    Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. They constantly decline my card at Maverick gas station and when I call them, they just tell me to keep trying every 24 hours. What a freaking joke. I never get denied for anything. This company should be shut down by the feds and never be allowed to operate again.

    I wish I could give a negative star... I feel like TELECHECK is holding my information hostage. I have been trying to talk to a real person for 4 days and finally figured out how to get through. I spoke to Claire and she said all I needed was the last 4 digits from an old bank account number so she could help getting this cleared up. I called the bank, got the information and called back. She states that is not the correct information and there is nothing she can do without that information. ??? I then ask to speak to a supervisor but they don't have one on duty. Again.. ??

    When I called back I spoke to Bree, when I ask for a supervisor she hung up on me. I called right back and got the original girl "Claire" and she claim there is not supervisor on duty. TELECHECK is a horrible company to deal with and I truly can't understand why they are in business. I did call the Bank that they claim I had a negative information reported and they said they can't see any reason why TELECHECK is telling this, I'm in GOOD standings with them. I am at a loss of words!!!! PLEASE BE VERY CAUTIOUS when dealing with them.

    For 5 months Telecheck failed to authorize ACH payments for Walmart deliveries that are meant to provide care for rescued pets. As a 20+ year customer who has never had an issue with payment, this is intolerable. Telecheck for the first months failed to appear legitimate when contacted, exampled when the same TeleCheck person answered separate calls on the same day, within 30 minutes and did not ask relevant questions. Walmart customer service response was A1, but limited to reporting only. Though advanced reporting was promised, WM has never emailed or called, far worse because potential fraud on their end was suspected. So concerning, the fraud department at my bank recommended that my online account be adjusted and not allow visibility.

    Four months I was unable to view my account pending WM/Telecheck resolution of their problem. I am a customer that chose to limit each order to combat WM delivery issues, stealing orders, when Emily arrives but Joe is listed as delivery person, argumentative, etc. COVID limitations also impacted my need to adjust orders. Hence adopting 2-3 deliveries most days of a 7-day operation. The Telecheck problems persisted despite efforts to remedy on my part. A second account was established and the issue continued for another month, then (sshhh!) it ended.

    Recently Telecheck resumed their nonsensical failure to authorize payments due to Code 3-frequency of orders and claimed that my accounts belonged to someone else, although WM accounts read accurately. What we have here is WM accepting ACH but Telecheck policy essentially eliminates the payment method as a viable option. Every customer is aware of the need for security measures to defeat as many fraudsters as possible, but when you effectively cancel customers despite having verified authenticity of the customer, the order and payment methods, Telecheck is no longer servicing their client's needs, they are undermining sales and effectuating the loss of customers.

    All WM needed to do was listen to the endless reports filed through their team of customer service representatives, one of which listened in on a call made to Telecheck, who recommended mid-call that I disconnect because the content of the call seemed suspicious. WM, do the math, 2-3 orders daily/7 days, 365 days a year. My private, self-funded foundation was founded 30 years ago. Telecheck's plan to protect WM from fraud is designed to deny customers=revenue. Save yourself the endless and mind-numbing experience, move on to a more responsive company who can appreciate your loyalty and money.

    Telecheck does not seem to be able to approve ANY checks unless the customer contacts them prior to writing one and provides additional information, AND has a conference call with the customer's bank and Telecheck that will verify funds for the future check. Forget about going to a retail point of sale and just writing a check - Telecheck will decline it. They do not seem to have any real or technical capability to verify any account or funds without prior approval. I will avoid any retailer that uses Telecheck in the future.

    I very seldom write checks, but my debit card was hacked and a new one was issued. I don't have my new one yet = it will be a few days before I get it. I went to my local Food Lion and was told my check was declined and they gave me a code. I checked with my bank and I have plenty of money to cover the check. Called Telecheck and they told me I do not have enough experience with them and I do not write enough checks. I had to leave without my groceries. I will not shop at Food Lion again until they use a different check system. They lost a 30-plus-year customer. You would think with modern technology Telecheck could see that there were sufficient funds to cover the check. I refuse to shop at any business that uses their service.

    I wrote a check and was declined due to a code three. I had to pay my bill using my debit card and was charged a 3% service charge on $2,800 all because Telecheck said I didn’t have enough history with their service. I called and complained but it did no good. It is ridiculous that I have to be denied just so Telecheck can get a history before they approve my check. I will not shop at that store again because the entire episode left me regretting I shopped with that merchant. The whole embarrassing debacle cost me $86.

    Called in behalf of a customer, guy screamed at me while I was getting some information and said he is too busy and hung up on me. Second call was better but check still was declined after Telecheck said it was approved and to run it again.

    I spent over an hour selecting groceries at Food Lion & filled up my cart. Since I had not received my new debit card, I wrote a personal check. The check was DECLINED TWICE. I called my bank to make sure funds available. They were! I was told to call the Telecheck number. They verified my ID. When I asked why I was declined when funds were available, Telecheck told me that my "history" with them was not sufficient! I mentioned that my history with my bank was over 30 years old & that the funds were there.

