I bought iPhone 6s from Snapdeal, which cost is 46200rs. When I started up iphone then I see the imessage was not activate. So I give the phone in AppleCare. They checked the phone. After we know the iphone is damaged and used device. So they didn't replace me. Then I contact the snapdeal. The snapdeal company told me "that is not our problem. We could not do anything". Thats why the apple company and snapdeal is fraud companies.. I want to replace my iphone or refund. Please solve my problem as soon as possible.

I'm writing from Brasil. I had a problem with the iPhone a week after I purchased (it would turn off for no reason and keep like that for days), so I used the warranty and got another. Now, almost 3 years later, my phone doesn't connect wi-fi. The support team said it is something in hardware and it costs around R$900 to repair it. It is 50% of the price I've paid for it, way too expensive for a repair. I am desolated since I work with the iPhone and used to say it was great. It's very sad to think your product doesn't last for more than 3 years.

Watching TV, doze off, wake up to intense burning from my pocket. Phone is several days new, it's burning my leg through my pocket! Take my pants off, the phone is sizzling, hissing, crackling, smoking. Got treated at the hospital. Apple replaced the phone. Wondering if the issue is as prevalent as the web shows, and if there is a suit that fits my experience.

The customer service on the phone was great. Got my phone the next and I'm time. The trouble happened when I tried using the phone. I had to go to the Sprint store twice and two different Apple Stores. Also have to return to Apple in 3-5 days to swap phones. They sent me a refurbished phone that gave me nothing but problems. Settings and iMessage would not work. It should NOT be this hard when I am paying 200 dollars for my new phone since the other one's screen got shattered. Terrible experience and will never use it again.

I have had this Apple iPhone since last fall and there wasn't any problem with it. I purchased it outright. About 1 month ago, I noticed that is was dropping calls. I took it to the Verizon Store in Glenwood Springs and I was told that since I changed my Internet Carrier at home that this Apple iPhone does not work with Comcast? It's not the phone, it's Comcast. So I took it to Comcast and they fiddled with it and it worked for a week or more. I was given an 800 number that I could call regarding the phone. I took it to Basalt and was told that it was me and not the iPhone.
So I came home and I called the 1-800 number and a very nice customer rep answered the phone and she tried to help me. Didn't work, so she transferred me to a phone tech and he began to berate me and tell me how stupid I was. I tried to explain to him what was wrong with the phone, but he continued to berate me, and I called him a name and hung up. My niece was home for a visit and she took the phone and she got it to update and she got it working. Unfortunately I am a Traveling Notary and this phone does not ring.

I have spent over 16 hours of my time dealing with multiple problems with iPhone's technical issues. I've been reissued four, (4) iPhones because of technical problems. Not only wasting over 16 hours of my time having to call Apple support. I've had to go into Apple store to explain and get different iPhone another (8) eight hours of my time. The iPhone I have now still does not function properly. Explaining issues multiple times before support is willing to act like they will correct problems issues never get resolved.
Support told me Apple system cannot do what I'm explaining Apple and disconnects. So then I take video and show Apple store. No support member has same answer. Multiple apps in iTunes do not function properly and charge Apple account and credit cards until zeroed. I've had to reissue three credit cards due to problems. Problems still exist and Apple cannot give me an answer or fix issues. I'm so over Apple iPhone garbage. How are they able to rip me off?

3 months back I bought iPhone 5s, and it has serious heating issue and network issue. I went to service centre and filed a complaint on 5th Feb about the same and got the Case ID- Service Report RAF No. **. This morning I went and took the phone and was assured that all the issues has already been rectified. However, the problem still persists. I went back and spoke to Mr. ** about the issue (even though I wasted my time and energy going there and still finding the issue not being resolved.) Still, I maintained my calm and spoke to Mr. ** on resolving the issue. To my utmost SURPRISE, he declined to provide with any help saying the problem is with all the iPhone 5S due to metallic body. All the while, he was extremely rude and arrogant while handling the issue. I asked for manager, and TO MY HORROR, he said he is the manager. This was a worst Customer Service I have ever experienced in my life.
Now my FIRST question is, if this issue is there with all the 5S phones then why the hell is it being sold in the market, is it a scam or to cheat customers? My second question is, if there is any Customer support at all for Customers who bought the phone thinking it's the best in the market and he/she will be provided with the world class service. However, to my surprise it's the worst I ever experienced in my entire life, where the manager itself doesn't have any clue about dealing the customers and also about customer satisfaction. In fact when I complained that the problem still persists and asked him to check and rectify it, he instead of being polite, raised his voice at me and to quote him, he said "Do whatever you want, we cannot do anything at all" and WALKED AWAY.
I FEEL CHEATED!!! I FELT DISGUSTED!!! I will definitely take this LEGAL. I will file a official complaint in the Consumer forum and I WILL NOT LET THIS GO UNTIL THE ISSUE IS RESOLVED OR ELSE I GET COMPENSATION FOR BEING CHEATED!!! I have send an email to the CEO and others regarding this issue. I'm yet to receive the reply from them.

I was using my Iphone 5S and a year after the warranty is over, my Iphone started to go mental. Nothing worked, and I lost 2 major deals today because I couldn't make any calls or answer to emails. I called 800 my iphone and they said there is a factory defect in my Iphone and I should go to the Apple store to swipe it. After they made me wait for 2 hours, they wanted to charge me $300 for repairs and they won't budge!!! I always kept my Iphone in a secure case, I never dropped it, and always handled it with great care. I do believe the Iphones have a "self destruct" mechanism after 2 years period, and nobody believes that something like that can append to their "precious" Iphone. BUY IPHONE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! GO SAMSUNG!!!

Apple service has deteriorated severely. Long holds, poor response time, no resolution. I purchased a new iPhone 6 for Christmas. Immediately had hardware AND software issues. Took phone back to store, they reset it. Following day unable to answer any calls or hear. Went to Apple Store and was told I had to wait 2 hours or restore phone, which I did but didn't fix. I tried to call Apple because noticed when using headphones I get a click or shock in ear. Called on hold for over an hour. Went to store, told to make appt because the wait was over an hour. Called tech support, waited countless hours to be disconnected.
Finally got senior rep who promised me a new exchanged but the store didn't have my appt. Called Apple again to be on hold for over an hour and then disconnected. Made another appt with another store. I arrived 5 min. early, was attended to 37 minutes later. Spent 4 hours in the store. They refused to exchange my phone. They wanted to give me a serviced phone that isn't new. Service phones are phone that were serviced not new. No box or headphone. Apple corporate transferred me to senior rep again. After a month struggling and hours wasted I still have a broken iPhone. I paid $900.

Apple's service and product quality has been deteriorating. Based on my personal experience they don't care about anyone because they believe hardcore fans will remain loyal even if they are treated with no respect. Recently an app I downloaded from the App store keeps crashing but Apple would not rectify the issue. They just cite the user agreement and did not even bother to contact me to gain a better understanding of the issue. I also have a Mac and its CAP lock doesn't work. Again, Apple didn't want to help but only to cite their warranty terms and conditions which I already know.
Recently I also found out that certain apps are higher priced in Apple's app store vs Google play because Apple charges higher fees to developers and hence the higher cost. Why would I want to pay more for the same thing? Bottom line is Apple just doesn't care about its users and they believe adamantly that they are better than everyone else. Keep that thinking that way and I hope meet their doom. I am counting on it as history has proven that no company will thrive forever on bad service. Remember the 80's when Apple Computer nearly went bankrupt? I wonder what really changed today. Eight years of buying Apple products and bad service is all what I get. I am done with them -- switching to Android this year. I for one will NOT continue using Apple products after being a loyal Apple customer for 8 years.

I've had several iPhones and each one of them has had issues. My phones have lasted a little over a year before they begin having problems with the battery etc. Most recently, my phone wouldn't even turn on. Apple is usually commended for its excellent customer service... I'm yet to see it.

You probably consider iCloud a good thing but it has some interesting caveats. Anything you put on your iPhone, Mac or iPad Apple assumes ownership of it if you use iCloud to backup that information. You could begin in settings without iCloud enabled and put information into your iPhone. But once you enable iCloud Apple assumes ownership. On top of that iCloud carries a price tag that is hidden. Not only do you buy your iPhone but you pay for the backup of anything on iCloud if you go for more than the free five giga-bytes at Apple. You can test who owns the data or information that you put into your device by going to settings and turning off iCloud backup of your information. Take Contacts, uncheck it and you get the pop up that says if you continue all contacts will be deleted off of your device.
Apple is taking away anything you put in contacts. There is no way to capture that information for a device that uses iOS. The only way to restore it is to put the check mark back on contacts. I have asked several times why this ownership occurs but to date I have not heard a rationalization that justifies it. And I cannot offer one. There are several devices made by Apple that use iCloud for backup. They are the iPhone, iPad, Mac, watch, TV, and iPod and Music. Each or some of the devices requires significantly more than five giga-bytes of space for backup. Backup space is allocated to the owner of a device. If the owner has more than one device the owner must use that space for backup of all devices. That is the cost of owning Apple devices.
iOS is the operating system of software that Apple has created to run iPhone and iPad. OSX or as currently known El Capitan is the operating system software used on MacBook. There are several apps on the Mac that have look and feel equivalents on iPhone and iPad. The apps on the Mac and in iOS are closely coupled. When you stop doing backups, for example Contacts, on either the Mac or an iOS device you will get the same pop up saying the information will be deleted. The apps that behave this way are not limited to Contacts but to also Photos, Calendar, Notes, Wallet and other apps. Apple recently introduced an iPad they call iPad Pro. It has a keyboard option making it virtually another laptop like the Mac. Obviously Apple is moving towards ending production of the Mac in favor of the iPad Pro. And along with that comes Apples backup of data.
When production of the Mac ends or they change the operating system of software on it to iOS Apple will own anything you put on one of the devices they make and you paid for. You truly have been had coming and going. What is worse the measly 5 GB of free storage on iCloud doesn't match with any device that Apple makes. They are all bigger. Apple wants your money on a nickel and dime basis. For 50 GB you will currently pay ninety-nine cents a month on a credit card. And if you do not keep up payments they put your data and information you have collected in the bit bucket never to see the light of day again potentially. An unusual rationalizing statement from Apple is that anything you put into your device is yours and anything coming from it is theirs or coming out of their system.
As an example in Contacts this statement holds very little water because you can easily test adding a Contact to Contacts and then turning off backups of Contacts. All contacts will be gone including the one just put in if you proceed. To be fair though if you do turn it off fully you will not have any contacts but if you turn it on within a few moments they will all be back. In addition all the information you put into your device is available on the Internet at iCloud.com with your AppleID and password. That information just will not be available in an as accessible manner as it is on your device. You can circumvent this in a MacBook.

I just aware all customer that I phone is only limited to warranty period. After that if you phone get damage or any other issue, they will say "it is out of warranty, our policy says that we not repair the mobile and only replace the phone by paying new phone price" where the same thing I done locally of nominal charges. In my case I had iPhone 4s where I purchased for 40000. Now it display is not working. I took it service dept and they told it is out warranty and "we don't replace part, we will replace new phone by paying today iPhone 4s price that is 16500.
They are not customer side and not ready to listen that customer has already invested for entire unit. And if one part get damage, they are not ready to replace it. If they policy is phone replacement, why they are not considering remaining part compensation? If they want to say that they will new phone by paying present market price then what is the need to going there wasting time. For your information in my case, the display is available in market for 2200 where Apple is not ready to listen us. Thanks for local display company where you saved my 40000 by giving display for 2200 and not cheating the customer by saying Apple policy and replacement offer by paying the entire amount. For all customer, I like to aware that please purchase other brands where spare replacement is there. And don't be trapped and stuck your valuable and earning money by investing in this kind customer against policy company like Apple.

