On 10/25/2017 my entire paycheck was stolen from my account by hackers. I had my ATM in my possession the entire time but somehow RUSHCARD's security against hackers is not strong enough and my money was stolen. Upon trying to file my dispute of the charges on my account, I must note that it was the most horrible experience to be transferred to a recorded line when dealing with such a sensitive issue. RushCard uses an offshore customer contact center located in the Philippines and the customer service agents are like robots. I tried to explain my situation and there was no emotional support toward the fact that RUSHCARD allowed some hackers to take my money. I have been a customer since 2013 and today I must state I am thoroughly DISAPPOINTED and will be closing my account once my money is returned.
To this day I have tried to resolve this issue with regards to my stolen funds. I was on the phone with the robots this morning for 45 minutes explaining to them that I need my money to pay bills and how important it was to get this resolved. The only information that I was provided was that after the conclusion of the investigation my funds could be credited backed to my account on or before November 13th. I don't think I can tell my creditors this and I am certain that it will not help my credit still I am late to be. Of all the cards that are out there I chose RUSHCARD to help me save and and allow quick access to my money but this is relationship will come to an end and I will not ever refer anyone to RUSHCARD. I am the victim here but I have been treated like the culprit. Sad part about this situation is I was charged a card replacement fee of $4.95 and the monthly fee of $5.95 so I am really upset because it feels like they are robbing me too.
I have also racked up over 100.00 in late fees on credit card bills that were due on the November 1st. I am really not happy with RUSHCARD and I advise people to stay away and maybe go with a traditional bank card that would give you back your funds sooner if this ever happens to you. I am learning it happens very frequently to most many consumers.

I’ve been with Rushcard for a while and get daily updates from them. It helps me to know what I actually have as far as available funds and how to go about the rest of my week or a day, as opposed to just possibly trying to guess and think what I might actually have. With my direct deposit, my money gets deposited early. Sometimes it goes on a day and a couple of times, it used to go on two days early. That helps if I go on trips. Most people go on trips on Thursdays or Fridays and I don’t want to wait until Friday and hope my money goes on there.
I use Rushcard to pay most of my bills. If I wanted to add money, I actually go to a currency exchange, for the most part, but I usually get money direct deposited on there. The people at Rushcard have been very friendly and helpful. They told me one time, before I even realized it, that there were some fraudulent and questionable activities on my account so they stopped my card before I even knew that it happened. I also have a couple of kids that get Rushcard so if I wanted to send them money, it’s easier to transfer money to them.

I’ve had Rushcard for over 10 years and it’s great. I use it to pay bills and make online purchases. It’s convenient and very easy to do direct deposit. Also, the customer service reps were fine when I spoke with them.

I’ve been using RushCard some years now. My deposit should’ve posted last night and it still hasn’t. It’s impossible to get someone on the line to see what’s going on. Thinking about dropping y’all after this! I’m very upset! I have bills to pay this morning.

We post deposits as soon as we receive them from our depository bank. Once we receive the funds on our end, they are posted to the appropriate accounts. I've had Rushcard for quite a few years and I keep it to handle my internet purchases and use five to eight times a month to pay things online. I donate to Shriners and to St. Jude's and it’s taken out monthly. I don't maintain a large balance with it. I use it mainly for safety. The benefit is I haven’t been hacked. I've got bank accounts elsewhere and I have a lot more money in them but I do very few transactions. I pay cash for everything that’s why I don’t use credit cards.
I normally reload my RushCard at Walmart. RushCard is fine and I'm happy with it. It's pretty simple and it meets my needs. If I was one of these people that use my debit card all the time, then I'd start complaining about paying fees. I don't pay fees to my bank to use my debit card. However, their customer service is terrible. I've called up before and it takes so much time to get through them. But I don't have a high demand for customer service so they work fine for me. I've told a lot of people to use RushCard but it only serves a certain purpose.

I'm very disappointed in my RushCard experience and will more than likely be changing to another Debit card. After having my account hacked and not receiving my money on the expected date, I'm having a very hard time setting up my account. After being told that the pnone number I was using wasn't my primary number and that I should use my email address, well now, I'm not receiving the proper info in my email. This 8 year experience has turned into a nightmare.

I requested for a new card which I didnt get because they have my wrong address. I dont have an online acct to change my address and I cant set up one without my card info which is stupid. All my money on my card I have direct deposit from my job. Each check now I have to wait 24-48 after I fax my identity then wait another 5-10 days for a new card or I have to pay 30 dollars to get it expedited to a duplicate address.
I dont understand why I have to go through all this when I do online orders I use my correct address and everything go through. I never used the address that you guys have on file, so now I have to go out my way ask people if I can borrow money to fax this info for something I didnt not do. It's an error on your end and when I fax this info to get my card and y'all see the address is incorrect do not apologize because I will be leaving this company after 3 years. The agents are rude and the supervisor is as well. Bad service and I will spread the word to others

Hi, RushCard has been very useful. I use it all the time. Having some of my paycheck post 2 days early makes it great. I would recommend it to all my friends and family. Sad to say I didn't see RushCard available at the store where I found it originally. I would be happy to know where to get them still. I have a friend and I would get one for each of my kids. I ordered the black RushCard with gold writing. I had it for barely a month and rarely used it then the writing faded off. After talking with reps multiple times about this not being my fault and a card defect all they offered was a replacement card for a fee. I finally ordered (different) style of card, and was sent the same exact card and they had the nerve to try and charge me again and that is totally unacceptable.

I've had RushCard for years and had a good experience with it so far. I do online purchases and pay some bills with it. The direct deposit is really convenient since I don't have to worry about cashing a check and then putting the money on the card. It just goes on automatically. One of the things that I liked about it is that I get my deposit earlier, so I do my bills around that. It’s one of the best features of RushCard. I also like the fact that there's no overdraft. Whatever I have is what I have. Plus, their team has always helped. I would definitely recommend them.

I love my RushCard. It has came in handy. I couldn't get a checking account and needed something for direct deposit and I decided to go with RushCard and it has been a blessing ever since. The check cashing feature as well and the other features are amazing and I'm very satisfied.

I have rarely ever have a problem. When I do I call them or email them and by the next day it's fixed! I get my direct deposit a day ahead of my coworkers. I feel like RushCard stays on top of the Game!! I can't wait to hear if they will be doing the chip cards! Thanks RushCard!!

I’ve been a RushCard member for almost 14 year. I love getting my paycheck on time or most months 2 days early. I support ** owned business! I am able to use to RushCard wherever I travel, I can rent a car with my RushCard with Alamo rental, I can make hotel reservations. There are many MoneyPass ATMs in my area.

Very unhappy that I can't seem to get a new card shipped out to me!! The card is very old and beat up and does not scan sometimes!! If I cannot get a new card soon I will be forced to cancel my account.

I am satisfied with my RushCard so far, this is the option I use to get money to my sister by transfer. Hopefully some new features will be added in the future. Also thankful that my current card doesn't have the chip because it still has glitches.

I like RushCard because you get your deposit faster. But the only problem is when you do a dispute it takes 90 days and you cannot use your routing and account number to withdraw like a bank. A lot of companies consider RushCard a gift card and not a debit like a bank card.

Very poor customer service. No resolution at all for ONLY getting specific email and texts alerts as my preferences! I have set my preferences online at website AND complained to customer service that I DO NOT WANT OFFERS or anything else but my alerts for my purchases. I even "escalated" and still get offers almost everyday!
Now since the last time I spoke to customer service, I only get offers and no transaction alerts by text or email! I'm very frustrated with Rushcard. My preferences are ignored! I want to get alerts for my transactions but NO OFFERS! I have had many, many issues with Rushcard's customer services including being hung up on. Very terrible. I don't know an order number but am wanting to speak to someone about this ONGOING ISSUE WITH RUSHCARD. Please help. I'm an unhappy consumer.

I had RushCard for seven years now and I have three accounts. Everything is great, never had any problems. My only down side would be that after seven years I've never won anything. It would be nice to show more customer appreciation with small things.

I've been using RushCard for 8 years. For the most part I'm happy. Aside from the 2016 incident that affected millions, and the occasional delay in deposits being entered into my account, or balances shown not being accurate (like today), I am fairly happy with RushCard.

Don't like the way the representative help with speaking to people when they're trying to help them. Representatives do not treat customers right when they're speaking to them, they undermined them. Don't I make them feel like they don't know what they're talking about or tell them they can't do what they want to do with their own money.

I hate RushCard so much, the CUSTOMER SERVICE is dreadful. They take money out of my account when I don't authorize. They have no way of helping you get your money back, they recently made a way to do that takes 90 days... I had RushCard when they froze everyone's account. First I couldn't pay for heat and hot water then I got evicted. RushCard is the worst choice I ever made.

I have had this Rushcard account @ 10 years or more. I use it for direct deposit. I have given cards to my kids so I can easily transfer funds. I had my account hacked @ 10 years ago and it was handled immediately.

Simply like being able to access my funds on Wednesday. Only thing I don't like it is hard to access a live person to speak with when you do have issues. When funds have been late you can't question. When you have a question about something pending too long. It's hard to get through.

