Had paid extra for package delivery by a specific day and once again it didn’t arrive. It was supposed to have been a gift a gift for my grand child before they had to leave town. Very disappointed. Earlier the same week l had made arrangements to pick up different packages at the local UPS distribution center. I received an email stating it had arrived and I could pick it up that morning or afternoon. Upon my arrival all doors were locked. After circling the facility pounding on doors a person appeared and told me she could not retrieve my packages that were sitting just inside the door. Only a union employee could pick them up and hand them to me. Apparently she was non union. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Customers do not have time to play this game. From now on it’s USPS or FEDEX for me.

Drivers have marked a package delivered when it was not, this week a delivery was marked "picked up" and my name entered as the one, and then the same day marked as "delayed". Drivers do not leave a sticker that they attempted a delivery, and ignore a sign to leave a package downstairs if we are not in. On another call to a supervisor on another delivery this week resulted in the supervisor telling me the packages were at the shipment station, but at the station 2 minutes later the counter person said the packages were on a truck out for delivery; when it was escalated on the phone to another supervisor because this would be a loss of business, that supervisor found the packages were in fact at the station and they were moved to an employees desk so they could be found when I returned to the station to pick up.

Numerous times we have been told one story, only to find it was not true. Due to the nature of our business we are in and out of the office, we do not have problems with other delivery services, only UPS as they are unwilling to "tag notice" the door or take the package downstairs to the suite we have designated on the sign at our door.

I have received a package which should have gone to someone in Hercules, Ca. USA.. Instead I received this large box yesterday in Whitby, On. Canada. I had ordered a product and that company used UPS for shipping. I received that item on 10 Dec. 2019. I received a large box with that same tracking number yesterday. I had not ordered anything from the shipping company, and they covered up some of the label with the person receiving this package. There are at least 3 other labels on this package one which is a ERROR label, and then my duplicate label.

I spent all day trying to get this picked up from UPS. And I was told it was scheduled for pickup today between 9:00 am - 11:00 am. And it wasn't picked up. I called again to UPS and was informed that there is no return request, and no pick up was scheduled and no answer to how to get rid of this because a UPS pick up/drop off location may not accept the package. This UPS service is unacceptable, and what happened to their Privacy policy. I was able to find out who this is going to, and their personal address. So I still have this box I don't want, and no way of returning it. UPS SUCKS!!!!

Less than 1 star would be more appropriate. If you transpose your address and the address that you accidentally type in does not have an actual post office box or even a HOUSE for that matter, don't you worry, UPS will just deliver it to the "close enough" address next to the non existent address to which the package is addressed. Also, if you have a package that has to be signed for and they send you a text message telling you that the package will be delivered between 3 pm and 7 pm, you should probably start sitting outside waiting for it from about 11:30am.

The window is only an expected time and the UPS delivery driver WILL NOT knock on your door to inform you that they are there with your package, but you will have to be nice when going to the store to get the issue of the non delivered package, because if you are not very nice to the lady behind the counter, she will tell you that she will delay the reattempted delivery for said package. What happened to customer service? What happened to ACTUALLY KNOCKING on the door when a package requires a signature. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I SEEN SUCH CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE OR WORK ETHIC. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!!!!

Worst customer experience ever. I have been on the phone for four days with UPS over a parcel they cannot find. It is four days late. No apology no outcome. All they say is, "We’re very busy. We will let you know when it’s on its way. We can’t page the driver and can’t see on our system." How can you lose a package or not be able to contact a driver in the age of computers and mobile phones? Never use UPS. Ever.

Then it was loading dock was closed, it was not. Then they created a guard shack at the facility, which they do not have. I spoke to multiple representatives and a delivery manager (claimed they were) with no resolution. I spoke to the client and they were open and so was the loading dock. I was ghosted by the driver is what happened and UPS even went as far as to not refund the money for services they never delivered on. You're better off using other companies or services than to use UPS, they steal, lie and cheat in order to make money and deliver poor customer service.

The package arrived in Parsippany office on a Friday morning via overnight mail. It was supposed to be delivery by 10am on Friday but didn't arrive until the following Tuesday. During that period, they made an attempt to delivery at 11pm on Friday, really?? Do they think an office building would be open at 11pm on a Friday??? When they missed it on Friday, you'd think they would deliver it first thing Monday morning? Nope! I was on the phone with UPS help desk, it was no help. The service rep didn't have more information than what I have via delivery tracking. I will never use them again for business (if I have a choice), definitely not personal matter.

UPS appears to engages in a billing scam, and yes Virginia, they may have had a class action lawsuit in 2007...and seem to be back to their old tricks. Lot of caveats. Anyway the UPS sales rep told me today that UPS rounds UP dimensions a hair or fraction above. So 48.00000000001 become 49 inches. And then they slap on peak fees, surcharges, oversize fees and you name it. I am going to contest all their audits going back six months. And request their scans and calibrations and how they round up. They don't comply. I am calling a class action lawyer. I am a certified fraud examiner...and I approve this message. I measured four 48 packages today and none were over 48.5 inches. Not even close. Then the rep told me it was anything over 48.01. What a crock.

UPS is the worst shipping company that I’ve had to deal with. I will take Amazon or Fedex over UPS any day. After 2 weeks, my package still has not arrived. My daughter’s Christmas gift was supposed to arrive on 12/5/19. Due to snow, it was delayed for 2 days; this I don’t fault them for but everything else has been downhill since then. I was supposed to be delivered on Friday, didn’t happen. Come Saturday, didn’t happen again. Monday the driver marked it as delivery attempted when I was home all day and have a Ring doorbell so he/she obviously lied.

At this point I’m frustrated so I change the delivery to the local UPS store so I don’t have to worry about my daughter seeing it. It then gets stuck in Warwick, RI for 2 more days with no change. Finally speak to someone in Warwick 12/11/19 and they said they will get it out tomorrow and arrive in a day or two. So latest Friday 12/13/19. Call the 1800 line today because there has been no change to my tracking number.

The women tells me that it was delivered on Friday 12/13 at 11pm. Was about to head out but decided to call first. Needless to say, UPS in Cumberland says that they still don’t have it and the women provided me bad information because it’s still showing in transit. In summary, I’ve been lied to by these UPS workers multiple times and they can’t seem to make a 29 mile delivery in so far we are up to 5 days.

I was receiving a package and missed the first delivery attempt. I then attempted to change the delivery instructions to "hold at facility for pick up" since I would not be available in the middle of work hours. When I tried to use the website to make this change, my request did not go through, though no reason was given or alternative action that I could take. The next day the same thing happened, and the third day, I contacted customer service because the package was being returned to sender according to the missed delivery slip.

I thought that since this was mostly due to a glitch in their website that UPS would try to address this situation, but not only have they not done that, I have only gotten one sentence responses from customer service, and each of those single sentence responses have been from different people. They really just do not care if you have a problem, and are not interested in figuring out what went wrong.

UPS cannot be trusted for overnight shipping of perishable items. I ordered medication on Friday to be delivered on Saturday and did not receive the medication on Saturday. I am signed up for text to let me know and I was not notified that the package did not make it onto the truck. During the day it said it would be delivered by noon and then it changed to being delivered by end of day. I never received it. I called UPS and a person who could not speak English answer the phone and after a very difficult conversation I was informed absolutely no information, so I asked to speak to a manager in which I held on the line for an hour to get. That manager then created an escalation but informed me that nothing would be done until Monday.