I purchased an IPhone 4S only to have the wifi stop working when I updated the firmware. I have tried every fix on the Internet since I went back to the iPhone store and they pretended they did not know of the problem that has occurred to thousands of iPhones. They told me I had to pay $200 for a replacement phone. I refused. The warranty had just expired. I saw an interview with Apple on 60 minutes the other day where they said that the longer a prior version of any product lasts in eats into the life of the newer version of that product. In other words they practice engineered longevity. The iPhone update causes the wifi module to overheat and stop working. I will never spend my hard earned money on their junk again.

The iSight camera on my iPhone is obvious broken. All images taken by this phone are blurry as hell, especially when there is backlighting. I checked on the web and found out that there's been a recall on iPhone 6 plus iSight camera and my serial number is listed on this recall. However, when I took my phone to the Apple-authorized service center, after a few days of checking, they told me that because I've replaced a broken screen outside of Apple (3rd party), they are unable to fix my iSight camera.
I am just curious, what does it have to do with my 3rd party screen? Why do I have to pay over $400 for a replace screen at Apple while I can do it for $100? Besides, I don't need to mention how fragile is the iPhone's screen; almost all my friends have cracked or broken screens on these big iPhones. Also, this defect of iSight camera is not because of mishandle on the iPhone, it's Apple who shipped the defective product to me. I've tried called and talked to Apple customer service, and all they can tell me is "sorry, because you have used a 3rd party parts on iPhone, we can't proceed further to fix your iSight camera". This is just not right because these two things are totally irrelevant to each other; but what the heck, they are Apple, so they can say whatever they want.

They are not concerned at all about making things right for the consumer. As of today my daughter still has no replacement phone and no word on them paying to replace our carpet. Hope no one ever has to deal with them and all of the channels they require when it is clear this issue could have caused harm to my daughter if she was not smart enough to toss the phone. I was told that although I am at no-fault whatsoever in the phone being unresponsive, since my warranty was up a mere two months ago, I must pay a $139 fee. This is complete blasphemy. It is not right that I purchased this phone for upwards of $750. What a ripoff. I bought the Apple 2 year insurance for an iPhone in Jan 2014. So, for the first time I need to use it, felt all is fine because I still have time. Now that I need the insurance, the phone is now only worth $70 plus or minus dollars, that is OK, can't control the market for used phones. BUT, to my surprise, Apple does not handle the insurance I bought thru them. It is handled by another firm, Asurion. So, I feel great and contact Apple, bit of a hassle, but finally got the person at Asurion to take care of the issue (same results online BTW). And guess what, they said, "Great you are covered, it will only cost you $99 for us to fix it under your insurance plan".
What a dumb ** I am, I didn't think Apple was just another pass the buck rip off company, but it is. So, I paid for insurance to fix an item for a fee that is more than the item is worth. Hope they make money in China and the Chinese are smarter than this dumb **. I will be spending the next week, maybe month, posting the above on every site that accepts true consumer comments.

I have been given a iPhone 5c as I renewed my contract with EE for another 24 months (I have been with EE since 2007). In the last 2 months there has been a problem with my phone where a bar appears in the middle of the phone. This is a common fault with I phones regardless of what model (check YouTube). I contacted EE with this problem who then passed it onto Apple customer services in America, who told me that this is a common fault with Apple's iPhone and that the phone's screen needs to be replaced. He informed me to go to Apple in Westfield center (Stratford) and to wait for a engineer to complete the repair.
I was shocked to see the amount of people in the store who are all waiting for a engineer to look at their phone for it to be fixed and no one was there to purchase Apple products. The staff told me that you have to book an appointment and come back at a later date. An appointment was booked for a week later, but on arrival the staff member who I talked to was very rude and arrogant and told me that I had to wait at least 2 hours before a engineer would see me. However Apple stated that I would be seen at my appointment time and repair within in half hour. I would advise anyone who wants to purchase Apple product to be in for a big headache? I go to Apple and the manager of the store says "oh your problem is you're using an AT&T iPhone." I ask why they keep giving me phones that are not for T-Mobile. She says "we don't carry those." WTF. Why would you not sell the items you make? Her solution is never update the phone. Why would I want to buy a phone I can never update. Now I'm thinking about just never buying an iPhone again. The same thing happened with my iPhone 5s as well. And this is the 3rd time with my iPhone 6. Android might be the way to go.

I purchased an New iPhone March 2015, an upgrade to the iPhone 5 which was cracked on both face, but worked perfectly fine. Soon after I realized I was having difficulties hearing people and they were having difficulties hearing me. But I drank the Kool-Aid, I removed the phone cover hoping things would become better but nope it just got worse. October, I made an appointment with the Genius Bar. They ran their test and YES… 2 of 3 mics was not working. They said they would have to replace my phone. (And so they should… It's why you drink the Kool-Aid and pay sooo much money.) But wait…. "You dropped it and it's damage on the corner." (Hmmm didn't the designer think I'd be using the phone and may dropping it when it became too hot to handle???)
Now Apple could change the face along with the mics, but nope. Because of the small bumps on the sides the only way they could do this was if I gave them an additional $300.00 making the phone an almost $1,000.00 (I didn't drink that much Kool-Aid). I walked out and left them with the paperweight which he told me to go sell on the web… Yes the Apple rep told me to go sell an phone with broken mics, and too hot to handle on the web… Needless to say I'm now going to google phone and will no longer drink their Kool-Aid. DONE.

iPhone providers in UAE are deliberately 'injecting' software on to older models to slow down, in the intention of users to buy newer models. If this is the case, we will go for other brands which are much better in performance. Even though the provider's intention is different, the reaction by the users would adversely affect the phone company.

I've been the Genius Bar five times. They actually said the problem was I never charge the phone to 100%. Told them they were wrong and that it says 100% but obviously the battery is defective. In the most recent IOS update, the IOS9 to be specific, my iPhone 5s crashed. I called Apple to get help, they wanted to charge me to help me because my phone was 3 months out of warranty. After paying for the Apple Care they said "sorry we can't fix it", you have to go into a store. I made an appointment and went... the store wanted to charge me again to see if they can fix it "no guarantees". At this point I'd been without a phone for about a week. So I paid again, they said that my phone's software was shot and I'm going to have to buy a new phone. Cause it looks like I shot money to Apple Company. I told these fine folks that I can't afford to pay for a new phone because I'm still paying for the one the "software update" has just fried. I'm so disappointed that a company as rich and big as Apple didn't stand by their own product. So needless to say they turned their back on a very loyal and long time customer and didn't even bat an eye over it.
I have had iPhones since the second generation, always had issues and Apple always helped me but this time they decided not to help me. Instead asked that I give them more of my hard earned money for a brand new phone, that's so convenient. So what I took from this experience is that Apple doesn't appreciate customer loyalty, they just want your money. In case I didn't make it clear my phone was barely 1 year and 3 months old. My phone was in no way damaged, it was always well protected, but I made the stupid decision to update the software which CRASHED my phone so much so that it was not even repairable. Apple lost me and my entire family as customers. After this I will never buy another Apple product again and neither will my family.

The only reason why I bought an Iphone 5s is because my husband still has the 4s and it works absolutely fine. The phone seemed well worth the money. Well so did mine until I updated to the 8.4.1. My phone went insane. It was so glitchy that calls were dropping and my phone would randomly dial people in my contacts. Typing was glitchy and would type random letters. Apps would crash. Slide to unlock button wouldn’t work and the screen would freeze. So I call apple and they say that many users are having that issue and that the iOS 9 should definitely fix everything. I had faith.
iOS 9 worked for 15 minutes and nothing happened. This is where it got interesting. I called Apple and they said to get it fixed at the store. I go to the store and make an appt. The line is out the door with more than half the people there having the same issue. So I go to my appt and the guy tells me some bull crap about my phone isn't working because my screen is semi-messed up. I said well my screen has been like this and everything was fine until I upgraded to the 8.4.1. So he takes it to the back and then the IT guy says they cannot fix my phone because Apple's system is not updated to fix any phones on the new iOS 9. Are you serious! Then he tells me it will cost almost $300.00 to get it fixed. I had this phone a year and a half and you want me to pay half of what I paid for a new one?
Then I find out people are going to numerous apple stores and getting different responses as to what is wrong with their phone. No, something is wrong if every apple store IT Tech gives you a different response as to what is wrong with your phone. They are practically lying to our faces. Luckily my husband hasn't updated his phone at all. I called Apple once again and they told me that many people are still having issues and that the iOS 9.1 is going to fix all the issues we have encountered with iOS 8.4.1 and iOS 9. My iPhone 6 is broke.. again, for the third time since I purchased. The phone and craftsmanship is the poorest Apple has put out. I have spent (and will spend more) $300 to date to fix this phone. And another $100-200 to fix it a third time. That is more than what the phone is worth and what I have paid for it. I have had the iPhone 4 for years (I kept it even after the contract runs out and ready for upgrade) and it was sustainable.
I need someone who can rectify this situation because I am extremely upset as you must imagine. Extremely disappointed in this Apple product and the support. All three times I dropped my phone it has broken. This first time I had to spend the $200 to completely replace it because the screen could not be replaced because the side was bent in. The second time, the screen cracked and I went to a store to have it replaced for another $100. This time I dropped the phone sitting in my chair and it slipping out of my hands. I was so proud that my case and cover allowed the screen not be shattered this time, but only have a hairline slither. I was ok and would live with it..... until the touch screen started to not work. I wasn't able to open/close, it had a mind of its own. Because the touch screen was not aligned it would not register the right password and my phone inevitably became disabled.
I was at the Apple store yesterday and they were familiar with the situation and would help repair. To my dismay they were unable to fix my phone because they said the screen was changed by a third party (the second fix) and no longer an Apple device once touched by a third party. This was absurd. I just wanted my screen fixed and I wanted to PAY for them to replace. Excuse my ignorance, but I did not know that the third party would have done that. I was getting it fixed by my job because there were no Apple stores in Brooklyn. Someone should have explained that because then I would have sent it in. Now I'm told you cannot help me and I am left with a disabled phone that was faulty and non-durable to begin with.
The manager looked up my account and I have only had this phone since June 22/23 (He was even shocked and embarrassed). This is all less than three months that I am investing (and that is the wrong terminology) just as much as I have paid for this phone to repair it. There has been a lot of buzz that the phone is made this way because you are making the money on repairs. I have never had this issue with my iPhone 4 so I am so disappointed that the successor is not more superior.
I am reaching out to you, so you can pass this along to the person who can fix this. I want to be told that you will replace this screen and fix the issue, otherwise I am going to spend $50 toward a Galaxy and switch. I really hope Apple will make the right decision as a company and a brand. It would be extremely foolish that we cannot come to an agreement with this and Apple would rather not fix this situation. This will have an effect on present and future sales (the phone is small chump change in the scheme of things). I will never purchase another Apple product for any business I operate, own, and help assist.

