I had another credit card with another provider, $300 limit. I was using it and paying the minimum +$25 to establish a good credit history. When this application arrived, I figured why not, I'll use both sparingly and have some diversity in payments. When the card arrived, it was followed a couple of days later with a billing statement for the initial card fee. I knew this going in, but the bill showing up when you may not have even received your card yet was a bit absurd.
Fast forward to the first billing cycle of using the card. I log into the website and try to add my checking account for online payments. It rejected the ABA Routing number saying it needs one starting in a 0, 2, 3 or 6. I found it odd since mine starts with a zero and I entered it that way. I tried two more times to the same result, then gave up thinking it might be an issue with being on a mobile device. Turns out it wasn't since I got the same result from a desktop.
Meanwhile I can't get in contact with them and a paper bill shows up - with a late fee already on it. How are you going to send a paper bill that obviously was created and mailed AFTER the due date had passed since the fee was placed on it? I'm planning to continue to try to get in touch with them, pay off the card and cancel. I'll be reporting to the BBB as well. I will NOT be paying the late fee. If I can't, then I'll file a dispute with the credit bureau and let mediation handle it.

They are not helpful at all and nobody I have ever talked with could speak a lick of English. This is a horrible company. And after reading the others' reviews? I do *not* recommend doing business with this company. Awful customer service. And be aware that if you're ten minutes late putting your payment in, the phone calls will start. They start at 7:30 in the morning and don't stop until 9:00 at night, 7 days a week. Don't do it, you will regret it.

I've seen several negative reviews regarding Credit One card, but applied anyway in hopes of approving my credit. I was approved for $500.00 and was very surprised, as my credit was pretty bad (602). And was ready to pay a $99 membership fee, but as of yet I have not charged and I've had the card for a little over a month. My first bill was $30 on $117 balance, but after setting up my online account, which was very easy, I made a payment of $50. I checked my account this morning and discovered that they raised my credit limit to $700. As someone who really took his credit for granted and put myself in this mess, with my low score am very thankful to Credit One for giving me an opportunity to get back on track.
For those people who are dissatisfied with the company, just remember you applied for the card because of your bad credit situation and sometimes we pay for our mistakes - high interest, high fees. Like all credit card companies if you make your payments on time and they are happy and you remain in good standards.

Payment are never receive before due date if mail. If payment is mail on the 3rd and the due date is the 10th they won't receive it until after the 10th which causes a late fee of $35. The United States mail is not that slow. I have also mail two payment for different account in the same envelope. One get credited and the other one is lost. How is that possible? Which causes more late fees? No choice but to pay $10 extra.

So I applied for a credit card through Credit One Bank. I hardly used my card and before the due date of the 6th I get a phone call one week ahead pressuring me to pay. Then online they take 4 business days to withdraw the money out of your account to pay or pay a 9.95 express payment. Sometimes it takes longer than 4 business days to post and it seems like they intentionally prolong the posted payment past your due date to charge you a late fee. I finally made a full payment of $300 something dollars so I can use it on vacation. Once it posted I couldn't use it because they cancelled it and I couldn't even use my card and they got a full payment and once again it posted past the 6th and was charged another late fee.
So with a closed account I couldn't log in to make a payment but was still charged late fees. They had cancelled my account because of two returned payments because they took so long to withdraw from my account without any notification saying it was in their disclosures. If I had known, I would have made just a minimal monthly payment on a closed account that I can not use. Then paying the closed late fee of $48, I couldn't log in to make a payment so I called. I ensure with the customer service representative if there was any processing fee and she told me "no", not for the state of Colorado. I transferred some money into my other checking account to make sure I had exactly that amount to pay off the account but it didn't post yet.
When I called a week later to pay off the $48 they now told me I had to pay $90 dollars because of another late fee plus a $9.95 processing fee. I was so angry that they will charge me another late fee for a closed account and a processing fee when the week before the agent told me the state of Colorado doesn't require a processing fee. Because I'm rebuilding my credit I had to pay them so I called back later on that day with a new agent and she waived the processing fee when I questioned her about some states having processing fee and others don't. So she said I didn't have to pay a processing fee. I wanted to pay it full so I tried with a credit card and they told me they don't accept credit cards so I told her I would have to make a split payment with two different checking accounts to make the full payment and she said ok.
So I paid $45 with one and then the rest with the other. Unfortunately the second payment got declined because THEY can't accept two payments within a day. So she asked me to call back the next day to pay off the rest. So the next day I called to make the rest of the payment they told me I had to pay a processing fee. When I questioned him about state specific processing fee, he told me they did me a favor by waiving these fees and that it's not the state you live in but the state they do business out of so I had to pay regardless.
I told him it wasn't my fault if I tried to pay it the day before when there was no processing fee in full and they couldn't accept two payments in a day. So he told me to mail a payment but I don't have checks and their website doesn't allow me to go pay. Overall, this company has been a hassle to deal with and I feel that they have pulled every resource to charge me with any fees they can think of and any excuses. I've been told so many different disclosures they had that as a customer I'm so confused. I would never ever get a card with Credit One. They have no customer service skills and very hard to deal with. They also treat their customer like crap.

I've had my Credit One visa card for a year now. I've always paid it on time every month. I also pay more than the minimum due. They increased my credit limit over the year a couple of times. My complaint is that the interest on this card is really high and once they increased my credit limit that interest went way up so I'd pay my bill on time and by the time it came due again it was already over the credit limit. That's when they began to call and harassed me to pay it before the due date. Their customer service is awful as well!!! You can barely understand what they're saying. Their accents are so bad it doesn't sound like English. And forget about asking to speak to the manager - his is just as Bad! I plan to pay off this balance and rip up this card! Please consumers beware of this terrible company with horrible customer service!

Not sure what others are doing, but I applied and received my card quickly. The free payment option on the website says right there it takes "roughly 4 days" to show in your account so if you're getting late fees choose the expedited option or submit your payment soon - this is not their fault. No payment problems at all. No late fees as I pay early enough "like it says" to do. Overall a great experiences.

Those giving this bank a 5 star rating are either employees or somehow related to the bank! One said, "They even raised my limit after 3 months!" Really? But they charged you a fee! It is all about FEES. A $250 increase costs you $20 or so. Annual fee is $99 dollars. If you're new, just wait and they'll charge you. Monthly service fee is also charged. I am closing this account after my last payment as these people are WORSE than The Merchant of Venice. Many Credit Card companies like Capital One will give you credit and reward you for free if your payments are always on time. Trust me, this is a ripoff bank and don't become a victim.

First of all, this company misleads consumers into believing they are receiving a CAPITAL ONE card since the logo and font are identical. I didn't even realize it was a CREDIT ONE bank card until I received it in the mail. Secondly, the notice of the bogus $75 annual fee is intentionally in microscopic writing and applied immediately before anyone even gets the chance to activate it or use it.
I accepted the pre-approved offer on April 23, 2015, received my card a week later, activated it on May 19, 2015, and then have NEVER used it! I then received a phone call on June 8, 2015 from someone in Florida informing me that I had an overdue balance of $101.49, which I found to be shocking, considering I had never used it. I was then informed that there was a $75 annual fee applied to the account and that a $25 late fee was also applied because the annual fee payment was overdue.
I was livid and when I asked about my statement informing me of the payment, I was told it was sent to me on June 4th, JUST 4 DAYS PRIOR. When was there ANY opportunity to pay this balance to avoid the ridiculous late fee? The customer service department is incomprehensible, rude, and offensive. I attempted to just pay the $101.49 AND the ridiculous $9.95 fee to process the payment over the phone (with the intentions of immediately canceling the card). The CSR told me "You have insufficient funds."
While he verified the account number I gave him, I pulled up my bank account on my computer and was staring at PLENTY of money to cover the charge, so I told him to run the card again. He did, and then proceeded to tell me, "You don't have any money." He insisted that I give him another bank card number and that if the balance was not taken care of "today", there would be another late fee applied. I became extremely suspicious, hung up, and immediately called my bank.
Unbeknownst to me, my bank froze my debit card due to suspected fraudulent use that morning (someone in China had successfully charged my account for $157.97 and on the second attempt to charge my account with $257, my bank put a freeze on the card, thank goodness). Regardless, the CSR should have used less offensive language rather than "you don't have any money"!!!
After visiting my bank, canceling my debit card, and activating a new one, I called Credit One customer service back to pay the balance. After voicing my complaints to this CSR, he was able to lower the balance to $50, which I was happy with, however, after the transaction was complete, he THEN tells me that because he did me this "FAVOR" of lowering the balance, I no longer had the option to cancel the card for a full year!!!
I am writing a complaint to the BBB, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission and Capital One and I encourage everyone else to do the same, otherwise CREDIT ONE BANK will continue to mislead American consumers into believing they are getting a credit card from a reputable company like Capital One!!!

