Ladies beware of the fake military profiles of widows with small children and on deployment that are being used on this dating website. They will immediately ask for your phone number. Do Not give it. If their text words look like they are talking a little funny or LONG Romantic paragraphs of pledges of attraction and love at first seeing your picture and profile is a sign you are being scammed. I have only been on this site for maybe 1 month and have repeatedly seen this. This website is not safe to use.

My account was hacked. I noticed I started receiving a bunch of POF meet me responses, and when I went to log in my user pass did not work all the sudden. I checked my email and in junk folder there was message that my POF email changed from csr@pof.com. I tried the change password option include in e-mail, but I didn't get e-mail (must of went to new hacker e-mail address). For past several days I have e-mailed for support with just generic responses with links to reset my password which do not work as my e-mail was changed by hacker I'm guessing. Has anyone had physical support from POF customer service for issues like this? I have never had problems like this getting support.

I have been on and off of POF over the last few years. I’ve had a few dates but this site is now declining rapidly. It is all to the benefit of females. Too easy to block the good guys. Plus, spamming and phishing (fake profiles) are rampant. It used to be good but not no more.

I paid for a 4-month upgraded membership in September. In January, I received an email saying that my membership will expire, along with my card the following day. It provided a link for renewing, which I didn’t follow because I didn’t want to renew. The next day, I received a fraud alert from my credit card. Turns out I was on autopay with PayPal and I had been charged. Not what I needed since I’ve been furloughed from my job from the federal government. I contacted POF and told them I did not want to renew and their email was misleading about my card expiring. They would not refund my membership. They did turn off my auto renew.

When I was single 6 or 7 years ago, POF was actually a legit website and you could meet real women by using it. I actually met someone on POF that I wound up marrying. Back to being single again, so created another profile. Now it's a writhing, teeming cesspool of Russian/Indian/whatever scammers that steal photos of models off the internet, create a profile with one photo and a one sentence bio of same half-English gibberish, wait for you to view/message them, and then send you a link to a ** site. This website is hot garbage. Do NOT pay for a subscription to this dumpster fire. Seriously, if you see a picture of an actual attractive woman on this website, there is a 99.9% chance it's a scammer. All the real profiles are for women you almost assuredly do not want to date.

Trying to login to the dating site Plenty of Fish (POF) is absolutely hopeless. In my case, I was on the site about 10 years ago. I think I made the mistake of using the word “sensual” in one my ads. I understand POF wants and succeeds in having good taste and is a classier than experience than all the idiots who were in the Craigslist personals. But, honestly, the word “sensual” warrants a lifetime ban? Once in a while I try, again, to login, create a new user name and-or new password. But the site recognizes my email address and will not allow me to re-establish a new account. POF has plenty of members and they do not care if you cannot login or open an account. They do not need me or you. Move on. Possibly try a print ad in the National Examiner tabloid in the “ Sheela Wood Find A Friend” personal ads. They will not allow profanity or explicit sexual language, but words such as “sensual” are perfectly acceptable. Good Luck.

I have visited the POF website on and off for about 6 years. When I first tried it, about 6 years ago, the website was top shelf. I have seen it deteriorate greatly since then. Yes, the women don't like the guys who only want sex, and the guys are tired of women showing up weighing "tons" more than what their photos show. But those are actual users and not the website itself.

** is a compulsive liar. Not that educated and definitely not a manager. Has wife and kid at home, says she is terminally ill and left him with debt. Telling sob stories all the time. Scamming money and just wants to plenty of ** Buddies with benefits, as well. Cliff isn't his real name! Has a lot of Facebook accounts. Hard to believe that he's divorced then go on holiday together with his Mrs, this was a wedding event as well. Knows how to set up a trap slowly and when you've somehow sussed him out. It's an excuses of lies over lies. Ladies don't be fooled by his posh accent. My private detective had to warn me. Not a genuine person to be good friends with as stated on his POF profile.

Fake ads and fake mail. It's easy to spot them. One word mail. One picture, not matching the correct age of member as stated in their profile. What a pain getting slammed by fakes. Markus is clueless. He's part of this scam. Is there really a Markus. Save yourself some grief and don't join. You'll thank me later. I also got hacked through POF. Didn't appreciate that.

Recently contacted by an attractive man and of course got excited by the, so he wants to chat on WhatsApp, Quite common these days, so I agree. SO turns out that David is out in Turkey on a military mission and he has left his 13-year-old daughter at home in Harborne, Birmingham Uk, with schoolmistress? I did think this a little odd. Another story of his parents dying in a car crash when he was young and his grandmother looked after him.

Very well put together scam this app is. I made the mistake of a upgraded account as soon as I opened a normal one. That's 40 quid I'll never see again. Like everyone else on this page has said. Most profiles are fake sending spam links. Not only that, After you spend a stupid amount of money on upgrading your account the site still constantly pesters you on spending more money on "Tokens" to "get more popular and be noticed faster." What the hell is this!? A casino where you pay every time to spin for a random girl who almost definitely won't respond either because she doesn't exist or because the people that ARE real on this site are precious little princesses that have no personality that think. I should be crawling on my hands and knees just for them to say hello? It's not got a good crowd.

For one I think this site is sexist and allows men to degrade women and insult women with no consequences and do whatever they want. Most of these men on this site are just looking for sex and lie and say they want a relationship or something long term to get it. Once they realize that they might not get it they get nasty and mean and kick the girl to the curb to move on to the next victim. Some men’s profiles even say insulting things about women in their profiles and they aren’t deleted. I think this is run by sexist men who don’t care about how these men are treating women on this site. Women have to go through so much with trying to find a man on here that is not just looking to get in her pants if she actually want a real relationship and not just a hook up.

Since last year I've had 4,246 fake profiles asking me to give them my email address. And I've met 23 women for dates, all of them ugly as. And about 50% of those were already married... I've also noted that around 25% of those had a criminal record. And 10% lost custody of children because of a drug habit. Not a very nice crowd.

After being on POF for a couple of years, I considered becoming a paid member, until I started receiving many fake looks, likes & being favored by users that didn't seem to exist. Lately I've started to see new profiles of absolutely super hot women (Red Flag). I would select that I liked them. To my surprise, they all liked me back (another Red Flag)! When I would go to the Mutual liked page, the profiles didn't exist anymore. When you message some accounts, you could tell they were bots replying with canned responses, totally unrelated to the message you. Most of the replies try to get you to message them off the POF site.

