I just started working for the United States Postal Service, and I decided to get my check direct deposited in my Green Dot account, at first I had forgot my original phone number that I started the account with in 2010, so I couldn't get into my account. But I found the number, I was able to then verify it's me. Then I was aked to send over a copy of my license and check stub, which I did...then I was told it would take 2 business days to review and unblock...2 days has passed and I spoke with someone else that stated that my information didn't match.

Purchased a card from Rite Aid and it won't even activate. I've tried online and with multiple reps. Wrote in to Green Dot and they refuse to issue me my money back. They are frauds & thieves! All customer service reps are foreign with heavy accents that can't understand a word of this US culture, it's sad!!

I placed some orders. Card was charged. I went into hospital unexpectedly, products never arrived. Packing popcorn. Clay. And clay devices. Now app is not accepting my password. And every time I try to change it app tells me it's not what the app has recorded. So I'm unable to manage my account.

I have only encountered great customer service and I would recommend Green Dot to anyone and the new updates are great! I love the app as well!! The new features inside the app really help save a lot of cash. Direct deposit is very good as well. I always get my deposit 2 days early as promised. Really great company!!

I moved and my card strip is going out. I tried to change my address so my card doesn’t get sent to my ex-husband. I tried to use the website no luck. I tried calling and got no answer. I tried to report my card damaged and no luck. Debating on taking my business elsewhere.

Green Dot is wonderful. I have 3 of the cards for my wife as well. We never have a problem. Easy direct deposit or adding funds. I think they’re wonderful and their website is easy to use also. Getting around depositing checks. It just makes banking so easy.

I like the use of card but the ATM fees are high. it’s $3 at ATM and $3 on card. It uses a lot of my paycheck to pay at ATM when I need to. Also this card charges 9.95 when the card from Walmart doesn’t charge at all.

I purchased a Green Dot Visa prepaid card from Walmart. Placed money on it and registered the card to receive my new card in the mail months ago. I still haven't received the card and monthly fees are continuously being taken from that amount I placed on the card. I have tried several times to talk to a representative about this issue and they repeatedly say, "I'll transfer you to a supervisor" and then a long hold happens and a recording comes on talking about disputing transactions and hangs up on me. This is a scam to steal people's money. They stole from me and did not hold up their end of the contract/agreement and are fraudulently obtaining these so called fees but never giving a card to use, then pushing people off with lies and hang-ups.

I love my Green Dot account! I find the card easy to use at lots of locations, direct deposit is a dream & any time I have a questions or issue their customer service people have always been very courteous and helpful! I recommend Green Dot because it's easy, safe and reliable!!

Been trying to get a card for over a month, ICE needs to raid their office, can't understand the people and they are puppets that don't understand how to solve problems, and if you question their lies they hang up.

I have very much enjoyed the card. It’s been very helpful with getting my paycheck directly deposited on time every week. Love it. I have not had any issues or problems with my experience with the card. Absolutely love it and the app.

I was completely satisfied as a Green Dot customer until this week. I lost my card. I called this dumb 800 number. Of course I got the auto attendant. Only option I was presented with was to cancel and order another card for $5. No option to speak with a living breathing person. So I requested another card. After doing so, I was notified that it would take up to 2 weeks to get the card by the auto attendant and my money would be frozen until then. NO! I have bills to pay. My family is also in the middle of a move. I need access to my money! So I began googling and calling every Green Dot number I found.

I was signed up for daily texts regarding my available balance and received texts for years until they stopped last year. I signed up again for the texts and haven't received one, which is very disappointing. I also used to receive a text whenever a direct deposit was made into my account, which I no longer receive and is very disappointing as well.

You suck!! And as soon as I can I’m switching to another bank.. I called many times and kept getting different answers about my money. A lady told me it would be in there before the business day Wednesday. So as soon as I can I will be switching accounts to elsewhere.

Well I have been ok with this card until today when I placed an order for almost six hundred dollars and I they were unable to process it until I update my card information. Every time in the past it's been no problem until today. Now all of a sudden they need an email with a copy of my license and a copy of my electric bill at my new address in which I just moved and don't have an electric bill yet nor I have I had my license changed yet so I'm unable to complete my transaction. Biggest inconvenience ever. I don't recommend this card to anyone and I am done using this card as well. As of today go NetSpend or something. It's got to be better.

