    Netspend will do anything and everything to stop you from activating your card. They ask for driver's license, us passport, social security, utility bills etc. even if you provide that, I doubt they will activate your card, they will continue to delay you and stop you from activating your card. I think the company is in South America or maybe India, you will not get a US customer service representative. I am not sure how can we trust someone with our real government picture idea and all our financial details to just active a card? Do not buy NetSpend card, it's a BIG NO. Good luck.

    Like other financial companies, we are required by our bank, as well as MasterCard and Visa associations, to be compliant with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) laws. Both laws require that all financial institutions verify the identity of each account holder.

    I like the alerts because it's convenient. It lets me know how much I have in my account and when I purchase things. I also don't have to go online. I've had pretty good experience with the representatives that I talked to. When I had a question one time, the representative helped me very well. Overall, it's a nice card and the company is good.

    I got Netspend for my school money a couple times, then I used it over the summer. I ended up getting identity theft with it, so I had to close a bunch of my cards out. But I have it right now and I only use it for when I get spare cash to put on there. I use it for grocery shopping, clothes, hotels when we're looking for a place, gas, and pretty much everyday things. I usually recommend them and I recommend the ACE cards because they seem to be better than having a bank account. I don't have to worry about somebody going in and taking my card and my cash. And when I had that, they had found the card. Because of what happened, I don't really use the online part too much, but you can get reminders about anything from Netspend about any activity to your account, which is good. But I usually just call them and most of their reps have been really nice and helpful, especially whenever I had to go in and cancel my stuff out.

    Horrible customer service, super greedy on charges, horrible refund service, nothing but headache and frustrations. Their refunding horrible: My transaction February 2021, still not handled. It's July 2021. It's been 5 months. I gave them evidence this transaction was cancelled and not by me. They say one thing and it doesn't happen.

    I was supposed to have a $1000 deposit in Netspend almost a year ago for a loan that I got. They said there was no direct deposit so the check was just in hanging. I called Netspend and one person told me that it was in holding because there wasn't a direct deposit slip made out for it. And then, the next guy I talked to acted like they never even heard of it. They could never give me an answer. They gave me a runaround. I never got that money. The people with the loan company finally got it back. It took four months. That was the only negative right there. Everything else has been good. The customer service and knowledge of their reps are excellent. In my situation and a lot of my friends’ situations, just coming off of parole and not having a checking account established, I highly recommend Netspend. Because as long as you got the right information, they let you in the door and they give you a chance.

    I have had the service for a little while now and I appreciate it. The reps answer any concerns I might have and they give me feedback if I do have any difficulties or issues with the account. I keep track of how money's being spent or if anything suspicious happens to the card, I'm able to keep track of that too with not a lot of difficulty at all. The Anytime Alert when a transfer happens, either with or without my knowledge, is very helpful.

    I'm very happy with Netspend. Everything's worked out just fine with it. Anytime I use my card, it'll automatically come to my phone and send me a text saying my card was used. So I could keep track. I'm elderly, the majority of my friends are elderly and we have a tendency to forget and it helps us with that. It also helps the fact that on most occasions, we'll get our checks a couple of days early, considering most of the time, bills usually start coming on the first or the third. So we can get them out of the way and not have any late fees. Also, my daughter just got on her disability and she's wanting to get it transferred over to Netspend.

    Shady As Can Be. Never use Netspend. I have been with them for 10+ years. Someone cloned my card and made a charge a half a country away from me. I filed a complaint with one of their representatives. They told me I'd have a decision in 10 days. Instead, I get a letter saying I should have informed them in writing of the dispute and, "SORRY, it'll be another 2 months before you get your money back." NO ONE EVER advised me I needed to submit a request in writing. I have called and talked to the store where the charge was made. They have video footage of someone other than me making a charge on a card OTHER than the ONLY one that exists for my account. Do NOT BANK WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY DO NOT UPHOLD ANY SECURITY MEASURE TO PROTECT YOUR ACCOUNT.

    Netspend has excellent service. Everything that Netspend offered also was better than the other ones. A month ago, I went to put the money on it and it was saying that the card was not active. So, I called customer service and it turned out that the place where I was trying to load it on had a problem with their system. The customer service rep told me to just go try a different location. They gave me the location and I went there and it worked fine.

    It's real convenient having the card. Everything is pretty easy. There's a place here that's easy to go and I can get my card loaded.     Absolutely avoid. I closed my account after I bought a pre-paid card in a store. I did that because there were so many hidden fees for everything. I researched online and found much more practical and cheaper options online. I went to Chime. Netspend just wouldn't give me a full refund, they only give you a check that can't be deposited online, and that expires very fast. And after expired, they do not provide refunds. They are so greedy for money they prefer to take money from customers who are clearly unhappy with the services they provided, instead of improving services. Please avoid.

    I purchased Netspend prepaid visa gift card of $20 a couple years ago, and the card said it's good through 03/23. But when I tried to activate it yesterday (06/18/21), I was told it's expired. So I called the customer service and it was one of the worst services I have ever experienced! Not only none of the representatives understood the situation, I was also transferred from one representative to another with a lot of waiting time in between. I got hung up again after the third representative and nothing was solved! What waste of my money and time! Will NEVER buy any product from them!