I am satisfied with my RushCard account. The only thing I do not like that you started off with cashback rewards and then changed it to nothing. Just give the people something back once in a while. I have been with RushCard almost 10 years and get no rewards. Not able to even overdraft $1. Just show your loyal customers some appreciation.

I've had my gov't benefits direct deposited since 2008 and love how my Rushcard pays out... Well there was an problem thru SSA and my funds were to be routed to another account... A NO NO!!! Got it reversed back and hoping I'm in the we standing as before!!!

I was a loyal customer with Rushcard since 2005, in October 2017 my account was closed without notice and I received a check in the mail with the remaining funds that was in my account. I called to see why they closed my account and was only advised Rushcard no longer wanted to do business with me! Totally shocked. No reason given but they closed my account.

This is a great alternative to a regular checking account but it doesn't reflect on our credit report in a positive manner. So I may have to leave RushCard and it doesn't work with most apps like uber or Apple Pay. If you guys could fix these issues it would be great.

I am completely disappointed in RushCard's customer services and the direction its taken. Some representatives are rude and one even hung up on me and all refused to provide your corporate number. My fiance and I are on the verge of canceling our account altogether and would like to speak with someone outside of customer service to address an issue that still hasn't been resolved. Thank you.

When RushCard was with Bancorp... I used to receive my direct deposit early. Since switching to MetaBank... I receive my pay later or on my actual payday. I still enjoy RushCard. I just wish I could win one of your contest. A bonus is needed right now.

I have been trying to get a transfer of my account for over a year. When I call I only get told that I can go online and stop it, but when I do there is no drop down to allow it. Never has been dealt with. I also show no record of my account on my credit, which I thought the RushCard did. But overall, I appreciate the convenience of the card.

The card is great. I've been a member for quite some time now and had no problems. Just with the sweepstakes seems like Louisiana get looked over. I haven't seen a winner here yet. I had someone trying to steal my information and Rushcard called me immediately and corrected the problems. Sent out a new card very fast!

Everyone got a little bit of money from the mess up you guys did on the Rushcards but me and on top of the fact that you guys kept taking money from me. I understand some fees but most of them where uncalled for and I didn't get reimbursed for anything ever. Just sad. I've been with Rushcard for a very long time but not anymore. Yes I called most of the time to report the mess ups and still got nowhere. So yes I'm giving you guys a thumbs down and almost all my friends said they're leaving as well because they don't want it to happen to them. Goodbye Rushcard.

Rushcard is convenient, but the people that live in North Carolina are never winners in the contest. I have been with Rushcard seven years and never win anything. I love when my check comes early but appreciation is due.

I am a RushCard member for the last 3 years because I get my pay 3 days earlier. My load use to post at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, but now it post at 10 p.m. and I'm really upset. Thinking about going to NetSpend soon.

I have been a member since 2006. On 10/03/17, I got a deposit of my payroll and I have been a member since 2006. I went to a First Tennessee Bank ATM to withdraw 200.00 from it. When I inserted my card and asked for the amount the screen quickly read, "Transaction has been cancelled". So, I thought, well maybe I did something wrong. So, I inserted the card and tried to get the amount again. I got the same error message and no money or receipt came from the ATM. I called FTB and was informed to dispute the amount with my bank. So, I called Rush and was told to wait until the transaction was not reading pending and callback for the dispute. Shortly, after on the same day, I called to put in a dispute for this amount. This money was supposed to be used for my rent. Me and my kids could be evicted because Rush refuses to put my money back on the card.
I called FTB again and they informed me that they are aware of the error with that particular ATM and the issue has been corrected, but are showing no dispute as of yet. Please help me get my money back. I need to this money for my rent. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. I have called at least 6 times on this issue and they continue to tell me they can't transfer me to the dispute department. I have never gone through anything like this. After all is resolved, I will not be doing any more business with you guys. I can't understand after being a member for 11 years that this is happening to me. I have read a lot of complaints online and you guys have a C- rating with the BBB. That's awful. Russell Simmons should really be ashamed of himself!!! God is not pleased with the way you guys are doing business and hurting people. Especially, innocent children. Please give me my 406.00!!!

It's been 75 days and RushCard failed to refund my money. I even had the merchant on the line who stated they refunded the money to RushCard and they still refused to credit my account. Customer service and dispute team are very unprofessional and no help. I'm pissed.

I am so frustrated and annoyed by the rude treatment I have received recently from RushCard. I have had a RushCard for 12 years and this absolutely is unacceptable. I had TWO Amazon Prime memberships authorized on my card for $99 each. When I called and told them it was doubly authorized I was told by Amazon it was a mistake by RushCard. RushCard told me it was a mistake by Amazon. I DON'T REALLY CARE whose mistake. I just want it fixed. I was told by RushCard because the two transactions were 30 minutes apart that couldn't assume it was the same charge.
I faxed all the information from Amazon to RushCard (AS YOU CAN'T ACTUALLY SPEAK TO SOMEONE IN "THEIR BACK OFFICE"). I never heard back. I finally called again and got another rude customer service person who repeatedly spoke over me and kept telling me "I'm sorry we want to help you." What a load of **. They don't listen, they don't fix anything. They don't provide any contact information so you can resolve your issue and worst of all they still have my $99 and won’t return it, which in my book is theft.

I have had RushCard for about 3 months. I have never swiped the card not one time in any transaction. I have deposited $70 on the card so far and only spent 30 of it myself. The rest of they took for so-called fees that are supposed to be one time fees. Mind you I've never slipped the card in any place of business. I've used it twice online and it's still costing me more money than I spent. I've contacted the customer service department.

It was eight years ago when I first heard about RushCard and I’ve had it for quite some time. The service is cool and the process is convenient. I use the direct deposit frequently and I pay bills or make online purchases all the time using RushCard but I hate calling them. It is frustrating when you have a person that has a thick accent and is hard to understand. They hire the cheapest labor that they can get. Also, they have numbers attached to our account because when someone uses my phone to call their RushCard, they automatically give them my information. They didn’t consider that some people use other people's phone.

I have been a Rushcard holder for more than 4 years. I saw their TV commercial and at that time, I just wanted the extra card instead of my bank debit card. Basically, I use it for lunch card. And it's also convenient to pay my bills online because it has a Visa or MasterCard logo. So far, I have only used the direct deposit option. I just wish there was an easier way to reload, like being able to transfer from your bank directly to the Rushcard, instead of going through a third-party. Because at the moment, you need to load another card to put it on Rushcard, or go to Walmart and load it. And that's inconvenient. I only got to interact with their team to stop the dollar swipe-thing where every time you swipe they charge you a dollar because they charged me $4.95 a month.

Rushcard has good benefits and their customer service is pretty good. I only had one big issue with when my money didn't post on time. I spoke to them and they did pretty well. The system was updating and it didn't update like I was expecting an update. Instead of posting like in the morning, they ended up posting late that evening. That was really nice. It's very convenient to go out and go to ATM near my home and use it at any store online. I recommended friends and family to it and they're using Rushcard also.

I have been a RushCard member since 2007. Today I tried to file a claim for a company that robbed me of $91.08. I called RushCard and they said they can't do ANYTHING! I feel robbed! I don't understand why I can't file a claim on a bogus company and that the prepaid company all my money has been going to for 10 years refused to help me! I will be closing my RushCard and getting a real bank. At least with a real bank I can get help! How can RushCard pick and choose who can file a claim and who can't? I work hard for my money!

I get paid a few days early when RushCard works properly which is always a plus. I like that what you have is what you have and you're not going to get an overdraft. The money comes out right then and there so it’s not a situation to where there’s a delay and you calculate and think that you have more when you really don’t. I do direct deposit and use RushCard all the time to do online purchases and it's definitely convenient. But if I have an emergency situation or have a bill due, it’s such a hassle sometimes to try to get through as far as phone support. Also, when you go on the forums online, they would say to give them a call. It’s been like that since I had the card and that's their downfall. There were some rough times and I was on hold for an hour. Although RushCard is not going to get it perfect every single time, they've been consistent for the most part of my experience with them. Sometimes there are hiccups but that’s normal.

My fiance sent a transfer to a RushCard that I just received. We both were doing it together and picked out the correct card to send the money too. All of sudden the money was sent to an inactive card on my account that I never received. Called to see if the money could be transferred to the card I have on my account that's active and I was told no. I'm going to have to receive a new card because they need the CVV. Well if that's the case what happens when the new card is received, won't they need the CVV of the inactive card as well? I'm so freakin' furious with Rushcard. I need my money to feed my children!

One of the biggest pluses I like with RushCard is the fact that I get my paycheck two days prior to the actual payday. At one point, RushCard even had an overdraft check where you can overdraft a few dollars. They don’t do that anymore, but that was helpful. It’s also real convenient that I'm able to use it for online purchases. The only drawback is some merchants online don’t take prepaid cards, like my Samsung Pay. I have to use another card but I like the RushCard 'cause that’s where I have my direct deposit go to. I also like that I can add money to the card when I need to and that ATMs are easy to find. The card is easy to use and the customer service is good.

I have had a RushCard since 2013. I shop at Walmart at least once per week. When shopping last week, having over $1000 balance in my account, my card declined for the purchase. When calling RushCard, I was told that I needed to go to another store as the card tends to do that a lot at Walmart. This is unacceptable! The thought of the embarrassment of having a declined transaction possible anytime I go to Walmart despite having thousands of dollars does not appeal to me. Fortunately, I have another bank credit card so all was not lost, but RushCard is unreliable.