The app is very slow most of the time regardless of using data or WiFi. I still have not received my $100 for the 12 months of direct deposits and I’ve been using this account for well over a year. I’ve been wanting to change card users but just haven’t gotten around to it: I will most likely change within the next month because of the inconsistency of information being presented on your website and app. Also, I’ve had multiple incorrect charges but it’s such an exhausting process with you guys that I just let it go.

I had an ATM charge my account but the machine malfunctioned and did not dispense the money. The Green Dot website said there is a online dispute form I could fill out and submit but in reality there is not. It is not easy to dispute a transaction or to contact someone when there are questions.

I received my new card in the mail at home. But it was not subtle - which is unusual. It arrived in a window envelope that stated in Big Letters: Your New Credit Card is Inside. Don't appreciate that in these times.

I really like the vault feature to be able to stash and unstash money and the cash back feature is nice as well. The only issue I have is it takes forever to get the code in an email to check the balance. The alerts are very nice to be able to track your monies spent! We have been using Green Dot cards for over 10 years and we love them. We get our paychecks and tax refunds deposited and it is our main source of bill payment! We have recommended many people to get them and they have!

Well My acct is locked. I purchased the Green Dot so that I could have my money deposited instead of having a check by mail...get my funds quicker cause I do have bills to pay. I call up Green Dot and all they could tell me is email it information to verifymydocs@gmailcorp.com. I did that and still no answer. I got no notice of my account being blocked. The reps can’t even tell me why my acct is. I see review and I depend on this money. Just not happy with the service and I’d like someone to get back to me ASAP!! Because I’m reading these reviews and it seems like Green Dot has a problem with keeping people's money...and I can’t afford that.

I love my Green Dot debit card and checking account!! I get paid two days earlier than all of my coworkers, I don’t have to wait on Friday to get paid, which is so convenient! I also love that my debit card gets cash back for me on so many things I buy. LOVE LOVE IT!!!

I get my pay check on time and the right amount. Easy to add money anywhere which is very convenient. Almost every store accepts the card. Only bad thing is the monthly fee. And too hard to get a second card on same account with my wife's name on it. Then we have to pay 2 monthly fees.

This is not the only Green Dot card I have. My other account only charges me $3 a month. I may end up closing this account and looking for something cheaper per month. I use this for fuel purchases only and I am on a tight budget.

I have had no problems with Green Dot. I read online about so many problems that people have with Green Dot. I instantly started worrying that I made a bad decision. But in the past six months I have had zero issues. Thank you Green Dot.

A virtual checking account with that does not nickel and dime your hard earned dollars to death with fees. Immediate text messages on purchases to keep you safe and an awesome app to manage it all. I have used this card for years and am very pleased with the product and services offered.

I don’t like the monthly fee and y’all need to update every time I do a transaction. I like the stash cause it gives me a way to save money. If y’all going to charge a monthly fee y’all should charge five dollars instead of ten. And the cash back you should be able to access anytime.

It would be nice if we can have ATM free of charge because we already get charged for everything we do. And the cash back should be able to get after ever 90 day. Not once a year. Other than that it’s a pretty good card.

I love the options the card has. I dont like not being able to replace my card, the fees for using atms, and the inconvenience of I have went thru the past week without being able to order new cars. Other than that I have had no problems and the bill, send money, and tracking my trans are great.

AWESOME! I’m very satisfied, I would recommend Green Dot to everyone. I can use my card anywhere without the headache of if my card is accepted. I love the app that I have linked to my phone to keep up with acct. balance and transactions.

So I'd definitely give five stars except for the fact it doesn't have a chip which limits what ATM's I can use. Other than that I'd say that the fees for swiping it can become a pain because I have to pay an ATM fee then a fee to use the card as well. Also there isnt a way to raise or limit how much can be pulled from an ATM. I'm at the mercy of each ATM machine and that can definitely be a hassle. I love that I get my direct deposit a day early. Super convenient.

Only have had one problem with anyone accepting the card and that is Youtube TV they won't accept loadable cards for some reason but everyone else I use it for accepts it. Would like to be able to get cash off of it at more ATMs.

I like how Green Dot lets me know when there is action on the account. I have no problem loading the card and Green Dot always keeps current records letting me know of all action with this card. Have no problem recommending this card to friends.

This card is exactly as advertised. There are no surprise fees or anything they don't disclose in the original agreement. I am happy with this card and will continue to use my cash back Green Dot debit. I used it in Puerto Rico several times and had no issue. I also got the secured credit card a few months ago because I was that happy with the debit card. And BONUS I get my paycheck direct deposit 2 days early.

