    I like everything about the card except the monthly fee. You should waive the monthly fee, if you have two payroll deposits. Or you should lower it. I have thought about switching to a card that doesn’t have a monthly fee. I carry very little cash, 96% of my purchases are on my card.

    I am only giving the Green Dot Card two stars because they have a ridiculous amount of fees. I can’t find a receipt to show it but they even charge you to put money (cash) on the card. Other fees include a monthly maintenance fee and an atm fee. The only reason I still use this card is because I’m not able to have an actual bank checking account.

    I got this card with the intention that it would be my primary account to pay bill and the majority of my daily purchases but I had to completely re-vamp my whole banking process due to the restrictions on electronic account payments. Your requirement to register each of my bills through Bill Pay doesn't work for me. Bill Pay takes too long and I don't get a confirmation from the bill holder (phone, electricity, cable, etc) that the payment was made or accepted. I want to be in control of exactly when payments are made and I want a payment confirmation from the payee the minute I make the payment. Your system does not allow for this type of control. Thus, the card will only be used periodically.

    I have had Green Dot for almost two years now and am officially fed up. I had $330 of fraudulent charges taken out of my account and after almost 2 weeks of their awful customer service giving me a run around my dispute was denied! The 4 transactions were made back to back in Florida at a gas station! I have not been to Florida and live in South Carolina where if you look at my previous transactions you could see I live in Florida. I had to write a letter describing why the charges were fraudulent and still denied! It is infuriating that they don’t care if you money gets stolen or not.

    I’m still waiting on two direct deposits from Feb 20, 2019 and March 5, 2019. Customer service tells me to wait two weeks and four days and send in documents. Did both several times and I’m fed up. It’s been almost three months and at this point I really don’t see them refunding it, but that’s my hard earned money.     On May 1st or May 2nd 2019 my IRS check was deposited to my Walmart Green Dot account. When I checked my account I found that my card has been blocked in my online account had been blocked. When I called customer service they said they require a picture ID and verification of where I received the money from inserting a form such as a pay stub or account voucher. I provided said documentation and I was told that somebody would be in contact with me in 2 business days.

    I called back the next day and was told that my documentation was incorrect and worry I resent all the documentation. I was told I would be called back into days starting from the day afterwards which would have been a Wednesday. But I have not called back on Tuesday I would have never known because the customer service representative told me it wasn't their responsibility to notify me that they needed something. It was my responsibility to call them and ask them what they wanted.

    I have since tried to call corporate. I've been told that there's no supervisors available. I have since tried to get a callback from corporate resolution. I have been waiting three days now. I have been told that my two days will not start until Monday the 13th of May 2019. They have $9,806 of my money I would like access to. I have been evicted from my house. I have lost my vehicle. I am right helping raise three granddaughters who at this point are going hungry right now because we have no money for food because all of my money was on my Walmart card.

    Customer service has been rude and unhelpful. I have actually been told they don't care by a customer service representative. I have been hung up on. I have been told it's not their problem. It's my problem. A customer service representative went so far as to tell me that she knew a fraudulent document when she saw a fraudulent document and that I had sent fraudulent documents to them and then I didn't need to get my money back that they would get back to me at their convenience.

    I am 60 years old. I am semi-retired and disabled. I'm a United States Army veteran and the grandfather of three granddaughters that I am trying to help raise and this is what I get. One customer service representative actually told me that I should take better care of my money so things like this didn't happen. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted with the way I have been treated, the way I have been spoke to and the way I have been put off and put off and put off and now I'm going to get put off for up to another 5 to 7 business days according to the last customer service representative I talked to by the way who will not give their names.

    I understand maybe a day or two before funds can be released and especially on a $9,000 deposit. What I do not understand is it now I'm in my seventh day without my money again and looking at possibly another 7 Days 7 to 10 days before I see it. Your supervisors are at best a joke because they are non-existent. I was told I would receive a callback from corporate dispute resolution within 2 business days. When I called at the end of the second business day I was told they had called me on two separate occasions and I at when I asked which number they called me back. They told me that they called the number that was on my records. I had plainly giving them my new number on two separate occasions. The number that they had on my account was over two years old.

    They told me that in order for them to fix this problem I had to go online and change my phone number that they could not do that there for me but I cannot resolve that issue because I cannot get online my account is blocked. I was told that that was not their problem. I did. I needed to find a way to resolve the situation so they could call me. Now once again yesterday May 10th 2019 I gave them my phone number which is ** for a third time. I have yet to receive any calls or any resolution to this matter. I am also willing to bet that I will get no phone call or any kind of resolution for probably another week to 10 days before anybody calls me at the rate they've been going. The only thing I'm asking is to tell me what it is you need to resolve this account so I can get my money and close my accounts.

    I have been a loyal customer for 7 years. Again I serve this country for a good significant portion of my adult life. I want to be treated like this is a veteran of the US Military which being treated as such not only as insult to injury but makes me question everything about Green. And Walmart. It seems they can take your money arbitrarily and pay it back whenever they damn well feel like it. I think how I have been treated is borderline on waffle and I think that every supervisor that knows about this and every resolution specialist it knows about this should be held accountable. That money was deposited in good faith. There will be taken care of in a professional manner an illegal manner. I submitted all the paperwork and good faith that my account will be resolved and nothing has been done as of today May 11th 2019 at 3:33 p.m. in the afternoon.

    Held my 200 dollar refund for 8 weeks! When I called I was treated horrible and fed a lot of lies. A supervisor got on the line. Would not let me talk and then got loud with me. I used some choice language and of course was hung up on. A bank should never take 8 weeks to refund monies they pull from your personal account immediately. BEWARE... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, BETTER CARDS ARE OUT THERE!

    I contacted Green Dot bank about 10 separate transactions that were made on my account in less than 2 days from a company called Lucky Technologies Inc, this company stole $2350.00 out of my Green Dot Account in 10 separate transactions at $250.00 intervals, with the last transaction of $100.00. I disputed these charges, sent all the information that Green Dot asked me to mail to them and made a police report of the theft.

    However, I was just notified that they closed the dispute and advised that these charges were legit. What??? Seriously, I cant even find hardly any info. on the company Lucky Technologies.Inc. out of Mattapan MA which states they are a Retail Company, which also comes back to HONG Kong... Is it not obvious that this is Fraud, that someone got a hold of my bank info. and made these transactions, and furthermore, why did the Green Dot Bank not realize what was happening and put a stop to the transactions or even call to see if these were valid. I live on Social Security and now I don't know how I am going to survive. Green Dot Banking is a disappointment. I am closing my account with them and wanted to warn everyone who banks with them to watch their money because mine disappeared in their bank.

I've talked to them about my money five different times and they tell me they sending my money by check but never do and now they're saying they need me to send a water bill and my driver license and ss number which they already have to get me my check.. What's funny is Green Dot is known for sending money but they just can't send money they owe to people.... Worst customer service I have ever seen.

    I have a provisional debit from the Green Dot team in the amount of $400 that was withdrawn on 4/25/2019. Today is 5/10/2019 and the problem hasn’t been resolved. I’ve been told they don’t know what customer service agent made the error on my account, but yet I’m still the customer that has is out of $400. I have been calling the number and keep getting told I will receive a call from corporate in 2 days. I haven’t received any calls or emails. Can someone please tell me if you have been through this before or how to get it resolved.

    Okay, here's the issue, I want the rest of MY TAX RETURN. I used Green Dot as the debit card to receive my tax return, no problem. I received the return but a household member used a portion for household expenses without even telling me. So I ended up disputing the charges until I found out the following day. I called Green Dot to make them aware and that I would not be disputing the charges and I wanted the remaining balance of the card to be made available to me. I was told to send in supporting documents to verify who I was. Sent in everything they asked several times, first to an email that isn't even valid and then to a verify my docs email address.

    Every day that I have called it has been another issue and then on top of that having individual in background laugh at me because of how upset I am. It isn't their money, but it seems that they are trying to keep the funds and I am being scammed. How is this company still in business. It's going to take 2 weeks and 4 days, then I was told that they are going to remove the block and it would take 5 days. Where is my money?

    I had a Green Dot card for few years with no problems until couldn't use internationally. About two months ago my card was taken by a Apple Federal Credit Union machine which on the money pass network no fee withdrawals. The next went to branch when it opened to get my card told they couldn't give it to me. I then called Green Dot to get new card said it would take 7 days so paid extra to get it expedited in three. Was home but FedEx did not knock. I then had to pick up at Walgreens. I got to store, got my card activated it then tried to make a purchase. The card would not work, kept asking for chip the card does not have. Then tried to use ATM also nothing. Then tried card at another retailer same chip issue. The card on web purchases only.

    I then called Green Dot was told me that they expedite me a new card at their cost. The new card arrived three days later. I activated card then tried to make purchase, chip issue came up again but was able to withdraw money from ATM. Thus I lived these last three months. Yesterday was at Walmart and got $40 out of ATM. I went to another Walmart closer to home 30 minutes away. I tried to get another $40 and got receipt that said Fraudulent charge. I then called Green Dot was told to try again in one hour. One our later got same Fraudulent charge receipt. I called Green Dot for third time was told go to back, get cash, we fix issue on a day. The next day today tried to get cash at different ATM and got cancelled transaction. I have just got off the phone with Green Dot and told wait one hour again.

    My 12 year old son bought a prepaid card with his allowance and tried to activate the card. Once completing the lengthy activation process he was told he couldn’t activate the account because of his age. I his father called to activate in my name to get his card activated and was told by Bangladesh Bob this process “couldn’t be undid” and a refund would be issued in a minimum of 14 business days. I told him that it was unacceptable to knowingly sell to these cards to minors. Bangladesh Bob told me it was in the fine print. I asked Bob if a 12 year old should understand legal talk and was told he should have read the instructions. I then asked to speak to someone in the United States and Bangladesh Bob told me he was in charge. I asked if signed his checks and he told me no. So I said, "You do have a boss above you," and he hung up on me. So unprofessional and disappointing that this company will sell to minors.

