POF.com was a meat market. All the women there wanted to hook up for sex, for the most part. It was fun, but you probably wont find a long term relationship on it. However, I like that the people are local. I hate a long distance relationship! I did like the fact that there were a lot of women to choose from, and the fact that they put pictures up. I do not like blind date type of setups. No thanks! Everything was set up correctly but maybe they can put a button to try to meet someone in person immediately.

I have use POF many times and my experience on the site has been very positive overall. I like that layout of Plenty Of Fish a lot and like that it is a free site to use too. I also like the way it lets you set up your profile to find interesting woman that you could be compatible with on site. I have found the site to be very good at finding matches that I am interested in. I have found friendships and dates on the site. I have use POF many times and I have found many woman on here to talk too and have talked to many for many months. I have many woman that are very interesting and that I have a lot in common with on the site. I have also talked to many on text and on the phone. I definitely will continue to use the site in the future to find dates and to find friendships. Awesome and involving website.

I feel like Plenty of Fish was probably the best app that I’ve used to begin dating. I went on a date and the girl was super matched up with me although the feeling wasn’t there at the end of the night. I commend the Plenty of Fish app for bringing me to meet someone so comparable with me. Honestly it was a pretty good experience. I did think it was kind of hard to meet certain people because some people are so desperate but you can’t tell that from an initial picture lol. They should show you how long they've been on the app and how long they’ve been single because that would definitely help in the long road dealing with girls that have been around and around with guys but they don’t have any real dating experience.
The app was super easy to use and I appreciate all of the accommodation made available like the emails and such that was sent to me. The match criteria was very well built as I went on date with a girl who was practically just like me but we didn’t have a spark and maybe because I was thinking about another girl the whole night IDK but I know that they brought me someone that matched my interest and that’s what I requested so it went pretty well.
I did like how when I went to go and meet new girls it would show me who liked me unlike sites like Tinder where it won’t show you another person unless you guys match which is kind of unreliable because what if you never match with a girl you know like it really wasn’t worth going on Tinder but I completely understand that some people can't use apps that easily as Plenty of Fish and it makes sense on why it was so well rounded and helped me find the perfect person of interest.
Plenty of Fish was pretty well made by some ingenious people like they had to go to a college to learn how to do things like communications and or get a technology degree and it paid off very well. In my opinion will I go on again with them not because I’m not deprecate like that but I definitely would recommend it to my friends that are actively searching for girls and or guys to date because I gotta be the best friend I can and I would appreciate if someone helped me like that too.

I can find men on POF.com but everyone I find always needs money. All are scammers. All men I have talked to have put fake pictures and profiles on their pages. Even on the sites you pay for they still manage to fake their information. The only thing I like about dating sites is the ability to talk to men without trying to look for one in bar or other places. If the men I meet were who they say they are. If only there were some way they could screen the people better. You never know who you are talking to. You never know where they are from. They can tell you anything they want to. And it can be scary sometimes.

My quality of matches has been fairly good with about more than half of the matches being great people that I looked forward to meet. I don't think I've ever had better matches when I used other apps or websites but POF really accurately picks and chooses dates and matches. I feel like this website truly knows me. The using of the website is extremely easy and it makes me feel very tech savvy. I love the profile customization because it lets you change a lot of things. But sometimes the website freezes up and I have to refresh many times in order for it to be able to come back on and for me to be able to properly use it without any interruptions.

POF was excellent. I met my current fiance through the dating app. The app provides detailed information and allows you to find the best match based on your dating preferences. I liked that it eliminated thought of being catfished because it is most detailed dating site I have ever tried. Moreover, it has a lot of members so it was great candidates to choose from. It's also free so you dont have to pay to message people or read your messages which is a huge relief.
If later you delete and try to make a new account you get blocked off of POF. I think changes would be ability to add more pictures to profile account. Also if you want to recreate account based on fact you never found a match or the person you dated it's didnt work out it should be a hassle to get your account back. Also they need better customer service when you're having trouble with account and need someone to reach. Like maybe a live chat or something.

POF was a enjoyable app. A friend of mine told me about it because she have been using it for a while and she thought that I would like it and she suggested that I give it a try. That's what I did and I'm glad I did. And since then I even started recommending it to some of my other friends because I know they will enjoy it as well. The quality matches are good and ease of use of the profile is amazing. I like the matches and how the profile page is set up and be customized. I also like how easy it is to look for local singles in my city and state. This app is better than a lot of other dating apps I have tried and I would definitely use this app again in the near future.

Overall it's easy to setup a profile and connect with people. But PlentyOfFish was a ride! Not guys I would ever get serious with, there needs to be more quality men on there. They were foul, if you're looking to hook up with randoms; that's the site for you. Not the people I wanted to connect with! Asking for "pics" and other much unsavory things before even saying hello (not that saying hello would make it okay.) They just weren't the people that I wanted to connect with. I'm not the type of girl those men were looking for. Don't do it.

I have used Plenty of Fish. It was easy to use and easy to update information. I liked the variety of people, but everyone on the site seemed to think they were better than everyone else. It made me never want to use a dating site again. I never had any luck on POF though. I finally decided to just give up on all dating sites. There is no way to change a dating site to make people any less superficial. You can't change people. If you could base it completely on a profile and not a picture, it would be nice, but nobody would use a site like that.

I liked the ability to search based on the different criteria like heights and religion. I also liked the ability to use the app on the iPhone and message on that app as well. But my overall experience on POF has not been very good. The quality of matches is poor and search criteria never fully works. There are many fake profiles and people that will write vulgar messages. There needs to be more moderators looking for fake profiles. There should be more specific search criteria for items like education and religion.

Most of the matches were of standard quality but like with any site, I wish they would crack down on overly aggressive members who are immature. It takes the fun out of online dating. Rejection hurts but be an adult. I did get a lot of response when I was on POF but ended up meeting my current husband on a different site. However, I don't doubt that POF is a decent place to find a potential mate if you're careful and selective with who you connect with. The diversity of the people on there was interesting and I did like how easy it was to communicate with others. Creating a profile was really easy. You can make a lot of matches on there and it is definitely a worthwhile site to join if you are considering online dating.

POF is odd; asks if a car is owned? Quality of matches is LOW; very rural. I am not sure there is any criteria at all with whom they allow on the site. They should provide matches that are actually workable; There are truly so many bizarre characters on this site; lots of nude messages and requests for hook-ups. I wish there was a better match criteria. It's free but free does not yield quality most times. There is the ability to search nations-wide; I like the limitations that can be placed and the mail settings.

