Using Netspend is easy. I can reload it at Kroger's. That's the main thing -- not having to worry about where to reload it. Also, I have had them call me because they thought something was suspicious. It was a transaction that I didn't approve so I was glad they called.

For those with a short attention span, basically if you are going to purchase and use Netspend services best thing to do is pay with a debit/credit card always so that you can charge back the transaction when Netspend locks your funds. Keep receipts always! I've been using Netspend prepaid card services for the last four months. And the only reason I give even two stars is because of the ease of use... until you need actual customer support. Netspend services are pretty convenient, but once something goes wrong one time, your experience with Netspend is headed towards a gradual decline.
Purchased five Netspend prepaid cards yesterday in store locally. On each card I deposited a sum of $452 and there was a card activation fee of $2.95 for each one as well. This is well over $2,000 that I spent on Netspend.com cards. I went home yesterday and went through the process of activating these cards and four of the five I was able to activate successfully. Had to call customer support to activate the last one.
Waited on hold for over an hour just to activate my card only to be told that now all of my other cards are locked and I'd have to submit documents verifying identity and all of that. Important to note, that in this week alone, my Netspend cards had been locked a total of two times already, both of which I was able to regain access by submitting my DL, SS Card, and Utility bill. This was the third time in a week that it happened.
This time, however my document verification was declined and Netspend services closed permanently with over $2,200 that I'm unable to access. Customer support says it's because of risk factors, however I have never had one chargeback, not one transaction dispute, and have never violated NetSpend's terms of service. I have already filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, and CFPB as well as a police report. Hopefully my funds are made accessible to me within a few days as I will be escalating this to a legal matter tomorrow.

Setting up with Netspend wasn’t difficult at all. I just went online and then they sent the card to me. Then when I got it, I called them and they activated it for me. With Netspend, I get my direct deposit two days faster.

I’m very happy with the service that I'm receiving some Netspend. The reps are very knowledgeable, because I asked the young man if there was anyone that I could speak to. It’s not often that if you call somebody, you would speak with someone and they have the knowledge of their job.

The reps are nice, courteous and actually listen, unlike the people from Cash App. It's also a lot easier to manage my finances with Netspend, especially since I get the texts telling me my balance, and because I'm on SSI, my reloads are automatic from the government. The only improvement I could suggest for day to day shopping, like going to Walmart, is putting a chip in for more than just the basic card because almost all stores have chip readers. It might make it easier to use some of the ATMs too. The one next door doesn't even recognize the card because it doesn't have a chip in it. Still, I like my Netspend card a lot. I recommended it to my dad and my nephew but they haven’t signed up.

I bought a card to pay my bills and they won’t let me. Now I’ll probably lose my lights and gas because they are making me wait two weeks. The card they gave me is no good. And only spend $25 online. Means I can’t pay my gas bill. Can’t pay my electric bill. Why would a company not let me have my money? Worst ever and have to wait two weeks before I can get my money back. Lousy, lousy, lousy.

I get disability way before time, and I like it. I also enjoy going to the reload location that I go for. Netspend is good. If companies take money off your card and you don’t have them do it, Netspend will make a way for you to get your money back.

I drive a truck, so I’m always on the road and after I get paid, I can use my card anywhere I want. I get to pay my credit card bills and use the card to send money, Western Union or MoneyGram, to my kids up north. I was in Pennsylvania the other day, and I used my card twice to buy grocery for my kids. My experience, so far, has been great ‘cause Netspend is looking out for me and the alert is up to date. I got a message from them saying somebody tried to use my card in Jersey, buying a TV. They shut it down and that was good, ‘cause I wasn’t living in Jersey.

I had a card sent to me and I use it online or when I don't want to make a cash purchase. It’s working out. With Netspend, there are no hidden fees and it’s all upfront. They tell you what’s up. They could help people a little and do an overdraft though.

Once you get through all that recording stuff, and eventually cut some of that crap out, it’s gonna be good. Other than that, you got to sit there forever to get through. It ain’t like old days where you actually talk to someone. You can talk to them but it takes forever. I use Netspend to take care of bills, and I also do direct deposit. Every time you make a purchase, Netspend sends alert to you, whether you withdraw or you get a deposit, and that’s the most positive thing.

Company closed my debit card and saying they can’t activated my card because of the previous card they closed in few months but I told them that I didn’t want a fraud claim to be open and that the charge is valid so they closed it and I’m unable to use any Netspend cards in the future.

I ordered a new card that was never received and the old card is not recognized by your automatic telephone system. I have not been able to get through to a customer service representative because the prompt does not transfer the call to a human being and the $22 that was on my account was not returned to me because I never received the replacement card.
I also tried to make a payment using my Netspend Business Card three or four times to Coterie which is an insurance company and although they stated that the payment went through they continued to bill me stating that the card did not work. They canceled my policy. I did not have trouble using the card with other companies around the same time and I am certain that I had enough funds to cover their $20 payment. I also have trouble logging into my online accounts often. Is it possible that someone is working for your company as well as other companies and using the personal information of your customers?

My experience with Netspend has been great. I like the convenience that I get from it. I spend a lot online and in stores, I use my credit card, but I like to use my Netspend card for some reason. And if you have a savings with Netspend too, it bills interest in your savings.

I used my bank card on 4/21 at a gas station. About an hour later $1009 was taken from my account from a bank atm in a town over two hours from where I work and live. I filed a dispute as soon as I got the text messages about my account balance and canceled the card. It was in my possession the whole time and a skimmer was obviously used. I sent them screen shots and a copy of my police report. It’s now 5/2 and no one has even contacted me about the process or where they are at. Still no money back onto my card either. I send emails to their dispute email that provided to me with no response. You need to keep your clients updated on the process and what’s going on instead of leaving them hanging. Claim #**. Netspend is great. Besides the fees being a little too expensive, otherwise it's a great card to have. It's an easy convenient card. Setting up Direct Deposit is the most convenient option. The different designs are a nice option also.

