You are kind of thieves borrow money to people and you do like that. We cannot call or email you just because you are thieves. I pay more than but you still charge me.

IF I COULD GIVE 10 ZERO STARTS I WOULD!!!! They closed my account because they said I missed a payment that I never missed. I had an acct with them a few years ago, closed it and the checking account that I was using. I opened a new account w them and started paying out of a different account. Payments were never missed and on time. They closed my account because they said when I opened the new account, they transferred all the information from the old account, including the closed checking acct #.
When I made payments from my new acct, they were trying to get money from both accts. When the payment from the closed acct was rejected, they counted that as a returned payment BUT the payment was going through on my OPEN acct. When asked why and how would this be possible? They said it's the system and they have to go by what the system says. So they were trying to get payments from me out of two different accounts at the same time. They did not send me any notices or emails, had they done so, I could have let them know that the other account had been closed years ago. DO NOT DEAL W THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE VERY, VERY SHADY! BE VERY CAUTIOUS!

Worst bank ever. They gave me $300 credit card. When I received the card and activate it, it doesn't work because I had zero available balance. Couple days later I logged in, there's $75 charge for annual fees. SMH, how can you charged someone when they haven't use the card yet? So when I called in, they said I need to send in my DL to verify. Huh? How come you didn't do that before you approve me? How come you don't tell me there's $75 annual fees for a $300 credit card when I applied? Wtf 75 out of 300 card ? And why you charged someone when they haven't used your product yet? This is not how banks work. This is more like a scam.

Called me 23 times in a week from different numbers. I missed one payment a few months back and suddenly my 300 dollar credit limit is stating I owe Almost 500 now. Before I missed the first payment it was only down to 227 which didn’t make sense because at that time I was making payments on time and way more than 90$. I stopped trying to work with them after explaining what I can Afford to pay and them not accepting it. Now I’m getting calls multiple times per day from different numbers. This is harassment by law and is illegal.

I'm sorry to say but this is the worst credit card I've ever had as in payment wise. No matter when I pay it or not it always tells me that I'm negative and credit line when I wasn't a few days before and I have not used this credit card in a while because I need to pay it off. I thought it was going to be a good credit card to help me get my credit back up but it for sure is not. I paid the minimum like I'm supposed to and it always saying negative. Not a fan of this credit card. It says that you would be able to pick the day that works for you and that is not true. I would have gave it zero stars but that's not allowed That's the only reason why they got one star.

If I could leave a 0 star I would. I was approved for a $2000 limit credit card with Credit One. I initially applied to pay a larger bill. The card was sent to me and I then activated it. I went to pay my large bill and it got declined. I called their customer service and they said that I needed to verify myself for security by sending them a copy of my driver's license, check stubs, and a bill with our address on it. I was so mad! I now was late paying my large expense! I sent in the information via the website and called them to have them activate my account. When I called they said that my drivers license address didn't match the one listed. They had me go get another license with the correct address.
I sat at the dol after work, got my license, sent it in, and now they want the real license, not the copy of mine until I get it in the mail. I was upset and the customer service said that all I would need to do is send in a copy of my old license stamped. I did all of this, and called back again. This time they said it will take them 7 to 10 business days to process it! What a joke! I was already approved, they mailed me my new card, and now I can't use it!!!! Not happy with them at all. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! THE CUSTOMER IS NEVER RIGHT I GUESS ANYMORE!!!

