The sorry thieving ** stole $150.00 from me. I received a reload pak on 01/16/2015 it showed the money on my reload when I loaded to my accountnow card then said give it 30 minutes before using the card. I paid a bill or so I thought I did but come to find out there was no money on my accountnow card. I called them & was told no transactions had taken place & no Greendot money reloads either. I contacted the thieves at Greendot & was told it would take 48 hours, then 1 day after I threatened with an attorney, then they wanted the same info I had already sent, then I was told 5 days & on 6th day I was told they needed more of the same info, then today I am being told to contact the police dept. I am now going through BBB to file this. I see many who get their money back this way.... I wont be giving up!

    Updated on 02/04/2015

I requested the Regulation E form 4 times...never got that. I filed with BBB (who gives the AAA rating) & got a response with another LAME ASS excuse that it was used to try to put on a blocked account & then to my card. Yes, I did, as I explained to them. I just moved & couldn't find my card so my daughter-in-law tried to put on her card just to find out her card was blocked. We finally found mine & it let me load to my card but disappeared after it loaded & said to give it 30 minutes before using my card. Then yesterday I got a call saying to file a police report. DUH...why do that when I know who stole it?

Today I get a call saying that being that I didn't buy the reload myself, there would be no refund. WHAT? My ex (well almost-ex) bought it for me. He (Green Dot thief) said if you read on the back of the card it says do not give out your card info. It is for your purpose to load to your own card, no one else's. It's a total friggin' scam operation they have going on.

I went to Walmart to load $50 on my RushCard to pay an important insurance bill. It normally takes 15 minutes and I have done this dozens of times. However this time the money never made it to my card. I kept my receipt which has all the details of the transaction. After discussions with Walmart and RushCard it was determined that the fault was with Green Dot, who is responsible for making the transaction between Walmart and RushCard. Needless to say, there have been several phone calls, several promises. I was given a case number, first told I would have my money in 24 hours, then 2-4 days, then two weeks, all lies. Never got my $50 deposit and they charged me $3.74 for the transaction which felt like just another kick in the teeth.

They have my money to do with what they want and my insurance was cancelled. I had to pay a $10 fee to renew. I doubt I will ever see that money again, or get a refund for them screwing me, or an apology for the extra cost I incurred from my insurance company. Their customer service people are experts at giving you the runaround, no real answers to where your money is or what they have done with it, or when you might ever get it back. I don't understand how this scam is even legal, and shame on Walmart for their association with this shady company.

We purchased a MoneyPak at CVS to load my daughter's Green Dot Visa. In the parking lot after purchase we scratched off the code to activate/load.
We called to load. Each call said the MoneyPak had a $0 balance. We called no less than 25-30 times over 2 hours. We were told to file a dispute.
5 days after filing Green Dot called and said they knew that someone had stolen our money and if we report this to the police they could tell the police who did it.

We went to the police several times but they were told they needed a subpoena to get who stole the money. Our jurisdiction demands a crime be over $300 for a court demand.

We called Green Dot who NOW claimed that they had concluded an investigation and KNEW we were victims of intimidation and then committed fraud and we must be lying because the only way to get that money would be to have access to the numbers beneath the scratch off. We got madder. I begged Green Dot Corporate lackey to tell me who--but he said we might go beat them up. I begged him to check and see if the card the MoneyPak had been deposited to was close to where we live/bought the card and/or belonged to anyone in our family---because if it wasn't, if it loaded a card of Mike ** in **, Pennsylvannia, well that would prove our point. He refused to check. This is over $75. They have essentially either stolen or allowed it to be stolen and are claiming by intimidation or avarice we are in on it. SO MAD.

However, they claim the dispute was dropped when we sent copies of money packs and receipts. Now 2 weeks later we're still stuck in California with no money to get home because we put our money on the prepaid card to avoid carrying cash. Does anyone know a good lawyer. I lost over $200 because they refused to post available funds back to my account after pending hotel authorizations expired. They also paid the hotel out of my existing balance, so I lost double the money! To date they have refused to correct their own errors. They gave me the specific dates that the holds were to be released, 12/20 and 12/23/14, and on those dates the funds were NOT released and the transactions simply vanished from my account history. I called customer service multiple times over many days and got nowhere. The last person was supposed to mail me paper statements but it's been 3 weeks and they still have not arrived.

I did not give up on pursuing the matter on the prepaid debit card my 16 yr old son purchased at 7-11. I went to the BBB website & found a number for Green Dot corporate headquarters 866-652-4611. Real live humans answered the phone. After one hour and 4 reps later, we got a resolution. Please feel free to call this number and do not give up getting your money back and being made whole.

He's is only 16 & went to 7-11 located on locust ave in West Long Branch, NJ. You had to be 18 or older but the clerk sold it to him anyway. Spent $420 to buy an xbox on amazon. The card could not be registered because it was already linked to someone else. Can’t get a live person on the phone. What can we do?

So, I guess I'm screwed and I'm going to eat the $75. I also feel this is a scam, and I am so embarrassed as far as my grandson is concerned. But I finally get the card with my name and I use it one time and somehow somebody opened and my wallet app so I canceled the card and they said it would be two weeks before I got another one and I had about 300.00 on it so WalMart has a card. It's free. You add cash and it cost 3.00 and that's it no other fees.

While at work, I went on to the greendot website to add this money to my amex serve card with no success. At first I was told to wait 1 hour to process the card which I did. After the hour passed, I went online to try to add the money only for the system to tell me that my moneypak card was at a $0 "ZERO" balance. Both my sister and I spent hours first trying to get a number that would allow us to speak to an actual human being. Once we did, not only did they not speak English clearly but he continued to say that the funds had been used on a VISA card. He never bother to ask for the moneypak number so how could he possibly know that the money was used on a VISA? Not to mention, their policy is to give a refund in 7 days. If my baby starves because I couldn't buy the formula, you can believe I will find an attorney to "SUE THE BE JESUS" out of them! So are we just out of $ 200 bucks! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Let me start by staying 3 years in a row I added my tax return to a Green Dot card, bi-weekly pay checks etc., with no problem. LOTS of money had come and gone through my Green Dot card. My mother tried to send money she owed me and was having a hard time finding the scratch off MoneyPaks. So when she found some she wrapped 3 and put money on one, saved the others for future transfers. She called me and said she forgot which MoneyPak number it was and gave me all three to try and add. I did unsuccessfully, when she realized she gave me the right number but off by one number.

So several hours later I go to reload with the CORRECT MoneyPak number and I'm transferred to a rep who can barely speak English - told me my account was temporarily suspended and will be reviewed and returned after 10 days (this mean I don't get my paycheck in two days or the money my mother was trying send me). He was argumentative (James Employee number **) and made me feel like a criminal. He ended up hanging up on me. I called back and the next representative told me I have been dropped from the Green Dot company and can never have a Green Dot card again. Very upset, I will never be using Green Dot again and I suggest no one else does either.

I purchased a money pak card at a CVS. I was told by the clerk that it could be used like a debit card. Which it cannot be. When I tried to transfer the funds to my Paypal account it showed a $0 balance. I filed a dispute online and got no response. I filed a complaint with the BBB because I could not find a phone number for a live person. Someone called me back from Green Dot and they showed no record of a dispute being filed. They also showed a $0 balance. I was told to file another dispute, which I did. I got a confirmation this time and sent the requested receipts and proof. The website says issues will be resolved in 5 days. In three days I got another request for receipts, which I faxed this time. Then I waited. After three weeks I called the number and was told it was resolved 10 days ago! But not in my favor - the funds had already been transferred and were no longer available. They would not tell me who funds went to. When I asked what my recourse was, the guy said "you are not going to like it", but all I could do now was to subpoena their records. Such a rip off...

My parents bought my family 3 Visa Green Dot cards for Christmas 2013 thinking these were regular gift cards. We tried authorizing them online (they ask for SSN, which is bizarre and scary - we did not provide that info) and were unable to do so. We had to call their number to authorize the cards. We were unable to use them at all, the retailers said they were never authorized. The card stayed in my wallet for almost a year until my mom reminded me about it. I was shocked when I went online to figure out why I couldn't use the card and found that I had a NEGATIVE balance on the card due to monthly fees that Green Dot was assessing. I called them and spoke to a live person who didn't do anything to help me. The money my parents spent as gifts is gone, Green Dot won't replace it and don't care. I cancelled the card with no hopes of getting any money back from these scam artists.

Very simple - my son received $160 in cash and credit loaded onto a Green Dot prepay VISA card for Xmas. The purchase was at Walmart. They said the card would be loaded and ready to use in a few minutes. The Visa card never was credited. Called The Green Dot number on the back of the card as indicated for problems. Spoke to several people. They requested a copy of the purchase receipt 3 different times (scanned and sent). Each time they said they would call back with a resolution and they did not call.

We contacted Green Dot more times than you could imagine until they finally said they denied the claim (denied what claim??? - this is money loaded onto their card by a Walmart employee and never was credited to the card). Green Dot said that the problem was not theirs but was Walmart’s. Went to Walmart and they said you must resolve through Green Dot. This went on from Dec 16 to Jan 5 and to date Jan 5, 2015 they have denied this "Claim" 6 times and Walmart made a call to them and they escalated to Green Dot Corp of whom just denied the Claim once again...

Now how does two companies WALMART AND GREEN DOT get away with taking a customer’s money, giving that customer a receipt for said purchase and then "deny the claim to receive your purchase"??? DO NOT BUY A GREEN DOT CARD. The service is absolutely terrifying and unbelievable. They treat you like you are a criminal when the entire time they took money through their WALMART dealer and the person left with nothing is YOU with no place to turn at all... You would think this is the most corrupt country in the world... Hmmm???? Amazing. (My son is getting ready to serve this country - joined the Navy and currently is unemployed so this money is very important to him.)

The wasted time/gas to and from a store that happens to be 20 min drive each way and the 20/30 minute calls that result in nothing - just absolutely unprofessional. We are waiting for the Walmart store manager to get back from her vacation so we can make our 6th trip to the store after calling Green Dot Corp today and having them tell us that it's NOT THEIR PROBLEM...

I'm calling the police on the behalf on my disabled mother. Not only did they run her card a while back for a purchase that didn't even go through and have told her repeatedly for over a month they'll refund the money but that's the tiniest tip of the iceberg. My mother lost her card two months ago. She reported it lost and she reported to the social security office to not to send her social security payments to that card. Green dot gave her a new card number and social security sent the money to that card. Weeks later it had never arrived so we called green dot. They said they returned the check because of possible fraud issues and gave us a tracking number.

The tracking number showed the package of almost 3 pounds was delivered to some small town office is Bristol, PA, not the U.S. treasury, guessing that's not her check. Social security and the US treasury have essentially told my mother it's a green dot issue, tough luck on ever getting your money ever because now it's two checks that green dot has, the second one they are just "holding" and apparently have every intention of holding every check until the U.S. treasury receives the first check.

Two months of payment and green dot just keeps giving her the runaround over and over and refuses to fix this. We will call the police though apparently this is common and green dot doesn't give a crap. If we have to hire our family attorney to get her money and sue for legal fees we will. I don't give a crap where her check is, it's not our problem, it's theirs and she needs her money. That's the only money she has, her utilities are going to be shut off in the next week. We've been up to the social security office 8 times, she's been on the phone with green dot over 30 times at least.

These people are scam artists and criminals who are apparently stealing people's money and just keeping it for themselves, they say they just can't "find" people's money or are having trouble refunding or whatever but it's near impossible for anyone to get their own money back. I can't even believe this is a problem, it's absolutely insane. NEVER ever use this company or any of their cards, it may work fine until there's a problem and then you will regret it when you can't pay your bills or feed yourself. What is this country coming to that this is acceptable and no one has done anything?

I checked my statement and realized that a payment arrangement that I agreed to, which was declined and I spoke with that company and we changed the date and amt of the new payment, was still showing on my acct as a negative and my acct was being deducted $200 less. I contacted Green Dot on several occasions and was very unhappy with the service I received. Not only were their reps standoffish but they were unable to help and when I asked for a manager, I was told by one rep that "I am the manager and there's no one else that you can speak with." So I asked if he could send me the information that he claimed he was viewing as correct and he replied with "It'll take two weeks" which is unacceptable.

So I asked for a number for their corporate office and was told that I cannot have that but if I want, someone will contact me in 72 hrs. Again, unacceptable so I disconnected the call and tried back the next day when I spoke with another rep who again took down my information for someone to call me back within 24 hrs, but again no response. At the transaction terminal I was notified the card was expired. Now as I said when I loaded the money it did not tell me the card was expired. I have not received a new card. I contacted Green Dot trying to find out what to do. I was told I had to wait 7-10 days for a new card. (I need the money now. Hence the reason it was sent to me.)