Joined this crap site and I've never got one date. Plenty of email ping pong BS... maybe that's what this site should be called. Give a phone number straight away or close, nothing but ghosting, give email, ghosting. Ask specifics on recognizeable place in pic, ghosting... why... because the site is fake and only wants your money for more fake BS. Don't pay just play if you have a dead life.

I have met some sketchy people on POF. They have no job, no money, no direction in life. The people on this site seem to be looking mostly for a fling or not what I was looking for. It's free, so therefore all the low life that have no money and no way to take you on a date get on there. Someone couldn't even come pick me up because they lost their license for a DUI. They should charge money, or screen people out better. I have heard way worse stories about people from this site.

POF was alright. I went on a few dates with members I was matched with and the matches were okay and decent. The website was very easy to use and I liked the layout. It was easy to communicate with people. But some of the members were rude. I don’t think you can stop that from happening, unless you had all members take a manners course. Would be nice to see more manners though.

The first thing that I liked about using POF was that it was free. They had quite a few profiles in my age category from different walks of life. The website was easy to maneuver around to look at the different profiles. But I would like to see more of a selection of men who were "serious" about meeting someone for a true relationship and not just for sex. Quite a few men were only interested in a physical kind of meeting and nothing on a personal level.

POF is a ripoff. It doesn't allow you to see the people that are interested in you unless you pay but they market themselves as a free dating app and I think that sucks. If I had known that I need to pay to see other peoples profiles and communicate with them I would just go to a better site that's upfront about having to pay like Match.com. I would feel better about going to POF if they told you upfront that you have to pay for some or most features instead of deceiving you right from the start. They should at least offer a free trial or an option for watching an ad to get a free view are a response.

POF.com is a very easy site and app to use. The match criteria is very accurate and can honestly figure out what I am looking for and what I am not. The quality of matches I am happy with and the people I interact with. The profile customization is also a breeze because I can tailor it to what truly describes me as a person and a mate. I have used dating apps in the past and I could tell not a lot of thought went into designing it. But POF.com knows how to make this site easy to use and match with other potential mates. There are some improvements that can be made to the site. First, users should have the opportunity for a quick chat with potential mates as to not waste each other's time. This allows for a quick interaction and not just match or talk based of a few words or pictures. A brief get to know you would for sure go a long way in getting better quality matches.

Plenty of Fish has been a reliable site and always been able to use it 24/7 when I want. It does the best they can to connect people looking for specific criteria but ultimately it is up to all users to be completely honest and update their personal info and interests often. It gets frustrating when a suitor doesn't present themselves as they advertised. Also, Plenty of Fish should find a way to filter people's dating motives a little better. It would be nice if people were required to update photos more often and to be specific on the physical criteria they were looking for.
In my experience, you get contacted more often on POF than you do on other sites which is great because we are looking to make connections. I like that I have been able to make connections from all across the country. Even if I didn't make a romantic connection I have been able to make some very good friends that I have had for several years now. I'm very thankful for that and expect to make more friends using POF in the future.

There are some really crazy people on POF. A lot of people who online date have real issues. I would not use any other website to find a mate. People who use online dating seem to have some type of issue or self-esteem problem and you won't be able to trust them because you met them online. I met some men who just wanted to hook up for sex. I have seen and heard POF used in a lot of television shows and I have also heard some bad things about it in the news. It's not safe. It's very dangerous and it was a bad experience. I met my kid's father off of POF and I wish I never did. We dated for four years. He was a hot mess and abusive. I would never use POF or any other dating website again. I would prefer to be single.

I thought it very easy to use. It's fun to go on-site and get to know people. The matching criteria is pretty good. They feature men I could relate to and the quality of the matches are fairly high. Their e-mails are send fairly regular but not overwhelmingly. They offer a good amount of info on each applicant. The personality questions are direct but easy to answer. PlentyOfFish.com is one of the few sites I still keep in contact to. But it would also be nice if they were to come down on their prices or offer a few specials. Also sometimes it is a bit hard to update photos, but this maybe just me and my computer.

Plenty of Fish is an alright dating site. People on there seem to be younger and less mature. Mostly young women who already have kids. It is easy to use and to find matches. I like that I can talk to women and find women who were interesting in my profile. I can search people and browse their profile to find common likes. I really liked how fast it is. I found multiple people who liked me on the first week. Most the women of my age already had kids (mid 20s). But everything else was great.

I used POF only briefly. I did not pay for premium features. I have not had great success with online dating. It is hard to know what people want. I think you try to represent the best version of yourself with the limited window into your world, but maybe a good match misses you because you did not frame your qualities the best way. Still, it is good to meet a variety of people whose paths you might not cross otherwise. And you can filter for certain qualities or likes that you could not know just by looking at someone. While it was educational, I prefer to connect with people in real life, to see what they are really like and so they see how I really am.

The Plenty Of Fish site isn't the best or the worst. I've been on but their app - needs major updating on location search because it's way off and many profile requirements need to be updated and mandatory like must have main profile pic of only you, must see face and actually look at profile to see if it's a fake profile before approving it.
Plenty Of Fish dating site maybe has a few specific things I like compared to other sites, likes it's free to browse and message people compared to other sites, you need to buy a membership just to browse. How are you gonna get any members that way and the different ways you can look for people is different than other dating sites I have a profile on.
But I would like to have the Meet Me feature gone or an option when making profile to choose to enable or disable it. Because when someone sends you one and you're not an upgraded member you can't see who it is even if you have in profile not to send you Meet Me, must have main profile pic of you and only you, no pets, no kids because you want to see who you're looking at and not guessing which one it is. And last, have to search distance much more accurate and stops sending you people who are out of your desired range.

My overall experience with POF.com is not bad, very easy to use, profile customization is good, the matches could be better but that's what you got from free site I supposed. I met a few people from there so it is not as bad as I thought. It is nice that you can hide your profile so I can only message people that I want to without getting tons of messages from a lot of people. There are so many sites now and sometimes some sites seem to cater to certain types of people but POF wasn't like that. I like the type of people that used it. I've been on and off POF since prior to January 2018. I had a decent experience until this year. I never had a catfish reach out to me until January. Usually I talk a little online then the guy asks to talk on the phone then if it all seems cool we meet, however, starting in January I had 2 men give me fake phone numbers that were only set up for texts. They kept trying to give me excuses and that texting is easier but I saw on the tv show Catfish that people get these fake phone numbers, so I gave the guys crap and reported them. Ever since then I check out the profile and if it has a ton of grammar and spelling errors when they claim to have a BA or even graduate degrees I ask them what country are they in cause they sure aren't here. Now I give them more crap and post the 1st sentence of my profile that I won't respond kindly to catfish.
As for people here that complain about being deleted or that it's not free get a life! You can send and respond to anyone without spending a penny. You do NOT need to spend any money giving women tokens or anything. If they want tokens tell 'em to get lost. They're losers. I've never expected or asked for anything other than they are decent, and NOT a catfish. It is FREE to talk to anyone. You want to see when someone's online or when they peeked at your profile, then you'll have to pony up, but other than that IT IS FREE.

