While trying to apply for one of their Credit Cards I was declined because they had a credit card that was charged off. Called Credit One telling them that I never applied for a card before and that I was a victim of identity theft. First I was bounced around to several different departments (getting cut off every time that someone transfer me) then I was told that I had to get in contact with a collection company. After I called them again with a police report and other documents they refused to give me a fax number so I can submit my documents, then they refused to conduct an investigation to my identity theft claim. They are refusing to allow me to get a credit card based on charge off and they refused to updated their records.

I have had nothing but a bad experience with Credit One. I found hidden charges and just bad service period. After finding these hidden charges I figured I would just pay the card off and be done with them. When I called to pay off and cancel the card they tell me there is another thing for me to pay to do that. That's crazy. In order to pay my card off I have to pay them a fee to do that. Just another hidden fee from them. I strongly recommend that you do not mess with Credit One. If you do you will see more hidden charges than you have ever seen with any credit card company.

I am a new Credit One customer. I have yet to make a payment on my account but am not past due. I have already been receiving calls from a New York telephone number with some person asking me if I wanted to make a payment on my account though it isn't due yet. Naturally, I assumed this was some scam and that some con artist had got my account info or something. So I called the real customer service number to ask about whether this was legit or not. And apparently, it is! I think it unnecessary to be called on the phone by someone especially since there are far too many phone scams going about. I would not recommend Credit One to anyone. They seem to want to ride your ass.

I have been on phone for over 3 hours with these morons. They froze my account that has a limit of $300.00 & I recently paid them $159.99 that including the $9.95 fee to rush payment in which I had plenty of time to send in. I just figured it would be better just to pay the fee to ensure they got it. They got it alright then put the freeze on my account. They stating they needed to verify my accounts that I have paid them with. Ummm duh, you get my money, freeze my account & NOW I need to verify other accounts I have paid you with? UNFREAKINBELIEVABLE!!!

Yes, we ended up in 3 way calls to my other accounts & it was all verified they were my accounts but still not good enough. Then I told the foreign joke that I would just send CERTIFIED payment to them & close my account, that I have never been treat this way or like a criminal as I have this morning. He told me, "Ok but will still be a block on your card till we verify other info." I hung up! NEVER do business with these outsourced morons. I wished I would of checked them out better!!!

In Sept 2015 I called Credit 1, reported my card loss (lost purse). I never used card. Didn't realize it was a Credit 1 card. I was waiting for my new Capital 1 card. I spoke to an Oliver and he said there would be no charges till I received my replacement card and made a purchase. I never received the new card nor made a purchase. In Dec 2015 I see on my credit report a late past due amount. CI tried calling them to tell them I don't have the card -- never activated it. How can I owe on a card I don't have. How can they put late fees on my credit report on a card I never received? It needs to be corrected. I will never recommend Credit 1. Also they need to get English speaking representatives.

I accepted Credit One's "PRE-APPROVED OFFER" for a VISA card with an initial $300 limit (actually not much for a "Platinum" card like the others I have, but I was curious since I've read so many negative reviews about them). As stated in their agreement, there was a $75 initial fee, so the available credit was $225 which I've used regularly on a monthly basis... Paid the balance(s) in full monthly or always much more than the minimum(s) to save interest charges... I never do Express Pay, just standard payments that have always posted immediately and funds have ALWAYS been available in 3-4 business days...

Generally, I've had a very good experience with this card (e.g. "you get what you pay for" -- it's not like AMEX or Capital One cards, their interest rates are higher (though you can avoid them by paying the balance(s) in full each month) and the starting credit limits are much lower, but they report accurately and timely to the credit bureaus so that's helpful in having another source for positive credit scoring, right?). They do offer credit limit increases for a nominal fee, but my experience was I got the increase based on an excellent payment history -- for 9-10 months l ALWAYS paid on time and carried no or low balances and recently was rewarded with a significant credit limit increase just before the holidays, perfect timing!

I recently changed my name legally and have spent three months trying to get Credit One to change the name on my card and my account. Finally after a lot of back and forth, I had to put everything in writing three times. The response I received six weeks later was that my legal name is over the 21 character credit card via a letter and was told to send ANOTHER letter with a legal name under 21 characters including spaces. I called Credit One and was told they would change my name but only if I paid a $25 service fee. So Credit One will not change my name without me paying a fee and of course they won't issue a new card without me paying another fee. This credit card company are a bunch of ripoff artists. Is this even legal?

After applying for this card I read several negative reviews. I called to find out how to cancel my application to get just what I read online. A RUDE rep that I could not understand stating that the card had been shipped. Upon getting the card I waited close to 2 weeks before activating it. 1 week later I created an online account to determine that I had a payment due date in 24 hours. I called immediately to determine why I was being billed so soon. I was told my billing cycle starts the day the card ships not the day it's activated.

I was told that my payment date would be changed to start effective my activation date and updated in 24 to 48 hours to be bombarded with phone calls from the billing department for a payment. I spoke to 3 agents and a Supervisor and no ones information was the same. There was a late fee applied for $25 to my account and all I can get is apology for the agent giving misinformation. This Company is pathetic. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. And I recommend that everyone read reviews and take heed to the information provided. This Company is Horrible!!!

I have five credit cards. Four of my cards came automatically with the new chip-card. I had to call none of them but Credit One. When the call was made to request a new chip-card to replace the standard card I had, they told me it would cost $25.00 for the new card. None of my other cards had a charge for issuing me the new card. Citi Card, Merrick and Capital One were glad to send me out the updated chip-card free of charge and without a request. Why does Credit One force me to request the updated card and on top of that, attempt to charge me $25 for it? I told them not to send the new card.

After hanging up with them, I destroyed the card and have no interest in doing business with them any longer. I am now looking to transfer the balance on my Credit One to another card just so I don't support the company by allowing them to profit from my interest. I never did understand why I can make a phone payment on all my other cards at no charge and yet Credit One charges nine dollars and some change to do so. They charge me money to give them money!!! WTH!

I received a new credit card at the end of November from Credit One Bank. I'm trying to build my credit back up and this was an option that was presented to me. Upon receiving the card I activated it and the automated service told me it was ready to go. So I immediately took to shopping for the holidays. The card was declined at every turn. I since have been on the phone with this company over 5 separate times, and every time they told me that they would send in the paperwork and it would be activated in 48-72 hours. It never was. I finally had it. I called them to refund me my first payment of $25 for the $60 activation fee and to cancel the card. I basically was called a liar by the person on the other end of the line of the last time that I tried to use my card.

I told them that I wanted to speak to someone stateside and they told me that those offices were closed! This was at 10 AM MST on a Wednesday; obviously they're not closed! I ended the conversation by demanding my money back, the card be wiped clean, and the card to be cancelled. This other person told me that they would wipe it clean but not refund me my money. I'm completely done with this organization!

