I am happy but I wish I would not drop some calls or lose signal in certain areas but other than that I am happy. I am happy with customer service whenever I have needed them. I like my payment alerts.

My contact with the staff at Pure Talk has always been excellent. They are always ready to assist me in all regards. They are always courteous and professional. Any problems are quickly resolved in a competent manner. I have and will continue to extol the merits of dealing with Pure Talk USA.

I have had PureTalk for many years now and I have only nice things to say. I have called their customer service on more that one occasion and they have been very helpful, professional and kind. But what really makes me want to write this review is that I received an email a while ago that said my data limits would be increasing yet my plan price would stay the same. That's unheard of. That is why I recommend Pure Talk.

The phone service is really horrible. Drop calls, the person can't hear when I'm talk or I can't hear the receiving party. This the second phone and the same issues. Sorry I wouldn't recommend anyone to have this service. Also the customers service is horrible as well.

Wound up activating card on my old phone instead of new. Charged me to ship new card $3. Asked for next day delivery since needed phone, charged me $5 for next day then shipped it normally and have not received yet. Poor customer service.

I am ok with Pure Talk. The only bad thing I was forced to change my senior citizen plan to unlimited program. I was told I can only have certain packages instead of grandfathering my old plan, I was simply told no more and forced me to go to their more expensive plan.

Thanks for uninterrupted service. The reception is good and sound is clear, you can't beat the price for 2 lines with a good amount of data and unlimited service. My wife and I will continue to use your service. Online, the website gives a clear image of calls and data usage. I've been with other companies in the past and Pure Talk offers much more for the money than the competition.

My experience with Pure Talk has always been positive both from an operational and customer service standpoint. The connection has always been excellent. Some the inception of my service over five years ago, I have no recollection of the service being down. Lastly, despite the new restructuring plan that has boosted my monthly statement a few dollars, unlike many other carriers Pure Talk remains comparatively easy on the pocketbook. Keep up the good work and if you can find a way to make internet service available at the same affordable rates, I am ready and waiting.

I recommend this service to all my friends. The biggest problem is dropped calls in some areas. Other than that I am happy with it. Also wish you had more selection of phones so I don't need to go elsewhere!

Reasonable service at a great price. As full-time RV-ers traveling the country, we have found areas with no signal (typically out west), but figure that all things considered, Pure Talk is great. We have often recommended it to others.

I've had a positive experience with Pure Talk for about five years now. It has always been easy to get through to a customer service representative in the USA, not overseas. And they're always helpful and professional. Recently I switched to the new unlimited plan and I'm actually paying less than I was paying for minutes and data before. The new unlimited plan makes pure talk an unbeatable deal in my opinion.

Living in a rural area, coverage was always an issue. Pure Talk solves the problem. My service is wonderful, and it works everywhere I go. Prices are great. I have auto pay, and it comes out of my account the same day each month.

I have been with Pure Talk for a while now no matter what state or city I go to it comes with me never left me hanging. I Brag about this company but no one have heard of it that I know oh well their loss. I don't have to call customer service that much but when I do customer service give me there all to fix my problem. I feel no attitude from them even if it takes awhile they want hang up until I say its working. Love Pure Talk one straight bill no Surprises.

I am not too technologically savvy, so my flip phone has been great for me. I love the cost and it keeps me in touch with family and friends. Sometimes, however, it is a little hard for to hear when there are people around me talking. Thanks Pure Talk.

WOW! Buyer beware. Purchased a new Alcatel A30 from Pure Talk. Phone has what looks like delamination lines on the surface of the screen, under the glass. Glass is not broken and no damage to the phone. It should be noted that I have had phone less than 72 hours (and Pure Talk customer service was closed 24 of those hours). The phone has not even been activated yet. Was told that I have to pay return shipping and might have to pay a re-stocking fee. I am a disabled US vet and went with Pure Talk because they advertise US & Veteran Owned. Please stop advertising that way. With your customer service you give Vets a bad name. All I requested was to exchange the damaged phone for one that was not. Pure Talk choose to lose a customer over a $99.00 phone. That is a shame! I could say more, but just look at other options before Pure Talk cost you unnecessary expense.

Your new website format has removed the ability to print my invoice. DID ANYONE THINK ABOUT BUSINESS PEOPLE WHO MUST HAVE A PRINTED INVOICE FOR THEIR EXPENSE REPORT? Your email just doesn't do it for my accounting department!!! And in the 2 calls I've made, there is **no** way you can do that for me. Now I'm forced to deal with a 3rd party company that does our expenses, as it's not done in-house.

