Like many of the men that have written reviews, I have used Just for Men for years and as of recent are experiencing painful blistering and rashes. There must of been a change in the formula and the discomfort is too much to continue using the product. It is a shame there isn't a quicker or better process to get answers as to what was changed. R&D is important for progress, however in this case the consumers has clearly tested and the discovery is the product needs to reverted back to the old formula. There are several natural products out there, downside is they all appear to take a long time for application. I am willing to make the change to forgo the welts and pain.

I have taken Just for Men for years and never had any problems. Since the beginning of 2015, the product has been causing an allergic reaction to my skin with heavy itching and blisters. They must have changed the formula. Do not buy this product!

I have used Just For Men for 90 days without a problem. The last time I used it I had a severe reaction pain, burning, itching, swelling and blistering. I took Benadryl. 2 weeks later I still have seeping blisters, lots of peeling and my skin has little or no feeling to touch.

I join the number of complaints here. I have regularly used JFM over the past year to hide the grey in my beard. However, the last time I used the product (four days ago) I have not had a moment's peace from the incredible itching, burning sensation. I am taking antibiotics to minimize the infection I gave myself from scratching my face during the night. I am also regularly taking antihistamine (50mg) and off the shelf hydrocortisone cream. I am reluctant to shave my beard as I do not want to spread the infection around my face. Any suggestions? How long will this last?! There is yellow crusting around the mouth from the weeping blisters. These sores are elsewhere on my face but remain hidden under my beard hair. For those of you experiencing similar pain, are you moisturizing your beard or letting the blisters dry out? I really don't know what to do - even touching my beard is painful.

I have been using JFM for Beard for more than three years. Just recently, I have developed red patching under my beard in the chin area and it itches. I have decided to stop using the product to see if the condition clears up. I have read the reviews of others and was relieved that many were having the exact same problem.

I used Just For Men Mustache and Beard Color for 8 year without any negative issues. Yesterday morning, I used the product around 6:00 am and by 9:00 am, my both lips are extremely swollen. I resemble Sherman Klump in the movie Nutty Professor.

My husband has been using this product for over a year but this time on January 30th 2015 the next day his head was itching around his hair line was swelling up. The top of his head was swelling up and he was complaining that his head hurts. It is February 4th and he is still scratching his head with scabs in it. He will never ever use this product again and we will tell others not to. Also something must have changed in this product. Very disappointed.

The first time was all right. And after using the other times it made me a rash and irritation on my face.

I've been using "Just For Men" (Beard/Mustache dye) for way over 10 years. I have never had such issues with this product until late 2013. I've always had smooth skin however, now I have the worse itching ever. My male neighbor had to result to discontinuing JFM products and now shaves all of his facial hair off. I cannot understand, why would the company change their formula? I've tried diluting the product, but that method does not work at all. I have breakout spots on areas of my face. Perhaps if they are not willing to go back to the original formula maybe all products should be removed from all retail shelves.

I have been using Just For Men for over 15 years. I have used both the shampoo in hair color and the mustache beard and sideburns products throughout that time without problems. I recently decided to grow a beard after many years of not having one and purchased the facial hair product as well as the classic hair product. I have not had a problem with the classic hair product but the facial hair product caused a chemical burn that I have never experienced before using this product. Red bumps under my beard, inflammation, itchiness, and discomfort have been persisting for days now. I am shocked at how many people are having problems with this product recently. There should be a class action lawsuit against Just For Men and compensation for the victims.

I have been using Just For Men for about five years now and the last two boxes (I reluctantly bought a second thinking the first was a bad batch) have burned my face so bad that it remains red with small watery blisters! It feels like Caustic Soda! What in the world did they change and does anyone use this new formula painlessly?

This product ought to be called just for terrorists. I followed the manufacturer's instructions but the only noticeable color change was that my face turned red...with blisters and incredible itching and discomfort. I have never had an allergic reaction to anything in my life until now. Out of desperation for relief after using this product, I shaved off my beard. Now I can only hope my new beard of blisters will dissipate and I can gain some relief from the pain.

I am woman and have been using JFM for the past couple of years to cover up my gray around my ears, hairlines and the top of my scalp. Recently I developed a red, itchy, oozing rash around the backside and along the outer ridge of both ears and a large outbreak on my upper lip, just below my nostril. Have tried using Antibiotic cream, Benadryl and drying the spots with alcohol, but NO RELIEF YET! Am getting ready to see the doctor about this. Has lasted for WEEKS now. Does anyone know what gets rid of this horrible plight?

My husband had a father-daughter dance and decided to get rid of some grey spots, did a test prior and used it prior without a problem. This time he had a severe reaction. We are heading to the hospital. Red pus, purple, yellow, every color is on his skin. He is putting Aloe Vera to calm the itching. Your product is destroying faces, did destroy my husband's. If this is permanent I will seek an attorney.

I have been a loyal customer for 7-8 years with ZERO problems. But the last 3X, my face is red, pussy and swollen! I hate to go gray but the itch is unbearable. What the ** happened and do you even care?

I have been using Just For Men beard for last 3 years and without any problem. But recently about last two and half months, I am having some issue with my lips and two corners of the mouth. The lips get inflamed and blisters on the side and the lips are turning slightly black in color. First I thought it was due to my anesthesia during dental cleaning. But now I am doing very close observation on this, reduced the usage of color and I am using hydro cortisone cream. I have grey hair only on my beard. I have a doubt whether there are changes in the ingredients of the product recently or any defect in the batches?

I have seen the same problem as described by others here. I'm now one month post uses and still have very dry itchy skin in the application area. I have been keeping it covered with lotion and it don't appear to be getting better. How long will this take??? Wish I had never used this stuff.

I have been using Just for Men "Black" for many years and have never experienced a reaction to the dye as I did now; my scalp has become so irritated and inflamed with puss like liquid coming out from the blisters. After a trip to my pharmacy they gave me some Allergy formula pills and hydrocortisone cream that relieved the pain a little, although, after a few weeks it is still itching badly. I never had dandruff and now I do! I have made an appointment with the dermatologist, but does anyone know if this reaction is something I should be worrying about? And will it come back and haunt me with health issues in the future? I wrote to the company and have not received a response yet... I believe they owe it to us to come up with an explanation on what the HELL they changed to have this product react this way!!!!!!!

I have used JFM for years but for the past few months I experience extreme itching and burning sensation. This discomfort lasts about 3 days after the application then subsides. This is very disappointing. Not sure if I will look for an alternative or give up.

I agree with many comments that the formula must have changed. This summer I used the product and had no issues. On November I used the product and had a bad response with sores and itching on my scalp. I thought it was a reaction to new vitamins I was taking. I just tried it yesterday and the sores, itching, and pain are back so now I can absolutely confirm that its the product. Time to go to the medical emergency center for some medication because I'm on a speaking tour this week and can't be scratching my head all day.

I don't use the product nor have I ever, but I recommend it to my male customers for discreet at home coloring (the guys that wanna look 30 forever). It has come to my attention that whatever they changed or added to the new formula has changed and is causing severe reactions, so bad that I had to send a few to the walk-in clinic. I have never seen this happen with JFM before. It used to be safe and I would always recommend it, now........ Well I recommend Godefroy Jel Color Kit. The color comes in Jet Black, Black, and Dark Brown. You can pick it up at Sally Beauty Supply for $7.99. It's safe and about the same cost and can still be done in the comfort of your home. They won't get my customers service anymore.

I have been using JFM for about 10 years without any problem. Since last couple months, I used twice on beard and once on head. It has caused worst itching, face swollen and burn blisters oozing fluid. My advice is, stop using JFM. They may have change product formula which is damaging to skin.

I have used this with no problems for a couple of months to remove the grey. Now I have a severe red rash and itching. Very uncomfortable. Using Aquaphor but feel I need to go to the clinic.

I have used JFM for a few years and I must say that I'm very upset about chemical burn scars around my mouth and chin. It looks horrible and everyone notices it when they see me. After reading the negative reviews on this product, someone should be held accountable. I hope that JFM makes this right for all of the victims that put faith in their product and have made them profitable over the years.

I have used Just For Men Mustache and Beard for several years. Today, after using it, my face is burning and I have red blotches. After reading these posts, I'm relieved to see that it is not just me and it is in fact an issue with the product. Any suggestions of other products?

I've used JFM and after 48 hrs have had an aggressive reaction - big red spots with yellow pus coming out of them. They are so itchy - you want to scratch your face apart. My chin and the side of my face have swollen. I do not know how they can sell a product which causes so much pain to people. I've had hardly no sleep for 3 days and the swelling is getting worse now. Better stay away from this product.

Been using jfm for about a yr now and no issues until now after dyeing my mustache and beard just about an hour ago, I now have a very bad rash and blisters on my top lip and cheeks. This is very painful. Tried benadryl and creams but nothing to stop the pain and pus from oozing... Wft please help with answers for relief and pain to stop!