My medication is supposed to stay within a certain temperature that cannot go below or above a certain number. And they informed me that their facility where the box was sitting is not temperature controlled. The local temperatures drop below freezing at night. So that obviously would expire the medication. Today is Monday and I am getting the same exact notifications that I would receive it by noon and then the message changed to not until this evening. I still do not have my medication and the day is almost over. And to make matters worse the company that shipped the medication is not being responsible to hold UPS accountable and resend my medication.

They want me to go get another prescription for my doctor which means they’re going to bill my insurance for another set of medication that I should not be billed for because UPS did not deliver the package or Maybe eventually delivers it but the medication has expired then. UPS has created a domino effect that is extremely negative and apparently has put Christmas presents in higher priority than a perishable package that clearly states on the outside that it is a priority shipment next day air, rush, perishable. UPS should be held accountable for this. Period. Especially if someone can die because they don’t receive their medication.

UPS only provides information for where packages “should be” - not for where they are; then they play the odds that it mostly goes well. Customer service reps can only read a screen that is not necessarily accurate. Not only have I been told this by an employee of UPS (my former company’s sales rep) but it is not difficult to prove, as displayed here by a recent scan:

Shipped with UPS Tracking ID: 1Z81.... Saturday, December 14 8:00 AM Out for delivery Chelmsford, MA US. Friday, December 13 8:58 PM Package has left the carrier facility Manchester, NH US. 8:41 PM Package arrived at a carrier facility Chelmsford, MA US. 6:52 PM Package arrived at a carrier facility Manchester, NH US. 4:58 PM Package has left the carrier facility Louisville, KY US. 10:47 AM Package arrived at a carrier facility Louisville, KY US. 9:34 AM Package arrived at a carrier facility Louisville, KY US. Thursday, December 12 6:42 PM Package arrived at a carrier facility Spartanburg, SC US. 6:00 PM Package has left the carrier facility Spartanburg, SC US. Package has shipped.

In the above scenario, the package left Chelmsford, MA and arrived in Manchester, NH in 17min. (Although this would take 45 min.) Then, for some unknown reason is shipped back to Chelmsford, MA the very next morning and is “out for delivery”. BUT, IT IS NOT OUT FOR DELIVERY, BECAUSE IT IS SATURDAY and the computer just says that. In actuality, it is “delayed for weather” (aka, they just don’t feel like making the trip) until sometime between “Sunday and Tuesday”. Per my update from Amazon.

Another package that was scheduled for Friday saw the same “weather delay” fate. There was no weather issue. “Prime” trucks delivered to my home well after 8pm that night. At what point will this company be held accountable? I am certain that in the day and age of people taking screen shots, there is plenty of evidence to back up the fallacies that UPS continues to publish as actual tracking updates. Any company can make a mistake. UPS publishes information that they do not verify to be true. That is unacceptable and they should be held to account.

However, the delivery never came and the tracking has changed by the end of the day to be scheduled for Saturday 2/14. On Saturday the tracking again showed "on vehicle for delivery". Then again the same BS happened. Now the tracking is showing delivery date is Monday 12/16, in addition a new line saying "delivery attempted" on Friday 12/13. I was home on both Friday and Saturday and they did not come to the house or leave a note and usually they leave my package by the door as no signature needed. The UPS page told me the package is in the truck all day today and out for delivery. It is 10:30 p.m. on Saturday and after being on hold for 90 minutes waiting for a manager I was told the package never made it on the truck. The customer service agents were using the "weather" and "high volume" as excuses for bad software and customer communication. UPS, I feel lied to, deceived and conned. Fix your software and give your customer service agents the same access to accuracy as your managers so customers don't feel like their packages have been stolen and can get accurate information.

Call to complain and you'll be told "It's not our fault. You got a quote from the store. You can self clear your package if you want to avoid this charge." Problem is you can't select any option to self clear if you are purchasing something so they've already done it and hit you with this charge so you can do nothing about it. (It's simple to self clear by the way.) Will never use them again.

UPS used to be the gold standard for shipping packages. Sadly, it has taken a freefall and is now a joke. Day after day, the tracking info shows that the package is "out for delivery" before the end of the day. And day after day, it goes back and is scanned again at the "carrier facility". Wish I had a choice of delivery services when I purchase things; I know that I will never use UPS to ship anything.

The packages were shown to be on the truck out for delivery, and we tracked the truck to at least with a block of the delivery location. No delivery was made on 12/10/19. Again these are overnight and 2-day Air packages that were to be delivered on 12/9/19.

I called the UPS 800 twice on 12/10/19- a bit after 7 pm and again about 75 minutes later. The hold times were 20+ and 35+ minutes, respectively. On the first cal I was told the packages were still be delivered today. On the second They weren’t sure. I asked for a supervisor on both calls. On the first call the rep refused to let me talk to a supervisor. After insisting, she said I would need to wait on hold for an hour to talk to a supervisor. On the second call, the rep said a supervisor would call me with 90 minutes. It is now more than 8 hours since that call, and I’m still waiting for the supervisor to call.

Every day I’ve tracked my package it says “out for delivery” and that I will receive it today, yet it never comes. I’ve talked to UPS on the phone twice during this process. Both times they’ve told me it’s out for delivery and I’ll still receive it that day. Lies. All they’re doing is trying to placate; not fix the problem. Tonight I was told on the phone that all I can do is keep tracking it; that there is nothing they can do on their end to red flag it to notify delivery personnel that it is SEVEN days late already and needs to be prioritized. Horrible communication, horrible internal processes, and clearly horrible management and leadership.

Held all weekend, noted on website tracking update to have arrived at local hub ~4AM this morning, supposed to arrive today (Tuesday) between 1215-415 PM. Just got notification delayed d/t weather. It's 57 and light rain. Called and after repeating same lies, finally told it has not even been unloaded from trailer. It's been there for>10hrs, is located ~25-30 min away from me. Supervisor also just repeats same lies (bad weather today) and that "arrival scan" doesn't mean it's arrived or been scanned. I was told they would connect me to local hub to speak with manager there and call was disconnected. Re-call, told to watch tracking on website which they already told me does not reflect actual status.

Had 2 items shipped to me via UPS within the last month or so. First item, I assumed would be held at the UPS store I designated as my preferred access point. Imagine my surprise when the driver just marched up to my door and rang the bell. It was a good thing I happened to be at home that day. My main complaint regarding that experience was the fact that their website/tracking info is very clunky in regards to letting you know exactly where the package is going to be shipped to.

Second item, at least this time it seems that the item is being sent to the access point. The order was placed on 11/29/2019 Friday and origin scan occurred on 12/02/2019 Monday. Now, my vendor sent the shipment via 3 day select, which I assumed means it should have been delivered by 12/05/2019 Thursday. They rescheduled it to 12/06/2019 Friday, and when I contacted my vendor, they explained that UPS told them it was due to heavy volume. Okay, fine, that is understandable. What is not understandable is why on Friday, I get the "out for delivery" notice on the tracking, and it never got delivered. I physically went to the access point and asked them what was going on, and they basically said I'll have to wait until next week. They also told me I should try to call customer service, but I gave up on that after being on hold for 20 minutes.

So Monday comes, same thing all over again. Still out for delivery after 7:00 PM, which is when the access point store is closed. So this time, I call customer service and stay on hold for over 30 minutes. And their response? Go pick it up at their facility tomorrow (not the access point that I preferred, just some facility that I will most likely have to take a highly congested highway to get to after I'm done for the day). Stellar service.