Green Dot does not wait to take their money in fact $12 of the money sent to me went to Green Dot. So not only does green dot get $5 at the point of sale they take $12 out of the money sent to me. Tell me either wait 7-10 days for new card or they can expedite me a card at the cost of another $19 out of my pocket. Or I can go purchase another card for $4.95 and activate that card at which time they will charge another $5 for the activation and use of that card!!! Outrageous. The only "help" they give is taking more money from people whom can't afford it or make them wait ridiculous amounts of time to use their own money. So don't be fooled and don't give them your personal information. We called the phone number on the back of the card and went through their voice automation several times (finally pressing zero several times throughout the process), finally got a person (from India or Turkey or somewhere foreign). They stated that they would temporarily activate it as a temporary account and then sent us to an automatic message that stated the $50.00 balance minus a $5.95 "fee" is what we had to spend. Also it stated they would take the "fee" on the 21st of every month?? We have not tried to use the card yet, so I will update when we use it.... if we are able to use it.

I received a Visa Green Dot card as a gift. I thought it was strange that the card had to be "registered," but figured it was a simple activation process that would require little more than inputting the card number via telephone... WRONG!!! They want your f-ing SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER to "set up your account with Green Dot bank!" My immediate thought was "WTF!?!" I did not activate the card, as I used common sense to realize that once I give my social security number, this will likely be something that will affect my credit and the security of my identity. Being that I tried every avenue possible to get a live person on the phone TO NO AVAIL, so as to claim that I did not have a social security number and see if they could activate the card without one (for my own protection), I decided to shred the card and take the loss of $25.

Always be wary of ANYONE that asks for your social security number. NEVER give out your number unless you KNOW FOR SURE that the person/company asking is legitimate. I will never ever buy one of these f-ing cards for anyone. I make sure to look at the packaging on credit-based gift cards now and if it asks you to register with them, I will not buy it. AMEX is the only one I have seen lately that does not require a registration, but to be on the safe side, I would suggest just giving someone a personal check, a money order, or good old-fashioned CASH.

And what's really sad that's all the money I have and Xmas is in a few days and the investigators have failed to call me after waiting 3 days so green dot/Wal-Mart money card 3 thumbs down. I was given this card as a gift. It was bought for me thinking it was a gift card. I went to register it (first clue that something was wrong, I've never had to register a gift card before) and after that you realize it's a debit card with fees! You start accruing fees (3.00) pretty quickly. I want to cancel this as it was supposed to be a gift card and bought as a 25.00 gift card in Walmart. The phone number they provide yields no results as you cannot speak to a live person! I don't want this and there is NO WAY to cancel this card! Please do not buy this card and I now have to find a way to cancel it. This can ruin a credit rating by charging fees on a card that you don't use and again this is sold as a gift card! This should be illegal to sell that way! People buy these and give as gifts and once the person who receives it, activates it, they're stuck.

I put $20 on a prepaid Green Dot card and registered it on their site while creating a log-in. Wherever I tried to use it, it was declined. I contacted them, and they said they put a hold on it because of suspicious activity. For the first time using it?! And where the first place I tried it was a local gas station?! Are you kidding me?! They said they need me to fax a copy of my driver's license and a copy of my social security card. Problem is...I don't have my social security card. Who does? Most people I know memorize their number by the time they're 10 by which time the card is usually long gone. Why can't they verify my ID over the phone like any other credit card company? I'd be more than happy to provide anything verbally. But now I have to stand in line at the Social Security office to get a new card when my whole life I was fine simply memorizing the number!

I asked them why they don't have a system where you can verify it online. After all, they believed it was me when I first registered and gave them all my personal information. But NOW they won't believe it's me if I verify by phone or online any personal details they would ask me?!! With my bank (Chase) I resolve fraud issues quick and easy online, by phone or by text. I tried speaking to several different Green Dot reps and even a supervisor but they all adamantly insisted that this is the only way. The $20 is simply not worth all this headache. Thank God I didn't put more than that on the card. I hate this company and their customer service!

(I'm in Georgia) The night before I left for my trip I tried to activate the card 3 times on greendot.com and all 3 times it kicked it back saying invalid information. I decided since I had to be on the road early that I would just call their toll free number on their card once on the road and talk to a human. I got to my first gas stop and called Green Dot and their customer service rep informed me the card had been blocked for "Suspicious Behavior". I told her that I couldn't even activate the card and I was on the road 300 miles from home with a truck empty and needing gas. She informed me that the only way to activate the account was to fax her a picture of my driver's license and my social security card. I told her no way am I sending that information to a third world country.

Long story short, we (my boss and I) have conference called Green Dot well over a half dozen times, we have sent in every receipt and photo of the card we have but we will NOT send in any ss#. Every time we are told it's the only way we are getting our money back by Green Dot. Today we had a conference call with my boss and I, and the manager of Kroger Grocery customer service corporate stores and Green Dot and the rep from Kroger was appalled at how we were treated and our problems still not resolved!!

Green Dot put 4 different people on the phone and each time we were all put on hold for 20 minutes plus in between Green Dot hand offs and all the way up the line we talked to people from other countries all repeating the same line over and over "If you send us all your personal info, we can unblock the card". We have sent in receipts of our purchase of the card showing 500 dollars was put on it and Green Dot said they would investigate and get back to us in 24-48 hours... It's been well over a week and no call back and nothing resolved. Do NOT buy into this company. It's the biggest scam on the planet!!

During my lunch break I offered to pay for some crepes at the restaurant nearby, the card was declined. Confused, knowing there were funds in the account, merely $94.10 to be exact, I tried using it at Publix grocery store thinking it was just an issue with the restaurants POS card processing machine. Nope, still declined. So I contacted customer service. They told me that my card was blocked due to "suspicious" activity. I then responded, "What are you talking about, I only used it to paypal my friend and order a pizza." "Diane" the "supervisor" said that they will not unblock the card until they can verify my driver's license and social security card which can be faxed. I asked how long will it take for my card to be unblocked after I send in the required documents. She said "TEN BUSINESS DAYS. IT WILL GO THROUGH A REVIEW PROCESS." Really? Ten business days to unlock a card? Absolutely ridiculous.

I could have given her any information she needed including the fact I can login on greendot.com to access my account. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said that she is the supervisor. I asked the number to corporate and she said she cannot give that number out but corporate can contact me back in 1-2 business days. The lady kept telling me all they need is my DL and SS card and I can have my money. I asked her if it was her daughter and someone took her money and told her all you have to do is "give us copies of all your personal info", would you tell her it's a good idea... She said it depends on the circumstances but no. Uh lady, you even know this is a scam.

I even asked her how many times a day does she have to take these calls and how many accounts are put on hold a day. She of course couldn't release that information. Just a simple statistic, lady, on how many people you do this to? That's all I want! Although she repeated that she understood my frustration and that she was Sorry in her best English possible she clearly was not. She talked over me and for every question I asked she said she couldn't give me that info! I never got a single notice in form of text, email, call, Morse code, nothing from the Green Dot company letting me know that there was "suspicious activity" with my card. I also told her that I gave her company a chance to fix this and that I would be filing with the BBB and I would be giving reviews on every possible website and making sure I go to social media with this scam.

She of course said that there's no reason to do that, just give my DL and SS card. Uh no. I did my part and let this company try to make this right before I posted or reviewed on any site. This is the route they had me go. Glad I was at an ATM and not trying to purchase something in person. How embarrassing would that have been. It's ridiculous that I went to the store, paid for this company's service and now they are not fulfilling their end. I'm sure they will let this go on until their monthly fees eat up my measly little $20. When she was clearly done talking to me she decided that she wasn't the only one I could talk to. But she would have to take my # so someone could call me back. I said, "Great, here's my #. When can I expect a call?"... 24-48 hrs. Ha, of course.

You have 48 hours and then I'll be calling the # on the back of the card and any other # I can find for this company every 10 min until something is done. I'm a stay at home mom and I can make the time to drive this company nuts until something is done. I will not give copies of my DL and SS card. Hope everyone read the reviews before buying this and not after as I did! Good Luck to all of you going through the same thing. I also highly suggest that if you have to use these products don't put on more money than you can stand to lose!

I ordered a replacement card on 9/26 because I was overcharged by a Company. Green Dot Company {customer service} told me I would receive my card in 7-10 business days. 10/11/14 still no card {the card is going to my PO Box so I should have a card}. I have a total of 598.18. Kids, bills, and everything else piling up. This has been the worst experience of my life. I'm not only angry but sad being that I have kids, bills and my own that I can't spend. Green Dot told me to have another replacement sent out. {What happen to the first replacement card}? Where is it? Did they even send it? I mean I’m getting mail from everyone else. No Green Dot card being that I have Direct Deposit set up. I'm trying to get that canceled out. I don't know if to cancel the replacement card, {that I don't have}, or what? I called all day everyday, only to get the runaround. They're asking for my SS#, old card #, they want me to put a physical address on file.

Being that I have been dealing with Green Dot for at least 4 years, I have never had this issue before. Always got my card in my Po Box no problem. I see they offer the FedEx (2- 3 business days for 19.95). I'm scared to try that. I need my card. I don't need my card going to another State when I’m in another, a whole other State. At this point I don't know what to do. I would like to close my card. However, I’m scared. I want get a check with my balance on it, which is $598.18. I'm looking into finding a Lawyer for a Class Action Lawsuit. This is the worst ever, never again. EVER!!!!! I'm going to get my $598.18 back. {Even if I have to go back to the people that deposited the money on my card and ask them to reverse the transaction}.

All Green Dot does is give you the run around. I never had a problem with a Moneypak. However, I’m seeing that there are lots of complaints on here. When I called on 10/10/2014 the man told me to go and buy a Moneypak and call him back with the information. Registering it to my name. I asked him would I do that when I already have a card registered to my name? That would make no sense and that sounds like some type of scam. I can't and I will not take a $598.18 loss. It's about to be Christmas time and I can't afford this to happen to me nor my kids. I don't want to get locked out of my account. Even though I think I already am. Being that it states I have a security block on my account. {I need my card to unlock it, a card that I never even got in my PO Box}.

I guess I’m going to be forced to order another replacement card. Hoping that I get my card in 7- 10 days. I don't know what's the big deal about sending a replacement card. They said it either got lost in the mail or someone stole it. {I’m thinking they never sent it}. I don't know, all I know is if you don't have a Green Dot card, you better not get one. I'm trying hard to get my money off that card and cancel my Green Dot card. ASAP!!!! This is the worst.

This company is the biggest money laundering scam I have seen in my life. How can you scratch the card off and the number has already been used. I called in regards to this on a Friday and was told to submit my proof of purchase by fax. I faxed the information and called back to make sure they received the information and I was informed that the information was not received yet. I sent the information again on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday via fax. Each and every time I called I was told they did not receive the information and could I re-fax it again. I even went to FedEx and Paid for it to be sent off and they stated they still have not received the information. I emailed it to them and they still haven't received the information.

This process has been a nightmare. The funds were needed to be upload so I may pay my daughter's tuition and my bills and now I have to encounter a late fee because this company recycles the number and they deal with a 1960 database that is not able to generate new numbers for people that PAY for the card, and PAY for the HEADACHE. If you thinking about buying one don't save yourself the headache and the frustration and go out and get a gift card or an AMERICAN EXPRESS SERVE CARD. At least they have the capability of assisting you and have a more up to date database.

What I was saying to them was: I did not take $150 from no one. They stated that the card was not used properly. I responded saying: How do you use a debt card? The only thing they kept saying was it wasn't used properly. So I asked how can I get the rest of my money $1480.57. My direct deposit went in last Wednesday total 936$. My wife called and needed 200$ right away in her account to make our car payment. I called our credit union and I asked if I could give them my Green Dot prepaid visa card # and have 200 put into our account to make the car payment with them. They told me no problem. They ran my card, then told me they were having a problem getting any response-not rejected, just nothing. They ran the card 2 more times, same thing. I went online and discovered 3 payments for 204$ had been authorized (apparently Green Dot charged a 4$ fee for each) for a total of 612$!! I called Green Dot and they verified the authorizations went through, and they had the 3 codes authorizing and everything looked normal except the vendor had not yet claimed the funds.

