I was lured into opening up a Chase Credit because of a 75,000 bonus point offer. The offer required that I charge more than $3000 within the first 90 days. 3 of my 1st six purchases were declined and I have at least 5 others within the past month. They were declined for fraud suspicion and, I lost the points I would have earned. I submitted a request that I be awarded those points but was declined. If I have a credit card that keeps getting declined, I will use a different one. This has been nothing but a pain in the....

Worst business card. I opened a business account on behalf of the company owner. I was just an employee. I was told by Chase that this was not a problem and I would only be opening the account, not responsible for it. After 4 years, I decided to leave the company and now Chase is holding me responsible for the company’s expenses. The company and I have filled out all the paperwork Chase required to transfer the account to the company’s owner, but they keep denying it. They also will not let the owner have access to pay the bill. This is a nightmare. I think I’m going to have to get lawyers involved.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Chase customer service. I’ve had this credit card for years, started with a $6,000 limit, and have always made my payments on time. Despite this, my credit limit has been gradually reduced over time with no notice or explanation. When I finally called to ask about it, the representative acknowledged that the limit decreases had occurred, but instead of providing a professional explanation or solution, they proceeded to shame me for actually using the card and for having other revolving credit accounts. That was not only inappropriate, but completely unhelpful.
Using a credit card responsibly and maintaining multiple accounts is normal and expected for many customers. Being spoken to in a condescending, judgmental manner—especially when I’ve never missed a payment—was unacceptable. Credit limit changes without transparency are frustrating enough. Being treated disrespectfully on top of that has seriously damaged my trust in Chase.

Horrible experience. Will not deal with this company again. Chase is sending me messages that I did not pay anything on my last bill. My bank statement shows I paid 10x the minimum payment. The Chase website shows no payment. I spent over an hour trying to send a message with text anywhere on the site. The boilerplate forms only allow you to respond to click answers with no way to respond besides the company's choices. From the various dumps of info I put anywhere I could on the useless site, I did not receive a response. Don't waste your time or money on this company.

I hate Chase so much. I got my credit card through them 20 years ago and it is my oldest card. I am careful with my credit score and they actively try to diminish it. I’m not talking about missing payments. Obviously that should reduce your score. I am talking about the bank's unilateral decision to reduce the credit limit simply because I don’t use the card for much or often. Part of a credit score is a credit utilization rate, or, the amount of money you owe compared to how much they have made available. The lower that number, the higher your score. Chase has reduced my limit TWICE, without asking, and for no reason other than I’m not using the card enough. By lowering my limit, they consequently increase my utilization rate, which lowers my credit score. So this bank punishes good credit behavior. They suck.

Chase doesn't care about shutdown government employees. My spouse is government employees affected by the shutdown. We advised Chase in early October and asked for a payment arrangement for our credit cards. Thank request is still under review in early December. Collection calls keep coming. Some representative are understanding but most are far from it. Now arrangement has been made so they expect the full payment now. Each new call is yet another rep who hasn't bothered to read the notes and is completely clueless about what is going on. Poor service, incompetent reps, I've closed my accounts and this credit card will be shredded as soon as it's paid off.

I wish I could give zero stars. I have been an Amazon prime Visa holder for years. I dealt with identity theft in August and had to have my bank account frozen while I sorted it out. During this time I missed ONE payment. You can bet Chase called me immediately to rectify the situation. I paid over the phone. The next month, I find out that my bank had closed the branch of my savings that I had been paying my years of auto pay with. My mistake! But you guessed it, Chase is on top of it and they call immediately. I finally get it fixed. That's September.
Three weeks ago, mid-November I paid my entire balance. Then I want to use my card and it declines. I call to inquire why and I'm told they mailed me several notices that because of my late payments they had closed my accounts. BOTH OF THEM. My instacart card which I almost never used and had only a $500 balance, they closed that one too for good measure. Nobody ever called and said my account was in jeopardy, I paid auto-pay for years until my identity theft incident and not 1 ounce of humanity was given but you could bet I paid that 30% interest every month! This company is careless of its customers and I don't even know how this type of usury is allowed in America but it's our own fault because we allow it. I should really be giving myself a one-star review for being so stupid as to sign up with these thieves.

I chose to do a balance transfer with Chase to pay off a high interest cc with another company. I am now paying chase AND the high interest cc because chase claims they sent the check but are unable to see if it has been cashed to which I am making payments to, and the high interest cc company says they have not received a payment from chase.
I get to be the mediator to which I have zero clue of what the processes are or what is going on. All the while both cc companies are telling me to call the other and NOTHING is getting resolved. I thought I was doing good to save myself some money and get a cc paid off. Now I am paying double to a card who claims they made the payment and to the other who claims they never received the payment. Neither companies have done anything and are not helping. My high interest rate cc does have much nicer customer service agents. Chase customer service has been unhelpful and rude telling me sorry I just gotta deal and figure it out myself and I was told sorry and hung up on. So now I have caused myself to come out of pocket more an because of mistakes on their end, not mine.

After being a customer for a couple of years I am appalled. The horrible customer service and the outlandish fees are criminal. After paying off my credit card in its entirety I kept accumulating more fees, I paid up and closed out and I am so grateful to never have to interact with them again. The process of closing my accounts was horrendous, more fees, more underpaid (and probably poorly treated) customer service reps who just didn’t care what they were doing to you. For context, I closed a Bank of America account the same day and the process was easy and costless. I would absolutely become a BofA customer again, but never again will I disrespect myself by having anything to do with Chase Bank.

Application was blocked twice due to suspected identity fraud; once is fine and expected; even perhaps a great thing that they have these protections in place! But after speaking with specialist on the phone, and then sending in several documents (birth certificate, passport, etc. etc.), they flagged and denied again on suspected fraud. I don't think it's worth it to follow up to spend another half an hour in endless looping telephone tag calls - I will take business elsewhere.

