    Paid my full balance and was charged $4.95 for an “express payment,” but it was not processed immediately. The money was taken from my account the same day, yet the payment was not credited until about 24–25 hours later. Customer service was frustrating and inconsistent. I was told that because I paid using my checking account (not a debit card), the payment would not be credited until May 5. This makes no sense, as I have previously made standard payments from my checking account and they were credited the next day without paying any extra fee. Every time I pay the $4.95 “express” fee, I seem to have this same problem. I was also unable to speak with a U.S.-based supervisor, and the representatives could not clearly explain the situation. Charging for an express service that does not work as promised is unacceptable. I am considering filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

    First credit card I’ve had. 12 years go to. Use it at the gas pump. Won’t let me use it so I call and after two weeks they need further verification of my identity. It would be 2 weeks before I use the card. I cancels it. I’ll continue to use cash or my debit card.

    Absolutely ridiculous the fees they charge just to get their card and even worse you didn't make a purchase yet on the card YET they send you a bill as soon as you activate the card for payment due in TWO WEEKS 🙄. Canceling it or let it go on my credit. Absolutely foolish!

    Horrible customer service, horrible at honesty and horrible at retaining customers honestly, just a bunch of thieves. Can't ever speak to an American. All they care about is taking your money and not helping you receive what you’re owed in return. Hope they go bankrupt because really they deserve to by treating people the way they do.

    I was so excited when I got approved with this card to get my score up but I'm disappointed because didn't have the card a week and already got hit with the $49. Monthly service charge and my limit is $200 but also had $49 taken out before I used the card ... So my balance was $151. The start of use ... So I'm thankful but not happy with the way they went about it and they already used half the amount before I could actually use it ...

    It is terrible—completely unusable. Costco doesn't accept it, payments can't be processed on Amazon, and it didn't go through at IHOP either. Basically, it just doesn't work.

    Credit One won't allow me to close my account with them unless I send in id for which I'm not comfortable doing. They use to charge 8.50 every 6 months and I would call them and get a refund but when I made a report with credit karma they changed it to 8.50 a month. I call. I'm on hold and then the phone hangs up. The 2 times I did talk to someone they said they could not discuss it with me because they couldn't verify it was me and they would lock my account and continue to charge me every month. I need help to figure this out. My other card like esl etc etc range from 10,000 to 33,000 and they only provide 2 or 3 thousand and charge monthly and I never use them because their interest rate is way too high for me so I don't need them. Someone help me out here please.

    Terrible customer service!!! I needed information from when the account was opened and they refused to give it to me in writing. They would only tell me over the phone and refused to send a letter or email! I immediately closed the account. I’ve never been more frustrated with a company than this! Avoid them before you get frustrated also!

    Credit one credit card, BEWARE!! They have very very poor customer service. Missed payments, hardship, they will not work with you. They will tack on late fees and sue you. Do yourself a favor, don't get suckered in on credit one credit card flowery advertising. They're wolves, and prey on you.

    I would give this card a 1 star, have had some horrendous experiences with this card, there is a high annual yearly fee which I didn’t know before I applied, totally disappointed either this card in every way.

    I am absolutely pissed off with this bank. I have been a customer for 7 years. All my payments have been on time, but the second I go to dispute a charge it became a problem. I purchased some items from a shopify store on January the 4th. The merchant emailed me after I initiated a chargeback because it never arrived. The merchant reached out to me several weeks later stating that the package was returned due to being damaged. Then the USPS informed delivery mysteriously stated that it had been delivered on March 24th 2026.

    MY CHARGEBACK claim was still open for Credit One's investigation team to make known to me their determination. They made a judgement to reverse my claim and charge me for something I never took ownership of because the tracking number said it was delivered to my address. So next I reported fraud to the USPS and when they reached out to me about said package, I was informed by the local Annex Supervisor that another recipient received the delivery!!!

    This is my effing third time re-opening this case because credit one didn't think it was important to confirm my claim with a USPS supervisor!! Wtf is wrong with this company. It's gone downhill. It's flooded with ** Workers who don't a give a damn. They even lied to me and told me it couldn't be reversed again due to some bogus rules with VISA. I caught the credit one bank Supervisor in a lie because the credit card was a MF Discover card!!