    Netspend offers prepaid debit cards, not gift cards. Your temporary card expires 120 days after purchase (or upon activation, whichever comes first). The pre-printed expiration date is sometimes longer than the true expiration date since we do not know what the shelf life a temporary card will have before it is sold. This information is printed on the card packaging.

    I like how I can get alerts about my account if there's something going on that I didn't authorize and didn't do. I love that I get text messages with my balance on there so I can keep track. Sometimes, I get customer service that really doesn't understand English. Sometimes, it's kind of hard. I dislike that you can only put $500 on your card at a time, then you have to do different transactions. I wish you can put more because one time I tried to put 1,000 on my card, and I can only do 500 at a time. So I had to do two transactions, and every time you do that, there are fees.

    I like that NetSpend didn't let outside affairs affect my account, like child support, anything with the state or federal. They wouldn't hold my check and say that I can't cash my check. The Anytime Alert is awesome too because it helps me keep track of my spending. The only downside to that was with the utility bill, Liberty Utilities. What happened was, I made a payment on the wrong account of the utility bill. I got the last two digits wrong when I paid my bill. Then, they were saying, "You've made a payment on another account." I said, "Can you guys give me my money back so I can put it on the right one?" It was a big hassle. It took about a couple of months, it was awful. I asked Netspend, "Could I get a receipt?" They said, "The receipt on your Anytime Alerts is a receipt." I said, "I talked to utilities, and I sent them that text of the Anytime Alerts, but they wouldn't honor that." They didn't say it was a real receipt. I couldn't use that.

    I also had a really bad experience with it once. I go and use my Netspend card at the gas pump. It works, but then they take $70 for a deposit. That happened to me three times and I've never seen that $70 ever in all these years. But I have used Direct Deposit when I went to work for a few companies and it works great. I've gotten my check two days before everybody else does and they got regular bank accounts.

    Very high subscription rates! Unreasonable lockouts for no apparent reason! I would not recommend NetSpend to anybody that wants convenience of a debit card! In addition, customer support is almost impossible to get through to on the phone.

    I enjoy Netspend. My wife and I both have one. I have a set amount that we budget for just miscellaneous. It takes the money out of our regular accounts where we pay bills and it allows us to have a little bit of money just for each one of us, our own little budget for spending. So when it's all gone, it's gone, and I have to wait for next month.

    It works really well and we know how much we have all the time. One thing I like about it is when I do a purchase, it tells me immediately. I get a text of the purchase that I made and how much I have left in my balance. I have had my card number stolen a few years ago and I immediately got the text that someone spent money on my card, so I called Netspend and they canceled. They stopped my card so they couldn't buy anything else. I had to do a dispute claim, which took a little while for me to get the money back. But they did put it back. And it took a few days to get a new card, so I couldn't find anything for a few days. But everything was on hold until I got the new card. But I was still pretty satisfied with how it worked.

    I like that with Netspend, I get paid almost two days before it's supposed to be there and since I've been with them so long, I used to have a Netspend All-Access card where I can overdraft $400 and it'll come back.     I got my card hooked up to my phone so anytime I spend money, or if somebody takes something off the card, the way it's supposed to, it gives me an alert. That's the good thing I like about Netspend. They also don't charge a big fee every month. My check goes on every month, then if I want to put extra money on it, I just go up to the place or a gas station. I haven't had any problems. I would advise my friends to get it.

    BRIAN KENNEDY BIANCHI **. It wasn't until after I deposited less than 300.00 dollars that I was not able to access my funds, that I read reviews to see if it was just me. It turns out it is not. It sounds as if this company has enough consumer complaints and bad ratings publicly to file a complaint with the Department of justice along with a major class action lawsuit. I believe I have resources and contacts to get his ball rolling. I just need to know that we will have the customers and complaints backing ourselves as a group so that we do not waste other people's time like this company has wasted our time.     It was more convenient for me to put money on Netspend and use it in stores. I called customer service one time. I had a block on it for somebody trying to get ahold of my transactions and then I felt like a transaction that I didn't do, like I could be sleeping and all of a sudden I'd get an alert saying I have a transaction. Then they said they blocked it and then they put a block on my card, so it wouldn't be used again. It made me feel safe. The fact that no transaction that I won’t do will go through. I use the app all the time. I like the notifications ‘cause I get text messages any time I use the card, any time I get a deposit. I used to have a bank account and I closed my bank account 'cause I prefer my Netspend account.

    I tried other companies before but something went wrong. So I tried Netspend, and thus far, I've had no issues. They have pretty much the same fees as other companies but at least they let me know when and what is being taken out, so I know when it's wrong. I've had issues with my debit card from my bank account and in the meantime, I have to pay almost everything by check. But if there's an emergency and I can't, for some reason, use my debit card because I turned it off with Card Control, which also sends me alerts, I can use my Netspend card. That's the only thing I keep it for and it has enough so I could get a taxi if there's an emergency. I put minimal on there but I'm not linking it to anything and I can't do much because of different ID stuff. So I'm just being careful. But the service has been decent and I appreciate everything that's been done.