I have tried many prepaid cards in the past, and this is by far the best. It has all the benefits of an actual "Bank Card" without having to deal with any local Banks. Very easy to use as well. I have used some of the features like Mobile check cash without any problems at all and I enrolled in direct deposit. Thanks everyone for great service and a perfect working card.

The prices for taking money out is outrageous. I can't spend my money without worrying about the amount that's taken out for every transaction. Would be better to have less charges... To take out money equaling up to 500 went too fast.

Netspend has helped me because I needed somewhere to put my money and be able to continue with getting my direct deposit. So it's really been a plus for me. Before, they closed my account because there was suspicious activity. So they were pretty much doing their job. It was great.

Someone was trying to get my credit card information and they said that I tried to buy something on a website. I got in touch with Netspend and they said that whatever happened on the website, it was okay. They were not going to do anything about it. So, I stopped using Netspend. It messed up my money by using their card. The reload service was great but when it came down to them trying to help me trying to get my money back on something that I did not buy, that was not acceptable.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The absolute worst! Bought a card and tried to activate it but said that’s I couldn’t because of fraudulent activity? How??? The card isn’t even active yet. While on hold with customer service, they sent me back to the main menu more than once. To start all over. Spent over 45 mins in the phone two days in a row. Now they say my only option to get my money back is if they issue a check that will take 10 business days to receive. OH AND IT WILL COST ME $5.95 just to get the check issued! What a load of crap!!

I've always liked Netspend. When I get money, I can load it myself. I don't have to worry about standing in line and waiting at a bank. The app takes a little bit of getting used to but it's pretty easy to use. It's easy to access and the biometric part of it just came out, which is pretty cool. But it would be better not to be charged to put money on the card from the stores that you go into or where you go to reload them.
The customer service is good. The first time I had a problem with logging in, they had me back up and running within 15 minutes. I only had to wait one time whenever I got my card with my name on it and tried to get it reactivated. I had money put on it and it took about five days just to be able to use it. But I understand, being a new card and going through the activation process, you usually have a few setbacks.

I’ve had Netspend for a long time and everything is good if I can just get the overdraft thing to work. Still, they are a lot better than others. I'm able to see a bit more in the app rather than doing it the old school way, but I could always just call the number. Customer service also likes to get straight to getting it done and get off the phone.

I like Netspend because I can deposit direct with them and I can pay my bills. I don't have to be going to the places, especially now that gas is so expensive. I just make a phone call and I get paid up. Also, I've been doing better than before in managing my finances because I'm getting savings on it. They don't charge me for a lot of the things that I pay for and I could save it for something else. And I love the Anytime Alerts. When I pay something, they tell me, "Your payment has been made and your balance is this." Or I get an alert if somebody's trying to use my card at certain stores. It's a great card to get and they take care of you, just give them a call.

The card is good. I like it. I like having the money put into my card. I have it on my hand. I don’t have to be on some ATM to use it and all of a sudden they're not working right or they're closed. Ever since Netspend came out, I’ve had one, and I like to use it because I can only use the money I have in there. It keeps me from going over, and I like it because I can pay just about any bill. Anywhere I go, I can use it, and I don’t have to worry about overdraft fees. I like Anytime Alerts too. It lets me know what’s been paid, the balance on the card and what’s been deposited on it. Managing my money is just putting it on the card and knowing what I got to pay. I pay all that I have to pay off, and I keep what’s left over there then I use it for something that I like to use it on. I've been doing really good. My experience with the reps has been real good as well. They’re very helpful, don't have no attitude and have good patience with me. They did their best to explain things to me. Also, I like it because it’s not a machine. I talk to a real person.

I don't like that I can obit l only have five accounts. I forget to take my card with me, buy a new card, and next thing I know I have 18 cards. Out of the 18 cards, only five are registered because of that five card rule. I've had 8 of those cards stolen. So now I'm missing all kinds of my money and can not get it back. Next, I filed a dispute long ago and have not heard anything back about it. What's the hold up?

I have had a couple of mishaps with my NetSpend card(s).... But, it got handled... Went through having to wait for my money to be returned back to my card, after it was Hacked.... I didn't like that, but, NetSpend handled it for me.

Every time I have needed to speak with any Customer Service Representative, they have been more than nice and helpful. I am very pleased with Netspend. Each call made to Netspend was not an error on their end at all. They have helped me with someone stealing my info and getting it right. I have been with Netspend for approximately 12 years and will continue to use it along with my family.

I have had this accounts for over 10 years. I loved it. Then someone in Amsterdam got a hold of my card # and made online purchases every minute until I could log on to cancel my card. I called immediately and was told that I couldn’t dispute until they went through. Then I called back and the man on the phone was so incredibly rude to me that I decided to just pull my money out of this account. I wish your company was like it used to be but pretty much you suck!

Netspend cards are so easy to use and refill that I don't know why I haven't used them always? I will do so in the future, I just put money on a card and make my purchase, I no longer worry about card thieves during purchases with Netspend cards.

NetSpend has helped me a lot to keep my finances in order. Since using my card, I don't have to worry about any overdraft fees. I can't spend what I don't have and it lets me know when I have a low amount. That way, I'll know when I need to add money. Also, direct deposits are good. With that, I can get my check a day or two earlier. It just depends on the institution that your check is coming from.

