    No direct line to support, hung up on first when customer service transferred me (after a long wait, at least 7 minutes listening to the recording extolling PT virtues), then after another call through customer service, disconnected after 40 minutes on hold. Chat just as bad, never connected with agent. HORRIBLE. More to add, but my time is valuable and PT has no respect for that. Looking for a new provider.

    Customer Service Reps are very helpful. If you can get through to one. Only available during normal West Coast business hours. 611 number doesn’t work and was on hold for 15 minutes on the other number. Rep was helpful in solving my billing issue. Then I was on hold for another fifteen minutes trying to solve the 611 issue before giving up. Website is not user-friendly. Being put on hold results in annoying marketing messages. Instead of bragging about their customer service, they need to spend some money on getting more agents and expanding their customer service hours.

    The service is above par but not great, no follow up until now! The quality of calls is ok but I have had issue with connection and performance. The phone I got from Pure Talk is another story, I am usually quite content with a Samsung phone as I have owned several. But this one must be the bottom of the line in reliability and it has mind of its own, starts apps at strange times changes settings without being prompted and generally difficult to get used to. If I did not need a new phone I would have stayed with my Motorola. Pure talk may be trying, but it could do a little more

    Switching over was very easy from Verizon. They were able to cover a phone that is not commonly used and the price for my phone is incredibly cheap per month. I have noticed that I have pretty good reception around the area where I live. I’ve even noticed in some areas it’s been better than Verizon.

    I have had Puretalk for over 2 years and I'm very pleased with the cellular service and customer service. They are quick to respond and the monthly plans are perfect for anyone looking for a specific data plan. I noticed most of the complaints are due to not understanding how their phone works when changing plans or simply user error. I had to make some adjustment on my phone to make it work but it was all available on the website.

    We had a severe thunderstorm with a power outage earlier this week. Once the power went out our phones dropped off 5G and went to LTE and would not work in any manner - not cool! We could not call, text, or pull up any radars or data of any kind. When I called to get my pin to port out no one even asked why we were changing carriers!

    The unlimited service is not really unlimited because they cut it off at a certain point and you have to call and ask for the slow data to be restored. Now they're not even answering their customer service line, had to leave a message. Seriously doubt I will get a call back.

    I love being able to talk to an American in America when I need tech support! I also love feeling valued by the people I give money to each month for the privilege of having cellular service. Pure Talk's only shortcoming so far is in their international roaming. I am currently in the Czech Republic, and I have no cellular service, which really hamstrings me! I travel internationally often, and I also do not have cell service in Belize, which really seems off to me, as it is so close to the US, the national language is English, and they have a stable government. Please get with it, Pure Talk!

    We switched to PureTalk from Verizon a year ago. The process to join and activate our phones was not easy. Customer service took over 30 minutes to answer the call. Every time we needed to contact them, the wait time was crazy long. They had so many issues running payments from our bank (which always had more than enough to cover) and tried shutting down our service almost every month because of this issue. When we went to cancel, we were on hold multiple times for more than 20 minutes each time. Their saving grace, and the reason they have 2 stars instead of 1 is that they had great coverage and speeds.

    I called before I made the switch to this company to see if my phone was compatible with this network. After being told it was and I didn't need to purchase a new phone, I made the switch. After receiving the sim card and getting my phone unlocked, I could not make any outgoing calls or receive any calls. Seems only my text were compatible. Not having my service for even a total of one week I'm not considered a new customer to rate the phone discounts to get a working phone. So, I had to pay the full price for a new phone that I was told I didn't need. Great way to start out with this company.

    I started up an account with Puretalk on January 22, 2024. I have been ripped off to the sum of $94.26 for an open box Nokia 1.4 32 GB Fjord phone that did not charge after I had installed all of my data. I was sent a return label and the item was verified by tracking that it was received at their facility. I contacted Celeste on 2-05-2024 and she stated that someone would get back to me shortly. I had to initiate another call and I was told by Travis that a credit for the phone was being processed on 4-01-2024. I called again on 04-27-2024 and Maria told me that the wrong phone was sent back and that no credit would be issued. She stated that the warehouse had received an Alcatel Jitterbug phone instead of the Nokia phone and that it should have been sent back to me.