    I am an employer and an employee was using Green Dot as their banking choice. That employee for personal reasons had to close his account. He contacted us to let us know the account had been closed, but we had already had run the payroll. The money should have been rejected (as we checked and the account was indeed closed) and returned to our bank. It was not. We have tried to contact them but it is IMPOSSIBLE to speak to a human person. We have even tried their corporate office number to no avail.

    I filled with TurboTax this year and last year. I never received my card last year with my returns or my card from this year. I have been going in circles with the Irs, TurboTax, Greendot. I always end up getting told that I need to go through greendot because the tax return money was sent to them, it's in their banking system. I get told every time I am able to get a customer service representative on the phone that a card was sent but returned to them. I verify the address with them and it is the correct address. I am at a point of having to go to an attorney to get my tax returns.

    I went to the store and purchased a Moneypak to pay my electric, that was on 5-3-2019 and the Moneypak website would not let me create my account. It would either say need verification or Recaptcha problems. I contacted Green Dot and they keep giving me the runaround. I have talked to them every day. My electric got shut off and I had to find people to help due to their mistake. I am getting nowhere, hiring an attorney is my next step.

It states that, "Personal information on your account cannot be verified" or something like that and it won't let us load the numbers. It's making you request a refund.     I would never recommend Green Dot to anyone. For 3 months I have been dealing with a dispute that keep getting denied and Green Dot basically stole over 900 dollars from me. I have provided all the information they needed to prove to them that I only used my card for a 100 dollar purchase. I’m not understanding how they can just snatch someone’s money and never give it back. You will be wasting your time if you ever file a dispute because they will just deny it and not give you any reasoning or explanation as to why they are just keeping your money..

    When I call the card now they tell me I have no money in the account when they put a hold on the account. I had over 900 dollars on there. I have began to give up on getting my money back because after 5 dispute cases that all get denied. After given them everything they needed I realized they just stole from me. I would never recommend this company and advise everyone to withdraw their money before it's too late.

    I bought a Green Dot card on May 1st and loaded it. I was about to order dinner for my family and the card declined then I called Green Dot and the only person I got was a automated message. So then the automated message said I could only make in purchase transactions which one is bull and two they expect me to mail a letter which can take months to get back to me. So basically I went along with using my card and a couple days ago I used it and the place I used it at refunded me my money. I checked and it was back. But when I got home they took the money out of my account anyway. GreenDot I will be taking legal action if my money isn’t put back into my account.

    So on Feb 28th 19, I had became aware of my card being stolen. I contacted Green Dot on the 1st of March. Since then opened 3 claims to the company with no resolution. It’s crazy how someone else had a chance to enjoy my hard earned money... not to mention that they said the reason for not refunding my account was because it was used in my geographic area. Duh it was stolen from my mailbox and they just recently denied my fourth claim. I just want my $3100 back.

    I bought the card. Because it was refillable. I Purchased it for my child who was going away on a school trip. I have been trying to register the card for three days now and continue to get an error message saying the system is down and to try again later. I have called every phone number that I can find and I cannot reach a live person to help me. The only person that I was able to reach told me that it is impossible to register the card anywhere but online and I would simply have to wait for their system to work again and then he hung up on me. I will never purchase a Green Dot product again and I can only hope that my daughter doesn’t need more funding on her trip as I have no way to get it to her. Do not recommend this at all.

    I have been using MoneyPak for a few months now to sell online handmade jewelry. Many of my customers don't have bank accounts so they like the convenience it offers. Everything was going well when all of a sudden I get messages telling me I've exceeded my allowable number of transactions. I had quite a few so I understood. I waited a while and tried again with no luck. I waited longer and still no luck. Then all of a sudden it worked again but just for a few days. At that point I reviewed my transactions. I had not yet reached the transaction limit but remained blocked. I tried to figure out how to calculate the limits, when I'd reached them, and when I would again be able to use the service. I could not find help anywhere.

    I emailed my problem to customer service but they never got back to me. I would leave this particular service if I could find a replacement, but I found none. This is very frustrating. I should be able to figure out my limits in advance and proceed accordingly, but there is no rhyme or reason to how my transactions are being blocked. I suppose when you are pretty much the only game in town you can do what you want with your customers. I am not happy!

    We had 953.00 taken out of our account on April 23, 2019 from an ATM at Wells Fargo Bank in California. We live in Oklahoma. We called Green Dot to have them stop it as it was pending. They told us it would have to clear then call back and make a dispute. So it cleared and we disputed. We sent in the documents needed and they were received. Today May 7th they told us we would have an answer by email. No email today! We called and they told us it's still under investigation. They cannot give us any updates, any names, any phone numbers of their investigation team. I will definitely never go through Green Dot bank again. When you call and ask questions it's like talking to a robot. They just give you the same minimal answer....They are working on it and it takes 10 business days. They cannot connect you to the investigation team. Just as their replies to others complaints is just a robot with the same wording..."We tried to reach you."

    Ask to do a stop payment instead they did a dispute transaction. 5 days later they blocked my account. Was never told that was going to happen then called to see what I could do. They said my account would be blocked for 10 days till the dispute I didn't want was finished. Called back in 10 days and they told me it was extended for 45 days and cannot access my money that belongs to me. To call back in 45 days. I explained to them about mix up and all they could say is sorry. Well I think they should be able to stop the dispute and mail my money to me.

    I think that monthly fees should be waived with a certain total of deposits each month. I deposit around 1500 in it every month from work and the 10 dollar monthly fee is a nuisance.     This is the worst company I've ever experienced in my entire life... Do NOT do business with this company. It will be the biggest mistake ever! They have the worst customer service ever. You can't ever get a hold of anyone that will actually help you. My husband and I got money direct deposited on to this card March 19, 2019 and we still cannot access it. When I called to ask why isn't it available the first time they tell me wait 4 hours and it will be available. Then when it wasn't available, I call back again to find out why. I'm then told I have to email a copy of my ID to them. So I email a copy and call back right away to make sure they received it. You would think a business would give you some kind of feedback that they received the documents they were asking for, but not this one.

    So, after I email my ID they proceed to tell me that now it is going to take 3-5 business days before our money is available. So I waited 3 days and called back because we are still not able to access our money. Then, I'm told that they needed more information. They needed my ID, my husband's ID, a copy of the paycheck stub, and a copy of the amount of money that was deposited. So we send this information to Green Dot and call right back to make sure they have everything they need so we can access OUR money. Also, this isn't a little bit of money we are waiting on; it is over $2,000. I try and explain this to these people that we have 3 children we have to provide for that need food, diapers, heat, electricity and they are giving us the biggest runaround. This doesn't make any sense why they will not release our money.

    So after I send the other documents they again tell me another 3-5 business days. I ask the representative to speak to a manager or supervisor because I feel like this company's customer service is the worst in the history of all time. They then tell me they have to put my name on a list and someone will call me back in 2 days. So, I tell them to have someone call me back, no one ever did. We still do not have our money. I called and told the company to send it back to the sender. They tell us they can't just send it back. This company lies, steals, gives you the hardest time if you need help with anything. This company is a fraud and if you do business with them it will be the biggest mistake you ever make. I am going to report them to the BBB and FDIC so hopefully this doesn't happen to someone else. TRUST ME STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

    I need a supervisor. Your company is a scam. Has to be to have the most unprofessional lying reps. I have purchased 2 MoneyPak reload cards. And I can't get an account set up. It says I can't be verified and I can't use MoneyPak. The reps always ask me how much are my cards. They said I would get my refunds in 4 days. The third rep I talked was very condescending, very abrupt and completely unprofessional. He said they could have loaded my cards but nobody gave me this option. I am furious. I have almost 400 held hostage by this company. I am going on every forum sites and tell everybody to let's get together and do a class action suit. I also am going to send this information to every store that sells these cards.

    I bought a Green Dot card. Put 460.00 on it. While trying to activate it it said something didn't match and so I cannot request a card with my name on it. Oh well I had bought it as a disposable so Was going to use and toss. I paid 337.05 for a hotel that does not accept cash and was going to pay my car insurance for 107.00. Now 337.05 + 107.00 = 445.05 + 8.00 for the card fee = 453.05 so how come when I called the insurance co they told me the card was declined!!!! Please call me **. I have over $100.00 stuck on a card that the automated call # will not even recognize.

    I have been using Green Dot for years with no problems but a couple weeks ago I used the deposit check with a picture feature. The check cleared and was deposited into my account. About a week later I tried to log into my account and it was blocked. I called and they told me my account was blocked for fraud investigation and hung up. After calling back several times was finally able to get them to to me that I needed to send info through email which I did. After a week I try and call and all I get is someone who answer the phone saying they work in the fraud dept and hang up on me.

    Sometimes they will play a recording that tells me how to dispute a purchase which does not help me at all. At this point Green Dot is holding all my money for no reason that they can tell me. My payroll checks get deposit into my account and I work out of town currently. All my bills are due and I have no gas or food due to Green Dot's action. Like I said I've been a customer for years with no problems and was very happy with Green Dot up to now. If you're reading this please run away from Green Dot. They will literally steal all your money.

    Received my 1st direct deposit this morning and I was really excited that I actually received my check one day earlier than my actual payday. I went online to pay my phone bill and the card declined. Called customer service and they had blocked my account. Said I needed to email them my driver's license and a check stub to prove it was me. Once they receive that it will take two more business days. This is EXTREMELY frustrating considering I’m a single mother with 2 kids and have bills that must be paid today. The rep that I talked to today was extremely nonchalant and didn’t seem to really care at all that I was in a total panic over not being able to access my funds. This overall has been a completely terrible experience and would NEVER recommend them to anyone I know. Very scary to not be able to access my entire paycheck.

