Trying to get a refund - Your fine upstanding operators take way too long to get things done. I have asked for a dispute to be resolved twice already, and I get nothing but put on hold or sent to this one and that one department. How many times do I have to repeat myself that money was wrongfully taken off my card???!!!

NetSpend has always tried to do their best when helping a customer. They're not like all your other prepaid cards making you feel like one of their cards. NetSpend takes the time needed to help you solve the reason you had you call them. With your NetSpend card you're able to use it anywhere. And adding money to it they make that easy as well. But like any company they have their downside as well. Come on. It is a company ran by someone just like you and me. So are you perfect? I know I'm not and they know they're not. That's why they try to make your card perfect so you don't have to be.

While I enjoy getting my payroll checks early, it's not worth being a customer. I will be canceling my account soon as possible. Don't EVER report your card lost or stolen because you will be charged 20$ or wait 7-10 business days and will not have access your funds, unless you're prepared to buy another NetSpend card and pay those fees... Loading the card is a waste of money. Only good for deposits. And the overdraft protection is a joke. They will put you on probation like if I'm not gonna pay it... I would just simply stop using the card. Overall this card is worthless!!

I have been using NetSpend for almost a year now, and I like it a lot. Why I like it, because my direct deposit comes 2 days sometimes 3 days faster! Here's why I don't love it, because my card was hacked. I called and the lady I spoke to was nice but I could not understand her. She did tell me she was going to email me a report to get my money back. I never received it. She did cancel my card, but I couldn't understand half the things she was explaining. So I didn't know if I needed to inform my payroll or not. I called a few days later saying I did not receive the emails, but I did get some money put into my account (I waited to see if she would send the next day and then the next). I went online to the app to see if anything different change, and I noticed the money that was put back in was gone.
So I talked to someone who seem over the work day. She told me that my money was pending and could not do anything till it stopped. I understood that, but I did not understand why the money I did receive back was taken out. She seemed annoyed, repeated there is nothing she can do. I get annoyed as well told her thank you and hung up. I did received my new card, but I never got my money back, and never was able to report it. I am still upset about that, but not as mad as to stop using NetSpend all together. I do wish I could love them, but because of what happened I like them.

I have been a NetSpend customer for over 10 years now. I am very pleased with NetSpend. Customer service is excellent unlike RushCard and a lot of other cards. I do not get the hassle to get in my account. My direct deposit is posted sometimes 3 days before I've had my refund for my taxes downloaded. Never a problem with NetSpend.

They closed my account without notice because someone hacked it. My SSI check and my paycheck were both blocked for weeks because of these **. My wife has cancer and I needed that money for her treatment. She was sick because of the treatment by them then when you called them you get some idiot who can't speak or understand English. A bunch of goocks.

On 25th of last month I wanted to borrow from NetSpend. I called NetSpend. Nice guy tell me to get overdraft protection and I could borrow some cash. And I got overdraft protection but because I was one buck under could not borrow. On 26th I received much cash. Took a bunch out to fix debts. I hit Walmart. Had much cash on card. I added 80 more to card. So I could fix other cards on net. I go to sleep thinking I'm secure. Next morning I try to spend 5 bucks. Card now says I owe 79$. Direct somehow unauthorized. Took 139$. Now I'm late on all my cards. I got extra fees on each plus month is a mess. I got chumped about 5hundred. Sure hope dispute helps. Won't know until the 13th. Usually nice service but how did they mess me up.

I had a dispute on a charge to my card and from the first call I was handled politely, fast and very simple. Within a week I had my money back and a new card.

I like online banking and NetSpend. However, if in the city, you have access to businesses that will load your card. If you live in the country, nowhere to load. No direct deposit, no good. The $5 monthly checking account charge, not good.

I don't like not being able to understand half the people who work there and I also don't like that I pay for overdraft protection but only allowed to use it a certain number of months. And a charge every time you check your account balance is just not ok. We should also get reported to credit bureaus to help build our credit.

I just love my NetSpend card. It is accepted everywhere and it pays all of my utilities and my bills. Customer service is really friendly and helpful. I love the text messages that I get whenever I use the card. It helps me keep track of my spending and it's very informative. I recommend this card wholeheartedly. The monthly charge is affordable price compared to a credit card and you get overdraft protection if you go direct deposit. Get this card!

I've been a NetSpend customer for about 4 years now and I love the card. The customer service is very great and I've never had a problem with trying to use any features on the site. Everything is great. A new cool feature has been added. I can deposit a check with a snap of a photo. NetSpend please continue to give off great customer services and I'll continue to be a loyal customer.

I had a bunch of recurring unauthorized charges on my account. I didn't notice the charges until a couple months into them. As soon as I had noticed, I reported them and even filed a police report. NetSpend took 10 days and then told me there is no evidence that the charges were unauthorized, and noted a "pattern of purchases" using the same method. You don't say??? /Sarcasm. THE REOCCURRING CHARGES WERE A SERIES OF UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES, YET YOU SHRUG YOUR PROMISE OF CONSUMER PROTECTION.
The utter incompetence displayed by their dispute investigators is ultimately astonishing. Not only did these criminal collaborators deny my disputes; THEY CLOSED MY ACCOUNT "FOR SAFETY REASONS." Wait... I thought you said there was no "safety issue" when you denied my disputes? I had no problem getting the unauthorized usage of my PayPal, Google, and Apple Store accounts fixed. ONLY NETSPEND DENIED MY CLAIM. As if a liar would file a police report. I don't know if NetSpend knows this, but liars don't typically go to the police for help. Avoid NetSpend at all costs, until they correct their incompetent employees and learn to fulfill their own promises!

