I bought 3 iPhone 7 but one of them started to experience sound issues. As a result, I cannot make and receive phone calls. I spent 1 hour on the phone with their technical support to be told I had to make an appointment at the Genius Bar. The technician tested the phone multiple times and confirmed there is a hardware issue. I was told by the manager and the technician that there’s nothing they can do for me since the phone is not under warranty. They wanted me to pay more than 350 in order to repair it. I was very very disappointed with Apple. I paid $799 for a phone that lasted 36 months. As customer, we are paying for Apple poor quality products. That’s dishonest and unreliable from Apple. They should place label buy at your own risk on iPhone.

I got iPhone 5S gift from my brother. Very happy to receive such a expensive. All said wow to the phone. The phone was user friendly. It was very useful phone. Unfortunately it fell from my hand. Glass was broken. My mistake. But there was no service center in my city. Changed the glass since I had no other option from a iPhone store. Such a expensive phone but no service center nearby. I recommend you should have a guide in your site. Once something happen to the phone it's waste of money and no resale value. As well as no support from any of the site to register a complaint. All duplicate glass fit by a iPhone store didn't work for too long. Again gave back to the same store but it will be waste of money. Already spend on glass and connector. Now asking for the body to be changed. It's better to buy Samsung Edge or S9.

I took my daughter iPhone 6 plus to Fashion Valley Apple Store and after running diagnostic check all test was 100% except battery showed 88%. The technician told that, "You are under warranty and we could replace with new battery." I agreed as it was expiring warranty within two days. But when I came after 2 hrs to take the phone they gave me dead phone. My daughter started crying as she kept the phone so nicely in life proof case spending additional $127 for the iPhone.
They bought 3 refurbished phone and all had scratched as service replacement. I told, "I am not taking any scratched devices" and I spoke to manager TIM who was very arrogant in doing or taking further action. Also sitting there I called customer service but they are HORRIBLE. I am sitting with dead phone now. Learnt lesson of their inexperience and no expertise. NEVER WILL BUY such device only on the look of IPHONE or LAPTOP but will go with value of my money and good customer service.

So I bought an iPhone 8 Plus less than a year ago and I’m already experiencing hardware problems. I send the phone in for repair (still under warranty) and they told me I can’t have my phone repaired because of a tiny scratch on the screen. They want me to pay 169 USD to fix them again, tiny scratch on the screen before they fix the covered hardware problem. Worst customer service I have ever experienced, and as a company they should fail. They have no regard for their loyal customers and expect us to pay 1000+ a year for faulty devices. Never buying an Apple product again.

Many of the stocks I buy and sell have no news updates in 12.0 version upgrade and it does not show any older news articles as well. Their Apple stock news system is costing me money. These stocks go up and down at times based on news that pops!!! I ask others please send your thoughts to Apple asking for them to fix this if you’re like me. First time I ever considered buying a phone other than Apple!!! The older operating system used Business wire, the new system uses Apple News – needs to be renamed NO NEWS!!! This is horrible!!! Please please please fix this!!!

Very disappointed after an iPhone 7 which worked just fine up until the very day we activated a new iPhone 10 for the same line wouldn’t turn on. I call Apple support who directs me to visit a local store, the representative at the store plugs the phone in to his MacBook and runs a diagnostic check only to tell me the result is a malfunction that caused the iPhone to never be able to turn on again and recommended that I purchase another refurbished phone for $391. When I asked to see the report he advised me Apple's policy doesn’t release that information.
We upgraded our phone because it was time through our cellular carrier and we received a good deal on the iPhone X, not because the phone didn’t work... It’s a pretty big coincidence the very day we activated the iPhone X that the iPhone 7 completely shut down when there was no prior problems. Apple, I like the design of your phones but you need to learn how to show customer appreciation since we are the reason you’re in business because if you keep up these kinds of tactics, it won’t matter how much people like the product, they eventually will turn away from the brand.

My daughter's iPhone 7 Plus started experiencing issues with the sound which impacted her ability to make and receive phone calls. I spent 3 hours on the phone with their technical support to be told I had to make an appointment at the Genius Bar. The 'experts' tested the phone multiple times and confirmed there is a hardware issue. The manager and staff at Genius Bar said unless you have Apple Care the hardware is not guaranteed after 12 months. They wanted $149 to get a replacement refurbished phone. I paid $799 for this phone and was disappointed with the quality but at every turn they want the customers to pay for the poor quality of production. What a joke. Apple was built on the foundation of quality, reliability but this reputation has gone to the grave with Steve Jobs.

As much as these new iPhones are costing, the amount of "bugs" and technology issues is insane. The phone constantly freezes, sometimes shuts off and the battery does not hold its charge well during the day. Extremely upset and disappointed that Apple is not taking any responsibilities for this issue and have only offered to possibly repair instead of replace. I have been an Apple user for many years, almost 11+ and I am thinking about purchasing an Android.

The week I finish paying off my iPhone 7 for 24 months. The phone stops getting service and will only work when connected to wifi. I do some research and find online that it was a recall with my specific model number. I contact Apple and they tell me if I need to send it in for repair and it will be covered under the recall program. 10 days after mailing it in I get an email saying the device will not be covered and it will cost me $325 to have repaired. I contact Apple and they tell me it's the repair people that have final say on whether it is covered or not and they have decided that my iPhone will not be covered.
This was Apple's last chance for me. I've been through multiple phones that all seem to start having problems once new models come out. I currently have my sim card and a 6s model while I wait for the return of my unrepaired iPhone 7. My 6s dies at 90% battery life and I was told this also wouldn't be covered by Apple a few years ago when I bought the 7. This company has done nothing but disappoint time after time. Now I see the problems they are having with their new flagship phone and I am happy to say my final goodbyes to Apple.

I paid for an iPhone XS online with store pickup, but my phone was not available when I went to the Apple store so I canceled the order and planned on getting it in a store at a later time. Order was canceled over the phone (around 1-hour call), and was promised a confirmation e-mail. The e-mail never came, and the money hasn't been returned. Now on my second hour of holding with Apple service to get this refund. Service is just incredibly slow and everything needs to be done twice. Very frustrating.

iPhone X has problem from day 11 after purchased it from Apple Online Store. I have made over 20 phone calls and talked with over 6 different "senior advisor", I have replaced the phone 4 times and had it repaired once, I am still have the same problem. I have expend over 40 hrs on the phone with CR and customer care, no luck, and they do not want to take responsibility for the faulty product. Latest news from advisor is that Apple plans to issue a recall on iPhone X because of the touchscreen problems. Is a known problem with the phone but they do not know when the recall will take effect. In the meantime, my phone is not responsive and hard to use it. Paid $1448.00 for nothing. Getting the money back? Good luck with that as well. Worst company, stay away from this company, they are thieves.

