I opened this credit card to improve my credit score. First of all they charged me fee every month for nothing, then I did not receive the bill and got more fee on next bill. Okay. I decided to cancel the card and called customer service. They barely understand anything!!! I guess the customer service is in India. And I cancel this card. But...here is the bill again!!!! They did not cancel it at all. I have to call them again.... I will file more serious complaint if they still doing this after my phone call. Unprofessional bank and inconvenient credit card with horrible customer service!!!

I too got scammed with Credit One Bank. I made 4 payments in one month and they locked me out from making any more payments and I needed to verify my checking account AGAIN!?!?! I noticed today when you go their website it has links that go to other websites. And it clearly states that the links are not affiliated with Credit One Bank. And may not be secure. What type of scam is this company running? I am closing my account asap...

Finding this year that my credit scores sucked big time after me and my fiance were trying to purchase a house and her score being a 690 and mine being a 510, I decided it was time to start rebuilding. A friend of mine co-signed for me to receive one of these cards! That was 2 and a half months ago! Still have not received the card even though we were approved! They kept telling us that the cards were shipped but yet, we have not received them as of today! I got hit with a bill and yet the cards have not arrived nor had been activated! What a rip!!

Do yourself a favor like I did for myself, I signed up with the UNITY Visa card. It's a secured card but it reports to all the credit agencies. I also got a First Progress MasterCard as well which is also a secured card but again, it reports to all the credit agencies! The annual fees are $39.00 CHARGED yearly not monthly like Credit One does. I also got a Capital One NON secured card using my business as a co signer which started me with $500.00 of available credit. I have used all of these cards and downloading the apps on my phone can keep track of all the credit card balances. I pay off the balances every month not the minimum payments due. I am confident by next year, I will be able to have a healthier credit score and a better card in my wallet!

I do not mean to sound like I am pitching or selling anything. I too am a consumer that is fed up with all the BS from some of these shady card companies that do not help you but rather damage you even more in the long run! I am getting too old to play these games and I search for what is the best out there these days before acting on anything!

I have had a card with them for some time now, maybe 3 years. Never had any issues. I lost the card in a recent cross country move and ordered a new card. March 3rd. I went on two business trips and a ski trip totaling 22 days away from home. I expected the card to be at home when I returned. I get back, nothing. I call the next day, April 1, and tell them it never came. They say it didn't have an apt number and was returned - ok fine, resend to this address, thanks, and please rush it (they claim it takes 10-15 business days to get a card lol!). So I asked for Rush and the customer service guy said it would come in 1-2 days.

It is now April 10th, card still not here. I call today and they say "No one ever got this rushed, you'll get it in 7-10 business days." I lost it, how is it that I can mail a letter to Russia in 4-5 days but it takes 2 times that to get a credit card?! It's like they don't want people to spend the money. Do not get this card, get anything else. Worst service ever.

I received a random email from Credit One stating how my credit score had changed and to login to review the new score. I logged into my credit card account to review my score and noticed an unusual high balance on my account. I reviewed the recent transaction and noticed that I did not authorize nor charge the transactions with my Credit One card. I immediately called customer service and a lady answered the phone that spoke a little English, and got frustrated when I asked her to repeat what she was saying.

I told her the charges for Publix store in Florida and some Dr. office in Ohio charges were not charged by me. She recorded my complaint after placing me on hold for 10 minutes, and came back to the phone telling me a new card will be mailed to me within 15 days or less, and to complete the affidavit and mail in back to their bank.

The investigation will take up to 90 days and they cannot credit my account. They said I need to continue to make payments, and pay the high interest rate. This is not fair to me because I've never been late paying my bill and adhere to all their rules. I will pay off this card and cancel service ASAP. This is the worst card I ever had, plus the customer service is awful. Be careful if you apply for a Credit One card. Go to Capital One, they will treat you better.

I canceled the card in December of 2014 due to obtaining 3 credit cards with capital one. Since then they did not close the account and continued to bill me the monthly fee and reporting 4 delinquent months to my credit report. Worst card one ever experienced. I highly recommend Capital One and Bank of America.

I wish I found this site before I said yes to the pre-approved offer. Their offer looks so much like Capital One that I responded too quickly. Thanks to the email I received yesterday, I quickly started looking for reviews and was I surprised! When the rep answered the phone, I was told the card had already shipped, but after I said I wanted to cancel it, I was told it hadn't shipped and they could cancel my application. We'll see what happens. The bottom line is if you all are still experiencing problems, go to your local courthouse and file a small claims case for around $25.00. You don't need a lawyer, just your proof. They will act right when they receive notification from the court and you will never have to worry about them again. Know your rights.

This company get too many bad wraps. First it was the easiest credit card to set up. Second because we pay our bills we were given a credit line increase asap. Third their credit line protections program stepped right up and made my payments (min) plus and assisted us when I got cancer. So I give Credit One bank a+++ rating in my book. Thanks guys and gals at Credit One. Long term customers now and forever. My thought is this, if a small bank card company helps like this shouldn't they be my big bank card company. The big card companies are still stumbling over themselves to do something and it's been 2 months Credit One took 5 days payment in. Amazing. Little company wins in my book.

I made a payment way before my due date using their express option at $9.00. Payments are supposed to be posted the next day. But instead, it took 3 days for a payment to reflect on my account. I had trouble contacting them. When I finally did, the person on the other line seemed angry that I had called, when I questioned them about the express pay they gave me no answer. They didn't even say “how are you?” or “have a nice day.” Seems to me like they make it impossible to contact them on purpose. My tip… pay way before your due date but don't use express pay. Paying before your due date doesn't give them time to charge you interest.

My total fee was 133.44 without ever using the card. This is outrageous. I called customer service and I felt like I needed to record the conversation just like they monitor the calls. The customer service rep said that I would not be liable for the charges but I still feel like I need records. I would never recommend this company to anyone for any reason. I can make more money than this by taking junk to the junkyard. I am monitoring the outcome and waiting to see if they will continue to bill me late fees and other charges. Anyone out there, be aware of these people. I could not even understand what they were saying on the phone. Someone should really investigate this (bank).

My wife has tried contacting this bank several times via phone and never got through to a human. I have called and when prompted for my account number the system would repeatedly state that this was not a valid account number. I was finally able to create a on-line account so I could review and pay for their $8 monthly service fee. (Rip off.) Upon checking the account it stated I had a balance of -.13 cents although I was looking at a bill that showed a balance of $33 (which I was attempting to pay but could have sworn was paid last month). There was no way to pay the $33 balance on-line so we tried once more to call and find out what was going on. They urged us to not close the account and that they would waive the fees for 3 months so we would have time to reconsider. These guys are TERRIBLE. NEVER USE THEM!

