Really don't like having to pay the fee for adding money to my card. Everything else has been great. Customer service is very friendly and willing to help you solve any issues. They have helped me and I am very pleased.

I like how I use it as a debit card with no problems. It's easy to put money on the card and that helps me out with a lot of things. The only thing I have issue with it's the $7.95 monthly fee but besides that everything else is just fine. Green Dot is great.

Very frustrated that I am unable to check my balance. This isn't fair or good service. I have tried over and over online and by phone and still can't get a balance. WHY? Is my question. I know the numbers are accurate and I need to check the balance on this card asap. Please tell me what is going on and why this is an issue.

I would like to be able to get alerts when my direct deposit post. I have not been able to get that to work for me on my account. I'd like a text or email to notify me. I always have to call in to find out if it has posted. The instructions to set up alerts aren't clear enough to understand.

More ATM locations. The other day I walked all over the place and I came across one location that you were showing on the GPS map or on Google Maps and it was no longer there so I had to walk on additional mile and a half to find the nearest one. Thank you.

For whatever reason I cannot access the website. I go there & try to log in & all I get is page can not be displayed... I'm not happy with all the foreign transaction fees. The first month I used Green Dot there were no fees for the same purchases I make still today. The monthly fee is too high. Plus it cost to reload cash. I'm just giving money away... Other than that I like & continue to use my card.

Have had this card for years. It's better and more used than my bank card. Everywhere but gas stations and I'm okay with that! I am able to have our direct deposit and we get our pay a day early which helps a lot! Also income taxes go right on card! I have recommended this card to friends and family!

I have my Green Dot for over year, great customer service, great card service. They fix my card when I had a problem logging in. The only problem is the service fee, I used to be able to use my purchases to waive the fee. Not anymore. Would like that feature back.

It has been a great card and I love that I get paid a day earlier with it and it's just been very dependable for me and I wouldn't want to use a different card. It's great for paying my bills. It's also great for my shopping online for birthdays and Christmas presents too.

I would recommend this to my friends. It had been a good experience so far. I don't have to hold on to money & it's easy to our cash on so you don't have to. I get direct deposit it. And you're able to see your account online or call if you'd like to speak to an agent. It's great!!

I have tried other cards but this is the best I can even put money on the card and my SSID deposit is secure. I haven't tried the ATM and I like the rewards credit and I pay my bills online and have had no problems. Accepted by most stores that I frequent.

The card is ok except for this new 7.99 a month charge. I really dont understand that. Also the customer service lady that I spoke to was very nasty and rude so those things should be changed. Better service people and a lot cheaper fees when this is a pre paid card you know.

Happy with service!!! It's very convenient and you can use it for your bill, online purchases. It lets you Know when, where you purchase things, what pending what's not. I just love the card and I also can let my kids take it with them to the store. The purchase will hit right away lol.

Overall, I'm happy with my Green Dot Card. The only problem that I have had is customer service is not available in the middle of the night to talk to. I was stranded and need more money off my card. The ATM said I had reached my limit for that day. I really needed to talk to a real person at customer service to up my limit.

I enjoyed Green Dot at first. However over the years the company has changed. The ATMs that are listed still charge fees which they used to be free. Also, the places that accept Green Dot bank are very few and far between. More accepting locations and easier reload as well as free ATM withdrawals would make this card and company great like it once was.

I signed up for text messages indicating balances and deposits. I don't mind the deposits being late but the balances is wrong and go to make a transaction to find out I have less than what the text message say. That is embarrassing. What is the use of the text if the text is wrong.

Being charged so much money to add to your account almost $5.00 to add $20.00 even when you have direct deposit. I don't think that is fair. If you're going to charge let it be on people that don't have direct deposit. Or let it be like a $1.00 not $5.00.

This is a great card. I really wish that you didn't charge a monthly fee when you're loading cash. The fee you pay each month on top of the reload fee takes a lot of money from a person. Also I wish there was no monthly fee when you have direct deposits coming in twice a month but less than $1000. Simplify all your fees.

