I love Green Dot. The fees are a little much and sometimes hard to refill. Direct deposit makes things easier. But when I have a check it takes too long to be available. It is a great alternative to a traditional bank. I have used the Green Dot for over 5 years.

There's too many fees. I can't wait until I close this account. I hate Green Dot. Worst experience of my life. I would say thank you but for what. It's a fee for everything. Maybe you need to invest in a real bank. Don't even have a real ATM without it taking fees from your card. Basically it made me broker than what I already was.

I really enjoy the card, however one of the main reasons that I wanted the card was to receive my pay early and as of yet that has not happened. My text alerts behind with my available balance, otherwise it is a very secure card. Thanks Steve Harvey.

I am pretty satisfied with your service. The speed in which it works is good. However I feel the charges to reload the card coupled with the monthly fee are a little too high. Other than that, good overall. But I feel 4.95 to reload, which I do several times a month plus the 7.95 a month is a little much. Thanks.

I just can't receive updates on my account to text my cellphone. I want my direct deposits and all transaction to come to my cell phone. Tell Steve Harvey he is doing an excellent job & thanks for the anniversary message. I hope to be a customer for a long time

I love this card... The only complaint I would have is all the fees. It adds up pretty quickly, but other than that I love the card!!!! Would love to upgrade to the VIP card but I can't afford it. The website is very easy to navigate!!! Thank you.

I have been with green dot for at least one year and so far green dot has been very fair and helpful! I hope that green dot will continue being fair and honest with their customers! Everyone is becoming greedy these days and that is what leads to their downfall! As long as Green Dot is fair with me I will stay with green dot!

I have no complaints really. The only thing is the balance isn't always updated correctly. Every morning I get an email and the balance isn't always correct. So if you could update more often, would be great. That is really the only request that I have.

It's a very good card, like it a lot. Very convenient, helps out with bill pay. Customer service is on point, lot of atms, lot of places to reload. Will tell all my family and friends, love the direct deposit. Best card on the market.

I love the card and the customer care. The only thing I don't like is having a credit limit on my money. I should be able to take out what I want when I want!!! The money that is deposited into my account is money that I worked for and I can only take out so 3000.00 a day is crazy.

My card was not used in Jan 2017. I e-mailed the form and no action taking. Charges for 10.00 + 10.00 + 10.00 + 5.00 + .01. I'm guessing if I had more you would have given that away also. This card was used for emergency. Will I ever see the funds refunded?

The ATM fees are a little steep. It would be nice to see in the transaction are the name of the business you made the transaction at, not just the address or ATM number. It doesn't work with Uber either.

Sometimes it's hard to login and says it's not registered. I have to try more than once. A few times my card didn't work to reload at the store. Had to try more than once. Other than that, I love using Green Dot.

I am extremely satisfied for how easily I can look up my card in thru the Green Dot App. It easy to navigate and works quickly when I funds. Saves me time and money (no pun intended). Also, the times I made a call to customer service about anything, issues were resolved during that particular call I made about my issues. Continue to do customer service like that and you will definitely have a repeat customer for as long as a need this account.

While I like the use of Green Dot, I noticed that if I try to use it for google wallet it won't let me cause it shows that it a prepaid card and not a checking account card. So if you could come out with one for the regular customers that would be great. I just got approved for my Green Dot platinum visa card so I'm excited about that cause I'm going to use it as a savings account.

I love the direct deposits for my pay and really love early pay a day before payday! Very convenient to load money when needed and I love the savings using my new Black VIP card on the ATMs! I also love the possibility to have $5,000 deposited into my account just for using my card on a monthly basis! Thank you!

Love it. The best way to keep track of my money and nothing fraudulent happening to my account. I have another card too ending ** which I use for fun purposes only. I just wish working with 2 jobs I could get a loan through Green Dot but I can't put my main income on Green Dot. It's not allowed with the County Payroll.

I am pleased with the Green Dot card. My only problem is the amount of funds you can only take and the fact that I can't do money transfer if someone request. Someone did get my card info and was able to use it and I was out of that money. If someone don't have the card to make a purchase they need to show id.

