    I've been with RushCard since 2008 and I like it. I use it for direct deposit and I'm also able to save money with it. When I have cash, I spend it all but since I have RushCard, I don't have to carry cash. Additionally, I use RushCard to pay bills and make purchases online which are both super easy. And if I have a problem with anything, I call their customer service and they've been decent in handling my concern. It's been a wonderful experience with RushCard.

    When I first got my RushCard it saved me with a new job. And up and till now June 19 2017. Everything had been good. I was supposed to get my direct deposit in on Friday. It's Monday. I'm broke and I'm late on very important bills. This has done more than upset me. It's caused a lot of grief and seriously unnecessary stress. I would like to submit that RushCard do the right thing and release my funds ASAP.

    On June 13 RushCard had a communication error when the merchant ran my card. The charge later went through but merchant charge me again. On the 14 of June I seen it online and card merchant and RushCard on a conference call. They informed merchant to fax documents over so they can release funds. Merchant sent fax to ** three times on the 14. They never received. They faxed again 3 times on 15th and 16th. Still RushCard said they never received when merchant has confirmation saying they went through. Merchant called the bank and had bank release funds back to card on the 16th and was given a approval with number.

    We did a conference call with bank and merchant to RushCard on 17th. RushCard still said need fax. Merchant faxed again three times and still say they don't have it. On 18 faxed another three times then was told I can upload it online. Did that. They received documents but said they weren't accepted. Have to be faxed. Today is 19th. 6 days later went back to merchant. Had them re-fax to **. Uploaded it again and fax to ** a different fax and I received through text. I read several reviews on how RushCard has stole money from people giving same bogus fax then saying they never received it or people upload and they always reject it. That wrong and I will be suing.

    My boyfriend had a RushCard and I went with it. I've been with them for a long time, and I just use it for my direct deposit. I get my direct deposit earlier than normal. RushCard is convenient for purchases and it's like using a debit card. My experience with them has been fine and I've had no issues.

    I'm able to go online, look at all my transactions and set up a bill payment with RushCard. It helps that I receive my check a couple days earlier than most other deposits. It's convenient. I use their direct deposit and when I need to, I can just go to the store and deposit because I do have a couple other RushCards. It's a very easy process. I tell the store I want to make a deposit, they ask how much, they swipe my card and put the deposit on. Within a few minutes, I get an alert that it's on there. Only thing is when they ask our annual fees, the fees are a little bit higher. Other than that, I love my experience with RushCard.

    RushCard has a very low fee compared to other advertised cards of any kind and there's an easy transfer fee from card to card. I have introduced three or four of my family members to it because whenever my daughters may need money, I just transfer real quick. They can get it in seconds or in minutes at least. RushCard has helped me save money and spend responsibly. I use it mostly for regular purchases and for paying monthly bills. Also, I've always had good experiences with their customer service team. Overall, they're convenient and I've had excellent service.

    I've been a member of RushCard for almost 10 years. It is convenient and has direct deposit options. It works for me and it's a way for me to save my money in the bank account and I just use it for minor purchases. It's hassle free and I would recommend it if you needed a card with a Visa logo and you can keep up with it.

    Filed a dispute on 4/10/17. The representative stated that I will receive a dispute form in the mail. I did not receive it so I called back and I spoke to a representative. They said that I went past 10 days for my credit. They also told me to check my spam box in my email. It was there. They also stated that the dispute team would consider that I didn't receive the email I've been waiting 2 months and still no response from the dispute team. The merchant that took the money off my card sent me a letter stating that RushCard took the money back. Still RushCard say the investigation is still ongoing but now where is my hundred $31.27.

    I'm not a satisfied customer. I left Money Network to be a customer with RushCard but they suck. I'm going back some Money Network. My heart money it's just flying around in the air and these telling me I have to wait 90 days. Money that I work for. That's not fair to me. I would never suggest RushCard to anyone. They have bad service. They cannot satisfied their customers.

    My card and account has been closed for 2 months and I have a balance that I have been asking for it to be sent via check and it hasn't even been processed. I keep calling customer service but they keep saying they'll email and escalate it up.

    My name is Tyllisa ** and my mother's name is Moleaser **. I had paid my mother's Sprint bill twice and neither time did I authorize for my debit card to remain on file. I noticed on May 26th that 477.51 were withdrawn from my account. Immediately I called my bank which at the time was RushCard. I submitted a dispute and they stated that a provisional credit will be placed in my account by June 9th. I even called Sprint and they stated they would refund the money when I spoke with a manager. On June 9th there weren’t any funds, I spoke with a manager at my bank and she stated that it will be there on June 12th and still it was no funds. I called once again and was told it will be there in 24 hours.

    Now I felt like I was being given the run around. I called again on June 13th and was told that the dispute team saw no error. I explained how it could be no error if Sprint took out money from my account fraudulently and you guys won’t give it back then she laughed and hung up. Never in my life have I felt so irate. I finally called again later that day and spoke to another manager and was told to file a police report. I just need some help with getting these funds back because now I am in the process of losing my car and then I can't get back and forth to work.

    I been trying to get a replacement for 30 days. Customer service is very rude. RushCard want me to pay $30.00 to get the card to me in 1 or 2 days. I been with RushCard since 2011. And this how they treat their customer. You have to call RushCard 3 or 4 just to get to a supervisor.

    I have tried to get a card for my daughter for over 4 months and keep getting the run around about documents to submit. I send them in & each time I never hear anything until I call in to check on what's going on with processing, only to be told one can read it then another say they don't see it or they can't find it. I have been a member since 2004 and now ready to do away with it. How can you operate a business and not keep the customer informed by phone, email or at least a letter in the mail.

    RushCard said that using their prepaid debit card will build my credit. I've been with them since 2004 and they're a very honest company. Also, with the card, I manage my finances better by keeping my eye on it and having no overdraft fees. I used to have direct deposit on the card and now I just load money on it. It's easy to reload. I go to Walmart or ACE Cash Express and they load it up. Then I use the card to pay my bills. It's convenient to use in paying for bills or making online purchases.

    So my complaint would be the holding of funds from RushCard and the steps have to be taken to get your money from holding that's holding with RushCard and its bank not the merchant. At this time I have $400 that is actually holding with RushCard and they're putting me through so much flux on them releasing my funds. The merchant itself check for me and they even said that there are no transactions because I cancelled the transactions because RushCard is not one they could use for an auto pay.

    Now I'm pretty sure that RushCard knows that there is no funds being pulled from an account that's been actually holding for almost 2 weeks so now I am out of the $400 fund that I'm waiting to be released because Rush is saying I have to have this merchant fax this information however there is no information. This is very tiring because this is the second time this has happened. I like Rush in the beginning but these rules and regulations on releasing holds that their bank put on and know that there is no transaction is ridiculous so at this point because it's taking too much out of me it's time for me to file a suit against their banking system period. I'm not saying not use RushCard however don't ever have any mistakes made because you have to jump through hoops for them to release your funds that's there on your card.

    I love my Rushcard, which I have been using since 2008. I like the setup where everything is on my computer. I can get a report on all the things going on online. If I wanted to see what I spent last year or if I can’t remember when I paid the bill last month, I can go and look it up online. I'm 81 years old so that's something I need to keep records for me. I've also had the direct deposit since I've had Rushcard and my pension and social security always come days earlier. I recommend Rushcard to everybody. They take care of everything and I've always had good rapport with whoever I talked to. If I do have trouble, they resolve it right away and when they had that little trouble before, it didn't affect my account and they didn't charge us any of the charges for a month or so.