Had a little bit of grey, so used JFM and boy, was this the mistake. Felt good for about an hour then all hell broke loose...my face felt like it was on fire. This was 2 days ago and it still stings...it's actually making my neck itch too. Horrible product...would not recommend this to anyone...would rather go all grey than use JFM again.

Just for men is a great dye. It contains no ammonia, and covers all the gray hair, giving your hair a full brilliant younger feel and look. It only takes 5 mins to dye your hair. Highly recommended, great buy. Go and get your box of original.

I've been using JFM for years but the last few times I've got a terrible rash. I thought it was something else causing this problem but after three times I decided to look online to see if anyone else had the same problem. I could not sleep because of the burning. The stuff also cause welts and oozing sores.

Can we give it NO stars?! Was in the ER for 4 hours yesterday! Swollen face, pus dripping! Yeah, the whole things that they warn you about! Wish I would have read all this before.. Now I am sitting at home waiting for the meds to give me any relief. Please! I am telling you stay away from this product at all costs! NOT worth it! Unless you want to feel like you have been hit by a truck! I'm coming for ya, JFM.

Follow up to an October post... My Husband had to be treated at a walk in clinic on the day of his daughter's wedding because his face had continued to swell and blister a few days after the initial use of this product. That was Oct 4th. He continues to experience swelling, pain, and breakouts of red blotches.

I've used JFM for my beard for about 3 months with no problems and the last time I used it I got a bad rash. Not sure what's up but it sounds similar to others here. Perhaps they made a bad batch or someone sabotaged it. Either way, I'm not going to use it again until this gets resolved - too painful!!! The manufacturer has to know that something is wrong with all these complaints.

Wow, I am joining the voices of those complaining of itching, burning, scabs, oozing... and embarrassment. I used JFM two weeks ago and noticed the itching, then suddenly there was oozing and scabbing. I was like, what? From a 5-minute treatment on my beard?? Then came the over-thinking of how to avoid going out in public. I have to go out tomorrow, and I'm not sure how I'm going to avoid the embarrassment of the scabs and the two-tone beard. Not impressed, JFM! Interested in an alternative product.

Just For Men Beard Dye - Acute Allergic Reaction and Severe Chemical Burns. I have used JFM Beard/Mustache numerous times without incident. I used the product early morning on Sunday, 12/28/2014 in-accordance-with directions provided and consistent with previous applications. My beard and mustache looked and felt great until early Monday 12/29/2014 when open sores/burns were visible along the edges of a fairly large beard growth. Monday night and Tuesday open weeping sores within the beard and mustache developed along with itching that interrupted sleep and would not subside. Late Tuesday 12/30/2014 I had to cut both the beard and mustache off and uncovered over 75% of my beard and mustache areas covered by redness, blisters, weeping pus, and swollen red areas.

I've used JFM beard coloring all this Summer (light brown) with great success. In mid October, I noticed red irritated skin on my face after about 4 hours of use. Though it only lasted about 2 days, the itching was very intense and uncomfortable. I would also get white bumps. It was noticeable to anyone who saw it. I tried to use less dye, tried less time on my face and tried to lightly put it on for minimal skin contact. It didn't matter, the same reaction would occur. 1% hydrocortisone cream was what I used to minimize the itching. There must have been a formula change since the Summer.

Used the JFM Black to color out some greys and it started itching Like crazy. Face got swollen and irritating with a puss type liquid coming out.

This product is a nightmare, I would recommend other products after clear pus and a itch all over my face even after for using for half the time recommended. It's given me sleepless nights. This seems to be a repeat complaint.

I have used JFM beard for a couple of years now with no problems, however on my most recent and last ever use of this product, I have developed within 48 hours red lumpy sores which ooze clear pus like liquid (very painful and itchy). After a visit to my doctor, I have been prescribed antibiotics and steroid cream which does seem to be helping with the itching and redness. Stay away from this product. Never again will I be putting this dangerous chemical near my face, if I suffer permanent disfigurement I will be seeking legal advice.

More face leakage. I have had the same experience as everyone else. I called this morning and they cheerfully said that they'd reimburse me for my $10 product but wouldn't compensate me for anything else. They also told me that I should have done the patch-test and when I explained that I had been using the product for several years, they condescendingly insisted that a test should be done before each use (even though the box says "Same Great Formula" right on the front). Anyway, I have never sued anyone for anything but I think my discomfort, my ruined holiday(s) and my indescribable suffering here at work deserve more than the ten bucks they want to send me. My girlfriend had me try jfm beard coloring about 6 months ago. I have been having problems with extreme itching and oozing. I went to a dermatologist a few times costing me lots of money...So for Christmas my girlfriend got me more jfm beard - next day itching and fluid all over my face....PLEASE DON'T BUY. Looking into getting hold of jfm on this issue.

I used just for men and weeks later my face started to itch real bad and to swell. On the end of each hair follicle was pus and i started to lose hair in the process. This went on for weeks. After about 6 weeks, my face healed but not 100%... the hair won't grow back the same and I have missing patches of hair. This product has very harmful chemicals in it that will change your life for the worst.

For about two years I been using just for men beard dye. Within the last six months I notice a change in their product new line. Upon using it, I receive first degree burns over 75 percent of my face, not only that I have lesions on my face with a burning and itching sensation which is very very painful. There is times my face weeps from the burning. I spend thousands of dollars to correct what was done to me by just for men beard dye. Please be careful using this product or you will be so sorry.

I used just for men plenty of times in the past. But now I have burns to my chin, side of face, above lips. Very Embarrassing when you have to work in a store. Itched all day nonstop... Horrible. Not sure what y'all put in this stuff..Stay away.

I had a nasty injury from this product. I wasted time and money at a dermatologist--multiple trips that proved futile. Money wasted on medications that did no good. Stress. Embarrassment. How is it this crap product is legal? I can't buy high-fluoride toothpaste without a prescription, but this poison is ripe for the taking in aisle 3. What a world we live in.

I had used Just For Men (JFM) hair dye in the past without complaint but last time, when I used the product, I am itchy all over my scalp. It's been more than a week now and I cannot sleep at night because of the itch. I scratch my head all night and now I am even oozing fluid from my scalp? I have kept the used product and bottle for reference. I am open to a class action legal proceeding against JFM. I am in great discomfort with sleepless night.

Purchased JFM in November 2014 to try coloring my beard for the first time. First treatment worked well with no skin problems. Second treatment on December 14th turned out exactly as others have described. Within 6 hours a rash had started to form. Extreme itching and blister/oozing. Did a skin test as well with no problems. I would have never imagined a product sold over the counter could have such bad effects. This is something that should be pulled. I will be putting in a formal complaint to company. I'm hoping that the skin issues get better fast. I'd be scared to shave right now for fear of what I'd look like! Do not use this product!

I bought some of this stuff about six weeks ago. I was using it about once a week. I started noticing that I was becoming very itchy. Not just on my face, but on my neck and on various spots on my whole body. I didn't realize what the cause was until today. I used the stuff yesterday and last night and today my neck, body were uncontrollably itchy. And my eyes became red, swollen and itchy. My neck even feels slightly raw to the touch. I Googled this crap wondering if this was the cause and BINGO. I realize now that every time I used this, these symptoms would follow. I didn't realize it at first because it wasn't just where I used it, it was a body wide reaction. Buyer beware. Your gray might be reduced, but the rest of you will be a mess. I'm a swollen mess.

Used JFM 12/12/14 on my beard by 12/13/14 woke up with a swollen face redness and itchy as hell now after being to the ER. They prescribed topical cream steroids. My face is swollen to the point of not recognising myself, I'm not sleeping, can't stop itching my face. This is the most devastating feeling of how I look. Going back to ER this morning again, my face is on fire.

My face hurts too much to type out a long description of my experience, which would just be practically identical to most of the others I'm reading here. I'm stunned, I thought I was the only one; I don't know why I didn't think to search online for other stories like mine, until today. I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who wrote in about this, somehow I find it vaguely comforting. I'm also writing this to add one more voice to those who really, really don't want more people to unnecessarily suffer through this. For me it's been over a month since I tried to get rid of those unimportant little gray whiskers and I've still got the runny rashy skin in places (including around my nose and sores up a little ways into my nostrils--man, that hurts). The swelling went away many days ago but I'm still not comfortable out in public, and it hurts to open my mouth wide to brush my teeth, or blow my nose, or just dab up the little spots of pus. How did this happen? Is it going to go away? Is this the new normal?

Same as all the other reports. Burning, scaling, one of two days after, drying and itching. Throw this stuff away if you have it. Someone need to share an alternative product and any topical solution to start skin repairing.

I'm writing this to help other people to know that you are not alone if you have had a bad experience with Just for Men hair products. I have been using both for my head and my beard these products and in the past have had good results without incident but I notice lately that I had an uncontrollable itch in one spot on my face and chin. I thought nothing of it at first but it has increased and now within the last two weeks I have both sides of my face itching beyond control to the point where I want to pull my face off. It's not a good feeling, somebody needs to stop this company from manufacturing or making this product. People please do not use this product, unless you want to go through hell...

