My experience has been ok. I have started using other prepaid cards here and there. I mostly only use Green Dot for bills that I have to use Visa for, due to the increase of fees. I find that the loading fees and monthly fee are too high, which is why I am trying to mostly switch over to blue bird. They have no monthly fees and no loading fees. I plan on just opening a bank account this year, and moving away from Green Dot completely simply because of the fees. Also the customer service is less than acceptable.

The customer service is horrible. No one speaks English well. Hard to understand them. Also when you have a problem they never know how to resolve them. Their process as far as holding your funds is horrible. They want you as a customer to basically do their job for them. I wouldn't recommend this card to anyone and I'll soon won't be using it as well.

Lately (this past month) I called over a dozen times on a simple issue that was never resolved to my satisfaction and have been seriously thinking of switching cards because of it. You did ask for my honest feedback and here it is. Customer service reps flat out lied to me even though I literally begged for the truth. I asked for a manager and they would not let me speak with one. One day I was transferred five times and nobody could help me or would help me. Then the last representative lied thru his teeth. Horrible, dishonest customer service is not a way to retain customers who run their whole paychecks thru your system. I hope somebody actually listens this time. Thank you.

Fast, Accurate and reliable card to have. I get my checks direct deposited two days early and that works great in my Favor. Customer care isn't that great and I wish you guys had banks and ATM in my area...

We like the Green Dot card because of the low monthly rate. We use it a lot for everything we need it for, And we would tell our friends and family about the card. We have enjoyed the card for many years. And we are hoping real soon to add another card.

I love my Green Dot card but I do have issues with the customer service. Each and every time I try to reach a person to ask a question, it takes forever to reach a real person. Once you do reach a person, just to ask a question, they cancel the card. It takes a week to get a new card and I don't have access to my money, which is extremely frustrating. Each person I have been able to speak to has been extremely rude as well. I take issue with this because I also work in customer service.

Completely satisfied. Would benefit from a fee waiver after so many loads on a card. The fee can be a little much if you are loading it every month or every two weeks. I like the Green Dot card because it helps me monitor my spending.

Absolutely horrible. I am moving my account to another bank. They claim they have mobile deposit, but it doesn't really work and it says they cannot deposit your check for reasons they don't even know! I called the customer service number and the account representative had no idea what she was doing and could barely speak English. I demanded for a manager 3 times and finally they put Angel on the phone who said they would file a claim and I would hear back from them in 24 hrs. Never heard from anyone. Needless to say, their customer service isn't worth the $6.00 service charge, scam.

Been having this card for over 7 yrs. It is a reliable card. I get my pay check faster, there is never a problem when Tax season comes. I have had zero problems while using this card. The one thing I wish I could do with it is use the checking portion to pay bills. Some bill collectors won't take the card number.

It's very difficult to get through the automated system to a representative when calling. That needs to be made easier. The system just keeps rerouting you when all you want is to speak to a live person who can help.

The only thing I think could be improved is to raise the daily amount you're allowed to put on your card. Otherwise I like this card. I like that you can add money at a lot of different places now. I would recommend this card to anyone. The fee is reasonable to add money.

This is high too just have the card. It's 995 and most cards are less especially when you do direct deposit which I do but still this rate never reduces. I have had my card active for almost a year and would like to see a better monthly rate.

My experience with Green Dot has been great and I will continue to use my Green Dot card as I have been a holder for over 2 years. I wish they would offer more incentives to use the card but the service has been great as I upgraded my card to waive some of my fees.

Satisfaction with the service has increased since being able to replenish it with a simple card swipe at the cashier which also provides for quicker access to my funds. I did not give it 5 stars because of its somewhat pricey cost in comparison to alternatives providing similar services at no charge.

I have had nothing but success and convenience using Green Dot. I highly recommend this product! The direct deposit feature and bill pay option are major pluses. There are also many other features of this card that just add to the benefits. I love it.

I think it was a good learning experience for me that even with credit issues I still can have a card that works like a bank account. Greendot.com offers people with bad credit hope. Now they have Green Dot credit card for ones with ok credit.

I have had this card for going on 5 years now, and I have never, ever had an issue with it. It is safe, secure, and can be used anywhere. The fees are so minimal that you don't even realize that they are charging you. And, if you have your direct deposit automatically go on the card, they waive the 7.95 monthly fee. Not only that, you will get your money 2 days prior to payday. That is one of the best features of the card. I highly recommend this card to everyone. You can get the actual card at most places like CVS. Just go do it, and stop procrastinating. It will make your life so much easier!!!

Green Dot would be a great company but I lose more money to fees being paid to them and use of my debit card at ATMs. I really lose more of my money than to spend because I have to cautious of all the hidden fees.

