Don't ever use Credit One Bank! I was going through a rough time and needed some assistance. I opened up a credit card with them. After reading the terms and all, I figured it was my best bet to just give me that little bit of extra help... HUGE mistake. When I got my card and first bill, I had a fee of $50 that I didn't spend on my card as a one time fee. I called them and told them I didn't read about this fee. I wanted to cancel the card. They said they could decrease it to 25. Finally I said OK simply because the customer representative was rude and pushy. I call today to change my address. The lady I spoke with could barely understand a thing I said and pushed that I paid my total balance without even asking me what my reason for calling was.

After going around and around with her TRYING to make sure she has my correct address she was still pushy that I pay my total balance instead of paying my minimum or even a payment of my choice. After 3 different amounts given to me for my payoff and 2 different times of trying to give her my card number I gave up. I said seriously you have given me 3 different payoff amounts. If I mail a check what is my balance. She gave me my total (the 1st out of the 3 numbers) and then pushed me to give her my routing number and all to pay over phone via check.

I laughed and said "absolutely NOT going through this with you." I told them I will be mailing in a check and I will be closing out my account. She then started to beg me to keep them and not understanding why I was so unhappy with them. I could go on... these were simply 2 phone calls not even the ridiculous fees they add on to get more money out of your pocket! I should have done some research before making my decision! Lesson well learned for sure! Go ahead and Google them. You will find the 750 TOP complaints with this credit card.... now I realize it wasn't just me. Just wanted to share so somebody else who is going through a rough time and read the print... there are loopholes they love to use! Be safe and make sure you really research even if you are desperate!

This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. My account has been hacked over a dozen times and they keep assuring me it's been corrected and then it happens again. My address has been changed without my consent, they keep adding an additional user on the account, whom I don't know then they charge my account the fee for it. Then I don't receive my statements because they are being sent to whomever changed the address which means they now have my personal information. Then when I called customer service to report the fact I hadn't received my statements in awhile, they blamed me for not noticing sooner. I put a special password on my account months ago to try to prevent this from continuing, but it still keeps happening.

I finally got to the breaking point when I spoke to customer service the last time and they appeared to have no record of any of my 11 previous fraud reports and couldn't understand why I was so upset. They didn't understand anything I had to say and just kept repeating the standard script. What I've gone through with this company has been a nightmare. Charges on my account that don't belong to me, I've had my card cancelled and reissued so many times I can't even count. Don't ever choose this card. It's the worst decision I've ever made regarding a credit account.

I lost my card and was not receiving statements. Therefore, had no way of paying my bill without this information unless I wanted to do it over the phone and pay a 9.00 processing fee. I called the minute I lost it and asked for a new card to be reissued. Two weeks later I make the same phone call. Then I receive a phone call that my payment is late so I pay it over the phone and they waived the 9.00 fee. Then again no card and the cycle starts over again but now they will not waive the fee to pay so I continually have to call and fight with them. Still no card, no statements and no way to pay online. Then I am told that since it was late they closed my account. They have caused negative activity on my account and they should not be allowed to service anyone. I am now reporting this to the credit agencies.

For the record, I have never in my life left a review. This is to save you all. First and for most, there should be a negative star option for Credit One Bank's performance, by far the worst. I would compare dealing with this company similar to the traumatic experience you endure from your childhood dog dying, except worse. Never in my life have I been so disrespected, forgotten about, and screwed over by a company.

I have tried several times to fix certain issues via toll-free call. Every time, no matter what your complaint, issue, or solution is, it is the same exact response. They do not listen or give any ** about what you're trying to say. They simply wait until you're done speaking and then read something completely irrelevant to the conversation off the piece of paper in front of them.

FINALLY, if you're lucky enough you'll get transferred to the "supervisor". Now the supervisors at least made it through high school and got a G.E.D!!! After pretending like they want to help and actually understand what you're saying, they will come up with a solution to the problem... Two weeks later, you find out they forgot to fix the solution, really just ignored everything you said while playing tetris on their computers and now it'll be your fault that they ** up again. THIS BANK IS TERRIBLE. For your own good, please, please, please do not do this to yourself! They will make you sad, confused, angry, and you'll feel dumber after every conversation. Save America!!! Get rid of Credit One Bank!!!

I received a notice that I was preapproved for a $300 credit card, and had to finish the application process. The first thing that went wrong was that they needed paper copies of my identification documents, a copy of my ID and my Social. Already this is a bad practice, putting your ID in the mail system. After waiting 2 weeks, I called the customer service, and found that they were not fluent in English. This caused a communication issue, where I was unsure on what he was saying. In the end, I had to call each week for 3 weeks, just to "get my card generated" as they said.

Finally, the online portal said I was denied my application. I called and asked how can a preapproval be denied, and they said that the preapproval process does not actually cover credit approval, and that once my documents were received they then ran an actual credit application, which negatively affected my credit score. I would never have applied to them in the first place if I had not been lied to about the preapproval process. These people are predatory in nature, and lie to you at every turn. Do not ever acknowledge thee people, nor use their products.

I gave them a star because there is no way to give it just ZERO. They are total liars! I received a letter offering a 2,000 limit credit card 0% fees. They ended charging $75 plus late fees for not paying it. (When I was not expecting a charge of anything!) They waived the late fees but still I had to pay the registration fee. I used the card because I have a credit for a return. Every time you use the card they charge Finance Charges, regardless if you pay on time or not, and regardless if you have credit on your favor!!! TOTAL SCAM SINCE THE FIRST MOMENT. I canceled the card and waiting for a check on my email with the credit I have for a return. Unbelievable.

I have had this card for almost a year now for Credit One and have had nothing, but problems. They still cannot figure out why I can't log onto my online account, after a year. If I call with an issue they are very unprofessional. I have been yelled at and talked down to by employees. I have called multiple times to try and figure out my online stuff and have been told several different things. They harass you if you are late on a payment, but won't make things right so I can have an easier way to pay my bills and track everything. When I pay this company off I will close my account and never go through Credit One again. I plan on sticking with Capital One who works with you and solves every issues I have with no problem.

Deception! I applied for a credit card and was approved for a $400 credit line. I accepted it because Credit One Bank terms are that the $75 first year annual fee will be deducted from the $400 upon receipt of the first statement. And this is a lie. I have made no purchase yet, and received a statement asking me to pay for the $75 annual fee and the bank also charged a $25 late fee and in addition a $1.04 interest fee!!! Total $101.04 they claim I owe. This company is out to get you. No integrity whatsoever! I will not use their card. Moving on and away from their disgusting practices. Representative started off great and tried waiving $25 then $50 dollars off annual fee if I just agreed to keep the card. I told her I just wanted to cancel after reading all the bad reviews (the worst on any credit card I have seen). Then became angry at me for not keeping it a couple days to think about it. At this point I completely stayed pleasant and repeated to please cancel my card. She then gave me cancellation number and Representative said nothing more for me to do. But I still looked up credit card cancellation letters and sent one to Las Vegas where their Card Center is to make sure it gets cancelled.

I called and asked them to close my account. I actually BEGGED them since they wouldn't cooperate... I begged 2 people and finally they said they closed it and when I asked for a confirmation number they wouldn't give me one. Later on, I called again and the guy told me my account is still open. Luckily, he agreed to close it and gave me a verification number.

A month later I received a statement saying I owe 50$ again. I'M SO MAD!! Then I look a bit more and in the smallest smallest font it says, "Your account is currently closed, do not pay." WHAT IS THIS?? I called and asked them and they said I have 0 balance therefore I don't have to pay, but why send me a bill in huge font saying I owe fifty dollars? What kind of credit card company are you?? This is a scam. Please do not fall for their letter saying you have been approved. They will approve anything with a beating heart.

I have never mailed copies of my ID to a company for a line of credit and won't start now. Credit One ran my credit isn't (everything provided on my application matches my credit report) so why ask for the ID. With identity theft being a big concern they need to find another way to verify their customers. One more issue none of the customer service representatives are in the US. I did not have this credit card and I am glad about this but my husband has it. I help him pay for this credit card every month and never ever see a lot of charges like these before. Everything you do, they charge you a fee. For example, lost and get the new card - $25, increase credit limit which I always say no when it pop up online but they increase by themselves and charge you a fee, annual fee, late fee. All are overcharges that other credit cards do not have. Do not fall for this. Do not apply for this card. You will get the bad services and when you want to close the account, you still have some charge after that. You have to check and call them many times to make sure that the account has $0 balance which I will do too.

I never had a problem. All my transactions went through. They plainly state all fees. If you ask for a CLI and get it, they will charge you. If they give you a CLI without requesting it, they don't charge you. The annual fee is in bold print along with all other fees. If you use your bank's bill pay, your account will be credited the day after you scheduled the bill to be paid. Example my bill is due on the 30th, I schedule my bill pay on the 15th of each month. My bank sends it on the 15th to be received the 17th. Well when I check on the 17th my credit one payment was always posted on the 16th. And I paid my account off 2 weeks ago and closed my account because on Oct. 29th 2015 would be my 1 year with them and I wasn't going to pay $8.50 a month for the next year.