CreditOne Bank is a very desperate BATE and SCAM you company. I had a $1,800+ balance on a Visa and about $700+ on the MC with them a few years back. At first, they seem legit (Bate you in) company, then after you get a high balance, they start to scam you. While the Visa payment was always about a week ahead of the MC, I would pay both at the same time about two weeks ahead of the Visa's due date in separate envelopes. Since the Visa had a larger balance, every month they would claim that the Visa payment was late and would charge me a late fee. But the MC was always on time.
The Visa's balance kept getting higher each month even though I paid way more than the minimum. I then sent the Visa payment by certified mail two weeks before the due date, but the mail deliver failed to do their job and have the receiver signed the letter with the payment inside. So CreditOne claimed that the payment was late again, and my balance went up again. This time I mailed both payments in the same envelope two weeks ahead of the Visa's due date. CreditOne claimed that they received only the MC payment but not the Visa payment even though they were both in the same envelope. My Visa card climbed higher again due to the late fee being added again.
Final straw, I called one of their representatives and paid the full $1,800+ for the Visa and $700+ for the MC with my sister's card and cancelled both of their cards. While paying my sister back in cash the CreditOne rep had the nerve to ask me if he could make me a deal on a new card...I almost cursed him out, but instead I just hung up the phone on him. They are still sending me offers through the mail even though I have called them and said that I just throw away their letters because it is junk mail.

I would give it a zero if available. They sent me a pre qualified letter. I accepted, filled out ALL documents they requested. Shipped me the card with my name on it. REPORTED to the credit bureau HOWEVER I wasn’t fully approved for the funds. So it basically shows I have a credit limit that’s not available to me BUT the card is reporting to the credit bureaus PLUS I OWE them monthly fees and $75 yearly fee so I have a BALANCE on a credit card I can’t use. If I CLOSE the account it will be a negative on my credit report.
I provided them ADDITIONAL documentation ID, Paystubs, proof of address NO RESPONSE FOR WEEKS. Then finally get a call saying my documents were not good enough they now require a W2!!!! What credit card company asks for W2s !!?? They basically are solicitors and don’t actually have a solid foundation as a reliable company and they know that and they accept it. Do not use credit one bank credit card it’s not worth it it’s more of a headache for a low limit credit card. The worst ever I’m saying by a long shot.

If you receive any advertisements for this credit card, burn it, shred it, use it for compost or toilet paper, because this card's only main goal is to take your 'hard-earned' money for what they want - hint interest. I had used the card, made the payments and even used 'express' payment. But now they are saying my birthday is incorrect and I was the one who filled out the application and put my 'correct' date in there. My parents and I are very much aware of the 'correct' date. You would not believe the amount of 'hoops' they make you go through and it wasn't even your fault but theirs.
When you talk to a so-called customer service person (or the so-called manager) and ask to speak to a supervisor, well, you're probably not because it is the same issue about the birthdate and they are 'NOT WILLING' to help. So, do not get this card and if you do (you're an idiot like me) pay it off as quickly as possible! One thing that also might help, tell your family and friends what happened to ensure that it doesn't happen to them. Make sure they tell their friends, and so on, and so on, and so on. DO NOT GET CREDIT 1 CREDIT CARD!

Since February 27th, I have been repeatedly assured that reimbursement for this fraudulent charge would be processed within a specified timeframe (initially 7 days, then 14, and now a full month). These assurances have proven unreliable, and the delays have caused significant inconvenience and frustration. My interactions with customer service representatives have, unfortunately, been characterized by unprofessional conduct and misleading information. I pay my credit cards off every month, before the payment date and don’t use it until after the statement date. Pay close attention to your credit report and score if you have Credit One. They are very unreliable when reporting good credit habits. They won’t to keep your credit score low because they make more money off you when your credit isn’t good. My experience with this bank is somewhat good and bad. They give you more credit as you pay off your monthly balances regularly, but it comes with some consequences financially. They have many fees, so if you are willing to pay the fees then they will work on your credit, but they also report you to the credit agencies without giving you a chance to explain and they are slow to increase your credit limits even when you are getting pay raises at work. After that I was able to use my card twice and then every single charge was flagged as fraud and they refused to do anything about it. After calling and trying to cancel it they refuse to cancel my account and told me to just try doing a cash advance or just try using my card at another merchant and if that didn't work to just wait about 5 days and try to use my card again.
After another 2 weeks I was able to use my card and when it came time to pay them they accepted my payment and then returned it five times. And then the very next day after my bill was due they started emailing me and calling me multiple times a day harassing me about my late payment even though I continue to try and pay them and they continue to accept my payment but then refund it stating that my bank account I was paying them from had insufficient funds. (Receipts were requested however if the transaction was fraudulent there will be no receipts). I have contacted customer service department multiple times via email and phone, but my concerns have been consistently dismissed.
The lack of responsiveness and the perceived prioritization of the merchant's interests over those of a loyal customer are deeply troubling. The lack of transparency in their investigation process further exacerbates my frustration. Their app and web site SUCKS and of then they lock your account. My credit score went up and I’m cancelling my card as soon as I finish typing this message. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT get this credit card or you will be dealing with a DIFFICULT stupid bank. Cheers!

