Credit one bank would not take off the 100.00 fee that was their mistake and would not let up with the phone calls even after I closed my account. They are a very bad company and can't speak a word of English. Look in to that company and its books they are in question. Thank you.

I accepted the offer of a Visa Card... Their logo is identical to Capital One cards which is what I thought I was accepting a Visa card from. When I received the Credit One Visa the logo still looked like Capital One Visa. I am a senior citizen and my vision isn't all that great (especially at night, so I do not drive after dark). A few weeks after I received the card I decided to fill up my car with gas & when I received my first statement a week later, I was shocked to see an annual fee & activation fee in excess of nearly $200.00 + the Shell station charge for the gas! I've never paid annual fees or service charges in my entire adult life. I called them & asked them to explain why I had all these charges for the use of the card & the very rude, thick accented rep (call center is in the Philippines and obviously they hire persons who have not been trained or high school... In my personal opinion).

Anyway fast forward, I received my June statement with credit balance of $158.33 with no payment due by 6/7/15 as I have auto payment from my checking account. Credit One accepted my payment on 5/27/15 even though I had a credit balance. I got a collection call at 7:30AM CST, which awakened me & woman didn't identify herself or company and rudely said "what's your SSN?" & I replied "I don't know who you are" & hung up on her. She called back at 8:00AM & I didn't answer...

Around 10:30AM (& 8 calls later) I answered & I again asked who she is & what company... I couldn't understand her name but Credit One so I accepted the call & asked her why she called me 10 times in less than 4 hours & she talked (yelled) over me & demanded that I give her my SSN, card #, name, address, phone, email and mother's maiden name. I told her she called me & she has all that info on her screen but did repeat several times my account # & last 4 of my Social.

She told me I was in default on my Mind payment & I told her my bill is on auto pay & would call back after contacting my bank & she started yelling at me that she wasn't hanging up until I gave her my debit card to pay & I explained I couldn't continue call as my home healthcare provider just came & she became enraged & told me I would be arrested & hauled to court, my house taken, etc, etc and also will call me every 5 minutes until I made the late charge, the $13+ change I owed. I had her on speaker & my occupational therapist (male) overheard her threats & asked me if he could talk to her and I handed him the phone & he cited laws regarding hours creditors can call (once per day if they speak to me, the illegal threats of having me arrested & taking my home etc) then he hung up & put a block on her #.

Ironically I received my June bill & sure enough they charged $500. Late fee & do not show my $158.33 credit balance as a credit/payment! I called my bank & was told that auto pay in June was not accepted by Credit One as I had a very balance & my bank is sending Credit One proof of my auto pay history & Credit One rejection of June auto pay due to my credit balance & current laws & regulations protecting both consumers & lenders pointing out the serious violations they are guilty of violating my civil rights. I always pay my bills prior to the due date in full or in case of splurges, I pay $330-500.00 not just minimum payment of the individual washer and dryer/dryer. Hopefully if this company will be investigated, fined.

Vet this folks, I've had this card a few years... Thought I was accepting a Capital One card (note logo is identical to Capital One Cards).. Still clueless after I received the card I decided to buy gas and to my surprise a week or so later I received my first statement from Credit One and not only the gas (around $40.00 for a fill up) there was an annual fee, charges for the plastic card processing & credit protect. I was shocked because I never, ever have to pay an annual fee or any service & processing fees (I'm a senior citizen with excellent credit).

Yesterday morning at 7:30am CST from a foreign thick accent who, when I answered my phone (I was awakened by this early call) said to me "give me your social security number" just like that without identifying herself or company! I hung up. Then she called back about 25 minutes later and since I was brushing my teeth I didn't answer the call. Between 8:00-11:00 am she called 8 times! I finally took the last call & again same question & I said "who are YOU & what company?"

I couldn't make out her name but understood "Credit One" & I was wondering what they were calling me for. She then said I hadn't made a payment since April! I told her that is impossible because I have all my bills on auto pay from my bank (due to Credit One's crazy website that takes only 1 payment, takes the money out same day & then drags their feet up to 5 days to post then attempts to charge a $50.00 late fee!). So I opted for my bank to pay them directly. This woman was so rude & loud shouting at me that I needed to bring my account current immediately by my ATM debit card. I told her I would check my bank & call her back then she went crazy verbally telling me to pay right now or I would be arrested, taken to court and my home taken from me!

Before I hung up she also told me she would (& did) call me every 5 minutes till I paid! I looked on my bank account online & saw a payment was credited to them 5/27/15 (due date 6/7/15) & I then called my bank & spent the next hour on the phone with them while they found out why no payment was made 6/27... The bank had attempted to electronically pay them & the payment was rejected by Credit One! As I waited on hold, I found my June statement from Credit One and I had a credit balance of $158.33 with them so according to my bank this was reason the payment was refused.

I called back Credit One and asked to speak to management and spoke to a Mary Joy who listened to me & she still insisted I made a charge late in June & was in default. I was polite and told her my bank did attempt to pay but was rejected because of my credit... She still insisted that I owed the $37.16 I had charged. I told her again her math was off because my statement said credit balance $158.33 & amount due = $00.00 due by 6/7. I finally got angry & yelled at her that this is harassment and violates my civil rights & multiple banking laws & hung up. Ha ha.

Later in afternoon I received my July bill from them with late charges & no credit balance forwarded onto bill! I refuse to pay their outrageous charges & what happened to my credit balance? Do they think I gave them $158.33 to take the Philippines call center out for lunch? This bank needs to be INVESTIGATED FOR ILLEGAL BANKING FRAUD & VIOLATIONS IN HARASSING CUSTOMERS VIA PHONE. I rest my case and please do not do business with Credit One!

These people try to rip me off every chance they get. They lock me out from my online privileges so I'd have to call them. When I do they go straight to making a payment without even asking the reason for the call. They try to charge me for making a payment. When I object, they say it's for express payment which I didn't request, lowered the fee so I'd still have to pay something. I refused, they then waived the fee, only to have the supervisor come on the phone telling me to pay more than I agreed to pay and reinstating the fee. Every other credit card company gave me my credit increase without me asking for one. These guys tell you that you are eligible for an increase and charge for it. I can go on and on about these people but I'm so mad I'm trying to stay within the review guidelines. By the way they still haven't addressed the reason for my call even after I told them.

When my wife and I received a pre-approved application for a Credit One visa with a $300 limit I agreed not knowing what this bank is really made of. We didn't even get a chance to use it and were charged the $39 annual fee off the bat and for an additional card was $19. We didn't object to this but since they didn't tell us about the additional fee of $19 when we added the card I got mad and called them. And then they tell me it's in the disclosure and sure enough it was for it's not that obvious. This bank is one of the biggest scams on the banking industry and is based in and you won't believe this one, Las Vegas, NV. So we closed the account after we made our first payment and it didn't get posted properly since they claimed we entered our banking information incorrectly. I said to them, bullcrap! They closed account and we weren't liable for any charges. Don't use this bank card. They will bleed you dry!

I am sick of Credit One Bank and they should be investigated and have fraud charges filed. Seems the site is down when payments are due and when it is PAST DUE, all of a sudden the site is working without issues!!! What is up with that and how can they get away with abusing their customers. There is not an email available and when you get someone on the phone, no offense, but if you can understand what they are saying then you are lucky. I believe wholeheartedly that we as customers should have some funds/fee returned.

Most banks charge interest after 30 day. This bank CHARGES INTEREST THE DAY YOU MAKE PURCHASES AT A WHOPPING 23%, they are thieves. SO EVEN IF YOU PAY IN FULL YOU WILL STILL BE CHARGED INTEREST. I had my card for 1 month and they charged me $75 fee to start and $15 interest. Try and get a Capital One card. I did, no fee and no interest for 30 days.

