I like that we get our checks faster, there is no hassle from a bank, no overdraft fees, with direct deposit of 1000.00 or more the fees are waived. This card is simple to use and simple to reload if you need to add extra money on to the card. I like that I can chat instead of calling. The only complaint that I would have is sometimes when I do call in it is hard to understand the operator. But other than that it is a great card and excellent customer service.

I have a love hate relationship with Green Dot. My biggest complaint is the re-load fee and then the $7.95 monthly fee on top of it. So if I reload at WalMart 3 times in one month, and I pay the monthly fee, I am out almost $20. I almost wonder if it's just cheaper to buy a brand new card and reload it instead of having a personalized card where I am stuck with the $7.95 monthly fee.

I made a payment to my car dealer. I received an email saying my payment went through then 10 days later I got a call saying my payment was declined. So there's money out there I'm missing. I'm very disappointed with this. Maybe getting a lawyer to look into this matter.

Green dot has provided me with a service while in between bank accounts. It allows me the ability to not overdraft my account. I will say that the customer service department isn't very helpful, but I've been pleased otherwise.

I am pretty pleased with my Green Dot card. The customer service is 2nd to none and I really appreciate that. I do wish the card could be used at the pump instead of having to go inside all the time when getting gas. If there is a way to make that happen, it would be PERFECT!

I think the Green Dot card is a great card to have. It's fast and convenient and you don't ever have to worry about going over your limit. Reloading the card is very easy to do also. I had a problem once where my card was used but not by me. I think it got skimmed while I was in the grocery store. Green Dot took care of the issue in a timely fashion and gave me all the money back that was used.

I really like the online banking. Since I'm on a limited income, it makes very easy for me to know where I'm at. I also like that my S.S. checks are always there. I don't have to worry about them being taken from my mailbox.

For the most part it has been great. I just don't like the policy about when and how things get credited back to your card if a mistake is made. Some of the customer service reps need to learn English more fluently.

Green Dot is excellent... But I never received my cash back for the months I used the card??? I would definitely recommend it to a friend... I already got my mother and sister hooked to Green Dot! It saves time and money. My direct deposit was on my card 2 days early.

For the option of slide for balance needs some adjustments because the only way to keep accurate count is by logging in to refresh your balance so it defeats the purpose of having the quick slide account balance. Also sometimes the monthly waiver doesn't apply even though I did reach the $1000 limit and the ads just take you straight to another ad screen. They never actually turn out being the right ads.

Satisfied... could be better. The rewards program should not be based on the amount of months you have to pay the fee. At least not in my opinion... If you spend the amount of money in a year, you should be eligible for the reward. If you consistently use your card, you should be eligible for the reward. It doesn't seem fair that you have to pay $120 to get a reward of $100.

I prefer to use my Amex prepaid more than Green Dot because Green Dot has too many fees. I get charged a monthly fee and I get charged to put money on my card and Green Dot has a minimum amount I am allowed to reload my card. With my Amex prepaid I have no monthly fee, no reload fees or minimum amount to reload my card with. I would use my Green Dot more if I didn't get charged to use my own money because some places don't accept American Express but Green Dot does not have the same benefits as my Bluebird.

As a card holder for almost 3 years I am satisfied with service. Only thing is I can't change my address on the website... As for the fees I am a VIP card holder but somehow fees vary. But other than that I'm satisfied.

I think green dot was the best decision I've made when it comes down to prepaid debit/credit card. I love that I get my paycheck a day before pay day and anytime I have a problem with my account they are on top of it ASAP. Thanks Green dot.

I like the card. It helps overspending. I don't have it, I can't spend it. Things usually work terrific if I don't have to call customer service. That is usually very excruciatingly painful. The fact that you started putting my paycheck through a day earlier is a very nice bonus and made me give you an extra star.

I did not enjoy all the fees. Not too happy. Monthly fee 7.95 took my last. $2.50 fees every time was awful. I don't make enough for those fees. You all took extra money outside of what at charges and that was not something that worked in my favor either.

I have had my direct deposit account open for nearly 5 years and have not had a bad experience. My only complaint is that the customer service personnel need more training and were more open to questions that consumers need answers to. It took me 3 years of calling to get help with resetting my settings for online account management. No one would help me resolve my issue until finally a few months ago I found an associate that would help.