    She stated that someone would get back to me. I have only owned Motorola and Samsung phones. What is a Jitterbug? On 5-14-2024 I called Shalala and she stated that the case had been resolved and closed and that someone would get back to me. On 5-23-2024 I called Mia and that she showed the case had been resolved and closed and that someone would get back to me. On 5-28-2024 I talked to Ronnie and that she stated that someone would get back to me. Today, June 11, 2024, I received a poorly packaged with no charger Alcatel phone as a big thank you from Puretalk. My guess is that some impaired worker or thief in the return receiving department misplaced it or sold it on the internet marketplace.

    I am amazed that Puretalk has allowed this situation to to evolve in this fashion over something that is a mistake on their end. It could be that they believe me to be a thief or a liar. Any good company would make the refund and move on instead of wasting time and resources fighting this and sending me back a junk phone. I left Verizon which I had zero trouble with for many years and because of the AMAC endorsement and other talk show endorsements I went with Puretalk. I have owned and managed service companies for my entire working career of over 45 years and have never had a situation that has been handled so poorly. I have never had return contact from the company. Tim **.

    I joined PureTalk because I thought the customer service would be of better quality - I had an issue/misunderstanding (your sales agent failed to fully inform me of the rules) early on within the first month; I called customer service, asked to speak with a manager who would have the capacity to fix my account, and was told that a manager reviewed my request and would not be taking my call! Going to pay off my phone and move to another carrier.

    I absolutely am appalled by how bad this service is. The customer service is a joke the "unlimited" isn't unlimited. And data is not reliable at all. All in all, I've had nothing but problems and am leaving to another service as soon as I possibly can. I pay $74.34 for something I could get for $30 through Straight Talk. It's insane.

    I get the same service and clarity from PureTalk that I got from my other carrier.     I left Verizon wireless due to such a high bill. I researched and found PureTalk worked in my rural area and supported veterans I gave it a deeper look.     I have had several instances when people call me & it goes direct to voicemail since the Network is not recognizing my digital SIMcard. I have a low signal at home so if you have signal boosters available, please send me one. I had one from Verizon but it obviously does not help on ATT frequencies.

    I requested a sim card. Tried to activate. Keeps saying I need 15 IMEI number although I keep reentering it. So I paid 17.00. It didn’t work. So I called and got an electronic Sim and it will not let me activate. Now I am told my account number to port is correct. I had Spectrum and want to return to Puretalk.     I purchased Puretalk because your service map shows service in my area. It turns out to be not true. The signal is from a small time cellular company (Inland Cellular) and is roaming. I'm thinking of dropping service because it's almost the same as having Verizon's bad service. It's been almost a waste of money. The only time it pays off is when I drive to town, there I have 5g.

    Have only been a Pure Talk customer for about 1 year, when it works it's as good as any other. When there is a problem it's a nightmare. No way to contact tech support after hours and if like me and your phone won't call out there is NO way to contact anyone as they don't have an online contact, either had to use a 3rd party to relay, very frustrating. I am a truck driver and my phone is my lifeline to dispatch, home, family and so on, at least give us a way to get help when all you can do is text.

    When data allotment runs out, the internet just stops. Have to call customer service twice now for them to fix it.     I am very happy with the coverage. Very few dropped calls. The customer service is second to none. Fast, friendly service. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the phones we got are terrible. They freeze up a lot, and are very slow.     I ported a number from AT&T to pure talk and PureTalk after two weeks and 3 different phones could not get the ESIM or physical sim card to work. I tried to transfer my service back to AT&T and they couldn't give me the pin number to port my phone number back. I had to get a new phone number. Each time I Called pure talk it was at LEAST a 30 min wait for customer service and/or IT. Also during the process they told me to delete my phone back to factory settings to try and get the ESIM to work, I lost all my contacts and Apple info for 6 days since I didn't have access to the phone number since pure talk couldn't get my phone to complete the apple two factor authentication. The worst experience I have ever had with any cell phone carrier easily over 30 hours on the phone with them and nothing to show for it.