I really love having this card to use for a multitude of things. Paying bills, buying things online, having cash on it for backup- these are just a few of the things that I use it for every day. Some folks think that the fee is too high, but think of it this way: if someone gets ahold of your credit card, it is going to cost you way more than the few dollars you get charged through Green Dot. I will pay that every time to have my credit stay intact. Thanks Green Dot!!!

My experience with Green Dot has been great. I've had it for about 10+ yrs now and never had a problem. Oh by the way my Green Dot card the is my new #**. The number I put is the new number so you can update my file. I think Green Dot should have an advance program also where if we need cash before our date we should be able to get it. If so the limit would be up to $500.00, and then when the checks do come you take it back. I think that would be a good program. I know other cards that do it. That's a thought for some time. Then Green Dot would be even better especially with people that's had it for a long time. Just think about it.☺

I have been using Green Dot for some time and the card has become very useful; I have used it for direct deposit which helps me when our Tribal Cashier does not have enough money to cash checks and I can pay for various items online. Date that direct deposit processes always changes. Cashiers never know how to load the card. The people who work in customer service are ALWAYS rude, none of them can ever answer my questions. They are too jumpy and want to rush to cancel my previous card just to get me off the phone then when I tell them I don't want it cancelled, "Oh it's too late I already processed it." Just lack of respect and care for customers. WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. I am ONLY a customer until I get a real bank account, solely on the customer service reps.

I have been a Green Dot customer for over 1 year. I like how deposit money is simple and easy. I don't like how every time I take out money I get charged $5 instead of $2.50 like the atm machine says. It would be nice to have some kind of incentive for being such a long loyal customer.

I have had nothing but great things to say about the company. Easy to operate and purchase online or in store with my card. I just wish more stores could reload my card with cash but that's part of living in Alaska though. Maybe hopefully more stores will start to carry your brand.

Card works well and is easy to use. I have used this card for 6 years. I use it when I can. Mainly for online purchases. It is safe and secure. Safer than a regular credit card because I load it up for the purchases. I even take money out at ATMs. Who could ask for more?

My experience with Green Dot has been a very positive one. It has given me a chance to pay bills not using the checking account and to have an additional ways to access funds. When account is not right Green Dot contacted me and we have set up new plans to get account in good standing. They print out a report stated future payments and I can review to make sure accounts are being deducted from correct account. This communication is helpful and will create an excellent outcome.

So the card is nice once in awhile...not much! So my New Year's was ruined! I couldn't take out any money from any atm. I had plans that were ruined. MY NEW YEAR'S!!! I called to ask what was going on. The lady from Green Dot told me they're having issues with ATMs sorry and that's all she said was sorry and I said "So I am stuck doing nothing because I can't get my own money off the card." She said "Sorry". I said "Well sorry isn't good enough because now my New Year's is ruined" and she hung up on me!! It's unacceptable!!
So my experience so far has been very poor. Also I can't take out more than $400 in 24 hours but I can deposit 10,000??? That doesn't make sense. I can never get my New Year's back and it was ruined because of Green Dot and the issues you were having with the ATM situation!!! And it's not like Green Dot cares. I have been looking for other options so Green Dot can never do something like this to me again!! What if I was traveling and all I had was my Green Dot card with money on it and you guys were having an issue? I would be totally screwed and all I would get is a measly apology from Green Dot. That's terrible business.

I have been a Green Dot Card holder for many years, and have never had any problems with the service that I receive from them. I am all for making anything better, but to me, I don't see where there is anything that really needs to be changed or updated with the service.

The reps barely speak English. Whether you chat or call they have no clue what you are saying if you speak English. When they speak to each other they speak their native language. None of the 30-40 reps I have spoke to speak English.

I don't like being charged $4.95 for monthly card fee and $7.95 for VIP status fees every month because that's ridiculous to charge a person $12.90. That's a extra expense they're not counting on. Especially when I already pay $4.95 putting money on my card every week!!! I like having my prepaid card to use it when I pay my bills by phone and paying for things online.