I've been a member of POF for a number of years and decided to upgrade and pay for membership this year. This past weekend after chatting with another member for a couple weeks, I uploaded pics to my profile and shared them privately with this member. I then deleted them from my profile. Shortly after this I went to upload a couple more and was faced with a message telling me my uploading privileges had been revoked. After multiple emails to POF demanding an explanation they replied with this:

Fraud, scam and theft on this website!!! Do not pay for new features like webcam! POF have stolen 100£ from my account. Thieves and nothing real = Plenty Of Fish. I'M still waiting for my money back, but nothing. Be very careful and do not send your card details. POF = scam.

I made a few decent connections on POF, but recently it's being overrun with these gorgeous young women profiles that are clearly fake. They use the same "tagline" and if you upload their profile pic to Tineye.com you'll most likely get 4-40 results showing all the ** photo sites their picture is posted. Reporting them is useless as I half believe it's POF itself doing this. The bottom line is NO gorgeous woman whose picture is a perfect body and face is going to be on POF, which in reality is for the older, plain-faced, overweight woman (majority - sorry, but true).

POF.com is a gross place. Don’t pay for the upgrade - everyone who wants to “meet you” is a **. There are no real people who will ever show up on that tab. Also people there tend to be incredibly shallow, vapid and downright mean. It’s an awful site that is infested with fake accounts. Don’t do it. All it will do is kill your self-confidence. Oh also someone tried to catfish me.

Updated on 12/22/2018: I want to add some more to my previous review. I have a POF setting that prevents people from messaging me unless their message is 50 characters in length. I thought that would stop the sexbots from emailing me. But I just got a message from a sexbot and the message was "Hey there!" Obviously, Markus is behind these sexbots. The site is mostly unusable now as anyone I click on "Who Viewed You" or "New Users", I end up seeing mostly sexbots and no one real. Even when I click on "Who's Online", I see at least 3-5 sexbots. I think that POF is officially dead. Markus must have gotten greedy and decided that he could make more off of sexbots and die hard loyalists than before when it was just upgraded members. Someone needs to make a new dating site because POF just isn't what it was before with the nonstop sexbot spam that Markus allows.

I've soon realized that Plenty Of Fish is posting their own fake women on their website leading you to another website they own, it's funny if you write to them and say you're fake instantly they disappear, I can sit there right over and over and over again to each fake person and instantly they all disappear, if you see a pretty sexy young woman on Plenty Of Fish it's fake. They put that there... How can one site claiming to help lonely people take advantage of them instead...

This site is awful. As soon as I upgraded, I already had messages in my account from bots with profile pics of scantily clad women. Half the messages said the exact same thing: "Hey there!" Then every few minutes I'd get a red indicator at the top of the screen telling me that someone else wanted to meet me, and it showed a profile pic of yet another girl hardly wearing anything. It's all just a bunch of fake profiles looking to scam you in some way or another. Computer generated garbage. Freakin' ridiculous. This website should be shut down!

I have had to create multiple accounts, only to find that the website utilizes shadow banning of users. Certain keywords trigger their system and then you have to change your password which leads to you being full shadow banned. Once you are shadow banned, you still have an account, but you will stop receiving mutual matches from real accounts.

I am writing this review now that I reside in Los Angeles. In 2013 while living in Phoenix, I first started using POF. In 2013 I met a woman and everything was pretty much legit. Here in LA it's a JOKE & a SCAM! I have received emails from Egypt, Nairobi, Kenya and Chad! All of the Threads started out innocent enough...a blonde woman tells me she lives in Van Nuys, or Hermosa, or perhaps Chatsworth...PSYCHE!

I have set up an account here 4 times. The first two times my profile was deleted with no reasoning whatsoever. The third time my account was hacked by my ex-boyfriend, whom I met on that site. The fourth time, I was deleted yet again with no explanation or reasoning. I attempted to contact "support" several different times, in all of these events, with no avail. When my account was hacked, they could have cared less. They wouldn't even delete the profile. Yet, they will delete my legit account for no reasoning whatsoever. This site is full of fake people, perverts, inmates, bots. There really isn't much for security for people's information, profiles or login. I will never use this site again. The one man I met there is a wanted felon for felony stalking in a different state. The site failed to verify any info and so did he. Steer clear of this site. It is shady and unsecure. There are far better sites to be on and there is the real world.

I must confess POF customer service, is a joke. They asked for my credit card, they asked to take a screenshot of my driver's license front and back, said I need to download Google assist, then they said, "WE will give you a 100$ Amazon gift card." Amazon canceled it so fast, I thought my spam folder would burst. I've called 3 times, all I want is an email to reset my password, and my account activated. I was told Robin **, of California and Sam ** of Florida, hacked my account. They responded, we have filed a complaint. Well Hell thanks for nothing. Experian Fraud department 1 888 397 3742. Equifax Fraud department 1 888 766 0008. File A Temporary Fraud Report (ASAP).

Many years ago when it first started out, it was not too bad, and it was FREE, unlike today it's no longer free anymore. Whoever Mark ** is, he don't know the half of what goes on there, they must have paid him off to make his review sound good. Being on the site a couple of times with full profiles and photos, I got squat from the site, except for 16 females who saw me on "Meet Me" and I was notified they all wanted to meet me. Yet I could not look at one of them without Upgrading to $40.00 a month+ and I wasn't going there. Once or twice a week I'd get an email stating I had new Matches...!

There's a huge FRAUD issue here, I received email from user Joy078Page, age of 26, profile that gave me someone’s personal card number info, expiration date and 3 digit ccv number to watch her on vid live sex chat. I was stunned, and amongst the abundance amount of fake profiles, POF does not delete them and uses these fake profiles to advertise out to you to buy their premium account by having these fake profiles say they like your notifications, but you cannot view who they are unless you buy the membership. Aggravations users get having to deal with all this nonsense and POF supports it rather than taking a moral step to temporarily shut down and restructure their dating app. Now, about that card info I received, I screenshot the message with her profile, and I reported it and 12 hours later, message and profile disappeared, but I also messaged that scammer they were reported so more likely the scammer blocked me.

POF.com has absolutely no safeguards and is an ill experience. POF has the audacity to charge for upgrades but no common sense to use a verify system to verify people who sign up?? A simple submit your Drivers License with your photo would do wonders for this site. Instead anyone can sign up with fake photos. There are 100's of Nigerian scammers and men in prison who use this site. POF doesn't care. Not only is this site full of fake profiles, scammers and men in prison but it's full of racists too. Ladies you are better off talking to men in grocery stores or at church or even speed dating. Get off the internet. You will never find anyone "real" and when you do these guys on these internet dating sites don't ever want to meet offline. The type of guys online stay online for years and years until they age out.