I have a CREDIT ONE BANK CARD, and it is a PAIN. I have a balance of $25.00 on my account and when I have tried to use it it was denied several times. When I called their response was "There is no problem with your card - must be the company you are using it at." I told the gentleman (who spoke horrible English) "I tried to use it 3 different locations including cash withdraw so they can't be all wrong." His response was he didn't know why the card didn't work so just keep trying it. Really?? That was the best they could do.
Two weeks later tried it again and still got denied, called them back again (I think I got the same guy - I think they are all in India) and he said "You're past due on your account." I said "Really? How much?" He said "$8.00" - yes eight dollars. Really! He told me I could pay it with him for a fee of $9.00. Told him that wasn't going to happen so went on line to pay balance off and could not get on line. Tried several times - went as far as changing my password and then still couldn't get it to work. Called the help number again and I got the same guy who knows absolutely nothing. This is the biggest pain in the butt there is. First of all get people who know what they are talking about, English would be nice, and just over all better customer service.

I received this application in the mail and thought it was a legit company. I filled it out and sent it back. They returned it with a 225 limit instead of 300.00 like they said. I called them and they said it was a 75.00 annual fee. I never saw that on the application. Since I hadn't used the entire amount they charged me 25.00 for being over limit and when I called to ask, they told me to pay the entire balance. I refused, and since then they have been charging me late fees and over credit limit fees to where they are way over the limit now. And every time I call I end up speaking with some unprofessional person who can't even pronounce my name or barely speak English.
But wait, it gets better... They won't take payments over the phone and if you try and use the internet site, there is no place to pay on any link on the site! I now have them calling me day and night from all over the country with all different dialects that can't pronounce my name, so I know it's them and hang up. They call me at least 5 times a day. I have all the states blocked on my phone so they will leave me alone. I am so tired and sick of trying to reason or even pay these people when they are so incompetent.

I've had my Visa Credit1 card for a few years. It seems like a great offer for someone with not-great credit, but it's actually a horrible deal. The interest rate (mid 20's) and annual fee ($100/yr.) are ridiculous and you get no benefits with those outside of a 1% back on gas purchases. They will constantly offer to increase your limit for a nice $15 charge and express payments are also available for a fee. Only 4 payments can be submitted within a month on the entire account (even with 2 cards, you can only make 4 payments). Their customer service is crap. Not to run on a tangent about oversea call centers because I've had great experiences with some, but Credit1 uses a lower quality one. That's a general review of the company and their services.
My Story: Early April 2015, Credit1 had a breach and reissued my Visa card. Unfortunately, during this time, I was also moving. It wasn't until after settling down that I came across a letter stating my card was being reissued and that my current card was cancelled a few days before. Also, unfortunately, the day I changed my address was the day they should've sent out the card. I call and tell them the situation with the address changing and the new card. Seems like a simple fix and they said my Visa card would be mailed to my new address. Wait a few weeks (late-May), no card. Call them again, repeat the steps, they said my Visa card would be mailed, blah blah.
Week and half later (early June), get my card... but it's the Mastercard one, not the Visa, even after telling them I had two accounts and that the Visa card had the issue. Call them again, tell them I was hoping to use the card on my vacation. They offer to resend it, but it won't get here until after I leave. Ask about overnight/express shipping, they say it's a $19 charge for a 4-5 delivery which would still be too late. $19 dollars for a 4-5 day delivery? You can overnight it with UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc. for less than that and regular delivery is 7-10 days, so $19 knocks off 2 days? Are they using Pony Express? What year is it? I tell them regular deliver is fine. I probably won't even activate it and just cancel it. For that annual fee and interest rate, I would hope faster better service was available.

I attempted to pay my bill online however the system would not let me. I called to make a payment via my checking account. I spoke with a customer service representative and everything seemed fine. Three days before my bill was due I received a notice that my account could not be located and my bill was no longer paid! The notice also stated that they could close my account! What a scam. I verified the account info several times. The system would not allow me to pay my bill online (extra $10 charge.) I verified the payment with customer service. Now threats of closing my account due to their error and not notifying me right away. I will probably close the account next month.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I got charged a late fee 3 days BEFORE my payment was even due. So I call customer service to get it removed, and I swear to god it took almost 20 minutes to get past the automated part to speak to an actual human being. Then I finally spoke with someone, which I could not understand AT ALL. They outsource their service to India or something. Anyway, the guy waives the stupid fee, or so he says. It still showed up on my account 2 weeks after I called. I called today to see what's up with the fee, and the Indian lady I spoke with was yelling at me. I asked if I was going to be charged interest on the fee then she lost it. So I hung up on her. I'm tired of getting awful awful awful customer service. And it would help if I could understand the person. In the process of transferring my balance to another credit card and canceling this account. Never again.

I almost didn't sign up for this card. Thanks to all the negative reviews I found when searching online. But, after comparing the reviews to the information that Credit One sent to me in my pre-approval packet, I realized that every charge and item that other reviewers were complaining about were CLEARLY outlined in the terms before even signing up for the card.
Yes, I messed up my credit in a big way in my younger years. This really hurts since I am not able to get a credit card with a decent rate, or buy a house, or enjoy any of the luxuries those with good credit have. But, you reap what you sow. So, until I can prove myself credit worthy, I will have to work with programs such as these. I can't speak for how the customer service department is, because I PAY MY BILL ON TIME! In doing this, I have received no late fees and no collections calls. Credit One's online account site is easy to use, payments post as promised (if not a day or two earlier), and they even show my current credit score which is updated monthly.
If you have poor credit and are looking for a good way to start rebuilding, I highly recommend this card. Is it expensive? Yes! Is the interest rate high? YES! But, all of the fees, rates, and terms are clearly listed in the literature received before or during the application process. This is what it takes for folks like us to get a chance to turn our credit around. I'm thankful to Credit One for allowing me the opportunity to start rebuilding.