The last 4 above are from a previous card that I had that was canceled due to fraudulent use. I am very interested to see just how serious your company is about customer satisfaction. Or if you just sweep it under the rug like most companies. My debit card was fraudulently used by someone staying at my home who had also stolen my identity. This person took my card in between my using it each day... And then put it back so I would not notice. There were four charges totaling around $500 that they charged at department stores. I reported this to your fraud dept. And have yet to get my money back. I hope that with the millions your company makes... You dont allow me... A man that lives paycheck to paycheck get cheated out of the money I work so hard for. I really hope you look into this. As the 10th business day is on the 20th. It would be nice to receive my funds back as you do advertise zero liability.

It took forever for me to get my funds. Well should I say once I put funds on there it took me 24 hrs before I could even use it. Don't like Green Dot at all. I will not recommend Green Dot to anyone. I have very, very bad experience.

It is very helpful. It is safe and very convenient. It is very easy to activate. It is helpful with paying any bills or debts that you have. Every time your card is used, it is noted and it will notify you and your bank of any withdrawals.

I was told that a supervisor would call me and it's been two weeks and I'm still waiting on a callback. I was being charged for something and still to this day don't know what it was. You guys stopped the text message for the balance and staff said I had to go online. I try going online and it said I was locked out of my account because of too many attempts. Which was not true. All together worst service ever.

I am very happy with my Green Dot card. I am able to shop online and order Uber or Lyft when needed with it... Make hotel and train reservations. I have no complaints! I have needed to contact customer service and they are always polite and ready to solve whatever issue I have and have had it solved within hours.

I love the Green Dot team. I know I never deposit much. But I never ever have a problem. To be honest there is only 1 thing I don't like and that could get changed. Is as a customer I have monthly fee for service and that's cool. But if I am paying that then why should I get charged at the cash register 3 or 4 more dollars to put money on? That's my only issue. I purchased a card in a dollar store and put 60$ on it. Well it wouldn't activate. Invalid CVS. It doesn't match card number. I ended up waiting two weeks before I ever got that back. My phone was turned off, I didn't have it to replace. I suffered without my phone. I live in the country and no car.

I just wish there was not 2 fees. 1 to load money onto the card and a monthly fee. Need to take one away. Kinda hurts when you get charged 2 times. Need to be change to help us. Other than that, I enjoy using the card now. I have never been overcharged and always early on deposits.

I have had a wonderful experience with Green Dot. I use it for my work and to pay my bills. I have even used it to have my tax refund put on it. It is nice to be able to get paid a few days before we actually get paid so if I have to pay a bill early that's a good thing.

Green Dot is very convenient. Not just that if you use the app it's better, faster, easier than banking. The only thing I wish they had was a credit line for loyal customers like myself. Green Dot has always been right on with the money. No hassle at all. I will never use anything but Green Dot.

I love being with Green Dot. My only concern is I think it be better if customers like myself wasn't charge a fee but instead given 5 dollars if we make a certain amount on spending. That would bring a lot more happy loyal customers.

Well I gave them a 3 because they're average. They need help with getting better customer service. And oh yeah I'm still waiting year for my 25.00 direct deposit bonus in which I complained many times since I set it up and I never received it. Their customer service always says "will check into it and get back to you" but reality that's the way their customer service operates. It's not very good and they never do what they say they're going to do. And if you don't watch your account they do sneak extra fees in which I complained about as well with no response so it boils down to me is they care about making money more than their customers which is bad business because if they weren't I would have received the 25.00 many years ago. So to be honest I can't give them a higher score. I'm still upset because it's the principle of them not doing right.

Hello. I am a Green Dot customer, I truly am a big fan and would recommend this service to everyone. I am very fond of the cash back rewards, just wish it was more than $100.00 in that yearly period but it's still OK. I am upset because I applied for a Green Dot secured credit card. I was approved but recently moved from resident where my original card was issued. And they won't mail to new address. Old address was ** and I would like my new card to be issued to new address **. Please if possible please.

I would like to tell you we enjoy. Your card has been a greatful. I had it for over 1 1/2 Year. I got your silver card and I had already change it but still get my debt still on the gold card. I was going to change to other card but I am stay with you. No I don't like the fee going out when the money don't hit right.

Uber does not take the cards. Also the funds shows when making purchases at the bottom of the receipt. Telephone prompts are way too long and takes forever to get a balance. Looking at different option card with someone else.