    So I’ve had Green Dot for years, pretty much for this one employer that subcontracts to me here and there. Within the entire time frame of my Green Dot account there’s been many months where there wasn’t any account activity or funds for that matter, and Green Dot would just take their monthly fee randomly (for the most part they didn’t take it out every single month, I’m assuming it was do to not having any money in it so their monthly fees was putting it into a negative and would sit like that and become more and more negative every month.

    So I’m assuming that’s why they wouldn’t take it out on those times. My account was basically sitting at an idle, until the employer deposited the money from the work I just finished. They would take out their $10-15 I was negative for the months I had no money in it... All of that is fine and dandy and brings no concern to me about the company because I feel like I was actually benefiting from the overall services being presented.... What does concern me is the fact that when I tried to physically add money to my account from an authorized dealer, I hand them money and they swipe my card to add the money to my account minus the $3.95 fee it cost to do so like I’ve done many many times without any hassle whatsoever. But just recently (within the last month) I’ve tried to load money on my account by loading it with physical cash from authorized dealers, and it somehow gets declined.

    Like seriously though, HTF can the transaction of me attempting to load money and essentially give the company control of my money. But yet somehow decline that transition, I can still access my account and account information online and through the app just like I’ve always been able to do. So please someone explain to me why and even how that is possible for that to happen, oh yeah and my card is still current and isn’t expired until next year.... I apologize for the long text/message about my previous dealings with the company leading up to my small problem regarding my card and not being able to load money onto my account.

    Oh how I wish I would have researched these cards before agreeing to use one! I should have known from the start when TurboTax conned me into getting this card (issues with them as well but that’s a different issue that will be a separate review) that it would be a disaster! And boy is it!!! I recently was confused when a small purchase was declined, I checked my card and there were two HUGE transactions that I never made. I look for a way to dispute in my card app, nothing. Signed in on my laptop, nothing but an address to mail in a dispute. That’s problem number 1.

    It’s 2019 and every other banking institution I’ve used (prepaid or otherwise) has given the ability to dispute in an app and/or online with a few easy clicks and writing an explanation. So I called. The person I talked to seemed genuinely sorry, canceled my old card for me, and ordered me a new one. She also said there would be no fees because of my troubles. My new card came 2 days later. That’s the only good thing I can say, replacement card was fast! BUT I was charged the $5 replacement fee which overdrafted my account AND the monthly fee for the card! The card I couldn’t use because SOMEONE STOLE MY INFO AND MADE FRAUDULENT CHARGES!!! The $5 replacement fee was reversed but not the monthly fee.

    Anyways, I mailed in my dispute form as instructed even though I had called too. 10 business days go by and I have no communication from them and no provisional credit that the phone rep ASSURED me I would be granted. This is for a total of over $978 by the way!!! Money I desperately needed seeing as I have four children! So I call Green Dot and they tell me my dispute claim was denied and I would get a letter explaining why. I asked why so I can see if there’s anything else I can or should do seeing as they were NOT authorized charges and it’s $978 not a few bucks!!! They were rude and said, "No. Wait for the letter." So I’ve waited for over a week!

    Finally received the letter today 5/4 (dated 4/26) and it literally only says that they were unable to grant my claim because they’ve determined it was a valid authorized transaction (nice default reply by the way since it was more than one charge!!!). It also says “We value our customers and take claims of this nature very seriously” SERIOUSLY?!?! Ha! Apparently not given that when I found this forum to leave a review I read TONS of bad reviews where customers had the SAME exact issues!!! You do not value your customers or take fraudulent charges seriously!! It seems as though hackers target these cards and I can see why, they don’t take any action! I doubt anyone actually even looked at my dispute!

    I bet they deny each and every dispute they get with that generic letter! This is outrageous and I want my money back ASAP!!! I don’t know how on earth they have an A rating with BBB, but I assure you if I don’t have my money back very very soon I will be filing complaints with them and the FTC!!! DO NOT USE GREEN DOT BANK! Nothing but scam artists! If you actually fix my issue I will be happy to update my review and rating reflecting as such and will consider staying a customer, otherwise I’m taking this as high as it can go and I’ll never let a cent of my money or anyone I know’s money hit your bank!

    Updated on 05/07/2019: They (Green Dot) just wrote a response to my review saying they like to resolve this problem by contacting... That is a crock of crap. They couldn't give a hoot whether you get your funds or well let's just say they are not there for the consumer. I asked 23 times to speak to a supervisor or a card rep so we do the necessary to get the funds that were sent to help my female have a better quality of life.

    And so I don't have to haul water me being disabled. We are currently living 1200% under poverty level... So please if anyone can feel my pain and help me get my card unlocked.. we are currently without food and our electricity will cut off and were living without running water and this money was to change this... Green Dot, Mastercard and Walmart... can got broke before I would recommend them to handle my **. Excuse my animosity ladies and gents but they gonna get what's coming to them. You cannot continue to do us Americans this way. Robert **

    Original Review: I bought a Walmart MoneyCard which is ran by Green Dot. They have locked me out of my account when the social security administration has deposited my wife's back pay. We have been waiting for this money 9702.50 for 3.5 yrs. I have provided the information they requested and still today am looks out...     I am very upset. I set up direct deposit and the money was added to my card. I went to the store and card was declined. I called the company and was told there was a block on my card due to a large amount that wad deposited which was from my payroll and I was told I needed to send a copy of my pay stub and license and I did so I call to make sure they have it and was told it can take 2 business days. It is the weekend. I have to wait for money I earned. I will never use Green Dot again. They are scams. I depend on my money. I'm a single parent with 2 kids and now I have to also pay 50.00 late fee on my rent since I don't have access to my funds. I can't believe that a company is able to hold someone money hostage.

    This is a horrible experience. My direct deposit is in my account but I cannot use it. There is a hold on my account and can’t use the funds that were sent to me and accepted by Green Dot. On their website it states “No need to wait for payday. When we get early notice of your money coming, we will deposit your pay to your account and won’t hold it like other banks do.”- GreenDot.com. So they are asking for documents from me and I provided what they are asking for and still can’t use MY funds. Now I’m being told to wait 2 days. This is crazy. Funds were sent to me from my insurance company on my Green Dot and Green Dot is hold my funds from me??? What right does Green Dot have to hold my funds that were sent to ME.

    I just opened an account on Monday and had my entire paycheck loaded. The funds were deposited early this morning. They blocked my money! I called twice...The first time I was told wait 4 hours. The second time, after 4 hours and no change, I was told to submit my ID and DD slip. I've done that and expected instant response...still waiting! This is MY paycheck and I trusted this company based on their amazing website and reviews I had read, I researched but I guess not thoroughly enough? Now I'm seeing all these negative reviews.

    I signed up because I was tired of my regular credit union and their fees. I should have just kept my dd with them. I am so upset and very disappointed. I understand they want to prevent fraud but they should verify BEFORE they get people's money. I have a lot to do today, pay bills, buy food. I just cannot believe this. Talk about being shocked this morning. I got a text that my funds were deposited but when I went online to the app I was told my account was blocked. Not a good way to join a new "bank".

    I would first start by saying, I was hoping to stay on as a customer with Green Dot however the customer service is so horrible. Let’s start by saying... I have been dealing with “verifying my $3370.34 direct deposit” since April 25, 2019. On April 26, we sent in the documentation. We waited patiently for Monday April 29th just to be told they needed more information to verify documents. For what I am not sure, my name and address match my Identification Card. What is so hard about that? They made me send in another set of documentation which I had notarized and they still say it is under review.

    Before the direct deposit hit the account, I had around $300 that I put on the card via cash. Now they are saying that I can’t have my money back. My company’s bank said that the check already clear on Green Dot's side. So they have my money and my account is on hold. FOR WHAT? There has got to be a better way to handle this verification process and HANGING UP ON ME in the middle of a customer service call was downright NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. I will be taking my service elsewhere now that is for sure and I will tell everyone I can to NEVER purchase a Green Dot Card. This is ridiculous. I have been told to wait 2 days and 2 days more and 2 days more. I want my money. Green Dot has my deposit and cash I PROVIDED and I want my money back.

    I’m extremely disappointed in this Green Dot service. I had a card with Green Dot for 2 years paying a monthly fee of $7.95. Last month April 13th someone went in to my account. Stole 409.00 which I paid my car note with already by the way. Green Dot put no hold on the funds which allowed someone to come in The next day and take all of it. I then contact them and started a dispute within days of doing no investigation. They deny my claim without giving me any reason why. When I speak to a customer service rep she’s all the way in India with no answers to any of my question. I’m left with it’s been denied and that’s it. I ask to speak with a supervisor and was told due to high call volumes they will have to call me. Never received a call.

    They won’t assist in any question or any answers. Just nothing. My money was taken and that’s it. I don’t understand. I’m now being forced to work with my local police station to try and help assist me in getting my money back. To top it off they send me a new card, deducts 7.95 from nothing and leaves me in a negative. After I was robbed for my hard earned money. I’m completely DISGUSTED with this bank and the way they handled a customer of 2 years. I would not recommend anyone to service with a bank that won’t assist in helping you when your account is hit with fraud. PS: It’s now May 3rd. Still haven’t heard from a supervisor at anyone for that matter. I’ve sent numerous letters and photos proving my account was being used under fraud and still nothing from Green Dot.

    I’ve had Green Dot for 5 years and using the card I have never had a problem until I needed a replacement card. The first time I needed to replace my card they sent me 3 different cards which took over 2 weeks. I paid for expedited shipping to receive it as soon as possible but they sent me the wrong cards and then I had to wait longer. Recently had to order another and the same thing happened. I called a week ago to order the card and was told there was 1 fee to have the card expedited and it would arrive by Thursday the latest. Today being Thursday I called since I didn’t get it and one lady said it’s through FedEx it will come today. I also called to figure out about the different amounts taken from my account.