My experience is that UPS works fine until the package gets to the final delivery hub. Once I see that it has been loaded onto the delivery truck, I expect it to be delivered that day. Regularly, however, it just doesn't happen. Presumably the driver just doesn't feel like delivering all the packages, so it returns to the delivery hub. Then, rather than prioritizing the missed deliveries, UPS claims that they've already scheduled the next day's deliveries, so it will be 2 days until they work my package back into the rotation. This situation can repeat 3-4 times before the driver finally gets around to serving my neighborhood. Other delivery companies manage to deliver on time as promised, but UPS is by far the worst. The UPS rep opened a case for me and informed me that I would be contacted within an hour with further information. In the interim, I contacted the shippers who confirmed that the packages had indeed been delivered and signed for.

Four hours later and still no call back from UPS, I called them and after another 30 minutes in queue, the rep now tells me that my packages were actually delivered to the local post office. If that’s the case, why do they show delivered, rather than being handed off to USPS for delivery, and why did the first rep, open a case? (By the way, UPS’s app showed earlier that day that they were on the truck to be delivered today after already being delayed 3 days.). I asked to speak to a supervisor and was placed on hold never to be picked up again. I’m still unsure where the packages are. For a logistics company, they have no clue what is going on!

I had to cancel a non-refundable international trip for myself and a relative and have to apply for an emergency passport and re-apply for the foreign country's visa. Not only am I out of $$$$ but also going through emotional trauma due to identity theft.

All throughout the week the tracking information was highly suspicious. The package was first delayed and when I inquired about it I was given a run around by Customer Service. Talked to 20 different customer reps including supervisors and managers, each had a different story and were unable to help locate the package. Then suddenly it appears, first I am told it was being delivered to my place, even though I had requested to hold for pick up since it had been delayed and I didn't want to miss the driver. I later get a phone call that I needed to go pick it up from the UPS customer center. And to my shock, they handed me an empty package that had been opened up and stolen from!

None of the employees at the UPS customer center knew what had happened and was told I'd have to open a claim to start an investigation. I called the 1-800 number and submitted a claim. After following up the very next day, I was told it had been closed and the shipper would be reimbursed for $100. Seriously?! They could care less about what they have put me through. UPS has caused a lot of pain and stress that cannot be covered by $100. I expect UPS to reimburse me for all the costs including application fee for a new emergency passport, non-refundable tickets for 2 people, shipping charges to and from, and visa application fee for the foreign country. Such a big shipping company and totally unreliable. No sort of quality control and check done to ensure the contents are in the package.

The only reason I give two stars for this company is because my packages were received ahead of schedule, despite a delay due to a late plane. However, their text confirmation system seriously needs to be updated. I had to order replacement credit and debit cards because my wallet was stolen, and had to pay for expedited shipping. I was supposed to receive my packages on Tuesday, November 19, but there was a delay due to a late plane. The new arrival date was Wednesday, November 20 between 2:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. I received my packages that day around 2:15 p.m. while I was at work.

That wasn't the bad part. I never received a confirmation saying they got delivered! My mother, whom I share a house with, texted me saying they were there. Had she not been there and my packages got stolen from my front porch, I never would've known. I also received a text confirmation that same night saying there was a delay for both packages, even though I already received them earlier! I had to call customer service the following day and inform them I had received them. It shouldn't be up to me to constantly monitor my packages throughout the day while I'm at work after requesting shipping updates!

But, the customer service department via the 800 number is lacking. 1st off, it is almost impossible to get them to credit you for a mistake made by UPS. You are shuffled from person to person before getting a fair solution to your issue. If you ever do! 2nd: You, the customer is never, ever correct! UPS does no wrong, even if you have the proof of their mistake via their own tracking system and the package in front of you as you make the call. Additionally, it is difficult to understand probably 25% of the person offering service. Please understand I want to pay you for the service I receive, I will never ask for a refund unless it is a failure on your part. Thank you.

Every package they leave in front of your door. Even when you're home they leave it in front your door. They don’t really knock. I’ve been home to see what they do. Two times they knocked dropped the package in front the door when you get to the door. This time got a email saying package was left in front door. Left work early because it was fairly expensive and no package was there when I got home. It’s horrible. If iOS is the sender order from somewhere else.

I have used UPS to send my payroll to our 9 locations for 10 months. During this time there have been delays due to inclement weather which is very understandable. I always ship a day earlier than needed if they miss by one day will still make it on time. This time one of my shipments showed as delayed with no reason given, but showed it was still one day ahead and was in the City of destination. Next day I checked again and it showed that the address was incorrect and could not be delivered. This is the same address and label that has been used for prior 10 months without incident.

When I called early in the afternoon and escalated to supervisor, I was told the driver was new and they would re-deliver by 4:00 pm. They also said I would receive a call from the local hub within an hour to verify. Since customer service is outsourced to another country, I was depending on that call for verification. Of course it never came. At 4:15 pm when the package still showed on the tracking as not deliverable I called back.

Again I can only reach a foreign country. The first rep I got put me on hold, except she didn't and I could overhear the conversation in the background that they had no intention of sending the driver back to re-deliver. They were laughing about it. I got the supervisor and told them about the incident and they did nothing. The supervisor put me on hold again on and off for over 40 minutes and then informed me that the local hub in Oregon could not re-deliver and it would have to wait until the next day. I repeatedly told them it was our payroll and that the employees were standing around waiting for it.

Not only did they do nothing, they again said I would receive an escalation call from the local hub within the hour. They again never called me. I was very upset and told them I would never use UPS again, for now on USPS all the way. They to my knowledge are not outsourced to another country. My package that was supposed to be delivered Wed was delivered Fri, and "left at the front counter". I never was contacted and received no apology for the bad treatment and lies. I can find no contact information for the USA to file a complaint. There is absolutely no point in me calling the foreign country again to be further frustrated so I give up and will use another delivery service going forward.

UPS shipping is one of the worse delivery companies out there. On 11/7/19 they told me they would be delivering a shipment between the hours of 11 and 3. I hired two men to help me with the shipment and we set for four hours waiting. After 3 they had not yet come. I called and they said, "We won’t be there till later tonight." I told them I had to go to work and had send the two men home when they had not arrived by 3. All they said was, "We are sorry. We will try and reschedule," which they could not do. I had to get my wife to leave work (more money lost).

When finally the shipment arrives he leaves it setting outside in the pouring rain. When I get home I have to carry it into the garage dry everything off. I had to paid extra for shipping and handling due to the size of order which was a pretty penny let me tell you. Did UPS offer to discount anything" Why hell no. So I am out not just the money for the special shipping and handling charges I am also out the money that I paid two men to help me with the shipment, my wife’s money from her leaving work so someone was there when they delivered it, not to mention my time standing around waiting on it to come. All they could said was, "We are very sorry. We were running behind." I told them I thought that was what the 4 hour window was for in case of stuff like that. I don’t plan on using their services anymore. Oh they did said I could come to their shipping area and pick it up. I told them I don’t have a semi truck. That’s why I was paying them.

My package was delivered at 12:44pm and my husband was there at 12:55 to retrieve my package and there was no package on my doorstep. I called UPS to let them know that I don't have my package. UPS had me re-verify my address and after I did I was told that the package was delivered to my neighbor by mistake. I was asked if I would like for the driver to be sent back out to retrieve the package and I said yes.

When the driver arrived on Friday evening he immediately came to my apartment and banged on the door. When I opened the door he said to me very defensive and confrontational why did I tell UPS that he delivered my package to the wrong apartment when he was 100% sure that he delivered it to my apartment. I explained to him that UPS was the one that told me that he delivered the package to the wrong address and he said that he didn't and one of my neighbors stole my package and it wasn't his problem and I need to take it up with my apartment manager. The whole time he was speaking to me he was rude and had an attitude and wanted to hear anything that I had to say. He also proceeded to tell me as he walked away while I was still speaking to him that he wouldn't get in trouble and nothing would happen to him.

