ineptness and lack of concern of the employees of this company truly amaze me. With the technology of today, they should have access to the addresses and business hours, including holidays, of their counterparts overseas. To me this is inexcusable. I will never do business with UPS again. I paid over $120 to get some paperwork delivered and nobody seemed to care that it wouldn't be on time. Their customer service is horrible and they don't have a clue about their own company.

I know Kohl's only goes through UPS (and if we get a bad box for shoes we replace it with our own) so it was their handling. How does UPS stay in business when they charge 400% more than the USPS???? I think I am going to go back to the UPS Store with a sign stating people can save up too 400% if they just go to the end of the parking lot. UPS...you are nothing but a complete rip off. In addition, at the Post Office they can actually answer questions. At the UPS store all the employees could do is refer me to their website. On the most part some do well but on the other hand, I often get a package delivered and the driver does not quite make it in the building to deliver the package. In turn and what makes him really dumb is he/she will leave the package outside the building on the side walk where hundreds of people pass by and packages have been stolen.
Last week, once again a package was left outside the building near the building front steps. He left the package in the pouring rain outside in the street. I found the package washed up to the curb soaking wet. I received notification that my package was delivered which made me go and look for it. I complained a number of times in the past and they say a manager will get back to me but never does. I wish I had a choice of delivery options but unfortunately do not.

As a result, the road must be repaired often and ultimately repaved.
I asked the UPS driver(s) on multiple occasions to slow down on camera. I explained the children, horses and dogs residing on the properties. I explained the wild rabbits, javelina and deer that frequent the road, yet the UPS driver(s) ignored my requests. I telephoned the UPS local office and call center registering a complaint numerous times… to no avail.
Since a UPS driver has already struck and killed a deer, I am calling for all businesses and residents to take notice on behalf of the children, horses, dogs, rabbits, javelina and deer. They are either unable or unwilling to fix this problem regardless of the damage they are doing on a regular basis by delaying our deliveries. I've been told this driver is protected by the union and therefore there isn't much that can be done to him. He's therefore allowed to abuse his power and do as he pleases with our packages.
There is zero accountability for the drivers or for the managers that are supposed to manage issues. We have no other problems with deliveries from FEDEX, the US post office, Amazon or any other delivery service. It is only with UPS and specifically with the driver assigned to our route. A supervisor responded my package will be delivered by end of the 3rd day.
On the 3rd day, I called UPS again in the morning, UPS told me they will message the driver to deliver the package in the afternoon. In the afternoon, I did not see my package again, I called UPS again (the 5th call), a manager responded me. They will have driver to pick up my package from their store by 6:30pm of the same day and deliver to me in the 4th day. After 6:30pm of the same day, I called UPS store if my package has been picked up by driver, I got the answer is no... I can't wait any more, I have to pick up the package by my own. UPS from driver to Call center, they cheat clients, they do not care of personal client at all, just push out their issue day by day until client no patience to wait and pick up by client own.

I sold a piece of medical equipment to our customer here on Long Island, NY. The equipment was purchased from a company out of China, so they shipped the equipment to a brokerage company in FL. The company in FL, shipped the equipment to us via UPS Ground. When tracking the package, it was due for delivery by the end of the day Friday, 3/29/19. My company was in the middle of moving to a new office just one town over on that same day. I called to see if the package could be rerouted to the new location, and UPS said it could not be. So I told the person in customer service at UPS that there was a chance no one would be there that day to receive the package.
They informed me that will would make 2 other attempts to deliver. So I said "great" - I could have the landlord or new company who took our old space receive the package and get it delivered to my end user on time for Monday, 4/1/19. So UPS was FULLY AWARE that we were moving that day. The driver arrives to deliver the package and sees a printed sign in the window stating we have moved to "x" address. So instead of setting up a second attempt, or sending the package to the hold for pick up location here in our county, they took it upon themselves to return to sender, ground. There was NO consent for this to take place, nor was I informed there would be charge for the return.
I called UPS and spoke with the customer service supervisor who's name was Angel, and I spoke with the billing supervisor who's name was Sandy - I begged to have the package rerouted and they refused. I spoke with the manufacturer in China, as well as the brokerage company in Florida who was the original sender... No one could help me. This customer will never purchase from my company again, the manufactures name has been tarnished, and we will never use UPS again. All because they refused to correct an error on their end. The amount we now have to pay because of the return, as well as having it shipped back to NY - is more than the commission of the sale itself. UPS should be ashamed of themselves.