I had my POF account for a long time. Recently I reported a guy who kept sending me rude mails. Next thing I know, I can't log into my account. My account got deleted without any explanation! I made a new account with the same info to see I really got kicked off and I was. I was able to make a new account. Then I see the guy who I reported still on POF! I get kicked off and he gets to keep his account? This site has many rude guys so I will be deleting my new account and staying away. POF is a waste of time. You get kicked off for NO REASON!

SPENT A FORTUNE & THEY KICKED ME OFF! POF is really Plenty of Dogs. I followed the rules and they kicked me off the site because a paying member with bi-polar & manic depression had me kicked off. She stalked me and harassed me until I had to get a attorney to send her a Cease & Desist Order. She then contacted POF and lied to them, had my account permanently closed. She posted fake photos and fake information and they backed her. I had 2 women I really wanted to meet and now I have been cut off from them. This site is NOT worth being on for free and if you pay to use it you are a fool.

I was completely happy with POF. I had met somebody we've been talking. Then all the sudden I'm blocked. Will let me update my password. I tried on my laptop computer friends computer...I was blocked. I did nothing one blocked one really crude guy. Why got a new account to find said guy able to find and message then deleted again. What a waste of time and effort. If you are deleting people we should have a right to know why and if it was a petty person who got hurt they should grow up.

Don't start with this company if you might change your mind halfway through. I wrote a tiny bit of profile, then decided not to continue. But POF still send me regular emails promising matches when I have given them almost no information. I have tried the unsubscribe route many times but you just get led in circles with endless questions to persuade you to carry on. How do I make them stop???

Had an account on there a couple of years. I deleted the account after a while but recently set one up again. However, upon setting it up (with confirmation by email) and spending time on the profile, the account mysteriously disappeared. This happened the second time. I've no idea what's going on with that site but the complete lack of any contact details suggests the site is being allowed to die while the owner (Markus Frind) still makes a mint out the poor ** that still use the site and pay for the 'add-ons'. Avoid the site at all costs.

This site is free but certain perks you have to pay for. I have tried this site several times but this last time was the worst. I got approached for sex several times and I believe that one of the guys I turned down had my profile deleted. I was talking to someone I really liked and now I can't contact them or get POF to contact me back in regards to why my profile was deleted. I also can't create a new account. Guess it wasn't meant to be. POF if you see this maybe you should monitor people and complaints better!!!

Plenty of shady things going on on this site POF, fake profiles, soliciting going on, lies, did I mention fake profiles lol etc... Beside fake profiles always being solicited for upgrades trying to get more $ out of you. I honestly think they will label members as upgraded in order to get others to do so stating that you get better results and additional privileges and features non pay members don't get! One of their many scams! There has to be lot better out there. NOT recommended. :-(

I signed up with one of their promos. I then canceled the subscriptions and deleted my account like a week before the promo subscription was over. Six months later I see that POF placed two charges on my card. One for transaction fee and the other was the yearly subscription fee. I quickly contacted POF to return the charges. They were able to return the subscription fee but not the transaction fee. On top of that they have confirmed that my account is still available on file and was not deleted. They informed me that if I wanted the account to be deleted I would need to log back in and follow the steps to delete my account. I have attempted to log in but have not been able to successfully log back in.

This is not my first rodeo with this experience and if something or someone looks too good to be true...follow your instincts. Lots of crazy men on this site. I have had this experience on Match as well, but this time someone contacted me and we texted and spoke on the phone 1-2x wasting about 4 days. I looked at photos and they were too staged. I checked him out on male scammers site. BINGO. POF you are a disgrace - get people's credential, make people show their photo id and charge more and do research. Why is it also fair that men don't pay and women do? I'm DONE and DISGUSTED. I reported this man and had him blocked on POF. Generally they have either never been married, have no children, or lost their wife. They are generally from another country originally and difficult to understand when speaking on the phone. Very smooth this guy was.

This site's a joke overran by bots. If I wanted to be in an active relationship with a robot I'd visit my local sex store. The one plus this site does have going for it is when AI gets to the point where it's self-aware, I will be locked and loaded for robo dating. The owners of this site obviously do not care, I would much rather go back to Match aka the EA of dating sites than have to put up with this STD fueled ** that they call a dating site.

From my experience and research this site is racist against men. I have not seen or heard of any women profiles be deleted. Even in their little rules it's all against men. There is no equal or 50/50. They do not delete the women scammers or bots. They promote them. And if you complain your profile will be deleted, if you're a male like me you can't say nothing or complain. They will not respond. They will just delete you. If you're blocked for no reason they will delete you. And you can never get back on their site, they promote women and don't care about the men, if a women falsely complains or doesn't like you, you will be deleted. They need a good lawsuit against them.

Piece of crap site! Someone hacked my account, used all my info but changed the email and pics. Called support 5 times and kept getting recordings. Office wasn’t open! Closed every day? Very strange, sent 8 emails and still no answer, so basically I’m screwed, some ** is using my info with her pics, lost everything, all my contacts, messages, etc! And they won't do crap to fix it, be careful on this site!!! This site is not legit, no help at all!!!

Keeping it real... I have sent some msgs. I have had problems logging in. Unknown why they would block anyone. Is that not some form of punishment w/o due process? I would say so. I have never engaged anyone so my chances of being blocked are unlikely like many have said they were. I do think that this site is a waste of time.

I was on POF for 6 weeks. During this time... I was catfished by three different men. Each man claimed to be on business trips out of the country... Capetown, Dubai and West London. Two asked for money within 8 days. GET OFF THE SITE... should have done my research as they have a bad reputation.

I'm recently divorced, as of about 8 months ago. I began using POF beginning in the spring, b/c as a super busy career woman that travels frequently, I thought this would be a great way to meet someone. NO! Stay AWAY. The men I met on this site were either felons, and/or just wanted sex. They were also insane. I had to actually block one guy from texting me, & from all of my social media accounts. POF doesn't verify anything about the individuals that use their site. It's mostly felons, & rejects. I've honestly NEVER experienced worst dating experiences more so than when I tried POF.

This is a letter I received from a user on POF. I am a female and this so-called male initiated contact. After a few days, this is the email I get from him. Mind you, he just "happened" to be out of the country for a week in Greece on business. "Glad to hear from you **. Hope you had a good day. You've been on my mind a lot lately since we started communicating. I can't wait till we finally get to meet in person. I've had a very busy week so far with preparing for my trip home this weekend. Done with business here, now rounding up to leave. I'm suppose to be leaving for the States on Thursday night but there's this fee that I have to take care of before leaving (For the shipping of the products of which I Purchased).