NEVER BUY iPhone FROM INDIA. Worst experience of buying iPhone over any other smartphone. I bought iPhone 5S last year and it is in warranty... It started hanging and gradually the problem increased and phone was switched off and never turned on. Since it was in warranty I took the phone to AppleCare and as expected they said we need to send it for screening to the screening centre.
After 4 days it was told to me that there is some physical damage and it is not covered under warranty. Since the executive was also not convinced with the response he got from screening centre (because the phone was getting detected in iTunes in safe mode) he said “give me some more time and I will try to get it fixed.” After another 5 days it was communicated to me that nothing can be done and I have to pay Rs 20500 (INR) to get a new handset. The executive suggested that "you may reach out to Apple customer care and discuss the case with them."
And now the worst story begins. I called them. It took me 54 mins to make them understand what my problem is. Finally some senior executive named Swati picked up the matter and confirmed that we will get in touch with the AppleCare centre (where I gave my handset) and will try to get this issue resolved. After almost a week, she called me and said nothing is possible as it is a 3rd party intervention which means my phone was opened by a 3rd party vendor. I said “this is not possible because the phone is in warranty and Apple does not charge anything for screening. So why would I take the phone to 3rd party vendor and get it fixed. Moreover your engineer told me that it was a physical damage and not a 3rd party intervention so the phone cannot be replaced free of cost." On that the reply of Madam Swati was, “Sorry now it cannot be replaced at all even if you pay Rs 20500 because it’s a 3rd party intervention.”
I asked her why there is a contradiction in their statement and what is the proof that the damage belong to my phone or I got my phone to some 3rd party. She said, “You need to trust us.” What crap… iPhone having worst service in India. No set process. Just harassing the customer by providing some phone manufactured in China. Poor quality and worst after sale service. Total Fraud. This all happened with me when the phone was in warranty. Had it been out of warranty I don’t know what Apple guys would have said. I will never recommend iPhone to anyone. It’s complete waste of money. NEVER BUY IPHONE IN INDIA.

Whenever I was putting it on silent mode it was automatically coming to loud then silent and continuously it was happening. Since I extended the warranty last year, it was in warranty till 2nd of September 2015. I submitted my device to Unicorn Infosolutions Pvt Ltd, Malviya Nagar (authorized service center) on 19 August 2015 and successfully got a brand new iPhone 5 as a replacement on 26 August 2015. I was like, wow!! This is Apple. After using it for a day, on 28th of August 2015 I was going through a mail, suddenly it became unresponsive, a multicolored screen appeared and device got switched off and immediately got switched on and continuously it was happening.
I immediately went to service center and showed my phone to a lady at the service counter. She diagnosed herself and said it will further undergo some screening process and then only we would be able to sort this out... and said, "You will get the conclusion within 2 to 3 working days." After waiting for 9 days, I myself called them to know the status as my office work was suffering. They took few job sheet details and reverted that "Your device did not get replacement because Apple India found some aftermarket components and broken components." I then visited the service center and asked them for solution. They said they cannot do any help.
How come in 2 days (1 day to be honest) a working person can visit a local shop and get a component replaced on a brand new iPhone 5, paying some extra bucks for it when he know it's in warranty period and Apple is there to support. This is not what I paid for 45,500 and another 4000 for extended warranty. If I ever wanted to get my phone to be serviced at local shop why would I ever pay Rs 4000 to Apple for extending warranty and support? I think I am being cheated either from service center or from Apple India. I believe Apple should not let their service people to dilute their image. I have both the receipts of service center. I kindly request you to look into this matter.

I was using Apple iPhone 4 since the phone was introduced. Last year when I upgraded the software to 7.1.2, the phone was no longer accepting my e-mail id and password. So I could not update applications nor download fresh applications. Then I thought restoring the phone to factory setting would resolve the issue. But to my utter surprise the phone stubbornly remained with Activation Lock screen without accepting my e-mail id and password. The phone had turned into a useless brick. When I used the same login id and password it was accepted on iCloud website. But when the phone was connected to iTunes the login id and passwords were not acceptable.
When I contacted the Apple customer service they demanded to produce the buying receipt for resolving activation issue. But I do not have the buying receipt as this phone is gifted by my daughter who is in US. They said they perfectly understood the problem but the company's policies have made them helpless. I told the customer service people that they had all the records in their server regarding me owning this phone so why do you need a buying receipt.
Now I am using this phone as paperweight at my desk. The Apple company is deliberately cheating and ditching their customers creating hurdles in the name of security. They are treating genuine users also as owners of stolen phones. The customer has to take care of the security issues. Here the company is shedding crocodile tears over security concerns as pretext to further their commercial interests. As I have found out in Google search there are thousands of iPhone owners affected by Activation Lock Screen issue.
Apple company is adopting devious methods to coax their fans to buy newly introduced devices turning old devices into bricks. iPhone customer service is useless. I have gone through many customer complaints against Apple and none of the complaints are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. Lesson learnt is "don't ever upgrade your iOS version". It may be a trap. Days are not far off when Apple will eventually meet the fate of Nokia and Blackberry if they pursue policies that adversely affect the loyalty of their customers.

However now after being a loyal user (often paying well above the market rate for products) I am seriously thinking about going elsewhere. I had to even use a "non Mac" this week for the first time in years as the basic functionality I needed in MS office did not work on a Mac!!! I would never have thought it could ever happen. Apple after spending years making their phones smaller went in the opposite direction and started making them bigger as in the iPhone 6?? I find the iPhone 4/5 to be perfect size for me. It was the only iPhone I refused to buy in fact I don't know anyone who bought one, gone were the days when you could see new iPhones days after they were released or you ordered one in advance.
I am sick of: The constant need to upgrade operating systems/bug fixes that are all huge files (on Macs, iPhones etc, it's endless) and often disable the devices for several hours. The interface and expertise just to play music that constantly changes when you upgrade to the latest music software!!! For an older person it was hard enough getting my head around iTunes compared to the ease of other systems then it changes AGAIN. Failing battery life, far quicker on some other manufactures phones that I have used. I also object to not being able to watch movies, TV shows I have already downloaded UNTIL I agree to the latest terms and conditions that suddenly appeared on my Apple TV. What if I didn't agree to the new T&Cs? Would Apple refund me the money for all the movies, music and TV shows I had bought previously??
Sorry Apple I have stuck by you from day one, I have lost count of the amount of phones I have bought (2 iPhones, 4 of 3G, 1 of 3Gs, 2 of iPhone 4, 3 of iPhone 5, and 2 iPhone 5S). Sure there are more in there somewhere as well as iPads, Apple TVs, Mac Books, Thunderbolt screens etc. Enough is enough. You need to get your focus back on your customers, stop upgrading with huge files (seems like weekly) that seem to only make the devices more focused on purchasing more music, movies, etc and not about making it easier to play/watch the items already purchased. You have lost customer focus and customers unless you get it back. Apple will be relegated to the history files in the not too distant future. You are coming across as bullies out to make a buck at the expense of service quality and I for one am spending too much of my day with problems with Apple products, updating, backing up etc!
Make your products last, not until the next product upgrade but as long as we need them for. Make your mind up. Are you making phones bigger or smaller? You charged a premium to make them smaller now you seem to be charging a premium to make them bigger! Enough of the endless upgrades to operating systems. Get your focus back on making using Apple products easy to use and NOT on making them easier to purchase new media from Apple and MORE difficult to use for media already purchased.
We have all probably moved away from Apple at some time over the years, I have but most migrate back as we get used to the Apple interfaces/menus, easy of use, even though the products we moved to were probably technically better. However those days are gone now. Get your house in order. The only complaint I used to have with Apple was "I would buy a new product, then you would come out with a newer version, the following week". Changed days.

This is my third iPhone, and Apple Genius bar always say there is water damage. I took great care this last time and still the phone was damaged in normal usage. Of course, there is no way to argue with them. They are god, and the choices are pretty consumer unfriendly. You can leave the phone with them, or you can buy a replacement phone for 325 dollars. Nice choice. Apple makes money off consumers, and it seems to me that they are just stiffing consumers for repairs or phone damage that is more likely due to poor design and or poor manufacturing. But there is of course no way to argue with God. Apple wins. I hate my Apple experience over and again.

I have been contacting Apple UK regarding my i5s. It overheats so much you can't touch it! It got that hot one time my partner picked it up because she didn't believe me and blistered her finger! I got a seven month old who grabs my phone like any other child may do. THIS GADGET IS NOT SAFE! At extreme temperatures it can melt or even worse battery may explode. And I'm sure like a lot of other people I use my phone a lot and now I feel afraid!! I watch movies on phone before I sleep and if it does melt or heat up to them blistering temps it could burn my face if I fall asleep.
For 6 days I've called, emailed and basically they said they want to capture my phone. This means this is a health hazard and a safety issue so they need to get it in. I agreed to senior advisors and they promised me a replacement phone. I have it in black and white! When I called back to find out how I'm gonna do this they then said to me that there is no replacement and I have to send it in and they will investigate so it doesn't occur to anyone else. Well where does that leave me?? You take my phone what I paid for and leave me with nothing. They call it procedure!!! Rubbish!! I'm heartbroken. I've been treated like a MUG! My first mobile was an iphone3 and I've stuck with Apple since. NEVER AGAIN. If your iPhone heats up REPORT IT ASAP. Not worth the risk!!!

LOVED my iPhone 5, but suddenly the battery started draining & I had to start charging it twice daily. Sometimes up to four times a day with little activity requiring lots of power. Took it into Apple Store. Agent ran diagnostics that showed battery strength was in the lower end of the green quadrant. The agent loaded the latest iOS version & turned down all "unnecessary" items & advise me to delete excess messages. During conversation, agent stated the introduction of iPhone 6 & iOS now makes the iPhone 5 "work harder & it depletes the battery faster so I might want to upgrade to an iPhone 6."
My response: "So you are telling me that I have little choice but to buy an iPhone 6." She immediately said, "Oh no, we would never make you buy an iPhone 6." I responded, "seems to me that if Apple made a conscious decision to not support iPhone 5's fully, what other choice does the consumer have?" I can understand Apple not fully supporting the early versions, but the iPhone 5, just a generation before? I have talked to other iPhone 5 owners who also have experienced the same necessity to recharging their phones multiple times a day. They are just as unhappy with Apple's lack of resolving the issue. We iPhone 5 owners didn't buy the iPhone 5 to have to spend our valuable time waiting for our phones that worked just fine (requiring no more than one charge per day after moderate use) before the iPhone 6 was launched into the market.

I recently purchased an iPhone 5s (splurged and shelled out the $100), after 4 days of ownership the phone stopped working. I was informed that I could only exchange a broken phone after 1 day of ownership and would have to contact Apple.com. Apple told me that I had two options... get my phone repaired (would take a few weeks) or they would replace the phone with a new one, but I would have to pay the $719 plus $29 for replacement service fee. So I got my new phone and returned the old one for analysis. I was told that they would possibly refund the $719 depending on what they found.
I just received an email telling me I won't be refunded because my phone was subjected to accidental damage or misuse. I only used it for maybe 1 hour in total and did nothing to damage it. My service provider checked it and told me there wasn't any water damage and weren't sure why it stopped working/charging. Also in the email I was told that I am eligible for out of warranty service so they charged me another $329 for this service fee. So now I have paid $1176 in total for two phones but only own one. I think this is outrageous. What else are they going to charge me for? I will never purchase another Apple product again with this type of customer service/rip-off...what a joke. My next phone will be a Samsung.