    Long story short, I had an extra phone sent to me due to an ordering issue I had. I ended up getting charged the $210 for that phone. I returned the phone and I got confirmation it was received 4-29 and give it 14 days to get a refund. 14 days went by, still nothing. I called again and they put in a ticket and told me I should get it in 5 days. Still nothing, I call again on 5-21 and they said they put in another ticket and it would take 2 days. Now it 5-30 I called again and they want to do another ticket. Ridiculous!!!! It should not be this hard. At least give me a credit on my account for the $210 or something. I'm tired of tickets. It's not helping the situation. $210 is a lot for me. If I cancel, then I'm responsible for the phone I have now. I am disappointed that my money is being messed with. I've never had an issue with refunds and this by far the most frustrating thing. PT needs to held accountable just like we have to to pay our bills.

    Awful, terrible customer service! Better have the right phone! If you try to switch back to one of big carriers you have to get a new phone number! When you switch to Pure Talk they now own your number!

    Never have any problems with the carrier. Works every place I’ve been so far. My phone has some issues, like goes silent sometimes, and then sound comes back in a few hours. Also, it dropped (I thought I had a very good case on it) and broke the glass around the camera. One corner of glass is missing and the rest is cracked. Does my insurance cover a replacement?

    So I was signing up for life wireless and was on a Lifeline program as all my assets are stolen daily which I am on food stamps and require the 2 bit government to help me with my phone service and I was told I had to pay 4.99 for shipping the phone but come to find out somehow I was signing up for PureTalk. Never heard of them and they are prepaid phone service so I find out someone has been using my stolen Lifeline phone and sending me a prepaid phone...no cool at all and with this grimy company then can get away with it no questions asked. Also when I call I get so no truth telling piece of work who say their whatever phone service I think I using call center or 2 people who screen all my calls piece of crap...so my identity stolen people pig back of me all day and night and I'm broke living with no electricity in 90 to 100 degree weather...nice right. Well whoever is doing this your hours are numbered...have a nice day.

    I tried to enable WiFi calling on my Pixel 6a with four attempts with Customer Service. WiFi calling was needed due to weak AT&T signal at my home in Longmont and non-existent at my vacation property in Montana. My voicemail never worked either even after trying recommended solutions. I tried PureTalk because of the offer through AMAC but I will inform them that they need to put some kind of warning on their offer.

    Updated on 07/16/2024: Now I cant downgrade my plan to the original one I signed up with, cant over ride the system is what they say. Now there are probably going to charge me a late fee because this option wasn't available. I really wanted to like pure talk, but now I am doubling down regretting this service.     Upset with Pure Talk. We were told when we received our sim card give them a call. They could call our carrier and take care of the pin and account switch over. We called and were told No that is our responsibility to call and take care of all of that. That is 100% Not what was explained to me. Plus we were told that we would be walked through the taking out of the sim card and putting in the new one. A waste of time. I would have switched no problem. Ridiculous..

    We have been with PureTalk for years and have not encountered any problems. Recently my wife needed a new phone. Phone + washing machine does not work well. Our first issue was the "tiny, tiny small print" that showed a phone price for new customers only. When I called customer service for an explanation and I got the rudest person I've talked to in years. Instead of cussing him out I just hung up on the jerk! When I tried to log back into my account the phone I was going to order at $299.99 was "a promotional item and not available!" Next day, I call again and I'm told they are doing a system upgrade and they will call be back late afternoon or the next day. Currently looking for a different company!

    I am not impressed with either the phone I purchased from Pure-Talk or the service I am receiveing since joining. For one thing, I very clearly stated that I DID NOT want automatic payment being taken from my bank account and clearly stated I'd be glad to pay the extra $5.00 per month to avoid that arrangement and yet, since joining your service, I've continued to get messages in my email stating that my monthly payment was successfully made - via automatic withdrawal from my bank account. NOT HAPPY about that!!!!

    Additionally, at least 95% of the time, I cannot even get my phone to work where I live. I have to walk outside the house and down our driveway some distance to get it to work, even when it shows that I have 2-3 bars of connectivity strength. When I DO finally get it to make (or receive) a call or to send a text message, more often than not, the call gets dropped multiple times during a discussion and any text messages that I compose have to be saved as a draft first, then I have to turn my phone off and restart it. After it comes back on, THEN I can successfully send the text message that I saved as a draft. FRUSTRATING!!!!!