I ordered pizza from Domino’s August 31, 2017. They never delivered the pizza in. When I called they claimed that they refund me back. Anyhow, the money never came back to my account. Called Rush to dispute the transaction Sept 6 2017. They said it would take forty five, why? I have no idea. Just called these people today and now they tell me I can't dispute the transaction because the case was close. When I asked why she said because I never sent the paper work back which I faxed it on Sept 8 at nine am. so when I ask to speak to a supervisor she tells me all the supervisors are on a conference call. This is the absolute worst. I'll just stick with Bank of America and Chase. This RushCard is some bs horrible service. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Direct deposits are very inconsistent... Sometimes I get it 2 days early, sometimes I get it 3 days early and sometimes I get it 1 day early. Today is my pay date, bills getting cut off, RushCard will not release my money on my pay date and they lie and play like they haven't received it! When I've already got my stub from my employer! I will be looking for a better consistent card by next payday. Anyone thinking about getting the "RushCard" DON'T... Get a NetSpend.

I use Rushcard as a savings and to supplement certain income. Everything is great. I use it for small payments and things that I need to buy, but I try not to use it that much because every time, I’m charged a fee. As a long time customer, Rushcard should have a better plan so that every time that I’m using them, I’m not charged a dollar.

I have a good experience with Rushcard. It works. I still have a bank account but Rushcard lets me get a little bit of money earlier so I keep a little bit in that account. I use it to pay my daycare fee. There are some things I can’t do with it, but I’m able to do most things with it. The ATMs are free when you go to a certain bank so it’s fine. I use it to withdraw once every two weeks.

RushCard is the biggest rip off I have ever dealt with! I highly recommend everyone find a new banking method... I have been screwed 1 too many times by RushCard... Never again. My husband and I have been customers for a combined 10 years and RushCard shows no loyalty, they do not help customers with issues like stolen cards. They say they send a card out the day you call and ask for a new one, yet no card is mailed for days, then you start the 5-7 business day wait. So in total it takes 9-11 business days. The customer service itself sucks, they tell you one thing one day, the next they say a completely different bull crap answer. If you like having your money when you need it, get a different account!!

When I first started with RushCard, there was the Russell Simmons thing and I liked the pink card. I signed up for it and I've been using it for more than 10 years now. Since I acquired the card, it has changed from just me putting my money on it to being able to use it with other outlets and for direct deposit. I like how I’m able to go online and pay different bills on it. I especially like that when I sign on to my account on the web, it tells me my averages and gives me different ratios to help me save or balance my money more.
Reloading is also more convenient now that they’re doing it at the register. I can go right around the corner from my house and reload my card there. Then if I need to pay a bill, the money's already on there by the time I get home. On top of that, RushCard doesn’t charge crazy fees except when I use it or go to an ATM. They don't have a monthly recurring fee either. Although my card was compromised once, their customer service team was able to stop it. Then, there was another time when they were having that whole incident and I was able to withdraw money but cannot swipe the card. They called me and explained what was going on. Overall, it's been a good experience and I would sign up with them again. I’ve also told a couple of people about them even before they started the "refer a friend" program.

I could NOT FIND an atm for over a week. I went to multiple MoneyPass locations that I found off of the RushCard website. I was finally able to reach a live person from the RushCard contact number and was told I could use Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, US Bank of America, any CVS or Walgreens. Well guess what? I had been all those places multiple locations and was denied access to my funds. Then I finally decided to use a random atm in Rite Aid and it finally worked but I was charge $3.25 for every $400 and I needed $800. This card is a pure rip off!!! This is my last time utilizing this card!!!

Go somewhere else. I only gave one star because zero is not an option. I ordered my first card on the 17th of September. They said that it shipped out on the 18th. It is the 2nd if October and I have had to order a new card and pay to have it overnighted. I will be taking my deposits elsewhere to a company that can be consistent. After 5 calls to their call center I got different answers to the same questions every single time. It was an awful experience.

It's almost impossible to get to any agents from your automated system and when you do reach someone they are always rude or the information provided is useless. They hardly seem to have an answer for the problem at hand. I'm very disappointed in the service from RushCard associates. And this is coming from a call center agent!

I have been using RushCard for at least 10 years. I got them when the pink Baby Phat Card came out at that time. I still like Baby Phat. Having RushCard is very convenient. I use my RushCard when I pay my bills every month. I do direct deposit. I get paid earlier. I reload my card and I have a lot of reload locations near me. I am able to do transfers. A couple of times a week, I send money. It's really convenient for me because my fiance and I can't have the same bank from where he is. It's really hard to transfer money back and forth without all those Western Union fees. It cost us $0.99. I saved a lot of money with the card just off the transfers alone. There's no telling how much money I saved doing that. That's why I kept it after all of that.
I had the trouble for a while with the card-to-card transfer. My fiance and I send money back and forth through the transfers and for a few weeks it was down. We couldn't do the transfers. So what I was told to do was to buy a MoneyPak and load it that way, and that would work. When I did that, that didn't work for me either. I had no way of contacting MoneyPak because I wasn't a MoneyPak customer. I couldn't get an acknowledgment to claim and I couldn't get through their automated system because I didn't have a card number. So I ended up having GreenDot just to be able to go from their system and get somebody to help me on that end to get my money because I have more than $400 tied up to the system. It was the big long ordeal.
I've never had any problem with anybody I've spoken to. It's just that they don't know much. They're not giving the information I need when stuff like these goes on. If they could try to improve that turnaround, it would be great. Nevertheless, the inconvenience didn't outweigh the benefits of me using this card so I stayed with them. I'd recommend it to a couple of friends.

I had just moved to the area and was coming out of the military. I wanted to get something quick instead of going to a bank and trying to open up an account, so I got a RushCard and I’ve been using it for more than 10 years now. I do my direct deposit on it which is really easy. I filled out the form, gave it to our human resources team, and once that was taken care of the first time, I didn’t have to worry about it ever again. I also use Western Union to load my card. A simple $3.95 charge and I can load my money on there. Once that money’s gone, it’s gone and that makes life a lot easier for me. It’s also very convenient to use RushCard to pay bills and make online purchases. I also call their team ever so often when I have a problem with the card not reading and they usually take care of it for me. I would recommend RushCard to anybody looking to have a debit card.

I have a Rushcard and I use its direct deposit feature. When I call them, it's not easy to get an operator and that's been inconvenient. Also, sometimes it takes longer for them to credit on my account on the day I want funding. Normally, they post the next day but I'm in a different city right now and for some reason, the credit hasn't showed up on my account. But I recommend Rushcard. If there's an opportunity where I would dispute something, they follow through. There was also one day that they put the credit on my account before they even resolved the issue and I appreciated that.

I have been a customer since 2013 and have a total of 4 cards including 1 for my 15 year old son. I have always love this company until now. I went to a hotel that put the deposit on my card. When I checked out they took the pending off. I called RushCard (hit 0 a bunch of times you will get a person) to find out what I needed to do to have the pending funds returned to me. I was told I needed a letter faxed from the hotel stating they had took the pending off. I did that on a Tuesday. First the customer service rep gave me the wrong fax number. Once that was solved they received the fax on Friday at 3:46pm. I called and confirmed they did have it. I was then told it had to go to the corp office for approval and it would be 24 to 48 business hours.
When I started the process I called several times a day for updates and confirmations. Each time I talked to someone (when I could understand them) I got a different story. I was told I would have my money back by end of day on Monday, then told that was incorrect. I was told over and over it was up to the corp office BUT it would be only 48 business hours. It is past the 48 business hours and still nothing. They won't give me an update or any other information other than the repeated apology. I did everything they requested and I still do not have access to my funds. Once a day I asked for a supervisor and was put on hold for 15 minutes or longer. I have always recommended this copy and have never had an issue until now. Once (IF) I ever get my funds returned to me I will be canceling all my cards. I am very disappointed in the service and process from this company.

I like the color of RushCard so I got one and I've had it for about eleven years now. I had a bank account as well but RushCard was better for me to shop with and it is more secure. I use it to do a little bit of everything and I do direct deposits. I've recommended it to a lot of people and a lot of people that I know got them now. RushCard was the best choice I made.

RushCard is an awesome card to have and I enjoy it. RushCard has been faithful to me for a long time and I like the fact that everything is on point. I have my direct deposit on it and I can get my check two days in advance. I also like that I can’t go over and only spend what I have. I can purchase online, pay my bills and use it at any ATM machine I go to. It’s convenient and everything works out fine. I go to Walmart, Walgreens and Food Lion to reload my Rushcard. And their customer service reps are very courteous and are concerned about my needs. They are always there to solve my problems if I have one.