In only a matter of seconds it caught the bed, nightstand and curtains up as well. Luckily my wife wasn't there as she would have been even closer to it than me. Our home was totally destroyed! We also lost our Bulldog to this as I tried to go back in after him but couldn't find him. There is not enough info being told to the consumers about the dangers they can create. Apple refuses to provide reimbursement for a product more than 14 days after it has been purchased.
I have an iPad that's more than 3 years old and it works many times better than the iPhone I've used only a few times, but its memory is gobbled up by a small number of photos. My daughter received an iPhone 6 for Christmas. 2 weeks ago it gave her a blue screen. Won't turn on, won't do anything and it was fully charged when happened. We called Apple. Went through all the steps to fix it with them. They tell us it can't be fixed and will send us a new one. We paid 30.00 to have it overnighted as that is the only phone my daughter has and she uses it for work. She received a FedEx email saying an attempt to deliver had been made and to pick up at facility. When she arrived to pick it up the FedEx manager calls her aside and tells her the box had been tampered with and there was no phone in the box. She never signed for it or anything. FedEx gave her copy of the box and told her it happens a lot and to call Apple that they would know what to do.
We call Apple after 2 hours on the phone we are told they need to investigate and they will get back with her in a week. I asked "can't you just send her a replacement phone as she has no phone to use?" They said "yes for 800.00." After a week they call her but the case hasn't been resolved. They are still giving us the runaround and she still has no phone. I asked why she can't be sent a phone since she never received the first one and we were told again "we can but you will be charged for the phone we can't find and the new one." So 1600 and would receive 800 credit when her phone that doesn't work got back to them but we would still have to pay for lost one. Makes no sense and she is still without a phone. So now we are going through our carrier to replace phone under the insurance and will have to pay a 150.00 deductible for a 6 month old phone.

I spoke with very nice and helpful people one named ** and he was awesome! Sadly though it looks as if my phone has a hardware issue which looks to be very common online with a lot of other users. It flashes constantly in reboot mode and won't reset in iTunes. I told Apple tech I do not mind paying for the cracked screen which is 109 dollars but they're saying it might be a full replacement price and do not want to stand up for the fact that it is their hardware issue.
It is pretty obvious that it has been happening to numerous people with iPhones and not having any screen damage or anything. I have been using apple for so many years. I'm typing on my macbook now, I have several iPods including the 1st gen all the way to the newest model, and have an iPad and I've always loved iPhone's over samsung. Just very disappointing to have a solution not being resolved properly. My money and support for Apple is most likely going elsewhere. On 13th May 2015 I took my phone back to them as again it would not charge. Whilst it was still under warranty I asked them to check it out for me in their workshop that they use.
On Sunday 24th May 2015 (this week) I got a call to say that there was a problem with the charging unit in the actual phone and they said it had been damaged. To my horror and disbelief they then went on to tell me that because they said it had been damaged that it would not be covered under the warranty and to repair it they wanted 1300 QRs! I am a 45 year woman and I certainly do not make a habit of damaging my stuff!
I said to them that I really am not happy with what they have reported and to give me the phone back, they said they would call me to collect it (but I am still waiting for the call). This dreadful experience has put me off buying Apple products and I have now had to buy a Samsung phone. I really hope that this can be reviewed and I really would like some advice on what to do next. Thank you.

DiGi committed to replace a new iPhone to me. Sadly, the complaint make on 1st week of April and now almost 2 months, I still not yet get back my new replacement phone. DiGi claim that Apple not allocate sufficient stock to them. I'm not sure how true is it.
My understanding was I only have 1 year warranty, due to the delay of replacement iPhone, indirectly I only enjoy 10 months of warranty instead of 1 year. Is it fair to your loyal customer. I leave for an hour, come back they say it has liquid damage and they want to charge me $349 for a new phone. I come home look on Google and see this is a common problem and the pins holding the screen comes loose. Mind you the phone works fine the screen is just loose. Obviously this is a pin failure. They can't give me a new pin or anything even under warranty? No because they say there is liquid damage and yet the phone works fine. It is mind boggling isn't it.
The guy at Apple also says he isn't aware of any trouble with screens popping out. Really!!! You would think with all the tech at an Apple store they could Google the issue and see there are thousands out there talking about it. Had two iPhone 4 phones covered under AppleCare. Store was useless to repair them so I 'escalated' to their executive relations (ER) department multiple times. The first ER person requested the store replace one of two phones with a replacement and instructed me to not apply any updates (e.g. iOS 7) to the phones as Apple was aware of issues with iOS7 and iPhone 4 models. The other phone wasn't replaced despite it repeatedly freezing and five months of requests and demands were required to get a simple replacement for it however the replacement phone had iOS7 which caused constant crashes and was almost unusable.
Three more escalations later I was asked to spend my time performing tests on out-of-the-box iPhone 4 phones in the store in the presence of trained technicians. Result - even with no third party apps loaded Safari was crashing 80+% of the time webpages (some were just text documents on public websites like Gutenburg Project) were accessed - all with debug logs showing the devices were running out of memory. Apple Engineering, Apple Store techs and the Apple Store manager all stated explicitly there must be a code bug in iOS7 that was causing the issue and stated it would be escalated to the iOS developers but one particular Executive Relations rep stepped in issuing threats to all of them if they assisted me further and told me my phones 'were working perfectly'. When I asked them for a statement from them that the 80+% failure rare was their definition of 'working perfectly' they refused.
The Apple Store manager apologized offline and stated that 'the only way to fix it would be to get a new phone' and he could not help me. Two complaints were filed with the two Attorneys General offices (one in my state, one in California) and a different Apple Executive Relations rep responded to each with letters agreeing to fix any issues with the phones only to have the original ER rep again tell the Apple Store to refuse any service to me or anyone else on the phones. Effectively they took in two phones for repair and by replacing them with phones running iOS7 damaged the devices and refused to load iOS6 I had on the original phones despite the application failures, hundreds of debug logs and dozens of hours of time demanded by Apple to even begin to look at the problem caused by their own actions.
iOS7 was shown clearly causing these issues to multiple parties using a test Apple Engineering themselves devised and requested be performed in their store with their own train technicians as verifiers. It should be pointed out the Executive Relations PoC was in my opinion incredibly unprofessional with not only the customer but Apple's own support personnel (both Engineering and customer-facing store employees). Taking months to fix what is covered under warranty and wasting copious amounts of a customer's free time is bad enough but handing me back broken crap versus working devices is beyond unethical. Ultimately the devices had to be replaced at significant cost by non-Apple devices that have successfully performed the same tests without failure.

SEQUENCE OF EVENTS. November 17, 2014: I purchased a brand new iPhone 6 Space Gray 64 GB from iCenter at SM City Davao (Banana Telecommunications, Inc.) with a light leakage defect that I thought was minor and so I ignored. December 27: my iPhone did not charge and so I went to iFix on December 29 to complain. I let go of my complaint because iFix needed to take my phone for observation. iFix said that next time, I should take a video of my issue to prove that indeed, it did not charge.
February 19, 2015: my iPhone did not charge again. So the issue is intermittent charging and so I again went to iFix on February 21. Despite the fact that I already had a video, they still maintained that they needed to see the problem themselves. I insisted to no avail. And to my desperation, I also showed the light leakage defect. This time, iFix said that the light leakage warrants replacement. I had to wait 4-6 weeks as the phone would come from Apple Singapore. I was not informed that the replacement would only be a refurbished phone. I was informed that I was to be given a brand new phone.
March 27: the replacement phone arrived. iFix messaged me that I needed to get the phone within 24 hours, which is very inconvenient. I had to take a leave from work in Pindasan, Mabini, Compostela Valley Province, which is 75km from Davao City, to be in Davao by March 28. The replacement phone had several defects. I would later on learn that the replacement phone is only refurbished. iFix never mentioned that the phone is refurbished. It was only through Apple Singapore that I learned that they only send out refurbished phones as replacements. The defects are: (a) TWO black paint marks on the upper left corner of the phone; (b) ONE scratch between the headphone jack and the charging port; (c) TWO dents in the charging port.
I insisted a brand new replacement ASAP. After waiting for 5 weeks, I can't wait 5 weeks more. It's just too much. I gave them two options to be done in ONE WEEK: give me a brand new phone or give me a refund. However, iFix maintained that they can't do anything about it as they only process orders. What they can offer is that the phone be replaced and there's no assurance that I be provided a brand new phone. Therefore, the second phone replacement will most likely still have scratches and dents and I had to wait another 3 to 6 weeks. For clarification, the 3 weeks time frame is not realistic because I received my first replacement in 5 weeks. Given this solution, I'd be waiting 10 long weeks.
They said I had to call Apple Singapore to request for a brand new phone, which adds up to the frustration. Why cant iFix handle this? I purchased the phone from iCenter. I had to go to iFix for repairs and replacements. And now, since iFix can't handle it, I'll have to contact Apple Singapore. I was sent to several places. And to think, when I purchased the phone from iCenter, they were very proud to tell me that unlike other stores, their stores authorized service provider is just in Davao City. People who purchase from other stores will need to have their units shipped to Manila for service. But in my case, yes, I wouldn't have to deal with Manila, but Id have to deal with Singapore for proper service.
March 30, 2015: I called Apple Singapore. I confirmed that indeed, the replacement phone is refurbished. It is actually their standard operating procedure. All replacements will only be refurbished. To me, it is imperative that they provide a brand new phone. The phone I got had factory defects (light leakage and intermittent charging), which should have been caught by Quality Control. It shouldn't have been sold in the first place. But since I'm the unlucky guy who purchased the defective phone, I only get replaced with a refurbished, AKA second hand, phone. This, I firmly believe, is extremely unfair, especially that I took care of my phone very well. I used an Otterbox case plus a screen protector. Trust me, Otterbox cases aren't cheap. They protected my phone extremely well.
I had to make several phone calls to get to Tier 2 customer support. I explained everything to ** of Apple. I still gave the two options (replace with a brand new unit or refund; both in one week's time). She had to investigate and request approval for a brand new phone. I'm glad that after all the justifications I gave, approval was granted. But I had to ship the defective unit back to Singapore and only then will they process shipping me a brand new phone. This is yet another frustrating process.
April 1: ** called me up saying that she found a way to ship the brand new unit without me needing to ship out the old unit. iFix just needed to cancel my case and then they'll ship the brand new unit. And since it's the Holy Week, the cancellation will be done on April 6. And I was informed by ** that I should get my iPhone by April 11 or earlier. April 6: I called up iFix to ask if they've done cancellation of my case already. I was informed that they're speaking with ** already and they're cancelling the case already. April 7 & April 8: I followed up with ** via email, but no response.
April 10: since it's difficult for me to call up Apple Singapore again, I called up iFix. This time, I learned that they had a system error regarding cancellation and that my iPhone replacement is still pending. It needs to be resolved before they can ship me the brand new phone. They can't provide a timeline. I was very frustrated. After my conversation with iFix, ** replied to my emails stating the issue. April 14: I reported everything that happened to DTI.
April 15: ** of Apple Singapore called me up to get information on my shipping address. She mentioned that she is already preparing my phone to be shipped out. And she gave me the following information: (a) the unit will be shipped within 2 to 3 business days, depending upon the availability of the unit; (b) she cannot provide a timeline as to when it will arrive. I was very frustrated because ** said the phone will arrive on or before April 11. And now, ** is telling me she can't provide a timeline. ** lied to me. Even to-date, I still do not have my iPhone. ** for sure just wanted me to choose replacement because they do not want to issue a refund. And for me to accept replacement, she had to lie as to the timeline of when the unit will arrive.
April 16: Apple sent an email that the order has been made and will ship soon. I forwarded this email to ** complaining about her not telling the truth about the arrival of my unit. She has never replied to me since. She only sent one email message in total. April 17: Apple sent an email that the order has shipped, giving me the tracking number.
April 22: the Mediation Meeting at the Department of Trade and Industry took place. The people who were there were representatives of iCenter and iFix. iCenter and iFix maintained that they no longer have responsibility and accountability regarding my request for a brand new phone. They refuse to help me in any way. Should I want to pursue this complaint, I should complain to Apple Singapore, which is unfair. They cannot provide a service unit, nor can they compensate for all the lies, the numerous delays, and the hassles that I experienced regarding this purchase. They maintain that Apple Singapore is at fault and I should pursue Apple Singapore instead.
I purchased the unit from iCenter, who was very proud to state that their authorized service provider is just close by. They even mentioned that it's better to buy from them than from Globe Telecom, PowerMac Center or other Apple re-sellers because with those re-sellers, in case I needed service repair or replacement, I'd have to ship my unit to Manila as they don't have authorized service providers in Davao City. An issue with my iPhone came and I had to go to iFix. But iFix can only provide me a second hand iPhone and wanted me to wait another 5 weeks. I demanded a refund or replacement within one week, but they cannot provide. Their only option is to replace. I was referred to Apple Singapore.
I demanded from Apple Singapore refund or replacement within more than a week. We discussed that the brand new phone would arrive by April 11, 2015. However, it never happened. They should have refunded me already, but no, they made me wait. At the time of this writing, April 26, 2015, the tracking number still shows that the phone was only just picked up by DHL last April 16, 2015 and its still in Singapore. No movement after that. As much as I want to understand Apple for these glitches and issues they are having; and as much as I really appreciate the efforts of the Apple representatives, it is already too much for me. Enough is enough. I cannot always understand. They should understand me too. They have really tested my patience on this one.
It is very frustrating that Apple made me wait for 5 long weeks, only to get a refurbished phone with numerous defects that came all the way from Singapore. And as of today, its been already over 9 weeks since the time I left my iPhone with them. I firmly believe that it is not enough that Apple provide me the brand new replacement AT THEIR OWN CONVENIENCE. There should be just compensation for all the hassles and the frustrations they made me experience.
The life of an iPhone here in the Philippines, is only 10 months. The iPhone 6 was launched in September 2014 in the US. It only arrived in November 2015 in the Philippines. The new iPhone (6s) will be launched in the US in September 2015. And Apple already took away 9 weeks from me, with no extra phone to provide. Its 9 weeks AND COUNTING. Here are the frustrations I had as I do not have my iPhone 6 yet:
I purchased several apps from the App Store that I used in my iPhone 6. Most of these apps, I can no longer use because I don't have my iPhone 6. I don't want to transfer some apps to my iPhone 4 or 3G because these two phones are slower. Moreover, some apps just can't be transferred due to compatibility issues. Apple also makes limits as to how many devices can use a purchased app. I purchased a Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth headset from the United States. It's a very expensive headset that I cannot use without my iPhone 6 because my iPhone 3G is not compatible with it.
My iPhone 6 is 64 GB while my iPhone 4 and 3G are 16 GB and 8 GB respectively. I couldn't even check the files on my iPhone 6 now because I cannot reformat my older phones to correspond with the iPhone 6. How can I replicate the files from a 64 GB unit to a 16 GB or 8 GB unit? Impossible. Imagine the frustration of seeing many people around me using their iPhone 6s while I only get to use my iPhone 4 and 3G. And take note, I purchased the iPhone very shortly after launch in the Philippines. I paid full price at Php42,990 (roughly US $955) and for I am not able to utilize the device for such a very long time.