If you ever have to deal with fraudulent charges, this company is extremely difficult to work with. I had to involve the police in order to get my money back. It took me many months, numerous back-and-forth emails and phone calls. I had to provide every piece of evidence I had, only for them to repeatedly tell me that they were denying any fraudulent charges. They even gave me a hard time about canceling my account after everything. Every time I called for help, I had difficulty understanding their representatives, who all seemed to be from India. I was hung up on multiple times. It was so extremely frustrating! My other credit card companies issued fraud alerts right away and were extremely helpful throughout the whole process, without any issues at all. Credit One was the only bank that made it nearly impossible to get my money back.

I accepted a $600 line of credit with these users. There was a $39 annual fee (red flag), but I'm looking to improve my credit. I am credit-worthy and do pay my bills, to those who assume that people who complain do not. They sent me a bill for the $39 annual fee and the first transaction I attempted was declined. I called customer service and was told a lock had been put on my account until I provided "proof" of identity through a driver's license, proof of address - such as a utility bill and my...wait for it...W2. You knew where to mail my bill, though didn't you? I told them to close the account and I am refusing any requests for payment for a card that was issued with the sole purpose of stealing an annual fee and giving no credit in return. They are complete frauds and liars. Good riddance.

So, with all this being said and me attempting to let Credit One Bank assist me in rebuilding my credit by keeping their card in my wallet, it surely has not. By accepting this card, paying for services I did not receive, then holding onto it I found that they did help with my credit but, this wasn’t for a better score. The card was cancelled and this, in fact, did impact my score negatively. Thank you Credit One for being so great at your job. Next time you want to send a “you’re reapproved” kindly reconsider. I hope this lengthy review reaches all of your potential clients and they choose wisely with a different card. But if you try to use it, it will not let you. I tried to use it to pay for my tires and was only able to use $325 due to the limit restriction and charges. So now I owe over $500 and only used $325! Also, THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD AT ALL. I tried to set up auto pay and it charges you over $7 to use the auto pay. So I set my alarm to pay it direct. As a result, I have had no problems with it. The online portal is easy to use, as is the app. I believe the people who are writing poor reviews either didn't read the fine print when they applied, or carry high balances. Had I canceled the card after activating it, and even without using it, there would have been a $30 fee. The agent told me the second year and on annual fee would be $99. Avoid the Credit One Credit Secure Card. I obtained a Credit One Secure bank credit card in December 2023, and everything was running smoothly until recently. I made a change to my bank and cleared my credit card balance using my new account on the 16th of this month. However, Credit One Bank is currently withholding my funds and has refused to credit my account until they verify my new bank, as they consider the payment a risk due to the different payment methods used. They informed me that they required a bank statement or a letter from the bank to confirm my account, but my new online bank stated they do not issue such documents, though they offered to confirm my account via a three-way call.
I made the call to Credit One alongside my bank, but they declined to communicate with their representative and insisted that I take a screenshot of my banking details and the transaction, then email it to them for verification. I have submitted this information, yet they continue to withhold my funds. I fail to see how the payment method is relevant when the bank acknowledges receipt of funds without justification for the hold. Additionally, I discovered that Credit One is facing a lawsuit for excessive interest charges and failure to apply payments received to accounts, among other grievances. Credit One has been implicated in a class action lawsuit in a federal court in New York by two customers who allege that the credit card company unlawfully imposed fees for express online payments.
The plaintiffs argue that they incurred charges for making 'express payments' online, even though the payments were processed by the company's automated system. In 2014, another class action complaint was filed against Credit One Bank in federal court in Chicago. Additionally, a proposed class action was brought against Credit One Bank in Florida in 2016. The allegations claim that Credit One has exploited consumers' lack of comprehension regarding the 'material risks, costs, or conditions' associated with making express payments. Therefore, I urge everyone to avoid Credit One Bank.