I have a two second problem that is not covered talking to a computer. If tech support will not be there or if they are we can't access them tell us. There are many other cards but I wanted to try this one. All I wanted to know is why I paid 7.95 after my 3.95 first fee. So I still get charged for using it or is this like Netspend to make it free or am I paying 7.95 a month just to have this card and I still pay when I can it. I have had a RushCard since October of 2015. This past Sunday my card got stolen out of my vehicle. When I realized it had been stolen I immediately called customer service. They then ordered me a new card and told it would take at least 5-7 business days to receive. I called on Tuesday just 2 days later to verify what would happen to my direct deposit and verify when I would receive my new card. I was told by the latest Monday. Then I asked if it was at all possible to get it any sooner. I was told no I would have it by Monday.
So here it is Saturday. I've spent all week trying to figure out how I am going to get gas or food for my family with no money and no access to my money on my account so I call again this morning to see if they can tell me where is my card. I was then told I probably won't be getting it until Wednesday because that is 7 business. So now the 3rd person I've talked to and yet another answer. I am now infuriated because I've been told multiple answers even after they've said it shipped on the 19th. I mean really why would it take so long. I've been trying to figure out other options or ways to make it through a week without any money. So I decide to call yet again today to find out any more information or to see if it's possible to transfer these funds to another account I mean something. I was of course told no I can't transfer funds with a CVC number which is on the back of the card I don't have yet.
But now this man I am talking to which is the 4th person in a week says, "Well you could order a new card for expedited service and get it in 1-2 days but that won't be until the 26th so you might as well continue to wait for your card that's already on the way." So wait I had the option to get expedited service and get my card in 1-2 days. Why wasn't I notified on Sunday when I ordered my new card that this was an option. I mean really every time I call I get congratulated for being a customer since OCTOBER 2015 but I don't get offered expedited service for a replacement card on one that got STOLEN. I am so frustrated and disgusted with this service. As soon as I get my new card in that will be the end of me dealing with Rushcard ever again.

I received a notification from my RushCard app, that funds being withdrawn from my account. I immediately called to cancel them because I was at work and my card was in my possession. Therefore I wasn't making these unauthorized transactions. The customer service representative failed to immediately cancel the card, if she had done so only $402.00 would've been stolen. In the midst of speaking to customer service representative, two additional transactions at $402.00 were made totaling $1,200.00. The representative literally accused me of lying and stated I was making transactions. I filed a dispute on 9/14/2017 at 2:46. I was told I couldn't file a dispute until the transactions posted. That is absurd and extremely unfair to me the victim. Someone stole my money and I have to wait to dispute the charges.
I was told a manual dispute was being filed on 9/14/2017 and I had to "wait" an additional 24-48 hrs before I would receive the dispute form. But why? I should've been able to dispute the unauthorized charges immediately as well receive an immediate temporary credit. I'm being told I have to wait 10 days before I can receive a provision credit. "If" one is given. I have no money and cannot afford to wait until September 28, 2017 before being reimbursed. I didn't receive the dispute form until 2 days later on Saturday September 16, 2017.
Once I finally received the dispute form all the information on it was incorrect. Josh the customer service supervisor refused to transfer me to the dispute department to have the dispute paperwork resent with the correct information. I was told, "Mark out the incorrect information and write the correct information in, sign it and send it in." He told me this wasn't a "legal" document and it didn't matter if the information was scratched through and handwritten. Josh stated, "it doesn't have notary stamp"
Ruby, Johnathan & Josh were all beyond rude with no compassion to my money being stolen. I simply cannot wait until September 28, to receive a credit, my paycheck was just loaded onto my card the same day. I am a victim of Hurricane Harvey & I have bills due NOW with no money to pay them and RushCard is dragging their feet about issuing me a credit. That is not right!!! Not to mention I had to pay $30 to a new card expedited next day & didn't receive my replacement card until 4 days later. I've been a cardholder since 2015 & this worst experience ever!!!

I have my own RushCard and referred both my teens who are 15 and 16. When I signed them up I did the refer a friend promotion. The guidelines state the cardholder must be in good standing, card not be blocked or restricted and that the load be at least enough to cover the fee of the card which is $3.95. My daughter was so excited to get her card for her first job, I transferred money from mine to hers so she could get her $30 bonus because it meets the guidelines. I never saw the bonus. I called in and was told it could take up to 24 hours which I relayed to my daughter. I emailed them 24 hours later. Still after no bonus and was told the issue was already resolved with a rep but it wasn't!!
I then logged onto Facebook and sent a message with my issue and was told a transfer did not qualify as a load!! What!!! Money is money wherever it came from!! Now this is not anywhere in fine print that transfers are excluded nor does it specify how it has to be loaded!! The rep that I was talking to via Facebook had no rebuttal, explanation or apology. This information could have been relayed earlier in the process and they should have offered/honored the referral because at the end of the day I still had to pay for the transfer and her fee!! I'm disappointed with Rushcard. This is the second time I've had this card and am now looking to close mine and my children's accounts and shop for another card. I get DD to this card and have been for the last year. Not A Happy Customer RushCard!!

I ordered the pink card with the Baby Phat cat. Now, RushCard is telling me they don't have that card anymore but I still see other people coming to my store with that card. I’m mad about that and then, they keep sending me cards and I didn’t even ask for them. When I was using it, I liked it. It was straight and I couldn’t go over. Plus, they let me know how much money I got left on my account through my phone. At one time, I did a direct deposit and it was very convenient because I got my check early.
It wasn’t a problem finding reload locations but it is now. I live in Tampa, Florida and my momma lives in Meridian, Mississippi. I let her use the card and she uses it once a month. My momma wants to put money on my card and that’s how she ended up with a RushCard too. I told her to get one. I used to take the paper to a Walmart, fill it up and drop the money on her card and her card being her possession. Now, you got to take the card to the front desk.
Last week, I was stuck in Huntsville, Alabama. Momma’s trying to figure out which way to get the money. We tried that again and they told us the card has to be read. It’s messed up and we had to pay the $9 for Walmart to Walmart. Back then, it was better because my momma could go to the Walmart, then I could also go to the Walmart and load money on her card. It was straight without the card being there. They need to go back to that. The only thing the card’s being used for now is to buy stuff off Amazon.
When you call and tell me that all I got to pay is shipment and handling, I will pay for that. But they added other stuff to it which I didn’t hear because they were talking so fast. Then they took all the money on my card. I called RushCard and they got my money back. At the time, I was young. I’m a difficult person to deal with and I upset a lot of people but their customer service dealt with us no matter at RushCard and I don't have a problem with them. The card is very convenient and very easy to use but I don’t have my pink card and I want it.

Rush Card is a bunch of BS. I have had nothing but bad experience since day 1. I wouldn't even go into all of them but I will go into my recent problem. Someone stole my card & used $1025. I immediately contacted them and had the card closed. They sent me out some dispute papers to complete & which I did. I was told I would receive a provisional credit in 10 business days. Well on the 10th day I was told it would be Friday. Then Friday turned into Monday. On Monday morning when I called I was told there was no error found and I would not be issued any type of credit. When I asked what information did they have to determine there was no error from the merchants he then hung up on me.
I called back to speak to a supervisor and was told none was available. I've been calling everyday trying to get some resolution only to get foreign speaking people that I can't understand crap they are saying. You can't play with people's money especially no 1k. They have caused me to get an eviction from my apartment because I'm sitting here believing I would get my money back in 10 days like I was told. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with in LIFE. Please please stay away!!! I will be contacting an attorney!

I've had Rushcard for several years and with them, I don't overdraft. However, it says I'm allowed to pay bills but I'm not able to. I may have the wrong routing number or the card people don't take debit cards. Also, I have to go into dispute and there's no option to ask for customer service. It used to be that I can press option 8. Now I have to press a number that doesn't pertain to it. Nevertheless, I'd refer Rushcard to a friend and I'm very satisfied.

RushCard is the first card company I thought to use for my direct deposit because there were several promotions and they provide all these helpful hints on how to get back on track financially. BIG MISTAKE. The refer a friend promotion is very fake. I have been with three coworkers who ordered a card with my promotion code and never received payment. Called customer service and was called uneducated and told most of our customers can comprehend how to use the promotion code. I reached out online to let them know how their reps talk to people especially the supervisor Ann, no response. No apologies.
So now a defaulted ATM eats my card. I call the customer care. Go thru all the little tricks to get a live rep, even with all my personal info they will not help me to send funds that are left off card unless it's to another card which I don't have. So, my only choice is a replacement card which cost 30$ and was sent to wrong address and even though the transaction was voided by ATM owner I have to wait 45 days on reimbursement for my whole paycheck. So, after paying that ridiculous replacement fee I will only have 20$ for gas and food until my next payday. Scams and lies. Rude. These people don't care about nothing but getting money. It's really sad how people treat you like nothing over the phone and don't attempt to help.

I was an employee at RushCard and I got the card. At the time when I joined them, it was hard to get a bank account and so I was able to use the card as a bank account. I could easily go online to check my statuses, make transfers and pay bills. It’s also easy to make a deposit if I had to do a transaction quickly. And, I use direct deposit frequently and it’s very convenient. The experience has been excellent and fabulous. I love RushCard.

