    My card was blocked with no notice or attempt to reach me during the time I needed my money most having car problems and card was blocked. I have used you all for a very long time but no longer and your hold time and risk dept - getting in touch with you, ridiculous.

    I have always used a regular bank account card then switched to Rushcard where I became very disappointed. Two years ago after filing my taxes with TurboTax I applied for a Netspend card.     I have been using Netspend for several years and I must say that 99% of the time I have been very satisfied. Initially when I first received the card, I had to contact customer support and they were prompt and excellent on resolving any issue I've ever had. I use the card because I didn't like the extra fees associated with a traditional card at most banks. There are some fees that I don't like with Netspend such as depositing cash on the card but I have saved a significant amount of money using Netspend.

    We had a normal bank account for years and every time we turned around we had a service charge for something. We live payday to payday and if we were one dollar short in our account, the bank would charge us $35.00 and the charges added up. Finally one day I found NetSpend While I was shopping and tried it and fell in love. They are very helpful with everything and if you are short they don't charge you all these expensive bank charges.     I love my Net Spend Card. I have had negative interactions with the banking system and NetSpend has been a great asset to me. They have allowed me to keep my safe in an account while allowing me the opportunity to have a debit/credit card for everyday use. Without NetSpend, I would not be able to have a debit card, utilize direct deposit or purchase/pay for things online.     As we all know there was a tremendous security breach at Target and I had shopped there prior to the incident but without having to request a new card because at the time I did not need one nor did I think I needed one. Out of the blue I received a brand new debit card. Wow, I was just so appreciative of the fact that Netspend took the care and effort to make sure that I would have no issues with my account and without having to request a new card they sent me one just to make sure. So far nothing has breached my account but just knowing that Netspend took proactive measures to make sure their customers/clients are being taken care of is just awesome!     The past few years have been really hard on my husband and I financially. My husband always had to commute to work and I was struggling to find a job close to where we lived. We couldn't afford to move, the bills kept piling up, so much got past due, we lost one of our cars. I then had to find a job within walking distance of our house. Finally I did and things started turning around....with one little (HUGE) problem! I couldn't have a bank account! My husband had to sign his checks to his parents and I did the same, I went to a credit union and they would only give me a savings. That might not seem too bad, but my husband couldn't be on the account, I couldn't get to my money if the bank was closed, no debit card, and no way to a checking account unless I paid off old debts. I tried but with only cash, paying off bills can be a pain.

    Money orders, envelops, stamps.....occasionally a collector wouldn't get the money order in time! Yikes! Well one day a friend told me about Netspend, the company I worked for sold the card but that was as far as my interest went. I didn't believe what she was saying, I couldn't get the card I had already decided. A few weeks went by and I was in desperate need of a way to pay people, I couldn't keep up with the money orders and cashiers checks. I called Netspend. I got my card within a week, my direct deposit went in two days before my bank ever did, I was able to add my husband so he could have his own card. I even opened a savings account with Netspend, everything was sooooo much easier to manage. I was able to pay off people faster and know my information was safe. I've bought prepaid cards before, and how I hated them. They're not safe or secure. Netspend is my new best friend when it comes to banking. Thanks to this card, I was able to safely pay off old debts, I'm now eligible for bank accounts with other companies, but I think I'll stay with netspend. (I get alerts every time my husband uses the card, it's nice to keep tabs on him!!)

    I can honestly say that Netspend has made receiving my benefits hassle free, up to 6 days early & being that it's a Visa I can use my card anywhere! But I strongly disagree with the monthly fee, especially since my benefits are SSI and SSDI and both are direct deposited. Therefore I believe there should be certain exclusions pending the situation. Also I was told my first withdrawal every month would be free & that I could be able to withdraw all of my money @ once. I'm already on a fixed and limited income so let's be honest barely get enough money for rent bills & stuff for hygiene. To get to the point, I really need all of my benefit money because seriously being disabled sucks but so broke that every month I start off in the negative.& it's as the good book reads "Do unto others as you would have them do it others as I would have them do unto you."

    I have been with Netspend for about 5 years now. I love the improvements over the years and when it came down to how I want to get my funds this card was the and is the best. I have no complaints. If there's something that I have a problem with I can call them anytime of any day even open on holidays SUPER PLUS because nine times out of ten that's when your having something happening. But they are there to help always. My funds ALWAYS get loaded two days before payday. My tax returns come 2 weeks faster than others.     I've had 3 or 4 cards already within the past 4 years. If I cannot find the right Q & A issue on the Netspend.com pages, the customer service 'consultant live' on the telephone tech support # - is kind enough to talk 'n walk me through the issue related to my card. If I cannot access my account info, after I register a new card online, there is a nice feature called, 'new', where I can have access to my balance/debit information until my info is considered a few days 'current/new card #holder' for that card number.

