NEVER use UPS if a signature is required. UPS drivers are bad about running up and putting a tag on the door, without even ringing the doorbell. UPS doesn't care, and doesn't even give you a way to report it. I've had multiple bad experience with them in Wylie and Colleyville TX.

This is a recurring problem and is the straw that has broken the camel's back. I received a notification a package was delivered to my address at 10:32 am - it WAS NOT. I am at home & have video coverage of property and have line of sight to the street and front door. Attempts to report the problem online fail as UPS website states STILL OUT FOR DELIVERY?! How - when then notified me it was delivered. The further irony - UPS delivered a package from the SAME SOURCE to the SAME ADDRESS yesterday at almost the same time of day.
Calling customer service says I have to wait 24 hr to report a problem/missing package? How? Why? I don't have the package and the package is NOT at any neighbor with a similar address (that error has happened multiple times so was the first physical check I did). It should be a simple matter for the customer service rep to immediately contact the driver and report the problem given I reported within minutes of the notice the package was supposed to have been delivered. These types of problems and quick reports from customers should all the problem to be corrected in near real time. However, they have policies in place that prohibit that from happening. This is a recurring problem with UPS. If I had a choice I'd use ANY shipper EXCEPT UPS.

If you live in Canada, don't use UPS!!! I bought my item using UPS Standard shipping from locations in Canada to locations in Canada (which was supposed to take 1-2 days) but 4 days later my package still hasn't arrived. And it says: An emergency situation or severe weather condition has delayed delivery.. Which is a complete lie as the weather is fine and there was no accidents, I don't know if the driver straight out lied or the management lied, this is unacceptable. Never using UPS Canada again.

The package s needed to ship was 14x40x3 inches deep. The agent said it would cost 66.80 to package item, already had bubble wrap around the outside, wow! I will not use UPS ever again! My opinion is this is a ripoff, consumers are not dummies all the time. I worked for a dealership and shipped packages daily. Seems that they try to take advantage of people! Never again!

The delivery guys put "receiver not available" without attempting for delivery. Calling the customer care is of no use. My family is at home waiting for delivery of the product. The UPS guys do not call through intercom nor put a door tag, and just put a status "receiver not available".

They do everything to NOT pick up the item and just leave "pick up" attempt slip so you drive to the office and do the job yourself. Drivers don't even try to do their work. Customer service is completely unhelpful, they just lie "we will escalate the issue, someone will pick up the item tonight". AND NOBODY comes. Nobody. They just tell you this to get rid off your call. Scam company.

I shipped a package 2day air, it was lost almost right after leaving our facility. When I tracked it there was no movement for over a day, when I called UPS and explained to customer services they immediately put me over to someone else and they just said file a claim your package is lost. I am like What??? So I did. We had a friend who worked for UPS go hunt our package down and it was sitting, pushed off to the side, tore apart. It then sat another day as the address label was gone. UPS never called us to say the package was found tore apart sitting in the corner. Today I called to get a refund and the guy said it was delivered. What do you want. I said I paid for 2nd day air and it was delivered a week later. Damaged. He said call billing, I call billing and they say because it is a large package it is not eligible for a refund.... What? Just a run around. **.

I shipped a box to Boston in April and it is now the end of September and there is still no sign of the box or any reimbursement whatsoever. I have called customer service at least half a dozen times and I still can’t get an answer as to where my shipment ended up and no response from UPS about reimbursement. For the first couple of months they kept telling me it was too soon to conduct an investigation. After several months they said they would start an investigation but I never heard back from them. When I called again they said they would start another investigation, still haven’t received any response. I am now out $13 in shipping and the value of the item shipped was several hundred dollars.

September 16th I sent a very important UPS next day letter to my customer at ** US Hwy 41 North. The driver mistook US Hwy as "South" HWY 41 and wrote not deliverable, wrong address. UPS would not redeliver the letter. The customer after lengthy attempts had to settle for picking the letter up early the following morning instead of waiting for another "delivery". UPS agent Anna ** told me that because my customer chose to pick up the letter the following day instead of waiting I must pay the full invoice. Their driver made the mistake, their station manager would not fix it and we get the bill.

Absolutely horrible and frustrating. Traveled to Europe to visit family with my boyfriend. Originally only went for couple of weeks. I do wear clear plastic aligners for my teeth to correct my smile, which I do have to change every week. We decided to extend our trip, so we asked our friend to ship us the extra couple of plastic aligners so I can stay on track with the medical plan. He shipped it on 12. September, paid $163!!!! For the package to be delivered. GUARANTEED by the 17th, which is the whole week for a delivery, very plenty of time.
We tracked the package just about 2 days before delivery, only to find out our package haven't even left USA! We called and were informed its is missing a "POWER OF ATTORNEY"??? ... What??? Nobody informed us of anything. Our friend sent the package with everything needed. UPS claimed they contacted "someone" for this missing information. Our friend did not receive any phone calls or emails. We did not receive anything. When we asked who did they contact, the answer was "we are not sure, sometimes they don't even contact you" WHAT??? So they will just let the package sit there till someone calls?
After that, I basically had to call UPS in Czech Republic 3 times, incurring call charges, getting forms needed to clear the customs (for 3 pieces of plastic, worth probably $2???), filling them out, emailing back, and today is the 23rd and we still do not have the package. Nobody seems to worry. The package has been sitting in the warehouse in Prague since 4 am yesterday, but for some weird reason will sit there also all day today, and will be delivered tomorrow. So technically, I paid $163 for a 12 day delivery, when I could have used regular post office, pay $20, and get it in 5 days.

UPS is trash and have been trash for years. The service is terrible, the departments aren't streamlined to effectively solve customers' problems, and their people are unscrupulous. A package was sent to me on 9/18/19. Our area was hit with a tropical depression that inundated the entire city. The heavy rains caused major flooding in and around the city. However, by yesterday (9/20/19) the waters had mostly receded.
I called to inquire about the status updates on the package, because the online updates seemed inconsistent with what actually happened. The first update was on 9/19, which said "delivery attempt." There was no delivery attempt, no tag left, I was home all day, no one came. I understand the rains might have prevented delivery, although, UPSP was able to get to my house despite the rain, but I digress.
So there it was Friday, 9/20/19, and nothing else was updated, except, it now said, "scheduled delivery." Ok, it's scheduled for delivery, for what time pray tell? The woman on the phone says, there's no time associated with my delivery. So again, their lying. By now I'm frustrated. If they'd simply suggested that I pick up the package, I would have it now and wouldn't be writing this review. However, they persisted in their lies until the weekend, only to schedule my package for Monday delivery, even though it's an OVERNIGHT delivery. Now, the only thing that I can do is to go pick it up on Monday, because they lack the common decency to offer the courtesy of actually scheduling the delivery time, so that I can know when on Monday it'll be delivered.
Mind you, they had all these special exceptions of "emergency" that was placed on delivery at the facility, although, they were able to maneuver through the city by yesterday. The same day they NEVER even tried to make a delivery attempt. SMH. If I could give -5 I would. I've never liked UPS, and never will. The task of delivering is secondary to their lackluster business practices and it's a shame really. It's too bad FedEx is so expensive and people turn to trash box UPS because of their rates.

Last October, a UPS driver came to our house to deliver a package when my husband and I weren’t home. Instead of staying on our driveway and backing out, he tried to turn the truck around in our yard and drive out forward. Being end of October in the Catskills, NY, we had experienced a lot of rain and the yard was wet. The driver rutted up the side of our yard and got his truck stuck, which is how we found him when we returned home. He told us he would be fired if the company found out he got the truck stuck, so my husband helped tow him out and we didn’t report it even though we had to clean up the portion of our yard that he ruined.
In return, he must have gone back and told the company that our house should no longer be delivered to, because since then, our packages go to a local UPS warehouse with very limited open house for pick up (and are returned to sender within a week), or they go to the local post office and are unavailable for pick up except during regular post office business house (during which we are often unavailable because of work). FedEx has no problem delivering to our house (and before this one UPS driver, neither had UPS). I do a lot of online shopping and cringe when I see UPS as the carrier. Wanted to post pictures in the review but don’t see it as an option.