I first tried this stuff in mid-August 2014, did the required skin test, fine, and it colored my beard fine with no problems. Used it again in early October, no problems. On the last use in late November all hell broke loose. Itchy beard, then rash along edges, oozing under beard, and now about a week later the rash seems to have taken on a life of its own... WTF! There are red itchy blotches all over my neck, itching along my jaw and up behind my ears even though I've only grown a small goatee/mustache.

I used Just for Men mustache and beard for nearly 4 years. I used a box in December of 2014 that I believe I purchased in October of 2014. Made my face red, burns, and itches. And worst of all it didn't even change the color of my facial hair. Obviously they changed their product or had a bad batch with this many complaints. Just for Men will now go out of business unless they admit they messed it up because why would anyone buy more to feel the same pain?

In agony from Just for Men beard dye, used it a few times and had itchiness but thought it was normal but this time I've blisters all over and am waking up to itch. It's that bad. I can't say it's like that for everyone but I wouldn't risk it again. I'd hate to see my face right now if I shaved my beard off ...

I used this product before with no issue (seems like a common theme here) with no issues whatsoever. Now this week I bought a new box to get the grey beard hair to go away. Since I have started to receive AARP advertisements (only 46 so someone turned me into the old police). Anyway, I have what I can only call a chemical burn. Nothing seems to relieve the pain, swelling and blisters this has caused. Can you say class action lawsuit here? This is horrible!!!

Used Just for Men for Beards and Mustaches yesterday. Have used the product for years with no problem. Woke up this morning with a swollen and painfully itchy face. Really upset! No puss or anything like that. However it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Looks like someone slapped me repeatedly and my jaws are swollen.

Holy Crap...I thought it was just me. After using this crap, itching, burning, red sores... Went to my doctor and he told me to put Lotrimin on it...an anti fungal... Holy Crap... It worked but I'll never use this Crap ever again...

I've used it in the past. This time my face looks like the elephant man. Extremely swollen and irritated. Face feels like leather now. I can barely even open my mouth.

I'm writing this to help other men to know that you are not alone, if you have had a bad experience with just for men hair products. I just read what everyone is going through from using this product... and I second all of it. I'm 36 and greyed early. In the past this product worked very well... GREY GONE. I was happy, felt good and the beard kept me warm working outside last Winter. This time around (Nov 24/14) I feel like a test subject for a product that could be used in chemical warfare.

I have used JFM for over 10 years. I bought a new box a week ago. Applied the product on my chin and it has been hell ever since. I am constantly itching and having difficulty going to sleep. I am going to see my doctor tomorrow. This product is garbage and needs to be banned.

It's been 8 days since using just for men beard coloring. I have had to go to the ER and the dermatologist to receive medical treatment. I have been on antibiotics and anti inflammatory. I have had red oozing, pussing, itchy skin for the last week. Do not use this product!

I've used JFM in the past without a problem. Just yesterday, 11/17/2014, I used JFM Coloring again... A few hours later, the entire area from ear to ear & all in between became red, swollen, itchy & dripping a clear puss as I was scratching? Today I'm at work, it looks terrible & burns. I contacted the JFM website & there is nothing for burns? Just a contact us button. I even tested a small spot on my hairline first? But when I applied to my face? OOWWW!!!!! All the symptoms, with no relief, didn't sleep at all. I have box & receipt saved.

Burning, itching, clear pus in my beard, scabs, blisters. Did I mention ITCHING! Been 4 days and isn't getting better. WTF = I want compensation! And not just the $9 I paid to go through this hell ** BS!

My husband has used Just for Men for approximately 5 years with no problem. I purchased a new box for him in November 2014 and he used it last weekend to darken his mustache. The next day he woke up swollen, itchy and had sores which were dripping pus ...so much so that he had to walk around with a tissue to constantly wipe the liquid off. It has now been 5 full days of no sleep and inability to go in public as it is an ugly, irritating mess. Started him on Benadryl, Antibiotic Ointment and Oral Antibiotics and not much relief. This stuff is VERY DANGEROUS and has been a terrible experience for him--as it seems nothing gives relief. I really do think he will have permanent scarring. Please do not use this stuff!!!

I have used Just for Men for past year with no problems, then I purchased a new box a month ago. This new box was OK the first 2 times I used it and now this last use, today it started burning, itching, liquid coming out off my top lip, and my top lip is swollen. I mix it the same way every time and only leave on my mustache for 4 to 4 and a half minutes each use.

I have used JFM for over a year on my beard with no problem. Last week, I developed blisters after using the product. I thought perhaps that I had a breakout of fever blisters (although I had never had them before). I have nursed the sores for the last week and they were nearly gone. Today, I colored my beard and WHAM the sores are back with avenges!! My face is itching like crazy and the sores are oozing pus! They obviously changed their product formula! Use at your own risk!!

I have used JFM Mustache & Beard many times before with no problems. Nov. 7th I purchased a new box at Walgreens. Applied same night and next morning woke up with my face on fire, swollen & oozing sores. I have missed work due to my appearance as well as the pain. Can't sleep a wink and feel bad all over. I researched the problem for help. I have tried Benadryl, hydrocortisone, & aloe. It's going to take time to get over the damage. Time is money! This is ridiculous. Why has this product not been pulled off the market.? Hope I am not disfigured. I am saving the box & receipt in case further proof is required.

I just used the product yesterday and felt a burning sensation all day long. Secondly it didn't distinguish the color well. This morning I gently shaved it all off. I put Vaseline petroleum jelly in the area to soothe my skin somewhat. Greasy but soothing. This is an allergic reaction I have always had after the new formula has been made.

I tried the beard coloring and now my chin is dripping some sort sticky ooze!!!!!! I'm so disappointed and feel dumb for buying this product. I thought it was a little harsh on my chin as I was applying it but I figured it was normal. A few hours later it started to itch and burn like crazy. Now it's raw and red as hell!

I've been a JFM user for years now. No problems until this latest batch I purchased 10/14/2014. Did the skin test and had no problems. Used the beard coloring and within a few hours my face has uncontrollable itching. I have bumps coming up and oozing puss. What the hell did they change in the product to make it start doing this to me??? I'm sure it was to save JFM a few cents on the making of the product. Go back to the previous product JFM or I will never use anything your company make again!!!

I have used this product in the past like 4 years ago. The first time I used it I did notice a slight warm sensation for the first few hours. Eventually it went away and never thought twice about it again. Until recently as 1 year that burning sensation persisted after each use and I kept questioning if I had mixed the product correctly. I used the product as per instructions. I still had the same result, my chin and part of my mustache area red and swollen. The only solution that I came up with to relieve my face from the itching and pain was to completely shave off my facial hair and use an ice pack to cool down my face. Shaking my head in total and utter disappointment. A message to the makers of JFM, fix that issue and you'll have me back as a customer for the next 20 years.

I have been experience some short of breath and some burning feeling in my scalp that is not very major with using the product and so I have decided to reduce the use of it. The last time I used it I had a very weird neck pain that went down to between my shoulder and thought that I got old... It did go away and forgot about it until I went for using it again with some meeting that I was going to and thought to cover my good looking grey... So, now the pain is back in my neck and actually some lumps as well that is uneven. It goes down to my shoulder and after reading all of this and remember what happened to me before, I just swallowed an anti-histamine tablet and hope that it help subside the pain. I just can not sleep comfortably with the pain and I wake up at the middle of the night. To be clear I will say that I think it's the cause of my pain about 75% I think it is... Will confirm once if I come here in the future.

Blister after light usage. I thought it was because the way I mixed it, but I even tried different ratios and still the same painful results: itchy, blister, bump, oozing pus. I know I'm adding to the forum but please out of all of us, somebody must post a remedy or cure to the side effects. Any remedies! Anybody??

I wanted to color the gray hairs in my beard. I'm 41 by the way. So I did exactly what the instructions said and rinsed it out in less than 5 minutes. Shortly thereafter my shower I could feel a slight burning and itching. A couple hrs later it was really starting to burn. What could I do, I had already wash it out. I tried putting cold water on my chin but that didn't help. Then I noticed my chin was wet. Not from the water but my chin started oozing puss. Couldn't hardly see it because of the hair (which was still gray) being in the way.

JFM needs to be held responsible for these careless actions. Do not care what they say or admit this product is a danger to the male population. I am speaking with legal support as this Company needs to be made to pay compensation for all the pain and suffering they have caused. I will never purchase this sorry product again.

I've used the product for more than 5 years - never had a problem. Recently, I got irritation, itchiness, redness and flakiness on the skin underneath. I bought a new box (and different color) and used it with the same painful results. This time not only did it not work (color the beard) it also gave me the same burning and itching. This time I did do the skin test and did not have a problem. I would stay away as from what I've read, the skin reaction can be much worse (i.e. a trip to the ER).