The Guide to Benefits for the Chase Sapphire Reserve card stated "The cardholder and immediate family members are covered (for trip cancellation) when the....Cardholder charges ALL OR A PORTION OF A TRIP TO HIS OR HER CREDIT CARD." We booked a trip that was insured through our card, and had a death in the family. When we called Chase, we found out that AFTER we booked our trip they changed insurance companies and removed that clause from their benefits.
NOW, they will not abide by the contract that was in effect when we booked our trip. They have also changed insurance companies. The new insurance company told us that they are not responsible for any benefit confusion booked prior to their engaging with Chase. The old company has also refused to take responsibility for this. SHOULDN'T IT BE CHASE WHO MANAGES THIS? We have called several dozen times in the last six months trying to get this issue resolved. We can't! This is an expensive credit card. Customer service said they cannot help me. On the Chase app, I cannot find where to verify the payments that were sent to my bank. I have tried to set up two forms of payment and both were “returned”. My bank said there was no indication that Chase even tried to charge my bank. I have never been so confused with doing this type of thing in my life. Now, I’m trying to go paperless. This is the WORST CC to have. I have had this Chase card for years. First let me say my credit score in in the HIGH 700's. My interest rate was set at 29.99%. That is a rip off. I called to have it reduces and was told, "oh, we don't do that." Really? Oh okay. So at that point I decided to pay these Loans Sharks off. I called for the pay off. I sent them the EXACT amount stated my pay off was. I verified a $0.00 balance. I just received my October statement and they charged me interest on a $0.00 balance!!!!🤬🤬🤬. That is some serious crap! I called and wanted to know how I owed interest on a zero balance. They came up with an amount that they could not explain. I was extremely mad to say the least.
I could barely understand the customer service agent. She kept on talking in circles claiming I owed the interest but could not tell me where the $290.00 came from to charge me the interest. I was done with her and asked for a Supervisor. I could barely understand him but was a little better. He was absolutely NO help as well. He could not explain where this $290.00 came from to charge me interest. All he kept telling me was this is the last payment owed?!? I was like WTF!!!! The last payment? Seriously? I paid this stinking card off, they proceeded to pull some dollar amount out of their collective ** to charge me one last time. This was a joke! Chase literally stole money from me and pretended I owed it. I will tell anyone and everyone, DO NOT GET A CHASE CC! You will regret it. We’re just a few months into using our new Chase credit card, and already we’re running into frustrating inefficiencies. I made two payments from our Chase checking account to our Chase Visa card—one yesterday and one today. The funds were immediately debited from our checking account, and I noticed yet the available credit on the card hasn’t increased at all (for both payments). So, I called customer service, I was told it takes up to three days for payments to post. That explanation doesn’t make sense—these are internal transfers within the same bank. So why the delay? Even the representative agreed and said she would escalate the issue.
It feels like Chase is profiting off this lag—collecting interests (consumers lost the deposit interests, unlikely, if any) while withholding available credit. In my opinion, this is a form of double dipping. Big banks should not be using internal inefficiencies to their advantage, especially when the money has already left the customer’s account. Imagine if someone is paying a cash advance rate or carrying a balance with high interest—those extra three days can be costly to the consumer and profitable for the bank. This kind of delay undermines trust and transparency.

The Reservation Desk.com employee assured me of all kinds of accommodations I had requested to ensure my disabled friends and I had a great trip. Well, we got nothing we requested so I disputed it with Chase and they sided with reservation desk .com, citing that we did in fact stay at the condo. We had driven for 6 hours to "no man's land" and did not see any options on our way there. We weren't about to start looking for another place at 6:30 PM! It definitely cast an unpleasant overtone on our vacation.
Our ability to access our room was severely limited as we had to climb 1 1/2 flights of stairs to reach it. Instead of double beds we got bunk beds, just what almost 70 year old ladies hope for ! ...In stark contrast, my experience with Chase has been frustrating and disappointing. I opened a Chase Visa credit card because some retailers do not accept American Express, but I regret that decision. The customer service has consistently fallen short of expectations. It feels as though customers are not valued as the bank's greatest asset; instead, interactions often feel transactional and impersonal. When I have needed assistance, the highest-ranking representative I could reach was a supervisor, which left me wondering why higher management isn’t accessible for clients who contribute to the bank's profitability. This lack of availability raises questions about the bank's commitment to customer satisfaction. Additionally, the bank's policy of holding funds for an unreasonable length of time is frustrating. They claim it can take up to 120 days to establish payments, which is simply unacceptable in today's fast-paced financial landscape.
The credit card’s benefits are lackluster compared to the challenges I face in using it. The approved credit limit feels restrictive and doesn’t match the level of service I’ve experienced with other credit cards. As a long-time American Express user, I appreciate the extensive benefits, superior customer service, and valuable perks that come with their cards, making the annual fee worth it. Overall, my experience with Chase has left me disappointed. I should have checked the “worst” bank ranking in US before giving my business to Chase. Ironically only after facing challenges with Chase, I have found that based on Consumer Affairs data, Chase was among the worst-rated banks alongside Bank of America and Wells Fargo. I would not recommend Chase services to others seeking a reliable and customer-focused banking experience.