Hi! About 4 months ago I bought an iPhone 6 in Miami and was told that it was unlocked. I live in Brazil so I should have no problem using it. But after a month with it here in Brazil, it decided to lock and stop working. It was searching for signal and never stopped. So I went to an authorized store here in Brazil and they said they could only exchange my phone on the US. (Where's that world wide guarantee again?) Anyway, so I went to New York and changed it an Apple store. But they gave me a phone that supposedly was new but wouldn't turn on, and I only discovered this a few days later because I didn't even use it. So I went back to the store and was told that I had an old phone with water inside and no one would change it for me. I never even used the phone how can it have water inside? So they did not change my phone, and I have none anymore. Apple, I expected more from you.

Then I had submitted my phone over their service station-- name is B2X service solutions India pvt ltd. First they said that you'll get replacement but after a week now they are saying that they found some moisture into the phone. Because of that they can't replace this phone. There was no moisture-- nothing on it. Then I called to Apple customer care there. Also it happened the same thing. I am genuine apple user. Brazilian resident, I exchanged my old Iphone 5S for a new unblocked Iphone 6 Plus for approximately U$500. To start, the battery life was considerable shorter (especially with some apps open) and the Iphone 6 Plus BENDS if you leave it in your back pocket when sitting for longer periods of time. The worse, it was supposed to be more robust. On the contrary, it's extremely fragile. I dropped from a 1 meter height (3.3 feet) and the front panel was completely damaged/crushed. Went to the Apple store in Brazil who wanted to charge me also $456 (R$1.400) to repair/replace it. Took it to an Apple Store in London/UK and they wanted to charge me $364 (GBP249,00) to repair/replace it. Not only, the quality of this new Iphone 6 Plus is poor - but now Apple want to charge ridiculous high fees to repair an Iphone. Do not recommend this product to anyone.

Having purchased each of Apple's iPhone models up to and including the iPhone 4S I'd have to say each model has not only been increasingly good from a form factor point of view, but the upgrade process (migrating contacts and bookmarks and such) has become smoother, faster and just plain... easy. Over the air upgrades are a welcome addition. I just wish Apple would finally get into the network business and show the world how a phone network should be run.

Constantly having to buy and replace my USB lightning cable charger for my phone. Literally it hasn't been a full year since I purchased apples iphone5s and I'm constantly having to replace the charger cable. This last one I purchased only lasted 2-3 months. This will be the 6th one I've had to purchase due to them shorting out then not working. Its like $20 or more apple is charging for a simple USB charger cable which is ridiculous in the 1st place for a product that breaks.
Then most phones can use a universal USB cable and there's more of a selection to choose from including price selection. But due to compatibility issues the iPhone can only safely use apple products with other apple products. So consumers are forced to purchase only apple products limiting them further. I want to believe you get what you pay for and that sometimes quality comes at a higher price depending on the product but as far as the apple iphone USB lightning cable is concerned - quality doesn't exist. The money i've wasted is an unfair loss and I'm very unsatisfied with apple.

Took my iPhone 5 in for a power issue. The phone had quit working after plugging in to bump up the battery from about 45%. First of all it took me a week to find the extra 3 hrs. to where I could even be scheduled as a walk-in. I dropped the phone off after they showed me my new phone. I was told they would have to inspect the phone in the back of the store. Very shady, like some type of mechanic hustling. They took the phone to the back to open and check. After 1/2 hour I returned to get my new phone. I was shown a picture saying I had water damage. My phone had the life-proof case and it had not been anywhere near the H2O since the first week I had made the purchase. The photo showed all three H2O sensors activated.
I know I was hustled and will return to speak with a manager to pursue the case further. Do they have a guy in the back spraying them down? I have 40 days left on my warranty, they said I could purchase a new one for $269. Of course I can Apple, or you can just be more honest and stop trying to swindle. I would be interested to find some type of numbers on water damage that they claim. I guess it is my truth against the machine though.

I had my iPhone 6 less than a week and I placed my phone on a desk top in which the screen shattered. Now this isn't something that shouldn't happen and the phone should be more durable than that so I can only assume my product was of poor quality. I went to the apple store and they refused to do anything for me unless I paid. So I had no choice but to pay £80 to get the phone fixed. I then complained to an advisor and stated that under the sales of goods act the product should be durable and fit for purpose after a while he denied I had any consumer rights in this case as I would lose more money trying to claim the money through court so there was no point, he continued to argue and shouted at me to the point I was reduced to tears.
I complained about this matter to another advisor, did they do anything about it? No. Did they even apologize that I was spoken to in such a way? No. So because I'm a petty little consumer that had an unlucky pick of the bunch and ended up with a poor quality phone, with not enough funds to take it to court they couldn't care less about it. So now I am back for the 6 since Apple finally got smart and knew people wanted larger phones (Great market research to take 3 years to find that out). This thing is half baked - Screen, Meh ... No better than the S5 or other phones, Camera - LG blows it away, speed and apps - Par with any Android I use - Lack of some Android features is still annoying or even Windows phones with Live Tiles - and still, WHY do I have to use iTunes, I just want to copy a damn MP3 or Movie over! Can't play 90% of the movies I create since it's not the Apple Format. Oh, and think you're secure? Think again - I wrote my Masters paper on iPhone hacking - not had at all to get into one, and even easier if you leave your backups on your PC, which iTunes does by default.
So point - Not a fan, going back to Android when the S6 comes out, or some other phone this summer. It may be good for some people, but there is a reason that the WORLD market share is 80% Android - the US Market is almost 50/50 iOS / Android - The US people are more BIAS to products they use, they tend to get defensive if you pick on something they buy.

My husband and I purchased our iPhone 5's in 2012. Right from the start I had battery issues.... the phone over heating, would not continually charge on the lightning cable, and losing full power within a few hours. I consulted the "geniuses" at our Apple store multiple times and was told that my phone was fine, that I just didn't understand how to properly allow it to charge and fully run down the battery. Following all their advice, it still didn't work properly, but I was never offered a replacement battery and then before I knew it my warranty was up.
The same thing happened with the numerous lightning cables we purchased, within a few short months they would bend and no longer work. Again the "geniuses" blamed us, stating that we were simply too rough with the cords even though we treated these cables with kid gloves, yet they constantly broke. We finally purchased a certified Belkin charger that worked great and shockingly didn't break after months of regular use between two phones.
Now after IOS8 has rendered my iPhone completely useless (including no longer allowing our certified Belkin charger to charge our phones), I find out, via a friend's Facebook post that my iPhone battery was recalled. Thankfully I still have a few weeks before the offer for a new battery expires, but why wasn't I notified of this recall? What is the point of registering a product if we are not being notified of recalls?
I'm so happy our contract is up and we can research alternative phone brands. I can't see myself going back to a company that manipulates its customers into a phone upgrade every 2 years via crappy iOS updates. Updates should make a phone better, not damage it! Apple geniuses need to be better trained at dealing with situations instead of blaming the customer. I really feel we should be compensated for the last 2 years of constant headaches from these phone. Worst customer service I have ever experienced!

My new phone which had a DualTek case (military and sometimes outranks the Otterbox) and a $40 protective tempered glass screen protector, dropped 8 inches onto my granite countertop. The screen fractured on my 3-week old phone. I'm a gentle user, but have had drops before and never had a broken screen. In this situation I felt the screen broke far too easily. I thought, I'll call and they'll take care of it...something must be defective.
Long story short, I've called twice now and had extensive talks, supervisors brought in and on each call - "sorry, but this is not our fault and maybe you should call DualTek or Gadget Guard". By the way, the protective tempered glass is in perfect condition, not a single fracture and it's much thinner. I was hung up on, on the first call by the supervisor...Ali...it was actually an online chat. On the second call, I was talked over by a gentleman who kept calling me Dorothy and said I purchased my phone in September even though I didn't even get my phone until latter-November (ordered 10/30). Anyway I still was having some problems and about 2 weeks later he saw the 8.1 upgrade. So he upgraded my phone to it. Anyway I still was having problems. Past few days later I fell and my phone flew out of my hand and the glass cracked. My phone was still working with the prior problems even though the glass was broke. Since I was still having problems I decided to go to the iPhone store. I cannot turn off the dial sounds when the phone "keys" are pressed. My iPhone 4S worked fine for emergencies before the updates. After updates, my phone made sounds when dialing keys are pressed. It is a safety concern for me because I actually use my iphone as a "real" phone for emergencies. I contacted Apple. The dial noises can not be turned off: I have adjust the volume down. I am told that even iphone 6 does this. This is an extra step that makes dialing out in an emergency more risky. If I need to dial "911"in an emergency, I need to do it quietly as to not increase the aggression of the person that is agitated. Apple needs to remember that are actually selling "phones."