I'd like to say that this service is good and I don't have any complaints. The only technical difficulty I've had is communication with customer service. I've had to call countless times to get the destination that I wanted to achieve but overall I'm happy with my service.

So far it has worked for me... Helped pay bills on time. All bills with no problems and received my money on time. Direct deposit on point. All I can say is awesomeness... I tried to use my Green Dot and really give it a chance. But I think I'm going to be switching to another carrier due to 7.95 $ being taken from my account without any type of notice so when I tried using my card it was declined and I don't like being embarrassed.

This experience with Green Dot is not only convenient but it is also smooth, quick, easy, and reliable. I have had more success with this prepaid than my normal debit. No overdraft issues. No holding money for days, no ridiculous fees. I can use it anywhere for anything. I absolutely love the investment.

I love this card. I think that it's really good at tracking your money and not having too many fees but I don't like that I haven't heard back from customer service! Like I needed some information about my card because I was negative in my account. It said it would only take a couple days but it's been more than that.

I think that $3.95 is high to add money to your account and I will be closing my account in the near future due to this and using a free checking account with free Visa card. I currently have a new account at this bank and will be using them since it cost so much to add money to the account. There is no free ATM usage here on your card which I hate as well. Don't be surprised when I transfer my money from your card to my bank account and close this account. You wanted my honest opinion so you have it now. Have a good day and maybe you can stay in business because a lot of banks now are offering free checking accounts and free Visa cards.

I don't like the fact that I can't used my money that is collected until the end of the year, I don't like every time I add money to the card it's 4.95. That's crazy. So now I only use it to pay bills.

I like the card. I use it everywhere. I wish the fees were less though. Fairly high maintenance costs. Still a good card. If the fees were lower, I would be using it more. Difficult to reach customer service and talk to real person. Why are all call centers in India...

My experience was absolute frustration, nothing but problems. It (Visa green dot prepaid) took a week to get it activated. I kept getting error messages starting that you were experiencing technical difficulties, try again later and then card invalids along with technical difficulties error and redirects that were same errors. My power was shut off due to problems with this card. Wife had bought a different type of Green Dot. Same issues so stuck with two different cards. Couldn't use power shut off because of I couldn't access funds on either card and the money I had tied up in them. The other card my wife registered in her name. I have never in my life experience such issues especially with something that is simple.

Great card, super easy to use. Love that I get my pay checks early with direct deposit. Easy to use in the stores. Just wish I could pay at the pump for gas but other than that the card is great. No complaints.

I'm going to be as honest as possible, this company is the worse prepaid company I have ever dealt with in my life! So let me explain. First every time I call this company I have to press wrong buttons in order to talk to someone. Second they take it upon their selves to freeze customers' cards without telling them. Make it so bad I have had this happen to me twice. Fourth this is the only company that I have dealt with that adult hangs up on their customers multiple times and when you ask for a supervisor they hangs up on you as well!!!
I in the process of getting another preload card so I will never deal with this company again. Last they tell you to go to the website to find free ATM however it's not free because I have to call over and over to get my money back and now they don't want to give me my money back now so I don't even call anymore. Obviously the multiple transactions for $2.50 is more important than me as a customer. Now I have a lot more however I don't think it's enough time or space for all I have to say!!

The fees for this card are too high. Why do I have to pay one fee when I initially put money on my card then I am charged another fee when I check my balance on the card. The card isn't accepted everywhere. That's a problem.

I've been with GreenDot for a long time. My experience has been largely very positive. The one thing that's good to keep in mind is if you're going to be using the ATM machine a lot, there is some confusion when it comes to What machines carrier fee and what ones do not. I became the type of member that allows me to have no fees at the ATM. I suggest that you look into that.
GreenDot is not perfect. However when there is a problem they are immediately responsive and On Point. I find that contacting them through social media is the best way to get your issues resolved. If you need to speak with a manager they will call you back usually within a day or two. Once again Green Dot is not perfect, none of us are, but they fix their mistakes and they fix their issues and that's what I like. I especially like that they make me feel like a valued customer.

I went to Daytona Beach in August 2015, I had enough money on my account to pay for my rooms for two days, the hotel clerk said the second day wouldn't go through, but when I looked at my statement and saw that they did indeed charge Me twice. I filed a complaint saying this back then. But you never followed up on it and I never heard anything back on it. As a result I had to pay cash for the second charge cutting our vacation short.