    I love Netspend. It's very simple. I love that it's so convenient. But the one thing that I have gotten upset about was that I had an account prior to the one I use now and I stopped using it. I wasn't aware that I had to call and cancel the account like shut it out. A month ago, they took $45 out of my account to put into another account. It was to cover a fee where my account had been charged. I was very upset about that because that was all my money and I was supposed to take my dog to the vet. My dog died. But I've always been helped and had nice people. They are the nicest group of people when it comes to any kind of banking that there is. They also have a savings account unlike others I know that I've had. It doesn't draw much interest and I like that because it's easy to save money that way.

    My Netspend hasn’t been working at all. Every time I try to do something like pay bills or make online purchases, it keeps it back. It’s not taking it off there and then I ended up having to call them. What I would like to see better would be stuff being spent on there that hasn’t been, and then having to call them and say, “I didn’t buy this.” It was great with the first person I talked to. The lady canceled my card and was really sweet about it. Then, she told me I would expect the card in the mail, that we canceled all my stuff. I said, “What about the stuff that I did not buy?” She said, “They will do an evaluation on it.” When I got my card, I hooked it back up and I said, “Do I have to wait on my phone before I would know when I get my money back on the other thing?” She looked it up and she said I was supposed to get it on the 14th.

    The features of Netspend are very convenient. But it would be nice to have something else, like when sometimes I just want to pay with a check and I don't have that with Netspend. Also, I had problems this month with my Flare account. There was a tab there that was confusing and I couldn't retrieve my statement of account, which I used to get every month. They were able to email it to me but it would minimize the amount of call if I'm able to just retrieve my statement. And I have a difficult time with the transfer of funds. I can never ever get through that. Every time I try to do it over the phone or online, I miss a step. I have to always get a live person. But their reps are really quick and fast. It can't get any better than that. They really know their stuff.

But I had problems trying to activate a card for someone else because they weren't of age.     I really like the service that Netspend gives me. I don't have to be upset when I talk to their reps. They can take care of whatever. I can call them and find out what I need to find out and if I need to replace my card, they’d do it in 24 hours, even over the weekend. I've lost my card three or four times. They would cancel the lost card, send me a new one, and I would get my money back. Also, I had them cancel orders. It took a minute to get my money back from one of those but I still got it back. I didn’t have any problem with waiting and what form I need to fill out. I've never had any bad experience with them.

    When I'm on vacation and my check comes, my money would be there right on the card. It's different from having cash because the check would have been still in Minnesota. I really love that. Also, I get paid three days in advance and it’s a real money saver for me because I work Wednesday through Sunday. When I get paid on Wednesday, I can go shopping right away and get myself five days’ worth of food. And I can just go right on to the store and it’s never a problem any store I went to. The card is safer for me than having any cash and that allowed me to do a lot more. The one problem I have had is doing the income and state taxes and the stimulus check. I haven't been able to get that money back on my card. Other than that, the card has been the best route for me. It gave me more freedom, opened up my life, and changed everything.

    Netspend is very convenient. It lets you know when money has entered your account or even when it's on its way. It also lets you know when money has left the account immediately after you've swiped the card. It’ll come right to my phone and tell me what was charged and how much is left after that charge. One time, there were two items that they sent an email to me letting me know that they weren't gonna be processed. But then, once I spoke to a live person, they said that those were sent out in error. Then, the actual item did get processed and went through. They were very expedient in handling the situation. I was on the phone for less than five minutes.

    The only time I had an issue with the card was when it came up as a prepaid card. So, I could not use that card to complete that specific transaction. But everywhere else I've been to, most merchants, I don't have that issue. It was just something specific with this particular merchant. It would also be nice if we're able to use our Netspend cards in an ATM machine to also make deposits. Maybe they can make a partnership with one of the banks.

    My experience with Netspend has been up and down. They have been a great prepaid card holding company. Other than the fact that when they shut down a card, it doesn't shut down the account, they just shut down that physical card. I have had a card stolen and they left the account open. I didn't know to choose the fact to get a replacement card. So I feel that there's still a possibility that people could be using that stolen card because they have the account information to it.

    But they were all great and very helpful, considering the situation. Also, the features were all very convenient. I would recommend it to my friends. For getting bills paid and checks, that'd be good. But for a permanent bank account solution, I don't recommend it.

    I've had Netspend for years. It does the work for me, and I don't need to have a bank account or a bank statement. It's easy. If I lose my card, they act right away. They don't just leave my card out there to get my money taken out or stolen by somebody. It’s safe and accurate, and it works. I had a card stuck in an ATM not long ago and I got it right away. Direct deposit is amazing as well. Money is always there before you get paid.

    Even though I get text alerts, I still log in and verify my text messages, payments and transactions. The app is self-explanatory. You just look for transactions you need and it’s right there. I like the money in, money out separate information where it’s not all together in one spot. It's cool. I'm comfortable with Netspend and I've told a lot of people about it.

    I was checking on a new card, only to find out from an customer service rep it was not transferred. She spoke fast, seemed to be following a new learned protocol, when I asked her to slow down as it would save us both time she complied for maybe a minute, seemed to be finishing my sentences and after I adamantly told her it wasn't stolen and that I needed to check on it. I also voiced how I very clearly did not want it turned off. She in what I believe a vindictive way turned it off leaving me out of reach of what little money I have and leaving me to have to contact numerous places to let them know they can't send me any money because once it's turned off they cant turn it back on.