When I called to cancel my account the rep asked why and I said I didn't need it anymore. She said since my balance was 0 it would its closed effectively now. 10 days later I received my letter stating I requested my account to be closed. I do know that I will get a statement for interest owed. When you pay off a balance that is being charged interest your next statement will have an interest charge.

They offer credit card accounts with high interest fees, monthly charges for membership fees, increase credit limit fees, pay-over-phone fees, late fees, (you breathe on the phone fees), kidding on the last one! But you see what I meant, fees up in ying-yang! No grace period even when you paid on the same day (passed certain time), and you can't do reoccurring payment through your bank or auto pay either. This company is banking (pun intended) on fees, and those consumers with fair credit will make minor mistakes. Customer service agents are in the US. The POPE was in New York and I lost my wallet, I contacted all my credit card companies Chase/Amex/Citi. All of them overnighted me a new card, now CREDIT ONE BANK is a nightmare. I called them in August 2015 to explain what happened, was told a replacement card would cost me $25. I ** really that's unheard of and it would take 10-19 business days to get to me. After 2 hours of ** with 10 different reps none whom spoke English I finally got a woman named Tiffany on the phone from Collections Dept to tell me, she'll get it mailed out to and no one here knows what they are doing, they are instructed to transfer the call to a (phone pool) which just circulates the call to anyone available. Finally some closure, so I thought.

Fast forward to today 10/27/2015 nothing yet so pick up the phone only to speak to a nice Filipino lady TELLING ME THERE'S NO RECORDS OF MY CALL, like she's reading from a script. "Do you want me to put in a order for a new card yes or no?" "Yes." "Ok there is a fee of $9.95 for this service and you will receive the card in 10-19 business days." "Ok, well I want it rush delivery." Her "Do you want me to put the account into rush status?" "Yes," I answer. "That will be $99 fee for rush delivery, + 9.95 for the card." "Ok ok, just send it. Who is the carrier is it FedEx, UPS, USPS?" "WE CAN'T TELL YOU THAT." Ok, rush delivery is 4-5 days not overnight??? "Ok can I get a confirmation number or an email confirmation?" "Hold on I will get my supervisor."

10,15 minutes goes by. "I'm sorry we don't do that, give confirmation numbers, is there anything else I can help you with?" Sure there is, "What is my current balance on my credit card, it should be $0 I paid it all in full." "May I have your card number?" "Well you were just working on the card." "No that was someone else." "No you were. How did you know about the confirmation number?" "Hold on wait." 2 minute. "Hello Sir, the representative does not understand what you are asking." "I asked for my balance, she was working on my account." "We don't have that information here"... and they HUNG UP.

Here's my response: filed FTC gov complaint # **. We can all ** about this bank but if you don't file a FTC complaint there's not good outcome. For us, fine I'll keep the account open cause closing it will hurt my FICO score and use it in emergencies only. The representatives work on a VPN network, so you're always going to get someone from India or the Philippines. There are no English speaking reps or reps in the USA. You can write them in Nevada, but they don't respond. There is no email address to send an email to. My advice is if you have a complaint file the FTC gov complaint against a consumer company, don't close the account cause they report to Experian who holds negative information for 10 years and closing an account is a negative. This was a mistake a lot of us made. Seeking credit, you're better off with Capital One card.

I signed up for this card because I thought it was a Capital One card. And, while I know that was my fault for not paying better attention, it is named "Credit One" and the logo, font, color, and placement are EXACTLY the same as Capital One. It's an easy mistake to make and one they do on purpose. I'm surprised Capital One hasn't sued them yet...anyways, I DID pay close attention the other offer and nowhere did it say there was an annual fee.

When I received my card nowhere did the paperwork mention an annual fee so I was really surprised to learn that on a $300 credit limit they charged me a whopping $75 fee to use the card. That's a 25% fee, which is higher than their interest rate! Then I started reading the reviews - which I should have done from the beginning, but like I said I thought it was from a trusted company. I'm going to pay off my balance and cancel the card just because I think if they are sneaky enough to use someone else's logo and hide an annual fee, then they are sneaky enough to do other things that cause problems for my bank account. Expensive lesson learned!! Don't trust this company.

I was sent a pre-qualifying application in the mail and thought everything looked good so I went ahead and got the card. Big mistake. The interest is higher than I agreed to, they NEVER once mentioned that I would be getting a charge just to "order" the card and there are always random fees. Even if you are over $100 from your card limit that's not what funds you have available. And customer service doesn't have any answers, the mobile website NEVER works, and I would say a good 90% of the time I try to log in to make a payment it tells me "the system is unable to verify your username or password". Also, if you happen to make your payment ON your due date, you'll be charged a late fee. The customer service is never friendly. The card itself doesn't always work. So I've paid it off and will never use it again (closing it will just look bad on my credit).

I will start by saying my husband and I have had Credit One for over a year. We have had multiple credit line increases. I know the interest is high and the annual fee is crap, but we needed an additional line of credit to rebuild our credit. We have never had any issues with them. We always pay well over the minimum amount due and have never paid late. Yesterday I took my kids shopping. I decided to use Credit One card. A $7.33 charge was declined. I thought it had to be the machine at the store. I paid for my purchase another way and left. I logged into the Credit One account as soon as I got out of the store only to find I had $1 available. I looked at the pending transactions and there were multiple charges that had occurred the previous day in another state.

Since my husband is the primary account holder, he had to call them. When he called, he was told that since we both physically had our cards, there was no way someone else could be using it. The guy he spoke to was rude and was determined we made all the charges. My husband called back several times until he found a representative he could somewhat understand. This person said they would send an affidavit for us to fill out listing the charges we did not do and that our cards were canceled and new ones were being sent out.

This morning I try to get into the account to print a screenshot of the charges only to find out our entire account has been froze and we cannot get into the account online. It looks like this is going to be a battle and our credit is going to be ruined over this because I am not paying charges I didn't make. You would think a card that rarely gets used all of a sudden gets maxed out in one day there would be some type of red flag. I have another account with a different bank that had 2 fraudulent charges and they red flagged it immediately and called, emailed, and sent me a text to alert me. Once this is all settled, the account will be closed.

I said "I'm driving, can I verify myself in other ways?" So after the verification I said "Oh I bet I forgot to set my payment up. My husband just left" (you can't set one up in advance it's an automatic withdraw). She said "Mhm I hear you. I'm going to charge the account on file for the minimum payment" and when I said "No, I do not authorize you to charge. I will do it once I arrive home. I might want to use my separate checking account," she says "Ma'am, pull your car over and take out your debit card to pay." I replied with "Excuse me? I'm on a road with no shoulder. I will not pull over. I will check my account and make a payment when I get home".

She then proceeded to say "Excuse me? Are you trying to not pay your account? I have account info right here I can charge." And I said "Well yeah, I want to double check my accounts and pick the one I want to use, do not charge me." And she said again "Ma'am I need you to do this right now, it cannot wait." After arguing like this for 10 minutes (still have nowhere to pull over), she says "You know what? I'm transferring you to my supervisor" and her supervisor gives me the same attitude but I said to him what I had been trying to get through to her, and he says "Oh okay that's no problem" and hangs up. Like for what reason do you think you can bully me on paying my account when I'm a day late, and haven't been late before?

No one there can take a complaint it seems because they have no option. She was rude and a total bully. I understand I needed to pay but they had already called me 2x so I called back because they weren't leaving messages and I was in the middle of coming home from a long day at work. I have to review because I know a lot of negative feedback always gets put out there more than positive feedback... But I don't believe all the bad reviews out there for this credit card, simply because I have had nothing but a smooth, simply great experience with this line of credit and their customer service. I have moved recently, and all I had to do to update my address was simply get online to my online account, and change my address in my profile. As I was logging in to do so, prompts came up, saying I was eligible for a credit increase, and to accept all I had to do was simply follow the prompt to accept my line of credit increase.

Their website is the easiest, most efficient business website I have probably ever dealt with. It's always up to date, simple to navigate and do anything you would need to do with your account; make a payment, accept offers, and update your account at any time. My card was received a month or so before my old card expired, and payments post quicker than my other credit cards. I also have forgotten my payment a time or two, and I wasn't even charged that horrible late fee like all my other credit cards. Fees are fees and theirs are reasonable. They also are great at communicating, through prompts on their website, telling you what new perks they offer like their percentage back for purchasing gas with your Credit One card. All in all I completely recommend their services and I am happy with their product.

I received Credit One's offer in the mail, READ ALL OF THE INCLUDED INFO AND DISCLOSURES, and decided to sign/return the acceptance form. Due to being diagnosed with a serious, progressive disease, I became unable to work after a time and my new financial reality included losing my house to foreclosure and wrecking my credit. I've adjusted and have been slowly building it back. I really needed a credit card for travel because I often need to go out of my area for surgery and treatment. I've had this card for a few months. Yeah, the interest rate (19 percent) is high but have you looked at the rate for some store credit cards? They're about 24 percent, too. I'm not thrilled with the "hard sell" aspects and fees for everything, like the push for the additional user and special design card. I ignore it. The expedited payment fee of $9.95 is too high, I think.