I called the credit union and they said nothing was sent to them. They could not accept the codes from me, per policy. I called Green Dot who put all blame on my bank and refused to call or accept any call from my bank to verify. Green Dot said vendor could cancel, and it would then take 3-5 bus days for the money to show in my account. If not canceled, money would remain pending 14 days!! My bank said they could not cancel because they had not received anything at all so they had no official transaction. I went online today and made a purchase for 56$. The purchase request was rejected. (I have been doing business for 8 years with this company and have made hundreds of purchases with no problem).

I went to Green Dot website and the amount was pending again!! I stopped in at Target, made a 4$ purchase -purchase again rejected, went home and found the amount pending! So a total of $665 for 5 purchases from 3 different vendors (a bank, Target, and a trusted long-term company)-all authorized by Green Dot, none paid or have any means to be paid. My credit union gave me a pay day loan to survive the next couple of weeks...fee is 90$. My car payment was late. I still have $70 on my card I probably can not spend and Green Dot has 12$ of fees. At this point Green Dot only repeats if vendors cancel (which they cannot) the money will be back in 3-5 bus days... otherwise 14 days... but how will I be able to access my money when it shows up?

Obviously there is a problem on their end, and they have no concern to fix anything. They keep saying all is well on their end. One vendor, maybe...3 vendors...I think it is obvious they (Green Dot) are screwing up! What do you all think???

Had been traveling internationally and domestically for a year. I bought a Green Dot card and filled it on the way out of Vegas to Puerto Rico, as I did not want my personal bank info used in Puerto Rico. So I loaded $1,000USD onto the card and purchased a ticket to San Juan for $222USD. Upon arriving in Puerto Rico I basically used cash, with the exception of using the card a few times at a large department store for a clothing purchase.

On arriving back at my accommodation, I checked Greendot.com for balance inquiry only to find nearly $500 in unauthorized charges. Some of them from Delta. I called them first and they corrected the problem immediately. I then called Green Dot and it took over an hour to talk to a person. Anyone who has had to call customer service can attest they outsource their customer service to India and why I don't deny any person to try to make a decent wage. Not one of the people there was interested in trying to sort out these fraudulent charges. After several more attempts at sorting this out I gave up out of frustration as it was ruining my holiday.

Well the last week I was in Puerto Rico, I ran into a fellow veterinarian in Puerto Rico and told him about my situation with Green Dot's customer service that is outsourced to India. He being from India himself sympathized with me and offered to speak to them on my behalf. I agreed as $500US had been stolen from me and it would help to have the funds back. We made the call and they actually refunded the money, though first they had first canceled the other card. I told him I would be flying to the Virgin Islands next week and here is the address to send the new card. He relayed all of this info to them and I even received an email with address change and notification that a new card was being sent. I thanked my friend and looked forward to having the stolen monies back and a new card.

Well here we are today on 11/09/20014 and still have yet to receive the card. On top of that, the other card was never cancelled until last week and although they refunded the $500US there was still ongoing fraud on this card until it was finally cancelled last week. The call we made was on 26/08/2014! I called today and inquired about when the card is going to arrive and while the card was not cancelled till last week. They said it was cancelled due to a complaint about fraudulent activity. I explained that the claim was made nearly 2 weeks prior. She also informed me that a new card was never issued.

Although she could send me a check for the remaining balance of $78.23US. Also that they will never reissue me another Green Dot card ever again.. HA as if I would ever want one. I explained I am traveling and can't do much with a check but also asked about the other $500USD that was stolen and the additional $400US that was stolen again. I was told she would ask her supervisor about it even though I was told she was the supervisor.

Basically it boils down to this company gladly taking your money shutting you down with their shoddy customer service. Then turning their back on you after you make a complaint by literally banning you from their service. This is a company that needs to be held accountable for their actions. Especially with them in charge of people's finances. While I can afford to take the $500US hit to my pocket there are probably other people that can't. I know some people rely on these cards to pay bills such as rent, insurance, mobile, etc.

Us collectively as consumers need to make sure none of our friends, family or co-workers ever use this company. I will be active in social media to make sure I put the truth out about this horrible company. I hope one person can read this or any of the other comments on here and it keeps them away from using Green Dot.

I've been a GreenDot customer for several years. I had been loading around $1,000 per month onto the card every month and use it to pay online bills and make purchases in stores. I got a VIP card which costs extra money several months ago and had no problems with it until one day I went to the store and my card was declined. I was sure I had money on it and checked my balance which was over $200 at the time. I then proceeded to call customer service and received an automated message saying that my card was blocked, that I could not reload it or register a new card with GreenDot, and to press a key to allow my remaining balance to be taken off the card. I did that, and then attempted multiple times to contact someone over the phone to speak to about this since I had no idea what was going on.

Annoyingly, there was no option to speak to a human, even after pressing 0 or 5 (as suggested by live chat). I then e-mailed GreenDot through the web site and got a phone call from someone who didn't speak English very well and was hard to understand. But it seems that I was flagged by their system automatically for "suspicious activity" -- which made me think that perhaps it was because I moved to another state and had family getting me Moneypaks in my old state, but they wouldn't go into detail about how or why this happened, and told me that they couldn't override the decision. So after 3 days, I still have no idea why they want to lose me as a customer and won't even let me explain my situation, because there should have been nothing that was "suspicious" about my usage of the card if anyone had really listened to me.

So after paying them the VIP fee + maintenance fee for years, they decided they want to lose me as a customer, won't give me a good explanation, or another chance. This has caused a lot of issues for me with paying bills and receiving money from my family now, when I've already been stressed about moving for the last month. Very frustrating and I would no longer recommend this service to anyone.

I bought a Green Dot card to receive my unemployment benefits via direct deposit on the card. The process began by purchasing a card at the local drug store, but this is only a "temporary card" and you have to wait 7-10 business days to receive your "personalized card". On their website (the specific url: http://www.greendot.com/mycard/help) it says that you CAN use your temporary card to withdraw cash at an ATM. However, upon attempting this, it DID NOT work. I called customer service and cited how the website said that ATM access was allowed with a temporary card and their reply was that the website "...needed to be updated and that you cannot use your temporary card for ATM transactions."

I bought the card because their website said you could withdraw cash and upon pointing this out to customer service, they had nothing to say of worth. Advertising certain capabilities and then discovering that they're incapable is, to me, the definition of false advertising. I had to pay my rent and as we all know, the landlord does not accept debit cards. I told customer service this, begging them to allow me to either have ATM access or to transfer the money to my sister's permanent/personalized Green Dot card, which they would not do. I asked to speak to a supervisor which they also would not do. I explained how I was accumulating late fee's for my late rent and they did not care.

Having worked in customer service myself, you learn that ANYTHING can be done on their end, even when they say they cannot, but Green Dot refused to accommodate me in any way. Worse yet, they would put me on hold and not come back, at one point I hung up after 23 minutes of them putting me on hold unannounced. Green Dot is by far the worst experience I've ever had as a consumer and I strongly urge EVERYONE to avoid them at all costs. The American Express "Serve" prepaid card allows for ATM access with the temporary card, so I know it is a capability that Green Dot could fulfill, but it seems like they just want to keep you from your money as long as possible, while still allowing you to purchase items with the temporary cars. I assume this is so they can sell the data of your habits to marketing firms.

The card will not accept cash loads, and I am ineligible to establish a new account with this company in the future.

I could not access a customer service representative through normal channels, and had to select the "report a card lost or stolen" option in order to speak with a representative, who told me that my account had been terminated due to my possession of multiple cards. I was also informed that no further information regarding this decision could be provided. I have used this card, my ONE AND ONLY card, over the past several years for multiple direct deposits, money transfers, check cashing, cash loads, and various purchases, always under the same name, with the same information and security protocols. Any internal verification of these facts would instantly determine the truth of this.

As a direct result of this irreparably damaging and completely arbitrary action, the personal consequences to me are that my home and my very livelihood are now in jeopardy. By their adverse actions affecting me this morning, Green Dot/Walmart have clearly indicated to me that my many thousands of dollars of business through the years are neither valued nor desired by them. Accordingly, the consequences to Green Dot/Walmart will consist of the immediate termination of my patronage of all Green Dot/Walmart services, products, and associated affiliates. In addition, I will encourage my family, friends, and acquaintances to terminate their use of these services, and I will at every opportunity endeavor to portray Green Dot/Walmart and their services, products, and associated affiliates in the worst possible light. I will henceforth consider Green Dot/Walmart as being undesirable, and of no value whatsoever.

I had a block placed on my Walmart Money Card by Green Dot Bank due to suspicious activity. The activity in question occurred on 8/10 and 8/11/2014. No one from Green Bank had contacted me before a direct deposit was supposed to post on 8/18/2014. When the deposit had not posted as usual, I contacted the customer service number and then found out about the hold. When they went through the attempted charges and I confirmed that some were not mine, I was told that they would have to issue a new card and that it would take approximately 2 weeks for the new card to arrive. I then called them on the 19th to close the account and get a refund. I was informed at that point that a refund would also take about 2 weeks to arrive. I protested this and stated that they must have some express delivery options. They did and charged me $19.95 for express delivery. I then continued calling daily through the week to check on the status of the refund. Each time I was told that it had been processed and the refund check was on its way.

The last call, 8/25/2014, assured me again that the refund check was sent via FedEx. I received notifications from FedEx of pending shipments and had not received the usual notification as of 8/25/2014, which made me suspicious of whether the check had been shipped. Sure enough, I got a FedEx notification on the evening on 8/25/2014 that the check had just been picked up in Los Angeles, CA on 8/25/2014. I have been placing direct deposits on my account every two weeks from my paycheck and the monthly amount has been enough to get the monthly fee waived. My suspicion, based on the other recent complaints from others who have had sufficient direct deposits to waive fees, etc., the fact that I was never contacted regarding the "suspicious activity" until a problem on the card when I was unable to get my direct deposit to go on to the account, and the fact that it took almost a week for the refund to be sent from Green Dot indicates to me that Green Dot is having financial problems and is trying to get rid of some of its non-productive liabilities (depositors at banks are considered liabilities since money is owed to the depositors) thereby improving their asset to debt ratios.

    Updated review: Aug. 26, 2014

Recently on August 24, 2014, I wrote a review on this page regarding the block Green Dot Corporation placed on my Green dot card for "suspicious activity". The person that I am I could not settle for "I'm sorry, I understand...." I contacted the Green Dot Corporation and I was able to leave a message but never could speak to a live person.

Lo and behold someone from Green Dot called me back, however the message was so distorted I could not understand what the person was saying. I heard bits and pieces of the message but heard enough to know it was a representative from Green Dot. I contacted the Corporation again and I kept pushing numbers until a live person answered.

Mr. M. answered and asked me the situation and yet again I told my story. The first thing he said was "I understand"... and I told him they all sounded scripted. I also told Mr. M, fine I don't have to use Green Dot any more but all I wanted was some clarity as to why my card was blocked and cancelled especially since I had been a Green Dot card holder for 10 years.

After we talked about it Mr. M. said I will look into this and see what I can do if anything. He advised that there were no guarantees but he would check it out. He took my number and end of conversation. On 8/25, I received several phone calls from Mr. M. regarding my card but was unable to speak with him. He didn't leave his extension but said to call him back. I called the number I used and a female answered my call and of course I had to give the whole story as to why I was trying to reach Mr. M, in which I knew it was going to be hard to reach him but I continued to try.

I told the lady that I didn't feel like going through all that again and that Mr. M knew my story and was trying to reach me. The young lady reviewed my account and said there was no block on my account. She then told me to hold and she read over my account and transferred me, I thought, here we go. The lady I was transferred to Ms. S. heard my story read over my account and said Ms. M your card has already been unblocked. I told her that was what the previous lady said but I needed to make sure. She advised that Mr. M., had the account unblocked. I was so relieved that my account was now active again. I give all praises to God for using Mr. M and Ms. S. as vessels to make this possible. Prayer changes things even through the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I do thank Green dot for such loyal employees and I do understand why Green Dot blocked the card but at the same time they should check with the consumer first to make sure we legitimately are green dot card holders and check our history with them. Again, I thank God for answering my prayers and for Green Dot for taking the time to listen and reinstatement my card privileges!!!!

I recently got blocked from my Green Dot account with no notice or reason. I maintained a Green Dot account for 10+ years. I used my account regularly with no violations of the terms and conditions but am told that due to suspicious activity on my account I am blocked from EVER using Green Dot again. After loading $1500 to my account with 4 MoneyPaks (you are supposed to be able to load up to $2500 as a VIP member, in which I was), I was prompted to withdraw any funds on my account and to NEVER attempt to use the services again. My use of this card was to pay bills online and to make any other type online purchases from merchants. I have never used my card for any "suspicious" purchases and who at Green Dot can determine what purchases I make are suspicious? I never reported my card for any purchases that I thought were unusual. All I was doing way paying for a cruise.