To put it in brief form, I ordered a product in June, 2019. A week later that product had been left on my porch, for delivery. Fast forward to 9/13/2019, when a Ms. Kayla ** from UPS Small Package Customs Brokerage called me and said that the company had sent the package “prepaid”, which, in UPS lingo makes me responsible for all government charges associated with importing the product. Therefore, UPS had my name on the invoice. If I failed to pay the $52.56 that was owed within five days, the matter would be handed to a collection agency. Despite the fact that I never signed anything, or engaged UPS in any way, she considered it my debt, To despite my protestations, and refusal to pay. She didn’t care what was legal or right, she wanted the money, and would do whatever was necessary to get it.
Her insistence that I pay would never stand-up in a court of law because I did not engage UPS in any way, or sign anything, but she didn’t care. She knew that someone would never go to court over the small sum involved. I am a disabled senior, and have spent my lifetime building an outstanding credit score. She felt that she could easily bully, threaten, and lie to the point where I would tire of the fight, and pay a debt that was not mine to protect my reputation.
The summary is one of risk, and risk avoidance. Anytime that something is shipped to you via UPS, you are at risk if the product is imported and the importer has not paid the government fees. Anyone has the right to refuse a delivery by UPS, thus avoiding the risk. If your firm is reputable, ship via a service other than UPS. If you order a product, specify that UPS is not to be engaged. Finally, refuse any delivery that UPS might make. Taking these steps will nullify the risk of a nightmare, like I have gone through.

Lies are standard operating procedure. Packages may or may not be delivered at the discretion of drivers. My packaged was scheduled to be delivered at a residential address however the driver updated my account saying it could not be delivered because the business was closed. Someone was here all day and a delivery was never attempted. Anyone who lies so blatantly should never be trusted. The lies lead me to believe that behind the lies there is criminal intent.

Tracking indicates that my item is arriving by the end of the day. We waited till 8pm. Suddenly it was re-scheduled for future delivery. Contacted support, but they cannot give me any additional information and they will just relay my issue to the receiving UPS facility. Was then contacted me the next day stating that they can't find my package in their system. And they would call me back in 30 mins to try and locate the items.
I then got a call back after a few hours letting me know that it was still missing and there was no reason given by the UPS driver for the reschedule. There was also no attempt for the driver to deliver. I was then told to let the sender know about the issue and just file a claim. I then said, "Can I just wait till the next day (Friday)?" And they said yes and they'll update me right away.
I felt so frustrated that my item just went missing for no reason or any explanation. And this was not the first time it happened. I've been telling the agent and the staff facility that I'm even willing to pick up the item at any drop point or even the warehouse. I feel that my issue is being handles lightly. The item is insured for more of its worth but I would not be reacting this much if it was not important to me. I've been using UPS to ship my items in the past but having to go through all this trouble is not worth it. And some items are just irreplaceable.
I'm really hoping that this would be resolved. I would advocate to my friends and family in discouraging them to use any of #UPS services. And unfortunately, one of my friends is going through the same thing right now. I maybe just one customer, and this might be a regular incident for your company, but I feel sorry for the other people that has to go through the same thing. They maybe mere objects, but some of these are precious and means a lot to us.

I often order things online especially on Amazon and Costco. Usually these two companies use UPS as their shipping carrier for my area. I recently placed an order from Amazon and the scheduled delivery date was 10, September. On 10, September UPS sent me a notification says the delivery date has been rescheduled to 11 September by 9 pm. On September 5:54 pm I received an email from UPS said my package was delivered. But actually I was at home at that time and didn't see any UPS's truck stopped by my house and there was no any package found. So I called the UPS customer service to ask about it but was told that I had to contact Amazon to deal with this issue.
I contacted Amazon immediately and got response from Amazon said that after they checked with UPS this error occurred was because UPS had accidentally scanned the package as "Delivered" and it's still on the way and expect the package will be delivered within one business day. I waited one more day, but the package still didn't arrive.
It wasn't because of this mistake that I gave UPS a star review. I live in Lake Arrowhead, California. There was no home delivery from USPS in my area. UPS appears to be the only shipping carrier for Lake arrowhead, so they don't seem care about the quality of service at all. Over the past six months, the quality of their services has become worse and worse, they had lost my packages, often changed the delivery time and provided you false tracking information. I have complained to Amazon many times on this issue but they don't seem to have any good alternatives.

I am residing in Schaumburg, Illinois. For last 2 years, there is problem with UPS deliveries in my area. I order online very often, mostly from Amazon. I gave instructions to Amazon that I do want "No signature needed delivery", and I want Amazon to endorse to delivery company to leave my package by my doors if no answer. Most of my parcels come with that note on the slip. Driver of UPS does not leave my package, instead, sometimes he leaves slip stating that my package will be available at UPS's drop off place.
When I go there to pickup, my package is not there, then, when checked, my package is not returned to Palatine/main UPS location. For a few days, no package to be found and then 3-4 days later they leave another slip for pickup in drop off location. I work long hours, that location is open until 6:30 pm. Each time I got e-mail from UPS for pickup or driver leaves slip for me, I have to leave from work earlier. I am not happy when I come to pickup place and my package is not there even though driver indicated on his slip that it is available for pickup at that particular location. I called multiple times UPS to see if anything can be done and why driver is ignoring instructions on the package and by UPS customer services representative. I was told that it is all in driver's discretion if he is going to leave package or not, regardless to note on package.
Many times, driver checks every possible option on the slip, I saved some of those slips where driver checked: (Slip from 7/12/19: 1. Package will be delivered to access point location, 2. We will try again on the next delivery day and 3. This was our final attempt!!!) Hello! Which one is it? On slip from 7/15/19 driver checked: 1. We will try again on next UPS delivery day, 2. Someone must be here to accept delivery and sign for your package. 3. We can leave your package on the next UPS delivery day if you sign the back of the UPS INFO Notice's receipt. I sign back of the slip.
Next day, slip with my signature is still attached at the door accompanied by another slip from driver that delivery was attempted and package will be available at access point location. When I went there, package was not there. From there I went straight to main location in Palatine, and package was not there either. Next day I went again to Palatine location and find out that package was returned to seller overnight. I saved slips (6 slips) for 2 deliveries that returned to seller shortly, called UPS customer services, explained what my issue is, they listened to me and told me someone in charge will call me to resolve issues. Nobody called, I called them again and situation repeated.
Finally I went to talk in person. They told me that person who can help me is not there. Person I spoke said his name is Jeff ** and he will make sure that person in charge for deliveries calls me back. I was ignored again. Then I called **, spoke to Leonard who did listened as rest of them, and stated: "Someone in charge will call you!" Never happened! I wanted to know what is UPS policy about deliveries, what is their explanation on driver's overwriting instructions on the package, how can I as customer understand rules that are different each delivery time? How does driver determine where package goes if I am not at home when he attempts delivery? Why once he will try to re-deliver next day, once is taken to access point, once is still on drivers truck after 2 days etc. I still did not get my answer.
I went in main office multiple times and each time they dismiss me stating that person in charge is not present at the time but will call me. In the other areas, drivers leave packages by the doors, they take picture of package and the door as a proof, they accommodate customers wishes as much possible. In my area, not just that driver does not accommodate customer, as a matter of fact, he is doing the best he can to piss off his customers, and his bosses do not give damn about it! What I am trying to say is:" How I can expect as a customer to have driver respect me as customer and to respect my instructions when their customer service/office staff is ignorant to me as customer and do not even call back???"

So I have been sitting around for hours and have gotten nothing done while I wait for a package I don't even know about. I would not recommend UPS for anything right now. I am stuck home and can't even go grocery shopping or anything because of their lousy service driver. If he can't deliver on the time they should not give us a time for delivery. Calling does no good, they basically just tell you to wait. I hope I never get anything from UPS again. They said that an adult had to sign. It is the only reason I am here or I would have left a long time ago.

I have a son with disabilities. He has NEEDED supplies delivered EVERY MONTH and has FOR YEARS. Suddenly, over a year ago, my packages started “being held”. No attempt to deliver, no notifications that they were even holding it. Then, sending them back to the sender. It got to the point that I have to call the sender to verify delivery EVERY DAY to know when I needed to go pick up my packages. I have worked with UPS, with management, with supervisors to no avail. NOW, I ordered something my son NEEDED and not only was there an attempt to deliver it, it was returned to the sender THE SAME DAY UPS put it on their truck. I’m currently on hold waiting for a supervisor now, but this is crap! I can’t believe that I have to fight UPS for MY KID'S LIFE SAVING MEDICAL EQUIPMENT.

I ordered two small packages through Amazon and UPS refused to deliver it to my apartment. So I changed the address to an Amazon locker across from my work and the driver didn’t even drive to the locker before saying it was full. I tried again the next day and the driver again said it was full, likely without going again. In defeat, I just requested that my two packages be left at the hub where I can pick them up. Well, the driver dropped one off at the hub but the other is somehow going to be delivered 4 days from now? This is blatant harassment against the customer. How is this level of customer service tolerated? I sincerely hope Amazon tanks this horrible organization. I’ll make sure UPS is never an option I use again.