DO NOT TRUST!!! I have had a couple negative experiences with my Chase Credit card, but one in particular stands out that has left me untrusting of them now. It’s been a while since it happened; however I finally decided to write about it considering I’m still upset and don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I had my card linked to my Uber account, which led me to identifying 3 Uber charges that were not from me. After finally being able to prove it wasn’t me since one of the transactions happened in another country, they then proceeded to freeze my account and send me a new card. During this time while waiting for my new credit card-another fraud uber charge was purchased on my new credit card that I had not even received yet. I received my new credit card and noticed this charge immediately and reported it.
It took a while to prove this again, although the notes and documentation proved that this was during the time my account was supposed to be frozen and I had still not received my new card. I was met with questions and blame; however I eventually was proven correct. I then started to carefully examine my bank account often when 2 months later I noticed that my transactions were not adding up. I contacted Chase to have them go over each transaction with me when they mentioned the uber charge that I proved 2 months earlier to be fraud. This transaction was not even listed in my bank statement; therefore they were sneakily trying to charge me for that again without my knowledge! I was again able to prove it, though it took some serious convincing and proving of my innocence yet again. After this I have lost all trust in this company.
I tried complaining about it considering I was left weary of every transaction after that, yet I was met with complete lack of concern. Initially Allen or Alan, a customer service representative, assured me they would try to reconcile the mistrust; however almost immediately said there was nothing they could do for me. The representative completely made me feel like I didn’t matter and they didn’t care about what had happened to me. Majority of the customer service I’ve experienced the entire time has made me feel they don’t care at all. What happened to caring or making things right and valuing a customer?! It seems to be lost; especially with the big companies like Chase. I do not trust them at all!

I have 3 Chase credit cards and have for many years. I make my payments, pay the annual fees each year and overall I’d say I’ve been a pretty good customer. I was let go from a job and was already preparing to onboard at a new job earlier this year. I asked for a hardship for a month on one of my higher payment cards to suspend a monthly payment so that I can obviously pay for necessities 1st. Within the next month I made 2 payments to catch up the balance as the agent said to do so everything is good, no payments showing due and it appears to be in good standing after paying the combined months payments.
Months later I would like to use that card, it declined every time I tried so I assumed maybe it had a hold or something blocking the charge. I called and they said it was just a security thing to verify I was using it and it’s fixed…. Declines again. I called back and the agent in security department said you can’t use your card for “that type of transaction”. Confused, I asked which one, Starbucks, gas, restaurant, etc? She repeated you can’t use for that type of transaction so I reworded again very confused and asked what type of transaction can I use then? She eventually said it was a collection but it was like she was avoiding my question the whole time. So I got transferred because I wasn’t understanding what collection, they reminded me of when I did a hardship payment suspension.
After being tossed around person by person I had to get off the call to go to work but essentially they are saying I owe a balance but couldn’t say how much without transferring me AGAIN even though I paid twice to catch the card up to be in good standing immediately after I was able to. So basically I pay annual fees, high interest and big payments every month on a credit card that I can’t even use. I’ll be calling to now not only cancel this card, but all three cards with Chase and asking for settlement on them as I never want to deal with them or their customer service and management teams again. I also haven’t received any type of statements, electronic or paper saying I owed anything that would result in my card not working. I’ll be happy to take my business to another provider going forward.

This is the WORST company to get a credit card from. Their customer service lies and tells you if you pay a certain amount that it will take care of the balance but after dropping $600 each month the interest was impossible to overcome on a $5,000 total bill with all of their mark ups. The customer service reps lie, they are unhelpful and dishonest. Every other card company worked with me and I was able to pay off the card in full. Chase then will delete all of your payments from your online account without your knowledge and then tell you that the only way you can get a copy of how much you have paid over the years is to write a letter to some corporate address!!!! How can we know that are accounts are being dealt with appropriately when they delete our payment history!!! Then they will have the nerve to say, "We care about you. That is sincere." My recent interactions with Chase Travel have been disappointing. On multiple occasions, including August 19, 2025, I contacted support to cancel a flight and request documentation. The supervisor I spoke with refused to assist or provide a call reference number, citing vague policies without explanation. This lack of transparency and unwillingness to help made it impossible to document the conversation properly.
The overall tone of the call was dismissive, and similar issues occurred during a prior call on August 4. These experiences reflect a troubling pattern of poor service, unclear policies, and limited accountability. Chase’s reliance on outsourced call centers may contribute to communication challenges and inconsistent support. I hope Chase reevaluates its customer service approach and prioritizes professionalism, clarity, and responsiveness—especially for travel-related concerns.

A fraudster got my credit card info on my Chase Freedom card (ending **) AND Chase Marriott card (ending **) and made three charges at Booking.com. Chase alerted me by e-mail of potential fraud on June 14. The first two amounts were $2,816.31 and $1,515.75. Card 7510 was canceled. A new card was received in a week. Issue resolved. On June 15 a charge of $1,663.61 was made at booking.com at the 8896 card. Rather than click "no" that I did not recognize the charge I called Chase.
I did not want to be without any credit cards for a week. Clicking "no I don't recognize" immediately cancels your card, and I was hoping to avoid that. They canceled my card anyway, and I had to wait several days for a new one for **. I immediately signed up for e-mail notifications on both new incoming Chase cards so that this could never happen again, or at least I would immediately see fraud. In the meantime, a day or so later, I went into my booking.com account, which I have not used in years, just to see what was in there.
Indeed, I found two reservations coming up within days (Singapore and Cyprus). I canceled both, thinking it would be easier than potentially having a fraudster check in and impersonate me, thus creating a real mess. Well, Chase now keeps writing to me saying "You got a benefit" and is denying the fraud. They say the IP address matches my computer. Of course it does. I canceled the bookings. But I never made any of them, and that is what their algorithms and low level clerks investigating this cannot reconcile. In sum, Chase alerted me to all three fraud charges but is holding me to pay for the $1,663.61 one, despite repeated phone calls that even included to their Executive Offices. I have since canceled the new card ** (which replaced **), and that balance shall remain there in perpetuity. I will not pay a charge I did not make.