I like Netspend. I have it to where I get a text every time I use it, so I know how much, where, and when I am spending. If you can afford doing the text feature, then go for it. That's a safety feature I like, and I hate calling to see how much is on my card constantly. The first couple of times I called customer service was strange, because I had a hard time understanding what one of them was saying. The third time I called though, the girl was great. Two out three is pretty good. I hate going into the store not knowing how much I have on my card as well, and I always know with Netspend. It's really good.
At first, I thought the fees were a little hard, but considering everything they do, with keeping track of when and where my card is being used, it’s fine. I'm very comfortable with that part, and I would definitely recommend Netspend to somebody else. I do direct deposits from work, and sometimes, Netspend pays me two days before I get paid on Wednesday. Usually, it's Monday, or Tuesday, the latest. Also, I’m doing my taxes tomorrow, and I’m gonna use my Netspend card.

I use Netspend mainly for transferring funds from Cash App or my PayPal, which I do quite frequently. I went through some of my other Netspend cards and they charge you $1.50 for this, or if you go here and do this, it's $1.50. I had certain amount of funds available and they weren't available apparently. I made a purchase and the money seemed like it was in my account but my card was declined. I checked my balance and the money was taken away and never put back in my account.
We offer several fee plans including a Pay As You Go. Plans can be changed at any time through the Online Account Center or over the phone with Customer Service.

When I did NetSpend, I was told, “Don't worry about the overdrafts.” But I came to a problem when I was 20 cents short and my purchase wouldn't go. I was really upset because I live month to month on my Social Security. Other than that, my card is fantastic. I've learned how to pay my bills on it too. At the ACE check cashing store where I pull my money out sometimes, I was getting a check cashed and having so much problem with mail delivery, it'd be a week later. I talked to Erica who is the sweetest girl and she showed me how to get it sent to my NetSpend card. She has really helped me out a lot.

I get my Social Security and my disability benefits on Netspend and I use direct deposit but I’m trying to find out how I can reload. The only problem I have with Netspend’s customer service is that they always seem to give me someone that I don't understand from a different nationality, not an English person.

I have been with them 8-9 years or more. Well 2 weeks ago after getting paid I received a text from them stating that I needed to call because it may be a problem with my account. I called and was informed that the compliance department closed my account because it was high risk for fraud. So I was told that I would receive a check in the mail in 7-10 business days. So I called today to check on supposed check and was told oh your address needed to be verified so no check was issued and we can verify your address today and send you a check in 7-10 business days. When explained to them that I have bills and children and could it be expedited as it has already been 2 weeks of waiting oh no 7 to 10 business days. They are sorry. So I told them that I was going to get a lawyer.
It's ridiculous to play with people's hard earned money like that. I understand if they wanted to protect my money but let me know BEFORE and I could have paid my rent and car insurance and bought groceries and got the rest out for gas money and such and THEN close it. It's crazy. I don't suggest them unless you have money to give away. And if you have them I suggest switching before you are like me, go to sleep with $1300 and wake up with none.

I had a Netspend account for at least a year and was very happy. One evening I received a text asking about a purchase from a few days prior. The text message did not indicate it was from Netspend in any way - nothing on that message said it was Netspend. At 1st I thought I was being scammed. Then I thought it was from the company Yidio which I did have and I dunno why but I thought they were asking me if I wanted to cancel. I replied no to what I thought was another purchase and my card was cancelled. I called Netspend and they said they couldn't release the card.
I was traveling alone during winter and I don't carry cash because it's not safe. The next town with gas was small and did not have any place that sells Netspend. When I called Netspend again they told me to Western Union myself and had no care in the world I had to hitchhike to the next town. Once I got there the Western Union didn't work. I didn't know what to do except go back to my car and try to call people. I had to hitchhike again but this time I was almost sexually assaulted. I have never been so scared in my life.
I ended up getting away and running into the desert in 38 deg weather. I was found passed out in a ball by a patrol. I was life flighted to a hospital next town over. It's going to take me a really long time to get over this or be alone or leave my house. Netspend please please please. - I don't care what the text message says - please indicate the message is from you. Every other bank does! You have lost a lot of good customers over this. I referred 17 people to you from my work. All have since dropped. Again please indicate messages from you are you!

I love Netspend and people should go for it. If I put money on the card and every time I use the card, they send me alert to let me know what I used it for and where it went and how much it was or how much I got left over. Someone took $59 off my card and they shut it down right then. They sent me an alert for my card and asked me was it me or did I give permission to let somebody get $59 on the card. I texted back no. And when they sent that, I called them and they explained to me. The rep said she was gonna send me a new card and within about three days, I got it. The reps were wonderful. Everything I asked or got a problem with, they got right down to the source.

This review is about a transaction dispute. I paid for something on February 1st and was charged the amount, again, on February 4th. I went rather cross-eyed putting my side of the story, my experience together, to protect my overdrawn status. I liked getting my copies on paper to decide the ultimatum. I notice some friendliness and not so eager to shut my card down in correspondence, and each proper experience strengthens my account. The best way to save and spend, what I load onto a card. Otherwise, where's the quarters? Thank you.

I don't understand why there is a 1.50 charge for every transaction. I don't believe I will be replenishing the balance when it has been used up. While it may be convenient, I discovered it's just as easy to use a debit/credit card for purchases. Am I missing other advantages for using a pre-paid debit card??? Please respond.

The only thing I don’t like with Netspend is that if I’m not at a computer or something where I can check it online, I get charged 50 cents when I call about my account. But the customer service is a delight. They are always polite, help you any way they can and never been rude. It’s been good. The app is perfect and I like the idea of being in control of my card. If I feel like I have misplaced it, I can cut it off or on. I don't have to worry about calling and telling them I need a new card, and I got to wait to get it, when I probably misplaced it.