Very poor service! The three-day service does not include weekend and it means three business days, which they do not specify before you make the payment. If your shipment falls on weekend, it will not be delivered until next business day. Do not use three-day service as it is almost the same service as UPS ground. Paying much more money and still get the package as ground service. This is UPS.

UPS deliver a 3-day international delivery after 10 days. And lost part of the order. But even more upsetting were the number of hours that I spent trying to resolve the issue: UPS reps are courteous, but different locations and department seem to have different information - they have poor communication with each other. I ordered a large soccer goal via 3 day shipping for our town on August 9. When the package was delivered there was a customs fee that UPS asked to to pay. We had already paid it over the phone that morning and the driver said he could not find record of the payment and would not give us the packages. UPS phone rep admitted that the driver should have had the info and apologized for the error. UPS promised to deliver the next day, but didn't. Again UPS apologized and said there was a problem at the warehouse in Eatontown. UPS then failed to deliver the package for another 4 days! 3 day shipping was now taking around 12 days!
Packages were delivered. When assembling the goal, we found that there was a 12th package that UPS should have delivered. UPS acknowledged that it was delinquent and promised next day delivery, but again it wasn't delivered! More calls to UPS, and UPS acknowledged that the package had disappeared at one of its facilities. So did UPS finally take ownership of the problem? No - UPS said that we must file a inquiry in order for THEM to start looking for the package. They asked us to find package measurements to help them physically look for it (they don't record package dimensions). They also said that they needed the exact contents of the box, even thought there would be a label on the box showing our name on it. I'm disturbed that UPS kept putting the ball back into my court. Also am surprised that their system didn't alert them that a 3-day package was never delivered. They don't monitor whether their packages are delivered?!
The first delay was bad enough. But I spent many hours on the phone with UPS trying to get delivery, and being asked to talk to different departments and locations. The time that I lost was very disappointing - UPS took several days to own the problem - I expected them to take ownership of the problem and resolve it, without me having to make so many calls and talk to so many people.

So I delivered a package about a month ago through UPS. On the day the package arrives, the person I’m delivering it to notifies me that he didn’t get it and there’s a damage reported on the tracker. On the tracker, it said UPS was supposed to notify me and they never did. So I head on over to UPS to tell them about the package and that I never got notified, etc. They told me not to worry, and that it should be here in like 3 business days. 3 business days passed, and I never got a call from them. Went in there in again and basically they told me the same story. I’ve been going in there twice a week, and always the same story.
Alright, fast forward to 20 days later from when the damage has been reported and now they tell me it’s lost. The item is worth $200 and is irreplaceable. They told me that the most they could refund is $100 and I’ll maybe get that. They are blaming me for how it was packaged, and I get that, BUT THEY LOST IT and they aren’t taking responsibility for it. And after 8 days after it’s been claimed lost, they basically stop looking for it, like it never happened. NEVER USE UPS.

I had a package that was supposed to be delivered. I kept finding the paper on my door but no one was knocking or ringing the bell because two out of three times I was HOME! and I have a DOG! That did not even bark, I guess the drivers were too rushed. SO then they told me I would need to drive 45 minutes to get the package! I spoke to a supervisor and she said she was so sorry and that it would be delivered Tuesday. Then I got a call saying Monday. I told them I couldn't be here Monday. So then I get an email that says package will be here between 1045am and 245pm estimated delivery.
It is after 330 and no package so I called again. I couldn't understand the person on the phone at all so I asked to speak to a supervisor which was not much better. I asked if they could reach out to the driver or if I left the note signed at my door would they leave the package and they said no. They will have the driver call me back within an hour and it could be up till 8pm for delivery. This is unacceptable - totally unacceptable.

I have lost 3 shoes for crews packages that I saw the driver pick up, yet UPS has no record of them. 3 brand work boots turn up missing all priced over $100.00 a pair. ** is the tracking number showing delivered. This was an electronic accessory for my computer. This year alone I have had to pay over five hundred dollars for items that were misplaced or stolen. I do not recommend using UPS for shipping. I will never use them again. As a mother, I frequently get things shipped to me for convenience- whether it’s online shopping or friends and family shipping items to us. My sister lives in America and we live in Canada, and normally she sends us items through our Amazon account and we’re always happy with the service. But this time she wanted to physically pick out Birthday presents and shipped them through UPS.
1) UPS tracking is the worst. We didn’t even get an expected day of arrival until 2 days ago, and absolutely no timeframe. “Delivered by the end of the day” meant that I couldn’t go anywhere all day, not knowing if the package will come at 11am or 6pm. It came at 6:30pm.
2) The delivery guy didn’t give me any time to answer my buzzer, he hung up after 2 rings. I ran downstairs to catch him and he didn’t even acknowledge me. I waved and yelled for him to wait, but he got into his truck and left. I suspect he was in a hurry to leave because his shift ends at 6:30. He didn’t even wait a minute. Now I have to go tomorrow to pick up from an office. I just wasted a whole day waiting for nothing.
I will never use UPS again. I have informed friends and family to avoid UPS as well. Poor customer service.

He actually stuck the note beside the door bell which he did not ring...I was home all day. When they finally dug up the box in a trailer out back which contained a 1200.00 espresso machine it looked like they had played kick ball with it. I LOATHE UPS. Dealing with them is a nightmare. THE WORST carrier in the US, based on several horrible experiences I have had with them personally and based on Google reviews. ► A $10 can of spray paint ordered from Walmart was NOT delivered by UPS. I applied for a refund. ► I was hounded by UPS by phone accusing me of lying numerous times. Then about a week later, the driver showed up at 9:30 pm! pounding on the door and ringing the doorbell incessantly before I could reach it. He was hateful, accusing me of lying and telling me to make things right by getting in touch with Walmart to tell them I made a mistake about no delivery. ► I told him that I'm retired and home 24/7 and track packages so I'll know when they're due to arrive and can watch for them.
He calmed down a bit then and said, "I wonder if I delivered it to the wrong address." ► However, they will no longer deliver anything to my house but leave a notice and make me drive to their office to pick up deliveries. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR FIVE YEARS! ► Subsequently, over those years, there have been four occasions when various neighbors have come to my house and brought packages addressed to me but delivered to their houses. ►I have never had a problem with any of the other carriers, but I have stopped ordering online for fear of having to deal with the lousy UPS delivery 'service'.

I was just starting the agonizing process of going thru UPS-Robo-voice hell when a third neighbor knocked on my door to let me know where the pkg was because the driver had no idea what had become of it after first misdelivery recipient told him "it has been taken care of". Yet on many occasions I have had packages not delivered with the notice indicating no one was home. In fact, no one came to the house to deliver anything.
This happened again to a package I sent to my grandsons who were celebrating their 4th birthday. The package was to arrive Tuesday and that day a truck from UPS delivered another gift yet the one I sent failed to deliver because "no one was home". Yes, there was someone there all day. The package was then sent to another location and our only notification was when I called to check the status. YES THAT'S RIGHT, no sticker on the door or note left behind so... they wouldn't redeliver the package until Friday (too late for their birthday). I called to complain and was told to call the UPS store where I purchased the $47 shipping label. I called them and they advised me to call ups.com. Finally they agreed to file a claim and I was just notified that they will do nothing to help since it was finally picked up by my daughter who had to take time off from work to get it. Trying to talk to a human in customer service is extremely aggravating because there is too much automated crap to go through to get to that point. Then when you finally get one their intelligence level is so low you can tell they are reading from a script. I even BEGGED to pick my package up myself at an Access Point or Depot but they would not allow me to because my package was restricted by the shipper... funny that this didn’t benefit me at all... I signed up for Sms, phone and email notifications and was never notified of the driver coming on Monday - there is no real way to track your items. I believe this was intentionally done to swipe my package and force me to open a claim hoping for resolution.
I am appalled at their customer service at every level and feel truly bad for the outsourced workers who have to hear the bulk of our complaints (since all other contact info for UPS is private apart from one generic call center number). I don't know how UPS cannot be liable or responsible for such a high value item. How can they not find my package, how can they have lost it? Do they not have any oversight on drivers? Which driver had it last, make them compensate me or find my package!!! This has been the worst experience and would warn anyone to STAY away from UPS. I took 32 pictures in all of the unboxing using a tape measure to show a minimum of 4"s and max of 6"s of packing all the way around and 6-10"s of packing between layers. UPS had it shipped to Moncton NB on May the 23rd (yes it took them a month to pick up) for inspection and immediately blamed the shipper and said that they were going to send it back to him. Apparently the labels mean nothing. Their automated machines can't read.
After many calls they admitted on July the 2nd that they had lost the package (did I mention that it was a $2000 turntable). When contacted 2 weeks later there was no record of my call 2 weeks earlier, nobody could seem to make it past May on their computers. Too lazy to read? It is now August the 8th and the shipper still hasn't been reimbursed from UPS (16 weeks, I hope that they like the interest money from me and everyone else that they do this to WORLDWIDE). When the boxes arrived to Ithaca, one of them was not in the box I had packed it in--this was some beaten down box that wasn't a UPS labelled box. I opened the box, and all of my stuff was just shoved in there, whereas I had packed everything neatly. My hypothesis is that the original box was somehow damaged during shipping, and so they just shoved all my stuff in some other left over box. They never bothered to tell me why, even though I had provided contact information while paying for the shipping.
The irony is that I had packed the stuff in UPS's own boxes--which they say are supposed to be strong! But they don't seem to last shipping between Boston and New York! Some of my other boxes, which not bought from UPS and also had more stuff in them, turned out fine. I don't trust UPS cardboard boxes anymore. I had also paid $6 extra per box so that they would only be dropped off if someone signed for them. I wasn't there to sign for the boxes myself, but if I was, I would never have signed for the damaged box because of the poor condition it arrived in! I couldn't even recognize my own box!