Plenty of Fish is by far my favorite dating app. It's funny my boss uses it too for hook ups and we are always talking about our experiences. It's pretty cool that you can actually hook up online so easily in this day and age. I did not have this technology in high school but man, if I did, high school would have been so much better! I'm glad I have it now though. I like being able to really analyze who I am about to meet before actually talking to them. I've actually used other sites where it's hard to tell what the person is really like or if it is ok to talk a certain way to them. I've embarrassed myself a few times but with POF is pretty easy to get a good idea of who you are going to be talking to so you don't make a fool of yourself.
Sometimes I wish these dating apps weren't so mainstream. It's embarrassing knowing the everyone and their mom can see you on a dating app. There should be a way to lock older adults out of your segment of the website. Perhaps an age restriction of some sort. I really despise when older adults start to take things over, they already infiltrated and destroyed Facebook.

It's a website easy to use and set up. The profile questions are appropriate and there is a lot of people to choose from but I was not impressed with the date that I got. The date did not match my interest at all. The criteria selection should be better to actually get someone that has the same interest and goal. Other than that, most of the people that say that they are looking for a serious relationship are looking for 1 night stands. Do not waste your time.

POF.com was a total waste of time. The members were not there to find long term meaningful relationships. They were only there looking to get lucky and have casual sex. The app was easy to use from a mobile phone. It listed the people nearest to your location. The relationship surveys also helped me to take a deeper look at myself and those I wanted to date. However, I feel this dating app was not taken seriously by those who used it. Too many people looking solely to "hook up." The price of a full membership is not valuable.

However, there aren't many profiles with users looking for long term relationships and not a lot of members I'm physically attracted to. This site is quite possibly the worst thing I’ve ever encountered. I’m a woman, and the amount of losers on there in their 30’s with no car or job is astounding, almost every guy on there has kids and they are “their world”. If you’re not a perfect 10, most guys will not respond to your messages or they will be extremely rude, which is a red flag that all any of them are looking for is a hookup. There is a reason why all these people are on a dating site, and it’s because there is something wrong with all of them! No car, no job, no phone, no teeth, a drinking, drug, or lying problem.
None of them have any money so they can’t even meet you for dinner or coffee for a normal date... They want to come to your house so they can try and get in your pants and then go ghost! There are also a ton of fake profiles that are really scammers from Ghana or Nigeria posing as military men. Anyone can report you for any reason, even if it’s unfounded, and your profile will be deleted just because some dude didn’t like your reply. This site is complete trash, it should be called Plenty of Fools. Actually it should be shut down. Don’t waste your time!!

Completely fake. 99.9% of the profiles are fake. Bots set up to entice you to pay for a membership. You'll continue getting these blurred out messages you can't read from beautiful women. All messages are from beautiful women, ALL of them. Once you pay you so you can read the messages, they're nothing important and you no longer receive any messages except for the occasional one from management telling you to upgrade your membership. So that your profile will be more noticeable. It's set up to hook you and have you pay for a membership. That's all. Not a real dating site. Common sense tells you that a woman that is not so attractive can still get a man, and even an unattractive woman can get laid anytime she wants. So why in the world would they be on this site? He was talking about moving in, kids meeting, and the future. To me it did not seem right. He just would not listen to me so I stop talking to him and blocked him. He did not know where I live. I have boundaries when dating someone new. He would not stop. Emailing me, texting me from different numbers, POF messaging me “you **," what got me the most was "I love karma, karma is a **, I hope I gave you my STD.” I NEVER had sex with him. I literally was telling him to stop the whole time. I promise that on my children and my life. He knew I was uncomfortable.
I REPORTED this man to POF and they still allow him on his website. They don’t care about the safety of their people. I am disappointed! If people like I don’t speak up then who will?! I told POF look at the messages he sent me including about the STD. I NEVER got a response from POF and he is still on POF. I joined POF because the reviews online said it was different than the other dating websites and that the success rate was much greater than any other site. After being on there for a total of two days I was contacted by about 12 'women', all of whom were scammers from Ghana and all demanding money or phones so "we can chat and exchange pictures". This site, along with Ashley Madison and all other dating sites are being overrun with thieves now that Craigslist has shut down their personal ads.
This site is no different or better than any other site and you will be bombarded with responses from fake women from the get-go. Never ever respond to someone from outside the US and even then be extremely cautious. And never send them money, no matter what. Watch their grammar structure, a scammer will write sentences in broken English and then send you paragraphs describing their perfect relationship in absolutely perfect English. You know it's someone doing a cut and paste job. Don't be fooled. Save your money and head to the nearest bar to find a woman. At least you know they're real and you'll probably have the same success rate.

I didn't meet anyone either. It seems like there's a lot of women that are looking for a guy that's got a lot of money and they've got kids and it seems like their relationships have never worked out. They're divorced, a problem comes, and they leave you know.

Hi, I’m really don’t have time for this **, but these people are really annoying me. And do not give a damn! This is the second attempt with this company! My friends tell me I give up too easily! Well I’d like to tell them my issues with them honestly, but then they’d think I’m an idiot! Yeah... it's a win-win situation! And it's NOT free! You have to buy gifts for the ladies! You need to buy upgraded package to be able to communicate half decently! I’m 57 years old, and if a 30-yr-old looks at my profile and I try to contact her.
I’m outright told to review my matches! BITE ME! What really has me pissed though is Thursday I gave my email to everyone on my friend’s list and now my account is totally screwed, can’t log in. Was asked to just change my password and all would be good. And now have a new account I can’t get rid of and lost my upgrade package, plus now have 40 unanswered messages. The ** who answered my complaint says "if you actually have an upgrade" wants all the info. Bank statements, time, date, email, passwords. I sent an email back to this ** and told him to do his job or give me back every dime of my money! NO ANSWER YET!... and as I’m looking at trying to resolve this today! IT’S NOW RUN by Match.com.
The main reason I left Match.com several years ago is because I was chatting up a storm with this really cool girl. Who wasn’t even a girl. Some ** from Africa posing as my sweetheart using someone else’s photos! I got a suspicious after a bit when she refused a Skype video. Went online, did several searches. Took all of an hour to find pictures of her online and was a ** star! After another few hrs, was actually put on a cell call to her and she told me men always were doing that! Yeah POF... RUN! And don’t look back! I lost $1200 to Match.com and that was nothing! According to this website I joined Scammers.org. Average loss per person is $10,000.
And POF in just 2 mths was approached by one lady who was suppose to be Asian. Met at my local library... wasn’t. Not even close to her picture!... that was awkward! 2 others who made actual contact and called me were using temporary phone cards. One contact my ESET Security would not even allow them to access my computer! I’m going to try to get SOME of my money back. Pretty damn sure I will be at fault somehow!!! PLEASE pass this on to whoever you know! Maybe at one time this was a worthwhile site. NOT NO MORE! See ya! Very, very, very unhappy Canadian!