Credit One Bank card can only be paid with a checking or savings account without charge. If I pay with my credit/debit cards, they charge $9.00 for each payment. If a customer is using the credit/debit card, they cannot pay over the phone or online without incurring a $9 fee. This is unfair to the SSI recipients, family support recipients, and human services recipients, since our only money comes on a card. I feel this is discrimination. If someone is low-income they have to pay $9 extra each month to make a payment. The customer service reps also hang up on their customers. I was hung up on 4 times today alone.

Then I get a bill for a $75 annual fee due within a few weeks with a late penalty of $35. I call the company and they continually asked me for personal information that I was unwilling to give them (if they gave me a card they should already have it right?). They finally find me in the system (miraculously of course) and they tell me that if I don't activate the card within 30 days it will be cancelled. I didn't believe them.

Called back and requested the account be closed with evidence in writing. They said they'd send a letter. I also requested an email (since they already had it somehow right?). They said they couldn't do it. I asked them for the IP address of the computer that "supposedly" applied for the card - they refused to give it to me. I asked to speak to a manager and they put me on hold - then sent me to a phone that just rang and rang and rang and rang. We'll see if I ever get a letter confirming my account was closed and the $75 membership fee was waived. I would never sign up for a card with a 24% interest rate let alone one that ALSO included a membership fee. This company is scamming consumers. AVOID!!!

The customer service woman said she could not waive fee and she continued to try increase my credit and not close account. I repeated 3x that I already closed account and did not want card and they were running a scam by continuing to charge me fees for an account I have repeatedly asked to be closed. After being put on hold, customer service says they will close account, waive fee and send a letter within 7 to 10 days that account was closed, which I heard two months ago from them, but I will believe it when I see it with this company. It was fine for awhile, then one day it was declined for a purchase from a well-known, upscale online merchant. I had plenty credit available; I had checked. Tried again the next day, same result. Called them and they said that merchant is "suspicious". Whaaaat? They assured me all was well now.

I take a friend to lunch at La Madeleine. Huge, successful chain. Declined. Same story when I call. But assured all is fine now! And throughout all this, I'm looking online and sure enough, I have credit available. Tried another online company. Declined again. They just keep saying I'm shopping at "suspicious" places. Why have a credit card, and pay annual fees, if you can't use it?!?! I've been using credit cards for 40 years. Never seen this happen. This company is a JOKE. First of all this a sub prime lender. As a sub prime lender that have to be aggressive or they will go out of business. Let's face it, their good paying customers leave because they are able to get better cards. They charge interest from day one. They charge a high membership fee, that they will reduce if you threaten to cancel BEFORE YOU USE THE CARD.

It's a business model that has been around for a long time and they serve a service for people that have problems with credit for whatever reason. My advice if you get one of these cards is to use this card for 1 tank of gas each month, they will credit your 1% that will cover the interest and then pay it off in full the same day you get your statement. This will help your credit and before long you can get a better credit card and cancel this one.

DO NOT ORDER A CREDIT ONE BANK CARD! You'll be sorry you did... Their contract agreements are designed to MISLEAD the consumer. Upon receiving your first statement, an ambiguous fee of $75.00 is charged to your card; even though you haven't used the card. Call them to remove it from your statement and they'll reduce the fee.

Credit One Bank makes it difficult for you to pay your bill even when you're paying, on time. I've NEVER paid my bill late. It takes 5-7 DAYS, if you pay your bill on their site but FOR A FEE, they'll process it sooner but doesn't guarantee that the payment won't be reported as late; of which you'll pay A LATE FEE. Beware of the revolving balance interest. They change at will with this bank and interest accrues at the time of the purchase.

THIS IS NOT CAPITAL ONE BANK, another mislead to you thinking it's a highly rated American bank. I'm not sure this is a real bank because they do business out of INDIA and in the Asian Time Zone. The offshore aspect of Credit One makes me feel very insecure with this company. Every possible way for the account holder to communicate with the Credit One Bank is blocked. When you call this number there is a message to leave your info and they will call back within 48 hrs. If you miss their call within that 48 hours you have to start all over again and wait another 48 hours and so on. The company is a is not what you want to have your information nor is it one you want to do business with. Again now on the phone with **, who said, "We can't take your payment." REALLY.... This credit one bank is a scam in my mind, I've had this card with them for a while now. Just recently they locked me out of my online account saying I had my bank info wrong on their website to make a payment, I've been trying to resolve this since September but every time a call it's just a foreigner asking for money. It's just one fee after another with them, they have the worst customer service ever. They keep asking for a lot of personal information that I don't like giving out, do they even have a location with real people that you can talk to? I don't think they do. I can't talk to anyone that can help me. Be aware of creditone, I would not recommend them to anyone, unless you want to pay a bunch of fake fees, stay away!

Firstly, I am a great customer for over 2 years now. I pay my accounts online and never carry over a balance more than 20%. Early March on 3/2/15 my account had some fraudulent activity on it and I called Credit One Bank regarding these unknown purchases. When I called about it they told me that I would have to wait 10 business days to get a replacement card and I thought that was absurd. I explained to them as a valued customer I should not have to wait 10 business days for my card and it should be sent out next day at no charge to me. They declined.

After 56 mins of battling with them getting nowhere I informed the manager that I had to get off the phone as I was driving and lost and that I needed to call my husband. He insisted on still talking to him. I told him that I was driving and that he would have to call me back. 2 days later I received a call from the manager telling me that I had to pay for the RushCard and I declined. He disconnected the call and without my knowledge turned my card off.

On 3/11/15 I called asking what was happening with my account and the rep told me my card was cut off and a new card was issued and sent out. It would take 10 business days. At this point I am pissed off. I asked for a supervisor and I was on hold for 40 mins the rep hung up!! I decided to just wait on my card as it was going to come within the time before my payment is due. Please note I cannot make any payments nor do I have any access to my account because my card was cancelled by Credit One Bank.

Today 3/23/15 I called spoke to a rep. When I asked for a manager he began raising his voice because I declined his assistance. His supervisor ** came on the phone and told me that is was ok for the previous rep to yell at me. I then asked her for her supervisor **. ** told me that NO card was sent to me. Note today is 3/23/15. I then asked, "Why not?" She said she didn't know. I then asked her, "Why haven't I received the fraudulent affidavit yet?" She said she is not sure but she will send them out today. I was pissed!!!! ** said she was going to send my card 3-5 business day at no charge but wanted me to pay for the $9.99 for the express payment and I said no!

I told ** that they dropped the ball and that I was not going to pay for any express payment when my account was closed by them without my knowledge! ** got the fee waived and processed my payment. Earlier in the conversation ** offered for me to speak to the corporate office. Initially I declined and I then decided to speak to someone. I was transferred to **. ** kept telling me that I didn't begin the investigation process when I did. ** excuse was that I was driving. I told her that I did begin the process and that the only reason the only issue in the call was that I was not going to pay for a RushCard for $25! That was the issue. It was unfair to me the customer having to pay for my card due to fraud.