First I will say that the application process was simple. I did receive my card with a $300.00 limit back in May of 2014. I made my payments on time every month, and during the holiday season they gave me an increase of $100 to bring my limit to $400. I was completely shocked. All they gave was $100 when I have much higher limits with my other credit card companies. I was told after 12 months my account would be eligible for increase. After my 12 months I applied for an increase, they declined. All I'm told is the accounts are reviewed periodically, which I think is total nonsense.

I will be paying off this card and going with a different credit card company that doesn't charge me annual fees and gives me crap limits. Credit One I hope you read this. Up my limit and I will change my review! You seriously want to lose a customer that's only requesting a $600 increase more to make my credit line $1000? Not only that but a customer that actually pays you each month?

I just activated my card yesterday but after reading all the horrible reviews, I decided to close my account fast. I called the customer service line. I told them, "I want to close my card." I was transferred to someone and, yes, you can barely understand. She tried to persuade me to keep it. I told her I just want to cancel the account and I want a zero balance. If I have to pay the $75 I will. I just want to be done with it. She said I DID NOT have to pay the balance, and she would zero it out and then close my account. I asked for a confirmation number and was given one. Should I be able to trust this? Or should I call back in a day or two to double-check it's closed?

Credit One Bank uses the old automobile sale "bait and switch" modus operandi method. First, they will tell you that you have been pre-approve for $1,500 credit card limit but once you apply you will receive only a $500 credit card limit. However that's not the area where they will try to rip you off your hard-earned money. If you want to pay your monthly payments super fast, meaning if you pay it today they have what they call "Express Payment" and that amount will be credit available to you within 24 business day. BUT there's a $10.00 additional fee.

Well if you want to use their Customer Service Dept. for their "Standard Payment," meaning it will NOT be credit available to you until 4 business days, there will be a $10.00 additional fee. Credit One Bank's paying philosophy is almost similar to the old "mobsters' loan sharking" method. The only difference is that Credit One Bank doesn't send hulking gorillas to your home to break your legs with their baseball bats. Plus...it seems the entire Customer Service Dept. staff speaks with a bag of marbles in their mouths. Not only you CANNOT understand a word they said but their professionalism is left to be undesired; it seems like they want to get rid of you expeditiously so they can attend their daily cultural ceremonies.

I've had Credit One Bank for about four years now. I've never had any problems. Yes, they will nickle and dime you for all sorts of fees, but I knew that going into the account. I had no credit cards for a few years, so I decided to build my credit rating back up. Everything has been fine until the end of May, 2015. I received an alert from my checking account bank that my account was overdrawn. I log in, and wow, an express payment of over six hundred dollars that I did not make to Credit One went through. I alert my bank that it's a pretty weird payment. They mark it as fraud and I call the credit card. They don't seem to understand what happened. They marked it as fraud, and I went on my merry way. Note: I was not late on payments and had just paid them $425.

A few days later, I receive another overdraft notice from my bank. I look at my account, and ANOTHER express payment of $1180 went through. What in the world? I log back into my credit card, and I look through my payments and I realize that their system is duplicating past payments that I've made. Odd. I cancel the card for protection. They tell me it's cancelled. Fine. I'll wait for a new card.

Well the next day I call the credit card company back to verify my account was indeed closed, and it was, but not before a fraud charge of over $680 went through. What? How can a charge go through on an account that was supposed to be closed? They told me that it takes 24 hours before the card is officially closed when their systems update. Yeeeeeah okay. That's shady.

I report this card as fraud, and they tell me everything is taken care of now, that my replacement card is in the mail and no more charges can be made. Fine. Two weeks later, no card. Also note: once the card is cancelled you no longer have access to your online account. You cannot log in to monitor anything. You must have an active, valid card to access your account. No card, but I do receive in the mail that my mailing address has been successfully updated...to one that isn't my address. I have not moved. Of course I call the bank.

As it turns out, AFTER my account was closed, someone either hacked into their shady system OR someone who works there changed my mailing address AND my email address in an attempt to get my new card. At this point, I've had enough. I completely close the account and tell them to mail me my last bill and statement.

I just now, THREE WEEKS LATER, received a statement...that has that $680 fraud charge on it plus two express payment fees for the two payments I never made. I call them again, asking them to tell me what my actual balance is. They don't really know, because their fraud department is still investigating and it will take up to SIX MONTHS to complete the investigation. I ask to speak to a manager. They tell me it's 30-90 days and I'll be receiving information soon and I can just make the minimum payments...only I refuse to give them my bank account information.

So, it's been weeks and weeks. My account was completely compromised. They still do not know what I owe, and now my credit rating (which was just fine before this) will end up taking dings because I don't know what to actually pay them. In short, someone who works for them is either engaging in criminal activity and stealing your information or their system is so weak that their security sucks.

Furthermore, they do not have 24 hour customer service, and aren't even open on Sundays so if you do have to file a fraud alert, you have to wait until they're open, in which case EVEN MORE fraud can happen. I am now filing police reports and wondering if this is going to end up in court. BEWARE. DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT. IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

I opened a credit card with Credit One Bank in the hopes of rebuilding my credit. I only received a $400 limit which I didn't mind because I was eager to start my rebuilding process. Once I got the card and activated I did decide to check reviews on the company and didn't see anything positive about them. But, I still decided to take my chances because I need to rebuild my credit. I made a couple of online purchases with this card with no problem. However, when it's time to pay the monthly bill. I attempted to make an online payment. I provided the company with my saving acct info and the payment was declined. I thought that was strange because I knew I had money in my acct. So, I attempted to make the same payment again for it to be declined again. So, I decided to change accts and use my checking acct to see if the payment would go through that way. And, it eventually did go through.

Fast forward to yesterday I attempt to make a $8 purchase at Toys R Us with my kid and it was declined. I hadn't reached my spending limit so I decided to call Credit One to see why was my purchase declined. They then told me that my acct was put on temporary hold because I had 2 declined bill payments. I told them that wasn't my fault that they were declined because the money was in the account and available. Furthermore they still took the payment from my checking account that was with the same banking institution as my saving account and that payment went through. So, as soon as the payment was received the HOLD should have been lifted. They told me I needed to get a letter from my bank to mail to them to verify that these accounts were in fact my accounts.

1st of all it's 2015 - who still sends mail through the postal service. IF I would have did that it probably would have taken 2 weeks or more to just get the hold lifted. The "middle eastern" guy - ANTHONY, I was talking to clearly didn't want to deal with me and passed me along to his supervisor. In my experience I only get passed along to a supervisor if I'm upset or yelling at the representative. But, that wasn't the case yet. I nicely told the lady that I wasn't upset so I didn't understand why I needed to speak to a supervisor but since she was here to help I hoped she would do just that... HELP. I explained the situation to her and she still insisted on this letter. So, I told them we could call my bank and have it verified. I've never heard of such a thing in my life that a credit card company needs to verify banking information. One company has nothing to do with the other.

So, we call my FCU to confirm my account; while on the phone the Credit One rep - SONYA spoke with my FCU and verified that I did in fact have a savings acct at that bank. So, I'm thinking this is the end of the call - the hold will be lifted and I can go on about my day. Then she says that she needs to verify my checking account. I said "Ma'am we were just on the phone with them. Why didn't you ask when we were on the phone." Is it that unlikely that I have a checking and a saving account with the same bank... (like really). Long story short, this HORRIBLE bank made me feel like a criminal for my own accounts. How about targeting the real criminals and treat your customers fairly. This process is stupid and embarrassing. Needless to say I will be paying off any monies owed to them and NEVER using this credit card again. I want to feel like a valued customer with any company I deal with and not like a criminal.

When I asked them why they are charging me this fee he stated "If you do not use it, they charge a fee so they can continue to report to the credit companies to help my credit". I called customer serv and they said I gave a fraudulent bank account to make a payment which is ridiculous because I am calling them asking why my payment didn't come out. She had me read my actual account number and I guess that because it was one digit off they believed me. Her exact words were, "Let me correct that for you sir." So she entered the proper account information and she asked how much I wanted to pay. I said 50 dollars.