I checked my answering machine, voice mail and email and came up with no contact whatsoever. I called customer service 2:00pm July 26 to inform them that no contact had been made for a delivery appointment. After apology, the agent promised to have someone from San Leandro contact me within the hour. That did not happen that day or the next, or at all.
I called back on July 30 to complain about the lack of contact and delivery scheduling. After apologies the agent asked to put me on hold while she contacted San Leandro to get me scheduled. After 15 minutes of holds, I was put in contact with a guy in San Leandro who asked me what I wanted. I asked if he had my tracking and delivery information and he said he did but he was not the scheduler, who was at that moment, busy. I asked if he could get it scheduled and he said "sure, when do you want it". I told him Friday afternoon, August 2 at 3:00pm. He said ok and confirmed my delivery address. I then received the following message: "07/30/2019 9:15 A.M. San Leandro, CA, United States A delivery appointment has been scheduled with the consignee." Feeling somewhat sure that I would have my delivery on Friday, I arranged for contractors to come Saturday to install the awning.
The delivery was never made Friday and I received no contact on any media. I had to cancel my contractor with no idea when the delivery would be made so I could reschedule. Today (August 3) I call "customer service" only to find they have no weekend customer contact. This has been, and remains one of the worst customer experiences I've had (and continue to have). Never had a problem until now...It's not a surprise as to why they didn't send it to the store for pick. It had been open. When the carrier scanned it he scanned it left a local UPS ready for pick. But really he delivered it to the front door. When I open the door I asked, "Why wasn't it delivered to the carrier state?" I may as well be asking the dirt on the ground. This is rude and disrespectful.
From now on I'm requesting all my seller ship my item through someone else because I refuse to have things stole from by a company that is supposed to be trustworthy. UPS NEED TO DO A BETTER BACKGROUND CHECK OF THEIR EMPLOYEES because they seem to be hiring criminals who steals people's hard earned money and I was in contact with their customers service and they were no help.

I had done a next day air return shipment of our Passport from Canada VFS through the UPS store, Colorado, USA. I waited for my package for two days thinking UPS might have loads of delivery to be taken care of but after many follow ups over phone - one of the supervisor (Mathew) from customer care helpline helped us in looking for the package and informed that the package has been misplaced so after this information we rushed to the UPS Customer center based in IVY street Commerce City. Further to our inquiry there we came to know that the package arrived on 07/23/2019 3:16 P.M. Commerce City, CO, United States and two days continuous arrival and destination scans were done on the package but it never went into the delivery van.
On July 25th evening we left our job in between and reached the Commerce City Customer center. The supervisor then called the driver and the driver informed that he does not have the package physically in the van, even though the destination Scan mentioning out for delivery was done physically by one of the employee on the same day, i.e. 07/25/2019 10:15 A.M. CO, Commerce City, USA. The UPS employees are acting so casual that it's like just a piece of paper which is lost and showing no responsibility towards it. It's very disappointing.

I have for years used UPS for shipping and receiving for both personal and business and been satisfied up until about 90 days ago. I have instructions on My Choice account on deliveries. Current driver chosed not to follow the instructions. A package was stolen. I reported it, the driver came to my residence about my claim. I stated he did not follow the instructions provided. He claimed that the access point for delivery was not available. He kept spouting lies about the access point not being available.
Few weeks later he insisted on a signature for a delivery that did not require one. He also stated 'no signature no delivery.' Another confrontation occurred. I reported both to the diver's supervisor. The supervisor disallowed the non performance of the driver to follow delivery instructions and displayed an I don't care attitude. I was to have two deliveries in the past week. They were not delivered. Today after complaining to Corporate HQ. I found out that I am a security risk. It took UPS 12 weeks to inform us the insurance claim on the damaged product was resolved, and that our company would be reimbursed for the damaged product. After an additional two weeks of not receiving reimbursement or notice from UPS, they then inform our company that the issue is not resolved, and is instead still pending review. 15 weeks later, our issue is no closer to resolution than it was the day it was filed. UPS has never made any effort to contact our company regarding status updates, questions, etc. All information regarding status updates we have only been able to obtain via physically visiting the UPS Store.
Our company would like the reimbursement of the damaged product within a timely manner. We were first informed by The UPS Store that the process would take no longer than 8 weeks. We are now entering the 16th week without resolution. The UPS Store informed our company that the insurance claim had been resolved in our favor, then decided to overturn that decision without any notification to our company. Upon resolution of this matter, our company will terminate all future business with The UPS Store.

We've been living in the same house for a year now, and for a year now, without fail, UPS delivers all our packages not to our house (FedEx and even USPS for crying out loud have zero issues coming to the house, mind you, so it's clearly not impossible), but to a frickin barn at a frickin winery a mile away from where we actually live. We started just checking the barn on our way home from anywhere if we got a delivery notification, since UPS couldn't seem to figure out where we actually live. So eventually, fed up with the whole scenario, I call customer service. I get bounced around from person to person, and they all tell me the same thing: "Sorry, nothing we can do. Don't know why that's happening." I have an important package coming, so I call again with the tracking number handy.
They tell me "that sucks, sorry that keeps happening, we'll just have to see where the driver leaves it." How is that an answer? I asked if there's anyway to ensure deliveries actually make it to our residence, and they told me the same thing: "Sorry, just have to see where the driver takes it, nothing we can do." I am beyond frustrated. I don't know if I should be mad at the customer service, the driver, or just the company in general, but I am mad. I am never using UPS again if I can help it. Best advice: ship with someone else. I shipped a package from Mpls. to Billings June 16th. Went online to check tracking. Stated "Out for Delivery". Was never delivered. It was thrown out. Thrown out. What! They claim it was leaking, and upon further investigation there was balsamic vinegar soaking the package, and everything needed to be thrown. Customer service actually told me the bottle broke leaving glass in the package so they had to throw it due to safety concerns. How the h-ll did it get that smashed???
Full disclosure: I did ship balsamic as part of the contents. But, I also bubble wrapped the crap out of the contents. Taped the box securely. Added extra insurance. So now the extra insurance I purchased on the contents is invalid because they are saying it was improperly packaged. I say they mishandled the package, leading to a crushed package that leaked. Either way I am screwed because they threw it out. No pictures. No package. No evidence. I can say I packaged it properly, but there is no way to prove it.
I shipped it from a UPS store near me.... If there were questions about how it was packaged why wasn't that brought up? They have been NO help. It is a she said/he said. What has been extremely frustrating is not once did UPS call me. Not to notify me of the package being damaged. Or thrown. Or the claim denied. I am pulling my hair out. Stay away from UPS- they do not stand behind their product or their customers!

