If I could leave a zero, I would. This bank is horrible, and they absolutely do not cover their customers. Credit One allowed fraud to happen to me. They also did not back me up or fight for my money back. Horrible customer service. Not American owned. Please do not use this bank even as your last resort.

I went with this company as I was working on improving my credit. My pay history was so good at one point that they issued me a "black" card with a higher limit. Well I became deathly ill with RSV and COVID. While in the hospital for several months, I ran out of leave time at work which left me in a leave without pay status, causing me to miss several payments. When I was finally able to catch up my payments, I find out they have closed both accounts even though they had documentation from my job and doctors. DO NOT GET A CARD WITH THIS COMPANY BECAUSE IF YOU SHOULD FIND YOURSELF IN A SITUATION LIKE MINE, THEY JUST WRITE YOU OFF. Horrible experience to say the least. My card companies worked with me, but not them!!

Applied and got approved for this card because Credit Karma gave me excellent approval odds. There is no way to contact Credit One Bank that I can see. They have a bunch of FAQ's, and from other reviews that I'm reading, I'm not the only one that has this issue. What isn't explained to you upfront is, when you pay your bill, it takes 7 days to reflect in your available credit unless you pay an extra $4.95 "express" fee. No thanks!
Had I known this upfront, I would have gone with another card, even a secured card. When I pay my bill, I want to see that my available credit reflects that immediately - and it feels like a little bit of extortion that they'll just sit on that payment (that comes out immediately, by the way) for 7 days; and then it will show up on your available credit. The rate is what I expected for someone who is rebuilding their credit. The annual fee is what I expected; but to anyone who is smart, they won't just go out and open another credit card and close the other one because of the obvious credit ramifications. Not crazy about Credit One at all. Hopefully this helps others who are considering opening a line of credit with them.

This credit card is full of fees, never updated your credit usage as it dissipates, but hits you hard as soon as you use the card. They charge you for not using it, take fees to have it, and charge you for using it...worst credit card company ever. Waiting to find a cancellation fee associated once I cancel.

I was in Mexico and left on 2/11/24. A few days later I realized I did not have my credit card. I call to report my card stolen and charges made after I returned to the US. There was 4 different charges on 3 days after I returned. They asked when I lost the card & I told them I did not know. They denied the dispute because I did not know when the card was lost. I then sent a letter with my flight ticket showing I left on 2/11 and I was not in the country when the purchases were made. I was still Denied! They are the worst Customer Service with no common sense. Go elsewhere even at a higher rate!

Filed a complaint with the company about a fraudulent charge. The charge had not posted yet so the rep informed me the complaint would go in as soon as it posted. Was informed it would take about 3 months to investigate. This was on 19/28/23. I called back in Jan to find out how it was going and then received a letter saying I waited to long to file a claim???
I am now responsible for the charge. They refuse to work with me. Their call center is out of the country but finally got someone to transfer me to the main office in Vegas. The rep in Vegas basically said so sorry for you. The decision is final??? So please reconsider using this card because there is no safety against predators. Out of the dozens of people I talked with only one understood the issue. But he had no power to make it right. So I will take to social media and try to help this from happening to someone else.

I have been with Credit One for a couple years now and the end of last month my account was flagged because their creditors called a wrong number and someone said I was dead, that happened on Dec. 26th after paying my balance off and using the card all of a sudden it declined. I was so Pissed. I have called everyday since and I get the run around about the forms I now need to send in proving I am alive.
I have been told so many different forms I can send in and every time I hear that they cannot take them. They want me to pay for a Notary and send them my DL, a Birth Certificate, a Utility bill and a signed handwritten statement Notarized [$30]. 1st they told me I needed to send it in snail mail, then I was told to email it. Now I am being told to upload it and it can still take 7-10 business days. I can't talk to Credit One Bank. I have to talk to people in India and the Philippines can't even tell me their real names. I am really hoping that today I can get somewhere.

Just found out I've been charged an "ANNUAL FEE" every month for the past year and a half. Turns out, they decided they were going to change their terms of service and never notified me. I dug through my financial documents and emails, no sign of this change of agreement. So I went looking for the original agreement when I got their card. The paper* agreement that came with my card said nothing about changing to a monthly fee. Legally speaking, you should be asked to sign an agreement if the terms change and are not included in the original agreement. I will never recommend this company for this nearly scam-like breach of agreement practices.

2x months I had scheduled a payment, both of which were cancelled unbeknownst to me. I found out the day the payment was due with a text telling me I had a pymt due. Although I made screenshots of the 2nd payment showing the date of scheduling [thought I learned from the 1st time] When it came to the phone call, the information in the notes had been changed. When I asked why there was no notice for the cancellation, I was informed "BECAUSE we don't provide references/notices for cancellation" So I got screwed regardless of what I said, they had a "scripted answer" and had manipulated my page to the reflect the info they wanted. Was told the only way to keep this from happening was to set up Autopay. Although it is against my better judgement, it looks like I have no choice and no way to protect myself.

Yet I never got a message asking me if I tried to use it and none of my other cards had issues. Then I finally could use it for $5 but nothing more though my limit was paid in full. They just asked I prove I paid for it. So I went online to show it and the site never worked!! Omg this is the worst card. Don't bother with it. You can't ever use it.