I had received a credit card offer from Credit One Bank. And with problems in the past with credit issues I actually got excited to get an offer to rebuild my credit. At the time I was in the middle of moving and I gave them my new address. I waited two weeks and didn't receive my credit card. I had called them and they told me my information was invalid because of my address. They wanted me to send them confirmation of a bill in my name at the new address. After waiting another 10 days I had called back and they said they sent the card and to call back the next day if I didn't get it. So I did and yet again the address was still incorrect because their customer service reps are from out of country and can hardly speak English nor comprehend it. When I received the next statement, I was expecting the $10 I owed to be on it, which it was, with another late fee.
I tried to pay online and dispute the late fee. When I logged in to my account, they said my info was not correct, so the next day I called to pay and they would not accept my payment over the phone. I ask them to close out my account because I could pay online. They said they would and they would mail me my statement. Three weeks have past and no statement.
Today I noticed a number that called 6 times. I called back and it was them. I wanted to nip this in the bud. Even though I had my confirmation number, they still tried to charge me yet another late fee. I wasn't having that. So after a lot of **, I finally was able to pay off the original $10 I owed them. Because they approved my credit app, I was on my way to building a better and positive credit rating. Even with the small monthly charge after the first year, I kept this card. Credit is not easy to rebuild after you ruin it and this card is way better than the other ones that prey on your poor score and charge the card immediately hundreds of dollars upon opening it. The letter says no over limit fees and no penalty APR. However, you start paying interest as soon as a purchase posts which means even if you pay it before the due date you have accrued interest. There are set-up/maintenance fees that are billed monthly and late payment fees. You pay membership in year 1 up front and monthly in following years.
Having recently come off bankruptcy I was tempted in an effort to rebuild my credit. Having held off long enough though I received a better offer from Capital One, lower APR, no interest until after the payment due date, and no annual fee. My advice, if you are in a situation similar to mine, is hold off until the right offer comes through. I will be rebuilding with a reputable company rather than getting ripped off at every turn by a company who will likely give me the same low $300 credit limit. Don't fall back into the hole from which you just dug out.

I have had this card for a little over a year or maybe about a year. To start they didn't send me my bill until it was overdue. When I finally did get my bill I saw so many interest this, interest that and of course the late fee that became my fault. Needless to say I was annoyed. I only owed $50.88 with a credit of $400 so there was money in the acct, but they decided to freeze my account until the posted date check cleared which was for this Thursday. I was trying to make purchases and couldn't and every time I would call each CS idiot would tell me "Mrs. ** you will be able to use your acct by midnight." LIARS... Midnight would come and go and nothing until I got fed up with them with the lack of communication and PROPER ENGLISH SPEAKING C.S REPS. that I called them one last time and just closed my acct with them for numerous reasons.
You could never get a straight, CLEAR answer from anyone. What threw me off the edge and I actually do think now that they are sitting somewhere overseas in shorts and no shirt, was that they told me that they couldn't fax me or email me stating that I wanted to close my acct with them. She said the only form they available was through the mail. SERIOUSLY NO FAX, NO EMAIL, NO PROPER ENGLISH SPEAKING REPS, NO CLEAR ANSWERS EVER! I'm mad at myself for keeping these fools around as long as I did.

I called them, and they promised to close the lost card account, and send me a new one. Got that card and activated it. Went to use, Declined! I called them. They said I didn't make my $75 payment. I stated I didn't get the bill and just got the card, as the first card was lost!? The Chinese rep babbled on like a robot. Repeating over and over they didn't get my payment while I tried to explain. This was the LAST STRAW, I CLOSED THE ACCOUNT!
Got The bill today, 7 days after CLOSING the account. The bill included late payment again and more interest. "Hello, I CLOSED the account! I called you twice since to make sure the account is closed, as I know your game." They send you the bill after payment was due with the late payment and interest. I have to call to try and close AGAIN for the 3RD TIME this past week. I told them I will call every day until they send me my closed account, zero balance statement. I never even used the card. The card was declined when I did try twice due to no payment received??? BEWARE!!! I can't even close this account. All Chinese reps. Just received a new Credit One Bank credit card with a $1400 credit limit. I received the first statement and paid it in full. I booked several airline flights during my second billing cycle. I paid a little over $1,000.00 on the account via the Credit One website. I checked my bank account a couple of days later and the funds had been withdrawn. Exactly one week later, this company send me a letter saying my payment wasn't verified, my account was frozen and if I didn't have my bank send them a letter in several weeks they would close the account and report it to the credit agencies. When I called them, they said this was for my security. What??!!! I couldn't get anyone that spoke clear English. They kept apologizing and telling me it was for my own security.
Bottom line is this: I charged things to my credit card and I paid my bill nearly in full. Because I paid my bill nearly in full, they froze my account, notified me a WEEK later by mail, insisted on a letter from my bank over the Memorial Day weekend, rejected a charge and embarrassed me in front of a vendor and threatened to close my account!!! Let me repeat... this was all done for my own security... and because I paid my bill! Who are these people. Are they insane!!

The wife and I filed bankruptcy and applied for this card within a month of discharge. Was instantly approved for a $500 credit line. All the fees are spelled out in their terms. Yes they charge interest from day one, and there is a $45 annual fee, but you can get your annual fee reduced to $25. I called and told them I didn't want to open the account when I received the card and they lowered it immediately. Yes the person was from a foreign country and a little difficult to understand but what customer service rep isn't these days. I was not on hold forever, they were not rude to me everything was just fine.
I made three separate purchases and pay them all off almost instantly. Within two weeks I got a free credit line increase to $700. I didn't even ask, they just did it. A lot of these negative reviews are by people who paid their bill late then got hit with fees or did not read the terms before they accepted the card and wondered why they got hit with an annual fee. Read the terms. Pay your bill on time and this is just as good as any other card with the exception that they charge interest from day one, but picky bankrupt people can't be choosers

It took approximately six months before this company started reporting. I felt like that was a long time, but I guess that's the cost of having poor credit.
Original Review: May 2, 2015
I was attempting to purchase a home, but was unable to qualify for a loan due to a poor credit score. I contacted a consultant trying to get options for raising my credit score. He suggested I apply for a secured or unsecured credit card. He said to only utilize about 30% of the credit limit and pay it off each month, or pay payments, but to pay them on time each month. He said this would help build up my credit score. I chose this card, despite the monthly/yearly service fee (which I pay simply for the privilege of owning their card), plus their ridiculous apr. The ONLY reason I got this card was because it was the only company that would issue me a credit card based on my credit score. I read through all the paperwork (pages and pages of fine print) and thought it was a small price to pay for rebuilding my credit.
I have had this card for 3 months now. Every time I log in to check out the activity on my account to be sure I'm being charged what I expected, I also click on the link at the top of the column located on the right upper side of the page. It clearly says, "Credit Score Active." Below that it says "Credit Score N/A." Below that is a link to click on, which takes me to another page where I can "view complete summary" of that report. However, when I click the link, it goes to a new page which I'm assuming is where my credit score information is supposed to be. There is a graph chart and below it is a "Summary of Your Credit Report." Every single category has a zero in it.
This is very disheartening to me because I only got this credit card on the advice of a credit counselor. The company charges an atrocious amount of fees for the privilege of owning their great card, which I have paid, on time, for the past 3 months, just to find out they aren't even reporting to the credit agencies!!!! I Googled a few things, trying to find out why this is the case, and every time I do, I come across forums of people who are completely dissatisfied with this company. The next time, I will definitely do my homework before hand. Lesson learned. ):

I used my card up to $250 when it was stolen at 711 gas station. 3 days later I went to use it realizing it was gone. I called right away to report it stolen. It took 30 mins to get someone on the phone who barely spoke English. They said the account was closed and I would receive something in the mail and a new card. I asked what the balance currently was he said, "I can't see as of right now ma'am." I advised I was sure I only used 250 as shown online. I told him I would try to log into my account and check and see for myself. He was ok with that at first until I tried going on my account to realize "I cannot be found in the system." I now have a credit score in the low 700's and these people said (in broken English) that they refuse to lower my rate. No problem... first they rob me with the rate. Then they rob me because I want to pay the balance with a 0-interest CC, and they charge me $9.95. Calling to complain does no good. They claim to not have supervisors, they are either in the Philippines or India. So what I'm doing as soon as I finish this posting is writing to the Attorney General of Washington State, The BBB, and some of Washington State's Law Makers. I'll be CCing my attorney also. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CREDIT CARD TO MY WORST ENEMY!!! BEWARE.