On 07-10-14 I purchased Just For Men dark brown. That afternoon followed direction and carried out test on arm, on the 09-10-14 test patch, ok. Applied product, looked good. 10-10-14 noticed test patch becoming irritable, by 11-10-14 climbing the ceilings with blisters throughout head and chest as I applied to chest hair as well, oozing blisters extreme itch / discomfort. Have crushed vertebrate, chain sawed leg in past, which was a walk in park compared to the discomfort this product has caused and still causing me. Now 23-10-11 blisters have subsided, however rash has know spread over large areas of body where product was not applied. Doctors have me on an array of medication, hopefully there is an end to this suffering which is not death.

My cheeks are maddenly itchy after applying Just For Men (beard & mustache) Medium Brown. I don't have the batch date handy, but I applied it about 8pm and awoke at 3am scratching my cheeks like crazy! Have been using the product for a year and this is the first time it's happening.

I used jfm 10/15/14 around 5pm I was heading to the conference I am currently attending. I have spent my entire trip with a horrible itch and pain on my face and lower chin. I have red blotches that are oozing a clear puss. It is now 10/17/14 and the itching has not subsided. I'm afraid to keep scratching my face as I feel like I will start to bleed. This has been a horrible 2 days I will never use jfm again. I would suggest you find some alternative natural method. From what I have read some people are allergic to the binder ppd. I fear that since this allergy is rare jfm is not willing or does not care to address the issue. I used the jet black color. I can't wait for this pain and discomfort to go away.

The account that you've read on all is very accurate and very true. I too found myself in the emergency room without breath, a huge rash all over my body, burning almost on fire like swelling, couldn't breathe - had to be Treat with Benadryl and steroid and was there for almost 5 hours under observation. Please discontinue this product or have a major recall because I recall using it various times in the past and never this happening. But for the past 8 months - have been getting a reaction that has gotten worse and worse after every use and the last time I used it, it was horrible..

Did they actually test this stuff on human beings? I've used this product JFM Beard and Mustache dye for over 12 years if not longer and yes, along the way there might have been a little discomfort re: slight burning or itching and redness in spots but nothing that lasted long and was gone in a day. However, after using this newest batch on 10/12/2014 it's been a nightmare. What with swelling of cheeks (on the face) and a fire red face from my eyebrows down to my chin, blisters in my goatee and an uncontrollable itch that nothing I've taken can relieve. There was no need to change this product as it worked just fine over the years. Who in the name of common sense would dare put market a product that has sent people to emergency rooms as stated in previous complaints and why on earth is it still out on the shelves? This product should be recalled immediately and JFM should be held responsible to every person affected by the physically and emotional damages their product has caused. Totally disappointed in JFM.

embarrassment! I avoided my coworkers and my boss because of how it looked. The itching was so agonizing on my face and head that I didn't sleep for 2 nights. I wanted to cry. It drove me nuts. It was like being tortured. My head was so sore from itching and scratching.

Worst experience ever, I've used this product many times before and completing skin test... I am still having mental effects from this.. burns, blisters, skin irritation and peeling, itching, rashes, facial swelling, swollen glands, privates irritated and skin discoloration that never went away... 3 ER visits and doctor visits. This product is dangerous and total embarrassment going out in public.... I know I deserve compensation for pain and suffering and unpaid hospital visits.... it's caused a change in my life..... somebody needs to be held accountable.

Yes, I used the JFM hair dye and it burned my skin so bad I had to go to the emergency room for treatment. The worst experience of my life.

My experience with this product is identical to the others. Used the product before with no problem. Used it again in October 2014 and woke up with burning and itching all over my face and my lips were swollen, felt like they were on fire. It's now two weeks after the application and I am still in pain, lips not getting any better making it very difficult to eat. The facial itching is unbearable, making it impossible to sleep. I agree with the other comments. The company has done something to the formula and is denying it. All of these cases are too similar spread out around the world for this to be a coincidence. JFM has to be investigated and all appropriate actions taken to resolve customer complaints. This product should be recalled immediately.

I used Just For Men mustache and beard according to the directions, on 10/2/14. Within the next few days due to extreme pain and redness that got worse every day, on 10/8 I made an emergency visit to my doctor's office where I learned I had a chemical burn from the product which developed into a bright red, pussy infection all over my face (bearded area; mustache and full beard excluding neck) where I used the product. My doctor said it was a horrible case and gave me a topical antibiotic as well as an oral antibiotic. By Friday, 10/10, after continued extreme itching and pain causing sleep deprivation, anxiety, frustration and embarrassment (to be seen in public due to the appearance) I went back to the doctor.

I have used Just For Men mustache and beard and hair dyes for at least 10 years. I purchased medium/dark brown mustache and beard color in June, applied it as directed including the skin test. Following the directions, I colored my beard, took a shower and washed it off thoroughly and shampooed it twice like I have ALWAYS done at night. That night I woke up itching bad on my face. There was a rash so bad that I intermediately shaved my beard off and washed my face. The rash remained on my face for over two weeks.

Well when I came in the break room one of my staff members said what happen did you fall or did someone hit you? My husband purchased the Just For Men facial dye and used it for a few weeks. He experienced a horrible reaction that in form of an infection, swelling, bumps, and an uncontrollable drainage coming from his face. He is taking Benadryl, a topical antibiotic, and a steroid to relieve the symptoms. We are both disappointed in this product.

I used jfm last year with no problem. This year I used it and my face turned red and started itching! I can't get a decent night sleep cause of the burning and itching! I have to get up every 3 hours to change the ice pack!!! IT SUCKS! I will never buy it again. I will go gray!!!

I am a first time user of this product, applied 10:00 am on10/5/14, as of tonight 10/6 8:00 PM, what was a mild itch on the outset has turned into a burning and irritation with welts, splotches, redness and swelling all around my mustache and beard area. I've been using jet black for about 4 years and until about 1 year ago I experienced, swelling of my cheeks, lips and chin. After applying it I also have a burning sensation around my lips and chin and pus and some other type of liquid forms around the area I apply to.

My experience was using the JFM Beard & Mustache (Dark Brown). I had been using packages from CVS marked with a copyright year of 2013 without any issues for several months. I then ordered directly from JFM online and received a 2012 marked box. THIS is when I noticed a problem. The 2012 dye made my hair scrunchy and didn't appear to "work" as well as the CVS 2013 packages. I then bought a three pack from Amazon and received 2014 marked boxes. With this 2014 version, I am experiencing a burning sensation when I apply it and getting itching and some redness on my face. I am also losing hairs! I think the formula changed and there was a chemical reaction between the 2013-2012-2014 dyes. I have discontinued use until this itchiness goes away and when the dye wears off...

Friend of mine said he was dyeing his stubble and recommended I try Just 4 Men beard dye. I bought Jet Black. No issues, did 3 applications over 6 weeks whilst my beard was around an inch and growing. Didn't use it for 4 weeks as I ran out and the brown/ginger came through. So I bought the Dark Brown/Black color. Applied it. Same day I had a bath. I then put the usual products on at night. That night I spent all evening itching and scratching in my sleep. Over a few days I had dried skin and small rash. Saw the doctor who said it was a fungi infection and prescribed a special shampoo. I thought it was psoriasis (I can't spell it but had it on my head before).

I have used product since 2013. Had not had any negative reactions until the box I bought in July at Walmart in Missouri. Applied to my beard. Left it on 5 minutes. Got in shower and washed it off. Didn't seem to darken that much. Then later that night jaw area swelling and red and itching. My chin had water dripping out of it. During night keep me up looking in mirror and trying to wash it clean - no luck. Next day chin swells more and lips and neck area affected. Started googling to see what to do. Labor Day Holiday. Miserable and my Doc’s not in. Can I make it until Tuesday without serious problems… getting anxiety. Is this dangerous stuff? Help.

Just bought this product and applied only a very SMALL! Amount to my mustache area and remaining beard. As a consequence I have just started with the symptoms everyone else is talking about, itching, scabbing and swelling etc. This product is seriously dangerous. DO NOT USE!!! I've used the product for years with no problem. Over the last few weeks I've been burned by the chemicals. It's itching horribly, redness, burning sensation. Driving me crazy. Painful. Creating scars then the itching leads to bleeding scars. Slight swelling. The burning is the worst. No cream will alleviate the pain. I thought perhaps I had just become allergic to it for some reason - but I was shocked to see everyone else on here and on other websites experiencing the same thing. The scars ooze and then after some time crusts over (disgusting, sorry). It's a yellowish crust leaving tender red skin underneath. If you wash off the crust, it starts all over again with oozing. I'm going to see a doctor tomorrow. I was holding out but I'm done. It's not getting any better.

My husband used Just for men, LAST YEAR for approx. 3 months. When he started getting a rash on his face he stopped using it. But the problems didn't stop. He still suffers from rash and facial swelling around his mouth, almost a year later. Doc has prescribed antihistamines and cortisone, but nothing works. DON'T use this junk!!!