After noticing an unknown charge to my card I called to have the transaction disputed. The customer service rep was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was told to manage my money better and had my card cancelled after asking for them not to cancel it because I had bills that needed my attention. I felt very disrespected and unappreciated as a customer. Initially I was going to just cancel my account but did not want to go through the direct deposit wait again.

I have had a Green Dot card since 2002. It is the only card I use to pay bills, shopping, etc. I have my payroll direct deposited into one card and my social security direct deposited into a second card. Taxes are also direct deposited onto one of the Green Dot cards. The only time I had a problem with an online company stacking up charges I didn't make, Green Dot closed the account, got my money back and quickly sent me a new card. I will never have a regular checking account through a standard bank again.

I get direct deposit and my money is always there. Very convenient texting for balances and transaction history. I tell a lot of people to use this card. It's nice having an account unlike the bank. I don't have to keep a minimum amount on it and the fee monthly to use it is low.

Was using my card as my only source of payment and had my check direct deposited to it when it was compromised. I got no call. Just that it was declined every where on a Thursday so I called and was told it was used somewhere I wasn't so it had to be reissued. This was on a pay day and I had no access to my pay check. They said "Oh it will be a couple days. You will have your new card. I'm sorry." 2 weeks later it finally came. I had to go 2 weeks with no access to all the money I had. Thankfully I had good friends that bailed me out. Now I only keep a small chunk of my money on the card. I use another service for the majority of my money.

I was having problems doing a photo check deposit. Called Customer Service. Rep was ignorant and couldn't explain to me what the problem was. Every question I asked she answered "I see" or "Hmm, hmm." Frustrated. Terrible service. When I asked to speak to someone else I was disconnected.

I have really enjoyed using my Green Dot card to pay bills, shopping and it make me feel more secure of not having to carry cash around. And like how if it's stolen it doesn't take long for you all to take care of the situation. I wish you had a card that's kid\teenage friendly. I dislike the point of when you want to add money it costs you an additional amount. It would be a lot better if you could add funds without an additional cost. I also don't like that when you use an ATM it charges you a certain amount and then after you withdrawal the funds the card also charges you an additional amount also.

Don't like 7.95 a month registration. If you add more than 1000 dollars month then it doesn't roll over. Also 2.50 atm fee plus another 2.50 to take money out. Um no fair. 5 dollars to take out 20 cash not fair. Also umn rewards for adding more than 1000 a month should be right. Also a way for someone to add money to the card instead of western union you money would be a fair idea.

I think that after a certain length of time as a customer or have direct deposit or even both. We should at least have one of the fees eliminated...$2.50 per transaction....is a lot...especially when you're a single mother. That could go towards something for them or my home.

I was getting everyday balance info. on my card ending in ** and one it has stopped, also I get my SS Disability put into the card each month and now I'm not getting info. and I am hoping that I don't have to reset it all over again. I'd have to say that might tick me off a tad bit and I don't want to have to reset everything, can you assure me that, that won't happen? Also is it possible to turn my card ** into a black card? I think that it is unfair to charge a customer bank fees on top of the fees that the other banks charge to withdraw money from the ATM machine. Green Dot already charge a monthly fee. And it should not be a limit on how much money you want to put on your card in a given day. The customer do pay a reload fee which is high and Green Dot don't offer you rewards like Walmart does by using Green Dot cards. But customer service is great and other issue in the past have been resolved. Thank you.

Overall our experience with Green Dot has been fair. The card is accepted everywhere, and there is no issues with it. But all the fees that are charged are a little much. $10 for a monthly fee, and then an additional $5 any time you want to add additional money to it, even though direct deposit is already set up? Plus then you have to pay extra just use the routing and account numbers. Honestly it seems cheaper just to go with a bank.

The customer service suck, you can barely understand what the representatives are saying. Plus it takes you through too many unnecessary steps. I will be leaving Green Dot behind. The only convenience is being able to get paid two days earlier.

Why is the monthly fee so high?? Why do I have to pay the monthly fee if you notice the card isn't in use causing Me to have a negative balance on the card??? I like using the card, I like gettin my direct deposit early but I don't feel like I should be charged for months you notice that the card isn't in use.