Direct depositing my payroll check was easy and convenient. I even got it 2 days sooner. I got cash backs rewards for money I'm already spending. Having the app on my phone make it easy and fast checking my balance and making sure my deposit was there.

I have had very good contact with you and all of the staff that I have meet. Mine wife and I have enjoyed every time we have had to contact you. Having the account has been a joy. If you are going to add any new stuff that will make the card even better, please let me know because I would like that.

I think that if someone has been with a bank for 5 plus years should get some kind of credit line or a overdraft especially when direct deposit and should be no limit on what you can take out of atm on daily limit. Other than that love that I get paid a few days faster.

There is a block in my card. I never put it on the card to begin with. Now I am unable to get it to unblock. Really could use some help. I could really use some help with this issue. Can't seem to get a hold of a person to help me. I have called the number and it just keeps repeating itself.

Well I've been with Green Dot for quite some time and I've always had to complain about them taking the money out of my account for monthly fees when clearly states if you have so much in your account per month monthly fees will be waived. If you have direct deposit from an employer or Social Security it will be waived. For quite some time you guys have been taking the money.

My experience with Green Dot has been great, but the thing I don't like is that there is a maintenance fee every month. As a client I feel that is not fair to have a fee every month because they don't know if the person is well economically.

Green Dot card is great. My pay is direct deposited to my card and I get it a day earlier! I'm very happy Green Dot has re-activated the reload cards. This helps so much when my children need money. They all use Green Dot. I highly recommend Green Dot!

Trying to transfer funds from my direct deposit Green Dot card to another Green Dot card. But the direct deposit is excellent, on time and easy. Need an easier way to get a new card when the old one is damaged. Don't see why you have to freeze the account while waiting on your new card.

Green Dot has been the easiest and most inexpensive card I've ever had. Direct deposit is the best feature by far and access to cash is super easy as well. Wish my account had picture check deposit though. Love my VIP membership!!!

My experience with using my Green Dot card has been a great way for me to pay my bills and keep in contact with loved ones. It's convenient. Reload locations are accessible and the fee is very reasonable. I love that it is accepted in many locations.

I questioned the availability of a deposit. It had already been 3 days. The NFCU said Green Dot had the money. When I questioned CS, I was told another 3-4 days. I was at work and couldn't talk any longer. When I tried calling back, the automated voice would ask if it was concerning the same subject. When said yes, it would say GOODBYE and hang up. I tried no and was still hung up on. No personal CS anymore. That is NOT good CUSTOMER SERVICE, l know because I am in CS. For this alone I wouldn't recommend Green Dot. I have had my account for 5-6 years and haven't had one perk, unless I deposit over a certain amount.

I wish the service fee was lower. $8.00 a month is kind of steep. Why can't it be $5. When I have short paychecks it hurts. Please try to see to lower the fee to $5. Or at least a minimum of 15 purchases on the card or $500. Pleeeease.

My suggestion, if a card seems to be compromised or a card is reported lost or stolen, why not verify that the info is true before issuing a new card as the info may not be correct. I experienced this, apparently there was a fraudulent charge trying to be done on my card from Amazon, and Green Dot compromised the card which was fine, but at least let the customer know what you are doing so they don't panic and think that someone has stolen their identity. Just let the customer know that you are replacing their card and why. Thanks.

Don't really think that Green Dot staff know what they are doing because they let my card get hit after it was cancelled and I had a positive balance when this happened. And now I am negative 29.67 and I want resolved so if they can't take care of this then I will cancel my card for good.

I have been with Green Dot for about 4 years and they have been wonderful to me. I never have problems and if I do, Green Dot fixes it without any problems. If I had to recommend Green Dot to anyone I would. They are secure, caring, and dependable. Thank you Green Dot!!!

I am very happy with Green Dot, except for the time that it takes for them to post returns or credits back to my acct. Even after the vendor shows proof that they have paid or refunded money back to acct. It takes Green Dot a number of additional days to post it back to my available balance. In my opinion it should not take more than 24 hours max.

Credit card was very misleading. Threw it away. Unlike other cards they match your amount so our approved for 1000.00 is not all our money. I'm thinking of change debit card and all over this misleading deal due to lack of trust now.

Have no problems. Green Dot is great card to have. Customer service is always helpful. I would not go back to having a bank account ever again. I have had card for a couple of years now and really like it. I even have direct deposit with no problems.