The customer support is good and I love Netspend except that I wish they would have a better incentive. If you've been with them for a long time, they should at least take out the fee that they're charging. I have direct deposit with them. But I’m disabled and I don’t have a car, and if I need to reload, which is very seldom, Moneytree is walking distance from where I live.

I don't like the fact that you got to pay a fee on your own money. I ended up getting scammed. But I wrote to Netspend and everything worked out right. When I called customer service in that, they took care of it as well as they could. If they can't really do away with the fees because they got to make their money somehow, then reduce them a little bit. Besides that, everything's good.

I love my Netspend card. Once I upload funds, it's available right away. Also, I love the fact that when I log on, I can immediately see my balance and what my withdrawals are right there. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to use the PayPal for it. Other than that, I've enjoyed this. I got the Netspend because I didn't want to have my direct bank account linked to when I purchase on Amazon. So, I use my Netspend for shopping online and that was the whole purpose of me getting it. I enjoy it that way. I would recommend it to friends and family.

I like that Netspend is a Visa card. It's worked out great for me with purchases that I need to make. When I refill it, I just go into Walmart customer service and add money. Then I spoke with customer service one time to change the correspondence for the mailing address and that was the only problem I had.

When I would cash my retirement check, I'd have to go to a check cashing place, and the fee was more than I'd really like to give up. They had the Netspend card there. That's where I picked it up. I use its Anytime Alerts and account transfers and those are pretty convenient. The direct deposit is also simple. I really like my Netspend card. It's been very good for as long as I've had it.

My card got stolen and I did a dispute. I let them know that the person who I thought it was knew my code. The people are nice but they denied me. After that, I didn’t feel safe anymore so I was gonna switch over to a regular bank. I like the app though.

Received a card as a gift, which I assumed was like an ordinary gift card. Set it aside and forgot about it until I discovered it ~1yr later. The card was never activated. I tried to activate it, but was not allowed to due to the time even though the card itself said it was still valid (according to "Valid Thru" date). Ok, so they ship me another. It arrive, I activate it, and find they've been charging me $6/mo every month! Apparently there is a hidden inactivity fee if not used within 90 days... and that timer starts from the moment someone put money on it.
I called to inquire about this and explained how the card wasn't even activated. After 20 minutes on the phone with them and essentially being repeatedly told "it is what it is", eventually they offered to give credit me back 3 of the 13 charges. Better than nothing, but they basically stole $60. If you get or have this card, you MUST use it right away or suffer the hidden consequences.

I wanted to teach my 15-year old son how to use a card and be responsible. He was too young to have his own account so I had to give Netspend to him on my account. I have the Anytime Alert and that lets me know every time he uses the card. My son is very good at managing his money and he uses it for real quality purposes.
Whenever I have a problem, I call customer service and they always satisfy me and get the problem done. Netspend works. The only thing that I don't like about this prepaid stuff is the reloading part. They charge me every time I reload which is crazy. Other than that, I love the prepaid. I highly recommend a Netspend card to people, so much that they keep sending me cards even though I already got one.

My ex-wife put $20 on Paypal and it got put on a bitcoin account. When they put the money back on the account, they closed it and said there was wrongful activity going on. The same thing happened with GoBank and another one too. I tried Netspend and I only had a problem one time when I forgot my password. I was trying to turn it on and they kept locking my account. Now, I’ve got it all set and figured out. Call and explain to them that you need to change your password so they don't keep locking you out. I've been using Netspend quite frequently and I like it. I put money on it and buy stuff for my car. I got my taxes going into it too.

I used Netspend about 10, 15 years ago and when I finally found them again, I clamped on. I was not losing them this time. Netspend is wonderful and very convenient. I like the idea that I could go and load the card up, put money on it, and have my own privacy with the card. It's very helpful and handy. I use it for paying bills. The reload feature is very simple. There’s a Winn-Dixie right down the street from me. I use them and they get the little fee out. Everything's good.

I got Netspend to start helping pay the bills that were behind. I choose Netspend over the other ones and I've thrown all the other junk cards away. Initially, I did not know how to do the refill and I kept getting new Netspend cards. I know how to do that now and that was because of Netspend. I have the Netspend All-Access.
I've been back and forth with Netspend's customer service. There are older people like myself and we have a hard enough time logging in, let alone dealing with technology. I really don't know what I'm doing, so there is frustration between me and customer service. I would call back and say, "Nobody's understanding what I'm saying." At that point, I'm about in tears, and they pick up on it. They take the time to help me, instead of telling me to get online then hang up on me. Another thing was I didn't know Netspend's charges and I didn't like it at first. But they're the best out of all of the other companies.

I've been using direct deposit into my savings account, and I would recommend Netspend to people because they're fast. The agents have been doing good too. If I need to make a dispute, it doesn't take that long for me to make the dispute and for the dispute to be processed, which is about 20 days or a month. I just add money at Walmart or Family Dollar. It's easy. I'm already shopping, then I'm already there. The only thing is, some places wouldn't take NetSpend as a form of payment because it’s prepaid. I got hacked a couple of times. NetSpend gives me an alert when the deposits are going in. And it was easier for me to see if somebody did take out what wasn't supposed to. But I don't have that anymore. I called as soon as I heard about the hacking. The rep told me my money would be back in my account within three to five days. But it has never been. Other than that, I'm pleased with NetSpend. I like the convenience.

Netspend worked good for me. I'm running on the $1.50 per purchase. Whenever I buy something, I'm charged a dollar and a half instead of electing to go the flat rate per month so I'm saving seven bucks or so a month. Also, they make it quite easy to get ahold of them. On Messenger, I’d put BAL out if I wanna know my balance. And I have the alerts going. It's real good to have and I appreciate that because there are those debit cards that let scammers run all over the thing.