After finally getting an English speaking agent I am told that the reason for blocking my card was due to suspicious activity. What? If there was suspicious activity why didn't you call me to ask and you would have known I was paying for a purchase that I took my hard earn money and put on the MoneyPaks so I COULD PAY FOR MY PURCHASE... DUH!!!! The very reason a Green Dot account is used. Wal-Mart no longer carries MoneyPak in Waldorf, MD, which tells me that their biggest marketing provider knows that their services are suspicious and that they are running scams on consumers. I can't wait to see this company get investigated and forced to repay all the consumers they have ripped off. (This review was revised through my own similar experience as a Green Dot Card Holder.)

The scam is that they charge you for a MoneyPak that requires you to submit a refund request to get your added funds and the process takes up to 21 days with no refund of the MoneyPak charges. Wal-Mart no longer carries MoneyPak in the two closest states which tells me that their biggest marketing provider knows that their services are suspicious and that they are running scams on consumers. Green Dot Prepaid cards are not worth anybody's time in purchasing...I'll elaborate as to why offering my personal experience with these people.

After I purchased this card, I went through the activation process as required in offering my personal information as everybody has to do when first setting up the card. Afterwards I had loaded a said amount of money onto this card which is part of the setup process between 10.00 to 500.00 on the initial load of money. I had setup the Direct Deposit option that is offered on this card to have my payroll sent directly to this card. When my first direct deposit was sent to this card, they put a block on my card. Their reason they gave me was due to suspicious activity. It was a direct deposit that I had setup using their option given on this card. As a result of this block they put on my card, my paycheck was suspended from my employer to my card until they lift the block. Then they told me I had to fax a copy of my drivers license and social security card for security purposes so their investigations dept could verify my identity. Next they told me that my direct deposit would be rejected after the block is lifted. Now I had to wait 10 days before the block was lifted through their investigations dept. Customer service is a complete joke. They have no answers to offer to your questions. I went through 4 of their agents and 1 of their supervisors which offered absolutely no help whatsoever.

Green Dot Corporation as far as I'm concerned are not a reputable company to get involved with. Please stay away from these cards or having any dealings with this company, you will regret it if you do.

After the long activation process with whomever the process was I slowly gave them my mailing address and told them that I did not receive any mail at my physical address and I needed my permanent card sent to my PO box. They assured me it would, BUT for security purposes I had to wait 24 hours and call back and give my mailing address due to security purposes!!! I did call back the very next day and gave the mailing address. Well 7 days passed, bill collectors calling, no card. Called the company and it was mailed to the physical address!!! And I have to wait another 7-10 days for another one. Needless to say I'm pissed and will never use this card again. Walmart should be ashamed to place their name and logo on this crap!! Another thing I didn't like was giving all your personal info to these people way over sea. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CARD. IT IS PURE **!!!

I had a family emergency in imperial beach California. I live in Florida. Went to a 711 in San Diego. Told the guy that works there my problem. He said buy a green dot card. Well I did?? Well I put 200.00 dollars on the card all together. It came out to be 220.00 dollars. Never bought a green dot card before and will NEVER AGAIN. So I took the card to my family's house. Had to use a phone to get started. Well got on green dot's Website, it asked for a sixteen digit number. Well the card only had fourteen?? So went back to 711 where I bought it. They said where did I buy it. I told them "da here." The guy that sold it to me said he can't help me. I said "WHAT?" He said he would have to talk to the owner of the store. So another day no money.

So went back the next morning and the lady said I would have to come back when Sam is here. I said "you can't help me." She said "no??" I said "Wow why not? I bought it here." She said "I didn't sell it to you." Asked "when does Sam here?" She said "2 pm." I said "it's 8 am. I have to wait until then." She said "yes." So went back called green dot couldn't get a HUMAN. So sat around till 2 pm went back to 711, talked to Sam. He ran the card and said that I spent the money on the card. I said "what? How can I have spent the money when I even couldn't register online??" He said "someone spent it." I asked for the manager. He said "I'm the manager." I said "okay. What about the owner?" He said "She won't be in until Tuesday." I said "I have to wait that long?" He said "yes." I said "WOW I need that green card so had to wait again."

So this went on for days. I was only going to be in California for two weeks. I bought this green dot card on May 24 2014, and just today August 14 2014 Going back and forth for months between 711 and green dot, what a very stressful. All I have to say I will NEVER DEAL WITH 711 OR GREEN DOT CARD AGAIN.

This is my response to Green Dot after they received my complaint through the BBB: I do not accept this apology or explanation from Green Dot because customer service was unhelpful and only recited the obvious script in front of them. I was told by one representative that the customer service department was located in the Philippines and that they had no telephone contact with the Green Dot Corporate office except through emails. That in itself is totally unacceptable.

After finding out that my Green Dot "VIP" card was blocked on June 30, 2014, I contacted the company for an explanation. I was told that someone was claiming the same Money Pak card and then I was told that I would have to provide proof by sending a copy of the Money Pak card and the receipt. As I had already thrown out the receipt, I sent a copy of the Money Pak card later that evening on June 30, 2014. I contacted the Rite Aid store where I purchased the card to inform them of the situation and also requested a copy of my original receipt. I was faxed a copy of the Money Pak purchase receipt on July 1, 2014 the Rite Aid's store manager and promptly emailed the receipt and for a second time the Money Pak card to Green Dot dispute office.

July 1, 2014, I contacted Green Dot informing them that I had forwarded the proof they requested. I also asked for an explanation of how someone could claim another person's Money Pak card and not show any proof, seeing it was obvious that I purchased the Money Pak and loaded it to my Green Dot card. I got no explanation. It was repeated to me over and over and over again that the investigation would take 5 business days to complete and that it was being sent to the "Escalation Department".

July 2, 2014, Due to Green Dot's mishandling of this situation, I incurred two return checks, one from my credit card company and the other from my bank. I pleaded with Customer Service for a quick resolution as the 4th of July was approaching and my funds were being held unnecessarily. "Jul 2, 2014 USAA RETURNED CHECK CHG ($25.00). 06/30/2014 CAPITAL ONE ONLINE PYMT AuthDate 30-JUNE Payment -$650.01. 07/02/2014 Returned Online ACH Payment Other $650.01."

Before I was aware of the hold on my Green Dot card, I paid both credit card bills as I normally do unaware that a Money Pak card I bought and loaded on June 27, 2014 had "allegedly" been compromised. I had a business trip scheduled on July 10, 2014 and needed to purchase the airline ticket that required access to my money being held by Green Dot. The flight ended up costing me and additional $100 by the time my funds were finally released on July 9, 2014.

"On July 8, 2014, Mr. ** contacted Green Dot to request an update on the investigation of his Card as it was past the time frame previously advised." This is unacceptable statement made to the BBB by Green Dot Corporation. July 9, 2014, Now 6 days past the investigation time frame I was advised of, I spent the entire work day trying to get my account unlocked. I contacted anyone I could find associated with Green Dot. I tried contacting Green Dot corporate office but both times after requesting to speak with a bank representative the call was dropped.

July 9, 2014 at 3:53PM, I contacted the Bonneville Bank and managed to speak with a bank representative who informed me that although Green Dot is associated with their bank, Green Dot accounts are not held there. The rep told me that I needed to contact Green Dot's "Escalation Department" and provided me with a telephone number.

July 9, 2014, 4:01PM, I called ** and spoke for 11 minutes with a gentleman who identified himself as Mr. **. He asked how he could help, then wanted to know how I got the number I called in on. Mr. ** appeared not to have any details regarding my situation. I had to retell the same story I had given to Green Dot customer service since June 30, 2014. Mr. ** told me he would look into it and call me back which he eventually did. July 9, 2014, had I not spent my entire day on the telephone and internet, I truly believe that I would not have heard back from Green Dot. July 15, 2014, I closed both Green Dot accounts.

I purchased the card from Family Dollar initially and loaded 10 dollars on the card, my objective for getting this card was to use it for extra money and certain expenses because there was a larger limit on the card than my Wells Fargo account. I figured using it for purchases like trips and music purchases would be great because I can always reload the card when I need to. I needed to purchase a trip with Expedia.com, I loaded the card using their money pak cards the total was about a little more than $2000.00 cash, which should not be a problem especially when the limit on the card is 10,000.00.

I booked the trip with a live rep at Expedia.com and everything seemed to be ok. When I attempted to use my card for gas the next day it was declined, so I paid in cash instead. I called the 866-795-7597 which was an automated system, I pressed option for declined purchases and it told me that my card was shut down and I was not able to open another account. This irritated me because it was an automated service not a live person and I was not able to speak with live person until Monday morning. When I FINALLY GOT IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE I was transferred from KAT TO GHIE TO PAMELA, 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE. She started talking and I immediately stopped her, because the process in which they complete their investigation and shut down a person’s card is just the craziest process I have never heard especially being that I have been a banker for 6 years so I am very aware of the banking and federal reserve process. Then she tried to tell me that my transactions were posted even though they showed on the green dot app & online as still pending.

When I attempted to ask why my card was shut down PAMELA told me she could not tell me why. So I immediately went off because when fraudulent activity is done whether it be an alert or not the consumer should be able to verify if it is or not, I was never asked if my transactions were fraud or not, my card was just terminated. The fact in the matter that it was not fraud at all is what bothers me the most. I have all the receipts for the money pak cards as well as bank accounts the money came from as well as my direct deposit from my job to Wells Fargo proving that the money has been worked for legally. I thought purchasing this card was a safer choice for making online transactions as they proudly promote on the damn card but it is bad advertisement.

If my vacation does not go through I will be suing this company because then Pamela would have given me very incorrect information, by the way you can only load 500 at a time so what if you had to pay tuition for your children’s college tuition, you cannot load more than 500 at a time on the card, then they have the nerve to make you purchase another card for $4.95, then have the nerve to have the automated system ask you if you want to load any other cards only to shut the damn thing down. I have screen shots of site and app, so I dare them to try me. NEVER USE MONEY PAK.

We all sat down and tried for hours to contact a Green Dot/MoneyPak agent to no avail. We logged on the site so that I could show them exactly what I had done and they witnessed the same thing I did, my cards had "0" balance.

The police officer said that there has been hundreds of thousands fraud complaints with Green Dot/MoneyPak. This is not RIGHT. The only reason I was did these was because I had a bad experience making online purchases with my credit card and debit card online. I thought I would be safe using the cards. I said "** that don't make sense, I already have a $100 green dot scratch off moneypak card the same one that I bought on July 19, 2014 the number ** and it has a balance of $100 dollars that I put in because you instructed me to do so." ** said: "no sir, that card shows a zero balance." I said "**, I just check the green dot visa card number ** and it still has the original $100 dollars in the account. And besides I do not have money to buy another green dot moneypak scratch off card." ** said "then sir, I can help you" and then hung up the phone. I submitted a request for a GreenDot Prepaid card online, only to be denied because I did not exist. I double check all information, even triple checked. Still I do not exist. I applied for a couple more prepaid credit cards with no problem, "I do exist" according to the companies. No longer need a Green Dot. Other companies have offered me free loading and free ATM withdrawals, which you cannot get with Green Dot.

Received a Visa Prepaid card for Christmas 2013 and registered shortly after receipt. Recently tried to utilize the card for a dinner purchase and the card was rejected. After further investigation, I found out that the card incurs a $5.95 'service fee' per month after registration. No indication of the service charges that will be incurred appear on the card nor is there any notification during registration of the card of applicable charges. I spoke to a Green Dot representative and they confirmed the charges and indicated that they are not willing to reallocate the funds originally applied to this card. Other than paying $5.95 per month for a computer program to automatically deduct the money from the card, I am trying to determine if there were any other services provided by this cost? Major Ripoff... I am still trying to determine what service was received by the card holder (Me....) that resulted in a deduction of $5.95 per month.

I had rented a scooter from a company which needed to place a deposit until the scooter was returned. I waited 9 business days to call the company in regards to the money being held. Owner verified he released funds and my bank was the establishment to contact. It was stated he would do anything to help this along. Once calling GD, I realized this issue wouldn't be resolved so I asked to speak with a supervisor. This seemed to be the repeating of events for the next day. Call, CSR no help, get to a supervisor. Conflicting information from one to the other.

Yesterday, I was on the phone for an hour, being placed on hold for over half an hour at once. Today, I had to call them over 10 times each time being put on hold for at least 10-30 minutes. I just hopefully resolved today's problem after being on the phone, for kid you not 6 hours between GD CSR/Supervisors and the merchant. I was given a fax number for the merchant to supply a copy of release of funds; I was told this was the only fax line. To our dismay and efforts, no fax was received only communications error on merchant's fax line.