I like how I am able to get the direct deposit 2 days ahead, and how easy it is to use. Adding money to the card at a cheaper price is a nice feature to have as well. I like having a whole month to use my card so I don't get charged a maintenance fee. I do think the maintenance fee is a little too high.

I've never had any major issues with GD. One of the two issues I've had is: the black card has good features but cheaply made. It's peeling all around, because I actually use it. And for a replacement, they close down the card and you have to wait like a week. So I'd be without my card for too long. The second: some gas station self-service areas just won't take it. I have to go inside for them to run it. But that's it. All in all, a pretty decent card and service.

I like the peace of mind aspect of no overdraft fees. Also no monthly fees for monthly fee deposits over $1000, but I am irritated by the atm fees. The cost of getting cash may cause me to find alternatives for payroll deposits. Getting paid two days earlier is a big plus.

I really like the way things work with the card other than the fee I have to pay every time I need to add money to the card and I don't want to do direct deposit into the card. Since it's my money, I don't feel I should be charged to put money on my own card.

Happy with the card as well but every time I try to go online there issues and have called several times and get some who I don't think understands what I am trying to do. All I want is to set up online acct and have direct deposit and still have no online access.

I love my card -- cost effective for a senior. One issue: some retail outlets use overseas companies for their point of sale and then the card cannot be used. Discovered this with FedEx computer terminals only - card CAN be used at the front counter. Otherwise my experience is great!

The card is great, I love it. Customer support was great also. I have direct deposit which helps greatly and the ATM where I work doesn't charge a fee when I use it. Had it a year almost and not one problem.

I'm doing my best but sometimes I use the card and maybe 8 days later the money is off my card. Then sometimes it's less than a day. I don't understand what is going on. It has gotten worse this year 2017.

I think the Green Dot is good overall. Should have overdraft with cards that's enrolled in direct deposit. Also on paydays the money use to come by 12pm Eastern Standard Time. Now it's comes at 4 or 5pm sometimes 6. That needs to be fixed.

Monthly fee outrageous! Too much to load money. Met the cash back reward within a couple months of having the card, can't claim it for a year. Maybe put a higher amount for reward or maybe make it biannually. Customer service is not helpful when called.

I feel that you should be able to use the rewards before a year. I had my full amount since the first month and way deposit more than the thousand needed. I think maybe let us use it in six months instead.

Worst customer service ever. Difficult to speak to a human. When you do, everyone speaks broken English. My card info was stolen on 12/9. I called to report the transactions that were not mine. I emailed requested documents 3 times. Still no replacement card or money refunded on 1/12. Condescending staff. Not helpful in any way. Put your money in a local bank!

I have been using Green Dot for about 6 years now and have been satisfied with the experience. I use Green Dot for all my online purchases, so the most an ID thief could take me for is the $500 I load each time. All online merchants have taken the card without incident, and refunds and credits have gone through with no problems. My only issue is the increases in the monthly fee, especially since I pay to add funds to the card. I would (and have) recommend Green Dot to my friends and family.

Fantastic VIP customer service all around. Replacement card arrived fast. This instance was the third time my card has been hacked in 2 years. I think a little better monitoring of where transactions are coming from may actually help impact some of this fraud currently being perpetrated. This last time someone was actually hacking my card while I was on the phone with customer service. I'm wondering if there was some kind of data breach that has failed to be recorded or looked into on a larger scale?

Outstanding customer service. Anytime we have questions or need information the Green Dot team have been accommodating. Our card was compromised and we received an unauthorized charge. Within days we had a full refund. Even though it was a small amount, we were pleased with the process.

I was very put off by the fact that this once convenient and useful card is no longer being accepted at many places. Was not notified of the change and embarrassed in line for the decline. Now you are telling me how many words to write in a complaint.

The only bad experience I've had with Green Dot was in the beginning when someone stole my card number, but other than that it was fixed and I couldn't be any happier now with Green Dot! It would be great though to have a lower fee for keeping it because if it wasn't for my direct deposit I don't know I could keep Green Dot.

I am happy with the services that Green Dot provides. The only complaints I would say is that I hate you all got rid of the Green Dot loadable cards. It's hard to have some send you money if you are out of town and they don't have a Green Dot card to transfer. So please rethink about bringing the reloadable cards back.

I have truly enjoyed having my GreenDot Card. I just couldn't use it with Uber car. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a free app that keeps your account safe. I use direct deposit also. I always avoid all fees.