I was in Vegas on Father’s Day visiting with my son. He and his wife bought me several antique road signs and old license plates. It was clearly opened on end slit with a sharp object just big enough to get one of the signs out. I say one because that’s what’s missing. The sign was purchased from a private owner for $60 off of FB Marketplace. The license tags were still in the box. If the bigger sign had “fell” out, the license plates would have fell out also.
Upon reporting to the UPS store, the guy was very nice and filled out the form. We didn’t hear anything for a couple of weeks so I wrote the store again. Updated on 08/22/2019: This store and UPS corporate both clearly stated that if the box was picked up at the empty apartment where it was wrongly delivered and the apartment management refused delivery, they would pick up the box and send it on. To date seven weeks after they made those statements and were told the apartment was refusing delivery, the box is still waiting for UPS to pick it up. No one at the apartment complex can apparently take it to be shipped. Thus for all purposes the incompetence and deceit on the part of UPS has defrauded my son out of $500 worth of merchandise.
Original Review: Worst service EVER! My son was moving from NAS Pensacola to the Navy base in Norfolk with a 10 day stop here in NC between duty stations. He made the mistake of shipping four packages from the UPS store on Bayou Blvd. in Pensacola to my address here in NC. The store in Pensacola made the labels and he was not given the opportunity to see them. One of the four packages they labeled such that it was shipped back to his empty apartment 2 miles from their store. They are unwilling to even attempt to get that package back or to make any restitution for the contents, claiming that it was his fault that their employee made the mislabel, refused to let him review the label, and no one even bothered to question why someone would ship something 2 miles away from their store.
BTW, the shipping paid was the same amount for that box delivered to an address 2 miles away as it was for each of the the other three boxes delivered in Cary, NC. We will be recommending to all his military contacts they they refrain from using UPS for packages - especially the store in Pensacola. Repeated attempts to contact them by both my son and myself have been met with rude responses and a complete unwillingness to make any attempt to correct THEIR employee's error. They are obviously unable to follow simple directions!

Never on time. UPS is the only delivery service that I have ever experienced issues with, and I experience these issue each time they are utilized. If you order a package to be shipped to a location on a specific day and are not there to pick it up, rather than leave the package or have an option to leave the package at a door, the driver will instead leave a "Sorry we missed you..." note that says your package will be delivered at an alternate location.
HOWEVER, that does not mean that they will instead deliver the package to the nearest UPS Pickup Location during the same day. I have consistently had to wait one or more days for my package to then be available at the UPS Pickup Point. Additionally, the tracking system is unhelpful, often giving vague "package will be delivered by end of day" statuses.
If I pay to have my package delivered to my door on a certain date, it should be ready at my door. If not that, then it should be ready at an alternate location at the very least. UPS does neither of these things. My latest package won't be available for a full three business days after the original delivery date. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

It happens every time: I realize the shipper's going to screw me with UPS shipping, so I pay for expedited shipping because I know I'll never see my package if I don't. Tracking numbers show my orders sitting in a UPS warehouse for 2-4 days, presumably waiting on the employees there to stop twiddling their thumbs or huffing spray paint long enough to function as adults for a bit, which nullifies my two days every single time. Upon arrival there's no apology nor refund for the breach of contract that comes with delivering a package far later than what should have been guaranteed by the higher price. There is only disappointment with a company that's been around long enough to figure out how to do all of this right, yet still hasn't and likely never will.
Bottom line: UPS is the Comcast of the shipping industry. Sometimes I wish incompetence to this degree would be made illegal, just so I could watch people that get paid more than me for what amounts to the quality of work typically produced by second graders and ** heads get locked up and fed prison Jell-O. However, since that will never happen, I strongly recommend that you, the reader, do everything you can to avoid having to wait on UPS to pick all the snot from its collection of noses before handling your shipments. If you're dealing with private sellers, insist that they use a different provider. If you have the option to get 3-7 day standard shipping from USPS, go with it- that's how long you'd be waiting on UPS to make a two-day, next-day, or overnight delivery anyways, and it won't cost you the promise of your first-born child to actually get something delivered on time.

UPS, I have to say that I am very disappointed with the customer service that you have set up in the Greater Toronto Area. I paid my brokerage and import fees online Friday morning so that my package could be delivered (as scheduled) that day. The package was not left at my door as the drivers typically don't like to leave parcels. They have before, so I'm not sure why this driver in particular didn't. I called UPS and explained my issue. The customer service agent told me to write my name on the back of the delivery notice and attach it to my door, showing that I hereby give the driver permission to leave the package on my doorstep. So I did. Sadly, you don't deliver on weekends in Ontario (not sure about the rest of Canada's regulations), so I am already waiting until Monday for my parcel. But I have faith that it will come. It doesn't.
Monday rolls around and this time the package isn't delivered because the driver is checking off that I haven't paid the brokerage fee. Which I have. So I call UPS customer service again. They advice me to sign the back of THAT slip too and tape it to the door. So I do. Which brings me to today. Conveniently, someone in my family was home for part of the day and was able to meet the driver at the door for my parcel. But imagine my surprise when the driver tells my family member that I still haven't paid the brokerage fee (EVEN THOUGH I HAVE!). Ridiculous! My family member tried to argue that I had, but the driver insisted that they pay. When my family member said they only had cash on them, the driver said he couldn't take cash and drove away.
So for the third time in three business days, I call UPS customer service. And I am understandably livid. I shouldn't have paid extra for fast shipping if I had to deal with this run-around behaviour. The customer service agent today looks into my file, confirms that I have paid the brokerage fee, and says they tried contacting my driver to tell him to deliver my package today. But they can't reach him or explain he's turned off his cell phone. They forward me to official dispatch, who tell me that they also try and contact the driver but can't. They assure me that my package will be delivered by 4:45 pm TODAY.
They also add that they will give me a courtesy call within the hour to confirm that I do want the package delivered today "no matter what". Then they hang up. I wait until my lunch break is over, which gives UPS 1.5 hours of a timeframe to call me back. They don't. And when I get home tonight at midnight, after a very long day and evening, there is no package on my doorstep.
I can confidently say that this has been the worst experience with customer service and a delivery company in my life. I was really looking forward to this delivery and now it's been delayed and delayed, all because a driver has been given or is accessing misinformation, and customer service cannot contact him. Get yourself together, UPS! (Oh, and by the way, none of the invoice numbers on my packing slips were registered either and the digital customer service assistant kept telling me that my package hadn't been shipped yet... Well, obviously it has if I'm getting an invoice delivery notice saying "Sorry, we missed you!"
To be quite frank, I will never use UPS again if I can help it. Absolutely ridiculous and it is now 3 business days after I was supposed to receive my "express" package. Shame on your customer service team for hanging up and not trying to do more for the customer's needs. My package had better arrive tomorrow... I'm tired of waiting and fearful of it being sent back for lack of delivery. I don't pay my hard-earned money on product just so that it can drive all around the GTA because a driver and a customer service team can't communicate effectively. Ridiculous and upsetting.

I am usually a big fan of UPS -- polite drivers, delivery on time and undamaged. Maybe that's because most of what I receive from UPS is not time critical. But on this day, I'm about to pull out my hair. As a small business, our single copier is critical to our business. Our copier provider sent a toner waste cartridge on Friday. (As you know, if the toner waste cartridge is full, no copies or printing can be done, no receiving faxes, etc.) Monday at noon, I still had no package. Sender said that their UPS tracking didn't give details about where package was. I went online to track package, and the system stopped tracking before "delivery" with no explanation about any problems.
I tried to call to get more details (good luck with that!?!) and was told by a computer voice I could pick up the package Monday evening, but that I would receive a call within an hour to verify that I could pick it up. No one called me to tell me the package was where I could pick it up. Went online this morning to try to pick it up early today --- guess what? It's on a truck for delivery "sometime today before 8 pm" even though the tracking info now clearly says that "customer will pick up." Arrggghhh! So I am a small business into Day 3 with no printer, copier -- and no ability to talk to anyone at UPS other than a robo-system that "is experiencing technical difficulties today. Please call again later."

I signed up for a UPS business account for shipping of raw materials for my business. The experience has been one disaster after another, all of the way to the invoicing of the shipment. Invoices are sent via paper and in my case, the invoice never arrived. When I went online, my balance was showing as current/$0.00 owed. Yet I received a paper bill for a late payment fee. I had to call 4 different departments and was on the phone with UPS for 1.5 hours and my issue still isn't resolved. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that each department had their own manager and that no one person had insight or oversight of the whole process. I am closing my account with UPS and will find another carrier who understands their business processes and offers customer service that actually results in a resolution. Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!!

We wanted to import a small package of 8 lbs from Germany to the US. UPS charged 100 USD for keeping our package of 8 lbs in a warehouse for 5 days because it was on hold for FDA release. All the documents and FDA numbers were provided together with the paperwork. They told me that it is no matter how big your package is. They charge 20 USD per day for 1 lb or for 80 lbs. They don't care. The value of the shipment was 100 USD but at the end it was more than double the price because UPS has these high additional costs. They want to take advantage of FDA and customs issues. This is definitely a no go! I am very unsatisfied with this service!