I got several pre-approval letters before finally accepting. After a month and a half of being a customer, called to ask why my online access was blocked, I spoke to a person in a foreign country and could barely understand him, he told me that I needed to send them copies of my DL and utility bills because my account needed to be verified. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the representative said that I was going to get the same answer that he gave me.

After 15 mins or so, I spoke to a supervisor and she told me that my personal info needed to be verified and I needed to send them copies of papers that they requested, even though I was never notified of all this, she threatened to put a hold on the card as well. Needless to say, account was closed and I told her that I would be calling back to pay off my balance. In the end, they lost a new customer, not only for them being rude but for lack of communication. I will not be doing business with this company again nor do I recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I have been a Credit One customer since 2012. I have never missed a payment, and have always paid early. Went to use my wife's card 2 days ago and found it was declined. We call up the company and they were rude to my wife when we were trying to find out what happened. They said I was behind. I told them I have never been behind and gave them every single date I paid them. I paid them on November 3rd for our 22 due date, and I paid them on November 25th for our December 22 due date.

They took both those payments and combined them for November instead of applying the second payment to December. They assessed a fee and shut our account off. Keep in mind they said we were late. By this time if we were late, which we were not, it was by 4 days! 4 days and they shut you down. They were unwilling to fix the problem, and still asked me for December payment. Unbelievable! Customer service was horrible, and people were rude. Don't do business with them.

I have had this card for about 2 years and all was not great but ok. I recently attempted to make a payment through an E-check but later realized that my securities account does not authorize E-check payments. I called Credit One and explained to them about the e-check payment. Then my spouse made the payment for me from her account. The payment cleared and a month later, I realized my account was suspended. I was told that they needed a letter regarding the initial payment and why it bounced. I repeatedly asked for a fax number and finally on my 3 or 4 call, I received one. I faxed my letter but did not hear anything from them. I called and was told they never received and could I fax. I again faxed the letter and two weeks later, I checked my account to find that it's still suspended.

I called and was told that the letter I faxed was the wrong letter and now they need another letter because the payment was made on my spouse's account which didn't have my name on it. However, they cleared the payment. If there was an issues with my name not being on the account, why would they have cleared the payment and not flagged the payment and perhaps contacted me. NOOO, they cleared the payment, suspended my account a month later. Three months later I'm still dealing with this issue and they still want to charge me the $9.99 phone fee. My payment history with this company has been stellar. I have major credit cards that we paid the same way using my spouse's account and not one of them has had an issue. This company is horrible and would not recommend them to anyone.

Since I'm dumb, I hit my credit limit of 300 dollars, which I'm trying to pay off, and I missed a few payments (yes I am an idiot for doing that), but now they call me AT LEAST 5 or 6 times A DAY on the week leading up to payment day. Even yesterday, they called me 6 times before 12 PM. It's borderline harassment! Plus their mobile app is horrible (it won't let me pay my bill or even view my account on my phone). I also looked where they were located, and found out that they're based out of Vegas, which leads me to believe that they try to attract people with gambling problems, so they can get rich while the gambler loses all his money. This company is just a scam! I don't even like to write reviews, but this company is so horrible, I signed up on this website just to give Credit One a bad review!!!

I was told in November I wouldnt have to pay a bill until January by two different customers service reps. I even questioned them and they assured me of it. Then I started getting calls saying I was late on my payment. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who I know, think is just another employee, and was told they dont know why I was told that. I can tell you why because my account even had a due date of 01/16 at one point. I ask did they keep calls on file and was told no, but it says calls may be recorded when you talk to the reps.

Had the card for three years and was treated like a bum when I was told something by their reps and I never had a late payment till then. I was hung up on, put on hold for long periods, lied too. One rep asked me my name and address 3 times in less than 5 minutes. I could really go on but whoever owns this company obviously doesn't care about this because I see its not just me. I applied for the card thinking it was Capital One, not Credit One. I am unfamiliar with this company and called shortly after realizing they were not the bank I thought they were. In hopes to cancel my application as I did not want the card. While my wait time was minimal, the representative that answered had such a thick accent, I could barely make out that his name was Marco. I explained that I wanted to cancel the application as I did not want the card. When he asked for the name on the application, I told him my married name, but the apparently had my maiden name on file. I explained that was not the name I used for the application, and he told me it didn't matter, that was the name on file and I couldn't use my married name. I then asked to get rid of the application and I didn't want the card, he gave me a bit of a hard time asking why didn't I want the card.

I explained I thought they were another bank, and that it was very misleading of them to use such a similar name and near identical logo. He told me he canceled my application and when I asked for confirmation that it was canceled whether by email or confirmation for the call, he told me there was no way to provide such information and that I shouldn't worry because it was a recorded line. I expressed that credit information is very sensitive and I have every right to ask for proof that the application was cancelled. He again told me it was cancelled and he couldn't give me a number. He was extremely rude during the whole call and I felt it's only right to let others know of such horrible practices.

I have never had this card declined nor have I ever had an issue with payment. I buy a money order and mail in my payment certified or Priority mail. I also make a PDF copy of the money order and payment slip. I also made sure each payment includes a note letting them know I have this proof of payment.

When I send my payment certified, it posts within a week. When sent via Priority flat rate, it posts in about 5 days. I also consider my due date to actually be a week before my ACTUAL due date to decrease the risk of a late payment. If you're smart, this card can be a good stepping stone to building/rebuilding your credit. Use only frequently enough to keep the card active. Pay via traceable mail with a money order. Record every payment. Then drop it around the 11 month mark if you've been able to move on to better cards. Your credit score may take a hit for dropping an older card, but you will be much better off in the long run.

They stated it may take 3-5 business days (could be 2 real time weeks) before the deposits are made. I called their Customer Service Center twice for an explanation, but they were very, very hard to understand. (English was definitely a second language.) The letter stated I could use a debit card or mail in my payments. It may be time to reevaluate keeping this account. It has helped me rebuild my credit, but I don't want to have to go through a hassle to pay them.

I received the offer for this card in the mail today so naturally the first thing I did was to vet it online. Funny thing I find about the consumer reviews: 99% of all the reviews on websites other than the Credit One site like this one are hesitant, tentative or downright negative about everything from fees to customer service. But on the Credit One website, the reviews are 99% positive. Now that tells me that either people who have negative experiences with Credit One don't go there to report them for one reason or another but rely on independent gripe boxes like this one or Credit One is selective in the reviews they publish. Adding a couple negative ones here and there to balance out their reviews and seem to be playing fair. They had a total of 1323 so that's a lot not to have more negative reviews show up.

On the other hand, there's a lot of negative experience here without too much positive. But this Consumer Affairs website has no side to choose so I'm deciding not to indulge in this card because I haven't talked to Credit One over the phone about all the claims, fees, restrictions, realities, fantasies, etc. I do have a card with the similarly-logoed Capital One and have had good experiences.

