I recently contacted Chase Bank concerning Credit Card fraudulent activity. I did not receive any assistance in this matter from Chase Bank even though I petitioned Jamie Dimon, CEO and President of Chase Bank. What is even interesting is the current bank that I am working with have identified numerous customers who have closed their Chase Bank accounts due to poor customer service, poor business practices, fraudulent activity, etc. I was also in a Chase bank lobby (with other customers) that a customer loudly denounced Chase Bank for poor business practices. This individual owned several businesses in Charlotte, NC.

I had opened an Amazon Prime account and did not realize it was through Chase Credit Cards. I had the account on autopay and had a fraud issue with my Citicards credit card, so I had to get reissued a new card. Subsequently, Chase could not debit my card anymore. I never got past due notices. I did receive 3 emails that my Chase account was past due. I never had a Chase account that I knew of, so I assumed the emails were a scam attempt and ignored them.

I went online later on my Citicards account and noticed my FICO score dropped from 841 to 680!!! I pulled an Experian report and found out who wrote this off, CHASE. I called up Chase, paid off the small balance of $45.00 and penalties of $200.00. They were unwilling to assist me with my credit score and required the entire balance. I WILL NEVER USE CHASE WHATSOEVER, EVER! And I closed my existing Amazon Prime account. There are a lot of good banks, but I would avoid Chase at all costs!!!!

Chase Travel is horrible. I booked a higher rate resort room through them for the view (ocean). I had to call Chase on the day of my travel to make sure that I have a room, got to the resort and was given a room with the view of the parking lot and a sliver of an ocean view. I was told by the resort front desk that that is what Chase Travel booked. Resort was willing to put me in the ocean view room but was unable to because they were full. Stayed in the parking lot view room the whole time. I contested the higher charge amount with Chase but was not able to get a credit because Chase Travel can overcharge you and supposedly it's in their terms of agreement. But if they overpaid for your stay, you have to pay them. If they overcharge, it is okay for them to keep your money. It does not matter whether you get the room that you paid for or not. Sounds like a great money scam.

Recently, Chase reviewed my credit limits and reduced them by close to 100%. My Sapphire card in particular was dropped from $18,000 to $2,700. Context: I had a balance of $1,700 at the time which is a usage percentage of less than 10% and across all of my cards, a usage rate of 20%. Chase decreased my limit to be just above my current balances which in my opinion is egregious and unreasonable but also strategic. And according to Chase, this significant drop was due to the existing balances on all my cards as well as "other factors" they got from the Credit Bureau - very ambiguous reasoning to say the least. One representative even suggested I check with Credit Bureaus to make sure they had been given accurate information - spineless.

On top of this, the options they gave me to rectify the issue all required them to pull my credit report which by no coincidence is now weaker because Chase decreased my limits to be just above maxed out amount in the first place. It's hard for me to see this as nothing other than a malicious attempt by a big bank to interfere with the credit and spending power of hard middle class workers as myself. Because they go unregulated they can make arbitrary decisions that have significant impact to my credit history with 0 accountability. For years, I have kept an excellent credit history and will now have to repair the damage they've made to get things back on track. DO NOT BANK with Chase. They are spineless, lack accountability and provide 0 loyalty to their long-time customers. Not worth the effort or headache.

Really bad service from some supervisors especially Logan. I used a balance transfer check from Chase for $9000 back on April 27th, 2023. I deposited the check at University credit union atm and I am not a member. I am a member of Navy Federal credit union. Navy Federal never cleared the check. They said it was fraud. Chase said they paid it that the funds have been released. I asked for proof of where the funds were released to, and they can't tell me that information. They sent me copy of check, but the check just has where it was deposited not who cashed it at what bank. It's almost 4 months and still no money and I am paying both Navy Federal credit card and Chase credit card and I am out $9450 that includes Chase fees. Not including interest on my Navy Federal credit card for past 4 months.

We decided to attempt to consolidate banking around fewer companies and chose Chase because I have had business with them on both the credit cards and brokerage accounts. Started by opening additional investments and then made the move to open a new credit card for my home expenses. (I already have a card for my business.) Card arrives and we transfer all our autopays to new card. We have a large expense for the home that comes up unexpected. Charge it to the card and realize the new card has a lower limit and we will be needing to use the card on an upcoming trip. So we make a 14,000 payment electronically to chase to free up credit. Monitor the online account and see that the payment cleared with chase. While traveling the card starts to get declined. When we arrived back home call continue about the declined card.

Called Chase. Excuse 1 was something vague about system updates. Excuse 2, new card. Except that I am a very old customer. Excuse 3. "We can hold your payment up to 7 days, it is in your agreement." Very rude and delivered with a "we don't care attitude". Very dishonest to take the payment, show it on the account and in the background holding the money essentially in their own account. I'm done with Chase!!! I won't give them them the chance to delay my payments again.

Three years ago I ended up on life support in the ICU, and everything has been pretty much downhill since then, which includes a new disability, being unable to work, and having to go onto SSDI. So, did this stop Chase from harassing me and suing me for a debt of less than $5,000, which btw, they get to collect from their insurance company anyway? Nope. So aside from being hospitalized more than 20 times in the last two years, having a large section of my small intestine removed, and seeing specialists every week, they still somehow feel I'm "intentionally" not paying them. I have two credit cards with Chase. One had...Had a large line of credit. (+10,000) The card was being paid down to where it had...HAD approx $4000 credit available. May 2022, again in Jan 2023, Chase lowers the limit to approx $400 over the balance. When I asked why, they said my credit score. Their actions of lowering the limit, increased my overall credit card usage and lowered my credit rating by increasing my overall credit card usage. This is what they cite as the reason they keep lowering the limit as we continue to pay it down. Every time we pay the card balance down, they lower the credit limit citing my overall credit card usage. Which would be ~70% vs 95%... All I get is a circular argument every time I engage them. They also use that excuse to increase the interest rate (9% to 17.75%). The problem is I am at their mercy and they feed like the sharks they are.