    I purchased PT on 4/8/24. Was doing great until I and at time of my connection I made the gal aware I go to Mexico once a month, said no problem, got it covered. I had service for 1 day out of the 3 days in Mexico, then you have Araceli tell to do a reset on my phone. DISASTER after reset, instead of guiding me to purchasing more roaming time by they should of been told since the start of this plan. I felt unsafe with out my phone, I mean nothing, on top I wasn't able to to do my homework on Zoom. To talk to a manager is impossible, and by the way they TEXT to the Managers/Supervisors, WE as clients don't get to talk to them if we feel we need to at ALL and they won't disclose the names higher ups, like it's CIA, for goodness sakes.

    I finally got to speak to Tiffany/Mngr where she clarified that if I had just purchased roaming everything would of been good. By this time I was frustrated. Went to another cell service. On 5/4 decided to change carrier. The port alone has been such an issue that it seems that PT staff all have a controlling issue. I started my new cell service. Since 5/4/2024 to 5/8/2024 4 days without cell again. Tell me why I haven't been able to get my old phone # then you have Ray in CS @ PT. Told her I needed to cancel my service then I couldn't remember my pin #. I said I need to talk to a MG. She then said, "How about you stop telling me what do and I'll tell you what you need to do." WOW instead of saying let me help go to your PT profile so we can proceed from there.

    Mind you still 5/8 unable to get my old # because I have 2 address I use all the time and PT said he is unable to do anything for me NOR get me a manager because I didn't give the correct address even though they are both correct. Called on 5/9/24, spoke to Shatoy @ PT, asked to speak to a Mngr to let them know of days without a cell phone again due to port issues. She said she couldn't connect me nor tell me her Mngr name. Customer service isn't what it use to be. So many people disconnected, no empathy/sympathy of any sort (Daisy and Judias were very helpful @ PT).

    We've been with Pure Talk for 3 years. Recently we started having issues with our phones. I tried 6 times with 3 different numbers to get with customer service. No answer.     Telephone service seems very good. The phone seems to lose charge faster than a new phone should. Faster now than when I first started the phone. Loading info is slow and sometimes very slow. Must be the service or the phone, not when home on internet. Using iHeart radio, the signal just cuts out often, even when stopped. Again, not at home on internet. Over all service has not been impressive.

    Multiple issues with voicemail:

    1 - There is no Visual Voicemail like Verizon has that lets you pick which messages to listen to.
    2 - Notification of voicemail is delayed. You may not get a notification for a day and then get a notice that you have 5 voicemails.

    3 - When the voicemail is played, the number the call is from is not given so if the person does not leave their number you do not have a way to call them back.

    I have been a customer for about two months. When I signed up for PureTalk I explained my phone use and signed up. After a week I called CS because my phone was slowing down and unusable. Called CS. Was on hold for close to an hour. When I talked to a rep they said I used up my unlimited data? What. They reviewed my recorded conversation when I signed up and said it was the plan I signed up for and I explained it's not the plan I signed up for, I got the plan you put me on. They agreed and put me on the plan I was suppose to be on at No charge, Great. Well not so fast, after less than a month my phone is once again unusable because it's so slow.

    I have called customer service day and night and gave yet been able to speak to a person. Their phone carrier is AT&T and they both suck. If you like not getting phone service or not speaking to customer service you found the right company. Good luck canceling your service because you have to talk to customer service and they don't answer the PHONE.

    PureTalk claimed they had service in the remote area my daughter lived. She had no service there at all, nor for several miles radius. And don't expect to get help. They don't have a chat option - it is phone call only. Every time I have called I have been on hold for over 45 minutes. I believe my record on hold was 1 hour 52 minutes. You *have* to call to remove your number because they refuse port out requests unless you call them.

    I misunderstood. Metro pcs gave us high speed then after that the slower worked fine. I got the idea from the ads comparing to t-mobile that it was apples to apples. How I wanted this to work- I am so tired of woke companies. But my high speed was gone in two days, and your slower speed was more dial up type speed. It will cost me to start metro pcs back up.     I switched from AT&T to Pure Talk almost 6 months ago. The first 5 months were fine, with no problems. But this last month has been nothing short of HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE. I can’t get YouTube videos to play. Most of the time even the thumbnails won’t load. My phone calls are constantly in and out. I have to ask multiple times "Can you repeat that?" The service can’t even stream music, which requires much less bandwidth than video. Hell, I had to leave the grocery store, because my shopping list (Apple Reminders) wouldn’t load, and web pages wouldn’t load.

