I love Green Dot! I haven't had problem with Green Dot at all! I call customer service and the people are very helpful! They get my deposit on there as soon as it comes. To them! I have. Nothing to complain about!

I use the ATM y'all say and still get charged fees! I feel your card should have a 20 overdraft for customer who may need a little boost until there payday! That will be for customer who really need it!

I like GreenDot. Their services are great and I have not had any problems with them for years. I had a checking account for many years and switched to Green Dot. Never have I been so satisfied with a company that handles my money so very well.

Fees are too high to load money onto card. With monthly fees at $9.95 then charging $5 to load money seems like a ripoff. I will not be continuing the use of Green Dot with so many other options available if the fee structure remains the same.

I love my GREEN Dot Card and it works great. I would recommend everyone to get a Green Dot card. It comes in handy when you least expect it to. I love how it sends you notice every time it's used. I wouldn't trade it for nothing. I love my Green Dot card.

Well first off you guys charge too much for ATM use and no overdraft available when direct deposit is on the card fees should be on certain day every time. Also you say 2 days before on my payroll and that also never happened either. I was very disappointed with this account.

I love my Green Dot card, I have only had minor notification issues as for deposits, but NO problems, the account and phone App is secure, my pay gets direct deposited into my account and is accessible, I love the vault option, being able to have a savings, and backup with instant access if needed at the touch of a button. No complaints here, just a Happy customer????

I enjoy my card. It's easy for my direct deposit and paying bills. It's hassle free. I am a VIP member. The only thing I hate is to me if you're a VIP member you still have to pay a reload fee. I think if someone is a VIP member they should not charge a reload fee. Just my thought.

I have been double charged quite a few times and can't get the form to print or anyone to call me back because they won't answer the phone that's for sure so other than not being able to get my money back that I shouldn't be charged it's good.

They said my Social Security funds will available two day in advance, that didn't happen. Instead they block my card, saying that they needed my ID. Sent them that plus verification of income from Social Security and they are still giving me the run around and today's call was no different, still giving me the same old line "Send in your ID and wait 5 days." It seem nobody at this company communicates with each other and they are not interested in keeping customers. They did not also warn about this new policy to its consumers and I for one don't want to hear sorry, I have bills to pay.

The card replacement system's automation feature lacks some basic reassurances. For example, while I was asked to confirm my ZIP code, at no point did the system reaffirm with another piece of personal information such as my name - a "handshake." I did not receive a confirmation email saying when I should receive my card. The website did not have any confirmation banner when trying to replace the card. After clicking "lost or stolen," I would be taken back to the main account page. There is substantial room for improvement.

The Green Dot card is the best card I ever had because I get paid two days early. I can even pay my Bills with it. Shop online and other things. Also I can get cash back rewards at the end of the year witch is awesome.

My account has been charged over 200 and I wrote a letter, sent it off because you can't get through to customer service nor do they have a email and haven't heard a thing. My money continues to disappear since getting a card with you guys and it starting to make me mad.

I think the card is good to pay bills and receive direct deposit. However, because it’s a prepaid card your balance should never go into the negative. For this reason, I started using the card less. I feel that you have to load money onto the card in order to use the card and can’t understand why the account is going into the negative. Also, the maintenance fee should only be $4.95. And have more clarity about the fees. Value members shouldn’t have to pay to put money on the card.

Customer service reps although polite, it is extremely hard to understand them. In addition, I have never called and been pleased to find out some of the policies. Such as, my card is bent and will break soon, so I wanted to order a new (same) card, but not cancel the current one I possess. Nope, cannot be done, I have to pay extra to get it quicker. I also am not happy with all the fees, I feel there should be a discount, whether it be on monthly fees or ATM fees for people who continue to use your card. In addition, when reviewing my account online this morning, I saw a check pending from November 2018. Shouldn't I have received a notice as to WHY? This check should have been deposited long ago. Why is it still pending after 5 months??? Please respond to these concerns, as I am considering changing to Capital One, which has been much better service in the past. Thank you for your time and attention to these matters.