I wish the monthly fee was $5.99 and I don't have to wait a whole year for my cash back. I feel that cash back should be available anytime after 90 days especially with direct deposit. I love that I get my check early and the every day balance text. I have no other complaint.

I have been happy with the service so far. But if you try to take a picture of a check for a deposit, forget it. They deny the check except a personal check which I don’t understand. It’s ok for a prepaid card. I just wish you could do more like other banks.

I have nothing but great things to say about Green Dot. I have recommended your service to just about anyone who ask. I have basically been with Green Dot since they introduced themselves to the public. In the beginning there were problems but overtime they have gotten better including customer service. From protection from fraud to having my card stolen Green Dot fixed my problem and various other issues. Green Dot is better than any debit card on the market. I wish they had or allowed small business to receive a debit card because I would most certainly get one for my business. That way I can keep my regular bank card from being stolen.

Every time I call I haven't been able to talk to any agents to talk to. Just automated system. Like last month I had questions about how much money was on my card and I had questions about some charges on my card but couldn't talk to anyone to help me.

This is the best card I have ever had! I recommend it to everyone. I've never had a problem with it. Both my Aunts use it and they are very happy with it too. It's amazing! I use at least 5 times a day. I get paid at least 2 days before everyone else at my work. I have nothing to complain about.

I have called and wrote about raising the amount of $400 a day withdrawal and still it is the same. I guess my only option is to stop using Green Dot and use another if I can't get it changed. Besides that everything has been great.

This is a great card to have. I have enjoyed having easy access to the card and the money I have available. Customer is always friendly and knowledgeable if any issues or concerns should arise. I enjoy the convenience of not having to worry about overdraft fee and with the VIP membership, I also do not have to worry about ATM fees either.

Green Dot is a terrific place to do business with. I haven't had any problem with them. If money is taken out of my account, I get it back, so I can't explain. I really enjoy Green Dot. I have been a member for about 7 years. I really love this debit card, it's the best. The only one I have.

I love that you waive monthly fees if you deposit so much. But the fees to use outside network ATMs are ridiculous but I understand this is a business and you need to make money. Perhaps implement a system with a certain amount of monthly out of network ATM uses with no fees. And your dispute system is lacking. I have to fill out a form that basically shuts my card off. That doesn't help with reoccurring charges that I have no agrees to. I don't want to have to get a new card just to stop them, it's an inconvenience.

I don't think it's right that you all charge so much for a monthly fee. I think it's way too much. Charging your customers because we don't make enough purchases... y'all should really remove that fee. Otherwise than that I like the service you all provide.

I have had a wonderful experience with Green Dot. I would recommend it to anyone. I've only had one issue with my card and when I called to have it fixed. The customer service was helpful and had my issue fixed in a timely manner. I will keep using my services.

Green Dot was very quick to help stop action on my account I did not authorize. I had a new card, within days someone try to use my card for purchases. Green Dot stopped it, closed the account and issued me a new account and card. This was the second time I needed help and they went out of their way.

I love having this card. I only wish I could load more than $500 at a time on the card instead of having to pay two fees for any amount over that. I also wish the maximum amount on the card could be higher. Otherwise, I use this card everywhere I go. It helps to keep within my budgets.

Loaded $235 on my card. Paying $240 at store = $5fee to load card. However only $219 was available to pay a bill?? What happened to the missing $16?? I tried to register my card on the mobile app. It doesn't recognize the card with my pin or ss#. It's very aggravating to say the least!

I have been a Green Dot member for a lot of years. Customer support is awesome! They always resolve the problems right away. They are always very respectful. The card itself work great. I have yet to use the direct deposit feature. Thumbs up!

Decided to rent car for trip. Hertz put a hold of $550.00. Took 4 weeks to return after payment was made, was not told that it would be charged again for the amount that was actually charged. Felt like was being disrespected as the money was mine and not a credit card. Why 4 weeks to hold the money?

Green Dot is a great prepaid service. I love it, you get paid 2 days early. The only thing I don't like it take too long for a replacement card. But other than that it's great card you have. I've been with them for years.

Every time I try and use the mobile app it will not enter me to reset my password. It's been months. If not fixed, will switch to another company. Not very happy with Green Dot. Will go with American Express if not fixed ASAP. Hurts for me to do that.