    If you ever end up in a situation like this good luck. They side with lying merchants and regard the customer as no one of importance. The business closed on March 11th 2026. Credit One Bank has sunk to a new low and tried to lie to a Disabled Veteran. When I pay these balances off, they'll never get another purchase coming from me. I'll piss them off good and let the account sit there with a zero balance indefinitely because I have no Annual Fee. SINCE rebuilding my credit for the last 7 years I have managed to hit a 776 Credit Score and be approved for an extremely high limit American Express card through NAVY Federal. Goodbye pos company!

    Good and easy to use. So far good Customer service. The only thing I could say negatively is the $75 membership fee to have this card. We should not have to pay this high fee as no other credit card company charges this much as far as I know of. But hey, I joined because I had to start somewhere.

    Do not do business with this company. They'll claim that your bank sends back payments even if they don't just so they can close your account without notifying you and continue to charge you the monthly fee while your account's closed. They claim my bank sent back payments on two different months. I just went over those months lined by line and my payment did go out to them.

    Credit One Bank, I was real excited about getting this card rebuilding my credit! I received my card I paid before bill is due never was reported to my credit report. Paid have of the balance no report on my credit report. Take in mind my bill is not due until April, I'm 3.00 dollars over the limit, they reported this to my all of my credit reports. Not one payment shows on my report but the 2.00 dollars over the limit does which made my score go down 13 points. Unbelievable. I do not recommend this card. I'm paying it off and closing it. Unbelievable.

    I recently started using this card but was shocked by the low credit limit and then the games began! They sent me a much higher level card but wanted a large annual fee and I said no! Then I got a letter with a smaller increase but in small print it said I would have to pay 9.99 for it and the interest rate is 29.4%! They're worse than Synchrony!

    I initially paid installments of 106 dollars before using the card. I didn't find an explanation for it yet. It's better if this fee was canceled. It's too big. 106 dollars is a big number and I paid it before using the card.

    I was really disappointed when I got my card because when you sent me the first letter about getting this card, you said I had a $2500 limit. When I got my card in the mail, it was only $300. I was going to go somewhere because I haven't gone anywhere in years. Plus I needed to have some work done on my Van. Now I can't do any of that. So, yes, I'm disappointed.

    The annual fee is very expensive. In the first documents I received, it said or at least suggested that the annual fee would be paid in monthly installments, but that’s not the case. They also have a very high interest rate. I’ll probably use the card for at least six months since the annual fee has already been charged, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

    Bankruptcy 2022, and I have six years left before it is dropped from my credit file. Prior to then I had a credit score between 680 and 725. Today I am no better off in terms of my credit score but I am so old that I will never buy a house or a car. APR after bankruptcy is about 30%, which is atrocious. Getting banks to even give you a credit card becomes difficult after bankruptcy. My situation was different because my credit was always good, I was simply over extended. Call me the least disciplined person on the planet and with advanced year cognitive reasoning and executive function is not what it used to be. Enter Credit One Bank. I got an AMEX card, probably the least functional of all major credit cards. My payment history with them was good. I kept up with payments so well they offered me a $200.00 increase. So why I am complaining about them? Well to go on to the really bad points:

    1. Their website is pretty crude. You can do only very little with it. The information is limited.

    2. I started getting notices that they were turning down charges, yet when I would call they said the charges were covered. They could never explain the conflicting information. The anxiety factor increased. Most unpleasant.

    3. They hide getting to a customer service rep on their voice menu. They don't give you an option. You have to pick a function that does not match your inquiry to ring through to someone. Think of being boxed in a voice menu with nowhere to go.

    4. All of the customer service reps are foreign. I wear a hearing aid. I keep having to repeat what I think they are saying to me. Nerve wracking. The reps are not informative. They are like bots reading from scripted verbiage. They don't hear what you're asking, they just lapse into gibberish you cannot understand about something you are not asking for - and you may not even know that because their English is so bad. They will do the standard service rep thinking of becoming agonizing asking if there is anything more they can do for you, when they did little or nothing and then, "Bye Bye For Now."