    I ended up dumping my bags & storming out of the store after all that time shopping. I browsed "reviews for Telecheck" on my phone & it seems many others have had the same problem!! I calmed down, went to a Publix & only purchased a few items BUT MY CHECK WENT THRU WITHOUT A GLITCH!! THIS BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE EITHER OUT OF BUSINESS OR REVAMPED WITH CONTROLS BY THE BBB or whomever! My new Debit card was in the mail when I got home but I will NEVER shop at Food Lion again until Telecheck is out of the picture! Anyone else have same issue?? If I could give Telecheck a zero minus, I would!

    Truly the most frustrating experience I've had as a Clover user--I would strongly suggest they find another way to process checks ASAP because this service is unusable. We attempted to accept a check that was declined since my first image was too blurry--I called to get this action reversed, was on the phone for an hour, and they just kept saying "you can accept another form of payment or can accept this check at your own risk." I explained there was no other form of payment (this check was the payment in response to a conference invoice) and that I was TRYING to accept the check but their service was blocking me. This has been a huge time and energy drain on me, my staff, and has gotten in the way of us getting paid for work already completed at a conference. Highly frustrating.

    Horrible customer service because their telephone is automated and you can’t talk to anyone. Their website is the same! Was just trying to update my DL. So frustrated. Have spent much time on phone and web trying to get through to a real live person. They give no email address, only a fax address. Who uses faxes anymore.

    I am retired from Safeway after 23 years, last year. Never had a problem until Telecheck got involved. Now when I try to buy a Gift Card, the "Just for You" Safeway Payment system connected to my Checking account rejects the Sale. Even a $50 Gift Card. At first I thought I was losing my mind and not entering the codes right but I can get a sale through if I don't have a gift card. When I called Telecheck it was like I called the wrong number. Not helpful. I need to buy gift cards to boost Gas Points so this is just another unnecessary Corporate HASSLE.

    Write checks consistently to many stores. Second experience at Meijers (grocery store, Indiana). Denied at cash register, first time took to customer service, staff ran check thru with no issues. Today, staff said I would need to contact Telecheck. I said I have a cart full of groceries, figure it out. They called, after a run around, I spoke with them, asked for my SSN, DL, I gave DL info will not give SSN. Telecheck claimed there had been no check denied! Despite having check with denial in hand, their rep said there is no denial. Store staff finally ran check thru again and it was accepted. Telecheck was no help. Meijers will lose a customer.

    After hanging up on me 3 times I finally reached an agent who asked for the same information I already provided at the store. Then they couldn't tell me if the check would clear next time or wouldn't or maybe yes. Note that the account had sufficient funds. It was very unclear what the reason really was. Useless service. I wonder why companies choose to pay them for their services.

    I had my transaction at Safeway declined today. Mind you this was a debit card transaction with my Chase account. I got declined by TeleCheck for arc payment. Then it magically approved seconds after. Code 801. Calling Safeway corporate tomorrow and if they don't get this fixed I will be shopping elsewhere.

    Telecheck tried to cash a check twice for 2 different amounts. My account was locked and they stated it is unlocked but it was not as Amazon purchase was blocked. I called and they said it unlocked the following day. Asked for an email stating it in writing. Still waiting for the email. No managers after 5 pm employees can do whatever they want. This company needs to fire all of their employees and start over. They even told me there is an Amazon telecheck dept and then transferred me to Amazon. I feel bad for anyone that gets caught up with this company. The attorney General and BBB should shut them down.

    Telecheck has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I tried to make my monthly purchases at Walmart and tractor supply on 4-24-2024. Mind you I have had the same checking account for 32 years. My checks were denied by Code 3 via telecheck. I wrote a check to walmart 3 weeks prior for over $400 and the check went through. Now several weeks later I can’t write any checks without prior approval. I have never written a “BAD” check ever. Now just because I needed to use a check to pay for my purchases now Telecheck can deny my checks no matter how much money is in my bank account.

    Paid with one check and tried to pay for second item with second check only to have it denied. Waited couple of days, second check still denied. Problem never solved with TeleCheck. Used credit card then. 9 months later another check was denied. Told we did not have a history even though we had. Told system would have to be reset but no time given as to when. Supervisor could not give a time either. Actual customer service does not exist at TeleCheck.

    I wrote a check out of the police and fire credit union, which is very well-established and has been for several years. I have been a member of this establishment for over 40 years. I have never had so many problems until I wrote checks to Visionworks and was denied by Tele check. After calling in speaking to one associate who could not help me, I asked to speak to her supervisor who could not help me. This was all after having spoken to an automated system that asked for my information three times. My personal checking information is something I don’t feel comfortable giving out but that was the only way to get through the system. Once the associate got on the phone, she asked for the exact same information which makes that four times.