I ordered something from U.S.A. to be delivered in the UK. I payed $130 for delivery plus additional 102GBP for taxes and custom fees. That's not the issue here. The problem is that I called ahead to schedule a delivery and pay my taxes and we end up scheduling the delivery for next day in the morning. So I took off work for a few hours as I was waiting to receive my parcel.. I was ready the whole morning for someone to contact me. No email, no phone call, no ring bell nothing. Then I go online and I see that there was a failed attempt to deliver made. What?
They could have called me, emailed me, they could have ring my room from the front gate, or they could have gone to the reception and have them contact me. ZERO!! They did none of those things. Then when I call them they have the nerve to tell me with a straight face to go pick it up from their store. Are you crazy? Would you pay an additional 25GBP for an UBER to go back and forth and pick it up when you already pay that amount of money for delivery? That beats the whole purpose of delivery. I think it's disgusting and not professional. What a shame.

I cannot believe the terrible service I've received and the stress I've been through because of UPS. I called them on June 18 to let them know that I needed my shipment to be held and delivered after July 1st as I had not moved in yet to the delivery address (items bought on Best Buy that told me that I could pick any day for delivery, which was not true). Their agent tracked my shipment but told me that he could not change the delivery date at that time as the items were currently being labeled. I stressed the urgency of the situation, telling him I don't live at that place yet, and could not afford to notify them of the change too late. He told me it's never too late as the driver can be notified at any time of the change. Delivery was not scheduled until June 25-27, so I had time to call them back and make the change.
Today (June 19) I received an email notification that the items had been delivered!! I totally panicked not knowing what had happened to my items. I had ordered 2 pieces of furniture, not just some small cheap item. Let me tell you what happened. The items were taken to the address where I don't live in (despite my communication with their agent less than 24h before), the current tenant not sure about what was going opened the door for them and they dumped the furniture at the lobby and then just left before he even had a chance to go downstairs and talk to them. Luckily for me he was kind enough to agree to keep the furniture in his apartment until I move in.
Then the 2 of us had to transport more than 80 lbs up to the 4th floor (no elevator in the building), risking to actually being injured, as the building management does not allow items left in the lobby. This is the most outrageous thing that has happened to me and I'm taking this complaint to the highest level possible as well as posting on all available forums.

UPS brokers services is useless. Most service representative can't speak English properly, so you can't understand what they are says. If you ask simple questions, like how long they hold a package before returning to sender, the answer is "I can't tell you that". If you ask them to look up package being held, but you don't have the package number (because their voicemail was left with such a heavy accent that you can't understand it), they say too bad.

I am a professional artist and I made the mistake of using UPS to ship a painting to a customer. I asked that it be packed carefully and the corners double wrapped, but they did not pack it properly and it arrived damaged. Despite the near $400 that I spent on insurance, they are now saying they need to inspect the packing materials in order for us to make a claim. I made the point that even had it been packaged properly, they clearly damaged it anyway in the shipping.
It is a scam that they charge so much for the insurance, and then refuse to pay anything when they damage the item. That is the reason I bought the insurance in the first place, and when I brought it to the UPS store I said I was worried about the edges and corners being damaged. No one bothered saying that we would need to keep the packing materials in case they were, in order to make a claim. I will not be using UPS in the future, and I will make sure to spread the word that they are incompetent, unprofessional, and deceitful.

Since I paid for Two Day Air, there was no need for a Saturday delivery if they had delivered it on time. They have no interest in helping their customers with situations that were created by UPS incompetence. Local UPS delivery drivers refuse to follow simple delivery instructions as provided on their own website. "UPS My Choice" provides instructions to deliver to my front door and also provides a code to open a gate on my driveway. I tried talking to the driver supervisor at the local distribution center, but will never do that again. She was the rudest person I have ever encountered.... extremely unprofessional.
A few months ago I found the business card of the manager of that location in my mailbox. That violated federal law. The gate does not reduce the width of my driveway and in no way prevents the delivery trucks from reaching my house since they have the keypad code to open it. It opens automatically for exit. They know all of this. They also know that we are both handicapped, which is the reason for the delivery instructions to our front door.

I wish you could give negative reviews. My 74y/o father was being scammed and sent money through UPS in a plain envelope from the bank stuffed with money. He brought it to UPS and told them it was picture frames. Now I say "he" did this, but really the scammers told him to. So UPS sent the packages. As soon as I found out I spent the weekend calling UPS 20+ times to stop the delivery of the packages. Tracking them with the code. It got to the point of when I called the service line and gave the tracking code the response I got was "We are aware this package is part of a fraud and should be sent back."
So come Monday morning, I again frantically called UPS to make sure they were sending the packages back. I was successfully able to stop the delivery of the packages. I got a call from a supervisor informing me they have the packages and were sending them back. A couple of days go by, and I call to inquire about the packages, they then tell me there was some confusion. So.... in the end, my Dad lost a big chunk of his pension. Even though every time I was on the phone with UPS I said to them the packages were part of a fraud scheme. All I've gotten from UPS is, we're so sorry, the packages shouldn't have been delivered. We don't know what happened. That's it. No one of importance will follow up with us. It's so frustrating. If I had money I would sue them because it's obvious UPS is part of a fraud scam. They should be held liable for everything they've cost our family.

I called UPS Customer Service (888) 742-5877 on Monday June 3, 2019 approximately 12:00 p.m./noon and spoke with representative "Selena" (my phone records can validate) concerning a delivery in transit to me associated with an EBAY purchase, that the seller had made 2 mistakes in my address and was not responding to my contact attempts for corrections to be made, so I decided to do so myself. "Selena" proceeded to tell me my package was "undeliverable" since there was more than 1 change which was all I was allowed to change. I explained that 1 change could suffice and that the second was just an extra precaution of my just wanting a phone number included with the address to avoid any issues with delivery but if the 1 actual error needed change was made the delivery should be successful.
No matter how many times I attempted to say 1 change would be appreciated and solve my reason for contact "Selena" repeated the package was "undeliverable" and that I was not "listening to her". After at least 5 times of this being repeated she told me she could put a supervisor on to tell me the same since I was "not hearing what she had clearly explained several times now". I agreed that I would be glad to speak to someone else concerning my "only 1 change needed". I was put on hold for well over 13 minutes at which time I chose to hang up and see if I could do anything within the site since I did sign up for "UPS Choice" privileges when tracking a previous delivery.
The site was so confusing and just took me in a maze only leading me thru ongoing descriptions of services offered for all types of alterations that can be made but never found where I could actually initiate none, so again I was back at entering the tracking number for at least the 10th time when I find that at 12:17 p.m. "my delivery had been intercepted for return by the sender"! I was put on hold by "Selena" at about 12:17 p.m.?
I am at a loss of belief that this has happened and just wandering if they can determine exactly who within their system actually handled my call and if "Selena" can be held accountable for the change if the seller follows-up with affirmation that she did not make that return request, in addition to my phone records validation it was myself on the phone communication with them at the time the "very suspicious intercept" occurred and only the sender can make a return interception with information only they have as the sender.
When I attempted with a following call to ask these questions myself I was treated with the same "helpful attitude" as experienced from "Selena". One last addition, the "intercept" adds a charge of $10.00 to the delivery costs regardless of who/where the package gets delivered now (which also assures me the seller would not have wanted to assume along with not having to refund me for an undelivered purchase). I know a "lesson was learned" from this experience by me as far as carriers of my future shipping/delivery preferences will be specifically noted "DO NOT USE"!

Like every other person in America I've used UPS multiple times when needing to ship something. Also have had many items shipped to me by UPS at the customer's request. Their estimated window of delivery time is always inaccurate. Starts by reporting one day. That day comes and goes no package. They report again there's been a delay or just a new delivery day. Then gives you a four hour window that is also never correct. Today I was told between 11 and 3:30. It's currently 4:30 and now says by end of the day. I won't hold my breath.
I've had multiple packages missing items. One example is two motorcycle tires I ordered. It was clear two were shipped by the package yet only one arrived. Not sure if the piss poor service is because I'm a residential customer or just bad luck. Needless to say moving forward I'll never chose them as an option to send or receive anything. I've received better more reliable and accurate shipping from the USPS. And that's just sad. Goodbye brown but you're dodo....

Apparently since I was not home on Friday 5/31, UPS delivered to an Access Point at 1:19 PM that same day, in which I received an email stating proof of delivery and initials of the manager there signing off on my package. I go to pick up the package 6/1 around 11AM and he informed me it wasn’t there. Why would it not be there when he signed off on receiving it and I get an email stating I have 7 days to pick it up. I call the store around 430PM to see if they have found it or received it and he informed me no. I filed an investigation this morning on 6/3 with UPS and let the sender know, they are in contact with UPS as well.
This is a $500 package, this should not have happened. I need my package, where did it randomly disappear to? Did someone walk in and take it off the table or did someone steal it, or is it damaged somewhere? Absolutely ridiculous. The investigation apparently takes 1-8 business days, hopefully they can figure it out or I’ll be needing to see some cameras.