Remember these words because this is what they will say to you every time you tell them how much you want to pay. "Sir let’s go ahead and make it 100 dollars. Then you will have more to spend on your card." OMG they treat you like you are stupid. If I wanted to pay 100 I'd pay 100 and yeah I guess I'd have more to spend on my card but less in my pocket. These Filipinos and Indians are so highly scripted it's a joke that they say you are talking to a human. They are robots. So as she said she corrected it and I made my payment, guess what? Next month same thing. I was locked out of being able to log into my account. I called in and they are telling me my account was fraudulent.

I read my account number and again off by the same number. Here is the catch though. I was dropped by them. They closed my account. The old two strikes rule. I told them that I thought the lady changed it last time but I guess I was supposed to go online and change my account number after I spoke to them last time. So I was a paying customer, never late except those two times and even then only by 2 or 3 days and they closed my account. I begged if they could have someone from the US call me so I could explain because these people cannot handle curve balls. Three weeks later I got a call and she told me the same thing. I said "fine can I make a payment?" "Yes for a 10 dollar fee or you can go online and pay." But I am locked out and can't log in anymore. Actually never again. Why lock a person out of their online account so they cannot make payments?

Again I just want to reiterate what my crime here was. When setting up auto payment I entered my account number ex ** instead I typed **. I called in to correct it and when I did that I figured that they corrected the mistake for me in the online system. They didn't, even though the words they used were "let me correct that for you sir." So again when they tried to take out my payment it was an invalid account. So they dumped me. Now I either have to call in or mail a payment. Calling in costs 10 bucks but I do it anyways because I always forget to mail it in time. Then I say "I want to pay 50 dollars" and they say, "Sir let's make it" and I cut them off and say "I want to just pay 50 bucks," and they say "that will be 9.99 for MoneyGram sir. Why don't you just pay online?" And I say “because I got kicked out. “

That's it though. Oh one more thing. My sister paid off the entire balance one time because we wanted to see how it would affect my credit score. I call in. Explain that my sister wants to make a payment for me. The guy barely understands but has me put her on the phone. She gives him all of the info he asks to satisfy their sec requirements. 3 weeks later I get a letter stating that they were going to suspend my account unless the person that made the payment filled out all of these forms. What a pain in the you know what. Totally unreasonable. Treat you like a child. I now have a 787 credit score and I am proud to say that I am not a Credit One Bank customer because they dumped me.

First of all I hit 1 for ENGLISH however I could not get anyone on the other end of the line that could speak English!? The first call to them I spelled my name and made sure they understood each and every letter (i.e. S as in Sam, L as in Letter etc...) the person repeated this all back CORRECTLY to me while on the phone. However, when I checked my account online (never did receive my new card) they spelled my name wrong! Called again to get name corrected & asked them why I haven't received new card, and if they could make correction and make sure new card would have correct spelling.

The person supposedly was going to correct my name however he said I would have to send them copy of my marriage certificate, along with a letter stating my name changed from previous to married name along with $25.00 for new card! I asked to speak to supervisor since I didn't have to do any of this for other cards nor did I have to pay to get new card. I was hung up on 4 times (supposedly accidentally disconnected) on 5th call I talked to a so-called supervisor who did confirm I had to pay $25 also send all the information. Needless to say my husband and I will be paying off our balance (we both have cards) and cancel our cards with them. This company is AWFUL! They also need reps that can speak ENGLISH!

This company has so many issues you have no idea where to begin. Their customer service reps are extremely rude and unhelpful. The on hold music played in the foreground during my 2 conversations, including with the supervisor, and I tried to tell them I could not hear what they were saying well at all. They could have cared less. If you use this card for a hotel deposit, and the hotel does not actually charge your account, they will keep it pending for longer than the 7 days they state it will remain on hold, and don't care to help you. Capitol One is a people friendly, customer service oriented bank that this company should take lessons from. Next, their service charges are outrageous.

We will be paying this account off as quickly as possible and would tell EVERYONE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, try a different reputable company that cares about their customers. When I told them I would close this account out, I was told basically to go right ahead. They would not even answer a simple bank related question because I was not the primary card holder and my husband is. Not true of any other bank or company. I am a cardholder with my husband and they gladly took the payment that I made, not my husband on the account.

The charge I was inquiring about was made by ME on MY card and all I asked was how long until the pending charge was reversed. Although I am a card holder, this question could have been answered for any living person, whether you have a card or not. After getting to the screaming portion of the call, he answered the question as 7 days and I said, "It has been 7 days." This should never have happened this way. He should have been courteous and answered this easily, but preferred to continue to keep saying he couldn't answer the question for me. WOW, WOW, WOW. Please use another customer friendly company if you want a credit card. There are so many.

I use it and try to pay the balance off each time. I go on it today to check the balance so I can pay it off and I see that my CL Is now 700. I'm very worried it's only been 3 months. This card for me has no stable minimum payment. It's always different but I pay over the amount each time so I'm not worried, but I am confused. The most complaints I read on here are about customer service. Well you pay your bill on time you don't have to worry about the side of things. The other complaints I see have to do with fees and the biggest problem fee is the charge of $9.95 for a payment. That is or an express payment or a payment you want posted the next day. If you are needing money on there that bad say if you're a day away from your due date then there is no reason to use that feature. Just use the regular payment method that is free and takes 3-4 days to post due to the payment having to clear your bank.

Remember this card is for rebuilding or bad credit people you're not going to get rates or fees worth anything. Sure there are cards out there that are better, but you're looking to better your credit score not keep the card for the long haul. So I advise you to activate it use it to maybe buy a fast food meal or some gas once a month and pay it off on every bill then when your credit gets good enough get a better card and deactivate this one and move on. Remember also when looking for other cards every credit check you're due by applying or a new card is 2 points off of your credit score for 2 years even if approved. The more inquiries you have also hurts your credit worthiness.

DO NOT open an account with this bank. Worst procedures I have ever seen. I was trying to help my friend build credit so paid $75 to open an account with $400 credit. All we charged were the monthly utility bills. The first month, I received a late fee. Never received a bill, so I called and they waived the fee. I paid the amount they told me to pay. Next month, I opened an online account, looked at the statement and paid it 2 weeks early. Interest charges continued to accrue. I called, and they said, "You have to find out the balance due by calling, and you cannot just pay the statement amount".

Next month, I called to find out the balance, paid it online, and was still charged interest, because it took them two days to deduct the money from the checking account. We said, CANCEL it. Asked what the balance due was and paid it. Next month, they literally hounded me for an additional interest and late fees after the balance was paid in full and the account was closed. Worst experience I ever had with a banking organization.

I opened this card almost a year ago to help re-establish my credit. That was the worst mistake I could have made! Every time I try to make a payment, they don't process it. Then they charge a late fee because the payment was never processed. When I called to ask why it wasn't processed they essentially said it was my fault for not having the money in my checking account... Uhm NO IT'S STILL THERE WAITING TO BE PROCESSED! The only way to get your payment to process and paid on time is if you pay the $9.95 "express payment" fee (convenient huh?).

I just spent a while on the phone with them and a supervisor said he would remove the most recent late fee as a nice gesture and made it all sound like he was doing me a favor. I could not get him to understand that I should have never been charged a late fee because I paid my payment on time but THEY chose not to process it. Long story short, I will be closing this account in two weeks (I'm sure with a lot of trouble in doing so) and I advise anyone to stay away from this company. They sound great to those trying to rebuild their credit but in the long run they only hurt your credit when your credit report shows late fees every month.