On day one they billed me the full 8 month membership when I only wanted a 30 paid membership. Three minutes after receiving the confirmation email of my membership I noticed it said $79.92, 8 month membership. I contacted them. To my surprise there was no phone number only email support. But on my bank statement it does show a phone number 888-345-4454. I emailed support 9/14/18 at 8:36pm EST stating under no circumstances would I want an 8 month membership for something that is unproven and exploratory.

I would receive a lot of "meet me" notifications, which I would come into contact with actual profile at times, and they would not say anything but wants to meet. The few conversations I would have the women would be rude from the beginning conversation for no reason or they would block you as soon as you say hello for no reason. My profile got deleted multiple times. I contacted customer service and on last deletion I was told profile was deleted for suspicious activity when it was a conversation but POF could not deleted the suspicious activity of constant nude or fake profile requests that would flood my notifications.

Online dating is typically a failed endeavor for most people, and POF is a spectacular example of why. The majority of 'women' who contact you are actually bots, fake/spam profiles and cross-dressing transexuals. As far as the real women: the attractive/seemingly desirable few are usually belligerently insecure and jaded against men in general, completely negating the purpose of even having a dating profile. Read their pages and you will often see a ridiculous, unrealistic laundry list of criteria and things they will not put up with, simmering with anti-male sentiment and statements like 'Real men only, no time for losers' or something similarly abrasive and condescending. Good luck getting a response at all, other than them blocking you for no reason.

It’s free, so I didn’t expect much from the women’s profiles (a lot of desperate and shallow) or the site. It is true that you get what you pay for. I couldn’t get in touch with “customer service”. Also, I have had my profile deleted and was not given any notification or a reason. I didn’t even know right away. One woman who I exchanged emails outside of the site told me that my profile and messages were gone. I have read some profiles that said POF will delete profiles. All someone has to do is “report” you for whatever reason which includes standing up for yourself when you don’t agree with the other person.

POF is allowing ** advertisers to create fake profiles. My experience has been frustrating because it’s hard to find a real person. They make hundreds of fake profiles every day, usually of some stunning beauty in a bikini, or maybe even topless. It’s obvious it’s a fake profile. I sent an email to a few of them just to see where things would go, and they respond by telling you to go to their ** site. It’s disgusting.

I created a profile with pictures. I was there for a while and I had someone try to scam me by asking for personal bank information. I denied it. As soon as I complain and reported the account my account disappeared. Numerous tries to contact Plenty of Fish so that I can remove my pictures but the customer service wasn't getting back to me hasn't got back to me. I recreated a different account with no pictures to search if I was still on there and again my account without notice less than an hour disappeared. A company that doesn't reply to resolve a problem to me is running a scam. Since PoF is a foreign from the USA it's definitely running scam to get people's bank information.

I've been with POF now for 4+ years as both an upgraded member and non-upgraded member. In the older days it wasn't too bad of a site once I learned to weed thru all the BS scam artists on here and customer service used to be someone responsive. Those days are completely gone... Now this site has been flooded with young women scammers posing as older women in their 50s and 60s. They post pics of young hotties that are barely dressed. When I contacted a couple of the women they referred me to a website called trustmilf.com so I checked out their web... It was a disgusting ** video site.

When I first signed up for Plenty of Fish (POF) I was very excited. I received over 100 messages and views and requests to meet within a couple of hours! They kept coming for 2 days. Awesome I thought. As I kept reviewing the profiles and messages, everything looked the same and as if it was written by the same person or just a few things were changed, they all looked the same. Oh and about 3/4 of what ended up being at least 200 messages in the end were all decently good looking men which is great but in my age group 50 yrs old, I may not be bad looking but those odds are very unlikely in any scenario.

I used to use POF in my twenties and decided I would give them another try. I had a profile for maybe two weeks that I rarely used. One day, I actually browsed and messaged two guys. Went to log back on the next day and nothing worked. Decided to open a second account after multiple password reset attempts to see if it would say my email was registered to someone else. Second account opened no issues which told me they deleted my account. Second account was opened about two hours and off it went again. Deleted. I officially hate this “free” service. I had absolutely nothing vulgar or against company policy on my profile. They’ll keep the catfish and bots but delete a real person's account for no reason. Grade F for fail in everything. They don’t even send an email to let you know they terminated your account. Never again POF. Keep your sleazy men who all mark very ambitious and have a dead end job.

I was so excited when I joined POF! I was overwhelmed with the number of responses I received! But, that excitement didn't last too long. The quality of the men are poor on this site. I received inboxes from guys who didn't want to post their picture on the dating site, but wanted my personal email address or phone number to send me messages. Thank God I'm smart as I realize most of them are frauds and want to send you personal emails, so they can try and sell you a story to con you out of money. I get the impression that this is a "hookup" site. The men whose profile stated they were decent, turned out to be nothing but con-artists, immature little boys playing games and seeking attention, or bootie calls! Their profile states one thing, but when you began to have an intelligent conversation, they seem to become afraid and will run by not contacting you!

In short, met a person on this site who lists "itself" as male. In reality he/she is a hermaphrodite using a male profile to get females interested. He/she uses several aliases in different sites. This person is still married to its 4th wife. He/she poses as a musician and after speaking to him/her for 6 weeks asked me to marry him/her. I realize this seems farfetched but it's the truth. I have gotten rid of many of my possessions to "live" with this person.

The lack of support, customer service and care of this product is outrageous. A little pride in your site would be nice, just a little. No quality control for who joins. Every day, twice a day I get bombarded with fake likes from sex site members, etc. Reached out to POF customer care, but they don't care, just want your money and customer satisfaction means nothing.

I paid for an upgraded membership three weeks ago. At first, I received a lot of messages. However, that quickly faded away. POF offers 24-hour tokens to "boast" your profile for $1.99/each (or about $60/month on top of paying for membership). In other words, POF promotes your profile if you buy these tokens; otherwise, it is hidden. When I asked POF about this marketing scheme, it did not respond. Numerous users sought to "pimp" me; requesting I contact someone not on POF, providing their email/phone number.

I've been on POF for less than a week and have met a person that is real. So far all is good, will see how things progress. We first sent 4-5 emails back and forth, then I ask if we could meet and she stated that it sounded nice and I told her of a place not far from me and we have agreed to meet there.

Very poor customer service. They don't vet the profiles and they allow criminals, wife beaters and abusers to become members. The man posing as single and successful are actually married and financially broke.

I had been a long time member of POF & it used to be about the best free dating site out there. Not anymore. There has been a massive influx of scam profiles, some even showing images of hardcore ** & they continue to post these profiles rather than previewing them BEFORE they go live. Apparently, the only thing that will take them down is a member complaint, after they have had time to scam someone. They keep showing up over & over & over again! I got sick of it, sent several emails to "Markus" with a list of urls of obvious scam profiles telling him he needs to take some of the money he got from the Match buy out ($575 million in cash, by the way) & start policing these scam profiles BEFORE they go live.