They booked my credit card for the full amount, without my authorization. I initiated a dispute with Chase and contacted BJ's. Finally, it appeared that it was resolved. 3 months later, it appeared on my statement again, without my authorization. I contacted CHASE and they put me through 3 hours of aggravation, only to tell me that they can't remove the charge for $63.98 and that I have to pay it. Nothing I said would help resolve it. When I got the first email the phone number associated with it which was supposed to help me get into my Name change website account had somebody else's phone number entirely. Somebody who lives 2000 miles away from me. This is deeply suspicious and deeply distressing. When I called to say I can't use this email with a perfect stranger's number in it, I was told oh don't worry about it the last person just forgot to clear her screen before she sent you the email I'll send you another one with the correct information right now.
It is now another 24 hours later and no email has arrived whatsoever. I called Chase Customer Service and eventually got passed to a manager. The manager explained to me that even though every other credit card company just Confirmed who I was and took the information over the phone without any ridiculous requirements, 24 hour delays, or anything else, this is the Chase protocol and there is nothing she can do about it. She has supposedly sent me a THIRD email and they also send a letter in the mail which takes a minimum of three weeks to arrive and then another two weeks to get back to them -- so you can either do it in a week or two if the emails ever show up or you can do it in five or six weeks if the so-called letters ever show up.
In other words they make it as difficult as humanly possible unlike any of their competitors who can all do it in a couple of minutes. I hate and despise working with Chase the only reason I even use any Chase Card is because I have an Amazon card by Chase that gives me huge discounts on Amazon. The other two credit cards never get used because Chase is a hellhole and nobody would want to deal with them.
Furthermore I live in a town with a lot of crime and a big ghetto and they expect you to show your ID to compare to the credit card because they get ripped off so often. Then AFTER that, the purchases were made equal to 5k+ (11,439 points). However, my pending points balance had 9K missing. I called about the issue, and was told not to worry and that the remainder will post at the end of the statement. Once the statement ended, the missing points never posted.
When I called the customer service, they kept giving me a runaround, trying to tell me that 119K of available points already included these "future" purchases. Then, when I would confront them again and again, they kept twisting it. The math is not that hard, especially when I kept track of everything to ensure accuracy. Absolutely the WORST credit card with deceiving and deceptive practice. Made a payment and they marked me 30 days late. Filed a dispute and they corrected the rating. 2 months later they put the late back on. Opened another dispute and regardless of the documents I sent with proof they actually corrected it the first time and with payment info they still refuse to correct it again. Tanked my score 90 pts and the message says it will go away in 7 years. What the hell kind of company are they. I’ve had that card for 10 years, they screw up and it’s going to hit my credit for 7 years. On top of it I have had accounts since it’s been Washington mutual. I had a frustrating experience with Chase Credit Card and would not recommend it. My account was double-charged for a software purchase from Apple, forcing me to dispute the charge. Chase took over two weeks to cancel the dispute, during which Apple red-flagged my card, causing unnecessary issues. To make matters worse, I had to order a new card, and despite waiting over 10 days, it still hasn’t arrived. As a single mother relying on one credit card, this delay has caused major inconvenience, making payments difficult. Most banks replace credit cards overnight, but Chase offered no urgency or assistance. Their lack of responsiveness and failure to provide a basic service like a timely card replacement is unacceptable. If you want reliable customer support, look elsewhere—Chase does not prioritize its customers.

I applied IHG Card and it was with Chase Bank. I have very good credit and submitted the application via online. Then, they contact me via my old Chase credit card account which was closed couple years ago. Took long time to authenticate me and then asked me to send additional info such as copy of driver license. After submitting all the info, few days later I received an email that I have a letter in my old Chase account. When I went in, there is no letter or any notification. I thought they might send via mail so I waited... nothing. Then, after several weeks, I check the Chase account and saw a letter that they declined it because they suspect that someone might using my identity to apply for the application.
I called Chase to find out what is the problem but they do not want to tell me why. They did received my driver license but their system declined it without giving me any reason why they found that there might be fraudulent use. Keep asking the reason but the rep does not give me a reason. I requested to speak to a supervisor but he keeps refusing to transfer the call to his supervisor.
I had similar issue last year but I thought maybe the account I closed was less than 2 years. But, I think Chase are playing with our applications...it is not based on our credit rating but some hidden agenda they have and do not want to share that info with us. I want to know why they are declining my application... they know that it is not my credit rating so they are giving another excuse that there might be fraudulent use...but since it is not valid thus they are not willing to give me the exact reason. Really bad way to process the application. I do hope the government will look into it.

This company is completely incompetent. Their “fraud, application, customer service, everything” is directed to call centers overseas. No one can figure anything out, there is no accountability and checks and balances. I have a visa Prime card and applied for a business card. They ran my credit and sent me a letter claiming fraud with a number to Chase to confirm it is not. I called, confirmed everything, uploaded all business documents and received the same letter. Did these steps on four occasions, and received the same letter four times. I’ve requested to speak to a supervisor and I get “disconnected” or told they’re busy and to call back, or just put on hold indefinitely.
Eventually I called a new department and got a supervisor and had them route me to the supervisor in the fraud department. Mind you even the “supervisors” are overseas call centers with limited English. I requested that the supervisor review the 7 different phone calls I have had with their team and told the exact same thing and assumed every time that the problem was solved when it was not.
Nothing was ever resolved, they did a hard pull on my credit (which was 827) and never resolved the “fraud issue”. At some point more fraud will come by having to call in and confirm your personal info with overseas call centers everyday. I have requested that the hard pull from from credit report be removed since they claim that it was fraudulent application. This is how fraud happens, incompetent companies like this. I will be canceling my open account with chase that I have had for 5 years. Look at all of the reviews, you don’t get a terrible consistent rating like this unless you are a trash company.