    I am furious! This is one of the concerns I have with companies that have sites where it's hard to pinpoint where they are as to make a formal complaint. And frankly I'm seriously considering changing cards. I've been told I will be sent new card in two days free of charge. I'll keep you posted as the outcome of that. It's a shame one bad apple can cause fear and disillusionment.

    I had a bank account before but they don't care if you overdraft it because they charge you $30 for one time you overdraft. With Netspend, if you don't have money, the transaction won't go through. I love that every time I use the card or if something's going in, they send me text alerts or let me know. The reps have all helped me and I love the app. I like that the card gives a cashback or a 5% off. I could use it at certain place and it's right there on the app. I’ve used it twice.     My son is 12 now, so he likes to play games. I would load my Netspend card then connect it to different accounts and to gaming apps, or just go top it. It’s really convenient and that’s why I've been with them for so long. Their customer service reps also always helped me if I had a dispute with a transaction. Aside from that, the reload locations are so much closer to my home and I use them. I get things done faster, especially when I have to pay bills.     Updated on 04/15/2021: I wrote a review about my Netspend experience. Send. Received a response from netspend saying that my check was mailed on the April 12, 2021. I still have not received the check. Tried about 10 times to reach Lea C number that she left. I left messages for the past 2 days and still have not spoken with Lea. Called the 1877 netspend number and they keep telling me that can't find any information on me. Place me on hold. During this time Lea C called. All I was given was a bunch of excuses. And was told that she is sorry that I don't have my money in the time of my liking.

    Don't let netspend handle any of your money. They will give you excuse after excuse....and you still won't get anything done. I still have 3 open disputes even though all of this happened on the same day. I sent an email detailing all of the transactions and the disputes still weren't filed. I sent that email on March 16, 2021. It has clearly been 10 business days since then. I will probably never receive my money back from Netspend.

    Original Review: My stimulus check was deposited on March 12th. Within 8 hours my entire check was stolen with a virtual card. Only $5 was left out of my $1400 check. Any real bank would have flagged the card during the first 2 transactions. $500 and a $300 western union transfer. I called as soon as I noticed. It took me 3 days to get in contact with Netspend. Once I did get in contact with Netspend I was given the runaround. I still have no gotten my money back. I spoke with someone today and was told it would take 15 business days to receive my money back. Within 15 days they would mail me a check. Even though the money was deposited onto my bank card. They decided to close my account and mail me a check. The check still has not been mailed out....They will mail it with 15 business days. It is ridiculous that I have been give the runaround and I am the victim. Netspend has the worst customer service.

    I've been with Netspend for over eight years. I like that I get my money early. I like the app too. It's good. I like that I can go in there and I could check where I draw my money out from the card. It lets me know what all stores did I use my credit card at. I can keep up with my transaction. The only problem that I have is when the system lets everybody know that their deposits been pending or deposit is being processed, I don't get mine like that. Also, when I swipe my card, it doesn't tell me my balance. When I get the text, it says in the text how much your balance is, I'm not getting that either. The problem I'm having with customer service is if I asked them, "Do I have any pending deposit with the IRS?", they will answer the question but proceed to go into something else. They will keep on talking when I'm saying goodbye. That's irritating.

    I filed my taxes three years ago through Liberty and they sent me a Netspend card. They sent my stimulus check to that account but I can't access that account, so I had to get two Netspend cards so I could access my money, which sucks because that Netspend account, I needed that transaction history. It doesn't look like a deposit now. Now, it just looks like a money transfer and that hinders me from doing a lot. As far as my credit and trying to get a loan, it makes it hard. These other banking apps like Chime, Dave. They might let you borrow money depending on the deposit that you make, but my deposit, being that I'm going through another Netspend account just look like transfers. I've called them about the issue and trying to get them to send in another card for that account so I can access that account, those transactions, but they're difficult. When I try to put the card to that account, it won't allow me to.

    But I would still recommend NetSpend 'cause the app they have is good. Nobody was expecting the pandemic to come through. I filed my taxes since then and they have come to my address. But the direct deposit that was updated then, that Netspend got to the way of some things. They should also update their account policies just a little bit, but overall, Netspend has been good.

    I’ve dealt with Netspend for many years now. I like them better than anybody else. Just the fact about the fees, I can get paid faster. I really like the payback rewards, the points that I can get, and then I can get anywhere from $1 to $10 back depending on how many points I have. Whenever I set it up for an auto payment for, like Disney plus, it takes it out early in the morning to where you're not waiting all day for it to get taken out. It takes it out instantly. It's easier doing it that way and how everything posts fast. Plus the notifications that I get every week of how much is in my bank account really works too.

    The issue that I was having was I had purchased an item from Walmart, and it was taking Walmart a little while to give me the money back to send the money back to the bank for them to release it to me. Whenever I called them and let them know what was going on, they instantly got ahold of Walmart with me on the phone. They got my money back within 20 minutes. I also don't have to worry about overdraft fees, like I would with a bank. I also feel like my money is safer on my prepaid card than I do when it's with a bank.

