I've been w/ IJL for over a year now. Initially I didn't have much faith in this service, I thought they would set me up w/ whoever they find available. But I was wrong. They take their time to understand what you want and they truly try to match you with the best possible candidate. Sometimes few weeks go by before they call me with a match which tells me they've been looking around. ** is my current match maker after I had a date that went sideways. She spend a long time reassessing my needs and has been setting me up w/ quality matches since. Actually I went out last night on another first date, loved the venue ** picked and had so much fun w/ him! I'm looking forward to a second date. =)

My past experience with IJL has been horrible but because of ** it has gotten better. ** is a lovely person to work with and I can make her laugh. She is trying really hard to help me find a date but it looks like he isn't out there. She has tried harder than any of the MANY, MANY other people who work for IJL did. She gets back in touch with me if I call or send her an email where the past employees didn't. I am very satisfied with ** and hope I don't have to work with anyone else. She seems to care about me where the past people who worked for IJL that were suppose to be helping me didn't care who I was. They made it seem like I was a bother and not a customer. I wish IJL would get more employees who care like she does.

The initial process has been a great experience this far. ** has made me feel welcome and our initial conversations show me that he was truly listening and interested in finding a good match for me. The event call with ** was pleasant as well. She provided helpful insights for the first date and had a general upbeat attitude. I look forward to the process.

So far been a member for just on a month, and only had 1 date so far. The date was civil and the girl they set me up with had potential, but she didn't seem very interested in going past the first date. This was especially hard for me, as I just lost my wife in March 2015 and I was hoping to rebuild my life with someone new. The quality of matches have NOT even come close to what was described and from the MANY reviews on Yelp, it looks like I am not the only one who was scammed.

It's Just Lunch advertises an exclusive, private, and individualized dating service for busy professionals. They take thousands of dollars and promise matches exclusively picked just for you. Instead they ignore your wishes and set you up with who they have available even though they don't meet any of your expectations. IJL then says that the process is fluid and they are fine tuning it for you after each date. When your contract is 10 months or 7 dates for $4,000 then each date should match what I am looking for. That would be individualized match making just for you! They mislead and have not come through with their promises of well matched dates. This is fraudulent in my book.

I paid for my daughter a membership for 6 months. I wish I would have believed the reviews. I actually spoke with whom I will call the sales lady and she did convince me that the service was not as the negative reviews stated. Before paying the sales lady had all the time available to talk to me and my daughter. Once they got my $2800 the communication dropped off quick. For $2800 my daughter has had 1 date in over 2 months. My daughter is a very talented and beautiful woman so if they are having trouble getting dates for her I can't imagine how it may be for some. They actually told her before they got my money they had 5 or 6 people ready for her to be matched with. Please save your money. The only positive is the 1 date she has had is that it is convenient that they set up the date. Just do not believe them that they keep communicating. They definitely do not. Very regretful I paid $2800 for this.

I signed up for It's Just Lunch services a year ago with a very optimistic attitude. My experience begin with the first date canceling and IJL did not set up another date until over a month later after I contacted several people within the company and attempted to cancel. My contract stated I would be set up on 10 dates within that year and was only set up with 7. I would not be upset if even one of those dates had the potential of blossoming into something. After each date you are each asked to provide feedback. I provided feedback and what I was looking for and every time, I was set up with the same type of guy that I shared no common interests. It was also stated in my contract that I would have a session with a dating coach 6 months into my membership. A coach did not contact me until 2 weeks before my membership ended. I have reached out to IJL to address these concerns with no response back.

I had a session with ** last week and it was very informative and helpful. ** gave a pretty good insight on what to expect. All my questions were answered and I felt very comfortable. Overall, it was a great conversation and the information provided was very helpful to me. Thanks a bunch **..

My coaching session with ** was very productive and enlightening. She confirmed what I felt went right in each of my dates. But she also offered some very useful insight into areas I could improve upon to make my next dates better. The coaching session was useful and a great way to take a step back and look at where I've been, where I am and where I'm going!