Please be very cautious as to never do business with this horrible company known as "Credit One Bank". The only thing this company has in Nevada is a P.O. Box. I feel obligated to protect the consumer and report DO NOT sign up for this VISA. I have decent credit, and never late with Merchant accounts and foolishly accepted Credit One's Visa offer. It's a loan shark business! I expect "Vinnie" to come knocking on my door ready to whack me if I refuse to continue this scam of a VISA card, it's truly that bad. If you get approved for $300 you really only have a $200 credit line and the first $100 will be charged at the time of your first purchase. They tell you they will charge $8.25 a month for the $75.00 annual fee, but then they take the initial $75.00 and additional fees for each proceeding transaction.

As a consumer you shouldn't be paying fees to spend your own hard earned money, but that is exactly what will happen should you use Credit One Visa. IT'S A SCAM! Even if you only make a $25.00 charge you will pay over $125.00 dollars on that initial purchase. Have had this card for OVER 7 years. I paid my balance in FULL in August 2015. Thought I was finished making payments unless I used the card again. Card has not been used since and it's December now. So back in October I thought let me check my account just to make sure everything was okay. Right off the back I noticed it said I had a past due balance. I'm thinking WTH. So I called to see what was going on.

They explained that I had missed a payment in September but how can that be if I paid the card off in August. They informed me that there was still a balance in September because month I get charged at annual fee and protection fee. Since I've had the account for so long I had forgotten that it was in the agreement. I told the rep I would just like to cancel the card mainly because the interest was so HIGH and it is dumb to charge extra fees when the card has a 0.00 balance. The rep told me "no no no we don't want you to do that. Let me transfer you to our account specialist to see if we can get those charges taken care of."

Talk to account specialist who I couldn't understand AT ALL!! Had to keep asking her to repeat herself. So in the end she told me that they would waive the late fees that got added on and take care of the the charges from the annual and protection fees, and my account would be at a 0.00 balance again. And I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED THE ANNUAL AND PROTECTION FEES UNLESS I USED THE CARD AGAIN which I never did. So in November I decided to check my account just to make sure that my account was in good standing. WTH!!! Now I have a balance of 82.00. So I give them a call. I explained what was going on and what should have happened on their side and never did.

So they decided to send my account over to another department and they told me it will take 48-72 hours but then my account should be back at the 0.00 balance. So this was Friday so I decided to give them until today which is Thursday. Checked my account online to see. STILL AT 82.00. Give them a call, rep informed me that the request had been DENIED. WTF. When was I going to receive some type of contact to let me know when it was denied??? And why was I lied to back in October??? I would have just cancelled this account in October if I knew I was going to get screwed. LIARS!!!

So the rep got EXTREMELY rude, "what do you want me to do??? Cancel the card???" I said "yes, cancel the card because I was lied to and now I'm being robbed." Rep said "ok it's cancelled. Is there anything else I can help you with??" Then hung up. Let me remind you I'm a very calm and polite person. I NEVER raised my voice and I was never rude. You think since I've been with them so long they could see that I've been a good customer. But I guess they just don't care. Oh well their loss and my mistake to think there still is honest companies in this world.

I am the type of person that would never take the time to write a review on a company, bank... but in this instance Credit One deserves my attention. First they never sent a bill. When I called 28 days later it was said my monthly billing cycle had incurred $50 dollar penalty! Which was waived after a 30 minute conversation! But with another fee to receive payment! Some odd reason, in very poorly spoken English the representative continued repeating the wrong balance after it was supposedly waived!

Of course it was repeated over and over that I was the one that was not receiving the info being communicated or the point that was being made! Then I gave all my contact info (email). Never received anything! After three weeks, went to their site, set up the account. Paid it off! Including the yearly fee that I was unaware of when signing up with a credit card company to try and help my credit score! Interesting, all indications on the site I was enrolled to make payments with my debit card (info taken in that 30 minute call). One click later $9.00 fee!!!

So I elected the Standard payment the next click, give me your checking info for a Standard payment! What!!! Now Credit One has all my debit/checking info. This makes me very uncomfortable! Lastly looking at their site, the email info area showed columns of how complex and detailed info I was receiving, the green light was on and the info was flowing. Hummm??? A few clicks later wow! All the info was turned off!!! I had to click and click and click till I checked every box! Click one box then another would open. Click... return to next notification. Click. Are you sure click again. Click. Click. Click. Did a lot of that and I hate DRAMA. IN MY OPINION! CREDIT ONE! DON'T DO IT!!!

Credit One receives 1 star because that is the lowest rating I can give. I had a zero balance on my card after transferring the balance to a card with a lower APR. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, I received a call from the collections department because of a balance past due. How could I have a balance past due when I paid off the account? I'll tell you how; they charge an 'annual' fee of $8.25 plus interest on the fee every month. I informed them that annual meant yearly and that they were charging me a MONTHLY fee. I then said that I wanted to close my account unless they waived the fee so the lady transferred me to another lady who tried explaining to me that the fee is what keeps the operation running.

I said, "That's **, the interest that I and other customers pay is what keeps you and everyone else paid." The lady said, "Fine, if that's what you want to believe," and then said "you know, we do report to all three credit bureaus and I will go ahead and close out your account." So I said "no, don't close my account, I will be reaching out to the BBB as well as the three credit bureaus and THEN I will close my account." Also, Credit One definitely outsources their support departments.

The absolute worst company that I have ever dealt with, period. I cut up this card to avoid additional spending and to pay it off after getting hit with fees for literally everything. Some fees including an annual fee that comes out monthly, a fee to get a new card, a fee to make a payment otherwise you have to wait 9 days to use your credit of that payment (seriously?!), an offer for an increase of credit but would still charge a fee and the list goes on!!! So, I recently lost my job and decided I would use the card again until I get back on my feet. I have been waiting over a month to receive this card! I was told it would take 7-10 business days. On the 10th day I requested they re-send (they said it was probably lost in the mail).

Around the 5th business day on the 2nd re-send I called to make sure they had the correct address on file. Turns out they did not so they cancelled the 2nd card and re-sent. A few days later I called to confirm they had the correct address on file. Unbelievably the address was STILL incorrect in the system!!! How is that even possible?? After I had an absolute fit on the phone the agent said he would rush ship it to me so I would have it in 3-5 business days. You’ve guessed it, I still haven't received the card so I call requesting more information. The agent told me it was sent via FedEx this time and provided me a tracking #.

So I call FedEx to check the status. FedEx tells me they have been attempting delivery at the incorrect address so I ask FedEx to update it. They are not allowed to change the address because it is a credit card but would be able to if the sender can update it. So I call Credit One yet again to request this of which a supervisor tells me they are unable to contact FedEx because they "don't have the phone number" and mailing address updates have to go through a "process". The supervisor then went on to blame me stating that I was the one who updated the address incorrectly (which clearly I called in and the associate typed in the incorrect number) but said he could mail it out yet again. I told him don't bother and hung up. What an exhausting ordeal. Please save yourself the headache.