I have used this product before and had no problems at all until a week ago. I used this product one morning after work, I shaved my face and dyed my beard. Well the next day my face was swollen and looked like someone had punched me hard on both sides of my face. There was some nasty yellow disgusting puss oozing from my jaws, chin, cheeks and from the corners of my mouth. "Very embarrassing." I didn't wanna leave the house at all. There were hard thick scabs all over my face and chin and under my neck. And it was itching constantly. I tried not to scratch it but I couldn't help it. And when I did scratch it flakes off. Scabs would be everywhere all over my shirt! I had no idea what this was until I saw a commercial on tv about this product giving me facial chemical burns. I have two boxes left and they are both going in the trash!!!!!! I will never buy this product again, nor will I recommend it!!!

Used JFM two weeks ago for the first (and last) time. Followed the directions to the letter and woke up with yellowish ooze coming from my swollen face. Had to put a towel on my pillow for two days until the oozing subsided. It left small hard scabs under my beard where the oozing came from. Five days after that, the itching started and then my face started peeling and flaking. What is even MORE disturbing is that I came into contact with someone who uses this product regularly (learned this in retrospect) and after inadvertently using the same face towel, my friggin LIPS swelled up and started burning and cracking. WTF is in this stuff????

I have been using this product Just For Men hair dye for years and until today I just used this 3 days ago and I notice some rash and swelling on my face and hairline had black spots - look like burns and bump in my head. This is the first time this happen to me. I had to go the hospital before but I did not know what was going on and I got very sick and I remember now I had dye my hair with this Just For Men. I've been using Just For Men products for years with great results. The night of August 17th, 2014 all that changed. I used the beard & mustache dye by Just For Men only to wake up from sleeping with my chin & mouth area feeling tight & sore. I jumped out of bed in fear rushing to the bathroom mirror. The sight I saw blew me away. All around my mouth, chin, & under my chin area were swollen. My chin was oozing pus. I was standing there in disbelief. It's almost time for me to start getting ready to start the work week. I can't make it - not only was I feeling pain & my chin was oozing pus. I could hardly move my mouth to talk, not to mention " I Looked Terrible!!" I had to seek medical attention, got 2 shots - a steroid shot & a shot of Benadryl. Discharged with prescriptions for them both. I feel like there has been a change in this product & it's now very harmful. Not sure about the others I've read about but I'm seeking an attorney for pain & suffering, also lost time & wages from work.

My husband used this product on a Saturday and he woke up the next morning with his hair stuck to the pillow. The oozing was so bad. He had used it before with no problems. During that day - Sunday, hives starting popping out everywhere. By Monday he had to go to the Dr. Because the itching was driving him insane. It at first looked like a chemical burn. The Dr. Gave him steroids and a cream. We went back 3 weeks later and had to do another round of steroids. The rash went through his whole body down to his feet. Months later where his ear had burned, his ear swelled so bad we had to go to the ER. They called it Cauliflower ear due to a previous injury . His ear is now permanently damaged and misshaped. Now almost three years later he is still having hair issues. PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR MAN USE THIS PRODUCT.

I've used the above product for close to 10 years and have experienced a severe reaction to the product. My face would burn, itch and I would develop a rash. The rash would last a couple of days, the itching would last several days and the only thing I found to stop the rash was Hydrocortisone Cream. This product needs to be evaluated to determine its safe use by men. I'm upset that it took quite a few years for me to discover what was causing my issues with using this product.

I've used this product over the year with sometime good result but many more HORRIBLE results. There has always been some itching after a day or two in which I tolerated. But many more times I've asked myself what am I STUPID!? In the beginning it looks for the most part great! By the next day bring the pain... the burning, the itching, the skin oozing, the dripping, the swollen jawline, the cancelled appointments because you don't want to go out looking like that. I have been using JFM beard colouring product for many years with no problems. The last 2 times the substance has rendered my beard area to dreadful itching, redness, blisters and water oozing from the lesions around my chin! The manufacturer must have changed the ingredients and now I consider this product dangerous! Use this junk at your peril if you read this and use it afterwards then don't say you weren't warned! WHY didn't they tell us the product has changed so many people with the same condition cant be wrong! JFM you have messed up big time, and now you need to put this right - apart from pain, irritation and embarrassment I am so angry. Shame on you!!

I have used this product before (JFM) with no prior problems... even just last week with no problems... Last night before going to a party I used a little on my goatee... I woke up on 8/10/14 with all the same sores, blisters, puss oooozing out, etc... It itches like crazy and I don't know what to do!

Just for Men Mustache Beard and Sideburns - After the irritation test and a first use, my face was on fire. Same as everyone else, nasty pus and swelling and major scratching. I would scratch at my desk and flake everywhere. Also seem like I have more grey hairs on my beard than before?

My experience is the same as the many experiences recounted here. I have been going to a dermatologist who has been trying to figure out why my lip has been inflamed and pussy, etc. Only after reading the comments on this website did I realize the connection, as this started the day I applied JFM. All the symptoms including the burning sensation on my chin and lesions near my sideburns together with the lip inflammation are the same as reported here. I called them related what had happened and they said they would send me a refund, after I read them the lot number on the box. Yes, Just for Money.

I used to use the product and thought I would do it again for my 30-year reunion. After applying 48 hours later, it was as my whole scalp had opened up with sores and pus. I never had this problem before but it had been years. The oozing was so bad it was really running down my forehead. It is now coming up on two weeks and applying cream and took some steroids as well as Benadryl. I still itch and it spread down a little to neck. Do not use this product and just live with the grey hair.

I had been a user since it was introduced in the early 90s. When they came out with the Beard and Mustache formula, I also began using it on my mustache and goatee. However, in 2008, I began to get leaking sore on my bottom lip and blisters several days after using it. I inquired about a change in formula and they denied it 100%. There is no doubt in my mind that they did and it is what is causing these blisters and sores. When I discontinue, they go away. I had to shave all my facial hair off and keep it off. I did continue to use it on my head with the only problem being a slight itching. I recently wanted to grow the mustache again so I put some on my new mustache growth and lo and behold, 2 days later, blisters on my bottom lip.

I have used JFM for over 3 years and just like most of the comments within the last month I have noticed a significant change to the product, my face, and beard. My face now itches like crazy and I have had problems sleeping at night. I have developed scaly patches that seem to be permanent. I have red bumps that oozes pus daily. This has been a living hell for me; limiting me to going out as I often like to. I highly recommend everyone to immediate cease using this product and if there is a class action suit, someone please post the needed information.

My boyfriend used this on his goatee and had it on for 4 min, showered and rinsed it off. Had a little bit of burning afterward, then that night he woke up with his face swollen and pus coming out and burning. The next morning, it was worse with the swelling, fluid/pus dripping from his cheeks and his chin and painful burning. He decided to go to the doc later that am. They gave some antibiotic cream and said to take some Ibuprofen. He came home, still painful burning and swelling and had to keep a towel under his chin to catch the liquid dripping out of his chin - it was so bad. He of course missed work today and will stay home again tomorrow. It's been a painful, horrific experience the last 48 hours and he's still miserable.

Devastating results and a truly dangerous product that should be banned. I used this product three times - the last time I developed severe scalp irritation and weeping/bleeding scalp sores that persisted for well over one month. During this period my life was agony. The worst was to follow hair loss. Now some four months after my last Just for Men application my hair seems to be returning to normal i.e. not falling out by the handful!

Used this product in the past, and it has worked great. About five days ago, I applied the product to my facial hair, let set for five minutes, and then immediately took a shower to wash out as instructed. I noticed slight itchiness immediately, and the next day it got worse. Everyday the skin irritation worsened. After using antihistamines and cortisone cream for several days, I saw my doctor. He prescribed prednisone due to the extreme rash and the way it is spreading on my face. I am on the 1st day of prednisone, hoping this will cure my rash. This product should be banned!

I have been using Just for Men for 12 years now and never had a problem until 2014. I get these painful and pus-leaking sores on my mustache area that will not go away. The dermatologist gave me a steroid foam but it burns so bad and just made it get blood-red and feels worse now. Any recommendations on what to do? How long does it take to get rid of these things. Has anyone found an alternative to JFM? I don't get this reaction on my hair, just the beard. Thanks to anyone that has info.

I was a loyal customer that used the product twice a week for over 10 years. However this past April/May I started breaking out in severe itchy rashes. The cracking of my upper lip is so painful with every opening of my mouth to talk, laugh or eat. I have applied cortisone cream neosporin, Benadryl and even an over the counter eczema cream. No relief. The scarring is very obvious and peeling constantly. I have gone grey and red and scaly. It is very itchy and painful. The itchy and peeling has gotten so bad that friends and family noticed I was always scratching my goatee, my chin and my upper lips. I have tried carman, blister and Vaseline for my lips. I am happy to see my experience is not alone.

I have been using JFM for many years on my beard without problems. The new formula came along and now the last couple of times of using it I break out in sores. Itches like mad and puss coming out of the sores. At first I wasn't sure what was causing it. The new formula should be taken off the shelves. I have emailed JFM and am waiting on a reply which I suspect will just say to stop using the product. Something should be done about this.