I accepted an offer for a $500 credit line through Credit Karma. I received the card and upon registration of my account on the Credit One app, I was able to see that I owed a $39 annual fee. Cool, I read about that. I paid it off immediately. A couple of days later I used the card to pay $25 for a Netflix account. No problem. I waited until the statement date and then immediately paid off my whole balance. The next day, I go to buy snacks after work, and my card is declined. I call customer service and they tell me they locked my account due to "security reasons". Wouldn't tell me anything specific. They ask me again for 2 forms of ID uploaded to their website.
I uploaded the ID while I'm was the phone, but they told me I have to wait 7-10 business days for a resolution. I have since called in 4 more times over the past month, and each time, I am being asked for different forms of ID. Utility bills now. I am a sublet so I don't have the utilities in my name. I explained this to several representatives, supervisors and management reps. After supposedly speaking to the top level account manager, he told me that my picture ID was approved, but the address isn't current. So he told me I could send my phone bill which has my current address as the other form of ID (I had previously sent my passport, picture ID and Social security card).
I tried to upload several times to the website while on the phone with the manager and there was a technical error. Finally, the manager told me to just email my phone bill and gave me the email. He also said he would see to it that my case was expedited since I had already been waiting close to 3 weeks at this point with no response. According to him, this meant that instead of waiting 7-10 more business days, from the date of my last document upload, it would only be 3-5 business days. On the 5th business day I called and was given the run around again as if it was my first time calling, so I kept requesting management on the phone. Finally, I got another senior account manager.
I told them I just want to close my account because I don't want to deal with this anymore. He apologized and told me he would see to it that my issue is resolved in the next 24 hours. I said if it's not, I want to cancel my account and a refund of my annual fee since I haven't even used the card for more than 2 days. At this point they owe me $39 in my eyes. But I'm waiting another day as of today to see what their "resolution" will be. If it is not lifting my restriction, I will close the account regardless of if I get my $39 back. Wayyy too much headache and feels like a scam.
I've never had a problem like this with any credit card I've ever had, and I've had a few, with much larger credit lines. I'm trying to rebuild my credit now after bankruptcy, and the Credit One bank experience has me ready to attempt to start a class action lawsuit. Not even worried about money at this point, it's all about the bad business and I feel like this company needs to be held accountable one way or another. I should have looked at these reviews before accepting their credit offer. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, ever.

While I was thankful to be approved for the minimal amount approved, the waiting period between paying your monthly balance, the balance updating on your available credit and the time for the funds to be available for withdrawal again is a bit ridiculous. The Credit One card is the only card I have ever used that applies this format. Once my account is paid off in full, I will be cutting the card up and melting the pieces out in my fire pit. I always destroy my personal financial documents and expired/no longer wanted cards that way. Less chance of someone else getting ahold of such information. To each their own but, I do not recommend.

When I called again to followup I get people I can't understand. I go round and around. Finally had to use a different computer to get to my account and print mine out. Then I get my mailed copy. I am in the process of getting rid of them now. They have been saying I'm late on just one card.. I have no idea how this can be. I paid my current balance, which was the same amount as the statement balance by the way, then I called to request for a fee to be waived. They approved for the fee to be waived, which should put my available CREDIT over the limit. Two days later, I checked, and I saw that instead of my credit being over the limit, I had a balance. I called and asked why, the supervisor whom I spoke with said he was sorry and promised to reverse the remaining balance to put my balance at $0. I checked today, I account still have a balance. After some time of arguing with him, he said the charges would not count against me. I asked the account to be immediately closed which now upset him again. Credit One Bank began a nonstop campaign of Calls, Text, E-mail going back on our conversation and again blaming me for the fraudulent charges. They have never offered to show me copies of the signed receipts required for purchase with a Credit Card. They now have reported as Derog on my credit, multiple times for the same account. They 100% added a FRAUD bank account information onto my credit card, WITHOUT notifying me, to make it look like I am making a FRAUD payment to the credit card and then decided to close my account because of suspicious activity, even though I put my OWN correct bank account information to pay my credit card bill. I don't know if it is some kind of AI glitch or what is going on, but to have a credit card company do shady things like that and then ConsumerAffairs not approving my previous complaint on here, well then you can easily tell how things are when it comes to frauds in the industry. It's not rocket science. I'm not blaming Consumer Affairs for this fraud activity from Credit One Bank, but to not agreeing to post important and fraud activity from a credit card company that is not even related to Consumer Affairs, that just makes the trust factor of what is happening go down.
I will be remaking my claim on here every single time if it is not approved. ConsumerAffairs, a word of advise, do not protect the fraudsters. Credit One Bank, do not make yourselves go into a heap of trouble for your fraud actions. You KNOW what you did, either a worker in your company is doing this to credit card clients and/or you have a very shady AI setup. People CANNOT input a bank account for payments, if they are not a member of that specific bank, and when a member calls to see how that bank account got into the system in the first place, and then your customer service puts BLAME on the customer that doesn't have a bank account with that specific bank, that is FRAUD activity on YOUR part Credit One. Get the point now ConsumerAffairs? PLEASE do not disapprove this and PLEASE post this immediately, so other customers will NOT get into a mess that Credit One Bank does on purpose to the customers. DO THE RIGHT THING ConsumerAffairs.

Mind you both cards were paid in full. After getting nowhere with them I closed both cards out. With their high fees and etc stay away from them. If they can't make money off you they will put a hold on your card even if you were on time and never late. They offered me a credit line increase if I kept the other card. Then they closed it as I didn’t send them the proper paperwork - they wanted a copy of my bank statement, reported it to the credit bureaus, which brings your score down 50 points! I feel this is a disgusting business practice as people are trying to repair credit or get credit. This will instead ruin your credit. This is a scam credit card to get your first payment which includes the yearly credit card membership. If you read their reviews, there is so much that can go wrong here with this company.