I am very satisfied with Green Dot, no problems and pay my bill without a mixup. I can go to places and add money to my card and don't have to wait to pay my bill. As soon as the money is there then the bill is gone and I try to add more to build a little on the card.

I like the card because it helps me with paying my bill over phone and not having to mail in payments. I wish that you could load card over $500 for one fee. I have to pay 2-4 times a month in fees due to I have a lot of bills but my bills are not Green Dot fault. This is a convenient card which you will never have an over limit fee.

My card was used in Texas right before Christmas. I have been trying to get my money back. Customer service is less than helpful. I found a purchase dispute email address and told what was going on. I never got a response and I am LIVID.

I have had a good experience with Green Dot although it gets expensive paying $4.95 to load the card and the monthly fee has gone up to $7.95 if your balance and number of transactions are below the required amount. What bothered me more than all else was a letter I received from Green Dot with a new card long before my card was to expire that I didn't understand until I started reading the fine print... It had a totally different set of rules, fees and the like... There was no provision to waive the monthly fee with a minimum number of transactions and balance. All of this would have been a slap in the face if I had not read the small stuff before activating the card. It just felt like they were hoping I wouldn't look close. Anyway, I like my Green Dot card because you can use it instead of your debit card that's linked to your bank account when shopping, etc.

Very easy to reload at the register. Funds are usually available right away. In the past, I had trouble getting a charge removed, however, recently there have been no problems with the card. I have not had to remove or dispute any charges, but I am still a little concerned that it may not be taken care of, like the last one, if I do.

I just wish you could personalize the cards instead of just having a plain ole card. Would be nice if you could make that happen. And also raise the limit that can be withdrawn daily. Other than that for the most part I enjoy the card and the fact that the monthly charge can be waived.

I've been dealing with Green Dot awhile now and I absolutely love their services. I haven't had any type of problems with their cards and direct deposit is wonderful. I would recommend Green Dot to anyone. It's quick and easy. The best way to receive your funds without having a bank account.

Need to figure out how to cut down on the ATM fees. Some ATM'S charge way too much then on top of that get charged again from you. Other than that I LOVE MY GREEN DOT CARD and I always tell people to get a Green Dot card because it's great for direct deposit.

I can't get it to show activities on my phone. And it trouble me cause everywhere I go and use it can't see transactions being use. That's not good cause anything can be done with my card and I would have no idea it's being done cause I have no record of it.

I have enjoy the comforts of using the Green Dot Cards for my personal as well as my business funding. I no longer use a traditional bank but Green Dot affords me to have direct deposits, mobile deposits and of course going to the store to add cash to my card. I have never had a major problem using my card and if I did I can make a phone call and the customer service can help me. As far as the customer service I give them a A+!

Trying to find no charge ATMs or banks is too difficult and inconvenient. In Pigeon Forge on the parkway there are not many Weigel's, Walmart there is a 3$ charge, Walgreens is even more and then your company charges for it as well.

I have had all good experiences using the Green Dot card. It is fast and easy and I have a record of what I buy. The reload by swipe is easy. I miss the choice of friends and family buying the reload cards at grocery store, they made great gifts without having to swipe the card.

My only complaint is when I use the card for hotel deposits and the money is released the day I check out it takes more than a week for the money to be placed back onto my card. I have made several calls to complain about this and have spoken to a supervisor to recommend this problem be evaluated and a better solution be found.

I love having this card because it's more convenient than carrying cash. Also I use this card for direct deposit for my husband's paychecks and we get paid a day sooner than my husband's co-workers so therefore I can go pay my bills a day sooner than anyone expected. My only problem is me and my husband are both on the card and when we applied for a $100 loan it said that you guys were checking with lenders and that we should receive the loan in 3 days and we never have and that was 2 weeks ago. I logged in my account to see why and it's saying we should have gotten it and we didn't so that's my big complaint. Why lie to someone and say you loaned them money when you never did!!! It's just really aggravating when you really need the money and you go to use it and it's not even there so I kinda feel like you guys are liars when it comes to getting a loan.

I have had to get three cards last year. I pray that this year is better. So many companies don't take debit cards. You ask me to let you know how I rate Green Dot. I like that I don't have to carry cash. But I hate to use it just to buy a soda. So I rate the card as fair or three stars.

For the most part Green Dot is OK. The ATM fees of 2.50 per transaction is a little steep and should be reviewed. Also, the stripe on the cards were out very fast and mine needs replacing already. Also, is there gonna be cards issued with the chip?

I was very impressed when Green Dot refunded a purchase that was clearly not authorized by me. It was taken for an amount that was Cleary wrong and invalid. The store owner would NOT accept responsibility for the mistake but Green Dot stepped up and refunded the charge to me. I was very grateful because it was the right thing to do. Thank you again.