This bank customer service is the worst ever. You have to jump through hoops to be able to talk to a person. It does no good to call the number on the back of the card, you just get put on hold and no one ever answers. The website and the app are always messing up, sometimes you can't even log in. The bank will not allow instant transfers from PayPal or Venmo. I think it's best I find myself a real bank.

I am a first time user of Green Dot services and I believe they are just as, if not, better than most banks. The setup for registering my card was very user friendly, and the app is awesome. In my opinion, the app for Green Dot is better than most other banking service apps, because it gives a map of all the ATMs that are close to me.

Green Dot is a easy card to use. I never have issues with using card but would recommend a way that we could take money off for free being that some use as primary account for direct deposit. Other than that a very nice card to use and updates balance fast.

It states you will have a free account if you have direct deposit. Been charged monthly since I've had the card. Also I'm being charged to use my card at atm and the Green Dot bank charges me 5.00 to use atm. The app has trouble loading at times. And there's no customer service representative for me to speak to when something is wrong. Also the get paid two days early is false.

I like the Green Dot card but I don't like the ATM fees when there shouldn't be any! I get charged ATM fees for no fee ATM locations if these fees were not there. It would be amazing because you also charge a high monthly fee I think there should be no ATM fees especially at Green Dot ATM locations.

I have used this card for a while and I love it. It is so much better than any bank I have ever used and the fact that it won't let me go under and get a fee is great. Hated that about banks. I would and have suggested Green Dot to people I know and plan to keep this card and using Green Dot for a long time.

Expensive. You guys offer $100 cash back if the account is in good standing for a year, the cost is $9.99 a month. It would be nice if you would offer to recoup all the monthly fees by making the cap $120.

I used TurboTax for years up until this year. I decided to go with depositing my taxes into an Intuit Green Dot prepaid Visa card; I completed my taxes using my new address which I been residing for 5 months. When my Intuit Green Dot card was mailed; I kept checking their automatic phone line which tells you the status of the card, 1st card was supposedly return. The automatic line transfer me to a specialist who took my information and verify the address. Told me wait 7 business days.
On day 2 I called the automatic line. Said, "Your card is been made, on day 4 card is at the post office ready to be delivered. Be on the look out," says the automatic recording, on day 7 your card was mail back to us. Transfer me to another representative. The representative takes my information, updates the address on file and I informed them I'm calling the IRS and filing a complaint with the Attorney General. She says a card will be mailed in 7 business days. I go to the post office to hold my mail. Same scenario. When I call on 7 day, "Your card was mailed back to us."
I get transfer to another representative who then tells me they been mailing my card to the wrong address. There was an e in front of Haverhill and they mailed the card to East Haverhill that now I need to prove my address and sent documents for them to verify; I go online, download my first page of my filed taxes with TurboTax which clearly shows no e in front of Haverhill to prove it was their system's error, I attach a copy of my license which has my old address. They said that was okay, I attached a letter from the building I live at which is a shelter by the YWCA stating I reside there with my children. Letter includes my name, date of birth.
The representative reviews the documents. Says it will take 2 business days to verify and update my address in their system. I advise them that they're committing a federal offense holding my federal taxes which I have access to. On the second business day I called. The representative says they can't accept the letter. I'm still trying to solve issue with no luck. Next I'm calling the IRS and Solve It 7 to put it on the news and file a complaint.

I think it’s pretty annoying that you charge almost 8$ monthly just to use my card! I just feel like since I’m using it daily and depositing my paychecks weekly I shouldn’t have to be charged to use it. Thank you.

Overall I enjoy the use of the card. It is convenient and precise. Adding the ability to use direct deposit has made it even more beneficial. The only negative is there are no free atm locations. But that is a small detractor.

I really like this card. I think even with the cash back card there shouldn’t be a monthly fee though if you deposit a certain amount like the other card. Or maybe the amount of times the card is swiped in a month to eliminate the monthly fee.

The app needs a better update. The app doesn’t seem to want to log into your account or show you your balance half of the time. Love the app. It’s great. Just needs worked on. Maybe also adding a chat to your contact us to help with problems.