The date of delivery we get a message: receiver refused delivery. The Post Office, which was the receiver, did NOT refuse delivery, UPS had not even been there yet. UPS advised to have sender give alternate address, which was immediately done. UPS supervisors first assured package would be redelivered same day. Soon, we got a message advising it would be delivered a WEEK LATER! We spoke again to supervisors who guaranteed delivery next day. Late at night, an agent confirmed alternate address and next day delivery.
Early in the morning, we got a message: the package was again being returned to sender, the address had been reverted to the original address, and again, driver said receiver refused delivery. All along, we could not speak to a manager, and the agent just apologized for a millionth time adding that their hands are tied. Nobody could speak to whatever main location has radio contact with the driver to answer why this was happening. Worst customer service, worst parcel service. WIll never use again.

Today I learned that UPS acts as a middleman between USPS and Customer if the package has to be delivered to PO Box address. I know it's officially quoted that UPS holds no responsibility if a package is shipped through them to a PO Box address. The main concern now I see is if that so why would UPS loot money from people by surcharging for something that they won't be responsible? Why goes print shipping label through UPS? WHY do guys receive the package that should be shipped to PO Box?
Please direct people to USPS, my humble request not to accept such packages to which you won't bear any responsibility and charge them with overhead cost just to profit yourself. Please don't make people fools by charging them unnecessarily and direct them to USPS. Just by receiving the package, charging some extra money, not being responsible for such PO Box packages will make UPS to lose hopes among people. Such a waste of time and money. Broken...

I began using UPS to ship packages for my business in the Fall of 2016. My new account manager, Hayden **, was helpful in getting my new account set up and always responsive when I had a question. However, he did lie to me about one thing: when my invoices needed to be paid. He just said that the UPS billing department would call me if I waited too long to pay them. I was switching over from FedEx where my invoices were billed monthly, and I always paid it immediately upon receipt. So that's what I was doing at UPS--paying it once a month. UPS sent me paper invoices for the first month, then discontinued sending them all together, so I wasn't even sure what I was being billed.
Later, I received an email that Hayden was no longer my account manager, and that moving forward it would be James **. Shortly after that, I tried contacting James via email and phone calls--no response from him... FOR MONTHS!!! Finally, I had to go above James and speak to his boss, Dan ** and, what do you know? James finally gets around to calling me. It's so nice of UPS that they were able to rope me in by switching my business shipping over to them, and then once my account was established with them, they suddenly became unavailable for any help whatsoever. Finally, I was able to have James help me figure out how to view my invoices online, and what do you know? Hundreds of dollars in late fees because UPS requires their invoices to be paid weekly!
I went back to Dan ** and complained about all the late fees and the lack of response from James ** for such a long period of time. He told me they would do better and responding and promised to remove ALL the late fees. They just wanted me to pay for my recent two-weeks worth of unpaid invoices first, which I did. Then I look at my account and find out that they refund part of the late fees. I called Dan ** to inquire why all the late fees hadn't been credited back to my account, and his response was, "Oh, I didn't mean ALL of the late fees, just some of them."
I promptly told Dan that I was tired of being lied to and that I would like to speak to his boss, to which he replied that anyone above him that I spoke to would refer my complaint back to him, i.e. that there was no one else higher up to speak to besides him. I told Dan to close my account. Surprisingly, he didn't care to lose my business, even though I paid upwards of $1000 in shipping fees to UPS per month. I moved my business back to FedEx and haven't had any problems with FedEx since. Lesson learned! My advice for other businesses out there: Don't use UPS! You will get royally screwed!!!

Not only they didn’t show up as promised on that day, but didn’t even have the common decency to notify me of any delays. I wasted all the time and beyond but to no avail. The following day, and as if nothing happened, they notified me that the parcel will be delivered three days later than originally scheduled and that I needed to wait for another four hours for their delivery. Oh boy where I start? Simple: do not use them!!! I stayed all day long on the phone with them, scheduling a pick up, and then the driver arrived, 3 seconds, departed without taking my packages or waiting for me. I had to reschedule a pick up. I could not, had to depart the following day, so I decided to drop off my packages on the closest drop off location, so I did, one by one, 80 pounds, 5 packages. Good. The driver arrived, and said he would take only one package with that tracking number, departed leaving all my boxes there. We are on a Friday. The owner of the drop off business called me so stopped whatever I was doing, ran there and called the company back, to check what was wrong, they could not say but looked that maybe the packages would have been picked up by the day. Ok.
I returned home at 8 pm, passed by the business, guess what? My packages were still there. Called them again: they told me they would not be able to pick them up before the following Monday. I tried to explain that I lost the entire day for them to pick them up on the day, for safety, as the business was very busy, especially during the weekend, but no, they could not do anything. I asked why the first driver did not waited for me? He had no time. He is on a schedule, ok. I asked why the second driver refused to pick up my boxes from the drop off point, they did not know, but I could open a complain if I wanted, I said, "Thanks, no need, all I need is that these packages, someday, maybe, will have a driver picking them up for delivery." Maybe.
Now I am going to have a very long trip and instead to think about the trip, the practical things to be done I will be in a constant anxiety for these packages, left there, on a public business, for over 2 days, and only God know if and when they will ever be picked up. Still interested to ship with this company? Go ahead, good luck! Me, I am done with them, thanks.