Stay away from this 'bank.' Do not do business with them. They closed my account because a customer service representative erroneously entered my bank account information into their system when their online bill pay was offline. My account was issued a $9.95 fee for this service. Instead of contacting me to straighten out the issue (they have my e-mail and phone number), they kept trying to run the payment with incorrect payment information. They did this three times. After the third 'returned payment' (none of the three I was aware of) they sent me a letter stating that they were closing my account due to these 'issues.'

I am all for opportunity employment, but every customer service representative I spoke to has used very broken English. It is clear to me there was a language barrier, and that is something that is very risky when your money is at stake. Up until the phone conversation when I tried to make my payment that way, I had NO issues whatsoever with Credit One. I did not miss any payments, nor did I have any issue in using the card. I went from having a pristine record with them, to having my account closed in a 27-day span. I have cards with Capital One and First Premier Bank, and I have had no issues with either of them and still choose to do business with them.

The most puzzling piece to this puzzle is that I have had this account with Credit One since June of 2014 & they have not yet once reported my activity to ANY of the credit bureaus. For a card that is supposed to help rebuild your credit, that is very fishy. I am alerting my primary bank and the credit bureaus of their practices. This screams scam. If you receive an offer from them, do not take it. There are other ways out of whatever situation you find yourself in.

Updated on 07/14/2015: I made my 5th phone call in two weeks to Credit One today. I figured I would give them one last shot to make good on the HORRIBLE experience I've had with them in the last 45 days. I'd been having this ongoing issue with their customer service erroneously trying to process payments with incorrect payment information that they themselves put in. This error happened when making a payment over the phone when their online payment system was down. The result of their trying to put these payments through that were being returned (3 returned payment in 8 days) caused my account to be closed before I even noticed the payment never processed.

Long story short, after 11 days of them saying 'my bank account didn't exist' (yes, you read that right) & me needing to send them a bank validation certificate (whatever the heck that is), the payment I tried making on July 3rd finally posted today, not July 3rd, but July 13th. This after I resorted to writing a check for the same amount and sent it out to them in the mail. So now they're getting paid twice. Anyway, I talked to a pretty competent representative today and she was able to 'reopen my account' & confirm my correct bank account information. I am paying the balance off completely and cutting the card up. I did make mention in a previous review that Credit One has not been reporting to the credit bureaus. That was false - they have reported my activity 1 time since my account was opened with them in 2014.

If you're in a bind and absolutely need a credit card, then accept the offer. But make sure you stay on top of it or you will pay for it dearly with your time, stress and of course your money. I know now that this card is for a last resort when in a worst case scenario. Capital One has been great. First Premier Bank has also upped their game, but dealing with Credit One has been a nightmare no amount of cold water can wake you up from. Morale of the story is still: stay as far away from this circus as humanly possible.

I called because I had made an express payment. Truth be said I had no idea the card was closed because of inactivity or less than a year, but I was still making payments. So I made a payment of $109 and $9 was the fee for the express payment. When I checked my online account it was applied with an available credit. So I decided to try and use the card. It didn't work. I called customer service and spoke to "Peter" and asked did the person who took my payment didn't inform me the card was closed because in that case I would have made a regular payment instead making it an express payment with a $9 fee. "Peter" told me it is not their job to let us know that. They only take payments. But I told "Peter" I asked the representative when will the funds be available. He told me the next business day.

So I asked "Peter" if it's not their job to tell us the account was closed, why is it okay for them to lie about the funds being available. Needless to say "Peter" put me on a 15min hold then got back on the phone and said "You need to call back and another customer service representative will help you". I asked for a manager, and he stated "They are all busy, you just need to call back". What a dumb customer service. To top it off they took $509 not $109 so I disputed it thru my bank and got the money and paid my balance of $109. What type of customer service would tell you to call back just so you can talk to someone else because they can't get a manager on the phone? Granted I am new to this company, but after my ex husband trashed my credit (I'm NOT paying the bill for his entertainment of other women while we were married!), I was happy to have a second chance. I don't care what your financial situation is, pay your bill in full every month, and as soon as you get it. Don't wait for the due date! If you can't pay it in full each month, then DON'T SPEND THE MONEY! I suspect that the problems people have experienced are of their own making, and probably what sank their credit in the first place.

I have had NO PROBLEMS with Credit One. I appreciate the second chance. I send a check for full balance and even a little more every month and I don't pay interest, or late fees. Get a clue people! It's not the bank's fault that you went over your credit limit, or are late. I DO however agree with the language barrier. I have encountered similar experiences with other companies like Best Buy.. nobody understood what anybody was saying and nothing got resolved over the phone. Consider sending issues in writing to the address on the back of your bill. That preserves your rights and establishes a timeline. Verbal conversations are hard to prove. Bottom line is, if you don't have it, don't spend it. You'll be a lot happier if you control what you can, and leave the 'issues' to those that have them.

I applied for a credit one card that I thought I would use for emergencies. I've had the card for three months and have incurred almost $200 in fees. I have currently only used the card one time for a $29 purchase. This company specializes in theft. That's what this is. They prey on the members of the public that can least afford this shell game. They make it very easy to get a card. They then immediately pile on fees and in some cases even before you've used the card you "owe" them almost a $100. These fees that seemed to show up weekly, have taken my balance up to over $200 dollars on a total of $29 in purchases. Then of course comes the real game. Just see how easy it is to cancel your card. Good luck. Run away. Run away fast.

I have been reading all the negative reviews and don't understand where they are coming from. Everyone is stating there is no other option than to pay a 9.50 fee to process your payment online? This is false! When you pay online it specifically gives you an option, yes to use the express payment which posts same day for 9.50 fee or you can add a bank account which is free of charge and they just take the money out in 2 business days! I've never had an issue making my payment this way. Yeah the yearly fee is charged with your first statement as well, but it's an overall good card and I don't understand where all these issues for several people are coming regarding the payment..

I spoke with a customer service rep that identified himself as **. I ask for confirmation of my cancellation request and was given an ID number. Hopefully, that will be the end of my foolish mistake. I actually thought it was a preapproved offer from Capital One. Guess their marketing strategy works because I read a couple of reviews that made the same error. However, I have no faith what I was told in my telephone conversation will be acted upon. This is the reason for my review. I want proof that I did attempt to cancel my request within and one hour of completing the online application on 6/30/2015.

After waiting 24 days for my card to arrive, I finally received it 4 days before my due date. I called to inquire about pushing my due date back since I only just received it and haven't used or even activated it. They told me not to worry, don't activate the card until after the due date, and my new due date would be the following month (same date). Well, that's just what I did. I activated my card 2 days after the due date and purchased gas. 5 days later I'm on E again but when I try to purchase my gas, it says declined.

I called 1st thing Monday morning (today) and after being asked 6 verification questions the 1st thing that comes out his mouth is "your balance is this and that. What is your debit card number so you can make a payment". At this point I am confused and I told him I wasn't calling to pay anything. He asked what I was calling for and I told him the case and he acted as if he didn't comprehend so I asked for a supervisor.

The supervisor asked the reason for my call and I explained the situation. He asked "who told that information" and I didn't have a name for him, I just replied "one of your representatives". He said it was incorrect and that there was no documentation on that initially call. He then told me that I need to pay at least the minimum of $25 for my card to work again. I asked him what he was gonna do for me since I was given the wrong information by a rep. And he said "Ma'am there is nothing I can do. You need to make a payment because you're past due". The credit card fees are billed monthly which created a late fees situation automatically as I was not aware that I charged anything. When I tried to close that account several times I was put on hold for extensive periods of time only to be put in touch with the specialist who tried to talk me out of closing the account making it very difficult to even close that stupid account. I never used the card much (I have other cards with lower interest rates), so when I finally got tired of the charges and total lack of "understanding" shall we say, I cancelled the card... Week later it still showed open so I called for verification.

It was in fact closed and could barely HEAR the person and after she hung up on me, I called back and could again barely understand her. I understand the value of bi-lingual service, however, I DO believe that if they are bi-lingual they should be able to be understood clearly in ENGLISH (as I am in the US) as well as whatever 2nd language they speak.