I informed her that their system showed the items were updated in August and September then she went on to inform me that the system blocked my update. I requested things be reversed, an email sent to me of the information we discussed, and an update to the credit bureau since this was on them. I was told that couldn't happen. Then I informed her that I would record the conversation and she jumped to the defense that wasn't authorized.
They can tell the consumers anything about our accounts and we are supposed to accept it. They would send me a statement and text reminder one month for payment, then fail to send another statement or reminder for months which then causes late fees and charges that raises the balance due on your account over the credit limit. They then harass their customers by calling 100 times a day trying to collect even after their customer has told them to Cease and desist all calls to this number. I work in billing and collections and this is illegal! They must send a statement or payment reminder every month, not every 3-4 months after they have charged you with every late fee or other fee they can find in the book to make you owe them more than you do. I refuse to make any other payment on this account until they have fixed their mistake/scam.
A credit card company that can knowingly do this to their customers need to be sued and shut down. If anyone would like to start a class action lawsuit against them, reach out to me please because this is not right at all! They need to remove all the unnecessary and fraudulent charges on my account or they will be reported to the BBB, I will continue to write reviews to inform the public and if I get another call from them trying to collect these fraudulent charges I will not hesitate to make it my job to inform the entire public of this and I will get a team of lawyers for suit to be filed. This company is disgusting! When a customer tells you not to call this number again and says it the legal way, they must cease and desist calling that customer, send them to collections or write off the entire balance their insurance pays for at the end of the year.

You can pay $5 for them to accept your payment same-day, or chance your money being withdrawn for payment within 5-10 business days. If you pay on Thursday or later, the money has a good chance of not being withdrawn until the following Thursday, or later. Most consumers are unaware that credit card companies offer Purchase Protection. It protects the customer from theft, fraud, damage, and loss of a purchase for up to 90 days after a purchase with a credit card. Since I worked for a major credit card company (a long time ago), I had some knowledge of it. However, each credit card company has their own policies as to how they handle purchase protection.
I had purchased an almost $190 order from **. My merchandise never arrived. In my discovery process, through **, I had found that my address on the package was either sent illegible or had been damaged in the delivery process. FedEx replaced the address once the package got state-side. When they did this, my merchandise was sent to the wrong address. This was verified by the picture that the FedEx delivery person took upon delivery to someone else's front door; and, by calling FedEx's 800 phone number--in which, their phone system did not recognize the numbers to my address.
When I called Credit One Bank to explain my situation and request a dispute for loss of merchandise, they never once informed me that my issue did not qualify for Purchase Protection. So, I sent them a 10-page document, on legal paper, that was full of pictures (Evidence) and explained my discovery process, summary, and request for relief. Also, the document was sent with a return receipt. After they received the documentation, the security credited the merchandise amount. Within about 30 days, I received an email. The only response I got was, "You authorized this purchase" (!!!) and they debited back the security credit. Well, with the response that I got, I knew that they had processed my document as a Fraud Dispute (!!!) and not a Purchase Protection Dispute.
Before calling Credit One Bank, I went to their website to make sure that they offered Purchase Protection. Sure enough, they do offer it. However, when I got to speak with a Credit One Bank representative, I found out that she had no knowledge of what Purchase Protection was (!!!). Then, she transferred my call to an "Account Manager" -- which, in reality, is the Fraud Department. Oh, my goodness, it was to my misfortune that I was transferred to the most highly accented, barely speaking English individual ever! It took a lot of effort on my behalf to have to really listen to what this individual was saying [Why do they put a barely speaking English individual in such an important (Dispute Resolutions) position!?? They have to repeat themselves over and over again just so that they can be understood!!]! The only thing that I really understood from this individual was that my dispute would be resubmitted for review and my account debited again.
With the knowledge that my Purchase Protection Dispute was being resubmitted for review, I knew that I'd have to resubmit more documentation. Rather than to have to do that all again, I decided that I would give Credit One Bank another call. I wanted to find out what their policy was on Purchase Protection. I figured that maybe, just maybe, I could get ahold of a representative that was knowledgeable. What I got was an individual that almost transferred me to the Fraud Department but decided not to. She informed me that Credit One Bank only offered Zero Liability -- which is, basically, Fraud Protection. I was looking right at Credit One Bank's website on Purchase Protection when she said it (!!!). Also, she informed me that my annual fee, which I don't have, paid for it (!!!). It's unfortunate that this call turned out to be such a colossal waste of my time and very unproductive.
My card with Credit One Bank has an American Express logo on it. From what I've read, American Express teamed up with Credit One Bank to conduct business. This gave me an idea. Why don't I call American Express and ask the questions that I need answering about Purchase Protection? So, I did. Within one minute of speaking with a very understandable English speaking American Express representative, I had my answer (Thank you, AMEX!!!). One would think that if Credit One Bank partnered with American Express, that Credit One Bank would be just as knowledgeable as American Express. Sadly, this is not the case.