I have been useing Just For Men for over a year and never had a problem until now. Last week my face started getting light around my goatee. Then it started burning. Now I have blisters. I am suppose to go to a big cookout on the 4th of July which is tomorrow and meet with people I haven't seen in over 30 years. I can't show up with the area around my mouth looking like this. I need to contact someone because this doesn't make any sense. And I see that it's not only me and it seems that this product got bad starting this year. If someone would please let me know how to fix this, can you pass it along. I have a picture up but the cream on my face may have covered up the blisters and I don't wanna remove the cream. Now my face is leaking.

I've used this product with great results for over 10 years. However with the last few applications I experienced itching, redness, blistering (with clear liquid coming from the blisters), burning, and extreme dry skin after a few days. I'm afraid I might have some scarring to deal with also. I'm so upset with this product right now, I will never use it again. I used Just for Men and got a bad burning rash on hmm face, a rash on both arms, chest and my legs. I eventually got puss filled pockets on my head and left jaw. I had to post go on several rounds of antibiotics and steroids. I have some permanent scarring.

Started using this in November 2013 with little problem. Skin test were fine. May 2014, got a horrible weeping sore on my upper lip. Dr. thought impetigo because there were other sores, then thought cold sores on second visit, and went through that prescription. Had it cultured, no hsv1 (thank god). Turns out to be the reaction everyone is talking about here. Different formula or build up reaction? Don't know, but it really sucks, and isn't going away. Quit the product. Guess I'm growing grey gracefully. This product is bad news.

I have been using this product for six months and no problem. But last month I developed itchy followed by oozing blisters. It was getting worst everyday. I never suspected allergy from the 'JUST FOR MEN' hair dye. I went to the dermatologist who thought as 'acne'. After a week of anti viral, nothing good happens. Again I go the doctor, he says maybe it is folliculitis and gives me prescription for antibiotic and anti viral. After two weeks medication it subsided. Yesterday I applied hair dye. Boom! Within five minutes I started getting the same reaction on my skin. Now I know this is the culprit. I wonder how this product, which is unfriendly with the skin can be in the market. Please do something.

Purchased on 6/22/2014 and had used product in the past without a problem. Used as directed and developed shortly after swelling, redness, blisters with yellow discharge and scabbing. I'm in so much pain. This product is dangerous. The damage may leave scarring on my face for the rest of my life.

The next day, my face was oozing clear liquids that would dry up and form uncomfortable scabs and felt like sandpaper and it made my skin tough to move for even the most common facial expressions: smiling, eating, etc. This stuff needs to be taken off the shelves before it hurts someone else. I can't go out in public and prefer to stay inside so I don't have to let anyone see the condition this concoction has left my face in. I will deal with my gray beard hair and I won't go near this product ever again.

I have used JFM for over 7 years without a single problem and with good results. Purchased several boxes of the "New look" JFM and it's changed. My scalp, ears, and neck suffered burning and severe itching. Never had this problem with the previous "old" JFM. Took the whole lot back and got my money back. Won't ever use this stuff again.

I had been using Just For Men for a couple months without any issues. Now my face is swollen, clear oil sticky substance leaking from my face, itching. I don't know what happened but this is something that clearly needs to be taken off the shelf, ASAP!!

I started using JFM about a year ago at the request of my wife. Around October I developed neck pain/discomfort and headaches. Lived with it for a couple of months until decided to see a doctor. MRI and X-rays of my head were OK and showed natural signs of aging but nothing else. Sent to a pain doctor who injected the back of my head a couple of times and diagnosed the problem as tension headaches.

I thought it was me... but after reading all the complaints I know this not to be the case... it's the product. My face itched, the skin flaked off and I now have a permanent dis-coloring outlining my mustache. I do not believe it is safe for human usage and should be pulled from the shelves!!

Just purchased my second box of JFM beard and mustache. Identical symptoms as described by others... Itching, weeping lesions. I have attempted to remove product, and have applied Benadryl and an antibiotic. I have taken pictures to document. Either their formula has changed, or there are 363 people whose body chemistry suddenly changed (I'm sure countless others are unreported). This product is dangerous and should be removed.

I used this product for years on my mustache and goatee, no probs. Used it 12/062014 and my face is on fire. I've now got blisters, pus oozing down my lips and chin, and scabs. My lips are so sore. It's driving me crazy. I can't leave the house. I'm so angry at JFM. What have you done to the product?? I'm in agony. I've tried burn fell packs, sudacrem, it's not helping at all. I haven't had much sleep since. I'm so itchy. Someone please help.

My boyfriend had been using this product for years with no problem until a few months ago. Recently he has been complaining of his face itching, sores with stuff oozing and swelling with headaches. He didn't know what was happening or why until yesterday he saw on TV about what was happening to a lot of men using this product. After reading all the reviews we are convinced it's JFM. I am never purchasing this product again. Right now his face is swollen.

Used JFM Beard Dye for a few years with no problems. Used the product recently and noticed burning and subsequent blistering of the skin. Took a couple of weeks to clear up. There must be something different in this product now, as I've used with no adverse effects in the past.

I too have been a victim of this nasty product. I have used the dark brown beard dye for years and it worked fine. Recently I broke out with the intense itching, red sores that ooze liquid, and white scaly patches. This has happened several times to me. I even bought another box because I thought it was a bad batch. This time is even worse. I have been home bound for a week now because I look so bad. I emailed the company and gave them all the information on the boxes and their only response was to stop using it. Something clearly needs to be done about a class action suit. It takes forever for these sores to go away. Hopefully it won't leave permanent scars.

I started using Just For Men beard dye to cover my gray hair and noticed sores and blisters. I did not know the exact cause of them until the correlation became evident as I again used the product and the sores and blisters returned. Last night I applied the dye to the upper cheek for the first time, a few inches below my eyes. I woke during the night scratching as it woke me up with the itching sores. The sores and blisters are extensive and bleeding which is embarrassing to be at work leading group therapy but I have no leave for the first year of employment with this hospital.

Wow, It must be a change in their formula. I have used JFM for the last 3-4 years just fine, but the last box I bought a few weeks ago is giving me terrible rashes and itches. Not as bad as many of the comments I have seen, but enough for me to prefer grey as my new brown! It seems international as I live in Australia!

I first tried this product about 6 months ago when I tried growing a goatee for the first time. I kept getting scabbed up pus blisters on my chin. At first I didn't associate it with JFM. I just assumed that because I've never grown a goatee before it was a reaction to growing hair on my chin after close to 30 years of shaving. I finally gave up on the goatee, and decided to use the remaining product on the sides of my head that starts to grey. Well SAME reaction as my chin, so now I KNOW the product is responsible for the bumps, blisters, pus and scabs. Along with that, I accidentally got some of the product on the top of my ear, and that spot too got the blister/scab, etc. I'd love to know of any lawsuits. I would be happy to join. But more importantly.... Is there a SAFE product to use?

I started using JFM dark black 4 months ago and experience everything that everyone talked about. I thought it was me like ingrown hair or zits but these sores came from the kit. I loved how my beard looked. It took time to get it right as I has goatee with edge trim along jaw line... as difficult to cover but using wet Q-tips help with cleaning up and straighten my lines. I had the itching after my second application. The sores followed and then the crazy dripping. I only applied this 2 a week and showed my wife who agreed, as a nurse, I have some kind of reaction to the dye. After read this horror story... it seems this product is unsafe. I am going to report to health Canada. If we make enough noise, hopefully we can get this resolved.

I "had" been a previous customer of "Just for Men" until recently when I developed chemical burns on my face and severe itching. I have also experienced a swollen upper lip from dying my mustache in the past but did not realize it until recently that "Just for Men" was the cause. Approximately five weeks ago I decided to grow a beard, which was coming in a little gray, and figured since I did not have any "test" skin reactions to the product that I would use it on my beard. HUGE MISTAKE! I developed chemical burns, red welts and severe itching. There were nights when I could not sleep because I was too busy scratching my face off. It was only until I did some searching on the internet did I discover that "Just for Men" was the problem.

I used Just For Men for about 6 months without problem, but this past time I starting itching and then on the way to work, I noticed clear oozing coming from my skin just above the jaw line. The itching doesn't stop and I'm red and scabbing now. Is there any relief??? I tried a moisturizer and antibiotic cream - nothing helps.

It burns.... I want an alternative but it is definitely not right this product is on the market. I have 4 unopened boxes in my closet which now I can't use. Someone should do something!

I used Just For Men on Saturday evening on my mustache and beard. About three hours after I used it, my face started to itch. I made it through the night. The following morning when I woke up, my face had little blisters or scabs, and my face is very sore. It is now Tuesday morning, I just woke up and my face is still really sore, little scabs or blisters, and itches like you wouldn't believe.