I think it would be wonderful if you would offer a personal loan program. It's hard for many to get any credit and in these days and times we all need a little help. Most banks have loan programs, and Netspend should be no different. Also the overdraft fee targets mostly low income people. You should at least give more time to pay the overdraft.

The mobile app is very organized and easy to use. I also like that Netspend sends text alerts whenever you use your card. I've spoken to customer service multiple times, and they're good. I also have the app and I like that it shows me my money, where it's going or how I'm spending it. I get my money direct deposited, so I just pay my bills with it through online. I do everything online, but when I wanna take my money, I go to a regular bank. Netspend needs to have more locations for their banks. It would be nice if they could expand ‘cause they have been out for a while, and I know a lot of people that use Netspend, especially here in New York City. Other than that, I like Netspend. I've had it for a lot of years.

Green Dot started to make people go online for registration for their regular cards. I don't think they do it by phone anymore, and I don't like that. One time, just to see how good their security is, I answered my security question wrong and they locked up my whole account immediately where nobody could get to it. Plus, the things that I had to do to go back to be able to get it open again were awesome. Their reps have also been very polite, very professional, and very courteous. Also, I reload the card when I need to, and some of my customers pay me through Netspend as well. I get direct deposits right to my account. I like Netspend because of the freedom. My son bought a card for his daughter for school, and he bought me one so that I would have one as well. I don't use a credit card, and this way, if I'm broke down or if I do something, I have a bit of extra money with me. I don't like credit cards for the simple reason it's too easy to steal them. I use my Netspend card so that it's like a debit card. I prepay for it so that I can only have that much money there in case somebody wants to steal it.
Another thing is you go somewhere then somebody tries to take your money by whatever means, they can get into your credit system. With a Netspend card, they can't, because all I got in there is what I put in there. If I hand my card to my grandson and say, "I want you to fill up the gas cans for my lawnmower," and he decides he wants to fill up his car, the only thing that he can do is what's in it. If there's only $30 in it, then he could only spend $30, period. I won't have an overdraft on it. My son, my granddaughter and I use Netspend all the time, and I recommend it to friends.

I go to Dollar General and put money on the card if I need to, but I have direct deposit through my work too. People say that you get your check two days early, but that's not true. Maybe government checks, they might move it two days before, but regular paychecks, they don't. I'm a salary worker, so thankfully, I get paid $350 a week. Also, I'm new to Netspend and I found out that the card doesn't have a chip in it that you can slide, so I'm not even gonna try and put it in the ATM.
I've experienced identity theft before, but I am not afraid of identity theft with Netspend. I don't feel people could just steal all my money off of this card. I also feel comfortable giving my Netspend number, that people are not gonna steal any identity. I tell everybody that I work with, "Go get a Netspend card and put your money on that from work." Netspend just sent me the advantage card, and I haven't activated that yet, but with the advantage card instead of the prepaid card, you get more incentives like no fees at some places. You still have to pay your ATM fee though.

Enrolling with Netspend was great, and it was easy to understand. I put some money on my card and use it, and so far, the card does absolutely fantastic. I'm not getting any surprises with it, and when I pay a bill over the phone with it, it's faster and easier. Keep up the good work, Netspend. I recommend it to everybody. I tell them to get on the ball and get it, because it's a safer card than my other one was. I was using Miles & More before, and I had several problems with them. It got hacked too.

Sometimes I have a terrible time with customer service. I had the worst trouble when I was trying to initiate the Visa card. The girl's accent was so bad and I couldn't understand what she was saying. My niece was standing right here beside me and I kept looking at her to see if she could tell me what the girl was saying, and my niece couldn't understand it either. On the other hand, I have spoken to people since that had an accent, and I could understand what they were saying.
Netspend keeps turning down something I might buy, saying it might be fraud, and it's not because I've ordered from those people before. I also called one time about something they turned down and they said I had five minutes to send it through again. Five minutes with me is not enough time. I need to be able to use the card like I use my bank card, and so far, I haven't been able to do that. I also don't know how to go online and check the balance on my card. I asked the company and they told me how and I still couldn't do it. I'm totally computer illiterate. I followed their directions and it still wouldn't let me online to view my account. I am going to call them back and see about getting to where I could check up on my card and know how much money is in it.
Right now on my Visa, I pay $10 a month for charges, and I want to get a Netspend Mastercard as well. A lot of things that I order online from surveys, you don't pay for the product, you get it free. You just pay postage, and you get $5 off for using a Mastercard. However, I don't want to pay $10 a month for both a Visa and a Mastercard. I'm assuming both cards come from the same place, and it only makes sense if I'm using two of them that I shouldn't have to pay $10 a month for both. I don't care to split it and pay $5 a month for the Visa and $5 a month for the Mastercard. That would be okay. I got a Netspend Mastercard in the mail and I will be more than glad to use it if they will do that, but I haven't called them about it.

My relative purchased 3 of these cards for my family for Christmas. She has purchased other gift cards and there has never been an issue. This card, however, was a nightmare! In order to activate it and access the card that already had money loaded on it, I had to provide all my personal information. They claimed it was "because of the Patriot Act" that they needed my social security number, my date of birth, and my address. Then they pulled a credit report and opened an account in my name.
Again, this was all so I could use the funds that were already loaded on it by my relative. I was forced to create an account and provide all my personal information. I know that them claiming it's "because of the Patriot Act" is not legitimate since no other gift card company has done this. I highly recommend that unless you want an account with this company, do not purchase these gift cards. They are a scam to get the personal information of the gift card recipient.