I would recommend Green Dot card to a friend and I have many friends and many of them have switched to Green Dot. I get a little more privileges because I've been there for longer as far as free ATMs and at certain places because I've been there when it was free so they're kind of unhappy about stuff like that where I get it free at certain places and they don't so but other than that they're pretty happy with it. You get paid, my pay goes on usually two days before everybody else's which is nice. I need to look into getting the Platinum Card though now as long as none of the things I have are changed I'd like that. I am very pleased with my Green Dot card. Thank you.

I am very dissatisfied with the amount you charge for the monthly fee. 9.95 is outrageous and I wouldn't refer or recommend Green Dot to ANYONE!! And it's almost impossible to find MoneyPak to reload the card. I believe you should lower the monthly fee to 2.99 or 4.99 and make moneypak and reload more accessible.

I get a little frustrated that I can only load 500 at a time. I don't always have direct deposit available so I have to pay to cash my check plus the loading fee!! Other than that I've been very happy with the whole Green Dot concept.

I have had a good experience using my Green Dot card. It's very easy to use and reload. The fee per month is cheaper than most banks and I like that I can get direct deposit onto it too. I never have any trouble finding an atm to use that is free, so I like that too.

Works great for my expenses, I have had no problems. I have my money wired to my card every two weeks and have used it all over the country with zero problems. I have all my prepaid expenses like Microsoft office and my cell phone bill, never had a problem paying any of my bills.

I love the card. It's a great card to have when you don't conveniently bank at popular banks like TD or Chase. But I don't think that customers should be charged 4.95 to refill. I think it should be free. Then you will have more customers.

I have a wonderful experience with my Green Dot card. I have direct deposit from my employer. I always get my deposit a day ahead of my pay schedule. I love Green Dot, wouldn't have another. Even though I have had several businesses send me their prepaid debit cards to me in the mail but I usually just cut them up and put in the trash.

Hello, I think your svc is a great idea for those without access to a visa logo. But, the fees for loading currency and transactions are not. People who don't have access usually are in debt and don't have the funds to continuously pay the reload fees. But hey guess that's the price we pay.

I have loved having my card. I get my paycheck 2 days prior to payday like what was said. I am very satisfied. I recommend the Green Dot card all of the time to my family and co-workers. It is the best prepaid I have ever owned.

No problems so far. The only thing is it says get your check 2 days faster but it's only 1 day and says you can overdraft up to $10.00 and that's not true. It only does that if it's your monthly fee... so I feel you shouldn't try pulling a fast one on your customers.

I love the service and best part is my ability to transfer money electronically to my wife's card. See I drive a truck over the road and I was having to wire money to her every week. Which was expensive. So I got her her own Green Dot card and account, so now I transfer money at the push of a few buttons and it's free. Thank you Green Dot.

In all fairness my family and I are grateful for Green Dot. My challenge with mobile app is the updates are not always timely. With log in or swipe and deposit alerts via email or the app would be great. Also I ordered pizza from Domino's today and my card balance was on the receipt... This seems like a violation of my rights. Why would any merchant need my balance if they have been paid.

Only thing I don't like is the 10.00 charge for monthly fee, made me go neg. I use the card a lot and wasn't aware of the fee monthly. Other than that I love the service of Green Dot. I recommend everyone I know to Green Dot. I don't wanna lose my earn money back cause of neg 5 dollar.

I have had nothing but great customer service, always helpful, fast quick answers to questions. Always accurate balance info. Easy to use website. A++ easy to use direct deposit. Easy to use text balance check. Sometimes the history text check doesn't always work well. Sometimes reload takes a while to post to account.

I have enjoyed the ease of use of this card but I don't like the monthly fee. I get direct deposit every week and I don't understand why I have a monthly fee. I would think about recommending this card to my friends but I don't want them to have fees as well.

I can always count on Green Dot. I wish I could get to my money 2 days early sometimes but all is good. Awesome service. Keep it up! I like how the VIP user is. I don't however like that if I have to reload a couple more dollars on my card it cost me 4 bucks, I figure since I have direct deposit it wouldn't cost extra.