I have used JFM for over 10 years and have never had a problem until the past few months. I have had allergic reactions that have progressed to the point that I have experienced blisters on my head and rash and a sunburn effect on my back. I contacted the company and asked if they had changed the make up of the product telling them I had a reaction. I noticed that one of the 2 part solutions had changed. It was now a white colored. They refused to answer the question and only told me to stop using the product. This last reaction has lasted 6 weeks and I have went to 2 Dermatologists and most recently went to the Cleveland Clinic, and as of this writing no relief. JFM had done something and it is making a lot of people sick. Something needs to be done.

First, sorry to hear so many others have gone through the same thing. I applied JFM coloring to my beard per the instructions. Later that night, after getting to a hotel across country, my face was on fire and itching. A couple hours after that, I started leaking pus and that carried on for the next two days. 4 days later, I am still in pain and am itching. With the little I can see under my beard, I am afraid to shave because I think there may be permanent damage. Is that possible? Has the company talked about the cause?

I used this product several times but the last few times, I started noticing the blisters under my lip. The last time I used it, my face and lips had swollen up so bad I had to run to the pharmacist to get some over-the-counter medicine. My throat felt like it was going to close. My eyes was bloodshot red. I was going to a play that night with the family and thought I would not make it. My face was so disfigured my daughter noticed it right away. The chemicals in this product are harmful. After reading all these articles, I now know it just wasn't me. I would be willing to sign to have this product taken off the shelves forever. I've been using JFM beard dye off and on for 7 - 8 years with no ill effects. That past year in using it I began to get minor irritation on my face and sideburns area. I worked to combat this by using allergy medication. It helped a little but it was only a little minor irritation. Recently I used it and the effects were so bad that I had rash reactions breaking out on OTHER parts of my body that the dye never touched. Weeping and puss were on my face for 4-5 days afterwards, scabs, awful redness and swelling much worse than anything I've ever experienced. The formula has certainly been changed and I have no idea why. It did the job before and now it's just dangerous to use and causes awful pain and irritation. I say pull it off the shelves. It's unsafe for human usage.

I used JFM on my beard and the worst allergic reaction happened to me. Itchy and burning was all I felt. The next day, my skin was covered on some yellowish/greenish puss coming out of my irritated skin, was so swollen. Took Benadryl and Motrin but nothing helped. We should all sue JFM!!

I used JFM and the same thing with everybody else - blisters, itching all over my body. I have a rash on my chest. My gentle part is itching. I notice the color in the tube of the jet black was brown and when I applied it, my beard was brown then turn black but all the other ones I used in the past was always black. My husband woke me up at 1 am last night with severe pain on his face. He used Just for Men on Friday night and all day Saturday and yesterday he began getting water blisters on his upper lip and chin. His lip and chin are now extremely swollen and the blisters keep multiplying. This product should not be sold if this is the type of reaction people are getting. He now has to go to the dr to find out how to stop the pain and hopefully stop the burning!!

After over 2 years of using Just For Men with no issues, within the last 3 months, I started getting itching to the point of clear light fluid coming from scratched areas, and scabbing developing. The itching would start the next day after using the beard mix, and continue with itching until the coloring would fade and require a reapplication. Eventually, after researching whether it was my own body developing something strange, I started researching Just For Men and saw the many complaints all centering on the same issues.

I wanted to grow a beard so I researched to find how I could easily get the grey out of my mustache and beard. It was between Henna and Just For Men (JFM). After deciding to use JFM, thought I found the next best thing for us men to go through the unavoidable process of getting older, but having the appearance of looking younger. I began using JFM over two months ago and up to now, I had no reactions or problems. I received a lot of compliments from a lot of people who know me, family, friends, and colleagues. Unfortunately, after experiencing burning, relentless itching, then scabbing, it now appears that the honeymoon is over. Not sure what happened all of a sudden.

My husband has been using JFM for over 6 years with no issues. In 2012 he used JFM and had a burning/itching feeling on his chin. A small blister had formed and progressively gotten larger until it bursts (I do have pics but will spare everyone). This has never happened before as I was a faithful user but have not picked it up since. If there is a class action suit, please count me in. I feel betrayed by this company for not letting its consumers know they changed a formula. The "scientist" that came up with this had to know it would cause some sort of reaction.

I have been using this product for at least 7 years and never had a problem. But over the last 3 weeks I have notice that my face have been burning and itching so bad that it would wake me up at night. So I tried a little spot on my chin and it burnt the hell out of me to the point where my chin is now peeling. I will never go back. I'm looking for a replacement now.

I have been using JFM for the last 5 years without any problem until about 7 months ago. I started to notice severe itching and some burning sensation with tiny blisters with clear fluid oozing out immediately after application. And the dye is not as good as it used to be. I thought it was just me who is experiencing the symptoms. It transpires JFM has changed its formula which is causing the problem. I can't afford to leave the grey and even tried to sport a clean face which does not suit me. Any other alternative dye anyone could suggest?

OK. Some will not believe this and, at this point, I'm not sure I do. I have also experienced the itching and discomfort. However, that is not what brought me to Google search and end up on this site. I used JFM for quite a long time - 6 or 7 years at least. For the last 2 years, I have struggled with a bowel problem - like irritable bowel syndrome. I've suspected a celiac disease (allergy to wheat gluten) and went on a gluten free diet 15 months ago. I've been improving but not cured. I keep having setbacks (flare-ups) and just recently figured out they occur right after using JFM on my beard and sideburns. (About every 3 weeks.) While I'm not certain this is the cause the timing of the flare-ups is now undeniable, I intend to get some allergy testing to see if this could be it. Will gladly go gray to eliminate the IBS.

Started using JFM about 6 weeks ago (Dark Brown). Got to bottom of dark tube which was darker tan I was used to and applied. However I didn't have enough so purchased med. dark brown. Had reaction within 6 hours. Not sure which caused the reaction or if my skin could no longer tolerate (after 6 weeks?). Directions say to test for 48 hours. But what gives when you use it for 6 weeks and then it starts? I can't sleep at night because of itching. This product needs to be taken off the market.

I was using Just For Men on my side burns where gray was showing. Soon after, I have red burn marks down the side of my neck and behind my ears. This happened within the first couple times I have used the product and did not relate it at first. I stopped using and the redness seems to be getting a little better. If this is affecting my outside, what is it doing internally? This is a dangerous product.

I applied JFM as directed. After a few minutes my face started to burn and I rinsed it off. It got very itchy, and blisters developed. I can now see weeping blisters under my beard and mustache. It feels horrible and looks terrible. I don't know what to do to treat the blisters. Don't use this product!!!!

Been a customer using Just For Men beard dye for years without problem. Until recently, I dyed my beard to wake up to a very painful burning reaction. Until this day I am having severe face blisters and scabbing under my mustache and beard. The blisters ooze a clear liquid drying into painful scabs. I have even lost hair on my chin due to the scabbing. In addition, my skin on my ears have dried out extremely as well. I've had many sleepless nights due to the pain on my chin. Please get the formula back to normal for your faithful, loyal customers as we deserve better!

I had used Just For Men 3 times previously with excellent results. On the last 2 occasions, I experienced severe itching and rash of the scalp and surrounding areas. The last time I was actually using ice on my head to try and stop the pain.

Oh please some got to sue JFM. My beard is full of blisters and some slimy stuff coming out. Wtf DID they do to me?? Been using it for 2 yrs, never had a problem before. Boy this is bs. Used for 2 or 3 years with no problem until recently. Then started burning and itching. Had scabs under my mustache. Had flaking skin under my beard. It was constantly red and inflamed. Do not use as something changed in this product.

I've been using Just For Men (Jet Black) for a few years and I never experienced any type of allergic or harsh side effects. Lately, within the past 6 months, I started getting an itching sensation in my beard after each application that seemed to last until the color/dye had faded. I also started noticing blisters appearing as well. I also noticed that the color does not last as long as it used to. The company has obviously altered its formula without letting the public know. I find solace in knowing that I wasn't the only one experiencing these problems. If there is a possibility if a lawsuit, please let me know.

I used JFM for years with no problems. Unlike many here, I noticed issues with it longer ago, back in early 2013. The burning and itching started the next day and the oozing and blisters shortly after that. It lasted for about a week, until enough beard grew out to get the product away from my skin. I've used it a few times since then with the same results. If there is a class action, count me in. I miss the old formulation. Please bring it back. I'll pay the difference in cost, if that's the problem. Market it as a sensitive skin formulation and I'll pay extra to avoid this pain.

Just For Men Mustache and Beard Real Black M55 - I have been using this for the last 6 years, did not have any issues except when I bought one box a week ago, when I applied as per instructions I felt burning sensation and after a few hours later developed runny sores and blisters. Will never use this product. In my opinion definitely the formula has been changed which is causing this issue. I hope the company provides an explanation.

I've used JFM a couple of times in the past. When using it I've always had a little burning if I leave it on more than 3 mins but just the little burning feeling nothing severe. I used it the other day; this time there was no burning. Took my shower, got it all out of my beard. It look nice and dark. I went to bed, woke up and "lord have mercy", around my lips and chin were swollen, blister started forming and started leaking this clear stuff. I would suggest NO ONE purchase this.