Clicking on "Customer Service" in the "Online" menu just reloads the page. So I call and talk to "Lindsay" (Yeah right. So many Indian women named Lindsay). I told her about the charge and she said it was correct. I explained that the paperwork said "No Annual Fee". She basically repeated what she said before so I told her the reason I got the card was because there was no annual fee. She put me on hold (which was nice because I didn't want to hear all the other call center workers babbling in the background) and then came back and said she waived the $75 charge, but next year I will be charged the $99 annual fee. When I attempted the transaction the cashier gave me the strangest look and whispered "it says it’s declined due to suspected fraud!" I was horrified. I cannot describe the embarrassment I felt other than it was likely the most embarrassing moment I had experienced in over a decade. Until 5 seconds later when I realized that I hadn't brought my wallet and that was the only form of payment I had with me. That's right!
I had to the b the dreaded walk of shame at Dollar General of all places for a 33.00 order....I called Credit One immediately and was told I needed to verify my identity even tho I'd already done so when I created my account online. I didn't argue. I immediately submitted three forms of identification as. I checked the status of the verification process on their website periodically over the next 3 weeks and nothing had changed. On day 22 I called customer service again asking them when they would complete the verification of my identity. I was told the only two of the forms that I had submitted went through even though I had confirmation for all three. Once again I did not argue. I simply submitted the third form again.
14 days later nothing had changed. I was still waiting for my ID to be verified. I called them back. I spoke with his supervisor who told me there's a problem with their system and they're unable to view my documents. I need to resubmit them. Once again I submitted the third form and to be safe I submitted the original two as well. 7 Days Later nothing hit it updated on my account so I called them back again. Once again I was told that their system was not working and my documents were not received. I need to submit them one more time. This time I waited 9 days after submitting them and I called them back when nothing had changed in my account. Customer service got on the phone and said the verification process was complete however I now had a balance of $127 due to late fees charging for a card and some optional programs they decided to enroll me in. Until I paid $127 I'll be unable to use my card.
They had already reported the payment late and they refuse to discuss anything with me until I make the payment in full. I've read so many similar stories now that I'm looking into them.. It has to be fraudulent what they are doing to people. I am going to do some research and find out what I can do to refine resolve this without throwing my money away to credit one for absolutely nothing. If you are considering a credit one card, please read all of the reviews on every website.... They have terrible reviews all over the internet. You'd be better off trying a secured card or even a leasing company like Aaron's. You'll pay a lot but you won't be robbed and lied to and you'll build credit.. With credit one they've only hurt my credit.

Let's start at the beginning (and I apologize if this is long). Around 4 months ago, I was on my Credit One app. I already had a card with a 3k limit. To my surprise, I was offered an American Express Card with them with an 800 limit. We were in the middle of a move, a hurricane, and a new job so I put it off. Several months went by and I was checking a transaction and remembered I still had an approved card waiting to be activated. I called the back of the number to have it activated and the process was smooth. They would send out a card in 7-10 business days. Life kept moving on and I forgot about the card.
A month had gone by and nothing in the mail. I called the same number and they read back the address to me and this was my bad...old address. I corrected the address and was told 7-10 business days. That's on me. a few weeks went by and still nothing. Called same number. Customer service said "Not sure why you don't have it, Let verify address." The address was correct. The CSR said I will stay on the line and ensure it goes out today. Perfect! It was in the queue to get mailed out. I was thankful as I had a business trips coming up.
Again several weeks goes by and no card. Called again. This CSR said there was a manufacturer issue producing the cards to which I replied "I have never heard of such a thing. Can I speak with a supervisor." Got escalated. She said there's no issue with manufacturing. Hmmm...ok I said well this time I have a trip and I need you to Fedex overnight the card since the past two mistakes have been yours. I have been more than patient. "Sorry sir. It's our policy to not overnight." We went back and forth and I had it shipped FedEx but not overnight so I missed my window to book my trip. Luckily I had another card.
Card came in 5 business days later via FedEx. Went to go use the card....worked perfect. The next day at gas station...declined. OK try it somewhere else...grabbed pizza for kids...declined. Frustrated, I called yet again. Now they need a copy of my driver's license and utility bill uploaded. Wait. I already have another card with you. I have verified my address, social, date of birth, and a flurry of other information. No other card has EVER asked me to upload docs like this for a simple address change. Sure it would have been easy enough but after all this frustration I was done. I cancelled the card. The customer service is subpar at best. They are lying on the phone, not following through, and just keep dropping the ball. This is the ONLY card since the address change a year ago that has given me grief. I cannot recommend them to anyone that doesn't want to be frustrated.

Be absolutely careful with this people. I do not recommend this product at all. My card is expired long time ago (more than 3 years), I asked them not to send a new one, but they are charging maintenance fee (for a card I cannot use since it is expired). Now they say I have a non expired card, can you believe it? They just want to take your money. It is the only card I have with that TERRIBLE service and actions.

I previously really liked this bank. Not anymore. I do not like their website AT ALL. It is extremely difficult to sign in to view or pay your account. You have to try multiple times a day because on most days, the website signs you in and then automatically signs you back out. It makes it really difficult to pay your bill on time or monitor your account. I would close my account, but then it would reflect negatively on my credit report. If you do not mind the hassle of not being able to see your account information when you want to, then this is the bank for you.