My iPhone X, which I bought in May 2018 had a issue of shutting down all of a sudden and will not turn back on regardless what I do (tried all ways to reset and restore the phone). First time I had a issue, it was fixed by the Rogers Business Analyst from whom I got my plans and phones. He said there was a software glitch, which is resolved now, it needed an update... Fine, it worked for almost three months.
Again on Sept 17 2018, my iPhone X dies all of a sudden @ 12:30 pm. I called the Apple customer support and got scheduled for Apple Store @ Yorkdale Mall, Toronto location. I Went there and they couldn't fix the problem (saying that the motherboard is faulty); they gave me a replacement piece (mostly a refurbished one) because my phone was under warranty. I had following question to them: Q1: Why don't I get a brand new phone when it is under manufacturing warranty, and it's a motherboard issue?? Q2: Am I getting one full year warranty on this device that I am getting? Q3: Since this device is a replacement device, can I buy AppleCare Plus on this device? The store couldn't help me much on this, they ask me call the customer support over the phone.
I called them next day, and asked same questions. My call was escalated to the Manager (customer service) level. And, their answers to these Qs were as follow: A1: "Apple always give replacement device, not a brand new device. This is our policy, no one beyond me (Manager) can help you." My expectation: When I bought a brand new phone with a full price and if that phone has manufacturing issues then I should be given a new iPhone X which I wasn't. A2: "Warranty of your old phone gets transferred to this phone and you don't get one year full warranty for this replacement device even though we are giving you this device today." My Expectation: Warranty is always on the product not on account. So, ideally when I am receiving a replacement device from manufacture, I should be given a full year of warranty on that device.
A3: I couldn't buy AppleCare Plus because I didn't buy it when I purchased my phone in May 2018. My Expectation: When Apple is offering me a replacement piece, which according to them, is a new phone and never used by anyone; they should not have any issue in offering me AppleCare Plus product. And, if they do that they don't have confidence in their own product. During all these; I felt like I have been cheated and scammed by Apple Inc. Will not buy Apple product anymore. This is 100% true experience. Anybody having any more questions, write me an email and I will let you know... Thanks.

Purchased an iPhone X on November 3, 2017 because of Apple's advertisement stating that the phone is water resistant when it is not. Phone got slightly wet. I turned it off and it never turned back on. Apple told me I would need to purchase another phone from them because the phone had experienced water damage. I understand that Apple distinguishes between water resistant and water damage. However, this phone has only experienced slight water and according to the claims made by Apple the phone should of been fine if it was truly water resistant. I believe that my phone had faulty rubber sealing because I had purchased the phone the day it was released. Apple's claims of water resistant phone that it markets to consumers is highly deceptive.

Very Very disappointing!!! I have been using Apple products over 5 years and I was optimistic about this company. Of course until I terribly disappointed. Recently I face a problem on my iPhone (Freeze out and stuck forever with "Apple logo on" in a black screen). I have contacted customer support twice. They both recommend me to get service at CityMac Kirkland. I went there (long drive from my home). The serviceman saw and confirmed as my iPhone has nothing physical damage he plugged in his computer and tried to figure out the problem for about 2 minutes or less, he told me to pay $325 for fixing my issue. No other solution as per his saying, I have bought the iPhone ~$700 and I lost all, no fixing. No nothing. I recognized that this company would be no more my choice. I am selling all my Apple products including my Mac, I don't want to see even remember a while about Apple products.

Do not waste your hard earned money on Apple iPhone. Purchased 6s brand new just a 1 1/2 from Apple. I truly believe a bug is in the software to reduce battery life to make you upsell to newer model. I also think they are in cahoots with Rogers. I believe Rogers is sending bug to increase data usage that is unjustified. I have carried a cell phone over 10 years & use it exactly the same, but amazingly it is now over data within 2 weeks & nobody oversees the corruption.

I used to like Apple. I received an iPhone Six for my 11th birthday and I was excited as this was my first phone. My phone worked fine originally and was decently priced, then things started going wrong. WIFI problems - my phone would disconnect from the wifi occasionally and I would have to reconnect if I realized, I wasted mobile data because of this stupidity. I also had trouble connecting to other wifi and other wifi would take forever to show.
Battery problems - the battery ran out quickly. My parents knew this and told me that the battery ran out quickly and this was the reason my grandma wouldn't upgrade her phone from a five to a six. Slow loading - nothing else to explain. My phone stopped working one day and turned out I needed to update. I know all about slowing down the phone... Apple scams. My sister's iPad keeps on telling her to sign into her iCloud account, obsessively. I have a Google pixel now and I'm way happier.

My Apple iPhone 7 recently stopped being able to both send nor receive calls. The technician at the Genius Bar at Apple store admitted this was a known issue for some Apple iPhones 7s. They went further to say the only fix they have is to purchase a new phone for a reduced rate of $319.00 (plus taxes). Basically trading my "old" one in. When I asked why they would not just fix this known issue or recall it, she said initially that was the program, but it was discontinued. I bought this phone last June, a few months outside of the 1-year warranty.
Despite taking meticulous care, using an Otter Box to protect my phone it has this issue. I basically have a texting only device now. Further, there were memos leaked where Apple admitted to this known issue. I am extremely frustrated and do not want to be forced to purchase a new device especially after the one I have is not working and the Apple company doesn't stand by their products when they are defective. A shame.

I'm extremely careful with my iPhones and have never had any issues with breakage or damage. I received the 8Plus as a Christmas gift along with a traveler Otter case, where the button is exposed. Everything worked fine until the end of May when I took it out of my purse and proceeded to take a photo to forward to a friend. NO problems! Then I pressed the button to take another photo and the phone froze! That was it. I could not turn it off or get the home screen, only the apple sign. I went on-line and tried all the tricks to re-boot the home page but nothing. I did get it to shut off and reboot, but it only went back to the apple insignia. When my husband came home and took a look, he noticed a small little indent, like a pen might make, on the edge of the button's circumference. It was barely visible.
Could a pen in my purse have leaned against the button? Those were the only 2 items in my purse's phone compartment. And how could a pen do such damage with no force? It was in my purse and there was no impact. I'm flabbergasted at the delicate and vulnerable nature of this button. We do not have insurance and I was told the motherboard is connected to the button, so the "damaged" button is causing a software problem and will not be covered under the 1st year warranty because I damaged it?
I also discovered that the Otter Defender cover for 7/8plus has a button cover and you can still use the button. It is $60. Once you cover the button (Or use tape!) you can go to settings and set a virtual button that floats around your screen. Why not have this in the first place? There seems to be many others who are also having issues with the 7/8's button. Perhaps a class-action suit should be filed to force Apple to fix the defective part for free. It's like having a car bumper that crumples at the slightest impact. Not practical, or acceptable, for a trillion dollar company.

It's my opinion that Apple Inc. puts its updates out to improve its newest products glitches, while knowing it will cause multiple problems with its older models that are advised/forced to do the updates as well. I have been forced into buying new phones every couple years because as soon as I update any of my 5 phones there are instant problems, some rendered inoperative, and some that just piss you off so much by not working correctly that you can't stand it anymore!!! I despise a company that purposely causes damage to its older products forcing people to "upgrade" just so they can make the almighty buck! I personally will never own another Apple product again.