I dispute a charge and closed the account with Walmart Prepaid Card Green Dot Bank. I have been calling every other week about my money. I closed the card and my money has been sitting in Green Dot account. They will not process my funds to be send to me in the form of a check. My dispute was finished on the 02/27/2019. I received the letter and was told in the letter that my funds will be available on my card the following business day but I had been closed that card. They should have processed for my money to be sent to me without me having to keep calling about it. On the 03/03/2019 I was told that I have to wait until they process my claim and that will take 4 business days plus two weeks after that before I would receive my money. That is unacceptable and it's been too long. I have Bills to pay and this is ridiculous. I need someone from this company to send me my money ASAP before I take legal action against this company.

It is good. But nobody really says this is a bank account you know. I think you could make it better if you could get like cards for couples and just get the awareness out there about it being like a bank. But other then that it’s a good experience for.

I use my Green Dot card for my spending money instead of carrying cash. I believe it helps me with my other accounts where I can look at my budget to see where money is flowing. I like it for store purchases, fast food purchases, and even gasoline purchase for my vehicle.

I have a pending charge for $203.22 from Fly Elite. This charge should not be on my account. I called Green Dot 3 times an no one would help me. My issue is still unresolved! Customer service was appalling. I would like the hold taken off of my money.

My experience with the Green Dot card has been great so far. I don't like the ATM fee but other than that I love it. It works just like a actually bank card. There is nothing to I can really complain about.

I love this card. Just wish the cashback was more than 100 dollars. But other than that it's perfect and I love it so much. I don't know why I didn't do this a whole lot sooner than I did because now I feel like the other cards was a waste of my time.

I have been a Green Dot customer for several years and have been very happy with my service. I love that they continue to improve the sevices, and are an easy way to manage my finances by being able to save through the "Stash" portion of the app.

I have been using my Green Dot Card for 6 months. From direct deposits to adding money, and I have no intention on changing anytime soon as I love every service my card has to offer. I have no complaints but it would be nice if I could improve my credit score with the card and a service I would like to see started is rounding to the dollar amount and the change going into my stash. I would recommend Green Dot to everyone I know!!

I have been very satisfied using Green dot, I especially love getting my paycheck deposited 2 days sooner. That is the best part of using you, the only things I do not like is the daily withdrawal limit and the fees at atm's but such is life. I am thoroughly happy. Thank you.

I love the "stash" feature! My wallet got stolen and I automatically stashed my money and it was safe. I also receive my paycheck on Friday when my co-workers get theirs on Monday. This card is a game changer!

Monthly Maintenance Fee too HIGH. Don't like having to pay a fee for ATM use. Spend an avg. of $21.00 a month just to withdraw my own money. Only allowed to withdraw over a certain amount from inside of a bank.

I love this card. Switched from the gold card to the cash back. It's a great card and I'm looking forward to the cash reward at the end of the year. I plan on using the stash function as well so I can try to save some money.

I am happy with my account with Green Dot. I have never had any problems with my account. My check deposits a day early and that really helps with my finances. I got my taxes a couple days early as well.

This was a very unique experiment for me. All other financial institutions try their hardest to get you in the door just to start taking advantage of you with hidden fees and useless perks. So far Green Dot has been a godsend. I especially like using the stash/unstash feature.

I'm very dissatisfied with the cash back feature. They charge 10 a month and give you a 100 back at the end of the year. I was pleased when I saw it when up to 250 at least then it would be worth it but now it's back at 100. If I had the normal card I would have to pay a monthly fee because of my direct deposit so by having the cash back card I'm actually losing 20 bucks a year what a rip off. Should have read the fine print better

The over all services are good. Just sometimes the security doesn't send a code to my e-mail. So I can see my account balance. And also I haven't seen my cash back. I have had the service for more than a year.

I can’t complain. Card services have been good. I only wish that instead of waiting 1 year for cash bank, it should be something more reasonable like every 6 months. Other than that, I like the card and its features.

Like when your a cardholder that use the card all the time and use the ATM I mean yall take $10. In the beginning of the month and then every time I use the ATM whether I'm checking my balance or withdrawing money it cost $3. Plus ATM fees and I think us who do use the card all the time should get changed less than someone that only use when they need to and I think we should be able to earn more than just $100. In 12 months and should be able to get that in less time than 12 months and we should get other kinds of bonuses for using the card all the time like less taking out for monthly fees or small amounts of cash back weekly like $5, 10 or $20. Depending on how much we use our card and how much we spend using them. 1 last thing we should be able to overdraw if we have direct deposit set up add less $20 or so. Hope y'all can do this in the near future and thanks for asking for my input.