I know that many people today are tight on time and therefore looking for ways to meet others and sadly dating sites like POF are attempting to lure such clients by making outrageous promises which are never fulfilled due to misleading promotions along with uncivilized and lying members. As a man I can only provide a review of the women members but it is fair to say that this review applies equally to most of the male members as well. To begin this is a "free" site (as POF claims) but if you're a man then I would like to inform you of the pitfalls. First, women get to use POF without charge but men are now required to pay by purchasing tokens. How these tokens work still remains a mystery because nowhere does POF explain the policy they apply for tokens so your best bet is to purchase the minimum which will cost $2.25.
The majority of women on POF are either separated or divorced but it's amusing to read their profiles where they say "I'm looking for the man of my dreams..." Dreams? Who exactly did you marry then? If these women can't be devoted to their ex's then what makes a single man think that she will be devoted to you when challenging times surface in your relationship, and they will. Rather than working out problems these women will simply pack their bags and walk away on you too. Do you really want a woman who's been around the block a few times AND has a house full of kids under the age of 18? Guys, you're better off staying single than getting into a relationship with one of these charming "ladies".
Women who state in their profiles that they like to travel simply mean that they are looking for man to take her on vacations and pay for all expenses. I've been in contact with a few of these "charming" women who seem to feel they both deserve and are entitled to this. Many women will not continue conversations with you if you don't own a house, nice car and a substantial income. Some women have actually told me in person that they won't date men who earn $50, $60 or even $100 per hour. They want a man who earns a minimum of $100,000 per year because she doesn't want to work any longer and expects to enjoy her life while you continue working. There are women's profiles that clearly state that the man must have a 6 or 7 figure income before she even replies to your letter. Many women's profiles are fake. You'll see photos listed on a Toronto profile and then the same photos in a Vancouver profile. Be very cautious about this.
The majority of women NEVER reply which suggests that these are either fake profiles or the women are just playing games with no intention of ever meeting, or, they DEMAND a man who looks like he just stepped out of a fashion magazine and nothing less will be acceptable to them so don't ever expect a reply from any of them. If you do end up sending two or three letters to her then she can file a "harassment" complaint against you and you will be banned from the site. Yes, it happens frequently to the men.
POF offers a "Meet Me" feature. You receive daily notices informing you that "these women (or men if you're a woman) want to meet you. Click on their profile to see who they are". This is a huge red flag that screams "scam". POF is supposed to be free and here they inform you that a mystery member is very interested in you, BUT, if you want to know who they are you need to pay for this service. Why pay for a service that is already free to begin with? If these women are interested in me then why didn't they simply contact me themselves? POF is working hard to scam people out of money for services that don't work and are redundant. Don't get caught up in this scam. Keep your money in your pocket.
The majority of POF women members are as pleasant as an angry Pitbull. Most will never reply to your messages even if you do nothing more than pay them a compliment on their looks. The majority of women would sooner block/ban you from contacting them unless you look like you just stepped out of a fashion magazine so be aware of this right from the beginning. As a man you're nothing to them unless you are financially secure, own a car, house and can afford to travel; which means that YOU will be paying all expenses for the woman.
Remember, the women on POF are here because it's completely free for them so they have nothing to lose and therefore they will play games with you knowing there will be no consequences for them in any way. POF attracts the scum of society and that is what most of the members are. If you want to meet somebody genuine then consider joining a service where BOTH genders must pay in order to use the service.
There is a growing number of transsexual "women" appearing on POF. Some identify themselves as such but the rest keep this information from you so be aware and NEVER send any comments to them because that's a great way to get yourself banned without warning. By comments I mean "why are you posting on the women's side? This is a site for MEN wanting to meet GENUINE WOMEN". This will get you banned right away. It's sad that men need to pay but they are not allowed to view genuine women.
Many women will post photos but they are not their own photos. I've been told by quite a few women that because they want to maintain their privacy they post photos of women who resembles her. You may be looking at a nice looking girl but that is a photo she just yanked offline somewhere. For your own sake, you should make it a habit of asking each one whether she's using her real photo. Sad but true. Customer service is virtually non existent. You have to search on google to find an email or phone number and if you end up trying to contact customer service you will never get through to anybody be it by phone or email. Feel free to try if you doubt me.
POF has a list of rules which they strongly enforce (sorry, I was laughing so hard I couldn't type for a moment. I'm ok now). Here is what POF has to say about using photos in your profile, "POF has 0 tolerance for users who are rude, UPLOAD FAKE PICTURES..." It then continues with "Any user caught doing so is DELETED". Until recently POF had a policy that stated all photos of members must show their face clearly or you could report them and POF would inform them to follow the site rules or their profile would be removed; and that is how it should be. As you read this, POF has altered that policy and currently if a profile has no photos of the person but rather images of shoes, their legs, flowers etc.
You, as a paying member can no longer report this as a violation and if you do, YOUR profile will be deleted. Wow, you can't request that a woman shows her face so you can see what she looks like even though you are PAYING to use a service designed for dating. What kind of dating site encourages members to NOT post their photos and expect to meet somebody? The only word I can find that accurately describes POF is "hypocrisy".
Most of the women are extremely arrogant, disrespectful and simply lack class and decency. One important detail for men to understand is that if you send a letter to a woman who ignores you she will block/ban you from contacting her again. Yes, that does seem very inappropriate but they do it rather than replying with a simple "no thank you" response. Once a certain number of women block you for nothing more than having no interest in you, POF shuts your account down but your profile is still up! What does that mean? Your profile is visible to you but can't be seen by the women. In essence you have a "ghost" profile that is up and running but women are not able to see it and they can't contact you. Yeah, that is POF for you.
Finally I would like to stress a very important detail concerning a policy that POF has in place regarding "inappropriate" letters. I was stood up by a woman who had no courtesy to call or text me especially when she knew I was driving almost an hour to meet her. I was left sitting alone with no way of knowing what happened to her. I called her twice and she didn't answer. I then texted her to find out if she was ok but again no reply.
I drove back home and found a letter from her on POF. She simply said "I changed my mind". I replied by saying "you were inconsiderate in how you treated me. That was disgusting behavior for somebody your age". In the span of 2 hours my account was shut down and I was banned from POF for "violating site rules". Customer service emailed and informed me that I was "rude" in my reply and POF has a zero tolerance for rude comments. This clearly is a site with ambiguous rules that can go in any direction. You really don't want anything to do with this scam "dating" site. It's not worth the frustration or effort. You're better off staying home alone with a movie, then again, what exactly do you expect from a free "dating" site?