I really like this card and the usage. The one thing I would like is not getting charged fees for using an ATM. Not a fan of not being easily able to go to any bank ATM for cash. I also thought that I got direct deposit I didn't have to pay a monthly fee.

My experience with Green Dot has been pretty well. I didn't expect it to be as good as it is so far. I did however have a bad experience where my information was compromised and money was used from my account. I was very upset because I had a hard time speaking with a live representative that knew about my account. Every time I would call the number on the card or off the web I would get a automated system and the call would hang up. In the end which didn't take very long at all about 10 business days my money was refunded as promised. I would like for the Green Dot app to more detail of transactions such as time of transaction and also have a search for transaction option.

I enjoy the convenience of Green Dot. Thank you for easy reload at the Dollar Tree and easy app for Green Dot to use on my phone. The easy access to my money as well as security of my money is awesome. The 2.50 fees for a account review from an atm is on the high side when I need a balance print out or cash withdrawal when I load my card with cash and need cash. I don't like to be financially punished for access to my own money.

I really enjoy paying my bills with my Green Dot debit card. However, I forget that a monthly fee comes out and I seem to forget and I short a bill payment every now and then. My car payment I was short .04 of making my bi-weekly payment. It's aggravating but I need to keep closer watch. Other than that I really enjoy being in charge of my money instead of the banks.

I hate how it locks me out my account for 24 hours if I reset my app or phone. That just need to be fix. You also need to tell me how to use my cash back because when I go on there they tell me to look at direct deposit and that doesn't help me one bit. Can I use that money or do you take it out my account?

I have no complaints about Green Dot. It's extremely easy to use and convenient. I like not having to have a bank account and having to balance a checking account. I can check my balance as often as I want to know my balance. Easy peasy. I the convenience of e-chat customer service too.

Have no problems except some businesses will not accept the card since it is not bank owned. Otherwise, no problems. Have been happy with the service. Switched from a bank checking account to Green Dot and have had no compromises with my account as I did with the bank.

I really enjoy their online features where I am able to track my card purchases, see my balance and so much more. Also with Green Dot they really try to protect your money so I never really worry about my card getting hacked.

I do like the use of the Green Dot card...but the maintenance fee gets me all the time. I know it's a fee for using the card but that is the only downside to me of the card. I wish that it was lower to none for it's my own money going on the card and when I reload it I already have to spend an extra 5 dollars to load it so with the other fee it's around 12 dollars a month or more that I have to spend into it. Other than that I do love the card and the use of it. What I would love to see is perks for having the card and keeping it in good standings.

I absolutely love my Green Dot card. It gives me the option of getting my direct deposit two days early. One thing I just wish there were more ways to earn extra money. Also I would like the option of the monthly fee being waived if you deposit a certain amount every month.

Green Dot Mastercard needs to lower their minimum loading fee (the amount the user puts on their card) from $20 to $5 for people who receives government benefits. Other than the balance on the card, Green Dot needs to get rid of the automated system and blow their competition out of the water for good. The reloading should be only $1 on top the loading fee for the government benefits user no matter where the user goes to load their card. The vip benefits fee needs to be lower from $4.95 a month to $2.49 a month with the exact same benefits for the government benefits vip user & the minimum purchase amount in order not to get charged. The monthly maintenance fee should be reduced from 30 to 15 for the government benefits user.

I recommend Green Dot! You guys are great. Haven't had a problem with my account at all. Keeps my money safe & my direct deposit always comes in time. I love that we have an application as well. I keep track of my balance and I can keep track of what I bought.

I think they need a cash advance program for account holders with direct deposit so if you don't have money they would advance you a amount till next payday. It would be a good thing for people who don't want a bank account so I'm satisfied with service.

Favorite thing about Green Dot card is that I get my direct deposit 2 days early. Never had a problem. Customer service is good. Customer service reps are always willing to help whenever they can. I will continue to use them all the time.

I was not able to rent a car at the airports or hotels. For the other hand everything was ok. I won't need It anymore. Was very useful but I cannot use it out of the country. I really recommend it to people with no bank accounts.

I love Green Dot because if the funds are not allowed you don't let the transaction go through. And there is no overages charges. It is very convenient for me to add the funds to the card as needed. There are numerous places where you can add funds to your account. The only thing is the fee to add the funds some places require only a $500.00 limit for one transaction and then you have to add additional funds with another transaction fee.