I like having my paycheck a day early, really helps. No free ATMs where I live so that's not great. The waiver of fees after $1000 a month, works great with my job and the direct deposit is also great. If I could freely receive cash it would be 5 stars all the way. Thank for wanting my opinion.

I've been with Green Dot checking for 3 or 4 yrs. What I like about it is, I get notification on my phone of all the transactions that are made. Green Dot also has a app that allows you to reserve money for a rainy day.

I have had my card for almost a year now. And I just love it! I get my paycheck 2 days early. I get notifications when money is spent and when it is deposited. I honestly have not yet found anything bad to say.

Do you get your taxes early with Green Dot? I heard people were having problems. I was wondering do I need to get a lawyer about my money. It was supposed to be on my card today. So far I had no problems until today.

Green Dot is a great bank, I love how you can't overdraft your account and that with direct deposit you get your check up to 2 days early. I have nothing but positive things to say about Green Dot and would most definitely say I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone I know!!!

I love my Green Dot Card. I use it for everything I can think of and more. My money comes to me faster than it would if it was going into my bank. Only thing is mines is cracked now and I need a new one.

I think I have been charged twice for a lot of my Lyft rides. It will say pending charge and then show another charge a day later. I am unsure if the bank is taking more money than they should. Also I no longer receive notice of when money gets deposited into my account and I never changed my settings so it is unclear to me why I can’t see that action on my account. I like the convenience of Green Dot but sometimes I am unsure of certain transactions and charges on my account.

I have had my Green Dot card for a while now and have not had any problems with it. It's amazing. I get paid 2 days earlier than others. It's just amazing!! I would recommend Green Dot to everyone that I know.

I wish I could change the billing info on my card since I have moved. Hard to remember old zip codes. Otherwise I love my Green Dot card! Makes my life easier in a lot of ways! I use it to pay all my bills while I live rurally.

About a month ago I ordered a laptop off Amazon. I selected next day delivery and the money was taken from my account. Turns out they didn't have the laptop in stock and so they cancelled my order. The money was never put back on my card. I contacted them and they said it was because my bank had put an authorization hold on the money and that I should contact them. I have never been able to reach them.

I love Green Dot. No overdraft fees and I also get paid 2 days early. Easy one time monthly fee and I am getting 100 cash back in few weeks. I won’t open a bank account because green dot is convenient. I have direct deposit and I get paid early.

This is a great card for those starting out. The accessibility of the card through your app is easy to use and convenient. I do wish that it was accepted with Google pay and some of the investment apps that I have tried that have denied the use of my Visa card.

I noticed on my transactions that I’m receiving extra charges when I purchase item from Kwik shop and other gas stations when I purchase items that are not gas and I paid in the store. I possible I would like to have these charges refunded or explained.

I am glad I have this card. I have use others and have had issues. I have not encountered anything with this one. It is easy to reload. I use this card to pay bills on line and off. It is easy to use at the grocery store. Thank you.

I love the Green.com. It is a great debit card. I would recommend it to anybody. I have my direct deposit 1 day before I get paid. I have always been approved for any transaction. I love the rewards cash back too.

Green dot has been a lifesaver for me! Like most people I fell on some hard times and could not keep up with all of my bills so my credit took a major hit. I was unable to get any checking accounts at banks or credit cards. Thankfully I got a job and found greendot so in could have my paychecks direct deposited onto my card. Very convenient and helpful for a single mom of 3. I recommend it to anyone in any similar situation!

I was very excited knowing that this card "earns" cashback. Downfall, I wish that we (the customer) didn't have to wait 12 months to retrieve it. I clearly met the $100 mark within a short few weeks. Lastly, I wished that there was more/different options of card color and/or designs.

I like having my Green Dot card. There are no worries about getting overdrawn or the bank taken money out of my account. I like that my pay is on there a day before I would normally get paid. I only have one issue with it and that is it cannot be used at the gas pump.

I love my Green Dot account. It works flawlessly just like a regular bank account. The only thing I am displeased with is the fact I am trying to get the secured credit card and I got denied. A secured credit card lmao. That's crazy getting denied for a card you have to send money to in order to receive it.