So it's been a while since I've opened any accounts, I kept getting offers in the mail, etc. Finally I received one from Credit One, they are offering me $300 - good enough to start over, or at least I thought. I opened this account back in Feb 2015, they approved me for $1000 (way too much, but I planned on only using it for small purchases and making monthly payments to show I am able). The first purchase I made was 2 months later, at dinner out with friends and it was declined!! I thought to myself, I did activate this one right? So I shrugged it off and waited to call till the next day.

I called in and was told that my account was past due and the balance was $97. I said to the man on the phone "interesting, because I haven't used it since I activated it over 2 months ago!" After calmly arguing back and forth for a few minutes he finally said they would "waive" this fee of past due, etc, etc. I thought to myself, I should just close it now because if this is how I'll be treated I don't want any part of it. Boy should I have listened to that inner voice of reason! It's now June and I have been charged almost $200 in open ended fees that I'm not really sure are "real." I have made countless phone calls to straighten this out but I am never reassured when I hang up the phone. I will tell you this: lesson learned - next time I want to apply for a credit card, I will read reviews FIRST!!!! Would have saved me on this one!!!

I would never recommend this to anyone. I always pay them 2 weeks in advance, then the following month they sent my bill and they still charge me with a late pay. Then I go online to pay my bills, they won't let me sign in. So I paid off my whole balance, again I pay them two weeks advance, I was so happy I finally paid them off, then again they still send a bill that I owe them. I didn't even use my card for 1 year, and all I do is keep paying them, and if you try to call them you always on hold. This is a bad credit card, bad experience, bad customers service - it's a big SCAM.

I signed up for a $1,000 credit card. They charged $75 yearly fee to start, long before I even got my card. After I got my card I bought some things and got a statement in the mail as expected. When I signed online to pay, it said Past Due Alert. Apparently there was a payment period after the $75 yearly fee had been charged, which I never got a mailed statement for. So I was charged a $25 fee.

Add to that, payment on an account that is past due is charged $9.50 for what they call express payment. I asked if it's possible to make a payment without paying the $9.50, and they said no. I asked about setting up auto pay while on the phone. And the nice lady on the other end informed me that they do not have auto pay because it might cause my bank account to overdraft. In other words they make it more difficult for me to make payments as a way of helping me! Crazy. Should be illegal what they're doing.

Then we get bill for $75, then he says it is an annual fee that says minimum payment $25, and god forbid you are a day late on the $25 payment, because $75 annual fee goes to well over $100, and then even when you cancel said card with the understanding that the card has in fact "been cancelled" and "zero balance", as well as, zero fees accruing.

3-months later he gets umpteen calls a day and a bill for nearly $200. Then the lady on the phone today says she can "cancel it" (wait it was already cancelled back in March), she says she can stop the phone calls, and stop the credit bureau reports, which by the way are now ruining my husband's credit that he has never had in the first place. She says she can clear it up if we sent her $120. She wanted us to pay it over the phone! WTF is anyone doing about this company. I am down with a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT! It is nearly impossible to avoid paying interest charges because interest charges begin the day of your purchase or cash advance. You cannot pay online ahead of your statement and you cannot pay online to have a credit balance. Basically, Credit One credit cards charges interest immediately after a purchase or cash advance. The word "Credit" in Credit One should be changed to "Loan Shark" One Card. Since I cannot make advance payments online, I made an advance payment using Bill Pay with online banking. I have yet to see what happens if I do that.

I had another credit card with another provider, $300 limit. I was using it and paying the minimum +$25 to establish a good credit history. When this application arrived, I figured why not, I'll use both sparingly and have some diversity in payments. When the card arrived, it was followed a couple of days later with a billing statement for the initial card fee. I knew this going in, but the bill showing up when you may not have even received your card yet was a bit absurd.

Fast forward to the first billing cycle of using the card. I log into the website and try to add my checking account for online payments. It rejected the ABA Routing number saying it needs one starting in a 0, 2, 3 or 6. I found it odd since mine starts with a zero and I entered it that way. I tried two more times to the same result, then gave up thinking it might be an issue with being on a mobile device. Turns out it wasn't since I got the same result from a desktop.

Meanwhile I can't get in contact with them and a paper bill shows up - with a late fee already on it. How are you going to send a paper bill that obviously was created and mailed AFTER the due date had passed since the fee was placed on it? I'm planning to continue to try to get in touch with them, pay off the card and cancel. I'll be reporting to the BBB as well. I will NOT be paying the late fee. If I can't, then I'll file a dispute with the credit bureau and let mediation handle it.

I was approved for $500.00 and was very surprised, as my credit was pretty bad (602). And was ready to pay a $99 membership fee, but as of yet I have not charged and I've had the card for a little over a month. My first bill was $30 on $117 balance, but after setting up my online account, which was very easy, I made a payment of $50. I checked my account this morning and discovered that they raised my credit limit to $700. As someone who really took his credit for granted and put myself in this mess, with my low score am very thankful to Credit One for giving me an opportunity to get back on track.

For those people who are dissatisfied with the company, just remember you applied for the card because of your bad credit situation and sometimes we pay for our mistakes - high interest, high fees. Like all credit card companies if you make your payments on time and they are happy and you remain in good standards.

So I applied for a credit card through Credit One Bank. I hardly used my card and before the due date of the 6th I get a phone call one week ahead pressuring me to pay. Then online they take 4 business days to withdraw the money out of your account to pay or pay a 9.95 express payment. Sometimes it takes longer than 4 business days to post and it seems like they intentionally prolong the posted payment past your due date to charge you a late fee. I finally made a full payment of $300 something dollars so I can use it on vacation. Once it posted I couldn't use it because they cancelled it and I couldn't even use my card and they got a full payment and once again it posted past the 6th and was charged another late fee.

So with a closed account I couldn't log in to make a payment but was still charged late fees. They had cancelled my account because of two returned payments because they took so long to withdraw from my account without any notification saying it was in their disclosures. If I had known, I would have made just a minimal monthly payment on a closed account that I can not use. Then paying the closed late fee of $48, I couldn't log in to make a payment so I called. I ensure with the customer service representative if there was any processing fee and she told me "no", not for the state of Colorado. I transferred some money into my other checking account to make sure I had exactly that amount to pay off the account but it didn't post yet.

When I called a week later to pay off the $48 they now told me I had to pay $90 dollars because of another late fee plus a $9.95 processing fee. I was so angry that they will charge me another late fee for a closed account and a processing fee when the week before the agent told me the state of Colorado doesn't require a processing fee. Because I'm rebuilding my credit I had to pay them so I called back later on that day with a new agent and she waived the processing fee when I questioned her about some states having processing fee and others don't. So she said I didn't have to pay a processing fee. I wanted to pay it full so I tried with a credit card and they told me they don't accept credit cards so I told her I would have to make a split payment with two different checking accounts to make the full payment and she said ok.

So I paid $45 with one and then the rest with the other. Unfortunately the second payment got declined because THEY can't accept two payments within a day. So she asked me to call back the next day to pay off the rest. So the next day I called to make the rest of the payment they told me I had to pay a processing fee. When I questioned him about state specific processing fee, he told me they did me a favor by waiving these fees and that it's not the state you live in but the state they do business out of so I had to pay regardless.

I told him it wasn't my fault if I tried to pay it the day before when there was no processing fee in full and they couldn't accept two payments in a day. So he told me to mail a payment but I don't have checks and their website doesn't allow me to go pay. Overall, this company has been a hassle to deal with and I feel that they have pulled every resource to charge me with any fees they can think of and any excuses. I've been told so many different disclosures they had that as a customer I'm so confused. I would never ever get a card with Credit One. They have no customer service skills and very hard to deal with. They also treat their customer like crap.