I do not pay for utilities in my office of business etc. and could not provide such documentation. Instead, I was asked for non-applicable documentation such as a fictitious business name, which is not applicable for sole proprietors using their own name for business.

There were 4 bullet items listed as acceptable items for proof of address, and apparently legal documentation does not count. Yet, I was told by two different representatives that there were additional items that could be provided such as my business license, or bank statement, yet I was still denied because these are “not on their list” after-all?! Yes, it’s great for getting points. I have literally spent over $100k on my card. I only use it instead of debit to get points. But here’s the catch - using them and their support when you’re abroad is HORRIFIC!! Like I cannot even begin to explain how bad. Examples are: spent 7 hours on the phone with them Christmas Eve for them to tell my I was not booked with my family to Morocco. In fact, I was booked and received confirmation from airline. After they cancelled me - I missed Christmas in Morocco with my family. My entire family went without me.

When I was returning from Morocco the airline overbooked me so I called to get help getting home and after 3 1/2 hours on the line, the agent said you have to stay in Morrocco for 25-48 hours until we send emails to find out what happened or pay $1800 to get home. Again my family all left me and I was alone. When you ask for a supervisor - they refuse and say they are the top. When you ask for escalation - no one ever calls back even though they promise within 48 hours. They take your phone number to call back but on 6 different occasions they never called me back and I had to start over from scratch.

I love traveling abroad so I hate to make this statement but it’s factual - their after-hours department is an Asian nation and they do NOT - I repeat DO NOT - understand what you’re saying or how to help. So you have to fumble and fumble and fumble until they finally understand. They will NOT transfer you. Bottomline - this card is great for points but TERRIBLE for actually using the card for travel. So DO NOT get this card. I’m cancelling and moving on!!!

The payment plan function allows you to, in theory, pay a one time fee to split up larger purchases into scheduled payments. This doesn't matter, though, because Chase will automatically put ANY payment you make towards you plan. Basically, they will collect your one time fee, then completely negate the benefits of the payment plan and then customer service will tell you that you should have read the fine print. I recently paid for a large vacation package and am now trapped into paying it all in full or dealing with very steep interest charges and my credit score being impacted. I'd recommend an Amex travel card over Chase, their plan it feature is easy to use, fair, and they don't LIE to their customers.

I have had two Chase credit cards for years. They use to be good on service issues but not anymore. They will not back you up if you have a dispute, ever. All disputes are resolved in favor of the merchant for made up reasons. They have transferred customer service to a call center in the Philippines, they are almost impossible to understand due to heavy accents.

Writing to express my great disappointment in the JP Morgan Chase Travel group and to recommend people to not book through JP Morgan Chase Travel. If there is ever any issue, they will not do anything to fix the issue and all they will do is provide empty promises even when the issue was created by their employee. We have experienced nothing but poor customer service all the way around. Here’s our experience.

We had a trip booked to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving break. However, we had to cancel the trip two days before the departure date because my husband’s father suffered a cardiac arrest event and was admitted to the hospital. We were told that he was not expected to make it, so obviously we decided to cancel our trip. We called JP Morgan Chase Travel on November 16, 2022 to explain the situation and the reason for cancellation of our flights. The Chase Travel agent we spoke with verbally confirmed that our flights (departing on November 18, 2022) had been cancelled and she also confirmed that we had one year to rebook our flights. We found out on November 28, 2022 that the JP Morgan Chase Travel agent did not do her job and she neglected to cancel our flights per our instructions. As a result, we now have no flight credit and are out the money for our airplane tickets.

We escalated the issue with the supervisors. The first supervisor we spoke with said that they reviewed the recorded line information and said there is nothing they can do for us because the airline shows the first leg of the trip as a “no-show”. The supervisor then proceeded to apologize profusely and said he doesn’t understand how their Chase Travel agent messed everything up so badly. He continued to apologize and said training is needed for the agent, but unfortunately there was nothing they can do given the airline records showing a “no-show”. He admitted that it was their mistake. He promised to see if he could escalate further - we never heard back from him.

We followed up with another Chase Travel supervisor and given the situation with the outbound ticket showing as “no-show”, she suggested contacting the sapphire reserve card benefits group to file a claim because they would likely be in a better position to help us. I am currently waiting for a response from the claims department as well, but given how badly the Chase Travel group messed up the flight cancellation instructions (tickets showing “no-show”), I’m not hopeful. By the way, the second supervisor also said she would follow up and try to escalate the matter on our behalf - we never heard back from her either.

My husband’s father ended up passing away. This has been the worst Thanksgiving, made exponentially worse by Chase Travel. Going forward, I will only book

directly through the carrier or hotel that I’m going to use. Why you may ask?? I had booked hotel accommodations through booking.com. We shared the situation with the booking.com representative to see what our options were and according to him, given our timeframe, the 1st night of our hotel stay was non-refundable. We called the hotel directly (Hilton) and we explained the situation - Hilton refunded our 1st-night deposit. That is why, from now on, I will only book direct with the travel provider I plan on using. Hilton’s accommodation was above and beyond” customer service and for that, they have earned my loyalty and business going forward. Hilton truly cares about their customers above all else! That’s refreshing!