I purchase my iPhone 8 on Mother's day through AT&T plan. I also brought the battery case. My phone was dying a lot at new purchase time and completely power down and coming on without me resetting. Frequent turning off and just dropping had no cellular data on even in Wi Fi area and weird scratch noise occasionally with low volume and folks not hearing me. I went back to store. They advise to remove battery case. It cleared up dying so much but other issue still remain but was less frequent. Only happened once in a while. My phone would get hot frequently over the last few weeks and issue arose again with battery dying not holding charge and power off and come back on as if nothing happen at full power of charge.
Went back to store. They tried to assured nothing was wrong and volume was working at store. Please keep in mind that lost charge and battery power down was random and not constant. The noise and volume speaking scratching noise was random as well. So I stop going to store and started calling. Each call two or one hour long. They walk you through all those reset and BS for issues to still be there but temporary work. Apple and AT&T has lots of notes on my account from these complaints. They basically stated was small glitches and if persist they could do a warrant exchange only.
On July 9, 2018 I had had enough of paying for useless phone that died and came on as if nothing was wrong and not being able to hear and weirdness. I called. Was in process to set up for my phone to be exchange. It died five time in a two hour session while on phone with them. The rep called me back several time and on recorded line stated she heard noise and could not hear me to use another phone.
The call dropped, I allowed the phone to charge and went to work. Once done at work powered phone on. Heard loud scratch noise and pop. I was scared I actually fell hard. I was scared. Thought phone exploded. I hurt myself bad and glass from phone was in my hand. My phone was literally stuck to my to the palm of my hand. I went to ER and need stitches but had clue to my right arm elbow right hand and wrist and left hand glass the disengage phone from skin. I had cuts in hands, both knees and leg was scratched and bruised bad.
The phone was not operable. Also I place a incident report with Apple as AT&T. Said I am ineligible for insurance replacement because phone has noted on my account warranty issues. Apple told me to send picture doctor's note so they could send to engineer and give me options. After being without a phone for three day injured missing work they said they can't help me because phone has physical damage and they are not paying for repair nor new phone nor medical because pop did not cause physical damage to my phone. My fall cause physical damage... HURT and Disappointed with Apple...
Do anyone have a clue or attorney to help me on malfunction brand new phone that I am still pay $1000.00 through AT&T plan for. I have no phone injured by scare from malfunctioning phone. Apple saying battery issue and noise and pooping scratch noise not their fault because I fell on phone? How can that be right fair or kind to a faithful customer who only asked to take phone. I am a single mom who works 2 jobs, $200 is a lot but seeing him like it was the best thing I ever given to him. My son was a victim of bullying, he is small for his age, I love him so dearly and I am very protective of him. Almost 3 wks now we switch carrier because of poor signal, when we went to the carrier to activate the sim card, they saw my son iPhone got a damage, swelling battery. I called Apple and they sent me a box to send it back to them to do repair.
After few days said I will get it back 1-2 business days. We did not get it, my son has a summer camp before that and expecting the phone to bring it with him, he left without the phone, now I am travelling 2 1/2 hrs every other day just to make sure he is alright. It cost me too much just to travel and see him, not just that, the stress that I'm travelling back and forth, the exhaustion. Besides the fact that I paid the bill just few days ago without the phone being used.
The problem is, the FedEx lost it, trying to contact them everyday and the Apple for whole 2 wks now, demanding immediate response and send the phone back to me. They said they have the process and trying to investigate before I could get the phone back. It's not fair, I'm not even part of it but I have to sacrifice effort and financial because of that. Apple is just too stubborn to send one, I am tired of waiting, I need a phone to communicate with my son. Thank you.

I am very frustrated with Apple. I initially had a problem with my iPhone 7 making and receiving calls however everything else worked as normal texts, internet, apps. I took it to my cell phone provider. They looked up my serial number and said that my phone was on recall and to take it to Apple and they would replace it. I absolutely loathe going to Apple for anything because of how busy it is all the time. Even tho I hate Apple stores I still have been team iPhone since they came out. I also own all Apple computers. Have had several generation iPads, iPods and Apple watches, but after this experience I may be saying goodbye to Apple. After I waited for three hours they told me that they had to send my phone out to be fixed and therefore I was left without a phone for a week.
I tracked it every day and when it said it had arrived at the Apple Store I called and they told me it wasn't there even tho track my package clearly said it was delivered. They gave me the runaround for two days until I finally got someone that told me I was able to come in. I waited two hours this time they handed me my phone and told me to have a nice day. While I was walking out powering my phone on and it wouldn't turn on. I plugged it into a charger. They had and a picture came up that said iTunes and a picture of a charger with an arrow.
I flagged the person down and showed them. Then they told me that Apple wasn't fixing my phone because it seems that my screen has been replaced which It was a whole year prior and the issues I was having were due to the recall. So not only did Apple not bother to tell me they were using the screen being replaced as an excuse not to fix my recalled item, leaving me without a phone for a week, waste hours of my time, but they gave me the phone back completely broken. I may not have been able to make calls but my son could have surely used it on wifi to play games surf the internet and iMessage. Apple should be ashamed of themselves. I have spent so much money with them way more than I could really afford so for them to give me my equipment back in worse condition than I gave it to them is wrong.

They declined to give me loaner phone while my iPhone will get replaced (expected time 2-week including shipping). 2nd they asked me to phone for shipping charge. 3rd their local service Center asking me to bring the phone first then they will review and place order for battery. I asked who will pay for twice driving 100 miles. They stated they practice this way. So just for battery replacement, I've to drive twice. This was affiliated service center.
4th I drove to Apple Service center at Des Moines. First they took my iPhone to clean the charging jack and then came back with an giant excuse. My phone is little curved...so it doesn't qualify for $29 battery change. They can do for $295. I asked them...how is my iPhone got curved? They said they don't know. I don't know if iPhone is curved or they curved it to force me to buy next iPhone.
It seems to me they are practicing this way to enforce customer to invest in next iPhone. My cell was never serviced. I questioned if curved phone was sold to me... Their excused it's over a year and since I never reported so it's not covered. This seems these tech has been asked to force customer indirectly either pay more for battery change or get into new iPhone. This is totally a crime.

I then called Sprint and said I pay 17$ a month for insurance am I covered for a replacement? Even after getting a case number I called APPLE Ridge Hill back before they closed a 9 pm just for them to tell me again I AM NOT COVERED AND THE CASE NUMBER IS INVALID. I just got fed up after being on the phone with Rotten Apple from 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm a entire work shift which they are not paying me for, I went on Apple Support, made a claim for a phone repair and boom! Best Buy in my hometown was another option to get the back screen replaced per Apple so I will be getting my phone fix by Best Buy and not Apple because Apple Ridge Hill said I am not covered. Lol. However the Apple website says I am haaaaaa! Right and my only deductible will be 100.00 not 300 and out of warranty ** baby store they tried to make me believe.
As you can clearly see Ridge Hill Store tried to make an extra 200$ side cash off of me and when I call there today and spoke with the store manager he still had no remorse or even offered an apology to me after tell a 10 year + customer to wait until 6/27/18 oh and pay 300 to fix your phone you are out of warranty when I wasn't! That's a scam in itself and he just sat on the other end of the phone with an attitude as if he was the one lied to.
I then told him he and the whole staff at Apple Ridge Hill should be fired and the roach really said stop making threats. Haaa yes he did. I then said what cop can you go to in America and tell them a customer called the store and said you should get fired is considered against the law? Haaa told you they are low income, peasant ** babies. I then said I will come by after work in my Mercedes just to show you I am not some type bum your store is portraying me to be. He then again said that is a threat. Haaa it's a threat to say I will come by in a Mercedes to show you I am not a peasant.
Dont trust Apple Ridge Hill and never buy any Apple products because even if you are covered under warranty the whole entire store and Apple Care customer service will force you to pay full price for repairs that are suppose to be free and really cheap! They are disgusting and again the entire store should be fired, no one apologized for telling me for 9 hours that I was not covered and had to pay 300$ when I was covered and only needed to pay 100.00. Screw Apple. I even threw away my Mac notebook and iPad due to this situation!

My iPhone 7, well under a year old, will not connect to any cell phone network. I have Verizon service. I took it in to the Verizon store where I purchased it and they put me in touch with an Apple rep who explained that I had a recalled phone and that I would need to return it to an Apple store for repair. It had not been working for about a week. As anyone will understand, this is a problem. The nearest Apple store is 177 miles from my residence, a 354 mile round trip. It will take a minimum of 5 days to repair and they will give me a “loaner” and I must return that and pick up my phone in person... Over 700 miles of travel for an issue of their making that is now my responsibility. Seriously? Yes. I later spoke with a senior customer service person named Keith who suggested I mail the phone to be repaired, with an unknown turnaround time and no loaner.
Obviously, none of this is acceptable. Apple has no interest whatsoever in taking care of a recall in a way that is convenient for the customer. Exactly the opposite; it is at their convenience. A cold, arrogant approach to “customer service.” I am still without a working phone and am at a loss as to how to proceed without spending hours on the road to an Apple store or a Best Buy with sketchy chances of proper repair without cost to me. Others have been charged hundreds of dollars for claimed nonexistent third-party modifications that voided the warranty. (Please research the recall experiences of others). This is, obviously, a maddening situation. Apple made no effort to advise iPhone 7 owners of this recall are making their mistake the responsibility of their customers. Shameful. My last Apple product.