They need to get control over all the spam. Good luck finding any real accounts on there. Spam and sex solicitation is about all you will get. You will not find anyone, because by then you will be too frustrated about going through all the spam and bs accounts.

My wife and I are separated and divorcing, she placed a profile on POF and from what I understand has been finding guys online. This past week I got a strange phone call from one of those guys. It was a very scary call, in which the guy named David found my contact information and proceeded to tell me that he planned to meet her for a date and ** the ** out of her. I confronted my ex with the information but it appears that she doesn't want to believe me. Most alarming to me was his knowledge of my family, children's names, school addresses, etc. Clearly this guy wasn't very stable and my ex is totally clueless about the type of men that don't care less about woman. I'm waiting for the day I get a phone call telling me that my ex is in the morgue.

I have read that people are finding games and boys on POF. Well duh it's a dating website. You have to filter through the garbage. I met a wonderful man on POF back in 2013. We chatted and met in person. We hit it off real well. We got married towards end of 2014 and have been together since.

I signed up on Plenty of Fish with the best intentions on meeting my other half, I even paid $40 Canadian for the two months upgrade. The first day I was on, I started to get contacted from fake profiles, sex invites, bots everywhere, very attractive and sensual women asking for my email to start a video call. I felt harassed and molested. I reached out to POF to let them know about how disturbed I was, I also asked for a refund. They didn't contact me back. I'm very disappointed. This site has to face all the allegations and to do something about it. They are stealing and nobody has done nothing.

Sad I can't go lower than one star. It seems that a large number of women's profiles are totally fake. The cut and paste pictures are a joke. "Fine dining and world travel" tells me all they are looking for is a fat bank account. The one date I did have the woman talked on her cellphone the entire time we were suppose to be having dinner. I excused myself, paid the bill and left her there still on the phone. Isn't there a decent woman (and I do not mean a Walmart queen) who is seriously interested in having a relationship? It is a free dating site, and one expects so many jerks and cons...but I was getting cons like crazy (they would have stated on their profiles they were from the province, we start to text...their # is from the USA, they all have wives that died). Even the men who stated they want relationships...friends with benefits. People who are seriously looking for someone are getting slammed by this, it's hard to look for someone when after a while you don't believe anyone...how can you.

This site when it first came out was used by a lot of people. It was good for dating and hookups. But then things changed and the admins started to ban any accounts that were sexual. Now it's dead and full of bots. 90% sure half the people there are fake. Just make it look like the site's alive.

I went on this site less than 1 day. When I attempted to respond to people, it would say, "no internet connection" - which was garbage. I'm always connected to wifi. I couldn't see anything, couldn't write anything, couldn't read or respond. So I attempted to cancel my account. All of a sudden, I was off the site, with no way of logging back in. All PW and emails I have no longer work. I went to ask for a PW reset, it tells me the reset link was sent, but nothing came through. I knew I wasn't kicked out, because I continued to get messages but couldn't open the app!

Stay away from POF. It will freeze on you, lag for hours at a time, log you out of your profile all the time, and if you complain to them about it directly, they'll boot you off of their site for asking to fix the problem. Haha they're a joke of a website. They're worse than being cheap!

I found it to be a waste of money keep getting matched up with people from other states and I see on this forum a lot of men are complaining about the woman being too picky. Well that's not complain about the men. Most of them don't want anything serious. It's like Craigslist on the down low. I got a lot of guys to just want to have sex and I clearly say in my statement I want something serious. At least try for something serious. I got a lot of men that told me I was too fat which is fine. He like what you like but you really don't need to tell me that. Just don't reply to my flirt. The first response that I got was, "Hey beautiful want to have sex?" I've tried several different dating sites and I've only gotten proposition. No one asked me for a date. A real date. I'm not blaming Plenty of Fish but they at least could have better filters.

I would give POF no stars if I could. I will never ever use POF again. Very displeased on many levels. Felt mislead in buying a membership to use "premium features" definitely not worth upgrading. At the end of my membership I went to the account settings to make sure that the renewal box was not checked. However, they renewed anyway and it took some searching before I found a way to contact and ask them to give me a refund. I was waiting for a reply and found a response, that ended up in my spam folder. Was told that my "membership" was not refundable. Very unethical business practices.

I've been on this site for about a month. Suddenly out of nowhere, last night I had trouble logging in. The site kept saying my username or password were incorrect (they're NOT). I clicked the "forgot password" link and was told I'd receive an email to reset my password. I never got it - was not in any Spam/Junk folder. I tried clearing my cache/cookies, didn't make a difference. Someone suggested turning off your VPN/proxy (I'm using my desktop), but that didn't work either. I found a customer service email address, sent them my complaint, and again never heard back.

I "met" two men from this website and started corresponding with them. Gave them my e-mail and was thinking that maybe one of them would be really the one. They were both away in Europe on business, one in Greece, one in France. Anyway, before they could come back to Colorado, one needed $8000 and the other one needed $1000 for some business related issue. I said, "Absolutely not!" I reported them to POF, and then immediately unsubscribed.

POF is just not dealing with the people trying to scam money from you. One guy posed as a military guy who wanted my bank info. Reported him. Then a guy who wanted me to send him Steam credit cards. Reported him. He had me contact him on WhatsApp. The image is the dialog of his scamming and me calling him out. Reporting is useless. They just make new accounts and start all over again. Bye POF.

Let's start with I am not computer literate. Found hard to navigate site, was only on it a few days, then for no good reason they dropped me... couldn't sign on, using correct name and password, but they kept saying wrong password or user name. No place to call for help, just kept going in circles! Tried to reset a dozen times, no luck. Called my ISP for help, finally found e-mail in my spam folder saying my membership (I had Upgraded) was in process of being refunded, thank God, but I have NO IDEA WHY! I didn't use any vulgar language, sexual things, nothing I said that was prohibited in their rules that would get me kicked off.

POF seems to have very strange priorities. They're very obsessed with blocking out any form of sexuality, o much so that they edited a guy's profile because he mentioned bartending and cocktails, which they turned into **. Yet, they don't seem to have good control over their own coding and settings. Despite a setting saying I only want to be contacted by local people, I keep getting messages from people in other parts of the country. Unless I slept through a bunch of earthquakes, Florida and California definitely aren't within the 75 mile limit on my contact filters. Even though they obsess over **, there are still plenty of ** pictures. Clearly, they don't have their act together. E for effort, though... and P for prude, too.