I have been waiting since Friday to speak to someone at UPS regarding this incident and no one has taking the time out to call me back to address my issue. I frequently order packages from different businesses and now before I place my order will call to find out what shipping carrier they use because UPS will never get the opportunity to deliver a package to me again. I packaged a guitar in a new box with high density foam, took pictures of the process, and purchased and printed my UPS label - WITH INSURANCE. UPS accepted my shipping and insurance money, picked up the box and delivered from Seattle to California - damaging the guitar FUBAR. A claim was made to UPS by me the shipper and by the buyer of the guitar. UPS said it would take a week to make a determination upon their examination of the shipping box and packaging. Three weeks later they hadn't bothered to make an inspection. Buyer returned the guitar to me via FEDEX. UPS sends insurance claims to a company they own called Crawford. Crawford said that the claim was denied because there was no inspection of the shipping materials. Really, in three weeks they couldn't arrange for an inspection, when they said it would be a week?

I pressed further and they said they would consider reviewing their determination with pictures of the shipping materials - which they had already received BEFORE they denied the claim. The box was definitely beat up like the old commercial with the gorillas doing the baggage handling at the airport. We presented again, pictures of the before and after delivery and additional pictures of the box and guitar that was returned to me. The box looked the same when it got back to me. The UPS asked for info on the package being returned to me. I told them the package had been shipped back to me from the buyer via FEDEX. The claim denied immediately.

I am out $800.00 plus dollars because UPS was too lazy to inspect in three weeks and frankly not very honorable. I believe that UPS self-insures with the Crawford, a company they own with intent of not covering their insured packages. This requires a communication with the Attorney General, and the Insurance Commissioner in each state the UPS operates in - which is all of them. But especially Washington, Texas, and California.

Absolutely HORRENDOUS service. Not just once. Not just twice. But MULTIPLE times. Our company ships our items through a 3rd party and when they said the item couldn't be delivered because of an address issue (which wasn't true at all. There was an extra noun in the name of the company. Because of which, they wouldn't deliver it - EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD ALREADY DELIVERED A DIFFERENT PACKAGE TO THAT SAME NAME AND ADDRESS THE EXACT SAME DAY. So I called to update the contact information and have them sort it out with the customer who needed the items. A week later I was notified that the package was returned to our 3rd party sender AND that they had never contacted our updated contact person.

I called UPS AGAIN and told them the situation. They said - "Oh well the address is incorrect". I said that wasn't true because they had ALREADY delivered a different package to that same name and address before. Then they said, well there isn't a contact person and I said no... that's not true either because I called a week ago with all that information. "Oh yeah... you did..." responded the person on the other line. "Well we can't do anything about it. Sorry." That was just ONE incident and because of this, we were out the entire profit our company would've been making because we had to pay shipping costs FIVE DIFFERENT TIMES.

Today we got a phone call about one of our packages being held at one of the UPS stores going to one of our customers. The person from UPS left us a message and said to call them back. We did. The number wouldn't work. Which meant I had to call customer service (someone is some remote place who has no idea what the situation is) and try and track down what the issue was with the package. The thing is - the person from UPS who left us the message, never gave us a tracking number! So customer service lady is demanding a tracking number and I said, I don't have it because they never gave it to me. So she tells me to look it up on my end and I tell her, I CAN'T because we ship hundreds of things out every day. I have no idea which PO it is, so I'll need to talk to the person at the actual UPS location to get the PO number off the label. She said that the UPS location doesn't have a phone.

Excuse me? They have a phone. They used the phone to leave us a voicemail. This is the 21st century. They have a phone. So she tells me that they only communicate through messages. I said, "Great - message them and tell them to call me so I can get more info on this package I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT". She refused. FINALLY, I hung up and sent one of our guys up to the actual UPS store (about an hour from here luckily) to claim the package....

Except they won't release the package to him because he's not the company we were delivering it to.... Except we're the SENDER. So we're trying to reclaim OUR OWN package! However, my boss's name IS on the package, so I said that's fine. We'll FaceTime, he'll show his ID and they'll release it then. Except that the woman there REFUSED.

At this point, we are LIVID but at least we know where this package is supposed to be going to because of the label. So I tracked down the exact order and gave them the updated address with an updated contact person. Except they won't update the contact person... WHAT. She claims that the label is printed and they can't reprint the label. Which is all a bunch of crap.

UPS is absolutely the WORST delivery service I have ever encountered. Not only are they unhelpful, but they also could not care LESS about peoples' businesses and actually getting packages delivered. All they care about is profit. Their customer service hasn't helped us even ONCE. Out of all the packages we've sent through them - not even ONCE have they even TRIED to work with us and actually HELP. I don't write reviews. But this one had to be written. Completely and utterly astonishing at how rude, dishonest, and belittling this company and its employees are. I have never encountered anyone more rude or more obstinant than UPS.

The package wound up back in New Stanton on Friday morning (already one day late), with the delivery listed for Monday, October 21st. I called UPS to ask why, since they screwed up, the package couldn't be put on a truck on Saturday. I got three different reasons from the same representative on the phone, none of which met the test of the first follow-up question. He was clearly lying. What did he not want to tell me? Probably that if you haven't paid the exorbitant upcharge for Saturday delivery, it will sit in their building until Monday, whether they screwed up or not. This is basic customer service: A chance to make a screw-up at least partially right. Nope. Not gonna happen.

To make matters worse, An ignition coil pack went bad on my car, and it's not one that can be sourced from NAPA, etc. I ordered one for delivery Monday the 21st, using the Overnight Saver option. UPS policy is that these packages are delivered to residences before 3:00 the following business day. Our UPS driver normally gets by our house between 4:30 and 6:00 in the afternoon, so I'm thinking that the silver lining here is that the RAM, which is scheduled for delivery on the 21st as well, will arrive a little bit earlier in the day.

Nope. Both packages will be delivered at the usual time the driver gets around to my house. Bottom line here is that no matter how they've screwed up and no matter what service you've paid for, UPS will take the lowest common denominator in providing that service. Whatever is cheapest and easiest for them. Buyer beware.

They are such rude people and no one takes responsibility when things go wrong. First, they came to deliver my package at 3pm on Thursday and since I am working full time, obviously I was not at home. On their website, they said they were gonna deliver it closer to the end of the day. That was still fine, I called them the same day to ask for another deliver attempt and they said they will deliver it the next day and which is why I took a leave from work. I didn't get anything till 6:44 pm so I called and disappointingly, they had not processed my request and said they can have it delivered next day (Friday) between 12 and 1 pm.

I took a leave from work AGAIN because I really needed my package. I waited till 2:30pm on Friday and then had to leave for some work. Guess what, they delivered at 2:57 pm! So I called them again to check back on this and said sorry we do not guarantee anything blah blah. Also I could not get my package from the store because for some reason they said I can pick it up from a store that 35 mins away instead of the store that is 7 mins away. This is crazy. Also when I explained the situation to them and badly I needed my package, they spoke rudely and said I can only request the driver but cannot give you any guarantee for next delivery on Monday. I said "really?! is this what your customer service is all about?" And he answered "yes". Crazy people and worst service!!