We have been very happy with Pure Talk until the last trip we made from Salt Lake City to Brookings, SD. We lost coverage just outside of Evanston, WY until Rapid City, SD. THIS WAS ABOUT 600 miles or almost 9 hours of service. This does not conform to your coverage map displayed on your Website. It is a good thing we didn't have an accident or any other travel issues as we would have had to wait out in the desert for who knows how long.

Most of the time, no problems. But on occasion have trouble accessing my data (always at an inconvenient time). We do have trouble with some type of setting (my husband and I both have an iPhone 5 ) where our phones will not 'ring'. It will show a call coming in (if I'm looking at the screen) and will show missed call. If I can call tech support (not available on weekends!!!) and they adjust some setting or another, they will work again for awhile.

I have been using Pure Talk for a number of years. The service works well in my location and the plans are reasonably priced. It’s easy to purchase “unlocked” phones which are required. Pure Talk gives you a free sim card and you can transfer your old number without problems. You’re never charged extra for over-data usage. The incoming data will become very slow when you have used up your plan.

Pluses to PureTalkUSA: 1. Reasonable rates to choose from 2. Helpful and knowledgeable customer service representatives. Minuses to PureTalkUSA: 1. Discontinuation of our service option without notice or explanation 2. No customer service late into the evenings or on the weekends. Do we plan to stay with PureTalkUSA? Yes, but better communication and better customer service hours would be much appreciated.

Came to Pure Talk to get away from the big 4 (or is it 3 now?). Never have had issues with coverage living on different coasts of America. Great cellphone plans and business model that has kept with the times, all while not increasing my monthly bill EVER. With so many companies constantly ratcheting up monthly charges despite no additional services or perks being offered, is all too common in today's world. Not Pure Talk though. My only gripe is lack of international calling when I travel to Canada. Other than that, I highly recommend Pure Talk to everyone.

I have a cheap phone that bought from Pure Talk and it works great. I know if I purchase a upgraded phone from you it would give me more options and one of the these days I will. PureTalk is hands down as good as any major carrier. It has all the advantages at a low cost, and no downside as far as I know. I can send MMS, group texts and set up my cell phone as a hotspot. Great reception and no “drop zones” here in town.

I have recommended Pure Talk to many of my friends. Customer service is great. Whenever I have a question they are very helpful. I have never had a problem with service no matter what part of the country I am in. I love Pure Talk USA. I don't know why more people don't use it. Way better than Tracfone in my opinion.

I switched to Pure Talk about 2 years ago after being with ** for many overpriced years of service. My old service was ok but paying way too much for service got old after many years. When a friend recommended Puretalk I was a little hesitant to say the least but service has been amazing and even in areas I could not get service before and at a FRACTION of the cost... I’m sold and would refer (and do) to anyone considering cell service.

I really like the flexibility you build into your plans. Being able to change plans monthly and not be locked into a contract. Also the ability to add more data on the fly is helpful for the times I go over my limit.

I have used several different phone services for my cell phone and pure talk has to be about the best. They have the best prices, service and the friendliest people to deal with. Their coverage area was something I was worried about at first, but their coverage area is equal to the bigger boys out there. I've been with Pure Talk for two years now and I don't intend on changing to anyone else in the future.

PureTalk is a great low cost cellphone service with customer service that can't be beat. For the most part, our PureTalk service works without a hitch. On the occasional times that I have called for help when automatic updates caused minor problems, the agent was responsive to my request, easy to understand, and knowledgeable. I was problem free in minutes. I have used other "no contract" phone services, but PureTalk is hands down the best.

Had a broken screen on one of the Alcatel phones we purchased. It was still under warranty, however I sat down and cracked the screen. No coverage due to my fault. The thing is we couldn't find anyone to fix it and either have to buy a new phone or configure one of our old ones hoping it would work. We do not like Joy File manager, launcher, Boost, Junk, applications. They were sent without any notice. Replaced the original ones that worked. Better selection of phones would be nice.

Always attentive and will call to remind you of late payments and they are consistent with this. Helpful staff if you have questions. Loving the fact they knock down your bill if you are loyal in paying on time and will increase your gb. I have been with them I think 4 or 5 years after being with several different phone companies. $35 a month, used to be like 40 and 5gb of data, unlimited data and internet and text is nothing to sneeze at.

I always Recommended Pure Talk to people using Next Door.com and at any event I attend. I showed them what you did for me after Hurricane Harvey Hit Houston. I heard many stories about how businesses fooled customers into taking a month off after Hurricane Harvey - they paid double in interest rates or were sent to a Collection Agency for Non Payments. No other phone carrier took action like Pure Talk did For Valued Customers - with a Month without a Phone Bill - and meant A Free Month without having to Pay! Thank You for that again.