    My child was young back then and I wanted a pre-paid debit card instead of an actual bank account for security purposes. With RushCard, I don't have to carry cash and it's secure. If I make a purchase and the funds are not there or if someone else gains access to my card or my information and they try to use my card, they can't swipe it until all of the money is out of my account because there's no overdraft fees. Also, they've sent me updated text information on my account's balance, and I get my payroll a few days earlier. My paycheck goes direct deposit and then if I need to add more during any given time in between pay periods then I use the reload locations. They give the option for the money management which appears to be user-friendly and accessible. Their customer service is always good and their team is very friendly. I'm a big customer service person so I will not have a RushCard if the customer service wasn't that good.

    I've been with this company for six years and never had a issue up until last month. Someone used my card without my knowledge and when I finally noticed I called right away. I sent my dispute form in on May 11th and was told I would receive a provisional credit on my account on May 23rd. It's now June 9th and I've yet to hear anything back. I call EVERYDAY and get the runaround that I should hear back within 48 hours. This company is horrible. It shouldn't take that long and I shouldn't be told EVERY TIME I call that there's no update on my account yet. I'm ready to leave this company and take my business elsewhere.

    I wasn't able to get a bank account so I needed something where I could just deposit my paycheck and I’ve been with RushCard ever since. I’ve been able to have an account and it has been easier to see where the funds are going when I swipe as opposed to keeping money at home. I’ve had rough experiences with their representatives but a year ago, I had one lady during tax time that was so helpful. She gave me the information that I needed without any hassle.     I love RushCard and I've been with them for 12 years since I've been working at my job. I like that there's no overdraft fee when I take the money and I don't have to worry about going over anything because whatever I put in the bank is just my money. So, that helped me save a little bit. A lot of other people let you swipe and get overdraft fees. With RushCard, I get to pay my bills on time because it goes right out of my account and I was grateful for my payroll getting on there. I also like that I get cash back. If I go to a restaurant and they charge an extra $5 and even though they're not really charging it, Rushcard gives it back to me.

    I pay everything with Rushcard and everything comes out of it as well and I didn't have a problem with it. Also, it's easy to find reload locations and there is one right up the street. I have the app on my phone, which helps me out because it tells me if anything happens to my card like who swiped it and the purchases on my card. I get a text message. another reason why I love Rushcard.

    I only had one dispute and it wasn't RushCard's fault. The merchant charged me twice and I was overwhelmed and I was crying because I wanted my money. RushCard made sure that I got back everything that I was supposed to, which I was so overwhelmed with because some people really don't care because it's not their money. The guy that helped me made sure I was okay and that I called the people. He stayed on the line with me and did an awesome job.

    Overall, the people at RushCard are awesome. They always make sure that I'm okay and that I understand what they said to me and they help me out when I need it. They're also more than welcome to help me with any questions that need to be answered and if they couldn’t help me, they find the next person that can help me. They took their time. You could tell if something is not real and they’re always very concerned and I appreciate that. I've been with them for a long time and they showed me that they appreciate me too.

    I've been with RushCard for years and they're great overall. I saw them online and I liked the way everything works when I purchase some stuff online. I can go online and track everything that I do from my phone. Moreover, I don't like carrying cash and, with my card, I haven't had to carry cash. I can also pay all my bills with it. When I call RushCard, my interactions with the customer service reps are fine and they help me get everything situated. I have direct deposit and I used to get my check two days before, but now it's a day early. But other than that, everything is fine.

    I lost my card. I notified RushCard ("RC"). I was told to verify my identity by sending them a copy of my ID and Social Security Card ("SSC"), to which I complied by uploading copies of the documents. I informed RC that I moved to California, and that I wanted my replacement card to be sent to California. RC then instructed me to provide proof of address (phone bill, electric bill, EBT correspondence), and I informed RC that I am a guest of someone. RC then required me to provide a letter from the person I live with, along with a copy of his ID. I uploaded a handwritten letter from him, and his ID. It was rejected.

    I then informed RC that my friend who let me live here, is not the person in whose name the bills are. All the bills are in my friend's mother's name, and she is presently bedridden, literally near death. My friend, her son, is legally authorized to access her accounts to pay bills. But no bills are in his name, and he isn't on food stamps. RC accepted my proof of identity, but not proof of address. So, I closed my account, and told RC to send me my money. I gotta wait 7 to 10 business days!!! My main issue is identity. If my identity has been verified, the card should have been sent where ever I asked. I regret ever messing with RC. I will not recommend them to anybody. The funny part is, they are sending my check to the same address that they disapproved. Figure that one out.

    RushCard has various ATMs where I can go to for free. At first, they didn’t, though, but then they had more ATMs so that was cool. I also liked that I got paid on Wednesdays. It was convenient to get my check loaded, have them on Wednesdays, and be able to pay bills. Also, RushCard has many more locations you can withdraw from. When you reload, you can go to Walmart, Walgreens, stuff like that. I always got direct deposit, though, but if I did reload, then I went to Walmart where it's cheaper to reload. RushCard doesn't charge a big monthly fee as well. If you have direct deposit, it was less than a regular one. I had got another card and gave it to my daughter. I was able to transfer money from my card to her card and that was convenient 'cause she doesn't live with me.

    I've been with RushCard for a long time but they changed so badly over the years. I had to call them a lot when the crash happened and the card was messed up. I would always put my money in my savings part of my card so it wasn’t touched just in case a bill tries to take the card and I don’t want it to at that time. But when the crash happened, it went downhill from there. Every time I called, I always got a foreigner. I never got an American person that understood me very well.

    Recently, I put some money in the savings part of my card and a bill ran through my card. I tried to call them and explained to them that the money in my savings was never taken out and put onto my card to pay a bill. If a bill ran and there wasn’t money on my card, that was it and I'll pay it later. They didn’t understand me and it really pissed me off. I said, “I'm really done with Rush.” I would have to wait forever now to transfer my money from savings to my card. It didn’t use to be like that. I want to use my RushCard when I want to and not when they want to.

    RushCard is the worst card company I've ever had to deal with. First, they didn't cancel my card when I asked them to bank in March. Then while I was waiting on a FAFSA refund to come to my new bank account, it went straight to the RushCard account and I wasn't notified about the deposit at all. I finally called RushCard to dispute all the transactions that were made on my card (the transactions were made in Louisiana - I live in Texas) and filed a claim with them. They said I'd have an answer within 10-90 business days. I literally just called them and they told me that the case was closed for a while note and that there was no error found. They didn't notify me by email, phone, or letter that the claim was closed - I had to call and find out. I am really upset about all this and I just want my money back.

    I had RushCard and they pissed me off. Then I went to Green Dot but I didn’t really care for them, so then I just went back to RushCard. They didn’t have too many prepaid cards to pick from during that time. So, I just never switched to nothing else. Now, they got so many. I've been able to use the card to pay bills or make online purchases and it's an easy process.

    However, I've had problems with the card. Someone had taken money from my account a couple of times and I had to wait a long time to get it back. I frequently do direct deposit. A long time ago, I could get a Green Dot card and the MoneyPak then add it on the card which I like better. Also, when I used to do it with the MoneyPak card with Green Dot, they don’t take that long for the money to reload money on the card. But with Rushcard, I have to go to these check cashing places or to Walmart. Their lines would be so long just for me to add money on my card. Sometimes it takes up to an hour for it to even show. I don’t load money on the card like I used to because I don’t like waiting in lines that long just to do that.

    I also feel like the customer service sucks. Half of them don’t know what they’re doing. I always tell them they need to go back and train. And I used to always get the text alert message but I ain’t got the text alert message for two years now. I don’t know why they took it off. Then they keep on saying, "It’s on there", but it’s not. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. I try to stay away from them because I always have a bad experience.