I have faced this issued twice in the past 2 months. The website first shows that there is no signature required and then when the delivery is supposed to happen they say unable to deliver because of no signature. I did not receive a 'We missed you' slip either. I selected the option on the UPS site to deliver at the management office. Again next day it said, "Second delivery attempt made and we missed you." Again no note at the door - nor delivered at management office. Final attempt: I waited the whole day and I can see that no one came to the door. This time I had also authorized release on the UPS website and asked them to leave it at the door. Still no delivery and the same message on the site. Every morning it would say 'Out for delivery' and by noon it would say 'we missed you'. None of the 3 times was there a note left at the door. Terrible experience.

I frequently (3-4 a week) order products from Amazon that are sent USPS. My business purchases many products from China for resale and it's either sent USPS or DHL and I even have had FedEx deliver them. Never have I used UPS until I purchased an item from Walmart for my son's birthday. I did next day shipping so it would arrive 2 days early.. After being one day late they said it was lost in New Jersey. Again I got on the phone and reorder the item prior to eating and doing a refund.. It never arrived.. Now it's two days after my son's birthday and on to order number three.. which while tracking it says out for delivery.. Now it's 8 at night and it finally updated to incorrect address. Which could not be more wrong. Basically it's 8 at night and it's raining and the driver drove right by my house which is easy to find.

Taking deep breath I again called customer service which basically laughed at me. Could care less. Said they would update my address which was correct so I don't know how they can do that but when asked if they can make it a first stop or a priority delivery for as early as possible they said no it'll be around the same time tomorrow. So on trying to change the address to my business address they try to charge me to do so it really is disappointing and pretty much a joke. Worst experience ever.. Not only not getting the present for my son which sucks!! But just the lack of accountability or customer service or even caring mean the lady is pretty much laughing when I spoke to her and said there's no way to waive the $10 fee to change the address and it's not the $10. It's the principle at this point and she laughed and said no..

I would avoid them at all costs.. My third time not getting my package and the first two being next day delivery you would think there would be some course of action you could take for the following through on what they were hired to do but there really isn't. You just have to suck it up. Calling and complaining just makes it more frustrating. I will pay 4 times the amount or more to another carrier than ever using UPS again..

I called to inform them of this and was told that they were sorry to hear about this, but that was the final attempt as the system showed a record of the driver having made two other attempts. I explained that this recorded information did not negate the fact that no notice was left to inform me of any other attempt.

If they had left a previous notice I would have requested that they leave the package at an access point instead. The representative repeated their company line adding that if I was willing to pay a fee they could redeliver. I should not have to pay anything to have my package delivered when UPS has not done their job. Simple - do not use this company if you want to actually have your item shipped. Bought a small but not inexpensive item to be shipped to Canada. Seller shipped using UPS without telling me. Got overcharged to start with. But the kicker is they didn't tell him that to ship to Canada from the US he had to fill out a customs form though they were perfectly aware one was needed. The item sat for 6 days in Kentucky then he found out he had to send the information for customs clearance. He said he sent it and all should be fine. But though they received the necessary information they still sent it back to him!!!!

The first and only time this will happen to me as I will make damn sure in the future anything I buy from eBay is not to be sent by UPS or I'll simply look elsewhere. One reason I refuse to buy items from sellers who use EBay's Global Shipping is because the items are eventually transferred from USPS to a courier company - usually UPS and then it's up to the gods if the delivery actually occurs. Just check all the other horror stories here !!!! As many others have commented - it's incredible that this company still survives - guess word of mouth doesn't apply for some reason. Also how does the average rating on this website show 4 stars??? Just look at the ratings in Sept - almost all are 1 star! Makes you wonder if UPS is paying someone off to suppress the true ratings.

When our son moved off to college, we had two boxes of his stuff shipped to him by UPS. When he called to thank us for the packages, we asked him about a couple things we had put in the boxes, but he didn't know what we were talking about. As it turns out, a smaller shoe box was totally missing from one of the boxes. He said he had noticed that one of the boxes was damaged, and some of the stuff inside was also, but didn't realize that anything was missing. One of the things that was damaged was a pennant that had obviously been stepped on or driven over. (He sent us a photo.) He assumed that we had damaged it somehow before packing it up, but it was fine when we packed it. Either the box had come open during shipping or someone had opened it.

In either case, the smaller box inside was totally missing. Unfortunately, it contained the $600 watch that we had given him for his graduation, a $50 gift card, and a pair of binoculars, among other things. When we contacted UPS about the missing box, they contacted our son, asking to see the box. Of course, he had already thrown the box out, not even realizing at the time that anything was missing. Because they couldn't see the box, they refused to even pay the $100 of automatic insurance. (We were never offered more insurance, but they obviously wouldn't have paid more, anyway.)

This was the first time that we had ever used UPS. Not only was stuff missing out of the box, but both boxes took almost twice as long to get there than other packages that we had previously sent through the post office. The people at UPS are thieves and we will never use them again to ship anything. Don't ever trust them with anything, especially if it's valuable. They literally take your stuff. Someone, somewhere is wearing our son's watch and used our son's gift card. I hope they feel guilty about what they did.

Calling customer service says I have to wait 24 hr to report a problem/missing package? How? Why? I don't have the package and the package is NOT at any neighbor with a similar address (that error has happened multiple times so was the first physical check I did). It should be a simple matter for the customer service rep to immediately contact the driver and report the problem given I reported within minutes of the notice the package was supposed to have been delivered. I do wear clear plastic aligners for my teeth to correct my smile, which I do have to change every week. We decided to extend our trip, so we asked our friend to ship us the extra couple of plastic aligners so I can stay on track with the medical plan. He shipped it on 12. September, paid $163!!!! For the package to be delivered. GUARANTEED by the 17th, which is the whole week for a delivery, very plenty of time.

We tracked the package just about 2 days before delivery, only to find out our package haven't even left USA! We called and were informed its is missing a "POWER OF ATTORNEY"??? ... What??? Nobody informed us of anything. Our friend sent the package with everything needed. UPS claimed they contacted "someone" for this missing information. Our friend did not receive any phone calls or emails. We did not receive anything. When we asked who did they contact, the answer was "we are not sure, sometimes they don't even contact you" WHAT??? So they will just let the package sit there till someone calls?

After that, I basically had to call UPS in Czech Republic 3 times, incurring call charges, getting forms needed to clear the customs (for 3 pieces of plastic, worth probably $2???), filling them out, emailing back, and today is the 23rd and we still do not have the package. Nobody seems to worry. The package has been sitting in the warehouse in Prague since 4 am yesterday, but for some weird reason will sit there also all day today, and will be delivered tomorrow. So technically, I paid $163 for a 12 day delivery, when I could have used regular post office, pay $20, and get it in 5 days.

UPS is trash and have been trash for years. The service is terrible, the departments aren't streamlined to effectively solve customers' problems, and their people are unscrupulous. A package was sent to me on 9/18/19. Our area was hit with a tropical depression that inundated the entire city. The heavy rains caused major flooding in and around the city. However, by yesterday (9/20/19) the waters had mostly receded.

I called to inquire about the status updates on the package, because the online updates seemed inconsistent with what actually happened. The first update was on 9/19, which said "delivery attempt." There was no delivery attempt, no tag left, I was home all day, no one came. I understand the rains might have prevented delivery, although, UPSP was able to get to my house despite the rain, but I digress.

So there it was Friday, 9/20/19, and nothing else was updated, except, it now said, "scheduled delivery." Ok, it's scheduled for delivery, for what time pray tell? The woman on the phone says, there's no time associated with my delivery. So again, their lying. By now I'm frustrated. If they'd simply suggested that I pick up the package, I would have it now and wouldn't be writing this review. However, they persisted in their lies until the weekend, only to schedule my package for Monday delivery, even though it's an OVERNIGHT delivery. Now, the only thing that I can do is to go pick it up on Monday, because they lack the common decency to offer the courtesy of actually scheduling the delivery time, so that I can know when on Monday it'll be delivered.