** kept saying repeatedly that I was driving and I kept saying to her, "There is no excuse for my info not being logged for fraud," thus not having any affidavit sent to me was not fault of mine because I did call in and report the fraud on 3/2/15. ** kept saying I was driving I then told her to listen to the call on 3/2/15! These people are horrible. I will be canceling my service whenever they start the investigation process. It's already been over 3 weeks and these people still didn't send me the affidavit. Their excuse is it's because I was driving! Horrible people.

    Updated on May 10, 2015:

ON 4/30/15 I received a call from ** ID number **. I asked him where is the affidavit for me to report the fraud. He acted as though he didn't understand the question. I repeatedly asked for the affidavit and he said they are going to send it. Today 5/9/2015 I checked the mail and they send me a letter stating that they cannot reopen my account as I requested. I did no such thing!!! I have received calls from them and I've asked repeatedly to send the affidavit to report the fraud and they have yet to send it! I have spoke to ** ID number ** and he claimed that the affidavit was going to be sent. It's been 2 months and I am still waiting to report the fraud as I did over the phone on 3/2/2015!

I have been calling and requesting this all the time and nobody has sent the affidavit. Now they closed my account and it will screw up my credit and that is wrong!!! Miss ** called me and ** 4/16/2015 from the presidential office and I told her to send me the affidavit for the fraud and she has yet to do so!

I have said over and over that I want to report the fraud and you guys are not willing to process it unless sign the affidavit and you are refusing to send it to me!! I am tired of the back and forth! It is very unfair what you are doing. I has been 2 months since I've been waiting for the affidavit and you have yet to send it miss **!!! and the REST of Credit one bank. Now because I have been requesting the affidavit you close my account?!

When I say thieves, they are legit criminals. How could such a company take your money on one end, and not have a phone number to contact them and fight it on the other??? How does the government allow this to happen??? On top of it, they report to all the credit bureaus and have your credit score in their hands. Why won't the BBB do anything about this company??? I just don't understand. It would be different if some senator's daughter was being ripped off, but a senator's kid would never have a credit score low enough to have to get this card.

I see complaints about not seeing your statement online. I view it every month online, you go to your account and look under monthly statements. As for fees and payments on time, it clearly states if you pay online through your bank that it can take up to 7 days to reflect, so obviously pay it BEFORE the due date. When you don't have perfect credit, you have no choice but to have to deal with fees, lots of them along with higher interest rates because we are considered a "High Risk" and if you give it time and pay on time and don't go over your limit, then your credit score goes up as does your credit limits.

I have not had a single problem with Credit One. They gave me a card when no one else would and gave me the chance to prove I am credit worthy again. Paid on time monthly and my line increased. I get rewards for gas and other purchases. You also CAN use this card anywhere. So for the one who is having an issue with Amazon, check Amazon. I have never had a problem using my card online anywhere.

But yet Credit One has sent the balance to a company called Sims. They are hassling me daily to pay the bill, I asked them “how many times does it take for me to tell you that I lived on a fixed income from disability and that my husband died with NOTHING” (I even spelled the word for them). No life insurance, no pensions, no nothing except debt. My husband had been very sick for a long time. We always paid our bill on time, but since the medicine he required was so expensive we lived by credit card debt. Yes it was wrong, but when you fall through the cracks for help, you do what you have to do to survive. I just want this stupid company to quit hassling me about payment/s they are not going to get, because I don't have it.

They told us we owed over $60 - that would be 3 months since the credit card was paid off and not using it - YES - all interest and finance charges. They won't put you through to a supervisor - they want you to repeat your social security card and name and account number every time you are transferred to another person. Sending a certified letter to them on Monday enclosing our $60 plus for interest and finance fees. They are so shady.

To start I received in the mail what appeared to be a pre approved credit card from Capital One, but I was wrong, it was from the worst bank in the world... Credit One. I filled out the application and was approved for 1,500$ credit limit and my card was in the mail. I used the card sparingly and only spent 200$ and about three weeks in, I decided to make a payment. So I called Capital One and they told me I didn't have an account with them and to look at the card and see what bank it was from. So I called customer service for Credit One to make a payment but was not able to without being charged 10$ for an instant payment and an early payment charge. So I opted to pay online but wasn't able to due to not having chosen the paperless route. So I waited to receive my billing statement but it never came. 2 days late at this time I start receiving over 20 harassing phone calls starting at 6 am a day while I'm at work (I work 16 hour late night shifts).

My only day off, I call them and let them know I want to pay in full but would like to know why I haven't receive a billing statement, they let me know they sent it on the 15th and that my bill was due on the 11th. I constantly ask why it was sent 4 days after the fact and they had no answer for me. They had added multiple charges on my account exceeding 100$. It took me over 3 hours on the phone and being HUNG UP ON multiple times to remove the extra charges and to pay in full, and cancel my account. Do yourself a favor and don't get a credit line through Credit One Bank!

For 3 months of my bill going up instead of down with payments of more than the minimum, I called as asked why and if I was being charged an annual fee. The answer was yes, I was being charged over $8 a month. That adds up to at least $100 a year. I was never notified of this change to my agreement. After being harassed for a payment for 5 minutes over the phone (which was due to late charges which should not have happened as my bank sends the payment and they didn't process it) the charges were cleared and I made an additional payment to be one ahead. At that moment, everyone working phones applauded and congratulated him on his accomplishment. It doesn't get more unprofessional than this.

Instead, I was informed that decision was pending, and I would have to call. That is where the fun began. I ended up speaking with a very young sounding customer support Rep that gave conflicting answers to every question. She first told me it would take 3 weeks to review the application - then immediately said "call next week to check." I asked what happened to "immediate response online." She just robotically repeated that I must call back. Never answered my question.

So, fine, I called the next week, and was informed that I needed to send a copy of my Social Security card - to verify my number. I asked why this was needed, as none of my current credit card companies, or car loan holders had ever asked for this. It was here that I just started to feel something was off, and potentially shady. When I pushed the issue she stated that Visa had requested it. I already have a Visa card, and they never asked for this. No matter what I asked, she responded with non-answers that where clearly from a script.

I asked to speak to a Supervisor. After several minutes on hold, I was informed the Supervisor was busy on a call, but would take a call-back for 24-72 hours. I, sincerely, doubt I would ever receive that call. The entire time I was holding, I was reading the horrendous customer reviews about all of the really scammy, fraudulent things that had taken place. I requested that my application be cancelled. This company is BAD news. Stay away!

I was told it was corrected and the card would be mailed to me. Several more weeks passed and no card. I called a third time and again was told the card had been mailed to the wrong address. For the third time I was told that the address was corrected and the card would be mailed to me.