    I've used my card a lot in store. And I basically just only use my card and no cash purchases. However, I get charged more in some stores. Like at a liquor store where I get charged 20 cents more. But my experience has been pretty decent with RushCard and it's been teaching me how to budget. I recently lost one of my cards so I had to call them and get another card. It was a pretty good experience as all my questions were answered and it was pretty swift.

    I have had RushCard for about 8 years, just like any other prepaid card they are convenient by posting my deposit 2 days earlier, but the headache that comes along with it can be much worse. They had trouble last year with processing everyone's direct deposit even on time and they waived their fees for a few months to appease everyone. Now lately they must have had a breach on certain people's cards because they started blocking a few people's card that I know and now mine. What makes it so bad is that they didn't even verify my transactions with me before blocking my card. They blocked my card while I was traveling for memorial weekend and told me that I would have to wait 5-7 business days for a new card or if I wanted I could pay $30.00 for a new card to be expedited, but not to my present location to my home address.

    I understand the security of my account and all that's fine, but you give me text updates and email notifications and I check my account on a regular basis and nothing was fraud on my account you could verify with me before doing that? I just don't understand how you charge someone for a new card and you couldn't verify fraud first. I personally believe this is a issue with RushCard security that they are taking out on their customers because they can not have any more bad service issues.

    I am on disability, which is directly deposited to my account, so I use it. Rushcard was easy to set up. It’s come in handy, where I don’t have to carry cash if I have to buy something I needed or when I pay my bills. I called them one time because I wasn’t sure what’s gonna happen since it was coming to the end of the date to expire, but they told me that it was already in the mail and everything’s gonna be fine. I also called when I lost my card. I’ve been using RushCard since 2010 and I like it.

Contacted RushCard and they refused to release the pending transactions after I advised them of the unauthorized transactions that I don't know who the individuals are.

    Well, I called to get secondary card for my account. The rep cancelled my first card May 16 and told me it was reversible and call back in 72 hours. I was so upset, called cause my paycheck hit my card and card is cancelled and I was told by many reps quote: "Oh well you have to wait till replacement get here." I asked can they put my old card back. No one asked him to cancel it. He did on his own and then said "I can cancel your account. If you happy we will mail you your pay." I was so pissed like really now. Today is May 26, 2017 and still, my card is not here, and my car note not paid, and light bill due, and reps are so rude. I just wanted help. I even asked can they transfer to my husband account which show I do transfer all the time but nope, rude is what I get. Long time customer treated so poor.

    On 5/2/17 there was a charge to my account of $100.00. In reviewing my account online I noticed it was a charge for T-Mobile with a transaction number and phone number. Contacted T-Mobile and they stated they could not assist me. I then contacted RushCard, after initials questions by a customer service representative I was placed on hold for 45 minutes. Once someone came on the line to assist, and after information was provided I was told that my card would be cancelled. In no point (now at almost 2 hours of on hold and speaking to representatives) was I told my card would be cancelled.

    I told the representative on 4 separate occasions to not cancel my card. I had payments that were due on Friday (5/5/17). I asked for a supervisor, was told a supervisor was not available but he could transfer me to another department supervisor but that upon transferring the cancelling of the card would happen. I again stated, "DO NOT CANCEL MY CARD." Upon transfer and speaking to someone I asked to confirm that my card was not cancelled and was told it just had been. I explained the entire situation again and was told this was unacceptable because I have bills to pay. I was told my alternative would be “express cash” but that it would be a $30.00 fee. I of course refused and said, "Why should I pay for your mistake?"

    After another LONG hold, the representative stated the mistake was made by the previous representative and the fee would be waived. That within 6 “working hours” I should call back and request the code to allow me the ability to pick up the balance of funds via western union/moneygram. I was told it would be no later than 2pm on Thursday 5/4/17. I called at 2:09 on Thursday and was told the code was not available and to call back in an hours. I expressed my dissatisfaction and hung up. I called back at 4pm and was told the code was not available, they would resubmit the request to their corporate office and that I would receive a text message with the code.

    On 5/5/17 I called at 8:41 am and was told there was still no code and to try by in an hour. At 10:41am I called back again and was told there was still no code available. I again expressed my dissatisfaction and relayed my stress level related to my bills that are due TODAY. I requested to speak to a supervisor, I was put in contact with Kim ** who advised me that the request for express cash was denied, because of the $30.00 fee not paid. I advised her to refer back to notes and was told by other representative that because of error from first representative the fee would be waived and that at no point in my phones calls of the last 2 days had I been told it was pending “approval” that I kept being told I was being submitted.

    She said there was nothing she could do, I suggested that perhaps their commercials that play while on EXTENDED periods of hold that it would be an excellent idea to advise consumers that upon filing a dispute the card would be immediately cancelled. This is IMPORTANT information to relay being that there is no physical branch we can go into to obtain cash. I went on to ask Kim ** to let me know when the $100.00 will be credited to my account (the T-Mobile charge which initiated my phone call from the onset) and she said as long as my dispute is done it will be credited by May 13, 2017.

    She asked if I had done it, I said I had not received an email but she suggested I do via their online access which I am doing upon completion of this complaint. Kim ** also asked if I wanted her to submit another request for the express cash and that again it is $30.00. I said I would absolutely not pay the $30.00 and that there better not be a charge to my account for this amount. At this point I have no choice but to wait for the card which is 7-10 days. Unacceptable. Recently I have had surgery and this has cause undue stress upon me to the point I had to remain at home today dealing with all of this. Now having to call creditors and explain my situation.

    Updated on 05/27/2017: In a nutshell, card cancelled because of a charge I was questioning. I asked not to cancel card as I had bills due. They still did but was told I could get "rush cash" in 6 business hours (the following day) and after some heated conversation was told the $30.00 fee WOULD BE WAIVED. 3 days later, no cash, was told it was denied because I didn't pay the $30.00!!! I was told this after 3 days of calling for the "code" for the rush cash. Then I have to wait for new card (NO ALTERNATIVE). In the meantime, bills due, late charges being assessed.

    During first conversation was told my account would be credited on the 12th (initial complaint made on the 3rd). I called on the 13th and was told had to fill out form, sent email and returned form via fax. Today is the 26th, STILL NOTHING so I called. First of all I am told that the credit was denied because I didn't return forms. What? I did AND sent email to agent@rushcard.com. I explained the frustration in each time I call there is a different story and that I wouldn't care if it took 45 days, just tell me from the get go. DO NOT tell me "It will be in your account on the 12th" and it isn't there. Now, I asked and please do not think I am racist. I am not, the daughter of immigrants and my children are 1/2 ** so nobody call the race card. BUT I did ask her, "Where are you locate" because I do notice (I did not tell her) that everyone I speak to sounds Asian. She said, "We are in the Philippines."

    Well why would she care what is happening here? Of course not. It will not affect them there?! SHAME ON SIMMONS FOR OUTSOURCING!!!! She then very apologetically gave me explanation of the entire process of a credit to the account. I then explained to her that information was wonderful but should have been given to me by the very first representative I spoke to! Still no credit, beyond frustrated. Will be closing my account and letting everybody know that will listen what a horrible experience I have had! FRUSTRATED in Cali.

    In going with RushCard, I liked the flexibility of having money on a card without having it attached to a checking account and being able to avoid overdraft fees, because if you don't have the money, the card simply won't work and you won't get stuck with overdraft fees. For instance, you won't pay $40 overdraft fee for a latte because you forgot that you barely have enough money to cover that latte.

    However, sometimes certain places that want to put a large, temporary deposit hold don't accept the card. As a matter of fact, recently I was in a car accident and I went to rent a car with Hertz. Hertz was paying for it, but they asked me to put down a card. I gave them my RushCard and they said that the card was declined. It had a couple of bucks on it, but it doesn't give you that feature allowing hotels and rental cars to put a temporary hold on your deposit.