So yesterday September 12th I checked my account to see what my balance was so That I could withdraw money. My balance was 47 dollars 300 dollars shorter than I expected. So I give Rush a call About the situation and they tell me there is nothing they can do for 10 days. I should contact the merchant. So the next morning I did. They said "We have no record of this transaction" and that I could have RushCard contact them immediately. I called RushCard back with the information I received To let them know to contact the merchant because they have no record of this transaction.
The account supervisor said he doesn't know who is taking money from the account but he can not stop the transaction so I would have to let them withdraw the money wait 10 days then make a report which is a 60 day process for my money to be returned to me. I have never used this card for big purchases just Uber and purchases under 30 dollars so If RushCard notice a suspicious transaction why didn't they contact me? This is not the first review you will see about RushCard allowing suspicious transaction occur with no explanation on why or where the money went. I'm hurt. That's my money for the week and they took it from me and my children. So now I have to wait 10 days for just an explanation. I will be closing this account and I do not recommend them for anyone. They are unprofessional and the security is terrible. Thanks a lot RushCard. You have yet another unsatisfied customer.

I like the company based on the early deposits and they are convenient, but the deposits actually sometimes don't come on the card until Thursday instead of Wednesday. I notice this has happen at certain times. I would appreciate more response from customer service based on the appropriate deposits that is not submitted by Wednesday.

With that being said, it is unfortunately not guaranteed that deposits will post at the same exact time each pay period. We posts deposits as soon as we receive them from our depository bank. Every time I swiped my RushCard I got charged so I wasn't able to manage my finances better with it. They should have a savings account. I couldn't even use my card to pay bills or make purchases online because the companies that I wanted to pay declined when I used it for online transactions since they don’t take prepaid cards. I used direct deposit to load money, but on some days I got my money, while on other days I didn’t. Two weeks ago, RushCard had a computer error and I got my money a couple of days late. When that happened and I had to call in, the customer service reps were very rude and talked to me in any type of way, and I didn’t like that at all. They didn’t take their jobs seriously. I would recommend RushCard if they had a savings account. But I'm very dissatisfied with RushCard and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone because they charge too much money for a direct deposit.

I've had RushCard since 2014 and they're okay. I get my paychecks faster with RushCard and I use the direct deposit. It's also easy to use to pay bills or make online purchases.

I've had a RushCard for a few years now and I use direct deposit, which is easy. RushCard is great and I get my money fast. But every time I'm using the card, I don't get a large amount off so I keep on swiping and they keep on charging fees. Also, if somebody’s putting the money back on the card, a certain amount of money is taken off, then I go to the place and they place it back on the card but Rushcard makes me wait so long or asks me to fax something stating that they sent the money. I don’t like that and it's all BS. Other than that, I have no other problems and I’d recommend people to get RushCard.

I have to complain and hope I get a answer or resolution!! I have gone through checkout and used my card to pay and my card was rejected! I indeed have the funds so that didn't make any sense! I called Rush. They too said I had funds to pay... this happened more than once. I felt embarrassed because I knew the money was there and I had a line, and other times more than one manager.

It was convenient using RushCard. Instead of getting my funds for a paper check, I do direct deposits, pay my bills and online purchases through it as well. The RushCard team is very friendly and helpful. Customer service and everything has been fine.

The customer service is less than mediocre and that is to say with the highest points, charges to be disputed have to be WRITTEN in by correspondence?? How long does that take to process, meanwhile you the customer are left holding the bag. To be charged 1.00 to make a 1.00 purchase is also another slap in the face to the customer... bad business. A text came to my phone about bill pay for 512.00 dollars on one card and 12.91 on the other, so I tried to log into my account to see who was taking money from my accounts. It was showing my accounts was closed so I called RushCard and all they could tell me is that corporate sent something for my accounts to be closed. I keep asking why and they could not give me a valid reason. I have been dealing with them for over 4 years. They told me I have to wait 7-10 days and I should receive my money in the mail. This is a bad time because hurricane Irma is suppose to be hitting SC and I can't do anything because I don't have my money. They could've contact me or send a text out telling to remove my money off the cards within a time frame.

I tried to call one day concerning a issue I was having with my card. And for the life of me I could not get to a real person. The automated service just kept repeating itself and I could not get through. That was very frustration just trying to get a human being. Our society has gotten so technical it gets out of touch with the customer. Please correct this problem when you can or try calling for yourself.

I have been a members since 2013 and have become increasingly satisfied with RushCard since that time. My payday is now 3 days earlier thanks to RushCard and the representatives may have accents, but they are knowledgeable and for the most part, helpful and invested in their customers' satisfaction.

I filed a discrepancy on charges that I did not approve, and even after their investigation RushCard APPROVED the dispute in favor of the other company. Reason being they show auto order shipped and not returned. I didn't order them, I didn't received them and yet my money was taken from my account. VERY DISAPPOINTED

I don't like when the card company does an update and I don't have access to my funds. I believe that we should still be allowed access to our funds even though the system is going through an update. I was out of town stranded without funds once.

I love my card, it helps me do everything I need to do. My only complaint is there aren't enough No-Fee ATMs around for me to use. Please negotiate with more banks and ATM owners to make this possible for me and other RushCard owners. I have also referred RushCard to friends.

It takes too long to get someone on the line to talk to. Not enough ATM with no fee. My limit to how much I can withdraw changed without me knowing and why is there a fee for every transaction.

I called in to you guys on Sunday because I was having an issue with my card. There is no way to speak with a live agent besides hitting zero many times. The agent was not helpful and my card ended up being confiscated at an ATM because of the agents direction to use another ATM. Then afterwards I was charged $5 for a new replacement card which isn't fair because I lost my card following the directions of the agent. At least once a year I have an issue with getting money off of my card. I was trying to get money off of the card for medication and was unable to. Because the system always fails and I don't have access to my funds and how rude and unreliable the agents are, I am now looking for a bank. I chose a RushCard because I like the fact that I can load money on to it at any time and because I get paid a few days earlier but now it just not worth the trouble.

It's good service and very convenient. Only problem is receiving my direct deposit at a decent hour. I get paid Wed. using the RushCard instead of Fri. which is a plus. The downside is I would receive my money between 5:30p.m and 11:00 p.m. If it stayed at a decent hour so I could go out and take care of important things it would be great.

I am very appreciative of the RushCard because due to unfortunate circumstances I could not get a regular checking account and Rush stepped right in and I could get my direct deposit two days early. I am very grateful because sometimes I was at that critical moment of no money and nowhere to go that I needed that cash and my deposit would show up and I could take care of what I needed to take care of.

I have had very good service from RushCard. The knowledge that one gets is very helpful. The making one funds available from the time that they are received from the government is great. I also like that you can just pay a monthly fee, for each transaction is also a good thing.

The customer service reps are terrible. They are mean and not considerate. I hate calling for anything. Please stop hiring the foreigners. They hang up on you, they lie about your account, and they will lie about managers. Every time I stay at a hotel y'all charge my card twice.

Customer Service has always been pleasant and worked to resolve any issues that I have had. They follow through to ensure that your situation has been taken care of in a satisfactory way. Even going the extra mile by making three way calls if explanations to a Merchant or financial institution is required for the resolution.

I get tired of calling customer service and getting someone who can barely speak English. Since there is always a language barrier my Issues hardly get resolved. As soon as I fix what I need to fix with my bank I will be deactivating my card. I'm done dealing with RushCard.

RushCard is great for what it is a prepaid card. Nobody could really save using this card. I am thankful that I have this option for my direct deposit and I can shop with it. The only negative thing is the transaction fees because I'm already broke and those $1 fees do not make my situation better even if it is just $10. I recommend this card to anyone who understands what a prepaid card is.

I was trying to send some money to my sister but the Rushcard app is not working. I have been with them since they started but their service is so bad now. While Russell Simmons really went out and did that to help us. It's such a great tool but it went downhill from there. I was able to pay bills and make online purchases in the past. But now I am experiencing problems. For example, I just tried it again and the app is temporarily unavailable. So I cannot transfer money, which is a feature that I liked. It saves lots of money when shipping cash back and forth to my three younger sisters.
I could also put money on my Rushcard. And if someone needs gas money, I could just easily for $0.99 give them money. I also have a daughter who’s 20 and she's forever asking me for money. And I can do that too. It’s not as easy to load anymore. I used to run over to the CVS and load. Now you go to them and they act like they never heard of Rushcard. It’s just weird. My sisters have had troubles with deposits too. For example, they deposited money to Rushcard and it is taking days for the money to appear on the card. This is so inconvenient when your cash is gone and you’re needing to use that.
So we have literally stopped using it. All of us went and got a Navy Federal Credit Union account. And we link them all together to avoid the problems that we were having with Rushcard. Two of my sisters had really bad experience with Rushcard and their customer service. One has even called me while in tears after dealing with them. Rushcard is a good idea but they have some work to do.

I’ve been using the RushCard and it's very convenient. I just deposit money into my account and I’m able to use it whenever I go someplace. I can keep up with my finances better and make sure I don't go into overdraft. And when I call them, I'm able to get through and get accurate information. They just have to reconsider the charge of a dollar for every use, especially for those long-time users of RushCard, maybe drop it down to 50 cents. That would help a lot.

I've had a RushCard for a long time and this card is pretty cool. At the beginning, I used to keep money in my pocket and I will spend it. Once I start spending, I will just keep spending. But now with the RushCard, it helps me manage my money better. Once I put my money on the card, I don't touch it. So I can save money from month to month and just let it pile up. I can keep check, I have the text alert sent and online account. So, I know what I'm doing, how much I'm spending, I can keep track of what I was putting in there. I also use it to pay bills and make online purchases. There’s just once when somebody made some online purchases using the money from my account. I had to call in and get that straightened out. RushCard handled it and returned my money back to my card. RushCard is the card of my choice.