I have an auto-pay setup with an account paying a past due matter. The first time my account was accessed to pay the monthly amount of $100, I was told there was insufficient funds. It turns out a $1.00 fee is charged for each transaction. It was taken care of the first payment but $101 is now deposited monthly. This fee DOES NOT make sense for auto pay, and has to be adjusted! Also, when I needed to deposit $700, I had to do 2 transactions because your maximum amount was $500. Everyone else is $1,000! WHAT'S THE DEAL??

I have been a NetSpend customer for over five years. They only allow me $100 overdraft and I can only have three overdrafts per month no matter how much I put into my account. Mind you I put over $1,400 a month into my account. Every month on time. I'm only allowed to use my overdraft 3 times per month. And they charged me $15 and overdraft/Overdrive which is outrageous. So I have been thinking sincerely about changing my NetSpend account to another account card which after so many years that they see I have social security coming every month. They're not worried about getting their money at the end of the month like NetSpend. I paid NetSpend back every month because they take it out of my check before I get my check and $15 if I spend $2 overdraft. They charge me $15 for a $2 overdraft and it's ridiculous. So I'm not happy with NetSpend at all.

I have NetSpend for about three to five years and I love it. I checked in with the card at Speedway and it had good features. I was tired of dealing with credit unions and banks and because I can get my checks early, I signed up with direct deposit for both my retirement and social security checks. I'm totally satisfied with their service.

I and my husband decided to use NetSpend not long ago and I really like them. It's easier managing my finances because I know every time I use it, I know where my money goes to. It’s also been convenient to pay bills and make online purchases. Additionally, money is coming early and there is an insurance. I only wish that I could get the overdraft protection sooner. Every direct deposit is $396 and I can never reach it - I’m $6.00 away from it.

I’ve had NetSpend for a long time because it was easy and recently switched to NetSpend Elite through ACE check cashing. But then I noticed that sometimes, it takes out an extra dollar which didn’t happen before. When something’s $2.16, it comes out to $3.16. Why does it do that?

I was getting a job and needed somewhere for my paycheck to go since they weren't going to issue paper paychecks so I got NetSpend. I always get the money two days before the actual pay day. The biggest benefit is that in a lot of places where I go, I don't like to carry a lot of cash because people will ask you for money and if you say, "I don't have any money," it is true. One time I lost my card and I was able to call right away and get it replaced within a week and that was a convenience. I love NetSpend.

NetSpend seemed like a good solution rather than using a regular bank. However, I’ve had a very unsatisfactory experience with the way it all works. I was getting my paychecks two days earlier but I couldn’t receive texts because they don’t text on the Viaero system. When I called with problems a couple of times, they wanted to shut the card off which froze all my money. What am I supposed to do until they finally send me another card? Luckily, a friend of mine had a NetSpend card at that time so I was able to transfer the money to her and shut the card off. But I still have not received my new card from them. When you called customer service, they were very hard to understand. I’m not too happy with them. There were a few good points but they didn’t outweigh the bad.

With my NetSpend card, I like that I can go online and set a certain amount to be put back in my savings every month and I can always add to it. Also, I’m an online shopper, and I need my card pretty regularly. I’ve been with them since 2009, and I’ve had problems on occasion, like the purchase that came up that I know I didn’t make but the customer service reps were very nice, prompt, helpful and got it resolved and taken care of lickety-split. NetSpend has been good to me. I like the people, and in fact, I’ve tried to get other people to get NetSpend because I really like how it’s set up for me. It works great for me and I wish I could get some other people to get into it too.

Was with them from the start and made them a lot of money throughout the years. Now due to 3 or 4 times screwing up my account I'm changing to a different card and closing my account. Customer service is in the crappier now that they're with Western Union. Too bad. I used to love this card and recommended it to a lot of people. No more though...

My friend told me about NetSpend which I've had a pleasant experience with so far. Everything is loaded to my NetSpend card so I use it for everyday use, like paying bills or making online purchases, which became very convenient. Personal information is secure on the card and I love the incentives I get at the end of the month. The NetSpend team has been friendly as well.

I was looking for a prepaid option and NetSpend came up and seemed like it would work for my needs. Last year I canceled my card. But I was flowing $70,000 plus a year through the card and after a couple of issues I had, it infuriated me and I will refuse to ever use them again for anything. It was very difficult to get anybody on the telephone over the five plus years that I used them. I had issue, my bank had issues, so it was not very easy to use from a customer service standpoint. But, as far as loading the card and getting notifications on transactions, that was easy. It was really on the customer service side that they really failed. They were also using some outsourced call centers so there were some language barriers as well. When I did wish to cancel and I had asked to speak to somebody, I never got any resolution to my problem.
The biggest issue I had was I had a $24,000 bonus that had been sent to NetSpend to load to my account, and in previous years they were able to do it with approval by getting some notification from my company. And this time, they had called me. I sent the necessary documentation, electronically and via fax that they requested. And they still returned the fund to my company so then I had to wait an additional week to get the funds sent to me through another method. So it really was coming to the final straw that made me choose another option. Now I’m using my Chase bank for a similar tool.

I’ve been with NetSpend for a really long time. I can have funds deposited on my card, which has been helpful and convenient for me especially since my credit wasn’t that great and so in order to pay bills, I would have to deposit. I don’t have a lot of problems with NetSpend. Everything seems to work well. It was better than Western Union at one point because I was expecting a deposit and something went wrong with Western Union's system. This hasn’t happened to me with NetSpend. But I do have a Western Union/NetSpend card combined now.