    The biggest problem I had recently was that they took away the rebate program. It ended about nine months or a year ago. Every time you use the card now, you get that dollar fee. They used to refund you that fee at the end of the month or at the end of the statement cycle, and that used to be a perk of using the card. Then, the other time that there was a problem was when RushCard switched their EFT and got people's funds delayed. I used to work for a bank, and that was handled completely wrong — across the borderline and illegal. The issues that I and the rest of the consumers had when they had the EFT change breaks banking compliance law. Luckily, it didn't affect me, like my rent being late, but it potentially could have.

    We're looking at Russell Simmons walking down the VIP line and there were people who were about to get evicted. As a matter of fact, I'm a manager for a company, and one of my new employees, that I had advised to get a RushCard for her paycheck, was one of those that were affected. It took her two weeks to get her money and she had just started there. She had just gotten out of a homeless shelter and into a transition house, so that could have made her homeless again. RushCard wasn't even notifying people on the phone, and she had to keep calling them for two weeks. When that outage happened, everybody all over the country were calling them for two or three weeks before they got their money.

    But other than those two issues, so far RushCard has been okay. Overall, their customer service reps have been fine, except for the time when Rushcard had the big outage of the delay in people’s funds when they switched their EFT. But besides that, their customer service reps have been fine and I've had a fair experience with them.

If they get into trouble, they'll make sure that they stick to their word. When there is a problem and they're gonna fix it, they fix it. The only problem I have with them and so many other companies is, I can't understand the foreigners.     RushCard said that they will deposit your money as soon as it is received. I called Veteran Affairs, my money was sent to Rushcard on the 22nd of May and here it is the 24th and still nothing. If y'all are going to go by a deposit calendar, you can't say our money will deposited once it is sent to you all because that is a lie. Rushcard customer service said I won't get a deposit until the 27th, when my money has already been sent. I have been a member for over 10 years. This is horrible.

    I've been a member of RushCard for at least 10 years and I stay with them for their rates. Also, what they do for their cardholders, as far as the early deposits for your check that you get from the employer and that they give you the $2 to $5 fee back from the ATM, is good. One downside is that I ordered the new gold card and my numbers have all disappeared off of it so I eventually had to get another card. They also had a glitch in the system and nobody was receiving your money. And sometimes, you can't get through their contact number per se or they don't come back as quickly as you would want them to. But it's sporadic and the quality of what they do for it is good. It's been a great experience and I have recommended RushCard to different people.

    I've been using Rushcard since 2004. At first I just wanted the pink card. I have four children so I make sure all my children have cards so if my children are out, I am able to give money to them. And when I travel, I only use my prepaid card because if I'm traveling, sometimes my regular checking account gets cut off, thinking it's fraud. I also use RushCard to pay most of my bills online and so I also don't have to worry about any fraud. I use the direct deposit. My check goes there every two weeks.

    But there's a language barrier with their customer service reps. I feel they just have a script and they don't deviate from that so no matter what you say, that's what they're gonna say all the time. It's no way to be personable with it. They can't use the can-will-do attitude. They just do the can't, so I try not to call at all. I've referred RushCard to my nieces, nephews, and my sisters, basically all of my family so they all have it. If the children need something, they can always call and whoever gets the call can send it.

    The only thing I wish RushCard still had was the text to send money versus the log-in. That was really good. I loved when I could just send a text message and send money to my daughter. And also if I forget my password and I change it, I can't change it again for another 24 hours so I would be kinda stuck. And sometimes even if I know the password and something happens, sometimes it just doesn't take it correctly so I have to change it but it used to be “I could call and they could unlock it for me," but they can't do that anymore.

    I am dissatisfied with the customer care for RushCard members. I would think after the little settlement offered to us that you all would be up to date with how you handle the members of your company. I'm seeing some errors with the dollar amount in my account and I am unable to speak to anyone about this matter. I'm truly regretting even allowing my love ones to become members because when they have a problem with their RushCard they gonna blame me! RushCard need to get it together!!!     I have been using RushCard since 2007 and I have just experienced the worse customer service ever. They allowed someone to go into my account and do a card to transfer. One for $732 & $643. On top they charge me $30 to resend me another card back. I have yet received a dispute form nor my money. I have called for the last week since this occurred and have yet received my money back nor a new card to get access to my money. This was all my money I had to pay my rent and due to them let someone have access to my account me and my children will be left homeless.

    I am actually on hold with RushCard for the 5th time today while I am typing this and still no respond. The lady just told me that there hasn't been a dispute made and I called the same day I notice my money missing writing 10min of whomever did this card to card transfer. I will like to speak to someone higher in this company regarding this matter. My next step is I will be reaching out to a lawyer, social media, news, etc and them know what kind company they put running. If anyone can help me I will gladly appreciate it. Thank you.

    My experience has always been pretty painless with RushCard and it’s not too hard to put money on it. I like the fact that stuff’s coming a little early on it, including deposits, and transferring money to my wife and family members is pretty seamless. I've also used the cashing the check with the camera feature and the BillPay. And if I have an issue, I call them and it gets cleaned up pretty fast. I had a few minor issues where I got locked out of my account but they have always taken care of it in a timely fashion and made it as easy as possible. I have recommended RushCard to a few people and just got one for my oldest son who is 15 so in case of emergencies, I could always send him something if need be.

    I have been with RushCard for a few months. They were ok until I came upon a situation where I had to file a dispute. I ask beforehand if they were going to cancel my card because I needed to pay bills the next day when my direct deposit hit. He told me they won't. If they were to do so I would have waited to file my dispute. They canceled my card and I have had no money for a week. My card still has not came in the mail. And my bills could not get paid and some things were turned off. I'm dissatisfied with the fact they have no local branch where you can pick up a new card. Or at least let you transfer money. Instead you have to wait till your card comes in the mail with no absolute way to get money.

    I use RushCard by reloading money to pay my DTE. Anything I need I can go reload my money on the card and use it just like that. I don’t even have to carry the cash and I could keep it on the card. I use the direct deposit and reload locations but some stores give me a hard time because they’d say they won’t take the card. And then they try it again and they’ll take it. RushCard doesn’t give statements so I would have to call customer service to try to see how can I get it and dealing with them has been real good.

    The access to load my card has been awesome. I can do it anywhere like MoneyGram and the Western Union. I've had my Rushcard for 12 years now but I don't use it online because the turnaround time is too long. Also, I believe that once you've been with a company for a decade, you shouldn't be charged for each transaction. You deserve a little more leeway on behalf of being loyal customers. And with that, some type of loyalty program would be nice. Rushcard started getting people that don't speak English to answer the phone and my latest couple of interactions weren't so awesome. It's very hard when you're already frustrated because you got an issue that needs clarity and you call in but you can't even get past the customer service person because they don't understand what you're saying. But besides that, there hasn't been a problem that wasn't corrected.

    I have been a RushCard member since 2004. Unfortunately every time I have an issue, customer service has several layers of unnecessary red tape. I understand the need for policies and procedures, but all that I have experienced is overkill. When I attempt to explain my issue, they say they understand, but then do the opposite of what is needed. Recently, I used my RushCard for a hotel stay. There was an issue with my stay, so in good customer service, the charge was reversed and credited back to my account. When I contacted RushCard I was told that it could take 30 days for me to have my monies released or I could have the merchant provide a letter requesting to release the hold.

    The merchant was kind enough to take the time to complete the letter, faxed to RushCard and forwarded a copy to me for my records. Well after the General Manager made three attempts by fax, it was suggested by RushCard that I upload it to my online account and I did. Then I was asked to have the letter signed and resent, so I made the request to the GM and she happily obliged. Then after continuing to say that they did not receive the fax, they reviewed my uploaded copy and stated that they needed more information. I had never been told this before after speaking with several RushCard representatives. So I again asked the GM to take time out of her busy schedule (even interrupting her training class) to complete another letter to add information that wasn't previously requested and she again obliged.