Like many iPhone 6's, my battery started to struggled. After waiting 4 weeks for a replacement battery to arrive, I dropped my phone off at Apple to replace it. Later when I went back to pick it up, they told me that they could not fix it because when they opened the phone, they claimed that a 3rd party had made some modification or it was a phone not purchased through Apple. And so therefore they will not touch it in any way. The thing is, I purchased the phone at an Apple store and I have never had it serviced anywhere ever. So they refuse to even attempt a fix, and customer service will not do anything for me. Not a replacement (I would be fine with another 6) or any kind of voucher toward a new phone. They basically sold me a modified phone, then said because it had been modified they won't help. I've been scammed Apple, and customer service basic response was "we don't care".

After a few days I updated my iPhone its battery suddenly started draining really fast then it stopped charging. I took the phone to the Apple service center since it was under warranty, however they refused to accept it because of a tiny dent on the metallic body of the phone. Only if they could have told me to take care of it like its some crazy highly unstable antimatter bomb!!! I took it to a local repair person which was the only choice I was left with. He replaced what's called the U2 IC, and it started to charge again. However the battery keeps draining in 4-5 hours. Again wasted more money. It's my second iPhone. Again lasted only for a year and a half. I spent so much money on this phone. One of the worst experiences in my life. Hope no one has else suffers like this. And it's creepy at the same time since no one knows how their destructive update algorithm chooses its victims. So creepy.

When I bought, it had issues with GPS and the following day, I went back and they gave me another phone (So, I don't even know if it was brand new?).
I had never had this phone serviced and have no idea how to open this sealed phone, so there shouldn't have been any modifications done. Apple stole my money under fraudulent terms. I have had Apple iPhones for years, but I am now feeling the unpleasant nature of learning that they are controlling everything I do and seem to be using sophisticated scamming techniques to get money from me. The most recent is when I contacted Apple to put money in my Apple Pay so I could use it anywhere. I wanted to make small gaming purchases and then use it with Apple Pay at other locations. They now have a good chunk of change from me, unfortunately, I will never be able to use the money as it was intended or make payment at other locations.
I learned of this when had a payment declined. The first “hint” something was awry was on May 5, I called to find out why the card I purchased on April 24 still was not showing up. The Apple rep was able to fix that problem and she sent it immediately. But it did not show there was any money in. I again called and found they would make sure the money showed up. It never did and when I tried again to use Apple Pay on May 6, I had an embarrassing moment when it declined.
I spoke with an Apple representative again, but this time I was told I can only use the iTunes gift card at iTunes stores. I explained that I was told by an Apple representative to just purchase an iTunes gift card and the money would be available to use immediately in my Apple Pay. When I asked for assurance this could be used with my Apple Pay, I was told absolutely, I could use Apple Pay anywhere it was accepted and by filling the gift card I would have funds available.
I was horrified and contacted Apple for a refund, but was told no. They do not give refunds on gift cards. I explained the error, but was told again, no. Then I tried to file a complaint, but found that the only websites for Apple complaints was the Apple website. Under the complaint section, complaints similar to mine had few or no answers and would not let you add a reply. In other words, you cannot complain about Apple. They tell you what you can do and not do, they take your money and will not respond to complaints. I scoured the Internet only to earn the only one controlling Apple issues was Apple. They are in strong control.
I, on the other hand, have had it and I intend on making some noise about this. How many others have had this situation happen to them. How many millions of dollars are sitting in Apple accounts that have come from people like me who acted on what they were told, but find out it was incorrect information. Apple stole my money. Who else is out there have had this happen to them? It’s time to get together and put a stop to it. Please respond if you need to make your case against Apple. I’ll start here, we can expand as we need. Please respond to **. Let’s see what happens.

So tell me what company makes you wait 14 days to be able to get into your own account because you forget your password on your Apple ID? I am beyond annoyed... First it was 24 hrs... Received the email to reset and it was changed to another 13 days. Are you kidding me? All I need to do is reset my password. I know my passcode for my phone, my iCloud ID. Never once did it ask me to reset or ask security questions to be able to even try to. Just went into account recovery. I don’t need account recovery. I need to reset my password so I can access features on my phone. Called customer service and was first hung up on. Called back and spoke to a Jasmine who told me and tried what I have already done which I told her at the beginning of the call. Way to listen. Asked for someone that can help me resolve this as waiting this long is just unacceptable.
I get a Rob **. I guess that was his name. Gives me the line of, "We can’t do anything. Security reasons." I get it you want to be secure. I asked him if he found this acceptable to allow me as a consumer to prevent me from gaining access to my phone features. I was told yes. Are you kidding me? I know and can answer everything but my password. All I want to do is reset it. I asked to speak to someone above him. He refused. Said he was the above all to end all. I was upset to the point of tears. My husband took the phone and tried to talk to him as well trying to get an explanation of the time frames and why so long. Rob had no idea. Asked again to speak to someone else higher. Was placed on hold for 15 minutes. Was told the person would not get on the line as they could do nothing. Was told the person was Lee **.
This will be the last iPhone I buy. I never asked for a recovery of my account. God forbid anyone else forget a password. I use the great future of the face recognition that I don’t have to do so. And when it does need it I can’t remember and I can’t reset and I am penalized for it. Oh if I have another Iproduct I may be able to reset it that way but damn I only have loved and needed my iPhone. All I want is to reset my password. Why is this so hard? Guess others are having the same issues as I have found other reviews the same. Such a shame. Be secure. Don’t be ridiculous.

I purchased an iPhone 7plus from an AT&T store in September of 2017. The phone was new in the box. On April 6th at about 10 am my phone just went dead. It had a full battery just a few minutes before. It wouldn't turn on and wouldn't take a charge. When I went to the AT&T store, they said that I would have to take it up with Apple because it was under the manufacturer's warranty. When I called Apple, the soonest they could get me a replacement phone was a week later. When I told them that was unacceptable because I had an elderly aunt in my care, they suggested I go to the Apple store in Charlotte to have it replaced.
When I got there, they said that they couldn't outright replace it, but would give me a loaner and would send it in for repair. They gave me an iPhone 6 as a loaner which wouldn't hold a charge and was operating erratically (texting things I didn't type and not letting me type things I wanted to; freezing up; opening apps randomly, etc.). Apple then called me and said that there had been 3rd party modifications done to my phone and that they couldn't replace it. They would repair it for over $300 or I could purchase a new phone.
I had never had this phone serviced so there shouldn't have been any modifications done. I insisted on a replacement and they refused saying it had been tampered with. Basically it is my word against theirs and they have nothing to lose. They are forcing me to spend more money with them instead of standing behind their product. I am HIGHLY dissatisfied and feel like I have been taken advantage of. I haven't purchased another phone yet. My iPhone X which I had for less than 3 months turned off all of a sudden and the next day the battery started swelling in the phone. It swelled up so bad the phone cracked apart in the middle on the front and back of the phone, exposing the entire inside of the device. I was in Thailand when this happened, and anyone who has been there in April knows it is extremely humid and very hot. I had to truck around this phone that was now exposed to the elements for the next 2 weeks before I was able to get back to the United States and take it to Apple.
The Apple store evaluated the device, checked for any other damage besides the battery and also checked the water damage indicator to make sure nothing else could have caused this to happen. There was no indication of water damage or physical damage to the phone so they sent it off to "Apple Repair Center" for them to look at it in more detail and told me the phone would be replaced... Everything so far has been handled like it would be expected, until "Apple Repair Center" decides the phone must have had water damage before the battery swelled up because there was corrosion inside the device.
The device was cracked open in a very humid environment for 2 weeks and the battery exploded and leaked all inside the phone, of course there is corrosion!!! Their response to that was "we have determined there must have been water damage prior to your trip to Thailand, because the corrosion couldn't have developed like this in only 2 weeks." So they want to charge me $550 for the phone that they already charged me $700 for 3 months earlier...THAT IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE BS!!
First of all, the Iphone X is supposed to be waterproof/resistant so how did water get inside the phone if there was no sign or indication water had entered the phone before taking it apart to see corrosion? Second of all, if there was corrosion in that phone before I went to Thailand, then it was in the phone when I received it brand new! That phone was never near any kind of liquids or submerged in anything...it blew up on me before I was ever able to make it to the beach to use it for photos!
This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable for your repair facility to SPECULATE and tell me there is water damage inside of this phone that must have been there prior to the battery swelling up and exposing the inside of the phone. The battery swelled up out of nowhere causing the entire screen of the phone to come disconnected from the sides of the phone. Due to this manufacturing defect it caused moisture to get inside the phone over the course of the next 2 weeks before I was able to return to the United States and bring the phone in for repair. You are now trying to charge me to replace the phone and claim water damage is in no way valid and needs to be handled in the correct way. iPhone X - F17VQF65JCL6.