    5. The cash back is not helpful at all. It is minimal. It might as well not even be there.

    6. The APR is high. I realize it may be too early in the game to consider anything lower. Get ready to pay a lot in interest.

    7. There is such inconsistency. Bad information. Cannot understand what they are saying. Robots with bad English. Not helpful.

    I recommend you consider another bank and while I cannot mention a competitor, look for a bank headquartered in Old Bethpage, NY that issues Mastercards. You'll be glad you did. In conclusion I cannot tell you that Credit One Bank is not worth considering. It may be perfect and a godsend for you, because situations are different, but it was a nightmare for me. I've tried to lay my cards on the table and tell the facts of what my experience was with no high drama. I tells it as I sees it!

    Read the fine lines. They charge a lot for a cc/year. Takes long, like a week, to pay the account balance and you need to pay extra if you want to make it instant. It's basically unusable when the remaining balance is low. Rewards are hard to earn.

    I have had the worst experience with Credit One Bank. They recently offered a increase of my credit line. I have been with Credit One for over ten years. I've faithfully paid my account above the minimum due so yes I accepted the increase. Credit One mailed a new card to me Premier card but I immediately noticed that when I went to make my payment my account from the old credit card amount was still asking for payment. They opened a separate account. I have 2 different credit card accts. I immediately called Credit One and asked if I was paying on 2 different accounts. When they told me yes I flipped. I told you can have your Premier Card back. Close out that account for being so sneaky and double charging me for a increased line of credit. I thank God I didn't spend that money and I'm warning you do not deal with Credit One Bank. They not trustworthy. This happened today 3/4/2026.

    I was led to believe I would receive a credit line that makes paying the card a rational decision. This was a waste of time. The card is almost as expensive as the credit line. While interest rates and feed are high. This feels like a bait instead of a proper financial service.

However, I was a bit disappointed that a $75 fee was taken from the initial activation, which significantly reduced my already small credit limit of $300. This means I only have $225 available to use. Despite this, I’m still satisfied with the card and its features.

    What a scam. After activating my new credit card, the first time I tried to use it, the transaction was declined. Called, and my account was frozen. Weeks later, I’m being billed the $95 annual fee, but nothing I do will get them to unfreeze the account. Now I owe a $95 annual fee for a card that I have never been able to use.

    They have a limit that prevents you from making more than 5 payments in a month which is plain stupid. Why would you prevent customers from making payments. How is it good business to turn down payments. These people are nuts. They said it's a security issue. Thieves steal money from credit cards. They aren't going to be making any payments on anybody's credit card so Credit One makes no sense. It's an idiot policy which led me to cancel their stupid credit card. Capital One, Discover card are superior. Plus credit one charges customers for phone assistance payments a fee of 4.95.

    Everything has not gone through with my orders online. The most important one is medication for my one of my pets! I understand that it's ordered from a different country, but when Credit One texted an alert and I confirmed the order, the transaction should go through and be processed. Now I have to wait for the next business day to call customer service because I cannot afford to wait to see if it gets processed or not and then have to call. I wish I would've used my debit card now because I'm very concerned about the health of my pets.

    First transaction right after activating my card was cancelled by the bank. No email, no call, no text, nothing. Days later when I go to check when my order is being delivered is when I find out the bank cancelled with no reason. The first person I spoke with, rudest man I’ve ever dealt with. Told me he couldn’t help and then had the AUDACITY to tell me I never used the card for a transaction based on what was “on his screen”. Asked to speak to someone else and he continued to try and talk to me. I continued to ask for someone else. He finally put me on hold to never come back. I immediately called back again and was thankfully put through to someone competent enough to tell me my card was locked, for no known reason as I had just activated it, and was able to help. The fact I had to go to Reddit to even figure out how to talk to a real person is crazy. Needless to say I’m quite unhappy and concerned about using this card/working with this bank in the future.

    Credit One is the worst credit card company I've ever dealt with. Even with unused funds, the card has been declined multiple times. After a while, they had to replace it, and the same thing happened with the new cards. To top it all off, my money has been blocked for two months now by a security department that has no knowledge whatsoever and relies on system updates. They simply don't consider all the identity verification I've provided sufficient. Customer service is the worst thing ever; absolutely no one is trained to resolve any problems you might have with your card. The ignorance in that department only makes you more frustrated than you already are with the card itself. The worst thing that can happen to you is having a Credit One card that you can never rely on.