Mind you, they had all these special exceptions of "emergency" that was placed on delivery at the facility, although, they were able to maneuver through the city by yesterday. The same day they NEVER even tried to make a delivery attempt. SMH. If I could give -5 I would. I've never liked UPS, and never will. The task of delivering is secondary to their lackluster business practices and it's a shame really. It's too bad FedEx is so expensive and people turn to trash box UPS because of their rates.

Instead of staying on our driveway and backing out, he tried to turn the truck around in our yard and drive out forward. Being end of October in the Catskills, NY, we had experienced a lot of rain and the yard was wet. The driver rutted up the side of our yard and got his truck stuck, which is how we found him when we returned home. He told us he would be fired if the company found out he got the truck stuck, so my husband helped tow him out and we didn’t report it even though we had to clean up the portion of our yard that he ruined.

In return, he must have gone back and told the company that our house should no longer be delivered to, because since then, our packages go to a local UPS warehouse with very limited open house for pick up (and are returned to sender within a week), or they go to the local post office and are unavailable for pick up except during regular post office business house (during which we are often unavailable because of work). FedEx has no problem delivering to our house (and before this one UPS driver, neither had UPS). I do a lot of online shopping and cringe when I see UPS as the carrier. To put it in brief form, I ordered a product in June, 2019. A week later that product had been left on my porch, for delivery. Fast forward to 9/13/2019, when a Ms. Kayla ** from UPS Small Package Customs Brokerage called me and said that the company had sent the package “prepaid”, which, in UPS lingo makes me responsible for all government charges associated with importing the product. Therefore, UPS had my name on the invoice. If I failed to pay the $52.56 that was owed within five days, the matter would be handed to a collection agency. Despite the fact that I never signed anything, or engaged UPS in any way, she considered it my debt, To despite my protestations, and refusal to pay. She didn’t care what was legal or right, she wanted the money, and would do whatever was necessary to get it.

Her insistence that I pay would never stand-up in a court of law because I did not engage UPS in any way, or sign anything, but she didn’t care. She knew that someone would never go to court over the small sum involved. I am a disabled senior, and have spent my lifetime building an outstanding credit score. She felt that she could easily bully, threaten, and lie to the point where I would tire of the fight, and pay a debt that was not mine to protect my reputation.

The summary is one of risk, and risk avoidance. Anytime that something is shipped to you via UPS, you are at risk if the product is imported and the importer has not paid the government fees. Anyone has the right to refuse a delivery by UPS, thus avoiding the risk. If your firm is reputable, ship via a service other than UPS. If you order a product, specify that UPS is not to be engaged. Finally, refuse any delivery that UPS might make. Taking these steps will nullify the risk of a nightmare, like I have gone through.

My packaged was scheduled to be delivered at a residential address however the driver updated my account saying it could not be delivered because the business was closed. Someone was here all day and a delivery was never attempted. Anyone who lies so blatantly should never be trusted. The lies lead me to believe that behind the lies there is criminal intent.

Contacted support, but they cannot give me any additional information and they will just relay my issue to the receiving UPS facility. Was then contacted me the next day stating that they can't find my package in their system. And they would call me back in 30 mins to try and locate the items.

I then got a call back after a few hours letting me know that it was still missing and there was no reason given by the UPS driver for the reschedule. There was also no attempt for the driver to deliver. I was then told to let the sender know about the issue and just file a claim. I then said, "Can I just wait till the next day (Friday)?" And they said yes and they'll update me right away.

I felt so frustrated that my item just went missing for no reason or any explanation. And this was not the first time it happened. I've been telling the agent and the staff facility that I'm even willing to pick up the item at any drop point or even the warehouse. I feel that my issue is being handles lightly. The item is insured for more of its worth but I would not be reacting this much if it was not important to me. I've been using UPS to ship my items in the past but having to go through all this trouble is not worth it. And some items are just irreplaceable.

I'm really hoping that this would be resolved. I would advocate to my friends and family in discouraging them to use any of #UPS services. And unfortunately, one of my friends is going through the same thing right now. I maybe just one customer, and this might be a regular incident for your company, but I feel sorry for the other people that has to go through the same thing. I often order things online especially on Amazon and Costco. Usually these two companies use UPS as their shipping carrier for my area. I recently placed an order from Amazon and the scheduled delivery date was 10, September. On 10, September UPS sent me a notification says the delivery date has been rescheduled to 11 September by 9 pm. On September 5:54 pm I received an email from UPS said my package was delivered. But actually I was at home at that time and didn't see any UPS's truck stopped by my house and there was no any package found. So I called the UPS customer service to ask about it but was told that I had to contact Amazon to deal with this issue.

I contacted Amazon immediately and got response from Amazon said that after they checked with UPS this error occurred was because UPS had accidentally scanned the package as "Delivered" and it's still on the way and expect the package will be delivered within one business day. I waited one more day, but the package still didn't arrive.

It wasn't because of this mistake that I gave UPS a star review. I live in Lake Arrowhead, California. There was no home delivery from USPS in my area. UPS appears to be the only shipping carrier for Lake arrowhead, so they don't seem care about the quality of service at all. Over the past six months, the quality of their services has become worse and worse, they had lost my packages, often changed the delivery time and provided you false tracking information. I have complained to Amazon many times on this issue but they don't seem to have any good alternatives.

I am residing in Schaumburg, Illinois. For last 2 years, there is problem with UPS deliveries in my area. I order online very often, mostly from Amazon. I gave instructions to Amazon that I do want "No signature needed delivery", and I want Amazon to endorse to delivery company to leave my package by my doors if no answer. Most of my parcels come with that note on the slip. Driver of UPS does not leave my package, instead, sometimes he leaves slip stating that my package will be available at UPS's drop off place.

When I go there to pickup, my package is not there, then, when checked, my package is not returned to Palatine/main UPS location. For a few days, no package to be found and then 3-4 days later they leave another slip for pickup in drop off location. I work long hours, that location is open until 6:30 pm. Each time I got e-mail from UPS for pickup or driver leaves slip for me, I have to leave from work earlier. I am not happy when I come to pickup place and my package is not there even though driver indicated on his slip that it is available for pickup at that particular location. I called multiple times UPS to see if anything can be done and why driver is ignoring instructions on the package and by UPS customer services representative. I was told that it is all in driver's discretion if he is going to leave package or not, regardless to note on package.

Many times, driver checks every possible option on the slip, I saved some of those slips where driver checked: (Slip from 7/12/19: 1. Package will be delivered to access point location, 2. We will try again on the next delivery day and 3. This was our final attempt!!!) Hello! Which one is it? On slip from 7/15/19 driver checked: 1. We will try again on next UPS delivery day, 2. Someone must be here to accept delivery and sign for your package. 3. We can leave your package on the next UPS delivery day if you sign the back of the UPS INFO Notice's receipt. I sign back of the slip.

Next day, slip with my signature is still attached at the door accompanied by another slip from driver that delivery was attempted and package will be available at access point location. When I went there, package was not there. From there I went straight to main location in Palatine, and package was not there either. Next day I went again to Palatine location and find out that package was returned to seller overnight. I saved slips (6 slips) for 2 deliveries that returned to seller shortly, called UPS customer services, explained what my issue is, they listened to me and told me someone in charge will call me to resolve issues. Nobody called, I called them again and situation repeated.