A few months ago, I replaced my iPhone 5s with a X, as the battery on my old phone was giving out and the phone started to shut down unexpectedly and often. I thought an "upgrade" all the way from 5s to X would be an amazing experience. Gosh, do I miss my 5s. And oh boy do I miss Steve Jobs. I'm perfectly willing to believe that Tim Cook was an amazing COO and probably a much more decent human being than Jobs ever was (his reputation proceeds him). But from what I can tell, Cook is by no means visionary. Sure, a lot of things (a LOT of things!) are different on X, but they definitely are NOT better, at least not for my purposes. The X is much more complicated and not NEARLY as intuitive as the 5s. I have had it for months and I'm still learning how to use it. I even get confused about how to turn on the flashlight after I've logged in with face recognition. (In fairness, the face recognition is AWESOME!)
One of the things that I hate about X the most is the new Apple-proprietary Lightning connection for headphones. My 5s of course had TWO connection ports for accessories, a traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack and a lightning port for charging and other needs, such as connecting to an older music player without Bluetooth. I used to love to charge my phone by connecting it to my laptop, using a Lightning to USB cable, while at the same time listening to music through my non-Bluetooth headphones, via the separate 3.5 mm jack. Now I can't do that, and I have to use a 3.5 mm-to-Lightning adapter to connect my headphones to my iPhone. Oh, I am sure there is yet another adapter that I could buy to divide the single Lightning port to accommodate two connections, but enough with adapters already.
I've owned iPhones since almost the day that they were born (I bought the first model in July, 2006, after waiting on line for hours at the iconic 5th Ave. Apple store in Manhattan.) I've stayed with iPhone in part out of laziness. I'm not very techy, I loved my earlier model iPhones, and each new model seemed to be a vast improvement over the previous one, yet they evolved in such a way that I always found the new models to be very easy to learn and use. With my X, I'm kicking myself for not researching Android options before I shelled out a full grand for a new X. Bummer.

When Apple first came out with the iPhone updates our whole family (4) started having problems with phone freezing, not holding charge, slowing down etc. When the news came out about battery replacement I called Apple support as they recommended, and after having been on the phone with them for over an hour doing diagnostic testing that they said showed my battery was "perfect." Yet they couldn't explain why my phone was suddenly slowing down and freezing and stated I probably need to update my phone!! I finally said I demand a new battery, that of course I have to pay for, and I would like them to order one. They stated they'd order it and I'd have to go to the store and waste another 1-2 hours there while they "replace" it. I never received a call or email from Apple that the battery was there.
When I finally followed up with Apple support myself, they told me it should have been ordered and it "should be there". Anyone who has dealt with Apple stores knows that you cannot call there directly, the menu shunts you right back to the 800 Apple support and you go in circles. I finally went to apple store, waited for an hour only to be told they had no extra batteries, and apparently there was none ordered for me by Apple support. Then 3 weeks later I finally got an email that a battery was there and again wasted another 2 hours waiting for them to "install it." It is stunning at the lack of efficiency in this system, that lack of customer service, and the never ending circles you have to fight through to get anything accomplished with Apple.
I am thoroughly disgusted, their customer service is abysmal! And since the help service is outsourced and a private company, Apple doesn't give a damn about it nor can you get any feedback or have anyone respond to your complaints (which I submitted as well). As an Apple user with (4) phones, (2) MacBooks, desktop Apple, iPods and iPads (among my family) I expect and deserve better customer service! I am no longer a loyal fan!!!

Think Apple has done this so that it will force you to buy an iPhone 8 or an iPhone X. I do not buy their excuse the new software does not run on the older phones. My iPhone was running perfectly until they slowed it down through a software update and this was originally done without the customer's knowledge. I also learned for the first time today that when Apple does a screen share on your computer they record your computer. As a customer I don't like the fact you are forced to have your computer recorded if you need to screen share with a tech agent. I don't think any customer wants their computer information recorded. I cannot believe what happened at the Apple Grand Central Terminal store today. There is a snowstorm in NY today, which of course has been forecasted by all news/weather stations. I placed a very expensive order of items that I critically need on March 11. I received notification that they were all available to be picked up today. I’ve been planning everything around today’s delivery date, as the items I am awaiting are critically needed for both my work and personal life. I’ve received several notifications as recent as last night that all of my items are now available for pick up; the most critical item just became available today. I traveled for hours through the snow to get to Apple Grand Central, where my items were being held.
When I arrived, the entrance was blocked with no explanation. Random staff members were running in and out saying - in passing, without stopping - to angry customers like myself that the “store is closed due to unforeseen circumstances” and that anyone with appointments received a notification. That clearly didn’t include customers like me who had very expensive and urgently needed items that came in today, via web orders. None of the staff would stop and explain what was going on and what we should do now. All of us flabbergasted customers watched as the entire staff walked out casually as a group (with their coats and bags) and left the store, again without stopping to properly acknowledge us or explain what was going on, and how to proceed.
I dragged myself through the snow to get to the store to pick up my items, because they were that important to me. The least Apple can do is provide me with the same effort in return, and use some of that “genius” knowledge to come up with solid contingency plans and proper ways for communicating to customers who are so extraordinarily inconvenienced like me. I’m infuriated and disgusted by this experience.

