    I like that we get our checks faster, there is no hassle from a bank, no overdraft fees, with direct deposit of 1000.00 or more the fees are waived. This card is simple to use and simple to reload if you need to add extra money on to the card. I like that I can chat instead of calling. The only complaint that I would have is sometimes when I do call in it is hard to understand the operator. But other than that it is a great card and excellent customer service.

    I have a love hate relationship with Green Dot. My biggest complaint is the re-load fee and then the $7.95 monthly fee on top of it. So if I reload at WalMart 3 times in one month, and I pay the monthly fee, I am out almost $20. I almost wonder if it's just cheaper to buy a brand new card and reload it instead of having a personalized card where I am stuck with the $7.95 monthly fee.

    I think the Green Dot card is a great card to have. It's fast and convenient and you don't ever have to worry about going over your limit. Reloading the card is very easy to do also. I had a problem once where my card was used but not by me. I think it got skimmed while I was in the grocery store.     For the option of slide for balance needs some adjustments because the only way to keep accurate count is by logging in to refresh your balance so it defeats the purpose of having the quick slide account balance. Also sometimes the monthly waiver doesn't apply even though I did reach the $1000 limit and the ads just take you straight to another ad screen. They never actually turn out being the right ads.

    Satisfied... could be better. The rewards program should not be based on the amount of months you have to pay the fee. At least not in my opinion... If you spend the amount of money in a year, you should be eligible for the reward. If you consistently use your card, you should be eligible for the reward. It doesn't seem fair that you have to pay $120 to get a reward of $100.

    I prefer to use my Amex prepaid more than Green Dot because Green Dot has too many fees. I get charged a monthly fee and I get charged to put money on my card and Green Dot has a minimum amount I am allowed to reload my card. With my Amex prepaid I have no monthly fee, no reload fees or minimum amount to reload my card with. I would use my Green Dot more if I didn't get charged to use my own money because some places don't accept American Express but Green Dot does not have the same benefits as my Bluebird.

My only complaint is that the customer service personnel need more training and were more open to questions that consumers need answers to.     Well I've been with Green Dot for quite some time and I've always had to complain about them taking the money out of my account for monthly fees when clearly states if you have so much in your account per month monthly fees will be waived. If you have direct deposit from an employer or Social Security it will be waived. For quite some time you guys have been taking the money.

    Just recently I had 30 something dollars in my account for maintenance fees but it was the point of just calling and when I spoke with the lady several times it was always a woman. They always told me it didn't matter so I actually stopped using it for quite some time and went to a Walmart card which is still owned and operated by Green Dot but it was a premium card. Long as I got a direct deposit it didn't give me fees. But I recently went back to your card original Green Dot card if you guys give me the feedback but it's still just the point. Other than that I have absolutely no complaints taking these one since I've used it with a direct deposit. I believe it's a direct deposit of $1,000 in a month.

    I questioned the availability of a deposit. It had already been 3 days. The NFCU said Green Dot had the money. When I questioned CS, I was told another 3-4 days. I was at work and couldn't talk any longer. When I tried calling back, the automated voice would ask if it was concerning the same subject. When said yes, it would say GOODBYE and hang up. I tried no and was still hung up on. No personal CS anymore. That is NOT good CUSTOMER SERVICE, l know because I am in CS. For this alone I wouldn't recommend Green Dot. I have had my account for 5-6 years and haven't had one perk, unless I deposit over a certain amount.

    My suggestion, if a card seems to be compromised or a card is reported lost or stolen, why not verify that the info is true before issuing a new card as the info may not be correct. I experienced this, apparently there was a fraudulent charge trying to be done on my card from Amazon, and Green Dot compromised the card which was fine, but at least let the customer know what you are doing so they don't panic and think that someone has stolen their identity. Just let the customer know that you are replacing their card and why. Thanks.

    I've never had any major issues with GD. One of the two issues I've had is: the black card has good features but cheaply made. It's peeling all around, because I actually use it. And for a replacement, they close down the card and you have to wait like a week. So I'd be without my card for too long. The second: some gas station self-service areas just won't take it. I have to go inside for them to run it. But that's it. All in all, a pretty decent card and service.

    I love that you waive monthly fees if you deposit so much. But the fees to use outside network ATMs are ridiculous but I understand this is a business and you need to make money. Perhaps implement a system with a certain amount of monthly out of network ATM uses with no fees. And your dispute system is lacking. I have to fill out a form that basically shuts my card off. That doesn't help with reoccurring charges that I have no agrees to. I don't want to have to get a new card just to stop them, it's an inconvenience.

    My experience with Green Dot has been pretty well. I didn't expect it to be as good as it is so far. I did however have a bad experience where my information was compromised and money was used from my account. I was very upset because I had a hard time speaking with a live representative that knew about my account. Every time I would call the number on the card or off the web I would get a automated system and the call would hang up. In the end which didn't take very long at all about 10 business days my money was refunded as promised. I would like for the Green Dot app to more detail of transactions such as time of transaction and also have a search for transaction option.