The customer service is terrible. I received the card a few months ago, used a few hundred dollars for a vacation purchase. I submitted a $200 payment shortly after the purchase. The payment cleared, no issue. Then I receive a letter from them stating that they put a hold on the account because they needed to verify the account. Ummmm what?? Didn’t you just accept and process my payment. Ok. So I call them, and they explain this ridiculous policy. They need a bank statement with my name on it, the charge, routing number, etc.
So now I need to download my statement, black out my husband's name, and the amounts on the charges from our statement. Then two days after I sent this information, they email me back and state they now need a letter from the bank - on letterhead with the account holders and the charge or they’ll permanently close the account and put on my credit report that it was at the banks request that it be closed!!!! I’m in my mid-forties, I have a mortgage, multiple businesses and other credit cards - never have I ever had to do so much for these people to accept a payment!!!

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a credit card. They will sue you over the smallest amount possible and then tack on court fees. NEVER use this bank or credit card. Both my wife and I were sued by Credit One over less than $500. After it was all said and done, it ended up being $2,000 in fees and court costs. It shows that they care little to none about the actual customer and just about what they can squeeze out of customers. On top of that, their rates are outrageous. I would rather go homeless than deal with this bank and credit card.

I obtained this card years ago in an attempt to re-establish my credit. My checking account was hacked and received a new account number. I mistakenly paid my bill using this account instead of my main account. Called customer service immediately after and they informed me they could not stop the payment. I was hit with a late fee and when I called back after I made another payment from the correct account I was told nothing could be done. The rep attempted to talk over me and rush me. I interrupted him because he never gave me a chance to explain why I was calling initially.
Please try another credit card company. Do not use them. This is not the first issue I’ve had with them. I was unemployed due to cancer, they would not waive the payment even though I had the payment assistance that was being paid for. They really are horrible!!! I will be paying them off and closing my account! I have had this card for almost 5 years!

This company and their credit cards are atrocious! Their customer service is abysmal and you will be routed overseas during normal American business hours. From there you will also be constantly interrupted, talked over, and ultimately have your issue dismissed either due to ignorance on the rep's side (I blame training, not their lack of effort, my issue is not with the overseas people just trying to do a job), or in their limited amount of knowledge on things like, say, I don't know, rightfully disputing a charge. Their app is inferior for uploading dispute evidence, not even screenshots were able to be uploaded and finding an actual email address to send said evidence was another uphill battle.
I disputed two separate charges from Santa Marta, Colombia, May/June 2023. Both disputed charges were for boat trips that my girlfriend and I were not able to go on. One was canceled by me, and the "vendor", after challenging me physically, and told me to dispute the charge with the credit card because he refused to refund the $. This was after inflating the prices, lying about it, and blaming everything under the sun to the tune of what equated in dollars to about $7 more. I disputed no problem, submitted every screenshot of the conversations via WhatsApp, receipts, his remarks in Spanish, my remarks backed with facts, etc.
That dispute magically disappeared shortly after I arrived back in the USA. So, I had to re-dispute the whole thing. It is now October, and I still have heard nothing back for this particular disputed transaction, but I have a strong feeling, even with factual evidence in my favor, it'll go against me, and I will have to stomach the $68. It's the principle, NOT the money.
The bigger dispute, was from another boat tour that the company canceled on us days before the scheduled trip, through absolutely no fault of our own. They offered a "refund" in Colombian pesos, which would have resulted in me spending approximately $25 in taxi fees, as well as exchange fees to get the money returned in dollars, thus defeating the point. I refused this option, the "vendor" stated she couldn't do returns, which is an absolute lie, I am in Colombia, with American credit cards all the time and receive refunds, so she was either lying, lazy or ignorant. Regardless, I was due a refund for $110. After continuing to refuse to process a very simple transaction, I called Credit One, like the previous dispute and disputed this transaction. NOT the entire transaction, as we took 2 of the 3 tours, and were pleased, so JUST $110 for this one.
I supplied enough evidence to convince a deaf and blind jury of the malfeasance and was first, asked to resubmit. I resubmitted. Then crickets for weeks. I called, then out of the blue, I receive an email stating "upon further review"... They were ruling against me and in favor of EPAYMEDELLIN, the credit card company, and provided zero evidence for doing so, even though the email plainly stated "please see the attached evidence". Upon immediately calling Credit One bank, I'm in overseas customer care, explaining, whilst constantly being interrupted, what was going on and that I had more than enough evidence for this dispute to be 100% in my favor.
This goes absolutely nowhere for the better part of an hour, but I am told that I can resubmit for further review. I comply. I find every screenshot, attach it, and even take 45 minutes to separate the text I copied so there would be ZERO room for error on their part. Approximately a day later, I receive the same "upon further review" email, with the same result. I angrily call Credit One bank and immediately ask for a supervisor, explaining EVERYTHING. He does what I assume was his diligence and the call took approximately 1 hour. He assures me that he personally will handle the documents and it will be reviewed, again, as I was not taking this lightly. As I stated before, it is the principle. So, I have wasted hours of my life, uploaded more than sufficient documents to rectify this, and "it's" under review, by a supervisor.
Approximately a week later, I receive the 3rd email with "upon further review" and I absolutely lose my mind. Not once have I been provided with any sort of "evidence". These vendor's have literally stolen from me, and EPAYMEDELLIN is solely a credit card processing company. It provides nothing. It had no facts in this, nor could it have. I have pages upon pages of whatsapp transcripts, pictures, dates, times, names, numbers and everything possible to justify why this dispute occurred. This time, I demand to speak to an American to handle this. I am transferred to headquarters in Las Vegas (fitting for such a legit company to be in the capital of the world), and plead my case with the woman for 45 minutes plus. She's receptive, and I detail dates, times, facts, etc. and she asks me to resubmit, which I do.
Lo and behold a few days later, I receive the 4th email from that department but I guessed it was another "upon further review" email and this time I don't even open it to prevent causing permanent harm to my brain and heart. I waited approximately a month and just opened it, and YET again, regardless of it stating "enclosed evidence", there is none. I will be contacting their customer service tomorrow and paying the card off to never deal with them and their abysmal practices, again. Also, if you are an American traveler, pick a different card to take with you.