I have been pleased with my Green Dot card. The process for disputing a charge is little difficult (having to go to a different site filling out paperwork without any explanations) and then it took a few weeks to be refunded my money. Which I felt was way too long to wait for something that was not my fault. Overall I am very happy with the card and the service. Love the text alerts. Thank you.

Practical and useful. I only have recently had any problems with the use of my card, and that problem is difficulty adding funds at merchant locations. Sometimes I am denied permission to load more than $100 at a time, but can't load multiple times in 24 hours. Other than this issue, I have been completely satisfied with its performance.

I don't like this card. I get notify too late when my money deposit. Get no kind of balance alert when I use my card. So I'm thinking about going to another card because if I lose this card and somebody use it I won't know until the next day. I have had other that is way better.

I have liked Green Dot for years now. But there's two major things that really bother me. 1. The ATM limit needs to be raised. 2. Not being able to electronic transfer my funds to other cards. It's only to other Green Dot cards. Minor issues is the outsourced customer service agents and attitudes, I have lost my patience on them several times. Also, there should be an agent 24/7 that can issue a new card, without rendering my old one useless. I love the freedom of this card, but the limit, really sucks. It should be $800 at least. That's my bills, I should be able to withdraw that at one time, not 500 one day and 300 the next. Thank you for hearing from me.

I enjoy the access and usage, I used for direct deposit. I do feel a great change would be to be able to transfer from one prepaid card to another to gain full access to create maybe a savings account or just simply a backup access in case your card tends to act up. I'm suffering from my Account Now visa and feel the idea can be achieved.

Personally I think you charge too much. It started at 5.95 then you jumped it to 7.95. I would like to know why??? Plus you did not inform me of the increase. I'm about to get rid of this card and change to a different company. It would be nice if you would put less stipulation with your card and you would have more customers.

The fees are outrageous. I go to places that are suppose to be free withdrawals and they never are. Can't use the app or website to sign into account. Doesn't recognize me and customer service can't or won't help me. Looking for an alternative card from Green Dot. Would not recommend to anyone.

I wish fees were less, monthly fees and rules to waive them are too much... I should qualify for a Credit card too thru Green dot. So after 5 plus years! I'm a little disappointed in the fact that service and customer service hasn't improved much.

There is no bank I would prefer than Green Dot. My paycheck is usually deposited 2 days before payday which makes it very highly convenient in the long run. I do not have to worry about overdrafts and if I don't have the funds, the card does not charge. Green Dot has the best service ever out of any bank I have ever dealt with in my life. There is no other bank nor prepaid debit card I would recommend to anyone besides Green Dot.

I am gonna to be very fair...worse company ever! I was not sent a new card when my last one expired on the basis that I did not use it enough. I had 500+ on my card and it canceled, wait weeks, nothing in the mail. I had to call and I was told a new one was not sent because of no use...when I just loaded that 500+ onto it. Worse idea and service ever.

I think Green Dot is a good card, however, because I am unable to print out deposit forms makes it difficult to have funds directed to this card. Checks should not cost that much. It also makes it difficult to check my balance automatically because I can't select ANY alerts. I don't have any control in changing my phone # on your system, I never won the $5000 and I used my card all the time - knowing I needed those funds, refunds should show up immediately, and I should have more prompts for alerts on the website. What type of alerts: low balance alerts, deposit alerts, password change alerts, anytime alerts.

I have automatic deposits every week and still charge 7.99 monthly fee if don't do 10000 monthly which is wrong... Every time I make a deposit it's 4.95 fee plus 7.99 monthly fee. I'm looking at different prepaid debit cards that have better or no fees.

Plain & simple your customer service sucks with a meaning of a waste of time in having this service. I've had issues with a merchant charging my card without permission with never refunding that purchase and going around in circles with customer service!

I was upset by the fact that my card was immediately shut down, due to unknown charges. I wish I had a chance to get money out of atm. I wish my card looked like a regular debit card with name... etc.