    I waited until 9 for my card to arrive and nothing came so I called back. This time a guy I spoke with told me, "Sorry but your card was just sent out yesterday and won’t be there until Monday." I was upset he said I ordered the card yesterday when I ordered the card 4 days prior. I was told that I ordered two cards when I only called the one time to get my 1 card as soon as possible. I received the run around, still am and was charged these fees for it to be here by today and it’s not. Customer service is very unprofessional and doesn't know anything! They are not helpful at all. Internally there is nothing right with their whole system and after I receive this last card I will be canceling. Never going through this place ever again!

    I purchased my card 2 weeks ago. And now that my direct deposit is due. I cannot get my money to pay my rent because my account is blocked! I called 5 times and 2 of those times I was told it would clear today and it still has not cleared. I have been charged twice already the 5 fee and I got 2 direct deposits that I don't have access to because the account has not cleared.

    Updated on 05/03/2019: They responded to my previous review that they will respond - nope - nothing. Again their so-called customer service is useless. I pity the people who work for them, because they work for thieves. NO RESPONSE. All I want is my $235 back. How hard is that to do? Green Dot - I have contacted WTOP Newsradio in DC - expect a call from them. This would have been so easy to resolve...but no.

    Original Review: I had a transaction with my Green Dot card (which I received as a gift) and the transaction was cancelled and a refund issued back to Green Dot ON APRIL 25, 2019. Per the merchant (VENMO) I should have my money recredited no later than May 2, 2019 (normally it doesn't take more than 1 to 2 days at most). Green Dot has said - both in writing and through their so-called customer service that I will have the funds back on May 28, 2019!!! This is garbage - they've got the money back, they just won't give it to me - and they've already billed $7.95 monthly fee.

    DO NOT ever use these people - use Chime or Simple, or VARO Bank. They give you the same benefits without the crookedness. I have filed a complaint with their regulator (for whatever that may be worth) and I have resigned myself to never see my money again. I emailed and called so-called customer service (who knows where that is) and they are going to give me a "priority" call back - get this - priority within 24 hours. Please STAY AWAY from these thieves. Green Dot - all I'm asking is - please give my little money back. Keep your fee.

    Just had my pay check deposited on the card to have it blocked. I can't even access my money. This company has has no right to take a person's hard earned money like they do. Had the same thing happen to my sister last month. She sent them all her information to still be denied use of her money. I HOPE THIS BUSINESS IS CLOSED THE ** DOWN... I will not have my pay check deposit on this card. I hope more people speak out against GREEN DOT. Will post all over Facebook. They won't give me my paycheck.     I called to dispute a couple transactions I didn't make. Or authorized. Week and half almost 2 weeks later I call to get ANY information. The first lady tells me its denied. I ask why. She proceeded to tell me GREEN DOT sent a letter (on April 22) stating why. I asked to speak with someone else. The next lady tells me the same thing. I then ask speak with someone who can tell me why it was denied. Rep tells me that she is the person who is authorized to tell me. I still haven't received any letter. It's May 1 2019. I would like for someone to contact me ASAP about how you're going to pay back my money.

    Green Dot is a complete scam. I have been waiting on my tax return for 2 months now. I am on the verge of being evicted but does Green Dot care? I doubt it. The customer service is horrible, the only way you can speak to a human is if you call the corporate number and press 7. Other than that you're always redirected to an automated system that give you no information because my card was cancelled. All I was told initially was that it would take up to 40 days for my money to be released by the automated system. After not Receiving my money and calling for weeks I finally spoke with a rep who told me it would take 120 days to release my funds. How is that possible and on top of that I'm still being charged fees on a card that has been canceled since March. I'M SURE THEIR PRACTICES ARE ILLEGAL IN SOME WAY. I'VE RECENTLY REPORTED THEM TO THE IRS AND ALSO CONTACTED AN ATTORNEY.

    Updated on 05/07/2019: Wrote a comment about receiving a refund after almost being scammed out of $500. My cards would not accept the transfer of funds, called MoneyPak customer service. Was on a lengthy call with somebody who could barely speak English. They tried transferring the funds with no avail. They then said they would send a $500 refund check in the mail expect about 7 days.

    This was on 4-17-19. It is now 5-7-19. Still no check, Green Dot said they would reach out to me from the information on this site. Still no contact. Is this company for real? Impossible to log into account, tried setting up with pictures of my license etc. Denied. Just went through a password change and the site still says wrong information. ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY BACK!

    Original Review: Almost got scammed out of $500 and realizing what was going on went to transfer money to a couple of cards I have. Neither one accepted the money transfer. Contacted Green Dot MoneyPak card customer service and after a 20 minute call was told they would issue a $500 refund check. It has been two weeks and nothing. I was given a claim number on my initial call. Called again to their help line and the man who answered the phone would not help or even be able to understand what I was talking about. He then went to transfer me and the line went to busy signal. I tried calling back and busy. Called back and the same man answered and hung up on me. Is this company for real? I cannot speak to anyone who can legibly speak themselves, very frustrating. I need my $500 back ASAP as I run a small business and this sucks.

    I've had $214.62 taken out my account for cancellation purchase. The money was placed in a hold. 2 days before the hold was due to expire, it disappears off my account but the money was not put back into my account. I called 8 times over a 3 hour period talking to numerous people, transferred to different departments, and calls disconnected. No one would help me with this. I gave up and decided to contact the Better Business Bureau. This was the second time they done this in 30 days for a total of almost $250 missing from my account. The account will be closed once the BBB completes their investigation.

    I purchased a Walmart loadable prepaid card so I can have my child care provider payments direct deposited into my account. There were 2 direct deposit transactions made into my account on 4/22/19. I went to a local Walmart to withdraw money from my account and I was unable to withdraw any money. I called the # on the back of the card and was informed Green Dot Bank put a hold on my account, but customer service would not provide me with the reason for the hold. I was instructed to send a copy of my current driver's license as well as a picture of me. I went to the company that issued the direct deposit payments and advised them of the block that was put on my account and the documents Green Dot Bank requested. The company (issuer of the payments) then emailed the requested documents to verifymydocs@greendotcorp.com, which Green Dot Bank confirmed receipt.

    I spoke to Sheryl who claimed she was a Manager and she informed me that the issue would be resolved by 4/24/19 and that I would be able to withdraw money on 4/24/19. This was not the case as I made an attempt to withdraw funds from my account without success. I called customer service again on 4/24/19 and was passed from one representative to another. I have been repeatedly getting the run around from each person I spoke to. One representative stated the documents that were sent were not received and another confirmed receipt. Each time I called, I requested to speak to the last person I spoke to, to avoid having to explain the issue again and again, but was told they were unable to transfer my call.

    I repeatedly requested to speak with a Manager and all of a sudden was told there were no Managers available. I have spoken to several people (Emil, Sheryl, Marie, Chris, Sheila, Ray, Lea, April, and Aga) and no one has been able to assist me in getting the block removed from my account. Today, 5/1/19, I spoke to Aga, who claimed to be the Supervisor regarding my case and he stated that the claimant was under someone else's name and when he provided the name of the person, it was the name of a minor child I provide child care service for.

    As it turns out, Green Dot Bank made a mistake and put the account under the minor's name and Aga said he did not have the authority to remove the block and basically there was nothing else that he could do and that I have to request the issuer of the direct deposit payments to be requested back from Green Dot Bank, which he said will take a minimum of 10 business days for them to release.

    This is experience has been a nightmare!!! I have made attempts to call Green Dot Bank's corporate office in Pasadena, CA, but I keep getting the call center in the Philippines and no one has been able to help me. This experience has caused me tremendous grief. I have bills to pay and the money in my account is rightfully and lawfully mine and to not be able to access my funds is unjust. At this point, I will have to seek legal counsel. I will never do business with anything affiliated with Green Dot Bank Corporation.

    I have been a Green Dot customer for many years. I purchased a MoneyPak to pay bills online and they asked me to verify my identity. I uploaded my ID 3 times. I get an email saying they can’t verify my identity and it is denied. Now my phone went off yesterday and my lights and cable will be off tomorrow. I have $450 stuck in limbo until they decide to send me a check. By then I will have a 5 day notice sitting in the dark with no way to call anyone. I even tried to give the MoneyPak to my son in college but they did the same to him. I don’t know what’s going on but you guys just lost a 5 plus years customer.

    Green Dot put a block on my account so I don't have access to my money. They are telling me I have to provide documents that I do not have. I recently moved and my state ID does not have my old address (they said I have to send ID with address they have on file). They will not give me any other options. Whenever I call they say they understand but can't unblock my account. They email me saying the same thing. I worked for the money they are holding hostage. I trusted I could get my money direct deposited into the card and would be able to access it when I needed. They put a block on my account without me giving them permission and now won't give me my money back. It's over $600 they will not give me. I wonder how many other people they do this to. They are holding hard working people's money and then not giving them a way to get it back.

    I have been with Green Dot for 9 years and the service is getting steadily worse. I needed the routing number for a direct deposit issue and since the routing number had changed over the years, the customer service person refused to give me the new one. I have been locked out of the online service because my email address was made invalid AND my phone number changed. Every time I try to call customer service I end up with someone who is very apologetic that they do not speak intelligible English.

    We had a gift card purchased by my wife's office for the birth of our child. Before we even opened the packaging the account was drained from $140 to $15. The card was used in Seattle, Las Vegas and Kansas City all in the same day. We filed a dispute which they denied. First representative told me that the person who bought the card obviously used the card before giving it to us (it was still in the packaging). I informed him that he could see exactly when the card was used and it should be obvious that it was this was fraudulent. I then called VISA and had a conference call with the VISA representative and a Green Dot representative. They said they would refile the dispute with the information provided and then have a supervisor call me back within 24 hours.