    I explained to some of the representatives that I am a Diabetic with High Blood Pressure and I have been waiting to purchase my medication with my $112.00 credit on my card. I am a single parent with limited income and every dollar is accounted for and needed. After RushCard continuing to state that they didn't receive my fax, I had to again upload my copy only to be told that their corporate office tried to contact the hotel and could not get through, so they would not release my hold. At this point, I am in total shock from their claim that they could not reach a National Hotel that receives thousands of calls daily. I pleaded with the rep. to make another attempt and reach out to the hotel and to realize that I had complied with every request made and it feels like I am being treated unfairly.

    The last rep. asked that I call the hotel on a 3 way call and I did. She requested that the front desk clerk have her company take a block off of their business phone and send another letter so that they can call. The front desk clerk advised that since it was a business with a national account, she could not request that any block be removed so that they can discuss a reversed charge that they had already received validated documentation. So needless to say I continue to not have my money or my medication and after repeated requests made for account escalation.

    I also requested for supervisors to take charge and work through the unnecessary red tape to assist a long time customer. This is a total disregard for me and no value placed towards me as a customer that has made large deposits and has used this card countless times. I plan to discontinue my use and close my account and I would recommend that others look elsewhere to other similar companies that has better customer service and values their customers.

    I had money pending on my account. I was originally told that it would take 2 to 3 days to be put back. After 4 days of holding, they then tell me it'll take 10 days to release. The rep had me going back and forth from the merchant to RushCard rep. I had the manager of RushCard on the line and 3 way with the store merchant, and she hung up on us.

    Someone stole $140 off my card at food lion. I called Rush Card to dispute the transaction. They cancelled my card, didn't tell me. Then I get paid yesterday only to find out I can't use my card. Call Rush Card and I get the worst customer service ever. They sound like records that keep repeating itself. They wont put a supervisor on the phone. They told me I had to pay $30 to get express cash which takes 6 hours to process. I've been waiting and calling and everyone I talk to tells me it takes 6 business hours. Now that the 6 hours are over they are telling me it's something with the corporate office and I need to wait 6 hours. They keep trying to talk over me to repeat the same bs. And I still don't have my money.

    I hate Rush Card and will not ever refer them to anybody. I've been a member since 2008 and yes it's been other little stuff that has bothered me but never this bad. I guess I put up with it because I got paid on Tuesday instead of Friday. But I will be back Friday to pay asap. I'm so pissed off right now and hate I ever dealt with them in the 1st place. Don't ever use Rush Card.

    When I first started with Rushcard, I was going through a divorce. My ex-husband has all of my personal information and so I chose Rushcard. I had seen an infomercial about Rushcard 10 years ago. Ever since then, I chose to do my banking that way instead of doing it through a financial institution because I didn't know what information my ex had. He was opening up different accounts and things like that in my name. I went with Rushcard because he wouldn't know what prepaid card I was using.

    I liked the design of the pink Baby Phat card. RushCard has no hidden fees and it's just easy to do business with them. It's easy to track and monitor your transactions. You can also set up an alert to notify you over a certain dollar threshold. I've been having my RushCard for about 10 years and I've had a good experience except for this last year when they were doing some type of system updates. It was on three different occasions where I’ve loaded money onto my card and it didn't post to my card. I had to call it in a couple of times. It was really frustrating because of the high call volume. I guess I wasn't the only person that it happened to. One time, I did another Rushcard reload and it didn't post to the account again but at that time, it didn't have anything to do with system updates so I didn't why.

    That was my three experiences that I've had in the past 10 years, which is not bad for 10 years. However, when you're loading your funds on a card and that's all you have, then you have to wait 14 to 21 days for them to do research and get you your money back, that would be a problem. But during times when I had to get a password reset, I was able to get through them right away and they were able to walk me through the process.

    I've been with RushCard for quite some time now and it's been great! Until someone spent 744 dollars! I called and spoke to a rep that was Indian. I couldn't understand anything. They were saying I couldn't speak to a supervisor because there were none available! Mind you I called for about 4 days! Still no supervisor then I sent my documents in and they sent me a new card with the old numbers and they try to tell me that I gotta pay 30$ again! I'm totally pissed!     I have been with RushCard since 8/2012 and decided to use them for all financial transactions in 2016. First thing happened I received my tax refund and someone stole $1200 off my card. After 12 days I received my funds back and I still have not heard from investigation department. Then I recently tried to pay my medical license renewal which didn't go through but the money was available to pay. When calling to inquire about it I have been told several stories from RushCard when I will receive my funds and they are all different. It is going on 2 weeks and when I ask to speak to a manager none are available. I am shutting down this card and shredding it ASAP.

    My bills are paid on time when I use RushCard. We don’t have direct deposit where I work so I use the reload locations. You have to go through a lot to put money on their card. My mom has a RushCard and she stays out of town. They say sometimes you have to have the card. I send her money but if you’re sending somebody money, it’s on their card so you don’t have to necessarily have it. But they're like, “Oh, you have to have a card.” I don’t know if they changed their rules. So, I picked another route. I like Western Union now because I know I can fill out a paper form and they’re going to put the money on her card. Nevertheless, they have good customer service. The last time I called them, they provided whatever I needed and they asked if I needed any more help.

    My daughter said RushCard was nice and she would get her deposits a couple of days early so I went with it. I’ve been using it for three years and the mobile alert lets me know if any purchase is being made with my card as well as the ending balance so I’ll know how far I need to go. Every time I went to use my card, as long as my account is in good standing and there was money there, I never had a problem with it. I use the direct deposit more frequently, all I do is to get the bank their account and routing number. Once they have it, my checks go to my card so it was a plus.

    When I recently upgraded the type of card that I had, the customer service representative was pleasant. I was tired of the transaction fees because I don’t keep cash on me and I solely use my RushCard for all my purchases and stuff. I use the card more than I do withdrawing money and I noticed that sometimes I haven’t even spent a dollar but I have to pay a transaction fee. When I called to inquire about it, he told me about a plan where they take $45 a month and no matter how many times I swipe that card, I don’t see those transaction fees. They’re automatically taken care of. I don’t have the transaction freeze now because of that. He was very thorough about it. He made sure I understood exactly when it would start and how it would go. Every time I call RushCard, I always get somebody that’s going to assist me.

    I had a problem one time with a charge I wasn’t aware of and they worked with me. They made sure that they got my money back on the card and they were able to access my account. I was not able to do it. Also, there was one particular time when the deposit was late. I know it’s man-made so there’s going to be glitches every now and again. But it was happening at a time when we had just gone through a storm here in Louisiana and we really needed funds because I hadn’t had light in a couple of days. That was the only time I ever had an issue but I understood what was going on and they made it right for me.

    Recently RushCard sent me a check due to what I lost when we had that flood and our cards didn’t work in Louisiana. That let me know that they did care. My interactions with their customer service rep is always good. I've never had one where I felt like I was not treated fairly. I've always been respected. And they try their best to make me happy every time. I have recommended people and I’ll pass the information on to anybody that needed to switch to something better.

    I called RushCard in April of 2017 to file a dispute. I did that by filling out the dispute forms & uploading them to the RushCard email for disputes which I filed April 7, 2017. They didn't receive the forms until April 18th & few people told me I would receive provisional credit in 10 days which would've been the 2nd or 4th of may.

