    I was skeptical when starting out with direct deposit, but RushCard has been consistent with depositing my funds and giving me an accurate balance. I only wish that people could add money through snap chat. I haven't traveled outside of the US yet with this card. I hope that it would work the same as it does in the states. I am a proud member of RushCard and I am so happy that my payroll gets into my account early. Not as early as it has been in the past, but it still works for me. Thank you.

    I have text alerts on my phone and there are time when I text for a balance inquiry, the balance is incorrect. I also no longer receive a text alert that my direct deposit has posted. I used to get my direct deposit post on Thursday early (morning) and now it post late Thursday and sometimes on Friday. I have been a customer for 5+ years. No loyalty promos or incentives.

    My experience with RushCard has been good. My mom had a card then, she told me about it and she signed me up for one. I started using it and I had it ever since. It functions like a bank account. I get my paycheck a day earlier and I’m able to check my bill pay. I also can transfer money to my relatives that have cards. I spoke with their customer service team before when I was about to get a new card to be sent out and when they were going through system issues. They were very helpful and they do their best to help whenever they can. They were pleasant and consistent. I’ve been using RushCard for a long time and nothing’s really changed, except for the new system. The card functions the same and I know what I’m being charged for.

    Working with RushCard has been the most unpleasant customer service experience I have ever endured. I am discontinuing my account immediately.

    UPDATED ON 02/02/2017: I have never dealt with a company with such a low rate of customer service care as I have with RushCard. Last year I had issues when my car was stolen and I RushCard was in it. That entire situation was a fiasco but RushCard made it even worse trying to replace my card and I should have left their services back then. This week, and 11 phone calls later I am trying to reactivate my online account, which was cut off for Lord knows what reason, and no one on the phone is competent enough to do so. Every person, every supervisor, tells me to call back within 30 minutes to an hour. Then the next one says one to two hours, it has now been four days and nothing has been done. As soon as this transaction was RushCard completed I will be there company and all of my family who are RushCard service members are also unhappy and they will leave as well. There are so many Prepaid Card Services out there. Don't get stuck in this one.

    I recently had an issue with fraudulent activity on my card. Which made me upset and annoyed. I was a little annoyed because my card was canceled and I was get it for my direct deposit the next day. They told me it would take 7 to 10 business day before I got my card. I explained to them that was unacceptable and I couldn't wait that long. I asked for my card to be shipped faster and they told me that I was going to be charged $30.00 but due to the circumstance I'm would get my money back and a new card replacement fee that I was charged for, which is ridiculous. I am still waiting for my money back. I have called and been told I would hear something within talking 2 to 3 business days. As it's been almost 2 weeks now I still haven't heard anything. I guess I will have to make another phone call So I'm not too happy with RushCard service.

    I have been a loyal Rushcard member since 2009. I have direct deposit and have used both of my Rushcards exclusively as my major form of payment. The issues in regards to this card aren't many but when problems happen they are bad. Last year in particular, during my wedding preparation the changing of banks really caused a huge problem. As I said this was my primary form of payment, funds were not available or could not be touched. My wife and I did not want or need the added stress at that particular time. Now, last week I try to swipe for my wife's manicure and it is declined. Embarrassed, I walked to an ATM and withdrew the money to pay. Why does this happen?

    I like this card because there are no surprises. My other government card made me wait for my money, RushCard does not. I can add to my account, the other card I couldn't. I get notified when a large sum has been withdrawn, my other card was hacked twice and the only solution they had was for me to call the merchant and cancel my card.

    I have never had any problems with RushCard. The only complaint that I have is that I have requested text notification of my transactions, but the notifications continue to come to my email. I am still getting the notifications since my emails are also on my phone. I just prefer to get text notifications so they are all visible at once.

    My confidence in Rushcard has taken a tremendous drop in the past year. My calls are generally with someone who I can barely understand and makes me feel like I'm dealing with a robot who can't make judgment calls or do anything for the sake of customer service and satisfaction. I'm always told I have to wait for a resolution. It has been rough to the point where I have been doing research on different card and even considering really opening my big bank account which I completely dreaded. Hopefully things change.

    RushCard has been the worst experience for me from card services, faxing, claims, just a bad experience. Only thing positive is early check day and sometimes that get held. I did a dispute and tried to cancel after I got things situated. RushCard still haven't unblocked my wife card and she is furious but not getting any help from RushCard as we speak.

    I check my account regularly and for the most part I have been satisfied with your service. But just this week I found an unauthorized PENDING transaction for nearly $200 on my account. There was nothing I could do to stop it or future transactions EXCEPT cancel my card and order a replacement card! I was not sure that was necessary, but it was my only recourse. Really it would not stop the customer from deducting the funds from my account and ordering a replacement card is an extreme inconvenience for me! Nothing Rush or I could do identified the party or location of the transaction - it was simply Sprint.