They didn't even offer any kind of shipping discount for the bad delivery they have done so far. Even the seller had refunded me my money back and gave me the item free due to UPS's mistake and stupidity. Shows you how nice UPS is on their mistakes, by letting others pay for their problems, if I were you I wouldn't have UPS deliver your items unless you want them a month late or not at all without telling you what has happened to your items. It was the seller that had to fill me in on what happened to my shipping, not UPS. Not even one word from them. Just it's delayed even though it was lost, and then the second one it's delayed again. We are a business and have used FedEx ground for some 20 years. In Jan. 2017 we switched over to UPS ground as they offered us better discount incentives than FedEx. The drivers, the pickups, and overall initial shipping was great. As the weeks progressed we would get invoiced weekly due in 15 days. We would mail a check 3-4 days before due BUT, you let them get it 1 day late and your hit with a late fee PLUS interest.
Then we started mailing 5 days before due. It may have been due on a Sat. and deposited on Monday... YEP another late fee PLUS interest again. WE NEVER-EVER got this kind of treatment from FedEx. If that's not enough... just call and get an approved credit from a billing error. Two months later you'll get a single invoice for interest only from 2 months before. This necessitates countless time to research, you then call, get it removed, and 2 months later another late fee on the same thing. If you don't pay it, they will lock you out of the system forcing you to pay. This is a clever but totally unethical...perhaps illegal method of revenue enhancement.
In 2018 we switched back to FedEx and regret we ever went to UPS. FedEx's billing is rarely incorrect and if it is, you short pay the invoice and never hear about it again. NOW... UPS provided us a label printer in 2017. In mid 2018 they sent us an invoice for $276.00 for the printer. I sent a letter back stating they could have the printer back if 1/ the sales rep. came to get it or 2. We would ship back to them. Since, UPS has continued billing us for the printer PLUS interest which has now reached over $450.00 yes (four hundred fifty). Since, I have learned of many others using UPS with billing nightmares which almost takes a full time person dedicated to UPS invoices only. This is stupid. The only remedy is FedEx.

We had a package to deliver, measuring 32 x 17 x 4 inches. Grant it that it’s an unusual size, but they said they would customize a box for it. Their “customizing” the box was to take an extra large box to fit the package and then fill in the remaining space with lots of smaller boxes and bubble wraps. What was originally 30 pounds ended up weighing 36 pounds. We not only had to pay for the extra weight but also the packing service and boxes (the boxes were not new but recycled with previous shipping labels on it).
On top of that, we specifically said we did not want it left at the doorstep of the destination but that when notified, someone would pick up at the closest carrier station. This was because of the rash of thefts, and no one at the house to receive it, we didn’t want to leave a $1500 item exposed outside for anyone to pick up. UPS reassured us, it would not happen, that they would leave the package at the station and notify us when it arrived.
This morning, I received a notification from UPS that the package had arrived and had been delivered to the door! I had to call my friend who had to rush across town from work just to get the package, and sure enough, it was sitting outside the doorstep of his residential address. When I complained to UPS, the supervisor said, "Well, at least it arrived safely!" That is small comfort for a worry that could have been prevented if they had done their job correctly. If I could give them a 0, I would — 1 is too generous. The item cost us almost $1500. You just don’t leave it lying outside for thieves to pick up. I will never deal with them again.