    Now they blocked the new card they had sent me ending in ** but I disputed my card ending in **, won't give me an explanation why my card was suspended & that they won't tell me why the account was closed I've disputed. It's confidential my **! They can't tell me anything but I was the one that disputed it! They are a fraudulent company and I never want to deal with them anymore. Don't ever say to somebody they will receive provisional credit on a certain day & then close the case & say you will NOT be granted credit!... ** I outta here! RushCard sucks! Russell Simmons, I thought you knew how to handle your business but I guess not!

    I’ve had Rushcard since 2004. I’ve had some difficulties with them at the beginning. The process was very inconvenient for me when I had to make a big purchase. I was trying to purchase a used automobile. I wanted to pay for it and I was unable to make the full payment and I had to do it in intervals every day while I was on vacation. I wanted to purchase it before I left but that was not possible because of the limitation put on me. I got ran around all over the place trying to get this transaction done. Sometimes when I would go on the telephone to inquire about something, they would give me a whole different name that wasn't even on my account. Then the other day, I was trying to do something with the Rushcard and they told me I had several accounts and that they couldn't match my address to my Rushcard. But, so far, some of my experience has been okay.

    I do a lot of internet shopping so I a few pre-paid debit card. I saw a commercial for RushCard so I ordered one. I loaded $20 just to go ahead and activate it. RushCard gets $9.95 off the top. So when I applied for the card online, it didn't give me an option to put in my promo code. So I called. I don't know how I got a number to get to an actual human. But finally after me continuously going through this automated service I googled myself upon a number that allowed me to talk to someone. I had a promo code for $50. But I must didn't read the fine print. It was $25 upon activation and $25 for direct deposit.

    DIDN'T KNOW THAT!!! OK so $25 within 24hrs. Cool. The money was deposited. So now about this $1 transaction fee. I used my card on a DAILY BASIS so this would not be a good card for me. So out of the money I loaded and the $25 promo RushCard got $14.95. After reading quite a few direct deposit reviews I'm a little hesitant about doing so. So I won't be getting the other half of my promo. Great idea. But who is winning here? Oh and it took $4.95 to load it at the Family Dollar!!! The Pause Button is good though.

Recently, they've increased to 30 minutes and just last night it took about 3 hours.     Although I have not received any statement from Rush Card, after 60 days the bank where my funds were withdrawn from returned my stolen funds.
    My advice to ALL, although Rush Card customer service assures you all will be fine and an initial investigation will take place in their part and "you don't have to file a police report" ... FILE A POLICE REPORT!
    I did. But only after 10 days, when I was told by Rush Card no error was found in my account and funds would not be returned. Those were heart wrenching words, at the time. It took 2 months, but I am so grateful to NYPD, the investigators that looked into my case and to the bank for returning my money. This ordeal really caused me much stress and truly set me back.

    If you experience an unfortunate event such as mine, "FILE A report" so a proper investigation will take place!

    On 04/23/17 someone was somehow able to get into my account and withdraw $480 from my account while I was home and my card in my possession. I called Rushcard the moment I noticed the text of the transaction. I faxed, uploaded into my acct and emailed the dispute form as instructed. I was told not to worry, that the Rushcard team would handle the investigation and that I should receive a provisional credit within 5-10 days. On 05/06 I received an email requesting I call only to be told that the investigation concluded no error in my account therefore no money will be returned to me. No credit granted. $483! Gone??

    I was asked to send a rebuttal letter which I have but at this point I am feeling hopeless and broke. I have been a member for 13 years, and was content with Rushcard until this experience. I never imagined this would happen. Nor that my service and loyalty to Rushcard would be dismissed in this way. What am I suppose to do now! Their customer service could only apologize for my loss and said there is no more they can do!! Why bank with Rushcard/MetaBank if you are not secure?

    1. We advise Visa of the fraud.
    2. Visa advises the merchant.
    3. The merchant investigates and, if possible, sends back the signed sales slip to Visa.

    4. Visa then returns the merchant's response to us for further investigation.

    *If we do not get a response from the merchant, your card will be credited. However, the merchant must have ample time to respond, which is why the process can take up to 90 days to resolve.

    I’ve had RushCard for four years. I wanted to have something different from my bank cards. So, if I didn't want to give out my bank information, I could use that in turn. With it, I can pay bills and cellphone line as if I’m using actual credit on my debit card. I just enter in the same personal information, and then, it's either approved or declined. But they need a savings account so when you direct deposit, some money can go directly into that. The overall experience has been very good, except some time in '16 when the system crashed and some people weren't able to get their direct deposit. And I, unfortunately, was one of those and I didn't get my funds for a week. I’ve also had to speak with them a lot and the language barrier is very hard.

    They put a hold on my card without any notification because Papa John's attempted to process a payment. When I called about it, the rep Maria couldn't understand basic sentences. I escalated the issue because I couldn't access my paycheck and Jose refused to admit they dropped the ball and made a mistake. He informed me I had to replace the card. They couldn't remove the hold. They charged me $30 to expedite a card they cancelled in the first place and refused to waive the fee.

    When I asked to escalate the issue further because he refused to listen to me, he told me I would have to call back because they did not have any managers working. I asked for their employee numbers for my records so that I had something to reference who I spoke to. Jose gave me the exact same number twice and when I asked about that he said he couldn't give me anybody's personal info. I'm officially DONE with RushCard.     The higher ups at RushCard Corp should be ashamed of themselves! My boyfriend has been with this company for over 5 years and never had an issue. Friday he lost his card and like before when he lost his card, he requested a new one be sent expedited. To my knowledge the extra fee for that is 30 dollars. It is now Monday, no card and when he called to talk to someone they gave false information. I called back from MY phone and demanded to speak to a supervisor. Once again we were told a supervisor was not available. Once I started yelling and stating I would put in a complaint to ConsumerAffairs, miraculously a supervisor got on the phone. He stated his name was Frank, would not give his ID number nor last name. Frank stated that the card would be delivered Tuesday and when we requested a tracking number FOR THE SEVENTH TIME he would not provide it.

    I have been telling my boyfriend that this company is HORRIBLE and has nothing but bad reviews. Today he saw exactly what I've been saying. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do not speak English, read off of computers and are beyond ignorant. He is definitely taking his funds out of this garbage company and going somewhere else!

    I want to complain about a pending charge on my card. RushCard has been holding and refusing to release even though Amazon says they never charged and was holding. Customer service says they have to hold for 10 days. That's crazy. I even gave him a settlement code. Horrible customer service and no real access to complain. Closing account after this and considering a lawsuit. Run away from RushCard.

    I have the card for a year and it is the biggest one that I have done. First someone uses my card without my authorization and the transactions were pending when I found out but they said they could not do anything about it. I made a police report and send it to them and they told me I was going to get a credit on the card which never happens. Instead they want me to wait till July so "they can investigate" and decide if I am getting my money.

    I have contracted RushCard customers 4 times over the past 24 hours regarding my funds and I keep getting the runaround. I am showing that my funds were loaded, I have a balance but I am not able to access my money. I was told to wait for 1-3 hours, then 3-4 hours, then 5-6 hours then finally 24-48 hours because they are having a problem with the wire transfers. I understand these things can happen but I've given them way too many chances so third time is a charm. Once I get my funds I think it's time to part ways. I like having a prepaid card to pay bills online but I can no longer risk not having my money in my account when it's supposed to be.

The timing of your funds being uploaded is dependent on when the funds are sent over so as long as they are received in time, we can upload them two days early but if not, it will delay the timing.     I have been with Rushcard now for 1 year and it's awful!!! They will charge you $50 dollars for pumping gas at a gas station and not refund the hold back to the card. I ordered a pizza for $30.00 dollars and RushCard charged it for $36.00 dollars??? Why the hell did they take my money!!! I called customer service and they said it will be refunded and never refunded my money. RushCard is sneaky as hell! They don't think that you monitor your transactions and that's how they steal from you. Kimora and Russel are thieves and **.