    Having skimmers prevalent in my area, I was concerned whether I needed to contact the authorities. But without having a location or telephone number of the charging party I could not go to the authorities. Instead I chose the lesser of all evils and cancelled my card! When my new card arrives I now have 5 direct bill customers to contact and update my information. A STOP PAYMENT for that one transaction would have certainly been a better option! And Stop Payment is something a bank can do!

    I've been a member of RushCard since 2007 and have enjoyed being with them. It's very easy to do the direct deposit. I give them my deposit ID and the routing number, and everything is set up from there. I direct deposit my payroll and receive my pay up to a day early. Every year, I put my income tax money on there too. I use my Rushcard for everything and it's very convenient for me. As long as I have money on the card, I can do whatever I need to do. Their customer service is very friendly and always thank me for being a member. I got a new card because they alerted me that somebody had tried to compromise my card. I'm a happy customer and very satisfied with RushCard. I thank Russell Simmons for coming up with the idea. I recommend RushCard to everybody that I know.     I just got my RushCard this year and so far it has helped me manage my finances better as I don't have a bank account anymore. I got tired of having a significant amount of funds disappearing. And the bank will tell me that it's fees for this and that. I found out with our bank that they usually tell me what I want to hear and next thing I know I'd paying $5 every transaction. I worked too hard to just give my money to the bank. With RushCard, I get to shop online again. I can even purchase event tickets. Also, I was looking to cover up some of my bills. I like to cash my check where I go and then load the card up myself. I'm a cash kind of guy because this whole system is messed up.

    The first card I have, I was shopping online with an app where everything's discounted. Out of the blue, PayPal put a complete stop on my card and I had funds on it. I asked them why and they told me to ask Rush. I called RushCard and apparently there were two huge transactions. Someone hacked my account and was trying to use the card. Rush put a hold on my card and issued a replacement card.

    It all started on August 3rd. I had misplaced my debit card. I couldn't wait for a replacement card. I needed to pay my rent, my son was on his last five diapers and, we needed to do grocery shopping. So I decided to do a card to card transfer on the mobile app. I wanted to put the funds on my fiancée card but, by me not knowing the 3 digit code I was unable to transfer the money. After several failed attempts, my account became suspended. So I called in, spoke to the first rep, and explained my dilemma. He told me they couldn't manually transfer the funds, and as far as my account being unsuspended, it should be reinstated within an hour.

    After an hour waiting my account was still suspended. I called back in again, spoke to another rep explaining the urgency of having access to my funds. He was unable to help so I requested a supervisor. She explained to me that, there are two options. Option request a manual card to card transfer which can take up to 12 business hours. Option number two, I can request express cash, which would cost me $30. I would pick up the funds at MoneyGram if approved. That process can take up six business hours. I told the supervisor that the express cash would be great for me. She said that she couldn't put the request in, because corporate office is closed, and it would be best to call tomorrow after 8 am, because that when the corporate office opens. She said she will notate the account, stating that I will be calling back in to start the express cash process.

    In the meantime I waited for my suspended account to reactivate because I needed still try to do an online card to card transfer. Because now my son is down to his last 2 diapers. So I called back in again a little bit after 8 pm. I ask the rep how long will it take for my suspension to lift, I was advised it was an hour. She said no she would need to submit a request in. I explained how the account became suspended. She offered to send me a replacement card, with the same number, as my current card, expedited 1 business day. She was concerned that someone may have my card. I told her no initially, I was concerned that if I found the card, I wouldn't be able to use it. Then I'll have to wait till Friday for my money. She advised me that, it wouldn't be the case because the numbers are the same, and she would put my lost card on hold. If I find it I can call back in to lift the hold.

    On Thursday August 4th, I gave RushCard a call a little bit before 9 am. I told the rep why I was calling in. She reviewed the notes and I explained the whole situation. She saw that I was getting an expedited card. She advised me that due to the card being expedited, my request may be denied. But she submitted the request.

    I called every hour till about 1:00 pm checking on the status of the request. I then found out that the request was denied, due to the card that was on the way. I requested another supervisor who did not offer an assistance. He just kept reading what notes said. So I requested to speak with his manager. He connected me and she did the same thing. I explained to her, that the rep who ordered the card, knew I was going to call in for the express cash, and should have never order the card for me. Then she said the express cash is only for emergencies. I told her my predicament but she just gave me the runaround. Then she placed me on hold and never came back. I was hold for about 35 mins before hanging up.