Love my card but wish you would have left online bill pay as it was. It was much easier to use and read before the update. Love the ease of use otherwise. Loading is fast and easy with ample locations available.

I enjoy using Green Dot, it actually helped me out more than you can guess. It was like giving me a second chance. I'm better with finances, been keeping track better, they are spot on all transactions and up to date. I'm not 100% where I need to be, but Green Dot has definitely helped me keep the course and I'm so thankful. I would suggest custom cards. I'd pay $8 to make a one time card maybe with Soldiers or Patriotic or just a different color. Maybe even an all black card, but I'd really like a custom card!

After several unauthorized transactions my account was frozen without notice. I was told a new card was shipped but it would take nearly two weeks to arrive (5-7 working days + weekend days). So I ordered an "expedited" card (extra $15, 2 day wait) and the first card sent arrived before the "expedited" card. I now have to wait 2 more days (4 days instead of 2) to get my account and money available again. Replacing the card has now cost me nearly $20 instead of $4.95. I think I should get my $15 back since the card did not arrive as advertised. I am NOT a happy camper.

I have enjoyed using my card although I tried to have my Social Security monthly payment changed and they would not accept it. I was very disappointed they would not take it. Other than that, it has helped me tremendously in saving me charges from my bank.

I have had a great experience with you in the past and one now with no complaints to speak about except back in the 90's there was no charge to using the card and now there is. The charge of $9.95 for loading now, and then there was not one. But it was given back so I will remember that in the future.

I have been a loyal cardholder for several years because of two simple reasons. First and foremost no overdraft fees ever. There is literally no way to overspend. Secondly, it super convenient to use and load. With this card and my Walmart MoneyCard through Green Dot I have a much better control of my finances. My only two suggestions are reducing in store card load and card maintenance fee; for loyal customers (over 5 year customer). Also less promos during balance calls. They're short but annoying after awhile.

I really like my Green Dot card. I use it all the time and it is accepted everywhere. It is also great for ATM usage. It is easy to reload and the VIP works very well for my needs. I do get frustrated when reloading online as it says the reload per day is $2,500 and it never lets me load more than $400 a day which puts me in a bind when I need to pay bills.

Why do you charge a monthly fee when I get SSI. I was told there couldn't be a monthly fee for SSI checks but I enjoy using the card. I have had it for a couple of years and like it but just don't understand why the fee. I use the funds to pay bills and to buy things needed.

The whole wait one year for cash back is upsetting if it stops building up once you get to $100 dollars. Why not once you get to $100 dollars you get the cash back as a bonus then you build back up to $100 again. That will keep people and gain more customers.

I have used Green Dot for many years but with different cards. I have always been very pleased with the ease of using the card, I am even more pleased now that many of the locations that I go to reload offer Reload at the register at a better fee than the Money packs were. I think having to pay 7.95 a month if you don't make 30 purchases or deposit 1,000 a month is unfair and not right because the people can't afford to do that. Other than that I haven't had any issues.

I really think this is the best prepaid on the market. If you accidentally lose track of your balance and try to purchase something, no charge, no overdraft fees, no penalties. You can text for your balance and your history. My card was compromised. Boom. Green Dot had a new card on the way and put a freeze on my old card. The card you want.

My only issue is recharging the card. I have had to purchase several cards because the stores say the card is no good or it will decline the money transfer. Customer service could be fixed. Hard to understand. Hard to get on the app. The app is a joke really.

My only issue is the limited amount of times you can load. You should be able to load more than 4 times every 30 days and load as much as you like. Overall the service of the card is good. Only draw back is I've been trying to transfer fund from a debit card from another bank to my Green card. Either the ability to do is not possible or I don't know what I'm doing. And you're limited to what you can do from a cellphone.

The only issue I've had with the automated menu is while reporting a lost card and the fact that I don't have the card is why I'm calling. How can I be expected to enter my card number to report it lost? I then tried my social security number but because I have more than one card registered with Green Dot I was told to enter the last four digits of the card I wanted to report lost. And without me entering it the process would not proceed. Ending the phone conversation and being hung up on by the automated operator. There was no option to speak with technical support or a live customer service representative. Leaving me very frustrated and worried my money was going to get stolen from the person who had my card.