    This is the worst credit card I ever have in my entire life and I regret it. I will not encourage anyone to get it. Not only that their interest rate is high, you are not covered in case of fraudulent transactions. My card was stolen and used in NJ while I live in PA, they said it was an authorized transaction. Crazy thing I ever heard. The worst part of it is that no manager ever available to discuss this matter.

    If I could give zero stars, I would. Getting in contact with somebody is nearly impossible. My husband and I both got a 5% cash back reward card, but we're only getting 1% back. The rewards part sees that we're getting 1% and we're in the program to get 5%, but says there's nothing they can do. Then, you call the card side and they can't see nothing beyond the 1%. Total SCAM. Now we're stuck with these cards and we can't close them, because we're buying a house and it looks bad.

    This was my first transaction after receiving my Credit One Bank credit card, and unfortunately it resulted in an issue immediately. I made a purchase at a Walmart gas station for $22.99, which is clearly shown in my Walmart app. However, Credit One Bank displayed an authorization/charge of $150 for the same transaction. What made the experience frustrating was the lack of customer support. I attempted to contact customer service using the provided phone number, but there was no option to speak with a live representative, only automated IVR prompts. As a new customer, having my very first transaction disputed and being unable to reach a real person was disappointing and stressful. Better communication around authorization holds and improved access to customer support would greatly improve the customer experience.

    They will RUIN your credit!!! I had 2 accounts with Credit One. After the first 6 months it went downhill fast.... After one year of me paying way more than the minimum payments and sometimes double payments my available credit never was available. By the time they hit me with their crazy fees and interest there was NEVER any available credit. I called multiple times and first of all the customer service representatives are located in India or wherever they are absolutely ZERO help. They are nasty and rude...

    I requested to shut both accounts down completely and do a charge off!! They never granted that to me these cards are now accumulating massive FEES and interest more than the credit line!!they now hit my credit report 2 times a day!! My credit score went from a 720 to a 544 in a matter of 2 weeks!! NO ONE will help me. I have contacted everyone that's supposed to help with harassment with credit card companies, scams ETC. Zero help battling these fraudsters!! Stay far away from credit one. They will ruin your life!!

    I would love it if payments were cleared faster. Waiting for payment to clear makes the card with small limit, useless for the wait. The credit card company is very accommodating reachable when an issue arises. Security is necessary, this online shopping is a risk.     I am in the middle of a snowstorm. I have available credit on my account. I’m getting no text alerts for any type of transactions on my card. They’ve denied every transaction that I’ve tried to do. I’ve even tried to do in person transactions. All the banks are closed no one is helping me I’ve called so many times they have no legitimate reason why they keep suspecting fraud if I’m saying that it’s me and even offered to use my identification I’m literally in a state of emergency and I can’t use my credit card, which is for emergencies. How is it that when emergency happens when I can’t use my credit card. They make me wait 10 days for my available balance to be available and then when it’s available, I still can’t use it. I have no extra protection on my credit card whatsoever.

    This is extremely frustrating. I want to pay off my balance and just close the card. Then they tell me to wait a few days to use my card. Why would I have to wait a few days to use my own card if I’m saying the transactions are me something is extremely not right with this company and this is not the time for this as we’re in the middle

    Credit One Bank was great at giving me a second chance to rebuild my credit. However, I am very displeased with this bank for a couple of reasons. I have listed them below.

    1. Credit one does not offer a regular credit line increase and when I called a Credit One associate to asked for a credit line increase, I was denied even though I had a credit score of over 800 and never made a late payment.

    2. The annual fee of $99 ($8.25 monthly) is too high for a credit line of $2,700 and very minimal rewards.

    I would NOT recommend this card to anyone!