So far so good. Haven't had any problems. The only thing is I don't many ATMs in the state of Arizona where I can withdraw cash and also I can't retrieve a account statement from my account, but other than those few things I've had no problems with Green Dot.

I normally have nothing but praise for Green Dot, and I love all the features but one, deposit with smartphone. My State of California paycheck was denied, my direct deposit was removed by a employer clerical error, and because of the rural area I live in, it cost me almost $100.00 to reload my card. First, I had to cash my check at a check-cashing store, $68.00. Banks won't cash unless I'm a member, then there is loading the cash. The most I can load at a time is $500; I had $1,700.00 to load and each load had a fee. Apparently the company that screened my check denied me. Last year I purchased 2 new cars. The first one I had for 6 months, didn't like it and got one that I did, a 2017 Subaru, $23,000.00. If I had bad credit, why would I be able to purchase 2 new cars. This is the one and only bad experience with Green Dot, otherwise I would have given a 5 star rating. Thank you.

I love my account and all the account services people I have spoken to. They are professional and helpful. The improvements I would recommend would be to the online access. It is difficult to get information online even after registering my card. I'm not great with computers and is probably my fault. Otherwise I've been extremely happy with my card and services!

I have been a Green Dot customer for years and I love it. I have referred a couple of friends as well as family members to Green Dot and they have no complaints with being a Green Dot customer. I love how there is no overdraft fee as well as hidden fees with the card. I would not trade my Green Dot card in for any other bank.

Green Dot has provided me with such a great experience ever since I purchased a card over 2 years ago. I love the fact that I sometimes get my direct deposit 1-2 days earlier than expected. With the fact that I have my funds deposited onto my Green Dot bank card; this saves me the monthly fee of $7.95. Green Dot has so many wonderful things to offer as a bank.

For what I use this card for, it works just fine for me. I don't have anything bad to say about the service I have received. Nor do I have any problems with the requests that I have in getting problem solved. It would be nice if there was some way of transferring funds all at once than in increments of 3 hundred. I will still use this card for as long as I can.

See screenshot. I called when this fraud happened. Your people told me 2 weeks to fix. I never received a dime from this or received a receipt. Now I see it's been paid. Pilot was not on transaction at first. I don't think... When this happened I called ATM people. They said my card was never used in their machine. I hope the store cameras are good. I am not happy with this. Somebody owes me amount due. And... I can't afford 2 weeks. Not professional. Other than this 1 transaction... I like your service. 1 bad apple can ruin a whole batch.

I think that it takes entirely too long for funds to be credited back into your account. Ex: You go to a hotel and there is a deposit of $100 and in the morning they will credit you back. When the hotel credits your card it takes 10 days before you are refunded. Not to mention VIP fees especially if you have DD. This monthly charge should be waived as you already have to pay for uploads. I don't like to use my Green Dot card for anything that I may need to be refunded/returned because of the lengthy process.

The only thing that I don't like about having my prepaid card is that I have to pay to put money on it every time plus a monthly fee. It costs $3.95 every time you add to the card and then there's a $7.95 monthly fee. I think that's very unreasonable and unfair!!

I love how you guys have your direct deposit setup made for any activated card. I get to keep track of exactly how much I have in my account. What all purchases are made and with what vendors. Plus there's a lot of really cool perks that come with the card such as early tax refunds and withdrawals. But the coolest one is the chance for somebody to have the blessing of $5000 just for using their card! So thank you Green Dot for all that you do! Customer with direct deposit who feels disrespected and taken advantage of my own money that I work for but have to fight with Green Dot to access my money or for them to add 20$ to my card to feed my kids while they figure out my account!!!

I really like my card. Only problem I have is it's too many fees on this card far as atm and extra things that get taken off for no reason. But overall I like my card a lot. Direct deposit is always on time never late.

I have been using this card for years. It is convenient to have direct deposits, and many ATM machines are free. The only issue I have is the monthly fee. The monthly fee has gone up drastically! When you've been a customer for 7 or 8 years, you think you would get a discount instead of an increase.

I joined Green Dot because I want to receive my check early. That has not been the case lately. When I first transferred to Green Dot I receive my check on Wed around noon. Now for the past or 3 or 4 months I've been receiving my deposits late. On 2 occasions my check was deposited on my card Thursday. It's not my employer because they send checks out every Tuesday. I know because I work in the finance department. I might as well go back to my bank since I'm getting my check after work hours, after midnight, or thursday. I can go in and talk to a live person, if I have issues. I am seriously thinking about cancelling my card and deal with my bank.