I love the app and the ease of use as far as reloading as well as using. I do feel like the fees are pretty stiff both the monthly fee as well as the reload fee. I have had outer prepaid cards that were a fraction of the price.

Very disappointed, I didn't have the card a week and you took 9.98 monthly fee as soon as I put money on it to buy something. Thanks to that. I didn't have enough. I would have had to go spend another 4.95 to refill it. I cut the card in half and tossed it in the trash. I do not like being ripped off.

I love it! It's easy to reload, but I wish that it didn't take loading 1000.00 to waive the monthly fee. Green Dot works well, but I do have an occasional problem with it. Sometimes, I have had stores that don't take it. Some stores only take Visa, I think that's ridiculous.

Accepted everywhere and no matter where I'm at I'm always close to a reload location. The app functions perfectly and I always know my balance with a simple slide of the thumb. Direct deposit was simple to set up and my checks regularly came in two days early. Can't beat that!

Easy to use and having the monthly fee waived due to direct deposit is great! I have just one suggestion. It would be welcomed if I could order cards for family members. Other than that no complaints. Highly recommended as a payroll option for direct deposit.

The company is not real and I would think that ANY card holder would have my back against people like this. But no, they sided with the scammer. I cannot use my card at a gas pump that does not let you use your PIN number. So if it only runs a credit card it will not work. It only works on gas pumps that you put in your pin. Can you fix this please.

I am so glad for Green Dot. Banks were charging me for everything and freezing my account when deposits got hung up in ATM machines, etc. I get my direct deposit and can use my card almost anywhere. Updated deposits are spot on so I can balance my money better. I love the waiving of monthly fees with certain high deposits or 30 or more transactions. Less cash back really saves me money since I don't really need to pull cash out anymore. It has definitely made payments easier for all my bills.

I would NOT recommend Green Dot because the customer service is not helpful at every time I've called. They can't do something or I can't understand them. Then they say get direct deposit and get your check one day sooner and it's a lie. It was her taxes deposit and get 100. That was a lie. Then it's a fee of 4 bucks at atms. I just feel the card is a waste of time.

It took me 2 days to register my card. Finally was able to do it through a friend of mine who helped me. Then once I got it registered not even 24 hours later and the monthly fee is taken from my card. I didn't even have the card a week let alone a month.

I am pleased with my card. I get my check a day in advance which is very nice and I load just enough to where I don't have to pay a monthly charge. The only downside is having to pay almost 5 dollars just to put money on my card.

The only thing I don't like is I can't use them at the gas pumps or at a Redbox. I'm really upset about that. I don't like that about this card. Need to fix it. I'm about everything else I like. Have not had any problems with it other than using it at the pump or the Redbox. Thank you.

The only complaint I have is that I can only do 6 transactions in 30 days. I need unlimited transactions or even 30 a month. If this could be fixed everything would be perfect. But I have to use multiple cards like reload it, and rush card and that don't work for me.

On July 17th I open the card with a $500. 2 minutes later I did another $500. I've been fighting with your company for 4 days now to get my other 500 on my card. They even talk to the people at Circle K the supervisor there. Still no money on my card just the 500 I open it with.

My experience with my Green Dot card has been great and it makes paying bills easier but the monthly fee of $7.95 even if you don't use the card is a bit much. Otherwise I would recommend the Green Dot to anyone and everyone I know.

Card is great. Can use anywhere. However I got the card because I was going through a divorce. Once I got my name changed I was told I had to get a new card. Buy one, go without direct deposit while things were set up and start all over. For someone that has used this card for a few years, they should be willing to accommodate their customers.

Why would I give good rating when I'm told to either reset password or wait 24 hrs to log in again. I needed answers so I choose to reset password. STILL LOCKED OUT! About to find a different card to hold money on. I'm always paid by 7pm on Wednesday and now nothing on my card at all and I'm locked out of the web account page.

I used to have direct deposit. I recently changed jobs and my new employer does not offer direct deposit. My card is costing me at least $20 a month. There is a fee for everything! I no longer recommend this card to my friends and family. It is not a good deal.

The fees to withdraw money is outrageous. You charge you to load money. To withdraw our funds you charge us as well. In my opinion some of the fees need to be eliminated. For every withdrawal from an ATM we are being charged at least another $5. It's not fair in my opinion.