I will never book travel through third-party travel agencies again and I strongly recommend anyone using JP Morgan Chase Travel. The points earned are absolutely not worth the time, energy and mental health you will have to sacrifice to attempt to resolve problems caused by their own agents when they arise because you will get zero support. Everything is great when things work. However, when things are truly messed up as with our situation, the interactions with JP Morgan Chase Travel have been a nightmare. It’s truly disappointing that JP Morgan Chase admitted that their employee “messed up”, apologized profusely and then said “unfortunately we can not do anything about the situation”, all in the same breath.

I asked my daughter who lives down there to put the small amt to cover it since I was at work up here all day. They would not allow her to deposit into my checking acct. unless she had my bank card...Now in a panic I am calling bank manager...I wound up using my joint banking\visa credit joint online acct.

I had an offer to put money from credit to checking at 4 percent upfront fee with no interest for 6 months. I kept getting interest billing on my credit card in months where I had used it even though I paid all of the revolving amt plus a hundred toward the promo acct...WELL apparently Chase is NOT unlike any other card I own where they use all of your payment towards your revolving to pay it off and the remaining toward your promo!!! I have complained to Chase and the OCC about this. What a rip off..They said there was fine print that I must not have seen online because I am blind in one eye....It turned out that the transfer from credit to checking took 4 or 5 days and the check almost bounced anyway!!! I had booked a vacation through the Chase Travel. One of the flights was canceled. I was not emailed by Chase or the airline. When preparing for the trip I found that it was canceled. I called the service line they just kept repeating that there were no notes on the cancelation. I asked why I wasn't notified and they said like they had for 20 minutes there was no notes on the cancelation. Because of this mistake I lost $500 because I had to buy a last minute one way ticket. With no answers or solutions provided they ended the call by asking if I wanted to sign up for a chase freedom card.

I understand that to a company like Chase, I am a number in the system but to rub my face in the powerlessness that I have by pitching me on another credit card from a company that just costed me $500, left a bitter taste in my mouth. Life is too short and there are too many credit cards to have to deal with this. To be fair this is just my experience but wanted to warn that it is more a churn and burn than a lasting credit card.

I'm beyond frustrated by the fraud department at Chase. My wife's credit card was stolen while traveling abroad and a fraudulent charge was made to the account. I locked my card and disputed the charge. We were issued new credit cards and were assured that the charge would be removed based on our fraud protection plan. After 5 days without our Chase cards, we finally received the replacement cards however the fraudulent charge remained on our account. When I called card services to inquire on the status of our claim, I was informed that they were handling it. However, unbeknown to me, the customer service agent proceeded to cancel the replacement cards we had just received instead of dealing with the fraudulent charge on the old card. Our "new" cards were therefore declined at the store for no reason resulting in a very embarrassing situation at the grocery store.

We are now once again waiting on replacement, replacement cards since there is no way to reactivate the "new" cards that the customer service representative cancelled without authorization. Once our replacement, replacement cards are received, I now have to go back and change this information with all the vendors after I just did this 2 days ago. Chase should really work on the training of their customer service representatives. I am ready to take my business elsewhere!

Chase has a policy of holding your payment for up to one week without giving you credit on your credit card account. This has happened to me several times on my Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa account. I have had this card for several years and have always paid off the balance in full and on time. I have never been delinquent and sometimes make a payment twice a month and always the full balance. This past week it was a real problem because it left me in the lurch because of some large charges. I make payments online, and always thru the Chase website. The money is withdrawn from my bank almost instantly. They have the money in their account. Period.

They never gave me a reason WHY they do this. After all they HAVE the money, there is no check to bounce. I'll tell you the Real reason they do this. They have one week of free float of the customer's money. This adds up to hundreds of millions of dollars of free cash that they do not have to pay interest on. This is not legal in most countries. When credit card companies receive payment they must credit the customer's account immediately. But Chase is another big bad bank and they can get away with it in the U.S. I am petitioning Southwest Airlines to find another bank for their Rapid Rewards program. One that is not greedy and fraudulent. I love Southwest Airlines and the Rapid Rewards program, and fly on Southwest twice a month on both business and pleasure.

I contacted Chase and said that I did not recognize why there would be double charges and that I was unable to contact the vendor. They sent me to their fraud department. After speaking to them Chase refunded me both $209.45 transitions. Then months later Chase declined my dispute, claiming that I called it fraud and I had to file it a dispute. I tried three different times to get transferred to someone to file a dispute of these charges, only to be kept on hold for over 30 minutes till I just hung up.

I finally got through to someone, only for them to tell me that it is too late to file a dispute; that the time limit has run out. I contacted Chase in a timely manner to bring this issue to them. They delayed it. Only after writing a letter to the Better Business Bureau did someone from Chase contact me. After asking them what could possibly be reason my card was charged twice, at the same place, and for the same amount within minutes of each; also, where was a copy of the two signed receipts, they just gave me the run around and said that they would simply not help and I was responsible for the double charge. Chase never had any intention of helping. Their claims of consumer protection are obviously fake.

My wife and I have credit scores around 800-830 b/w the two of us (thought I would start with this as to dispel any negative thinking about us from the reader - you). I had a Chase Prime card for quite some time and it was cancelled a few months back. I called Chase because I couldn’t use the card but I had not received my letter of cancellation yet. The company representative could not tell me why it was cancelled and when I finally received my letter it didn’t give an explanation - just said it was cancelled. I have called a couple more times in hopes that someone else could help me but the answer is floating somewhere in limbo. My wife’s Chase card (different account) was also cancelled around the same time with similar info given, or lack thereof…

I then applied for another Chase card, for both my wife and I, and went through the entire application process. We received our new joint cards after our application went through underwriting… so we thought we were good to go. I began to use my card and it again stopped working. I immediately called and they told me that it was put on hold and being reviewed because of the amount of money that was being used on it - something to do with making sure I wasn’t laundering money. Apparently I passed the test to find out that our new account was also closed and cards cancelled shortly thereafter. I kid you not.. The letter we received for these new cards said that these cards were cancelled for the same reason as the last cards. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??? We tried to call again and were both told that they didn’t have that info and couldn’t tell us.