My Green Dot Card, although officially a debit card is treated as if it's a true credit card. I use it whenever a credit card is required just by leaving a minimal balance on it. I will reload it prior to a purchase and even with the reload fee and the monthly service charge, it's cheaper than the majority of credit cards' charge for interest. If it is lost or stolen, there is only a minimal amount on it so it gives me that peace of mind knowing that it can't leave me with an outstanding debt from misuse. I just cancel that card and immediately purchase a new one for the reload fee and if I do still have a balance on the lost card it's easily transferred to my new one. Easy to add funds to the account from many retail stores even in a remote rural area as mine. It's the only way I go and I highly recommend to anybody considering one. No contracts or obligations. I am in complete control of all actions on my account.

My card still don't work and Green Dot wants me to pay for a replacement!!! Pshhhh!! Already moved my direct deposit account to another bank! Will not return. Sad part is I've used Green Dot for every direct deposit!!! The customer rep was very inexperienced and not helpful. Poor customer service. I will not recommend Green Dot to anyone.

I hate that you have to show ID to add money to the card. Sometimes it is easier to have my boyfriend run and add the money for me but he can't because they check your ID. Especially when I was recovering from surgery and was non ambulatory. Think about it.

I feel it's enough that I have to pay a fee to reload and it's only waived for direct deposit which saves you admin fees, time and paperwork. I know you receive a percentage every time I use the card for purchases so why charge me to carry the card? I think you should only charge a fee when the balance falls below 350.00 or when there are less than 5 transactions in the month. Netspend really seems like a better deal in this area. I like your online services, 800 customer service and direct deposit turnaround time and accuracy. Also applaud you for the text for balance and history.

I did not receive my new card after expiration of old. In which all my available funds became "Blocked", as sales reps put it. I then called, canceled my NEW card and had to have them express me another reissued NEW card for 15$. Well my card was not delivered in 3 days as promised so again my funds were inaccessible. I feel the 15$ should be included in my situation. Who's to say you ever mailed my replacement card, I didn't get it. And I check my mail daily. So to have to wait a total of 2 weeks to use my money is bull. And to date I've not yet received my newest ordered card.

I was a Green Dot VIP and I would be charged for this service. I reported my card lost and instead of sending my replacement card via FedEx express it was sent regular mail. I called customer service and received horrible customer service.

I've been a Green Dot customer for approximately 8 yrs and I don't understand why, whenever there sweepstake contests, only newly acquired customers seem eligible to win regardless of how you enter or the number of submitted entries, we're always overlooked. Really would like to use card more but when it costs $3.74 every time to load it plus the monthly fee it makes it too pricey for a disabled person with limited funds. I would use it more if either one of them would not be charged and the limit that is set to waive a charge is too high for me to be able to reach it.

I would give this card 5 stars, but the one thing that holds me back is the lack of ability to use my card on my uber account. With the increase in popularity, I think you need to figure out how to make your card work with the app. I prefer to use your card over dealing with the bank or any other card, but this is a big let down. I do recommend your card to others, but I do advise that it does not work if you need it for that.

I've been satisfied with Green Dot for the most part. The only thing I have to complain about is that I cannot use deposit check by photo. I used to be able to do so at first. Then it just stopped and it took me forever to try and resolve which never got resolved and now I have to go to the bank that issues them to cash them - BIG inconvenience. I don't believe it is far to charge a maintenance fee based on a cardholder's lack of $1000 in direct deposits and 30 transactions per month. I believe this fee should be waived if any direct deposit is issued to the card.

I say this because several times the one ATM in my community was down and I had no other choice to obtain cash other than having to pay a fee because I used the bank tellers.

I use my card for online shopping and bill pay, and although I have occasional inconveniences with retailers posting a pending purchase holding funds and then charging my card separately, in effect charging me twice (although the 'pending' funds are eventually released back into my balance) I am otherwise very pleased with the services provided me. I rely heavily upon my green dot visa as a safe payment method.