I don't think if someone has direct deposit that there should be a charge. I have used this card for over a year and I have part of my check going into this account and each month I pay 7.50 each month just to have my money deposited there. I'm leaving this month and going to another account so I won't be charged just for using this card.

I love my Green Dot card! I love that the pending amounts are always quickly updated. I love that there aren't any overdraft fees so I'm able to keep myself responsible for living within my means. And I love being able to use the stash for budgeting. Thank you for offering this service!

I love the card. It is easy to use and every time I use it I get points and Kurt it back for the program at the end of the year and it will be awesome to get it in. Customer service is great. No problems with my card at all. It was an easy set up. Thank you again.

So far so good. Only problem I have is I can’t get cash back without paying a fee. But in all I like it better than anywhere else and it’s very possible I doing something wrong. Such a simpler way of banking and paying bills.

I typed the wrong social security on my card. Now I can't recover my user ID or password as you need the social. It's IMPOSSIBLE to get any help from the website. They just keep sending you to social security verification forms. I called the number and there is no option for assistance just more dead end verifications. Is there an email I can get for support? I don't want to put my number on here. Please send me the number or email for support to my email, **.

I go to a free atm and I still get charged by you guys. You charge 7.50 a month in a fee already. Isn't that enough and even if I go to an approved atm I still get charged your fee and there fee it's ridiculous.

Love it. I have had an account with Green Dot for years. Use it to get paid and get my taxes every year. Great customer service and great benefits of having a card without a bank account. No overdraft but that means no ridiculous overdraft fees.

I love how I am earning cash back. I wish your card had a payday advance option like most bank cards do after so many (or so much) deposits (depends on bank), other than that I am very happy with it. I would suggest doing something with the app though. It shows incorrect available balances.

I feel that the 9.95 monthly fee is way too high especially if you have direct deposit. This is higher than some banks or even other prepay cards. There should be some loyalty reward to keep customers. As I am considering closing the account.

There is really no good reason to use the card as far as rewards. The one reward you do get you have to wait 12 months to get it and it's not even that much compared to the fees and the amount of money that I deposit and withdraw from you all. And I am really considering changing to another provider and I do not expect a response from this cause you probably won't even read it.

I love my Green Dot account, my paycheck is deposited every week, and I can easily use the app to check my balances. Very pleased with with Green Dot. I needed a account to do direct deposit and I went with you guys and so happy I did.

Never used a Green Dot debit card and one day I got one in the mail. So when I started my new job last October I decide to start so I'm still using it. No complaint here. I also like the idea of being able to hold money in another department. That I really appreciate.

The $10 monthly fee is ridiculous especially when you have direct deposit setup. I feel like the fee should be waived especially if you have a certain number of transactions and deposits. I use the card often and $10 is a very high fee rate compared to some of the other prepaid card services.

I have had only great experiences with Green Dot, especially in comparison with other prepaid debit cards. I love how easy it is to reload the card, how great the customer service is, and the great cash back feature. I would definitely recommend this to anyone I know.

I love my card. And I get my paycheck early! Plus I love the cash back features on purchases. I also have a secured credit card line that I will be using to build my credit! This is very important and I'm glad Green Dot made it easier for anyone looking to start over without banking fees.

I guess I would say my experience is pretty positive. I haven't had any major issues that weren't my fault. I find the quick direct deposit to be fantastic. I'm paid two days prior to all of my colleagues. I wish there were more places to put cash deposits into my account but the no fee ATM at wawa makes up for it. I did miss out on the $1000 giveaway at tax time because the government kept the part I was trying to put on my card. Oh well, my fault. But yeah, good stuff. Oh I also wish they wouldn't hold deposited checks for so long. Especially if I've deposited their checks before. That's my only complaint.

Love getting paid 2 days sooner, just wish it was sooner in the day rather than after 5pm. My payday is Fridays, I get paid on Wednesday but after 4:30-5pm. Just wish it was earlier in the day. I'm on Kentucky time.

My experience so far has been great. I would recommend this to a friend or a few friends. I don't have anything bad to say about Green Dot and I love the vault that they added. Green Dot rocks as a prepaid card.

Been pretty good service but will be even better with out the $7.95 fees every month. Will also be wonderful to be able to review any pending deposits on the app. Other then this little things a good have. Have been using Green Dot for years.

While the card has advantages it could be better. I cannot use it for things like Uber and a few other payments I have tried would not go through although there were funds available. Also fees for ATM's are too high.