    So, I called Pure Talk last week (April 17th, 2024), and spent over 30 minutes with tech support for nothing. No change. They told me there was an outage from AT&T! What the hell does AT&T have to do with Pure Talk? Well, It’s their back-bone! I left AT&T because of their VALUES and was told Pure Talk Represents my values, but the reality is, my money is still going to AT&T. At the end of the call, I told the agent I wanted a refund for HORRIBLE SERVICE over the past 4 weeks. A week later, no one has called. I called them back, got switched to 3 different people, who all put me on PERMA-HOLD, and I got to listen to the same BORING recording singing the praises of Pure Talk, while I held for a SOLID HOUR. I finally hung up, with ZERO RESULTS! It literally felt like they were just going to keep my hold until I hung up. So I guess they win and I lose! Looking for the next place to take my money. Any suggestions?

    WiFi Hotspot does not appear to work with our Samsung S10 phones. Your support person tells me that PureTalk does not guarantee that WiFi hotspot works with Android phones.     My service is slow. Internet mainly only works at home. They are mostly apple product based so I switched to apple hoping it would help the service and now I just have slow service with a phone a I hate. I have called and they try to be helpful.     We are really trying to stay with Pure talk, but every month my son's phone says balance too low to make calls. We have unlimited calls but they have to reset it so he can make/receive any calls.     Switched from ATT to Puretalk. Traded in my I phone 11 cause I wanted an Android. The Samsung Android turned out to be an A14 which is a very low end phone. Nothing like the I Phone 11. Also the refurbished phone came password locked and spent most of the day between Puretalk Tech and finally had to call Samsung and install a Google account to reset password. The phone cost was $160. They won't let me return is or give me a penny toward a higher end phone. Cause I have it more then 14 days. So the $160. is a complete waste. I think the agent knowing I was giving up an I Phone 11 should have better advised me on a new phone. I will now have to throw this away and get service elsewhere.

    Received a defective phone. Tried to contact customer service but it took three weeks to get ahold of anyone. Was then told I waited too long for a replacement/refund. Went round and round for three months between PureTalk and BLU with no resolution. Long after I had already recycled the defective phone and switched carriers, your "Loss Prevention" team kept bugging me about it without offering a return box until it was way too late. I literally had to close out my bank account to get you to stop taking my money for service and phone I never "really" received. It should be noted I am a single Christian disabled veteran living on $600 a month with two teenage kids. I thought for sure this would be the one company I could trust to share my values and treat me well. Silly me.

    We have very poor reception at our home and often lose calls and have many calls go to voice mail rather than ring through. If we can't get better service we may have to look elsewhere for service. We would be interested in a signal booster in order to get better reception.

    I understand PureTalk relies on available cell towers for our phone service, however the cell towers in our area do not work as they should. A couple of years ago a storm damaged a major tower in our area and it has not yet been fully repaired. We experience low signal strength and sometime our phones don't even ring and connect on an incoming call. I realize you don't own the towers and can't make repairs, but the low quality of signal affect our experience with your service.

    I, Paul's wife, am very frustrated w/ the problems of his Pure Talk voicemail. We've had it set up, reset twice w/ tech. help but now he can't access it. A message says it hasn't been set up. I've gone to customer portal to have voicemail reset but still get the message when attempting to sign in w/ password or the ability to change it. My voicemail doesn't require a password & has easier access through Tracfone so I don't understand why Pure Talk can't be simpler as well. Thank you for inviting a response to your network.     PureTalk sent me a physical sim card. Upon contacting a live person (monumental task) the tech support activated my sim incorrectly (didn't port over my number). This required me to order a completely new sim card (at my cost for a second time). Customer support offered a $3 refund after charging me $40 twice. When requesting to talk to a supervisor, they told me they would give me an email address. DO NOT USE PURETALK!!!

    Updated on 06/18/2024: So I did decide to go with PureTalk. Something has changed in the last 90 days. Everything buffers now. When I run a speed test I usually get a response that my internet connection is so slow. I'm going to call them one time see if they can correct the issue. But it absolutely is not the same service that I had 3 months ago.

    Original review: I switched to PureTalk and allowed them to issue me a number because I did not want to switch over my 22-year number until I knew the service was good. Everything was going well and I called customer service and told them I wanted to Port over my old number that I've had for 20 years and they said that I could not until the current month expired. I would basically be renewing a whole new service using my ported number. So I had to pay for 3 months with the old company to preserve my number. And I left a review on Trustpilot. Ever since that review and the company answered that review my service has gone to crap.