Could this NOT have been declined in the very beginning at the time of application on their website BEFORE such sensitive verification information was required for them to "approve" the account?? I told them to cancel, after fighting with them for over a week. So now they’re wanting $50 instead of $25. I said "no I won't make but $25." They said "no has to be $50." They wanted my bank account numbers or pay them $25. Since I don't deal in checks, all my business is done through my bank when I go to pay bills, but I was getting one of those prepaid to do business with this company. So they didn't take my $25 for first payment, now they say unless I give them my bank account info that I have to pay by check. They have run a bill up to $419, all fees. It sounds like they are outsourcing from India (because every time I talk to them they have an Indian accent) and I can barely understand their English. They are rude, and pushy! There is a $9 fee to pay by debit card online and over the phone! I thought I had read all the fine print before getting this card and read nothing about the $75 yearly fee! I have never owned a credit card with a yearly fee. That's what interest is paying the lender for lending you money.

Also I asked to be transferred to speak with someone about the online billing and payment. The rude man I was talking simply put me on HOLD and then answered as if he was someone different! I recognized his voice immediately and was completely speechless! Don't get this card no matter how appealing or how much you need the money!!! It's not worth it. They are completely unprofessional.

I received the Credit One card in April. I called to activate the card as soon as I received it. In May, I needed to make a payment to my doctor. His biller took the card number and asked if I wanted a confirmation number and I said "no, that's OK" (never do that). I had changed my phone number but my doctor's office had it. Finally some months later, I called my doctor's office to make an appointment and found out not only was I not a patient anymore, my account went to collections! I was livid with the biller. She said my card had been declined and she couldn't get in contact with me even though she had my home and email address. I have never had a biller of any company call me back to say, "oops, the card was declined." I still don't know why the card was declined but I lost my doctor. I cannot access my online account.

There is a message saying it was suspended. When I call, I have been told the issue was fixed, only to find out that isn't true. When I call I have received a message saying there is no one there to take my call, then I get disconnected. Late payments do get you receiving dozens of calls a day. Then you get to talk to a foreigner who sounds like a pimp. I'm done with them. I hope they get shut down. I paid $100 (my minimum was only $25) over the internet. After about 7 days I noticed it didn't come out of my account, so I called to see why and they told me that they hadn't received payment because the number I put in was one digit short. Now, when I did it, it posted the payment and led me to believe everything was cool (most systems would let you know if you didn't put the number in right), it didn't, because I didn't. Anyway, the lady told me to make another payment now, and I did but told her I shouldn't be charged a late fee because I was now paying after the due date, but I had originally paid before the due date. She guaranteed me that she would waive any late fees. Don't you know that I got a late fee, then today the account is closed.

Now a few months ago I had made a payment online and didn't realize until a few weeks later that the payment didn't go through and they had closed the account. So they had me send a letter about my bank account info (had to mail letter), took a month, had to pay off the balance in full and then a month later they opened the account back up. The reason I even called this time was to make sure that didn't happen again and I'm in the same position. They don't speak English and I'm feeling like paying online is a scam because both times I paid online and I'm sure I put the info in. DON'T EVER USE THIS CARD! I am cancelling asap!!!

I got in touch with this agent who was very rude and just brushed me off saying that my application was processing and I need it to wait. I then called back into the second week to check on it again and with the same exact voice answered the phone and told me the same exact thing. Just today I decided to call again to find out why haven't I been contacted if they need it identity verification.

When I called I spoke to a lady who told me that they needed me to mail them a copy of my ID and social security card to a P.O. box. What bank is doing business through a P.O. box? I then call back and ask the next agent if he can give me some information about the bank because I was not so sure that it was legitimate given the fact that I was given a P.O. box to mail important documents to. He's gathered my information and told me, "Oh your application has been declined." I said, "What do you mean? I just talked to someone who told me that it was still processing." He said, "It just came through as declined but you can apply again in 3 months." I told him I will not be reapplying again because I don't believe that this is a real credit card company.

I asked why it would have been closed immediately after receiving an email saying I had 2 attempts, but he couldn't give me an answer. Then he proceeded to tell me that I entered my checking account information wrong and that was why it didn't go through. I explained that I had just verified it, and I had indeed entered it correctly. I am an accountant for a living, so I deal with numbers all day long and know how to verify! They do not listen or give any ** about what you're trying to say. They simply wait until you're done speaking and then read something completely irrelevant to the conversation off the piece of paper in front of them.

FINALLY, if you're lucky enough you'll get transferred to the "supervisor". Now the supervisors at least made it through high school and got a G.E.D!!! After pretending like they want to help and actually understand what you're saying, they will come up with a solution to the problem... Two weeks later, you find out they forgot to fix the solution, really just ignored everything you said while playing tetris on their computers and now it'll be your fault that they ** up again. If I call with an issue they are very unprofessional. I have been yelled at and talked down to by employees. I have called multiple times to try and figure out my online stuff and have been told several different things. They harass you if you are late on a payment, but won't make things right so I can have an easier way to pay my bills and track everything. When I pay this company off I will close my account and never go through Credit One again. I plan on sticking with Capital One who works with you and solves every issues I have with no problem.

I accepted it because Credit One Bank terms are that the $75 first year annual fee will be deducted from the $400 upon receipt of the first statement. And this is a lie. I have made no purchase yet, and received a statement asking me to pay for the $75 annual fee and the bank also charged a $25 late fee and in addition a $1.04 interest fee!!! Total $101.04 they claim I owe. This company is out to get you. No integrity whatsoever! I will not use their card. Moving on and away from their disgusting practices. Representative started off great and tried waiving $25 then $50 dollars off annual fee if I just agreed to keep the card. I told her I just wanted to cancel after reading all the bad reviews (the worst on any credit card I have seen). Then became angry at me for not keeping it a couple days to think about it. At this point I completely stayed pleasant and repeated to please cancel my card. She then gave me cancellation number and Representative said nothing more for me to do. For example, lost and get the new card - $25, increase credit limit which I always say no when it pop up online but they increase by themselves and charge you a fee, annual fee, late fee. All are overcharges that other credit cards do not have. Do not fall for this. Do not apply for this card. I never had a problem. All my transactions went through. They plainly state all fees. If you ask for a CLI and get it, they will charge you. If they give you a CLI without requesting it, they don't charge you. The annual fee is in bold print along with all other fees. If you use your bank's bill pay, your account will be credited the day after you scheduled the bill to be paid. Example my bill is due on the 30th, I schedule my bill pay on the 15th of each month. My bank sends it on the 15th to be received the 17th. Well when I check on the 17th my credit one payment was always posted on the 16th. And I paid my account off 2 weeks ago and closed my account because on Oct. 29th 2015 would be my 1 year with them and I wasn't going to pay $8.50 a month for the next year.