But everything else has been just as written in the mailing I received. It clearly states that there is an annual fee and what that fee is -- and that it reduces your credit limit. I don't understand from the reviews here why many people seem to be so shocked by that, don't pay it, and then complain when they're hit with late fees for not paying it. I paid that, on time, when I received my statement and they increased my credit limit by $150 a few weeks later without my requesting it. On the website, it also clearly states that if you make a regular online payment, it can take several days to be reflected in your available credit and it gives you the time by which the payment has to be made to be credited that day. Again, I haven't had a problem with this even though I made one payment the day it was due. It was before the time given and posted to my account that day.

Are the terms of this card great? No. This company is in business to make money primarily from people who need credit but don't have many or any good options. But I'm relieved to have a credit card I can use for car rentals and hotel deposits -- things you can't do with cash or a debit card anymore -- so I'll pay the annual fee and keep a close eye on everything else to avoid getting dinged for other fees. And this should help rebuild my credit.

The stories of unauthorized charges and payments being taken from people's bank accounts have startled me so I will be keeping watch. Thankfully, my regular bank has an excellent fraud protection and alert department. But some of the other complaints I've read were very much about things that were clearly stated in the disclosures or on the website. Especially the annual fee. Just because you chose not to read everything before you signed the paper agreeing to open the account doesn't mean you're not held to the policies and terms. Customer "service" sounds horrific. I really hope I can just continue to do my thing without issues and not need them. I guess time will tell.

Called customer service (that term does not apply in this case). I discovered that (a) that department is in New Delhi, India, and the only address is a P.O. Box in Las Vegas. Nothing is more frustration to men than try to talk to someone on the telephone, whose English is so poor that I cannot understand them. I question that this company is even an American based company. Actually, this looks like a huge scam to me. Yes, Credit One has paid the business where I made charges. However, I had $36 available credit when the $90 - $95 - $95 were presented for payment to Credit One. All these charges should have been denied and they were not. They assume that because I want to protect my credit rating that I will pay these?? Hah - NOT!!!

I have now received an affidavit of fraud and forgery form to fill out and attach a, "Identity Theft Report " from my local police department. Ha!!! Yeah, right !!!

Very suspicion business activities!!! My suggestion to everyone who has had a bad experience with Credit One, whether you have received satisfaction or not is to file a complaint with your states Attorney General Office. Online - search for (your state) Attorney General's Office. Mine is California Attorney General's Office, Department of Justice. On their site, look for Complaint Forms - complaint against a business. This puts Credit One on notice and there is a file started. If the state gets enough complaints, they will take action.

Same logo, wordage, etc. I just didn't look closely enough when signing up. I got an initial credit line of $300. When my due date arrived, I attempted to sign in to the account to pay my bill. Upon doing so, at approximately 7PM, I noticed a late charge of $25 dollars was assessed to my account, even though it wouldn't officially be late until 5 hours later. I attempted to pay the bill anyway and was unsuccessful until the following day.

That morning, I was bombarded by calls from the collection department demanding payment, even though I had paid the entire amount owed, including the late fee and an express payment fee of $9.95! The gentleman on the other end of the phone was very rude, and because of his very thick accent, he didn't understand that I had already paid online. Long story short, by paying the express payment of $9.95, the website clearly states that those funds would be available the next business day, Friday.

Today is Saturday, the automated system says the funds have been received and I have an available balance of $66! The balance would not be available for 7 days! I eventually found the number to call customer service and I spoke to another gentleman with a very thick foreign accent. He stated yes indeed the payment posted on Thursday, but the funds wouldn't be available until the following Thursday! He did say $100 would be available on my account, but when I asked why only $66 was showing as available, he couldn't provide an answer! He kept telling me it was my mistake and all he could do was refund the $9.95! No mention of the funds being available or the late fee being refunded!

My guess is that they are sitting on my funds for a week to make a few dollars in interest on my behalf. Why else would they hold funds for 7 days?! Do this with a million customers and you'll see how they make their money! I should have listened to the reviews and stayed far away from this crooked company! I'd like to contact the Nevada consumer affairs division and file a complaint! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!

Basically wanted to try out a card after coming out of bankruptcy. Thought this might be the one, but please read one. 1st, they charge the annually fee IMMEDIATELY then the fun begins. It takes 5-7 days to post payments and online payments are routinely refused for unknown reasons. So, if you pay online right before the due day, it will be about a week later before you realize it didn't go through. Then they start charging fees, late charges etc. If you do call India for the customer no-service, they say, "Call your bank, call your bank!" Overall I would rate this a scam. Legal, but a scam. My advice, make copies of the statements and snail mail all your payments. Yes, mail via the USPS. That is only way they will post your funds. Then when you have a zero balance, it will take a while. Then close the account IMMEDIATELY and walk away.

I immediately asked if I could speak with a call center in the states. As we all know, this option was not provided. I was told I could speak to a supervisor. Guess what I was given the same person after 6 separate phone calls who stated they were the supervisor, Terry was the name provided.

My first complaint, is if there was an annual fee at the time I signed up for the card I would have NOT/NEVER taken this card and if I had known that their customer service was in India and I could never speak to any in the states I would I never taken this card. As of today I am sending the card through a meat grinder to make sure I will never use it again and will surely pay it off by the end of the month.

This has been one of the worst decision I have made for a lousy $500.00 card. The State's Attorney office should shut them down, our government should uphold a standard. How much more should we have to take when customer service is lousy, communications is one sided and there is no resolve to your complaints AND THEY ARE PLAYING GAME, "MY NAME IS BROWN, MY NAME IS TERRY". I called six times and the supervisor each time was named Terry, how ironic is that. Hot mess, mad as H!!! Angry that we have resulted in deception, hypocrisy in the name of credit card scams. RUN.

So when I realized that I had not seen a bill yet I called them to see when my payment was due and of course it was, with a late fee and wanted to make the payment over the phone. They said that the cost to make the payment over the phone was $9.95 but if I wanted to make a payment over the internet on their website then it would only cost me $4.95!!!

After arguing with them that I had never received my statement they finally agreed to waive the fee. They reassured me that my paper statements would be coming for the next month... and they didn't come the next month or the next month and I feel that they do this on purpose so that people have to pay the fees to make their payments over the phone and online at the last minute in order to avoid an even higher late fee.

I begin receiving calls in late July, early August from a loud background call center in India, with poor English speaking, hard to understand representatives attempting to collect on an account I never opened. They claim I opened a Visa in mid July of 2015, that I owed them a $75 annual fee and already am late on that charge, have a $25 late fee and am accumulating interest at almost usury rates of 24%!! I asked them how much they claim I owed. They claim I owed for purchases in actual purchases but with fees and late charges my balance was up to close to $300! I told them that I would never sign up for a credit card at that interest rate, nor have I ever had a credit card with an "annual fee" since I know better. The representative demanded I make payment as if he didn't hear a word I said.

I don't know what I am going to do about getting Credit One Bank off my credit report now. What a mess this is going to cause for years to come I am sure, affecting my ability to borrow. I currently owe nothing to creditors period. I am in the middle of a bankruptcy 13 and so it makes no sense to me I would even qualify for credit at this time. Clearly, the government needs to step in and shut this damn bank down altogether. I am so angry that while I had reorganized my debt in 2012 with a BK13, I was really on my way to clean up my credit by keeping myself clean of any consumer debt - a plan I have been on for over three years now. This is a crushing blow to know I am a victim of fraud affecting a huge long term goal. What a shame. Credit One Bank is such a predator!

About 2 months ago I was informed, via email, by Credit One Bank that my card had been compromised and so they were closing down the original account and opening a new account. This would mean I should expect to receive a new card in the mail within 7 - 10 days. When I checked my account the next day, the new account had already been set up and all balances and pending charges had been transferred over to the new account - less than 24 hours after I had received the original email. This is important to note. Almost 3 weeks later, just as I was about to go out of town, I received the new card. Since the trip was both for business and pleasure I put the card in the back of the wallet and continued on my trip.

When I got back, I arranged to get a Debt consolidation loan so I could pay off this card as well as several other cards that were high on my "frustration" list. I went online to my bank's bill pay section and had the money electronically sent to Credit One, well before my due date. Imagine my surprise when I received an email saying I was "Past Due" for my payment and "overlimit" as well!

I called to find out what was going on and was met by someone with a thick East Indian accent claiming their name was "Michael" and saying it was my fault because my bank had sent it to the closed account. They acknowledged they had received it but somehow the so-called "CLOSED" account was able to receive the money! Last time I looked - when you close an account of any kind through a computer system, it is CLOSED and unable to accept any incoming transactions of any kind. So I told them that I want the money transferred IMMEDIATELY. Their response, "we will do so but it will take 48 -72 hours." Excuse me, but you could transfer all of my balance due in less than 18 hours, now it takes 72 hours to transfer the payment that takes the balance down to zero?!