I have really enjoyed my card. The only thing I don't like is how late the deposit come. I wish they will start doing overdraft on the cards that would help out a lot. I think if I'm enrolled in direct deposit my card fee should be waived. This just what I think.

I like the ease of using a card from Green Dot. I like the feature of sending money to another Green Dot user. I like that I get paid a day earlier with direct deposit. Customer service is a nightmare. I barely even call customer service because I know that I won't be able to understand them and they will not be able to help me. Basically the Carter's fantastic as long as you never have any issues and can solve any issues that you do have on your own.

Never had a single issue with direct deposit or unauthorized charge. Never had to call customer service, card works everywhere and direct deposit is even a little faster than other banks. Plenty of ATMs, with low fees. For someone who had some issues with getting an account Green Dot has really been helpful.

Beware!!! Beware!!! Just a way to take your money!!! This was a gift card and what a major mistake. Because of $8 bucks a month, $4 to load money, my goal was to spend gift money and cancel card. 2 months later customer service will not cancel my card. I loaded money to pay the ripoff fees then tried to use the card to bring my balance to zero so I can have it closed but was unable to use the card that just took my money. Calling and speaking to someone in customer service is a big joke. One hour and 30 mins later after being transferred, hung up on, I was told my card was flagged and they sent a new one. Flagged for what??? By whom??? Then I was told I need to activate the card and they wanted all in information on the card... so I guess now they can see my card. There is no supervisor!!! Okay lady stated she canceled and close the card and in 2 weeks I will get a refund check.
I will be surprised because this company is a complete ripoff. I would recommend canceling your card and just getting an account with the banks that at setup inside the Walmart stores because if you have a problem you can at least talk to someone directly and not be lied to over the phone and can understand them as well. Please note that I told the rep that I am recording my call and used my cellphone to document my many calls and time to them to request to close my account because I will not pay another penny to them. So because I could not use my money and must wait for a check for my refund... and I am sure there will be a charge to cash the check too. Beware. Beware. Beware... just pay the higher fees at your bank to have protection and someone to speak with face to face... it will be worth it in the long run for sure. Just a horrible way to do business horrible company... GreenDot Bank!!! Walmart should drop them too!!!

My mom purchased a Walmart gift card (issued by Green Dot Bank) as a gift card for my son. They will not under any circumstances honor the card or answer any questions without a receipt. Why is there a card number and bar code if they won't use them? The cards have no value unless you have a receipt. Also, there is no way to contact by phone or email or text. If you have a complaint you have to fax it. It would be hilarious if I wasn't out $50 PLUS the $3.95 they charged me for the privilege of purchasing the garbage card.

I recently purchased Green Dot Card and it says that it is an invalid card. I've tried to get a hold of a CSR multiple times but to no avail. I have also seen other people have this issue with no resolution.

Green Dot lies to their customers. They told me that I would be getting a check for $61.15 and my account said that I will be getting $53 dollars and something cents so they lied to me. I will never go with Green Dot ever again. I don't like being lied to. I wouldn't recommend Green Dot to anyone.

Bought this card today with the intention of using the card today with a online purchase. Well little do I know that I have to wait whole (curse word) week to get the official card before I can make a purchase online internationally. I am extremely livid. They need to disclose this type of info before you use cash to get this card. Now I gotta wait a week to buy something that's gonna 2 weeks to ship. I will never use this card or Visa again. I'm switching to MasterCard for sure. Visa has lost a customer and I will spread the word how crappy Green Dot and Myvanilla is.

If I could rate these idiots with below one star I would. My tax refund was rejected because the first 3 numbers was left off the account number. I called them 2 weeks before and they refused to address the problem, refused to even attempt to help me. They did not try one bit to help fix this mistake. I know that if one person with that company would have tried it would have help. The first 3 numbers are the same for every single card I have, every card my husband has, every card my sister, brother, son and daughter have. So I know it was fixable. They simply did not care.

All 3 cards I bought on July 2nd all came up invalid when I tried to register them. I have $500 on each and can't get anyone to help me get my money back! I have sent all receipts via email and talked to people on the stores retail line. I still can't get my $1500 back and nobody seems to care!!!! I would not recommend.