To be enrolled in direct deposit you must provide the form to your employer to set up the direct deposit to your RushCard. Unfortunately an agent cannot do that for you.     On my Rush app it shows my card 1st. My card said it has 1.61 on it now. When you bypass the card it shows that my direct deposit has been posted but the money on my card don't match the posted money in my acct. Now I talked to a representative. He did an okay job but when I asked for a supervisor he had me on hold for 10 mins then it sound like he just transferred me over. I was on hold for 20 mins. He never checked back in with me or anything. Then I had to call back to be told that there was no supervisor in at the moment. I'm irritated that RushCard let this happen and I've been very loyal since 2012. I felt very unappreciated to have been a "valued customer".

    I would like to say I like RushCard and I have been a member since 2005. I love how you get your $$$ days or a week early. I do appreciate that. The thing I don't like is y'all teamed up with Ingo and they charge $5 to get your $$$ in mins and it's free if you wait 10 days. That makes no sense to me but it seems like if your check is over $300 or more they charge $10/$20 to cash your check. Why is that? And that's a lot. Don't get me wrong. I know everybody has to make their $$$ but that's just too much to cash a check and it use to cost $3.95 to load your $$$ on your card. When did it go up $1? I hope that don't up anymore.

    My payday is on Fridays every week. I woke up Friday to no deposit. I talked to Customer service several times on Friday. They kept telling me that my employer had not sent my deposit to them. I contacted my employer and they informed me that they had in fact sent my payment like they had every week with no problem. They even emailed me a verification of my direct deposit number. Called CS again and they told me to wait until later that it might come.

    This has happened to me before and I didn't receive my payment until Monday. Last time I experienced this it was around the first of the month. I have noticed that this time it was around the first of the month. I'm so sick of RushCard. I have been a customer since 2012. I would not recommend this card to anyone. It is so frustrating to have a paycheck that you worked hard for not be in your account on your payday. As soon as I receive my deposit I will be shredding this card and NEVER looking back. I am furious! I wish I could have given a half star!

    I have had 5 card though Rushcard and they have close all of my cards. And when I call they tell me that back office close my card. They tell me they will email back office and they will contact me. But no one has contact me. I feel that there is no back office. I feel Rushcard are liars. And I even tried to get another card they tell me to send information and I sent information and they tell me that they don't have it even when I send it to the fax number they give online. I am very unhappy with them.

    With RushCard, I get paid two days earlier. I've also been able to use it for paying bills or buying online and it's convenient. Also, I use the direct deposit option and it's easy. But I had to call them before to fix purchases that I didn't make that they approved and I was upset because it took a long time. Their people weren't knowledgeable because they couldn't understand what I was trying to tell them. I explained to them that I did not authorize the transaction and I should not have been taken out my money. And instead of believing me, they believed the people that took it out so, I had to fight for that and instead of immediately putting my money back, I had to wait for almost two weeks. I had to go through too much but I eventually got it back, 10 days later on the bill short.

    Good thing I'm not an unlucky individual and have to bank with these idiots. But I have made the choice to use them as an card I use for shopping online instead of PayPal simply because you can transfer money from card to card. It's suppose to be great and easy. Wrong. You idiots are keeping my money pending to an purchase I canceled over 5 days ago. I called to speak with an mgr to have it released (never got them by the way) and I'm told, "Oh it takes 10 days" by the rep. I explained to the woman your websites says otherwise only to be told to wait til today around the same time. Guess what it still not here. But that's perfectly fine. When I get my money I'm pulling everything the ** off this card and switching back to PayPal. Hell, even PayPal refunds the amount to your card within less than 5 days.

    Been a RushCard member since 2016. Signed up due to 50 dollar promo. It’s April 2017 and I still have not gotten my free 50 dollars for reloading or direct deposit. Called twice and told I qualify and a email will be sent to corporate. 30 days later still nothing so I called back. Was told the same thing and when I asked go speak to a supervisor during norm business hours they told me none was available! I have my paycheck deposited into my account every week and to tell me no supervisors are available is not reassuring at all when it comes to my money.

    I had enrolled direct deposit just recently. My employer had turn in the form the day before I got paid and told me most banks usually wait 72 hours.     Hello Maki. Once your employer returns your direct deposit form, it can take up to two pay periods for you to begin receiving your paycheck to your RushCard. In the event you do not receive your funds, you will want to go back to your employer and request a paper check so you still have your money. Once the deposit information is connect, you will begin to receive you pay up to 2 days early dependent on when the deposit file is sent.     I called and asked about a charge on my card, the operator said I should file a dispute, so I said OK. What he didn't tell me is that my card would be put on hold and I would need to receive a new card. I told him I didn't want to do that but he said it was too late. All my money is on that card, it has been 7 days and I still haven't received my card. When I called and asked them what I should do for $ they told me to borrow it from someone. When I asked them what is taking so long to deliver this card to me considering I live in the same state, they couldn't answer my question because the supervisor informed me they are in MANILA!!! They had no idea where Ohio was.

    No one will answer my emails and the ones that do answer my calls speak horrible broken English and do not understand English too well... When they can't understand what I'm saying I could tell they have a sheet of answers to read off of word for word. Moral of the story, they are holding my money hostage, no one can answer my questions, my replacement card is late. Huge rip-off. All my money was on that card and I haven't been able to touch it for 8 days now. And the charge I wanted to dispute, they told me to contact that company and take care of it myself, even though on their website one of their selling points is that RushCard and VISA will take care of it. That company is a joke.

    It pains me to write this review but I feel compelled to do so on behalf of our citizens who do not have access to traditional banking services. I have been using RushCard services for roughly 5 years or more. In the beginning, I was very pleased that I had access to my paycheck two days before my actual payday. I was also very please back then when I called or inquired concerning incorrect transactions or what I deemed as errors on my account. I actually got to speak with a human being and resolved my inquiry quickly and with much satisfaction.

    Recently, contacting customer support has been a complete nightmare. When calling there's no instructions or menu number to get a human being. In the last two years, RushCard has had several upgrades to their online services and their actual financial in-house production applications. This has caused many headaches for me and I am sure thousands of customers.

    I find it alarming that Russell Simmons would agree to have piss poor customer services associated with his name. After all, the whole point of a RushCard is to provide services to those that cannot or are not eligible for traditional financial services. When dealing with a customer base that probably is mostly minority, one of the most important services they need are real HUMAN SERVICES and a not another telephone service that pretty much sends them on a wild goose chase. This, of course, displays that the leadership at RushCard doesn't really have their customer's concerns at heart.

    Horrible service. Been with them since 2009 last year. I had to do a dispute because they took money off my card. They did not refund my money. Then this year somebody stole my card number or something and took 1469.00 off of my card and see I can't take that list. I sent in verification saying I was out of town around the time my money was tooling off my card but RushCard just keep saying they don't see no errors while clearly I see a lot of errors that happened. I refuse to let them just set my case to the side and lose my money. I would not recommend them to nobody. I talked to the people in customer service that can't tell me nothing. I talked to supervisor. He would not give me his name or nothing. I am very furious with company and I'm going to the news and the BBB and I need some explanation.

    1. We advise Visa of the fraud.
    2. Visa advises the merchant.

    4. Visa then returns the merchant's response to us for further investigation.

    Should the merchant not respond in a timely manner or at all, your card will be credited.     AREAS THAT NEED IMPROVEMENT: In order to actually receive help by a live representative takes way too much effort on the customer's end. I don't want to have to search Google, Bing, Facebook, and Forum posts to find a number that actually connects... If I press 0000 during an automated call I want a representative on the line because I am done dealing with automated robots. If I input the wrong code more than twice I should NOT be hung up on. RIDICULOUS!!