He was not only completely rude, but even refused to accept the fact the apple was at fault and told me "I should have checked my phone for being unlocked before traveling." Please advise if this is valid point given that I paid for an unlocked phone. I felt compelled to write this letter to express my disappointment in your recent performance and the reliability of your products. I've been an Apple fan for years. However, your recent actions have made me reconsider my devotion to your products.
I bought a MacBook Pro in 2011 and I enjoyed it. However, I had a complete hard drive failure; this is after having this laptop for three years. I did a little research online and asking various technicians and found out that hard drives should not fail after three years. One tech who owns his own shop and is Apple certified told me that the industry standard according to use is about 20,000 hours.
Another problem I encountered with Apple is visiting a store, which is very frustrating. By that, I mean that it's impossible to get an answer or a solution to your problem. If I have a question, I can not get an answer and I am referred to the Genius Bar, just for a basic question. And your employees are not helpful at all, that means they don't know much about your products.
I applied for employment and was interviewed twice and was scheduled for a third interview with the store leader. This store leader cancelled my third interview two times due to him being unavailable. After that, I never heard from anybody from this store. I went to the store and talked with a manager and he told me that he will email the store leader and set up a third interview. The next day I received an email telling me that they found someone else.
I have always been a fan of Apple. However, the last few years I have lost faith in your products and your treatment of me is unacceptable. Another example of my frustration with Apple is the unavailability of your new iPhone. I have been waiting for a larger iPhone for years and finally Apple comes out with the 6. The problem now is that I have been placed on a waiting list by my carrier because of the back order; I've been waiting for a month. You know that this product is going to be a big seller but you don't make enough to satisfy demand?
I don't buy my products from the Apple store and I will not in the future. I know you still get the money, but the place I bought my Mac from the salesperson spent time with me and showed me a few things I didn't know. This would never happen at the Apple store. My treatment as a perspective employee was unacceptable. Train your employees to answer basic questions. Build your products to last like they use to. And make enough of your products to satisfy demand.
Apple has lost its way. Don't listen to the shareholders, listen to the people. Stop the arrogance and the greed. If you make good products and enough of them, train your employees the right way, then you will make money. I know Apple will blow me off so I am going to put this letter out there and see if others share have experience the same treatment.

I was on the phone with Apple tech support for a week straight, going from person to person, with no solutions from anyone. I finally had to do a full restore. I lost all my text messages and a bunch of pics from my photos. After the full restore and a couple more resets of networks settings and calls to tech support, I got my phone working. However, my phone's battery life has been cut in half.
Also, internet speeds on LTE as well as WiFi have been cut in half. And forget about 3G, it won't even load my emails. I came to the Apple platform to get away from these types of issues, to have my computer and phone auto sync seamlessly. You cannot be so stupid as to unknowingly release flawed updates. It even happened at Machu Picchu and this was my only camera. I couldn't return the phone because I was traveling and by the time I returned home it was no longer under warranty. However Apple will replace these components on the phone. They expect me to drop it off and pick it up and go without a phone for however long it takes to be fixed.
It is so unfair. Very disappointed with this product. I have been a loyal apple customer since I was 25. NO MORE. I miss Steve Jobs; oh how I miss good old Apple! Gone are the days when buying an Apple product was synonymous with high tech, safety and peace of mind, when buying an Apple product meant being sure we were acquiring the very best the market had to offer. Although I have used only Apple products since 2004 (MacBook, iPhone, iPad and iPod), throughout these past two years this is the second time I feel the need to share traumatic experiences with this company, which was once a reference for satisfaction.
The recall initiated on the 29th of August 2014 acknowledges that a good part of the iPhone 5 available in September 2012, including my own (Serial N. **) which I bought while on a trip to the USA since it was then not yet available in Brazil, came with a serious battery issue. For nearly two years, I was stuck with a barely mobile smartphone, a problem caused by its constant reliance on a charger. The only solution to regain mobility was the use of a case-battery, which, however, besides the discomfort of doubling the weight / size of the device, felt like fire in my pocket from the overheating it caused.
Disappointed, I contemplated the idea that the iPhone 5 would be an underdog, the worst equipment produced by Apple. Technical assistance was sought on several occasions, however no problems with the phone were ever detected. Surprisingly, a note on the Diario de Pernambuco rekindled lost hopes in company. The note brought a recall for iPhone 5, and a link to the list of the devices included in the call.
I was sure I'd be a part of this group so I promptly checked the web address for the support and confirmed then that my iPhone indeed presented a defect recognized by the manufacturer. However, after contacting Apple I came to realize that instead of offering a reward for what I had put up with or even a solution to the problem, what the prestigious company offered was nothing more then a workaround: change the battery!
So basically, in September of 2012 I paid for a latest generation device, for two years I was unable to get a full use off it, and now they suggest changing the battery? So much for the expenses I had in trying to keep my phone from dying, never mind the risks I took in using a device that was constantly overheating and the damage the temperature spikes most likely caused in several other functions of the smartphone.
Apple hasn't even offered to exchange the defective phone for a new unit of the same make/model, which would be the bare minimum and is at least customary, instead it offered to change the battery on my phone. It took my money two years ago, gave me an aberration of a phone and now offers me a workaround. The fact is that an overheated can lead to a shortened phone life compared to other iPhone, which does not present this problem.

I am very upset and disappointed with Apple. I WAS a loyal Apple customer, but this is no longer the case. First, I bought my iphone 5 in January 2012 and have had trouble with the battery staying charged after a few months of having the phone. I recently heard about the battery replacement program and I scheduled an appointment at an Apple Store to get my battery replaced. I do not live anywhere near an Apple Store, so I made my appointment and drove 2 hours to get the battery in my phone replaced.
When I got there the "Genius" told me they did not have any more batteries in stock and I would have to come back. I told him I lived 2 hours away and he was EXTREMELY RUDE and told me, "Well that does not change the fact that I still don't have any batteries available". Apple has NO REGARD for their customers if it does not matter to them that a customer can make an appointment, drive 2 hours to get a phone fixed, and leave the store with the issue not being resolved. I was told by this "Genius" to call Apple Care and they will send me a replacement phone while I send in my iphone to get fixed.
So, today I called Apple Care and was told that I can only get a replacement phone from my Apple retail store. I worked with a service rep and he told me that the only options I have are to go back to the Apple Store and get it fixed or send my iphone in (without a replacement) and they will fix it but it will take about a week, (so I would be without a phone for a week) THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
Apple is NOT doing anything to help me get the battery replaced... a battery that THEY made faulty! I AM SO OVER APPLE! Meanwhile, I still have a crappy iphone that can't keep a charged battery. If Apple wants to keep me as a customer you better find a way to make this situation better. I was a loyal customer for many years and will no longer be buying Apple products if you do not do something to rectify this situation. You can also be sure that I will be posting this wherever and however I can to let people know how Apple DOES NOT help their customers.

This is more of a statement than a question... I had an iPhone 5 die eight (8) days out of warranty. It was the infamous blank screen/ding every four seconds issue. I brought the phone to Apple and I was told it was OW, it required a screen replacement, and it would cost $149, and I would be "good as new. " I didn't have the funds at the time and was told that whenever I wanted to bring it back, they would repair the phone and warranty it for ninety (90) days afterwards.
After some research, I have found that this tends to happen to a large number of iPhone 5s (I do not know about iPhone 5S's) where there is a problem with the graphics "coil" or diode, or something like that. Being that this is actually not a screen issue, but rather a phone motherboard issue, I didn't want to take the chance and start letting some mall kiosk dude tear into my phone when Apple said they would "fix my phone" for $149. Even though I was a little irritated that after having purchased several Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, MacBook & MacBook Pro) I wasn't extended a courtesy, loyal customer SOMETHING other than "too bad, out of warranty."
Before I get blasted by everyone, I understand that I didn't purchase AppleCare (my last three iPhones were through AT&T), and after all it WAS out of warranty. Fine. No big deal. Apple is a business, not a charity (much more so after the loss of Jobs, unfortunately).
So I return to the Apple store to fix my iPhone 5 (I was so frustrated with the speed of the old standby iPhone 4 and I'm not an indian giver for my daughter's iPhone 5) after saving up the $149 for the repair. After verifying all of the internal parts were "original," I signed on their iPad (which was an iPad2 which made me chuckle because I was so used to the retina display on my iPad3, to which the employee told me the 2 and the 3 were identical displays... another chuckle). It wasn't until THEN that I was told, "Just so you know, if it's not the screen, we will give you a replacement but it will cost $269." Knowing my luck, and my research, guess what... it was the "graphics processing unit (motherboard)" so I would need a new phone. I then inquired about any physical damage to the inside "motherboard" and the tech told me there are no signs of damage, that "it looks like a manufacturing defect," and that I should call AppleCare about further options since their hands were tied because of the out-of-warranty status.
Fast forward, I called AppleCare, was basically told, "I understand your frustration... [blah blah blah]... but there were no other options other than to try to contact the cell carrier for possible replacements," and then began to be lectured about, "from consumer to consumer, I should be a little more knowledgeable about the warranty information." WHAT?!? I told the gentleman that I was going on what I was told by the APPLE EMPLOYEE, not the warranty status. I wasn't complaining about a warranty fix, I was complaining about an OUT OF WARRANTY fix that I was quoted ("to fix my phone"), returned to have it done, and now was told it was conditional, and was going to cost double.
So I re-capped to AppleCare..."OOW by eight days, loyal Apple fanboy, not due to physical damage, was told $149 would fix my phone, and we can't help you, go to your carrier, next time I should know the warranty better." Yep. And that sealed the deal. Apple promptly deleted my complaint on their "Apple Communities" forum as it was posted, so that speaks VOLUMES.

I recommend buying a case to keep the screen from cracking - while my Androids were a little sturdier, these are delicate phones and notorious for breaking. But don't let that take away from how user-friendly and reliable the iPhone is. I'm a happy customer. Definitely my favorite phone. If it can survive three more months, it will have a better lifespan than my Androids! So far, so good.
Things that are notably better for me:- Voice dictation is clearer and more accurate.
- Apps are more reliable and do not crash.
- Battery life is great (just be sure to charge to 100% before you unplug to make the most of the battery life).
- Reception and clarity are great.

I will never go with Apple again. The first phone I has a 3g, when I tried to upgrade to new OS, it went blank and Apple guys told me it's defective and nothing can be done, so I BOUGHT a refurbished 3gs from them. I used it for less than a month and then went on maternity leave. After 4 months that phone also went dark and would not turn on. My warranty on it had finished by then. I was angry! Finally signed an agreement with sprint and got the newest model of iPhone 5, thought that this would be just fine now.
It worked well for a 1.5 yrs and then one fine day, its "switching off screen" capability went away. Reached apple store and they said, that this cannot be fixed, it's a manufacturing default and since I AM NO LONGER IN MY 1 YEAR WARRANTY TIME, they will not replace it and I should buy a refurbished phone! This iPhone works but it does not shut down at all. There is a lengthy way to turn it off. I cannot leave a greeting message on my phone. People cannot leave voice messages. It just does things on its own. Am waiting for my contract to be over with sprint so I can shift to some other NON APPLE product. Apple phones have been so bad for me. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Daughter said IPhone 4S was having problems with sound, battery and charging. Took to Apple store and was told OS is having major problems. I don't know what upgrade she has. Then they looked at the liquid indicator and said liquid damage. Voided warranty. The phone has never seen liquid, EVER! He took the phone to the back. Said he opened it and the charger contacts had slight corrosion. What? Told there's nothing he could do. Why did Apple put the liquid indicator in an exposed place like the charger port?
They know even slight humidity from a bathroom or such will turn it pink. Then they can deny warranty. Bad OS, but no solution. He also said the phone must be turned off daily to prevent possible OS problems. What? Apple is terrible. They are scamming! I hope I can convince my daughter to follow my lead and get a windows phone. I don't have any problems. Come on Apple! Hey Microsoft, Get the features of IPhone, keep building good phones-Nokia and you can pull consumers over your way.