I love that I got a Green Dot card. I get paid way ahead rest of the crew. Helps me keep track of my money where I spend it what day and how much I spent. When money was taken out unknown to me, Green Dot replaced it in matter of no time. I love Green Dot!!!

The only real problem I have with my card is there is a limit for how much you can have direct deposited at 1 time. Last year, I had my tax return direct deposited and it was returned to IRS because there was a limit for how much can be deposited and my tax refund was too much. This led me to get my refund MUCH later.

Asked customer service to help get me back on my account online and got no help whatsoever. Got told that because I use my phone and tablet I couldn't do it. That's not acceptable. I have a very good phone. Your customer service did nothing to help me out. Very disappointed. They told me I have to go use a computer. My phone is a computer.

Green Dot has been the easiest and best account I've had to work with. I've had no errors, the company has been very flexible with their services, and I've been making every payment on time. Hopefully, this is a company that I can stay with for a long, long time!!!

I have had my Green Dot card account for several years. I am very happy with my experience with Green Dot. They have resolved all issues that I have had in a timely manner. I used to have direct deposit with my former employer but since I have switched jobs I am no longer able to use the direct deposit service but when I did have the direct deposit service my funds were always there on time.

I have been with Green Dot for about 6 years now. I find that this card is great. A few small problems in the past but for the majority of the time (95/5) the card has rarely given me problems. And what problems I have had were fixed fast. Thank you Green Dot.

I'm not satisfied with the way Green Dot is handling my claim. I haven't heard anything yet from them about missing money from my account so I'm very unsatisfied. Assured me that they will get back in touch with me by January 10th. Here it is January 14th and I still haven't heard from them.

I have greatly enjoyed having this card and the Green Dot experience. My card was used fraudulently and Green Dot made sure the situation was investigated and resolved quickly. I was so thankful how they handled that giant problem! I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends.

I really like this card, plus it's a reasonable amount to pay monthly for it. But the only problem is I wish it's a better way to get a loan. This card isn't really much different than other credit card. It's pretty much the same, maybe helping people with their bad credit will be good.

I am satisfied with my card and will recommend to a friend. Been a customer for a long time. I pay my bills thru bill pay and I got my direct deposit. Green Dot is very good. The only bad thing is that I cannot use in Puerto Rico.

The card works pretty well as far as online information, easy to view, easy to load, can be used most places but not always online purchases. I don't feel that $4.95 each load should be applied. $2.95 would be most satisfactory. For the most part works rather well. Thank you.

My only issue is some places I can not use my card. For example in person at gas stations and online or with Google. I also had a hard time purchasing items of online site. I didn't realize how expensive the monthly fee is. I would like it if your reload fee went away like on the American Express card does.

I think this is a good card to pay your bills and use direct deposit. I feel that the monthly balance every month is extremely too high. Paying this isn't a problem but needs to be adjusted a notch or two...

I have used Green Dot card for more than 7 years and have not had nothing but a great experience with it. I use my card for everyday shopping paying bills and never had any place not accepted it. It would be better if it had the chip for faster checkout.

I use my Green Dot card to buy things online so I don't have to worry about being hacked. I feel this is the safest way and a lot of my friends have been doing this also. We all have agreed that we like it a lot better and we will continue to do our shopping this way and we can play games on their computers and laptops and phones and don't have to worry so thank you very much. Did it load as much money as don't have to worry.

Ease and access of account - My experience has been good with Green Dot. I am able to keep track of all expenses and it refills automatically a feature that makes it worth the small user fees. There is a lot of businesses that accept it without hassle that makes my shopping pleasant and a breeze.

I love my Green Dot card. It's easy to use, it have good security set up so no one can get into your account, and they have great customer service. Green Dot doesn't have a lot of hidden fees like some other cards and their card is easy to use and I would recommended Green Dot to anyone looking for a good prepaid debit card.

It would be nice to have a automated system that automatically show when you make a purchase. I think people deserve to have a automated accurate information on what is being spent. I like to know what my balance is at any given time. All my friends like spending and accurate details.

Overall the service is pretty great but the app doesn't update unless you log in so the balance function is useless. The daily email is outdated with inaccurate balance info. Furthermore they screwed up when they did away with waiving the fee once you direct deposit so much... Free atm list is outdated and incorrect.

I love Green Dot! Only thing I wish is my balance alert would be up to date, it's a day late. Only problem I ever came across was I had a dispute but didn't receive my cash back. Overall, I'm a proud green dot user. Great customer service as well!

I have had Green Dot for many years and I love green dot... but compared to some other prepaid cards offer a overdraw amount in case of a purchase emergency. I feel like green dot should do that as well. Also the monthly maintenance fee waive should be 500 to waive fee instead of 1000. And that 7.95 fee is too much... and direct deposit should deposit 2 days before like Netspend. I do receive deposit a day before pay day but that two days would be great???