    I’ve had Netspend for years and never had an issue with it until now and I’m not sure if it’s just because the way things have been changing after Covid. It’s been working for me just fine but fell into a issue when fraud hit my card and they did stop the charges and it didn’t cost me anything and they are sending me a new card but had a issue trying to enter my account online and couldn’t. Taking a couple hours at several phone calls trying to correct the issue and found that I still can’t enter into my account because they have to verify my account by calling me back on the number that they’re receiving on my phone call to them.

    Even though I give them my Social Security number my address and name to verify, it wasn’t good enough. I still can’t get into my account, I have to mail them copies of my driver's license, Social Security card and proof of address in order for me to get into my account It could take two weeks before I can get into my account again. This has caused stress and aggravation even though they got all the information they need they still wouldn’t open my account to use, I was forced into switching to CHIME and open an account so I don’t have to worry about going through this again. I will eventually pull all of my money out of Netspend after things get rolling and I hope no one else has to go through what I’m going through at my age of 60, this stress is killing me.     Netspend is a fraud. Please read this before getting all your direct deposits sent to netspend. I have had netspend since last year, received all my unemployment direct deposits through my netspend visa debit card. I used the card for everything with no problem until a couple of days ago trying to pay for my prescriptions and groceries and it was declined. I called, I had more than enough balance then talked to a representative that announced to me that my account was closed due to suspicious activity!!! I get real time alerts so I know of all transactions no suspicious activity! I got an alert that my unemployment direct deposit was received and I asked the representative where that deposit was and they said they returned it to payor!

    I begged them to allow me to withdraw my balance as I needed the money now to buy food and my heart medications and they said no, they have to process it takes ten days and then they will send a check by mail! This is a scam a crime! How do they get away with this keeping my money, stopping me from withdrawing my money is theft! Plus returning my unemployment direct deposit is just irresponsible and caused problems for me to get it reissued at a time when I need every penny now!

    I called customer service 5 times yesterday, put on hold for hours and when I asked to talk to a supervisor I was put on hold again and hung up on every time. I can't talk to anyone to get answers and to get my money out now and it's a life or death situation not being able to get my heart medications and food for my kids! Please do not use netspend. I thought it was good enough too until one day they decided to close my account with all my money in the account giving me zero access to immediate withdrawal of my money! No one to talk to, no information why with no explanations, just that they closed my account and nothing I can do about it. I need my account access now so I can withdraw my money now! Any anyone out there know an attorney who deals with this type of fraud please help me

    The only thing I don't like about NetSpend is they do not have Zelle or any way to move money outside of NetSpend except via Venmo or Cashapp or Paypal. There is no way to transfer money from NetSpend to another bank via bank to bank transfer. Other than that the service is good to great. If I have to call for any reason the wait time is usually fairly short. Only part of calling them that I do not like is trying to get past the computer robot. It would save a lot of time if we could just get an operator who could shuttle up to who we needed to talk to.

    I have been a loyal customer for close to 10 years. I was woken up 3/15/21 at 5am by numerous text messages from Netspend notifying me of completed transactions totaling $2353.97, all transactions were within 6-9 minutes of each other and all were unauthorized by me. I was able to cancel my card online but unable to speak with a dispute CSR until 9am EST. I was told I needed to wait for all transactions to post before they could assist me in any way.

    I was then unable to access the website for 2 days to track the status of my account. After 2 days of waiting for by the fraudulent transactions to post I was able to open 2 separate claims, was told they would be resolved w/in 10 business days. I provided all requested paperwork including a copy of the Consumer Report to the FTC and the Internet Crime Complaint Center I submitted. I was told 3/30/21 by dispute CSR there has been no headway on either claim and it looks as if an additional 45-90 business days will be needed. I do not understand what is going on as they did not explain why the claims are being held up, there were 4 overseas INTERNET transactions 3 from Carrefour Jordan and 1 from Easy Market Spa in Italy.

    I was then notified by email 3/31/21 at 6.15am EST, claim ** against Carrefour Jordan has been closed for the refund amount of $1269.63, asked them to PLEASE ADVISE why only one fraudulent payment was refunded when there were a total of 3 fraudulent transactions issued on this claim totaling $1649.64, this left an amount of $380.01 in fraudulent transactions + $11.41 in fees unaccounted for. I requested all paperwork and transactions leading up to this decision. I had included the Attorney general in both the state of TX and MA along with the FTC & the Internet Crime Center in on this email as I had contacted all 4 locations.

    I have found this process to recouple these fraudulent transactions to be both hard and lack of a better word mentally upsetting. I have never been treated as horribly by this company as I have during this process, not only did I lose my money meant to assist my family during these horrifying times but as a single mother due to the lack of response, and resolution I now am placed in a position whereas I am unable to meet all of my financial obligations and have the worry of late/non paid bills. I am requested return contact either by phone ** or email ** with all claim documentation and to speak with someone as to what can be done to resolve this issue and recouple the total of fraudulent charges against my Netspend All-Access card.

    Netspend has always been pretty good. The service is a little slow sometimes. But my experience with Netspend has not been bad. They do the right thing. When I lost my card, they sent me another card. They're easy to get ahold of. But sometimes there's a wait time. There may be less employees working to man the phones. So it's taken a little longer now. But that's the same in a lot of industries because people are home when you're working remote so there's less people in the office. They used to have a feature where you could take out up to $100 if you didn't have the money and then you could pay it back. That was one of the reasons why I like Netspend but they took it away. But overall, Netspend is a good company and they are responsive to my needs.