    Even the [virtual] card number for online purchases was a new feature a few years ago, that I find is convenient when I use it for rare specific online buying habits, if I don't have a physical card handy. I am pleasantly surprised, also, when a card is ready to expire, another one is sent to me, in a 'Silver' version, after the initial 'black' version card. Makes me feel like an upgraded loyal recipient of NetSpend.

    The telephone card access features for updating my balance, or transaction activities is also a PLUS+. Love it. Love it. Love it. Thank you.

    People use these cards mainly because they cannot get a bank account, which really means they have no money. Fees are too high like all cards people use. Good for direct deposit. Would like to see a bank that would work with people and not just the well off.

    I have had Net Spend prepaid cards for a number of years now and not once have I had any dissatisfaction with the customer service end of the company. Any time I had an issue with the card as in that I lost it, or someone got my number and charged something to it without my permission, NetSpend was right there helping me through the hard times. I had worked for a company for 3 years a little while back and the company refused to put direct deposits on any prepaid cards until I showed the company that NetSpend cares about their customers, they are FDIC approved, as well as a member with BBB. This is the only prepaid card that my previous employer will allow direct deposits to! That says a lot to me as well as all positive interactions I have had with this company. Anyone who is wanting the best pre-paid card, needs to go with NetSpend!

    If I could put a ring on Netspend's finger, I would marry it. Netspend allows my direct deposit to be made available to me 2 days earlier than what my local bank allows. This allows me to be paid in the middle of the week, same day and EXACTLY same time every Wednesday. I love that! I also enjoy that Netspend gives you a free $10.00 cushion if you are running a tad short before payday.     On or around Nov.30 2013 I lost my card and it was found by someone and they used my card. When I contacted NetSpend they immediately cancelled my card and said they sent me out a new card. The money was returned to my card. The card never arrived. They closed my account and told me they mailed my balance out to me. I called about two weeks later and they told me I had to wait at least 20 days. I called back and they told me that the check returned because they had the wrong address on file which was weird because the 6 cards that I have are all billed to the same address and my cards came here. Long story short, they mailed my check out on Dec. 5 2013 and today is Jan. 21 2014 and I still haven't seen my check. Every time I call I get a similar story but different. The check was returned 3 times and my information has been updated 2 times but still no check. I asked to have the balance put on another card since I have more than one account. They tell me they can't do that but apparently they can't use the post office either.

    I am very frustrated with netspend to the point where they can keep the balance and close out all of my accounts. My request is simple TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMER. I have asked several times to be transferred to a supervisor in the corporate office but they won't allow it. I have 6 children and four of them have netspend cards among the numerous friends that I have turned on to netspend and I have never asked for the referral fee that is promised. So I only asked that I am allowed to talk to someone that make decisions as I have been waiting patiently since Dec. I do appreciate the time that I have been with netspend and thank you for being there for me when I was going thru a rough time. Thank you and goodbye.

    The only way I will spend any money online is through my NetSpend prepaid debit card. I can reload it at a location less than a mile from my house.     I have never had a better experience being a prepaid credit card cardholder than I have since I've been a NetSpend customer. The only things that I dislike about NetSpend is having to pay a $.50 fee every time you call to access your account balance. I also have recently upgraded to NetSpend Premiere, and was very unhappy when I paid the Fee Advantage Plan Fee earlier in the month & was then charged the Premiere Plan Fee two weeks later. I had to pay two Plan Fees in one month, and I do not think it's fair to have to pay the second fee when I chose to upgrade to Premiere, seeing as how it was offered to me for using Direct Deposit. If I had not been charged until the next month, like I believe I should have been, then I would be completely happy with having upgraded to being a NetSpend Premiere Customer.

    I have been a long time user of NetSpend I think 8 yrs now. It was because bank fees seemed to go up every couple of months. So when I discover NetSpend I jump on it immediately. I cut up my credit cards and even close my bank account. They have loads centers all across America and it is never a big hassle to reload even when an emergency arises. I can use my card for everything. I love the fact that I load what I choose and use it according. The low up front fees are never a shocker. I have never been decline and that has been awesome. I have had to only call customer service maybe 3-4 times in 8 yrs and they have taken care of every bad transaction to help get my refund back from a retailer.

    Recently I was in a terrible car accident in California and receive a broken leg and ankle. Due to this I lost my car soon after my job and now where I live. I ran out of money very quickly because I cannot work. My parents have been taken care of me. What has made that a very simple process is NetSpend.

    You see, my parents live in Florida and I live in California. Thank God they are able to help me and thank God I have NetSpend so they do not have to use very expensive Western Union. Because of NetSpend Dad is able to load my card from Florida and I receive the money in an instant every week without having to leave the place I am in. I make all my transaction from the comfort of my computer.