    On Friday, August 5th, my card arrived which was great but, I was unable to activate it. I called back in. No one could resolve my issue. Everyone kept telling me to dial the activation line, which I explained I did and I was automatically transferred back to a CSR. No one could give me an answer to why I couldn't get the card activated. So I requested a supervisor, and he couldn't resolve my issue. He said he can send a request for a manual activation, at the corporate headquarters. That process takes up to 12 business hours. I told him that is fine, but I would like to submit another express cash request, and he did so. He advised it can take up to 6 business hours. At that time it was a little bit after 12:00 pm.

    I called in about every hour to get update. The request was pending. Finally a little bit after 5 pm I spoke with another rep. She told me that I would have to wait till Monday because the office closed at 5. I also found out that same goes for my manual activation since it take 12 business hours to complete. This has been one nightmare. No one can give straightforward answers, and I never known a financial institution that give a customer a hard time about their money. I feel like the no one cared about how my family is going to eat. I don't feel like no really listen or tried to resolve my issue.

    RushCard's charges are not as high as the other debit cards. I have RushCard for three years now and I even got a second one for my wife. They were awesome and I've been very happy with them. Me and my wife love them. It has made everything convenient. I get discounts on a couple of my bills because I sign up for that autopay and it knocks the price down. I have also done online purchases as well. I was able to use Western Union and get it loaded. But for some reason, Western Union can't load my card anymore so I have to go through MoneyGram.

    At first I had a prepaid debit card through my job but they kept being late and making me mistakes. Then RushCard told me that I could get my paycheck two days earlier with them. My finances are a little better since I started using them. I don't carry cash on me now but I know that I could go get it when I want to. They have up to 4,700 different ATMs that I can go to that will be free and everybody accepts it. I also use it to pay all bills and it's very convenient. However, the last card they sent me didn't have raised letters on it and right now it's kind of worn out. I would prefer for them to have those raised letters because with the raised letter, if you use it a lot like I do, it won't disappear like that.

    Also, I can't read the top of the numbers anymore and the bottom part has disappeared. So it's kind of hard if I'm running it through the store on the thing that you got to run your card through. And once someone called me over the phone and asked for my number but I couldn't give it to him because I couldn't read it. I would if I had. I called RushCard about it and they said they're going to send me another one. But that was three weeks ago and I haven't got it yet. Also, I noticed every time I use my card, I'd get an alert on my phone. Once I got an alert and thought I had lost my card and that someone had used it. But they found out exactly what it was. It turned out that I forgot I got Netflix and they took their payment. But now RushCard does not send those alerts anymore and I don't know why.

    My sister was said that RushCard was a good card to use and she had had it over a year. As for me, I've had it for about five or six years now. It's convenient and I've also recommended it before. I get text messaging where it lets me know how much money I have left on my card so it helps with budgeting. On top of that, I can also check through my email and get my money a day or two earlier.     When you get direct deposits through Rushcard, in some cases you can get your money earlier and I like that you can pick your own card design and it had nice colors like pink. It's more convenient as far as going online shopping, plus you're able to pay your bills on-time more. It is also easy to do reloads because you can go to a 7/11 which is everywhere. What I'm trying to do now with Rushcard is set up direct deposit for social security, but when I call the 1-800 number, I never understand what the people are saying and when I try to explain to them, they act like I'm not making sense. A lot of them are foreign so I don't understand what they're saying and everybody is telling me something different. I definitely like Rushcard. The customer care is the only thing that I'd be confused about but overall, I'm happy.

Sometimes, I had a problem with my loading situation and I was supposed to get answers back from the department and never got it. I also never got my money refunded back. The reps said they had no control over it.

    I had a couple of other issues when they tell me that I can use another free ATM and it wind up charging me. Then, the reload locations are near me but it's Moneygram and they have a problem with RushCard sometimes. When I load and they say it's not loaded or it's loading I can't touch it. But I've been going through Walmart and I've been okay. They could also do a little better in the card department where they are making the cards. The numbers on the top of the card seem to fade a lot. Other than that, I like RushCard and I'll recommend it to a friend.

    Kimora had a show that I used to watch and I've seen Rushcard. I like the way she has her Rushcard by the design on them and gotten a lot of compliments so I figured I go ahead and get it. I've been able to manage my finances better because I'm not dealing with the bank anymore. I have the access to my balance all throughout the day and I enjoy without having a fee because they can be very expensive especially when I have it in estimates. I've referred some people to Rushcard because they might be having some issues with estimate fee.