Here are my thoughts and I could care less as to what the company rep claims… I run as many of my bills, payments and purchases as I possibly can to gain the reward points for cash back to the card - I don’t succumb to their deals as I’d prefer to just have cash back and make my own decisions on what to use it on. I pay my card off every month without fail. I feel as if they are cancelling my cards b/c they are not making enough on our family. I would love to hear the real reason if this is not, in fact, the reasoning behind all this wasted-time crap. I don’t ever plan to use Chase again… There are way too many other cards available to deal with this time and time again! We are going to try the Discover It card and am already excited to put Chase in the rear view!

I immediately reported the theft to the Montgomery County, Maryland Police Department where they opened a case number in order to investigate the theft. Since I did not have my phone with me I rushed home and was able to lock the three credit cards. Then I called Chase and CITI banks to report the theft. After reporting the thefts to the appropriate banks I noticed that there was a charge of $293.25 at the CVS Pharmacy next door to the LA Fitness Club. I called the CVS store and spoke to the manager on duty and informed him of the theft and asked him if he could save the pictures of the individual making the purchase at the POS.

Within three weeks of the theft I was contacted by a police officer of the MCPD. He had several questions regarding the theft and associated credit card numbers, at which time I informed him via email of relevant card numbers and the fact that a Chase credit card was in fact used at the CVS Pharmacy for a purchase of $293.25. In a subsequent email officer verified that he had gone to the CVS and verified footage of the individual making the unauthorized purchase using my credit card for a debit card which the individual later used in Florida.

I had to go overseas on a personal business trip and upon my return I was shocked to learn that Chase Fraud Prevention Department had sent me a letter stating that I had benefitted from the purchase at the CVS Pharmacy and accusing me of lying about the whole ordeal without supplying any evidence to support their accusation. They had reinstated a charge of $293.25 on my credit card charges due victimizing me for a second time. I called the Chase Fraud Prevention Department several times over a span of a week and they accused me of lying about the whole ordeal and that they were sure that I had been in possession of the stolen credit cards the whole time. I asked for their evidence concerning their accusations and they could not provide any.

They asked me for any supporting documents related to the thefts and I emailed the communications I had with police officer. I asked them to at least temporarily suspend their demand of the fraudulent charge of $293.25 while they investigated this whole matter and they adamantly refused. Therefore I find myself victimized again this time by the bank and am wondering where is the promise of zero responsibility for fraudulent charges that were promised to me which were one of the main reasons I applied for this credit card in the first place. All I can say after being subjected to some very brutal treatment by Chase Bank and their Fraud Prevention Department and their total lack of compassion for their card holders that this bank does not deserve my business and respect.

In calling for an explanation, it appears that somewhere in their fine print, their contract now says that if you miss even one payment, you will be charged interest for an additional two months beyond the first month you were charged interest as a penalty for missing that one payment regardless if you pay the bill on time.

We've had this account for years and always pay our bills on time and have credit scores over 800 on all three reporting agencies. I strongly recommend that anyone with a Chase Credit Card account, especially a credit card account that charges an annual fee of $95, cancel their account to avoid these excessive charges. We have cancelled our account and will be cancelling another Chase account and will not do business with this company unless the three months of interest are refunded. This is horrible customer service.

I always used my card at Christmas to get the rewards, basically I max it out and then pay it off in full around January or February every year, I have had this card for 5 years. I received a letter in the mail 2 weeks after I paid my balance off in full that they have lowered my credit limit to $500. I have never been late on a payment and I have EXCELLENT payment history on my credit report. I have never paid late or deferred payments due to the "pandemic" because I worked the entire time. I called to ask them if they could raise it back up. I was told they would need to run my credit for a reconsideration??? So in short they lowered the credit limit without running my credit, but they have to run my credit to give me back the limit that I had for the last 5 years?? I have canceled that card and I will never have another Chase card or any of their financial products. I will stick to Discover, Citi and Capital One, they understand what true customer loyalty is.

We called six times looking for help, "no, there is no fraud". Then a 1300 fraud charge shows up, so we request another card. They don't cancel. After another 4 calls, they finally cancel our card, and "send" us a new card, our credit is cut off until it arrives. The card is delayed a week, who knows why, and they refuse to communicate the new number...WHICH CITICARD WILL DO...until the card arrives. No credit for weeks. This is a horrible company once you have a problem. Do not use the card if you can avoid it.

I had an issue where my credentials were used without my authorization. A business charged my credit card 3 different unauthorized charges totalling over $6K. Chase refuses to accept that the charges were fraudulent, even though there is plenty of evidence to support my claims. They say that it isn't credit card fraud and there is no way for me to prove it wasn't, basically because the chip was used and because I had involvement with the business. The business in question has tons of bad reviews from other patrons who were victims of the same credit card scam. There were 2 other card issuers that were also affected. Discover and BBVA both gave me my money back and could see past the scam.

Chase doesn't use the same definition of Credit Card Fraud that the FBI or credit reporting agencies use. They have their own definition. Their definition of credit card fraud is, "If you were there, or had any personal dealings with the company, then it isn't fraud." They told me to take it up with the business, who obviously doesn't intend to return the money. Go with a different credit card issuer or bank.