Another week passed and no card. I received a letter stating they had been unable to reach me and needed to speak with me regarding my account (although I'd received no calls or previous letters). I called and was told that because my address had changed so many times, I needed to mail in a copy of my driver's license and utility bill. What???! I explained that I haven't moved and THEY had incorrectly mailed the cards to the wrong address. I have NEVER heard of a credit card company asking for such information. So basically they request more and very personal information because they screwed up?? It seems like this is done on purpose in order to obtain your driver's license information (based on other similar complaints). I told them to close the account but I would be very surprised if that actually happens. I'm sure this headache will require more calls and complaints.

Apparently I had made a payment in Feb. that never was processed and I was never notified about it not going through. They locked my account the following month; when I tried to go on and pay, the online service told me: "Temporarily Suspended. Access to your account has been temporarily suspended. Please call us: 1-877-825-3242."

When I called the lady said I missed a payment and needed to pay the minimum payment due so I said ok. The lady on the phone let me know $50 was due and there was a processing fee. I told her that is fine and to go ahead and pay $100 since I knew that was my balance left on it anyways. The following week I try to go on and see my balance. Again my account is still locked so I call to see what was going on and why it was still locked. Got a hold of another rep (she put me on hold for well over 10 minutes), she told me my account was cancelled since I didn't make my payment last month. I asked her what had happened to the $100 I paid last week she said that went to the account balance. I asked why I was not notified the first time about my account being cancelled after I made my payment. She made a round about and said that it was my responsibility to find that out before I make payments.

But if I would like to get my account re-activated, I would need to show a letter from my bank showing I made the payment for them to "re-consider" me as a customer. I would need to send this letter to a P.O. BOX in Las Vegas. Worst service ever! Why was there no notification for a missed payment (they had my phone number and my email)? Why did they go straight to cancelling my account rather then letting me know so I can make the payment? These are the things I asked myself. Now I know I will never recommend them to anyone I know, nor will I be trying to reinstate my account! Thanks for helping me build my credit back up but shame for having crappy customer service!

I opened my new credit card account in late 2014 after receiving one of their "Pre-Approved" offers. I had recently returned to consistent and regular employment so I wanted to raise my credit score with another credit reference (already had Capital One and Walmart (Synchrony Bank) credit cards with decent limits, so Credit One's offer (and approval of $300) was appealing -- I saw the $75 initial fee that was fully disclosed so that was OK given my purpose of expanding credit references).

The only problem I encountered was going over my limit by less than $1 (after a cash advance fee to try out that feature) and getting repeated voice messages one day about an "...urgent matter that needs your attention..." -- clearly from an off-shore Customer Service agent since the full content of the message was difficult to fully understand with the person's accent, other than it was a fairly serious matter.

I returned the call... spoke with a CS Supervisor... and got the issue(s) resolved by agreeing to make a payment to cover the cash advance amount immediately, which I did online and it posted to my account the next day. I've made all payments online (instead of the Express Pay option) even though it states they'll show up in several business days... they always post in 3 days or less... and generally I haven't experienced the types of problems like others who've reviewed Credit One Bank -- so I'm 'knocking on wood' that my general satisfaction will continue.

Also I signed up for and get their personalized Alerts - the Credit Score they post though, is lower than what I see regularly on Credit Karma (that I use to monitor my score monthly) and I guess the next test will be to see if they raise my limit as promoted, since all of my payments have been online and either more than the 'minimum' or balance paid in full.

I'll see what the future holds, but generally I'm a satisfied cardholder so I wanted my experiences to be listed in this forum with all of the others who haven't been that way unfortunately. Maybe COB is taking them to heart and implementing positive change(s) that ultimately will benefit them and us as customers--my objective '2 cents worth' and hope it helps others looking for a way to obtain more credit and improve their credit scores (also save too by paying balances off in full when you can).

After we moved to another state (AZ to SC) my husband noticed a charge on his account for "US MAIL FORWARD" for $39.95??? We tried calling but did not get an answer to our phone call. I have noticed on my account a recurring charge called "Annual Fee" for each month $8.25 which means my Annual Fee is $99.00/year. I started to do some research and found they are located at: Credit One Bank, 625 E. Pilot Road, Las Vegas, NV 89119 and their phone number is: 702-269-1000. I plan on trying them again in the morning (800 number), contacting www.helpwithmybank.gov, and checking with the three credit bureaus to see if there are any bad remarks/hard inquiries from Credit One Bank. It would be interesting to see where a search for the parent company is located?

My card was suspended and now can't be reopened without me mailing proof of pay stub, our utility bill. They screwed me. They got me to spend the limit, after they took out their fees...now I can't use the card. Plus the fact you can only withdraw up to 25% of your credit limit is not told to you in clear writing until you get the card. Also if you get a card expect to wait an extra two weeks to get a PIN number. I am highly disgusted and am sticking to my Capital One card.

My balance was around 300.00 when I got a letter in the mail stating to me that since I am only making the minimum payment they were increasing my monthly payment. There isn't anything in the cardholder's agreement stating they have that right without my authorization. I called them to refuse the new payment amount they were suggesting and the representative on the phone said, "Just open your wallet and pay the dang bill." I was floored...Now the account is past due and I have sent them a certified letter asking them to remove the late fees since it was their fault. Of course no reply from them and now I see on my credit report they have closed the account. What do I do next??? Credit One Bank is a shady company. Beware, everyone who uses them.

I am in disbelief on how their process is for filing fraudulent activity. Today I decided to check my credit card balance and noticed it was relatively high. I decided to view my recent activity and I saw almost $400 in transactions being processed on my card at multiple Fry's Grocery Locations. I immediately called Credit One to dispute these charges. The representative notified me that the balance would remain on the card and they will credit me in 30-60 days (no later than 90) to receive credit and I have to continue to make payments!!!!

You have to be kidding me!! In the past when I've had to file fraudulent claims (Chase and Capital One) I received a temporary credit so that I wouldn't have to pay interest or payments towards a balance I did NOT charge. I am very very very disappointed in how this company handles this process and they WILL receive a complaint from a customer that has been using their card for two years and has NEVER paid late. Signed a very upset Credit One customer (soon to be ex).

I opened a Credit One Bank card account in 4/2014 and made regular and timely payments even though I never received a monthly statement. I was admitted to the Veterans Hospital for care and was receiving countless calls from people who spoke very poor English and they demanded FULL PAYMENT, even though credit card companies can ask for full payment approaching with a minimum payment due validates the genuineness of the call, in my opinion.

Identity theft is the number one crime reported today in America and it is on the rise. I requested that statements be mailed, this would allow my Case Manager at the Veterans Hospital to pay that bill with my funds, but they would never send the statement. After release from the hospital I pulled a Credit Karma report and this account is closed by creditor. Credit Karma's report showed a balance of $545.77 (interest charges and late fees), so I called and they couldn't discuss anything with me until that amount was paid. I paid it the next day 3-5-2015. Now the account is still closed and will still be reported as late payments exceeding 90 days.