First of all, this company misleads consumers into believing they are receiving a CAPITAL ONE card since the logo and font are identical. I didn't even realize it was a CREDIT ONE bank card until I received it in the mail. Secondly, the notice of the bogus $75 annual fee is intentionally in microscopic writing and applied immediately before anyone even gets the chance to activate it or use it.

I accepted the pre-approved offer on April 23, 2015, received my card a week later, activated it on May 19, 2015, and then have NEVER used it! I then received a phone call on June 8, 2015 from someone in Florida informing me that I had an overdue balance of $101.49, which I found to be shocking, considering I had never used it. I was then informed that there was a $75 annual fee applied to the account and that a $25 late fee was also applied because the annual fee payment was overdue.

I was livid and when I asked about my statement informing me of the payment, I was told it was sent to me on June 4th, JUST 4 DAYS PRIOR. When was there ANY opportunity to pay this balance to avoid the ridiculous late fee? The customer service department is incomprehensible, rude, and offensive. I attempted to just pay the $101.49 AND the ridiculous $9.95 fee to process the payment over the phone (with the intentions of immediately canceling the card). The CSR told me "You have insufficient funds."

While he verified the account number I gave him, I pulled up my bank account on my computer and was staring at PLENTY of money to cover the charge, so I told him to run the card again. He did, and then proceeded to tell me, "You don't have any money." He insisted that I give him another bank card number and that if the balance was not taken care of "today", there would be another late fee applied. I became extremely suspicious, hung up, and immediately called my bank.

Unbeknownst to me, my bank froze my debit card due to suspected fraudulent use that morning (someone in China had successfully charged my account for $157.97 and on the second attempt to charge my account with $257, my bank put a freeze on the card, thank goodness). Regardless, the CSR should have used less offensive language rather than "you don't have any money"!!!

After visiting my bank, canceling my debit card, and activating a new one, I called Credit One customer service back to pay the balance. After voicing my complaints to this CSR, he was able to lower the balance to $50, which I was happy with, however, after the transaction was complete, he THEN tells me that because he did me this "FAVOR" of lowering the balance, I no longer had the option to cancel the card for a full year!!!

I am writing a complaint to the BBB, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission and Capital One and I encourage everyone else to do the same, otherwise CREDIT ONE BANK will continue to mislead American consumers into believing they are getting a credit card from a reputable company like Capital One!!!

I've had my Visa Credit1 card for a few years. It seems like a great offer for someone with not-great credit, but it's actually a horrible deal. The interest rate (mid 20's) and annual fee ($100/yr.) are ridiculous and you get no benefits with those outside of a 1% back on gas purchases. They will constantly offer to increase your limit for a nice $15 charge and express payments are also available for a fee. Only 4 payments can be submitted within a month on the entire account (even with 2 cards, you can only make 4 payments). Their customer service is crap. Not to run on a tangent about oversea call centers because I've had great experiences with some, but Credit1 uses a lower quality one. That's a general review of the company and their services.

My Story: Early April 2015, Credit1 had a breach and reissued my Visa card. Unfortunately, during this time, I was also moving. It wasn't until after settling down that I came across a letter stating my card was being reissued and that my current card was cancelled a few days before. Also, unfortunately, the day I changed my address was the day they should've sent out the card. I call and tell them the situation with the address changing and the new card. Seems like a simple fix and they said my Visa card would be mailed to my new address. Wait a few weeks (late-May), no card. Call them again, repeat the steps, they said my Visa card would be mailed, blah blah.

Week and half later (early June), get my card... but it's the Mastercard one, not the Visa, even after telling them I had two accounts and that the Visa card had the issue. Call them again, tell them I was hoping to use the card on my vacation. They offer to resend it, but it won't get here until after I leave. Ask about overnight/express shipping, they say it's a $19 charge for a 4-5 delivery which would still be too late. $19 dollars for a 4-5 day delivery? You can overnight it with UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc. for less than that and regular delivery is 7-10 days, so $19 knocks off 2 days? Are they using Pony Express? What year is it? I tell them regular deliver is fine. I probably won't even activate it and just cancel it. For that annual fee and interest rate, I would hope faster better service was available.

But, after comparing the reviews to the information that Credit One sent to me in my pre-approval packet, I realized that every charge and item that other reviewers were complaining about were CLEARLY outlined in the terms before even signing up for the card.

Yes, I messed up my credit in a big way in my younger years. This really hurts since I am not able to get a credit card with a decent rate, or buy a house, or enjoy any of the luxuries those with good credit have. But, you reap what you sow. So, until I can prove myself credit worthy, I will have to work with programs such as these. I can't speak for how the customer service department is, because I PAY MY BILL ON TIME! In doing this, I have received no late fees and no collections calls. Credit One's online account site is easy to use, payments post as promised (if not a day or two earlier), and they even show my current credit score which is updated monthly.

If you have poor credit and are looking for a good way to start rebuilding, I highly recommend this card. Is it expensive? Yes! Is the interest rate high? YES! But, all of the fees, rates, and terms are clearly listed in the literature received before or during the application process. I was not planning on resubmitting an additional payment under any circumstances. My account was debited for the correct amount of that transaction.

I have been carrying a zero balance. I keep check on my account a couple of times a week. Then I noticed I had a $1.05 balance on a previous zero balance account. I just paid it. I am utilizing this card to improve my credit score. In reading the numerous complaints I am glad to know that I can request to speak with someone in the USA.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with C1 bank. I have tried to pay my bill online for the last 2 days. However, the system won't let me. I have reset my password and it still kicks me out. I called them and they told me to reset it using my computer and not on my phone. I followed their advise, but I still had the same problem. Please read the bad reviews. There are way more negative than there are positive. I have First Premier. Never had a problem with them. I have 2 cards. I can pay over the phone or online for free on the automatic system anytime. C1 charges $9.99 online or over the phone with a representative. They don't have automatic system service.

No statements came. Nothing. I last night May 28 2015 look at credit karma and there's Credit One! I was so mad and called the guy. He says "you're 200 over limit." As I was talking he stopped me and said "now let me talk. Shut up and listen," and my reply was BBB and hung up phone. This is outrageous and unlawful!

This credit card has been a nightmare. I needed some extra money on my trip, so I thought why not. I paid the $75 initiation fee. Before I even received my card I had two late fees already added that totaled $50. They took off the second one. I received my card about 4 days later. When I received the next statement, I was expecting the $10 I owed to be on it, which it was, with another late fee.

I tried to pay online and dispute the late fee. When I logged in to my account, they said my info was not correct, so the next day I called to pay and they would not accept my payment over the phone. I ask them to close out my account because I could pay online. They said they would and they would mail me my statement. Three weeks have past and no statement.

Today I noticed a number that called 6 times. I called back and it was them. I wanted to nip this in the bud. Even though I had my confirmation number, they still tried to charge me yet another late fee. I wasn't having that. So after a lot of **, I finally was able to pay off the original $10 I owed them. If you are thinking about getting a credit card, I urge you to pass on this one. I wish I would have read the reviews first. This card cost me quite a bit of money and I only used it one time for a $10 purchase. The payment process and customer service is the worst. I have 3 other credit card that I have never had an issue with. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one.

Credit one did not charge an annual fee for the first year. They gave me credit when I was turned down elsewhere. Because they approved my credit app, I was on my way to building a better and positive credit rating. Even with the small monthly charge after the first year, I kept this card. Credit is not easy to rebuild after you ruin it and this card is way better than the other ones that prey on your poor score and charge the card immediately hundreds of dollars upon opening it. I would recommend this card for anyone rebuilding credit or who were in the same situation as me.

I received an offer for credit and decided to check out the reviews… Having read them I took a closer look at Credit One's offer. Be sure you can live with their terms before applying. The letter says no over limit fees and no penalty APR. However, you start paying interest as soon as a purchase posts which means even if you pay it before the due date you have accrued interest. There are set-up/maintenance fees that are billed monthly and late payment fees. You pay membership in year 1 up front and monthly in following years.