I called for a replacement after I just couldn’t take it anymore. I received a worse off phone. The screen was yellow and the speaker, was broken.
I called to tell them and all I received was pathetic “I'm sorry’s.” So I send in the second phone, and receive, “wait for it.” Another broken bottom speaker. I speak to a representative and he has the balls to ask me with grill on the bottom it is. I tell him I’m not stupid, the left is a mic and he gets offended that I caught him trying to trick me and asks me to keep it professional. I used to love Apple but lately it has been getting worse and worse.
I use Apple cause I use it for easy notes and calendar to keep up with my autistic daughter's appointments, and to keep my family in the loop as well. Apple hasn’t shown they care yet. I feel like I’ve wasted thousands of dollars. I used to back Apple up, but now it just “doesn’t work.” Don’t waste your time. Especially if you're hoping to go to an OS that cares. Someone people might think I’m over exaggerating when I say “my phone is my life!” But I’m not. My phone is my life. Everything about it is amazing. I remember the first time I got my phone. I remember opening the box the mailman gave me when I was sitting on the front porch. I remember being online picking a iPhone 6 Plus and looking at the colors. I had chosen the rose gold because the pictures looked beautiful. My phone has a big screen that allows you to zoom in and out when taking a picture of something. The camera is better than most phones. You can take so many pictures because it has 16GB. The 16BG means that my iPhone has more storage than regular iPhones and Androids. Unlike the iPhone 6 and 6 plus the iPhone 5 does not have much storage and in order to have enough space for pictures and videos you have to deleted some that you already have.
Android's storage is like iPhone 5 storage but worse because Android phones videos and pictures are blurry and you are only allowed to have a decent amount of photos and videos. Sometimes even when you delete pictures or videos it will still tell you that your storage is full and you can’t take pictures or record until it is not full anymore. But my phone does not run out of storage. In fact you can save your incredible pictures and videos on your iCloud account that will allow you to look back at it whenever you want to. You can delete anything and find it on your account later on. My phone screen looks like a screen tv when watching a movie on Netflix. Most phones don’t have big screens like mine.
I take my phone everywhere with me. I can never imagine going a day without my phone. Not having my phone makes me feel incomplete because my phone is the most valuable thing I own. Most people might think that ordering something expensive online is not a good idea because sometimes when ordering something online you receive something unexpected. Sometimes the item you order is replaced with a different one. But honestly ordering online it’s not bad. Trust me. You will love it. Order any kind of phone online. Trust yourself. Don’t be afraid to buy it. Even if it’s expensive it’s worth the price. Hopeful you receive and enjoy what you order like me.

Nowadays it’s power off while start using the mobile data at full charge. Its display is also bad. A small fall breaks the display also. In this case I fixed. I don’t buy the Apple product anymore and I don’t allow my friends to buy this damn product.

Don't assume you will get a new battery when you send your phone for the replacement battery. Though mine (iPhone 6 battery) was in perfect cosmetic condition and was working well except the battery life, I was told there was "too much damage" inside and they couldn't replace the battery. When I called to ask what the specific damage was they said they couldn't tell me but it would be something like "unauthorized parts". I asked again what specifically was wrong and was told they couldn't share that information with me. The phone has never had service so "unauthorized parts" were not possible. Apple is definitely not keeping their promise.

After updating my iPhone 7 with the latest software iOS11 my phone would no longer connect to any of my Bluetooth devices, I could not accept incoming calls and when attempting to restart/hard reset the phone would sit at the Apple icon for several hours. I went to the Apple Store at Arden Fair in Sacramento, CA. I was told the phone needed a "hardware swap" meaning a new phone and that it couldn't be repaired. I was still under warranty and was told the phone would be covered under warranty BUT, that I had to pay $140.00 plus tax for a new screen before they would replace my phone. They argued the warranty doesn't cover cosmetic damage therefore Apple won't honor the warranty unless I pay for the crack on the corner of my phone. Apple forced me to pay them money before they would honor their own product warranty. (Picture of phone attached.)

I loved my phone up until the last few months when it took forever ever to respond! Then I watched the news about how Apple intentionally slow them down with one of their updates. It all makes sense now why my phone just chugs now. I’m so mad that I’ve officially decided that I will never give Apple another dime or my time. They can kick rocks!
I just purchased a Galaxy S7 and I love it! It’s wicked fast. Apple is a thing of the past in my book! Just another corporate giant stealing and take advantage of customers. Way to go Apple!!! You have definitely lost any trust or faith I’ve ever had in your products or services. And just because I don’t have my receipt from roughly 5-6 years plus ago disqualifies me? Total disgust! I can’t begin to tell you how many important phone calls I’ve missed for interviews because my phone will not properly respond to incoming phone calls!

Please note that this offer was made after thousands of customers complained of Apple intentionally slowing down older iPhone due to batteries. At the Northridge store the genius gentleman told me to wait for Apple to send the battery in 4 days. I said, "Alright, will do". I recently got a phone call that it will be 13-14 weeks later. Not 3-4 days. Also, when I called the customer service advised me unofficially to trade in my phone to get a new one, LOL.

I bought iPhone 5s to my wife in Jan 2017, from December 2017 having issues with phone. It is not restarting, keep showing blank screen. Need to keep the phone idle for 1 or 2 days to get the phone back to normal. It happened 3 times within 1 month. Then I decided to call the Apple Customer care on Jan 17 to report the issue. Over the call representative said that phone warranty is going to expire soon, luckily I called them and they found the issue exists and they need to send the new phone since it is in warranty. She took the shipping details and said that she placed a request to send a new phone to my address in 5-6 business days. I waited for 7 days and then called back Apple about the status of order, they said the request was cancelled and they don't have a reason why that was cancelled.
Since the problem exists they said will place another request to sent the phone, but they don't have the stock available and need to wait until they get the stock back. But the problem is my wife phone is not working and she doesn't have any option to make/receive calls. When I asked them to send her at least some phone until they get the stock they rejected to do it. I keep on calling them to get the phone, but they are not sending it. I had very good opinion on Apple from long as I have used 4s, 5s and 6s as well, but with this experience now, I am really disappointed with Apple products. Can anyone suggest me what to do now? Since my wife phone is now out of warranty with not working phone and Apple is not responding correctly.

I have had an iPhone 6s for a while, lately it has been slow and lagging. A friend said it might be because of a slow battery they used for my model. I tried calling the store on a break. Spent 15 minutes on hold and wasn't given a chance to leave a message. So I drove out of my way after work, waited 10 minutes and was told I could wait another 20 minutes then they could see about ordering the part. I don't get why they wouldn't' let me leave a message so I wouldn't have to drive out of my way for nothing. If I need a part for my car they let me know if they have it and order it.
I wasn't very happy so I called Apple. They said it should be 4-5 days before they would have the battery at the store. After about 10 days I called support again and they didn't know when the battery would be in. I just want to understand the logic. They put crappy batteries in these phones, wasted a few hours of my time, my phone is still lagging a lot, on top of that they charge 30 dollars for the battery, they don't even try to make things right, I'll probably switch to SAMSUNG.

I am writing to you regarding my recent experience with Apple customer service. I was one of the unlucky consumers that needed to get a new battery. I read the article that your company posted on how to accomplish this. I called the Apple support team and they set me up for an appointment for 1-5-18 @ 1110. During that call the customer service guy noted that the nearest Apple store is 60 miles away and he apologized. I completely understood and was not at all upset to have to drive the hour and half through Portland traffic. When I get to the Apple store in Tigard OR, I was about an hour early. I checked in with the folks there and told them my name and I was there to get new batteries for two iPhone 6s Plus phones. He informed me that I would still have to wait an hour before someone could help me. I waited and was finally helped around 1100.
When the customer service guy started to help me, he said “you are here for new batteries?” I said, “Yes.” To which he replied “I don’t think we have them in stock, we will have to order them and you will need to come back.” I told him that I lived an hour and half away and it would have been nice to know that I would have to make a return trip and is there anything he could do? He replied no and ordered two batteries. Needless to say I was extremely upset at the complete waste of my time, and gas that it took to drive from Albany OR to Portland OR. I left the store and called the customer service number I called to set up the appointment. I first spoke to a woman that understood my frustration but could not do anything. I asked to be transferred to someone that could help. She transferred me to Jennifer, a senior advisor.
At this point I had been on the phone for 32 minutes. Jennifer asked me my problem and I told her that I was extremely unhappy with how I have been wasting my time. I told her that I needed someone to make this right. I informed her that I felt that Apple should, at the very least, pay for the batteries. Jennifer put me on hold. After 45 minutes of being on the phone she told me “I cannot offer you free batteries. I show you have only started calling about this since January and since it is not a recurring problem, I am not authorized to do that.” I told her that I understood it was not a recurring problem, but a problem that was caused by Apple and should be made right. She said that had I called and complained more about this, then they might give me the batteries for free, but since I have just started calling about this, there was nothing she could do.
I asked if I could speak to her supervisor and she said she was the highest I could talk to. I said, “you are the highest person at Apple?” To which she said no, but she was the only person that could have helped me. I would like you, or whomever is reading this, to please put yourself in my shoes. I was trying to fix a problem that your company caused, and all I get is the runaround. I cannot imagine that $59.98 is the limit you place for customer service? Everyone in my family owns an iPhone and/or iPad or iWatch. I am asking you, to please help me and make this right.