I'm happily been with PTUSA for over 5 years - This was after several different providers including an insect brand which caused me nothing but grief. Built upon the GSM network, I'm guaranteed access pretty much anywhere and the price - cheaper than a candy bar or cola every day. Overall my experience with PureTalk has been positive. My only problem is a weak connection signal at my home. I called technical support and asked about Wifi Calling feature and was told it was not offered. That would be a tremendous help to me because I fail to get some calls because my phone doesn't ring. Anything PureTalk can do to make this feature available will be a great help to me.

The tech support lady was very patient while I figured out how to get my new case off, etc. and even when I had to ask a family member to read the sim # for me (my glasses obviously need replacing!). Service was quickly restored. But the BEST part is I didn't have to wait to speak to a rep or go through a million options, etc. AND, I spoke to an American that I could fully understand! Happy with the ATT service and lower prices. Good customer service. Have phones or use yours. It just needs to be unlocked and use a SIM card. Their SIMs fit all three sizes: regular, mini and micro. Good family plan prices. They need to offer better data in their prices, but not bad.

I have been a customer for 3 1/2 years. I have only needed to contact customer service twice and both times were excellent. Staff was very responsive, friendly and helpful. Their rates are very fair and competitive. As a matter of fact, my rate has dropped twice in price since being a customer. Except for having the convenience of a local facility to walk into, Pure TalkUSA is everything you could ever hope for from a cellphone service provider.

Good service for good price. Service is reliable. Wish there was more data or unlimited, but they don’t cut you off once limit is met, just slow you down. And you can always buy more data. I avoid calling customer service, the wait is usually fairly long, but people are helpful once you get them.

If you're like me and you no longer want to own a smartphone - and if you only use your phone for actual phone calls and (very rare) text messages - then this is definitely the way to go. To convince yourself, read your next cell bill in detail and you'll see that not only are you paying very high taxes (with no detail), but you're also effectively subsidizing all of the high data users. So happy I made the switch.

I have been a customer of Pure Talk for about 7 or 8 years, and have never thought about changing providers. Pure Talk has always provided reliable and affordable service, and, most importantly, friendly customer service on the rare occasions I have called them. I travel extensively, primarily road trips, and have never been inconvenienced by not having cell service. I have never before experienced a company that continues to provide more minutes, data, etc., for the same price! And without even having to request it! The PureTalk service meets our needs. While the signal is not ass string as Verizon in this valley it is adequate. We have LTE and can use it locally and in nearby towns. When we travel it provides signal in most places we travel. Montana has several spots where no one on any device or network receives signal. We like the fact it was started by veterans and like to support such businesses.

You said we were grandfathered. Then took away our abilities to add minutes or change balances causing us to go without service forcing me to change plans. I have had Pure Talk USA for about three years, maybe longer, I have never had any issues. When I changed phones I called customer service with questions and they were able to help me and very courteous. I have never been on hold for more than two or three minutes when I have called with questions and the questions are because I know very little about technology. I have used my phone with no problems in California, Mississippi, Iowa and on board a train going across country. The price is amazing as is the customer service.

Pure Talk gives me excellent cell service, with good coverage, at a fair price. For a phone upgrade, PureTalk offered an older Samsung Galaxy (brand new) smartphone at a fraction of the cost of the current model purchased elsewhere.

Never in my life thought I would have such great cell service for such a nice price. Started out with a $10 per month flip phone, then added a $5 per month flip phone, but now have 2 smartphones on the $20 per month unlimited talk & text, and couldn't be happier. The young lady who corrected our problem was outstanding and had our problem fixed in just a few seconds. I don't remember the lady that fixed our problem, however, she was very courteous. Works well in town and on interstates but when at our river camp only Verizon or T-Mobile works ok. Mostly no service with the pure network. That is why we had to switch 1 line to a T-mobile reseller.

Pure Talk has a much better price for what I need than Straight Talk. There are also no contracts and I don't have to pay for what I don't use. Service has been great. Absolutely no complaints... Good chance my husband will be switching this year too.

My last phone I had for less than 2 yrs, and it completely wore out. When I tried to use it for the last time, it showed it was an 8 yr old phone. I am a senior, and can't afford to buy a replacement phone every year or so.

I feel that it is very economical. Happy to be able to use my own phone. Reception has been adequate most of the time. In past there was long waiting when calling to discuss something. That problem has resolved. I want to use a smart phone but not pay for a lot of data. Pure Talk was the answer for me.

Currently I only use my phone when necessary. It is in my vehicle for emergencies, power outage at my residence or when I am out of town. So it makes it very economical on a fixed income. I was with another company and it cost me $14 a month for nothing!! This is only $5 a month and I get minutes and text service when I need it.