I had an issues with a mobile deposit with a personal check that never cleared. When I went to the bank branch, I was informed that check was cleared on their end and was not in my account. Other than that I have been satisfied with my card, my account and service with Green Dot.

Gives me temp password but won't let me reset password. Can't get balance online or text alerts and can't go online. Won't let me access account. Can't get anyone on the phone to take my call. If someone from the Green Dot team can reach out to me I would gratefully appreciate it to the highest at **.

I just wish that there was a easier way to locate free ATMs... When you text ATM help it will text a location but needs to be more detailed information On the exact location. The consumer who is not familiar with the locations will have a hard time finding the location.

I absolutely love Green Dot! I get my check direct deposit with them as well as my tax refund and it always hits a day early! Been using this company for 3 years now and I've never had a problem. Great card company.

You guys are great. Other than after I lost my first card the problem I went through getting a second card was a big hassle, I have had nothing but good words to say about Green Dot and yes I would recommend it to all my friends.

I had trouble with my card and you all took of it well but you need to do it faster. It can keep going when it is taking money off the card. You can send out text when a limit is done like $100 or more at one time or lower. Thanks for helping me out with my card. Job well done.

Love this card. The only issue I have is the cost to reload but even that isn't that big of a deal. I love the safety of using this card when I make purchases online. I use this card as my "FUN MONEY" card. My other bank card is used primarily for household expenses. This card is used for anything I want to do outside of household things. I like to buy things online and am a product tester for a major online retailer. I still have to purchase items but at a 90 percent reduced rate. I love knowing that using this card keeps my household money safe and sound. I don't know that there is anything bad I can say about using this from the moment I purchased it up to now. I will always use this card and have told others about the value of having this too. HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who buys online or travels.

I would have rated my experience 5 stars but I can't use the online portion. I can't pull up my account and check anything because it tells me my info is wrong. I hit the button to reset it and it never would let me reset it. I tried calling and still was not able to get any help. I'd really like to be able to review my transactions so I can be sure everything is correct! Other than that I love the ease of having direct deposit and paying my bills with the card!

I love being Green Dot. It's really easy and great to use and have without being with an actual bank. But I have one thing that I am not too happy about. I feel like if I lose or stolen or if my account is closed due to fraud I shouldn't have to pay $15 for my new card to be here faster. Everyone nowadays pay with their card over the phone or online so I understand the business days as well but people really need their cards. If you can express people card without a fee I'm sure a lot of customers would be happy. But other than this Green Dot is great!

I'm Having a great experience using my Green Dot money card. My direct deposit is applied early Thursday morning and you can use it practically anywhere. I was also approved for a Green Dot secured credit card that will help me boost my credit score.

I am satisfied with my service of my card. There are 2 things that really disappointed me with my account. I have two cards to the same account and I lost one of the cards on the account. I could not cancel the 1 lost card, I would have had to cancel both, which then I would have no access to the money in my account. Second, I became a VIP customer just to get the black, carbon fiber looking card. Once I enrolled in VIP they said that they could not send me one. Lastly, the balance check by sliding bottom row of the app is only updated if you log in. What's the point of having that option if you have to log in for it to update.

Green Dot is excellent in allowing me to manage my funds hassle-free. I have the freedom to access my money when I need it no matter where I am. Today I am current on all my bills, thank you Green Dot. :)

I have had the Green Dot debit card for many years and would not have any other. It meets all my needs and I really like the direct deposit arrangements (getting funds 2 days earlier). Love my Green Dot!! Would recommend Green Dot to all my family and friends.

I love my card. Just wished certain customers after a certain period of time, the fee would be waived. Other than that, I like it even though there is things I can do to waive the fee but the fee to $3.95 and $4.95 when I put money on my card 2 to 3 times a week. I'm putting over $50 in fees just to use it, that I could use it toward an important bill.

I had a new card sent out to me on Nov of 2016. The magnet strip was not working. As I called to ask for a replacement not only I was told that I would be charged for a new card but they would deactivate my current card until I received a new one. Meanwhile I could not use it for any transaction or pull money out until I received my new card. What could someone do without any funds on hand especially when you count on your funds to feed my kids and my family? So I need to know what other choices I have. Concerned card holder!

I have had nothing but good experiences with Green Dot! If I ever had any questions or concerns it was always resolved. I have never had any problem as far as my money not being there. Not only was it there it is usually early!