I bought an iPhone 6s Plus April of 2016. Within 9 months I had my phone replaced 7 times. Would go to the store. The defects would not be fixable. They would swap my phone for a new one that was great on their part. Unfortunately all the phones I received came with same problems. Today January 11 still have the same problems but worse. These are the problems I’m experiencing pretty sure you will too on any series for the defects come through their updates: No Bluetooth connection. They don’t tell you if that is very poor signal. If you have a watch attached there will be no other connection. No one can hear on the other line.
If you use an iPhone for business, your business will suffer that’s because when you get calls they can’t hear you or when you think you left a voicemail they never got it because they can’t hear you. IOS11. Click on an app either call, message or any other there will be a lag Or it will freeze. This a new problem that came with that update. After the iPhone 7 Throughout their updates the music on your wired headphones have lost a lot of volume. And if you use their headphones jack they don’t work (if this is happening to you don’t bother spending money on any earbuds that’s because it’s the phone forcing you to accept no phone jack. Ridiculously slow on iOS 11. My mother’s phone which cost me around $220 is faster than mine. Touch screen frequently will not work. I have to reset this phone every day to get it going. And it’s not the memory as they use blame it on the issue on the past.
I still have more than half the available. Battery life on a full charge. You will get an average of 2 hours before its completely drained. Conclusion: I had an iPhone in the past it froze and never turned on because of an update. Went to android. Had a warranty issue, decided it to give Apple another try just to be Ripped off. This a $1249.00 phone very expensive and like I mentioned earlier my mother $220.00 phone is more efficient. Don’t be fooled this is an American company that became a powerhouse by robbing the American people. Now when You call them They put on hold.
They ask for Your number in case you get disconnected, But never call you back that’s because they have no clue on what to tell you Except that they have more phones now all over $1.000.00 without even fixing it their previous issues, but you Could unlock your phone with facial recognition who asked for that they make stuff that is useless like it was a great feature . My relationship with Apple has come to an END. I’m afraid to do the updates on my iPad which I just got. In Dec 2017 after doing the latest (requested by Apple) update to my iPhone 6s+, I have been experiencing dropped calls, no reception bars (when I always have had good reception in my home for last 15yrs). Called AT&T thinking it's a tower problem, they checked. Nothing had changed. Still showed same reception rate, etc. Tech girl helps me reset phone, etc. but still no better. Phone has continued to degrade battery life & strange glitching occurring (phone won't reset screen from sideways to upright) without turning off & on. Tech girl said, she never does the updates until absolutely has to (I've heard these suspicions before).
Right after my whole frustrated ordeal, I now hear Apple creates "planned obsolescence". This is ridiculous that a company should be allowed to get away with this, as it amounts to consumer fraud (in my opinion). Buying a new iPhone should be my choice not Apple's. I know many appliance companies do the same thing but we don't have to replace a new stove or refrigerator in just 2 yrs & Apple's phones/products are almost as expensive. For the first time ever (I've always had Apple) I'll be having to go with Samsung when I replace this phone & iPad, hoping Samsung will have better/moral Business etiquette/conduct than Apple.

Made things even worse, now the latest updates have home screen options doing totally other functions, they flubbed my perfectly fine phone and turned it into the most frustrating piece of crap in the world.
Some examples, try sending your location and the screen turn to trying to send a new text message and blank screen. But if you press Share Location right after you hit the camera button you fool it and it goes to Share Location. Or trying changing from one text to another, you have to hit the text icon on corner 12 times before it changes. But when it changes it go to the edit text page. Or go to camera, wait about 15 seconds for camera to load, take picture and instead it goes back to home page and miss that life moment. The phone now has a mind of its own!!! YEP THIS MUST BE CAUSED BY OLD BATTERY. BS. Now I see on the news this and they are trying to turn the BS back onto the consumer and sell a $80 dollar battery for the $750 dollar problem to cover up that they have screwed us. There was nothing wrong with my battery until this recent push, obviously caused by Apple.
They need to definitely be hit with a lawsuit to replace and or upgrade all these customers that were affected by this. I finally decided to ‘upgrade’ to an iPhone after 5+ years with a Virgin Mobile LG Tribute (which still works by the way). What a mistake. I bought 2 of the newest versions (iPhone 7) in November, 2016 through Verizon and one year and one month later, (one month out of warranty, go figure) one phone starts with “No service.” It will not receive or make calls or texts. Verizon customer service tries switching the SIM card which does nothing, so they tell me to contact Apple. Apple tells me to reset the phone to factory setting. When we do that, the phone has two factor authentication to reset where it sends you a text to the phone to verify it is really you, however, the phone was not receiving texts so we had to wait 3 days for a code to be sent to the other phone on the account. All this for the phone to still have no service.
I called Apple support again and again they tell me to do a factory reset. I talked to 3 reps who knew nothing and could provide no explanation. Once again, no change to the phone. No one can tell me why this is happening to a like new phone in pristine condition. They must already know that the phones are of poor quality. I take the phone to an Apple repair store. They provide a loaner phone for $25 and say they can send it off to Apple to fix it (mind you they still can’t tell me what is wrong with it or indicate that I have done anything to cause damage to the phone).
There is a cost...of $300! I’ve paid off the phone by half and still owe $330 and now I have to pay $300 to repair it and, get this, they can’t guarantee it will be fixed for good! How can I possibly feel confident in buying another Apple product after this? A $660 phone will not last past one year after taking great strides to ensure that it does not get damaged? What do I have to do? Keep it locked in a bubble and never touch it to keep it new? Seriously though, if I pay $660 for something, I expect it to last, at least until I pay it off. Apple needs to take responsibility for their shoddy products and offer a recall. I can’t wait until I get rid of both of these shoddy pieces of technology and never have to deal with another Apple product ever again. Apple, you have lost me as a customer and I will use every platform I can to spread the word.

I have owned apple phones since the iPhone 3 and I was forced to upgrade my iphone 3 due to software updates not being compatible with older models. I now have an iPhone 7 that I have owned for almost a year. This phone has been a nightmare regarding call quality, specifically issues with phone calls going directly to voicemail. I also loose signal during calls when in buildings and this is very frustrating due to the fact that my previous iPhone 4 NEVER HAD SIGNAL ISSUES. I have troubleshooted this iPhone 7 by reading user manuals along with help from at&t which is my cell carrier. The terrible experience with this phone has also been contributed by the last few software updates. I now have to re-educate myself about changes to settings and menus that I did not want to change.
Apple has decided that they know what setting I want when in reality the changes have been a massive inconvenience to me since my battery now last almost half as long as it did before the updates. I shouldn’t be forced to reconfigure my phone every time I download a software update. I now am stuck in a contract with a phone that is not what I agreed to purchase 8 months ago. AT&T has told me to go to an Apple store to resolve my issues. I purchased my phone online through AT&T and am financing it through them yet they cannot help me. This sounds like a breach of contract due to selling products that become faulty as well as frustrating to users that didn’t pay for features that we are now forced to change or disable every time Apple decides to “fix” issues with new software.
This is a known problem that many of iPhone users have complained about online and to the carriers. Apple users pay a premium price for the products in exchange for products that are now inferior to other items which are half the price. I demand a resolution that gets me the quality product and service that I pay for. I would be satisfied with using an iPhone 3 if the service along with the software were able to function with any Apple software older the 3 years old.