    People were saying how well Netspend works. If you have any questions or problems with your card, they're very good at helping you and they answer your questions. So, I've had this card for at least six years and I like it because there's a monthly fee and they give you advantage. If you're short of cash, they give you a $10 buffer period and they don't charge you any fee. I have several cards and for emergency money, and one is paid to go and the other has a $5 monthly fee where you don’t get an ATM. They take the $5 out once a month. It sounds a lot that you’re paying that out of your money. But you can take as much money as you need without having an ATM fee every single time.

    The team at Netspend are very nice. The only issue I have right now is I don’t like the automated system. I'd rather directly speak to somebody right away. Still, the experience with Netspend has been excellent. I had somebody take out money from my account and I got my money back within a couple of days. It was a small amount but still, it was my money. I have different accounts with different pins and special characters for safety reasons. The best thing I like about Netspend is that when you use the card, I have text alerts. So I know wherever I use my money and sometimes, I go someplace and I know exactly where I went and how much. It takes a couple of minutes and it posts my transaction right away. I get paid every two weeks and it can be two days early. So by the time I get paid, it'll let me know when I get paid.

    There used to be a NetSpend store where I live. I asked how do I go about getting on NetSpend and their reps told me what to do. At the time that I had signed up, I got my direct deposit three days early which was cool to me. I've been on NetSpend ever since. But, I've been wanting to give them a piece of my mind 'cause I didn't like the way they did things. Still, I have a sometimes safe environment with them.

    The alerts they send are good and I love them. Also, putting money in my card is very easy. The thing I don't understand is that I received a card the other day that had the Mastercard logo on it. I didn't ask for it and I forgot how to use it. But since it was hooked up to my account, I was getting zero alerts on it. NetSpend told me that it was the kind of card that I have to put money in. I told them that I'm not gonna transfer money to the card 'cause I have two other cards on my account and I don't need to transfer my card.

At the time I was suicidal and thought by doing a dispute I was able to opt into overdraft. However that wasn’t the case.     I've been with Netspend for over 10 years. I get my money faster and there are no credit checks. The overdraft protection was awesome because if you have direct deposit, you get the protection from the overdraft and if you go over, it covers your account. When I had the Netspend with overdraft protection, I used to go up to $100. When I don't have the money, the funds are there for me and I get paid soon again. Other companies don't even allow you to do that. Also, the customer service reps answer right on time and they try to see how they can help. They stay on the phone until the matter is resolved. It's been a great experience. Netspend lets people know who, where, and when they use their card, so they always know what they have in their account.

    This bank is THE WORST. I received a prepaid card as a gift and attempted to activate the card. The activation was not completed as a signed document was not returned. Evidently there is a stipulation that the card must be used within a certain amount of time that is not disclosed in the paperwork accompanying the official card. When I attempted to obtain a refund for $50, they said that the card was not used with the allotted time and I would not be able to receive a refund. The card was never used. Also, if you do not use the card within certain time parameters, you must pay a handling fee. This is not the way to give a gift in lieu of cash. Run away...and fast!

    I use Netspend to pay bills and stuff. The things that they offer are good as well as their services. I got a card one time for my girlfriend and I paid $20 for the card at the store. They were supposed to activate it and I didn't. I kept going back and I couldn't activate it for some reason because they couldn’t get the number right. My girlfriend needed a card or some kind of account to put in for this card for her direct deposit, which was coming out the following day, so we needed it quick. We went to the bank and got an account. They gave us the account with the number all at once right there so she had that number given to Netspend and they did the direct deposit the next day.

    Netspend took two days to get this ready so we cancelled that and we didn't use the card. I called them, told them what happened and that I'd like to get my money back. They said there was no problem but it took about four weeks to get it. I got $14 and not $20, which I paid. So now, I gotta go back and tell them I want the other $6. I'm gonna get ready to call them because I don't know if I’d get through them on the weekend or not. If they want $20, they don't want you sending them $14. They want the full amount.

    I have had my card stolen about four times within six months. They gave me a card and pretty much, I had to open another account. That's not necessarily what I needed to do. Now, every month, I'm having to call and transfer my money from one account to another account to where I can use the card, rather than linking a card to my original account. I had to call and transfer money to an account that I don't even know if I have the routing number. It has become a nuisance for me that I have to do all that. I've been with Netspend for quite some time now, and I'm not very pleased with the fact that I'm having to deal with this card issue every month.

    With my phone service, I'm very pleased with a lot of the techs or the reps that help, because they're very courteous. They make sure that you're taken care of. For the most of the people at Netspend, they're not as courteous but most of them try to be. I have recommended Netspend to lots and lots and lots of people.     I needed a card because I wasn't able to get a bank account just yet. I was working and wasn't able to get a bank account, but Netspend was able to give me a banking and a routing number, so that was as good as a banking account. I was able to get my apartment because I had that Netspend card with the banking and the routing number. So it's not bad business. Netspend has been good to me. But I wish that I was able to get an extra $50 for my limit because being with somebody so long, there should be a trust factor. They could also offer something like a Capital One card but on a broke man budget for longtime customers or people with at least six months direct deposits to give some type of incentive as a valued customer because I've been with them for years.