The website has been changed and no longer allows me to balance the minutes between phones when there is a rollover. I have emailed the company for help with no response. There is no phone number listed anywhere on the website, but I did find a number on the billing email I received.

Very happy. Rock solid performer. Customer service responds in a timely manner. You've even upgraded data for my existing plan and added that increase to my account automatically. I'm a fan. Pure Talk is not found in a typical Best Buy mobile counter. You actually have to a search on the web for mobile plans and it may show up.

I like the unlimited calls and text provided. I hated it when I experienced dropped phone service and weak signals even when just outside a building like at one VA hospital. I have made a few inquiries with other phone service and Internet provider. I am thinking I won't mind paying more if I can get Internet and phone service combined with another provider. But lately your service has been good without any new problems occurring.

I was tired of my forty dollar twenty-nine dollar plan. The fees and having to sign a new contract every time a better deal a came out was just too much. I started searching for different mobile service and found several good alternatives, but at $10/mo Pure Talk seemed to be my best option. I've been with PureTalk now since 2009 and can't think of any time I wasn't satisfied with the service.

Great service, but I think for older people on fixed incomes that there could be a cheaper cell phone service. i.e. I don't play games on my phone I only use maps and take photos I don't even really like talking on a phone.

I am a new customer, so I can only speak to my very limited experience, but so far I have chatted with 4 different customer service representatives and only one has treated me kindly. I even had one hang up on me! I made a mistake in setting up my SIM cards and having my numbers ported. There are 4 of us on my plan with 3 different plans. I was switching from AT&T to save money and since two of my children have flip phones. I apparently made a mistake when I was exported the numbers and my son's number, which has considerable less data than the plan that I picked for myself, were switched.
They will NOT fix the problem without charging me extra money! They have no problem lowering my son's data without any charges, but they won't up mine without charging more! What happened to companies that put the customer first and not their profits?! In the porting process there was never a chance to look at all four phone numbers to confirm my porting request, which just seems silly and a set-up for making mistakes.

I have been a PureTalk customer for years. Very pleased with the coverage. My bill is auto deducted each month, no worries about upgrading or price increases. No contracts! No commitments! I can cancel anytime but have had no reason to do so. I would recommend to anyone and have.

My one hang up is that I can't send multimedia messages via text which is a great inconvenience! I can receive them if I have wireless connection but can't reply to any group text messages or forward those with pics.

From time to time coverage in our home area (Milpitas CA) seems weak, leading to calls that break up. That's my only complaint. I would consider myself a light phone data user so my plan is more than adequate and quite good value.

I've been using PureTalk for couple of years now and very happy with the service. One of the best carriers in U.S. and still does not have enough recognition. I try to recommend your service to everyone I know.... but unfortunately people are afraid to deal with company that they don't know or never heard about. Another thing that a lot of people are pointing out is that they buy not only carrier service but also a product (iPhone/Android) with it. So people are locked on the contract and after contract inspiration they are too lazy to make a switch, especially to a company they never heard about.
I wish you good luck and continue to provide great service. My advice would be to develop a viral campaign to spread a word about your company. Preferably not as a serious commercial, but very playful one... acknowledging people laziness and not being able to research the possibilities that are around them. Also try to market yourself towards students since it's the majority of users that would make a move and at the same time care about savings.

Pure Talk is an excellent cell phone service. I have always been very pleased with the phone and the service. Pure Talk is so very affordable and they are honest and upfront about their prices. There are no hidden fees and it is easy to keep up with the billing.

I was happy with 300 minutes per month for $10 but that plan was discontinued and my price doubled to $20. I will shop other services when time permits because I don't like my price doubling and the plan I need being discontinued!

I called for my dad, his minutes had run out because he was talking more on his phone after my mom died. His name is Robert **. This is who the account is under. Everyone was helpful and offered suggestions for new plans and payment options. He was back with minutes very quickly! We find the service to be choppy at times but generally it is great!

The service has been excellent & so has the price! One detail I would like to see change - I have unlimited talk & text, but every time I end a call, I get a message that I have __ number of minutes remaining and I have to clear that from my phone before I can do anything else. I don't understand why.

I love Pure Talk USA because they are very helpful if I have a problem. I have never had a problem with their service. I have broken a phone and had to replace it. For me, they have better coverage than any of the other networks and I have never had a dropped call. Their company is based in Covington Georgia and not in another country. I can understand everyone I talk to there. I will always have them as my carrier as long as I have a cellphone. Best cellphone company ever. Thanks.