Or the last jerk sent me a text and we started communicating. Then he gives me a phone number and states we should talk or meet and that would be better than using POF. Ok text to that number with no reply, email through POF with no reply. Then I realize that the first story and the latest are very similar. Both persons are from out of the country, both are widowers. Just too many coincidences.
I remove pics from the site, change my profile and just kinda shut down the app on my phone. Lo and behold the very next day I get an email from some guy on POF with exactly the same story as the first “my friend” wants to meet you jerk and gives me the exact same email address as the first ** that pulled this ** on me. A few prospects carried on a chatting for a couple days, but when it came time to meet, they disappeared with as much as the conversations to show for it. One of them disappeared as soon as I pointed out she lived within 4 miles of me. Some of them try the damsel in distress act. They try to get you to send them money cards to save them.
It varies in context, but always a damsel in distress. To manipulate the hero gene in men. The general population should be informed of the dating scams. There's more I can reveal to anyone interested in sounding an alert to warn lonely desperate people looking for love. I'm not desperate, & my eyes are wide open. I revealed I was on to the scam, POF has blocked me. I'm not saying it's impossible to meet a real person on dating sites. It's just not likely, with no checks or balances. I have been sending him money because he claims he needed money for a rig part, iTunes cards, iPads and other monies for him and his crew. He now has asked me for $5500 to get him and crew home. I have asked the last 4 months to video chat live but he tells me the company he works for are spies and this is not allowed. I have now talked to this company and there is nobody by his name who works there, they do oil rig work in Africa and have never done work in Alaska. The telephone number he provided me is only used for texting and he sends me hang out messages from a email that no longer exist.
His internet/phone is through XO Communications and when speaking with them I was told they require no personal information, the person picks out his own number city and state that he chooses and everything is claimed to be untraceable! I'm a successful business manager and how I ever let my guard down to this level has me feeling foolish and very disappointed in myself. This scammer was great is all I can say, he totally had my heart and I was just waiting for him to come home last Friday which never happened.
This man told me after I offered to fly over and pick him up to go to Texas for pick up of his money told me no. He stated he had to have money for himself and crew in order to leave. He told me when I get paid I can send him the money and to please trust him this last time. The company he claimed to work for stated they would never ask their employees to pay for flights, hotels, food or anything that related to the project site they were working at. This was my first time to ever be on a dating website and WOW what a blow I received for doing so. Markus Frind, Vancouver, Canada own POF. He is a very aggressive person with his site. He loses touch by not listening to genuine customers advice. POF claims to be a leader yet the site is renowned for setting the trend for other dating sites to become scam sites. This is proven with POF's "Upgraded Member" accounts. You sign their compulsory terms for POF to debit $ from your credit card at the end of your POF term, regardless whether you have found a date/partner, regardless that you have deleted your account and left POF, they just keep taking your money. YET... There is nowhere on the payment pages where you can STOP the recurring payments. You give POF open license to keep taking your money. I know because I went through this experience myself on POF and have know personal friends that suffered the same experience. POF still have the same setup today. It is a ripoff.
Another problem with POF is they ask your help to maintain the site's integrity by reporting suspicious accounts and accounts with inappropriate profile pictures. I am an honest and fair guy and I had supported POF on this issue. One day I found a whole network of profiles on POF that were linked to a particular ** site. I spent 90 minutes detailing each fake profile. Two weeks later I reported a number of profiles that had trees, sunsets and multiple people in pictures as a profile's main profile picture. I reported these exactly as per their TOS. My POF account got deleted for helping them.
Moral of the story if you go on to POF do NOT report inappropriate accounts (including ones with ** pics) as you will be the one who gets banned and have your account deleted. Markus Frind and his staff have no qualms in booting the people that help their site. There are reviews all over the Net of others having similar experiences. Another issue POF has is connection. You can be in the middle with having a conversation with someone online and POF will disconnect you indiscriminately. You lose your message and the respondent thinks you just left the conversation without saying goodbye. POF are aware of this issue. It has been happening for many, many years. Yet they have not solved the issue nor warn their customers that this issue exists. This is bad customer service to say the least.
There are many other negative issues with POF. It is a site I do not recommend to friends. Their criteria and search algorithms are poor. You are matched with others who are clearly not your match, including smokers and nonsmokers, members with children either infant or adult children. This really wastes your time and is extremely frustrating. Yet POF drags their feet on these issues. There are far better free dating sites. Give POF a miss and save yourself some grief.

This is my review about Plenty of Fish. It's the worst app and site ever made. Your profile gets constantly deleted for absolutely no reason and once your profile is deleted you can never sign back up again. This is what Plenty of Fish state, "POF has 0 tolerance for users who are rude, upload fake pictures, married, use sexual language in their first email, upload nude photos or break our terms of service in any way. Any user caught doing so is deleted. You may also be deleted if you accumulate a high number of blocks. Users who are deleted may not signup to the service again."
Which is a joke just because people block you or say you're married and you just want to find some friends. You can't because your profile gets deleted. What a joke. So let's say I didn't like someone so ill get a bunch of my friends and block them and then their profile will get deleted. What a load of crap and without even doing a google search for their customer service address. They don't even have it displayed on their site and even if you send them a email you won't even get a reply back and also girls can send any picture they like but when it comes to guys they expect us to upgrade just to send pictures sexist ** so just because I don't have a ** between my legs I need to upgrade pfft.