I call back stating the fax was not operating. She says "That fax is working fine. Let me give you another fax (I was told there was only one fax number, now ok two)." I call the merchant, give the other fax number, not working again. I call back and the CSR says "Oh we are having problems with the 21# fax number, let me give you another." Same fax number, so I am given an email address. I phone the merchant and give him that email address. I call GD to verify and they are stating there is no email, all the fax lines work fine (I mentioned the inconsistency of information, that someone reported to me the fax machine wasn't working which is why they gave me the email address).

I get nowhere, call the merchant and am sending the message myself. I send it to the same email address and after waiting an hour on THIS call, I am told they've received it and the letterhead isn't official enough. So I call the merchant. He sends in his merchant information for his business because they aren't taking his "official letterhead". With the updated information, I forward the email on as the last to GD. I called a CSR, asked to verify that the email was received. She sends me to a supervisor. The supervisor has me repeat everything I've mentioned the 8 times before that day and the days before. She states to me that a letter of release by the merchant would do anything to help release my funds.

I flipped, asked to speak with her supervisor. She stated she has no supervisor. I asked to be switched to one of her peers. She tells me she has no capabilities to transfer me and she is sorry, oh so sorry (that the 6 supervisors I spoke with in the last 24 hours lied to me that this would not release my funds). She then states she took it up with her supervisor and her supervisor verified that a release of freeze wouldn't do anything to help my situation. I asked her why she stated she had no supervisor for me to speak to, when she just told me she spoke with them (conflicting information). I was told if I want to speak to her peers, I can call the 1 866-795-7597. She can't help me.

Every time I had to call and verify and check up on this process, I waited at least the first 10 minutes waiting. Then I got someone who gave me conflicting information. I didn't give up. I did just that and called right back and waited that 15 minutes, got a representative who told me that yes, that the freeze could be lifted with the information I was sending and that she could give me the email address to send this to. This was a different address that the c3@greendotcorp.com. The CSR said that email address was not an email address of theirs. She gave me a whole other email. After being on hold for 30 minutes, she came back to inform me she didn't receive an email from me at the address she gave me and asked if she wanted me to have them call me back.

I laughed and asked for a supervisor. Placed on hold for the 30th time, to reach out for the documents that were sent by me. He verified that the info was received and that the information is sufficient enough and would be sending it to the processing department right away and it will take 1-2 business days for the hold to be released into my account. I really hope that I can be helped in resolving this issue. But, I would boycott any establishment that sells Green Dot prepaid credit cards. I am filing a complaint not only against GD but the bank that funds the money for GD, along with the state's attorney general office. I feel choked around. Please do not support this company.

Green Dot's policy on replacing a card is very impractical considering they have no branches for a client to access their funds. A mistake was made by a specialist who send my new card to the wrong address and two weeks after this was discovered, I was still charged $19.95 to get another replacement rushed. A year ago I declined an offer for another prepaid bank card because the $4.95 monthly fee couldn't be waived but after doing the math, I realized it costed me $18-24 a month to access my funds via out of network ATM machines. I had no choice because many of the ATMs listed on Green Dot's website either don't exist (any longer), were out of order, or I would still get charged a fee for using it. While the bank that doesn't waive the monthly has atms in almost every neighborhood so I never have to pay extra to access my funds. And in case my card is ever lost or stolen or compromised it won't take 3 weeks and $19.95 to replace it. I can just walk into a local branch and do that. And they don't have any over draft fees either. Green Dot would be fine if it had better access to my funds but it doesn't so I'm no longer doing business with them and informing everyone I know personally and online of a better and much more practical option.

I got paid with cash recently and had some online bills I needed paying that were time sensitive. I put 60$ on card and when I got home, I logged on and put in my card number. Hoping to get an easy and clear process, I was greeted with errors on their website. After submitting the correct information only twice the only option they provide was a "refund". They would keep the 5 dollar overhead and I would be sent a check in the mail for the money I put in. I called to have the refund canceled, calling 3 different numbers till I reached a human. I called corporate office just to finally get some help, afterwards was told there was nothing that could be done. So now I'm down 5$ and I was late on some stuff I had to pay. The customer service though was not too bad though overall.

    So to summarize
    Good:

    - Customer Service was decent.

    Bad:
    - Money is handled very badly.
    - Not enough options after an error is made
    - Buggy poorly written website

    - Customer service was hard to reach.

Don't use Greendot to transfer money, or even touch it. It's best to steer clear of this. Many companies are removing greendot from their store shelves and there is good reason why.

Followed steps to dispute/request refund. Got a call back after faxed everything over and was told that refund check will be mailed. Again because we are on the road there's no way we will be home and besides I requested for the refund to be put on the Walmart Card. Rep claimed couldn't be done so had check mailed. 4 weeks still no check. I have been calling their corp customer service # and even though the option to speak with customer service is there only get automated recording then hangs up. Even option to leave message with operator is null and it also hangs up.

I am so furious right now because that money is to be used to pay my OB-GYN and insurance. I find it amazing that this service doesn't give you a way to speak to someone live especially considering how much money they transact with daily. I've resubmitted the dispute with the promise to contact BBB if not resolved by COB Monday.

In the last few days, I purchased a prepaid card. I stopped using credit cards years ago & I never use my debit card over the phone or internet. So I thought the Green Dot Visa (GDV) was the way to go. Well, after purchasing a GDV from a major pharmacy store, I loaded only $20.00 to be safe. Well, I called the toll-free number to register. It immediately asked for my SS#, DOB, street address, etc. I didn't feel good about this process because it was asking for personal information without me speaking to a live person. After I entered all info requested, suddenly the phone system was NOT able to register my card AND it said to call back for live customer service. Oh, I was uncomfortable.

I did the entire process again but this time I spoke to a really weird "customer service rep." He was very androgynous (I couldn't tell if it was a male or female). It had a very robot-like, distorted voice and said its name was either Nico or Nicole (go figure). But I went along with the process because, this rep might have some vocal disability & I did NOT want to be disrespectful. Anyhow, the bottom line was I kept getting asked for my address. All I offered was my P O Box. Nico said he would register my temporary card but I would NOT receive my permanent card (the one with my name on it) until I call back with a residential address. NOT!!!!

So hung up & I immediately went to pay my phone bill at the AT&T kiosk using all of the $20 at once and perhaps having a powerful trace with my receipt as paperwork. My conclusion is that Green Dot is stealing personal information from poor and unsuspecting Americans. I believe "Nico" was a either foreigner or a crooked American disguising his voice. Please take the time read your Cardholder Agreement (especially the Arbitration Notice section) with a yellow highlighter in hand. Green Dot is a "third party" corporation and a bank. The REAL name is: Bonneville Bank, 1675 North Freedom Blvd. (200 West), Provo, UT 84604; Phone (801) 344-7020, Fax (801) 377-1036.

The above legal name and address is NOWHERE in the Cardholder Agreement. However, what is listed is the Corporate headquarters: Green Dot Corporation, 3465 E. Foothill Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91107, 1-866-795-7597. I will cancel this process. Don't want the permanent card either. Too bad I can't get by the privacy of my personal information or know if "Nico" is legit.

I moved my VA widows pension to a Green Dot card so I wouldn't be ripped off and left penniless again.

June first pension went in to Green Dot by direct deposit. I had sent for a permanent card from Green Dot and all I had was the temporary. Without permanent card I could only pay bills that accepted card over the phone or online. I could not withdraw cash to pay for mortgage and Chrysler did not accept Green Dot as a former of payment. I didn't worry cause permanent card was on its way. Several dozen calls later I have received no card. I called a person supposedly at Green Dot corporate and he promised that on July 14 I would receive a permanent card by fed ex. I watched fed ex truck come and go no card so I tried to call Green Dot corporate back and only was able to get electronic message that says on my account refund is being processed and to wait 7-14 days.

They can't issue a replacement card, each customer rep has lied in their broken English over and over. I now probably going to lose my house and car because of their fraudulent way of business. Awesome way to treat a veteran's widow who has to have that pension to get by.

Hi, i am writing you because over the weekend i had to deal with greendot in which they robbed us of 300 dollars from a moneypak reload we bought which is being done by greendot corporation at random to customers by having cards in circulation at retailers, that once the customer buys it at the retailer and pays the cash at the retailer, the customer cannot load the money from the reload pak onto their prepaid card for use. Greendot takes that money electronically because they have the ability to make the reload pak invalid to the consumer then since they have removed any way of being able to talk with a live person through the phone number on the back of the reload card or the card itself. It has become evident to me that they are in this manner running a scam themselves in which they rob thousands of customers at random and leave them in limbo, not able to get there money back (Google greendot class action lawsuits and scams, you will find there are many people being robbed but i can now if given chance to speak with you show you evidence it is greendot behind the scam to fleece millions from people).

Meanwhile they are making illegally millions of dollars by conducting fraud themselves and the fbi as well as other agencies should be investigating them to find out who is really behind greendot or Bancorp, the bank they use, because this is a company that is funneling money. It is acquiring by fraud from its consumers to perhaps support terrorists organizations outside the u.s because greendot is not an American company. It may have a p.o box in CA but they clearly operate overseas. I googled greendot corporate to try to find a way of getting a live person and got the run around all weekend, they operate illegally and have very disturbing capabilities. They were able to somehow, through my phone, snap a picture of me while on the line with them then they hung up. That is capability that would raise red flags to anyone.

I would like to be able to speak with you and discuss in detail the experience have had with them and have you see for yourself. Any lawyers or customers wishing to join together in litigation against greendot to shut this illegal corporation down along with its entities may email me at ** and we can make arrangements to further discuss.

I E-Filed my Federal taxes on April 1 and got on my Green Dot account to get my routing number to give to the IRS for direct deposit. The IRS direct deposited over $3,000.00 on the card only for Green Dot to reject it stating that "as of June 17, 2014, we will not be accepting Tax Refunds because it is not tax season anymore." - this date was NOT stated on my Account page when I located my card information for the IRS - there was no "time limit" as to when I could have my refund deposited on my card. Now they say they are returning it to the IRS. How do I know that? How do I know that someone is not taking it?

I called Customer Service, I chatted with them, and all they would tell me is to "Contact the IRS for information" - the IRS did their job; they deposited it on my card! Customer Service also kept telling me, "I am sorry to hear that" and they refused to give me any reason whatsoever as to why there was a time limit on a government refund, or even as to why the date of June 17, 2014 was NOT displayed on My Account information when retrieving the information that the IRS needed to direct deposit my check.

How can a Debit card company refuse a government deposit just because it's not tax season anymore???? How can I be sure the IRS will actually receive my check back - it's darn near impossible to get in touch with a live person at the IRS as it is. The representatives at Green Dot (there were 2 of them because the first one ended our chat before it was over) only would repeat, "Call the IRS and I am sorry to hear that" - no answers, period. After reading all the complaints about being scammed by this card company, I am afraid my money is gone. I promised to pay bills, including rent, with this refund and now it's impossible.

Got a call at 8:15 am 6/26/14 from 202-751-2498 to my home number, saying IRS Paralegal calling. He gave his name and Badge #. He said that they will put a lien on my residence, freeze my passport and bank accounts due to back taxes owed by me, if taxes are not paid within next two hours. They had me call from my cell phone and asked me to take a car charger with me so my battery will not run out. They kept me on the phone for a total of around 3 hours (threatening I could not hang up or would go to jail) for a long time forcing me to get 14 prepaid Green Dot Money Pack cards $500.00 a piece. I scratched off one and gave them the number. Despite my request that they speak to my accountant they did not want to talk to my accountant based on the reason that I was eventually responsible for my back taxes and they wanted to talk to me only.

I then managed to disconnect them and to call my accountant. He told me this was a scam. I was about to drive to our local police department when I received a phone call registered as OUR local police dept. A person impersonating himself as a local police officer introduced himself and stated that they had just received a fax from the IRS and were going to arrest me if I did not call the 202-area code number above within the next 2 minutes. I was then convinced this was a real call from IRS. So I called them back. The person who answered the call picked up the phone introducing himself from the IRS. He then connected me to the person i was talking to before. In a nutshell I lost 7000.00 in money pack cards first in 2500.00 and then they said i owed more money and made me pay 4500.00. Then they still asked me to pay more, a total of another 7200.00.