I would have given 5 stars, however my service just stopped after a year. It happened on a weekend when Pure Talk's customer service was closed. So I found H20. Their customer service was open, and for the same price I receive double the data. During that year I had no problems with the service, except my sister could never receive texts from me or vice versa. Good luck!

When I purchased Pure Talk and got a phone at the local Sears store it died and I needed to get another. I purchased one directly from Pure Talk and it has never uploaded or downloaded pics or videos. I emailed Pure Talk and as yet no response.

I agree with those writers complaining about the recent changes to the website. Losing the ability online to manage minutes between family members is a MAJOR mistake. As seniors, we use our phones very infrequently, but when we do, we both need the minutes!!! In the past, all of the minutes each month were added to my phone only so I had to go into my account and balance them. It was annoying, but I put up with this routine because of the cost. Now apparently, I must call each month and have an agent balance the minutes OR switch to a more expensive plan with a texting option we don't need. Come on, Pure Talk, there's gotta be a better solution. I may end up opting to look elsewhere...

Data coverage is very spotty in cities like Newport, OR, where other providers have better coverage and speed. Also, coverage doesn't seem to make much sense. I have better reception on off roads than in certain parts of the town. Considering a switch.

On Friday, June 22nd I ordered a SIM card to be sent to me 2-3 business days and spent $15.00. The delivery was first going FedEx which was wrong as I have PO Box, they switched to USPS Priority which got lost. They finally after many many phone calls sent it FedEx. It arrived Saturday and didn't work. Tech support was no help, Candace did not call me back on Saturday when I was told by Portia she would. My son was leaving on Sunday for vacation with no phone except his iPhone which he didn't want to take. I want a credit for phone #**. FULL CREDIT $42.00. I held for 15 mins on Saturday afternoon. I was locked out of my account for no reason. Tried password reset multiple times to no avail!!!

What's not to like? Over the years data caps have increased and plan pricing has decreased. Advertised rate is the rate you are charged; there are no extra taxes or "administrative" fees. Customer support has been unfailingly polite the few times I've called and website provides easy account management. Coverage area is quite good, though there are some gaps in remote areas and I wasn't able to get service in Canada.

Forced into a higher-price plan - While I was hospitalized I was told my minutes on the 300 minute per month $10 plan had been used and I would be required to switch to a $20 a month plan. I logged into my account. Was informed I had at least 200 minutes left. Since I needed my phone I switched. A few weeks ago, on the unlimited plan, I was informed I had run out of minutes. Not possible. Con and fraud.

We are pleased with the service of our phone, but are not happy with how it is billed. We do not want to be on autopay. And we shouldn’t have to enter our account information and credit card every time we make a payment. Please fix your software to reflect this and to allow us to pay ahead before the billing date for the following month. We get error messages constantly that the bill is not paid, but it always is. I find your rates are competitive and the service is mostly favorable. You need to include phone and text service to Canada. You need to have a lower rate option for seasonal users who want to keep their number active during months when actual usage is zero.

Voice ok. Data and mms has never worked reliably. All I have been told is remove the battery and reboot the phone in order to send an mms. Constant data interruptions. That is not right. The only good thing about the service is it's cheap. But you get what you pay for I guess.

This is a great service. Billing is simple and accurate. Customer support on the very few times I've been in contact is professional, accurate, and always friendly. I carry the phone primarily for safety if I need AAA or some other service, but am finding it quite convenient for business calls when I'm out and about. The only times my calls haven't gone through is when phone service in my area is down and only emergency calls are allowed through.

I came to PureTalk from Virgin Mobile years ago, when I got a $5 line for myself, after adding my daughter. The only issue I've had is waiting on hold and getting transferred around for data not working properly. Actually, my data has never worked on my phone since it was given to me free when you changed plans and upgraded me (from a cheaper plan). Would love to have data, but not worth trying to reach someone.

Pure Talk has handled existing customers during the rollout of the new plans very poorly. The changes to the customer web portal are extremely frustrating, and existing customers were not notified as to when these changes would actually occur. We are unable to redistribute minutes to sublines on our family plan, and the customer service phone number was removed from the website as well. I feel like we were treated very poorly even though we have been loyal customer for several years. A discount offer or some other gesture of appreciation would have gone a long way towards maintaining that loyalty, instead of making things extremely frustrating. We were offered a discount for the new plans but not until after I complained. Your new plans do not save us money and we will be looking for a new carrier.