I am a newly single person getting back into the dating world. Male. I consider myself a pretty honest person. And lonely and trying to use good judgment and integrity as I'm starting to date again. A Friend of mine suggested some other sites but this one popped up as a possibility. Without joining it I started checking out on the free site and lot of people that I might consider dating from my perspective as a newbie again popped up. Of course I couldn't contact them. A friend told me just in general, "You should join and try it out". I have not looked at this Consumers Affairs site beforehand. Wish I had. After I joined within the first day or two I was of course contacted by more than three women. They were said to be my age with one picture. Much younger looking than the age presented. Of course I was intrigued. Quickly realize that these were not real people at all.
After the first day I got that the women who were real and what their sites look like probably wouldn't be a match for me for one reason or another. And the ones that were, were extremely skeptical or untrusting. After reading this ConsumerAffairs I now know why. Lot of these people here on this form are ladies talking of their experiences mostly negative not many of men. I talk to my friend about this site and he said that he had his site passwords stolen and somebody used it in a very scandalous way and his name was soiled on this site. He tried getting his money back and that they would take no responsibility for scams which is BS. The people were unwilling to talk to him. They said, "The money is gone it's ours now." Blah, blah, blah. I after a day wanted to cancel and of course they told me no. The money is theirs.
Since then I took an better notice of the people that might contact me. You can definitely tell the real from the fake and I question whether the webmaster is possibly throwing proverbial bones at me to keep me interested. The people that I would consider are absolutely not real in my view. I told him I want to cancel after the two month. That I unfortunately agreed to. I'm going to call my bank and make sure this card for this service is not used again but I don't know if that's going to make a difference.
I've heard of such sites years ago who told you if somebody had been logged onto this site or how long it's been since they last use the site. You really have no idea how where these people are, how long ago these people were on the site and anybody could use their name and pictures and put down warm-and-fuzzy words to make people interested. Hence I would imagine the webmaster but who would know. Only POF would know. I'm still kind of looking but it with an extreme amount disbelief and probably going to turn it off soon since it's only been a couple days. I highly at this point recommend that whoever looks at this site absolutely should not join.

My first attempt with POF. The first experience my Daughter in law created me a profile last Memorial day weekend for me and the response was ridiculous. Within 20 minutes I had 100 guys messaging and wanting to meet me. I have been out of the dating game for about 9 years and this was a bit overwhelming. It only got worse to the point I had to turn my notification off. I know the goal is to interact with people for possible dating or relationship, but when you have 400 men in one weekend contacting you, it was just too much. When I did take the time to look thru the candidates the first one I felt comfortable enough to exchange numbers, during our first convo within a few minutes he asked me "did you get my pictures?" I asked what pics and he said, "I just sent you some." I checked my phone and it was 3 pics of his penis!!! I immediately blocked his number and deleted my account!! I will stick to being single till God sends my husband.

Over the last 2.5 days, Markus, the racist, woman hating creator of this horrific scam of a site, has kicked me off the site for no reason. I have been cursed at by men, I've been harassed by men, I've received filthy messages from me. I've reported this abuse to Markus and the response is the kick ME from the site. My profile lasts maybe a day and then I receive a message saying "user unknown", "password unknown." So I recreate my account. The site administrator is in no way concerned with protecting his female users. There are abusive, women beaters on the site. There are married men on the site. Each time a woman reports something like this to Markus, he adds a new criteria for men to check on their profiles thus protecting their married statuses. This site needs to be taken down. Too many women are being abused and scammed. Please help us.

This dating site is extremely sexist. I did not violate any standards. I had quite a few horrible and harassing messages from men. My profile was deleted because a man got mad that I didn't want to go out with him and reported it as a scam profile. I had done absolutely nothing wrong. My profile had nothing more than only pictures of my face. There was no inappropriate content or messages. Yet men post nude pictures on their profile and that's fine with this sham of a dating site. They are promoting the harassment and abuse of women on this site. And if a woman doesn't want to date a man or simply doesn't reply to his messages she is deleted. The idiot who reported my profile said it had to be fake because women from WV don't have teeth. POF agreed with him and deleted my profile. Extremely sexist. That's called discrimination. A class action lawsuit needs to be filed.

Upon placing on my profile to please not to contact me with hate messages concerning any color my account was removed and POF will not respond as to why I can not create or keep a account. I have screenshots of all of the hurtful remarks from others and find it extremely unfair that even when I was NOT the person creating a major problem I was removed from the site. It is my opinion now that it is POF's intentions to promote this type of horrible behavior towards others and kick off anyone who does not agree with their practices.

The site POF has joined a third party vendor 844-221-2543. This is where the scam is happening. Like everyone else, I had a profile for months. While on the account it logged me out and when I attempted to log back in it's saying invalid username and password. I tried reset the password but the email was not coming to me. I opened a new Gmail and opened a new account. I had it for 1 week and it did the same. Logged me out and deleted my account. I called the 844 number at the top to their tech/billing department in India. It's saying MY network has been compromised and in order for them to fix it I need to pay them $149.99. I explained this is the only site I'm having this issue with and I'm not the only one having this issue based off the online complaints.
For my second account I was only logging in from my phone and I was only phone when it logged me out and deleted my account. So it seems POF is the one who has been hacked and their customers info are in jeopardy. So when you call this 3rd party company they will attempt to get remote access to your PC where they will show you the word HACKED first it my email, that was hacked and I told them I just open the gmail account they said oh it must be my network that was hacked. I said I haven't used in on my PC yet only my phone. They wanted to give them remote access to my PC a card for 149.99 in order for them to fix the HACKED problem. POF clearly don't care about the customers and are trying to rob them.

I had a very decent account with POF and wrote polite messages. Yet for some reason, the account was suddenly deleted, twice. No reason, no warning. You just cannot log in anymore, your email no longer exists in the system. You cannot contact anyone, the help email on their site does not answer. Many users online complain about the same. The one clue I had was my request for a suspicious scammer to post a picture with a specific object just to see if his pictures really belong to him. I suspect the site is hacked, desired profiles are identified and then stolen. The user is then displaced from the account. POF had been acquired by Match.com but nobody seems to be responsible for the site now. People should be warned and the company investigated.

And it was the best decision of my life. After being in a rough marriage for so many years, this was such a welcomed change. Things blossomed fast. We moved in together for a year and just got married this past April. My children adore him and he feels the same about them. This was the best thing that could of happened to me. Compared to any number of other dating sites -- such as OKCupid (where I met a wonderful woman I am now deeply committed to) or Match -- PoF seems to scrape the bottom of the barrel, for whatever reason. It was dismal. Okay, fine. Then I cancelled my account, or I thought I had. Then, two months later, PoF charged me again. I called them to request a refund, but they have a "policy" that says that when they steal your money, it's theirs, gotcha! Okay, I understand: everybody has to make a living, even pickpockets. So I canceled AGAIN, this time telephoning PayPal to make sure all the i's were dotted and such... hopefully these petty crooks are out of my life forever. My advice: stay far away from these bottom-feeders. And happy dating-- elsewhere.