I booked my Dec 14 flight months in advance through the Chase Travel portal with my points. I find out on Dec 13th (yes the day before my flight) that my flight did not exist (I'm panicking because I had a month-long trip completed planned and reserved). I call the airline (because surely this is a mistake) and they tell me this flight was canceled in late October. They said wherever I booked through should have notified me - it was through Chase. I'm spending hours on the phone with the airline and Chase the day before I'm supposed to fly out, while Chase confirms that they have no record of ever notifying me of this cancellation. I was understandably livid on the phone, and I said, "So what are you going to do about this, this is YOUR mistake" and the most the person on the phone could do was search for other flights with the same airline (which was limited in options).

I intentionally booked a direct flight to Costa Rica months in advance, and of course the day before this flight, there was no direct flight left and there was nothing available for a couple days. This was all the person on the phone offered me, I asked to speak to a Supervisor and she offered the same types of solutions. This was unacceptable, I needed a flight the next day. I finally said, "Just refund me the flights and I'll find something else myself" because Chase representatives were clearly limited to finding alternative flights within the same airline. I ended up having to book a more expensive, nondirect red-eye flight to Costa Rica (which means I got no sleep and a sore neck). After offering limited solutions, the supervisor said she would file a complaint and I should get a call from Chase in a couple days.

Fast forward to the end of my trip when I'm back in Los Angeles, I never got such a call and when I spent hours on the phone (again) with Chase Travel, they said they found no record of a claim and I had to submit one all over again. I was demanding some sort of compensation (on top of the refund) for the unnecessary stress and rebooking work I had to do myself for something that was THEIR FAULT (not to mention the poor customer service representative that never filed my first claim). I got an email back saying, "We're sorry for the inconvenience, we can't give more compensation on top of the refund and the difference of cost of the flights."

That was it - no compensation for my troubles and not at one point did anyone acknowledge this CRITICALLY SEVERE PROBLEM in miscommunication that happens with the airline and the end customer when booking through Chase Travel - and no one assured me that this wouldn't happen again. How am I supposed to confidently book with Chase again? Do better Chase. If nothing better happens from here, I will be canceling my Chase Sapphire credit card and warning others of this mishap.

They lower your credit limit and your credit report shows that you have a high usage of credit when you haven't use the credit card just because they reduce the limit. Please be aware because I am not the only customer that they do this and they don't care if you pay the credit cards on time and paying them off to zero balance. They will reduce the limit for no reason and affect your credit score. I'm planning to pay off all the accounts and close them because I rather not have credit cards that damage instead of helping. I've had a rough two years and Chase has been calling me every day this past month two or three times a day. I pay my credit line after liquidating my 401k to help me during this crisis as I only have one income and two children with a mortgage and bills. I pay the card and they lower my credit limit to 500 each card I had. I have two cards. One of the credit cards I've been very good with paying. The other I can say not really but I have one income and yes I had been struggling but the way they can call every day to ask for a payment is the same way they can call before lowering my credit line for reconsideration as they worded it.

When I called they said in order to give me the same credit line they had to run a credit hard report.... and then they'd reconsider it. Horrible horrible people. So close to Christmas and during a pandemic. No heart man. I lost my mother in law and have to sell my home and with all that I go and pay it off completely close to $5000 in hopes to have that as an emergency on the side and they go and just lower it without calling me like they did to get one month payment! I pay it off and they take it all and give me $500. Shame on you! I had been making payments. I missed a few payments. Understandable. I get it.. But I paid it in full. $5000 doesn't grow on trees then two days later you lower it! Now I can't do the reconsideration as I am going out of state. New job, new home... Having any kind of hard search on my credit will not be a good. So messed up.

All of my other credit card companies have waived late fees, eliminated minimum payments, increased my spending limit, or deferred payments. Chase is the only company that did anything like this. That’s poor customer service, in my opinion. Hurting a customer when they’re experiencing hardship for their own benefit is wrong. My minimum payment has now skyrocketed, because of the interest they now want to collect. I will never open another account with them again. Terrible company.

If you care about your bank fighting for you on disputes then this isn’t the bank to get involved with. I had a dispute about wrongful product sent from an organization and the bank claimed that the organization had “lawyers” who sent them pages and pages of document and I only send them 5 pages for my reasoning, upon which I asked what their reasoning was for allowing a wrong product sent to be claimed as correct, and Chase had no response. This went on back and forth for months while they kept bringing down my credit score for not paying even when I kept calling and telling them that the charges are being disputed (happened way too many times even though I called constantly). I finally made a big deal and took the documentations that I sent them with more paperwork physically to the chase bank.

They were the first to tell me the reasoning behind the charge which was after a long wait in their office while they called their call service. They told me that the reason was that I didn’t respond on time, lol which I laughed and showed them all the paperwork's. They didn’t seem to care too much what I was saying, seemed like I was a shoplifter trying to justify a reasoning. At this point they were gonna do anything to get me out the office. I promise you, chase does not have your back when it comes to wrongful dispute. I don’t care for reviews but this one really hurt because I was with them for 5 years and now I threw their card in the trash, hopefully it helps warn some of you.

Well, I have a Amazon/Chase rewards visa card. I never was sent a physical card. After calling Amazon several times asking them to talk to Chase Bank and explain so I can talk to an agent it is no use! Amazon has not helped me at all. I can't enroll on the Amazon/Chase Bank site to check balance and transactions.

When I have tried the phone numbers for Chase Bank they want your full card number to speak to an agent and I don't have my number because they never did send me a card! I think there should be a way to talk to an agent without your card number! Also, I am deleting my account with Amazon after all these years as a prime member and an Amazon rewards visa card holder! That means I am paying off my visa and deleting my account with Chase bank. Totally disgusted.