I like the card. I use it to pay bills online and receive my direct deposit on time every month. It's faster and easier to use than having a regular credit card. With this one you can't get yourself in trouble for overspending. I have had mine for years.

I really like my card, but I don't think I should be charged every time to reload it. Then don't like that it has a certain reload amount. I'm already getting charged every time I swipe my card. That's the only problems I have when I have to use my card.

I live in a very populated area of Metropolitan New York. I have to rely on one good machine that is in my area within 5 miles. I have been with Green Dot for a number of years now, and instead of seeing an increase in machines to access my money, there are less than there ever was. And any other machines that are within a 20-mile area which are few they are in the worst possible neighborhood where I wouldn't risk my life. There used to be a few at Walmart, no more. I was recently at Kennedy Airport; it would many new machines there with all different logos for different cards, but absolutely nothing for Green Dot. This is disgraceful, when you push having your government checks, Social Security, so forth automatically deposited into your account every month, but nowhere to access your money. It makes your company seem more like a scam than anything else.

It's been a OK experience. I can't access my account online though. I also can not receive text messages. I am happy with my card service, I was unable to sign up for auto pay with card account. Car is paid now so it is not a big deal at this point. Thank you.

I have tried several times to reset my app so I can check transactions. I have even called customer service to see if they can help and so far I have received the same info when I call and it doesn't help me reset it. There should be a easier way to fix it or an easier way for customer service to explain it.

I didn't ask for a card that collect 10.00 a month from me! I was told that this fee wasn't waived! I just wanted the basic Green Dot card and I was told to request one but when I did I receive the same card again! I like the fee waiver cards! Don't understand the cash back when it's my money.

My experience has been great! I never have to wait for deposits cause when it's there it's there. I also love how easy it is to upload money. I most definitely recommend your service to anyone! This card has been a life saver to me. I use it for my college refunds and am able to buy what I need to get me through school. I have had an account for a few months and it's been very bad. I called to get my online banking taken care because I haven't been able to use it since the day I got it. I've called Customer service and can never understand a word anyone says and they tell me they'll send me a reset password so I can access my account online and that hasn't happen so I've called back and now I was told they will make a claim for my problem which still hasn't gotten resolved. I've literally been ignored in this problem for months so I will be getting a real bank account very shortly. Sorry.

I have tried many times to get myself signed in to use app. It tells me my card doesn't exist or that I'm not putting 3 digits for code when my code is **. I have had money a few times taken off card for online payment that I am unaware of. But I can't take 1-2 it to sit on hold waiting to speak to agent. I have absolutely called and spoke to your agents about the app issue and my results are, "I'm not sure sir. Are you sure you selected create??" "Yes I did." "Well sir... It should be working just fine now." I am an extremely large man. But I'm a man. And no one should ever do what the driver Matt did to me insult names etc. Also hits a horrible phone system. Need to be more senior citizen friendly. It don't understand the words well enough. Or my car stops. I'm parked behind cans we all like into 1 for lunch.

Since I have gotten my Green Dot card I've been pretty happy with it. Some things that I have liked have been the mobile app, depositing checks via cam, fast direct deposit, and being able to deposit cash at stores around me. Cons: For some reason the card doesn't work with Uber and Uber said it is because it is a reloadable card, need more fee-free ATMs, would like a savings account option. First of all why am I charged $10 a month even with direct deposit? Every past bank I've ever used has no monthly service charge if you are set up for DD. My main complaint though is the horrible ATM coverage. No "free" ATMs in my area so it's $5 a pop every time I get money out of an ATM regardless of the amount. There's nothing I can do about it because like I said no free ATMs in the area so no options. I shouldn't have to pay $5 every time I get money out.
Since my situation is a little different I have to get $400 out every paycheck and since most ATMs have a $200 max per transaction that's $10 to get the cash I need out twice a month (Green Dot's charge plus the average $2.50 an ATM charges). Shouldn't have to pay $30 a month just to have my money direct deposited on my card. Might be time to go back to a actual bank because while it may not seem like a lot of money for Green Dot but I'm throwing away $30 a month for accessing my money that I work my ass for.

Why would you make us wait a full year to receive our cashback reward? I sadly use a different card company now. This makes me sad but it's ridiculous to wait that long. Everything else about your card is great. I loved it. But if we can come to an agreement I would gladly return as a customer.

Great service. Could use more custom options. Maybe savings account option would be awesome. Being able to put some of my money away with ease away from my immediate funds would be nice. App needs work. Could use an easier to locate option for lost or stolen cards. Kind of hard to report card lost or stolen. Friendlier than American Express. Customizable cards would be cool. :) All in all my favorite company so far.