In Sept. my bank statement revealed a withdrawal in the amount of 38.50 at which time I called a second time repeating my expressed dissatisfaction and requested a refund along with an assured cancellation from my account. Then Friday the 13th of October they did it again. I just got off the phone with their customer service who indicated there was no record of me ever calling that she would delete my profile; which the first 2 emails never said anything about and that I'd get my refund within 1 to 10 business days. I think it is just the online dating culture period. I have tried Match, Christian Dating for Free, Christian Cafe and POF. They all suck because of these general reasons. Only people with loser personalities (superficial, slobby, stupid, fake, creepy, criminal and insecure) tend to hang out online. It makes perfect sense... They know they can hide behind a computer. If any real person met them in real life they would be rejected immediately. My experiences have been real common with most other men's. Out of the 5 I used I batted .500 I guess. One date from Match and one from POF. The one from POF was alright. One from POF was a nut bag. Most other sites were catfish. The thing you could never get used to was the messages of (don't contact me unless you're a certain age, this, that, whatever.)
I even saw a piece of garbage in my area Gadsden, AL named (Hollen) who wrote this on her profile. Funny thing was, I saw her on twitter and thought hey- that girl is interesting. Then saw her again on POF. Boy, what a shock to find out she was such a loser. Made me glad I had unfollowed her months before. Of course, you get those that are just looking for self-esteem. You know the deal guys... You send them a message then hey they respond. You talk for awhile then when it comes time to suggest a meeting or e-mail exchange... "Ghosted." Of course they are the same ones that are usually overweight. Let me say this, I give those types women a chance... I don't want to be superficial trash like so many on online dating but this is standard behavior for obese women who are just there to have a guy talk to them, even if you give them a chance and agree to a meeting. All the sudden whammo... No more messages.
Had a few instances of sending messages and women first looking at my profile and then deleting my messages without even reading them. Complete white trash behavior!!! I would never dream of doing that to anyone. I did enjoy posting a comment about how Halloween was not here yet you can take your mask off. She did read that and did not get the humor as she wrote in response Huh! Dumb, Dumb! Then POF lies to you immediately every day by saying you have a "mutual match" "who is interested in meeting you." Of course you send a message only to find that they really are not as they don't reply or have not logged on for months. What CRAP!
I had a two-month subscription paid that I was smart enough not to renew (payers be careful). They have automatic renewal so go into your account settings and TURN IT OFF or you will be charged past the time you delete your account. I had a plan to just keep a profile up and attend events or host them in my area of Gadsden or Birmingham. I took an hour or two just to review all profiles in these locations. I realized I would not ever meet anything but trash if I met these people in person and made the glorious and triumphant decision to just DELETE everything and get on with my life. Bye losers... And thanks for the memories!

Let me start by saying this company is a scam. I only gave 1 star because I had to. Many years ago when I was in this site everyone that I meet only wanted one thing and the one person that seemed genuine ended up being a fraud himself. Maybe it was pure bad luck on my part but a friend of mine was also on POF and was swindled out of $10,000. Now 10 years later my brother started using this site still claiming they are free. While he was on their site something popped up saying buy chips to put your message at the top so he bought $2 of chips and they took the $2 from his account.
When my brother wrote the company (Markus) I do believe and said he wanted them to be aware that he has had several woman pretend to be someone and then these woman try to get money from him. He went on to say anytime someone would give him her phone number it would automatically block them from speaking to each other and that he will not use the site anymore. That day they pulled $40 from his bank account. I was with him the whole time and he never authorized this.
What kind of company claims they are free then charges for fake upgrades and then continue to take money whenever they want. I understand they have to make money to keep the site up but why be so dishonest about it. It has been proven to me that this site is a gateway for people to pretend to be someone they are not and predators (from my experience) from other countries to scam naive victims that are looking for love. If you do not believe me then go ahead and give it a try. I hope you don't fall victim to any on these horrible people not to mention the dishonesty of the company itself.

POF.com seemed easy to use and I enjoyed meeting up with most people that I chatted with. I had good and bad experiences but all in all pretty good for what the application is. I really like that I can browse and search people that are in my same level of matching. They paired me up with some really great pairs and they really give it all they can to find someone I will connect with. However, I dislike how people were using this app to scam. Seemed a little like a time waster. It was hard to narrow the searches down when random fake people would pop up and I would have to pass them up.

I closed my account with POF dating site today because the men that did contact me wanted naked pictures of me (I am 55 years old) or they sent naked pictures of themselves (just gross!) and the ones that wanted to meet up were too tight to spring for a cup of coffee (geeez). One of the guys on my available list was gay (I am a straight women). 2 just wanted to cry over their past women (poor babies) and I came across 3 profiles of men that I already knew that happen to be jobless and homeless and just looking for someone to help them out (lied on profile) and some of the men just like shopping through the pictures and are too lazy to have a relationship with anyone other than themselves... I had over 5 hundred members that wanted to meet me and I only received 12 messages in 5 years, so what I am trying to say is that this date site is worthless if you are looking for a relationship.

So many fake profiles and liars, cheaters who are married that if you find one good man, he is probably in another town. This is a horrible site - it scared the crap out of me.

POF is an untrustworthy site. Every male that gives this company a dime of their money is being scammed. Over 70 percent of the accounts on there are fake, bots or someone posing to be a woman. Also, watch out for scammers such as the ones that send you random links to click on, by using temptation. Am I wrong? No! I literally proved it! I exposed over 100 accounts on there; all of which were fake accounts or a males posing to be a woman. The bots are the ones that delete your message without even reading it.
The reason that this site uses bots is because they want to pose as if they are popular, but in reality they aren't, so they have to create 100s and 100s of fake accounts to convince tempting males to sign up. Sure, I found dates on there, but any woman above a 7 is most likely not who they claim to be. I have a firm belief that POF is actually creating bot accounts and even using “real” people to message back. Go find another dating site and don’t ever give a penny to these frauds. The upgrade version on POF is a waste of money unless you want to pay 50 bucks to see if he or she read your message.

POF.com is free and easy to use at least and profile customization is pretty good, and no restrictions (you can view all photos, profiles, etc... can message anyone and receive messages from anyone). No matching algorithm that I can see (you literally match with everyone in my experience) which results in bad matches, nonresponsive members, or just spam bots (not real applicants that attempt to grab your email or number to spam with).

Most were looking for hookups not serious relationships. I recall a time when the site used to have better selections, and the profiles were set up better. If I had to pick one thing I liked, it'd be how easy it is to get in contact with another member. There is a message button directly under the member's picture that you push to be taken directly to the message center and they offer smiles, winks and things in exchange of writing a message.