Since we lost all of our photographs, we made numerous trips to the Corporate Apple store locally without success. The following letter was then sent to Apple, Inc.in November 2013 followed by a couple of reminders but Apple's management did not even care to acknowledge - let alone do anything. We are now contemplating a legal action in the small claims court. Apple's arrogance and lack of customer care are horrible. I can be directly contacted with your comments. Thank you.
"Dear Mr. Cook and Members of the Apple Board of Directors,
I write to give you a vivid description of the failed Apple technology, inability of your technical staff to resolve the issue, and the arrogant and often condescending interaction of your employees in the store and with an individual at the Corporate Office. Please note that I am not just one dissatisfied and extremely frustrated customer as my research will show that there are many more with similar issues. I hope that you will find a reasonable solution to avoid any further deterioration and damage to Apple's hard-earned distinction for its technology and innovation.
The old and the new: The genius of Apple's founder Steve Jobs, a charismatic and focused product innovator and a strong believer in holding people responsible and accountable, created so many technical marvels in his short life span. However, Apple's new leadership appears to have do nothing attitude and living on his laurels and legacy. Hardly any innovation is coming out of Apple's doors and whatever is coming in the marketplace is plagued with problems. Take the example of i5 phones, a re-engineered phone at best, which has its battery heating up and needing frequent charging; its new navigation system is not very accurate; its power button and home button not working; phones often refusing to connect with Wi-Fi at all; sometimes dropping the connection, and extremely low signal strength even standing right next to the router, just to name a few. We are the victims of some of the same problems (see the log).
What Apple has done? Its new generation of geniuses (people like Jon, Kyle, Justin, Sam, et al) in the local Apple store chose to disown and disregard the problem with Apple's hardware; made every effort to blame someone else; and gave us the runaround so we will just go away. Finally, when I pushed the envelope to the corporate office, the individual assigned to problem solve did not do any better. She went on the defensive; twisted the facts; refused to share the transcript of our very first conversation with Apple Care technician when the photographs were not saved? (Never recovered to-date); and resorted to the undocumented Apple's policy not to respond in writing. She essentially followed the mantra of do nothing except a band aid approach at best.
When I asked to speak to her supervisor, I was told in no uncertain terms that she is it and nothing more can be done. Her arrogance and intimidating tactics made it worse. I wonder what Mr. Jobs will make of our trials and tribulations resulting from the loss of photos from the most sophisticated i5 of the modern times, and our frustration with Apple's customer service. Would he laugh at us for an abiding faith in his innovation, technology, and customer care or would he first seek the answers from within why, what and who failed? I surmise that he would first want to learn from this failure of i5 technology. How and why about 700 pictures are lost; were these not stored in I- cloud to begin with and why: did the back-up system even work on our i5; why and how the photos disappeared from the phone's hard drive? We all understand that humans can falter and technology do fail but we want to learn from those extraordinary events, take responsibility, not play the blame game, and not be arrogant.
Our dilemma: We are at a crossroads between seeking answers from the technology giant APPLE, learn to live without those fond memories of our first ever family trip on an Alaska cruise, and forget this extremely agonizing experience with Apple's modern day geniuses. I am taking the high road of being persistent and not give up - one of the teachings of Mr. Jobs himself. As we fondly remember President Kennedy this month since his fateful assassination fifty years ago, I am also inspired to go forth with my letter to you because I believe in what he believed, One person can make a difference, and everyone should try.
Our log of events will show that my wife and I have spent hundreds of person-hours collectively; tens of gallons in fuel adding to the carbon emission; hundreds of miles added to our car; purchased a third-party software which neither worked nor was reimbursed by Apple with billions in its coffers; persistently visited and waited for hours in the Apple store while treated with disrespect, disdain, and poor attitude most of the time by its new breed of geniuses with no success in the end. Topping all that was the continued denial by Apple staff that there was a problem with the hardware in our original i5 which led to catastrophic failure along the way.
To the best of my understanding based on the facts, the issue was not fixed by Apple Care technicians who, I would like to believe, tried to correct it in good faith. However, the phone did not work well after that fateful call on August 31. The phone was ultimately replaced by one of the Apple geniuses who recognized the problem with the hardware but it was already too late. Apple's behavior of not owning the responsibility is also manifested in another example. The Apple store manager Sam recommended on September 6 to get the photo recovered through On-Track in Minneapolis area. However, the store would not pay for it, would not offer a loaner for the duration of the repair, and would not stand behind its own product in case it failed to work upon return from On-Track. What an irony? Apple would fathom that my wife, as a physician, should do without the phone while it is being repaired (no loaner) or purchase another phone just to add another $700-$800 to Apple's coffers. It was sent to On-Track finally but again it was too little too late.
Apple in the Media: The headlines like, Without Jobs, Apple's management has lost the ability to innovate on Forbes.com and 208 responses Readers Respond: What Are Your Apple iPhone Complaints? on Ipod.about.com are very telling of the modern day Apple. The customers have a lot to talk about their frustrating experiences with Apple's customer service; some of them going away for good; and numerous issues with Apple products. If I were the CEO, I would take note of not only living on the laurels of the past but also be aware of Social Media Monitoring Reveals Unhappy Apple iPhone Fans Equals Poor Sale at Business2community.com.
I hope you get to read our story which is my goal of writing to you. Beyond that I hope that (1) you will seek answers about the failed technical service, failed technology or both to save our photos so you can improve your next generation of iPhones, (2) compensate us in a way that we can recreate our family memories by going back to the Alaska cruise; perhaps a small price to pay for this unprecedented technical fiasco of losing photographs due to the failed technology and/or technical assistance which was made worse by your own staff members, and (3) Use this extraordinary situation to do professional development of your geniuses to be humble, polite, friendly and human-like. It is by no means a threat but my resolve that failing to hear a reasonable solution in a timely manner. I will have no choice but to take my case to the social media and Google like sites, and even to the court of law, if necessary. As I have already stated, I am only one person who plans to make the difference in changing the prevailing Apple's culture of arrogance among its staff, disrespect and disregard for customer's time in your stores, and not accepting responsibility for its defective products and poor services.
Should you be unwilling or unable to find an amicable solution, I would like to make a formal request of the transcripts of our very first conversation with Apple Care technical staff on August 31, 2013. Thank you for your attention to the matter. I will look forward to your prompt response."

Next day, I called to confirm the location that I can get the iPhone for the mentioned price and was told it's incorrect and there is no way they can do anything about it. I requested for various options, including communication with my carrier about the contract to the fact that I was provided false information and Apple should be held liable for that. Despite reaching the Senior Advisor, who had the nerve to tell me that no matter what, she still won't do anything.
I was not only furious for the misguidance (price and Erase apps from iPhone and that is currently pending because of the delayed information) but also the discourteous way that the Senior Advisor spoke to someone who is devastated. I have even created a Twitter account to follow the CEO, who hasn't responded to my concern and it has been over 8 hours. My niece's iphone went blank/black and she could not see anything on the phone. Background - I had purchase the phone through Sprint and the Applecare warranty in May of 2012, I think. We had a problem with it related to the sound volume and went back to Sprint around on Feb. 2013. They sent us to the Apple store in the same mall. The Apple store looked at it and replaced it with a new phone. They also sent us back to Sprint to activate it, but Sprint would not activate it and sent up back to the Apple Store to get it activate it. The Apple Store did activate it for us. There was another problem with the camera which we took to the Apple Store sometime in May 2013, I believe. My niece was told did she reset it and they explain how. That went fine and we did not even need to see a technician in this case.
Now, as of Saturday afternoon - November 30, 2013, my niece's iphone went dark although supposedly, it still worked. I took my niece to the nearest mall after church on Sunday afternoon - December 1, 2013. I stopped a the Sprint store in the same mall to review my account and then went to the Apple Store and setup an appointment. We waited and had them review the phone at around 5:20 PM. They told us to come back in 30 minutes. Finally, they stated the the phone had some code that was Apple. They implied that we opened and tampered with the phone. I could not believe it. I am not tech savvy and my niece is only 14 and would not mess with the phone let alone open it. They took the phone again and came back with the same story - stating that they had to follow procedure and that they found an unknown code when they checked it. The only time that phone was even open or could have been open was at the Apple Store in Feb. 2013 when they replaced it and activate it. They went to the backroom to get the phone - if I remember right, they went in twice with two different phones because there was a problem with the first one they came back with.
Anyway, basically , it was implied to me that "someone tampered with the phone" and they were not going to fix my phone or honor my warranty. I wanted my phone back because we were going back to Sprint to get another phone - non-Apple this time. The technical made me sign something before she would even let me touch the phone. She did not explain to me what I was signing. I have hear this reason about tampering with the phone when I came in during our first problem with the iphone in Feb 2013. But it was to another individual beside us at the time. I did not think anything of it but now I believe they were trying to just get out of covering things on their warranty. I was just lucky that day. I now believe all the bad press I have heard about Apple products and count myself lucky that my family do not have a lot of Apple products - only one apple iphone now. I will now be part of the group to inform others out there to beware of Apple products and their warranty. My niece now has a new non-Apple phone and I count myself lucky that I only had one iphone problem that was taken care of before they started not honoring their warranty anymore - at least with me.

I had been using my iPhone 5 with minimal issues for over a year. I saw that the new OS was released - iOS 7. It had been a few weeks after the release and I noticed some slowness in my phone and odd things happening, like the dial pad would disappear when I wanted to make a call or calls would suddenly drop on routes I had traveled in the past with no issue. I decided to upgrade my iOS to the latest to see if this would resolve the problem. I plugged in the phone to my computer, initiated the process on iTunes, and then the firmware load stopped in the middle and was stuck for several hours. I tried again and again with no success. I used to be an embedded software engineer, so I tried to look up this issue and found that several people had a similar problem.
I had no anti-virus software running, no network routers and hubs, and no ports blocked, so I was technically savvy enough to avoid common pitfalls. I finally took my phone into the Apple store. The genius who looked at it exclaimed "Look at that! The phone is bent!" Honestly I couldn't see any bend in the phone. I had never dropped it and the screen wasn't cracked or anything, so there wasn't a real reason to suppose the screen was bent. He took it to the back to open it up and then returned and said that the water damage indicator had been triggered. Also my phone was out of warranty (by a couple of months) and so they would not be able to fix my phone as a result of the bend, water damage and warranty expiration.
I was left with the option of buying a new phone out of contract for $700. I walked straight out, very displeased. My phone had worked fine until I decided to upgrade to iOS7 and then I was refused any solutions. I just returned from the AT&T store, after begrudgingly purchasing a new iPhone 5c as a replacement out of contract, and found out from the sales staff there that several others had come into the AT&T store to upgrade their iPhone 5/4/4s and had the same issue - resulting in their phones being bricked with no recovery. Clearly, something is wrong with Apple's firmware release or firmware update process. Beware if you are upgrading your software and beware of future disappointing Apple customer service!