Finally I went to talk in person. They told me that person who can help me is not there. Person I spoke said his name is Jeff ** and he will make sure that person in charge for deliveries calls me back. I was ignored again. Then I called **, spoke to Leonard who did listened as rest of them, and stated: "Someone in charge will call you!" Never happened! I wanted to know what is UPS policy about deliveries, what is their explanation on driver's overwriting instructions on the package, how can I as customer understand rules that are different each delivery time? How does driver determine where package goes if I am not at home when he attempts delivery? Why once he will try to re-deliver next day, once is taken to access point, once is still on drivers truck after 2 days etc. I still did not get my answer.

I went in main office multiple times and each time they dismiss me stating that person in charge is not present at the time but will call me. In the other areas, drivers leave packages by the doors, they take picture of package and the door as a proof, they accommodate customers wishes as much possible. In my area, not just that driver does not accommodate customer, as a matter of fact, he is doing the best he can to piss off his customers, and his bosses do not give damn about it! What I am trying to say is:" How I can expect as a customer to have driver respect me as customer and to respect my instructions when their customer service/office staff is ignorant to me as customer and do not even call back???"

UPS deliver a 3-day international delivery after 10 days. And lost part of the order. But even more upsetting were the number of hours that I spent trying to resolve the issue: UPS reps are courteous, but different locations and department seem to have different information - they have poor communication with each other. I ordered a large soccer goal via 3 day shipping for our town on August 9. When the package was delivered there was a customs fee that UPS asked to to pay. We had already paid it over the phone that morning and the driver said he could not find record of the payment and would not give us the packages. UPS phone rep admitted that the driver should have had the info and apologized for the error. UPS promised to deliver the next day, but didn't. Again UPS apologized and said there was a problem at the warehouse in Eatontown. UPS then failed to deliver the package for another 4 days! 3 day shipping was now taking around 12 days!

Packages were delivered. When assembling the goal, we found that there was a 12th package that UPS should have delivered. UPS acknowledged that it was delinquent and promised next day delivery, but again it wasn't delivered! More calls to UPS, and UPS acknowledged that the package had disappeared at one of its facilities. So did UPS finally take ownership of the problem? No - UPS said that we must file a inquiry in order for THEM to start looking for the package. They asked us to find package measurements to help them physically look for it (they don't record package dimensions). They also said that they needed the exact contents of the box, even thought there would be a label on the box showing our name on it. I'm disturbed that UPS kept putting the ball back into my court. Also am surprised that their system didn't alert them that a 3-day package was never delivered. They don't monitor whether their packages are delivered?!

The first delay was bad enough. But I spent many hours on the phone with UPS trying to get delivery, and being asked to talk to different departments and locations. The time that I lost was very disappointing - UPS took several days to own the problem - I expected them to take ownership of the problem and resolve it, without me having to make so many calls and talk to so many people.

My sister lives in America and we live in Canada, and normally she sends us items through our Amazon account and we’re always happy with the service. But this time she wanted to physically pick out Birthday presents and shipped them through UPS.

    1) UPS tracking is the worst. We didn’t even get an expected day of arrival until 2 days ago, and absolutely no timeframe. “Delivered by the end of the day” meant that I couldn’t go anywhere all day, not knowing if the package will come at 11am or 6pm. It came at 6:30pm.

    2) The delivery guy didn’t give me any time to answer my buzzer, he hung up after 2 rings. I ran downstairs to catch him and he didn’t even acknowledge me. I waved and yelled for him to wait, but he got into his truck and left. I suspect he was in a hurry to leave because his shift ends at 6:30. He didn’t even wait a minute. Now I have to go tomorrow to pick up from an office. I just wasted a whole day waiting for nothing.

I will never use UPS again. I have informed friends and family to avoid UPS as well. Poor customer service.

I LOATHE UPS. Dealing with them is a nightmare. THE WORST carrier in the US, based on several horrible experiences I have had with them personally and based on Google reviews. ► A $10 can of spray paint ordered from Walmart was NOT delivered by UPS. I applied for a refund. ► I was hounded by UPS by phone accusing me of lying numerous times. Then about a week later, the driver showed up at 9:30 pm! pounding on the door and ringing the doorbell incessantly before I could reach it. He was hateful, accusing me of lying and telling me to make things right by getting in touch with Walmart to tell them I made a mistake about no delivery. ► I told him that I'm retired and home 24/7 and track packages so I'll know when they're due to arrive and can watch for them.

He calmed down a bit then and said, "I wonder if I delivered it to the wrong address." ► However, they will no longer deliver anything to my house but leave a notice and make me drive to their office to pick up deliveries. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR FIVE YEARS! ► Subsequently, over those years, there have been four occasions when various neighbors have come to my house and brought packages addressed to me but delivered to their houses. ►I have never had a problem with any of the other carriers, but I have stopped ordering online for fear of having to deal with the lousy UPS delivery 'service'.

We have a regular account with UPS with weekly billing. We accidentally paid a bill through UPS Freight that should have been billed to the shipper. I have called several times to try to get a credit to our credit card, have posted disputes on the website, have been promised a supervisor is handling it. I've wasted many hours trying to deal with an invoice for $291.13! Now I'm wasting more time posting this review, so hopefully more people will read this and not use UPS in their businesses. I just received my 4th "promise" and am so frustrated. I stopped paying other invoices hoping someone who wants more than a payment of $291.13 will call me demanding payment. Maybe they will do something! I have direct input on the freight company we use in our company and will start the process of moving to another shipper. We currently spend about about $16,000/Year on shipping with UPS.

I called to see why it less than 2 days to get across the entire country as well as the ocean to Honolulu, yet it'll take 5 days to deliver from Honolulu to Honolulu?? Where is the logic in this shipping? I ordered from Target and have had good luck before but this is the second time and I'm incredibly disappointed that they're taking 5 days to deliver in my own City! I live in Honolulu and offered to pick it up but they said they had to arrange that and I couldn't pick it up for a couple more days either. So incredibly frustrating!

I asked if they could deliver my package at a UPS store close to my house and the lady on the phone said I have to do it online otherwise they would have to charge me for doing it over the phone. UPS delivered the pkg to the WRONG address, 1121 instead of 1221 (of my street). The driver came the first time same day to acknowledge his mistake, then the next day to inform me that The guy there, for some bizarre reason, handed it to HIS next door neighbor, two houses down from mine. I was just starting the agonizing process of going thru UPS-Robo-voice hell when a third neighbor knocked on my door to let me know where the pkg was because the driver had no idea what had become of it after first misdelivery recipient told him "it has been taken care of". Apparently it had been given to HIS next door neighbor. I had to go down the street to retrieve it.

Dealing with UPS was a NIGHTMARE! That company does NOT want to deal with customers! The robo voice you get first asks for your tracking number then does not understand it. I was in robo-voice HELL for over 45 minutes trying again and again, because the robo voice wouldn't pass me along to a HUMAN agent until it was satisfied with the tracking number which, despite my most careful enunciation, it couldn't seem to understand. I was in TEARS by the time I found a number that turned out to be INTERNATIONAL UPS, where a pleasant E Indian fellow proved helpful. He promised I'd get an email about my issue within a half hour but I never did even though I gave him my email address. From now on, I'll find out in advance if it is UPS that delivers the package, and if so I'll seek another vendor!

The My Choice option is a joke - you have to pay for delivery options which when you already pay for shipping is a bit ridiculous! My delivery time gave an estimate - I left work early to make sure I was there for it - got there for the time given on the site and I had the little sticker on my door that they had already come for the day. The customer service people were polite... That is the only thing I have good to say about this company.