Whatever happened to good customer service? My daughter is receiving necessary medications that she has shipped to my home since I telecommute for work and am therefore available for the necessary signature. The driver, however, refuses to ring the doorbell for delivery. If the intent of your services are only to deliver to your local office where recipients must go to pick up their packages, then you should make that clear as the service being paid for includes delivery TO THE DOOR! This is an unacceptable practice. My doorbell works as does knocking and I have 3 dogs that will alert me when you’re here so I can sign for the package. Leaving a note to make it look like you tried to deliver the package is just a lie. Please do your job.

I ordered a Peavey Windsor guitar amp a week ago, and arrived to me today. For those who do not know, Tube amps come in multiple components. One such component is the transformer, which converts the wall power into power the amp can use. These transformers are big and bulky, and usually make up most of the weight of the amp. Somewhere along the line, they managed to SNAP OFF THE TRANSFORMER'S HOUSING. No, they didn't snap the screws that held the housing in place, they snapped the transformer housing, so it was hanging loose, inside the amp, from its wires.
Such a repair, considering the part and labor, would cost me more than the actual amp itself, which was 250. ON TOP OF THAT, the Peavey Windsor is a discontinued amp, so it isn't like the part can be easily found, and if I wanted a new one, I'd have to pay MORE MONEY for an amp that would more than likely suffer the same fate at the hands of UPS's drivers. So, thanks UPS, you did a wonderful job at converting a $250 dollar, 100 watt, discontinued guitar amp, into the world's most needlessly large paperweight.

I'm currently online with UPS. While there is 'no information' it is clear that I'm being lied to. We chose an expensive service because it is my passport. I'm flying tomorrow out of the country. UPS promised to have it to me today. The tracking information still says it should be here 5 hours ago but it seems my package never left Pennsylvania. Not that the operator actually knows this. Sure. If I don't have my passport I can't fly and lose thousands. And UPS responds cavalierly by giving no real answers and some script about how they get that this is a problem and yadayada.
UPS has been lying about the arrival of the package since yesterday as it would have had to be updated if it wasn't picked up and would not be here today. That's a fact. It still states it is arriving. I was just transferred and the supervisor acted again as if no information is available. Why the lies? My computer screen still says it is arriving today at noon! Before I begin I was trying to give no stars, but the lowest you can give is one star. My recommendation DO NOT USE UPS-- poor service, unaccountable, irresponsible and poor customer service. I will give only two examples: I mailed a box from a New York City Store on the Upper West Side, a box of Christmas gifts to my granddaughters in Atlanta. As I kept tracking it, it didn't arrive. I called customer service and was told it was out for delivery (this showed on the tracking for 5-6 days). When the package finally arrived days before Christmas the box was soaking wet, had been opened, gifts removed, other gifts put back damaged and the box re-taped and left on my son's doorstep without an explanation.
I called UPS and was told they are sorry, but not their problem, first warning bell, then I was told they are not responsible since they have no notation that anything happened to the box. So I sent pictures of the wet box and damaged products and filed a claim. But alas the claim is not handled by UPS corporate, but the NYC store which is independently owned and not supported by UPS corporate. Well it is May 24 and I'm still waiting for a refund. Not really :( I don't think I'm getting any refund and I don't have time to keep tracking this down.
Another son who lives in Atlanta went into a UPS store yesterday and mailed a document to me to be delivered overnight by 10:30 am today and no delivery. I dutifully tracked the package which said ALL DAY, long past the 1030 promised delivery, that it would be delivered. After a 45 minute call at 8:30 pm with UPS corporate who denied any responsibility, of course I was told they were sorry, but they couldn't help me.
The customer service center was closed until Tuesday and so my package would not be delivered until Tuesday. So a package with documents needed by today will now sit in a UPS service center until Tuesday because of failure on the part of the UPS delivery person. Although, I did receive another UPS package today so why not all my packages. Same old story, my son will have to file a claim to get back his money. I wonder if he will ever see that refund. Lastly, I was told you'll have it Tuesday. We will see. In summary, use the United States Postal Service.

Sterling, Va, The worst experience of my life with UPS. Your drivers are incompetent. I send packages to Ashburn address frequently. They are always sent to wrong location or not received. This past experience your UPS drivers shoving a packing into a locker and they gave us the code to retrieve the package from the locker. The code would not open the locker. UPS basically said the case closed today& UPS acted like we don't have the code or don't know how to use it or we did in fact get box and not being honest. Whatever their problem is.
After further investigation I figured out that the UPS driver shoved/forced large package in a locker in the apartment complex and had it open long enough to cause it to go into error mode. I finally called the owner of the Lockers and got the IT department to open the locker remotely. BTW - You did not solve this problem. And your phone reps are worthless at UPS and everyone involved gave me the run around for 2 days. My time is valuable. PROBLEM SOLVED NOT BY YOU BUT BY THE SENDER WHO SPENT 2 DAYS TRYING TO TRACK THE PACKAGE.
ALSO, There was another package which was out for delivery by your drivers last night by Sterling facility. Suddenly, they said could not be delivered and there was a schedule change late last night. I contacted UPS about this and UPS said the package could not be delivered there was a problem with the truck or some BS story with equipment. It is so crazy -- When the locker was opened today remotely to pick up the other lost package the family noticed the 2nd delivery that was supposed to be late due to truck problems was on the floor and not in any locker. UPS said it could not be delivered before Thursday. Another lie.
A Thursday delivery date was set up. ****The amazon package was delivered and on the floor and you lied. There was no problem with the truck. There is a problem with a lazy driver that just dumped packages on the floor of the locker room in an insecure location. Sure they have cameras but anyone could take those boxes. Thank god the family was there today to see that you did in fact deliver and dump the other delivery on the floor. Your service is horrible and your divers are protected by the Union. The Sterling Location is the worst and you have ongoing problems which must be resolved. Everyone is talking about packages being dumped at wrong addresses all the time. That is way more time than needed to move the package to West Sacramento, then Rancho Cordova for delivery to my UPS Store. At 10:00 PM, a one business day delay for severe weather was imposed. Weather in nearby Oakland was 57 degrees, skies less than 20% clouds, wind 9.9 mph and 0% chance of rain.
Today I tracked my package multiple times. It arrived in West Sacramento at 1:19 AM today, but was never transported to Rancho Cordova for delivery. I received an email that my package was delivered and left at my front door. Two problems right there: 1) I was home, near my door, and no one even knocked on it; and 2) Left at front door? If I don't answer my UPS preferences are set to leave my packages at my back door. I checked my front door - my package wasn't there. Checked my back door - my package also wasn't there. So very obviously this incompetent delivery man left my package at someone else's house and not even in the right place! I called their Support number, which you can't even get a person until you hit a bunch of random numbers on purpose in hopes that someone will see there's a malfunction that requires human assistance.
The woman was kind and took down my info stating that the dispatcher will contact me within an hour. The only decent thing they did was actually contact me within the hour. I was told that they won't have any information regarding my package until the following morning because the driver has to come back and download their daily deliveries. How is that going to help me when this person delivered my package to the wrong house assuming it was MY house? They said if they see any discrepancies on their GPS they'll attempt to retrieve my package. Again, this doesn't help me if he delivered my package to someone else on my street.
I asked, "If you don't retrieve my package, how are you going to reimburse me for it?" They told me I have to take it up with the shipper (Amazon) and then they'll deal with Amazon. Excuse me, but... HOW is this Amazon's fault? Amazon did their job! They sent me the package I ordered. It was the UPS driver who couldn't fulfill his job requirements! After this call with this incompetent person (it must be a qualification for hire), I tried to file a claim on the UPS website, and only received an error message that I couldn't file a claim left. UPS, YOU ARE A JOKE.

It's truly unimaginable how awful this company is. I've been staying home from work for two days now to get a medicine delivery which they, apparently, delivered to the wrong address, accepting some other persons' signature for mine, and now can't find. They have no regard for business customers interests or the fragile lives of consumers who depend on a delivery service to get vital medication, valuable documents etc. If any industry is ready for disruption by the next generation of smarter minds who just won't put up with it it's this one. Dismantle this dinosaur. No delivery service is better than this kind of delivery service.

