    I've been a RushCard customer for the past 5+ years and when they say your paycheck will be in your account within two days that's what they mean. But for the past two months it's been coming a day before payday or sometimes on payday. It's getting to the point I'm ready to move on and find another company. I don't want to leave but if it gets better and goes back to the way it was I will leave a positive review.

    I can't get thru to customer service. My check is normally loaded by now. I have bills due today and no one will answer the phone at Rush. It just keeps hanging up. My worst experience ever with Rush. Strongly considering finding another company to deal with my hard earned money.

    I am a RushCard member. I had to change my identity because the system won't allow me to log in using my real identity. Every time I log into the RushCard system, my login and password is incorrect. After I change my password, perform a transaction, then the next day or two try to use the password again, that password comes up as incorrect. Then the system blocks me so I cannot get into it until a customer service person unblocks me. That is cumbersome because waiting for a CSR person to get on the phone is frustrating. The waits are long. There is no help desk department or anyone that customers can call when there are problems other than the customer service people who don't speak English well (to understand the issue) and don't know anything about a help desk. This is unacceptable for a large business that is dealing with people's money.

    The advertisement for RushCard says that it is a 24/7 company, but customer service closes at midnight CST. I am looking for another company that is similar to RushCard but that is better than RushCard. We don't need to be frustrated trying to get access to our own money. While typing this comment, I finally got a customer service person on the phone. They unlocked my account so I can now get into it. I told her the problem and she said something that doesn't make sense. She said that after I log out of the RushCard clear my cookies in the browser because my home computer DOESN'T RECOGNIZE my new password. QUESTION: What do you call a company that is flying by the seat of their pants? ANSWER: Out of business.

    I have been a Rush customer for over 3 years. Everything was fine until this new bank took over. No getting my direct deposit in two days. This is my last deposit with this card, I rather use my checking account from now on. If I were you I would not do business with them until they change the bank they are using.

    I am a Civilian Employee who utilizes an military benefit from their Payroll system (DFAS) under Allotments, where you can set up deposits to bank accts, payment plans, mortgages as long as you have the routing number and account number. It really was catered for Military - active duty. So I set up an allotment through DFAS only to have the check returned because it did not have my spouse's name on it. At the same time we were both verified over the phone. The dfas allotment system does not ask for names and is made that way because it does not matter. Now I'm told I have to wait 5 work days till it arrives back to my payroll. I'm devastated and disappointed in RUSH for not assisting me better. The consequence is just as any other family who had bill deadlines, including insurance and now will be behind and my husband has travel expenses, those are the consequences!

    Ok, so I have been with RushCard for many years and never had a problem until yesterday, July 28, 2015. I went to Wal-Mart here in town and made a purchase in the amount of $358.40 with a cashback amount of $100, bringing the total to $458.40. As my card ran through Wal-Mart's system there was a Host timeout, meaning that something happened on RushCard's end. Three times this happened so the cashier aborted and cancelled the transaction. After the transaction was cancelled, Rushcard proceeded to withdraw the sum of $458.40 off of my card. When I called to get the issue resolved, they told me that Wal-Mart needed to fax over some information to "release" my money back to me.

    After the manager did so, the supervisor for RushCard proceeded to tell me that there is nothing they could do, that I have to wait 10 days to get MY money back. I would not recommend RushCard to anyone after this situation. Especially when the mistake was on their end and not by any way my fault or Wal-Mart's. Why have I not gotten my money back yet. I have also emailed them about the situation at hand and have heard nothing from them. I am a single mom of two and that's my bill money they have.

    I've been a customer and cardholder for more than 5 years now, and I have enjoyed the upgrades and improvements that they've made over the years. Everyone in my family has a RushCard because I've recommended it. This is the easiest, most convenient way to send money.     Bank of America cash advance on 07-21-2015. This transaction had a host error and didn't go through so I got no money. The teller manager got verification that it was pending on my account so she called, spoke to a manager at Rush. Was told she must fax a letter to Rush with specific info and the charge would be removed from any status on my account. She did exactly that and as of today 07/28/2015, it is still pending. After several calls, faxes, attempted to release - no results (concerned client).

    This is the 6th time I have been locked out of my on-line account and the 3rd time I have been declined when trying to load money to my card. The service has been good up until the last 2 months. I've been a customer for 3 yrs or so. Never any problem. I'm so disappointed. I love the easy load. Checking my account on-line. Customer service has always been quick and courteous if there was a problem. Now customer service hangs up. I waited 13 min on hold, someone picked up the phone and hung up on me twice. I'm sorry to say I need to find another service ASAP. This is unacceptable.