Chase is a HORRIBLE CREDIT CARD and I'm about to share why. I had excellent credit--A 790 score when I got my three Chase credit cards. I have never had a late-pay, always keep up with my bills and thought things were going well. I experienced a lay-off and it took some time for me to get another job, but I kept my bills paid and updated. I got a job and have started paying my cards down. Yes, I accrued some additional debt, but nothing that can't be paid off in a couple of years. I got a notice today that Chase had lowered all of my credit limits to practically what I owe. Not only does this impact my business travel capabilities, it SEVERELY impacted my credit score, causing all of my OTHER accounts to lower their limits as well.
I can't honestly write what I'd like to say about Chase, just know that it would contain lots of four letter words and wish them the same crap they put their customers through. I hate them. As soon as I pay off these cards, I plan on cancelling every one of them and NEVER doing business with Chase for the rest of my life. You have been warned.

I am very saddened to have to write this review but unfortunately I need to let others be aware of what could potentially happen to them. The honest truth is that Chase cares zero about its customers, I had a very bad situation and thought my financial institution would have my back but I was very wrong. I reserved a rental car for my husband to pickup in December. Unfortunately I did not discuss the rate with him because normally I didn’t have to and I didn’t think I needed to especially since the company site states that once the reservation is confirmed the rates are locked.
First my husband was going to use a Priceline card to pay for the rental but the company claimed that Priceline cards doesn’t have the insurance coverage so I told him to just use the Explorer card which he did. They then told him that the explorer card has the insurance but later told him he had to also purchase a third party insurance which was new to us as we’ve been traveling and using the chase insurance to cover our rentals with other companies with no issues. Anyway due to the situation he had to take the vehicle because they took us off airport grounds and it’s either we took the vehicle or be stranded. I was so upset and annoyed at the fact that we were forced to purchase this last minute insurance that I just wanted to get out of there. Let me not forget to mention that the place they took us just seemed creepy.
Anyway a few days later it dawned on me that I didn’t look at what they charged us for this insurance so I took at look at the receipt only to realize that they charged us a completely different amount per day for the vehicle as well as there was unexplained amounts on the receipt, I tried reaching out to the company and all I received was rude responses from the manager so I decided to dispute the extras charged on my card, I provided Chase with my original reservation, the company website documentation that clearly stated that rates are locked once reservation is confirmed among other things.
A customer service rep tried going over the receipt the company provided her and the amounts were not adding up yet they have the audacity to tell me that because my husband signed the receipt they have to honor it. How can you have the full proof in your hands that your customer is being scammed yet choose the thief over your client. I am disappointed and disgusted with chase and I honestly don’t know if I will continue being a member because it’s very clear that they don’t care about us and it’s very very sad.

I had a $100 hold on a propane tank ordered through Walmart that they canceled. No record at all of it! I had a refund that I wait and waited to see that didn't post to my transaction report.
Finally I did a dispute on that purchase through my Chase APP. I immediately received a letter saying the dispute had been resolved in my favor. Chase is partaking in false advertising under Section 12 of the FTC Act. You advertise a Pay Over Time option for select purchase that comes with 0% Interest, yet after enrolling, you then charge "Monthly Fees" for each enrollment. This is a direct violation of the FTC Act as Chase is intentionally lying about the 0% interest with the enrollment of the Pay Over Time, as Chase advertises no interest, yet upon enrollment they simply redefine interest as a "Monthly Fee." Not only that, Chase does not inform customers of the fees until after they enroll.
Further, Chase arbitrarily come up with these "Monthly Fees" as some transactions receive them while others do not. There is no description as to how these fees are calculated either. Further, Chase does not allow a customer to cancel the enrollment without paying at least the first round of "Monthly Fees" even if they are choosing to pay off the balance of the charges in full on the regular statement balance for the month the transaction occurred. How is it remotely fair to charge a customer a "Monthly Fee" for enrollment in a program to which they are not going to use prior to the benefit of the program ever starting?
For context, I had three transactions during the month of December, 2024 that were eligible for the Pay Over Time program which was offered and advertised in my account as having 0% interest. After enrolling, a few days later it showed that two of these transactions were in fact not actually 0% interest, but had arbitrary "Monthly Fees" now thrown on top of the original transaction balance. When I called to inform Chase that I wished to simply pay off the transaction for the full balance as a normal balance that will be shown on my December statement (the statement for the same month in which the transactions were made) I was told that I would still have to pay the first round of "Monthly Fees" associated with the Pay Over Time program, even though I was not actually going to be taking advantage of the program itself because the transaction was being paid off in full in the same month in which the transaction was made.
Not only is this business practice unjust and shady, when I called to speak with a representative about this, they were extraordinarily rude. After about a half hour of trying to get some explanation out of them as to how this was fair, they stated that they would send the issue to the escalation team and that I would receive a call the next day to discuss further. Come the next day, I received no call; in fact I received no call for the next week. I then called back a week later, and was informed that the escalation team performed their own "research" and determined that no issue was present and that they did not see a need to call me back to inform me of this or even discuss.
Had I not called back, I would have never known. When I told Chase that I then wished to cancel my card and would like to receive my over $800 worth of points paid out to me, they then told me that those points go away with the cancelation of my card. So now, not only was I being forced to pay unjust fees that were falsely advertised to me, I was also being denied benefits of the card which I pay an annual fee to have access to said benefits. Chase is partaking in some seriously unethical business practices and I am certain I am not the only one who has experienced this. As an attorney myself, I will be moving forward with filing a class action lawsuit against Chase for their violation of Section 12 of the FTC Act.