I think this is criminal because to my knowledge, I had to send them $300.00 from which they used $75 for processing/membership fees leaving me with an available balance of $225.00 on my card. So out of this $545.77 I paid, I should have at least $225.00 available to me. Then I was looking at the fee schedule and I was billed $6.25 for membership fees for 4/2015, which hasn't arrived yet and my account is closed, so I am not a member to which they can bill me, but they did.

These people take advantage of Americans with bad credit, in the fact that all their agents and phone support is located in India, who call demanding full payment, making no offer to provide a statement of charges, they have no fax line to submit requests, they have not answered mail requests, and they do not have an email process... always a phone call that is routed overseas to a person who speaks broken English and "Oh, I'm sorry sir, I have made that request for you, you should have it in 7 to 10 business days, can I process that payment for you now?" A legitimate Credit Card Company should have better customer service and customer care operations. Because they would not provide monthly statements I was unable to make required payments, so interest rates doubled my debt, my account is closed, and my credit reports are damaged.

I had a credit card with Credit One Bank in an effort to rebuild my credit. I was getting ready to go overseas and checked all of my cards to find that this one had been hacked!! It seems that the hackers created a duplicate site and got my password etc etc. They then preceded to max out my card, pay it off with my bank info that was stored in the credit one site and then max out my card again. They changed my address within the website and then got all of my info and opened a bunch of other accounts with other companies with this info.

Credit One have been less than helpful, they have barely acknowledged the fraud due to a lack of security on their part and I have had to spend hrs on the phone trying to resolve the issue. In the beginning they even advised I pay my minimum balance!! I had paid that card off in full so I was not going to pay them anything. I have had to close my bank account, order all new checks, etc etc and deal with the other accounts that have been fraudulently opened in my name.

Not once have they issued any apology or anything, there is no accountability at all. I also had to deal with not having any cards while I was traveling as this all happened a few days before I left. I am just thankful that I noticed as they didn't catch a thing and the thieves would have been able to go unnoticed for who knows how long. Avoid Credit One at all costs.

Credit One Bank has got to be one of the worst, if not THE worst, credit card companies in history, and I'm just putting that lightly. Anyone who has one of these credit cards have already witnessed how they call and lie to you to get you to pay more than you have to. I've been lied to multiple times but one incident today threw me over the roof. My payment date is 5 days away and the rep told me that he needed a payment that day so I don't get a late fee. I told him I'll skip the ($10) Express Payment and just do a (free) standard payment online. Makes sense, right? Well, not to him. He was bold enough to tell me that if I don't do the express payment with him today and do a standard payment, it might not clear for 7 days so I might get a late fee.

Yes, you read that correctly! So you already know I had to talk to a supervisor. After hearing my frustration, she apologized for what he said and told me that -- no, I won't get a late fee if I do it today. Boy was I mad because the tactics that they are playing to get you to pay not only more than what is due but tricking you into thinking that the $10 Express Payment is your only way to avoid a $35 late fee. Please advise that this is only one of the MANY lies I have been told by a Credit One Bank rep. Take my advise -- Pay off the balance, close the account, and stay away from this credit card!!!

I applied for a credit card in December, 2014. I finally heard in January that I was approved and that the card and pin would be coming separately. I received a bill before anything with a due date of 1-18-2015 and a balance of $81.95 for an annual fee, and a fee for a premium design card (both of which I knew nothing about). I proceeded to call Credit One Bank and told them I wasn't paying for something I hadn't received. They said "No problem, just disregard the bill until you receive your card." I then get another bill but with a $25 late fee and interest charged. I still had not received my card. I called again and was told that it would be coming. I also told them that I wasn't paying any penalty or late fees for something I still had not received and that I had called about this already. I told them to take those charges off or I would report to BBB.

I finally received the pin and then the card on the 26th of January. I used for 2 gas purchases and get a call yesterday that I was behind in payments. I tried to explain that I spoke to a Justin on 2-6-15 and the charges were to be removed and not to pay until I received a bill around the 26th of February. I get a call yesterday saying I owed a late charge and penalty for not paying a bill. Every time I tried to explain the problem, the person on the phone kept interrupting me and I finally told him to shut up and let me finish. He told me not to use bad language. I didn't know shut up was bad.

Then after 4 people on the phone and a terrible connection, I supposedly spoke to the manager (they all sounded just like the first person) and if I made a payment right then, they would waiver the late charges and the $9 fee for paying over the phone. I accused them of blackmail and he denied it. All fees waived if I paid then and there. Then I went to use the card at the market last night and it was declined. And the call was from India and the manager was named Mark **. He also said the payment would come out in a day or two. It came out yesterday. I am very displeased with this company. I was trying to rebuild on my credit and this bank is trying to destroy it. And the only way to get anything done with them is to write them and then I'm not so sure you can get anything done.

My credit rating took a beating in 2009 when the economy took a dump and it took me longer than I thought to get back on my feet. I finally was back on my feet again and I needed to rebuild my credit rating so I was approved with this card along with 2 other credit cards from different banks.

I have now had my account with Credit One Bank for a little over a year and was originally approved for a $700 credit line and I now have a $1000 credit line. Yes they charge for every little thing but this is the crappy deal that those of us get while we build or in my case rebuild our credit, it's just the way it is.. As far as the Customer Service Dept goes I have not had to call them once. Also just about every bank's customer service is outsourced overseas these days..

Here is what I did while having this account and perhaps it is the reason why I have not had any issues with this bank? First I have never waited until the due date to pay my bill. I usually pay my bill 1-2 weeks before the due date. Second I never pay my bill on Credit One Bank's website, I use my personal bank's eBill Pay system. My bank electronically transfers the funds and it post the very next day at Credit One Bank. Third I always pay my bill in full every month. I only use 30% of my available credit every month and pay the balance in full. This is what I have done every month for the almost 15 months that I have had this account and I have never been charged a late fee or have been contacted by them via phone call or email. I hope this was helpful??

My wife pays her bills with a debit card and that account shows it being paid on 2/18/2015. Their agent and her supervisor said they made no calls. Something is wrong and it needs to be checked out.

Credit One, your website should not be so difficult. All I wanted was to see my statement and there is nothing that shows it. I called and the lady says I need to call Customer Service so I waited. And Nothing! Finally she said, "do you want something else?" I said, "Yes, customer service." She said I would have to call back. WHAT? OH MY GOSH!

So I hung up and had to call back and the guy I talked to this time would not keep his mouth close to the receiver, so I asked him 3 times to please talk louder. I am not hard of hearing but I could tell the receiver was slowly moving away from his lips because after the 3rd time of asking him to speak louder he was fine, and he never raised his voice which told me he just wasn't keeping the phone close to his mouth. I then told him I had several questions but after the 1st which he couldn't answer, he was ready to hang up. I said, "Please wait, I said I had several questions." After each question he was again ready to hang up. He didn't help me with any of my questions. Each time I had to ask him over and over again and I had to explain each one a multiple of times.