Monthly fees are too much. It was $6.96 and they went up to $7.95. I think Green Dot should go down on their fees per month for loyal customers. I have been with this company for a long time. That monthly fee is a lot, if at least reward loyal customers with the black card for the $7.95 fee.

I use my card to buy online and pay bills online. This makes me more comfortable than using my credit card because I only load the amount that I need for that moment so if someone hacks my card [God forbid] then they're not going to get much and if they do hack it, it won't be as big a deal to cancel it as it would be to cancel my credit card. I only wish the monthly fee wasn't so high. It's quite a bit, for me, seeing how many times I load my card and have to pay for that plus the monthly fee, but right now it's good for me and my situation. I love being able to load it at Dollar General. It's more convenient for me than going to Walmart. I pass a million Dollar Generals to and from work.

I appreciate this card. I use for my shopping but I don't like monthly payments while I paid money loading card. After that you take every month. It's good if takes once a month not every time when I load money. Then it will be nice. Thanks.

The new monthly is way too high. Along with the reload fee it's a lot of money. Would like to see monthly taken away. Also would like to see a higher amount you can reload. Sometimes I have to make 2 transactions and that's another fee.

The monthly fees are very high and the locations for free ATMs on the app is wrong when it comes to some of the free ATMs. Aside from that, I do love my Green Dot card. It has been very convenient in many situations. I use it as a bank account and to pay bills. It is then that it is very useful.

I think your $7.95 fee is excessive and I also think a person should be able to load more than $500 in one transaction. I will probably be shopping for a different card to use in the future since the fees are so high.

When I got my card I was told that I would not have a reload fee at Walmart. I have gone to a Walmart twice now and reloaded my card and was charged a reload fee each time. You will see these fees on my card statement. I chose Green Dot precisely for this service. I am upset by this and considering closing the card.

Still have not received my personalized card yet after having my card for almost two months. And no place on app to contact customer service about. Have tried calling but never get in touch with live operator.

I have been very happy with my Green Dot card, for the most part. However, an improvement would be welcomed with the Deposit feature on the app. I think I have only had 1 out of 5 or 6 checks actually accepted using this feature. This inability to deposit checks would be the only reason that I would consider changing my "bank" to a traditional bank. Thank you.

My issue is with purchasing items. I was recently denied a purchase because it wasn't considered a checking account. It has a checking account number and a routing number. Why is this not considered a checking account? Prepaid account is what they called it. All bank accounts are prepaid.

GreenDot has responded to me and I am totally happy because they issued me $15 credits to my GreenDot card! Now I understand what card I have to get in order to avoid the $2.50 ATM charge. I love green. The only thing you have to do is make sure you understand all the fees and surcharges in your agreement and if you have any concerns confront GreenDot and they will make it right!

It seems as the only place I can reload my card is at Family Dollar stores. Other places like Dollar General can't read my card. This is a real inconvenience. Other than that I have no problem with the card.

I've had no complaints about using the card. Transactions go as smoothly as can be. I just wish there wasn't a monthly fee involve, especially if you have some direct deposit twice a month. I'm probably going to discontinue with the card just because of the fee, but a good card to use.

I have had issues with Green Dot. They continue to duplicate online charges and steal my money. I've stopped using it for online purchases and have kept close track of my funds. I will not recommend this card to anyone. It's unethical the way they do business. I have several hundred dollars missing. It's shady at best.

I have called 3 times to get my account password reset and I am told every time to request it online to which I have numerous times. Received no email to reset password or help. At least get people you can understand instead of people in India using American names. I have not, will not and will not recommend this card at all. Customer service really sux.

Love that it's so convenient to reload and being able to pay bills and use wherever Visa is accepted. Also, that there are locations where you can use as ATM and there are no fees. To be able to get direct deposit is also a good thing.

I've had Green Dot for almost 5 years and it works for what I need it for. It has improved over the years as well. I really don't have any complaints. I did at the beginning. It isn't as convenient as a normal bank account but I am always to get my direct deposit a day early.

I am quite pleased with the amount of service I get from Green Dot. When I have a question they answer it. Customer service is quick and professional and very courteous. I have had one issue with connecting my Green Dot account to my platinum card.

Overall I am satisfied with the service we receive from Green Dot. The only issue I have with Green Dot is that some companies will not allow us to set up auto bill pay with this account. If this could be fixed, I would be happy to give a 5 star rating.