I am also receiving calls and text messages hours after they were sent due to this issue. I pay for unlimited cellular data, and the fact that you turn it off constantly whenever I move at all so I can't use it or use my phone is atrocious! My navigation turns off whenever the phone turns its own wifi and bluetooth back on, and my Spotify won't play as I drive. Switching to Android after 10 years of being an iPhone user because your update makes it so that my phone literally does not work in basic phone use.

I recently replaced an iPhone 5s with the new 8 and I am extremely disappointed. It needed a new IOS (not just an update) and is slower than the 5s (a great phone). The 8 is over-featured and the software is very glitchy. I had similar problems with my Blackberry just before that company went under. Apple's strength used to be reliability and simplicity, but it seems to have lost its way. Many of my friends and associates feel the same and are moving to Android. I have not used the new iPhone X, but I have to think these 8 problems extend to that model as well.

The Apple iPhone is a great instrument. It does wonderful things. But the Sprint outfit who sold us the phones, never gave any instructions on how to use it. They are charging us poor seniors an arm and a leg to use it and we still hunt & peck just to make it work properly. I am still not sure that I know everything it will do or how much memory it takes to do it. I took a lot of pics of my great-great grandparents and their old home, just to find out I had used up many GB of memory. And if I want more tutorials I have to pay more money for this. I am on a very low fixed income, since I have been disabled for 15 years and retired for 5. There is no one out there to help us baby-boomers. My dogs and the rescue group that I belong to are my only salvation.

After repeated attempts to contact apple, they actually reached out to me and the problem was resolved really quickly and I'm very pleased with how everything went. They definitely value customer service and I think the real problem is that it was hard getting in touch with someone that could actually do something about it. Once I spoke with the right person, I had an iphone X on my doorstep on release day.
Original Review: Oct. 27, 2017
I am not sure this is going to get to the right person but this is where the customer service representative on the phone told me to go. I had a terrible experience trying to preorder the iPhone X. I thought I was doing everything right. I woke up in the middle of the night (seriously 2 am central time, why Apple?), used your Apple store app because Tim Cook said it was the best way to preorder the phone, and the app was not working. First off it didn’t even open until 2.20, then repeatedly crashed and wouldn’t process my order. I tried calling your phone line but they were not accepting any calls (that’s messed up btw).
Unsure of what to do I tried doing It online on your website. Once It finally worked, I figured It was best going through Apple instead of ATT to get the included Apple Care coverage. After repeated attempts (the app was still not working btw) my order finally went through for an early November delivery, however I never received a confirmation email.
I was not notified until 3.5 hours later that there was an error processing my order and that I should do it again. Having received that notification I of course was very confused but placed my order again however this time the delivery would not be until late December. Needless to say I was pretty devastated to get this news. I did everything right. I did everything I could to get the phone in a reasonable amount of time.
The reason I want the iPhone X so badly is that my iPhone 6 has been terrible ever since you sent the last two updates. Apple has always had great customer service so I tried to contact someone on your teams. After waiting on hold I was transferred to someone in sales who was not helpful, rude, and then hung up on me when I asked to speak to a different representative. I called back and got someone else who told me to come here. This is not ok Apple. You’re better than this or at least you used to be. I am an Apple loyalist. I basically have every one of your products and do not deserve to be treated this way. This left me with a terrible customer experience and for the first time in a decade I’m considering leaving Apple.

My prior two cell phones could have been hooked up to the web and been semi-smart and they both came with manuals. They were Samsungs and I really liked them.
I also hate the short battery life and the short life in general for these phones. Mine is a little over 2 years old and it's very close to failing completely. The camera options allows the user end photo options, styles and editing capabilities and the iCloud provides a larger memory for the user. The iPhone 7s offers a world of possibilities, including screen finger writing for notes and for texted messages. Although the iPhone 7s offers the user the option to store fingerprint images it isn't required nor necessary and can opted out by the user.
The only downside to ALL cellular phones is that the manufacturer builds the cell NOT TO LAST. By the time you are getting used to your cellular phone, a new one comes out. This is the time where the user can anticipate most that their current cellular phone is going to start acting up, not respond to new update coding, the battery will run hot... The list of failure-to-respond will be so so long that you will find yourself FORCED to buy a newer model cellular phone. And that in my opinion is called technology monopoly. You be the judge.

Cost benefit ratio is important. Weigh carefully before you decide. Basically a good phone but question remain on battery life. Initial cost and ongoing costs should be considered. Download only required apps.

Battery goes dead very quickly. The only thing I don't like about the Apple phone is you have to go to Apple store for service and wait time can be more than an hour. And they are expensive.

Apple products are user-friendly, easy to load apps, interfaces with phone and iPad are automatic. Updates are easily downloaded. Takes great photos. Feel its systems are more secure.

I have been an iPhone user since 2011. Wouldn't get any other phone, love my iPhone. Waiting for the iPhone 8 to come out. Love that it communicates with the rest of my Apple products.

I live by what is in my iPhone but there are things that I don't like, e.g., I have to charge it frequently. The battery hasn't burned out but because I use my phone for almost everything, I need to charge it mid-day. For the most part the phone is easy to use and it connects to my other Apple devices.

The Apple iPhone is intuitive and simple to figure things out, does not take much time to learn new things and has many options for meeting lifestyle needs of a busy working mother. I love how easy it is to pair with car and other devices.

I have a iPhone 7 Plus. Love it. I have no problem with it or the battery in it and it works great. For the last 5 years I have had an iPhone and love the technology and being able to play games and be able to be on social networks. Seems like anything that I need is at my fingertips. Research, restaurants, etc.

My current phone is the iPhone 6S plus and I love it. It is easy to use, easy to read, and I have not had any problems with it, nor with the iPhone 5, I had previously. They are reliable and the battery life is excellent in the 6S plus, better than in the 5.

The phone is great but so is the price (At&t). The only time you can get a good price is if you find a special deal, but those are hard to find. However, the price is worth it.

I love the iPhone but wish there was more user friendly training. I know the phone can do a lot more but I don't know how to do everything. Also, emailing updates/support options would be great!

I absolutely love Apple products and will never use any other products again. I have a Mac computer, iPad Pro, and Apple Cell Phone. Apple products are reliable and I love the fact that I have not had one virus in the past 7 years once I switched to them.

I didn't have an iPhone until a couple of years ago. I had resisted getting one, because everyone who I knew who had one, seemed to tune out everyone and everything around them. Then I realized that this is more to do with manners and habits. I have come to love and appreciate all that I am able to do with phone. I especially like the quality of its camera, as well as the news app.

Apple is a great product. Expensive though. Battery could last longer. But in general I wouldn't use any other. Love the privacy, the camera is great. Lots of storage, I love it!

I like everything about this phone. GREAT Phone, but a good phone is half of it, you need a good Network especially one that you can get a hold of easily for problems and questions etc.

I have gotten it wet a couple of times and with letting it sit in rice for a day it still worked perfectly for me. I love the iPhone.

The Apple brand phone is not bad but there is room for lots of improvements with their phones since new ones are put out so fast without addressing all the issues of previous phones (screen freezing, camera issue, microphone issue, home button issues). So many things that have me regretting buying the latest one because this was suppose to be the one, from all the hype.

When updates are done you have no choice but to do them. If you don't like the update "too bad" according to Apple. I should be able to choose what I want on my phone! There are several updates I hate.

This phone is reliable, has better battery life than I expected and once used to it I found it pretty easy to use. I'm no smartphone expert and this is only the second one I've owned but after listening to users of other brands complain, I think it's probably a superior device.