    I enjoy the Rushcard with online purchases even though hackers can still get my card information. I have to get an additional account with them and issue that for purchase only. In that way, I know what account might be hacked. One time, I purchased at Walmart and I thought that the business has a safe website. Then, someone tried to use my card 30 days later. But even when I had the issue like that, Rushcard was able to accommodate me real fast.

    Every time I call, the reps are always willing to help out. This has happened to me twice at the gas station. Money is taken off my card when I'm outside at the pump and then I don't get the gas. I went to Rushcard and the reps explained that it will be reloaded back in my account and that I don't have to worry about it. All of the time, it does.

    Overall, I appreciate Rushcard. It's very convenient 'cause I can pay my bills instantly. I don't have to go anywhere and get any money orders if I choose to. I also love the fact that direct deposit is available two days ahead of time before my payday. If I'm not able to get my money, they will notify me by text or email. It's definitely a peace of mind.

    Very disappointed with RushCard. I have been a customer since 2007. I have a pending amount of $504.67 on hold. I have provided all the necessary documentations to RushCard in regards to the transaction canceled by Amazon Prime and I have not received help to release my funds. It has been over 5 business days. When I call customer service I get different stories from agent, the phone hangs up and I have to call again. The situation is not resolved. This is my money and not RushCard. The CEO & CFO need to hire and train their personal and be involved. I can provide all details once I am contacted. Need to resolve this issue.

    I've been a RushCard user for almost three years now. I like the fact that I can use it for my Social Security disability, and they deposit it a couple of days prior to my disability date. That feature is nice however, there have been some other things that have put a damper on my wanting to keep it. I don’t want to keep changing cards but it's very disappointing not to find an ATM where they offer or advertise ATMs in the area. I moved from Charlotte, North Carolina to Orlando, Florida and they advertise that certain ATMs offer non-fees. I’ve searched for those out, and they don’t exist or there are fees with the ATMs that their customer service have directed. Their customer service reps don’t seem to be very knowledgeable about the information that they’re giving out.

    I also like the fact that I don’t go over in my purchases. All the purchases are point-of-sale services. I used to work for a bank as a fraud investigator, so I know it helps to keep people from overusing or abusing the service of the card. However, a lot of cards that are coming out now are offering the same services, so RushCard may want to do some up-training on their customer service representatives. I use direct deposit and it is great.

    I lost my RushCard card and they sent me a replacement but when I got the replacement card, I couldn’t get it activated. I was told it was because I was doing it from a smartphone and to try and use my landline phone instead. I used that but still couldn’t get it activated. I kept getting switched over to a supervisor. The supervisor told me she was going to contact me back, and said something about escalating it to get it unlocked which meant they had it activated manually. It was a huge runaround.

    When I finally got the card activated, it was literally almost a week later. I had my check deposited in there but it got to a point to where I didn’t trust it, so now I have four checks that get deposited into one account, and a portion that gets deposited in my RushCard. I can’t trust the fact that I won’t be able to have access to my funds when I need them.

    I’ve been on RushCard user since 2012. I thought their Baby Phat RushCard was the cutest thing in the world so I ended up signing up with RushCard for the card. At the beginning, RushCard was great. I could get my funds early that's why I still put a partial of my checks in there. The RushCard app makes it a lot easier because it's way too much to get to a desktop computer or through the phone and try to go through the Google search. It’s a lot easier to be able to keep the app open. I don’t even have to retype my log-in. All I have to do is type in my password and it goes straight to my account. I like the fact that I have the option to transfer from card to card because I got my little sister a card as well so I sometimes transfer some money from my card to hers when she wants a little extra cash.

    I use RushCard for everything: online purchases, debit and in the store but majority of the time for online purchases and bills. If I have something due and there’s money on my RushCard, then I’ll go ahead and use it for payment. Their customer service is not the best. I don’t know if they are training their people right now so that they'd know what they’re talking about but that day, I was trying to get my card activated and the girl was sitting up front and this guy was literally sitting on the phones trying to tell me it was because I was using a smartphone. Now I’m thinking to myself, I know he’s looking at my account and I know he sees that I’ve been a customer at RushCard for four years now.

    I’ve been activating cards with this company for years and never had a problem with it. I was transferred to somebody else and she tells me the same thing. They weren’t trying to solve my problem. My experience when I call their customer service agents are like that every time. I hate calling them. I’m satisfied with the company and the card but their customer service is not the best.

    I wanted to go with something that at least was a little bit more reputable so I chose RushCard. It's great to have the online account where I can go online and check and verify purchases. I've been with RushCard for three to four years. I stopped using them briefly but then I got back with them again. One of the things I like about RushCard is that I would be able to seamlessly send my brother money because he has a RushCard as well. I also received $20 because I was able to send him a referral.