However, after I made the minimum payment amount, Chase, arbitrarily, decided to lower my credit limit from $25000 to $9400. Which put my debt to credit ratio high and ultimately lowered my credit rating. Their reasoning was that I wasn’t making significant payments to lower my debt. Interesting, because I wasn’t above 30% usage and I always paid on time. This infuriated me and I thought about canceling but decided that would add to the problem. I called Chase customer service in February 2024 to ask if a $95 annual fee could be discharged. I had not used any of the benefits or services that this fee supposedly provided as I had lost my job the previous September and was still trying to get my finances sorted.
I was assured in a “recorded” phone call that it wouldn’t be a problem and that I should wait for the next billing statement to see the change. Each time I checked my account online it continued to show the charge plus accruing interest. I called twice more in March and was given the same information - you’ll see the zero balance on your next billing statement.
In May I received the first letter indicating that the account was overdue. I called and was informed for the first time that they would not remove the charge and that I had been given incorrect information by the first three Customer Service representatives in February and March. I wrote a dispute letter to Chase but never received anything in response. In July I called and spoke with a Customer Service Supervisor who promised to listen to the recordings of those February and March conversations, but I never received a response. On July 26th I requested the transcripts of the three original customer service interactions but I was denied.
As a result of this dispute, my credit score has dropped and two other credit card companies have reduced my available balance. I have no option left but to pay this now-inflated balance before it does any further damage to my previously excellent credit, but I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General’s offices in Delaware where Chase is incorporated and in my home state regarding Chase's customer service representatives. At best they are poorly trained or misinformed, and the fact that three different agents gave me the same erroneous information on three separate phone calls indicates a pattern of deceptive customer service practices.

During Log In, you will frequently receive a message to receive a phone call with a 6-digit code. But when you answer the phone and press # to get the code, the # is not recognized. If, after 8 tries, you finally get a code, the next screen will tell you to call in to confirm your identity. Then you have to vent your frustrations with the customer service representatives and get another code in order to access your first online account.
I have 4 Chase account Log-Ins for various personal and business accounts. Chase Bank Credit Cards are a bad choice, if you ask me. I see all these glowing reviews, and I have to think that they are AI generated. I was initially approved for a Chase Visa through Amazon, with a $4,000 credit limit. I used the card for 6 months, repeatedly running up the balance, then paying it off immediately. Usually when I do this, a credit card company will extend a credit increase. In the case of Chase, they downgraded my credit limit to $500 and gave vague, unsupported reasoning. My credit score is 780. I just paid off 2 mortgages and a truck loan. I earn $200,000 per year. What good is a $500 credit card? That's how much cash I carry with me.
I called to ask why they did this, they gave no reason why, in fact, I believe I was talking to AI, because there was no human response from the voice on the other end. No emotion, no understanding, no goal of helping the customer. I was asked if I wanted my credit increased, and I said yes. Before you know it, they ran a credit check on me, in order to determine their answer. This put a hit on my credit report. Then they did it again. Two inquiry hits on my credit, and they still denied the increase. This actually reduced my credit score!! I will never use this card again. It actually brought my credit score down!! It turned out it was a digital wallet charge made by a company we have never had a reationship with. It was fraud. Despite the Chase fraud department assuring me that the digital wallet connected to the charge was closed and no further charges could be made, it continued to be a problem. My card was canceled three times and new cards issued. I was unable to use the card for travel because each new fraudulent charge showed up just prior to a trip and I couldn't get a replacement card in time.
Eventually, out of exasperation, I asked Chase to cancel the card and pointed out that, because I was unable to use the card for the first three months of 2024 and wouldn't be using it going forward, I should have a portion of the annual fee returned to me. This request was denied because the policy states fees can only be credited or returned if a cancellation is made within 41 days of the fee being charged. There is no way around this, according to a supervisor I spoke with. On pure principle, I cancelled both the British Airways and United Airlines cards. Chase is no longer here to serve us -- the customer. They exist to usurp our money with interest rates at 29.9% and policies that dictate how we, the customer, should behave. Not that I care, but Chase just closed one of my three credit card accounts and sent me a letter of reprimand for my "bad behavior". Now they are spamming my mailbox with ads. When I called to get the spamming to stop I was supposed to be transferred at the end of my call to a survey to rate my experience. The sly customer service rep conveniently put my call on hold, instead of threading me to the survey, when he realized I was not happy with Chase. Read on for interesting specifics.
I have had credit cards with Chase--three to be exact--for several years. I rarely used them because the customer service was lousy and the interest rates exorbitant. Recently, I was trying to navigate how to accumulate travel miles without paying the interest fees and spoke with a customer service rep who evidently spoke English as her second language.
I mentioned to her that it was hard to understand her accent and asked her to repeat what was said. I then mentioned that I found it frustrating to try to understand people who didn't speak the language well. That is just a fact. If I was attempting to speak her language, I may not do well. I never cursed or said anything derogatory about the rep on the phone. I was very cordial with her.
When I was younger, I worked speaking my second language as a customer service rep, over the phone, and I have taught English as a Second Language to people from all over the world for twenty years. If I had a racist bone in my body, how could I have tolerated this for 20 years? Hence, proof that I do not have a racist bone in my body.
I received a letter from Chase saying they were revoking my credit card. The letter said that I had been disrespectful to the rep and implied I made racist comments. I did not. Chase would not let me hear the conversation without a subpoena and would not tell me why I had received the letter. I can only imagine it was for the above mentioned short conversation.
I cancelled my other two credit cards with them. I was so disgusted. I have an excellent credit score according to FICO reports. I am completely disgusted with a new mentality creeping up in our society where, now, big businesses not only believe it is okay to usurp money from us with 29.9% interest rates, but they now feel obligated to tell us how to behave. They are no longer at our service, we are enslaved to them.