We signed up for PureTalk several years ago as a great way to provide our children with cell phones, yet avoid photo and internet use. The name of the company is, after all, PureTalk, implying your focus is talking, not data. However, PureTalk discontinued the family plan we had for very reasonable rates. Though our plan is grandfathered in and we still have it, we cannot add up to 5 lines, as we expected when we started PureTalk.
We have 3 lines, and were going to add one for our daughter, but were not allowed to. Additionally, though we are grandfathered in, PureTalk has changed their website so that we cannot distribute our minutes across the three phones we have without having to call a customer service representative. This is absolutely ridiculous and a huge waste of time. It seems like PureTalk does not want to offer talk-only plans any longer, and wants to drive their customers out of their traditional plans into undesirable new options involving more expensive phones, plans, and internet usage.
It is likely we will search for another provider. This is disappointing because PureTalk had provided a great option for kids cell phones and we have been very happy with you for several years. We highly recommended them to other parents who wanted to keep in touch with their kids, yet protect them from the internet and social media.
Additionally, as a parent, I want to explain why I do not want a smart phone or internet use for my children. As you are surely aware, the internet is filled with ** and fake news. Social media has led children to greater feelings of isolation and depression. Some people today are so focused on their phones and devices that they lack the ability to carry on normal relationships or interact in normal ways with the actual people in the room with them.
I want something better for my children: the ability to communicate with me. A regular cell phone provides that, but a smart phone does not. Thank you for your consideration. I hope that Puretalk will return to offering normal plans and allow us to continue the plan we already had without the nuisance of calling customer service every month to distribute our minutes.

In the past, I have been able to assign my air minutes in my family plan, but this month I called, because there is a different homepage, and the lady who answered, was very rude and sharp, her explanation was "that is the way it is, and that is all." I don't like to treat people with respect and be treated the same way.

I called PureTalk because since the webpage has been updated, you are no longer able to view the Family Plan page and share your minutes. This was a feature I really enjoyed because I could share minutes among the three of us in our family if someone was getting low. Now you have to call PureTalk directly and have them do it for you. I don't want to have to do this all the time and wish that you would bring back the feature where I could do it myself.

I am very disappointed with your new website. I can no longer go to the PureTalk web page to adjust our minutes. I now have to call to talk with a representative to do this same task. I was on hold for 15+ minutes! In the past when I could do it myself, it was a 2 minute job. I really don't understand the reasoning behind changing such a convenient way to manage your plan. I would think this is also inconvenient for you as well, dealing with the high volume of calls, so a representative can do the job in which the customer was quite capable of doing themselves. I do hope you change your mind on this matter and go back to how it was before.

We had Verizon for many years before finding out about PureTalk USA. We are so happy that we switched! We get very good cell phone service. Never dropped calls, we have yet to run out of minutes because they roll over the minutes you don't use each month. We save lots of money (over $65.00) every month compared to what we were paying for Verizon.

I don't understand how other cell phone companies can compete with PureTalk's service or prices. Starting a new account online could not be easier. I have not met anyone who has heard of Puretalk but I always recommend Puretalk to them. Once I show them your site, services offered and prices they always say they are going to switch over. It would be nice if PureTalk could send out a notice saying I was close to going over my text allowance for the month. Instead, I was frustrated that people were not replying to my time-sensitive texts, and only found out they had run out when I called customer service. It would also be nice if talk and text units/minutes were combined in the the same bucket, so that talk minutes could be borrowed if I exceed text minutes, and vice versa.

We purchased this phone and plan for emergency use. We really have no need for a full time cell phone, so paying $5 per month for 80 minutes is the perfect plan for us. We rarely use the phone, but when we have power outages, we can still call the power company. It give us peace of mind.

In the last few months I have noticed we are being billed repeatedly for the same texts. In a few instances seven texts at the exact same second. We are not big texters and have looked at our phones which show a short, one or two sentence text being charged multiple times. On some days we are charged for up 5x what we actually sent and received. I was actually going to make a complaint to the FCC or FTC.

If talking on phone, when another call comes in, it does not let me know somebody called and does not show missed call. If this problem can not be fixed, I may have to change my service, I am missing too many important calls. Your people says they can't fix it.

I've been with Puretalk now for over a year, and have had no issues. The phone service is great, and priced right. I just get the basic phone and text for $20.00 a month. Only caveat is that you can't send pictures. But compared to Verizon, you can't beat it.

It was a cheap alternative to highly inflated prices that poor people can't afford. It feels like the prices are climbing now. I'm looking at possibly canceling services if prices go higher. I hardly ever use the service. Just a landline of necessity to take calls and make a couple calls. That which I seldom do. As an internet provider not interested in cell phones. I am not a new customer. I cannot call. I do not want to call. I cannot memorize or take notes or remember or revisit. Please direct me on what I should do. I have three phone lines for which I pay a base of $20 a month for all three and allocate the minutes to the line needed. What do you now offer that is comparable to my current family plan?