I have no issues with my Green Dot Card. Never had a problem putting money on the card, or using the card. Mobile app is very easy to use, it always reflects all Card activity in real time, deposits will show up in about 10 minutes.

I love Green Dot Bank for not giving late fees or other subject fees. Being paid up to 3 days before payday is always a big plus in my books. Hate, hate, hate the monthly service fee. Should be a way to avoid this fee.

I love everything about my Green Dot card. But, I thought that the monthly fee would be waived if I deposited a certain amount. I switched from my Halogen to a Green Dot card and with the Halogen, if I deposited more than 1200? or had over a certain amount of transactions, the monthly fee was waived. Other than that, the card is great. I like the cash back aspect a lot.

Outstanding and exceptional service. I really don't have any complaints. Green Dot is loyal to me and return I am loyal to Green Dot and will refer my family and friends to bank with Green Dot! Great things to come with this bank. They make sure to take care of me. That's what I will let my family and friends to hurry up and get a Green Dot bank account both checking and savings account with Green Dot. This card has helped in a pinch. But, it is difficult to load money and access it with this card. The fees almost make it unworthy of using the card. Lowering the fees and making the access would make using this card worthwhile.

The one thing I am not excited about with this card is the ridiculous monthly fee of almost $8... Most cards only charge $3 which is still ridiculous because I work hard for that money but $8 is simply a rip off! I only continue to use it because it's what I pay my sitter with!

It is absolutely irritating to have a limit on money pak loads. I have clients who pay me in the way of Money Paks but I can never get my money on time because of the loading limits. What’s the point of being able to have multiple cards if there are limits.

I have been with Green Dot for a little over a year. It is very easy to add money to use just about anywhere. The yearly money you receive is nice as well. It is a small savings you can use once a year. I do wish Green Dot would consider allowing customers that have been with bank longer to be able to accumulate more money back for every year they are a customer. Thank you Green Dot. Too many charges when using the card. Already being charged by ATM machines, no need for an additional 2.50. Sometimes I will have 5.00 on the card and can only use 3.00 of it. Hurts for those who are struggling out here. If the charges were dropped, this card would replace banks, for real.

Called your company on 3/20 concerning deposit that I never received. A customer care agent told me she would make a ticket about account and it will take 1-2 business days. Still never heard nothing back.

I have a different card now and it’s been good so far but last time I had a different card with Green Dot and I lost it and needed and new one. Called in to cancel my card and the representative was asking mad questions about why I wanted to cancel like she didn’t believe I was who I was after I verified my info. Then she proceeds to send me a new card but it was to a different address on file so we get off the call for me to find out a few moments later my account was locked. In order for me to use my funds or the card period I had to send in NYS id to verify.
At that time I did not have an ID. Had to go to the DMV to get one which would take 7-10 business days to receive. Meaning my only source of income is unable to be reached for two weeks because a rep locked my account after verifying who I was. I just canceled the card and changed my direct deposit info. Thankfully I only have $5 in that account so I took that as a loss but it better never happen again.

The cash back is night. I only wish I could exceed 100 in a year. Haven't gotten paid a day early so far this year. Although last payday the money did arrive the night before payday. I like the card it is convenient but for several paydays the money was in my BOA account before it appeared on my card.

I start having trouble with my card about two months ago. It won’t work in certain stores and I cannot get money from any ATM machine. Haven’t done anything to it at all. I haven’t scratched the back of it or anything. It just stopped working and it’s a pain to have to use it when I go out to stores. I don’t want to give it up because I have the cash back rewards on it.

Overall I’ve had a good experience with my card. That being said, on April 1, 2019 the system was down for the majority of the day. I called CS and after being on hold over 40 minutes each time I gave up. This is very frustrating when you can’t use card and can’t reach anyone for answers.

I have recommended this company to friends and co workers. Friendly, Reliable service. As advertised, I get my payroll 2 days before everyone else, which is very convenient. I have only had one problem with a faulty charge from a former service, but Green Dot settled this within a reasonable time. Service has always been a pleasant experience that's why I have been a long time member. While Traditional Banks have a slew of overcharges, Green Dot has kept it simple.