Anyway, I informed them I was disabled by the Department of Veterans Affairs and informed them I do not file taxes but I wouldn't mind sending a copy of my disability award letter. I was told by a phone representative, as well as his supervisor that I also needed to send in a letter explaining as to why I was disabled. Excuse me. I don't think so. I asked to speak to an American representative since I was speaking to a call center in a different country. Which I have no problem with, but they were very disrespectful. One of the worst credit card companies! Stay away from them. They will issue a card, and you will never receive it, but here is the kicker! There will be fraudulent charges made to the account, they will send you a text alerting you of the suspicious activity, and you will do the right thing and notify them in minutes that you never received the card or made these fraudulent charges. They will issue a new card and then TRANSFER ALL THE FRAUDULENT CHARGES ON THE NEW CARD and when you try to dispute them, they will say you made those charges because we mailed you the bill statement. You will go in circles trying to resolve this, and good luck communicating with unqualified customer representatives who are like bots reading from a teleprompter. On 9/19/23 I attempted to use my Credit One credit card. The transaction was declined, and I was unclear as to why, as the payments were up-to-date and there was credit available. I checked my account online and discovered that there was a charge of $83.65 at grocery store in Hampton, VA on 9/7/23. I called Credit One support to dispute this charge, as I live in California and have never been to Virginia. When I spoke with support, I was told that my card was declined due to possible fraudulent use. I was advised that they would open a dispute claim and ordered another card.
I also asked the support agent multiple times to change the phone number associated with my account. He told me that he would change my number. Several days later, I received an email stating that my dispute had been denied because they claimed the card was used with the chip reader. This is impossible because I only had one card and it was always in my possession. I also do not have any additional authorized card users, nor did I have more than one card ever issued.
On 9/28/23 I called to address my concerns. Support was difficult to deal with as they often had low volume and their thick accents made it hard for me to understand. When I spoke with the first agent, I had to explain my situation multiple times and he appeared unable to help me. I had to explain why I did not have a card number. I had to provide my Social Security number, which I did. He asked for my birthdate and my address, which I provided. He then asked for my number and when I provided it to him, he said that was not the number associated with the account. I advised him that I did not have the same number currently that I had opened my account with. I also advised him that I had requested that my number be changed when I spoke with the customer support agent a few days earlier.
After insisting that he needed to assist me with my concern, he transferred my call to a supervisor. I had to explain my situation again, fully to the supervisor. After explaining everything again, the supervisor told me that my dispute was rejected because of the claim that the chip in the card was used. I explained to him that I live in California and have never been to Virginia. I explained again that I only had one card, that it has always been in my possession, and that I do not have any additional authorized users on my account. I tried to explain that great distance between California and Virginia and that I had never been to the state of Virginia. He said he would transfer me to a manager who could better assist.
Once again, I had to explain the entire situation to the manager, as it appeared they did not have any notes on the situation. After telling her all the aforementioned information, she told me the same thing the previous supervisor did, almost verbatim. She said my dispute was rejected because the chip in the card had been used. I again mentioned that I only have one card, have no authorized users on my account, and have never been to the state of Virginia. At this point, I asked for her email address so I could send her video from my doorbell camera that shows I was in California on 9/7/23. I again mentioned the distance between the two states and that I have never been to Virginia.
After being on the phone with support for almost one hour, this manager hung up on me when I asked that she address my concerns and repeated the information I had previously mentioned. After this manager hung up on me, I called back. I got the first level agent again. I had to explain my situation again fully. He again asked for the card number, and I told him that I did not have a card due to the situation. He said he could not help me without the card number. I told him that I could provide my Social Security number and he could look it up with that information. I had to repeat it appropriately 30 times because he claimed he could not hear me. I repeated each section of the number slowly and clearly, but he still claimed that he could not hear me.
I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, which after staying on hold again, I spoke with another supervisor. Again, I had to repeat my entire situation. He again, appearing to read from a script, told me that my dispute was rejected due to the chip in the card being used. I again told him I was never in Virginia. Told him about the distance between the two states. Told him I only had one card that has always been in possession. I asked his name, and he told me it was Ben **. This was clearly an insult to my intelligence.
He transferred me to the Senior manager, and it was the same situation. I had to explain the situation fully. Then he appeared to read from the same script. I told him all the information I had repeated numerous times. I asked him for his email address so I could send him the videos of me in California. I then asked him for a video of me using the card in Virginia. His response was, “Unfortunately, I cannot do that.” I told him that he could not do that because it does not exist. I asked him to provide me with a number for the corporate office in Las Vegas and he responded that he could not give that to me but could transfer the call. I asked several more times for the number, but he said he would transfer me. He put me on hold and then hung up on me.
Customer service at this company is terrible. They are unwilling/unable to help, and all seem to read for the same script and reject valid disputes and refuse to listen to proof that the charge was not made by the cardholder. The unwillingness to help remove a charge that was not made by me is despicable. It should be noted that the fraudulent card use was at 1050 West Mercury Blvd, Hampton, VA. My home address is approximately 2700 miles away. I canceled my card and will transfer the balance to another credit card company.