All dating sites should have it be mandatory for not only background checks but to have pictures be part of the process and make sure it's really that person. Also be free for everything and have more options for getting to know someone like chat rooms live and with option to video chat so you know it's really the person it's suppose to be. Also have two types of categories like a speed date/blind date kind of thing, have the option to meet up if wanted and with options to receive ice breaker gifts like gift cards or flowers and chocolates or even have the option of secret admirer and instead of having the option like on the profile page how some sites have the choices single, married but looking, or do you care. It instantly pisses me and most women off when we see that as a option and then the jerk who checks that box it's so obvious that the jerk is with someone and should not be looking while still with that person.
It's messed up and everyone knows it like it or not. I think it would be easier for someone to find a date that has more in common with that person if they did more getting to know your types type of quizzes and the more people that take the time to fill out their profiles the better chances in getting the right match! But I didn't stay on the site that long because I was going through a family crisis so I didn't have the time or will power to even want to date anyone plus previous date sites I had tried was nothing but jerks and so it made me not want to anymore.

POF.com was easy to use and set up plus there are a lot of people on it and in my local area. I felt I got a lot of responses to my profile and I also liked that I did not have to pay to use the app or to send messages. But there were so many people overseas messaging and no way to block people from out of the country. It was also hard to go through messages on the site to find the ones that were local and interesting. The experience was OK but it seemed there were not too many people looking for a long term relationship, more for a hookup or casual dating. There was also a bit of a lack of people my age, many seemed to be way younger or way older. Not very successful.

POF.com was easy to use and set up. I like meeting new and different people that I would not normally meet in real life. The matches were all okay and it was pretty good. It’s cool and I like the website.

I had tried to use the app and there were several men that had chatted with me. The one I am complaining about is Phillip **. His pictures show a man from the states and he sounds Nigerian. Somehow he has gotten several of my private information for my bank, my SSI number, which I am trying to get a new number so he cannot charge anything to my name. The people on POF.com should be responsible for screening applicants to make sure they are not scammers!!! How can people be notified that this man is a scammer?? How do I get an order number??

I like that there was no cost with POF.com and that communication was anonymous and private until you felt comfortable providing the match with your personal information. The profile was easy to create and uploading photos was very easy to do. Also, it was easy to use, but I had to be very cautious when meeting someone in person. Due to this site being free, there were many creepy guys trying to match up so it may be better to screen people better to ensure all users have a safe experience.

POF.com was similar to other apps, nothing special. It is easy to use but not the best quality of matches in my area so I don’t use it often. If there was more people in my area or matches in my categories or ones that I was interested in, I would definitely use it more often.

I decided to open an online dating account after two of my friends recommended it! I was hesitant for a while, but after moving across the country I decided to have the courage to do it. I had my account for a few months and messaged for a while. Yes... Not all messages are pleasant or ideal, but neither in life all the time. Should you decide to open an account, be clear with what you want and your standards.
I went on a few dates, and in January 2016 a guy messaged me. The message made me laugh, so we messaged a little and exchanged numbers. The first date was o.k., glad we went on a couple more dates. It was not love at first sight. :) But we are so in love now! And it is the man I plan on growing old with. We have had a fantastic year living together and I am looking forward to a loving fun filled life with my man. I did not sign up with this in mind, but even if you sign up with wanting to meet the man of your dreams - and it does not happen - at least you will have some good stories to tell. ;) Follow your heart, trust yourself, and live life. Thanks POF!

My experience with POF.com was average but it turned out well. I'm happy that my friend signed me up for it because I met my wife and we now have kids. I liked that POF was free for everyone to use and we were able to choose age, gender, color, etc. There were also a lot of people on the site. It seems to be popular but I dislike that most people there were not looking for serious relationships. Also I would like for the people that run POF to stop banning people for copy and pasting greeting messages.

The ease-of-use of POF.com was not difficult at all. My profile was really simple to make. I like that they had a variety of different guys to choose from but very few were from around my area and the guys that I were matched with lived far away. And most of the messages I got were only about sex and the personal messages are received from guys that already had girlfriends but wanted someone on the side. That is not what I am looking for on my profile. I specifically said relationship. The age differences in most of them were not what I was looking for too. I don't think I would find a long-term relationship on this site. I found it very entertaining though that there was some really nice and respectful guys that I would consider meeting in a public place. I exchanged numbers and messages with them but I lost contact with them after a few months. I didn't actually meet anyone in person off of Plenty of Fish.
There are quite a few really creepy people on this site that really disturbed me. This is why I uninstalled the app. Plenty of Fish should change the criteria that match up each person including the locations to be more specific and the profile settings for each person to make it easier to find a true match. There should be specific questions to weed out the people that are there just for sex and not be able to message someone that is looking for a relationship. And they should also change having to pay for certain uses of the app I didn't enjoy not being able to view a profile without having to pay first.

I liked the chemistry match and ability to find people around me. I also like the profile set up which allows the most elaborate description so far compared to other dating apps and to also look up events happening around, meet up for a date and hook up at the bar. However, too many fake people are on POF. Cat fishing on the rise. I also get logged out immediately after sign up so I am unable to ever use as I need to always sign up every day.

It was easy to see people but other than that it wasn't much fun. I disliked the fact that more than most of the people on there were just wanting sex instead of actually getting to know people. I wanted more than just sex so it wasn't a good experience for me and I wasn't pleased with it.

POF.com was very easy to use. Match criteria wasn't overall too extensive. I feel like they just went by 5 different things but I feel like this site was all about how people judged your looks. I liked how I always had so many messages I could never get to them all. I definitely got a lot of attention. But it wasn't from respectable matches. Instead, it was from unattractive people or drug addicts. I wish there was a way to find more respectable people on there. I feel like most people on there just wanted a hookup including drug hookups and nothing serious.

POF.com was good mostly and it was super easy to navigate plus it was free to join. Other membership sites want you to pay for at least too expensive. Also had good interaction with other members, met really nice people and made lifelong friends and got married to someone I met on there. However, I would change that there was better security because I had to block people all the time that trolled my page or just wanted to talk about sexual things. If I remember right there were a lot of ads but that didn’t bother me that much.

I found it difficult to meet people around me. I also didn't like that I had to pay for so many features. It's like Zoosk, with a different name. I would update website, lower cost, or make it worth the price. I also couldn't see who was looking at my profile... It seemed shady. I also thought fee was too much. I really didn't like POF.com. I would make it possible to read and write to at least a few people free of charge. I would allow to pay monthly, add free messages and make the website look less childish.

I would like to start a class action lawsuit against POF for online scam. They offer paid membership and no online support. I had someone steal my paid account and POF will only respond to a paid account if you send it from that profile. How is that possible if your account is stolen. They will not offer refunds so how is this a legitimate business if you cannot get a hold of the company? I also notice it's a Canadian company so maybe this is being funded by terrorist organization?! Maybe along with class action lawsuit it should be reported to US Government as a terrorist organization laundering funds through Canada!