Having recently come off bankruptcy I was tempted in an effort to rebuild my credit. Having held off long enough though I received a better offer from Capital One, lower APR, no interest until after the payment due date, and no annual fee. My advice, if you are in a situation similar to mine, is hold off until the right offer comes through. I will be rebuilding with a reputable company rather than getting ripped off at every turn by a company who will likely give me the same low $300 credit limit. Don't fall back into the hole from which you just dug out.

I have had this card for a little over a year or maybe about a year. To start they didn't send me my bill until it was overdue. When I finally did get my bill I saw so many interest this, interest that and of course the late fee that became my fault. Needless to say I was annoyed. I only owed $50.88 with a credit of $400 so there was money in the acct, but they decided to freeze my account until the posted date check cleared which was for this Thursday. I was trying to make purchases and couldn't and every time I would call each CS idiot would tell me "Mrs. ** you will be able to use your acct by midnight." LIARS... Midnight would come and go and nothing until I got fed up with them with the lack of communication and PROPER ENGLISH SPEAKING C.S REPS. that I called them one last time and just closed my acct with them for numerous reasons.

You could never get a straight, CLEAR answer from anyone. What threw me off the edge and I actually do think now that they are sitting somewhere overseas in shorts and no shirt, was that they told me that they couldn't fax me or email me stating that I wanted to close my acct with them. She said the only form they available was through the mail. SERIOUSLY NO FAX, NO EMAIL, NO PROPER ENGLISH SPEAKING REPS, NO CLEAR ANSWERS EVER! Yes they charge interest from day one, and there is a $45 annual fee, but you can get your annual fee reduced to $25. I called and told them I didn't want to open the account when I received the card and they lowered it immediately. Yes the person was from a foreign country and a little difficult to understand but what customer service rep isn't these days. I was not on hold forever, they were not rude to me everything was just fine.

I made three separate purchases and pay them all off almost instantly. Within two weeks I got a free credit line increase to $700. I didn't even ask, they just did it. A lot of these negative reviews are by people who paid their bill late then got hit with fees or did not read the terms before they accepted the card and wondered why they got hit with an annual fee. Read the terms. Pay your bill on time and this is just as good as any other card with the exception that they charge interest from day one, but picky bankrupt people can't be choosers

Then checked my card account and found they declined the transaction. Now I have to make the same payment again. Please be aware and read the fine lines because that's their line that we don't read the agreement. What a rip off. Thank God I closed this account.

    Updated review: Dec. 12, 2016

It took approximately six months before this company started reporting. I felt like that was a long time, but I guess that's the cost of having poor credit.

    Original Review: May 2, 2015

I was attempting to purchase a home, but was unable to qualify for a loan due to a poor credit score. I contacted a consultant trying to get options for raising my credit score. He suggested I apply for a secured or unsecured credit card. He said to only utilize about 30% of the credit limit and pay it off each month, or pay payments, but to pay them on time each month. He said this would help build up my credit score. I chose this card, despite the monthly/yearly service fee (which I pay simply for the privilege of owning their card), plus their ridiculous apr. The ONLY reason I got this card was because it was the only company that would issue me a credit card based on my credit score. I read through all the paperwork (pages and pages of fine print) and thought it was a small price to pay for rebuilding my credit.

I have had this card for 3 months now. Every time I log in to check out the activity on my account to be sure I'm being charged what I expected, I also click on the link at the top of the column located on the right upper side of the page. It clearly says, "Credit Score Active." Below that it says "Credit Score N/A." Below that is a link to click on, which takes me to another page where I can "view complete summary" of that report. However, when I click the link, it goes to a new page which I'm assuming is where my credit score information is supposed to be. There is a graph chart and below it is a "Summary of Your Credit Report." Every single category has a zero in it.

This is very disheartening to me because I only got this credit card on the advice of a credit counselor. The company charges an atrocious amount of fees for the privilege of owning their great card, which I have paid, on time, for the past 3 months, just to find out they aren't even reporting to the credit agencies!!!! I Googled a few things, trying to find out why this is the case, and every time I do, I come across forums of people who are completely dissatisfied with this company. The next time, I will definitely do my homework before hand. Lesson learned. ):

I received an offer in the mail of a $300 credit card with Credit One. I do not have the best credit so I figured this would help work on that, boy was I wrong!! I used my card up to $250 when it was stolen at 711 gas station. 3 days later I went to use it realizing it was gone. I called right away to report it stolen. It took 30 mins to get someone on the phone who barely spoke English. They said the account was closed and I would receive something in the mail and a new card. I asked what the balance currently was he said, "I can't see as of right now ma'am." I advised I was sure I only used 250 as shown online. I told him I would try to log into my account and check and see for myself. He was ok with that at first until I tried going on my account to realize "I cannot be found in the system." I called twice to be hung up on.

A ten days later I received back dated mail with the fax number manually whited out on the bottom left corner saying if they did not receive my response in 10 from the date of the letter which was back dated (meaning the day I would receive it in the mail it would be null and void). Let me back up they did send me a new card however including another back dated later then closing ALL accounts stating some lie "due to my credit history they have decided up return my PAYMENT of $25 and are canceling all accounts and they will be reporting my unpaid balance to every major credit company." I was baffled but mostly disgusted. Not only did I pay my payment on time. They denied it. They were the ones who sent me an offer with my name on it to my home address. If they knew I had bad credit why send an offer?!

I attempted to contact them another time being placed on hold for 20-30 mins. Speaking with a rude woman who again, couldn't speak English. I explained, well tried to explain, my issue when she cut me off saying "Sorry your accounts are closed," NO **! Then hung up on me. I mailed in my paperwork the day I received it, she claimed they have nothing. I am so upset because I have been with Capital One for 4 years who have treated me amazing. Both accounts are actually paid off with Capital One. This wanna be Capital One is a complete fraud to steal from people and ruin our credit.

Today was my last straw. I tried calling Credit One customer service to find out from the automated system my account is in collections and to call 888-303-3005, spoke with a man **, explaining the situation for him to tell me call back in 7-10 business days because this is new to them and no one has reviewed it. I said "I am calling to make a payment in full to get this out of collections." He said, "Call back in 7-10 business days I can't help you today." I said, "It is in collections. I would like to pay off my balance there should be nothing to look over except an amount owed!" He said call back in 7-10 business days. I said, "No I will file a lawsuit in 7-10 business days" and I hung up and I am. I am done with these horrible people ruining everyone's credit!!! I've been a paralegal for 10 years and by the complaints of over 500 I am sure I can make this a class action against these scumbags scam artists.

One day later, received notification of a late payment. Listen to system, it indicated minimum amount was now $37. Spoke with the rep. So in continuation to a sour first impression with this product. I called the customer service and I must say I did not wait that long at all. I got in touch with a customer service rep ** I guess you can say they're outsourced.

I politely asked the rep how is it possible that I have not even activated the card and I already received a bill for USD$75 and he replied that is the introductory annual fee. I told the rep that I wanted to reject this account/card, I will not activate card and if he could help me close this account. He asked me that I could activate card and paid fee and use account BUT I explained to him that I have decided to go for a different CC which doesn't have an annual fee and I would greatly appreciate it if he helps to close this account and he told me let me see what I can do.

After a brief hold he told me that given the fact that I did not activate card and will not be using the account either, he will credit back the account with the USD$75 originally charged to bring balance to ZERO and account will be CLOSED. I repeatedly asked him and make sure that I understood correctly what he just said and he said that the next bill stub will reflect the credit back and the balance to ZERO meaning that THE ACCOUNT IS NOW CLOSED. I even got a reference number.