    My experience with RushCard has been pretty good except for little hiccups. There was one time when their system was down and I couldn't log into my account. They also have an issue when the ATM was down but they fixed that within a day. Their cards look fake too, so every time I give it to people, they always give me a look. I actually ordered a card with raised numbers instead of flat ones, but even that one still looks a little fake. It would be good to get their cards updated to look like an actual bank card or credit card would to ease my purchase. I was also skeptical of their 7-8 days dispute processing when regular banks usually refund money within two business days. I also wish they would get more ATMs that I don't have to pay the extra fee for.

    I've been a customer for almost 15 years and I am now taking the steps to never deal with Rushcard again. I went on a girls trip. Went to the hotel. Checked in. Stayed in the hotel about an hour. Realized this isn't the hotel for us. Asked for a refund from hotel manager. He agreed and said yes. Gave me my paperwork and said my refund of 100.00 dollars will be back on card 2-3 business days later. I call Rushcard four days later, they said they didn't return it yet, it's still pending.

    Called the next day. The entire Expedia transaction was gone and so was my money. Rushcard insisted that they never took the money out of my account for the hotel in the first place so I don't get a refund. I'm over this bogus company.     I have been with RushCard since 2009 and have had a few issues, nothing major but this past tax season you ran a promotion that was supposed to put $30 in my account because of how large my refund was. I have called many times about this and sent in the paperwork proving it was my tax refund and no one has gotten back to me and I still have not seen the $30 I was promised.     I used to love RushCard but after this I don't think I will continue using them. I would like to complain about a dispute I had April 12 about two charges that was charged to my account. Let me say thank you for first refunding half back, but what I am not understanding is how the hell was one charge illegal and the other charge was not. I have been a loyal customer of RushCard since around 2007. Nothing like this has ever happened but when you start purchasing online, people have gotten creative on stealing information. I want my money. If I didn't make the charge they should not be able to keep it. This type of disrespect makes me not want to use Rush or refer Rush anymore.

    Again how can one charge be illegal and the next one not but from same company? Please help me understand this process. I never received any letter or email regarding this but someone in customer service read me some false email that was supposedly sent. I receive promotions from Rush, balance updates but mysteriously I didn't receive a letter stating I'm being screwed out my money or that I was refunded one payment back. I just so happened to check my account. Again I've been a loyal customer and I would hate to have to find another company due to this bull. Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you.

    RushCard is convenient. The direct deposit is super easy, but that’s about it. Now, I’m not having a good experience with my card. I had a transaction on my card that I didn’t have anything to do with. I needed somebody to speak with directly to get the issue resolved but the only way I could get to talk to anyone was through email or text. I used to talk directly to a customer rep but now I can’t. So I’m almost thinking about getting a bank because I need to be able to speak with somebody when I have a situation regarding my money. It’s been a week and I still haven’t talked to anyone.

    I've been a Rushcard customer for years but I've only started using it this year once I got my income taxes loaded on. When I got my check and it was loaded, RushCard sent me an email letting me know about it. I like it so far and if I had to recommend somebody else like a family member or friend, I will because I haven't ran into any problem with it. With RushCard, no one could get into my account and I'm the only one who can take something off of it so I don't have to worry about that. I've also been able to order stuff, pay bills and whatever else I want to do with it. Also, the reps are very polite and very eager to help. If I have problems or questions or something I don't understand, they really walk down to where I can understand it and take the time to break everything down for me.

    I've been with RushCard since 2013. Their reps were very pleasant and nice. I like RushCard but one thing that I don't like about it is that sometimes I get paid at 7:00 am, or 11:00 am or 12. I like to get paid at the same time every time like I used to which is at 5:00 am every two weeks. I don't wanna be in the grocery store shopping, thinking my money is up there and then it's not. Another thing is that I wish RushCard had that feature of NetSpend where I can overdraft my card $10.

    I have requested my bank statements from them three times as I need them for a very important meeting with the state that I have to attend. So far, I have had to cancel once already because I haven't received them and they keep telling me they will request them from home office. Now today they tell me I will have them via email from the back office in 24 hours. I have been dealing with this for two months. It shouldn't be this hard to get copies of your own bank statements. Poor Customer service and management. I am totally disgusted by all of this!

    Rushcard I had been a customer with y'all since 2008. On july 2nd I had 511.00 on my card. I stop by the Dollar Store and get some pull ups for my son and my card only pays for 20.00 and not the 1.00... so I slide it again cause I know I have money on my damn card 511.00. So it didn't go thru again so I leave the store and get in my car and check my Rushcard app and it tell me I have 0.00.