Credit One sucks!!!! I was approved for $300 a few months ago. Activated the card and everything was fine until this month. Every month I pay the card in full. I paid the full balance, paid the $7.95 express payment fee. Noticed my available balance was still zero. I called. They told me I had to verify my identity. Sent them the requested documents. Denied my utility bill because it had my service address as my residence but it also had my po Box address on there because I don't get mail at my residence. They said that wasn't good enough. I am still fighting with them to release my available credit. They aren't making any money off of me in interest because I pay the card in full each month way before the due date. I said this to the representative and he told me, yes it's possible that's why they froze my credit so I can't use it. I am closing the card tomorrow.

Absolutely the worst credit card company out there. My wife was approved for Credit One's American Express. She received the card and activated it. A month later she tried to use it to purchase something and the card was declined. When she called Credit One to ask why the card was declined, they told her that they had cancelled the card because she hadn't used it. Absolutely ridiculous. She applied with a different credit card company and upon receiving her card called to confirm that she didn't have to use it right away. If I could give a zero rating, I would give that. I have nothing but negative to say about Credit One bank and would NEVER NEVER NEVER recommend them to anyone--even if that person had a 2 credit score. I would advise EVERYONE WITH A LOW CREDIT SCORE TO get a secured card for $100 or $200 (save your pennies until you have that amount), buy something for $10 or $15 that you can easily pay back BEFORE THE STATEMENT DATE, continue that process for 5 or 6 months--you will eventually have a card that becomes unsecured and you can continue to build your credit from there (Open Sky is a great example--also Capital One). CREDIT ONE takes advantage of those with poor credit by charging high interest fees and high annual fees.
I called today to suspend my cards as I lost them (because I no longer use them); I also wanted to know the status (what charges have they placed on the cards) because I know they love to charge you even when you don't use the card. I had paid BOTH cards off in full (had zero balances on both) in 2023 and did not use them in 2024 because I planned to get rid of them. I spoke to Jack, who after getting my full SS# (I had initially provided just the last four numbers), told me that the cards had been charged off.
I asked for the last 4 digits of each card and he told me that he could not provide them to me because I had to provide them to him. I told him that the cards were lost --he continued to tell me that he needed the last 4. I asked him for the last 4 of each card and he told me that he would "love to give you that but cannot unless you give me the numbers". He then told me that I had to call the collection agency to find out about the charge-offs and the last 4 numbers of each card. When I asked Jack for the name and number of the collection agency, what do you think Jack said, "I don't have those information Ma'am"; he then put me on hold for a few seconds, returned to the line, and read something because I heard him say something like "cease and desist"-I did not bother to ask him to clarify because the entire conversation was a waste.
I asked him how I was supposed to contact the collection agency if I received neither a call nor a letter regarding collections--he continued to say I had to call the collection agency. I asked for a Supervisor or for the survey and was told (which I knew was a lie) that it would be sent to my email (a survey that was supposed to start at the end of the call). Surprisingly (not really), I received no email. I am now going to get my credit reports and dispute anything from Credit One.