Since I don’t like bank permits, I contacted NetSpend and my experience with them has been wonderful. I use their direct deposit option, and the process is simple. The people at NetSpend have been good at taking care of any issues I come across. I recommend them to a lot of friends.

I couldn’t maintain the balance with the type of checking account I had because I had to get my disability retirement check which is the only income I have coming in each month and that’s where my expenses are taken from. I wanted to go with one that wasn’t as much of a hassle and NetSpend happened to be the one. They have been my bank for seven years now and I’ve not had any trouble at all since I’ve been with them.
Putting money on the card through their direct deposit option is very easy. NetSpend usually puts my amount in the bank anywhere from three to five days prior when they know that the money’s going to be deposited. Also, I have a life insurance policy which is not that much, but it’s the amount of my deposit. So if my check goes in on the 26th (May) and I passed away in the month of June, they would send that amount of my deposit to my beneficiary. That’s a benefit that most banks don’t offer. I'm also able to make online purchases or pay bills online but not often because it's not safe since there are so many criminals out there trying to get your money.
Their team has been friendly and courteous but I do have a problem if I get a Spanish-speaking person because I can't understand them and they have a hard time understanding me so I prefer dealing with an English-speaking rep. In addition, my account got hacked and my account was being used in a place that I never did go to. That's the first time that it happened and they took care of it but I was really surprised when I was charged a 50-cent fee for questioning about my account. Other banks don’t charge you to call in and ask about your account. That’s the only area they could improve because I shouldn’t be penalized for being able to call and ask what the problem is when there were a couple of charges that I did not make. But other than that, I’m very content and I have recommended NetSpend to other people. But if they change, I will definitely change banks.

I will recommend Netspend. Customer service people have always been courteous and nice and I never experienced anything bad with them. I like the alert that lets me know when the money has reached my card. It's also very convenient that I'm able to pay bills and stuff online. The only issue is the fee. If I go to an ATM to get a certain amount of cash, I would get charged. I didn’t know that’s what it does.

I love the consideration given me in all you do for me at NetSpend. The insurance for my children if I were to die, the prompt deposit in my account, early so as to beat the crowds and not be subject to robbery. Also my stress free banking that does not overdraw funds. Thanks a million.

On July of 2015 1500.00 was transferred from my account and I was able to track thru customer service where the money was being spent. At one point it was down to approx 581.00. So I asked NetSpend to stop the card. It was not done therefore I never got anything back and NetSpend cancelled my account making it difficult to solve this matter. Well now it 10 months later and I want satisfaction.

I've been with NetSpend for a few years and it's pretty good. It's not that I don’t like their services. It's just that their interest rate and a couple of fees that’s a little too high when it comes to making personal loans. And I've decided to have my account moved to another bank but I'm not gonna let them go. I'd like to still use their services. I've been well-pleased with all of them and very happy. Being on disability, I hate leaving because of that because now I'm gonna have to wait a whole extra week before I have access to my money deposited by the Department of Treasury.
Moreover, I dealt with NetSpend through ACE and however they all had to set up anyway. Every time I wanna put money on my card, I have to pay and that’s ridiculous. It's really hurting the poor people. I know everybody’s jumped on the bandwagon trying to make money, but it's at the expense of the poor people. They feel that the most. And especially when I was having my money for quite a few years and that’s in the banking industry. But, I really enjoyed being with ACE but it always really bothered me. So I'm gonna see how the credit union, if they're gonna be better with not charging so many fees and everything for different services.

I have been using NetSpend for 6 years. Before, it was a little more difficult to put money in but now, if you run out of money, you can go anywhere and immediately they'll reload it. The access to reload is a lot faster than any of the cards and that's definitely a plus. If I would have more money, I could use the card more. I love the way NetSpend keeps track of everything. I can spend something now and I immediately get messages. Customer service has been awesome. I'm satisfied with everything. The online purchases are easy. The problem that I have seen is paying bills because I have to use Western Union and that makes it a little more difficult to do. If they make that feature easier, I would use everything from that account.

I went to a Moneybox years ago where they explained NetSpend to me and I tried it. I was looking for a new form for direct deposit and I was having issues with banks. I wanted to try something different. I do a lot of my finance management online to balance what I've spent my money on. I don’t have to directly go into a store. They keep me organized.
I didn't have any issues when I had to call NetSpend's customer service, but that has recently changed. They have horrible customer service and I always get a different answer. It's almost like nobody knows what they're talking about and nobody is helpful over the phone. Paying bills with their card used to be convenient too, but not anymore. I got direct deposit hit my account. I was trying to purchase something online, which is a website I've used before. They flagged it for fraud, froze my account, and cancelled my card without letting me know.
Every person I spoke with was rude as hell and unhelpful. I even wrote an email to corporate and they said they would expedite my card, which was untrue. It took over two weeks for me to get it. I went through two pay periods without being able to get my money. My experience with NetSpend recently has been god-awful. I'm in the process of transitioning away from them because between customer service and corporate, I have been lied to, and it was a very serious matter that nobody had a sense of urgency for.

I have lousy credit and I can't get a bank account from a brick-and-mortar bank so I got NetSpend which looks better. I got their rewards and if I overdraft, they give me a chance to get the money into the bank, which unfortunately never happens, but I'd rather pay the overdraft fees and have what I need to have gas in the car rather than watching around the last week of the month not being able to get to any of my doctor’s appointments. It's also very convenient to use the card in paying bills or purchasing items online.
When reloading, I use the direct deposit all the time and it's great. Their reps have been very pleasant and helpful. They're not rude and cranky but sometimes I get people that don’t exactly speak English well, and when I can't understand them, I hang up and call back hoping to get someone who does speak English. It's really hard to talk to somebody from Thailand or whatever when they speak so fast because their mother language is a fast spoken language. So they speak so fast in English that I can't understand what they're saying but other than that, I like NetSpend and I don’t intend to change anytime soon.