My overall experience with Green Dot has been great. My paycheck is always a day early. The only issue I have is that often when I call my card to check the balance, it requires that I put in my full 16 digit card number and my full birthday. It can be time consuming.

When I got my card, there was no monthly fee if you had direct deposit and now there is. ATM fees have been added also. So it costs me $6-$8 to get my money out of an ATM. That's ridiculous. Most businesses only allow $40 cash back so that's really inconvenient when you need more cash than that, and you have to spend $ to get cash back so it's not free. I'm looking into other options because of the fees.

You guys are amazing and I love banking with you. And I must admit I totally recommend you guys to everyone I have ever worked with or worked around. You guys get me money quick and I never wait for a paycheck ever.

Delay in releasing pending transactions. I find Green Dot holds pending transactions, hotel holds, 6 or more days longer than my PayPal debit card. I have actually used my PayPal card one week after Green Dot at the same hotel and got my funds released from PayPal before GreenDot. I stay at the same hotel regularly so I know the release pattern and can compare apples to apples.

Excellent. I have had my Green Dot for 15 years. Never had an issue. Get my checks direct deposit. The only thing that has changed is the mobile check deposit. It takes a week to two weeks to deposit to the card. Used to be only a day or so. It's the one feature I no longer use. Most live check to check and any extra money we need right away not weeks later.

I really like using my Green Dot card. I like that there are no fees, and if I don't have the cash, I can't have an overdraft. I also love the stash option. I use it to keep a "savings" so I'm less likely to spend it. It also helps keep money separated that I may need for bills between paychecks.

Im extremely happy with my service for a few reasons 1. The cashback rewards 2. Online purchase ability. Here are my reasons... the cashback rewards is nice because basically you use the card and keep a positive balance and you receive money at the end of the year and for my second reason my credit got ruined and it's hard for me to get a checking account to shop online but this card allows me to be able to do just that.

I recently received a Walmart MoneyCard and I noticed that the card was through you all. They charge me $5 a month compared to 9.99 that my regular Green Dot card charges. Is there a solution to this? I don’t want to pay monthly charges if I’m using direct deposit. Please review the policy and see if any changes can be made. I love using y’all.

I use my Green Dot card every single day! I use it for my paycheck direct deposit and all of my auto pay bills. I wish the monthly fee would be waived for people that use direct deposit like other prepaid cards do!

My only complaint is that the card I got, while still useable, was worn quite a bit after a couple weeks of use. Also I'm a bit concerned that it has no chip. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with the service so far.

Miss the no fee for having direct deposit. Love the early direct deposit. Love the points earned for money back at the end of 12 months. Dont like how it's hard to call and talk to a live person for customer service.

As a rule, I am satisfied with my Green Dot card and the services it offers. However, I am dissatisfied with the alerts. Sporadically I will stop getting daily balance emails and occasionally, I will not get direct deposit info. As of today, I have not received my daily balance mail since Monday. I will also occasionally experience delays in receiving transaction mails, though recently, I did find some in my spam folder. No idea why. If I was to suggest one thing, it is to please communicate with your customers. If there is a system glitch, or a change in originating email addresses, send out a mass mail letting us know. Don't make us wait on a canned answer from tech support. That being said, I do appreciate the ease of use, and the ability to take advantage of direct deposit. Thanks.

Overall on a scale from 1-10 I would rate this card/bank a 6.5. It’s difficult not having an ATM that is home to your bank, because not only do you get a fee for using that ATM, GreenDot charges a fee to use a foreign ATM. Yes there is a cash back option however that is not convenient for most. Secondly, when I stash/unstash money from my account, it’ll take 2-3 refreshes to show the accurate balance on the app. In addition to that, the app doesn’t always work properly, which has actually started recently dysfunctioning. When I open it, whether I use my fingerprint or password to log in, it will spin and load for as long as it takes (1 min-endless) and will not let you log in, until 5-10 attempts which I personally find aggravating. However, using this bank account has definitely been beneficial for the fact that I get paid 1-2 days early, I’m able to easily use a savings account and transfer funds, and I haven’t had any overdraft fees.

It’s made getting paid and shopping easier. I get direct deposit for work and I get my money a day before anyone else which has been really helpful. I recommend it as an alternative to having a bank acc. Can’t spend what you don’t have and I was tired of overdraft fees.

Love the service. Been very good and great for payroll deposit and love the cash back every year. And been using Green Dot to receive payroll for last 3 year and had no problems and Green Dot app great to have.