    I called Rush right away to see what's going on and how the hell someone took money outta my account at a atm in houston tx the same time I'm using my card in fort worth texas... they didn't do ** and wasn't caring about helping me. Two days later they said my case was close and no error was found so now I'm outta 500 that I didn't even pull outta my account and Rush card don't ** care me and kids haven't ate or went to work due to the fact that I have no ** money.     It's been a great experience with RushCard so far. I've been with them since 2013. There's no overdraft fees and I love the fact that when I use credit, I get $10 a month back. I do the direct deposit. However, I had to pay $12.50 to add some money to my card when I reloaded online and didn't like that so I don't do it anymore. The customer service team has been great when I called and inquired about the expiration date on my card and they were very, very helpful.

    With RushCard, I don't have to worry about any withdrawal fees like I do at my regular bank. I'm able to pay bills a little bit earlier than normal. If I have a due date that needed to be prior to my payday, I can extend out to that day and I know that I'm gonna get my paycheck two days prior. It's very convenient. Right now, I do direct deposit. Sometimes, I do reload. And if I have to reload in an emergency situation, I go to the Wal-Mart. The customer service team were eager to help me with things whenever I call them. The only thing that I didn't like was that they charge you $1 for every transaction, and I think that should be about 50 cents instead. But I recommended it to several friends.

    Rushcard is doing me great. They send me emails when somebody put some money. I've dropped them one time and went to a SunTrust bank but I went back 'cause the bank messed me all up. Rushcard takes better care of me. Since using them, I am able to manage finances a lot better. I'm getting paid early and they notify me about when I got different checks come in every month.     I’ve been with RushCard for over 10 years. I can get my money quickly when I travel and I’m broke. I have a complaint against them, though. I went to get a car from Dollar Rental and the money came off my card, but I wasn’t able to get the rental car. I told RushCard that when I put a dispute in and they still released the money. I put this in over a year ago, and it was never resolved. I let it go because that was the first time I ever ran into a problem with RushCard, but I would never rent with this card again.

    The last couple of months, there have been a couple of difficulties with some of the merchants or availability when I call customer service. I hate their customer service when I call them because they outsource all the calls. I don't hate that they’re foreigners or have a foreign accent, but because they don’t make any sense. They're very literal sometimes and it’s a little annoying. I find myself continuously trying to explain something and them not understanding the communication. That’s been pissing me off lately. But other than that, I would recommend them because they have a better system and I could get my money quicker.

    I got RushCard mainly because there were times when I needed to order something online or I needed to pay a bill online ‘cause I couldn’t get to the place to pay it. It just made it a lot easier to take care of things like that, ‘cause I’m a Cash-and-Carry person. I normally pay cash for everything, and if I need to send the bill, if I can’t pay direct, I send them a money order, ‘cause I really don’t like dealing with banks because they screw me and I'm paying some dollars for late fees. If somebody screws over my bank account, I'm screwed. I got to pay all the fees. I’ve gotten screwed too many times at banks that’s why I decided to go with prepaid; that way, I’m not obligated to anybody, there’s nobody bothering me and nobody’s gonna be trying to get rid of my money, and if anybody steals the card, they’re only getting what’s left on it.

    I always handle my finances very well, but with RushCard, it just makes it more convenient than having to go out and do the shopping. I don’t have a card, so a lot of the things I get, I have to find a way to get them home if it’s a bigger item. So it just makes it a lot easier to have it. The only thing I don’t care for is the $3.95 to put money on it, and a dollar for every time I make a transaction. That’s $5 basically for every purchase. $3.95 is ridiculous. It’s absolutely ludicrous. And if I go to MoneyGram, it’s $4.25 or $4.50, and that’s just stupid. I’m paying to put money on my own card. That’s why I don’t like banks because they wanna charge me an interest rate or fee every month, just for them to hold my money. It doesn’t cost me anything to put my cash in a box in my bedroom.

    That’s the main reason I don’t wanna go with banks because I don’t want all those extra fees. I don’t want anybody charging me for something that I’m not actually paying for. Why should I charge somebody’s pocket? I like the idea of the prepaid card. The only thing I don’t care for is the fact that I have to pay so much to put my money on it. To reload my card I go to Safeway and I use the Western Union. I can’t do the register for some reason; I swiped the card and it won’t let them do it at a cash register, but I have to go the customer service section of the grocery store or to Western Union to load it up.

    It’s a convenient card to use but they need to erase that dollar transaction fee forever. I would like to go load money on my card for nothing and use it for nothing, but I know they have to make some money. It makes me want to combine all my purchases together or wait to buy more than one item together so I don’t have to pay a dollar every time I buy something. But their customer service have been polite and nice.