Called in regarding payment and why the payment amount changed. I always call and verify what the minimum payment is before I make a payment to make sure that I don't pay less than the minimum amount. Called in, it stated $32 so I paid $32. One day later, received notification of a late payment. Listen to system, it indicated minimum amount was now $37. Spoke with the rep. Rep stated don't worry about it, he would transfer the $5 to next month's payment and that no payment was needed at the time and my next payment was due May. I told the rep 3 times I can just pay the $5, that way everything was good and the rep said no need, he took care of it. I again told he I'll just pay he said, "no need ma'am" 'cause he took care of it.
Called back today to verify the outcome was in fact resolved and to my surprise I was lied to. Spoke with rep again. Rep could not answer my question kept telling me my account balance and they refused to transfer me to a supervisor. Spoke with supervisors and all he could say was, "sorry you were misinformed but it is what it is". Now I'm charged a $25 late fee after the stupid rep told me not to make a payment for the $5. This company deserves no stars. And their so called customer service sucks, no, it's non-existent. Paying this card off and closing my account. I can't stand companies that lie and rip you off.

They told me to fax a letter to 702-967-1565 and to ask them to lift my account off of restriction with an explanation on 2/19/15 and today is 4/29/15 and I still can't access my account. I've read several negative reviews about Credit One bank credit card, but applied anyway. Several of the complaints was about the upfront cost of $75.00 for the annual membership cost. I received my card about two ago and proceeded to activate and went online and reviewed my account. At that time I went online and setup my account and noticed that I was not billed the yearly membership fee, just a fee of $35.00 that is due by 5/22/15. I'm not saying that this is the best card, but they took a chance on me when no one else would and for that am grateful. Those folks that made those negative reviews about the card, should realize that Credit One didn't force you to apply.

Their website is just trash. It's not very helpful because they just give you a lot of FAQ and most of the time, they don't even make sense. I wanted to request a PIN so I can get cash from an ATM. Went to their website to find out how I can get one. I went into the FAQ section and there was a question there saying "Can I request a PIN online?" it just says, Yes, You can, blah blah blah... no links to the page where I can request the PIN and I tried for a while to find this PIN requesting page, I gave up, couldn't find it (because there is none).
I tried calling customer service... of course like all big companies, there was an automated message prompt. Gave me a bunch of options EXCEPT to speak with a customer representative, and also, you can't request a customer representative by speaking, you can only press numbers. My question is, Do they have people working? O_O It's kind of frustrating because I just wanted to talk to a real person but couldn't get a hold of one. I been with Credit One Bank for 2 years now, I never had to call them so this is the first time and it was really annoying. Anyone who is looking to open up a new credit card account, take my word on this... don't choose this Bank.

So in continuation to a sour first impression with this product. I called the customer service and I must say I did not wait that long at all. I got in touch with a customer service rep ** I guess you can say they're outsourced.
I politely asked the rep how is it possible that I have not even activated the card and I already received a bill for USD$75 and he replied that is the introductory annual fee. I told the rep that I wanted to reject this account/card, I will not activate card and if he could help me close this account. He asked me that I could activate card and paid fee and use account BUT I explained to him that I have decided to go for a different CC which doesn't have an annual fee and I would greatly appreciate it if he helps to close this account and he told me let me see what I can do.
After a brief hold he told me that given the fact that I did not activate card and will not be using the account either, he will credit back the account with the USD$75 originally charged to bring balance to ZERO and account will be CLOSED. I repeatedly asked him and make sure that I understood correctly what he just said and he said that the next bill stub will reflect the credit back and the balance to ZERO meaning that THE ACCOUNT IS NOW CLOSED. I even got a reference number.
Although a bit stressed and already praying that this is truly the case I am grateful and lucky that this was and, in fact is and, will be the FINAL case. Also I am submitting their cardholder agreement in which states what just happened above. So if you have NOT activated card and you are NOT planning on using it I believe you have a chance to rectify this situation. Because they should NOT charge you upfront without even receiving the card nor having activated it yet. Although it explains they can charge you annual fee upfront as long as you have not activated card I believe the options to cancel this account are good. Hope this Helps. :))

I cannot believe I fell for this. Like many small people I wanted to rebuild my credit and I came across with this offer of getting a credit card. I finally decided to apply, I got a 400 credit line. Although I was aware of the annual fee. How is this even possible that without receiving the card, not even activate it I had received a bill for the annual fee 75 and have to pay at least the minimum payment of 25. This is demoralizing and discouraging. How does this help anybody to build or even rebuild a credit? It is horrible now I have to pay it off and yes! I want to close cancel this card. This truly sucks and I am already expecting the worst when I call their customer service. :(((

I applied for this credit card company so I could build up my credit. Yeah, the interest rate was high, but what do you expect when you're just building from the bottom? I paid everything on time, never had a problem, but keep in mind they charge for everything. The credit line increase, they'd charge for that. They have monthly fees, and as well as charging you if you pay online. When I finally decided to close the account, had no way of contacting a person you could actually talk to. Good thing I knew that if you just hitting the * key, it will finally transfer you to an actual human being.
All three of the people I talk to have a strong mideastern accent, so expect not to understand them. But I closed my account without any problem other than the fact they charge me the interest for that month. All and all, it's an okay credit company. Go with them if you only desperately need to; if not, there's other companies that won't charge you ridiculously as this one.

I have had a Credit One Bank Credit Card for years with no problems whatsoever. However, last October they declined a charge from a merchant in the Bahamas. This merchant has been charging my card monthly for dockage for my boat. When I called I was told they were having problems with that merchant. I called the merchant and they told me they never had any problems with Credit One. I called back to Credit One and this time they said there was no reason for the decline but because of the decline I would have to have a new card issued. I said, "Fine, please send it to me."
I have had the same address since I started with them but weeks and weeks went by with no card. I called and they said the mail had been returned. This happened 4 times over the following months. I could not pay my bill online because it was locked. Finally, I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor said we could try changing my address. We did that and today I finally received mail from them but it was not my card. It was a change of address confirmation letter. It came to both my home and my P.O. Box. I am so tired of their foolishness. But, I will call them again today and we will see what happens this time.

So after 15 minutes of being on the phone with her, I realized I was being harassed by her for me using MY credit card for my own purchases. She told me that I was suppose to only use MY credit card to transfer my balance from another credit card to the Credit one card. I have never in my life heard of this. Well, the harassment only began from that day forward. I continued getting harassed on a daily basis of up to 5-6 times per day, on Saturday and sundays, holidays etc... all hours of the day and night. Mind you, I wasn't late with my payment nor was my payment even due... they have caused me stress, anxiety, nervousness, etc over nothing.
I'm now trying to pay my balance (which is now up to $166.44)... when I only used $118.14 & it hasn't even been 30 days. They have screwed me worse than I've ever been screwed... I would NEVER, EVER recommended Credit one to my worst enemy let alone a friend. So now when I try calling them to pay off my balance, the phone calls are all static & you cant hear them speak... another number wants me to pay $9.95 to make a payment, the other option is to sign up for some kind of website access to make your payments. Then I get my statement yesterday and there is an interest charge of $6.66. I called today to get that removed since I paid in full. (Now you need to know that I paid several credit cards off last month and none of them gave me a hard time removing the finance charge since I paid in full, and told me it was no problem.) BUT Credit One said, "No!" right off the start. I ask why and was told it was a finance charge (as if I did not know). I ask again and he would not budge. So I ask for a supervisor and he stated the same thing, "No!" on taking off finance charge.
So I ask to speak with someone in the United States. When I said that he immediately said he would take off the charge for me BUT only a one time deal. I still asked to speak with someone in the United States so he transferred me after 15 minutes. I got a manager, **, and I told her what happened over a small $6.66. I also ask her, "Is that true that if I was to pay off my credit card in full and I asked for the finance charge to be removed I would not get that because I only get one time deal?" Before 2008 I had very good credit (757). As with many, the only reason I went with a card with such poor terms ($75 annual fee and high APR) was because I must rebuild my poor credit since my bankruptcy since the 2008 crash. I realized I'd be paying these high fees but I had no idea how bad they can be. I have had this card for one month now. For the bank, I'm their lowest risk customer. I pay my balance in full as soon as it appears on my account (4-9 days). Thus I hit a $0 balance frequently throughout the month.
Problems... (there practices should be illegal) At the end of my first month I had had a $0 balance for over ten days already. I was surprised to see a $1.13 finance charge show up. I called them and they explained that they charge interest on a daily basis. This is crazy and doesn't happen on 'normal' cards. I was then unable to make an online 'standard' (free) payment. They said that I had already made the maximum four payment allowed on my account per month and that I could only make an 'express' payment, for the additional fee. I refused. I asked where I could find the terms of such a policy. She came back with: "it is not in the Card Agreement, it was an internal policy." I told her this was ridiculous and I wanted her to show me where I could find this "internal policy" stated. She didn't answer that request and offered to process an 'express' payment for me and wave the fee for this one time.
I made the payment for the "current balance" of $47.06 plus another $.06 for the interest, making the payment $47.12. I found where the policy terms have the daily interest verbiage.. however, I think a limitation on number of payments a customer can make (free of charge) to their own balance must (or should) be illegal!!
Note for the next person: This bank bombards you with options that come with fees. The only way to speak with customer service is to keep pressing "0" although it is not a stated option. This is the worst credit card I have ever heard of and I will certainly be closing this account as soon as I can get a "real credit card!!"