I liked the convenience of getting my check early and not being held by any overdue fees. However, my experience with NetSpend hasn’t been the best. My card was to be expedited because there was a fraudulent purchase made. Everyone that I've talked to wasn't able to give me an efficient answer regarding my money and other options to have access to it. Also, I got in contact with a lot of foreigners with very distinct accents that I couldn’t understand. It took five days for me to get my next card and so that was five days without access to my money, which was very upsetting to me. I also had some bills that came about around that time.

My brother had NetSpend and he suggested it to me so I started using it. NetSpend sends me alerts on my phone when I use any money off of my account and it's been able to tell me how much money I have and what money that I don’t have to spend on different things. I can also get cash back on places where I go, and every time I go into places like Starbucks or Red Lobster and pay with my card, they’ll give me a percentage back off of what I used off of my card. The money that I get each month comes on my card through direct deposit and it's easy. Even the reload option or when I get a check is easy to do because it doesn't require you to do a whole lot of stuff.

The 10 years that I've been with NetSpend were awesome, but my recent experience with them was horrible. I've been trying to order an additional debit card since January, and I continue to get the runaround. When speaking with customer service about it, there's a language barrier and they don’t understand what the issue is. They say they're sorry and they’ll take care of it, but it hasn’t been taken care of. I've also escalated to multiple managers for nothing. However, NetSpend is easy to use like any other card. I'm able to monitor my expenses online or get the text message that shows me how much money I've spent. I'm not able to overdraft so that’s a good thing too.

I am really happy with my NetSpend card and benefits. Is it possible to get customer service reps that speak better English? It's very annoying trying to explain something to someone that does not have the English language skills. The reps that I have spoken were all great people and helped with problems, but it would of been a lot shorter phone call if I did not have to repeat problem over and over again. Thank you.

I like the idea of the way NetSpend was set up, which was not like a regular bank. Managing my finances has been a lot better as far as the overdraft protection. Also, if I use the card inside the stores, I get rewards. It's very convenient and I haven't had an issue. Their guys have all been good too.

I lost my social services security card and I had to pay my rent. So, I went to Ace Cashing and their rep told me that the card was through NetSpend. I got one and I'm now able to use it to pay bills or make online purchases which is very easy. I load more frequently, too.

Somehow my account was hacked. I lost my money. Netspend replaced most of it. I'm homeless with two boys. Netspend put 1400.00 on my card and took it back in minutes. I cried and pleaded for my money but I never received it back. It would have helped.

I had disputed a large amount that was taken from off my card that I did not authorize. They had me wait 10 days to tell me they would not credit my account then closed my account without me asking them to...and sent me a check for the remaining balance. I would never in my life ever get another NetSpend card. I called a Better Business Bureau on them.

I was interested in having my direct deposit go through NetSpend. They do a lot of things that are helpful. I now load my bank account a few days earlier and get a lot of stuff done before the 1st or the 3rd. Their customer service and overdraft protection are helpful. It's the same if I have to a file dispute. They respect their customers and keep them aware that that’s their money and not the bank’s. They don’t make anything super difficult, they don’t cram and they don’t put a whole lot of charges and fees in there. They do their job. There's good faith and I would recommend NetSpend to a friend.

I love having my NetSpend account! It is great to receive my deposit a few days early since two of my bills are due before the 1st of each month. I also like the $10 overdraft protection. I have made use of it and it certainly is convenient if needed. Also I can't even count how much money I save in ATM fees by paying one monthly amount. I take cash out at stores when needed and I love not making ATMs rich anymore!

I'm unemployed right now and I have all my benefits coming into my NetSpend card. I have my money direct deposit and have it automatically coming out. I get my money quicker and my benefits two days before I'm supposed to. I used to have problems paying my bills on time. I can pay my bills or purchase online from the convenience of my home or my cell phone. It's easy for me. I also like the little cards that they have, the breast cancer one. The NetSpend team is very polite, courteous. When you come in the store, they're always smiling. It's a good atmosphere and makes you want to come. Even when I call, they're always so zippy and make you smile when you have a bad day. I'm thankful that they came up with NetSpend. Continue to do what they're doing and don't change anything.

I love to have my NetSpend card. I love the fact that I can get paid two days earlier with direct deposit. I love the overdraft and I love the overdraft protection that I can overdraft on my card when I need extra cash, but since this is a brand new year and this is 2016 I think you need to add $200 overdraft for people that have direct deposit, a program that we can get loans that can help build my credit, and that NetSpend have their own credit card.

I was at a check cashing place in Colorado ten years ago and I noticed that they had the advertisements for the card. And then I’ve been a customer of NetSpend since then. There were checking and savings and that was beneficial because I can move some money from the checking right into the savings account. Everything was easy and I was paid a day earlier. Federal funds were deposited and it was nice. The direct deposit option is what I used. Also, their team was always friendly. I had to call several times because I was hearing different things from different customer service reps. I wasn’t very clear on how to proceed with the situation until I got to speak with someone who really took the time to explain everything to me.
My account was fine up until there were two charges to it which I did not authorize. So I had to go through that process and then I eventually closed my account because I felt that I should have been better protected after 10 years of being with them. I also felt that I had to jump through hoops to prove that I did not make those charges when one can clearly see by my statements on a monthly basis that I stayed to the same retailers, so I was disappointed.
It was unfortunate. I didn’t want to close my account but based on this past incident, it made me look at NetSpend differently. The way I had to proceed with this money situation to recuperate my funds, at the end, I felt a little more could have been done. I felt like I had to prove myself and nothing like this has ever happened to me before so it made me, “Hmm.” I didn’t want to continue to bank with them anymore. I couldn’t also go in and speak to anybody. Everything was always over the phone and through the mail. I’d rather speak to somebody. However, I would still highly recommend them because they really helped me in the situation I was in at the time that I started with them.