I’ve been dealing with Rushcard for about 10 years now. In the beginning, I loved it. It was very convenient and they were great to work with. I used to use it for paying bills or making online purchases. However, everything recently has changed, and it’s become more of a headache to have it than deal with the bank. For three weeks, no one was able to access their money. They had something where they were supposed to be updating their system and something happened, and we literally weren’t able to access.
When they did it, it was in the beginning of the month, so people got rent and light bills. And, I’m being paid through my company, but I can’t access my money, so I’m getting all of these late fees. But the only thing they want to give me for my inconvenience is $20, when I’ve racked up over $400 in late fees, not being able to pay my bills because they have my money. As an interim, they loaded $20 on our card for it. At that time, I was not able to talk to anyone from customer service. They will put me straight to an automated line and if I did talk to the person, they would be very rude and would to let me know that they know that there’s a problem. But them knowing is not solving the problem. My problem is they have my money and I’m not inconveniencing them for anything.
After that, I stopped using RushCard as much. And then, I would have my positive onto the card and take it off, and they had a problem with that. So without me knowing, they cancelled my card for terrorist activities. I had money on that card that I couldn’t access and it didn’t make any sense that they will send me a check for it if they’re going to accuse someone of terrorist activities. The only reason why I keep them is because it’s convenient for me to be paid a couple of days earlier so I can get what I have to get done.

I wanted to get my money faster. With RushCard, sometimes I get my money in two days. One time, I got it in five days. I like it now because I used to get charged $1 for direct deposit. I pay once and use it as many times as I want in a month. It's a very good experience overall.

On August 24th 2017 I paused my card at 10:07am so it could not be used and at about 10:10am it was charged for 500.00. When calling to have situation rectified the representative seemed confused and no help. Also very difficult to understand representative due to language barrier. They then cancelled my current card, not allowing me to withdraw funds that were still there, saying that I would have to wait 5-7 business days for new card to arrive in order to access funds. So not only did I get robbed of 500.00 but now I don't even have access to the other money. Very upset. Will never use this company again.

Since 2016 I have yet to receive my tax refund 2 days early and I will not do it again next year. I upload my entire acct on FB just to warn and show others we rather go to NetSpend. Russell Simmons should be ashamed of his self.

With the tax refund deposits, setting up direct deposit is a quicker option to receive funds instead of receiving a paper check in the mail. I will never use a RushCard again... I hate speaking to reps that are overseas. After being on the phone for over an hour I finally spoke to someone, that I could barely understand. Needless to say I ended up being charge 30.00 for a placement card that I didn't agree to, plus my card that was active was deactivated without my permission on my payday. I felt like they had no care in the world about my financial obligations and the need for my card to be reactivated. Finally I was able to speak to a supervisor and she assured me that the call would be review and that I would be compensated for the mistake that was make... Still WAITING. :(

I am very upset because ever since this morning I have been trying to transfer my money (MY MONEY) and I cannot. I spoke with a customer service rep and they said they were working on it. My co-workers told me about RushCard. Since using it, I am able to save, keep track of my funds and get paid earlier. Plus, my interaction with the rep was great. One thing RushCard can improve is to set up overdraft protection on the card.

I like RushCard’s fee scheduling and having it on hand is necessary. Since using it, I don't have cash in my pocket. It's a good product and I haven't really had any difficulties with it except when they changed banks. I have been doing direct deposit but I would like to see more of the reload locations. Overall, RushCard is extremely convenient and easy to use.

They do not keep the ATM website updated! They are a total rip off, they have you use the ATM locator website to avoid fees yet they still charge you and the ATM charges you as well. When you contact the customer service website they say they will refund you in 1-2 business days but they never do! I have even emailed screen shots of the websites ATM locations with the web-address to prove I used their site to avoid the fees yet they just take your money or do not EVER provide a refund back to your account! Customer service representatives are also very rude and speak over you when you are talking.

I have been getting my check deposited on my RushCard since 2008 because I receive my check more quicker than I would with my credit union, and I have never had any problems with them, until a couple days ago when I tried to transfer money from the goal account to my card and it wouldn't let me. I can't access the account via the web or with an agent. It can only be done on the app which is down!! And every time I call I get the runaround. This company should be shut down. This is so unacceptable.

I've had my RushCard since 2003. I've never had any real issues with it until now. On Friday I needed to pay a bill since I always put that money to the side. I went in to transfer it onto my card and to my surprise the feature was down. Well I never got an email or a text alert saying that I would have an issue getting to my cash. So I borrowed some money paid my bill thinking my money will be available on Saturday. Well it wasn't. I called rushcard customer service and was told to be patient, and that on Monday everything should be fixed.
Hmm well it is Monday and still the same issue. I called customer service back to figure out what was going on. I was given the same line. Well I have other bills due. Then I was told that I would be able to transfer online and not the app. Well ok then I went online to do it and it was the same issue. I wish that Rushcard would communicate better with things like this. Now I have to borrow money until they figure out how to free my money. This is a current issue. I'm not sure if it's everyone, but I know I'm definitely having issues.

It's Friday and it's payday. RushCard has a feature that allows you to transfer to each account almost like a savings. They call it card to card transfer. I started to access my funds at 8am and it's now 1:15pm and still unsuccessful because once again, the company is having issue with the system, which means we are without cash. I have been with the company since 2005 and it's very sad that customer service or the company can't explain why we have no access to our funds today. I am at a gas station writing this because I am so mad I can't get to my money that I worked hard for all week. This is unacceptable. Please don't get this card because you may end up stuck like me.

I have been awaiting funds to be posted back to my account from 12 days ago when the hotel stated they released the incidental hold, yet RushCard has yet to post funds back to my account. Rushcard reps were telling me that the hotel still had a hold on my account so I had the hotel to call them let them know that they did not. I see where they removed the hold but they still will not allow me access to my funds. One rep I talked to said that my funds would be released on the 15th. Spoke to another rep who told me that I was given incorrect information.
The bottom of the RushCard screen shows that I have a balance of $50.00 but according to the top the portion of the RushCard screen the available balance is $0.00. This is simple accounting. Why? I have been a long time customer with Rushcard but for the past year or so customer service is REALLY bad, and it’s almost impossible to get someone on the phone. This was the last straw. I'm closing this account as soon as this is resolved to avoid further frustrations. This used to be a really good company, not sure what has happened.

The RushCard is great. I get my paycheck 3 days early. Charges just under $8 and I can swipe my card as many times as I want. When I signed up for direct deposit I got $25 and when I put $100 on it I got $25 which was a free $50 just for signing up.

I find great use in RushCard. I only hate the one time monthly fee went up. It's still the cheapest I've seen. When I first started using Rush it was about 5.95/month, now it's around 8.00/month. I understand company cost but the cheaper it is to use my own money the better. :-)

I love my RushCard, I love that I get paid early! And everyone takes it! I just hate that it's hard to find the right ATM and getting the double fees for using it and there is no bank you can go to, which kinda makes it hard to deposit money if it's not direct deposit or a check.

I have Never have any major problems and love getting my pay check early! Wouldn't mind a lower monthly fee though. Rush Card is the way to go if you want to be unbanked. You will pay lower fees here than at a bank and you cannot go over what you actually have in your account.

Someone stole my info to my card and was ordering ubers and I tried to dispute some those transactions... I provided all the info they needed only to be told there was nothing they could do about it... I only wanted my money back or to tell me where was those made from and I just gave up and counted almost $100 as a loss.
Hello Doneisha. When a dispute is filed, there is a thorough investigation between RushCard, Visa and the merchant involved. When a dispute takes place:
1. We advise Visa of the fraud.2. Visa advises the merchant.
3. The merchant investigates and, if possible, sends back the signed sales slip to Visa.
4. Visa then returns the merchant's response to us for further investigation.
Each dispute is reviewed thoroughly and if not found in your favor is was per the merchant's decision, not just RushCard.

For the most part I am pleased with the card but it would be nice to be able to receive funds from or be able to send funds to someone's bank. It is an inconvenience when you want give someone money or get money and you have to go to an atm or they have to go get a Green Dot card or Western Union Gram.

I like RushCard and I've been with them for 14 years now. The first card I had was the Baby Phat card and I liked the design of the card. RushCard is convenient and I use their direct deposit feature more frequently. Managing finances will never work for me because I just swipe, swipe, swipe until they give me that balance low alert. That’s the bad thing about cards. But if I had the cash in my hand, I would know. They used to give me $30 free a month and I used to like that. What I don’t like is the overdraft. I only call their customer service for transaction history and when I forgot my password. I usually run credit because they say they charge their customers when they do debit. So far, it's been a good experience. I wish though that they'd give me some free stuff every now and then because they’re always sending me an email talking about some free stuff. As long as they don't go out of business, I'm fine with them.