    I use the Green Dot everyday for many transactions and have been able to use my bank statement from Green Dot to purchase a vehicle. It was a bit hard because the statement needed to be printed out with my name on it and the phone app does not have that option but after a little talk with a representative they guided through the online site to get the proper statement print out I need worked just fine. I enjoy having a Green Dot bank card with all the benefits of leading banks besides loans. Another thing that can be a bit frustrated is when I have to get a new card due to loss or worn. I have to pay for quick delivery due to the fact that you can only get a new card by mail and you cannot touch your money until the new card arrives which could take a week maybe more depending...So my rate is 4 stars for Green Dot. Hope to see more updates to better convince and options.

    I do like the use of the Green Dot card...but the maintenance fee gets me all the time. I know it's a fee for using the card but that is the only downside to me of the card. I wish that it was lower to none for it's my own money going on the card and when I reload it I already have to spend an extra 5 dollars to load it so with the other fee it's around 12 dollars a month or more that I have to spend into it. Other than that I do love the card and the use of it. What I would love to see is perks for having the card and keeping it in good standings.

    Green Dot Mastercard needs to lower their minimum loading fee (the amount the user puts on their card) from $20 to $5 for people who receives government benefits. Other than the balance on the card, Green Dot needs to get rid of the automated system and blow their competition out of the water for good. The reloading should be only $1 on top the loading fee for the government benefits user no matter where the user goes to load their card. The vip benefits fee needs to be lower from $4.95 a month to $2.49 a month with the exact same benefits for the government benefits vip user & the minimum purchase amount in order not to get charged. The monthly maintenance fee should be reduced from 30 to 15 for the government benefits user.

    The monthly maintenance fee should be reduced from $7.95 a month to $2.49 per month without the 15 minimum monthly purchases for the government benefits. Worker paycheck fee should remain the same as they are now except the minimum loading fee for them should be reduced from $20 to $10 & the reloading fee (as stated above) should be one set price no matter where the worker paycheck user goes to load their Green Dot Mastercard & should be $5. The vip benefits with the exact same benefits they get now should be $5 per month. If Green Dot Mastercard did even one of these suggestions, they will blow their competition out of the ball park by a landslide.     I am satisfied with my service of my card. There are 2 things that really disappointed me with my account. I have two cards to the same account and I lost one of the cards on the account. I could not cancel the 1 lost card, I would have had to cancel both, which then I would have no access to the money in my account. Second, I became a VIP customer just to get the black, carbon fiber looking card. Once I enrolled in VIP they said that they could not send me one. Lastly, the balance check by sliding bottom row of the app is only updated if you log in. What's the point of having that option if you have to log in for it to update.

    I use my card to buy online and pay bills online. This makes me more comfortable than using my credit card because I only load the amount that I need for that moment so if someone hacks my card [God forbid] then they're not going to get much and if they do hack it, it won't be as big a deal to cancel it as it would be to cancel my credit card. I only wish the monthly fee wasn't so high. It's quite a bit, for me, seeing how many times I load my card and have to pay for that plus the monthly fee, but right now it's good for me and my situation.     My issue is with purchasing items. I was recently denied a purchase because it wasn't considered a checking account. It has a checking account number and a routing number. Why is this not considered a checking account? Prepaid account is what they called it. All bank accounts are prepaid.

    GreenDot has responded to me and I am totally happy because they issued me $15 credits to my GreenDot card! Now I understand what card I have to get in order to avoid the $2.50 ATM charge. I love green. The only thing you have to do is make sure you understand all the fees and surcharges in your agreement and if you have any concerns confront GreenDot and they will make it right!

    For the most part I am extremely happy with Green Dot however whenever I go to the MoneyPass ATM I am continually charge $2.50 and this happens twice a month. That's $5. Over the last 6 months I figured I would at least 30 to $50. I'm tired of beating my head against the wall and asking to get reimbursed. If there's something you can do I will be happy to stay but I'm really getting tired of it. MoneyPass ATM at Wawa in Malaga New Jersey is listed as acceptable MoneyPass and I continually get charged.

    I have had no problems with card but the alerts of balance need improvement. Will get an alert that direct deposit was received followed by a daily balance alert of amount prior to deposit. Also, website can't verify my email due to it never sends message. Would also like if you are a person who has routine monthly direct deposits should be able to add more than $500 without added costs every $500. I understand if I was using card rarely or occasionally but if a daily user and direct deposit of more than $2000 a month every month for several years should account for more than just waiving monthly fee. But I will continue using your service either way. Just don't put as much on card as I would if didn't occur that fee every $500.

    I love getting my direct deposit two days earlier than regular banks. And the fees are really low. I love the convenience of easy reloads. I wish I could get a new design on the card though. I also love that you can use the card at any location that uses Visa. And you can use the card online and at Redbox.

    Send money feature by email does not work, and my husband and I prefer to use the email method because we are not always near our cell phones. Please fix this. I have called about this before and the only solution I've been given is to try again.