I am not even using the card but yet I am over the limit and all Credit One Bank does is report me to the credit bureau for being over my limit. I then asked if it would affect my account in any way and the supervisor told me no that I would still be able to make payments using my bank account and everything would pretty much be fine. Now October 30th 2024 I received an email around 8pm pacific time where in the email I was informed my account has been closed. Leading me to contact credit one more than 4 times. I've been with Credit One for over a year. I started off with a $500 secured credit card, and about three months ago I received a credit offer of $1500 in the mail via USPS, which I accepted and was approved for. Unfortunately, since then, I have not received the card, and I have called several times but to no avail. Over the course of these three months, I've talked to multiple representatives who said that the card was sent out twice, but I doubt they are telling the truth. My mailing address, personal information, and 2FA text codes on the account were verified each time. Yesterday, I talked to a supervisor who told me he would send out the card via FedEx and that a tracking number would be provided, but I have yet to receive electronic notification of this.
This morning, when I opened my Credit One app and website, I now only see the $500 credit line, and the $1500 credit line is completely gone. This whole process has caused me a great deal of inconvenience. I called and spoke to a supervisory representative today, and they said that the $1500 is still there but will not appear online for me to view for another 48-72 hours. However, these last three months of me requesting the card, the $1500 credit line was never removed from my account. Why not? I suspect these people are engaging in unscrupulous business practices. Furthermore, all of the representatives have strong accents and provide common American names, which makes me question the authenticity of their names.

Like most I have a Credit One credit card to rebuild credit. I did have a late payment towards the beginning but have not had one in almost 2 years. My biggest issue is their reporting practices to the credit companies. I am well aware of the 30% rule however emergencies happen. This is why we have a credit card. When I use the card and go over the 30% usage. It is reported to my credit bureaus immediately. And by immediately I mean within three days. Like I've used it on a Friday and by Monday it's reported to my credit. Before the end of the billing cycle. Before the bill hits. Before I even have a chance to pay it. I.E the payment is not late. If I had the money to pay it off in three days I would not have used the card. Even if I was planning on paying it off the next month. My credit score then drops 40 to 80 points. Each time. This is not an exaggeration
When I do pay it off it takes 30 to 45 days for it to get reported to the credit bureaus. Well after billing Cycles close. Then my score goes up maybe 20 points. ( I know some of that may be on the credit bureau itself). However my score should not go down the second I use it and then take 45 days to go back up once I pay it off. I've only used it maybe three times over the 30% usage and I cannot recover. Again this is not late payments this is just using.
I can't cancel the card because I just paid off my car loan and my score went down because that account closed, so I can't cancel another one and I don't want to apply for any card til my score is over 700 (i was so close) because I know it will drop again and I don't think I will get approved for anything much better at this point. The whole thing is designed to keep you down. I would not get this card again for the punishing factor that comes with using it.

A plan that I never opted in for. I called to make a complaint, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, they put me on hold, and then hung up on me moments later. I called a second time and the same thing occurred. I called a third time and immediately asked for the representative's name, and this time they didn't hang up on me, but connected me to a supervisor.
After explaining the issue that I never opted in for this plan, the supervisor apologized and told me that he could refund some of the fees, but I told them that I would like them all refunded because, again I did not opt-in for this program. He told me they would send me a letter in the mail in 10 days with their decision. After 10 days of no letter, I called again.

I was livid and said no that isn't cash back and I never asked you to raise my limit. I'm really pissed because they also charged me a $95 fee the day after I made that purchase. The mailer never said there was a yearly fee. So basically they send you pre approved offer letters to get you to sign up, but once you have the card they charge you fees they shouldn't charge and don't honor the offer. I will be closing this account soon. Was a huge waste of my time and the app sucks as well. I regret getting this card! Don't waste your time!

I paid off my actual balance and disputed the charge several times, to which they did nothing, and after they harassed me via telephone for weeks on end, I told them I wouldn’t pay a cent more so they closed both of my accounts with them and sent it to collections. DESTROYED my credit. Do NOT use this company for ANYTHING. They need to be investigated and shut down immediately.