I love the fact I get paid 3 days sooner and am able to use my card anywhere. The app is very useful. I can access my account any time or day. It's very easy to deposit money into my account at certain retail stores. I also like that I get cash back rewards.

It's been perfect since we got our cards. We have not came into no issues. We love the fact that if we load 1000 on the card we have no fees. I wish it was made to only loading 500 to avoid fees but it's ok. I also love that we can still use credit too and avoid the pin when I forget it.

Have contacted Customer support several times and have yet to resolve the issue. Have to call the voice number to access blackface information and transactions. I could never access my account online and could never reset my password... and when I did I got a one time password that never worked then got blocked. Thanks for trying. Also never got my second card for a student. Got a new bank account with Wells Fargo so will no longer use this... unless I receive my second card... then I'll return. That was the reason I signed up.

I have been with Green Dot for a while. I don't like that I don't get free ATM withdraws from US bank anymore. I use the card mainly for some bills. I end up having to pay the 9.95 fee which I hate but I get it. I have 2 Green Dot cards and this one I guess has cash back so it will be nice when that comes through.

My experience with Green Dot card was ok. Green Dot card can do a little better with their system. I would love if Green Dot card had a savings option plus interest so everyone can save up using a Green Dot card. I would also like if Green Dot card can be a little more secure. For example if someone else use my card they will have to put in a pin number and or if they get the pin wrong Green Dot should call me right away. I would like it if Green Dot did just that.

Excellent customer service was received by me. They researched my problems and then got back to me with the results. They also gave me updates through my email and at the beginning of my online account page. If something else was needed, they gave me an explanation of what was needed and how to provide it to them.

Green Dot is an ok card. Pros: get my paycheck early, no fees at wawa atm. Cons: fees for adding cash on cards that are not deposit, MAJOR DISSATISFACTION in not being able to withdraw my whole check in one day to pay rent due to banking rules.

I deposited 500 dollars into my account and they took out twenty dollars. I'm not sure why. They didn't send me a receipt about it or a description stating why they took out twenty from my account. I want to know why and a statement stating why please and thank you.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Green Dot. I would refer the services to my friends. I receive my direct deposits in fact all deposits on my Green Dot card and get paid when the credit is seen. I have a bank account but would prefer to use the Green Dot card. The site is user-friendly which is a big help.

Very satisfied. One complaint the cost of the downloading being as high as it is and that it would be great to have check books to be able to write them from the card account. The plus is that you cannot overdraft that you can only use what is on the card and that is the end!! This is great!!!

For the most part I have been pleased with my Green Dot experience. My only complaint I have is the App locks me out sometimes. It took two days for it allowed me to log in. I didn't want to change my password because that's what I did the last time it locked me out. Overall though I love the card.

Love IT! Very easy to use, works just like a banking debit card. Love the direct deposit feature! Way less stressful than using a bank. Because you control the amount of cash on the card! No crazy overdraft penalty. Only negative is the maintenance fee. It can cause you to not have the funds you expected to have.

I think this card is awesome. I also started my daughters off with this card. I use it just like a bank account and the plus is getting paid two days early. I haven't quite figured out the cash back rewards yet but I do plan on working on my online access to get the full benefits from my Green Dot card!!! Thank you. Love my card!!!

Never had any issues with direct deposit or using for purchases!! Have had payroll direct deposited on my Green Dot card for at least 4 years+... Never had an issue with moving to a different job and changing information... Green Dot never missed a beat!!! I have recommended the card to several friends and family members! I will continue to use and recommend this card forever!

It's a little exorbitant to pay $7 a month when you are using your card a lot and paying to load money on to it. I will be not using mine so much in the future. The monthly charge should be assessed if you don't use your card regularly.

So far, I've had a wonderful experience with Green Dot. When I have had a problem, it has been promptly fixed. Customer service is speedy and very friendly. The only complaint I have is the monthly fees and the ATM fees. I direct deposit over $2k every month on the card. I feel like I shouldn't have to pay the monthly fee and that the ATM fee should be waived since I deposit so much on the card.

I need a new card. Unable to use my old card and I need to update my address. But I have had good experiences with Green Dot. My check arrive 2 days earlier. I just wish daily ATM withdrawal was more especially around tax refund checks.

In general, the Green Dot Card is great! It allows tracking of expenditures and is fast in posting transactions--a sometime problem for other cards I have used, so that almost in "real time" access to info is greatly appreciated. They do have some shortcomings though--the major one being a Maximum Daily Withdrawal Limit of ONLY $400.00?!? That is just too low in this day and age. I would expect and prefer at LEAST a $1000.00 per day withdrawal limit.