I use Just For Men on my mustache, sideburns and beard for about 12 years. 2013, I can't remember the month when I use JFM, it started to burn on my sideburns at first. Then it started itching and I start getting rashes and sores. It got so bad I had to cut my sideburns off. I still got white spots on the side of my face to this day but after all that, I still was using it on my mustache and beard until I started getting rashes and sores that swallowed up my chin and I start getting white spots around my mustache and beard. So I stopped using it and will never use it again. Wish there was a way that I could sue them for my suffering and pain.

I've been using it for a while. Never had problem. About three weeks ago right after I used it, I had minor itching. Next day I woke up with a half inch scar in my mustache that I still have :(..

I used the two-part shampoo type hair color late yesterday afternoon and woke up last night with what appears to be chemical burns on my face. Very painful and swollen. I used the JFM product on my hair and beard and the effect on my scalp is nowhere near as severe. This is ridiculous! This product should not be on the market.

I've been using JFM for a number of years. This last time, with my most recent purchase of the product 03/2014, I noticed a difference in the makeup and consistency of the two solutions that mix together as the color is prepared for application. A day after applying the hair color, I am experiencing blisters, that are persistent and do not go away, on my forward scalp. I've had them for 2 days now and the condition is not getting better at all. I thought I had poison Ivy or similar. So I can tell you, something is drastically different in the chemical make-up of the product.

I've used this product about 5 times starting back in Jan. and after every application, my face would get very itchy, swollen, and red underneath my beard. A couple of times I even got blisters. It usually happened within 6 hours of application. At first, I thought it was because I wasn't getting out all the dye. Then I thought it was my shampoo or conditioner. I then realized it was definitely the dye. Today was my final use and sure enough it happens again. I wish I would have seen these reviews before use. I will not be using it again. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

On 3/14/14 I used this product and immediately washed it out because of the color. The next day I experienced: Severe Itching, facial swelling and redness of the skin which I have documented by photos. Today is 3/19/14 and am taking Benadryl and covering my face with a cold wash cloth to ease the itching. This product should not be on the market!!! After one week it is not getting any better.

As I prepared to apply JFM this morning, I looked at the label and wondered about all the ingredients that I could not pronounce. I did a Google search and found this website. As with several of the other entries, I have noticed a very loud ringing in my ears since I began using this product (and even now as I write this). I have not experienced any burning or blistering so far, but will stop using this product immediately, and will recommend that my friends do the same. Seems like they should test these products before using the public as guinea pigs. Can you spell class action lawsuit?

My husband has been using just for men for a few years but started having skin problems and on continued use ended up with a bad case of dermatitis that has spread. He has had itchy skin, red scaly patches that leak serous fluid and spots. I recently cut his hair as he is growing out the dye. I have to say that his grey hair that is coming out is so much softer, curlier and sexier! Men should not dye their hair, look sexy instead!

Used the product with success for a few months only to find now my skin is itching like crazy. I have red patchy bumps below my beard. I just put some Head and Shoulders Dandruff shampoo on my face and after about 15 mins. the itching has subsided. Hope they correct this problem.

I have been using JFM dark brown for beards and mustaches for 6 years now with usage averaging around twice a week. It's been a good product with no side effects for me until recently when I started getting itching and a rash after each use. Just did a Google search and found all these other instances of same. I must assume they have recently changed their formula and this is the result of that change. For treatment right after application I did rinse it out thoroughly and use conditioner to neutralize the acid. Then I applied Neosporin cream as an antibiotic and it also has an analgesic. This combination works well if you apply the cream several times a day until symptoms or cleared up. Perhaps there is some sort of class action we can get started that will encourage the manufacturer to go back to the older formula. In the meantime I've got to find another product to take its place.

I have use Just For Men mustache and beard with no problems. On March 7th, 2014, I use the product, woke up doing tonight scratching like crazy - my face was swollen. I'll call the CDC. They told me to put cold water ice on my face, and if I had any diff discomfort to go to my local pharmacy or to my doctor.

Same as the others but the itching and burning will not stop a week after one use. They do not answer my request for treatment. What a terrible company.

I used this product and developed a rash on eyelids. I had no idea that this product had chemicals in it that could cause something like this.

Used the product for four years, both the hair and beard color. I was very satisfied with the results. Received many compliments. I looked younger and felt better about myself. BUT... THEN... Just like everyone else here, in recent months ... I seem to have permanent chap lips, white crusty skin under my beard. Clear discharge if I rub too much, and rub I must because it itches like crazy. I've also noticed with the hair product I get crusty skin and clear discharge behind my ears, plus scalp itch, which was always a minor issue, has become more so. I suspect as others here that they must have changed the formulation in the past year. It's really a shame as I'm going back to being a gray head again ...

I've used Just for Men Beard Dye for several years with good success and no reaction. In December of 2013 after using the product I developed an oozing sore over my lip and in the corner of my mouth. After a couple weeks of the same symptoms, I went to my dermatologist who couldn't identify what the cause of the sore was. It was not herpetic. She prescribed an anti-biotic and topical steroid, which has helped. Not sure if Just for Men was the cause of my rash but seeing others posts on here makes me suspect.

I haven't heard of this happening to other people to my knowledge but here is what happened to me. I used the dark brown beard dye on my chest several times over the course of say 5 years. The last 2 years I had complications but didn't connect the dots until the third time it happened. Sure I got a rash but it went away but 10 hours later I would get ringing in my right ear then it would clog so I couldn't hear and I got vertigo. The first time I woke up and I couldn't lift my head, I thought I was dying. I eventually was able to lift my head with my hands and stand up to stabilize myself. Crazy, I went to Kaiser, they gave me a hearing test and I had lost hearing. This happened two more times then I realized it was from the beard dye. I can't hear certain pitches, concerts can be painful, etc... I looked at the packaging and the dye was made in Mexico. I think I am severely allergic to some chemical.

I have been a loyal customer for Just for Men for over 4 years now. I have used their Beard and mustache dye twice a week for nearly 4 years with no problems until recently. I noticed in December that whenever I dyed my beard it would itch like crazy the next day. At first I thought nothing of it. Then I start to get pimples and crusty forming things in my beard hairline and under my chin. A couple of the sores are weeping. I stopped using dyes on my beard for a while about a month which for me was a long time. I had a wedding to go to on the 22nd of February so on the 21st of February I had to dye my beard (I was just way too grey to go to the wedding like that). I am now scratching like crazy, my hairline has again become irritated by these crusty pimple like things and my beard is itchy like crazy. I can't believe this company would just go and change their formula without letting their customer base know. If there is a class action suit I am very interested in joining. This company deserves to pay for all the physical, emotional, and financial pain they have caused their customer base.

I have used JFM since July 2012 with no problems. On January 24 , 2014 I used the jet black beard color on my goatee. It begin to burn so I thought maybe I had it on 3 minutes not much more, so I rinsed it off with shampoo. 3 times. The pain went away. I went to work and bought an Amp energy drink and drink it. It was only 5 hours after the application my chin was very large & rectangular shaped, swollen and sweating clear fluids that dry up as it leaks like sperm stains. I then became irritated and very itchy. I stop by the store on my way home, chin dripping like a sprinkler on low. I bought some whole milk and when I got home put it in a little bowl large enough for me to submerge my chin in. This greatly eased the itching. I guess the milk neutralized the effects of the lye or whatever is in the formula. I am still leaking badly. I then added some hydrogen peroxide in the milk and soaked my chin for about an hour total. Did this to try and deter any further infection. I am not experiencing much itching and discomfort 16 hours later, but still am swollen. I am not swollen as badly but still swollen beyond public open appearance. If the milk and peroxide works better than the luck our fellow brothers of this experience have had, I will post it as a relief completely!

I found this site a few months back when I was wondering what could cause my weeping, pussing open sores. Like everyone else, I used both JFM hair as well as beard dye for the previous 3 or 4 years with no issues. I purchased a new box of each just prior to Christmas, and started with my goatee and side burns. What I experienced next was similar to most everyone else, an indescribable itch and burn. I have never had an itch so bad; the actual act of scratching (even though I was ripping my face open) was almost orgasmic. It was awful.

I've been a loyal customer towards Just For Men beard and mustache product for over 3 years. On Friday, Feb 14 Valentine's Day, I had a party to attend. I use the product Just For Men like always to cover up my gray hairs. Sat., I had some itching and by Sunday some irritation. I took Monday off from work to see my PCP. He recommend me to see a dermatologist. Today Feb 20th is my second day off from work Due to my pain and discomfort. My occupation is a Concierge in a condo. Dr. gave me a ointment Fluocinonide 0.05% 60grams. I thought it would relief some pain. But it didn't. Another day off from work due to this horrible burning, itchy pain in caused by Just For Men. Hopping w/ itching a week or so this nightmare could go away. I have sympathy for all those going thru what I'm going thru. Due to Just For Men.