At a time when I had lost my job after 7 yrs to add insult to injury BOA also canceled my checking account. After 6 months of no job & no account, I researched & found Western Union prepaid card, the best thing that has ever happened to me! It's very easy to use & I direct deposit my pay check. I wish I could do some bill paying using the routing number like a regular checking acct, but I have gotten used to just buying money orders or calling & doing phone payments.

I have had NetSpend since 2013. I originally selected the account due to having previous banking issues & not being able to apply at a credit union which would allow me to receive my payroll 1-2 days earlier. By the end of 2014 I had my personal affairs in order & obtained a traditional banking account. However, I've had a better customer experience with NetSpend than I've had with the well known bankers of my traditional account. Due to such I continue to use NetSpend as my primary account & the traditional account as a secondary. I thoroughly enjoy the features NetSpend has: Being able to see what I spend & where I've spent it instantly via text, the $100 overdraft, & being paid two days earlier is a life saver. I would recommend NetSpend to anyone but especially those who have had a rough go of it & need a second chance.

Purchase losses with NetSpend, major waste of time and money! Bought the card w/ 100$ loaded on it. Registering the card took two phone calls having to speak with thick accents from another country. On the second call I was told that more money can be loaded onto the NetSpend card from PayPal. It took a third phone call where I explained the card was just purchased, and their rep walked me through in loading 150$ from my PayPal account to NetSpend, which was transferred while on the phone using my laptop. Believing that 250$ total was loaded into NetSpend I made a number of internet purchases well over the initial 100$. What happened next was UNBELIEVABLE.
The next day NetSpend had sent the 150$ transfer from PayPal back to PayPal!! I was repeatedly 'locked out' of the NetSpend control panel so I never knew NetSpend sent my money back to PayPal. Every time there's a problem with NetSpend they lock you out of your log-on panel. A fourth phone call had ensued, then a fifth where I was told that new NetSpend accounts will not accept money transfers until a replacement card is received in the mail and reactivated! This is "policy" that the guys from the second and third phone calls knew, known or should've known, but never told me. In fact the third guy helped with the PayPal Transfer!
Meanwhile, my purchases are getting "bounced" back due to insufficient funds because NetSpend is throwing my money back at another bank. Furthermore, when my control panel was unlocked on the fifth phone call it was observed that NetSpend had charged its fees on all of the rejected purchases as they played with the accounts. NetSpend took NO accountability, and it appears it'll take days if not weeks to unravel this mess!! No Shipments Have Ever Been Received! I'm not saying if you deal with NetSpend that you deserve a headache, but you've got one coming!! Stay Away. Run. Don't Walk!!!

I was very dissatisfied with your service because someone hacked into my account and transferred money out my account to another account. I had asked you guys several months ago to put a block on during any transfers off my card. However because of this I was told that I could no longer be a customer of you all after being your customer for over 3 years. NetSpend has allowed me the freedom of credit card usage without credit card guidelines. The Debit Card account NetSpend has provided me for more than 10 years allows my income to be managed with no hassle through direct deposit. I like thousands of others was curious about trying a psychic reading. I agreed to pay only 40$ for the reading, but when I got my bill I had been charged 1,200.00. NetSpend worked to get the facts and refunded my money!! Thank so much, a lesson learned.

I love NetSpend!! It has helped me stay on budget and keeps track of all of my transactions!! When I had a dispute with the company that I used to work for, I found an error in their creative accounting, NetSpend mailed me a copy of all of my transactions from the beginning of the year to present day and I was able to not only correct them, I was able to make sure that company didn't practice their creative accounting with any other employee!!

I love my pre-paid Netspend card! Funds are available earlier than traditional debit cards and any dispute I ever have had is resolved quickly and fairly. Customer Service agents are always helpful. I have recommended family members and friends to use NetSpend.

I've been with this company since 2008 if I am not mistaken, because it's been quite some time now. Let me say that Netspend makes it super easy to do business and whenever a discrepancy or question of where your monies was lost or compromised, they will work for you. I can say for over the course of being with them I've had perhaps 2 which one was my miscalculation. Nevertheless, they are on YOUR SIDE! Awesome company!

I had an employee that was constantly needing money sent to him via MoneyGram or Western Union. This was inconvenient and expensive. One day I saw the NetSpend card at a retailer and read up on it. What it did for me was allowed me an opportunity to pay that employee's expense that he needed money for on any given day via online services and I didn't even have to leave the office anymore. Also, it seemed to not only be less expensive per transaction for fees, but I think he was requesting more than he needed all of the time and this stopped him from doing that. It was a huge time and expense saver for me. Now I feel more comfortable with helping an employee out and not having my bank account exposed doing it! I LOVE NetSpend!

I acquired the NetSpend card when I filed my income taxes, but later on, I knew I only had like $3.00 in my account, so I didn't use it at all. One day I just figured I'd call and find out what my balance was, & to my surprise, I had more than what I thought I had! Evidently NetSpend gave me money back for using my card!! Completely surprised me!! I was very happy!!!