Then, by the first statement they charge interest and a late fee on the $75 fee! He owed over $100 without making a purchase! They claim it's a card to help people build credit but it's actually a scheme to rip off those who perhaps can't get a better card. They charge these hidden fees, they charge interest starting day 1 of a purchase, no 30 days to pay the balance, interest is immediate and compounded! Customer service is all in India and The Philippines and can't help with any complaints - you have to keep escalating your complaint to get to someone in Nevada who can actually help. They are taking advantage of people who may have little or not good credit! Stay away from this one!!

Besides loan sharks, never have I seen a credit card company charge interest from the first day of purchase. You cannot avoid a monthly interest payment with Credit One (who from this point forward, will be aka ScamOne). In fact they charge interest on the basis of an Average Daily Balance. So if you go off on a shopping spree and spend that initial limit of $300, better pay right away, because if you pay on the due date, you already owe them $306. Understand my own habits: I always pay in full my CC balance, and usually pay a week prior to the due date.
Not to mention the immediate $75 annual fee (ANNUAL FEE 02/15 THROUGH 01/16, that's directly copied and pasted from their statement, there's not even 12 months there), plus some sort of $19 fee (AUTHORIZED USER FEE LAS VEGAS NV D) they added on as soon as I got the card. Before the first payment of these fees, they contacted me by phone repeatedly about before a statement even arrived, or the actual due date. They offered to take my payment by phone for an additional $9.95. "No thanks," I told her, I will wait for my statement, and pay ScamOne directly using my bank. She said they'd waive the fee, so I paid over the phone after all. The $9.95 fee shows up on my statement, also with a credit for the same amount. I wonder if that raised my Average Daily Balance for interest purposes.
On the PLUS side, here's a strange thing: they do reward, based on your spending. They call these rewards (CREDIT ONE REWARD CREDIT LAS VEGAS CREDIT) one month for .89 and another for 6 cents. The third month, I didn't even get a penny even though I did pay 93 interest. Into my fourth month they have raised my credit limit to $500. Think they will see me going to $300 again? Forget it!! So far in 3 months using ScamOne I have purchased things (no fees or int) for a total of $428.12. I have been charged $8.51 in interest, $94.00 in fees, and a pair of rewards for 95 cents. So beware of this predatory bank. I'll be canceling at the 9 month point (before the next annual rip-off) and see how much trouble it is to close. From what I've read, it looks like hell.

I received a random email from Credit One stating how my credit score had changed and to login to review the new score. I logged into my credit card account to review my score and noticed an unusual high balance on my account. I reviewed the recent transaction and noticed that I did not authorize nor charge the transactions with my Credit One card. I immediately called customer service and a lady answered the phone that spoke a little English, and got frustrated when I asked her to repeat what she was saying.
I told her the charges for Publix store in Florida and some Dr. office in Ohio charges were not charged by me. She recorded my complaint after placing me on hold for 10 minutes, and came back to the phone telling me a new card will be mailed to me within 15 days or less, and to complete the affidavit and mail in back to their bank.
The investigation will take up to 90 days and they cannot credit my account. They said I need to continue to make payments, and pay the high interest rate. This is not fair to me because I've never been late paying my bill and adhere to all their rules. I will pay off this card and cancel service ASAP. This is the worst card I ever had, plus the customer service is awful. Be careful if you apply for a Credit One card. Go to Capital One, they will treat you better.

I wish I found this site before I said yes to the pre-approved offer. Their offer looks so much like Capital One that I responded too quickly. Thanks to the email I received yesterday, I quickly started looking for reviews and was I surprised! When the rep answered the phone, I was told the card had already shipped, but after I said I wanted to cancel it, I was told it hadn't shipped and they could cancel my application. We'll see what happens. The bottom line is if you all are still experiencing problems, go to your local courthouse and file a small claims case for around $25.00. You don't need a lawyer, just your proof. They will act right when they receive notification from the court and you will never have to worry about them again. Know your rights.

Third their credit line protections program stepped right up and made my payments (min) plus and assisted us when I got cancer. So I give Credit One bank a+++ rating in my book. Thanks guys and gals at Credit One. Long term customers now and forever. My thought is this, if a small bank card company helps like this shouldn't they be my big bank card company. The big card companies are still stumbling over themselves to do something and it's been 2 months Credit One took 5 days payment in. Amazing. Little company wins in my book.

They didn't even say “how are you?” or “have a nice day.” Seems to me like they make it impossible to contact them on purpose. My tip… pay way before your due date but don't use express pay. First of all this a sub prime lender. As a sub prime lender that have to be aggressive or they will go out of business. Let's face it, their good paying customers leave because they are able to get better cards. They charge interest from day one. They charge a high membership fee, that they will reduce if you threaten to cancel BEFORE YOU USE THE CARD.
It's a business model that has been around for a long time and they serve a service for people that have problems with credit for whatever reason. My advice if you get one of these cards is to use this card for 1 tank of gas each month, they will credit your 1% that will cover the interest and then pay it off in full the same day you get your statement. This will help your credit and before long you can get a better credit card and cancel this one.

Upon receiving your first statement, an ambiguous fee of $75.00 is charged to your card; even though you haven't used the card. Call them to remove it from your statement and they'll reduce the fee.
Credit One Bank makes it difficult for you to pay your bill even when you're paying, on time. I've NEVER paid my bill late. It takes 5-7 DAYS, if you pay your bill on their site but FOR A FEE, they'll process it sooner but doesn't guarantee that the payment won't be reported as late; of which you'll pay A LATE FEE. Beware of the revolving balance interest. They change at will with this bank and interest accrues at the time of the purchase.