Credit One not only does your website stink but your customer service is even worse. I talked to TWO people with simple questions and neither could help me. I am really big on customer service and I have NEVER written about anyone or any company. But when I get two people who didn't seem to care enough to help me and the guy who couldn't seem to understand anything I was asking, it's frustrating. I don't have accent so I don't know why he couldn't understand a simple question. Actually, I only got 2 questions out before I finally hung up because he was already telling me he couldn't help me because he can't ask for my pin number. WHAT? I never ask him to do anything that he would have needed my pin number. I doubt if I'll be calling Credit One very soon and now that I know I can't get my statement online. I guess I won't be visiting that either. Thanks for nothing!

I have been with Credit One Bank a little over a year now. The annual fee is ridiculous, the customer service are not customer service people. What I mean by this is they aren't there to help you, just collect more money from you. Anytime you need help, you might as well sit on hold. They never call you back when they say they are going to. Charging fee after fee. This is supposed to be a credit card company that helps you, not eats you up with charge after charge. I don't care how desperate you are, go elsewhere. The only reason I still have them is to maintain credit history. It sucks to have to pay a monthly payment basically to them to keep my credit score. Close the account yourself, but that goes against you. It never will close because of the charges monthly. UGH!

For the last 2 to 3 months I've been having problems even logging into my account to review it and/or make a payment. Everytime I try it brings me to a page where I had to enter information to apply for another card, which I do not want. Everything I click on, even the contact us link, brings me to this pre approval page. I have been unsuccessful at logging in today due to this. Even if I click on the space to enter my login name it automatically brings me to this page again. I do not want another card through this company, nor will I ever.

The better business bureau seriously needs to look into this company and shut them down for good. The only way to contact credit one is either by mail or by phone, which is a joke when you try. There is no online support like most cards and companies have. I would never recommend this card to anyone, and the year I've had it, my credit score has been the same, if you use the card it makes your score go down significantly. I believe every credit one customer should be refunded all fees ever charged to their account as they continue to add different one and they're always different prices.

Finally, since interest is compounded daily, it is next to impossible to close the account. In fact, it took two Credit One Attorneys to determine the final balance on my credit card. They have called me, not able to speak or hardly understand any English at all, and repeatedly told me that maybe I should consider selling the stuff in my house. I was told twice that I should "Do the right thing" and start by pawning my tv, my stereo, etc. They won’t switch the pay date to my pay date, so I’m getting late fees, an interest charges. I explained that if they wait till my pay date I would pay the bill in full, not the minimum due. I was threatened to be reported to the credit report company and I would "suffer on my credit score if I did not pay immediately.

Hell with it. Report me then. I’m not paying them to harass me and tell me to pawn my possessions and threaten me. I don’t care what they do to me now. I cut my card up and changed my number. Now usually I would pay online (Which I believe is free) but every time I try to pay recently, it tells me to call customer service. My belief is that they locked me out of my online account so that they can charge me $9.95 to process my payment.

I told Glenn 5 damn times that I needed my payment taken out in 2 days when I get paid. He assured me that the $150 flat payment would be taken out Saturday. I had a feeling he was full of crap. I said "SO... You have the authorization to take my ** money but you can't discuss my account with me??" She kept interrupting me, telling me to have my husband call back. So Credit One Bank has an ingenious way of getting over on ppl by charging a late fee to your acct if you don't make a payment by a certain time on your due date rather than making it on the due date itself. I was charged a late fee 6 of 12 months in 2014. I didn't notice until Jan 2015. Just wondering why my balance didn't seem to go away since I only use the card for 2 recurring bills that's less than $40 per month combined. Customer service swear they can only waive one of the fees. So now I'm stuck paying them $125 in late fees even though I made the payment on the due date each month.

This company isn't for the customer! They charge you for every little thing. You get charged for a replacement card, a credit limit increase, an annual fee, just charge after charge! I got this card when I first started building my credit and don't really wanna take it off because it's better for your credit to keep long standing accounts. But CONSUMERS BE AWARE, there are much better cards available. If you have not so good credit, a secure card is better than this mess!

I went to three different bill-pay stores and this card is not in the system. They don't have physical address on the billing statement so one could visit and talk to real people. This credit card company is more of a scam than anything else. They charge fees that are unsubstantiated, charging "annual" fees each month, even if you have a zero balance. They avoid being contacted. When I asked to cancel my account, on more than one occasion, they avoid, refuse to help and direct you elsewhere to those who happen to be unavailable. Fees continue to come out of nowhere and then they charge late fees for fees. This is a company you should avoid at all costs. Predatory at best.

I began to read the disclosures and realize that this company charged exorbitant amounts of fees. I Immediately Called the company on January 4th, 1 day after activating the card and told them to cancelled the card for various reasons and that I had not made any charges on this card and that I wanted them to notate the account that the conversation that I was having with them was on record.

I then immediately went online to the office of the Comptroller of the currency (www.helpwithmybank.gov), filed a complaint. January 12th received a letter from them stating that they would investigate. 10 days later received a letter from credit one stating that my account was $0 no money was owed and they were closing the account. Yeah let me just state in closing if you have not use this card but you have only activated and you have every right to have this account canceled without any damage to your credit for paying any money at all to this company. Then a situation arose where the card was needed and when I tried to use it the transaction declined. Worst company to deal with since I landed in America from Asia: A few words to Credit One Bank:

    1) Speak proper English. Your communication skill is one of the worst that I have ever come to deal with. You need NOT to finish college or graduate degree to learn how to speak English. And you need to understand that when you speak/talk, it is more important to let other people understand what you say clearly and logically (Please read this sentence through slowly and carefully).

    2) Respect your customers. By that, means, you LISTEN and CARE how they feel, you are here to offer "reasonable help" by caring them because of your service, NOT to "take advantage of them" DELIBERATELY at every second, every minute and every circumstance.

One more thing I came to learn today from this bank in America. I mean, I'll take it as a serious lesson.

When I first received my card, the annual fee had been added onto card, I had not gone the paperless option yet and had not received a statement for over a month and a half. By time I received the statement my payment was past due and a late fee was tacked on. I had contacted customer service explaining the situations and how I had not received a statement before first payment was due. Like so many other who have posted here, I got someone who could hardly speak English. I had asked to speak to a manager and was placed on hold for over 30 min. then hung up on. Frustrated, I just went ahead and paid late fee and set up paperless. Since then I have had no issues until here recently.

I am disabled due to upper back chronic pain and on several medications for pain. And in the last years I have developed nerve pain in my legs. The doctor last month started me on a medication that kinda messes with my memory to a point. I had made a extra payment on my card of $20 a few weeks back, meaning to make the min. payment of $25 on the 7th as usual. Last night (the 10th of the month) I woke up in a panic, I had forgotten, due to side effects of new medication, to make my min of $25 on the 7th. I got up in the middle of the night to get online to make payment praying that there wasn't a late fee. Well guess what? There was a $25 late fee added to my balance. I went ahead and made the $25 late fee but it is saying I still owe $5 min payment. When I got up this morning, decided to try and get a hold of someone to see if there is anyway to set up a auto pay, so that this doesn't happen again. I could not get a hold of anyone beyond the computer giving me several options then repeating. None of the options was to talk to a real person. I also had clicked the email notification option but did not receive an email reminding me that my payment would be due.