I had placed a order online and I played with my card and it charged me twice and then the card company said that they could not reimburse me cause it had already charge my card. Then I had an overdraft. I had to pay on the count of the card company, but I'm still with you all and I'm much happier.

I think that NetSpend did a great job about a purchase that someone was trying make. They called me up and asked if I was trying to make a purchase in another state. They cancelled may card and sent another one, and made sure my money was still there. I didn't expect that from a prepaid card company. I have told my friends, band, family about them. I was promised that I qualify for the $10 overdraft credit and I receive a direct deposit every two weeks and I get India who never understands me and shockingly the overdraft credit doesn't work.

NetSpend is ok. The reason I say just ok is because it's actually costly to use Netspend, $1.00 for each transaction. I have paypal and monthly maintenance fee which is great. There is no charge to use my card. I like that. PayPal is a good.

I had a previous pay card in my job through NetSpend. I was looking for another one after I left that job since I’m not a fan of bank accounts. I found the NetSpend Western Union card online and it was the best of both worlds for me because my parents live far away from me. They like to send me money and I wasn’t always near a Western Union. They send me money directly to my card or I could send them money directly from my card. That was helpful. Their direct deposit is easy. I give them the routing number and then they send it to me. In the beginning, they used to make the money available in two or three business days earlier. But now, it’s been coming right on time, which isn’t too bad.
For the most part, it's convenient to pay bills with NetSpend, though I try not to. Their staff are really friendly. When I had some fraud on my account a couple of months ago, they first replaced the money in two weeks and then tried to figure out what was happening with the account later. They gave me a new card and they were really helpful. I like the NetSpend mobile alerts too. Their only reload location close to me is ACE check cashing, but they charge a lot to add money to my card which is ridiculous. That aside, it’s been a good experience so far. They're quick, easy and dependable.

When I wasn't able to get a bank account, I got a NetSpend card in order to have a card to rent a car. When I was able to do, I started using my card everything else. I pay my bills, order things online, and I love my NetSpend card.

This PayPal prepaid card has given dlna the opportunity to receive my funds immediately when selling items on eBay. It's a great card overall however I would enjoy it more if they allowed a small credit line for those of us with bad credit.

I wouldn't never recommend this card to any of my Friends due to every time you swipe they charge you. You call they charge you, credit they charge you. The fees are terrible. Never again. Once I get my paycheck switched to my account I will use Netspend.

I have had my NetSpend Card now for about 2 or 3 years. For about 10.00 month I get a text message of every transaction and where the funds were spent. So when I use my card to buy gas outside at the pump and put 15.00 of fuel in and get a text from Netspend that I just spent 50.00. This is how I found out they hold a deposit for a while, nothing is on the pump about this. So yes, I do love, love, love my NetSpend Card. :) It took me 4 or 5 tries to get set up on mobile deposit, but now it's working.

I feel this card protects my money more securely than a bank debit card. If my number is hacked while buying online, I will only lose the small amount I maintain on my card versus the bank card and my full bank account. I had the situation where I found someone charging an item on my card. Elite quickly cancelled my card so there wouldn't be more charges and issued me a new card. Best to be safe than etc...Thanks!

I have this protection plan. I called to make sure I can use the protection plan and the first person I spoke with said I could then when I went into the store to try to use it it wouldn't let me. So I called back and spoke another person. Said I couldn't, I had to have a $500 direct deposit before I could use it spending. I'm very unhappy with it and I was embarrassed.

NETSPEND is a good credit or debit card. But never lie about us NETSPEND cardholders that we can get our money two days faster. If you guys are going to do that at least bend the FDIC (biggest crooks they are) rules. Push to change the rules.

You only allowed one for 85 and I think that's nice of you but sometimes you need more than that or right before. I get paid. Says I'm supposed to get paid 2 day early. I get paid the day before pay day and it only when they deposit my check into my account that's not early. That's on time.

I have had a mostly good experience with Netspend. Every dispute that I have had has been solved within a decent amount of time. My only real issue is that their app is not compatible with Android phones. I also like that I get paid a day earlier than almost all of my coworkers. It also can be used everywhere. Normal visa debit cards can be used.

I am satisfied with the notifications I receive and the deposits being added on time. But I am not satisfied with the rewards program! I have had my card for almost a year, and have contacted customer service numerous times about why I am not receiving any offers. I know I am eligible for many different types of rewards. Yet am not receiving them. I have been told the problem would be resolved and it still has not.

I had to have my income tax check put on NetSpend because the check was too large to cash and I have managed my finances better with the card than I would have with a check or banking account. The only difference is that I have to pay them with money into the card but that's really not an issue. I often use it for direct deposit and it's a lot easier than having to go to the bank and deposit it. Everyone I've ever talked to at NetSpend has been fabulous. The cash pack is a really big plus. Everything I’ve had to deal with them has been perfect.

I arranged a direct deposit one time and a NetSpend account seemed like an easy way as far as my payroll is concerned. The process involved in their direct deposit feature was easy. NetSpend allows me to get my payroll at least two days before for most transactions. I get transaction alerts that lets me know where I stand financially and I can also check online for my balance. Moreover, I didn't have to carry cash and I was able to make online purchases with the card. I wasn't too crazy about the $5 monthly fee though. I also no longer receive their email alerts so I switched my direct deposit to a different card now.