    After being dissatisfied with her response, and speaking to her supervisor, who asked for the same information the fifth time., the bottom line is, they told me that they did not reject my check and they didn’t know what happened. Really? This happened to me last year as well at Visionworks and I’m having a hard time understanding why no one can settle this for me. I did call Visionworks back to let them know what was happening and they apologized even though it was not their fault. I would like to know what the problem is with Tele check. If somebody could give me that as an answer that might help.

    Amazon/Telecheck double-withdrew funds from my bank acct. They denied they did this and offered no support of any kind. They lied to me. I was turned into collections TRS RECOVERY even though they double drew from my bank acct for 4 different purchases. I have battled them for over 2 months. Finally after 2 months and hundreds of calls Telecheck verified the funds were withdrawn twice. I can not express how awful this experience has been. I am not dealing with Amazon as I found they have no customer service. All I can say is run fast away from Amazon and Telecheck as you will never experience more horrible customer support.

    Tried to make a purchase at Best Buy and my check was declined. I get that they are trying to prevent fraud but it puts legit customers in a very frustrating situation. Ended up using a credit card and deciding not to shop at Best Buy again. There’s got to be a way to verify instead of just declining. Telecheck may have good intentions but they just cost Best Buy a customer. I can go many other places to get the things I usually buy at Best Buy without them saying my money is no good here. Find a better way than just declining because while you may be catching some fraud you are also frustrating legit customers.

    I have had a checking acct for over 45 years. I had to close my acct because the bank compromised it. I wrote a check for$100 today on the acct I opened and it was declined because they did not link my accts. They refused my check saying they had no record of my accts and supposedly I only wrote 1 check in over 45 years of having an acct. When I called they wanted me to look up the numbers of past accts and give them the information of all my past accts. I have been at my present location over 6 years and longer have past information. They forced me to pay by credit card rather than use my checking acct. I am extremely unhappy about this.

    I wrote a check at Best Buy. It was declined. After being thoroughly embarrassed and paid with American Express card, I phoned to find out why. They gave me three reasons:
    1 - I had only written one check in the last 365 days that they were aware of
    2 - The check number was low #1210
    3 - The check amount was too high

    Those are lame excuses as I write checks to vendors and contractors that they never see and when you start with check #0001, what are they thinking? I am glad that a lot of people pay online or with a credit or debit card, because soon their ridiculous business will be gone and I will write a check to buy champagne and celebrate their demise.

    Companies use Telecheck because they get paid regardless. Telecheck is worthless. They act like they know the future. They will put you on hold and call your bank without your knowledge. They are sneaky. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Try not to do business with any merchant who uses them. After two attempts with check process they flag checking account as fraud. TELECHEK DOES NOT CARE. CONSUMER AFFAIRS WILL NOT HELP.

    I have requested my report from Telecheck multiple times over the past 3 months and Telecheck has failed to send me even one copy of my report. I have called on more than one occasion as well, only to sit on hold for over an hour and get some foreign rep who doesn't understand English. I am a victim of identity theft and know that someone opened at least one checking account in my name, which is showing up on Chex. I need my Telecheck report to see if there is any reports indicating other accounts were opened in my name.

    Family get-together. Went to market, spent $239 for food. Telecheck declined check, tried calling 4 times cut me off. Went online, no matter which site fill all info correctly informed error but would not say what error is. Where do they get off telling me how much money I can spend.

    After a $1000 cash advance was put thru in mid February with $25,000 in my account..and NO objections from Telecheck nor the retailer...telecheck denied a $500 request much later offering NO reason for denial....Then I had to spend over 30 minutes on phone with the most idiotic bureaucratic process I can ever remember.. Telecheck claimed I owe them, $1030. Because even though they authorized and retailer gave no objection NO one from Telecheck knew what happened to the $1 000!! Bizarre.

    Telecheck declined an e-check at Amazon. No reason, no “decline code” and no returned check. When I enter all of the information into the web site at https://getassistance.telecheck.com/decline-code-lookup.html I am told that “Not enough information was provided” although it was all provided. When I call the number at 1-800-366-2425, I am told I need to provide a check number. Well, there is no check number since it was an e-check. I am therefore without any way to get through to the system and find out what happened. Extremely maddening.

    This company makes my blood boil! They are trying to take advantage of my grandfather. Background: My grandfather (who is 96 and has Dementia) tried to pay with a check at Walmart but it didn't go through because his account was on hold. So my mom paid for him using her card. And, like most people, we threw out our receipts because it was three months ago. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, we receive this letter from Telecheck claiming that he never paid and they want to charge him $30 extra on top of what he already paid. We'd like to provide proof but like I said, we threw out the receipts and we don't have the check info (because he couldn't remember to write it down).

    I just sent in the dispute form but couldn't provide much proof because it has been so long. This purchase was made in early May and they sent the claim in late late July. It makes me think they waited so long on purpose. This whole situation makes me so mad because he's old and he does not to deserve to worry about this. He's so stressed about it I'm afraid it's going to kill him. In summary, I plan never to shop at Walmart and I hate Telecheck with all of my being.