    At first Dad who is 80 yrs old thought he would have to send money though Western Union. That is how he has always sent money to relatives in Puerto Rico. That is not cheap. It would be 13 dollars each time and some time to fill out the paper work. Dad had never heard of NetSpend until my accident. At first he was skeptical, but after a little coaxing and explaining how there is no paper work and a very small fee he gave it a try. He was pleasantly surprise at how close the reload center is to his home and how easy and fast the whole transaction goes down. He now tells family and friends as I have always done to get one of THOSE cards for emergency reasons, funny!! I tell people that it even can be loaded and used as a forever gift card. My Brother receive his first card which made me feel pretty pretty good because he does not listen to much of what I have say.lol

    The main advantage to Netspend is the ease of use. Transfers can be made between members easily and at any time of the day or night. The other thing is that fees are small. It saves my retirement money for needed expenses.

    I called because when I tried updating my profile, it said my account had been closed. Less than 2 weeks till my direct deposit I freaked. I have had the account since 2009. We have had ups and downs. To be fair, I was to blame as well. She reassured me account was safe secure and active. My direct deposit was safe. She had also reset password. I love my account.     First of all I would like to say that I have had HORRIBLE experiences with the NetSpend Customer Service Techs and I will tell you why. I have been with NetSpend for quite a few years now. My last card expired on December 2013. I noticed this in October, this was my first phone call to them to obtain a new card. Well, I was advised that a new card would be sent out to me. I was asked what my address was, and if this was the address it was to be sent to. I confirmed and waited for my card. After 10 or so days passed by, I called them back. I was advised that my card had been sent back for some reason or other. ONCE AGAIN I was asked for my address and was assured that a new card would be sent out AGAIN. Once again, the 10 days passed and nothing. I called them back, I was asked my address AGAIN. I gave the same address and was ONCE AGAIN assured a new card would be issued. Well, the 10 or so days passed and NOTHING again.

    By now I am totally frustrated with these people. So I call back, I speak to a Cust. Service Agent and then to a Manager. Both assured me that a new card would be issued. I was asked for my address for like that 10th time. The card never came. I called back once AGAIN. By this time I am pissed... I ask to speak to a manager, but was advised that "None of the mangers were on the floor due to them being in a meeting". I was so upset and inquired as to what address my card was being sent to. Well it turns out that after giving my address to I don't know how many Customer Service Techs, they went ahead and sent it out to A DIFFERENT ADDRESS! So by this time, my card is about to be expired the next day, so I was advised that I had to go down and get a temporary card until my new one arrived.

    I could NOT BELIEVE how this could happen after giving out my address to them over and over and over again! Well, needless to say, I went over to an Ace office here in town, and I ordered my card through there, because obviously, this was too much for the Techs to handle. This was the only way I was able to receive my new card. I cannot believe how incompetent each and every single person I talked to were. After giving them my address, my cards get sent somewhere else. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Very frustrating and unprofessional.

    I first heard of netSpend through the IRS/TurboTax. I had been with Wells Fargo for years and had my wallet stolen, so I opted for the card; even though there were an equal amount of negative as positive reviews. I've trusted TurboTax since '96. I LOVE netSpend! Instead of continuing with WF, or going to another bank, I decided to try NS in its entirety. I've had one experience that wasn't NS's fault so I was sure I would be turned away, unhelped, or charged like every other bank does for a simple request for help.

    Not only did they help me, they called and checked in WITH ME weekly about the status of the bill pay! They resolved everything! Shortly after they sent me an email and called to let me know they had put a block on my account as there appeared to be some interesting activity through bill pay and wanted to verify I was authorizing it. There are many reviews that are negative. However read the issues, they are no different than other banks. People overspend, get overdrafts and don’t like it; or they didn't read the fine print of transaction amounts. The negative reviews I have read are all on the person, as I have been extremely surprised by the level of help and consideration I have been given. Hope everyone has this experience!

    I have been a customer of NetSpend for quite a few years now and I wouldn't dream of not having an account with them. This is the ONLY account I now have because I can do everything with it, from having my checks direct deposited to paying my bills and using it while shopping even have a Savings Account! There are so many benefits to having a NetSpend account and there are absolutely no hidden fees whatsoever. It is much cheaper than using a stores reload card.     I enjoy using the card, especially when there is no over draft fees constantly on my account, with the old bank account I had I was charged for going over $.89, how far fetched is that? Plus I get my money 2 days ahead of time, which is real good. I go get money orders and pay my bills online a couple of days before they're due. I'm glad I have netspend. If the money isn't there the bill don't get paid, and then I'm not charged $35 dollars for NSF, plus if not paid in a certain amount of time, it's $5.00 per day, that sucks, but that's life.