I felt that the customer service is lacking and at times the representatives are rude. I also find it hard to be able to update name changes. I have gotten married and I have to get a new account and with other companies all I have had to do is let them know and they have replaced my card and updated my information.

I love that it has an account number and routing number to avoid those extra charges for using a credit card. No overdraft fees, saving lots of money. Also, no holding of deposits for days like other banks do. Have never had a problem. I have called customer service for a question and they were very helpful.

I am very upset because: 1. Monthly fees when I had direct deposit. 2. When I changed jobs tried to use the photo check which was approved through your approval company that you list as Certegy and you denied the check. 3 The cashback option is useless. The customer service said they would refund my monthly charge one time and never did. So needless to say I am very dissatisfied with my Green Dot card.

I had a dispute for over $500, someone stole my information and robbed me. On vacation and I was told I allowed people to steal money from my account from the dispute team??? I was on vacation and depended on this money to stay at my hotel. I almost had to stay in the street because Green Dot did not feel the need to refund my money.

My account was compromised via several fake online transactions two different years. Every time I called, it took a lot of effort to speak to a human. Once I did, I received beyond poor customer service throughout the investigation process. There was also inconsistencies from different representatives as to the procedures. It took exactly one month to refund my account. I was also charged a monthly fee while the account was block and being investigated.

I don't mind the account or using the card. Been a customer for a while. Only thing that pisses me off... I got married and mailed 5 copies of marriage license to you to get an answer from you guys... Have to make a new account... so now I'm paying for two accounts. And only use one of them but still paying monthly fees. All you had to do was change the name... instead of charging me for two accounts.

I am not happy with how the deposit restriction are. It just become too inconvenient and you have to pay to put money in your card. I just hate paying to use your own money. Direct deposit is the only way to add money without paying a fee and then you have to use it to avoid a monthly fee.

My only issue is I was not notified that a monthly fee will be assessed then one day the fees just began... without Notice! Then when my children were given a card for Christmas as soon as it was activated you all assess a fee. That's not right. You charge to purchase then instantly take money from the card... And so we were unable to get cash back off the card. What once appeared to be a great company to me is not so good Now.

I use my card for all my purchases on and off line. Never had any issues. I like the fact that my direct deposits are posted a day early. Also I appreciate the alerts about possible delays in my pay due to holidays. The only issue I have is that on some of my receipts have my remaining account balance on them.

First let me start off by saying that I'm pretty happy with the card. It's done everything I've asked to do. What I'm not crazy about is that every time I put money on the card when I checked it says that it's pending. Why is it pending from putting cash on the card. I also don't like that all cards I'm not modernized. I wish it was a more secure card.

When I first got my Green Dot card and set up account it said I would not have to pay for anything. No monthly fee and one month after having and using my card it started to charge me a monthly fee and I'm not too happy with that. The only bad thing I have experienced since being with Green Dot is they when I try to log in my account online to check my transactions it says My password is incorrect so I reset it a million times and send my link to put a verification code to my email and every time it fails and says I have already used the one time code and honestly it is very frustrating that I have to go through this. I cannot log in my app for the same reason. I think people at Green Dot should really look into this glitch or there will be more unsatisfied customers. Besides that horrible glitch Green Dot has been good to me. Also wouldn't hurt to start a points program to earn money for using this service.

I had a dispute with money being withdrawn out of my account with my acknowledgement. I had to have my card suspended until I receive another card. I was upset because I had other bills to pay but I couldn't because my card was suspended. I wish I could have been able to get another card and added the money on that with some kind of security information to verify who I was.

I am very pleased with direct deposit timeliness. I am most frustrated that Uber Will Not Accept my Green Dot Card after accepting my previous card. I am very frustrated by the atm max daily withdrawal being only $200 when I need $390 to pay rent; and frustrated with atm + Green Dot fee, = $5.50, so it costs me $11/$400 withdrawal. I am very frustrated about not finding anywhere in Reno NV for free withdrawal of over $200. Thank you!

You charge $1.29 everytime I use my card and $3.50 for ATM fees. Maximum I'm allowed to withdraw is too low for the fees you charge. My H&R Block Emerald Card Is Better. Switching over as soon as tax season starts.

The only thing I would like from the text alerts is a more accurate amount. If I charge something at 7pm the next day I get an alert it still reflects what the amount was before that. Get a little quicker on the handle guys!!! :)

Green dot is a great product. I like that I can refill it at Dollar Tree stores. I use it for recurring charges to keep my regular bank account from overdraft charges (with Green dot if the money isn't there then nobody can grab it and charge me a fee). I also use it for my online purchases. With all the hacking going on I would rather expose my limited Green Dot information than all of my banking info. The only thing I wish you did was credit bureau reporting. I am working hard at fixing my credit and positive credit bureau reporting would make you guys a win, win, win situation for me.