I just cancelled my credit card that I have had for less than 2 months because I believe their marketing to be deceptive, bordering on fraudulent. I responded to their "No Annual Fees" offer to later realize that they have an $8.00 per month fee instead after the 1st year (doubtless buried in the fine print). There is also a $75 initial fee charged (In lieu of the annual fee) for opening the account. The up to $1500 credit limit of course turned out to be $500 making the other fees in my mind usurious, particularly as a ratio to my $200 of actual purchases. I never received an initial statement so they charged me a $25 late fee which they did however waive. I asked them to at least pro-rate the initial fee for the less than 2 months that I had the card, I am not very hopeful though. I loath deceptive marketing and companies that employ it like Credit One Bank need to be called out for it.

I have had this card now for three months. Three weeks after having the card, I started to receive phone calls telling me my payment was due and I needed to express pay with a fee of $9.95 so my payment was not late. I explained I had initiated the payment through their website for $100. They said they did not get it and I need to pay right now, but according to the bill, I still had 10 days before payment was due. I reluctantly gave in and gave them my debit card information and made a payment of $100. It took 5 days for that payment to be processed and then three days later, lo and behold, another $100 came out of my account for the online payment I originally made. HUMMM??? So I just forgot about it and moved on.

The second month, I thought I would try the online payment again, this time for $75.00. Then the phone calls started again - 7-8 phone calls a day while I am at work, mind you. I have now had the card for just under two months, and the due date of the payment is at least 10 days away. They tell me again they did not get the payment and if I didn't pay right now for a fee of $9.95, my payment would be late! I refused. It was several long aggravating conversations to get this straightened out, but to no avail. They refused to send the payment through, which in turn took me over the credit limit and late FEES, FEES, FEES!

I believe this is a deliberate attempt to get whatever they can, so now two weeks later, I go again to initiate my payment for $168.00 and I cannot do it. The website says temporarily locked out of my account, so now I must pay $9.95 for express payment. I call and was told now that none of my payments were ever processed, they were all sent back. What??? My Chase bank account clearly shows that the money was taken out, so now I pay my $168.00 and want to close my account. I call back 2 1/2 weeks later and want the payoff amount of the card so that I can close the account. 4 different amounts are given to me in less than 1 minute's time and I have them process the payment and pay $9.95 to immediately process the final payment and keep getting the runaround and I ask several times to process it and close it. Well they ran the card as debit and guess what? They are holding the funds and refuse to process it.

Chase Bank was contacted and they told me the money is there for them to take but they are only holding the amount against the account and to immediately contact the state's attorney general. They believe they are doing this and refusing to close the account so that they can continue to collect interest and other fees. I hope this is resolved soon. They are breaking the fair lending laws by not processing payments, etc. BEWARE!!! This is the most fraudulent credit card company out there. This company needs a class action lawsuit filed against them for taking advantage of hardworking, good citizens. I will keep fighting on!

I had a Credit One Bank credit card. The fees were crazy, but I paid them. When I closed the account I talked to a rep and paid what she told me I owed. I asked if this includes all fees and interest. She said yes so I paid the total off on the phone with them. I then received my next statement on a closed account stating that I overpaid and there was a credit. I called to ask about the letter stating the account was closed (which I still don't have) and the credit. They informed me that there is no longer a credit because they made an adjustment on my account and the credit has been removed. They said that there must be a delay in the processing from when I got the total till when I paid it. Two problems with that... first if I delayed I would owe more money as the interest would go up and not have a credit. Second I paid on the phone while talking to the rep.

I spoke with three different managers about this. All just said the same thing that they adjusted the credit and total due on the closed account. The last manager finally stopped talking. I had to ask three times if she was still on the phone. All she would say is "yes" and then not talk anymore. It concerns me that a company can give their clients a total dollar amount due, not be accurate with that dollar amount and over charge them, and then keep the overages. Not sure how that is even legal. I advise NO ONE to use this company. Customer service is horrible, and you can't get answers to questions.

I was a victim of Identity theft and for 6 months I have been fighting with them to close the account and remove it from my credit report. They keep saying they've "mailed" me information that I need to fill out and return. But not only have they not mailed me anything, each time I call they tell me a different time that they actually "mailed" it to me. Not once repeating the same day (or even the same week). I've even disputed it with all 3 credit bureaus and they even "lied" to them saying the account is mine, so it keeps getting updated on my credit report. NOW! their latest scam is they say that they can't access my account anymore because there was a hold put on it because they were informed I was DECEASED! So, now they want me to mail my pay-stub and/or W-2 so the block can be unlocked! I honestly cannot believe there is a company like this in business in the USA!!!

for $81 dollars described as a fee for the card and informed me that my credit limit/balance is now $218. Not a bad way to make money. They charge you $81 for their soliciting your information in listing with them your personal information for a credit figure you are never going to receive, namely $3000. I received an ad from Credit One in the mail and applied. When the card came, I saw that I already had a $75 balance. I called them and they said that was their yearly fee. I said that was not mentioned in the ad or I would not have applied. They claim it was mentioned (just hidden) but I still had the ad. I forwarded it to the Missouri Attorney General's Office. They said they would contact them but nothing came of it. In November I paid off my balance of $333. Then I started getting harassing phone calls from them. They said the payment got there late so they tacked on another $67 in late fees. I called a supervisor to complain. She offered to take off $25 if I paid right then. When I complied they had to add a $9.95 processing charge. Needless to say, I immediately cancelled that card. People should stay far from this outfit. The words usury, larceny, leech all come to mind.

This company has dragged me along long enough! First of all, they said that even as I was telling them about a Charge of 1.99 charge to this card that I had Discovered that this was a charge from a casting company. What I had discovered was someone that I was not about to do business with after checking their practices with a hook & bill 1.99 for 14 days with them. About 11 days after I was to be billed 35.00 then 49.00 a month, it had been about 3 almost 4 weeks since the original contact that ended with my calling Credit one Bank!! That is when I was floored to hear that they expected me to stop the casting Company as I had just relayed to the person on the line with Credit One Bank. I had just tried to have stop my credit one account from being billed and then they would stop the billing. As it turned out, not only have EVER CALLED OR STOPPED THIS CASTING COMPANY from taking any money out of my credit card and It has been a total Nightmare!!!