    I have had this Netspend account for several years and I had no problems until now. I had used a debit card at Target on 11-28-13 which was one of the dates of the Target Security breach. After hearing about a coworker having bank related problem with her card used at Target the same time (not Netspend) I decided to cancel my Netspend debit card on 12-22-13. I activated my new card the same time and destroyed the old card and have only used the new card since. My last use on my new card was 1-16-14 for dinner at a restaurant at 7:25 pm in Knoxville Tn. I get the text alerts of card activity sent to my mobile phone and starting at 1-16-14 at 11:49 pm and continued until 12:01 am on 1-17-14 showing a total withdrawal of $1,387.50 including cash and fees.

    I attempted to call Netspend but of course there was no one available at that time of morning. I sent an email at 1:16 am reporting the fraud. I called the office at 9:06 est. and talked to a representative that refused to let me speak with management to answer questions she could not provide an answer to. I called again and was told that they were unable to tell me what city or state my money was stolen. She then filed a dispute with me on the phone and instructed me to send a written dispute via email which I did. I got a call about an hour later from someone named Allen asking me details of my report and he then told me the ATM withdrawals were in Miami Fl!!!

    It's apparent by my card activity I was in Knoxville TN just prior to this activity and also I haven't left the state other than going to North Carolina in March of last year. But how can this be done on a card that I cancelled weeks ago? After reading other complaints I have seen this is not an uncommon thing and there have been other customers saying they have had money taken from them from Miami and Austin Tx. Seems a little suspicious to me. I am only getting form letter responses from this company and I want my money returned to me. Nothing more nothing less! They did credit me a whole $2.50 which was one of the atm fees off of that fraudulent withdrawal activity but none of the money that was taken along with the charge. I have contacted an attorney as well as the Office of the Comptroller of Currency and will continue to contact anyone necessary until this is resolved. I am even considering contacting the news media since this seems to be a big problem with this company.

    I'd like to render a personal "thanks" to the Support Staff and to whom is responsible for keeping me responsible. My actions/activity on behalf of my Netspend Card being suspended could be the best thing yet in lieu of the irresponsible way I'd recently been made aware of.     I have been very impressed with the service I have been given from the Netspend team. My deposits are always available sooner than any bank account I have had. The security they provide is excellent. If there is an issue, they contact you and for me I have any issues cleared within minutes. I haven't worried about hidden fees or overdraft fees.     I have 3 accounts with Netspend. I receive direct deposit on all. I was not able to login online so I called to check my balance. I was directed to customer service who stated that my account was closed due to something fraudulent. OK WTF are you guys talking about? They don't know the bank closed my accredited & sending me my balance in a check. I was told I can't get another card through them. OK nosegay about my other 2 accounts so I switch one of my direct deposits to my other Netspend card only to get a email at 2am saying I need to contact them to verify my identify. OK I called & then that they working now to see if they can unblock my card smh. I'm losing out on money messing around with these people because I get a direct deposit every week & my bills are going to be late! If you cancel someone card, you need to be in detail to why this happened so if it's something the customer did, it won't happen again.

    I have received disability payments since 2008 and when they went to debit cards, I tried the one the government issued. It was pretty much of a guess as to how much I had on the card because the website was so hard to log into and slow to update info. I tried others and all had something I didn't like about them. Then I came across NetSpend. There are debit cards and then there is NetSpend. Totally different, easy to access my account and every transaction is emailed to me. If I have a problem or a question then I can call and get a real live human being within a very few minutes.

    The representative is always friendly, easy to understand and they know what to do in any situation and they get it done quickly. Sometimes they ask me to fill out a survey after I have called in and in the box where they ask what they can do to improve the site and I just tell them to leave it alone, it's perfect as is. None of the other cards I tried could even come close to NetSpend! As far as I am concerned, the others can close their doors and go home and let NetSpend do it all!

    I have had the best experience with NetSpend. I am a single income person and had nothing but trouble with bank fees, late fees on bills, saving money, etc. Then I had a bill collector suggest I purchase a prepaid card in order to get my payment in quick and avoid a late fee.     I have had the same NetSpend account since 2004. I love it because there are no checkbooks to balance, no possibility of bounced checks and no overdraft fees!!! My paychecks are direct deposited and usually available BEFORE payday. How nice is that, huh? I do pay a monthly fee to avoid Point of Sale transaction fees, but the last time I checked traditional paper checking accounts had service fees too unless you keep a minimum balance. With NetSpend there are NO minimum balance requirements. I love my NetSpend and have helped several people, including family members, get their own NetSpend accounts.