The amount I pay for my plan is very satisfactory. The service signal is not very good. I have never had more than two bars for my service no matter where I have been. And in some places I have no service at all. The area code 30276 Senoia Ga. That area has no service. But this is not limited to just PureTalk. My friends are on different carriers and they also cannot get service in that area. If PureTalk could secure reliable service in that area they could gain a huge amount of new clients.

I have a family plan and one other line. I am very disappointed my statements no longer have the rollover hour included. Also I want to refer friends to your service. I no longer see the $10 plan. For that reason they are looking for other service providers. The prices of your phones have gone through the roof. So I will not be purchasing any phones from you in the future. The only reason I continue to stay with you is because my personal rates so far haven't increased. Once they do I will be looking else ware as well. For as little as I use my phone to be charged any more then that will be unacceptable for by budget. I would hate to change providers. I love your customer service. Every so often when I call everyone I spoke with have been great, very professional pleasant and friendly.

I have no questions. My experience has been just great. My wife and I both use this service and with our age, it is just what we need. We only use it as a phone. Sometime at home we use our wifi but very seldom. At home we have computers.

I really like my service BUT sometimes, about 3 times a week, my phone will drop calls if I am on the phone speaking to someone else on another cellular phone. It's not that bad but it can be frustrating at times. This is why I rate my service as 4 out of 5 Stars. The Price is The Best you can find for the service offered!

The latest changes to the company website make it impossible for people on the family plan to re-allocate minutes to different phones and you have to call Customer Service to have this done. Unfortunately, Customer Service Hours are VERY restricted, making it inconvenient for their customers.
The family plan is one of our legacy plans. Unfortunately due to technological advances in our customer portal, the ability to move minutes is no longer available online. You can call customers service to have them do it for you, but you may also just email us at info@puretalkusa.com, and we can do it for you that way as well. I am not happy that I can no longer manage my Family Plan on-line. Now I have to call, wait 11 minutes on hold, only to find out that I can no longer do what I used to do in under 1 minute. It is also extremely difficult to find a phone number to call when you need to speak to a person. Everything on the website now seems to center only around Sales and NOT customer service. I have recommended PureTalk to a few people (who did take the plan) and I certainly will not recommend it in the future. Your site assumes that everything will go 'right', there is no easy way to address questions or issues that your customers may have that are not outlined on your sales pages. Been a customer for a long time, may not be much longer.

I have a family plan and was used to going to your website each month to move minutes from the main line to another line, however this option is no longer available. It is not convenient to have to call you every month to move minutes for me. Is there some way you can add this back to your site? Also a contact phone # cannot be found anywhere on your site. I am pleased with the service and the ease of the use of it, but this issue has caused a bit of inconvenience.

My account was transferred on June 14, 2018. You did not release the transfer in order to charge me the $10.00 on June 17, 2018. You did not transfer my service until June 20, 2018 and I was without service. According to your agent you were not given the correct address. They had only one address to give. Your company hijack me for $10.00. When I called for a refund I was told it was impossible to get. According to you.

I very much enjoy the fact that PTU increases my bandwidth upper limit every six months or so with little or no increase in cost. I am seriously considering dropping my cable internet subscription as a result, using a hotspot from my phone as needed. Customer Service experience has been pleasant. No complaints from me. This translates into a limited customer service experience but hey, we're talking DEEP discount for a service that would cost three to four times as much without any discernible difference in performance. Very unhappy with the decision to take away the management function of the family plan. I was also told the family plan will be terminated and my account minutes will be lost. When I signed up for the plan I was told the minutes would never terminate or be lost.

During a recent long term power outage, my landline was dead, and had only my cell. When I ran out of minutes and called to buy more, I was told it was no longer an option, and I should "upgrade" my plan to one which costs FOUR times more per month as much as my current one. As a senior on a fixed income I cannot afford to "upgrade" to a plan four times more expensive, and you should be ashamed of yourselves using such tactics to force seniors on a fixed income to have to pay more!
We previously offered a plan that was $5 with a set number of minutes, and you could purchase additional minutes if you ran out. Unfortunately we no longer offer that plan, nor the ability to purchase extra minutes. All of our current plans offer Unlimited Talk & Text with data, starting at $20 per month. We have allowed our customers to stay on our older plans, but unfortunately we are unable to support the ability to purchase extra minutes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I logged in to purchase additional minutes or slide some minutes from my husband's phone line to my phone line, as we have done for years, but this apparently is no longer allowed. Those options are gone. There is no explanation. When I clicked on support, I was steered to choose my problem from a drop down box, but my problem is not there. I have spoken so highly of Pure Talk for years to my friends and family. I hope they can fix this problem.