I have had many instances recently where my packages are not being delivered and the reason for non-delivery is not truthful. I work from home and have several dogs who will alert me long before someone knocks on my door or rings my doorbell of a person approaching the house. Yet on many occasions I have had packages not delivered with the notice indicating no one was home. In fact, no one came to the house to deliver anything.

This happened again to a package I sent to my grandsons who were celebrating their 4th birthday. The package was to arrive Tuesday and that day a truck from UPS delivered another gift yet the one I sent failed to deliver because "no one was home". Yes, there was someone there all day. The package was then sent to another location and our only notification was when I called to check the status. YES THAT'S RIGHT, no sticker on the door or note left behind so... they wouldn't redeliver the package until Friday (too late for their birthday). I called to complain and was told to call the UPS store where I purchased the $47 shipping label. I called them and they advised me to call ups.com. Finally they agreed to file a claim and I was just notified that they will do nothing to help since it was finally picked up by my daughter who had to take time off from work to get it. I am furious and done with UPS!!!

The boxes are always, without fail filthy with a near black residue all over them. I assume from sliding around on the aluminum in the back of the truck while they're flying around town. What's more, I'd say about half the boxes we receive have some kind of damaged. From being crushed to torn open. Many times our driver said he had already put it in their system. I try not to use UPS if I can help it. I've emailed them several times with issues and if I get anything back at all it's a generic reply. Absolutely aggravating!

Trying to talk to a human in customer service is extremely aggravating because there is too much automated crap to go through to get to that point. Then when you finally get one their intelligence level is so low you can tell they are reading from a script. They had absolutely no concern at all about what the package looked like and said it in their words as long as the product functioned. I see this as very disturbing. I would strongly recommend any needing to ship stuff if they need it somewhere in one piece use FedEx.

Tomorrow it will be transferred to another SurePost facility that is 70 miles from my house. The next day it will be delivered to the US Post office that is five miles from my house and put in my PO Box. The company that I bought the product from didn't ship to PO Boxes. Had the item been shipped with the US Postal Service in the first place I would have received it 4 to 5 days sooner. The seller of the item is about 700 miles from my house. I recommend that customers do not buy from sellers that ship with SurePost.

UPS is a complete frustration to work with. I am tired of writing my complaints to no avail. They lost a package worth roughly $1000 and I truly believe it was stolen by an employee. They attempted to deliver my package ONCE and after that, it has disappeared of the face of the earth. I even BEGGED to pick my package up myself at an Access Point or Depot but they would not allow me to because my package was restricted by the shipper... funny that this didn’t benefit me at all... I signed up for Sms, phone and email notifications and was never notified of the driver coming on Monday - there is no real way to track your items. I believe this was intentionally done to swipe my package and force me to open a claim hoping for resolution.

I am appalled at their customer service at every level and feel truly bad for the outsourced workers who have to hear the bulk of our complaints (since all other contact info for UPS is private apart from one generic call center number). I don't know how UPS cannot be liable or responsible for such a high value item. How can they not find my package, how can they have lost it? Do they not have any oversight on drivers? Which driver had it last, make them compensate me or find my package!!! This has been the worst experience and would warn anyone to STAY away from UPS. In the future, if a company I want to work with/purchase from tries to involve UPS I will not do business with them. This is appalling and not ethical at all...

Each time when I reached the end and tried to submit, message said, page not available. Today, I actually reached a live person. Once I Told her I wanted to file a claim, I was transferred to a recorded message that had nothing to do with filing a claim. What a waste of time! The box did weigh 85 lbs but it also had heavy and fragile labels on every side. I took 32 pictures in all of the unboxing using a tape measure to show a minimum of 4"s and max of 6"s of packing all the way around and 6-10"s of packing between layers. UPS had it shipped to Moncton NB on May the 23rd (yes it took them a month to pick up) for inspection and immediately blamed the shipper and said that they were going to send it back to him. Apparently the labels mean nothing. Their automated machines can't read.

After many calls they admitted on July the 2nd that they had lost the package (did I mention that it was a $2000 turntable). When contacted 2 weeks later there was no record of my call 2 weeks earlier, nobody could seem to make it past May on their computers. Too lazy to read? It is now August the 8th and the shipper still hasn't been reimbursed from UPS (16 weeks, I hope that they like the interest money from me and everyone else that they do this to WORLDWIDE). I thought that a global shipping company like UPS would have more scruples than this. The shipper is contemplating legal action against UPS at this point as there doesn't seem to be any other options. Myself I will never use UPS again...EVER!!

When the boxes arrived to Ithaca, one of them was not in the box I had packed it in--this was some beaten down box that wasn't a UPS labelled box. I opened the box, and all of my stuff was just shoved in there, whereas I had packed everything neatly. My hypothesis is that the original box was somehow damaged during shipping, and so they just shoved all my stuff in some other left over box. They never bothered to tell me why, even though I had provided contact information while paying for the shipping.

The irony is that I had packed the stuff in UPS's own boxes--which they say are supposed to be strong! But they don't seem to last shipping between Boston and New York! Some of my other boxes, which not bought from UPS and also had more stuff in them, turned out fine. I don't trust UPS cardboard boxes anymore. I had also paid $6 extra per box so that they would only be dropped off if someone signed for them. I wasn't there to sign for the boxes myself, but if I was, I would never have signed for the damaged box because of the poor condition it arrived in! I couldn't even recognize my own box!

The order listed my home phone for contact as well. I received the following text: "07/24/2019 10:33 A.M. San Leandro, CA, United States Arrangements for appointment attempted." I checked my answering machine, voice mail and email and came up with no contact whatsoever. I called customer service 2:00pm July 26 to inform them that no contact had been made for a delivery appointment. After apology, the agent promised to have someone from San Leandro contact me within the hour. That did not happen that day or the next, or at all.

I called back on July 30 to complain about the lack of contact and delivery scheduling. After apologies the agent asked to put me on hold while she contacted San Leandro to get me scheduled. After 15 minutes of holds, I was put in contact with a guy in San Leandro who asked me what I wanted. I asked if he had my tracking and delivery information and he said he did but he was not the scheduler, who was at that moment, busy. I asked if he could get it scheduled and he said "sure, when do you want it". I told him Friday afternoon, August 2 at 3:00pm. He said ok and confirmed my delivery address. I then received the following message: "07/30/2019 9:15 A.M. San Leandro, CA, United States A delivery appointment has been scheduled with the consignee." Feeling somewhat sure that I would have my delivery on Friday, I arranged for contractors to come Saturday to install the awning.

The delivery was never made Friday and I received no contact on any media. I had to cancel my contractor with no idea when the delivery would be made so I could reschedule. Today (August 3) I call "customer service" only to find they have no weekend customer contact. This has been, and remains one of the worst customer experiences I've had (and continue to have). At the least, one would expect a company like UPS to honor their commitments and to provide a way of rectifying repeated failure - even on a weekend.

After an additional two weeks of not receiving reimbursement or notice from UPS, they then inform our company that the issue is not resolved, and is instead still pending review. 15 weeks later, our issue is no closer to resolution than it was the day it was filed. UPS has never made any effort to contact our company regarding status updates, questions, etc. All information regarding status updates we have only been able to obtain via physically visiting the UPS Store.

Our company would like the reimbursement of the damaged product within a timely manner. We were first informed by The UPS Store that the process would take no longer than 8 weeks. We are now entering the 16th week without resolution. The UPS Store informed our company that the insurance claim had been resolved in our favor, then decided to overturn that decision without any notification to our company.