    I was offered a very exciting offer to refer a friend, and I was to receive a simple $20 promotions award, and my friend would also receive the gift. To our surprise and dissatisfaction neither of received anything nor an explanation. RushCard did however send us both invitations to try additional promotions opportunities, as if we were so ignorant to torture ourselves again. I believe that RushCard should honor existing offers before trying to sell unsatisfied customers additional offers that will not be offered. I believe it's only good business.

    I simply need an automated menu option to speak to a representative. I have been trying to contact a human for *over a week* to release two holds placed on my account totaling $100. I cannot afford to have my money tied up for so long, and it is very frustrating not having an option to speak to a human. Other "contact us" 800-numbers regarding customer service allow a person to speak to an agent if your concerns cannot be addressed through the automated menu.

    Would love to start out saying thanks RushCard for totally not giving a dang to a "Valued" customer for a year. There was a fraudulent charge on my account yesterday. I called Rush and she told me that she refunded my money (and she did) in less than 20 minutes. Then she told me in the morning "pull your money out, call us back" and she would issue a new card so this would never happen again. This morning I stop to get diapers and to pull the rest of my money out, lo and behold RushCard lets the same fraudulent charge get charged again on my account leaving me with a "0.00" balance for the rest of the week.. Which means borrowing money so my 3 month old won't go without....

    So now 2:05 in the afternoon while calling RushCard 5 different times, the best I get is "well maybe 45-90 days it will be back on the card..." BUT WAIT, they cancelled my card and are issuing me another so even if I don't get a refund I'll never know because RUSH has never did what they said they would except for the one and only lady bless her heart that did something about it yesterday.... All RUSH CARD had to do was call the MERCHANT to issue a REFUND.. and they WILL NOT!!! I would love to talk to Mr. Russell to let him know how displeased I am in the fact that I did everything the lady told me and now I'm screwed... Keep it up RushCard you definitely made me an unbeliever in everything you say.

    First off: Why did you let the same person charge my card again. Secondly: Getting lied to on the phone twice about no supervisors on duty, then I call again and get a supervisor... Thirdly: Doesn't a business have the contact information to someone that would actually speak proper English and help you.. you know the whole customer service you guys totally cut out of the equation. Fourthly: Being a manager myself I only feel right in transferring all of my employees to a different card service so this does not happen to them!!! Finally: Thanks for caring "RUSHCARD" for all you've done which is absolutely nothing in my time of need... I will be transferring all of my employees to a different card service for direct deposit because you do not deserve them or their money. HAVE A BLESSED DAY. I also tried to get some answers VIA Facebook and I only got blocked for writing this very same thing.

    I ordered this RushCard the beginning of this month and it's about to be ANOTHER MONTH SOON. My job I work 14 hrs. at a time on occasions to provide for myself and 3 kids, only option is direct deposit. I do believe that it's not important whether I do or I don't have a bank account, the bigger picture is RushCard, Russell Simmons, whoever, have my got dang on money!!! I can see the amount post everytime soon as I go in direct deposit but I have no information on the card besides the routing and account number. Call customer service for different times, not one time did they offered to accommodate me for this inconvenience which I am not pressed for because I just want the money that I work for. Now I want more because I still have not yet received this card in the mail.

    Today in a few hours it will be a new day. My mail comes 11 a.m. on time every day for the past 5 years, there is no discrepancies and the address they have listed for me. RushCard or Russell Simmons need to call me ASAP, I'm sick of calling them and they owe me. If there was a walk and location located in Baltimore, Maryland for RushCard service I probably would beat the pope out of the first person I saw that work there. Give me my ** card or my money!!! All of the information submitted is true and I am a real customer supposedly and it can be verified. I would not suggest RushCard to my worst enemy, I actually will wipe my baby butt with it even if I still had baby wipes.

    My brother told me that we would get our money three days ahead of time with RushCard, and they’ve been good so I went with them. The last time I got money, they released it a week early.     My daughter introduced me to RushCard and she chose them for me. It's convenient. When I am working, it sends me money a couple of days earlier than payday and I basically use it like a credit card in grocery and clothing stores.     I've been a RushCard holder since 2014. I got a RushCard prepaid debit card because I tried to see how it works. I like the promotions and the things they offer.     I have been a RushCard customer for over 10 years and I have never had a problem until now. I get a direct deposit every other Friday. I just recently got my new RushCard last week because mine is due to expire the end of the month. I have all of my debit cards set up through my computer app which safeguards my card numbers so I don't have to type them in while shopping online. So over the course of 3 days there was no money in my RushCard however while I was shopping and meaning to use a different credit card it was inadvertently using RushCard. Never even was aware of this until my orders were coming back declined and I had to update payment info.