I had been a customer of Skylight Netspend for many years (as a back up debit / checking account) as this is not a real bank. Recently someone fraudulently withdrew money out of an ATM machine and my card was not missing or stolen! They must have used a sophisticated scanning system. Once I found this out, I immediately closed my account and waited until 9 am to speak to one of the "robotic customer service reps." This is a horrible company. When you call them it's who/what/when/where and you have to keep starting over, again and again, repeating yourself. This is NOT a professional financial institution. I recommend that you avoid this company at all costs. I have to wait 10 days for them to "investigate" my claim/case/refund my money even though I emailed them several times about the dispute and the police report for grand larceny.

Right now, I haven't been able to deposit my money. I'm going to mobile to deposit my check and with the feature, it doesn't let me go in. A little square comes out and doesn't let me do anything. I don't know if it's my phone but it keeps turning the page. Other than that, the card is easy to get. NetSpend helps when I call customer service but sometimes, the way they tell me, we can't do it over the phone. I called customer service, and they gave me another number. But I haven't been able to talk to somebody.

I've been using Netspend for years. When I called with my regular Netspend card the last time, the lady canceled out my card. There was nothing wrong with my card. All I was calling the teller was that I had subscribed to a service online and I canceled it and then they charged me for it. So, she canceled out my card. But I had an all-access card through Netspend and I went on and I got that one activated. I like overdrafts. I like to call and check my balance or either check it on the app. I also like the transaction, how they track, and they tell you your spending. My experience has been good.

It's been three days early sometimes, and that's a whole lot better than waiting on the 3rd of the month. The alerts are excellent. I can't overspend on Netspend and that's a good thing. I use it to pay bills. I like the alerts that I get. They tell me each time I add money. When I spend money, they tell me exactly how much money I have. If they believe that somebody stole my card and tried to fraud me, they give me a text message and I like that. Then the longest time I've ever had to wait when I loaded my card was at Walgreens and it took about four minutes. Everywhere else I've loaded it at was almost instantly. The representatives always got my issue solved. I recommend all my friends to get Netspend right now.

Netspend is good for me. But I got to change my thing because they charge me every time to use it and I don't use it a lot. I just need the card to pay bills. But I have no problem with Netspend and I've been able to manage my finances very well by using them. I had one incident where somebody from New York stole some money out of my account and when I told Netspend, they got him, fixed the issue, and returned my money.

A friend of mine was with Netspend and they recommended to me. So I tried it and I've loved it. I can go online and look at my account, and everything's right there. It tells me if I used my card, how much has been spent on food, and how much has been spent on general merchandise. Their reps have been wonderful, too. If I make a charge, the Anytime Alerts automatically comes to my phone. I also have it set up where it goes to my son's phone, so nothing can get by me. I love that it’s secured like that. Netspend is a very secured banking. You get to have your alerts and it doesn't take over 10 minutes, your money's there. And I have recommended it to at least 15 people, 10 of my friends has got their Netspend, and they’re very satisfied.

With NetSpend, I can get my direct deposit two days earlier. They let me know when it's being processed. A lot of the other places I went to like Chime and RushCard always have default and discrepancies in their cards and plans. Ever since I've been with NetSpend, I've never had any discrepancy. Even when there's something on NetSpend that isn't supposed to be there, they do their own investigation and they remove that and put the money back on the card. Last month, I found a default. They didn't return my $20 payment but I didn't worry about that. I didn't say anything because NetSpend said it was gonna take a while. But the $20 never made it on the card. But I'm still not mad because of that and I'm still on NetSpend.
When I lost my child's mother due to breast cancer, I told NetSpend about it and they switched the card to the breast cancer pink card for me. I like them compared to anybody else I have been with. What puts NetSpend above everybody including banks and credit unions is that they do not charge all that extra for overdraft. It’s a certain amount you had to get to before they even start charging the overdraft. Also, they only let you go a certain length of overdraft. So that’s like budgeting and managing your money which is great.

I've had my Netspend for years and I love it. I use it for everything, including paying my bills, buying stuff that I wanna buy online, and for groceries and gas. When there was some illegal activity on my card, they canceled it, which I told them to, then they sent me a new card. That went well and I didn't have any problems with their customer service.
My husband is a truck driver, and with him being gone so much, he'll put money on his card then I can transfer to mine, which makes it nice. I don't have to sit and wait weeks on paychecks. Once in a while, we load the card at Walmart and it's five cents cheaper, but most of the time, I get reloaded at Dollar General. We have a Dollar General five minutes from us, so it works out well. We have done it at Casey's too. They're $1 higher, though.

I have the app where I can manage my transactions as well as see if I pay the bill that it's paid on time and the money that I put on there when it gets there. Every time I put money on my card, it sends me a text message so I know it's automatically on there. I don't have to sit around and wait, and I can always go paperless. I get a lot of alerts too. I have my Apple Pay and everything goes there. They alert me on that and if I'm low, they alert me too. Every time tax season comes up, they say, “You know you can have it loaded on your Netspend card.”
I used to have direct deposit on Netspend a long time ago, but I switched it. It's good for direct deposits though because it goes automatically on there. Some direct deposits might take up to 24 hours, but with Netspend, it's fast. Their reps are very hands-on too. If I call, I don't have to wait on hold for that long, and if I said, "I paid for this, but I didn't receive it. But I'm trying to get a refund," they'll be right on it and handle everything for me.