Credit One Bank treats you like a child by locking your card for week for using it on websites they say gives the impression for fraud. I made a payment 2 weeks before it was due and paid more than my payment to increase my credit limit and help improve my credit score. I called to make sure I would be able to use the my card at the grocery store. The person reassured me that all was good. I could use the card. They locked my card on the first try. I tried it again thinking it was the card machine. It was locked so I had to leave my groceries and go outside to call. The person said They locked it because I tried use it multiple times, They again said I wasn't allow to use it for a week, like a punishment, Today I called to ask for permission to use the card I spoke with MR. ** a supervisor. I asked if I could just withdraw cash at the ATM, if he could please unlock my card. He said sure and sure enough I put my card in and it locked!
I called back again. They said they locked for multiple tries and I only tried it once with their permission and I had to upload docs ~Drivers License and Utilities. I called back after I did what they wanted. They had me on hold till it was clear. They were going to keep on hold till I hung up. This is not worth it. My credit limit was $300.00. Out of that $300.00 $75.00 is approved cash withdrawal BUT Really this what you get $300.00 Credit line - $75.00 annual fee = $275.00 Which is really your credit amount. They take the $75.00 off the top of the $300.00. So you're making two payment. The $75.00 fee and your monthly payment. To top it off they locked your card and treat you like a Child who just committed fraud by using your card and they lower your credit score for your trouble.

I do not recommend it; I thought this company was good after seeing positive reviews, but it is not what I imagined. One issue is that they charge you for making a payment to the account if you want to have more credits available and lower the balance because they will charge you $7.95. Now, if you pay using standard payment, you will have to wait 7 days, and that can be problematic. For instance, if you have a direct bill charge to your account and you do not have enough credit, then they will not allow the transaction. Another thing is that they charge you almost $100 a year to have your credit card. As I see it, it seems like a scam by Credit One, as that's not how Bank of America, Discover, or others operate. Credit One makes billions in profits with all these fees they charge and then adds very high interest rates.

I highly do not recommend this company. My experience in 7 days has been horrible with several declines and my card being blocked because the company suspects each transaction is being made with fraudulent vendors. This includes chain merchants. They have a scripted response to the issue that continues to repeat, with inconsistencies in the duration of time to attempt another purchase. The last rep told me to wait a few days, opposed to the first time it happened, when they said to wait 10-15 minutes before using the card again.
The other 2 reps were vague in saying "wait some time" and unable to reply when I asked for clarification on what that means. The more I called to complain, the harder it became to reach a live rep. It's clear they have an algorithm detector on their phone systems. I've made an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau using their corporate address on Cimerron Road in Las Vegas and have inquired with legal counsel to investigate the company. I recommend doing the same if you have encountered and ongoing issues with Credit One Bank.

After reading other one-star reviews, I can see that my experience is common to many people who have had the same situation occur: a block being placed on your card (allegedly), by their system, that flagged a gas purchase - within the United States - as if it was a fraudulent card use. Instead of getting a call (on my mobile phone), or text message, to verify it was me who was using my AMEX card - in a different state, other than the one they have on record where I reside - I had to call them, and they told me they have a "policy in place", which required me (get this while I was on the road), to transmit an electric copy of a utility bill, and a state-issued ID, uploaded to my online portal for Credit One Bank to review and use as proof of identity - so the block can be removed.
What they don't tell you and I later found out is that their "unwritten/internal" policy requires you to wait anywhere from 4 to 7, or 7 to 10 business days (not including weekends), before the block will be removed! I agree with many of the one-star reviews that they've gotten, for the reasons I've mentioned - in addition to the fact that their customer service is horrible, and... unsurprisingly, all of their customer service phone representatives are overseas. Some of their CSRs know, but the majority do not -- nor do they have the capability of transferring a call to a US-based representative - which they are required to do (by law) if you ask.

When you go online to pay your monthly bill, and the min payment is. say for example $40 dollars' and you pay that and can't figure why your bill is not being paid down, it's because that amount is different on your statement say like 78 dollars but you only paid 40 because that's what it said on the payment screen so you have now missed your payment, you only paid 40 and not 78 and you do this for say a year, not realizing the amount was wrong and you now get that 49 missed payment fee every month, you only pay 40, and they do that to get you stuck and hope you don't but two and two together.