    Well got on rushcard.com today and it stated it was a hold on my account- so I was like okay maybe due to the mix up. I called in found out that my card was blocked due to the breach of the agreement. She stated that in the agreement it says and I quote "If you attempt to use your rushcard without an available balance it will automatically block your card due to fraudulent transactions." Keep in mind my rent is due today and my rental agency does not play lateness and I will be charged a $75 late fee. So me being the person that I am, I asked her to show me where it says that in the agreement, she directed me to line 20 of the agreement. Go ahead I'll wait for you to look it up and read it. Says no such thing.

    So then she started getting real smart and disrespectful stating that my transactions were not made online because I used it a hotel in Atlantic City and attempted to use my pin number, she said I am looking at the declined transactions system and it says pin was use... (First mistake) I travel, and I mean travel and never have I went to a hotel where you can check in with a debit card and use a pin number... Secondly it was to secure a reservation and mind you have email confirmation to prove it. So I called her a liar, she got real quiet. So to me that was strike 2. Then she said if you need your money now we can send it Western Union and it will cost you $30... Why should I have to pay $30 for a RushCard mess up?

    I am beyond pissed right now. So I will be paying the $30 to retrieve my funds immediately- I have already changed my direct deposit information for next pay period in the system at work. I will no longer be a customer of RushCard after today. It has been a great 10+ years, but that one representative put a bad taste in my mouth and I can no longer conduct business with you guys.

    I've been using RushCard for two years now. I've seen it on TV and I was looking for one at the time so I tried it and I've been very well pleased with it. It's been a good deal to me. I use it instead of carrying cash so it cuts the impulsive spending and I'm able to spend responsibly. I purchase stuff with my card and most of my bills are deducted from it. Also, my money is there a little bit in advance than it normally was and that helps. It's very convenient because I don't have to wait on a check. I use the direct deposit and every once in a while I also reload. The card has worked well for me.

    The customer service and the people that I've dealt with have been very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Anytime I've had anything that I needed to know or have questions, I call customer service and they credit it right up for me. I had a problem not long ago and the young lady was very courteous, went straight to my problem and we got the problem solved. I got a new card around the time she said I would get it. I called in, had to reload on the phone and I didn't have any problem doing any of it. It's been fantastic. I am very satisfied with the service and I would recommend RushCard to other people.

    I use to swear by RushCard, stating that this financial institute is the best way to go. But I can't now. Not knowing if my hard earn pay is going to make it to my account.     Seriously, totally frustrated that I have sent multiple requests to "opt-out" of emails. I never activated their card & want no part of it. It is NOT that hard to remove my email from a list. Calling the number they provide was time wasted that I will never get back as it is only an automated system. Pushing wrong buttons even does not get you a live person. I would hate to have money on this card!

    All my information was stolen from my old card so I'm still waiting to have everything put on to the new card to start using it again. RushCard reps handled it well. They told me when I would receive my card and it actually came through on what they said. They have a lot of good features in their card that I enjoy such as direct deposits that come a whole lot quicker. Some ATM's don't charge a fee to withdraw funds from the card. I can also track everything online. I can even speak to a customer service representative 24/7 if ever I have a problem. They're available to me whenever I need them.

    There was one incident though where I actually got the second card and instead of using my first and last name, I used my middle name and my last name. They would not allow me to use that card even when it has funds in it. They closed the card, I wasn't able to use it and it took a little while for me to receive my funds back. But other than that, I have no problem with them. Overall, they're fair. Their reps are courteous. They might give a little hassle every once in a while but other than they're fine. It's better than speaking to a bank representative.

    RushCard is a scam. Russel Simmons you suck. I want to fly to South East Asia myself and tell you guys off. I've been dealing with RushCard for a week now and countless hours on the phone.     I tried RushCard. Set up direct deposit, went through two cards back to back that would not activate. Had to go to MoneyGram to get my money off the account. Trying to get my money earlier ended up getting it two days later. What a waste! Horrible.

    I love my RushCard. It's so easy and convenient. Direct deposit is great and the fact that I'm not charged to use my card is even better. I've yet to come across an ATM that charges me for withdrawal and I love being able to load cash/checks to my card as well. I lost my card and member services was on the ball. They automatically cancelled the card, got me a new one in the mail and had all my funds and direct deposit transferred to my new card.

    Although I continue to use the RushCard my overall experience has not been a positive one. In addition to being a part of the problem of going at least a week without having access while they redesigned the system, on several occasions my direct deposit was made and once I got to the ATM within minutes it was gone. I have been embarrassed because I was trying to use it and they said it didn't go through. Rush had removed my deposit and I had to wait several hours to have it reapplied.