When you sign up for the free version, you will be barraged with emails informing you that this one and that one wants to meet you, viewed your profile, faved you, etc. They will tell you a user's specific name as well... but then you cannot look up the user by the name. POF.com was a stable website and has fast good results. I like the layout of the website. It looked smooth and I was able to navigate it easily. I like the variety of people and the overall ease of it. I like the name and it has plenty of fish. It’s charmed. The people was honest. I also liked the members and everyone was very friendly except a few bad eggs lol. Profile customization wasn’t that very good at all but it was good in some areas. Criteria was also lacking. However, there wasn’t a mobile app for my device so I never really used it. Some of the women are rude. The main thing I dislike is the no app for Amazon as that’s a real let down.

POF is very particular in question and very easy to customize. Finds very specific matches. The questions are in depth and meaningful when it comes to find someone you are compatible with. I usually have common matches on this site more than other platforms. Every user seems to be legit. Most dating sites have mostly fake users. I enjoy the way POF is currently set up. But for some the name including fish is offputting.

I wish I knew how they matched. It was hard to find women who are my type. I dont think the chemistry test was true to who I was. The profile customization is good, could be better. Other things I like are based on people using the app and less about the app itself. All in all, the site looks easy to use.

My experience with POF.com was ok. Seems to me like it is more for people to hook up or for sexual experiences. I would like dating sites that filter out sexual content because thats just not what Im looking for when Im looking for a date with someone. I did not want to give it another go. There was nothing wrong with POF.com but, most of the men on there were middle aged ** men. Now, I don't have a problem with middle aged ** men, they are not my type at all. POF was an interesting dating site that I used since it really narrows down the choices of people and I like that some of them find people that you have things in common with. But I don't like that some people can be absolutely profane and horrible but not be punished or have their accounts removed. I also hate the feature that lets random members send pictures of themselves to you since they send really perverse, disgusting pictures and then I end up banning 30-40 people in less than 48 hours.

Plenty of Fakes: This site was not worth my money, so many women were scam artists, met one who begged for pictures, then complained! I was completely clothed! (Found out she was from Philippines)! I love the diversity in people on the site, how friendly everyone is, how easy to use, etc. I do enjoy how the site itself is set up. I love the customization the site allows on profiles. However, I dislike the overly long application process and how many fake accounts there are. Despite not having as many fake accounts as other dating sites it still has quite a few and I do believe that issue can be fixed. The site and app itself times out on my phone way faster than it really should which made registering a pain. Overall pretty positive experience with Plenty Of Fish. I have found it easy to find and see many potential matches. Matches were all within my area.

I feel like Plenty of Fish was probably the best app that I’ve used to begin dating. I went on a date and the girl was super matched up with me although the feeling wasn’t there at the end of the night. I commend the Plenty of Fish app for bringing me to meet someone so comparable with me. Honestly it was a pretty good experience. I did think it was kind of hard to meet certain people because some people are so desperate but you can’t tell that from an initial picture lol. They should show you how long they've been on the app and how long they’ve been single because that would definitely help in the long road dealing with girls that have been around and around with guys but they don’t have any real dating experience.

I can find men on POF.com but everyone I find always needs money. All are scammers. All men I have talked to have put fake pictures and profiles on their pages. Even on the sites you pay for they still manage to fake their information. POF just taken out their customer care number and chat option from their website and making trouble to everyone. I just used the number I previously have of POF [+1-818-322-0217]. They just answered and activated my account but again got trouble log in.

I liked the ability to search based on the different criteria like heights and religion. I also liked the ability to use the app on the iPhone and message on that app as well. But my overall experience on POF has not been very good. The quality of matches is poor and search criteria never fully works. There are many fake profiles and people that will write vulgar messages. There needs to be more moderators looking for fake profiles. There should be more specific search criteria for items like education and religion.

Most of the matches were of standard quality but like with any site, I wish they would crack down on overly aggressive members who are immature. It takes the fun out of online dating. Rejection hurts but be an adult. I did get a lot of response when I was on POF but ended up meeting my current husband on a different site. However, I don't doubt that POF is a decent place to find a potential mate if you're careful and selective with who you connect with. The diversity of the people on there was interesting and I did like how easy it was to communicate with others. Creating a profile was really easy. POF is odd; asks if a car is owned? Quality of matches is LOW; very rural. I am not sure there is any criteria at all with whom they allow on the site. They should provide matches that are actually workable; There are truly so many bizarre characters on this site; lots of nude messages and requests for hook-ups. I wish there was a better match criteria. It's free but free does not yield quality most times. There is the ability to search nations-wide; I like the limitations that can be placed and the mail settings.

Give a phone number straight away or close, nothing but ghosting, give email, ghosting. The first thing that I liked about using POF was that it was free. They had quite a few profiles in my age category from different walks of life. The website was easy to maneuver around to look at the different profiles. But I would like to see more of a selection of men who were "serious" about meeting someone for a true relationship and not just for sex. Quite a few men were only interested in a physical kind of meeting and nothing on a personal level.

POF.com is a very easy site and app to use. The match criteria is very accurate and can honestly figure out what I am looking for and what I am not. The quality of matches I am happy with and the people I interact with. The profile customization is also a breeze because I can tailor it to what truly describes me as a person and a mate. I have used dating apps in the past and I could tell not a lot of thought went into designing it. But POF.com knows how to make this site easy to use and match with other potential mates. There are some improvements that can be made to the site. First, users should have the opportunity for a quick chat with potential mates as to not waste each other's time. This allows for a quick interaction and not just match or talk based of a few words or pictures. A brief get to know you would for sure go a long way in getting better quality matches.

POF is a ripoff. It doesn't allow you to see the people that are interested in you unless you pay but they market themselves as a free dating app and I think that sucks. If I had known that I need to pay to see other peoples profiles and communicate with them I would just go to a better site that's upfront about having to pay like Match.com. I would feel better about going to POF if they told you upfront that you have to pay for some or most features instead of deceiving you right from the start. They should at least offer a free trial or an option for watching an ad to get a free view are a response.

Plenty of Fish has been a reliable site and always been able to use it 24/7 when I want. It does the best they can to connect people looking for specific criteria but ultimately it is up to all users to be completely honest and update their personal info and interests often. It gets frustrating when a suitor doesn't present themselves as they advertised. Also, Plenty of Fish should find a way to filter people's dating motives a little better. It would be nice if people were required to update photos more often and to be specific on the physical criteria they were looking for.

I thought it very easy to use. It's fun to go on-site and get to know people. The matching criteria is pretty good. They feature men I could relate to and the quality of the matches are fairly high. Their e-mails are send fairly regular but not overwhelmingly. They offer a good amount of info on each applicant. The personality questions are direct but easy to answer. PlentyOfFish.com is one of the few sites I still keep in contact to. But it would also be nice if they were to come down on their prices or offer a few specials. Also sometimes it is a bit hard to update photos, but this maybe just me and my computer.