I like the whole banking yourself. The fact you pay 10 a month sucks. I understand if it was in the beginning but then to put money on a card you gotta pay 4 bucks. You might as well get a bank account. It's cheaper.

Ease of use and access to many reload and unload locations. Fees are okay but for the service I get I don't mind paying them. I can use practically anywhere online and offline. Haven't had an issue with the card since I got it. Money transfers work well with the card as well as loading and unloading at locations available to me. Overall great prepaid card.

I use Green Dot for everything, paychecks, bills, etc. I find it ridiculous that I have to pay monthly for a fee when I use it as much as I do. It would be nice to get the fee waived for those customers who use their cards frequently.

While it is rather easy transferring money to another Green Dot card, it is nearly impossible to transfer funds to any other sort of account. The monthly fee is also quite steep. $10 a month and only $100 cash back per year. There is no pause card option or any other real premium features to speak of.

Money was taken off a new card that I got. I received a phone call from you guys at 11pm about it. A case was opened. Nothing happened. Got an email from Moneypak right after an email from Green Dot. And then I was told that nothing will be done. That's $500 bucks that I seriously needed. This company have seriously let me down. And I have been hurting for this.

I had to close my account with the card ending 9875 in January due to an unauthorized debit transaction. I’ve never received the refund and funds from that account. I also will lose my cash back from that account which I’d like. I really had have no problems with either account except for that one. Thanks.

I love Green. But the only issue that I have it's the fact that I signed up and less NetSpend MetaBank to come to Green. Because I was told the Green Dot allow me to get my paycheck two days in advance and that's far from the truth. It is 24 hours which means the day before instead of two days before and I also do not like the withdrawal limit. I have to go to two or three different places to pull money off the card because of the limit as far as withdrawal limit 4 ATMs but overall it's alright but I'm seriously thinking about switching back to NetSpend.

Overall pleased with services, occasionally have difficulty with using the card in certain places. It is not compatible with NFC but is linkable to Paypal and you can thus use it to pay via NFC that way if you so choose. Larger transactions can be difficult with the card, and it is still strip as apposed to chip so it feels somewhat vulnerable in terms of security. I have had difficulty on occasion with direct deposit or bill pay using the routing number and account number.

The best part about my Green Dot Cash Back card is that my direct deposit come early. I am also 8 out of 12 months away from my cash back reward, never had a debit card that paid me for using it. However, a waiver for the monthly fee would be appreciated as I utilized this benefit on my regular Green Dot card. I've used Green Dot from a few years now and there's not much I can complain about.

The monthly fee is ridiculous. I can see it being a fee but that’s a bit steep every month and cash back rewards is outrageous that you have to wait a whole year for them to be rewarded. Using the card isn’t a problem at all, I actually enjoy it but not the monthly fees.

This is the most convenient card that I have ever used. I had a NetSpend card before this and it just seem to charge you for everything. I like that there is a way to avoid the service fee and I love the Green Dot app and how convenient it is to use. The only criticism that I may have a out Green Dot is how hard it was to find out how to get a new card when my personalized card got lost in the mail but once I figured it out even that process was easy.

First, I was in NetSpend customer for 2 years. They never charged a account monthly fee with a direct deposit of $1,000 a month. Also with that was an overdraft protection of at least $10. So I'm not impressed just annoyed.

There are only 2 issues I have with Green Dot banking systems. The first one being able to set up a limited amount that I can receive out out of my check and the rest go to something that I can not touch for 1 month at a time. The second issue I have is no physical banks near me.... Or at least a dedicated atm. The app has a few bugs tho, nothing I'm not able to work around. Everything else is perfect. If none of these are fixed. I can totally live without them.