I have had no problems with card but the alerts of balance need improvement. Will get an alert that direct deposit was received followed by a daily balance alert of amount prior to deposit. Also, website can't verify my email due to it never sends message. Would also like if you are a person who has routine monthly direct deposits should be able to add more than $500 without added costs every $500. I understand if I was using card rarely or occasionally but if a daily user and direct deposit of more than $2000 a month every month for several years should account for more than just waiving monthly fee. But I will continue using your service either way. Just don't put as much on card as I would if didn't occur that fee every $500.

I use to be afraid of prepaid card but this has been such a great experience and change from banks. I now feel confidence in my money and can manage it better. Banks made me feel locked in and use lingo that made me feel like I was being swindled. Thank you!

Overall I love Green Dot. I love that just like clockwork my direct deposit always shows up early. I just wish the new credit card offer would take into consideration the direct deposit and tenure and offer lines of credit for credit challenged customers.

As long as you're getting your pay check direct deposited on your card and you don't get charged the monthly fee it's great. When you don't get direct deposit you can lose track of how much you owe for the monthly fee and have to go back to store to load money on your card. I love the Green Dot app. So I always know what's going on with my Green Dot.

I find that it's very easy to use my card when purchasing both in store and online. I never run into any issues while using it. I have downloaded the Green Dot App. It makes checking my balance, seeing if I have enough purchases to get the monthly fee waived and much more!

Overall great experience with Green Dot card. Only thing I wish they had was pending deposits so I don't have to second guess if my check will be deposited or not. Otherwise great experience and wonderful customer service. I get my money on time like clock work. But the pending deposits is the only thing I can say needs to change.

The only downside with my card is the amount you can withdrawal daily. I think it should be allowed to withdrawal more than just $400 at a time. At least $600 would be better and on the app it should list the banks you can go to, to withdrawal from.

Great card & benefits. I use it all the time. Great customer care service. I recommend the card to other people that ask about using prepaid cards. I also have gotten my kids cards so they can use it for themselves. If I ever had a problem, they are quick to respond and help.

I have been a member for many years and think it would be fair to not charge long time members such a high monthly fee, and possibly creating a Green Dot credit card so some members can have one to improve credit. The only thing I'm not happy with is the two charges I get from your card each month. I had thought once I was a VIP member I would have one charge each month. What is the max amount I can load on the card. For the most part I'm very pleased with the card.

I have nothing good to say about your customer service. It's absolutely awful! I have called multiple times today, only to basically be turned away by your automated system. I have been waiting for a phone call back for the past 4 hours, and have yet to receive my "scheduled" call from the "manager". If you have as many supervisors as your employees say, y'all are doing pretty darn good without my business!

I love the card and the early paycheck deposit it has. I would love for you all to offer a % saving when the card is used at certain locations or a cash back at the end of the month thing. For example: 5% cash back Wendy's, 5% cash back Auto Zone, etc. Something like that would be great.

Love Green Dot. Great way to pay bills. Just wish it was free to load money. I don't think we should have to pay to load money. I like the text message features and how I'm able to go online and see all my swipes.

Not too bad. I use it for everything but the only thing I would like is to be able to register my card from my phone not a computer. That way I could get texts messages about my card. I have tried to talk to the support guys and also they say is I need to use a desktop. Well I don't have one and don't need one when my phone works better than one.

Way too difficult to add money using MoneyPak. Rules changed for the worse for the average person. You let that one bad apple ruin it for the bunch. My text bal alert still isn't working, error on your end inconvenience and the monthly fee which was increased to 795 per month call is way out of touch with reality. I've been a loyal customer for years. Not happy.

Was unable to reach a live customer service representative during a transaction conflict that occurred during my hotel stay. I was charged an extra 20 dollars after booking a reservation that allowed up to 4 guests. I paid 10 a piece additionally for my kids. Tried to cancel payment and change reservation; unable too.

I had an issue with a company trying to charge my card, dispute was handled quickly! The $ still isn't showing in my acct 4 weeks later, but hope it does. The service is excellent usually and I love that my $ is safe, and they're early most of the time! This is a BIG advantage over other companies!!

How do I get the cash back rewards? Just wondering. I could really use that cash back but don't understand how I could get it. But otherwise it is a great card. I have no problems with it at all. It makes things a lot easier.