Firstly, I am a great customer for over 2 years now. I pay my accounts online and never carry over a balance more than 20%. Early March on 3/2/15 my account had some fraudulent activity on it and I called Credit One Bank regarding these unknown purchases. When I called about it they told me that I would have to wait 10 business days to get a replacement card and I thought that was absurd. I explained to them as a valued customer I should not have to wait 10 business days for my card and it should be sent out next day at no charge to me. They declined.
After 56 mins of battling with them getting nowhere I informed the manager that I had to get off the phone as I was driving and lost and that I needed to call my husband. He insisted on still talking to him. I told him that I was driving and that he would have to call me back. 2 days later I received a call from the manager telling me that I had to pay for the RushCard and I declined. He disconnected the call and without my knowledge turned my card off.
On 3/11/15 I called asking what was happening with my account and the rep told me my card was cut off and a new card was issued and sent out. It would take 10 business days. At this point I am pissed off. I asked for a supervisor and I was on hold for 40 mins the rep hung up!! I decided to just wait on my card as it was going to come within the time before my payment is due. Please note I cannot make any payments nor do I have any access to my account because my card was cancelled by Credit One Bank.
Today 3/23/15 I called spoke to a rep. When I asked for a manager he began raising his voice because I declined his assistance. His supervisor ** came on the phone and told me that is was ok for the previous rep to yell at me. I then asked her for her supervisor **. ** told me that NO card was sent to me. Note today is 3/23/15. I then asked, "Why not?" She said she didn't know. I then asked her, "Why haven't I received the fraudulent affidavit yet?" She said she is not sure but she will send them out today. I was pissed!!!! ** said she was going to send my card 3-5 business day at no charge but wanted me to pay for the $9.99 for the express payment and I said no!
I told ** that they dropped the ball and that I was not going to pay for any express payment when my account was closed by them without my knowledge! ** got the fee waived and processed my payment. Earlier in the conversation ** offered for me to speak to the corporate office. Initially I declined and I then decided to speak to someone. I was transferred to **. ** kept telling me that I didn't begin the investigation process when I did. ** excuse was that I was driving. I told her that I did begin the process and that the only reason the only issue in the call was that I was not going to pay for a RushCard for $25! That was the issue. It was unfair to me the customer having to pay for my card due to fraud.
** kept saying repeatedly that I was driving and I kept saying to her, "There is no excuse for my info not being logged for fraud," thus not having any affidavit sent to me was not fault of mine because I did call in and report the fraud on 3/2/15. ** kept saying I was driving I then told her to listen to the call on 3/2/15! These people are horrible. I will be canceling my service whenever they start the investigation process. It's already been over 3 weeks and these people still didn't send me the affidavit. Their excuse is it's because I was driving! Horrible people.

I see complaints about not seeing your statement online. I view it every month online, you go to your account and look under monthly statements. As for fees and payments on time, it clearly states if you pay online through your bank that it can take up to 7 days to reflect, so obviously pay it BEFORE the due date. When you don't have perfect credit, you have no choice but to have to deal with fees, lots of them along with higher interest rates because we are considered a "High Risk" and if you give it time and pay on time and don't go over your limit, then your credit score goes up as does your credit limits.
I have not had a single problem with Credit One. They gave me a card when no one else would and gave me the chance to prove I am credit worthy again. Paid on time monthly and my line increased. I get rewards for gas and other purchases. You also CAN use this card anywhere. So for the one who is having an issue with Amazon, check Amazon. So I called customer service for Credit One to make a payment but was not able to without being charged 10$ for an instant payment and an early payment charge. So I opted to pay online but wasn't able to due to not having chosen the paperless route. So I waited to receive my billing statement but it never came. 2 days late at this time I start receiving over 20 harassing phone calls starting at 6 am a day while I'm at work (I work 16 hour late night shifts).
My only day off, I call them and let them know I want to pay in full but would like to know why I haven't receive a billing statement, they let me know they sent it on the 15th and that my bill was due on the 11th. I constantly ask why it was sent 4 days after the fact and they had no answer for me. They had added multiple charges on my account exceeding 100$. It took me over 3 hours on the phone and being HUNG UP ON multiple times to remove the extra charges and to pay in full, and cancel my account. Do yourself a favor and don't get a credit line through Credit One Bank!

Wish I would have done a little more homework before signing up for this card. A monthly annual fee (whatever that is), then late fees for not paying that fee (which I didn't even know were there), then a fee to pay those fees by phone. Never used this card. Had to field collection calls from these idiots while at work - for a card I DON'T USE. Had to deal with perhaps the worst customer service department I've ever encountered that couldn't help in any way - all they could do is read from a long-winded, irrelevant script (including a long-winded script about how good their card was for me - are you serious? ) Aaargh!!!

Full Social Security Number is required to for online access to your account or to access your account of the phone. On the phone, if you ask a question they don't want to answer, they hang up. For 3 months of my bill going up instead of down with payments of more than the minimum, I called as asked why and if I was being charged an annual fee. The answer was yes, I was being charged over $8 a month. That adds up to at least $100 a year. I was never notified of this change to my agreement. After being harassed for a payment for 5 minutes over the phone (which was due to late charges which should not have happened as my bank sends the payment and they didn't process it) the charges were cleared and I made an additional payment to be one ahead. At that moment, everyone working phones applauded and congratulated him on his accomplishment. It doesn't get more unprofessional than this.
I have closed my account and will be paid off by the end of the month barring any more charges they can dream up. Save yourself a lot of headaches and stay away from them.

We spent 11 months fighting with them and finally transferred our balance to another company who gladly applied the act to our account. Also, because of their outsourcing to India, I could rarely understand them, and they couldn't understand me. When I asked to speak to someone in the States they hung up on me. I was hung up on four times. I will be reporting to BBB. Horrible customer service. Horrible company. It doesn't matter how badly you want to improve your credit - stay away from these people. I received a letter from CreditOne Bank, stating that I was "Pre-approved" for a credit card. It stated there was "Instant Online Credit Decision." Instead, I was informed that decision was pending, and I would have to call. That is where the fun began. I ended up speaking with a very young sounding customer support Rep that gave conflicting answers to every question. She first told me it would take 3 weeks to review the application - then immediately said "call next week to check." I asked what happened to "immediate response online." She just robotically repeated that I must call back. Never answered my question.
So, fine, I called the next week, and was informed that I needed to send a copy of my Social Security card - to verify my number. I asked why this was needed, as none of my current credit card companies, or car loan holders had ever asked for this. It was here that I just started to feel something was off, and potentially shady. When I pushed the issue she stated that Visa had requested it. I already have a Visa card, and they never asked for this. No matter what I asked, she responded with non-answers that where clearly from a script.
I asked to speak to a Supervisor. After several minutes on hold, I was informed the Supervisor was busy on a call, but would take a call-back for 24-72 hours. I, sincerely, doubt I would ever receive that call. The entire time I was holding, I was reading the horrendous customer reviews about all of the really scammy, fraudulent things that had taken place. I requested that my application be cancelled. This company is BAD news. Stay away!

I got a 300 dollar limit which is totally fine - I wanted something manageable. I spent about 200 dollars on gas, food, etc. upon activating it and even made my first payment ahead of schedule. I was hit with over 100 dollars in fees in the first month which put me 6 dollars overbalance. I immediately made another 50 dollar payment upon noticing this. Mind you, my payment is still not due as I already paid it for this month. They have already reported to the credit bureau that I have went over my limit. If you are looking for a card to rebuild your credit, please learn from my mistake and keep looking. As soon as I get paid, it's getting paid off and closed. I can't even get anything but an automated system when calling in either... What a joke!

I contacted Credit One in October to request a replacement card. I was told it would be mailed out and I'd receive it within 7 - 10 business days. Several months went by, I never received the card but forgot about it. I called again in February and was told they had an incorrect address for me although I had not moved or changed my address. I was told it was corrected and the card would be mailed to me. Several more weeks passed and no card. I called a third time and again was told the card had been mailed to the wrong address. For the third time I was told that the address was corrected and the card would be mailed to me.
Another week passed and no card. I received a letter stating they had been unable to reach me and needed to speak with me regarding my account (although I'd received no calls or previous letters). I called and was told that because my address had changed so many times, I needed to mail in a copy of my driver's license and utility bill. What???! I explained that I haven't moved and THEY had incorrectly mailed the cards to the wrong address. I have NEVER heard of a credit card company asking for such information. So basically they request more and very personal information because they screwed up?? It seems like this is done on purpose in order to obtain your driver's license information (based on other similar complaints). I told them to close the account but I would be very surprised if that actually happens. I'm sure this headache will require more calls and complaints.