For me this is a card that is easy to use, a good overall card to have. I get direct deposit and I pay bills all with this card. The fees are reasonable as compared to bank fees. I have online access to my account as well as using the mobile app to check my balance, keep track of what I spend and have left to spend. There are plenty of ATM machines to use without fees for this card. I have no complaints and I have recommended this card to multiple people, some of them have got the green dot card and are happy that they did. I only wish for one more thing, I use paypal and I have to have a paypal card to have funds loaded onto. If Greendot would let me transfer my paypal funds onto this card I could eliminate the other card and use just this one if there would be a way, even if there is a fee that would be fine. My preference is for Green Dot only. Thank you.

To add money, the fees are lower than any other card available to me. The monthly fees are a little high, so I try to load enough each month so that the fees are waived. The card doesn't work in every gas pump, but that isn't too much of a hassle. Oh, yeah, we love Steve Harvey!

I like the fact I can track my card usage within a few minutes. Direct Deposit was also easy to sign up for. Easy to pay bills and so far accepted everywhere I shop. Not only would I recommend this card to a friend I have done so. You have a kind and understanding staff helping me out when I had questions.

I've been having trouble with Green Dot app and every time I call to fix it they say it's fixed when it's really not. So for the past month I have to check my balance and transactions through text messaging which I hate. I have to look for a new card company.

Green Dot canceled my card and sent me a new one due to iTunes stealing money from me. However you refused to help me get my money back. Then somehow iTunes ended up with my new card number and is now charging this card. Green Dot is totally useless!

The fees for this card are too high. I have to pay $4.95 when I put money on the card then $6.95 is taken off as another fee. Too much money in fees. I'm going to drop this card because of the high fees especially the second one.

For the most part, I have been happy with my experience with Green Dot. I like how I can direct deposit my check. I wish you could transfer money from one Green Dot acct to another. I also like the app that allows me to look at my balance. Thanks!

I have been a consumer for a long time with Green Dot but when I try to my account as an actual bank account, it's never shown as a real bank. I like the card and all. But there should be more you can do with it financial wise. Like right now, with me being a five year consumer, I would like cash advance, loans and things in that nature.

There is only one issue I have with my secured credit card. You have my money as security for my account! Yet you charge me $5 to make a payment on my account which you already have security for. Unforeseen with bad credit and trying rebuild it. I am stuck starting off with a secured card. But it is a rip off. As soon as I am able to get an unsecured card (a regular) credit card I will close this account and with a zero balance close this account.

Had issues using the card at a gas pump. She told me that she did not see any issues with the card (I always use this gas station) but she was very polite and suggested maybe go inside and pay at the register and that worked fine.

I been banking with Green Dot for a while and last year around this time in February I had a big dilemma with you guys, and I got charged late fees for a mistake you guys cause me. You see my card had expired and I never received my new one so I had to wait 7-10 business days for it to arrive to take money out. Then you guys said I could buy another card and transfer money so I did but was later told I couldn't pull it out, therefore I was charged late fees... So yea, how about that ConsumerAffairs?

I have been a Green Dot customer for a few years and I have never been happier. I have my payroll direct deposited and my money is always available at least 1 day in advance. Other than the initial purchase fee of the card and a monthly maintenance fee (until my direct deposit was set up), I have never had to pay monthly fees or worry about overdraft charges (as you do with a bank). I utilize the online bill pay option which is completely free and makes bill pay very easy. I am very pleased with Green Dot and will never go back to a regular bank! If I need cash I can go to a designated ATM and there is no fee. Just wish there was not a limit on how much per day can be withdrawn via the ATM (due to when it is time to pay my rent, it has to be pulled out over a 3 day period). I have recommended Green Dot to friends and family and will continue to do so.

Easy to use. My money is always on my card when it's supposed to be. And the app is extremely easy to use. Would recommend this card to anyone. I also enjoy the free atm withdraws which are easy to find on the free app.

I like my card and I use it for bills and other everyday purchases. I would like to be able to link it to my personal bank account to transfer funds. I wish there was an online reloading process. I like that the expiration date is more than one year.

I love my Green Dot prepaid debit card. I have my direct deposit set up through it and I always get paid a day early. No surprise charges and I get daily balance updates. I would recommend to my family and friends. I give Green Dot a 5 out of 5 star rating.