I have had a Chase credit card for many years. I have had to change my password every time I have wanted to get into my account. I called into customer service with my concern. My first encounter today with Akila was positive, however when he was not able to help me get into my account, he referred me to technical support. I was told the wait time would be 15 minutes. I hung up after 45 minutes.

I have 2 Chase cards with 0 or low balances. I have paid off an auto loan through Chase. I was offered and applied for the Chase Slate card with a 0% balance transfer for 21 months. I was approved. When the information arrived, I saw the interest rate was 29% not the 0%. I called customer service on 7/25/2023. Was told account was updating and the interest would be 0%. After one month of 0%, the interest went to 29%. I would NEVER have accepted a card with that rate. I called and a report was made but nothing was changed. I am transferring my balance to another card and will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau because this is deceptive lending practice. There is an audio of my call on 7/25/2023 but clearly no one listened or cares. Very disappointed with Chase.

I have been with Chase credit cards for several years. I have been a great customer, paying bills on time, more than the minimum, at times in full. I received a letter to call Chase because they wanted to review my account. What followed was an interrogation with several intrusive personal questions, such as asking about my other credit cards: why I have the number I do, how much I pay on them each month, and what specifically I have been using my other cards to spend money on. Is this even legal? Not even my mortgage lender asked these kinds of questions before approving my home loan. I would say beware that Chase may ask questions that many would call inappropriately personal and possibly not within their legal right to ask.

Chase Credit Card's customer service is the worse. First they outsource it to a foreign call center so it is extremely difficult to understand "Carl" or "Julie" when calling in for help. Second and most importantly I have lost count of how many times they would not help me in regards to fees they charged when using non Chase ATMs (there are no Chase ATMs of banks within 2 hours of me) and when disputing a charge they ran me around in circles and jump through hoops for about 3 months to finally tell me that I could not dispute the charge. My advice is find a different credit card company (I have not had the problems with Capital One that I consistently have with Chase).

I went through 20 pages of reviews to see if there was anyone having the same issue as me. I found so many stories like mine, not just here, but all over the internet. My problem with Chase is they intentionally lower credit limits for profits. They know if they can lower your limit, it will have an impact on your debt to credit ratio, your interest rate and your score. By doing so they now have more control. Once your limit is only a few hundred dollars above your debt, your debt to credit ratio is close to 100%. Your credit score plummets, your interest rate sky rockets and now you're stuck. That's what they did to me.
For more than 9 years I've been a loyal customer, never missed a payment or even been late. Always kept my usage below 25%. Then out of the blue, with no warning my limits start dropping and so does my credit scores. And of course my interest goes way up. It's all intentional so they can trap you in those higher interest rates, knowing you can't get out, your score have already taken a hit. So you're stuck paying those high rates. Well, I've decided to take give chase the **. Yep, they can eat it. I have stopped paying. Can't affect my score any worse, I'm saving a boatload of money each month. They can sue, but will never get a dime. I'm done. This is what should happen when a company mistreats people. And until everyone realizes they have control, not the crooked companies, they will always be sheep. Good luck to all of you.

I received a text message from Chase saying to call. I thought it might be a scam. I called the number on card and they transferred me to credit department. Apparently, my accounts were up for a review. They started asking me weird questions that is none of their business. Asking me how I pay my credit cards, what should it matter? My bills are always paid on time. I have NEVER been late on any of my payments in the last 7 years because I have been building my credit. Now, they gave me a credit limit increase which was nice a few months ago because that helps my credit. WELL, today they reduced my credit limit which now will lower my credit score because of utilization usage is going to go up!
How could they do this to a customer who has 3 bank accounts with them, and 2 credit cards for YEARS! I wasn't very nice to them but I felt betrayed by a company that I have trusted with a lot of things! Why would you treat your customers this way? I tried to get in touch with an executive at Chase Bank and guess what? Nobody knows how or can help me. Thanks Chase Bank, now in March when I get my bonus, and pay my cards off like I do every year I will be closing all accounts. Your company should do better!

For the past month or so, when I logged into my Chase account, there has been an invitation to create a "My Chase Plan." The invitation said if I set it up by 12/31/23 there would be no fees. However, when I clicked on the "Continue" link, the following page says "Pay off your purchases over time with My Chase Plan. Create, track and calculate plans with no interest, just a fixed monthly fee."
Clearly, this is the exact opposite of the invitation on the prior page which promises "no fees if set up by 12/31/23." I deliberately charged $15,450 to my Chase card, thinking I would enroll it in the no fee My Chase Plan. I've called customer service a few times and on two occasions talked to supervisors, once to Rubin and today to Justin. Rubin said my concern would be sent over to "marketing" and that a response would be mailed out and also placed into my account by Dec 15. He said I should call and ask customer service to check my account after that date.
Today, Dec 16th, I called and there was no resolution in my account. I talked with supervisor Justin who just kept repeating that these offers can change at any time. This made no sense to me as I was in my account looking at the invitation while talking to Justin. All I wanted was to be able to enter the charge of $15,450 into a My Chase Plan and pay it off over time with no fees as promised by the invitation in my account. The Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card is not cheap! I cannot believe that Chase would so flagrantly have such false advertising in the online accounts of its customers.