I made a $500 payment on September 1, 2020. They placed a hold on my payment limiting my access to funds because when I made a payment previously they did not include a "0" in my already preprogrammed payment account that never had issues in the past processing a payment. My bank rejected them because a "0" was dropped from the beginning of my account number. When I called to find out why there was an issue and they explained that a previous payment was rejected I informed them that the day that occurred I remitted the payment using the same account a second time and it went through. No one ever informed me this was going to happen. No one ever told me that my funds would be on hold for 8 days impacting my business.

When this is over I will pay what's left and close my account. My bank even offered to provide the verification that the money cleared my account. Their policies and procedure make no room to fix any mistakes they have made and leave the customer in a tight spot making decisions to pull funding from another account to supplement what they are withholding from their customer. Such a shame but even the discounts I received from Amazon for using this card are not worth the hassle. Life is not a game and neither is the ability to serve my customers ok in a timely manner.

I had a Chase Credit Card and in good standing credit score wise. They bought my car loan, and my mortgage so they owned my entire debt. The person I spoke said I wouldn't need to make a payment for 60 days due to the transition period between load companies. So I asked, thinking too good to be true, that I could not pay in December and spend the extra money on my family. I was told yes. I asked again if they were sure because I didn't want a double payment in January and was told they were sure. So I spent the money and the day before Christmas I got a notice about my mortgage being unpaid, that I would owe a double payment on January 1st or go to collections. They are either incompetent or liars. The phone system is also unhelpful and have to click multiple options with multiple notices to speak to anyway.

Finally they messed up my escrow payments and now I have to pay an extra $60 a month for the next 12 months to get back in line. I HATE CHASE SO MUCH. I paid off my credit card early just to reduce my debt to them and my car is next. I wish I had a say in who holds my mortgage. Please avoid them for credit cards, or loans. I primarily use the Chase Amazon rewards card - however I do have other Chase cards. We do quite a bit of shopping on Amazon due to our rural setting and we average ~$30 /month in Amazon "cash". We also have most of our monthly bills on the card as well. We are extremely diligent to pay off the card at the end of each month - otherwise the rewards amount would really dwarf the amount of interest accumulated each month. Although the interest rate on the Chase Amazon card is better than some/most, it's still in the 20's% range. I recall back when we first got the card (5-10 yrs ago) there was an introductory rate of 0% for about a year. This allowed us to do about $15K improvements around the house at an affordable interest rate (allowing us to make double or triple monthly payments) that was converted to a low interest rate loan with a much lower principal after the year was up. I have no idea if this program is still in place.

The United Explorer card. Up front, it's astonishingly good. Miles galore just for signing up! Why, you can find a flight that's practically free after spending the amount listed in the offer. My introduction to the card made me feel like I had stumbled onto something really good. But when Air Canada cancelled a flight I had booked to Europe because of Covid, and wouldn't refund the cost, things went downhill fast.

I filed a dispute by phone after purchasing the tickets in December, 2019, which Chase promptly misplaced. After not hearing from them, I called to find my account was two months delinquent and that they had not disputed the charge. I opened a second dispute. A few weeks later, I received a letter from Chase stating that since I had not provided substantiating documentation as requested, the second claim had been discontinued. What? No substantiating documentation was requested by them! I filed a dispute a third time after speaking with them, and the third time was golden. I received a refund.

But the damage from this string of ineptitude was devastating. My credit line on that card, and on a second Chase card was reduced because of my delinquency in paying the charge. From $22,000 to $2500 on that card, and from $14,000 to $6,000 on the second. Considering the yearly fee, a Walmart size credit limit is ridiculous for a business card. After numerous conversations with Chase employees, I got nowhere. In conclusion, the card is great, as long as you never need to use customer service or dispute a charge.

Will not be continuing to use any Chase credit cards. I am extremely disappointed in my experience with Chase and their Sapphire Reserve Card. I booked a hotel through a third party company, Secret Escapes (SE), to visit Jamaica in late April. Due to Covid the hotel was closed during this time and my trip had to be cancelled. I tried to receive a refund from the company but they repeatedly stated that they act as a broker and that my contract is with the hotel. I confirmed with the hotel that they received no payment from SE and therefore SE is illegally holding my money for services they did not provide.

After exhausting my options of trying to work directly with the company, I filed a dispute with Chase. Without contacting me or validating any of the facts provided by SE, Chase closed the dispute stating it was a valid charge because I had cancelled the trip. This was of course blatantly false. After calling multiple times (twice where I was hung up on mid-call), I was informed that in order to reopen the case I would have to either mail or fax a letter stating my request to reopen the dispute. In addition to the letter explaining the situation, I provided evidence of SE’s terms and conditions stating that in the event a booking was cancelled by the hotel they would provide a refund and proof that SE did not pay the hotel.

I tried faxing 3 times but the number they provided did not connect. I then mailed the documents. After no word for two weeks, I called to check on the status. I was told the documents had not been received and to call back in a couple days. I did so, having to wait on a long queue to get in touch with someone. Again I was told the documents had not been received and to call back in a couple days. I then went into a branch to talk to a representative directly. After 2 hours, they were able to fax the documents on my behalf. A week and another phone call later, Chase finally reopened the dispute.

Two weeks later (and almost 3 months after the initial dispute was created) I received a response from Chase stating that while I may have a valid complaint with the merchant, this is not a billing error and concluded the charges were valid. However I was not claiming that this was a billing error, I was disputing on the grounds that this was a fraudulent charge for services not provided. Other credit card companies found similar cases with SE as fraud and returned the money to their customers. With the amount they charge for this card and the fact that it is supposed to be a travel card marketing perks of travel protection, I am less than impressed and will be looking for alternative options once my annual fee is up.