I am unable to view my account online. It tells me I have too many attempts and kicks me out. So I am unable to check my balances and see my charges. But the text functions work great. I enjoy the card itself. It's a great alternative to the other options.

The Green Dot website will not let me log in. It says my password is wrong, so I try change it then it gives me a one time password or good for 8 hours. Anyway that should be changed. I really want to see my card debits and credits and balance. When I put in the one-time password it doesn't work for me. Either I'm not doing it right or it's not working for me. If you can help me out that would be great. Oh I love getting my money earlier than usual.

I haven't had any issues with Green Dot. I have called customer service a few times with questions and always received a quick polite answer. I would recommend this card to anyone. I have direct deposit and I have never had any issues with the funds being there when they were supposed to be there.

I love my card. I don't have to worry about getting charged interest. It is so easy to use. The only thing I don't like about the card is the service charge fee they deduct every month. I have even given cards like mine to friends and family for a gift of some kind.

I love Green Dot! I get paid a day early which really helps out! I have never had any issues with my card, account or Green Dot itself. I recommend everyone to get a account. I use it like a regular checking account. Green Dot is easy to reload. And lots of locations to choose from. Wish there were more atms free to withdraw from but other than that no issues. I give Green Dot a ten+ on the scale of prepaid cards! Oh and I love how the monthly charges are waived with certain criteria when other companies don't give the options!

Love the early Direct Deposit. Can you for everywhere. Love the waived monthly fees. Only thing that is a hassle is ATM fees. I recommend to everyone! Always use it and deal with less cash now which saves me more money in the long run. Way better than regular bank.

I have been very pleased with the card up till last week. I went to an ATM and withdrew $300. The Atm was empty so I didn't receive the cash but it pulled the $300 off my card. The teller at the bank refilled the ATM and said to try again. I did try again and received $300. I also have two $300 withdrawals on my card that had my account in the negative till my direct deposit hit. I have a +$300 in my transactions but it hasn't posted yet. It has been six days.
Meanwhile not having that post had my account almost $300 negative, which the $300 is actually there, but after my direct deposit went thru it brought it into the positive but I'm still not able to take care of my responsibilities because without that money posting I haven't enough. Not sure if I have enough to make it till the money posts. Other than this major setback I have been pleased with the Green dot card. This is a major complication for me. I hope you give my complaint some consideration and brainstorm a way to fix this problem from happening to me or someone else.

Green Dot debit card is a good viable option for me while I am in transition in my life. With direct deposit and mobile app access to my account, I can pay my bills, get cash as I need it, and monitor my account day by day. Customer service has been quick to respond to any questions I have had and I have not had any issues with using it wherever I go.

I am very satisfied with my Green Dot card. I plan on continuing to use it. I have had and used it for almost 1 year. Have found no store that will not take it. But there is some on line things that won't take it because it was prepaid but I hardly shop on line so it's all good.

I love this card because it has inexpensive loading fees and you can load anywhere and use it at any time. I'm really excited because they just sent me a credit card. Nobody else would give a credit card. So I'm currently waiting for it so I can start building my credit.

I am extremely aggravated that I cannot log in online AT ALL to see any activity. I tried to change my password one night and since then I have NEVER been able to log in online. I am not happy about this situation. I have already called about this and they have me the ** spiel about the email and forgotten password etc but it never effin works and it's a load of **!

My experience has been wonderful, easy and convenient to pay my bills with. I would recommend the Green Dot card to anyone. I have had no problem with anyone not accepting the card. I have been using my card for a while now and don't have to worry about overdraft fees or any other fees for that matter.

Love the card, don't like the monthly fees going up and up. When I first bought the card the monthly fee was $5.95, now it's increased to $7.95. When will it stop? I'm tempted to choose another company who doesn't charge fees for using my money to invest.

When I got my last card I was told that I could deposit checks. Most times when I wanted to deposit a check it came back that I could not do it. I receive checks and need to be able to deposit them. So I went to a local bank and for the first 30 days they held my checks for 8 business days and after the 30 days they only hold a check that is not drawn from the bank for two days. Now I do not have to worry about trying to deposit a check and getting the message back that I needed to have my check re-issued. There was nothing wrong with the checks that I tried to deposit.