    Company: Credit One Bank, N.A. Credit One Bank approved and enforced a $1,000 charge that I never authorized, despite my only agreement with the merchant being a $99 annual subscription. The merchant later publicly admitted that subscribers were charged amounts they did not authorize due to a billing error. Despite this admission and my submission of supporting evidence, Credit One denied the dispute multiple times using the same reasoning, continued to bill the disputed amount, assessed late fees, restricted my account by reducing available credit to $0 despite unused capacity, and furnished adverse information to credit bureaus while disputes and arbitration were active.

    I paid the undisputed portion of my balance, yet Credit One imposed penalties and account restrictions solely because I refused to pay a charge I never authorized. Arbitration is currently pending with the American Arbitration Association. This complaint is submitted to document Credit One’s refusal to correct an unauthorized charge and related account harm despite clear evidence and procedural safeguards.

    ZERO STARS! Company is practicing deceptively! Becayse I used my card "excessively" despite gaving acailable credit, I must now wait several days to cool off before they will allow me to use the card again! So, forget about setting this card up for recurring purchases like Amazon, school fees, etc because I will never know if it will work. I am starting a class action and cancelling this horrible, ghetto trash!

    Wish I would have got approved for more than 500 but that 500 definitely helped me out. I've applied for other credit cards and never got approved but I've been building my credit up and finally I got approved. It's pretty nice to have a credit card to have something to back up on.

    It’s impossible to reach help, and they charge me $150 on a $30 fill up on gas. I’m trying to deal with it but they have no customer service. It’s a shit not that doesn’t give options needed. Zero stars.

    Do not use Credit One for anything, I've been waiting for 2 months for cards they've sent 3 different times and haven't gotten the first one. Before my first card was to even arrive they sent me a paper bill in the mail with annual fees before my card even got here. I know they have the correct address because I got the bill just not any of the cards. I think it's a scam just to get you to pay enormous fees and not have anything usable. Would NOT recommend to anyone.

    They charge the highest interest and on top of that they charge $99- 100 Annual fee every year you pay $100 for having their card plus 29.9 % apr.. It's like if you buy something for fifty dollars you are paying them close $100 back. And they will hike the annual fee without notice.

    I’m still not even sure this bank isn’t a scam. Received my card last week - activated it and 5 days later I still cannot make a charge. Everything is instantly declined with reason being “charge rejected by card issuer - contact bank for assistance.” Excuse after excuse from customer service but I was certainly charged the $95 annual fee as soon as I activated the card.

    Whatever you do do not use this bank. They are liars. They told me they were going to give me a credit limit of $2,400 and when the car came the mail was $400. I don't deal with losers and as soon as I pay off the $400 I'm going to give them their card back.

    Unbelievably garbage customer service! First of all, foreign/offshore customer service is being utilized - complete garbage. When I asked for an assurance of a credit to my account for what they claimed to be a "system glitch", they stated no one in the organization was able to send me an email confirmation. These people are liars and not to be trusted.

    My card was easy to activate and came at a crucial time for me, thanks Credit One. However I have spoken with customer service several times and they've done a great job of explaining how things work.     I give it a one star, because that app is always crashing. Never lets me log in even with my finger scanner. I recommend the company update their app and make it more accessible. I don't like how I can't pay my bill off. Please put this thing in your top priorities for fixing the app.

    Horrible customer service and a mediocre card at best for credit building. There are so many credit builders that don't charge exorbitant amounts of money and do the same thing. God forbid you forget to make a payment with these guys; they'll call you 3 million times while you're at work and only ask for information, giving no reason for their call. Yes, let me just provide my social security number to someone with a heavy accent calling me at 9 am on a Wednesday, claiming to be from Credit One Bank.

    When I logged onto the website, there was no notification for a late December payment—just the due amount for January. Nothing in the tab that says "Notifications." Huh, It must have been a scam call. Then, only after a week do they finally send an email stating the payment is late. It's as if the system was designed to impair your credit because, of course, this now goes on my record. They probably do this so you can't obtain a better card, knowing as soon as you can, you will cancel them.

    Credit One is a great card the application and approval process was easy and stress-free. I was approved very quickly with no hassle and no weight. Card is great awesome so far so good. They also made the payment process very easy and you can choose your own date. It's great.