My overall experience with Green Dot has been very pleasurable and would recommend this card to anyone who needs easy access to a debit card without an actual bank account with all the strings attached. Although there are a few downfalls that could make Green Dot card more convenient for its users. They allow easy access and multiple loading locations for loading the cards and getting direct deposit. However there are a few fees that come along with this card, (monthly $9.95 fee, atm fee, checking the balance at an atm) etc. Transfers from account to account would also be super beneficial. Access to more than one card with the same account would also be super helpful in case of lost cards, damaged cards, or two people who would like to share the same account but have separate cards.
The vault is also a super great feature to put money away and in safe keeping unless transferred personally electronically. Have had no issues with the card not working anywhere besides at gas pumps. When money is either put on the card or transferred it is usually accessible within seconds. I have only seen one incident where it took almost an hour for a larger sum of money to be transferred from the vault into the account. Otherwise the whole experience with Green Dot and been very pleasurable. Thank you for your time.

I've been a 9+ year GreenDot member. I have to say Greendot is awesome! Customer service is great and rarely have issues. My direct deposits are always available when they should be. Hopefully a recent problem I've been having they will correct so it doesn't keep happening, after using a Moneypass atm I have been charged a atm withdrawal fee. Moneypass atm's are free to use for GreenDot members. Hoping GreenDot gets this corrected. I highly recommend GreenDot.

As I have went to use it to buy groceries at a store had over 300 on card and was declined not once so I had to go to an atm to take the cash out not once but twice and I get charged for using an atm. So now I just draw it at at one time. Why do I get a charge for 9.95 a month for service charge?

Yesterday I deposit -125,00 to pay my car insurance, I call customers support many times, because the funds not available to today, also I not be able to check my account balance, my app shows message, system down! Bad card, bad experience, bad services.

This is a great a great card. Im glad to have it so I can get my check earlier. I dont know what I would do without it. Im also glad about the money they take and set aside and give to you if I can keep a positive account for a year and they give that back to you at the end of the year.

I no longer have the need for a brick and mortar bank! I like being able to get cash at major retailers! I only wish I could send money orders or checks from my account online. Otherwise this has been a great experience and I have been recommending it to everyone!

I have not been able to use my Moneypak profiles to load Moneypaks to my card and when I request a refund they want identification while my money is being held. I would like to be able to load to my card again. It has been a very inconvenient for me receiving money my family sends me.

Major outage in 04/1/19. No one would answer the phones. Unable to change address without ordering a new card! Seems like a poor business practice to me. Seriously considering go with a different card company at this point. Please the update of address without trying to make a buck off it!

The card itself isn't too bad. I don't usually get my money early. The monthly fee can be inconvenient at times. And waiting a year for the $100 cash back is too long. I also was charged for an ATM transaction that never happened. The issue was never resolved.

I feel as if we have direct deposit to the card, we should not be charged a monthly fee. The ATM fee is ok because I understand it, but no monthly fee. I use my card for multiple purposes, ATM, shopping, paying bills. I enjoy the cash back option. I feel as if I should be able to keep my monthly fee.

Very nice easy to use. A little unclear on some limits and such. Received an email saying if I had a deposit of a certain amount in a month I wouldn't be charged the monthly fee. I had over $5,000.00 deposited and was still charged. Looked up limits and showed I could withdraw up to $500. Was only able to get $300. Like I said not saying the rules aren't there just not very clear and organized. I don't plan to stop using the card just will be super careful for fees and things. Thank you.

My only complaint is when you have an unrecognized purchase you have to send mail to their hq and in the end can take months. I wish they had the ability to do tickets on the app. It would make everything consumer friendly. Chase you can call Green Dot that's a nope.

I've had this card for a year and a half almost, I've never spoke with a real person to discuss my account. To make matters worst I'm having issues with trying to dispute several transactions. It's four charges that hit my card and posted which shouldn't have. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement, I'm definitely closing this account!

I love it! It's super easy and convenient. There are many locations in which you can load money on to your card. It makes online shopping an ease, ordering food and for transportation. I love how you can track your transactions just like the bank!!

I don't think a person should be charged a fee for checking their account balance. Additionally I do not agree with being charged a "balance check" fee when I try to get cash from an ATM but do not have enough in my account. I should simply get an insufficient funds message.... not another fee.