    I called back a week later to check on the refile dispute (no call back from a supervisor). They had not refiled the dispute and they proceed to block me from being able to get through to a representative to discuss the issue. This company has horrible customer service and is effectively allowing peoples money to be stolen. Unfortunately, I can't express in public how I truly feel about this company.

    I elected to have my IRS refund deposited onto a Green Dot prepaid card. I ended up having to move, but I am unable to get my card, which has $1300 on it, because Green Dot will not change my address. I have called over and over, since April 1st, and I have emailed Green Dot every document they requested to make the address change. Now that no one will help me in customer service, even corporate will not call me back. Corporate promised me that once I emailed them the documents, that the would issue me a check, and then overnight it for all of my troubles. I haven’t been able to get a hold of corporate since that conversation. Worse company in the world!

    Yesterday, I loaded $325 at 7/11. The amount never loaded onto my card but it’s on someone else’s card. I called customer service and the representative stated that it would shortly be on my card. She said if I had a dispute to listen to the recorded message that she rudely transferred me to and write a letter. I need my money back! I’m extremely disappointed with this company.

    I submitted claims relating to two Green Dots I currently have linked to my Paypal account. Both cards were compromised, and I dealt with a large of sum of money being deducted from the accounts due to unauthorized transactions. Two separate claims were submitted for both cards, keep in mind they are both the same type of case. I used the same dispute letter and supporting documentation for both cases considering they are one and the same, just on different cards.

    They end up approving the claim for one card, and deny the transactions on the second card. This illustrated a lack of attention to detail due to the fact that both claims relate to the same merchant and deal with the same facts. At this point, they have indicated that nothing can be done other than escalate. What I am realizing is they chose to deny the one claim due to the fact that it involved a large sum of money. There is no other reason for this.

    I have Fastbreak with Budget Rent a Car. I love Budget and they are always willing to help. I went online to update the Fastbreak, which requires a credit card and a temp 1 day deposit of $1.50 to verify my bank account which would be reverse in 24 hours. Well, Ding-Dong Green Dot Bank assumed that this somehow was a $1.50 car rental and took it upon themselves to go ahead and hold $200 for no less than 60 days. When I tried explaining to countless customer service people from India, which seems clueless and unable to comprehend properly or don't have to ability to really contact someone in the escalations from the USA to resolve the issue, they just kept taking me around in circles and repeating the same line of info "Oh, sorry we need a letter from Budget stating that this is not a hold," and after I waited the 2 days that the initial CSP adv it would take they are like "NO, you'll have to wait till June 5th," and it was only April. Ridiculous.

    Then after forcing the customer to go and bug Budget when they had nothing to do with it, come to find out Budget only sends out fax to confirm and Green Dot is so unequipped they don't even have a fax number. They are very unprofessional and don't care ** about their customers. Didn't care if I needed to pay a bill or none of the logical explanations about rentals. WHO THE HECK RENTS A CAR FOR $1.50. And even after a week they had to confirm that no rental was made, they were still wanting to hold the $201.50 until 2 months down the line. Very, very disappointing, no empathy or consideration for their customer. They took 1 sec to take out the money and 60 days to refund it? Something that should take no more than 7-10 business days, but no they have outsourced untrained and unequipped people from another country that can't even escalate to resolve the issue.

    I rate Green Dot a zero because I haven't had a chance to use it. I can't seem to access my acct or card once I activate it. It immediately ask me to log in using what info. I have no clue. It's not the card number which was the only info I provided to activate the card. You would think that Green Dot would make this process a lot less confusing and something that you can actually accomplish. It's that lack of accountability to its consumer that bothers me and makes me highly unlikely to use Green Dot again. There is no concern for its source of revenue. Who does that and wants to stay in business?

They say they're still saying they have not received the documents. My latest document upload was just today. I'm not for sure really really what's going on with Green Dot prepaid money card but the instant the issuance of my money is far beyond the expect the expectations of me having my money. My money has been on this card since the 26th of April. I'm tired of waiting for my money. I have bills. About to be evicted. I need results now. I'm tired of playing games with my money. This is my LIFE!!!

    Original Review: I've had very bad experience with green.com telemarketers. They have they refuse to listen to what I was telling them about my card has been compromised. I've had someone to change everything in my account but when I told them about the address that was on counter kept telling me, "No no no. That's not the account. That's not the address." I thought the address and then I finally get one lady to tell me that the address on file was the address on file. They're still holding my money. Over $1,000 on that card. I haven't gotten a new card.

    It's just pitiful. I have bills that I have to pay them. Behind in my bills due to them holding my money. I need my money and I want my money. Green Dot operators are the worse to me. They're very they're very unprofessional. A lot of them do not need to have that job. They have my money on a card that had been deactivate. I need my money off of that card and no one is willing to help me get my money off of this deactivated card. I feel like Walmart and Green Dot are affiliated with each other and someone could have transfer my money from that card that have been deactivated to a Walmart card.

    Just to start out by 2 days after I purchased something in Phoenix at the same time Green Dot decided to add 2 additional charges from the same company at the same time however, in Los Angeles and in Washington D.C. The company I ordered from only had the charge from Phoenix. The first time I called to dispute the charges the lady could not speak or understand English very well, not a good way to start out. She cancelled out the card that I had. Was supposed to expedited a new one to the address I provided. Neither was done. Going through 8 days of hell with people who can't speak or understand English just poured fuel to the fire.

    8 days they never read any emails to show them my correct address and still can't access my money since the card wasn't expedited. I have now been given an eviction notice because I can't get access to my money. Today the 9th day the disputes haven't been touched but finally got the change of address complete. This has to be the worst company that I know of who basically holds your money hostage. They also need to hire people who can speak and understand English since they are in the customer service business. Once I finally get my money and they get my dispute settled I'm taking my money to a more reliable company.

    So just to sum it up in Green Dot close my account without my permission today so I call them. After being talked to like I’m completely incompetent they informed me that I cannot transfer my $983 to another account in my name - that it has to be issued to me in a refund check because there was a dispute on my account that I was granted and that’s what my account was closed over. This is completely ridiculous. I cannot believe this. I have my retirement check direct deposited every month and I have only had problems out of these people. I have really tried to give them a chance because I was dealing with some identity theft issues for which there was disputes made and I was granted but yet you close my account over it.

    And now I have bills due and no way to get to my money and also have a direct deposit hitting tomorrow to an account that is closed and they tell me, "Get a hold of your payer and give them a different account number for somewhere else." I couldn’t believe my ears! Please tell me there’s something that can be done to where I can have access to my money immediately and get this resolved and open a new Green Dot account because I am completely irate and upset with this whole situation.

    I have Chime Bank as well and they received their veteran deposit for their customers on Thursday the 25th of April 2019. Here at Green Dot I'm still waiting for my deposit and it's Friday the 26th about to be the 27th in 15 mins. The VA said they sent out the payment on 18th and still Green Dot has not released my funds or they say they haven't received them yet. The marketing is a lie, government checks are not deposited 4 days early.

    I have used Green Dot for years. No issues. I have tried to add my husband on numerous occasions and would get error messages. This past week he added his direct deposit to my account. When the deposit was received it was accepted but put my account in a blocked status. It didn't occur to me it would be an issue but I get it. Instead of placing his deposit on hold my Entire account was blocked. All the money that was deposited from employers of Mine in My Name was blocked. (By the way the deposit that was suspicious was $140). I don't use cash so had NONE. I also was laid off two weeks ago so money was tight. The service was horrible. I was desperate. I could not access any money for gas, food, anything.

    In a time when it could not get worse this company held money I had earned for months. I had to search drawers just to get essentials when I had money put back responsibly. They told me they could clear it up by the end of the month. WHAT? How do I feed my family? Put gas in the car? Devastated by already bad times... The customer service barely spoke English and made me feel like it was my fault. I could easily provide you with all the documents needed but no it would take till the end of the month. It was $140. You sat on my hard earned money while you left my family penniless. That is shameless and I felt so helpless. I have never cried so hard. I prepared for this. Trusted my money with this bank and they left me with nothing at the worst time.

    I think it is absolutely ridiculous that I still haven't received a card and ordered a new one 3 days ago and just received an email saying the new card was now being printed and I have 2000 sitting in an account and can't touch it until Green Dot's sorry butts sends me a new card (maybe).     My original bank card never arrived. I called in the day before my direct deposit was going in to order a new card and try to get them to overnight it. Now I’ve been trying to get a new card and am told to keep calling back in 24 hours. So now they have my money and I have no way to access it until a new card arrives in approximately 7 days. I am completely broke and that’s the best idea they have is to wait another 7 days. I am very displeased with the customer service department.

    Purchased a Moneypak a few weeks ago to pay for bus tickets back home. Went to load money to my friend's chime card and it wouldn’t let me load my funds. Contacted Green Dot just be finally emailed back with nothing I was referring to inside my email. Very disappointed with my services because you never know what people are going thru and how I was really down to my last and had to borrow on top just to get home because I couldn’t get my money downloaded. I still have yet to get a response from the last emails I’ve sent about getting my $150 back. I’m reading reviews and it’s like you’re saying you're going to mail checks but that’s not fair. I didn’t mail my money when I needed it.

    I have purchased a Green Dot MoneyPak card in hopes of transferring my money to another card that didn't work. Now my money is stuck somewhere and no one is helping. My wife and I are in a shelter and need our money. This is now the second time this has happened to me and one of my checks they said they would mail me I never received and at this point I don't know what to do.     I have been using Green Dot for a number of years and it works fairly well UNLESS there is an unauthorized use of the card. It's only then you see Green Dot's true color, BLACK and evil. If there is a security breach and have unauthorized charges Green Dot becomes self serving and to cover mistakes they just "deny claim" as your fault and claim there is no breach. This cut throat way to cover their ** is beyond reproach.