I had my whole wallet stolen with 2 credit cards along with this RushCard. 2 of 3 cards had money that was taken from my cards w/o my authorization! Supposedly they were gonna conduct an investigation & as customer courtesy I would receive a credit of what was taken! Not true. This occurred on the 07-27-2017. Luckily I called today & they inform me over the phone that they will not be refunding me my money!
I've been waiting thinking they would really investigate & I would really receive a credit within 10 days. I was informed they made their decision not to pay my claim! I still haven't received any correspondence regarding this issue. There is no one to speak with other than the representatives that you can hardly understand & the only option I have I'd to write another letter stating I don't agree with their decision which will take another unnecessary amount of time!
This card is a ripoff. I pay all these fees & I'm supposedly covered in the event something like this occurs & I can't even speak to anyone that actually understands what I need or who I need to speak to! I'm outraged I'll for sure be changing my direct deposit to a card my money is actually protected & where the customers can contact the right people instead of 3rd party. It's a waste of time!

I was never informed about my resolution regarding investigation of a fraud on my prepaid RushCard cc until month after I called about money not being loaded into my account. THe fraud balance was $74.34. Every time I reloaded the card money was being deducted due to fact that Rushcard did not find the error while investigating activities on my account. I was not aware of the fact that the credit they gave me for the stolen money $74.34 was being back to RUSHCARD!!! I NEVER RECEIVED A LETTER FROM RUSHCARD. I WOULD NOT BE USING RUSHCARD AGAIN!!!

I have been with RushCard for nearly almost 10 years now. The time has come where RushCard is very slack in their security process. RushCard allow someone to call in and pretend to be myself and change all of my passwords, my email address, my telephone number then once that was done, I was totally locked out of my own account and the person had total control of my account. Once the person had control of my account the person was able to do multiple card transactions for close to $1,200.
I should have been notified immediately when changes were being made considering that I've had the same email address, the same telephone number, same username for nearly 10 years. Now I have to fight to get my money back. RushCard really needs to upgrade their Security process. I am so very not happy at this point and time. I will definitely leave more feedback once the investigation is done.

I have been fighting over 2 weeks to have my pay check released. The runaround you get going through management is unethical behavior for any business. I sent statements with my signature as requested, I was told on many different conversations with management that my check would be released overnight, and it has been two weeks and still no check!! The unethical behavior is holding a check for the return interest the company receives on the money while the customer suffers with the results of GOOD FAITH/BAD FAITH POLICIES.

I have had Rushcard since 2005 and it was the Baby Phat card. That's how long I've been a part of it. According to a friend of mine who also have the card she was very satisfied with it and she told me to try it out. At that time Rushcard was pretty much the only prepaid card that was available. There were others but I didn't like the other cards so I chose the Rushcard and I've been sticking with it ever since.
I don't have to worry about carrying cash. Also I used to always lose money and I'm like, "Where did it go?" But with the card I can keep track of where my money is being spent at and if somebody tries to use my card. I also have all the alerts set up on it so I know when money is deposited and when it's being used. Plus it’s also very easy paying bills and buying online with it. My money is being directly deposited from my job and setting that up was very easy. I just turned over the information to the business office and within the next pay cycle I'm allowed to set it on my Rushcard. It's an awesome card to have. I can get my money deposited two days early. I can always look and see where the money is going and I love it.

I'm writing this review now because enough is enough. My name is Michael **. I have been a faithful customer of RushCard for over six years, until recent I had any problems rectified swiftly. But, just recent as a month ago I have noticed four unauthorized withdrawals and I addressed them with them. And there wasn't any results at all. That's not the worst. I had this issue once before a year ago and they refunded the money and closed the account and replaced everything. Now here we are exactly a year later and the exact same company is unlawfully and without my permission withdrawing my funds from my account. And to make matters worse I request a dispute complaint form, returns it, fax it actually and then they say they need more information of me.
This is very frustrating and makes me as if I'm at fault. They're asking the same questions of me three to four times and making gestures such as, "You're sure you didn't give your card to anyone or did you misplace it!?" I said, "These are the same people, same company that you know of previously when we cleared it up once before and I was refunded my funds and the account was closed so I was told."
I need wonder if this is a scam from within the company. I mean everyone with this card isn't near Cincinnati, Ohio, meaning what can we do!? Customer service is so horrendous I mean to speak with anyone you have to go through almost all the phone prompts. I am very dissatisfied with this company and Russell Simmons should be very ashamed of this let down of a company. I am tired of trying to get my funds back. I just withdrew what was left closed my account and had my niece, my nephew and my three cousins to take their monies out and go elsewhere. Very Disappointed Former Customer!!

Since using my RushCard my check is deposited early and the notifications come through promptly. I use it for online purchases, paying bills, and paying the store. Every interaction I had with their reps was amazing. I lost my card once then the person that I talked to was prompt with helping me get a new one. I have two cards and they helped me get the money transferred from the card that I lost to my other card.

I received a Rush Card. Had my employer to add my direct deposit. After having my card a while it was stolen and my funds were used. I called and filed a dispute. That was June 7th 2017. The first rep stated I would receive my credit back in 10 days. The 10th day I called and another rep states I'll receive my credit back in 20 days and I should receive an email. After the 20th day no credit, I called in again and the rep states the dispute was not in my favor but I could rebuttal it, and on the same day July 5th I faxed in a rebuttal letter. I asked what will be different in filing a dispute and a rebuttal. The rep states that they will look into the matter.
I made it very clear the rep my bills, rent, and are note was late and behind because of the unauthorised transactions and I need my funds. They assured me this matter would be resolved by now... Today is August 7th and I'm still waiting... I feel if I TRUSTED RUSH CARD, META BANK with my information and their BANK is insured I should receive my credit.

Back in the mid 2000s, RushCard had the Baby Phat card, and I liked the design and the fact that the card was prepaid so I ended up getting one. I do the reload and direct deposit and as long as I'm with Walmart, it’s pretty easy. I like the whole direct deposit thing where you can get your check a day before. That is one of the main benefits for me. A lot of times I can pay bills ahead of time and get things done. Then when the rest of my check comes in, I can maneuver around that and my finances are a lot better. Paying bills and making online purchases are very convenient as well. However, getting in touch with somebody in customer service used to be a lot easier. Then the automated system changed and it was so hard to reach somebody. I tried it a few months ago and it was really hard. But overall, RushCard has been great. I’ve had it for over 10 years now and I haven’t had any major issues.

I got referred to Rushcard through a friend. They allow me to get my money two days ahead of time and it's more convenient using my Rushcard compared to having money in my pocket. It's also convenient with paying my bills and now they got the number locked in so I don't have to put the card number in every time I call. I pay my bills using my Rushcard because my work check get direct on there. It makes it a lot easier for me to do that. I also like the little offers they have around income tax. When I loaded my income tax on my card last year, they gave me an extra $35.
I do online shopping like Amazon and it's also very convenient. I use the reload option, too. The reload locations are easy to find. And if I can't and need to know, I can always look it up on my account online. I've been to Snook's and that's the only place that I ever go to load it up because they have the little red phone which I just pick up and it's automatic. Using the reload option also got a lot easier because at first, we used to have to go fill out a Moneygram thing and I had to remember the code, etc.
The only thing that I had a problem with Rushcard was every time I swiped my card, they used to charge a dollar. They had gotten a little better with that though. After 10 transactions, they don't charge me anymore because I haven't noticed much dollar coming out as much as I used to see it before. Also, Rushcard has four different pretty cards and I have the all pink one. They have a black and a purple card. Being with the Rushcard that long, I've been having the same card and I tried to call in to see the little pretty ones they have now. And they told me I have to pay $10. That should be free. So that's another little problem that I have with them. I've been with them for long. They should just send me a card. Nevertheless, their customer service has been very good. When I tell a lot of people that I get paid ahead of time with Rushcard, they'd be all for it except for the dollar Rushcard charges for the membership.

I’ve been with Rushcard for 15 years. I use it to get my money deposit and pay my bills. I spend less with it because if the money is in there I can’t spend it. So that doesn’t put me in any debt. Also, I don’t really like carrying cash with me, so that’s a good thing. But some of the institutions don’t really take it, like when I go to make my payment, they say that it’s not a valid card and that’s frustrating. I use it for direct deposits and it’s safe. I’ve had it setup for years. At one point, they gave a dollar back for every transaction. Working with the team at Rushcard has been pretty easy. I know when calling, I have to fetch up my entire card number versus a PIN. But most of the time when I call, I’m driving and I don’t have my card on my hand. I wish reaching them would be a little bit easier versus digging through my things and reaching for my card number. Other than that, it’s a pleasant experience. I always recommend them to people.

I am a current account holder with this company. I filed a dispute for fraud on my account. There were transactions consisting of an ATM and a gas station transaction. Neither of these I made. I only have ONE ATM card and it was ALWAYS with me. These transactions occurred in another city as well. So, with that being said, I was told to print out, sign and return my dispute form within 10 days to receive the funds back to my account. I ended up faxing the form on the 12th day because I was out of the country (which I informed RushCard beforehand). I also gave a courtesy call informing them my forms will be faxed in late which they had no problem with.
Well almost 2 weeks went by, no response and no money back in my account. I had to call them just to find out my case was closed due to an unfavorable decision. This is just TERRIBLE BUSINESS!!! I was a victim of fraud!! They dismissed my case like I, myself/business did not matter to them. I will most definitely be filing a claim against this company. I will also be closing my account.