Apparently every level of customer service has the same script because it did not matter how far up the ladder I went, I was answered by someone who - by the telephone connection - sounded like they were in Bangladesh and who gave me the same response; never answering my questions and continuing to blame my bank. My only conclusion is that when they say they are "closing" an account they don't. Why they keep it open can be left to one's imagination and interpretation but I am wondering if this is something that the FDIC should be looking into. That may be my next call! Since I had to mark at least one star I want to make note that they don't even deserve that and ANGRY does not even come close to describing how I feel right now!

I contacted Credit One Bank this morning about a payment that I made online that was never posted or charged from my bank account. The representative that I spoke with barely spoke English was very difficult. I told him that the late fee needed to be waived because this was not a mistake on my end which he agreed to. He said he would be charging me $50, my September and October payment. I refused. I told him that I will pay my payment due by October 1 another time, today I'm just taking care of the September 1 payment. He wanted to argue but I would not budge.

After taking my debit card numbers he informed me he would charge my payment a $9.95 processing fee. I immediately told him this was unacceptable, and I was not paying anything more than the payment that they neglected to initially process. He then said he would reduce it to $7.95. I asked for a supervisor and he said the supervisor would tell me the same. I told him I do not care. I refuse to pay that fee. He said he could only waive one thing, either the late fee or the processing fee, and then knocked it down to $5.95. I finally told him, I don't care if he offered $0.99, I'm not paying it and I wanted to speak with a supervisor right NOW. He then gave up and gave in.

After processing the payment, he then offered to waive the processing fee for my next payment since he already had my bank information as long as it was scheduled to be paid in the next week... "umm NO thank you, you definitely are not keeping my bank information to God only knows do what with". I just wanted to get off the phone and he kept insisting it would be easier to schedule it ahead of time. I told him I'll send it online again and if it doesn't go through again then they'll be hearing from me again and doing the same thing! And that the website should be reliable and trusted to process payments. I have a couple store charges and Capital One for another credit card and never in my life have I had so much difficulty.

Where do I even begin with this company? Earlier in the year, I had over $400 worth of fraudulent purchases on my card. Did they even attempt to contact me? No. Did they assume I spent outrageous amounts of money online within a few days? Yes. I mean, the norm for other companies would be to make a call to the account holder to verify that these were not fraudulent purchases - but no, this had not even occurred to this poor excuse of a company.

When I discovered the purchases, I contacted them immediately to which I was told to "call back on Monday during our operational hours, we cannot help you right now." In the end, I managed to dispute all of the false charges but it took over 2 months to settle (and a lot of calling to them on my part, lots of hanging up on their part). After this experience, I decided to cancel this card and pay off the rest ASAP.

Around the week of August 9th, I mailed a check to pay off the remaining balance. I assumed they would receive the check within the week so I refrained from checking my balance online (HUGE error on my part, I will be the first to say). Unfortunately, my balance was not paid off. When did I check? September 1st. On top of that, they were hammering me with late charges and those "annual fees;" so I decided to give them a call.

After about an hour or so of getting disconnected, hung up on and transferred, I finally talked to someone about my situation. They had stated something along the lines of "we have not received a check, but we ask you to call us back tomorrow". I said well, alright, I'm not sure how this is going to help but what have you. That night, I checked my balance online - and what do I see? My payment posted.

My payment, recorded as received on August 16th, posted on September 1st. Automatically, I was absolutely furious. Why? It became clear to me that they withheld my check in order to charge me late fees and all of that other useless nonsense. They, most likely, only posted it because I called about it and they figured they could not get away with this scam any longer. I called them once again, and they forced me to pay all of the other extra fees that were added after I mailed my check. They were trying to charge me the express fee, but I managed to talk them out of that. Over all, what I have to say about this company for anyone interested?

Do not do it. This is not worth it, even if you are trying to build up your credit: do NOT apply for this card. The customer service representatives are rude, lack basic manners and barely speak English, and they flat out refuse to help you unless you threaten them or force them to transfer you to someone who is somewhat more helpful than the last.

First off I wanted to give them less than a one star but was unable to do so. I am in the process of rebuilding my credit, have done great until receiving this card. My payments have never been late. My first issue is that when I made my first payment I forgot to include enough zeros in my account number causing my payment not to go through. Instead of letting me know that and letting me correct the issue they completely locked me out of my account. I called and tried to explain the situation to the agent on the phone but was unable to make them understand what I was saying. First off their accent was very thick and the call was being answered in India. They wouldn't let me use the account I used previously so I ended up making the payment from my other bank account with the routing number and account number and my account was still locked after the payment was received.

When I made the payment I paid an additional $9.95 so that my account would be updated after midnight. Instead of that happening it took 72 hours for my account to reflect the payment. I attempted to log into my account today but was still unable to. I called and attempted to figure out what the issue was. The first person I spoke to couldn't understand what I was saying and was very rude. I called back and got a lady that was very polite and did explain the situation to me a bit better. She told me that they were having issues with my bank account and that I should have received a letter in the mail, that explained the situation. I informed her that I didn't receive one.

She explained to me that she needed a letter from the bank with their letterhead. I failed to understand why that was needed, and she couldn't explain it clearly to me. I also fail to understand why that information was needed, the only thing that they should be worried about is that the payment went through, if it does then good. The only one that needs to have concerns about my bank account is me and my bank. My mistake was not looking them up on Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. I have learned my lesson. Good luck everyone and be cautious.

I've called at least once a month for the last 6 months and they keep telling me it takes 30-60 days and sometimes 90. I still have no response. I want it off my record. Also, they need to not outsource the call center. I do not understand other languages and these are barriers. And still no one has responded back to me. I think this is a scam ran by this company yet it affects our credit scores.

Credit One Bank is one of the worst credit card companies I've ever dealt with. They take advantage of people who are trying to rebuild their credit with outrageous fees, high-interest rate and $75 annual fee!!! I mistakenly applied for this card thinking it would be a good way to rebuild my credit. Damn was I wrong! You have to pay at least half of the annual fee when you sign up and they charge you a "processing fee" when you try to make your payment, and when you call their customer support they speak with a very heavy accent that's hard to understand. It's ridiculous! I closed my account with them after a few months and got a way better credit card from "Capital One". Don't fall for this "Credit One Bank", sign up with "Capital One" instead.

I applied to this company right before my family and I went to MO to see our son graduate boot camp for the Army that was in May, didn't get the card till after we came back. So we used the card for groceries and such. Well the first payment was right after we got home and it was $25 and I miscalculated the date and it the bank before the due date and was sent back as NSF. Well the following day I made the payment with an extra $$ to cover the fee.... Well after that we decided to put the card away. After that they decided to automatically take out the payments before the due date and each time (2 more) was NSF in the bank so when I found out I automatically made the payment and extra to cover for 2 months this happened. Then I went to see the balance online, I couldn't go back in so I called and they told me that the acct is closed and needed to pay the full amount because of lack of payment... **!!!

Now the acct is closed and a negative mark on my credit report after years of getting it back to where we needed to buy a house but now forget it... The company SUCKS!!! This is the same company that my mother had 9 years ago that didn't want to be in the credit repair program that she was in, all the other credit card companies were accepting the contract but not them. Till this day they are threatening a 76 y/o retired woman with jail time if she doesn't pay.... How rude and what idiots. I truly regret applying to them! They called today 9/1/15 to make arrangement and told them that I couldn't until I get paid next week and she tried every way possible to get the full amt of the bill, I don't think so. I told her that I will pay the amount due before the due date and she wanted a letter of my bank stating that it's active.... I don't think so.

I paid my balance in full, only to find that I always have a balance because Bank One charges their annual fee broken in monthly payments. They will not allow a 1 time payment of the annual. Then they assess interest over the monthly payment of the annual fee. I spoke with the supervisor and requested the date to pay the fee, so it will not collect interest. I was told that there is no way to avoid paying the interest on the monthly charge for the annual fee. I was also told that these are the terms and it is take it or leave it. However, if I close the credit card account, my score will decrease. So it is an institutional-legal robbery? What can I do to stop this? Is there a class action suit I can join? There are millions of dollars being charged monthly by these company on interest over a monthly payment of an annual fee because Bank One found the loop to force people into paying this.

I have had my Credit One card now for exactly one year. They only gave me a $500 line of credit and I have never missed a payment. I called a month ago to ask for a credit line increase as I knew I had a big car repair coming. The foreigner on the phone from some third-world country said I was denied and I would get a letter in the mail to tell me why. The letter came and indicated the only reason I DID not get the increase was because my account on this card was not yet one year old.

I called them and asked for a manager and I was told, "yes, you must wait until the 28th of the next month" and then I could get the increase. I waited and made the call but I made a mistake and called one day early. I was told, "it's ok, just call back tomorrow for your increase." I had at this point run the car bill up and promised to pay them at the end of this month when I got my increase. I had not run up any other bills and in fact my credit score had gone up. So I called back on the correct day and... was denied!!!