I love Green Dot! I do not have a bank account and with trying to get back on my feet with employment, I was referred to Green Dot by my ex employer and I really enjoyed the advance payments!! I was a Green Dot customer for 10 years without a problem. Until last May, when I was denied a purchase due to a double posting of a purchase. After much time online, the money was returned to my account. I had been able to check my balance by text on my phone, but that disappeared. I somehow was denied access to my information on the website. No one seemed to be able to fix that. Then in October, another purchase was billed twice in exactly the same situation as the May error. That told me that no effort was made by the system to fix this type of error. I am done with Green Dot. You need to cut the focus on marketing and maintain accurate and complete records. P.S. It would help a lot if you used American operators. I had a lot of trouble understanding the heavy Indian accents in the large noisy room they work in.

I like my Green Dot card. I just add to it. It is good I don't need a money order. This is what I should have done long time ago. A lot of places I order will not take a check. The place where I add to my card is close to my home. I can call to check on my balance.

While it's very useful receiving daily balance reports on my card it would be even better if the balance shown was accurate. It seems to never accurately show my real balance if I log into my account then I get the actual balance. It would be nice if somehow the balance was updated at a faster rate.

I enjoy your service, I wish it were easier to sign up with direct deposit. That's all I have negative to say. You're awesome. I use it everywhere, usually load at Walgreens, pay my fee and it's usually available within ten to fifteen minutes. If an email could be sent to let you know when your monthly fee is going to be deducted that would help.

The website is not user friendly if you can even get logged into it in the first place. Also the customer service dept are rude and not helpful at all. Maybe it's the language barrier. I will never recommend this pre-paid card to others.

Love the card. The only thing I don't like is that I have to pay to add my own money on it and I don't like not getting my text messages about my balance when I'm signed up for them, and I don't like paying a monthly charge. Other than that I love it.

I love this card. I used to spend more than I had in my bank accounts. With this card you can't overspend. The fees are reasonable. When I need to contact them they were very helpful and took care of whatever issues I had right away. It so easy to use online or at store. I tell people about Green Dot all the time.

The only positive thing I can state about my GreenDot experience is that I received my direct deposits one day earlier. Everything else seemed to be a bit of a nightmare. I would utilize my card, and then they would block it. Calling into customer service was a joke! And the monthly fee waiver with at least $1,000 direct deposit didn't happen for me! I was still charged the monthly fees even though my biweekly direct deposits were considerably more than the minimum amount. Oh, and I was never able to set up online access for my card. When I called for assistance I was told that there was nothing that they could do to help me. Giving them a one star rating is being incredibly generous because I don't feel they deserve that!

As far as using the card it's good receiving. My money is good but I have been trying to get into my account for months and I am not able to see my transactions, my history, no nothing and I am upset about that. I love my Green Dot card. I hate when I have to call for something. The foreign agents don't understand plain English. It also takes forever to get through to someone there. The agents are rude & don't care about their customers.

I contacted Green Dot about when my direct deposit would hit. They provided me with all of the info they could, but it wasn't very detailed. I was somewhat happy with the responses. Your support team never seems to have a REAL answer for anything. Shipping is always 7-14 business days. They never tell me a better estimate of time. They never have a straight answer. Thanks.

Tried to do dispute for House of Beauty because my order was delivered outside my building. Company said "do dispute on both ends." You all wouldn't even accept dispute. I'm out of $158. And some change and no products??? I'm so getting rid of Green Dot next week!! Thanks jerks.

My direct deposit is super fast! However, I would like more features like mobile check deposit, or the ability to transfer to my savings account. The fees to withdraw are pretty high if you do not have a MoneyPass ATM near you. And you have to pay to add funds.

For the most part I like Green Dot but I find when it’s time to renew my card I always seem to have issues. I also wonder why Green Dot cannot put chips in the cards. With security being most importantly to me. I like Green Dot and have been a customer since Green Dot came out.