They told me there’s nothing they can do and to just “not use the card”. 95-dollar fee to not use the card.

I have never missed a payment and my account was in perfect standing. Until last month. Made my payment using a debit card we rarely use. My husband thought it was fraud and closed that card.. which kicked back my payment. I immediately corrected it with our bank and resubmitted my payment using my usual debit card. Credit One immediately closed my account and are sending it to the credit bureau as closed by creditor effective Sept 1... thus destroying my credit. I have been fighting them for weeks to fix this. I have spoken with multiple reps and supervisors. I was asked to upload a letter stating what happened with a request not to close my account, and a letter (payment verification form) from my bank stating my debit card was reissued and I am in good standing with the bank.
I have uploaded it multiple times. I have proof it shows submitted successfully, but they keep telling me they are not getting it. I get a submitted successfully form but the case# is blank. Their system has already kick backed an "internal problem" the 1st time I submitted so this problem is on their end. Now they are telling me it takes 7-10 business days for them to receive an electronically uploaded doc.. like that makes sense. That doesn't even include their time to process the docs. Every person I tt will not listen to me or gives conflicting info. I'm about to have my credit destroyed because their customer service is by far the WORST I have EVER dealt with. If one more person tells me "not to worry" I'm going to scream. It was a simple mistake and the only one I've ever made.... and this is how they handle it. I'm beyond upset and disgusted.

If I could leave 0 stars, that is what is deserved. I applied for a credit card, was approved and the card was mailed to me. The annual fee was charged and I paid it. No big deal. I tried using the card and it declined. I called customer service and they said I needed to provide additional documentation. Ok, so I did. Still card declined. Called a second time and they are requesting more documents. Really??? So not only can I not use the card, they want to keep my $75 annual fee!! This is a total scam!

There’s of annual fees hidden in this card when you get it you don’t notice it right away. If you’re a day late with your payment, even if you call them to reconcile, you will be hit with the credit bureaus notification and drive your credit score. The interest rates are high. The rewards are so low. It’s not even worth it.

For the ones stating this is a great card and giving it 5 stars because they offered them a card when no one else would, I highly suggest waiting until you can get your score up enough to get a different credit card. I’ve had the card since I was 18 and when I was 21 I tried to cancel. The representative I spoke with did not know English very well, and then his supervisor got on the phone. They offered me a higher credit line, less interest, anything to keep me. I said no and went through with the cancel.
The account was not closed and I then got an email for an upcoming payment for the account and a higher credit line. Abysmal to say the least. Most recently, I made my payment a week before the due date and was charged a late fee as for some reason the payment “did not process” though the money was taken out of my bank 3 days later. I did not have the funds immediately for the late fee but it was added to my next months payment. Despite this, and I have received over 25 calls from them in the last 3 days from different numbers that never leave voicemails.
Between the harassment, the annual fee, the high interest rate, and close to no benefits of this card especially when compared to Discover or Capital One, I cannot for the life of me imagine why you’d go with this one. I have another card with Capital One and the customer service has always been amazing and they do not charge you for a missing card as Credit One has charged me for in the last. Beware.

Why did you offer and send me the card in the first place if I wasn't good for it? I have over 700 credit score and I already have a card with Credit one bank. Ok so after going through a marriage where he wiped out bank account to a negative balance, and other financial misdeeds, it has been a struggle to rebuild financially. So I was excited I got approved here; alas the pain was just beginning. I discovered, after calling to find out where the card was, FIVE CALLS later I had been told to upload my details to their website. I was ok with all they asked except sending pics of my Social Security card, which is just an invitation for bad people to use it to commit identity theft, or access anything attached to it, say my disability check one big thing that comes to mind! I was absolutely incensed and wrote out a complaint to the government regulatory agency overseeing this bank.
I had one good experience with a CSR, though, so I gathered the documents needed (not a Social Security card; they asked for a W2 instead, as I had filed my complaint late last week) and decided to give it a shot. Here is the beautiful deal, and by beautiful I mean smelly and rotten like an outhouse in the summer heat. I had universally been told to upload my docs to the website. Well one cannot upload to the website without an activated card!! BUT, to get the card activated one MUST upload the documents... "Yes we see the problem. Could you mail the..." NO. I am not using US mail. Seven calls, headaches galore, ONE regulatory complaint later...the card isn't even activated!!!! Avoid this exercise in stress and misery; build your credit some other way!!!

3 stars because the cards help with my credit. I had 2 credit cards through Credit One Bank for 6 years. Good to rebuild credit. I started out with a $300 limit plus almost $100 yearly fee (broken down into monthly installments). I have canceled both. After six years of early payments, NO late payments my credit limits were $1750 & $2500. I HAD to pay to have my credit limits raised. I have 6 other credit cards with NO ANNUAL fees nor am I charged to raise my limits. I just had one raise my limit by $3000. So I don't understand why Credit One charges all those fees. When I called to cancel they offered me 6 months of no account fees ($5 a month) and $30 credit on my card. I guess they really don't care about their customers.
They would rather lose one over the annual fee than to cancel said fee to keep them. I understand at the beginning, the annual fee, but after 6 yrs of being loyal, NEVER late etc. you would think they would cancel that fee. Oh and it's a pain to cancel the card(s) also. Kept trying to push me into staying 6 months with no fee like I explained then tried to say keep it for emergencies. Why? My credit limits on other cards will cover the little bit of credit line they gave me... wait.. little bit of credit line I paid for. I didn't have the hassles that others are saying they are having opening up a card but then again it's been 6 years.