I had my card for almost 2 years - never late on a payment, never missed a payment, never had an amount due. Apparently I had made a payment in Feb. that never was processed and I was never notified about it not going through. They locked my account the following month; when I tried to go on and pay, the online service told me: "Temporarily Suspended. Access to your account has been temporarily suspended. Please call us: 1-877-825-3242."
When I called the lady said I missed a payment and needed to pay the minimum payment due so I said ok. The lady on the phone let me know $50 was due and there was a processing fee. I told her that is fine and to go ahead and pay $100 since I knew that was my balance left on it anyways. The following week I try to go on and see my balance. Again my account is still locked so I call to see what was going on and why it was still locked. Got a hold of another rep (she put me on hold for well over 10 minutes), she told me my account was cancelled since I didn't make my payment last month. I asked her what had happened to the $100 I paid last week she said that went to the account balance. I asked why I was not notified the first time about my account being cancelled after I made my payment. She made a round about and said that it was my responsibility to find that out before I make payments.
But if I would like to get my account re-activated, I would need to show a letter from my bank showing I made the payment for them to "re-consider" me as a customer. I would need to send this letter to a P.O. BOX in Las Vegas. Worst service ever! Why was there no notification for a missed payment (they had my phone number and my email)? Why did they go straight to cancelling my account rather then letting me know so I can make the payment? These are the things I asked myself. Now I know I will never recommend them to anyone I know, nor will I be trying to reinstate my account! Thanks for helping me build my credit back up but shame for having crappy customer service!

I opened my new credit card account in late 2014 after receiving one of their "Pre-Approved" offers. I had recently returned to consistent and regular employment so I wanted to raise my credit score with another credit reference (already had Capital One and Walmart (Synchrony Bank) credit cards with decent limits, so Credit One's offer (and approval of $300) was appealing -- I saw the $75 initial fee that was fully disclosed so that was OK given my purpose of expanding credit references).
The only problem I encountered was going over my limit by less than $1 (after a cash advance fee to try out that feature) and getting repeated voice messages one day about an "...urgent matter that needs your attention..." -- clearly from an off-shore Customer Service agent since the full content of the message was difficult to fully understand with the person's accent, other than it was a fairly serious matter.
I returned the call... spoke with a CS Supervisor... and got the issue(s) resolved by agreeing to make a payment to cover the cash advance amount immediately, which I did online and it posted to my account the next day. I've made all payments online (instead of the Express Pay option) even though it states they'll show up in several business days... they always post in 3 days or less... and generally I haven't experienced the types of problems like others who've reviewed Credit One Bank -- so I'm 'knocking on wood' that my general satisfaction will continue.
Also I signed up for and get their personalized Alerts - the Credit Score they post though, is lower than what I see regularly on Credit Karma (that I use to monitor my score monthly) and I guess the next test will be to see if they raise my limit as promoted, since all of my payments have been online and either more than the 'minimum' or balance paid in full.
I'll see what the future holds, but generally I'm a satisfied cardholder so I wanted my experiences to be listed in this forum with all of the others who haven't been that way unfortunately. Maybe COB is taking them to heart and implementing positive change(s) that ultimately will benefit them and us as customers--my objective '2 cents worth' and hope it helps others looking for a way to obtain more credit and improve their credit scores (also save too by paying balances off in full when you can).

I opened a Credit One Bank card account in 4/2014 and made regular and timely payments even though I never received a monthly statement. I was admitted to the Veterans Hospital for care and was receiving countless calls from people who spoke very poor English and they demanded FULL PAYMENT, even though credit card companies can ask for full payment approaching with a minimum payment due validates the genuineness of the call, in my opinion.
Identity theft is the number one crime reported today in America and it is on the rise. I requested that statements be mailed, this would allow my Case Manager at the Veterans Hospital to pay that bill with my funds, but they would never send the statement. After release from the hospital I pulled a Credit Karma report and this account is closed by creditor. Credit Karma's report showed a balance of $545.77 (interest charges and late fees), so I called and they couldn't discuss anything with me until that amount was paid. I paid it the next day 3-5-2015. Now the account is still closed and will still be reported as late payments exceeding 90 days.
I think this is criminal because to my knowledge, I had to send them $300.00 from which they used $75 for processing/membership fees leaving me with an available balance of $225.00 on my card. So out of this $545.77 I paid, I should have at least $225.00 available to me. Then I was looking at the fee schedule and I was billed $6.25 for membership fees for 4/2015, which hasn't arrived yet and my account is closed, so I am not a member to which they can bill me, but they did.
These people take advantage of Americans with bad credit, in the fact that all their agents and phone support is located in India, who call demanding full payment, making no offer to provide a statement of charges, they have no fax line to submit requests, they have not answered mail requests, and they do not have an email process... always a phone call that is routed overseas to a person who speaks broken English and "Oh, I'm sorry sir, I have made that request for you, you should have it in 7 to 10 business days, can I process that payment for you now?" A legitimate Credit Card Company should have better customer service and customer care operations. Because they would not provide monthly statements I was unable to make required payments, so interest rates doubled my debt, my account is closed, and my credit reports are damaged.

It seems that the hackers created a duplicate site and got my password etc etc. They then preceded to max out my card, pay it off with my bank info that was stored in the credit one site and then max out my card again. They changed my address within the website and then got all of my info and opened a bunch of other accounts with other companies with this info.
Credit One have been less than helpful, they have barely acknowledged the fraud due to a lack of security on their part and I have had to spend hrs on the phone trying to resolve the issue. In the beginning they even advised I pay my minimum balance!! I had paid that card off in full so I was not going to pay them anything. I have had to close my bank account, order all new checks, etc etc and deal with the other accounts that have been fraudulently opened in my name.
Not once have they issued any apology or anything, there is no accountability at all. I also had to deal with not having any cards while I was traveling as this all happened a few days before I left. He has told them he wants access online before he makes a payment. They will not listen. So now he is calling tomorrow and cancelling the card. Don't waste your time with these people. I wish he looked up these reviews before being an idiot and doing so.

I am only 6 days late on my payment. They took it directly to collections and called me insisting I pay now, indicating that they have my bank credit card on file. I indicated I cannot pay until my next pay period but would be happy to pay the late fees and two payments at once. He handed it over to someone else after asking me a barrage of personal questions. The second person specifically asked about my husband paying, I am divorced. Then the conversation got ugly and he continued to impress upon me he will take the money from my account now, and asked me continually, "How do I survived (money wise)" and he's pressuring me about a spouse. I had to tell him that my spouse is not just my ex, but deceased.
I am very upset and moved to tears. If I had known that I would be treated this way, I would have never obtained the card. He continually said, "If you incur a debt, you pay your debt." I do not disagree, but sometimes life gives you issues. I have a hearing problem and needed him to speak up, he was impatient with this, a few times I had to say, "excuse me but was this what you said." Then he hung up on me.

I received many pre-approved offers from Credit One, eventually I accepted. To my surprise when I received the credit card my maximum credit was $400.00. I haven't even used the card when I got a call from them saying that I owed $101.00. I called to cancel the account, can you imagine they told me that it would take 21 days to cancel the account and during that time I would have to pay late fees up to that date. This company is a rip-off.

I have this credit card for 6 month and it is a great credit card for starter like me. I have this credit card for 6 month and I have no problem. If you pay on time they will increase your credit within 3 month. I highly recommended this credit card. THANK YOU CREDIT ONE FOR MAKING ME FEEL CREDIT WORTHY.

I am trying to cancel my credit card, because the interest rates are outrageous. I have a zero balance, and I call every single number they have on the website which direct you to the same exact menu. No matter what option you choose, you cannot reach an actual person. There are no email addresses. Nothing to actually cancel this awful card.