I get overdraft protection but I still end up having some issues with the banks. With RushCard I don’t have to deal with going into the bank and all those fees that I have to always dispute. I even enjoy the fact that RushCard calls me when they notice that a purchase that doesn’t look like my type of purchase has been made. One time I used my card at an ATM or gas station and later that night or the next day somebody tried to use my card to make a commissary or phone card purchase in jail. Rush alerted me that some suspicious billing was going on with my card. Then they took care of it and I appreciated that. And when I locked myself out of my account and forgot my password I called them and everything was fine.
I really like the early deposit option and it’s the only way that I load only because it’s such a hassle to do in any other way. When I had a check to upload I had a considerable time trying to do it. I have to go to a location and Western Union it. I was so frustrated with the whole procedure and it pissed me off. But I’ve been a subscriber of RushCard for at least five years. I mainly use it to pay bills and for online purchases and the process is convenient. RushCard is fast, efficient and trustworthy and I have recommended them. I just hope they can find a smoother way to make the check processing easier.

I've been with RushCard since 2005. Everything has been easy, their representatives have been good to me, and everybody has been doing their job and helping me in making sure my money is there. I have no problem and that's why I've been a loyal customer for so long. But I've been having problems with the card. The black part gets scratched off easily. It wears off or tears down. That's the third time it has happened. But it's alright because I'm still a loyal customer. I'm waiting for a new card. I will recommend RushCard to somebody else.

I’ve been with Rushcard for over 10 years. There used to be a program where I used to get a dollar back for every purchase. That was on 15th of every month. If you spent so much, just say if I made 30 purchases then I got $30 back. That was a good perk that they took away. Rushcard does keep me on track and I have access to check my balance. It’s convenient and for a majority of the stuff, it works but in other instances, it doesn’t. I can’t use it for Uber, plus this one time, I can’t pay for a shirt thru this link that my friend sent me so I have to meet up with her to pay cash.
Sometimes there’s a language impairment with the Rushcard team. I have to get them to repeat stuff quite often. But, the direct deposit option is fine. I get my money at least two days earlier than expected. If payday is on Friday, I usually get my money by Wednesday. I haven’t had any issues with Rushcard. I just wish that they would bring back that reward or cash back program that they had.

I've been a RushCard customer since 2012... I've never had a need to call them until this year 2017. So maybe that had ** service the entire time, I'm not sure. What I am sure of is that somehow my card was stolen and, an $175 purchase was charged to my account. After disputing the transaction I was told I would be mailed a dispute form, send it back within 10 days and you'll see your return. The dispute form is not received at my home until two weeks later. I've already been waiting so I immediately sign it and hand it right back to my neighborhood mailman so that it can be processed and right on its way back the SAME EXACT DAY I RECEIVED IT! Welp let's just sum this up by saying 15 days later I still have no refund. 30 days later I have NO refund.
I've been on the phone with their customer for months now... It is August 1st and this UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE WAS MADE EARLY JUNE... I'm tired of complaining to a new person just for each one's response to be you sent your paperwork back too late??? How is the same day too ** late??? I am irate!! It's $175 and you people are a Million/billion-dollar corporation. I should not be punished for being victimized and then call your customer service line and get the same sentence read off of a piece of paper over and over to me. Finally I was fed up after all these calls leading to no refund and asked who owned this company, I was told Green Dot. I then place a call to them.
1) RushCard isn't even listed as a subsidiary partner or card company amongst their choices, and 2) the rep had me pull out both the replacement card number, and the account number that was replaced which I had to gather from memory. Finally she is able to see something with the old account number... AND ALL SHE COULD SEE WAS MY ** NAME AND WHO THE CARD WAS THROUGH!!! How is it that RushCard has terrible customer service that barely understands you, not one person I've spoken to is there to help those who speak english.
I'm all for being employed with a different cultural tongue but NOT ONE PERSON CAN UNDERSTAND ME??? NOT ONE?? They hang up in your face, don't document anything they say they are, & are owned by a company who cant see ** on your account, cant step in and take control??? Im honestly starting to think this is a scam, stealing peoples money in small increments so we don't notice and even if we do most of us are too busy and struggling to make a big sell out 50 cents here and there. I am disgusted and I want my account closed and a personal check written out to me for the exact amount that was stollen due to both of these companies negligence, and if I don't get my ** money back, don't think that this one angry customer can't make this world wide news!

On July 20th I filed a dispute for charges on my account that I didn't authorized, Rush said they will issue me credit until the investigation was conducted. Then 4 days later on the 24th RushCard closed my account. I asked could I open up another one. A supervisor said yes, that all I would need to do was mail in proof of my address, Social security card & drivers ID (all my personal information) so I faxed & emailed all my personal information on July 25th.
After talking to 3 people including a manager, supervisor & sales rep they said I couldn't open up account. Since giving them my personal info things have popped up on my credit report (so someone is using my personal information from RushCard). I still dont have my MONEY. I'm in the process of talking to a lawyer along with the financial customer bureau. Since I'm getting nowhere with RushCard.

I have been happy with RushCard till now. I lost my card, followed the directions on the app, but there is no option to replace my card. Multiple emails with no response, there is no actual person to talk to! I really hope they fix this! Huge oversight of the company.

My card was debited fraudulently. As a loyal customer the customer service have no capabilities of handling these situations. I have been a loyal customer from 2012. I have no protection and no confidence in a company that says, "There's nothing we can do. You have to wait 10 days to be approved to be eligible to receive your credit." I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and was never transferred.

I got my first RushCard in 2007 only because the Baby Phat RushCard came out. I was a Baby Phat fan so I just had to have it. I started out with that pink card and since then, my RushCard has allowed me to hold the money on the card. It enables me to save and then take money off when needed. When I use it to spend on something, I know what I have left because I get alerts. I travel a lot and it has been such a convenience when I go places before I had credit card by being able to check into hotels, go out and eat, buy items at a grocery store, and not have to carry cash. It’s accepted everywhere, except for UBER which doesn’t take prepaid cards. It's like having a credit card but not having interest.
I've purchased some stuff online with it too, but I don't use it to pay bills, although I did that once in an emergency situation. My financial aids go directly to my RushCard so I normally use the direct deposit option. I’m about to set it up for my paycheck. I’ve just been so lazy to do that. I could easily buy to monetize, but lately I've just gone to the check cashing place to load the money on my card because it’s $2 cheaper.
There was only one time I had an issue when the automated system was having a system power mess and I couldn’t access the RushCard guys from my phone. They wouldn’t give me the options when I called from my number and I had to go to a phone booth. The other time that I had to call the Customer Service, the problem wasn’t on RushCard’s part. I had stayed at a hotel in Los Angeles and they wouldn’t release the authorization on my card, but they kept saying that they had released it even if they had not. The RushCard agent was really helpful in getting the information faxed over to show them that the hold was still there and also helped me get my money back before the 30 days that they were trying to hold my funds. Overall, it was a great experience I had with RushCard.

I'm very disappointed with my RushCard. I have $75 just sitting on my card. I tried using my card at an ATM, to pay a bill online, and at a register and Im getting declined either for a chip not working or card is invalid. So when I log into my account my status is saying pending activation and when I call the card in it is saying something totally different and I will need to add money to activate which I already have. I will not add anymore money on it because of this. I also haven't reached customer service by phone or email for almost a week. I have no doubt in mind this is not legit.

My actual pay date is 7/28, and I usually receive it 2 days ahead. I've tried to call using the phone number on the back of the card. I cannot find an option to speak with a live rep. I would like to know when my money will be available. I have been a customer for several years, this is my 1st problem. It may be my last, depending on the resolution!

My ex filed a dispute on a card to card transfer then the same day she cancel it and sent in the letter. They asked her to send. Well they told her it will be 24 to 48 hours. Well it's been 2 weeks and my card is still on hold while hers is active. I've asked for the dispute team number so I can directly talk to them and they refuse. All I want is my 400 dollars off my card and I will not use them again.
Hey Clifton. Disputed transactions can take up to 60 days to resolve. Once you complete the necessary documentation and send it in, this form will help us begin the formal dispute process (also called a chargeback).
1. We advise Visa of the fraud.2. Visa advises the merchant.
3. The merchant investigates and, if possible, sends back the signed sales slip to Visa.
4. Visa then returns the merchant's response to us for further investigation.
*If we do not get a response from the merchant, your card will be credited. However, the merchant must have ample time to respond, which is why the process can take up to 60 days to resolve. Please send us a private message and we can take a further look into the situation.

I needed RushCard for work and I've been with them for a few years. Being able to make online purchases is the only benefit of using the card although, during that time when they had the issues with their system a couple of years ago, the card didn't work. That time too, I kept trying to go about getting my money and never got it. That was also the only time I talked to their customer service and they couldn't really help me. I kept asking customer service for someone to speak to me in English that I can understand and the rep kept putting me on hold. I’ve been trying to switch my card, but I don’t feel like going through all of that with my job. Overall, my experience with RushCard has been okay.

I have been a RushCard holder for quite some time now. I lost my card and had to order a new one. The customer service rep was very helpful and very pleasant. I have and still would recommend RushCard to my family and friends. I don't have to speak to customer service that often. But when I do it is always a pleasant experience.