Chase Credit Card dispute department has completely failed me! I used the card to pay for a vacation package with Palm Resort Vacations (PRV) in 2022. Per PRV, I had up to 6 years to use my package and that I could choose between Cabo, Cancun, Loretta or Puerto Vallarta. There were some issues with inconsistencies that I had with PRV and when I contacted Chase, they did not help me. In addition, a year later, I received an email that PRV had gone out of Business and the company that bought them out refused to honor my original deal with PRV and said I only had up to 12 months to travel, with only Puerto as my option, and not until I paid an additional $570 would I be able to use the package. This was not in the original offer that I purchase with PRV.
I contacted Chase to dispute the charges since PRV had gone out of business and the new company would not render the services I purchased. Chase declined my dispute and now I’m stuck. I have been a loyal card member, paying my bills on time with no delinquencies on my account, but yet Chase won’t help me resolve this! I am very disappointed with the way they’ve handled this dispute, I plan on closing my account with them. I regret having opened an account with Chase. Chase has the worst credit department. I have had an excellent credit score for a very long time until I joined Chase as a client. They showered me with their credit cards which I all paid in time through auto pay, except for one credit card, which they removed me from autopay, and I had a very small balance compared to all my other credit cards. My checking and credit accounts which I use for my autopay could have easily covered the payment balance. Chase reported me 5 times to the credit bureau ruining my excellent credit score. Never did anyone from Chase bothered to give me a call or send a letter to alert me, as their client, to the problem.
Their justification for ruining my credit score is that they emailed me a statement among all the statements that I receive by email for all my other credit cards from different banks. To add insult to injury, they continue to have unrealistic and unreliable credit monitoring system that keeps ruining the credit score regardless of the fact that I have always been on top of all my credit card payments in time supported by my checking and saving balances. As a conclusion, Chase has unreliable and non-sophisticated credit monitoring with total lack of accountability, communication, and customer service. My only impression about Chase is that it expanded too much beyond their ability to care of their clients’ personal and business accounts. Everyone who knew about my case agrees that Chase has become one of the worst banks in this regard.

I'd bought concert tickets from a convincing imposter website. The emailed tickets had someone else's name and a much lower face value - I'd been scammed. In a panic, I went to the real site and bought better cheaper seats, thinking Chase would be able to reverse the scam charge. Immediately, I called Chase to ask them to stop the charge. They said they could not, I would have to wait until it was posted, then reassured me I could file a dispute. In the meantime, I got written verification from the venue that the scam tickets had never been scanned.
As soon as the charge was posted two days later, I contacted Chase disputes. Rochelle was snarky from the start, basically getting me to answer any question that would check a box so they couldn't help me. She asked whether I tried to cancel the tickets, and I said no. She cut me off, not hearing the reason was because Ticket Squeeze intentionally had no means of contacting them, only a recorded message at their phone number, and Googling the phone number resulted all kinds of fraud alerts. Rochelle shot me down with no option to present a case. She said "*You* should have cancelled the tickets, and *you* should have tried to have the tickets scanned (who could be sure they were valid?), and *you* waited until after the concert to notify us (seriously?)." Then she repeated several times, "Is there anything else I can help you with?" (That was help?)
Shortly, I got a document from Chase that the dispute had been "resolved", iterating no refund would be issued. I called back, wondering if a different rep might help. This person was nicer, but also immediately went to the Chase legal script saying they would do nothing, and it was my fault I didn't use those inflated price scam tickets. So I'm out an unrefundable $400. I will cancel this card and I have no faith in Chase. PS - I realize these 3rd party imposter situations are tricky, but I called my USAA card and asked them what they would have done. They said there were no guarantees, but they would've allowed me to make a case and provide documentation. The reason I used Chase at all was for United miles. I also did my best to track down the scammer for a refund, but of course to no avail. All around very unpleasant experience that took up a ton of time.

I hope you take my words as a warning! My Chase card was used over several transactions totaling in $1,800 for a service called “Caribe Express”. I looked it up and found out it was an app used to send money abroad. I have no family nor friends abroad so I have absolutely no reason to use it! I filed the claim and was issued a temporary credit. Then days later the claim was reversed and they took the $1,800 back out, as they somehow determined it was authorized. I thought nothing of it, and brushed it off.
My final incident occurred on 9/22/23 when my card was used to purchase a hotel for $128. I am single, no children, no roommates. Absolutely nobody else has or had access to my card, except for these scammers of course. I filed a dispute only to have it returned on 10/30/23. The card has a terrible customer service when it comes to disputes, as they tend to automatically side with merchants. In my case, I rented a car for a week when I was in Spain, and returned it the at the stipulated date and time. The rental car company claimed that I had returned the car a week later, four days later after I had left Spain. I provided evidence supporting my claims, including pictures of the time I returned the keys and plane tickets showing that I was not physically present in Spain at the time the company claims I was renting the car.
A supervisor of the dispute case at Chase, claimed that not being physically present in Spain at the time the service was delivered was NOT enough proof that they had billed me incorrectly. He claimed that I needed a letter from the rental car company saying that they had made a mistake. A completely outrageous request, as in this case the company would fix the problem themselves. When questioned the validity of his logic, he hung up the phone. The experience was terrible from start to finish. Bottom-line, if you rent a car using a Chase credit card, then you completely depend on the good faith of the rental car company when it comes to the charges they pass when they close the contract.

Good morning To All. I applied for the Chase business credit card and got the answer: "We did not approve your request. Our decision was based on the following reason(s): Insufficient personal deposit relationship with us." I spent over 45,000 dollars on other Chase credit cards in one year, have a perfect payment history, and have a 738 FICO score. If this is an insufficient personal deposit relationship with Chase, what financial relationship should I have?, to get the Credit Card? It would be best if you did not bother to open any services with Chase because your credit history has a hard inquiry, and you get nothing. If you like to reverse the hard inquiry, that is almost impossible, and you must spend much time correcting this nonsense with the credit bureau. My advice: Do not deal with the Chase at all. You will save time and unnecessary aggravation, and there is always another option. Sincerely, Disappointed, Tom