I had gone to Sam's Club on New Year's eve and bought a camera. I get home and found the camera cheaper on Amazon, so I took the camera back. Knowing I was going to buy it online, I just had the refund placed on my Green Dot card. It seemed like all was accepted on the keypad as well as I checked my account online $606.78 was the balance on the card, it pended and went through in two days... Then I order the Amazon camera. I keep getting notifications that payment was declined so I called "customer service". This is where the wheels fall off. There is NO customer service. You call and get a person (sort of) more of a humanoid bot at one of many call centers that will not at all be of any help but will repeatedly bleat the same two phrases at you while doing nothing.
The security hold was placed on my card by Green Dot, I was not notified of the hold until I called days later. I never got an explanation why the hold was initiated, and without the original receipts I do not have, I will not get my money. I try to explain I do not have the receipts, but there is nobody to talk to that can relay this info to anyone important. A promised call from a supervisor will not come, no return emails... I have gone to the store repeatedly to get paperwork to prove my purchase. NOTHING... Green Dot stole $606.78. It is a very helpless feeling to watch your money disappear. Shame on WalMart for putting their names on this card. I felt safe dealing with this company because I thought it was backed by WalMart.

I've been very pleased with the card. I gave a duplicate card to my son in another city and make weekly payments to the card which he uses. Since these are bank drafts, the only charge I pay is $1.00 that the bank charges. When I want to transfer additional amounts to the card, I go to Walmart and debit my checking account for additional one time transfers. Walmart charges $3.00 plus tax for those transfers. This is much less than Western Union and mail costs for sending gift cards.

I recently had my card stolen and reported it to Green Dot. Everything was fine, ordered a new card, and was told to fill out a dispute form on the site. OK? Can someone please tell me where it is? I still haven't gotten my money back or any kind of decision on my claim. Was told it would take 7-10 days and I would get an email sent with the determination.

I've used my Green Dot card for has to be 3-4 years now and I love it! I was always skeptical of all these prepaid card companies that come out, and when I first got my Green Dot card I wasn't happy when I found out I couldn't take money off of it until my permanent card came with my name on it. (But that of course was my fault for not reading into it.) But since then I've never had an issue.
I currently use Green Dot for direct deposit and instead of getting paid on Fridays, I get paid Wednesday mornings. I love that they have the two goals you can reach and waive your monthly service charge by either using your card for purchases XXX amount of times or depositing xxx amount of $ in your account in a month. I haven't paid the monthly service fee in well over a year straight now.
They have a downloadable app just like any major bank would to make checking your balance or changing any information quick and easy. When your cards set to expire as long as your mailing address is correct they just mail you a new one with sufficient time before the old ones expired and if you happen to lose your card you can get a new one express shipped in one to two days for a small fee. You can also take a picture of checks with your phone to deposit into your account and you can wait or for a fee you can have the funds from that check immediately available. I love the fact that you can't do negative and dig yourself a joke. If you don't have enough you simply cannot use it.
It would be nice if existing card users could become VIP members. It aggravated me that I couldn't and I've been a loyal customer for years now and have recommended this card to countless friends and family. And also more card options. The plain gold one gets old. Other than that I have no complaints. I love this card and I will continue to use it. The complaints I've seen other people report have never happened to me. Customer service has always been helpful. Never nor answered my calls questions or concerns. Thanks for being reliable!

Love the early direct deposit. Knowing your deposit will come early helps take the pressure from trying to make it payday to payday. No fees. Makes it the smartest move I've ever made. I only wish I had done it sooner. Convenient and dependable.

I am very pleased with my Green Dot card. I use it for many things when I travel, vehicle maintenance, pay bills, etc. The online bill pay makes it easy to pay any bill or anyone plus I get paid 2 to 6 days early...

I was under the impression that if I kept a $1,000 monthly balance that the monthly fee would be waived. I am still being charged and I keep over $1,000 monthly balance. Is this true or not and if not where do I find this information? I know that I read it somewhere on some of the literature that I had for the Green Dot card.

I have used a Green Dot card for about 5 years now and have had nothing but positive experiences with them. I have had direct deposit of my payroll as well as my tax returns and it has always went seamlessly.

I was charged for a Walmart.com order I never made and was only given half the money back. I am still missing $134+ but was told it was denied. I talked to Walmart.com and they said I was suppose to get all the money back. I am very disappointed in the way the case was handled and will be looking for a different card company unless the money is returned to my card.