    I have such slow service. When I run the speed test it almost does not complete. When it does complete it tells me that my internet service is extremely slow. I am nowhere near using all of my data. I still have 91% of my data remaining and the speeds are disgustingly slow. All of this happened after my negative review and the company answered too.

    When I saw that our Puretalk plan included $5 international roaming and $1.5 international calling, I thought we were set for our 16 day cruise from Santiago, Chile to Miami, Florida (2/19/24-3/8/24). However, in some ports our phones showed no service. In others, they showed service, but our text to family in the USA failed to go through. I think only in one city (I forget whether it was Trujillo, Peru, Manta, Ecuador, or Panama City, Panama) was I able to send a text that went through. Our only communication with family in the USA was via email through the ship's wifi internet service. Our international ports were in Santiago/Vina del Mar/Valparaiso, Chile, Coquimbo, Chile, Arica, Chile, Pisco, Peru, Lima, Peru, Trujillo, Peru, Manta, Ecuador, Panama City, Panama, Panama Canal, and Cartagena, Colombia.     I was excited to switch to Pure Talk and took advantage of a good deal on the new 5g phone. When I got the phone in, I had some health struggles due to the stronger radio waves and more powerful battery, which also caused the phone to overheat frequently. I had never dealt with these health problems when using 4g phones. Nausea, headache and constant insomnia were the main issues I struggled with. I resorted to keeping the phone on airplane mode 90% of the time, which made a positive difference in my health, but obviously rendered the service useless.

    In the process of reporting these issues to call center and trying to switch back down to 4g, (which turns out is not possible with the new devices) I was met with some confusion from some of the staff, even being hung up on once because I probably sounded crazy. One call center staff member lied and told me I gave her the wrong pin number in order to end the call. I don't remember many names since this happened months ago, but it can be researched in my call history. I spent more money ordering an unlocked older phone from Amazon (no 4g phones available through Pure Talk at the time) and the IT department sent me a useful email to help me get it working. I was able to return the 5g phone in the nick of time to get a refund, thanks to a very helpful call center employee. My 4g phone is much safer for my body and I can go on using it without insomnia or nausea.

    I used to get 5 bars with Verizon in my home, and with Pure talk I'm only getting 1, even when I was testing the 5g. It still seems to work, but does often cut out when I try using the hotspot for my weekly online class. This is annoying to me, but I'm working around it for now because I was paying about $15 more a month for the same data package at Verizon. I haven't decided whether I will keep Pure Talk for good, but it is adequate at the moment. Many of the staff members are very nice and professional, and I believe in supporting these types of veteran-owned businesses.

    When I called Pure talk to get service I was told I could get a new discounted phone now or in a month or so if I choose to do that. So that’s what I did. When I called back a month later, to get the new discounted phone. I was told, "Too late. You already signed up for service and you are now not eligible for a new discounted phone." This is not a good way to treat a new customer. I then had to buy a new phone from Apple at a much higher price. Be honest with your customers instead of false information. I am still bitter about this.

    Original review: We are grateful for this company and the low cost for cell phone service. Our only complaint is that Pure Talk has limited coverage. We were told that Pure Talk has nationwide coverage and uses the same towers as Verizon our previous cell phone provider. Near our house we have no cell service until we drive at least 10 miles towards a larger town. In two nearby towns our cell phones have SOS service only. We have an AT&T tower 2 miles from our house and 8 Miles away is a Verizon tower. Maybe you can tell me why our phones won't work in the Bradfordsville, Merrimack and Jack Town areas?     Overall I like this service but in rural areas (where I live) the service is not always optimal. I was riding in a rural area with a person who has AT&T service and was using her phone for navigation. I tried to use my phone to search for a nearby restaurant. I had NO service. This seems to be the norm. When I'm in a big city, there hasn't ever been a problem. I think it's because there aren't as many cell towers in the rural areas.