With my NetSpend card, I can keep track of where I send my money a lot easier. All I need is my card, and I got it set up where I’m getting notifications on my phone for each transaction. It's more convenient to pay bills or make online purchases. I use the direct deposit option frequently, and all I have to do is give them the information from my account and they transfer it. I talked to their team once not long after I got the card, and they were very helpful and friendly. I don’t have to worry with them.

NetSpend was the first debit card provider. I don't like the new ones because the more advanced the technology, the scarier is the sharing of information. There are always fees deducted when using NetSpend. It's convenient to pay bills and do online purchases and I get points. I like how the card allows me do overdraft too. It costs me money but it's an option when I may need it. I use the direct deposit and it's very easy and once I put all the information, two days prior, my money’s on my card. It works out good. Their team is awesome and nice.

NetSpend seemed like a better option and a good company to do business with. I was tired of dealing with banks that are charging so many fees. With NetSpend, I can get paid sooner and their fees aren't as many as some of the other cards. Direct deposit is very easy because all I have to do is give my account info, and I get my tax returns quicker too. Customer service is friendly but I hate that they outsource a lot of their agents because it's difficult having a conversation with someone who only looks and reads the screen that’s like a robot. It's irritating.
Recently, NetSpend allowed someone to hack into my account and stole $1,300 from me. Two weeks to get the money back. So I had to use my credit card, which depleted my savings a lot, and I'm very upset about it. Before the hacking happened, I’ve had nothing but good things to say about NetSpend.

Can't activate card. The WORST!!! Sent them all the info they need, still won't activate card!!! Waited for an hour to talk to supervisor that didn't speak English very well, couldn't get anything resolved!!! They're a ripoff!!! A check better be sent to me for my money on card within 20 days or I'm getting an attorney and will be calling the Better Business Bureau!!!

Identity theft got me into using NetSpend. I use it to pay bills and make online purchases which is very convenient for me. I use their direct deposit frequently. I just give my account number or routing number and it comes 4 days earlier than normal. However, there was an incident where I had a refund of $200 from Best Buy and they blocked my card because they told me that the refund didn’t match and they were going to continue to keep my card blocked for 12 days until the issue was resolved when it was a simple return - I shouldn’t have had to deal with that. It would have been nice too if they could to provide a more proactive feature that would alert us as soon as a charge hits the account that’s not in the same city that we’re in. I only knew about my issue when I got a text message saying that somebody was using my card in another city. If I had not seen that, then I would not have known.

NetSpend makes it easier to manage my finances because I got family out of town that I need to get money to and it's easier to do it that way. They’ve always taken care of what I needed them to pretty quickly.

I like the idea that there are more locations where I can upload my NetSpend card now versus going to the actual ACE locations. I don’t have to drive far. Paying bills or making online purchases is convenient too. Direct deposit comes out of my check which is no problem. It hits two days sooner than my paycheck, which is a great thing. The only thing that I do disagree is that we only could pull out $300 a day. I also tried to pay a bill for my mom’s Capital One, and Capital wouldn't accept NetSpend. The NetSpend team were not knowledgeable too because I’m still waiting for how to get my password reset to get on my phone application. And, they don’t speak English and don’t understand. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience, user-friendly, and there was a quick turnaround, like when I call, I get a good response and the situation is handled right then and there.

I enjoy being a part of NetSpend-ACE. I've been their client for almost five years. Back in 2012, I was trying to cash my Social Security check and I happened to walked in to an ACE checking facility, in which I was encouraged to use their NetSpend debit card and I've been a member since. With the card, I don't need to carry cash, my personal information is secured and I'm able to make online purchases. The direct deposit is extremely easy too. Plus I'm on disability, so I'm grateful for the opportunity to receive my funds a little earlier than I normally would. That's a great benefit because I can pay my bills on time. And whenever there has been an issue or situation, NetSpend team resolved it at that moment or I was directed to an agent or facility that would alleviate the problem. So that was helpful and pleasant. I'm extremely fortunate to have NetSpend-ACE checking, and I have no intentions of changing. It was a wonderful experience.

I used to have an overdraft and NetSpend helped me out monthly. Even though it would be deducted at the beginning of the next month, it allowed me the advantage of having an overdraft. However, I was incarcerated and someone got into my account and spent a lot of money. NetSpend refunded some of it but not all, and I don’t deal with them anymore. I sent them the paperwork while I was incarcerated for 11 months, and they still want me to honor some of the charges. I also receive disability and I didn’t know the cut–off date was the 15th of the month, and NetSpend didn’t make me aware that they were gonna close my account. They issued me a new card and then closed the account, and I didn’t receive my benefits until late the following month. So that was a real inconvenience, but it’s all behind me now. I don’t have the benefits I had with NetSpend but it is what it is.

I was doing my taxes on TurboTax years ago, and they asked if I want card set in and so I got Netspend and have been using it ever since. I was just going to use it for my taxes but I started using the benefits such as the direct deposit and I've stuck with it for some time now. I have two NetSpend cards. What I want to save, I put it on one, and what I want to spend, I put it on the other. It's only a $5 monthly charge, which is not bad compared to the others. I haven't been working in a few months. I was using the direct deposit for everything, but sometimes I go to Family Dollar or Wal-Mart to reload for that little bit of price. It's very easy and simple. Some of them are right around the corner and they're all over the place. They're very easy to find. If one is unsure if a provider does that, just look it up and they’ll tell you.
I had a dispute a few months ago concerning a certain amount of money, and they were perfect. It took a certain amount of days and I got everything back on my cards. They're always great and friendly every time I talk to them. I have recommended them already to my family. I tell them, “Hey, I've been having this card forever. Go ahead and get it.” I love the card.