When I called to cancel my account the rep asked why and I said I didn't need it anymore. She said since my balance was 0 it would its closed effectively now. 10 days later I received my letter stating I requested my account to be closed. I do know that I will get a statement for interest owed. When you pay off a balance that is being charged interest your next statement will have an interest charge.

The POPE was in New York and I lost my wallet, I contacted all my credit card companies Chase/Amex/Citi. All of them overnighted me a new card, now CREDIT ONE BANK is a nightmare. I called them in August 2015 to explain what happened, was told a replacement card would cost me $25. I ** really that's unheard of and it would take 10-19 business days to get to me. After 2 hours of ** with 10 different reps none whom spoke English I finally got a woman named Tiffany on the phone from Collections Dept to tell me, she'll get it mailed out to and no one here knows what they are doing, they are instructed to transfer the call to a (phone pool) which just circulates the call to anyone available. Finally some closure, so I thought.

Fast forward to today 10/27/2015 nothing yet so pick up the phone only to speak to a nice Filipino lady TELLING ME THERE'S NO RECORDS OF MY CALL, like she's reading from a script. "Do you want me to put in a order for a new card yes or no?" "Yes." "Ok there is a fee of $9.95 for this service and you will receive the card in 10-19 business days." "Ok, well I want it rush delivery." Her "Do you want me to put the account into rush status?" "Yes," I answer. "That will be $99 fee for rush delivery, + 9.95 for the card." "Ok ok, just send it. Who is the carrier is it FedEx, UPS, USPS?" "WE CAN'T TELL YOU THAT." Ok, rush delivery is 4-5 days not overnight??? "Ok can I get a confirmation number or an email confirmation?" "Hold on I will get my supervisor."

10,15 minutes goes by. "I'm sorry we don't do that, give confirmation numbers, is there anything else I can help you with?" Sure there is, "What is my current balance on my credit card, it should be $0 I paid it all in full." "May I have your card number?" "Well you were just working on the card." "No that was someone else." "No you were. How did you know about the confirmation number?" "Hold on wait." 2 minute. "Hello Sir, the representative does not understand what you are asking." "I asked for my balance, she was working on my account." "We don't have that information here"... and they HUNG UP.

Here's my response: filed FTC gov complaint # **. We can all ** about this bank but if you don't file a FTC complaint there's not good outcome. For us, fine I'll keep the account open cause closing it will hurt my FICO score and use it in emergencies only. The representatives work on a VPN network, so you're always going to get someone from India or the Philippines. There are no English speaking reps or reps in the USA. You can write them in Nevada, but they don't respond. There is no email address to send an email to. My advice is if you have a complaint file the FTC gov complaint against a consumer company, don't close the account cause they report to Experian who holds negative information for 10 years and closing an account is a negative. This was a mistake a lot of us made. Seeking credit, you're better off with Capital One card.

It's an easy mistake to make and one they do on purpose. I'm surprised Capital One hasn't sued them yet...anyways, I DID pay close attention the other offer and nowhere did it say there was an annual fee.

When I received my card nowhere did the paperwork mention an annual fee so I was really surprised to learn that on a $300 credit limit they charged me a whopping $75 fee to use the card. That's a 25% fee, which is higher than their interest rate! Then I started reading the reviews - which I should have done from the beginning, but like I said I thought it was from a trusted company. I'm going to pay off my balance and cancel the card just because I think if they are sneaky enough to use someone else's logo and hide an annual fee, then they are sneaky enough to do other things that cause problems for my bank account. I will start by saying my husband and I have had Credit One for over a year. We have had multiple credit line increases. I know the interest is high and the annual fee is crap, but we needed an additional line of credit to rebuild our credit. We have never had any issues with them. We always pay well over the minimum amount due and have never paid late. Yesterday I took my kids shopping. I decided to use Credit One card. A $7.33 charge was declined. I thought it had to be the machine at the store. I paid for my purchase another way and left. I logged into the Credit One account as soon as I got out of the store only to find I had $1 available. I looked at the pending transactions and there were multiple charges that had occurred the previous day in another state.

Since my husband is the primary account holder, he had to call them. When he called, he was told that since we both physically had our cards, there was no way someone else could be using it. The guy he spoke to was rude and was determined we made all the charges. My husband called back several times until he found a representative he could somewhat understand. This person said they would send an affidavit for us to fill out listing the charges we did not do and that our cards were canceled and new ones were being sent out.

This morning I try to get into the account to print a screenshot of the charges only to find out our entire account has been froze and we cannot get into the account online. It looks like this is going to be a battle and our credit is going to be ruined over this because I am not paying charges I didn't make. You would think a card that rarely gets used all of a sudden gets maxed out in one day there would be some type of red flag. I have another account with a different bank that had 2 fraudulent charges and they red flagged it immediately and called, emailed, and sent me a text to alert me. Once this is all settled, the account will be closed.

Like for what reason do you think you can bully me on paying my account when I'm a day late, and haven't been late before?

No one there can take a complaint it seems because they have no option. She was rude and a total bully. I understand I needed to pay but they had already called me 2x so I called back because they weren't leaving messages and I was in the middle of coming home from a long day at work. I wasn't refusing to pay, I just didn't know if I wanted my primary account to be used. Before they would call me before my due date (weeks in advance) asking for payment. Scavengers. I have to review because I know a lot of negative feedback always gets put out there more than positive feedback... But I don't believe all the bad reviews out there for this credit card, simply because I have had nothing but a smooth, simply great experience with this line of credit and their customer service. I have moved recently, and all I had to do to update my address was simply get online to my online account, and change my address in my profile. As I was logging in to do so, prompts came up, saying I was eligible for a credit increase, and to accept all I had to do was simply follow the prompt to accept my line of credit increase.

Their website is the easiest, most efficient business website I have probably ever dealt with. It's always up to date, simple to navigate and do anything you would need to do with your account; make a payment, accept offers, and update your account at any time. My card was received a month or so before my old card expired, and payments post quicker than my other credit cards. I also have forgotten my payment a time or two, and I wasn't even charged that horrible late fee like all my other credit cards. Fees are fees and theirs are reasonable. They also are great at communicating, through prompts on their website, telling you what new perks they offer like their percentage back for purchasing gas with your Credit One card. All in all I completely recommend their services and I am happy with their product.

The account was in my husband's name, and me an authorized user. The suppose customer service rep, was very rude, and I tried to explain that I was trying to make a payment, but he stated that he couldn't take the payment from me. It had to come from my husband. Stated he needed to speak to him.