I liked the benefits Netspend had. Sometimes they lock up my card when I go out of town. It stopped me on hotels, when they take their payment early, and they lock it because they think it's not real. I get to the hotel and I couldn't even use my card. That has happened three times with them. Otherwise, when I dispute something, I usually get a good resolution from them. The app is very handy. I love that. That is easy to manage and see my account. I like the alerts coming to my phone. Also, I like that the direct deposit comes a bit early and that it gives me that option for the overdraft protection. Those are the best things besides the money being available in my account when I need it.

Netspend served me so well. I've never had any trouble with the service. It's monitored. I don't know how they're able to detect fraud, but that has been caught immediately twice in the amount of time that I've had it. I get a text immediately as soon as I make a purchase. So, a running balance is always right there. It tells me exactly how much is available and how much was charged to my card. I used it overseas with no problem. That's an aspect that does make a difference. Maybe it doesn't affect everybody, but I was in Ireland and I used it all over Ireland with no issues at all.

I wanted a debit card that was separate from my bank account that I will use for ordinary things like gas. My paycheck goes on my Netspend. I like Netspend because it tells me exactly how much I have and where I spent my money. About six weeks ago, I was at the emergency room with my son. These two bills came up for $15 each from some clinic. So, I asked the receptionist, "Are you taking this out of my account?" She said, “No. We don't do that. That’s odd.” I called Netspend right away and they canceled my card so that the $30 didn't go through. It was someplace out of Florida. I said, "I live in Tulsa. I don't live in Florida." Netspend does a lot to help me. When I went to get a temporary card while I was waiting for mine because it was canceled, the lady over there called. I was on the phone with her for probably half hour. They were checking out everything and asking me all these questions.

Netspend has come in handy for years. When I get paid, I just put my paycheck on it where I cash my check, and I pay all my bills online with it. It's easy and convenient, and I love it. Customer service is very good as well. In fact, I got a text message from Netspend last week saying that somebody tried to make a purchase for $39 and asked me if I was the one that did it. I put no, then I contacted them. They said that they're going to cancel my card and send me one within three days, but I got it within two. Netspend is great for me. I'm very happy with it, and I'll be using it for the rest of my life.

I used Netspend a few years ago then recently, I signed up for a card for Brinks through Netspend. It's a card I like to use when I'm using the internet or ordering something online without using my bank or credit card to protect myself. The reps were also very direct and they helped me with my problem very honestly. They got it straightened out and I liked their service. Netspend could serve any needs that people need, depending on what their needs are. I tell people that their customer service is great and that they should go ahead and use that service because it worked for me just fine. I've had no problems with them. It's a beautiful company and it works beautifully. I have several reload locations in my neighborhood that are close to me that I can utilize too.

I like Netspend because of the early direct deposit, never had any issues with getting my money on time. And overdraft protection has helped me out a few times. But.. The mobile check capture is ridiculous! I usually have to try at least 5 times to take the pictures until they finally accept it. The first 5 times they deny my printed check from my employers payroll company and all it ever says is we cannot accept this check, please try another. But I know they accept it because the payroll company is a verified company and actually uses netspend as an option for electronic deposits! And if you don't get the lighting and the check perfectly aligned it denies you. This needs to be fixed.
And lastly, a few months ago I was on vacation and I got a text asking if I had made a certain charge. I texted back no because I didn't recognize the company but then immediately afterwards had realized it wasn't a hacker, I had made that charge, I called customer service where they are very nice but communicating is very difficult due to language barriers on both ends. Had to give my name multiple times for them to spell it right. Anyway I told them I made a mistake and asked if it wasn't too late to not cancel my card.
Well they canceled it within 3 minutes of me texting back and I didn't get mad because it was my mistake but I explained I was on vacation and had no other form of payment on me. All the lady told me was she could overnight me a card but it would get sent to my house. I asked for the overnight choice and if they could waive the fee since I was in a bind and I was told no, no exceptions, I then got a little louder with the woman and asked her how I was supposed to get home. She said either get a Moneygram which of course has a fee or find someone with a netspend account.
Ended up having to use my father's credit card to pay for the rest of my vacation because netspend blocked the money gram and even when I decided to pay the overnight fee my card didn't show up till a week later. Netspend needs to work on their customer service training and make the check capture more user friendly! Or go with a different company, not Indigo for the check capture.

I enjoy Netspend's services. I haven't used the app very much, but it seems pretty easy to follow along with. I called customer service when I was trying to do something with the account. I had to have them look up things and follow it up. Netspend is fairly easy to work with and it's been beneficial to me.

I ordered a card online, never received it. Call and spoke to a useless customer service rep who kept asking the same questions over and over which made me so mad. She supposedly sent a replacement card. Never got that either. Then they had the nerve to ask me to send them my personal information, when did a prepaid card need DL, or utility bill. Why would someone need that information on a prepaid card. When I called about this the customer service representative (another woman) that did not know what she was doing, sent me over to a male representative who understood what I was saying. PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS CARD. TRY ANOTHER COMPANY. Our money is too critical at this time to deal with untrustworthy companies.

It's be helpful if the overdraft coverage was $20 instead of ten. And purchase protection was included. I bought a birthday present for my wife and the company screwed me, never got the order, can't get in touch with the company, the email is no longer valid, so now I'm just screwed and out of the $42 I spent.

They are fair and they notify you of activity on your card that looks suspicious and they ask you if you made this attempt before money is taken out of your account. I would recommend Netspend to my friends and family. You get paid up to three days earlier than everyone else.

I use the Netspend card when I pay a bill. I load money on my card because I have a main card that I get my money on and I have an auto pay taken out of there every month. So instead of me getting my paycheck there every month, I take the money. I transfer the money off one card into the other card. I go to an H-E-B or Walmart and reload because the Netspend place, like the ACE Check Cashing place, charge too much to put money and take money off your card. Also, when you use the card at the gas pump, it shouldn't be charged a whole lot of money. It shouldn't be a $40 charge to put $10 worth of gas in my car. But as long as I've been using Netspend, I've never had any bad experience with them.