I asked again to speak to a manager and was told, "well uhhh we have no idea why you were denied. This is all done by a machine." I said, "who is in charge of that?" "We don't know," he said. I asked him if it was the Wizard of Oz!!! Why DID you guys lie to me last month with a letter and two times over the phone? "Uhhh I can't say," he said. Horrible, horrible company who will tell you whatever you want to hear until they have to live up to the lies and then they play dumb. Stay far, far away.

Honestly, this card was terrible. It just didn't work (despite having an available balance) in numerous places. When I opened the account, the card took over a month to arrive. The service sucks, but their customer service is a nightmare! I called to cancel my card within my one year grace period (after the year, you get an account fee of $99), and the account services representative was practically bribing me to stay with the company. She offered me $25 off my annual membership fee of $99, she offered me a lower APR, she even went as far as to tell me the cancellation would ruin any future job prospects.

After I passed on all the offers, her attitude took a complete 180. She was rude, snapping at me ("Well, if that's what you think is the smartest decision, then we're done with you."), and actually hung up on me after I turned down all her offers and requested a letter confirming the closure. I called them two days later (the day my membership was done for the year), and it was the same attitude. Credit One Bank representatives behave as if their lives are threatened if accounts are cancelled by consumers.

I wanted to verify that my balance was $0, and he confirmed TWICE that no new charges will be placed on the account. I said I used the card once in the month, so I might have interest charges in my account, and he, again, confirmed TWICE that no interest charges would be placed on my account in the near future. He confirmed that the account was closed, and that I would no longer have access to the Credit One Bank website within the next 24 hours. I, again, requested a letter from them.

Today, three days after my last conversation with the bank, I am STILL able to access my account online, and my account magically has a balance of $5.88. I called them to dispute this, and the account representative said this was placed on the account three days ago as an interest charge for the month. I reminded her that I spoke to another rep about possible interest charges the same exact day the supposed interest charges were added to my account, and he confirmed that no charges will be placed on my account. She, clearly stumped because I caught her in her BS, said "Well, this charge was placed on MIDNIGHT of that day, so he wouldn't have known about the charge unless you called us the next day." Side note: This is all happening almost a week after my monthly statement was received on my end. Any interest or usage charges would have already been apply to the account.

They eventually agreed to take the charge off my account, and that if I check online (on the website I wasn't even supposed to have access to anymore!), they'll see the amount waived by the bank. I asked, "Well, if I hadn't checked my account today, five days after I canceled it, and more than a week after all interest and usage charges should have been applied, my account would have held a balance and ultimately, gone to collections because I wouldn't have known about the balance?" She said "As I explained, the amount has been waived."

I told her that's not what I'm asking, I asked why I had absolutely no knowledge of the new account fees on my account, and what would have happened if I hadn't caught this on their website. Again, she said "As I explained, the amount has been waived by the bank, and should be reflected on your account in the next 24 hours." I asked the same question, and heard the call drop noise on my phone. I called back, and the call was dropped TWICE when I requested an account services representative!

So, to summarize, to cancel my Credit One Bank account, I've been hung up on four times, called three times to cancel, and been charged post-cancellation, even after I got a confirmation that my account wouldn't be charged by the bank. Stay away from this bank! They are trying to fool consumers by copying the Capital One logo. You'll have better luck and service getting the Capital One Platinum Secured card!

Customer Service is not processing my request to have a fax sent showing I have a zero balance to my mortgage company!!! I have had the worst experience with Credit One Bank. I am currently in the process of purchasing a home. So I paid all my credit cards in full... One of those cards is with Credit One Bank. I have been a wonderful customer to them since I have been with the company. Making on-time payments and asking them for nothing. So when I called in to request a letter be faxed to my mortgage company showing I had zero balance on the account, I didn't think I would run into any issues. But BOY DID I!?! I paid the account in full on Aug 13. I called to request a fax be sent to my mortgage company on Aug 18 at 1:12 pm ES... I spoke with a representative who told me the fax could be sent in 24-48 hours...

I asked to speak with a manager in order to try and get the statement e-mailed to me directly from a manager. He was of no help! He told me it would take 72 hours. I gave both the representative and the manager the fax number for my mortgage company. I thought the request was complete. So after 72 hours went by and still no fax was sent I called back Aug 24 at 1:49 pm EST and was told my request was canceled because I hung up. I disconnected the call after speaking with the representative and the manager giving both the name of the contact at my mortgage company and the fax number! I was beyond shocked finding this out! So I was told by the next rep that she would fax the statement and she advised that it would take another 72 hours!

Now this time while I waited I found a mystery charge for a dollar pop up on my account on Aug 25, 2015. I have not used this card since paying it off. Instead of fighting the charge I just made the $1 payment because I really have had my fill with speaking to the company! So today Aug 28, 2015 when I followed up with the mortgage company to verify that the fax had been sent again I was told no fax had been received! So I called back again today at 5:07pm. The rep then told me the fax wasn't sent because the account was not paid in full. I was beyond upset! My account has been paid in full since Aug 13! Until this mystery charge of $1 popped up on my account. A charge I thought came from the fax request! I haven't touched that card since paying it off. When I asked the representative where the charge came from, she was unable to tell me! She then again agreed to fax over a copy of the statement to my mortgage company!

She advised the fax wasn't sent because my account had a "balance" at the time of the request! Which is not the truth! The $1 was not applied to the account until the 25th! The request was added as of the 24th! She then told me it would take another 24-48 hours! This process has been beyond ridiculous! I have to have that fax before the 31st in order not to lose my home! I can't believe I'm on the verge of losing the funding for my home due to the unsavory business practices of Credit One! I have two credit cards with Capital One, and they were able to send me the same fax I'm requesting in less than two hours! This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with! To make matters that much worse! These acts are really affecting something I've been working towards for the past SEVEN YEARS. And it's hanging in the balance due to such an unprofessional company! I had a Credit One Bank card to repair my credit. I had it for at least 5 years and paid the balance off every month. If I was unable to completely pay off the balance, I at least tripled my payment to help re-build my credit. I was able to do so and opened a Rewards card at my bank with a high limit. I paid off the Credit One Bank card and had a zero balance... or so I thought. They changed my annual fee to be a "monthly fee" instead of an annual fee. Thinking I had a zero balance, I got a call from a representative that stated I had a late fee on my annual fee. They supposedly waived the late fee if I paid the annual fee which I did.

The following month I received another call saying that I had a late fee and that I now had a larger balance. They told me they would take off the late fees but again they charged the annual fee again. So, I asked about it and they said they were charging it monthly. I have never heard of this, but I asked them to close out my account as I had not used that card in months and if they were going to use these types of tactics, I wanted to closes it out to ensure I did not have any more late fees. They then put a late payment on my credit report for $18. I am so upset. When I sent them a dispute letter they rejected my request even though I had not used the card in almost a year. Do I have any recourse, as it has really put a hit on my credit report which I was working so hard to repair.

Nowhere on their website is there information regarding closing an account, at least I didn't find any, so you have to call them. They have limited business hours for which you can call and speak to a representative, which I guess shouldn't surprise me, but did.

When I told the "account specialist" I needed to close my account, she tried talking me into a lower interest rate and told me that it would negatively affect my credit score by doing so. I remained firm with her and politely declined, at which point she told me that she "did not respect my decision to do so". Then she gave me the talk again that my credit was going to reflect badly if I closed my account, and again told me that she "really did not respect my decision to do so". Who cares?! I can't believe they are trained to work that line into their script, and as far as I'm concerned that is highly unprofessional.

It took about 3-4 times of me remaining firm and saying that I needed to close the account before she said something to the effect of "Ok, fine. Your account's closed. Bye." Just like that! I had to catch her before she almost hung up to request some kind of confirmation that they would indeed do as I requested. I'm supposed to get a letter in the mail. I checked the account online now a few days later and I still see nothing regarding the account being closed, so it remains to be seen... I feel like they treat you rudely and unprofessionally if you ever try to close your account, so beware!

I am also aware of the payment taking 5 days before reflecting on my account and if I need credit faster there's a $10 fee. Remember that you're signing up for a credit card that is trying to help you out because of your credit score. They're taking a risk with giving you a line of credit so they have to secure some type of money right off the bat. If you don't like it then try applying to AMEX (which, after making my payments in time with this card, I was able to get). I don't this card much. But I still keep it open. This is a good card and I always make my payments on time and I've never EVER had a problem with them. Just remember that there is an annual fee.

I would have given zero stars but it made select one. I have been charged an ANNUAL FEE every month of $8.25. An annual fee is supposed to be a yearly fee not a monthly fee. That is what they are charging me and I'm sure other customers are being charged this fee wrongly. This card hasn't been used and I keep it for emergencies only! I got a statement today that my payment is past due. Impossible I think. I go online to my account and whammo there it is, my annual fee (I mean my monthly fee, of which I had no idea that I was even being charged). Ridiculous.