I had to overnight my car keys to my boyfriend so he could use the car to drive up from SD to the Bay for a 10 am delivery, it cost $110. A simple task, you'd think? Nope. The keys didn't show up. My boyfriend and I are on a farm with no house. So he waited outside all day in the rain for the truck to come so he could sign for the package. We kept calling and calling asking about updates and finally were told they'd be there by 8 pm. Nothing at 8 pm and we are both pissed. We call (we had to force someone to transfer us to their shipping center) and they say they were lost, maybe put on the wrong truck - why couldn't they have found out earlier in the day it didn't make it onto the right truck?
Then began the "investigation" to find them, which could last up to ten days. We kept calling for updates and they say they could call when they had either found them or when the investigation had closed. So we waited a few more days before calling again and they said "oh, it's been closed, we couldn't find them" - they didn't call us saying it had been closed or that it was still lost, we had to. So then we have to start the claims process as getting my car keys back will require a car tow to the dealership, two keys to be cut, made, programmed + labor, and a new battery since it died sitting there for 3 weeks (about $1,000 in total). People say they can't help us and keep transferring us for days, saying we will get called back but no one does. No one wants to help you!
Many people said they'd pay for it and I finally reached a nice lady in the investigations department, Katherine, who said she could help me. She gave me her email and I set in my first invoice, saying more would be coming next week (this week). I call today to send in more invoices, but suddenly no one can transfer me to that department like the number/extension magically disappeared from their phonebooks. LIKE MAGIC. The one person who was willing to help me, I can't reach.
So I'm transferred to the billing department where I tell her the whole story againnn and they say the same thing "the claim has been processed and will be in the mail" but that claim is just for the shipping! I tell them that I have invoices to submit, that I want to talk to Katherine, no one can get me to that one person. I ask if Katherine had inputted the original invoice I sent... She hadn't. No one will help you. Then I get on with a supervisor who really pisses me off! Saying I need to contact the store I sent it from -- they can't do anything! They've done their part, submitted all their information! It's on the company now, don't try and send me back to the store where they won't be able to help because trust me, I had to call the store multiple times!
Oh by the way, at the store I shipped it from they told me: "yeah I have no idea what they're doing over there (referring to the company) because I am just as lost as you are" Wow it's so comforting to hear an employee say they are just as lost as I am! Great job! Anywho... This supervisor was caddy and saying "I'm not trying to upset you, but we won't cover for any of those damages you've mentioned. It's in the fine print when you ship. We won't cover it". Wtf again! I say I have spoken to many people who said the company would cover it and she asks for the names and their phone numbers and I say "nobody gives you a ** call back number because you guys don't want to help us!"
No one gives me any helpful information, but I was told, "It would be covered!" She keeps going, "I'm not trying to upset you," blah blah blah and I'm like, "how are you trying to not upset me right now? You are telling me you wont pay for the $800-$1000 I have had to pay? I basically went off about what a horrible company it was and that I needed to talk to her boss, whoever was above her because I didn't trust a single word that came out of her mouth. She said I would be called back within two days and I insisted to be called back within the hour since I don't trust any of the employees.
I get on the phone with the woman who actually called me back (congratulations UPS, stepping up in the ** world!) and my boyfriend was also on the line. We discuss how horrible our experience has been and that we just want to speak with the one employee who would help us, Katherine. She couldn't connect me... A supervisor couldn't even do that... woooowww. She says she can email her with urgency but there's no guarantee there will be a response. I need a guarantee because I'm not letting them off the hook for now getting back to me. I was able to get the supervisor's number but also said she wouldn't reimburse me for the consequential damages of my lost package, but if Katherine is willing to help then she is the girl to talk to wow if only I could contact her!
Now I'm waiting 1. for my claim check for my shipping 2. someone who can HELP me. It's so simple. I just need one person to send my invoices to, so they can input them in my file, and send me another check. How hard it this and how can that take over 3 weeks? I am hopeful Katherine will go through with her word and if not I don't know what I'm going to do. This company is criminal. If they don't cover these costs why would the other employees say you do? Why don't you train them better? It's not like your shipper at the store says "btw if we lose these keys you won't get back the $800-$1000 you'll have to pay to get everything worked out". Also, why would a supervisor not be able to help me but a regular employee in the investigations department can? wtf.
This company does not want to help you because they suck so hard and steal from you. No one ever calls you back, no one gives you their phone number, no one can help you! You spend hours of your day going in circles, being transferred to 6 different people explaining your story over again! It's not hard people! Just live up to a good customer service motto/standard! FedEx would refund me, Amazon would refund me, UPS does not value their customers and just wants to take take take. I will never trust them again EVER and will post this experience anywhere I can.
I am a very outgoing, mind, bubbly/happy person and have never ever had to speak to a company like this. I am appalled at their lack of integrity, lack of morals, lack of everything! They will rip you off and screw you over! It's not worth the trouble so do not use them for anything! I'm just looking out for everyone else who wants to do a simple thing like overnighting a package without wanting to end up spending almost $1000 and 3+ weeks of their time fighting with this company. I could go on and on but will stop myself here. Rant over.