They gave me an account number which i could not deposit into and later another where I deposited the 7200.00 as cash. I realized they were scammers, so i went to the police dept. They told me there was never a call from them to me and their number was "spoofed". I managed to get back the 7200.00 from the bank with the police report. The 1st 7000.00 is still missing and the office stated he contacted the Green Dot Money Pack card company and is working on it. This is an urgent issue that demands attention. There were reports on NBC news on the same day that this has been done in different areas around Chicago and people have been scammed from IRS impersonators as well as other municipality fake authorities.

I was a victim of a scam and Green Dot money pack just happens to be an easy way for these people to operate. I was caught off guard or I would have never fallen for this scam anyhow. The details are: I received a call from someone who I thought was my utility company telling me that my account was past due and that we were going to be shut off in the next 45 min. if a payment wasn't made. My account was past due, lucky them, and I was in the middle of a stressful work day. I said that I would log in and pay ASAP. They told me that a web payment would take 6 hours to clear and a cash payment was necessary if I wanted to keep the power on. They said I could take a cash payment to a pay station so I asked if there were any near my workplace.

I gave them the zip code and was told no, then he asked if there were any Fred Meyer or 7/11 stores near me and that those store had pay areas available. So, I ran out, pulled cash out of our account and proceeded to the store. They called me back as I was on my way. Once I got there he directed me to the gift card area. (I should have started to catch on there but I didn't!) He then told me about Green Dot and said that these cards can be used to pay all kinds of utilities and other things and they work just like cash. Great, so I purchased the card. He then said he'd start filling out info on my account and would call me back in 10 minutes for the number on the back. When he called, I gave it to him. Still not catching on. He said, "Thank you. I'll call you back once the payment goes through and give you a confirmation number."

Well, the call never came, so I called him back. He said, "Yes, I've been trying to contact you..." Then told me that I still needed to pay $250. I flipped out and asked why. He said it had to do with late fees and service charges. I then finally realized just what had happened. I flipped the ** out, he hung up on me. I called the direct line to my utility company and they confirmed that I had been scammed so I called the cops. No one seemed to be able to do anything about it. So, I tried to get a hold of Green Dot. Their phone number got me nowhere, no way to get through to a person. Their website doesn't make it clear either unless you go to Moneypack.com, Greendot.com is not worth even trying.

So, I was able to file a complaint through email. They replied asking me to send a photo of the front and back of the card and my receipt as well as my contact info. After a few days, they finally got back to me and basically said that I was S.O.L. and I should go to my local law enforcement agency, which I have already tried and they also said that they had no way of tracking any of this down. So yeah, I'm out the money and Green Dot doesn't seem to care one bit. I'd actually prefer if Green Dot took it back from the scammer and kept it over letting that ** get but really, screw Green dot too. Never use this thing if you can avoid it!

So after a great deal of searching to find the number I finally speak with a representative who told me the money was already withdrawn at 2:35 which was not even 5 mins after I bought the card. They told me to take photos of my receipt, my moneypak card and my green dot card. I did so and emailed it to customer support. They then gave me the run around for 2 WEEKS thereafter only to tell me there was nothing they could do. They said they seen where it went but could not retrieve it back from the card so they closed the case. REALLY?? NEVER AGAIN!

I have had my Green Dot card for about 6 years. I have had my paycheck direct deposited to it and it was really convenient... until today. I went to use my card for gas, knowing that I had money on it and it was declined. I called customer service. The recording said that they have closed my account and that I would not only no longer to be able to use that card but never be able to own a green dot card again. After attempting to speak to an actual person several times over the course of an hour, I finally reached a customer service specialist that told me that my account was closed due to suspicious activity because of the amount of money pack reloads that were made to my card. That they had the right to close any account that they felt was being use in a matter other than for which it was designed for.

Isn't that what a prepaid card is designed for? To add money to it and then use it. She would not give me any further information and just continued to "read" the same exact verbiage over and over. I explained that I had no notice that I was doing anything "wrong" and what was I supposed to do now that my paycheck was scheduled to be deposited to that card tonight. She said that the funds would reject back to my employer in 3 to 5 business days! Who can wait that long to receive their paycheck that they are expecting to receive that night. When I told her that what they have done is wrong and that they should not have the right to mess with people money or livelihood like this, she told me that she was sorry I felt that way and that "it is what it is" and then continued to repeat the verbiage that she had regurgitate the entire course of the phone call.

When I told her that I wanted to speak with a supervisor she said that a supervisor could not help me or tell me anything different that she already has told me. I told her I wanted my call escalated and she said that I would receive a call back within 24 to 48 hours! That is unacceptable customer service! So here I am, all my money tied up in a closed account and going to be able to receive my paycheck - to pay my bills for another week (maybe). All because of the manner in which I added money to my card (via Direct Deposit and money paks) was not in a manner in which the card was intended? How is that? They made $3.95 off each money pak that was purchased and they waive the monthly fee to the card if you deposit $1,000 per month to the card. Just bad business all the way around. Maybe it wouldn't have been as detrimental if I had some kind of notice that I was doing something "wrong" instead of putting me in dire financial straights. Just bad business all the way around!!

Please be informed that this company is horrible. They can freeze your money at any time and hold out for about a month before you get it back. They have an solid rating with the Better Business Bureau which means that in some kinda crazy way this is legal. People please report them so we can knock their rating down. They are scamming people everyday, holding on to your hard earned money for as long as they want, giving us the runaround on the phone, so called supervisors that don't know anything. The CEO of this company makes major money and steals yours. Please take heed, don't buy these cards. American Express makes a better one. Boycott trying Green Dot. They are making money off of stealing ours and they know we will pay more in legal fees to get the money back that they took, but your money is your money. Don't buy these cards. Take a stand. If everyone that has been scammed calls the BBB hopefully we can knock down their rating.

Hello there all. I hope everyone takes what I am about to write very serious. I was also a victim of Green Dot. They closed my account and never gave me a reason. I had $200 in there. I finally got through to someone and was told they closed my account because I live in an apartment complex. They said "If too many people have the same address associated with Green Dot, then they can choose to close some accounts." And they called this suspicious activity for using the same address. In other words, if you live in an apartment complex, which uses the same address obviously (minus the unit number), then you are subject to being closed. And can never do business with them.

So this company basically uses our in the most ILLEGAL WAY I HAVE SEEN. They sell the Green Dot cards ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY BUILDING. I can take a picture and show you now. So they sell Green Dot cards next to apartments. To make it worse, it's the only prepaid option available to buy (at walgreens). Now they allow us to deposit money (like my 200). Then when I try to use my money they stop it and tell me for suspicious activity and even worse I have to wait to receive my funds. That allows them time to use my money. Can you imagine that in one day if they do this to 1000 people. That's $200,000 they get to use.

And THE REASON WHY YOU WAIT TWO WEEKS TO RECEIVE YOUR FUNDS is because they are paying YOUR FUND BACK TO YOU ONCE THEY CLOSE ANOTHER PERSONS ACCOUNT FOR SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. THE ICING ON THE CAKE is that they don't let you open an account with them again. And I did nothing. This is the best way they cannot REPEAT THIS EVIL to the same person. How can this be legal????? This is EXACTLY WHATS GOING ON. If anyone wants to challenge this who works at GREEN DOT, please respond to this message, and I will HAPPILY TALK TO SOMEONE IN CORPORATE about the scam that is going on.

GREEN DOT IS NOT A PREPAID CARD. It's a company designed to hold your money, close your account and pay you with other people's money once they close their accounts. They use the money in the midst of all of these transactions. And of course they don't do this to some of their customers in order to cover up this scam. I repeat, Green Dot is not a prepaid card company. How are they still operating?

He did purchase a card and gave it to me for what I had, I registered the card and was fine. I used it at a store that has many depts., Coffee shop, sub shop Pharmacy, and checked out at the supermarket then forgot milk then I used it for that. 5 or 6 purchases in one store in one day. Then I went to use it at an auto parts store 2 days later and a decline showed up. I knew I had the funds on the card so I called. They said yes I have the funds on the card to cover it but they put a hold on the account and I must fax a copy of my DL and SSN card and they would review my account in 10 days.

By this time I was hot under the collar. I tried to resolve the Issue on my account online and called 2 more times, same thing. I said close my account and send me my money. They said they will review it in 10 days and might send me my money. I said that is a prepaid card and that's my money not yours or Green Dots. Don't buy or use Green Dot cards. I just Bought a Green Dot Card, one of many that I have bought throughout the years except to find out yesterday they put a block on my card for which I needed the money for my health, my prescriptions. I do not have access to any of my funds. When I ask them why????? why the block/decline, I can't get a straight answer out of them. They keep giving me the run around. I kept calling them and calling them looking for answers. First they told me security then they told me incorrect information. They are lying. They are thieves. They told me to find a fax machine somewhere then fax them over my Social Security number and License??? Is this even Legal? I needed the prescriptions so badly I did it. I know what your thinking...Is she crazy??!!! Not only did I do it...but I did it "5" times. They kept telling me they didn't receive the fax? The fax that I had to drive to and pay money out of my pocket?? I have proof of all faxes dates and times and pictures.

The very end of my breaking point I was so upset they told me, "ok now, email the social security number and license to us." Again like a fool I did it (sighs). I was crying, begging them to put the money back on the card that "I" paid for 200.00 dollars - to be honest 180.00 because I spent 20.00 off it before they started declining it. Something in my gut tells me after reading all of your comments, I mean Hundreds of you going through this that they are hoping we won't do anything about it. Please don't give up people. I know how hard it may be but please fight for what is yours. I just got off the phone with them. They called my house to tell me now they are sending a refund check?? I said, "What, how's is it your sending me a refund check in 7 to 10 days when I have a card that I paid for and activated... I paid the fees"???? I feel so so violated. This is just an awful feeling. I think they're a scam. Please do not buy. I'm just a young woman not rich but a normal citizen who believes in people and doing the right thing. Green Dot scammed me... I don't know why but Green Dot allegedly performed a review of my transactions and close my Green Dot account. They didn't send me an email. I haven't received any notifications via SMS and have gotten no warning: from them not to buy a reload pack. They said due to a review of your transactions your card has been closed furthermore you will not be able to open another card with us. The only transaction I have ever had instead of telling this new card to pay for my storage online. I just went to Safeway tonight and spent $110 on a $105 reload in the form of a money pack. When I tried to reload my card, I got this message upon calling customer service. I now have to wait a week after submitting a request for a refund check.

To my knowledge there is no way to speak to a live representative as everything is automated. And when you go to their website, it refers you to the automated telephone number by the way there's three or four of them but they all do the same thing. I don't know what else to do. I even checked my other prepaid cards to see if maybe I was the victim of a scam or something. Thankfully my other cards still work. This used to be a great company. What the hell happened? I strongly advise against obtaining a Green Dot card for this reason I bought the card. I use the card to pay for my storage online and suddenly after one transaction my card is closed. I bought a reload pack without warning that I could not use it and basically 105 dollars of my money is in the account pending refund. Shame on you Green Dot. I actually would have given this minus 5 stars if I could.

On April 30 and again on May 4, 2014, I filed two on-line complaints on the www.moneypak.com website regarding the April 30, 2014, phone scam and fraud by extortion, which I have been the victim of, and which involved prepaid cards purchased at Rite Aid and CVS stores. The MoneyPak online statement was that a reply will be sent to me in two business days. As of May 29, 2014, I have received no answer (except a phone message on 5/27/2014 following my fraud dispute with CVS). I sent them the fraud dispute by fax.

So I initiated this fraud dispute in writing by sending them the details showing the crucial role and responsibility of Green Dot MoneyPak by not providing critical information about the prepaid cards at the purchase moment. IRS impersonators extorted a total of $3,739.60 ($1,214.85 at Rite Aid and $2,524.75 at CVS) from me by deceivingly directing me to purchase eight green dot MoneyPak cards, three from Rite Aid and five from CVS. MoneyPak card contains a severely misleading lack of information for the client, which significantly facilitated this fraud scheme.

The fraud case is now under investigation by the San Diego Police Department and Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. Green Dot MoneyPak cannot hide behind fine print on the back of the prepaid cards. None of the fine print statements on the back of the card offers clients protection against the scam fraud scheme which I have been the victim of, because:

    1. On the card there is no warning statement, such as Don’t use the MoneyPak to pay taxes or fees, or No government agency accepts the payment by MoneyPak cards, if you want to pay taxes/fees.

    2. The fake IRS officer is no longer an unknown person once he/she gives his/her name, badge number, phone number, and address and asks you to pay a tax penalty.

    3. The on-line list mentioned in the fine print on the card must be provided at the moment of purchase, not after that. This list is critical information and must be provided at the moment of purchase. The client eventually may discover this information only by later going to the indicated website, when a possible fraud might have already taken place and no transaction can be cancelled.