I received the credit card after applying. Once I activated the card, I owed $94.00 in annual fees with a $400.00 credit line. I called to cancel the card and was given extreme friction. I was successful in cancelling the card yet I fear I may see bills in the future.

Credit One Bank has got to be one of the worst, if not THE worst, credit card companies in history, and I'm just putting that lightly. Anyone who has one of these credit cards have already witnessed how they call and lie to you to get you to pay more than you have to. I've been lied to multiple times but one incident today threw me over the roof. My payment date is 5 days away and the rep told me that he needed a payment that day so I don't get a late fee. I told him I'll skip the ($10) Express Payment and just do a (free) standard payment online. Makes sense, right? Well, not to him. He was bold enough to tell me that if I don't do the express payment with him today and do a standard payment, it might not clear for 7 days so I might get a late fee.
Yes, you read that correctly! So you already know I had to talk to a supervisor. After hearing my frustration, she apologized for what he said and told me that -- no, I won't get a late fee if I do it today. Boy was I mad because the tactics that they are playing to get you to pay not only more than what is due but tricking you into thinking that the $10 Express Payment is your only way to avoid a $35 late fee. Please advise that this is only one of the MANY lies I have been told by a Credit One Bank rep. Take my advise -- Pay off the balance, close the account, and stay away from this credit card!!!

I have TWO Credit One Cards. It is very difficult to tell one from the other & this creates payment problems. Example, I made a payment to Credit One Speed Connect WHICH should have gone to Credit One Credit card!! How am I supposed to know that when I cannot pull up Speed Connect account on the computer?!! I've called them numerous times. Their agent is usually as confused as I am!!! Little or no satisfaction/resolution. I rue the day I ever took out Credit One cards.... i.e. Credit One Credit Card AND Credit One Speed Connect. If you're looking for a credit card bank, I highly advise against it!!! Save yourself time and aggravation!!!!

I was late with a payment and that's when the flood of calls started, sometimes 15 a day, from multiple numbers. Very rude and demanding representatives who were obviously outsourced from somewhere other than the United States. I take full responsibility for being late, but this borders on harassment.

I applied for a credit card in December, 2014. I finally heard in January that I was approved and that the card and pin would be coming separately. I received a bill before anything with a due date of 1-18-2015 and a balance of $81.95 for an annual fee, and a fee for a premium design card (both of which I knew nothing about). I proceeded to call Credit One Bank and told them I wasn't paying for something I hadn't received. They said "No problem, just disregard the bill until you receive your card." I then get another bill but with a $25 late fee and interest charged. I still had not received my card. I called again and was told that it would be coming. I also told them that I wasn't paying any penalty or late fees for something I still had not received and that I had called about this already. I told them to take those charges off or I would report to BBB.
I finally received the pin and then the card on the 26th of January. I used for 2 gas purchases and get a call yesterday that I was behind in payments. I tried to explain that I spoke to a Justin on 2-6-15 and the charges were to be removed and not to pay until I received a bill around the 26th of February. I get a call yesterday saying I owed a late charge and penalty for not paying a bill. Every time I tried to explain the problem, the person on the phone kept interrupting me and I finally told him to shut up and let me finish. He told me not to use bad language. I didn't know shut up was bad.
Then after 4 people on the phone and a terrible connection, I supposedly spoke to the manager (they all sounded just like the first person) and if I made a payment right then, they would waiver the late charges and the $9 fee for paying over the phone. I accused them of blackmail and he denied it. All fees waived if I paid then and there. Then I went to use the card at the market last night and it was declined. And the call was from India and the manager was named Mark **. He also said the payment would come out in a day or two. It came out yesterday. I am very displeased with this company. I was trying to rebuild on my credit and this bank is trying to destroy it. And the only way to get anything done with them is to write them and then I'm not so sure you can get anything done.

My account was suspended, I found out Feb 25th,15. It was for an attempt from a very old game that decided to put in an attempt for money. Ok let's go past that. The 1-877-725 number was nothing but about 5 minutes of Junk offers (Rip off offers imo.) Total advertisements for junk offers means scam.. Okay at the end after pressing 2 about 40 times to decline all the offers they OH btw this is their CUSTOMER SERVICE #...Ok. they finally gave me a message saying the number has changed and I was given this number to call. YUP. The number that showed up in red was just a paid advertisement to throw all that junk at you.
So I dialed the new number 1-800-712-3000. And guess what? It was another one . A clone of the first 1. Finally reaching someone who tried to pry sensitive information from me. I Quickly informed them they cannot give my information to anyone else. You too can have your information tagged and you'll be notified immediately when it's used, given away or even looked at. And it will tell you when and who did it, the reason and the names and addresses of who did it. I suggest you get it too. BTW in 24 hours when my account is unlocked I'll be paying off the balance and destroying the card in a happy ceremonial fire. Thank you.

I have not used the card and money owed on the card was just processing fees. Called Credit One on Feb.24th and they stated that I would have to pay the late fees. I have had nothing but issues with credit one. When I first got my credit card, I called to make a payment by phone. I was informed that there was a 9.50 fee to call in my payment!! What? And why? Any other credit card company lets you call in payments for free!!!! Then 2 days before my payment due date I started receiving phone calls asking when they would receive my payment!! It wasn't even due yet and they began hassling me!!! Are you kidding me??!! After several months of making on time significant payments, I requested a credit line increase bc I need some very costly dental work done. I was denied without explanation, even though I have consistently made significant and on time payments....
Their interest rates are absolutely outrageous!! This is an awful company... They do not care about their customers at all!! Its very obvious!! All they care about is money nothing else! Do not do business with Credit One! They are nothing but a rip off! Oh.. also, when you do make early payments it takes over a week for them to credit your account!!

First let me start off by saying that like most perhaps all of the people that have written a review here I had "less than perfect" credit. My credit rating took a beating in 2009 when the economy took a dump and it took me longer than I thought to get back on my feet. I finally was back on my feet again and I needed to rebuild my credit rating so I was approved with this card along with 2 other credit cards from different banks.
I have now had my account with Credit One Bank for a little over a year and was originally approved for a $700 credit line and I now have a $1000 credit line. Yes they charge for every little thing but this is the crappy deal that those of us get while we build or in my case rebuild our credit, it's just the way it is.. As far as the Customer Service Dept goes I have not had to call them once. Also just about every bank's customer service is outsourced overseas these days..
Here is what I did while having this account and perhaps it is the reason why I have not had any issues with this bank? First I have never waited until the due date to pay my bill. I usually pay my bill 1-2 weeks before the due date. Second I never pay my bill on Credit One Bank's website, I use my personal bank's eBill Pay system. My bank electronically transfers the funds and it post the very next day at Credit One Bank. Third I always pay my bill in full every month. I only use 30% of my available credit every month and pay the balance in full. This is what I have done every month for the almost 15 months that I have had this account and I have never been charged a late fee or have been contacted by them via phone call or email. I hope this was helpful??

I've had my account for almost 2 years now. I have been charged so many different fees. At one point I was getting charged for three different things. Annual fee, fee for having the account, service protection fee on top of the regular monthly fee. Late payment fee of $35. When you contact a customer service member, I can't understand them. Also, they can only waive 1 fee even if it’s their fault.

I received this offer in the mail and applied for the card. Open acceptance I received a card. Before I even spent any money, I got a statement that I owe $80+. I have gotten two statements which I paid in full by the due date. However on each statement it shows an interest charge. When I challenged these charges they claim that you will be charged interest every day from the day the charge was incurred. Do not apply for this card.

I was late on payment because did not receive statement. When I reviewed my bills set up to pay through my bank, I realized Credit One was not paid. Paid last Thurs, payment will post today. Cust serv overseas kept telling me I had to make the payment now on the phone even though I had explained that the payment would post today. So I called the physical location in Las Vegas. 15 min wait time. I called back and ask the receptionist if she could have them call me when they were free. She told me no. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.