Although a bit stressed and already praying that this is truly the case I am grateful and lucky that this was and, in fact is and, will be the FINAL case. Also I am submitting their cardholder agreement in which states what just happened above. So if you have NOT activated card and you are NOT planning on using it I believe you have a chance to rectify this situation. Because they should NOT charge you upfront without even receiving the card nor having activated it yet. Although it explains they can charge you annual fee upfront as long as you have not activated card I believe the options to cancel this account are good. Hope this Helps. :))

I finally decided to apply, I got a 400 credit line. Although I was aware of the annual fee. How is this even possible that without receiving the card, not even activate it I had received a bill for the annual fee 75 and have to pay at least the minimum payment of 25. This is demoralizing and discouraging. How does this help anybody to build or even rebuild a credit? It is horrible now I have to pay it off and yes! I want to close cancel this card. I paid everything on time, never had a problem, but keep in mind they charge for everything. The credit line increase, they'd charge for that. They have monthly fees, and as well as charging you if you pay online. When I finally decided to close the account, had no way of contacting a person you could actually talk to. Good thing I knew that if you just hitting the * key, it will finally transfer you to an actual human being.

All three of the people I talk to have a strong mideastern accent, so expect not to understand them. But I closed my account without any problem other than the fact they charge me the interest for that month. All and all, it's an okay credit company. Go with them if you only desperately need to; if not, there's other companies that won't charge you ridiculously as this one.

I have made several attempts to resolve Log-in problems to pay my account. I have made several telephone calls into Credit One and after two months I found I still could not log in and now it states I'm temporarily suspended. I call again and now they state your account has been charged off. I now brought this matter to the Office of the Comptroller of the ! recommend everyone to contact the Comptroller office to stop this Bank from conducting business. You can reach the office and file a complaint Phone 800-613-6743. They will help to get your issue resolved.

I have been wanting to pay this company off from the beginning and finally got the money to pay off the entire $1000 statement! I borrowed it just to get away from these horrible trolls. They start calling one-two weeks BEFORE your payment is due, which I consider harassment and when I used to make double payments, my balance would go higher than the previous statement and my minimum payment due would be the double payment that I had just made! These people need to be taken to task and shame on me for falling into the trap. Wish me luck on closing this **... there is NOWHERE ON THEIR WEBSITE THAT YOU CAN CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT as with others that I've just paid off. There is something very shady about these people and their foreign accents, speaking of, they can barely speak our language. Really ticked off at myself though!

Before 2008 I had very good credit (757). As with many, the only reason I went with a card with such poor terms ($75 annual fee and high APR) was because I must rebuild my poor credit since my bankruptcy since the 2008 crash. I realized I'd be paying these high fees but I had no idea how bad they can be. I have had this card for one month now. For the bank, I'm their lowest risk customer. I pay my balance in full as soon as it appears on my account (4-9 days). Thus I hit a $0 balance frequently throughout the month.

Problems... (there practices should be illegal) At the end of my first month I had had a $0 balance for over ten days already. I was surprised to see a $1.13 finance charge show up. I called them and they explained that they charge interest on a daily basis. This is crazy and doesn't happen on 'normal' cards. I was then unable to make an online 'standard' (free) payment. They said that I had already made the maximum four payment allowed on my account per month and that I could only make an 'express' payment, for the additional fee. I refused. I asked where I could find the terms of such a policy. She came back with: "it is not in the Card Agreement, it was an internal policy." I told her this was ridiculous and I wanted her to show me where I could find this "internal policy" stated. She didn't answer that request and offered to process an 'express' payment for me and wave the fee for this one time.

I made the payment for the "current balance" of $47.06 plus another $.06 for the interest, making the payment $47.12. I found where the policy terms have the daily interest verbiage.. however, I think a limitation on number of payments a customer can make (free of charge) to their own balance must (or should) be illegal!!

Note for the next person: This bank bombards you with options that come with fees. The only way to speak with customer service is to keep pressing "0" although it is not a stated option. This is the worst credit card I have ever heard of and I will certainly be closing this account as soon as I can get a "real credit card!!"

My son applied for this card that was promoted as no annual fee. But they do charge a $75 fee that is only disclosed when you receive the card. Then, by the first statement they charge interest and a late fee on the $75 fee! He owed over $100 without making a purchase! They claim it's a card to help people build credit but it's actually a scheme to rip off those who perhaps can't get a better card. They charge these hidden fees, they charge interest starting day 1 of a purchase, no 30 days to pay the balance, interest is immediate and compounded! Customer service is all in India and The Philippines and can't help with any complaints - you have to keep escalating your complaint to get to someone in Nevada who can actually help. They are taking advantage of people who may have little or not good credit! Stay away from this one!!

I do not recommend this company to anyone. I have had nothing but problems with them. The most recent issue, I paid the extra $10 fee to have an express payment made, so funds would be available sooner. Come to find out that they cancelled my card, without notifying me, and said they will send out a new card, and I should have it in 10 to 12 days. They would not refund the $10 express payment fee. I am not behind on payments, and have an excellent payment history with them. So, now I'm stuck unable to access my money for the next 12 days. I also asked to speak with a supervisor twice during my call, and the customer service rep REFUSED to let me speak to one. UNACCEPTABLE. I will be closing my account with this company, and highly recommend that you do not get a card through them.

Over 7 years ago I received an offer from CreditOne Bank and I accepted it. For over 6 years I paid my bill on time and every time it was way more than the minimum payment. I was so good that they kept praising me and praising how I kept up my finances to the point that kept increasing my CL from 300 to 1425. One time, AS ALWAYS, I paid my bill ON TIME but on my next statement I realized that they charged me a late fee (I think it was $35.) I called and the lady who answered from India (as they always do. They have no one in the US) told me that even though I paid on the day it was due, my payment was 50 MINUTES late.

I immediately asked her to close my account. She didn't care but started to read me a disclaimer. I interrupted her and asked her just to close my account. Since then they sent me numeral letter and numeral emails asking me to re-open my account. I called them several times and asked them to stop ask me to re-open my account because it will not happen. I have already paid the account in full and I owe them NOTHING.

Besides loan sharks, never have I seen a credit card company charge interest from the first day of purchase. You cannot avoid a monthly interest payment with Credit One (who from this point forward, will be aka ScamOne). In fact they charge interest on the basis of an Average Daily Balance. So if you go off on a shopping spree and spend that initial limit of $300, better pay right away, because if you pay on the due date, you already owe them $306. Understand my own habits: I always pay in full my CC balance, and usually pay a week prior to the due date.

Not to mention the immediate $75 annual fee (ANNUAL FEE 02/15 THROUGH 01/16, that's directly copied and pasted from their statement, there's not even 12 months there), plus some sort of $19 fee (AUTHORIZED USER FEE LAS VEGAS NV D) they added on as soon as I got the card. Before the first payment of these fees, they contacted me by phone repeatedly about before a statement even arrived, or the actual due date. They offered to take my payment by phone for an additional $9.95. "No thanks," I told her, I will wait for my statement, and pay ScamOne directly using my bank. She said they'd waive the fee, so I paid over the phone after all. The $9.95 fee shows up on my statement, also with a credit for the same amount. I wonder if that raised my Average Daily Balance for interest purposes.

On the PLUS side, here's a strange thing: they do reward, based on your spending. They call these rewards (CREDIT ONE REWARD CREDIT LAS VEGAS CREDIT) one month for .89 and another for 6 cents. The third month, I didn't even get a penny even though I did pay 93 interest. Into my fourth month they have raised my credit limit to $500. Think they will see me going to $300 again? Forget it!! So far in 3 months using ScamOne I have purchased things (no fees or int) for a total of $428.12. I have been charged $8.51 in interest, $94.00 in fees, and a pair of rewards for 95 cents. So beware of this predatory bank. I'll be canceling at the 9 month point (before the next annual rip-off) and see how much trouble it is to close. From what I've read, it looks like hell.