This outlaw casting company was stopped from taking any more of my money from this account. However instead of crediting my account, this company has harassed my wife and I to only collect the growing amount as we have told them call after Call, That we would be happy to pay the outstanding balance once we HAD THE ERRONEOUS amount be identified and removed. This is bs Big Time as my wife concurs with my assessment of this situation as she had looked this situation up and they {Credit One Bank} failed to stop the initial call from me to the so called them to be sure that the so called casting company didn't take more. They are calling me to this day to collect 540+ today.

Received a real credit card (not one of those fake ones trying to get you to apply) in mail from this bank. Was very surprised, as I did not apply for credit from them. Information with the card said I had to call to activate it. Since I did not want it, I shredded it for security. Several days later, I received a statement in the mail from them for the $35 annual fee. Called customer service, first person hung up on me as I was looking for the account # on the statement. Second call, after a go around for a bit (basically the lady was not listening to what I was saying), I finally got her to understand this account was not opened with my permission and needed to go completely away. She did eventually claim to have closed the account and gave me a reference #. I will be monitoring my credit report to make sure it disappears.

The agents argue with me and are rude. In addition, one agent just offered to GIVE ME THE EMPLOYEE'S SOC NUMBER to verify which employee it was. This is so illegal! I don't know what else I can do, but I am really worried for the employee this affects since her personal info is out there.

These people are ridiculous and pushing. They will consistently call you for absolutely nothing when your bill is all paid up, they will call you and ask you to pay the full balance so that they may increase your credit limit. They lied about the fee and told me it was only going to be 60 dollars. When I received my bill I paid a hundred and seven dollars before I even used it. These people are terrible in the company every time you try to cancel your card trying to give you the runaround about the card. They do not help you with anything and sometimes when you try to call they do not even answer the phone.

I strongly urge no one to use them ever. This company should be shut down and honestly everyone should be refunded their money back even using them before. These people are shameful and they take advantage of anyone going through a tough situation by manipulating them and saying that they can give them a high rate of credit. When merely, they may give them $300.00 limit but they charge in the end is around 700.

I had a $500 limit and when I tried to cancel my card they said will just increase it, I did not agree. I hung up and call back in a bit to have my card the deactivated again. When I was trying to deactivate it, they asked me for my alternate phone number and I stated I did not have one and they said that I did so. When I began to say another number to contact me on, I realize they were just fishing for more information. Then they asked me about my email address, an alternate one than the one on file, stating I gave to gain this, was a lie. They also took the liberty of asking me where do I do my banking, not the bank itself but a particularly location. I honestly felt as if they were stealing my identification to sell it. Please never use them.

They are rude and refuse to let you speak to a supervisor. I had a person call from there yesterday morning. She was very rude and yelling at me and hung up on me. When I tried to call back moments later it said the office was closed!!!!!! If the office was closed how was she calling???????? 10 attempts later miraculously the office had opened and I spoke to someone who sounded like they were from India.

She refused to answer any of my questions... refused to let me speak to a supervisor and hung up..... Numerous calls later I finally get through to someone after I use a different phone number to call from. They could not tell me why the money order had been returned but I was being charged a late fee because my payment was past due. I told them I would be paying my balance in full and I want this card cancelled and that I would be contacting my attorney about this matter. This is ridiculous how this bank does business and treats customers. She hung up on me. I am going to my attorney’s office this morning to bring this bank to his attention.

I've had this credit card for about 6 months with no issues. I pay on time, never been charged unaccounted for fees. Then I get a message that I qualify for $250 credit increase for a $19.99 fee, so I accepted the increase and was OK with the fee. A week later, my card was declined for a $16 transaction. I tried it again somewhere else just to make sure it wasn't a mistake and it was declined again for a $5 transaction. So I went online to try to figure out the issue since I KNEW I had available money on the account. The website said my account has been suspended.

I called customer service, they barely speak English so I'm assuming they are outsourced to India. Nobody can tell me ANYTHING about my account other than someone from accounting will call me in 4-6 hours. I called them back after 8 hours and they told me someone will call me back in 48 hours. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they would not transfer me to anyone. That Saturday a "Supervisor" called me to tell me someone will call me in 48 hours. I asked what was the purpose of his call if he couldn't assist me, he said, "Because you asked to speak to a supervisor." Monday I called customer service back to try to figure out what's going on. My payment is due on the 15th and I can't go online to pay it, so what am I supposed to do? The guy from customer service told me he could take my payment over the phone if I'd like. SO let me get this straight, my account is suspended for some unknown reason BUT you are willing to take my payment over the phone for a fee?! That makes no sense.

It has been a week since my 1st call to them. Nobody has called me to explain why my account has been suspended or what is going on. Customer Service barely speaks English and they act as if I'm annoying them! I wish I would have read the reviews on this company before accepting their pre-approved offer. I would have NEVER accepted the card. Now after reading the reviews, I'm afraid I will have a difficult time closing the account!

I told him my bank account information was on file and he didn't need to ask for it again (I smelled scam here). He then proceeded to tell me my account was closed and my online access was no longer available. This was surprising since the previous day I was able to log onto my account and view my account --- paid in full. Now my card is de-activated and they're treating me like a criminal. I've been with the company for a while. Everything was fine until I had to contact the customer service. If you call the number they have listed as "customer service" you'll end up with collection department no matter what. It's like assuming you always on collection if you are their customer? Moreover, all the calls you made will be answered by incompetent reps overseas. They either don't have the skills or you can't even understand/hear what they said, and they'll take you around the circles many times, have you reveal all your private information and tell you "I'm from collection, I can't help you with it"...

Once they promised you to transfer to someone who is from customer service, omg! Those people are rude!!!! I got hung up by them twice just because they can't hear me clearly. This credit card preys specifically on those with little to no credit, poor credit, or building credit. They offer a high APR (23.9% + monthly periodic rate 1.992%) in which you pay an annual fee of $100. However, if you enjoy being nickle and dimed, then this is certainly the card for you. If your card is lost, stolen, or you just need a replacement, you must pay for a replacement card ($25). If you want a credit line increase, you must pay a fee ($10). If you want to pay your bill by phone or on their website, you pay a fee ($10). If you are late by a couple of days, then you are subjected to multiple harassing phone calls, beginning in the early morning until late at night. And forget about customer service. Not happening. However, the most disturbing feature offered by this lovely bank from Las Vegas is that they begin charging the aforementioned ("reasonable") interest THE DAY a transaction is posted. Not 28 days, or 30 days... The very day. Which, I did not realize until I read the terms and conditions of an offer they sent for me to open a second line of credit.

I'm not sure if this has always been the case. The document outlining my APR agreement was updated in August of 2014, so this might be a new policy on their part. However, I opened a credit card with them years ago when I was first building credit. My credit is currently in the mid 700s and I've gotten significantly better offers. However, will not close this account because it is my oldest standing line of credit. So, I get to pay $100 a year to a company whose business model is exploiting people with little other credit options. My advice to anybody considering opening a card with this bank is DON'T. If your credit is poor or non-existent, then try credit unions. Credit One Bank is a predator.