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS CARD or you WILL lose money eventually. I finally cancelled my Green Dot accounts when I was told that all my unauthorized transactions were valid charges..I lost $3367.00 and Green Dot would not share supporting documentation even though on Denial Letter's last line says, "Upon request, we will send you a copy of any supporting documentation we used in making our decision." This SCREAMS fraud.

    I got my card, activated it and created an account. I was never allowed to log in again but received emails saying it was activated. Tried using it 3 times and it was declined 3 times. I called the help number where you can’t talk to an actual person and it said there was no money on my card. I feel like Green Dot stole my tax refund.

Stop using pre determined responses to people's complaints. You sound like a broken record. All your responses are identical. Not ethical to just blow people off like that.

    Original Review: Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They cannot do anything to help you. It's all automated and they cant changing anything in the system. Made a deposit by taking pic of check and normally it gives you the option to pay a small fee and get immediate check for deposit. It didn't do that. Tried canceling deposit and they put it through anyway and can have access in 6 days. And their customer service and even a supposed supervisor were unable to back off deposit. It's all an automated system nothing we can do. Sounded like a broken record. Why bother have a call center if they can do nothing to help you when you call them. Last time I ever deal with this fly by night outfit.

    I would not recommend this prepaid card to nobody. Their customer service isn’t good at all. I filed a dispute for stolen/loss card and money missing off my card... They tell me within 10 business days I will receive a letter/email... but the message on their end tells me I will receive a response within 7 business days. So it’s the 10th business day and I haven’t received an email update or anything. I called and the dispute department tells me my case has been extended for 45 days. I was heated then I ask about a provisional credit. She told me if I QUALIFY FOR ONE I CAN RECEIVE IT!!!!

    Now I’m so disappointed in their way of handling customer’s stolen money. Can anyone please tell me WHAT QUALIFIES YOU FOR A PROVISIONAL CREDIT IF YOUR OWN CARD WAS STOLEN AND A THIEF TOOK $900 hundred dollars from you! People stay away from this prepaid card. Go with NETSPEND PREPAID. Do not get a Walmart MoneyCard or Green Dot anything!!!

    I purchased a MoneyPak card to load my Green Dot card (that I have had for 3 years). I got the Green Dot card to pay for Netflix, Hulu and Amazon ordering. So I get the MoneyPak and 45 minutes later I try to load it. It says wait 30 minutes. So I wait an hour and try again. It doesn’t work. I go back to the 7-11 with my receipt and the card, of course they say, "We only sell the card. Your issue is now with MoneyPak/Green Dot" (same umbrella company). So I call customer service and they are rude and they hung up on me twice, blocked my number. So I told my boss who gave me his cell and said, "Try one more time." He listened in on the call all and, "Yes they were rude." So my boss who works for the mayor gave me a list of place to inform about Green Dot, MoneyPak.

    Everyday I get up to go to work, I carve out 40 minutes of my day to email anyone who will listen about the fraudulent company of Green Dot and MoneyPak. So anyone reading this, if they have done the same to you file a complaint with your local Pasadena CA state attorney's office, Immigration, and you may even want to go to the FBI website and go down their list to see if business dealings is one of the things they investigate and and make sure you are detailed and put the address and phone numbers you used to contact them and how much was stolen from you. My goal is to shut Green Dot down.

    I had an unauthorized transaction appear on my account, so I called in - hold time is a bit long (10 minutes) but I held on anyway to dispute the transaction. I was told because it was "pending" I had to wait until it actually processed to dispute. I waited 4 days (still without my money) until the transaction cleared, which it did along with an "overseas fee". I called in to dispute the transaction, waited for over 15 minutes to dispute. They do not provide a temporary refund for disputed transactions, which is bad enough - I need that money to pay bills, but I was then transferred to an automated system that states I need to send in a written dispute as well. This is 2019 - why do I have to mail a letter to dispute? I hope this dispute gets resolved and I get my money back, I will then likely close this account and just wait the extra day for my regular deposits. It's not worth the risk of unauthorized transactions.

    Not very pleased with this company at all. My card was lost in the mail so I called to get a replacement and while I was on the phone they NEVER mentioned that the card I have now would be closed. So now I have a whole paycheck on my card and can't even touch it till I receive my card in 8 days. I think a customer should be able to talk to Moneypak customer service on the phone but that is impossible since they have no way to contact a live person. They should change that.

    I recently made the worst banking choice of my life. I purchased a Wal-Mart visa debit Card to use as a new alternative from traditional banking. Green Dot is the Banking source behind this card. After purchase of the Card in the store, you are to receive a new Card with your name on it via mail with the information you provide. I never received my card, after contacting Green Dot several times to make them aware of the situation, I finally requested a new one via the app. Unaware by doing this it's a totally separate account, in effect I had two accounts activated.

    I received my personalized card in the mail. Gave my employer the new routing and account information and awaited my direct deposit. Green Dot then chose to suspend my account allowing zero access to my money. Stating I needed to send in additional information to verify my account, which I did. After waiting 3 business my account would be verified for use again. This is completely asinine, and unfair practices. I have incurred two late fees in the process of $155.00 due not being able to access my account. Their banking system is a complete nightmare, and customer service is hell on earth. Do yourself a favor and run screaming from this bank, telling everyone you come across to do the same.

    I needed a card sent, but I never received it. Multiple phone calls to customer service resulted in being told many various things. The accent of the representatives, all of them (3 or 4), was thick and very difficult to understand. They were all robotic, and clearly would not or could not deviate from the script that was in front of them. They could speak it, but did not understand common English. I was told I needed to “send (my) ID” to verify my address. This was very frustrating to me. I had to jump through incredible hoops to verify who I was, yet to change my address, I had to send my ID? Odd.

    The whole experience was poor and it is evident these employees are sourced from another country AND poorly trained. One was rude and kept interrupting. Another was very confused and did not know the difference in dates (she twisted the 10th for the 1st, and vice versa). I will never recommmend this service to anyone now nor will I ever. I have a headache that I have named Green Dot. Money that is rightfully mine will not get to me for another 10 days. This is just ludicrous.

    Heads up, I have been banking with this company for awhile now and just a couple months ago someone hacked my account and wiped me out. I was devastated so I called Green Dot and filed a dispute. I disputed 15 transactions that cost me over $325. Well my first dispute was denied. I called them and all I got was "we have no answers at this time" I asked to speak with the dispute department and the response I received was "we are unable to get ahold of them right now" so I filed another dispute, I am furious about this whole situation. Well I just checked today and it was denied again! I found a lawyer online for this specific bank with these very specific issues. I will fight till I get my money back! I am not a rich person so any of my money is very valuable to me!!

    So please think before using because anyone is obviously allowed to take your money. When this happened I became a victim but because Green Dot denied me twice they're making me look like the criminal! All I want is my money back because I never approved someone to charge 15 transactions within a 3 day period for over $325!! Watch out!!

    I’ve been having an ongoing issue with Green Dot since last year 2018. I was under the impression that my account was closed up until now when Green Dot sent me a new card saying that they want me back. This then raised a red flag and I discovered that they still have my account open and active but blocked me from having access to my funds.

    There are a few ways to load your prepaid card and one way is by MoneyPak. MoneyPak cards can be purchased by yourself or from anyone else who wants to give you any money as a gift, etc. I was given a MoneyPak card in the amount of $50. The original person who purchased the MoneyPak and gave it to me later decided that they wanted to not give it to me and tried loading the number themself then reported it lost or stolen. Immediately Green Dot flagged my account and I completely agree with why the company will do that. Being that I wasn’t the person who purchased the MoneyPak and I don’t have a receipt Green Dot placed my account on hold and it will be a permanent hold unless I have the receipt that I didn’t have in the first place.

    I have other funds in the account that Green Dot is hanging onto, while I cant access yet Green Dot is taking monthly fees out every month for the past 9 months and still going. It’s been an ongoing battle and I told Green Dot several times that it was given to me and if the person who claimed that it’s no longer mine but there’s to go ahead and take the $50 load and let me have access to my funds or cancel my account.

    What makes it worse is they said that I cannot close my account or do anything unless I provide documents that I told them every single time I do not have. Customer service told me that they can take funds up to 2 years if there’s a balance and if I didn’t have a balance the most they will take out is 2 months which is $15 or until the balance is zero.

    Any company with quality service will do what's right and fair but not Green Dot. Does this make any sense? I have been victimized by the company for not letting me use my account yet Green Dot can take funds for their own service that isn’t provided to me the consumer? All I want is my account to be closed, Green Dot can keep my money since they will find every way to keep it and not have anything to do with this company. Their response to my request for closing my account is that they cant because there’s a “hold.” Any other corporation will close the account the first thing especially if it has been flagged.

    Beware. This company will flag your account and not let you have access to it while they take out funds on their end. They will not listen to anything you say other than they can’t do anything or have any type of resolution in the end but to only benefit them. Please read all of the reviews before anyone else becomes victimized. This company will hang onto your information and will not let you have any control of your account and also will not let you close it if you have a balance. But remember the balance that I have they will not let me use so this gives them a reason to keep it active and take out funds until they eventually bring your balance to zero.

    Intuit signed me up for a GreenDot card, without my permission. It took 4 days to figure out that who was responsible - Green Dot or Intuit. Both claimed I didn't have an account. Green Dot finally admitted that someone had set up an account in my name, and my refund was there. They then refused me access, saying I would need to pay for a new card, and then re-setup an account, all the while, my social and date of birth failed to bring up an account in their automated system. The first rep 'blocked' the account, and then hung up on me.