To top it off, when I made the first phone call, I went through to customer service and I spoke to someone not from this country... if you get my drift. Then in the midst of the call she said I'll be right back... Not! She hung up on me. Guess what, when I tried to call back they said that they couldn't take my call and hung up. Guess what, I tried to call again and again and same response. So being the smart person I am I decided to call from a different phone line. Whammo someone answered. Ha ha proved my intuition and I knew it would work!! But of course when I told them I didn't care what I had to pay to close my account they argued with me to try and remove fees, etc. Not happening.

They also only wanted a debit card number. DON'T GIVE THEM ONE! It’s a scam. Finally of course they took the number from a different card I have. It has a total limit of $450 for issues just like this one. And they won't have my personal banking info. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR DEBIT, BANKING INFORMATION - WHATEVER YOU DO! He said I called two days before and added a user to my account so they charged a fee. I asked him whose name I added and he said I had to tell them first. This never happened as my card is maxed out and I can't use it. They offered to increase my credit limit for a $24.99 fee! This credit card company is horrible and I don't trust them. Furthermore I closed the account, that's how bad this company is, even though it might lower my credit score.

As I am reading all the negative reviews on Credit One credit card I am a bit taken back. When YOU apply for the card either thru a mail offer you received or online application it VERY clearly states all the fees and interest rates in black and white. I read all kinds of complaints about the $9.95 they charge for express payment, which is also stated in their disclosures. They also state the fee of $6.95 if you want a designer card. Why would anyone wait till the last day or so to pay? This card is for people with bad credit so they are taking a risk on even giving it to you and then you want to complain of a fee for paying on the day it is due? You need to pay your bill when it is received. It's pretty clear that most people complaining on this probably should not have a credit card at all.

I find it quite amusing reading all of these negative comments about Credit One. First of all, of course there's going to be annual fees and higher interest involved. This credit card is helping you repair your credit, which you screwed up yourself. If you're getting offers for this card, good luck getting approved with a bigger name card that doesn't have an annual fee.

I accepted my first Credit One card almost a year ago with a $300 limit. It was quickly raised to $500 after 5 on time payments. Today, I received my second card from them. I am fully aware of the annual fees, and am okay with them because I put myself in this situation. I pay my card off a few days before the due date every month. In doing so, I avoid paying any interest. It's not that difficult folks. Since accepting my first card, my credit score has jumped almost 60 points in a little under a year. The annual fee becomes less of an issue when I think about that. I highly recommend this card to anybody who has enough sense to make your payments on time. :)

Calling me every day and sometimes just hanging up, no one speaks English well and finally got them to takes the fees and fines away and just don't use this card. They are horrible.

I call into their customer service and explain the problem and they tell me not to worry about it - look at it as a gift. Two days later I call back because my card had been charged for something I didn't do. I call in and they tell me about the charges at Walmart the day after the card was paid off. I hadn't used the card in over a month. I'm not getting angrier and angrier with the person on the other end and end up closing the account and telling to start a fraud investigation.

Three days later I call again to confirm the account had been closed. Four weeks later I get a notice in the mail that I owe $556.00. I pass it off knowing the account is supposed to be in an investigation. Now I am getting debt collectors calling me for the balance due. I call Credit One again completely enraged and the investigation was never started - the account wasn't closed and I can't understand a damn thing they're saying. They're still telling me I owe $556.00 and that they will start an investigation and will call me back. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS BANK. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. This is the ABSOLUTE worst credit company I've ever dealt with in my life and I have multiple accounts with other companies. My bill is always due on the 15th, which is when I choose to pay it online and that's never been an issue. The 15th of August I received a call saying that I owed on my account, which I already knew about and I told the woman that I was planning to pay it online that day (this was VERY early in the morning). The woman refused to let me off the phone until I agreed to make a payment. She asked for $25 but I knew the bill was $75 so she compromised and agreed to $50 (what reputable company even does that especially when I'm intending to pay $75+).

The following Friday they hit my credit report with a "delinquent" payment and my credit took a nice little plunge. I have never in my life had a "delinquent" payment on my credit report and these people won't even attempt to make it right. I have a letter stating that I made a payment on the 15th but they didn't withdraw from account until days later. They are also, refusing to remove the fee that they tacked on to my account because it was "delinquent". I've never dealt with such rude customer service and no one will admit that they are wrong or made a mistake. They answer the phones and get your card number then immediately ask "how much do you want to pay today?" not "how can I help you?" These people are a complete illegal mess.

I've taken to stating my intentions very clearly including that I understand any ramifications of a late payment but still they push. They misrepresent themselves, neglect to tell you that they will add processing fees to any payment made over the phone, prey on those trying to rebuild. They do not listen to their customers, they stick to their scripts to the extreme. One more payment and the account is closed.

I've been a Credit One customer since July 12, 2015 with an opening credit line of 300 dollars. I've made "large" payments but still haven't managed to pay off the entire. I'm a spender with three children and school coming up. I've managed to now have maxed the card out. I do enjoy making payments with this card with so many ways to pay and Credit One always updating and posting available funds and recent activity. They are an awesome company. No other card have I experienced such on time on point account service.

I was currently aggravated with being charged and return check fee of 25 bucks. I was getting ready to go upset but then I calmed down. Called customer service and spoke very calmly and nicely and told them that 25 dollars was a lot of money to a person struggling, that wants to keep the account open. What did Credit One do? My good "friends" at Credit One took off three of the 10 dollar fees that I paid to send them money and applied that to the 25 dollar overdraft I had which was more than the 25 returned check fee.

See everyone? If you speak nicely and calmly Credit One services and reps will come up with a plan of action to keep your account open without killing your pockets totally. I haven't had any credit limit increases but I'll will post once this card is paid in full hopefully. Fingers crossed. This week I'll be able to do it. Summer trips are done and school shopping is done so right now I'm good. Be patient and diligent everyone.

They transferred the balance that includes the fraudulent airfare to my new credit card number, now I can't prove that it even existed because it is lumped into the new balance. I'm informed they are working on it. I asked how did this happen that I have to give my last four digits of my social security number to their automated system, they say I must have given out that info.

Now they allowed the thieves to increase my credit in it for which they charged me $19.00 fee. I told them I did not want an increase and was informed that if I did not accept it, my credit would be over the limit for which there is, you guessed it, another fee and it would be reported to my credit bureaus. I have never been late, always paid more than the minimum and this is how they treat you. I can't wait to get rid of this card. I believe they are the ones that ripped me off for the airline charge to Nevada. Seems shady that they are located there as well. So I told the ** to cancel my account. She said "Okay it's closed." I said "Send me a verification email" she said "I did. It will take 20 min to arrive."

Never got the email - called back and told to cancel my ** account. She said they can't until I pay the 3 dollar remaining balance. I told her "I'll pay it over the phone with my debit card." I declined both options because I suspected that I had made a terrible mistake and began to research Credit One only to find over 1000 consumer complaints and counting.

I then figured I would go ahead and pay the balance using the $9.95 first option and submit my cancellation request. When I logged onto the Credit One website again a late fee of $25.00 had been added raising the balance to $100.00 on a card I had never used and only had in my possession for 3 weeks. Still I just wanted to pay the balance to avoid any further unnecessary debt. However, the site would not allow me to navigate to the payment features then after trying a few times I started receiving this message: "Sorry. Credit One online banking is unavailable at this time. Try again later." Something needs to be done to stop Credit One from these illegal practices.

Received a call while I am at work this morning from this card asking me to pay them at once... I said I already paid $25 thru mail but they insisted that I pay them $108! Then the girl who I initially I was talking to passed the phone to her alleged supervisor... Same thing - he insisted that I pay the whole amount. OMG. Would you believe my due date is still on the 21st of this month, and they are already asking for their money. So I ended up hanging up the phone because I am in the middle of my work.

So when I arrived home, I called them up. And after 5 tries, my call went thru. Well I complained to the person I talked to why they are doing it. I told him I paid $25 which was sent thru the mail and another $50 paid thru my online banking. And I told him I will pay the remaining $33 and right this minute you may close the account because I am not anymore interested with that credit card. I told him "why do you kept calling your customers any time of the day to demand to pay the whole amount when the due date is still in on the 21st?" Then he said "because we want you to maintain a good standing." Really? I told him I have another credit card but never they harassed me the way they are doing it. People working in that bank are so unprofessional! And yes I will post in all social media to inform everybody especially my friends not to avail this stupid credit card!!!

I'm fairly new to this card. I am absolutely astounded at how many reviews are blaming this company for their own financial irresponsibility. If you wait until the due date, you pay the express fee. That's your fault. The dashboard is extremely simple to use. You have two options: 1. Express pay $9.95 or 2. Free in 2 business days. What's the problem? Pay before the due date and it's free. Pay your bill in full every month, no interest. Most of these reviews are people complaining about late charges and the express fee. These are things solely under the power of the borrower.