Chase Bank is trying to make me pay for a $1,200 fraudulent purchase on my account. I alerted them immediately to the fraud. They temporarily removed it from my account, but then after doing an “investigation” they say I “benefited from the transaction.” Utterly false. This charge was made at a store that I don't even shop at. Chase has provided no information to support their decision. When I try to call them and speak to a manager with authority they refuse to escalate the call. The employees are completely unhelpful and useless. Every one associate tries to transfer it to another department. I have spoken with the fraud department, the payments department, customer service and collections. Every department refuses to help.

I think the retailer pushed back on Chase because they didn't want to eat the big charge-back and Chase is trying to push this back on me. I think they are trying to preserve funds to offset COVID-19 losses. They are in violation of the law and they don't care. Do yourself a big favor and close your accounts with Chase if you are an existing customer. This could happen to you too! There are numerous good banks around that are honest and operate in good faith, Chase Bank is not one of them. Avoid Chase at all costs.

My mother has memory issues and had a magazine company charging her 300 dollars every 2 weeks for magazines. We called Chase reported the fraud and the took off all the charges while they investigated. After a month they sent a letter and a bill for all the charges. She responsible for the charges. I sent multiple emails with all sorts of information about the fraudulent company. What a joke. Very disappointing.

I have contacted Chase Card Services (for Amazon Prime Visa) through Chase Message Center on multiple occasions to prove to them that I am an Amazon Prime Member, but I am still not getting 5% cash back on my Whole Foods Purchases (only 3%, which is for non prime members). I had attached a screen shot from my amazon account showing the last 4 digits of my card number and proof that Amazon knows I should be getting 5% back on Whole Food Purchases (as well as Amazon purchases). I am getting 5% back from Amazon purchases, but not Whole Foods. I spend hundreds of dollars a month at Whole Foods and have been losing out on what I was promised since January. I have interacted with no less than six people at Chase and none of them seem to get it that the issue is on Chase Bank side!

About once a year there is a bogus credit card charge on my statement and cust service can't provide more info like phone number or address. But if you deny claim innocence, account and you have to contact all vendors with reoccurring charges and update them.

They can't provide any address or phone number of the bogus charge. The merchants should be forced to provide more details other than some acronym, city and state! Why can't Chase force them to provide more info! If you tell Chase you didn't make the charge they immediately close the account, put a security hold on your card! Dispute dept quick to call it fraud and transfer to security to close your account! Why can't dispute dept research the vendor and provide more information like phone number and address!!!

Recently our credit cards were stolen and fraudulently used. It didn't take long for us to catch on because I began getting alerts on my phone within hours. We immediately began cancelling all of our cards which was time consuming because this just so happened right at the time when everyone began shutting down due to covid-19 but we got it done. All of our credit cards promptly removed the charges from our account except one. Chase bank. They sent us a letter claiming that we gave this criminal, who is currently in jail because they caught him within 24 hours, authorization to use our cards.

When I tried calling the number on the back of the letter to discuss. I got a recording saying they are not answering the phone and to leave my name and number and the fraud department will call back. Did that. No call back. No way to reach anyone to resolve. Everyone using covid-19 as a piss poor excuse for piss poor customer service. You can't catch a virus over the phone. But I'm sure they wouldn't hesitate to call if I simply stopped paying the bill. We have been a chase customer for over a decade. We have one incident and they don't have our back. Steer clear of Chase. They will stab you in the back first chance they get. If you want a good credit card, go with Discover. Good, no nonsense, customer service.

I have never written a review, but.... during a national pandemic, when US citizens are out of jobs and waiting for unemployment checks, I was denied a $67 purchase from a grocery store because my credit card was 5 days past due. I submitted my $300 payment that morning which would have brought my balance to zero. The customer service rep saw that the payment was pending and that it would pay my balance in full, but still denied the charge. She said there was nothing she could do. But they waive people's $39 late fees?? This was at 6 pm on Friday May 1st 2020. At 5 am on Saturday, May 2nd, the payment was processed and my balance was paid in full. Are you kidding me???

Their motto is "We appreciate your business and our customers are the most important thing to us". They also are on a kick to "Help our customers during this Coronavirus Pandemic." I am truly disappointed that such a large company would do this during these times over $67 for groceries. I have been a loyal customer with Chase since early 1990's. I pray I am the only one they do this to. Shame on them.

My Chase Ink Small Business Card card had a large, unauthorized purchase charged to the card. Unlike their consumer-based cards like, Chase Freedom or Chase Slate, who will often alert you of suspicious activity -- Chase Ink doesn't. My fraud carried over two billing cycles before being discovered. When I became aware I contacted Chase immediately. The fraud department representative was snarky. When it's your small business and you're concerned about additional fraud, a snarky rep is the last thing I needed. Long story short...Chase resolved the issue, but their business card services side is lousy. I eventually dumped the Chase Ink and got the Capital One Spark card instead. Much better card.

Bad Experience #1: Called customer service (50 min hold) with concern monthly statement not received and payment due in 8 days. Requested fax copy of statement. Told a fax statement would be sent within 4 hours. Confirmed fax # with rep. Days later, not received. Payment due tomorrow. Lack of follow through extremely disappointing. Business rule #1: deliver on your promise!

Bad Experience #2: Son had injury and taken to ER. Needed ride home. Unable to pick him up due to COVID-19. Called taxi service to pay for ride from ER to his home. Transaction declined (approximately $20). Called customer service 1:30 pm ET (800-888-8756) - on hold for one hour 40 minutes - looping message to remain on the line, a rep will be with you shortly. Called same # on another phone at 3:00 pm. Main menu stated center is closed, opens again Monday. Called a different # and received closed message. Meanwhile, on the original call still told to remain on the line, a customer service rep will be with you.