    The second refused to do anything until I sent her my driver's license, Social, and utility bill to an unsecured email. Given that they'd pretty much admitted to allowing someone to steal my identity, I was not willing to do so. She then said she could try to have someone call me back, but it could take up to a month for anything to get fixed. I know it's pennies on the dollars. But it's not even the tax refund now - my identity is possibly been stolen and their response was to make it worse. Not better.

    Updated on 04/25/2019: I have been on the phone with 7 different reps over the last 4 days trying to not only get the blocked removed from my account but also the proper information. Every person I talk to gives me a different answer and the runaround. What started as, "Just send us your ID and wait 2 business days and it will be unlocked quickly" turned into 2-5 days to being reviewed and then MAYBE unlocked. My ID, my husband's ID and several other documents were required and now they seem irritated that I keep calling. What else am I suppose to do? I need my money that has been blocked on my card.

    I keep talking to people that completely say something different from the agent prior. Perhaps this situation wouldn't be so bad if this company actually had A PROTOCOL that they stick to. I have dealt with all kinds of banks, fraud on an account, verifying myself and such else and it has NEVER been this difficult or taken this long. All of our documents go to the fraud department so no one can give me info yet I can't speak to anyone in fraud who possibly could have answers for me.

    This is just wrong how they are doing their customers. I have nothing wrong but use the service that they advertise and now I'm stuck with no money, gas, food. My son needs diapers. I can't go to work next week because I can't pay for daycare. Like these unnecessary steps and hoops we as consumers are having to go through is causing hardship. How in the world does a prepaid card cause so much hardship to so many people and nothing is seeming to be done. And the customer service is HORRIBLE. Apparently we are bothering the agents by constantly calling about OUR MONEY! My mind is blown at this ridiculous situation.

    Good thing my husband is military and his superiors have referred him to our legal department who is VERY MUCH INTERESTED in their policies and legality of them. I will say this. I have gotten much farther with info by calling this number 1-866-652-4611 then press 1 then press **. They are English speaking, located in California and claim to be corporate.

I wake up at 6am on a Monday showing I have received my tax refund deposit. I go to open the app and got a error saying that my account has been blocked. So I call them and end up talking to 3 people throughout the day. I went round and round, had them put in for a supervisor "callback" since one continuously seemed to not be around. Well I never got that call. When I spoke with 2nd lady she said I needed to send my driver license, receipt for IRS (Which they DON'T GIVE OUT) and my pay stub. Why in the hell would you need my pay stub to verifiy anything for a tax refund, one time deposit.

    She advised to call once I sent in documents and they will review it. So I did but of course was told "Yes we received your info, but I can't see what the info is and I can't tell you if that will be enough to unblock your account." WTF?! Are they serious?! How do you block me for no reason, then tell me different things I need to submit then tell me you can't tell me if I need to send more documentation it. Instead I am to wait this phantom 48 hours and call again. Why? Why is this process so hard and they keep saying it's to protect me. Seems like the only protection I need is from their thieving, lying and deceitful company policies. How does Walmart endorse this nonsense and looking online and seeing that they have been doing this for years, how? Seriously how are they getting away with this.

    Whenever I tried to cancel my card online it told me to call the number on the back of the card. But whenever I called that number a robot was presented to me. when I entered my info it said it was wrong and yet knowing it was the right info as I wrote it down it keeps saying it was wrong. Then I emailed the company and they still did not answer. Now my accounts is negative when I'm trying to cancel it. Please, Someone help me.

    I have an ongoing issue with a recurring bill pay. The money was taken from my account but days later, the bill is still not paid. My issue isn't the technical difficulty, these things happen. My issue is the lack of concern and lack of assistance. I've called every other day (I skip a day to give time for updates) to have this corrected and nothing is complete, nor does it seem like it will be. I've been a Green Dot customer for almost 10 years and this experience has me rethinking going back to the traditional banks.

    I have been a Green Dot user for many years and never had an issue until I attempted to use a Chase Bank ATM and it did not dispense my funds. I have a dispute in for 10 days and still haven't gotten my money back, $623.00! My electricity will be turned off tomorrow and my landlord is threatening to evict us without his payment balance!     I filed 2 disputes for services not being received on separate cards and they were denied. They stated a letter was sent but would not accept or provide a reason for the denial. I stated if they deny a dispute for services not rendered then to cancel my cards and I will no longer do business with them. If they deny claims for services not rendered then I do not wish to do business with them and suggest no one else does as well.

    Hello I am supposed to be a newcomer to the all wonderful Green Dot family. After receiving and activating my card, I made a direct deposit transfer from my business savings to the Green Dot card. Immediately my account was blocked. When I called in the female agent said they are investigating the funds transfer which will last 4 hours. 6 hours later my card still isn't active. I called back and a rude guy verified me from top to bottom. I provided everything he asked to verify my identity. He said because it's a large deposit (<1000) they will investigate the source of funds. I clearly explained to him that I initiated the transfer from my business account. He said I should send in my ID, I explained my ID is expired and I had recently moved to my current location. I asked if there are any other form of identification acceptable, and he said the account will remain blocked until I get a new ID. Replacement ID in Minnesota takes about 6 weeks. I have been left stranded by your policies, this would mean more debt for me. I already gave up on this matter, until I came here. If there is any way you guys could assist me to gain access to my money, It would go a long way to help me out please.

    A friend of mine purchased a MoneyPak card so I could put some money on my Rushcard account for emergency situation. I tried to log onto my account and they asked for a copy of my Identification so I downloaded that and sent it and it was accepted but then I get an email saying my Identification wasn’t accepted and my account was locked and cannot be unlocked. I was never able to speak to someone about this matter via their customer service phone number. I filled out forms and they replied very vaguely and never answered my questions. It was all routine and seemed computer generated responses. I filled out a form for a refund and now have to wait 1-2 weeks for a check.

    I’ve read so many bad reviews about this company after the fact and I would of never used their services if I had seen these reviews sooner. Now I’m worried that I won’t receive my money and I sent my Driver license copy and worry about fraud with my Identification being used online. Bad customer service and no customer communication through their phone number.

    I opened my Green Dot cc account in January 2019, I initially secured the account with a 1500.00 deposit. Green Dot said my card and funds would be available with 7 days. 7 days turned into three weeks. I was asked to provide a copy of a voided check, so I did. Green Dot said they needed to check with my financial institution and verify ownership of my account. This took another 10 days.

    When I finally received my card, I made a few small purchases. I made my first payment prior to the due date. After Green Dot received my payment, they put a block on my card. I called Green Dot to see what the problem was. Green Dot staff demanded that I provide 3 months of complete bank statements. They said they needed the statements in order to unlock my account. Green Dot also reported my account as being closed by the grantor, the status of closed by grantor has been reported to all three major credit reporting agencies. Green Dot Staff tells me the account is not closed, it’s just frozen.

    I have offered to send a copy of the credit files to Green Dot executive staff. The Customer service (Manager) tells me that I am not entitled to access his information. I am not entitled to know who I may contact at the executive level. Green Dot will not allow me to pay the outstanding balance because the account is frozen. Green Dot Will not return the fund less the outstanding credit charges. Green Dot insist That I dispute the initial charges and withdrawal from my account for the initial deposit.

    Green Dot Knows that is not a solution, because as they have stated in the past. I signed a contract and they have verified the account. So, if the account is verified then why are they demanding 3 months of complete bank statements? Why are they telling me I have the option to close my account that is already being reported as closed by the credit grantor? Why will it then take 3-4 months for Green Dot to return my funds to me and only if I choose to close the account that has already been closed by the credit grantor.

    I've tried 3 different phones to register your card on. I use these a lot and change out my cards about 3 times a month, when typing information in to register, it keep jumping from where I typed to another line then you have to click back up an hit one # at a time. As it keeps jumping to a lower row. Needs a tech support for your website.

    I rent a Green Dot card customer for years. I have two cards on this pic with card I share with my son because he has ADHD so his deposits goes on my card. All of a sudden they locked it up. I sent in all our information to verify my docs at greendot.com, court.com and they sell two days is beating like in 2 days then 3 days later they never contact me.

    I checked on it and it's all we need something else. Nobody sending me no emails telling me how many. Something up so it's been two weeks. They have everything they need and they still won't unlock. My card is thousands of dollars on in. My son was going to purchase a card and he can't even purchase his card. He's already did the paperwork so now he don't have the money to pay for in his payroll check keep going to the card and they will not give him the money. Please help me. It's been two weeks. They got all the documents they supposed to have and they still won't unlock my card and won't let me talk to nobody who reviews it. They have a review department that you can't talk to.

    I lost my wallet and ordered a new card. The card was lost in the mail so I ordered a new card. I was in the hospital so I had my daughter go to the house and pick up my card. Not knowing it wasn’t the newest card activated it. So then when they knew card came they had put a stop to my card and I was told there was NO WAY TO UNDO what was done. Meanwhile MY SOCIAL SECURITY WAS DEPOSITED TO THE CARD. I sent them the id the mail to verify me, 2 weeks 4 business days they said so I called when my refund never showed up. I was told there was a mistake and another 2 1/2 weeks gone by there be a refund check in the mail so another month of social security was added on to my card. So now we have 2 months of no money.

    I am a cancer patient. These people have caused me to lose my truck, my home everything by withholding my money for what has been 2 months. They been telling me my refund should be in the mail but I get the mail and never shows up. Now they are telling me they want to cancel my check again and I have to wait another 2 1.2 weeks. I have already made a complaint to the attorney generals in California. Also I am always told someone will call me. Nobody every calls you ever!!!! This is a scam. I want my money. This is illegal for a bank to hold your money from you for over 2 months???? I am on federal social security lost my home, my vehicle everything because these won’t give the me my money... There was no fraud just a misplaced my card. Refuse to send me my money overnight. Refuse to send it with a tracking number.