    The transfer fee for card to card needs to go... $0.99 is ridiculous especially when it takes nearly half an hour for the other person to even receive the funds. Netspend is INSTANT and FREE!!! Charging a card fee of $3.95 is a little ridiculous when there are so many other options of prepaid debit cards to go with instead. Why would I pay $3.95 for your card when another card exactly like it will give it to me for free?

    AREAS THAT ARE RIGHT ON THE MONEY: I love the fact that you can withdraw your money from almost any MoneyPass ATM without paying any fee whatsoever. AMAZING!! I LOVE the refer a friend reward. I love the concept and also love that the reward pays out within minutes of a referral activating a new card and depositing. GREAT!! $30 free gets me motivated!!

I had a problem twice with a problem with a charge on my account and all I wanted was for them to cancel the charge and put the money back in my account but you have to go through so much and it takes a long time.     When I first started with RushCard I use to get my deposit up to 2 days early. Now I get it a few hours before pay day. I use to love it because I use to pay my bills before due date. Also to load the card with MoneyPak they say fast and easy. It's a lie. Before they asked for no ID. Now you upload your ID and have to wait up to 2 days for they can fund your card.     I’ve had RushCard for a long time. However, there was one big fiasco that everybody knows about because it’s all over the news where direct deposit was there, but some people were affected and some were not. But just recently me and my family had this engagement planned. I went to the store wherein I had to buy another pair of pants. I went in the store and they had this Rush Gold thing where customers can put money to the side to save it for later use. So as a safe and security mechanism, when I got my direct deposit, I transferred all my funds to the Rush Gold account. If I lose my card or if it’s stolen, the person cannot get access to my funds. So, every time I get to do something, I would transfer the money to one of the cards.

    However, when I went to go transfer, the transfer was failing. They told me when I finally talked to them on the phone that the money is there but it did not go through and that I have to wait two hours to access it again. I was furious. The rep said they’re doing some maintenance work on their system. I went off on her and told her that somebody needs to fix it because the money came out of the Rush Gold’s account, but it did not go on to the card, so it was hanging in the mid-air, but she said that the money will be back. I work in customer service and we get updates through our system constantly, but we always get a warning. And the maintenance always occurs in the middle of the night and never in the middle of the day. That’s how most banks do their update so that’s just common sense.

    I like the color of the pink Baby Phat RushCard, so that's what I ordered. Ruschcard's best benefit is that I'm getting paid two days sooner. It's really convenient to use it to make online purchases or pay bills online. I use the direct deposit more frequently because sometimes I can't find the reload location. Although it's not far, their system isn't working in some of the places, so I just deal with the direct deposit. Last year, they had to hold people's money because something was wrong with the system. But besides that, they've been pretty good for me.

    Hotel had a hold on my funds, when I checked out they charged my card for the total amount and released the authorization. RushCard refuses to release their hold even though hotel charge has already cleared my account. It's been days of emails, calls, and faxes and I still have not had my money released by RushCard. In order for these authorization holds to be released we need verification from the merchant. This verification needs to be in the form of a merchant hold release letter. The merchant hold release letter must be on company letter head and include your name, last four digits of card, amount of the transaction(s), date and time of transaction(s), why the transaction(s) needs to be released, and contact information (name and direct number) for the person sending the fax. Once that is received, we can move further with releasing your funds. If the merchant does not provide a letter, the hold will fall back to the account in up to 35 days. If a letter has already been sent it can take 1-2 business days for the fax to be received. Thank you.

    My fault, I lost my RushCard accidentally. It happens and well that is where the fiasco begins. Try to get a replacement from Rushcard through the New Delhi call center that is used for this business. How many of us remember the CVV number from any credit card we use, not many of us. I have 3 paychecks tied up with trying to get a replacement card, I have faxed specific requested items 4 times and was told it will take anywhere between 6 hours and 24 to 48 hours for the items to be verified. Then I was told that the fax machine was not operating and I need to login into my account to send them the forms for a 5th time. I never, ever realized how difficult it would be to get a replacement card from this company. DO NOT USE THEM, THEY ARE NO GOOD. Heed my warning and stay away. After 3 weeks of legitimate effort and literally HOURS on the phone, I still have not received a replacement card to get to MY money.

    I have been a customer of Rush since August 2008, and they have very incompetent customer service representative. As of 2016 they sent my card out to the wrong address and tried to put the blame on me as if I didn't update my address. I called over 50 times and spoke several different representatives, each time I got a different answer with no resolution. I asked for a corporate call back and never got a call about this issue. They wouldn't give me my same card number back that I had for 8 years, attached to all my billers. They sent me another card without my consent. After going back and forth with them for months I said forget, so as of this month I had been trying to transfer funds from my card to my husband card and got exceeded transfer limit.

    I called as of 4/5/17 and spoke to a rep & course I were told no worries that I had not exceeded my limit and to give it about 30 minutes to an hours from a computer. So I did and got the same results. Keep in mind I am trying to pay my rent by 12am central time to avoid a late fee of $50. I called back and got another rep only to hear that I had exceeded and so I asked for a supervisor and spoke with Joseph (opid# **) and I asked him "because your agent gave wrong info who's going to compensate me my $50 late fee," so he goes to tell me that they don't do that so I ask for someone over him and he tells there is no one and if I wanted another supervisor to hang up and call back and let another rep transfer. After I started to curse him for talking to me like I was slow he tells me there were no other supervisor on the shift and the next one would come in at 6am central time.

    Rush really need to hire English speaking people and those that know their job. This company is only good for getting paid early. There have been time where I reached out to Russell Simmons via Instagram, no response, I'm still waiting. I've never with such a company in my life, especially when they don't have a higher escalation team or person you can speak to. I have had several incidents with the company and have yet to get a proper call back to address any of my issues. If we all come together and stop sending our money to them they would be out of business.

    SUGGESTIONS: More affiliated ATM machines... I shouldn't have to pay Rush and the other fees associated with the ATM owners as well. So a normal transaction at the ATM cost me about 6 bucks and that's way too much every transaction. Also Rush is charging 6 dollars a month for using the card. Monthly fee is ridiculous on top of the ATM issue.

    I lost my card and had a replacement sent to me. Once I received the card I attempted to activate the card via app over the phone and the website and all were unsuccessful. I began calling customer service in an attempt to get the card activated and over the course of several days received several different reasons why the card wouldn't activate. I was transferred from rep to rep to rep and still my was not activated. After a week of speaking to reps I asked to speak to a supervisor and he gave me another story and said it would be activated after sends. Manual request for activation but because it was late Friday evening it would take till Monday.

    Monday get here and still no card activation. I call and speak to another supervisor and he says the other supervisor was wrong and it takes a minimum of 2 business days so I'd have to wait to Tuesday. And, again Tuesday comes and no activation. I speak with a third supervisor and she does something called some people sent an email. I was assured that it would be activated and it was. What was just as aggravating is that I had to be "verified" every time they transferred me and thanking me for being a customer since 2006 takes more time than just answering my questions or concerns. I am going to discontinue my service with RushCard because not only is your customer service sub par but your card is not accepted in all places i.e. US Postal Service.

    I've been a RushCard member for 9 years and I've always been pleased with the service that I get! I love the fact that the money is deposited earlier than the normal day of pay and also love the fact that we now can deposit checks by phone or tablets! Keep up the good work RushCard!!

    Getting new card -- The young lady was very helpful, despite over 2 months of emails, with each one, upset me. Age was very helpful and made dealing with this situation much more bearable. I pray you give her a raise. Thank you RushCard. I am very happy. I pray others are happy too.