Never had any issues with transaction accuracy, love the early direct deposit option, and the security of my money. But, I'm spoiled and wish the monthly fee was lower for deposits less than $1000. Otherwise I'm a happy customer and would recommend to others.

There needs to be something done with the $10 monthly fee. Some cards waive the fee when you direct deposit or deposit a certain amount into the account each month. That would be great to see. Also, the reload fee needs to be FREE! To pay $3.75 to reload $20 to the card is RIDICULOUS! That should also be free. I am really on the brink of not using this card any longer due to these fees. Its top priority on my list. I have another Green Dot card that both these fees are FREE or waived after I deposit so much in a month. You guys should think about it too!

It's not a really account that people will accept. It needs to become a secure account after the account has been open at least 1 yr steady. I have tried to get the your credit card I've been deny every time I applied for it.

It has helped me out a lot with paying bills and getting paid. Never really liked having a bank account but this is fast and easy. Liked having the app also to help track my spending and better budget my money.

I love that the more money I spend the more I get within a year. This is the best card, I never have a problem. This card is amazing. It's like credit card but prepaid, everyone accepts this card. This card helps me through some hard times, direct deposit is the best.

Splendid service. I get paid up to 2 day earlier and I always make my deadlines when it comes to personal debt. I get a cash advance on purchases and a minor reimbursement when I place my direct deposits in the checking account.

There’s no overdraft with this account like other banks. Super annoying. I was under the impression that there was overdraft that came with the account but there is only a vault and nothing more. I know I can’t count on this bank in emergency situations.

I like your product and think that your service is pretty good. Only complaint is the loading of the numbers sometimes it will say that you don't have any loads but you do. I guess there's a weird cycle to it... But the convenience of the card is great and I like the cash back rewards. Thanks for your service.

I am 100% satisfied, no complaints from me, check is always prompt and on time, works everywhere I go. I would not change a thing about my Green Dot card, it's fast efficient, maybe could add chip reading or tap pay.

I have had no issues with my card and have had a great experience with Green Dot. The only thing I don’t like about it is having to pay fees every time I want to take money out of the ATM. Even when I find an ATM that says no charges I still get charged from Green Dot.

Not happy with all the extra fees etc. Will not be using my card again. Charged to take MY money out, charged to add money etc. Too damn much money AND then to top it off getting charged a monthly fee.

The card and service has been very consistent and transparent. Card quality is my only knock as mine looks pretty rough after 8 months. Maybe add more color options on the card as well. Overall this card saved me when banks would not accept me and got me financially stable enough for a bank account again. I like using Green Dot for business expenses and online shopping. The text alert and balance alerts help me stay on top of where my money is going. It helps me keep track of transactions. I like that it deposits my paychecks a day early which really comes in handy. I am thinking of purchasing another for online purchases only.

I have had a great experience with the usage of my Green Dot account! The vault is an amazing option that I use on a regular basis! The cash back is great, only have one issue with it! I cant get back more than 100 and I have to wait 12 months for the money and I am already in the first month and at my limit.

Green Dot is great for the most part. I love the early direct deposit and how easy it is to check my balance by just swiping the bottom bar. I also love how easy it is to transfer money. The only thing I wish I could change is that my card declines when ran as credit. Even though most debits cards run as debit perfectly fine? The app is running slow. I just tried using my card and it got declined even though I have money in my account. It said no connection to the server. I love that I can stash my money. I have had unexpected transactions, and this prevents that from happening.

The cash back rewards option is great. Only downfalls is you have to wait 12 months until you can receive them. The $100 cap is also a bum because I use my debit card for lots of transactions and have missed out on hundreds of cash back because of the $100 cap. I opted for this card with cash back option at the end of the year... but that basically just covers the $10 monthly fee over the year, so what's the point of a cash back option when I'm really gaining nothing? My experience with Green Dot has been wonderful. It's easy for me to get my deposit for my job on time. Is easier to use when I have to do online purchases or Lyft so I'm very pleased with Green and I'm going to continue to use Green Dot.

There's nothing to praise, nothing to fault. Have discovered that not all 7-11's are fee free and that "receiving your paycheck two days early" really means 7, 8, 9 pm the day before you typically would so it's not truly 2 days. It's just ok.