    I have had several issues while using this card including the most recent being a fraudulent charge made to my account in the amount of $118. When I contacted customer service I was told that since the charge is pending there was nothing they could do even though the money has been taken out of my account. I need this money to pay bills but the supervisor I spoke with showed no concern and actually hung up on me. The customer service with this company is horrible and I would suggest looking for a different prepaid card. This is not the one you want.

    I have $381 on my GreenDot card. The GreenDot card won't work. Every time I call they tell me there's nothing they can do about it. Olympics card and didn't send the money back to me. I have been fighting with them for over 6 weeks. My best advice if you get a Green Dot card for $20 on it find a different one.

    I am so disgusted with the services that Green Dot offers!!! I purchased a temporary card for my daughter that would be travelling out of town without me recently and she ran out of money so I purchased a Moneypak reload only to find out that I can't even load her card!!!! I called every stinking number they have listed on the website, the back of the card and wherever else I could find a number for them to try and reach a live person as to explain my dilemma to no avail. AND when I finally did touch basis with a "live" person, I was disconnected and when I attempted to call back, my call wouldn't go through.

    They talk of protecting you from a scam/fraud; THIS COMPANY IS THE FRAUD!!!! They took the service fee within an hour of the card being activated and now my daughter is 3,000 miles away without me being able to get her any type of reserve funding in case she needs it. I don't know about other parents but this was my go to method to ensure she wouldn't go broke and I'm not available to her - NOT ANYMORE! I will never do business with Green Dot and I will expressly inform everyone I know not to utilize their services for any reason period. Why?!! Because now, I just got the call that she does need the reserve money but guess what?! I can't send it to her. So, she's far away from home with no money. Thanks Green Dot for all that you do to make life convenient for not only the students but the parents as well.

    Could not activate card online. Tried calling but Could not activate over phone. Impossible to reach anybody much less someone that could help me with the simple task of activating my card. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CARD. Definitely by far the absolute worst experience I've ever had with any Debit, Credit, even gift card. Plus the fees are way too high.

    I have been using this card a little over 2 years because I get my direct deposit sooner on this card than I would with my Wells Fargo account. They change things all the time without forewarning (I.e. daily withdrawal limit which is only $400 now) and customer service is not friendly at all. I have had to call them everyday for about 2 weeks now about a transaction dispute and they are giving me the run around so after I withdraw all of my money from this card I will just go back to solely using my Wells Fargo account. If you are looking for a prepaid debit card DO NOT use this one because if something ever goes wrong and you have to contact customer service or file a dispute, you are going to have to deal with some of the rudest customer service reps you have ever witnessed! Oh and I doubt they will ever refund the money for the dispute even though it’s Visa’s Zero Liability Policy.

    I purchased a $20 gift card. With the cost of $1.95 plus $20 I thought I was good to go. I spent many, many, many attempts to get it registered. I thought it was a simple process to activate it but it entailed way too much trouble. When finally I got past the "We can't help right now, try again" I got an automated call that was about a survey I didn't want to take. After a lot of unnecessary automated conversation, I was asked for all of my personal information, such as date of birth, social security info, address... for a $20 gift card. The ordeal took almost 45 minutes for a process that should have taken 10 minutes.

    Today I checked the balance to make sure everything was in order and I find I have a balance of $12.05. I WAS CHARGED A $7.95 FEE. Your process for activating/registering a card is absurd; the fees are unrealistic to the point of saying it's absurd. I bought a $20 card and unused it's worth $12.05. I felt very disturbed after the whole experience; I am now taking it up with Walgreens. They need to know about your cards, the inconvenient and intrusive way of setting it up and the excessive fees you charge. I'm sure the average buyer just thinks they're getting a gift card for the graduate or as a birthday gift. Little do they know the value is less than they think.

    Green Dot sells their banking debit cards at 7-11s in my area. My 15 year old son went to buy a gift card, and inadvertently bought this. The packaging was the same, it was next to the gift cards. And the "not a gift card" disclaimer was hidden under packaging. Then my kid tried to go activate what he thinks is his gift card, and in the process opens a bank account in his name for Green Dot Bank. No ID, no verification, no parent's consent. I tried to resolve this with 7-11 to no avail. They informed me they can sell bank accounts to kids because it is not alcohol or tobacco.

    I tried to resolve it with Green Dot, expressing to them they allowed a 15 year old child to open an account and agree to their draconian terms with no parental consent. Mind you, getting an actual person to talk to you at Green Dot is like trying to speak with the leader of a nation. They refused to refund my son's money, and refused to close the account. Their only option for me was to "use the account". Which quite frankly I don't want to. The terms are horrendous. Simply put... This is predatory banking. They had a chance to simply make it right and they refused. Please take your business elsewhere.

    I have used Green Dot's prepaid debit card on and off for several years, sporadically with little issue. HOWEVER this was THE FIRST YEAR I used my Green Dot account to direct deposit my Tax refund. This BIG ISSUE is THIS: When you log in to your account on the Green Dot's website (Not the mobile site OR the mobile app, but the actual "desktop site", like via laptop computer)...and you go to the option for you to get needed account info for tax refund to be direct deposited into your bank account... It provides you with the wrong account number. The routing number is correct, but the bank account number is an incorrect, 12 digit number, that turns out to be a completely different number, than your actual account number, which turns out to be a 16 digit number!

    For some reason, your actual account number, and the one you need to provide on your tax refund for direct deposit into Green Dot bank account, is only available when using the mobile app (you click the option for "Info needed to have your tax refund direct deposited into your Green Dot account, same option you click on via the desktop/computer website that provides you with the wrong and completely different 12 digit account number) is a completely different 16 digit account number, but the 16 digit number turns out to be the "Correct" bank account number I should have been provided with instead of the wrong 12 digit number!) BUT...UNFORTUNATELY for me, I did NOT find this out until WELL after I had sent in my tax return (I found out 4 days before my refund was supposed to be sent to my bank account!)

    I found this out when I was reading a website forum for people to talk about tax refunds, and read a post of many others who found out about this mistake only when they found out the bank had rejected their incoming tax refund due to wrong account number, and the found out that Green Dot's website had provided them with the wrong 12 digit number, and I realized I too had been a VICTIM of this. IT IS TOO LATE TO MAKE ANY CHANGES WITH MY TAX REFUND WITH THE IRS and now I will have to wait for the IRS to get my refund sent back to them, then wait UP TO 10 WEEKS for a PAPER CHECK to be mailed to me (which will COST MONEY to have it cashed!!!)

    What's worse? This same issue has been happening since at least 2017 apparently, so why has this not been fixed, and how has this been allowed to, not only happen, but to continue to be an issue for years? I have not yet called Green Dot and spoke with someone about this, because I just found this out last night and have not had time to contact Green Dot yet, but I absolutely plan on calling them tomorrow. This is has been a nightmare for me and my fiance, who has been out of work due to an injury to his hand where he lost 2 fingers. We ended up homeless for the last 6 months, actually living in a tent in woods. My cousin recently took us in to her home 3 weeks ago while we wait for our tax refund money so that we can hopefully FINALLY rent a home, and afford food again instead of food banks.

    :'( I just can NOT believe this has happened to us. NOTHING could have been worse than this. We were COUNTING on this money SO SO MUCH. Now WHO KNOWS HOW LONG extra this may end up taking before we see any of our money, and we are in a desperate financial hardship. Why would you do something so completely misleading, deceiving, and wrong? How could you do this to not only us, but so many others, for several years now, how could you, Green Dot? PLEASE ANSWER ME. WHY?

    The limit you can withdraw at a atm or bank sucks. Its impossible to pay any kind of bill that way. I've stuck it out almost three years now with this card but every year there seems to be more and more irritating things with it. Getting info for it is impossible. Getting help with it is impossible. Its only decent purpose is to hold my money, right until the monthly charge comes out of it. Oh but you'll waive that if so much money has been put on it? HASNT HAPPEND YET. Once again if I need a large amount withdrawn nope can forget about that unless I run all over god and country trying to find an "approved" location that actually is "approved".

She put another dispute through on my account and blocked my account according to the gentleman I had spoke to after said he was going to file an executive report/complaint against her as that was wrong.

    I was then told to wait for a callback from corporate and will take two days. Well guess? What I received the call was on hold for 30 ** MINUTES to then be hung up on. I then called Green Dot back and they told me to wait another two days. This is **. I want my account unblocked. I want my thousand of dollars back that you guys are holding!!! I have two babies and this is the only bank I bank with and I’m being told one thing after another! I think I have a full case to get an ATTORNEY AND SUEEEE THIS COMPANY!!!

    Very bad and I am thinking out stopping my direct deposit that I had for year. They ask for all the information and it's all right except the phone number which is right. I don't know if this person on the phone is the one stealing my money or just don't want to find out it is me. How can I get into my account now? Do I cancel the account?

    MoneyPak cards are a prime vehicle for scammers and MoneyPak is unwilling or unable to curtail their use for scams. MONEYPAK is aware of the numerous scams that use their cards but they are unwilling to do anything to curtail their use in scams. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

    Kept in mind every month they take my money. Update every month but when get two 12 months no update. Call customer service to ask about it. They hung up on me twice when ask a question about it. So not the right attitude at all. We do everything that are part of contact. Looking for new online banking. Can't do business like this.

    Green Dot is a complete scam if you give them access to too much money. I purchased a card, uploaded 400$ and out of nowhere the money vanished. Green Dot sent me an email stating they would send me a paper check in the mail and I have never received anything.

    I have a transaction that never took place on my card. I also am very unhappy with all the fees I'm charged. There's no option to chat with a customer service representative or to email. should have more options and be able to link through the plaid platform for budgeting apps.

    First of all I do not like it that I cannot get withdraw more than 400 at the atm but other than that I love Green Dot. Been with them for years. And second of all the fees are too high and the other thing is you let people get money off the card instead of calling the customer to approve the purchase.