For the most part it's good but I think you could make some changes like cash back everytime you spend 20 or more cheaper atm fees and I've had a few things pending more almost a month I see it taken out then it's pending again like I spent the same money over again. The app needs to be fixed also because a lot of the time it will not let me sign in.

I have never had a problem with my card and love the fact we get cash back every time it is used. I had my previous paycheck direct deposited and never had a problem. I just wish if your account stays active that the monthly fee would be waived. Card monthly maintenance fees are too high and the app doesn't ever work right. Please fix the problem with the app and maybe reduce the monthly fee to maybe $5.00. $8.00 is a bit high. Thank you so much. Hope these things get resolved.

I have the cash back card. But I will be switching to another card. I am spending 10$ every month in member fees. That's 120$ a year. If you direct deposit, post a certain amount a month and never have a negative balance our fees should be waived like it is on other cards.

The app for Green Dot is user friendly and amazing! I am very satisfied with Green Dot and have recommended it to many friends. The only thing that bugs me sometimes is when I can't log in because the app is experiencing issues. It doesn't happen often enough to make me change my mind! I do wish that the fee was completely gone, as most of my friends tell me they can get other prepaid cards without a fee. Thank you for everything you do!

I've had Green Dot for years and I love it. It's super easy to set up and use. I love that I can check my balance in seconds and also see my account information anytime I need to. The Vault option is also fantastic! I love how easily I can set aside money to save and also within seconds take that money out if I ever have too. I have had zero negative experiences using Green Dot. I have actually recommended it to multiple friends and family members. Honestly, the best financial thing I've done in a long time.

I think you should offer a overdraw/ pin cushion for customers with direct deposit like netspend does to help with people that need a little help til pay day. Otherwise I like the card and it works for me and I like getting my pay 2 days early.

My Green Dot has been super easy to use and I love the direct deposit, sometimes I get my check two days early! However I think that it hard to freeze a transaction, there's no way to stop a payment on the app and hard to get someone on the phone. Needs improvement on the app on what all you can do.

I believe the monthly fee is a little high than any other credit card that I've had. And I use my card on a daily basis and have direct deposit on this card. It would be a good thing to reconsider the fee or lowering it.

This could be a great online bank. However, the monthly fee and ATM fees are ridiculous. Because of those fees I am changing to Chime bank account. There should be free ATMs available and no monthly fee. That would make my banking experience with GreenDot Bank much better.

I'm satisfied for the most part but I believe the annual fees shouldn't be drafted off my card when there's no money on it. I was put $25 in the negative because of my current job not able to use direct deposit at the moment. So when I added money for a bill I needed to pay right away I had to add more just to cover the draft fee and make sure my bill was paid in full.

I wish there was a way you can transfer funds from the checking account to the credit card account. It's a little bit inconvenient to go to the store and do a money transfer that way. It seems that it never works or is it hit or miss. And you cannot use cash to refill the credit card.

I enjoy using it a lot. I like the cash back rewards and I enjoy being able to move funds whenever I’d like but there are a lot of crashes on the app when you first pull it up and sometimes time when you move funds it can take a while for it to load on the screen but overall I’m very satisfied with the overall card and services.

I dont like that you have to mail in a complaint about a transaction that shouldn't be charging my account. It's happened alot and have never gotten fixed because the steps to take are ridiculous. Also the amount I'm allowed to load isnt big enough needs to be larger or whatever we want honestly.

I did my taxes on TaxHawk and they provided me with a Green Dot card to get my refund on. I have not received a card and when I call Green Dot they have a different birthdate on file so my money is stuck. My entire tax return has been deposited by the IRS and they are telling me if I can't verify birthdate over the phone they can't help me. Idk what birthdate they have my tax return ID and have same birthdate so they just have my money and it's nothing I can do about it. What can I do. I need my tax money.

I spoke with an associate named Mabel. She informed me that I could not receive a refund without giving her lots of personal information. When I asked if she would transfer me to a manager, she said she could not. This card was sold next to gift cards and it is not a gift card. It was given to me as a gift and they want my social security number as well as other private information just to use the card. All I want is a refund for this scam card.