I stated I was only making a payment and that I didn't want to take any money. I had all of the information I needed to make the payment. He then took the payment, and would not give me a confirmation number. I think that these people that are working your call center is losing you a lot of business. They are extremely rude, and uneducated about what they are doing. I turned this over to Consumer Affairs, because it is not that important to bill my credit, if I have to deal with those people. I received Credit One's offer in the mail, READ ALL OF THE INCLUDED INFO AND DISCLOSURES, and decided to sign/return the acceptance form. Due to being diagnosed with a serious, progressive disease, I became unable to work after a time and my new financial reality included losing my house to foreclosure and wrecking my credit. I've adjusted and have been slowly building it back. I really needed a credit card for travel because I often need to go out of my area for surgery and treatment. I've had this card for a few months. Yeah, the interest rate (19 percent) is high but have you looked at the rate for some store credit cards? They're about 24 percent, too. I'm not thrilled with the "hard sell" aspects and fees for everything, like the push for the additional user and special design card. I ignore it. The expedited payment fee of $9.95 is too high, I think.

But everything else has been just as written in the mailing I received. It clearly states that there is an annual fee and what that fee is -- and that it reduces your credit limit. I don't understand from the reviews here why many people seem to be so shocked by that, don't pay it, and then complain when they're hit with late fees for not paying it. I paid that, on time, when I received my statement and they increased my credit limit by $150 a few weeks later without my requesting it. On the website, it also clearly states that if you make a regular online payment, it can take several days to be reflected in your available credit and it gives you the time by which the payment has to be made to be credited that day. Again, I haven't had a problem with this even though I made one payment the day it was due. It was before the time given and posted to my account that day.

Are the terms of this card great? No. This company is in business to make money primarily from people who need credit but don't have many or any good options. But I'm relieved to have a credit card I can use for car rentals and hotel deposits -- things you can't do with cash or a debit card anymore -- so I'll pay the annual fee and keep a close eye on everything else to avoid getting dinged for other fees. And this should help rebuild my credit.

The stories of unauthorized charges and payments being taken from people's bank accounts have startled me so I will be keeping watch. Thankfully, my regular bank has an excellent fraud protection and alert department. But some of the other complaints I've read were very much about things that were clearly stated in the disclosures or on the website. Especially the annual fee. Just because you chose not to read everything before you signed the paper agreeing to open the account doesn't mean you're not held to the policies and terms. Customer "service" sounds horrific. I really hope I can just continue to do my thing without issues and not need them. I guess time will tell.

I had applied for a Credit One Bank Card, they gave me $500. Fine. I purchased a few items. Made two payments which were over the minimum due. Received confirmation numbers. Bank account was withdrawn. For a period of two months I received harassing phone calls from the company from various states in the US, all Indian representatives telling me the card was never paid, I owed fees and I was to pay it at once. When I protested I was yelled at and threatened. I ended up calling the company paying the full amount and closing the card altogether with an assortment of threats of my own to let them know I was not to be harassed and that I was reporting them to the BBB and Consumer Affairs.

These people stole over $100 from me. DO NOT GET A CARD FROM THEM - THEY ARE A SCAM. I NEVER activated the card because of some health issues and the passing of my sister. I received a statement in the mail from the bank, charging me an annual fee of $75.00 and some premium design fee of $8.95. So I got on the phone for 4 hours straight, trying to talk to someone in the United States. IMPOSSIBLE. All calls go directly to India.

NEVER trust a company that you can't speak to someone in the United States. Lucky for me. I live in Nevada, where their main headquarters are located. I shredded the card, filed a complaint with the BBB and will mail the card back to the Nevada office. Credit One Bank SHOULD be SHUT DOWN. Received a Visa card -- within 4 weeks, I have 3 charges to gas stations in the L.A. area that I did not make. $90 - $95 - $95 charged to my card within 3 days.

Called customer service (that term does not apply in this case). I discovered that (a) that department is in New Delhi, India, and the only address is a P.O. Box in Las Vegas. Nothing is more frustration to men than try to talk to someone on the telephone, whose English is so poor that I cannot understand them. I question that this company is even an American based company. Actually, this looks like a huge scam to me. Yes, Credit One has paid the business where I made charges. However, I had $36 available credit when the $90 - $95 - $95 were presented for payment to Credit One. All these charges should have been denied and they were not. They assume that because I want to protect my credit rating that I will pay these?? Hah - NOT!!!

I have now received an affidavit of fraud and forgery form to fill out and attach a, "Identity Theft Report " from my local police department. Ha!!! Yeah, right !!!

Very suspicion business activities!!! My suggestion to everyone who has had a bad experience with Credit One, whether you have received satisfaction or not is to file a complaint with your states Attorney General Office. Online - search for (your state) Attorney General's Office. Mine is California Attorney General's Office, Department of Justice. On their site, look for Complaint Forms - complaint against a business. This puts Credit One on notice and there is a file started. If the state gets enough complaints, they will take action.

I've had the Credit One Bank Visa for just a month and I'm sorry I ever signed up! They misled me to believe I was signing up for a Capital One Visa! Same logo, wordage, etc. I just didn't look closely enough when signing up. I got an initial credit line of $300. When my due date arrived, I attempted to sign in to the account to pay my bill. Upon doing so, at approximately 7PM, I noticed a late charge of $25 dollars was assessed to my account, even though it wouldn't officially be late until 5 hours later. I attempted to pay the bill anyway and was unsuccessful until the following day.

That morning, I was bombarded by calls from the collection department demanding payment, even though I had paid the entire amount owed, including the late fee and an express payment fee of $9.95! The gentleman on the other end of the phone was very rude, and because of his very thick accent, he didn't understand that I had already paid online. Long story short, by paying the express payment of $9.95, the website clearly states that those funds would be available the next business day, Friday.

Today is Saturday, the automated system says the funds have been received and I have an available balance of $66! The balance would not be available for 7 days! I eventually found the number to call customer service and I spoke to another gentleman with a very thick foreign accent. He stated yes indeed the payment posted on Thursday, but the funds wouldn't be available until the following Thursday! He did say $100 would be available on my account, but when I asked why only $66 was showing as available, he couldn't provide an answer! He kept telling me it was my mistake and all he could do was refund the $9.95! No mention of the funds being available or the late fee being refunded!

My guess is that they are sitting on my funds for a week to make a few dollars in interest on my behalf. Why else would they hold funds for 7 days?! Do this with a million customers and you'll see how they make their money! I should have listened to the reviews and stayed far away from this crooked company! I'd like to contact the Nevada consumer affairs division and file a complaint! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!

So, if you pay online right before the due day, it will be about a week later before you realize it didn't go through. Then they start charging fees, late charges etc. If you do call India for the customer no-service, they say, "Call your bank, call your bank!" Overall I would rate this a scam. Legal, but a scam. My advice, make copies of the statements and snail mail all your payments. Yes, mail via the USPS. That is only way they will post your funds. Then when you have a zero balance, it will take a while. Then close the account IMMEDIATELY and walk away.