    I had a little problem because I had too many Netspend cards at one time. By accident, I typed in the wrong pin numbers for a card. So they locked me down on all of my cards, which I understand for security purposes. They wanted some different type of information and they said, "Well, if we don't get this, we can't let it go." But I already gave them my work background, my Social Security, and my birth certificate. If you got all the information that you need, and you do have a way, which I did and sent to them, they shouldn't put a hold on it. It was so frustrating. But at the end of the day, it was for my security and their security. I've always appreciated Netspend. They gave me my Chicago Bears card and once they gave me that, I fell in love.

    My first experience was when I did taxes back when they sent the Netspend card to start it off. I've been using Netspend ever since. I left my card at a smoke shop and somebody picked it up. I canceled it the next day, but some charges went on it after that time. I have several cards, but I have the stimulus on this card. So, I have to redo another card. I read up on the All-Access. I mailed an All-Access and I went to activate it, but it wouldn't allow me because the disputes will not be finalized until March 3rd. I'm upset about that. I went online to do the letter that they required. I thought I did it correctly, but I guess I didn't because they sent me a letter saying that they didn't receive it.

    I'm learning as I go in regard to computer tech stuff, but in my talk with the representative, "Well, the disputes are going on and it's under investigation. And when it gets down on March 3rd, a decision will be made." However, for some reason, I don't know why she said I didn't file the letter. But it's okay, because he said I still get a refund, the dispute is in my favor, which it is because they have recording devices or cameras wherever the card was used. So, I’m sure it’s gonna be fine. Also, I've had problems with some communication. That bothers me a lot. I don't like to keep calling back until I get somebody that speaks fluent English. But other than that, I like the convenience of being able to receive or transfer money, or use a card online for PayPal or anything of that nature.

    I've been with Netspend for over 20 years. Their cards are inferior grade cards. In a lot of stores, you can just swipe your card across a little pad and it'll take your money and do what you need to do. You can't use those types of services with the Netspend cards because they don't have a chip. So they're actually antiquated that way. They need to get a better quality of cards and they need to update them. Netspend also needs to get their website where it's easier to use. You can hardly get anything to reset and them emailing you information is slim to none to get it. As far as trying to resolve issues, a lot of times, they don't need to cancel your card and they do. Then you're stuck waiting for their slow shipping process to get you a card. That's a little bit ridiculous.

    I had Netspend years ago, but it wasn't an H-E-B card. It was just regular Netspend. The only reason I quit using it was because of my husband's joint bank account that he had already established. He since passed away and the account closed. So, I started using Netspend again for my social security deposit. Netspend is just like any other debit card. But I appreciate that I get paid earlier and I like that there's a little bit of overdraft protection. It's definitely helpful.

    My account got frozen one time and that was because I got a refund from Amazon. Instead of refunding everything, they individually refunded it. So, it made it look really weird ‘cause it was like a $200 purchase of little things. I knew that I had money in the account, but it kept declining everything. So, that was the only time I ever had to call customer service to find out why and they have been helpful.

    I've been dealing with Netspend for years online and I liked them. I tried the Western Union card but I didn’t like it. I'd rather stick with Netspend. It is the best card to use. I use my card for direct deposit, online, and paying my bills. It sends me a text alert when I use my card. I've also done account transfers which is easy and I like it. Sometimes the reload locations charge $3.95 and sometimes it’s a straight $5 or $4.95. It depends on where you go and it's all right. All in all, I like the benefits because I can go on my Gmail and it'll send me an alert saying that maybe my card’s been used or that I have so much money on it.

    I've had a good experience with their reps, too. You could get some nasty ones, but I haven’t. They've never talked to me crazy. But the other day, I tried to take money off off my card and the ATM didn't give me my money but it took it off my card. I had to call Netspend and the guy I talked to was trying to tell me it was going to take up to three months before my money comes back on my card. He told me that I got to have my concern in writing and email it with my account number down there. And it could take up to 10 business days. If they don't resolve it by then, it can take up to three to six months for me to get my $60 back.

    I like Netspend because it's pretty consistent. It notifies me as soon as money comes out and when money gets deposited in. I have two different accounts and I leave one card at the house, which my daughter uses. When she buys something, I know where she bought it and it's pretty detailed.     Yesterday, I attempted to access my account to ensure my account was still available for the upcoming stimulus payment. I was deeply disappointed to find that my account was locked. After speaking to a customer service representative I was informed that my account was locked due to my previous $1,000 EIDL deposits from the SBA. The representative explained that SBA deposits could not be posted to my account going forward. She attempted to unlock my account, but stated my account was closed and I could never be eligible for Netspend services again. I asked to speak with a supervisor and after 45 minutes of waiting I decided to send an email of my concern.

    I have been with Netspend for over five years, if my account was flagged and on the verge of being locked it would have been professionally ethical to receive a letter or phone call stating the status of my account. Also, I am a small business owner and was completely unaware of not being able to receive SBA deposits into my account. I provided SBA with all of my business documentation and relevant information and was never informed by SBA on not being able to use my personal account for deposits. According to CFPB guidelines and federal consumer financial laws, “banks are to ensure that all consumers have access to markets for consumer financial products and services that are fair and transparent.”