There are some really crazy people on POF. A lot of people who online date have real issues. I would not use any other website to find a mate. People who use online dating seem to have some type of issue or self-esteem problem and you won't be able to trust them because you met them online. I met some men who just wanted to hook up for sex. I have seen and heard POF used in a lot of television shows and I have also heard some bad things about it in the news. It's not safe. It's very dangerous and it was a bad experience. I met my kid's father off of POF and I wish I never did. We dated for four years. He was a hot mess and abusive. I would never use POF or any other dating website again. I would prefer to be single.

Plenty of Fish is an alright dating site. People on there seem to be younger and less mature. Mostly young women who already have kids. It is easy to use and to find matches. I like that I can talk to women and find women who were interesting in my profile. I can search people and browse their profile to find common likes. I really liked how fast it is. I found multiple people who liked me on the first week. Most the women of my age already had kids (mid 20s). But everything else was great.

I used POF only briefly. I did not pay for premium features. I have not had great success with online dating. It is hard to know what people want. I think you try to represent the best version of yourself with the limited window into your world, but maybe a good match misses you because you did not frame your qualities the best way. Still, it is good to meet a variety of people whose paths you might not cross otherwise. And you can filter for certain qualities or likes that you could not know just by looking at someone. While it was educational, I prefer to connect with people in real life, to see what they are really like and so they see how I really am.

The Plenty Of Fish site isn't the best or the worst. I've been on but their app - needs major updating on location search because it's way off and many profile requirements need to be updated and mandatory like must have main profile pic of only you, must see face and actually look at profile to see if it's a fake profile before approving it.

When I last used POF.com it was user-friendly. It would always give me plenty of matches and the quality was usually alright. Sometimes it could be better. I really liked that most people on the site seemed easy going and down to earth. There are so many sites now and sometimes some sites seem to cater to certain types of people but POF wasn't like that. I like the type of people that used it. But the site could use some updates and perhaps not look so outdated sometimes. It has been a while since I've used it so it's possible that it's already been updated.

My overall experience with POF.com is not bad, very easy to use, profile customization is good, the matches could be better but that's what you got from free site I supposed. It is nice that you can hide your profile so I can only message people that I want to without getting tons of messages from a lot of people. But there are too many spam and messages and can not really do much because we have to pay for certain things, missing out a lot of matches but I do not want to pay for that kind of site.

I've been on and off POF since prior to January 2018. I had a decent experience until this year. I never had a catfish reach out to me until January. Usually I talk a little online then the guy asks to talk on the phone then if it all seems cool we meet, however, starting in January I had 2 men give me fake phone numbers that were only set up for texts. They kept trying to give me excuses and that texting is easier but I saw on the tv show Catfish that people get these fake phone numbers, so I gave the guys crap and reported them. Ever since then I check out the profile and if it has a ton of grammar and spelling errors when they claim to have a BA or even graduate degrees I ask them what country are they in cause they sure aren't here. Now I give them more crap and post the 1st sentence of my profile that I won't respond kindly to catfish.

I like the privacy and security. And it's free. I also like that you can block people. I liked meeting some of the people. POF is easy to use, but too many head games. But it's almost like it's too easy to meet people so no one is serious about wanting to seriously date. It's more of a meat market than the clubs.

Plenty of Fish is by far my favorite dating app. It's funny my boss uses it too for hook ups and we are always talking about our experiences. It's pretty cool that you can actually hook up online so easily in this day and age. I did not have this technology in high school but man, if I did, high school would have been so much better! I'm glad I have it now though. I like being able to really analyze who I am about to meet before actually talking to them. I've actually used other sites where it's hard to tell what the person is really like or if it is ok to talk a certain way to them. I've embarrassed myself a few times but with POF is pretty easy to get a good idea of who you are going to be talking to so you don't make a fool of yourself.

POF.com was a total waste of time. The members were not there to find long term meaningful relationships. They were only there looking to get lucky and have casual sex. The app was easy to use from a mobile phone. It listed the people nearest to your location. The relationship surveys also helped me to take a deeper look at myself and those I wanted to date. However, I feel this dating app was not taken seriously by those who used it. Too many people looking solely to "hook up." The price of a full membership is not valuable.

It's a website easy to use and set up. The profile questions are appropriate and there is a lot of people to choose from but I was not impressed with the date that I got. The date did not match my interest at all. The criteria selection should be better to actually get someone that has the same interest and goal. Other than that, most of the people that say that they are looking for a serious relationship are looking for 1 night stands. Do not waste your time.

There was a lot of different guys to meet and they had a pretty nice website layout. I met a guy on it a few years back and we dated for a few months until he moved away for college. I didn't like that the site was set up weirdly when you were trying to see who had matched with you based on your interests. Nevertheless, I've had an alright experience on POF and I would be willing to use it again at a later date and time.

Nearly all fake accounts from what I can tell. Also, the real accounts seem to be from people who suffer from acute obesity. Worse still, is the number of mass ** accounts soliciting members. Absolutely filthy website. Needs to be shut down indefinitely.

It was good experience, I got few matches and I found the POF.com easy to use and user friendly. Also you can see the brief description of the person what he/she is looking for. I like that you can approach anyone you like without bothering that person by just liking its profile and if that person also like your profile then we have a match. But I would like to change the GUI of the website as it is not that attractive, in fact it is dull and does not go by dating site look. Also I would like to change the way in which we look at picture. It should be more enlarged.

POF is an absolute disaster site with nothing but trash! I think this is the most useless site on the net. I met someone on POF who was a malignant narcissist who stole everything from me. He physically and verbally abused me. I wouldn't visit this site again if it was the only place on the net to visit. I think troll sites like these should be banned from the internet. This is the most useless site I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. This POS site harbors thieves and liars. What a scum of the earth business.

My overall experience with POF has been just so-so. I like that POF is free to use. It allows you to register under various sexual orientations and not just designed for only heterosexual singles. It's free to communicate with anyone without needing to pay money. However, there aren't many profiles with users looking for long term relationships and not a lot of members I'm physically attracted to. Some of the accounts seem like were just made because it's free. It seems like many pages are created out of boredom and then abandoned and forgotten about. People may take it less serious, because it isn't a service they're paying out of pocket to use.