I am thankful to have had a second chance after my ex-husband surprised me with a bankruptcy. This is a rebuilding card. You have to buy your credit back folks. You may have an American Express attitude but you are not entitled to an American Express which is why we are all here talking about this card. So after buying credit back, I anticipate qualifying for a better card, then a better card until I finally get my AE back.

Where do I begin? This is the first time I am so upset with a credit card company. I have multiple credit cards, I am always on time with my payments 100%. I have always had high credit scores for the past 7 yrs. I accepted this card thinking it was a card from the real bank CAPITAL ONE. When I realized it was not Capital One I called to cancel it and because I found out I have to pay a $75 yearly fee. I don't need a secured card because of my credit score being in the 700ds. When I call to cancel that's when they told me I have a balance from a couple of local shops. I never used the card. How is that possible?

They then said my card was stolen, ok obviously cuz I never used the card. So they said not to worry - I'm not responsible. They will credit the account for the unauthorized purchase. So I told them I didn't want the card because it's secured. I don't have a need for those cards cuz of my good credit standing for the past few years. They said as soon as they resolve the fraudulent transactions they would get back to me regarding me wanting the card cancelled.

2 weeks later I received a letter stating that I was credited the unauthorized transactions and the card now had the full amount originally given to me. I called again and told them to close the card cuz I did not need it. The agent advised that it was a very good card, they had credited my account and that I should not cancel it and I should activate the new replacement card. I took his advice and activated the new card. About two days later the collection dept called. I was puzzled and upset, they had never credited the account for the unauthorized transactions. They were lying in order for me to activate the card so they can mess up my credit score, because I said I did not need such a card given that I have really good credit.

They started harassing me with calls very early in the morning till late nights. I told them to please stop doing this to me. I told them how important my credit score was to me cuz I was saving to buy a house next year, telling them this was a big mistake. They are messing up my credit score at a rapid rate, they report to the credit reports that I am late for my payments, yet I did make any transactions on the card. After saying they had credited the unauthorized purchases on the card, they send me another letter totally different from the first one accusing me of theft. They say I have to pay the balance because the transactions were authorized. They later added new fictitious transactions, but I told them to stop lying cuz the replacement card was still in my possession so it's in my wallet therefore new transactions are lies. A few days later they sent another letter without the new mentioned fraudulent transactions.

THESE THIEVES are now reporting lies to the credit bureaus even after I have asked them to close the credit card. I would be lucky if they closed that card. They say you can go paperless but they are lying. When I tried to make an account online it refuses to let me login after making the account. YOU ARE DOOMED no matter what with this company, I don't know what to do with them. It was my plan to buy a house to be with my two kids this year but I am bound to get high interest rates because of Credit One messing up my credit report.

I suffer from depression. This has taken a toll on me emotionally. I wake up in the middle of the night unable to sleep because of this. I am a hard working single mom, I work very hard to have good credit and CREDIT ONE THIEVES have ruined my credit. I plan to dispute this with the credit bureaus. I don't know what I was thinking when I accepted this card. When I could not login to view my account online I called them about it, they said to use Internet Explorer and it would work. It's BS. It doesn't work with any browser.

I have read multiple complaints online about CREDIT ONE customers having the same login issues. They don't let you login so you don't have records of all the payments sent to them, that way they can say you were late multiple times, and mess up your credit score. This is the most hateful company I have ever come across. How can this country allow a company to abuse its citizens like CREDIT ONE is doing to us? I refuse to pay for transactions I did not make, FICTITIOUS TRANSACTIONS invented by CREDIT ONE. HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP!!! CREDIT ONE IS DESTROYING MY CREDIT!!!

This company needs to be shut down and made to pay a settlement for the way they are fraudulently abusing consumers. I thought they were Capital One so went ahead and signed up for the credit card. Everything was okay until I immediately opened my account to see how much credit I had been given and was very surprised to see that there was a 90.00 fee already added to the card. I knew right away that this was not Capital One, but Credit One Bank. So I decided to use the card and just pay it off immediately and close the account. I went to the website to pay on the card and my username and password no longer work. I called and they said that my account had been shut down. I asked why? She said maybe my browser was wrong or I needed to be on a laptop. I said that don't make sense because I am using a laptop.

She said "reset password and you should be able to use it." I reset password. Still saying my account is shut down. Call back. Man answers the phone and says that the reason that my account was shut down was because I tried to use the card on Amazon on July 20, 2015 and it was a fraudulent activity because they consider Amazon to be a fraudulent website. He lied to me. He said "I have taken the lock off of your account and you now have to reset your name and password." Tried to do that 5 or 6 times. Did not work. Called back. There is now a recording on that says that I can pay my bill using express payment for $9.95 or go online to use standard payment. However, they make sure to lock you out of your account so that you are unable to make a standard payment. They do this in order to make sure that you are unable to pay your bill on time and they can add more fees and to deliberately to mess up your credit.

The sad part is that they say that if you use their card that it can help reestablish your credit. That is a bold face lie. My bill is not due until August 6 so after reading reviews about this fraudulent company, I wanted to make sure that I was making a payment a week before the due date online. The company has now shut down my account so that I cannot make an online payment. How does this type of behavior continue to happen and these crooks do not go to jail. If I were to loan someone money and then make it were it was impossible to pay the money back without generating ridiculous fees, someone would be knocking on my door to take me to jail. It is pretty pathetic. However, I know in the end they will not get away with legally robbing people for their money. This needs to stop and this type of behavior should not even be considered business. What a shame!!!

I am working on building and upgrading my credit. I already have one card that I'm using very carefully to that end. Soon enough, I started getting offers in the mail, but I wasn't ready for another card yet. Last month, June 2015, I received an unsolicited offer from Credit One, although I didn't realize it at first because their logo looks quite similar to Capital One at a quick glance. I looked it over and still didn't want another card, so it went in the trash. You can imagine how irritated I was when two envelopes down I find a bill for the card for which I had just tossed the offer. That's right, the same day. Needless to say, after chuckling at their confidence or audacity in simply assuming their offer would be accepted, I tossed said bill in the trash. After all, I had never signed anything, nor been issued a card to have had an opportunity to use it.

Now, 29 July 2015, I get a bill saying that I owe them $1.34 interest on the unpaid $75 annual fee. Somebody has some explaining to do here. How can I possibly owe interest on a fee for a card which I never requested, applied for, or acknowledged in any way? Don't trust this company. I'm inclined to report them to the State AG.

I had a bad divorce (who really has a great one?) and had very bad credit afterwards. I received an offer from Credit One and really needed a card so I took it. A few years later I opened the account. I was over the limit and they called me at my workplace to collect. I NEVER SUPPLIED MY WORK PHONE NUMBER TO THEM. That call arrived today, and I have decided to pay it off and close the account ASAP.

While it helped short term for me (with bad credit), it is not an ideal solution. My advice -- take this credit card for no more than 3 years to rebuild credit, keeping in mind that their fees are VERY HIGH and their business methods are questionable. Once your credit is better, at least try for a secured card if available or apply for another card (check your credit score first). Also, if you have a bank account, make your payments to them online through your bank's bill pay as Credit One delays online payments through their website by 5 days (which means that the payment doesn't show as available credit for 5 full days), or they charge a fee to an expedited online payment on their website.

I was becoming very ill and had my mother make a payment online for me and she made the mistake and processing the payment on the Credit One's site instead of my online banking account to avoid late fee. My mother is not very mindful and did not check to make sure my banking information was correct and processed the payment twice as she forgot she did it the first time. Unfortunately for me it was on an account I haven't had for years and I notified this to the customer service representative. They understood that I no longer had that account from Chase and all I needed to do is mail them a copy of my current bank verification (included my savings account information) and it would take about 2 to 3 weeks to review and they would reopen my account.

I called after 3 weeks and they informed me that they did receive my bank verification, but could not open my account as they needed it for the account that I tried making the payment on to begin with. I explained the story once again and what the first customer service representative stated, she came back on the phone and told me I would have to send a certified letter stating my story in order for them to open my account. I asked to speak with a supervisor, it took about 45 minutes before I could speak with one and she came on the phone and apologise for the wait time and told me she reviewed my account and since I was a great customer she would give me the courtesy of reopening my account and it would take 2 to 3 business days. She also asked me to please update my banking information to make sure this would not happen in the future. I thanked her for her help, this was on Tuesday (7/21/2015).

On 7/25/2015 my account was still closed. I called back again and it started all over again. I went to the supervisor who told me that I would have to send in the bank verification on the old account. When I asked why did the other supervisor did not call me back to advise me this, he said they don't have to, they note the account. I asked to speak to his supervisor, the manager, the same story. My problem with all of this is there is no customer service anymore. They have wasted my time and the customer service representative are giving out the incorrect information over and over again. No one cares and they do not bother to correct the issue.

I am no longer going to fight to get my account open because I feel like they are just wasting my time and it will just be something else. If I would have just missed my payment and waited until the next month they would have just charged me with a late fee, but I was trying to do the right thing and make sure I made my payment on time. Never ever will I deal with Credit One, Capital One all they way. I have never been treated this way ever. Horrible customer service and they have no idea what they are talking about or what their protocol of their guidelines, so very sad.