I only had that cord for about 4 months before it became useless. I just purchased my new cord about 2 months ago now and it already is showing signs of uselessness (wires already showing through sleeve). Apple KNEW that this would negatively affect iPhone's 4 and 4S and refused to give a Warning or Caution to these particular customers before this new IOS was downloaded!! To make matters that much worse, Apple removed the ability for these customers to go back to a working IOS 6 which worked for our phones. It seems we now have to purchase a newer model iPhone for which IOS 7 was designed for in the first place. PURCHASING A NEWER PHONE BECAUSE OF THIS PLOY WILL DEFINITELY NOT HAPPEN!!
Your loyal customers are the reason Apple has been so successful. Please don't forget that!! Do the right thing and release the ability to return to a working IOS for these older phones... Like my iPhone 4S that DID NOT drop calls repeatedly, allowed me to delete unwanted Apps from my phone, and not take an excruciating amount of time to access the Internet, just to name a few of the problems I NOW have!! Big fan of Apple products for years. Had first iPhone and have a couple of iPods. Always happy till now. Have new iPhone 5. Old iPhone was awesome. Never had a hitch. Always felt special with my iPhone. It was a status symbol. It was the Cadillac of mobile phones. Downloaded new iOS7 software and the Cadillac turned into a rusty, junky Toyota. Phone freezes causing me to do 30 to 50 hard resets per day just to get it to work. The new software is cheap and trashy looking. Had to give a presentation with my iPhone.
A lady in the board room first wanted to look at my phone before I could even start. She wanted everyone else in the room to see the "stupid looking new graphics" on the new software.. As she showed it to her colleagues she remarked how "cheap looking" it was. She remarked "doesn't this look like the new software was designed by a pre-schooler?" Another gentleman in the room remarked that the new software "looked gay." EVERYONE LAUGHED! Do you know what it is like to be laughed out of a presentation because of your phone? A device that is supposed to be your axe in the hole. My contract was not renewed thanks to this crappy software.
Spent many phone calls and hours and hours of wasted time with Apple tech support and got nowhere. I was told by one tech support person that she was sorry, but that "these things happen; that's life." Wow! Phone constantly freezes and then nothing works. Have a female friend who is a paramedic who had same phone and same support problems. She said to me, "what if I'm in an emergency? A life or death situation and I can't place call because my software renders my phone inoperable? This puts lives at stake" she said. She threw her iPhone in the garbage right in front of me warning me not to get the new phone or the new upgrade. I should've listened to her.
Also I am stuck with new 2 year contract from mobile carrier AT&T that I can't get out of without a big payoff. It's like Apple held a gun to my head with this new software and said take it, like it and shut up. If I had a chance to preview this at a store I would have never bought it because it looks so lame. They waited till people bought this phone and THEN AFTER THE FACT jammed the new software down their throat. Apple knew people would not like this software. I was told that they knew it was "buggy" but released it any because they would fix it later. Yeah, after they got you hooked into a new contract you can't get out of. This is consumer fraud.
Steve Jobs would have never signed off on this amateurish looking junk. I showed the new software to my mother and she laughed as well. She said they removed all of the stately elegance of the iPhone. Looks like some crappy dime-store, pay-the-month phone you would buy at Metro PCS. I was told by one tech that the upgrade was done to market this phone to young people. Young people can't afford this phone you idiots! I guess they don't care about business people. If they want to market to little teeny-bopper girls who do nothing but Facebook & hood rats who do nothing but sell drugs so be it. I want nothing at all to do with Apple products again - EVER! Like them old Holocaust Survivors like to say "never again!"

I had previously saved all this info as requested to iCloud and to my comp through iTunes. After numerous calls and transferred to many departments and different people, I finally talked to someone who could look into it. We spoke over a few different nights to come to the conclusion that he had no idea what happened, and stated he would email the "engineers" with the issue and they would take a few days to get back to him.
About 4-5 days later I finally get a call back and they try one more option to no prevail. I am told even though my info is saved right in front of me on the computer there is no way to retrieve it. I was then offered an iPhone case for my troubles, which I found incredibly insulting. He then transferred me to a customer service rep after waiting on hold again for approximately 30 mins. I was offered a few iPhone accessories and they would try to fix the old phone which is no longer working after the upgrade and other issues. I then had to activate an old iPhone 3 for the time being.
I now can no longer receive messages on this phone. I call customer service again. After about 45 min I am told I need the IOS5 software which I explained numerous times is not available on this phone, and was told yes it is. I found out later through another rep that it is not, and I will not be able to receive the messages. I cannot get a new phone at this point because they are all on backorder and take weeks to months to get. I have an Apple iPhone 5 that is ten months old and the battery completely drains to zero after about two hours of talking. I went into the Apple store to get a new battery for it, since it was under warranty. The Apple store did a diagnostic on my battery and said it was functioning at 83%, so they told me that they would not replace it under warranty (of course, why should I expect anything different?). I told them I would be happy to purchase a battery for $80. Then they told me that a new battery wouldn't increase my talk time, even though the usage time has been declining for the past few months.
I waited an hour for an appointment, and then they were an additional half and hour late before they got to me. After about half an hour of listening to verbal salad from the Apple employee about why the battery was draining, I told them to go ahead and replace the battery and they told me that it would be another hour to replace it. I was furious. So I went to the manager and he told me that I had a software problem. I pointed out that the battery was only functioning at 80% and the phone wasn't even a year old yet. Basically he told me to pound sand if I didn't like it.
I am thoroughly disgusted with Apple and their poor customer service. You would think after spending $600 on a phone, they would at least honor their warranty and replace a battery that wasn't functioning correctly, because I am pretty sure that you should be able to get more than two hours of talk time before the phone goes completely dead. Even my old flip phone got more talk time than my iPhone 5.
I would not recommend this phone to anyone. My old iPhone 4s was better than the iPhone 5. This is the worst phone I have ever had and Apple knows they have a problem with their battery life. All my push notifications are turned off, the brightness is turned down and then they told me to turn off my location service. What is the point of having all these features if you have to turn them off to use the phone? My husband's Samsung galaxy lasts about six times as long as my iPhone 5. This is a horrible phone.

Recently got a new iPhone 4s and MacBook Pro for work, Aug. 12th, 2013. Being a long-time Windows technician, I was excited to finally try out a new manufacturer of technology, Apple. After my first few hours of using my iPhone and MacBook, I was disappointed. The first item I noticed was deleting multiple text messages on the iPhone was not an option. I said WTF. Why can't I delete multiple messages? This seems elementary but I found this to be the theme for most Apple products. I have to delete messages one at a time. Why?
The more I used my iPhone and MacBook I became more irritated. I cannot Cut and Paste on my MacBook, only in Finder. I cannot enter a folder by pressing enter. I cannot Control+End to go to the end of a list. There's no port on the back or bottom of the laptop for a dock. So I have to connect all cords/devices, twice, daily, WTF.. The new out-of-box MacBook Pro is slower than **. I have to click on an icon and wait for the dumb thing to jump up and down. Why is there such a "lag" on the MacBook Pro. When I see my users using their new MacBooks, they keep double-clicking on the icons because their MacBooks are so ** slow!
I'm very disappointed with Apple. All of the hype doesn't hold any truth. Let's not try to "re-invent the wheel, Apple" Windows and Android are much better-performing products, by far. In my opinion, Apple is overpriced and under-powered. I truly cannot stand Apple products. They may look nice on the "outside" but on the inside they're nothing more than some slow moving rocks!

Ok, so I'm not the most graceful and dropped my iPhone within 2 weeks of getting it and it cracked. I paid good money for the otterbox and protective film to make sure it doesn't get more damage. I had an employee at my local Apple store put a new screen protector last week. The cracks are in the corner and continue in a v formation from corner to side. Now, the cracks have been there for about 6 months and no problems. After the new screen protector was put on, it remained working for 5 days then a splash of water gets on it and it DIES!?! I have the thing protected with film on the screen and an otterbox surrounding the whole thing... Why does it die?!?
Bad week, my iPod touch 8g, has a meltdown not 3 days after my iPhone.... Yes, it was older and was losing its ability to hold a charge, but it was not cracked or damaged in any way.. so why?!?! I am so done with Apple products and the disposable nature of their products! I swear they make them so delicate that they break and by the time they do break, we are so addicted to having the thing, we run out and buy a new one... genius design really, from a business stand point. Get the consumer hooked on your apps and then make the product so delicate, that it breaks very easily. Why else would there be so many protective case, screen film and such to safeguard the thing? HIGH PRICED and HIGHLY SENSITIVE... So NOT a fan!!

LED light stuck on. Went to the Genius Bar yesterday. I was told my light was stuck on due to moisture. This iPhone 4 is two months old and never exposed to moisture. Tech took phone apart, found very slight moisture had gone through head phone jack and had very slight rust. He told me moisture and humidity caused this in two months. Humidity? So I can't take the phone out when it's humid out? How can such a high tech phone be so vulnerable to the elements? Apple tech could not help me, because I didn't purchase phone from Apple and he said he didn't know history of phone.

I have a six-month-old iPhone 4S. The battery and WiFi stopped working. Well, the battery works for about 40 minutes if I charge it all night. Knowing that iPhones have a long history of battery problems, I stopped at the Apple store in the Maine mall (about an hour's drive). Because I did not have a reservation, they can't see me for three hours and suggested I make an appointment.
A few days later, I made an appointment for 4:20 in the afternoon. Then I called the local store to see if I can get it done earlier. They said "Yes, not too busy; we have some openings. Come right in." I adjusted my day's schedule around this. I got to the store but they said, "Sorry, just wait until 4:20." There is a lack of real customer service with Apple.

Let me tell you a little about the demographic you are marketing to. It's called INSTANT GRATIFICATION. When my husband’s Android phone has a “small unannounced update” that allows him to use two apps at once on the same screen, but I have to wait 3 months for a “major” update that will allow my iPhone to look pretty... Yeah. Your days are numbered. Get with the program. Stop posturing and start working.

My iPhone was a lemon from Day One. Most minor issues, I dealt with at the nearby AT&T store (my carrier). When the phone "crashed" and I was unable to power it up, AT&T told me I should go to the Apple store. When I cited all of the problems and asked for an exchange under warranty, the young man who powered up the phone told me whatever work was done might solve those problems. In fact, it did not. My phone kept crashing, though I was able to repower it, sometimes after several hours. Meantime, the phone got damp when water was sprayed on me (while it was in my pocket). On my return visit to the Apple store, the young man told me the traces of water caused the warranty to be null and void.
When I mentioned the previous problems and my unsuccessful attempt to exchange it on my previous visit, he said there was nothing he could do except sell me a new phone for $149. Later, Apple customer service told me that, rather than a uniform store policy on exchanges under warranty, it was up to each store's discretion (You have got to be kidding - no?). So, I'm stuck with a phone that never worked properly in the first place - and with a low evaluation of Apple's treatment of customers, which had been stellar in my case until now.

I purchased an iPhone 3GS a little over two years ago. Last week, the phone imploded from a faulty battery while it was sitting on my desk. I watched the phone expand and bust open. When contacting Apple, they said the phone was out of warranty and I would have to buy a new phone. When I went to their support site, I found hundreds of people with the same complaint and Apple is doing nothing about it. Some were lucky enough to get the phone replaced for the price of anywhere from $80.00 to $200.00. I am not about to pay another cent to Apple. I paid $699.99 for a phone that is basically disposable because they used an inferior battery in their product.
I understand a battery losing its life and not taking a charge, but never have I heard of it exploding inside a device and the company not being held liable. Nowhere in any of the literature with the phone did it say anything about replacing the battery after time or that it may explode. This is dangerous and they need to make a recall.

My husband purchased an iPhone 4S for me about a year and a half ago. My phone was trying to update to 6.3 when it froze. The music updated perfectly; however, when it was time for my 2,800 photos to sync, I received an iTunes image with a plug. We tried everything to no avail. After visiting an Apple store in Las Vegas, NV, the technician informed me it had to be reset to factory settings. My head and heart began to hurt; after all, I have photos that are irreplaceable. And yes, a back up was performed! I will never ever purchase another iPhone or accept one as a gift. I can't believe an upgrade would override my photos. Why didn't Apple take measures to prevent this from occurring?