    I have been a card holder since the first year RushCard started. I really enjoy receiving my pay two days early but I am very disappointed in the fact this card is not recognized by some retail stores as an automated payment for credit. It is very frustrated when your entire paycheck is deposited without any delays but can't be use to obtain credit or rent a rental car. I still use it just to get pay two days earlier but that's the only reason.

    Updated on 07/30/2015: I was sent an email from RushCard to do a review on Consumer Affairs on July 24, 2015. I stated that I enjoy the card and have been a cardholder since the first card was issue but only had one problem, I could not rent a car or open credit with it. Someone contacted me about solving this issue on July 29, 2015. The same day that my direct deposit supposed to hit my account. But it did not and now my online account is blocked. Is this a result of my complaining about the card. I don't know cause I can't get a person on the phone without being disconnected.

    July 1st 2015, I made a charge at Aldi's grocery store and was charged 3 times for the amount of $79.20. First Data who processes charges sent 2 reversal within seconds of the charges to make sure they were reversed back to my card. I contacted my RushCard customer service and advised them of what happened and that there were 2 reversals made right after the mistake took place. Was told no problem the funds were put into pending, all 3 charges of $79.20 and they would be considered as a refund and the money would leave pending and be returned to my acct in 3 to 5 business days. On July 10th when I went into my acct. online to see if the money had been put back in my acct. as I was told it would be, I found not only was the money not in my acct, it showed they paid it 3 times. Customer service agents I talked to that day all had a different story to tell me about the payments.

    One agent took the time to look into my concerns and stated he did see the 2 reversals in my acct records. He was the 3rd or 4th agent I had talked to and was the only one who took my concerns serious. I was then informed I would have to file a dispute with the dispute dept because as of July 3rd they did make 3 payments of $79.20 to Aldi's. I went back to Aldi's who contacted First Data to ask about these payments and was told there was only one payment received on Aldi's behalf in the amount of $79.20 and that their records show there were 2 reversals sent July 1st cancelling the other 2 charges. While at Aldi's with the regional Supervisor, we called customer service to let them know that they did not receive 3 payments as RushCard is claiming.

    We were transferred to the supervisor in customer service who told both of us that the money could still be put into my acct by 5:00pm as I was originally told it would be. The regional supervisor from Aldi's (Kim) asked him point blank why was he lying to me that he knew banks did their routing in the morning and if it wasn't there now it would not be there at 5:00. He promised to look into the matter and get back to me by 5:00pm which he never did. When I called customer service back I was given a runaround and finally got an agent who informed me that I would have to file a dispute over the overpayment and was transferred to the dispute dept where I was told the agent’s name was Paul, that he would be emailing me the forms to sign and I would get them in 3 hours and that he had already sent them to my email address.

    I told him if he sent them as he claims it would not take 3 hours to get to my email. I went to my email address expecting to find the email he sent but there wasn't one there. I went to my RushCard acct online and found copies of the card error allegation forms and printed them out so I could sign them and fax them back to them as I was told to do so. When I looked at the forms they were filled in with the wrong facts which I took the time to correct. This was on a Friday and I believed they would be closed for the weekend so I faxed the forms back July 12th with all the correct information and kept the receipt from that fax stating it was received by them.

    When I called after I got back to make sure that Paul received them personally so he could speed up the process, no one knew anyone by the name Paul so I was now talking to a different agent in the dispute dept who took the time to look into my claim and explained to me that yes they had received the fax and it was in the hands of the processor and I would hear from them within 10 business days and apologized to me for all the problems I had with customer service dept.

    And when I asked him what proof did I have that they even made the 3 payments, he told me the proof was the posting that showed up on my acct online. I told him there had to be something they could show me to show when they made the payments and to whom they were sent to. He told me they did not have anything like that, the posting was all the proof they had. I went back to Aldi's to tell them that the bill was paid all 3 times by RushCard. She contacted First Data again while I was there and again was informed only 1 payment of $79.20 had been received. After I left and returned home, Kim, Aldi's regional manager called me saying she had RushCard dispute on the phone and they would not release any information to her without me being present so while she was changing the call to a 3 way call so I could be present and hopefully get this matter corrected we were disconnected.

    When we called back customer service refused to connect us back with the dispute dept even though we explained we were on the phone with them and had gotten disconnected. They still refused to transfer our call. Kim stated to the agent who she was and the reason for the call and was still told no. At that time we asked her for her name which she would only give us her first name. Kim asked her for her ID # which she stated was ** and we asked her to talk to her supervisor. This call has already had us on hold off and on for over 45 minutes. After being put back on hold for 15 more minutes she comes back on the phone and tells us the supervisor has refused to take our call, and was there anything else she could help us with!!