I need to have Netspend as a convenience to use the ability to put cash onto it and use it, and not carry cash in your pocket because it’s dangerous nowadays. I always reload at Walmart and it’s very quick to do that but there’s a new program and Netspend sent me the ability to get into that. It's an upgrade from the regular card that I got. There are more features on that one but I haven’t been able to get myself into it. I came to see if I could make a call and upgrade without getting on the internet and doing this, that and the other. But I couldn’t upgrade over the phone the way I’d like to do that on my other ones. I was uneasy and disappointed with that. I tried to speak with an agent three times and it was round and round. It was a little frustrating. Plus the time wait when they put you on hold. So, I’m glad I wasn’t holding my break. Talking to computers normally irritates me.
I had an incident one time where my charge got denied and it was one that I was going to make online. I don’t use my card for anything online but it was something that I was gonna get in this one program. Netspend said that I needed to call them and I did. They said they wanted to make sure it was me. I appreciated that they were protecting me.

I use NetSpend for a TV channel that I stream on. I got an email because somebody tried using my card. So, we canceled it right away. NetSpend was super nice and they notified me immediately. They sent me a new card. I called a lady and the money I had on my other card was transferred to the new one. It was a five-minute thing and it was just simple. I like NetSpend and I recommend them to anybody. I will continue to use that card.

Netspend is PayPal-friendly. Having it and being disabled, it's been a lot easier to do transactions. The Anytime Alerts are great. Everything that I've had experienced through Netspend has been good. When I bought an item and the seller was a little bit shady, I contacted Netspend and told them what was going on. They said that since I didn't authorize it, they weren't going to pay him out.

I’ve lost my card, paid $29.00 to received a locked replacement card. Send in as proof ss, real id, & a updated gas bill as proof of myself. I was told several times by numerous staff & the fraud dept. That a check will be mailed out in 10 business days. Don’t worry. I’ve repeated this 10 days process for the last 60 days. Still no check!!!! I am so confuse w/ this card. I just want my money back. Pls help.

I was a customer for almost 20yrs w/ Netspend. I actually had checks I could write etc. In the past they were an excellent company but over the last 2yrs they have become scandalous & outright thieves! Add to that you can't get past basic customer service (which is a joke) to speak to anyone who can fix their mistakes! They are now running an unethical company & the fact the people running it can't be contacted in any way just goes to show how unethical!!! Insulated themselves from complaints or them having to do the right thing doesn't show open & upstanding behavior. It shows you're hiding from your responsibilities!!
They've gone so far as to take $500 cash & NOT RETURN IT! JUST KEEP SAYING IT'S IN THE MAIL, IT'S IN THE MAIL! WEEK AFTER WEEK AFTER WEEK. Heaven forbid you get upset & raise your voice cause then you're just hung up on w/ no other choice but to deal w/ the basic customer services. Workers who haven't a clue & don't care & won't help you even if their life depended on it!! It's sad that the bigger businesses get these days the less they value the people who got them there in the 1st place. W/out us consumers they'd be nothing, but they forget that & take advantage & trample all over our loyalty!

I am a person who is not going to put my actual credit card online. I can always put a certain amount of money on Netspend and if somebody tries to hack it, they can only get what little bit that is on there instead of my entire bank account. My uncle wanted to get the same streaming television that I use. I told him, “Go get a Netspend card and put your money on that. Pay your cable streaming companies through that, so you don’t have your actual bank information online.” I do it that way because it works so much better. I’ve always enjoyed Netspend's service. Whenever I had to dispute a transaction, I would send emails. They are very expeditious when it comes to handling disputes. It has been an impeccable and very pleasant experience.

They show they send money back but then true to use card at ATM wouldn't work. Shows balance same balance before money added on card. Used phone system to check balance ànd when entered with social security showed dispute emberseed. When just typed card number said balance before dispute money was put they said my card wasn't working. Brand new card, first time used. I don't know why balance wouldn't show on card when was told it was put.

I have been using Netspend for quite a long time. It's pretty easy and straightforward. I like their flexibility and their customer service has been top-notch. I had a breach at one time and I had my money back within a day and a half. Every time I have a question, they get back to me in a very timely manner. They also have English-speaking tech support, which is very helpful. Netspend also has an app that is very user-friendly and intuitive. They do not have any real hidden fees like traditional brick-and-mortar banks do and I really like that convenience. I use the reload locations and places like Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens have much better hours than traditional banks.

You make it too hard for automatic payment option. I got the card so I could do monthly automatic withdraw for my monthly car payment and it doesn't work so I don't like the service because of that reason.

Having my account with you helps in so many ways. I am able to my payroll check early. I don't have to wait in any long lines at a bank anymore and your representatives are always courteous and friendly. The percent is too high to load a check. I get a printed pay check but the owner's hand sign it so I have to pay a high fee for the reason it is hand signed. Now I go to Walmart and pay 4 dollars to cash it. Maybe you need to consider a flat fee for up to 999.00 dollars then another flat fee for every 1000.00 dollars after that.

I don't like that Netspend is raising their fees when you put a deposit on there and when you refill your thing. Another thing is sometimes when you talk to customer service, they really suck. Their attitudes may change. I ran into somebody that was trying to take money off my card and I was told it would take about 10 or 20 days before I could get the money back. I had to take care of my money getting back on my card myself. I called the place and I discussed things with them. Other than that, I've been using Netspend for a long time and I keep on going back. There is a whole bunch of people considering Netspend's options because they go into Moneytree. There are millions of people that are on it.