    Only requests I have to make the company even better is:

    I really, really wanted to support PureTalk due to your values. I changed to you after being a Verizon customer for over 30 years. I have been very disappointed in my experience. First, the service has never been as good as it was with Verizon. We don't have good service in places that make no sense. But the deciding factor was when I made a trip out of the country and I was essentially dead in the water. Initially I had no service and your rep could not figure out why. I got it working myself, but even with repeated purchases of top-off data, nothing worked. Messages would take forever to send, and if I tried to do anything it used all my data. I used Wi-Fi anywhere I could to avoid using data. My travel experience was an epic fail. As a result I am going back to Verizon even though I have to pay more. I really wanted this to work and I wish it had.

    When I switched to PureTalk from TracFone, I could not get my data to work. I called customer service and they transferred me to technical support. After finding out a few things, the technician told me that only Android 11 or higher were supported by PureTalk. I had Android 10. That meant either I had to go through the trouble of porting my number back to TracFone and going through switching back; or buying a new phone. Many other companies still support Android 10.

    I still wanted to support the American company PureTalk. I saw the deal that I could get the phone I wanted for $50. When I called, they said since I had already been signed up for my service, they could only give it to me for $199. I ended up buying it elsewhere for $130. My husband did call back and another worker offered him the phone for $50, but I had to sign up for a 2-3 year contract and get $4 worth of insurance every month for the phone. At least she tried to help, unlike Jasmine who I had dealt with. After having this phone for a few weeks now, I really miss my old one. I liked how it operated and was used to it. I still do not have everything transferred over to the new phone. It has been a real disappointment switching over to PureTalk.

    I tried to become a customer. They got my email address wrong, so I could not create account. Took four days to resolve that issue. 4 Days of lost service. Then after what I thought was a resolution, ended up a nightmare. They confessed that they are upgrading to a better phone grade, therefore, my phone may not work. It didn't. I decided to go back to my old company. Now another three days of lost service because PURETALK is playing games by not releasing and activating my phone for 72 hours! Terrible customer service!

    1. Poor coverage at home address and at other locations traveled. 2. Also recently learned that AT&T tracks/records all phone calls received or initiated on their network and then tracks those numbers also. In addition to that they also track all texts, data, etc. Although illegal, FCC lets them do it as long as AT&T agrees to furnish all this info to different gov't agencies. And since Pure Talk uses AT&T network, one assumes Pure Talk allows this activity as well. We have done nothing wrong or have anything to hide but do not approve of this illegal activity. Don't believe the other major cell providers are doing this and so it will probably be wise to go back to Verizon.

    The service is fine, but the v-mail workflow needs some refining. We are wanting to hear the actual message asap and don’t need to hear the phone number slowly read before the message. Additionally, after the message is read, it is not possible to delete the message, because it moves on to the next. It would be better to pause for a command afterwards, such as delete, repeat, hear demographics about message, return call, etc. Thanks!

    Switching from one of the big conglomerates was the best decision I’ve made in ages. I’ve been with Pure Talk for several years now and I can’t tell you how nice not worrying about mystery charges and moving target phone bills is. My bill is exactly the same month after month and it’s literally half the price it was under my last provider. The service quality is just as good if not better too.

    Another big plus is Pure Talk’s customer support. If you do have a question about something, it’s refreshing to be able to talk to a real person instead of getting passed around from automated department to automated department. There’s never any upselling and the people at Pure Talk make you feel like an actual person instead of a number or personal piggy bank. The entire Pure Talk experience has a down to Earth mom and pop vibe to it the big guys simply can’t provide. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.     We switched to Puretalk when Metro by T mobile went woke with all their advertising on supporting perverse lifestyles. Our new phones were reasonably priced and we've found no issues with the service. When the AT&T outage occurred we lost service for a few hours but we've had no other issues.     The plan is overpriced as it does not come with unlimited talk, text, AND data/internet. I am a senior so will need to look elsewhere for service as soon as I am able. My prices kept going up as I needed more data. Pretty sure I can get a senior plan with unlimited data at this point.

    I had great service up to and just after hurricane Ian, while other members of my house with a different major carrier were having problems. Over the past year however, most of my callers are telling me the call is breaking up or they can’t hear me.     I am very happy with my domestic service, but very discouraged with international! All 3 cell companies I’ve had offered as you go type plans where there was a nominal daily fee charged for days I was out of the US & made calls. Please add a plan like that!! I am only out of the US 10-15 days a year so it doesn’t justify your fee for the international add on that’s always on. Pls consider adding “pay-as-you-go" type option for infrequent travelers!