I like that men do respond to my profile on there that makes it worth going on the site to see what out in the world. I just wish some of them were not married men looking for extra sex. POF has a lot of people that are not really wanting to date just talk to people. I have had a lot of men trying to find me on Facebook that won't take no for an answer so that a little bit harsh to have to be mean to someone. I would make sure that there are no players on there and find out if the men or women are married. I hate talking to a man and found out later he married. A lot of men use that site for extracurricular activities against their spouse. I hate that part of the dating site.

Plenty of fakes: This website is a joke and met a police officers and they are disrespectful, married, with no money, full of emotional problems, they only want to put your skirt up. Another guys if you are not in the number 10 they ignore you, they don't take time to meet a woman. A lot of men with no job, no car, no money... please ladies don't waste your time in this dating site.

This site is quite possibly the worst thing I’ve ever encountered. I’m a woman, and the amount of losers on there in their 30’s with no car or job is astounding, almost every guy on there has kids and they are “their world”. If you’re not a perfect 10, most guys will not respond to your messages or they will be extremely rude, which is a red flag that all any of them are looking for is a hookup. There is a reason why all these people are on a dating site, and it’s because there is something wrong with all of them! No car, no job, no phone, no teeth, a drinking, drug, or lying problem.

Completely fake. 99.9% of the profiles are fake. Bots set up to entice you to pay for a membership. You'll continue getting these blurred out messages you can't read from beautiful women. All messages are from beautiful women, ALL of them. Once you pay you so you can read the messages, they're nothing important and you no longer receive any messages except for the occasional one from management telling you to upgrade your membership. So that your profile will be more noticeable. It's set up to hook you and have you pay for a membership. That's all. Not a real dating site. Common sense tells you that a woman that is not so attractive can still get a man, and even an unattractive woman can get laid anytime she wants. So why in the world would they be on this site? They can go literally anywhere and find a man. Use your heads guys. The head with the brain. Go to a real dating site. This is not one of them.

I have been disrespected/disregarded by POF. I reported a man on this site in which I went on 2 dates with. The initial meeting was at a McDonald's for 5 mins. I was busy. The 1st date was good, casual but the 2nd dates he was forcing himself on me. It was the worst experience ever. I told him he needed to slow it down. He was talking about moving in, kids meeting, and the future. To me it did not seem right. He just would not listen to me so I stop talking to him and blocked him. He did not know where I live. I have boundaries when dating someone new. He would not stop. Emailing me, texting me from different numbers, POF messaging me “you **," what got me the most was "I love karma, karma is a **, I hope I gave you my STD.” I NEVER had sex with him. I literally was telling him to stop the whole time. I promise that on my children and my life. He knew I was uncomfortable.

This site is full of lies. Pictures are not real and everyone lies about their age. I met a few people online and they don't seem like the ones in the picture. POF keeps asking me for money to upgrade and I get a lot of spam. SHAME ON YOU POF!!! This site should be taking down. I hope there is a class action lawsuit building up against them to shutdown. Meanwhile I switched over to Match and they are much better and more professional. Beware of POF!

Meeting new people, seems like a scam. They promote users, yet I think they are promoting something else. When looking for a number to call, there is no number. If one is giving money, there should be a number to call, just in case. They are really wrong!

POF what a rip off. I've been on here for just on 5 years. Should have given up after 12 months of paying. It's just like eharmony. Everyone wants to meet you until you pay... then they become fake profiles just like the sites...

I am off work from injury, broke, goes and takes what I have left, I signed for 2 months, I did not want subscription, there was nothing but spam on the site. Was on a week and haven't been on since. I can't believe they can just rip you off like this.

I joined POF because the reviews online said it was different than the other dating websites and that the success rate was much greater than any other site. After being on there for a total of two days I was contacted by about 12 'women', all of whom were scammers from Ghana and all demanding money or phones so "we can chat and exchange pictures". This site, along with Ashley Madison and all other dating sites are being overrun with thieves now that Craigslist has shut down their personal ads.

Plenty of Fish will take a pre-authorized payment from your PayPal account if your credit card is on there and then will not give it back stating you had pre-approved payment... be careful. Make sure you go into PayPal and delete the pre-authorized payment, these people are evil and don't care. All they want is your money!! They did it to me deducting for a year!! $85.00.

I know that many people today are tight on time and therefore looking for ways to meet others and sadly dating sites like POF are attempting to lure such clients by making outrageous promises which are never fulfilled due to misleading promotions along with uncivilized and lying members. As a man I can only provide a review of the women members but it is fair to say that this review applies equally to most of the male members as well. To begin this is a "free" site (as POF claims) but if you're a man then I would like to inform you of the pitfalls. First, women get to use POF without charge but men are now required to pay by purchasing tokens. How these tokens work still remains a mystery because nowhere does POF explain the policy they apply for tokens so your best bet is to purchase the minimum which will cost $2.25.

Won't let you search parameters other than what they think you should want. You enter a search and they change it so you don't get results other than what they think you should get. I get notices some member wants to meet me but when I look at their profile, it says they've never looked at mine. So how can they want to meet someone they've never even seen? It says it's free but to communicate with anyone you have to pay. POF is really a POS site. Piece of **. It is a waste of time and money to be on this trash site.

Well I have been on this site in the past and had mixed results but my most recent experience has been horrible and what is worse is the fact that I gave them $40 of my money for an "Upgrade" for 2 months, complete waste of money and time as more than half of my meet me connections are all bots, people advertising **, scammers, or fake profiles, and the few actual real women I have connected with and/or messaged either ghost really quickly, or just don't reply at all, and they have such strict wants and requirements to even message them, this place has turned into a cesspool. I have already canceled my sub and I will be contacting their customer support to see about a refund for the time I will not be using and have them delete my account, also what's worse is they link to sex hookup sites and all 3 of them are basically reported as scams by most reviewers.

The majority of the girls I will come across on 'meet me' are girls with completely nude, ** profile photos and the majority of such girls message me wanting me to sign up on their live online sex cam website and pay them for 'a show'. Really? I tried this site because it was recommended by a friend. I keep getting messages from people that say their friend just saw my profile and wants to get in touch. Or the last jerk sent me a text and we started communicating. Then he gives me a phone number and states we should talk or meet and that would be better than using POF. Ok text to that number with no reply, email through POF with no reply. Then I realize that the first story and the latest are very similar. Both persons are from out of the country, both are widowers. Just too many coincidences.

After 10 months and 3 different dating sites. I never met anyone in person. POF has a upgraded section called wants to meet you. I was contacted multiple times, with no in person meets. A few prospects carried on a chatting for a couple days, but when it came time to meet, they disappeared with as much as the conversations to show for it. One of them disappeared as soon as I pointed out she lived within 4 miles of me. Some of them try the damsel in distress act. They try to get you to send them money cards to save them.