Guess what I was given the same person after 6 separate phone calls who stated they were the supervisor, Terry was the name provided.

I received a statement in the mail stating I owed Credit One Bank money. I did not have business with Credit One Bank. I throw out credit card offers. I begin receiving calls in late July, early August from a loud background call center in India, with poor English speaking, hard to understand representatives attempting to collect on an account I never opened. They claim I opened a Visa in mid July of 2015, that I owed them a $75 annual fee and already am late on that charge, have a $25 late fee and am accumulating interest at almost usury rates of 24%!! I asked them how much they claim I owed. They claim I owed for purchases in actual purchases but with fees and late charges my balance was up to close to $300! I told them that I would never sign up for a credit card at that interest rate, nor have I ever had a credit card with an "annual fee" since I know better. The representative demanded I make payment as if he didn't hear a word I said.

I don't know what I am going to do about getting Credit One Bank off my credit report now. What a mess this is going to cause for years to come I am sure, affecting my ability to borrow. I currently owe nothing to creditors period. I am in the middle of a bankruptcy 13 and so it makes no sense to me I would even qualify for credit at this time. Clearly, the government needs to step in and shut this damn bank down altogether. I am so angry that while I had reorganized my debt in 2012 with a BK13, I was really on my way to clean up my credit by keeping myself clean of any consumer debt - a plan I have been on for over three years now. This is a crushing blow to know I am a victim of fraud affecting a huge long term goal. What a shame. Credit One Bank is such a predator!

Not to send a bill or an e-mail notice or text or anything? And then charge $25 on a late $25 payment??? I am sorry I got this card and I used it. When it's paid off I am taking the scissors to it.

So I asked them to please reverse those charges. Told them I was never informed of those charges. They told me it's in that small print that they mailed out, you know the paragraph or so that you have to squint your eyes to read it? Yeah there!!! I was under my $400 credit limit and stopped paying them. Now here I am working full time for me and my family and it is 2015 and they have processed a wage garnishment on me for a balance of $1,200!!! Wtf??? Do not get this card. COMPLETE SCAM AND THE MOST HORRIBLE CARD I EVER USED. WORST FEES AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This company should be shut down.

Paid entire balance on card off with a rush payment that I spent an extra $9.95 to process. A week later I notice that the entire amount has come out of my bank account but only part of it was applied to my credit card balance. I call them and they inform me that when making a rush payment to use my debit card rather than bank account info. to make the payment or it applies the payment in 2 separate but smaller increments. Truth be told I didn't need the funds on the card immediately. I just wanted to pay off the card then use it then pay it off and repeat as necessary.

What kind of credit card company does not post your entire payment at once? The whole idea when you pay is to have that amount go toward the bill. Don't waste your money on the fast pay option. Regular pay option saves you $9.95 and posts in 4 days anyway. This is going on 2 weeks and the balance is still not paid off on my card even though it has come out of my account.

I checked my bank info and did not see anything wrong but thought maybe I did not have enough money in the bank account I used when I made payment so I changed to another account that I knew had the money and made payment again. The payment once again bounced. They have now blocked me from accessing my account online. I called to find out about this and I could not understand the customer service person. Not cool!

I refuse to pay for this ** so I called the 1 800 number and get a person from India. I cannot understand their language. I told them to cancel account. I agree with every review that I have read in regards to the poor language barrier. I tried to SIMPLY close my account specifically because I went on medical leave and they were unwilling to assist me until I returned to work. My other credit card companies were more than gracious to assist me since I have such good report. Credit One stated that they cannot help me and that I would have to contact my local judicial system which I've never heard of in my life! Most of us are lured into this credit card company because we're trying to rebuild our credit and in my opinion I have had very good results with Capital One Bank. So my suggestion for all of you reading these reviews is to don't waste your time in dealing with Credit One.

So we recently had to move, which as many of us know, can be quite expensive. We had ALWAYS made payments on time but due to the move we fell behind. I called at the beginning of September when finances allowed and explained the situation to customer service. I ask could we have some time to catch up due to the circumstances and was shocked when I told that I could. I made a payment and said I would call back between the 8th and the 11th of September to make another.

Well their rude customer service rep named Rose was on a totally different page. They used a 510 area code to call me, which is the area code of my number. I tried explaining to the "super smart" CSR the moving situation and that I already called and made payment arrangements. Rose said "ma'am, we don't offer payment plans. The reason I am calling is to set up payment arrangements"... SERIOUSLY??? Is that NOT the same thing. She kept saying I could give her a checking account number, I said no. She asked for a family or friends account, I said no. All the while I am at work trying to keep it together. She asked how was I paying the payment on Friday and why did I fall behind. OMG.

I asked her if she has ever moved before, she said no. So I explained to her slow ** that there are things called moving expenses, rent, deposit, moving trucks... etc. and that I would send it in. I told her I wasn't answering anymore personal questions, the payment will be mailed and hung up on her. People in customer service... don't forget that one day you may be in a difficult situation and I hope someone treats you the same as you treat your customers and consumers. I will be paying off both our balances and cancelling this crappy card.

Once I was informed of my due date I became frustrated because my due date is not for another week. Not only were they rude but they did not speak English well enough to understand what my concern/issue was. Their main concern was DEMANDING a payment. After escalating the call to a supervisor I got told to be quiet and listen to what they had to say. I have never received such terrible customer service in my life and there is no reason a card member should be treated in that fashion.

About 2 months ago I was informed, via email, by Credit One Bank that my card had been compromised and so they were closing down the original account and opening a new account. This would mean I should expect to receive a new card in the mail within 7 - 10 days. When I checked my account the next day, the new account had already been set up and all balances and pending charges had been transferred over to the new account - less than 24 hours after I had received the original email. This is important to note. Almost 3 weeks later, just as I was about to go out of town, I received the new card. Since the trip was both for business and pleasure I put the card in the back of the wallet and continued on my trip.

When I got back, I arranged to get a Debt consolidation loan so I could pay off this card as well as several other cards that were high on my "frustration" list. I went online to my bank's bill pay section and had the money electronically sent to Credit One, well before my due date. Imagine my surprise when I received an email saying I was "Past Due" for my payment and "overlimit" as well!

I called to find out what was going on and was met by someone with a thick East Indian accent claiming their name was "Michael" and saying it was my fault because my bank had sent it to the closed account. They acknowledged they had received it but somehow the so-called "CLOSED" account was able to receive the money! Last time I looked - when you close an account of any kind through a computer system, it is CLOSED and unable to accept any incoming transactions of any kind. So I told them that I want the money transferred IMMEDIATELY. Their response, "we will do so but it will take 48 -72 hours." Excuse me, but you could transfer all of my balance due in less than 18 hours, now it takes 72 hours to transfer the payment that takes the balance down to zero?!