    4. To aggravate the situation, Green Dot MoneyPak does not even allow a pending transaction time of 12 to 24 hours to give the buyer the possibility to cancel the money transfer. The cancellation could be done by using the information printed on the receipt (store and transaction numbers, register/cashier number, date and hour, etc.), all of which are certainly recorded in the Green Dot MoneyPak computer system at the moment of the card activation. I checked immediately after realizing the fraud and all the eight cards had $0.00 balance. The Green Dot MoneyPak computer system does have all the information about the fraudulent transaction: IP address from where it has been initiated, date and exact time, card numbers, sum of money transferred, and to whom.

Green Dot MoneyPak, as the producer of the cards, has the responsibility to inform fully and correctly the client about the specifications of the prepaid card.

Eventually today I was able to talk to a representative of Green Dot MoneyPak. He declined any responsibility of the company and explicitly told me that I will get no reimbursement for the lost money. He also said that I will get no reply in writing from them. I will also file complaints with FTC, SEC, and BBB.

My son and I have each used Green Dot for about 4 years with very good customer service. On May 2nd, I asked the bill payer service to send a check for my rent. My landlord did not receive it. On 5/8, I spoke with a GD operator who told me he was stopping payment on the check, starting an investigation, and issuing a new check which would be in the hands of my landlord by 5/13. After numerous calls to many supervisors and hours on hold, I found on 5/22 that the stop payment had never been completed, and I would have to wait "5-7 business days" to have the money returned to my card. It returned in the evening of 5/28. I incurred late charges which were not covered by Green Dot. Then I wanted to send my son money on a Moneypak for dental work. I went to numerous 7-11's and Walmarts and was told the same thing - all Moneypak cards had been recalled due to an error, and were not replaced.

Two weeks ago, my son's Green Dot card was flagged as compromised, and a hold placed on it. He was unable to buy groceries or medications. He was told he would receive a new card in "7-10 business days". This is day 10. He called and was told the replacement card had not even been ordered, and now he would not even receive it until 6/19. He is physically disabled from birth. His government benefits have been applied to his card, but he has no card to use. His rent is due - there will be a late charge. His phone bill is due - it will be turned off. He has 2 days of medication left. Green Dot has his money and he cannot access it. This is criminal!!

I had security concerns about the card number that I have had for 4 years. Since you can't do a charge-back with Green Dot, I have to protect myself. Besides, it is almost time to renew, I was thinking of going with AmEx prepaid, as their fees aren't as ridiculous as Green Dot's. I told the rep, 'James' that If they would change my number and email me the new number today, I would agree to stay. James said, "Oh, yes, Ms. **, we will send you the number to your email today." I told him that this is my June money, so getting that number is important. "Oh, don't worry, Ms. **, it will be to your email today." It is the end of the business day and no number.

After speaking with 4 reps, I was told that I have to wait 7 days for the card to arrive. Until then, I have no money. That is unacceptable. This company relies on high tech, when all of a sudden, NO ONE can give me my new number except the USPS. I don't believe them. I now have to wait for 2 days for Corporate to contact me. They put down on the support ticket that my complaint was that I never received my card. I never said that. I don't care about the plastic. Not one of them would fix that. I know that support is outsourced (I don't like that), but the poster who stated that they read from 'prepared responses' is right. I picked up on their similar stilted speech patterns, but couldn't put my finger on what it was at the time. I have had little contact with support before this. Reminds me of TracFone support, who I am no longer with.

Thanks, James. You thought you were keeping a customer by lying to me. Quite the contrary, I now have to borrow money to buy food and Green Dot lost a total of four customers... me and three family members so far… and I've only just begun to tell my story. Green Dot is refusing to comply with a probate court order and insists on keeping my deceased mother's social security money. My mom passed away two years ago with a little over $400 left on her card. Green Dot eventually sent me a check for the money in my mom's name after I provided them with all the documentation they asked for; death certificate, power of attorney, cremation receipts, etc. Social Security told me that I'm entitled to the full amount of my mom's left over social security money. No one else has contacted Green Dot or is interested in my mom's leftover Social Security money.

The problem is that in order to cash my mom's check, I had to of course get an order from probate court to take to the bank. By the time probate gave me the order, the check had expired. My husband and I have spent an enormous amount of time trying to get Green Dot to give us an address as the bank told us to do, where we can return the expired check, so that Green Dot can reissue me an up-to-date check. It is near impossible to contact anyone at Green Dot by phone or email and when we do get someone, they are unable to speak English and do not listen to this VERY simple request. Rather they just read a list of prepared responses from a form that is not relevant to our problem.

The amount of time we have spent trying to resolve this, has cost far us far more than the check is worth, but I will not allow them to keep my mother's money. I wanted to give it to my nephew for his graduation next week and tell him it is from his grandmother as she would have wanted. Green Dot told us today that there is absolutely nothing they can do to release the money to us or anyone else. They said they have a record of my mom, but no record of her having any money on her account and not even a record of them sending me a check in the first place. They are insisting on keeping my mom's social security money that probate has declared I'm entitled to. So now, I'm asking attorney friends to tell me what to do next since they have made it very clear they plan to keep our money permanently and I plan to contact my state's (SC) attorney general office and Better Business Bureau.

Got a call at 10am 5/6/14, saying IRS Detective calling. He gave his name and Badge #. He said that he is issuing an arrest warrant over the phone due to back taxes owed by us. If taxes are not paid within next two hours, IRS detectives will be at our house door step to arrest. The person calling had the correct names and address with them and as also the home telephone number. My wife who was alone at home, got scared and succumbed to the request. She was forced to go to a Rite Aid store and get $3287 dollars worth of Greendot.com cash cards (total of 8 cards). She was then asked to scratch the back of the cards and give the numbers from them immediately, which she did under threat. Once they got the numbers, they said they have received the money and confirmed the receipt of the money over the phone.

The officer then told her that she was a good citizen of USA and was very co-operative, then consoled her not to worry and then said that the arrest warrant has been cancelled and gave her a arrest warrant cancellation number. My wife also was told by the callers that if anyone else calls with a similar arrest warrant from IRS, give them the cancellation number, then they won't bother her. Throughout this episode they kept my wife on her cell phone for 45 minutes under serious threat. When she was released by the scammers from the phone conversation, she called me. I told her she was scammed. I got all details from her and try to get hold of Greendot.com HELP to see whether I can do a stop payment.

To my surprise I found that you will not be able to talk to anyone over the phone at Greendot.com. I filed an e-mail complaint with Greendot.com. They responded promptly then said they have opened a fraud case. Then sent another e-mail, saying that they can't do anything because we gave the card numbers to the receiving party and the money is history and gone. Then they sent another e-mail saying I should open up a police report to investigate with Greendot.com, as a scam/fraud case. I have done the police report also. I do not expect any money back, but I expect a company like Greendot.com to be a better citizen and protect their customers, who make them rich as a company in their business.

My experience to get anything through by contacting anyone to talk to in Greendot.com was so disappointing and in vain. Someone in Better Business Bureau or US Treasury or Finance Department with the right level of authority needs to take action with Greendot.com to prevent these type of fraud situations to be drastically minimized for our citizens and protect their hard earned money. I will be the first one to give negative rating and bad publicity to my friends and say not to deal with Greendot.com money cards from now on.

I also understand that scammers from all over the world use Greendot.com money card most of the time to scam innocent people. Serious actions needs to be taken with Greendot.com to address the matter to bring in some safety check and balance to do a trust worthy money transaction through their purchased money cards and to continue as a well trusted business entity in the USA market place of business. Greendot.com, the way you run your business with no protection, you get a big FAIL grade. ACTION SERIOUSLY NEED to handle SCAMMERS doing business through Greendot.com money cards. Thanks.

My son had been scammed by someone on Craigslist, using a Green Dot money card. As soon as we figured out he was scammed we contacted the sheriffs dept and tried contacting Green Dot. At first we were told they could track it and possibly track it. That was the last positive thing we heard. After this Green Dot told the sheriff’s dept that we needed to file fraud case, which we did. Had to email copies of the Green Dot card and copy of the receipt. Then received an email saying they were working on it. Another telling us we needed to email this information to another dept. which we did.

After 2 weeks I had another email telling me the local police would be able to help me. There was nothing they could do. Case was now closed. This is **. Anything done electronically is trackable. Green Dot is helping the people that are committing the fraud get away with this. They are unwilling to help and this is wrong. So are we suppose to chalk this up to a lesson? Would anyone else?

I have been double charged by Green Dot for both an ATM balance inquiry and an item purchased through Amazon. The thing is, one ATM charge and charge for item are on one day and the duplicate set is on the following day. On the days in question, the first day all I did was a balance inquiry. The next day I purchased the item. What I cannot seem to figure out is HOW they charged me for the item the day BEFORE I even thought of purchasing it and why they charged me for a balance inquiry on the next day when I certainly did not do another balance inquiry.

Amazon does not reflect me purchasing on the questionable date, either. Where it says location, if you look at the details of your purchase after signing in to your online account, there is only an 866 number on the duplicate item charge and on the ATM it says -81, 18- for a location. Most probably because these charges are FRAUDULENT and they had to make up something to go in there. I could call and ask what the numbers mean, but judging by what I have read, they may want a blood sample and a retina scan from me to even speak with someone (sarcasm) or at least my firstborn.

After reading some of the comments on here, I am AFRAID to contact customer service. As far as I know, I can still access the remaining funds on the card and I do not want them to decide differently until I have spent the balance. I have to wonder after reading everything that everyone has posted, if ANYONE ever got their money back? I think it would be a good idea to start an online petition on one of the popular sites to try and force an investigation into the terribly shady business practices that this particular company employs. It is truly heart breaking to see how many of us there are and how some lost everything because of them. Regardless of whether you are financially stable or struggle every day to make it, this is an outrage! Time to shut them down.

I bought several (small money) apps for my new phone from the Google Playstore using my Green Dot prepaid mastercard. Green Dot Bank froze my card as a "risk" for buying the various items in the same day, and from the same location; and are saying that I have to wait 10 business days to request a refund on my account balance, then at that time within another 10 days they will refund my money in the form of a check. A "risk" to whom exactly?

This is a prepaid card, which they have no possibility of "losing" anything on. Green Dot customer service verified my identity and after that gave me the information that they were blocking my money for 20 days or more. They stated that it was an automatic system block and that there was nothing they could do for me, adding that I would no longer be able to use one of their cards ever again. This after having the card approx 4 years with no issues other than no ability to check my account online in spite of numerous calls for assistance with that issue. This leaves me with no money to live off of since my direct deposit went to that card and payday was today.

I still could not use the card and when I called Green Dot to ask if I could just get my money back since I couldn't use the card, they said I would have to send them a copy of my driver's license and social security card for them to review for 10 days before they decided if they would give me my money back. I refused to do that and asked to speak to a supervisor which I was told there was not one. They said they had to know for sure it was me before they could refund the money because of suspicious activity on my card. I asked them how that happened as there has been NO activity on my card other than the original loading of the amount.

Purchased MoneyPak card at CVS, due to a scam I was a victim of; which I reported to local police. Police instructed me not to contact party that called me. In scratching off the covering over the back of card, to display the card numbers, I completely scratched off 2 of the numbers, rendering it unusable. I then spoke with CVS, on getting my money back $429.00. They told me they do not offer refunds. Had to contact Green Dot directly, which I did April 7. Filed a complaint over telephone twice, then online twice. The last complaint was closed because they did not receive copies of receipt and card they requested. I spent $6.00 to fax this to them, got a confirmation, but they have no record.

Customer service called me, to tell me they could not help me; they closed the last complaint; and to transfer me to another department. The customer service representatives are from the Philippines. They have very strong accents, difficult to and poorly trained; was given wrong information twice. The rep gave me the full card number of the card I purchased; then told me the money had been put on another card. Of course, I do not have that new number. I accused GreenDot as having stole my money. He proceeded to tell me they did not and that I was a liar.

I am bound and determined to sue these people, and make sure the media hears about how unscrupulous they are in dealing with their customers. I am an 84-year-old woman; the money was given in good faith to CVS for a Moneypak card, which I received, but then immediately unable to use. I was being victimized by some Jamaican person, which I reported to the police. Now Green Dot has moved my monies from one card to another, which I have no access to. I've followed their complaint process now 4 times, with absolutely no satisfaction. I have reported this company to California's Attorney's General Office, the Better Business Bureau and am in the process of contacting news stations. It is absolutely abominable companies are licensed, allowed to operate within the general public, when there have been so many complaints filed against them.