    We asked her for the supervisor’s name and was given Maria and only Maria, no last name or ID# because she stated it was against policy to give that information out, and Kim and myself ended the 3 way call. We tried to call back and maybe get an agent who would help us to no success. They too refused to transfer our call. The only means I had to contact the dispute dept was to send them another fax and ask them to please get in contact with me and let me know what was being done to correct this mistake which I faxed after the 10 business days had passed and I hadn't heard from them like I was told I would be.

    I am now submitting this review to you because I have no other way I know of to have this problem taken care of. I am still as of 7/28/15 still without my $158.40 overpayment they made back in my account. I do not know what else I can do besides see an attorney and sue them. I am hoping you will be able to help me with this problem. And I would not recommend RushCard to anyone because of their service issues.

    I called to ask if the credit that I was expecting had gotten to my account yet. Well, the representative told me that not only had the credit not been returned, the company charged me an additional 50/00 dollars and she did not know what it was for.     My experience with RushCard is one of the best. I was never too keen with having a debit or credit cards.     On July 14, 2015 I contacted RushCard customer support to have my card replaced because I lost it. I asked if they could set up my direct deposit on the replacement card being shipped. Seemed pretty easy and they made it seem as if it was a piece of cake to process my request. I didn't fully trust that they provided me with the correct direct deposit information for my employer. Turns out they did not and I was provided with a SECOND direct deposit document to provide to my employer. I was told that I would receive my card within 7-10 business days. I was surprised to see that I had my funds transferred to me by direct deposit earlier than two pay periods.

    Then it turned into a nightmare when I realized that they transferred my funds to an expired RushCard no longer in use. I contacted Customer Support and they could not transfer my funds to my new card because the old card was expired. I was told that they could ship a replacement card which would take another 7-10 business days or expedite ship a card within 1-2 business days and I would not receive my card until either Friday or Monday. And I would have to pay $30 from my money that they can't transfer.

    The customer support reps are outsourced to the Philippines, do not understand English, and pretend to speak in American accents to cover that they are not in the States. I was transferred to a customer support supervisor who was rude and not compassionate to my situation since I have $100's of dollars on hold due to a mistake on their end. The support manager would not help me in any way and tried to match my anger with anger and hung up on me. I was talking to support for over 90 minutes due to being on hold excessively. RushCard support in the Philippines destroyed my weekend and my trust in them to get anything done. They speak terrible English. Deceiving information to make it seem as if they care. Misleading information. Russell Simmons, can you please bring your customer support back to the United States of America?

    For the last few months I have had the worse experience with this card and especially the service. Numerous times I have been hung up on by reps who didn't know their job, or who placed me on hold for so long that I hung up. On 7/11 starting at 8:15 am I even had a rep attempt to force me off the phone telling me she will handle my issue once I released the call. Because I have been a customer service manager for so long I know how CSR works. And plus I know the procedure for RushCard better than some of the reps. With releasing a hold you are supposed to contact the merchant with the customer on the line. And she tells me she will call when I hung up and fix it on her time. What type of customer service is that?

    The hold time is ridiculous. I'm on the phone right now, currently working with a rep that has placed me on hold for 20 mins and the call time speaking with him was only 5 mins and the total length of this call is 43 mins, and the rest was holding for a rep to pick up. Regardless of why I use this card I have been a customer for almost 5 years if not longer than that. The service gets worse every year. I've been in 3 breech situations and 2 card stolen and replaced. I'm at the end with RushCard. Still on hold 45 min call and still no assistance. Every time I call I speak to 2 or 3 reps because there is no consistency in the policy. Last time I actually needed to handle a serious issue with my card I had to speak with 3 reps and 2 managers for 2 hrs straight. And the issue still was not resolved until I called back 10 days later.

    I no longer want to be a supporter or customer with RushCard. I have paid enough fees to a company that service is horrible. I have burned enough battery in my phone that will light up Vegas strip from being on hold. This is the worse. Currently still on hold 50 mins now for call time. How is this possible? The benefits aren't that's perfect to deal with this. Word of mouth is the best free advertising and trust the things I have been through with your reps. I will spread the truth. A valued customer no longer exist here. Manager Jeanine was the last person I talked to and she gave me my final reason on why I should never use this card again.

    Overall, I remain with Rush because it's the first debit prepaid card company that offered it to me. However, sometimes I don't understand how money could be missing. I was told that if there was no money in acct I could not be overdrawn but that is not true. The rep who explained it made no sense and the accent was hard to understand.

    I've had RushCard for so many years and it was my only debit card I ever had. I liked their services so I stayed with them and told everybody about it. One of the benefits in using the card is when I ordered things online over a certain amount, I get a dollar or two back a month or two later depending on what I ordered. Also, it's very convenient especially with money transfers.