The very day I received notification that my account was active, I realized that the credit limit that was established ($200 - $300) was much lower than what was advertised. Initially, when the account was established, a balance of $45 was charged against my account as an administration fee. I immediately called the bank, spoke with a customer service representative and insisted that the bank close my account and waive any and all fees that have or will be charged against the account. The representative attempted to defer the cancellation, but with my insistence, she assured me that the account had been cancelled and no fee will be charged against the account.

I made a payment July 18 2015 for the full amount 81.96. My bank paid them from checking account July 21th Credit One Bank has no record but contacted my bank for the payment and Citibank has proof that they accepted the money. Yet they say it was not done. Told to call back in 15 days. They will decide the problem then. Is that good service. They say it is my problem not theirs. Still they took the money and they are asking for full payment now. They have the money already. They wanted data update which I had to pay $25. I did it in good faith. That payment shows up in the records and have the payment. The first payment is somewhere? They refuse to check their records to solve the problem. They say it is my job and problem. VERY POOR SERVICE.

I received a Credit One credit card and I only used it one time. I have been billed every month since I received it. I tore up the credit card and sent it back to your Las Vegas, Nevada location but you all kept billing me. I have been assessed a fee EVERY month. According to my last statement I owe $604.19 from fees. No one from your company has contacted me to try to resolve my problem. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau about this situation. I will NEVER do business with Credit One Bank.

This company is ridiculous! They make you pay 10.00 to be able to make a same day payment to your account bill. I can't always pay in advance. Most of the time I have to wait until the actual due date of my bill to be able to make the monthly payment. When I try to pay with the regular payment service, it never or won't clear that same day even if you pay in the morning PST! Only credit card I have where you can't pay same day and have it credited to your account. I have closed my account and will never go back ever!

I'm up in the air about this card thus far. I understand the high fees and all and figure that if I use the card responsibly, it should help me rebuild my credit. The issue, however, is that I have not received the card as yet. I was approved for the card about a month and a half ago and was told that it would take seven to 10 business days for me to receive it. The card didn't come, so I called and they cancelled the first card and sent out a second card. They also updated my address so that instead of coming to my home, it would go to my PO Box. That was just about 10 days ago. Well, the card still isn't here.

I called today (22-July) and was told by the customer service agent that he could see in the notes where I requested that my address be updated but it actually wasn't changed. So, he updated the address and sent out a THIRD card (after cancelling the second one), this time with rush processing. They were going to charge me $19.99 for rush processing but he stated that he was going to waive the fee and the card should be here in three to five business days. So, if it's not here by next Thursday, I'm going to cancel the account as I was approved for a Capital One card... Oh, and I forgot to mention that last week, I got a bill for the $75 fee even though I haven't received the card yet.

They literally stole 570$ from my account! Each time I try to call to find out how they got this money out of my non-Credit One bank account, they hang up on me. I'm trying to recover the money via dispute with my bank. I never applied with them! I have no clue how they got my info or my money! Horrible criminal enterprise!

I called on the 20th advising Credit One that I would be 5 days late on my payment due to unexpected problems. I asked if they would be willing to waive the 25.00 late fee that would be incurred and she told me they could do that after I made my payment, since as of the 20th... no late payment had yet been added to my account. Yesterday, I received a call from the same number that appeared on my phone today only yesterday, when I answered the call... no one responded on the other end. Today, another call from that number and when I answered a representative from Credit One confirmed my name and then went on to say I was late on my payment. I told him I had called 2 days ago and told them I would be late on my payment and reiterated that the payment would be made on the 25th.

He said he would post date a payment and asked for my checking account number and I told him I did not know today which account the money would come out of and he got very pushy. I then told him that I wouldn't tolerate being harassed and that I had contacted them, that my payments were always on time and this was an exception and that they would hear from me on the 25th. He then told me he was sending my call to a supervisor and the conversation with this individual was the same with the first except that the supervisor told me I'd better make the payment on the 25th or they would send the matter to the escalation department.

This company is dishonest in its representation, otherwise I would not have ever opened an account with them. You find out after the account is opened how deceptive they are, even using Capital One's logo. Your open line is 400.00 but after you open the account you find they are charging a 75.00 fee which has already been taken from your credit line leaving you with 325.00. This is a company I would warn credit card seekers to steer away from. It's not worth what you'll go through in frustration! Plus... like most of the credit card companies, jobs have been given to Middle Eastern Indians who have very thick accents and are very difficult to understand, which is extremely frustrating. American consumers should expect more from these companies by hiring Americans who English can be clearly understood!

Credit One Bank spoke with my husband for me to be added to the account to make decisions. I called back and after being put on hold for 35 minutes they told me I needed to be power of attorney to make decisions on OUR account. They charge monthly if you don't use the account, yearly to have the account AND to have a credit increase. Worst of all I asked to speak with someone that speaks proper English so we can understand each other better. Being that this company is based in the USA you would think they would have someone that fits the American description, but they do not! Very frustrating. By far the worst credit card company EVER!

I checked online for reviews for Credit One tonight because when I checked Credit One's website, I am being charged a late fee and a payment I made online on their website doesn't even show that I made that payment. This is the second month that this has happened to me. And it just seemed fishy to me. Sure enough, I see that others have had this same kind of experience. I made payments on the same day to a few other of my credit cards and they have posted with no problem. I, like so many others, called in last month about my payment and talked to people with broken english. That was annoying!

What I also hate about this card, is whenever they do decide to receive an online payment, the money will be withdrawn from your account, but you still have to wait before it shows up on your card. I started rebuilding my credit with a card and have other cards, but I just wish that I didn't have to deal with this one. I don't like what I saw in the reviews and I know that I made those payments. I pay the majority of my bills online and this is the only company where there has been a problem with receiving and processing it.

I was sent an email saying my credit card may have been compromised and a new one was being sent. They cancelled the old card but mailed the new card to the incorrect address. When I went online to make my payment I had forgot my password but couldn't get a new one since I didn't have the new card number. I contacted them and explained I hadn't received the card and found out about the address error. They told me another card would be sent out and would have time to make payment.

Again they sent card to wrong address. I contacted them again to say I was concerned about payment being late. They assured me new card would be expedited to correct address, late fee cancelled and I could make payment when I had the card and account number. Three days after last call I received 5 rude calls by some jerk telling me the bank trusted me with the credit they gave so I should trust him and give him my bank information over the phone to make a payment of my balance on the card. I at first attempted to explain how I would love to make my payment online once I could, he continued calling me a deadbeat.

My credit card was declined when I tried to make an ATM withdrawal and cash advance from PNC Bank. I called Credit One to see what the problem was. I spoke to 3 customer service reps and a manager (Jennifer **) who nonchalantly told me that I would have to wait 24-48 hours for the issue to be corrected and someone would call me back to let me know the card was ready to be used again. When I asked what the issue was, I received different answers, one of them being that PNC Bank is a "risky merchant".

I was told that the "issue" would be resolved that night. I received no call back that day and attempted to use the card the following day for gas, the card was declined again. I spoke with a supervisor again told me that it would take another 24-48 hours for the issue to be resolved and promised that the issue would be resolved. Again I received no call back. I called again today and spoke to Rachelle who told me the issue still wasn't resolved and to "keep my phone line open"... I must say they have great perks for the consumer but their customer service and efficiency is COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY, especially from the supervisors.

Sub-par policy. Shut my account down after 2 payment cycles. There was a typographical error made when inputting my payment information. When I realized the payment didn't go through I re-entered the correct information before a late charge was assessed. Despite this, Credit One blocked online access to my account and accelerated my entire balance due without so much as a phone call. I only had the card 2 months so paying off the balance was the simplest remedy to have this company out of my life. They even have the nerve to continue to send offers! I would not recommend this product to anyone.

When I applied - I thought I was applying for Capital One since I get a lot of their pre-approval letters. I later received the response from the application that it wasn't approved because of an altered last name. Obviously if you give your social security.... they should be able to see that my married legal last name is **. I then called customer service and such HORRIBLE customer service!! I dealt with some poor customer service but these guys were beyond poor service. You call and you put in your SSN and postal code on your dial pad and then when Customer Care answered- he asked me again for my social when I thought I had already put that in. Told him why would they reject an application due to altered last name? He said they would leave it on file for further review when the letter clearly states that they can't approve my application at this time. That is when I noticed it wasn't Capital One since I had another letter from them in front of me.

I then setup an account immediately for Identity theft and reported them. I then decided to call again and again another idiot. He then asked me for my social security and I refused to give him that information and asked if I could give him the reservation number. I asked him when I had applied and how was the application processed and why was my application rejected - he started getting smart with me and giving me attitude. I told him that this is fraudulent and that I am reporting them. I have NEVER had an application rejected because there is an altered last name. Today I got another letter from them that I am pre-approved.