My conversation with ** was very cordial and productive. We were able to review several issues and questions I had dealing with my matches and with IJL in general. I found the information she provided regarding the feedback my matches provided helpful and hopefully will provide me with a framework to be more appealing to women I go on dates with in the future. I am slightly frustrated that this session came after 9 of my 10 matches and I have very little opportunity to apply the information I am being provided with. And it is obviously the placement of this service is also a marketing ploy to attempt to extend my membership.

I can honestly say my experience with IJL has far exceeded any expectation I had. ** was very patient with me as I had an unexpected career transition/change which caused me to have to suspend my membership until I got back on my feet. When I did activate again, ** introduced me to someone that I had become a very special person in my life and may be for many years. I feel quite indebted to her for her patience, her kindness and her expertise as she hit a home run for me. Whatever they are paying her....it is not enough. Thank you for having someone as special as her in your employ.

I have been a member of IJL for a couple of years. I've enjoyed many dates, some of whom I have seen for a second or third date. The personal service is helpful, as I know the matches will have characteristics that I appreciate. Preferred over online dating.

After 22 months my 12 month contract finally ended. The pain is over. This a company that has no idea how to treat, work with, or offer any type of competent customer service. They promise a great experience yet they have no idea on how to deliver this. I went through 6 different dating directors and only the first took the time to get to know me. How could the following 5 even know how to match me? After that, the dates I was matched up with met none of my criteria. What was I told, it was their decision who I went out with. Ask yourself, why would I pay someone to fix me up if they are not going to respect my desires for the type of person I want to meet. My wish list meant nothing. I would strongly suggest a better way to spend this money is to make a worthwhile donation to a good charity. That way you will feel good about what you have done and someone will get benefit.

Coaching someone who has dated for years since ending her 22 year marriage is not an easy task. I found ** sophisticated and respectful while at the same time offering interesting feedback and ideas. While any first meeting with a person is a dance and everyone puts their best foot forward, with maturity most people realize that being anything other than oneself is simply a waste of time... and a form of disrespect for self and others. THE GOOD NEWS is that I was finally turned over to **, and he was very professional and experienced, and really was looking out for my success in dating my "type" of woman! You should be pleased with **, and I would recommend you train some of your inexperienced people!!

All staff members are very amicable and hardworking to find the correct match. Of course it takes some try and error to fine-tune the right person. I am still waiting to meet my first "match" but good things happen to people who are patient. :-)

My experience with IJL has been fairly good so far. I have been on one date so far and it was pretty good. She was a very nice and lovely person, although I don't know if we had too many things in common with one another. Our hobbies were quite different and I believe our outlooks on life don't quite align with one another.

In this digital age it's actually a bit refreshing to be able to interact with a team who's looking out for you. The IJL team made me feel very welcomed from the moment we began communicating. The process was a little slow to get started, they'll forewarn you that your first few matches might not be on target, but they are necessary to help them learn about what you like and don't like. I think that it took me 4 - 5 dates before I found the right person. My GF however, only required 2. We've been together ever since!

Very poor about keep you informed w/ what's going on. They told me that they would call every other week, never followed through. I feel that they are a bit out of touch with the mid west. I don't think I would recommend them to someone else!! Really feel the service is overpriced for what you get.

I'm so surprised to see any glowing reviews from IJL. I've been on 9 dates and every date, spoke ill of them. Every date. Unprofessional people, misleading staff (aka they promise you what you want but once they have your cake then they say you misunderstood), too much travel (traveling 2 hours for a date is ok by IJL standards). I could go on and on. Do not use this service.

We're going to start off with 4 stars, I am still getting used to things. However I like the way things have started. The matching seems to be very thoughtful and professional. The process is working out well. I don't feel bothered nor neglected and that's ideal. I'm ready for ** to find me a great match.