I called to see if they would assist with putting me on a payment plan or SOMETHING, not that I wouldn't pay but I just needed help. I called all of my other cards and they were wonderful and assisted me with making my payments without falling behind or harming my credit... But CREDIT ONE IS FROM HELL. They gave me the runaround, they were UNBENDING and although I explained what was going on, they seemed to not care at all.
One rep offered me to enroll in the protection program to which I was transferred to another department and they told me because I had a balance I could not enroll and even when I brought my account current that it would not go into effect until after 3 months. I made them notate my account with my situation, they still called and harassed me. I made them take me off their calling list and told them, "WHEN I HAVE THE MONEY YOU WILL GET IT." Today I was reviewing my credit report I saw that I was still being charged the amount of $8.42 but could not utilize or activate the card I have on hand. I called customer service and was told the $8.42 was for maintaining the account, and reporting to the credit bureau. WHAT!
I can't use the card and maintaining for what and reporting to the credit bureau..WHAT. I asked to close the account to stop the payment and it was said that I still owed the fee of $8.42. Come on folks... I've been paying $8.42 monthly for near two for the ability to NOT to use the credit card. I asked for my money back, of course the answer was no. THIS RACKET MUST STOP. Strongly discourage any interaction with this company. My experience with them has been an absolute nightmare. I applied for a credit card on June 15th, and since then, it has been nothing but a series of broken promises and incompetence. Despite calling them every week in July, their customer service was appalling. Each time, I was fed with empty excuses like the card being expedited or rush delivery, but the reality was far from it. On July 5th, I reported that I never received the card, and they assured me a new one would be sent out. However, that only led to more frustration when I called them again on July 12th and found out the card still hadn't been dispatched. The operator claimed there was an issue and that they would rush deliver it, but even then, the card failed to show up within the promised time frame.
On July 20th, after yet another call, they informed me of an "error with shipping" and assured me that the card was finally on its way, expected to arrive in 3-5 days. By now, it was evident that they had no clue about handling their own operations, and their constant lies and delays were simply unacceptable. Feeling rightfully upset, I reached out to them on July 26th, only to be greeted with more errors and excuses. The level of incompetence displayed by this company is staggering. I asked for some form of compensation, such as a credit limit increase or fee removal, given the tremendous inconvenience caused by their incompetence, but they callously denied my request without even a second thought.
It is clear that this company has no regard for its customers' satisfaction or well-being. The way they treat their clients is nothing short of disrespectful and neglectful. For a company that boasts such poor customer service and fails to fulfill its commitments, it's no surprise that they have lost my trust entirely. I have had enough of their unprofessional behavior and will be canceling my card without hesitation. I will never engage in business with this deceitful and unreliable company ever again. They have shown themselves to be nothing more than a bunch of scammers, and I urge everyone to stay far away from them.

They immediately blocked and put a hold on the card when I tried to create my account online. The bank claimed they needed more ID to identify my identity. They claimed they needed my DVM license, Utility Bill and a pay stub. I told them I didn't have a pay stub since I own my own company. Therefore they said I could send a 1099, which I did. They said this wasn't good enough since it didn't match my name. Yet it did match my last name and home address. I told them I still didn't have a W2 but I did have any old one. So they said to send that which I did the next day.
In the meantime, they said I needed to pay my initiation fee even though the card was not active. Now this fee was already late so I had to pay a late fee on top of that. SO I paid $30 for the activation plus a $39 late fee. A couple of weeks go by I don't hear from the bank. I call and they inform me the account is closed because I didn't provide them with enough information. WHAT A JOKE!!! When I asked for my money back they said "No". I am rating them one star because they are full of donkey dust! The fact that they provided me with a credit card based on my credit is all good but means nothing if it is causing me more harm than good. In 2015, I applied for their card. I signed up for coverage that protects you if you cannot pay, i.e., job loss, medical issues... I lost my job about two months after receiving the card. I made payments to the card. FYI - I believe the cost for the coverage was $1.00 in addition to your monthly income.
Well came time for me to use this protection I signed up for and paid for, I was told they did not have my registration application, so I sent it again. I was told the same thing again. So I sent it again. This continued for a few months. During this time, bills are piling up, and I am still out of work...those who've been there know the proverbial drill. Also - I kept in contact with this company because I did not want my account to go to collections as I was rebuilding my credit.
After six months, the card went to collections sometime in 2016. This company continued to push the card through on my credit report as a new collection each year until 2019 when LVNV Funding (a collection agency) picked it up. When I spoke with LVNV Funding, they had filed a judgment against me to collect the funds!
Now, I do not have an issue paying a credit card bill, especially since I want to keep my credit report as clear of those things as possible! However, Credit One breached their protection contract with me by stating they never received it when I confirmed it was accepted! They did not want to honor it. So instead, they sent me to collections.
This bogus collection agency has filed a writ to garnish my wages. Come to find out. This debt should have been removed from my credit report in 2018!! Maryland. If I could go back in time, I would not have signed up for this card if I were starving and my stomach was touching my back!! They are a bunch of scammers, in my opinion!

I’ve had my card over a year. Just paid it off and all payments on time. Now they suddenly need proof of identity and shut my card down? My daughter had the same to happen as well. Submitted it in info online on May 10. Still no resolution on my account. I’ll be closing this account!!