A friend of mine told me about NetSpend. It was the first one I looked at and it happened to be the best one. I opened a savings account through the card and I can track all my expenses when I get text messages every time I make a purchase or transactions from my card so I know what's going on at all times. I also get my money faster and don't have to stand in line to cash my check. It's like a credit card. It's very convenient to have, but you can't overspend because you only get to spend what you got on the card and that's a plus for me.
I do direct deposits all the time. I set it up and the money comes every month. Anytime I ever had a problem or if I wanted to change my address, customer service is always courteous, kind and gets it done correctly the first time. I like the card and I've recommended it to friends. I have a very pleasant experience every time I use it and I'm happy with it.

I have been a customer of NetSpend for 4 years. This has been very convenient for me, my direct deposit comes early and it is easy to keep my balance and not overdraft. Up until last Friday (4/28/2016) I loved NetSpend. Apparently, there was a $0.76 charge in Virginia that came onto my card. Because I do not reside in that state, it flagged my account as a fraudulent charge. Netspend then blocked the card before contacting me in regards to the charge and blocked all access to my funds. I was not aware until my card declined Saturday evening. I get it, all they are trying to do is protect my account, right?? Well, when I called Saturday, I was advised by CS that the fraud department would not be back in until Monday, and I would have to wait to speak to them before I could have access to any of MY money.
It is now 15:40 Monday afternoon, and I have not heard from the Risk/Fraud department. I have spent the last hour and a half on the phone with customer service. I have went and purchased a temporary card until my replacement comes in the mail (5-10 business days, they would not overnight!!!). I am now being told that they cannot transfer my balance onto my new card. I would have to transfer it in small increments every 24 hours (not to mention payroll will hit this week). I have a mortgage and electricity due, and I cannot get my disabled child her medicine currently. Needless today, I will be closing out the account once I receive the new card in the mail and opening a bank account where I can go and speak to someone about my problems, and that will not hold my money from my use!

I am well-pleased with NetSpend. NetSpend gives me early deposits, I can use my NetSpend card everywhere, and I've never been denied anywhere. I’ve been able to manage my finances better since using my NetSpend card because I can keep track of everything and it shows right up every time I spend something anywhere. It saves a lot of time for me to use my NetSpend card to pay bills or make online purchases. It is also very convenient. I use NetSpend’s direct deposit option every month, and I do use the reload fee sometimes. The process is pretty easy. I don’t have to fill out anything. The people at NetSpend are friendly, and they're efficient because my purse got stolen one time and I was able to call right away, and they took care of stopping my NetSpend right away. I appreciate having NetSpend. Everything works out good.

Getting paid two days early through NetSpend it always a good thing. I use their reload locations, although one of them is still on the list but they don't do it anymore, so I should email NetSpend and tell them to take these people off the list. They don't have any cards and don't know when they're ever going to get any more cards.
I used to put most of my money on NetSpend and it's very good. However, it's advertised that you can take a picture of a personal check and it will be deposited. And I kept trying to do it on my phone, even went to the company that's providing the service, but it can't be provided and I don't understand why. I can't see offering it if you're not going to offer it to everybody. Better make sure that everybody can use it and rolling out something a little early. Now I don't put that much money on there and it's just a backup to my regular bank card so that in case I need to send my daughters some money, because they have a card too, transfers are easy.

After my divorce, getting a NetSpend card was the only way I could have a card - I couldn't get a credit card at that time. It was convenient to have my direct deposit that I would put on. I bought the card years ago in Wisconsin and was using it for a long time. At first, I never had any problems. And then, somebody stole my money off the card and it really hurt me. I haven't been using my card since I had some money taken off of it. I understand that they had to investigate the incident, but still, I was without any money for three and half weeks by doing that. Nevertheless, they replaced my money but I was a little leery on my card.
I'd always used the direct deposit, but I've been doing reload at Wal-Mart now. I put a little bit of money on it because I'm worried about what happened to me. I don't have my direct deposit going on there anymore. I don't trust it all the way. Most of the time, it was okay to use NetSpend for online buying. However, I tried to buy online and some websites wouldn't accept the prepaid card. In summary, I had a bad experience, but it's not NetSpend's fault.

NetSpend had direct deposit and their fees were good so I went with them. With NetSpend, my money is on the card and I don't have to stand in line and could use my card to pay bills and buy food and gas. It's convenient. I use both their reload locations and direct deposit options, which are easy. It's a great experience.

The only thing I really dislike is, where I am now, I can't find any place to load a paycheck. But other than that, using NetSpend works for me.

I've been with NetSpend before they even started advertising. I had a RushCard and I had a card from Walmart and the NetSpend fees were better. I like that I don't even have to leave the house to pay bills and do shopping. Paying bills has been a real blessing because I don't have transportation right now but I've been able to make all my bills automatically paid and don't even have to worry about it. It's absolutely convenient and wonderful. The direct deposit was also extremely easy and reload locations are within walking distance.
Plus, the NetSpend team are friendly. However, I had one bad experience recently with identity theft and communication just wasn't right as far as what I needed to do. Once I reported the problem to get the money put back on to the account, I emailed the letter that I wrote and they still did not put the money back. They said they didn't get it. When they went back and looked, they saw that the date was within the time period but they still wouldn't put it back on. It took me almost three months to resolve that situation. It just took so long and when I would write and ask questions during the process, they would send me a generic email. I never really got an answer from anyone but that's the only thing I've ever disliked. Other than that, I really enjoy NetSpend. It's really, really good. I really like their system for helping you resolve identity theft instances. I love NetSpend.