These people are lazy, not well organized. I was supposed to receive 2 packages and I paid for a fast shipping, they said that the address was wrong but it was not the case. They rescheduled the delivery for the next day and the next day they delivered only one package and rescheduled again the second package for the next day. I called them and they said I told them that I was going to pick up the package by myself! Something I have never said. I would I chose to pick up one and let them deliver the other one? It’s either I pick them both myself or they deliver both packages!
I called them early in the morning of my delivery day to make sure that I’ll get everything, they assure me that yes, but unfortunately this was a waste of time. This is some **. Why would you deliver one package today and the other tomorrow for the same address and the same due date delivery? This is not Professional! Use your brain! You guys need to improve your customer service skills!

UPS can you PLEASE get your drivers to provide a higher level of service?! Just today I placed an Amazon return on my porch as I had numerous times previously (with a note clearly stating it was for UPS pickup), and happened to pull up at the same time the driver was dropping off other packages. Before I could get my THREE young children (ages 3 to 7) out of the car, the driver walks away WITHOUT taking the package and instead left the pickup label within SIX INCHES of the package he was to pick up.
I attempted to get him to stop and all he did was honk and wave, then proceed to drive off as quickly as possible. Now after 20 minutes on the phone I'm faced with either paying what the return item is worth to get another pickup, or taking all three of my children to a UPS store... Also, I have all of this on video courtesy of my doorbell camera. Very poor, no, nonexistent customer service. I will be using FedEx and USPS for all my business and personal shipping needs going forward.

I ordered from Macy’s and UPS sent an email that the package was delivered. When it was not there, I called Macy and they insisted that the package was delivered, so I cancel the order, only for the package to be delivered the following evening so they are also liars. Now on the 17th of April I ordered from Old Navy and never receive my package. I called Old Navy today 05/07 to be told that the package was delivered at my front door on 04/26. I was home all day and no package was delivered, and I still yet to receive that package. Thank God Old Navy refund me my money. I don’t know what’s going on with UPS but if I place an order and they tell that they are delivering my package, I certainly won’t place that order. They are very unreliable and dishonest, and there is no customer service rep to talk to either. Never using them anymore.

I called UPS last night to schedule a delivery for a different date. Customer service told me to go to their site to make the change and offered to walk me through the site. Their site didn't show the package so then the rep put a hold on my package and told me to call their technical support the following day. Now I find out that because they put a hold on the package it cannot be delivered at all and they told me to call the seller. The seller says that the only thing that they can do is to issue a refund once they get the package back. The package was for Mother's Day.

I have 2-day delivery. The receipt said the package would arrive between the 3rd and the 6th of May. It is now the 7th and they "think" it will arrive today by 8 pm. That would be great if it was 1965 and tracking numbers didn't exist. Apparently, if I had ordered 1 day shipping, they would be capable of providing a more specific time frame. That's poppycock since the same driver/truck delivers to the same area no matter the urgency with which I order.
The lateness is a mild concern as I've never held any delusions about UPS's promptness. My issue is that I can't call the depot to try to ascertain a less broad time frame. The depot has the driver's numbers and the drivers/depot staff know the routes and when they're usually in what area. So I know they'd be aware of about when they'd deliver around my address. Wholly unhelpful all around. One of the customer service reps was incredibly polite so I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. If you provide a tracking service, 12 hours is an atrociously broad timeframe to give a customer. You could just say it will be here on such and such date and not pretend tracking numbers are useful or some great thing that actually means I'll know when my package will be delivered. Long story short, UPS is usually late and tracking numbers are nonsensical propaganda.

May 6, 2019. I got timed off and waiting for the UPS driver to pick up my Amazon return. I was just sitting in my living room and put my window blinds open to see people outside. I saw the UPS truck and the driver walking away from my house, I immediately ran outside then called him out loud for many times and he just drove the car and left. I called Amazon customer service the guy was helpful and contact UPS if they can come back for me, when UNKNOWN number called me and told me UPS really doesn’t knock and I just have to leave items outside. Like seriously? Telling me “Yeah we don’t do that, we don’t knock” she’s not helpful at all. I called Amazon customer service again and charged me shipping fee to send the driver to pick up my item again, guess what? This time they knock and wait for me to open the door. BECAUSE I PAID FOR IT. I told the driver I was calling you and you just left. What a trick!

I filed 4 complaints earlier this year because the driver was entering my home. Without permission. Now the driver last 3 deliveries is not delivering. Driver is changing the delivery to say I'm requesting to hold for pick up instead of delivering to my front porch. Today's package was out for delivery all day then at 553 pm he took it back to the location saying I wanted it that way. I have screenshots.
Driver is mad I filed complaints and I don't want him in my home so now tomorrow will for sure be the 4th time he's gonna do it again. Today was the 3rd time he's done this. This is now harassment because I don't want him to come in my home. He's mad and not delivering. I've spoke to customer service every time and Rashad at the driver's location and was guaranteed this would stop. Today was medication for my 19 yr old dog so he's refusing my dog medical attention. Tomorrow is allergy medication for my horse. Proof before it happens when I said to deliver I never said to hold any packages.
Stop this crap and deliver my packages. I pay for your services to deliver my packages to my front porch. If your driver has issue with my not wanting him inside my home, then maybe he should no longer work for UPS. He was never invited into my home. Every single package has clearly stated leave on front porch... not my garage, or my laundry room. Deliver my packages as paid for and as scheduled. At no time ever do I ever or have I ever said hold for pick up. No packages should ever be held for pick up.

These guys are unbelievable. Avoid this company if you need something sent expeditiously. I sent a package to the Philippines that had an address that was a little off, so they couldn't deliver it. You would think that they would contact me to get a correct address, but they didn't. When I tracked the package because it was late, it said it was sitting in a warehouse for a couple of days. So I called the store from where it was sent and they could only give me the number for the international part of the company.
When I talked to a lady in the intern'l division, she tells me that they can correct the address, but it could take up to 2 days. Wait...what?? I couldn't take that chance, because this was time sensitive, so I told her my fiancee would pick it up at the store. The only problem here is that she didn't have an address to tell me where to pick it up. Again, wait...what??? How do you not have an address for a store in your own company. She also doesn't tell me that the Philippine office is CLOSED FOR 5 DAYS FOR LABOR DAY. How do they not know this stuff? So, obviously the package wasn't available for pick up because the office was closed. This caused us to have to re-schedule our appointment and cost me about $700 in expenses.
The ineptness and lack of concern of the employees of this company truly amaze me. With the technology of today, they should have access to the addresses and business hours, including holidays, of their counterparts overseas. To me this is inexcusable. I will never do business with UPS again. I paid over $120 to get some paperwork delivered and nobody seemed to care that it wouldn't be on time. Their customer service is horrible and they don't have a clue about their own company.

Shipped a time sensitive document to an Insurance company in Des Moines, IA. They delivered to a completely different address in the next town over-Urbandale. Had to get my client to sign the official document a second time. They sent it to the wrong address AGAIN... though this time in Des Moines-So they are getting closer. Both airbills had the correct address. And both went to the wrong address and they cannot tell me yet, WHO they delivered the envelopes to at those addresses. Did I mention the document is time sensitive?! Nightmare!!

I have tried several times to get the contact information of a manager and or a local person I can talk to about problems with our service. I get told that someone will call me within an hour, or within a day and no one does. This has happened 5 times in the past 45 days. When I have a truck not show up for our normal pickups for customer, I have NO ONE to reach out to get them here. Then I have overnight packages sitting on my DOCK and angry customers. The customer service I have in these cases NOT received is appalling.

I ordered some shoes from Kohl's (which I work at) and they came in today 5/2/19. The bag was sitting out in the rain (note we do have a little overhang at the door) and ripped in several spots and the box was beaten and looked like they gave no care. I know Kohl's only goes through UPS (and if we get a bad box for shoes we replace it with our own) so it was their handling. On top of that (not today because I came home to the package) most the drivers here never knock or ring the doorbell to notify me. I usually hear them talking whether on their phone or to coworkers by radio. They are fast but wow the care they put into delivering is just poor.

Holy cow...I don't know how UPS stays in business. Where I live the UPS store and the United States Post Service are on opposite sides of the parking lot. UPS charges 85.00 for a 1 pound package with 2 day service. USPS ONLY charges 16.00 for the same exact service. Why would I want to spend 400% more for the exact same service. How does UPS stay in business when they charge 400% more than the USPS???? I think I am going to go back to the UPS Store with a sign stating people can save up too 400% if they just go to the end of the parking lot. UPS...you are nothing but a complete rip off. In addition, at the Post Office they can actually answer questions. At the UPS store all the employees could do is refer me to their website. So, with UPS you get higher prices (400%) and the employees who have so little training all they know is how to open their hands and take your money... James ** Esq. (Retired).