It has been 1 yr and 6 months with 4 dates. The first one was 3 hrs away and the 3rd was way out of my age range (60 plus a cane). The dating coordinator keeps changing. Months without contact (find out the coordinator left and they could not find replacement), stood up by dating coordinator for the face to face, which finally occurred about 6 months into this mess, mislead and very disorganized. I sent my tracking log of issues and asked to speak to someone in charge. My request was always declined. I contacted the corporate office with no calls back. It is franchised and corp. doesn't do anything. My complaints were never resolved. For the amount of money spent, I would expect much better customer service! IJL has my numerous complaints in writing already and in my file.

Date on 3/8/15 with **. Going into this date, I was frustrated and skeptical because of the turnover of 3 dating consultants in less than 30 days with no one taking the time to talk to me to get to me but rather "read the notes in my file." Everyone was getting promoted to the new IJL program which to me was confusing since they were batting 0% with my matchups to date. Secondly I was frustrated after experiencing a total mismatched date that was a total bust with a 60 mile drive to meet half way and then to find out the ONLY thing we had in common was that we liked dogs.

I really enjoyed my session with ** . I found her engaging and supportive! She was quite helpful in tackling a difficult topic (divorce) and how to handle it should it come up in a future date.

Terrible and expensive service! They sell you heaven but don't deliver anything! My sales person was **. My 4 dates did not meet my criteria which were only 2 - age range and health/active - and also, to really want to be in a relationship! They only set you on dates to burn through your contract. I mean, they even set me on date with people in another state, almost 300 miles away! I travel for work and for sure do not have time to travel to go on a date "just to see what happens"!

The company promised at least two dates per month with quality men, as defined by successful in business, established, non-criminal men with similar interests and goals as mine. I have yet to go on a date with anyone to meet even 50% of that criteria. The response to my concerns is always that they are trying to find the right match and they have someone else in mind. The girls that they have working at the office in Milwaukee are immature and inexperienced. Unethical conduct to sell this product when the company clearly has far less male clients than female. Yet the employees refuse to admit that they cannot deliver the promised service and return the thousands of dollars I spent, which regrettably was not spent on saving for my kids' future. I explained my vulnerability when I signed up, only to be taken advantage of and lied to once again.

I can and will be the first to complain about service, but I also the first to want to recognize and compliment outstanding service. Using online dating sites just don't measure up to IJL. I have had the best IJL experience with Debbie, my Dating Director for New Orleans. Debbie consistently exceeds my expectations for the highest quality (& most fun) matches & dates. She really took the time to understand, in detail, what I was looking for and she has consistently come through for me with the most appropriate dates. One date in particular resulted in a long term relationship. I have recommended IJL to many of my single friends.

I have just been on my fourth date arranged by It's Just Lunch! and was introduced to a most wonderful match. The dating directors have used my feedback from previous dates to refine their search and are getting ever closer to my ideal. I have had a contract with IJL for almost 1 year. I have had 3 dates (not good matches). It is mandatory you do a face-to-face with your dating coach so they can make sure you are who you claim to be. My dating coach was a no show the her times. The turn over rate at this company is extremely high as I am now on my fourth dating manager. It seems they are picking warm bodies for me to go on dates with rather than looking at how we, the people they serve, are asking for in whom we date. Of the dates I have been on, none of them had good experiences with IJL. They have made dating horrible. I do not recommend this company.

I joined IJL since July 2013, ever since then, I have worked with a few dating directors here there, but I never felt I was being taken seriously until I met Kim ** recently. Kim is someone I feel like I can be open and honest with what I am looking for. She is funny, witty and passionate, most importantly, she cares very much about her clients. What separates her from the norm is that not only does she take her time to listen to me, but also she gives me some really good suggestions about what I need to focus on the most.

Kim has been a great matchmaker so far. She has listened to my likes and dislikes. She has set up a couple of great dates with some nice guys. (None have lead to anything long term yet, but I am sure she will find a great guy for me shortly.) She works hard with each match she has showed me.