    First I just want to say that I'm grateful to Credit One for giving the opportunity to build credit by using their card and I love how quick they were to approve me to send out my card to give me my card. They let me know what was going every step of the way. There's just one thing that I found to be a little bit frustrating that being apparently getting this card to the card I got there was a $75 activation fee if they took from the starting balance of the card and they gave no indication during the activation of the card that such was happening and I hadn't seen the thing that said that that was going to be the case and so I literally started off with $75 less to the account than what I thought I had and having known that in advance would have changed how I had initially spent some of my money but other than that everything's great.

    What is embarrassment. They sent me a congratulations for $300. They don't have my right phone number. They don't accept my email to even accept my card. I don't want it stick it up there.     Words cannot express how much I hate Credit One bank. If you are considering using this credit card company, don't! Save yourself the hell. Made a payment using a debit card over 18 hours ago and the available credit is still unavailable. I've had this card since 2021 and have never run into this issue until now! Completely ruining my travel arrangements for Christmas. There's a special place in hell for this credit card company.

    Experian recommended this company to apply for a credit card. The online application was easy. The response was quick. They give you a selection of card faces to choose from. I got an email letting me know when it would arrive. I received it in a few days, and another email confirmed the day it was in the mail. I received it that day. This card will help me rebuild my credit score. The limit is just enough to work with, and the interest rates aren't as high as other card companies.

    While I appreciate the opportunity to improve my credit, the first payment made was returned with demands for bank validation from the bank where the funds originated. They locked my account and won't remove the lock. I am not able to provide the documentation they have requested because it is not my bank. My fiancé wanted to pay this for me. They want validation from his bank and a copy of his driver's license. This is not his account, and out of privacy concerns, he will not comply. The payment was for the full balance due, not just the minimum. However, they can offer no explanation for why they have taken this action.

    At this point, I can't access my account to make even a minimum payment. I'm facing late fees and returned payment fees, even though they returned the payment without any explanation. It seems to be a scheme to add fees and charges because I tried to pay the balance due. The letter they sent clearly states that they returned the payment and if any additional payments are returned, they can close my account. If anyone has ever closed a credit account or had one closed, you know it can have a negative impact on your credit score. My advice: don't open an account with Credit One.

    I filed fraudulent report, they all were from Dunkin' Donuts, the fraud detection people on their end even say Dunkin' Donuts is known for doing these things, I don't shop at Dunkin' Donuts as it is, mind you all these purchases are made from places away from me that I don't visit, they filed the disputes, and found them to not be fraudulent, under the guidelines that since I paid for them not seeing them on my statements, mind you one of the numbers connected to one of the disputes came up a couple times. They said one one of them they did say was fraudulent and accepted, how ya gonna accept one as fraud but not the others, so they reversed reversed all credit they gave me back from the disputes and threw them back on my account,.

    I didn't even know I was being scammed. I even switched out my card and locked at the moment. I found out I was being charged things I didn't pay for, and you can't get anyone that speaks English and I started having a panic attack. They closed my account miss hearing me and not understanding English.... So now I'm overdrafted. I can't reinstate my account until I give him money and they won't dispute the charges again, mind you all of these purchases were all Dunkin' Donuts. They open up the fraud line talking about when they seen the fraudulent charges from Dunkin' that is a common thing going on....

    It was easy and fast to apply. I received my card sooner than the estimated delivery date. I got approved for an amount and when I activated my card it was less than what I got approved for. That is the reason for 4 stars rating. If that is fixed then the rating would be 5 stars.

    If I could give less than 1 star I would. I've made on time payments, and paid the full amount off every month. Every time I submit a payment it takes over a week until those funds are available. As someone who lives paycheck to paycheck; this company's policies make it impractical for use.

    This is not a bank! This is a scam center. I regret the day I opened my bank account with Credit One Bank. To begin with, the bank did a hard credit check on me. It lowered my credit score substantially. Absolutely abusive and criminal! Do not do any business with them. I regret ever opening an account with them. You will to. Don't.

    I really wish I didn't have to leave any stars but since I have to leave something I'll leave one. These guys suck. Don't go to them. They only let you use your card where they want you to use your card and if you don't then they lock it so don't rely or depend on using it if you're going on vacation or anywhere else because you'll be stuck. You've been warned. And they charge you $75 annual fee for nothing.