    The Netspend services, in this particular situation have been unfair and completely non transparent. For an FDIC bank to lock and deny me access to my financial account during a worldwide pandemic due to not informing me of policies and procedures beforehand pertaining to SBA deposits is completely unprofessional and does not follow ethical business standards.

    I would like to for a supervisor to review my account and also grant online access to reopen my account. I have never had any suspicious or fraudulent activity on my account. I feel like a vilified criminal for accepting SBA funds into my account. I have had this account for multiple years and use the account to support myself and family throughout this national pandemic. Now, I will not be able to receive my personal stimulus payment into my personal account.

    The correct ethical avenue that should have been taken would have been to inform me of the deposit issues and to then offer business banking products such as a business checking account. Is this how Netspend handles ongoing professional dynamic relationships? This is not a good example of small minority personal or business support in times when the American people and small businesses are hurting the most. Now, my stimulus is pending in my account and Netspend has blocked my phone number from being received and I cannot contact customer service.

    I had a PNC account and my account got compromised. I needed to get my benefits and when I called, Netspend was what they gave me but that was fine. I have it on my phone app and I don't ever have any issues. The app is great. It tells you exactly what you need to know. I wish I could add to the card though. And then, I could just use that. It would be great. I had one card for any kind of money that's owed to me or if something's giving me a refund and they couldn't put it on my Netspend card. I always have to get a prepaid debit card and then give them the routing number. So when it runs out, it runs out. But Netspend is a good card.

    I got the card in the mail and it was pink so I fell in love with it but it was Mastercard only. I was leery about that because I'm used to Visa but it seems to work everywhere I tried to use it. I could also have a custom card made. You could get a picture or something on the card if you want and I liked that about it. Netspend is very simple and I just reload it. I cash my check and put some on the card and pay my bills.

    With Netspend, I like the idea of getting my check two days earlier. I also like being able to pick up the phone and look at my bank statement. It makes it a little bit easier. I do direct deposit. So far, with any questions I’ve had or any concerns, I’d call them and they would work it out for me and would give me the answer.     I use the check cashing feature to do the check cashing online and it's easy. Also, I use the overdraft feature and that works out good. Sometimes, when I don't have it, it goes through. I barely have to call because everything works just fine with the card but they answer all my questions and concerns whenever I do.     I needed the card to have a direct deposit on and since I got it, it's been convenient and easy to use. I go put some in savings and got some over in savings. I really like it. They make you conscious of what you're spending because you get text messages. Also, one time, I lost my card and I needed to get a new card and they sent it to me. I had a card in the drawer that comes a month or so before and they transferred my funds over to it and then ordered my new card for my direct deposit to come in on. That was awesome. They've been helpful and Johnny-on-the-spot. It's better than what you get at the bank.

    I have never applied for a Netspend card and they send me one in the mail, when I tried to call that bank to find out why, it did ask me for my Social Security number. HOW DID THOSE CROOKS GET MY Social Security number? That is outrageous, that Bank needs to be closed by the Government, they are CRIMINALS.

    Today I called customer service due to some disputes on my account. After 4 attempts to talk to a supervisor and 30-45 min a call nobody could help me and I kept getting hung up on. Now I’m getting emails that my card was lost or stolen! 2 of my disputes were resolved but the major ones I was told that they were legit, yeah I made the transactions in exchange for goods that I never received. I tried resolving it with CASHAPP and got nothing but the same lame response that I had to email them and request a refund...

    Well I did that and still nothing that’s when I filed disputes with Netspend. I’ve now waited for 2 months for you guys to tell me your not going to help me? This is outrageous and I’m appalled at the conduct of this company! I want my money back from the disputes it’s obvious they are in the wrong or I wouldn’t have got one of them back! I need to hear from someone with whom can legitimately help me or I’m filing a complaint. Please advise and time is of the essence!     I love NetSpend's app. If you don't know what you're doing it can confuse you a little bit the first time but it's easy to fix. With it, I can transfer money and do everything I need to do from my phone. I've been able to manage my finances much better. It makes things so much easier. I also use direct deposit for my paycheck and I get it a few days earlier. I’m supposed to get paid on Wednesday, but I get paid on Mondays. I had an issue where somebody stole my wallet and I lost my card. I had to order a new one and it was almost a month before I got it. I called NetSpend and the lady whom I spoke with expedited me a card.

    With everything, Netspend works really well. I was telling my grandmother about it as I have a cousin who is 13. She's going on a school trip and my grandmother and mother were talking about getting her a credit card. I said they can put money on my cousin's NetSpend if she needs it and they can do transfers. I also told my aunt that they could see where my cousin is spending the money on their phone because the app tells that.

When card isn't available to scan and loading, would be nice to load automatically with just the number.     I had a RushCard and they closed my account and I didn’t even know that for some odd reason. So, somebody told me to go to ACE Cash Express and get a Netspend card, and I did. When using it, I get a notification after a transaction of how much it was and how much I got left, which helps me manage my finances. I use the direct deposit option and it’s great because I get a notification of when it's gonna post. When I got questions, I spoke with the customer service rep and they were on top of it. I got one of my friends to get a card. I told her that it was manageable and convenient. It was everything that she probably didn't have at the time.