My boyfriend received his direct deposit into my account as soon as he received his money we were going to open his own prepaid card with Green Dot. When I called to check the balance I was transferred to a customer service agent who told me I needed to send in a copy of my ID front and back, a copy of my boyfriends ID front and back and a copy of his pay stub. I sent in all he documents yesterday and called in today to make sure there wasn’t any issues and they said it could take 5 business days to be reviewed! My rent is due and I don’t have five business days to wait.

They keep me updated on my account. One problem is that when trying to connect when my Samsung pay, it seem it does what to. Is it possible to make it easy to do that. I can pay my bill faster. And lord money faster.

Nor, can you stop a payment to an unknown source for any reason. And the only solution is to spend all the funds in your acct, change direct deposit (not an immediate transaction). Greendot preys on the poor or less fortunate by charging fees to speak with an agent and additional fees for monthly deposits. It's an unfair system which can be observed in by the non American employees who has no experience with American financials nor the hardships we experience when treated unfairly. There's no empathy or compassion shown in urgent matters.

I temporarily lost my GoBank card and was very frustrated trying to get a phone number to cancel my card or just notify GoBank to have it temporarily disabled. I'd like to this become a very simple operation in the future. The GoBank app was no help at all.

1#The text alerts would not work the first time I signed up!! Then I tried again a year or so later and it worked for a few weeks then quit!! So I went through it all again and still doesn't work! 2# the call help takes forever to get to the balance!! It is very frustrating listening to the dragged out intro about the tax return and the last deposit!! Please give us the opportunity to jump straight to check balance before all the extra info!

I am still new to your services, but I can say that so far I am very happy with what you are providing. I am mostly an online banker so you are a great fit to my banking needs. The direct deposit, and bill pay are a tremendous convenience. And the many locations for depositing and withdrawing cash is abundant.

I’ve used my Green Dot card for over a year now, as well as having it connected with my direct deposit and I would have to say I’m very pleased with the service. Not once have I had any problems whatsoever.

I love my card. Easy to check my balance, my purchases, my direct deposits and to add money to my card. I use my card daily. I only have a few issues with my card, I've only had my card for a few months and I have already meet my cash back reward in that time but I have to wait a year to cash it in. I make weekly direct deposits from my job, I use my card to make purchases daily but I think a year to cash in my cash back rewards is too long. I was told no fees with direct deposit but am still getting $10 fee every month. Fees should be for sometimes users not every paycheck users. Also, not all retailers accept this card online. Very inconvenient. I will be switching to a bank in the near future.

I would def recommend this cash app for friends due to the fact that the money back feature is a great bonus. As well as the fact that it gives you notifications as to what amount you will get back beforehand.

I switched my main finances to GreenDot as I was fed up with my bank's constant overdraft fees. They were constantly changing auto withdraw dates to counteract my direct deposit dates to hit me with 35$ overdraft fees. This is not my opinion or excuse for poorly managing money I went back through several years of transaction and have the proof on paper. Thousands of dollars I paid to them for what should be illegal for them to do. GreenDot has been best move I've made! Very happy w this company and their setup. My only complaint w GreenDot is I loved the pre-authorization of personal checks, it made it so much easier and accurate for me to balance my account and now you can’t do that anymore. Would love to see this feature return but that’s my only complaint.

I am very happy with my service from GreenDot. The only thing I have had an issue with is there are no bank ATMs that I have used that charge no fees. My husband has the same card and he can go to certain ATMs and have no fees charged.

There are way too many fees! There is a $7.95 maintenance fee, then a fee for every time I would like to load cash into the card and then a fee for taking cash out at an ATM! If your bank doesn’t have local banks in a reasonable distance to a major city, you shouldn’t have charges for deposit and withdrawal.

I love that I can get paid early each week but using Green Dot is very expensive! I feel that upon enrolling in direct deposit there should be a lower monthly charge. I used Ace through Netspend and not only was I able to reduce the monthly charge to only $5/month but I was able to swipe my card without a charge for each swipe. I do believe that I will be going back to them. I enjoy being able to view my balance and transactions using the app but you guys are just too expensive.

I liked having the card because I got paid two days early, however I was pretty mad that I stopped getting money put into my vault after 100$. You really can't do much with it if you want as your main bank account, so I ended up having to go back to a major bank.

The app is slow, and hardly ever loads. I get paid late in the day to. Sometimes I don’t get my payment till a day late, it’s irritating. And furthermore I need to update my phone number, won’t let me.

I love the card, but think it is a little crazy to pay a $9.95 monthly fee when you are getting funds direct deposited to it every month. I use it as a place to put money aside and dislike that it costs me monthly.