I plan to pursue this complaint until my monies are refunded. I will do my part of spreading the news of this company's bad faith business practices; some may call this money laundering. Especially, since this company has had so many reported scams associated with their MoneyPak card, one has to wonder about the legitimacy of the company.

I use several GreenDot cards for my over the road drivers (fuel, repairs, etc.) approx. $600/week year round. For the third time, this 2014 (4 months) I buy the MoneyPak reload card at Walgreens and/or Walmart (which has to be cash) and when I try to load the funds, I get an error message after entering the MoneyPak number. Retried several minutes later and now it says the MoneyPak number is invalid as it has already been used/loaded. Needless to say, the funds don't show on my balance. I initiate a dispute and immediately get a request for a ton of info images of the MoneyPak front and back, copy of the receipt from Walgreens, store number, location and several other very specific details. I keep records so I send it over via email as requested.

Three days later, I get another request for the same info (copies of stuff and specific details); I resend it. 4 days later, I get a new email saying, "In order to process the request I need to send" AGAIN the info I have already provided, BUT this time must be faxed. I write back saying I don't have a fax and their response is: this is their policy and if I can't fax it, they cannot process my dispute. Here is what is very clear to me and anyone reading this. If by chance you don't have the receipt or can't read it, no longer have the MoneyPak card, know the store number and a myriad of specifics, they will deny your dispute. When you do have everything they request, they will try everything in their power to negate the claim on technicality.

Sounds like an insurance company who keep dedicated staff to negate claims hoping you will walk away. In my case, it's $400 and I will keep at it, but this is the last time I use GreenDot or MoneyPak products. I hope you get the message: one or 5 complaints are the norm with any product/company. When you have a multi-page list of complaints, you can assume they have some merit.

The first part of what happened wasn't Green Dot's fault - also, until this happened I was a very happy customer with Green Dot and often suggested others try it as an alternative to using their credit cards. Recently I rented a car while out of town to visit family and used my Green Dot card; the car rental company, in error, doubled charged my card. Once I was home, I realized the mistake and called customer service at Green Dot. They explained their policy on double charges was to hold the money for sixty days. When I asked if there was an alternative to this policy I was assured that if I did a couple of things, the hold would be removed within the next two business days.

They asked me to contact the car rental company (which I immediately did), and have them send a fax to Green Dot, confirming that the double charge was in error. This fax was to include a transaction number Green Dot had provided, along with their car company's logo displayed on the fax. All of this was done. I waited a week and was dismayed when I saw the negative balance on my card was still there (I've had a negative balance on the card for more than two months because of this hold on the double charge). This was a double charge for about $500. So I called customer service and was told the double charge would not be removed until the 60 days was up no matter what anyone else had previously advised me.

Today I checked, my account still shows a negative balance even though 60 days has passed. So, again I called and was told that the hold would be removed tomorrow, even though it's been 60 days. Green Dot has been holding my money, my cash - for more than 60 days. To tell a customer, "We can fix this ($500) double charge," and then tell that customer, "No - someone told you a story so you will have to wait" - well I don't want to do business with a company that treats a customer that way. The good news, I don't have to. As soon as I can remove the cash they've been holding, I am closing the account and will not do business with Green Dot again. I will also make sure I alert anyone who asks me - to do the same.

I filled out a dispute form, had to pay to fax it to them (All other Visa & MasterCard Providers use the industry standard Method With Recorded Sworn Statement). My computer was infected with a program, an email was created without my knowledge and my card compromised. I called each merchant to find out how and why I'M BEING CHARGED! I had no knowledge of the email used, no password so it was hard, I could verify my old card info. These web sites using the same webpage formats customer service with different phone number were sex sites in located in Russia.

Wal-Mart supports this denial just by allowing a company likes of GE Capital and Green Dot to manage their money machine. I had to pay $3.00 to dispute and $20.00 to get a new card. Green Dot Customer service said they contacted each rogue merchant and decided that I'm wrong and the merchants are right that I made the charges. They didn't even have my correct IP or SNID address. How Green Dot would accept this is questionable. They probably back charged and recovered my money and pocketed my funds!!! I even pointed out the FBI has warnings about the companies who obtained my information were not ligate.

Why in the hell does Wal-Mart management find this as acceptable of screwing customers? I know most customers cannot gain a checking account. I use the service because I used to get decent fuel discounts (I get better discounts at Kroger and I save more on about 75% of our household needs) and to manage my allowances, but in all due respect Wal-Mart wants to promote money generating shady services provided by GE Capital and Green Dot as good profitable business model!!!

And Green Dot, I will in the midst of getting my money, share that CHASE LIQUID is not only good, you can actually go to the bank and withdraw money, you can deposit cash at the atm and there are no hidden fees. The monthly charge for CHASE is 5 bucks. For Green Dot's so called free stuff - you get hit with so many hidden charges that you end up paying around 20 - 30 bucks for a Poor Man's Customer Service.

So I say all of this to say, some of us get in such a financial bind that it requires us to use prepay cards. This is not about judging why you need the service. But letting you know that there are better services out there that do not PREY on your need to have ability to use a visa/mastercard or alternative banking. Don't let them fool you. Just wanted you guys to know. And no - I do not work for CHASE. I was trying to transfer money to my parent's account using my funky Green Dot card while I was at the chase bank and it didn't work. So I opened up the CHASE LIQUID (an alternative banking solution).

I received the 1st part of my tax return on my Green Dot card without a problem, the 2nd part was entered into my account, and when I tried to get it, I was informed that my card had already expired. No 1 from Green Dot had informed me of this nor did they send me a new card before it was to expire, so now I have to wait 3 days for Green Dot to send it back to the IRS, then wait for the IRS to send it to me in the mail which will take up to 3 weeks, not to mention that I still have funds left on that card. I asked if they could just transfer it to my other Green Dot card but they wouldn't, they're gonna send it to me in a check, keep in mind that the whole purpose for using Green Dot was so that I wouldn't have to go to the bank. Green Dot card is in the way it's supposed to be convenient but it conveniently screws you.

Amazon confirmed the cancelled order on 3/1/2014 and 12 days later, Green Dot claims the order (pre-authorization) is pending. They are holding my funds and benefiting from any and all interest which may accrue at my expense.

I had called because my card was expired and would not pay my bills. I wanted to know when my new card would get here. I was told at that time my account had been put on hold why I don't know. I got them to release the hold on my account, but was told at that time I would no longer be able to add any further money to my account. I could not go purchase a new card and use that so I could continue paying paying bills and doing business w/ green dot.

I was told they would not open a new account for me. I could no longer use green dot period! They said because of unusual account activity which was a mistake I had made, I accidentally tried to withdraw more than they allowed at one time. An oops I had made, which I told them was a mistake I had made. Bottom line, I was told the decision was final and that was the end of it they would no longer do business with me period.

I am shocked at their decision taking into consideration. I had been a customer for 2 years. I just don't get it! I always thought a long term customer was something of value to a company, evidently not to Green dot. They threw me out like yesterdays trash. My head is still spinning with disbelief.

I have been going back and forth with them for days now, still no resolution. There is a remaining balance of over 7,000$ on this card. I think they are a scam. It's hurtful and unfair that this company is still in business and still basically stealing people's hard earn money. If all of us can come together about this situation we can get our money back, they are not allowed to keep these type of fund of any kind. We can do a class act lawsuit against them. Please people let's stick together so that we can get our funds back. Feel free to email me at ** so we can start up a petition against this company please and thank you.

Last week, I disputed an unauthorized transaction and closed the debit cards associated w/ my account. Customer service informed me that it would take 10-14 business days to receive a new card and although I would not have access to my account or any money, they cannot expedite delivery of the card. In the meantime, I'm left without any money or access to deposited monies from paychecks, tax refund, etc. I've had to borrow money for food, gas, etc and this have been extremely overwhelming. I discourage anyone from using their services. As soon as I receive the new cards and can activate them, I'm going to transfer to a reputable bank.

I had my taxes put on my sister in-law's Green Dot card because I didn't have a bank acct. and she didn't use the card. Well, the money was loaded on schedule. I used the card 1 time, went to use it later that day and it was declined. We called and they said it was froze because my taxes was put on someone else's card so they ask us to send them a copy of our license and social security card which I understand about identity theft right now so I did so. No big deal. Well now it is day 14 and they are still dancing around unlocking the card that has 6,000 dollars on it and to try to help, I even faxed them some other material plus my FINGERPRINTS to verify my identity and they tell me that it can take 5 more days. My bills are due. I'm just a working class person and anyone who is the same knows how people depend on and pre-plan for their income tax money. I don't know what to do. It is scary when someone can take money that belongs to you and just take it all with the click of a button and it seems there is nothing you can do about it.

I bought two greendot prepaid cards on February 24, 2014. When I got home with them to upload to paypal account, they were showing $0.00 balance. I called customer service and they told me the funds have been used. I emailed the receipts and front of back shots of both cards. They have people working in customer service that you can barely understand. They have failed to get my money returned or any type of resolution to the problem. I am a single mom of four kids, which three are special needs, Autism and ADHD. I can't afford to lose this money. One card was for $500.00 and the other was for $350.00 total of $850.00. I just want my money back and be done with them forever, will never purchase another card from them!

After getting a balance notification that my tax refund was on my card, I went to work and used my card at Wendy's for lunch. I went back to work and at the end of my shift, I tried to get gas and my transaction was declined... 3 times I tried. Once I got home and called the customers services #, they told me that they froze my tax return for suspicious activity and to fax my Driver's License and SSN to verify me. I did as instructed and was told they will take 10 days. This is unacceptable! But no one can help me!

On 2/20, IRS deposited 689.00 into my Green Dot account. On 2/26 had balance of 219.00, okay Account is blocked. I called the 800 number 1st time, could not even understand the person who I was talking to. Called back, I was told I needed to send a copy of my social security card and driver's license to a fax number and it would take 10 business days to be investigated. I asked, "What investigated?", they said my identity. I asked for a name to send this info to. They don't have one, just kept saying, "Don't worry your info is safe with us." I have had this card for a long time and now they question my identity.

Every place you look it says DO NOT SEND your info to someone not sure of and the only way I can maybe now get my money is to send this and someone I have no idea who they are says don't worry it's safe. I am a single mom and maybe it doesn't sound like a lot but that 219.00 was for car insurance and registration which is due by tomorrow. I now can't pay this while they are holding my money. The IRS really needs to know they are taking people's tax refunds and keeping part of it. It seems to be their practice of doing this but they don't seem to be advertising this when they say, "Have your tax refund deposited with us." What are my options here? I really don't know.

I just believe Green Dot is linked up with the scammers that ask for you to buy them. When you contact Green Dot to complain or dispute their estimated wait times are definitely off. When the wait time is 20 minutes it actually is an hour and when you finally do contact someone they have broken English and tell you basically you are assed out on any type of resolution.

I got my income tax refund direct deposited on the green dot card. I opened an account and choose to because their advertisement said "you can get your refund up to two days faster." Well I received a text letting me know "good news your refund of 5,500 has been deposited. Your card is ready for use." Well within an hour my card had a block on it and I can't use my funds. It's been 5 days... I faxed them everything they said they needed and then some.. My account still has a block on it. They said they need to verify that I'm the cardholder before they can lift the block and I can use my money. I'm so far behind in my bills, I have 4 beautiful children and I'm scraping up money to get stuff for our house. My family has been looking forward to us getting a car. It sucks walking everywhere and taking the bus. I am praying the block gets lifted soon....

Tried to validate greendot.com money card. Headed it to clerk in the store thinking it was as simple as other money card gifts I had received. Spent twenty minutes trying to register it via Green Dot. Was asked all of my personal information, social security numbers, birth date, phone, address email accounts. Angry and pressured by people in line, I submitted it but changed a few things like SS and address, etc. I then completed it and was told to log in. It said, "Account cannot be activated invalid information." How could they know this? Tried twice and then called their number.

I have been using MoneyPak to load my Mango card for a few months now, all of sudden it says they refuse to load due to suspicious activity. I too spoke with someone I know for darn sure wasn't on this side of the pond who transferred me to their automated service to load which gave me the same message. If this was my last dollar I put on here to pay a bill it would be cause for a negative visit from me to the MoneyPak offices. Maybe I will contact the news and get it broadcast everywhere what a scam this is. In addition I thought companies could not knowingly take money and not provide the intended service. I hope this ends up with the Attorney General as these people need to be stopped ASAP, and I hope whoever has their job on the other side of the pond loses it! What is customer service if I speak ENGLISH and the rep CANNOT!!!