No menu option re declined transaction (Main menu implies there is - nope). Pay balance on card each month so this is NOT an over limit or past due situation. Web site offers NO emergency assistance call #s or online chat options. Instead directs one to download mobile app (did not work), sell new products or set up online banking. If this is the best Chase Credit Card can do, not opening any other accounts after these two back-to-back fiascoes.

So in these annoying times Chase of course has been no help when something serious happens. Was called due to suspicious activity. They told me I was being sent a new card and not to log into my account until they called me. I waited all day and then 3 days in fact only to find none of what was described to me had happened. My account is still receiving suspicious charges and wow I've now waited almost 4 hrs on hold with different apparently wrong departments. After closing their locations I can not simply go in and get help. See you in hell Chase.

I feel that it is VERY important to share positive news about a company I have been a customer with for a while. Of course I needed help with my April payment. Chase set up a toll free number that you can call, it's all automated and processes your request for a deferred payment. The system approved me for 3 months. Do you know how much that will help!? Yes I know interest will still be charged, but that's in the agreement I acknowledged when I got the card. No big deal. This process was very quick and easy. I appreciate Chase for that process and will continue to maintain my relationship with them. Great job!!??

Pick any other company other than Chase for a credit card! They do not have your back as they’ve always claimed. This credit card is tied to my checking and savings account, & I’ve always paid this card the day it’s due. I started looking over my statements and realized that Chase has been charging me a late fee every month, but also placed a reversal charge on the very same day they charged the late fee. Now, after looking this over I noticed my interest rate was sky high. So I looked over a year of statements and noticed how their late fee tactic affected my interest rate increase. I called to inform them of the mishap, but they would not lower the interest rate. Now, I'm unsure how I can even get a late fee when so many other accounts are tied to this one, but that’s all aside from the fact that it wasn’t even late! This card makes so much money off late fees & interest rates alone, as all credit companies. I cannot wait to pay this account off.

I have been banking with them for 15 t years. When you call customer service and you want to inquire about a loan or so forth, they are very nice and helpful. But if you call and having money temporary money problems you are treated horribly. They are not very accommodating. But beware if they do. It generally comes with a big price! I called early in March to ask for help with months cc payments due to being laid off from the Coronavirus. They said they would. And a few days later I got a letter in mail from them telling me that was February and I owed them by the 25 of March. Even though the phone rep said wouldn't be due until April 25. They do not follow what they promise you when making deals with them. I say that is bad business and bad communication.

I am 100% dissatisfied. I always call every month to pay my bill. Never late. I called tonight at 12:08 a.m. I was on hold 2 hours 39 minutes and 29 seconds. It's during the Corona virus so I didn't care I wasn't upset. What I cared about was they hung up on me before I've got to talk to a customer service. A recording said something. I didn't hear what it said and she hung up. I did not want to pay my bill. I was so mad but I paid it online. I'm just going to get this card paid off and close this account.

Talk about a case study in opposing types of customer service today! Earlier I called CitiBank and requested a lower APR. Their supervisor listened to me and lowered it from 13.65% to 9.99%. She went above and beyond with an unrequested and pleasantly surprising waiver of my last interest charge plus a $100 bonus to my rewards center. Truly made me feel heard and appreciated; like am I ever going to close that account? Wow!

Then I called my Chase card with the same initial request and in the same calm manner...Daniel, the Chase floor supervisor and third person I spoke with, didn't listen to me and his response to my request was that he couldn't and wouldn't do anything. He treated me as if I was a greedy, entitled child trying to 'get' something from Chase that I didn't deserve. Said that Chase doesn't negotiate APR with anyone and no one there empowered to lower the rate. His response was that the 16.99% APR was actually really great and many others had rates between 17-25% so I was lucky. Also shared that I could always close the card if best decision for me. He eagerly expressed a willingness and desire to help me with that.

In addition, he said there was nothing he could or would do even after I shared my prior experience with CitiBank. I shared my hope was to keep the card active and not feel that I needed to transfer the balance to another card and close the account. Surely there was something he could do as a supervisor to avoid having a customer close their account and feel horrible about their experience. When I asked if I could speak with anyone else there he said no. But he did graciously offer me a fax number (847-787-5509) if I wanted to reach out to someone higher.

I don't normally write reviews but today I am making an exception for Chase and CitiBank. I'm a loyal customer of both. Both demonstrated their level of customer service today. Citibank was amazing. Chase was laughingly horrible all on their own but even more so when contrasted to how a competitor treated my exact same request.

I have been building my credit history for about 25 years. Paid off my college loan, few cars, house mortgage, credit cards loans. Never missed payments. Excellent credit history up until last month. I have been in the middle of reconstructing my new 2 family house, trying to prepare for some supplemental income when I retire in few years. My 15 years old daughter died 4 years ago, I am a divorced mother of 18 years old boy. I have so much on my mind! I missed payment to Chase Credit Card. First time ever. Without any warning call or email, my credit history suddenly dropped from 780 to 601!!!! 2 points from terrible!!! I immediately paid the bill. I called them, wrote letter, apologizing, admitting that I made a mistake, first time ever. They wrote me back, that they were right. Well, I admitted that it was my fault. But do I deserve to have my credit history ruined for years?

I wrote to BBB. And today I got a phone call from the executive office from Chase. The guy, again, told me, that he is sorry, but they are right. I missed my payment and it has to be reported to the credit bureau. Ok. I admit, that they are right that I missed 1 payment. But are they right, that I am untrustworthy, reckless consumer that all other banks need to be warned about? Because that is what their action speaks about. Times are so hard financially to raise children, especially for a divorced mother. Of one live and one dead child. Banks, that got bailed out with our taxpayer money shouldn't have rules that are not well thought out. It isn't enough to be right in one instance. And the action to remedy the problem shouldn't be disproportionate.