Apparently every level of customer service has the same script because it did not matter how far up the ladder I went, I was answered by someone who - by the telephone connection - sounded like they were in Bangladesh and who gave me the same response; never answering my questions and continuing to blame my bank. My only conclusion is that when they say they are "closing" an account they don't. Why they keep it open can be left to one's imagination and interpretation but I am wondering if this is something that the FDIC should be looking into. That may be my next call! Since I had to mark at least one star I want to make note that they don't even deserve that and ANGRY does not even come close to describing how I feel right now!

I contacted Credit One Bank this morning about a payment that I made online that was never posted or charged from my bank account. The representative that I spoke with barely spoke English was very difficult. I told him that the late fee needed to be waived because this was not a mistake on my end which he agreed to. He said he would be charging me $50, my September and October payment. I refused. I told him that I will pay my payment due by October 1 another time, today I'm just taking care of the September 1 payment. He wanted to argue but I would not budge.

After taking my debit card numbers he informed me he would charge my payment a $9.95 processing fee. I immediately told him this was unacceptable, and I was not paying anything more than the payment that they neglected to initially process. He then said he would reduce it to $7.95. I asked for a supervisor and he said the supervisor would tell me the same. I told him I do not care. I refuse to pay that fee. He said he could only waive one thing, either the late fee or the processing fee, and then knocked it down to $5.95. I finally told him, I don't care if he offered $0.99, I'm not paying it and I wanted to speak with a supervisor right NOW. He then gave up and gave in.

After processing the payment, he then offered to waive the processing fee for my next payment since he already had my bank information as long as it was scheduled to be paid in the next week... "umm NO thank you, you definitely are not keeping my bank information to God only knows do what with". I just wanted to get off the phone and he kept insisting it would be easier to schedule it ahead of time. I told him I'll send it online again and if it doesn't go through again then they'll be hearing from me again and doing the same thing! And that the website should be reliable and trusted to process payments. I have a couple store charges and Capital One for another credit card and never in my life have I had so much difficulty.

Where do I even begin with this company? Earlier in the year, I had over $400 worth of fraudulent purchases on my card. Did they even attempt to contact me? No. Did they assume I spent outrageous amounts of money online within a few days? Yes. I mean, the norm for other companies would be to make a call to the account holder to verify that these were not fraudulent purchases - but no, this had not even occurred to this poor excuse of a company.

When I discovered the purchases, I contacted them immediately to which I was told to "call back on Monday during our operational hours, we cannot help you right now." In the end, I managed to dispute all of the false charges but it took over 2 months to settle (and a lot of calling to them on my part, lots of hanging up on their part). After this experience, I decided to cancel this card and pay off the rest ASAP.

Around the week of August 9th, I mailed a check to pay off the remaining balance. I assumed they would receive the check within the week so I refrained from checking my balance online (HUGE error on my part, I will be the first to say). Unfortunately, my balance was not paid off. When did I check? September 1st. On top of that, they were hammering me with late charges and those "annual fees;" so I decided to give them a call.

After about an hour or so of getting disconnected, hung up on and transferred, I finally talked to someone about my situation. They had stated something along the lines of "we have not received a check, but we ask you to call us back tomorrow". I said well, alright, I'm not sure how this is going to help but what have you. That night, I checked my balance online - and what do I see? My payment posted.

My payment, recorded as received on August 16th, posted on September 1st. Automatically, I was absolutely furious. Why? It became clear to me that they withheld my check in order to charge me late fees and all of that other useless nonsense. They, most likely, only posted it because I called about it and they figured they could not get away with this scam any longer. I called them once again, and they forced me to pay all of the other extra fees that were added after I mailed my check. They were trying to charge me the express fee, but I managed to talk them out of that. Over all, what I have to say about this company for anyone interested?

Do not do it. This is not worth it, even if you are trying to build up your credit: do NOT apply for this card. The customer service representatives are rude, lack basic manners and barely speak English, and they flat out refuse to help you unless you threaten them or force them to transfer you to someone who is somewhat more helpful than the last.

At the same time I also closed my account. I received a bill in April of 2015 (5 months later) stating I owed them money. These charges for interested fees, monthly fees, annual fees and late fees. This card will restore credit but it is very high in fees. I called them to figure out what happened. They said my card on file to pay my Credit One Bank card was declined. I said "I know" because I changed the number after closing the account because I read bad reviews on this might happen to me and it sure did. They fix the issue in April 2015.

I have 5 derogatory marks on my credit currently as I checked through Capital One. This time I recorded their calls and they even stated it was THEIR mistake. They said they will report this to the credit agencies and it will be fixed and also it will be closed. I am making a statement to be aware of this card. I have paid every single card on time. When I asked the guy to speak to a manager he played dumb and continued to talk in circles with his accent and hung up on me. I called back 3 times and they continued to hang up on me. I have made several attempts to make payments to no avail - 3 attempts on the company's own website failed, 4 attempts with customer service via phone failed. What's most surprising is that I have used the same payment account details to make payments to other financial institutions and retailers without problems. I can't believe I will make mistakes - that many with a payment account that I have used many many times for transactions.

I called the bank today and was told that the fault is mine and the account has been closed - meaning the next step is to send it to collection. I won't advise anyone to use this company for any business. EVER. It's much more annoying when I think about the amount of money they charged on the card as annual fees- credit line was $300 and the annual fee charged was about $75. So much for fixing my credit. Don't ever think of doing business with this company.

First off I wanted to give them less than a one star but was unable to do so. I am in the process of rebuilding my credit, have done great until receiving this card. My payments have never been late. My first issue is that when I made my first payment I forgot to include enough zeros in my account number causing my payment not to go through. Instead of letting me know that and letting me correct the issue they completely locked me out of my account. I called and tried to explain the situation to the agent on the phone but was unable to make them understand what I was saying. First off their accent was very thick and the call was being answered in India. They wouldn't let me use the account I used previously so I ended up making the payment from my other bank account with the routing number and account number and my account was still locked after the payment was received.

When I made the payment I paid an additional $9.95 so that my account would be updated after midnight. Instead of that happening it took 72 hours for my account to reflect the payment. I attempted to log into my account today but was still unable to. I called and attempted to figure out what the issue was. The first person I spoke to couldn't understand what I was saying and was very rude. I called back and got a lady that was very polite and did explain the situation to me a bit better. She told me that they were having issues with my bank account and that I should have received a letter in the mail, that explained the situation. I informed her that I didn't receive one.

She explained to me that she needed a letter from the bank with their letterhead. I failed to understand why that was needed, and she couldn't explain it clearly to me. I also fail to understand why that information was needed, the only thing that they should be worried about is that the payment went through, if it does then good. The only one that needs to have concerns about my bank account is me and my bank. My mistake was not looking them up on Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. I have learned my lesson. Good luck everyone and be cautious.