The plan you are currently on is one of our older plans we no longer offer, yet we have allowed our customers to remain on the plan. Recently, we needed to make some technological updates to our customer portal (aka “MY ACCOUNT”). The good news is, our customer service agents are still able to move the minutes between lines for you.

I was with Pure Talk for years and had no problem. I cancelled for a few months then came back. I have had nothing but problems since. First I had no data and could not text, send or receive MMS. I made several phone calls and you reset the phone and had me manually enter settings. Nothing helped. Removed sim and tried it in another identical phone. I now have data & text but there is a constant problem with phone calls. I receive some and others say they go directly to VM but I never receive the messages. When I try to make phone calls, they cut out or are dropped. This has been going on for 3 months now. I am paying for service I don't have. My husband is on my acct, has the exact same phone and no problem.

All in all quite satisfied with PureTalk... Though I wish there was a $15.00 Plan for those of us who do more texting than talking. Being able to receive or send a photo occasionally is nice also and I greatly appreciate that on the $10.00 Plan. I just wish there was more texting time.

When I purchased my plan, I could purchase min if needed. Now that option has been taken away. It is clear that you want to get rid of the $10 deal. Instead of stepping up and making this announcement, and offering a revised plan, you chose to play an unfriendly game by making changes, because you can. Bad business.

Unable to contact you on weekends, phone shut off with no way to contact you to recharge, unable to find account online, no notice about amount of mins being charged to phone. Very weak signals in dept stores, unable to receive calls or call out. I am cancelling service next week.
Updated on 07/16/2018: I requested that my account be closed at the end of the billing cycle but still you kept the account open and charged my card again. What's the problem? Cancel the account already and credit my card for the amount just charged $20.00.
Our customer service department is open Monday through Saturday, but we are closed on Sundays. It sounds like you could possibly benefit from changing to one of current Unlimited Talk & Text plans that start at $20 per month, so you no longer have to worry about running out of minutes.

We are most pleased with the services at PureTalk. Switching to PureTalk was easy and saved us 75% of our prior cellphone billing. The coverage is very good (uses At&T network) and the personnel are friendly and ready to help resolve any issues that come up (very few, mostly at beginning about compatible cellphones).

Pure TalkUSA uses AT&T's network. They are the most competitive outfit. A Senior plan costs only $ 5/month for 130 minutes. They also sell cellphones. Their service is very good. They also have family-plans which are unbeatable! Unfortunately for consumers: They are not known!

I wrote this review because I saw mostly negative reviews. I have been with Pure TalkUSA since January 3rd of this year. Yes it was a little problem getting my phone unlocked but not one problem since. My friend recommended it & she loves it. So I told my sister and she loves it too! So I tried it and nothing has changed. I still have unlimited talk, text & data! The only difference is my bill is now $40.00 less each month!!! I am retired and that is most important! I love Pure Talk and have had NO PROBLEM! I am very very happy! My sister & I still text & talk all day long like we did before. Nothing has changed! Wish I had changed sooner!

I contacted Pure Talk to make sure my phone will work on their network. Gave them the M... on my current phone. They told me, "No problem. It will work." I knew my phone was clear and not blocked by my last company as they told me so and I ran a check on my phone which told me it was clear. Paid the 26.88 for the sim and first month of service. Finally after 4 days got the sim. Called them, got that part straightened out and they gave me a phone number. Restarted the phone and it asked for a access code. PT is telling me it's a block from my previous company. My previous company said it's not and PT has to give me the unlock code.
This all fell on a Saturday near the end of the day. So here I sit with no cell and a loss of 25.88. Also when asked about porting my number I was told it was the weekend and that department was closed so I had to get a new number. So with my phone not working I went on PT and looked at their phones and there is no way I can afford any of them. A lot of your cell providers offer 0.00 phones or low cost but PT is way too expensive. On the plus side they do have good coverage and decent monthly plan prices.

I have used Puretalk for about 3 years now. My company had provided me a mobile phone (iPhone 5s on Verizon) and I needed a mobile after I retired. On a neighbor's recommendation, I purchased a smartphone (Pantech) from Puretalk with their basic $10/month plan. This phone was an old model that Puretalk replaced for free when it failed after a month. A year later I purchased a new unlocked smartphone (Blu Life Plus) from Amazon and upped my plan to include data ($19/month) and then later added more data making it $29/month for unlimited voice and text and 3 GB of data. I recently replaced the Blu with a Motorola G5 Plus after I accidentally shattered the screen of the Blu. The new phone was also purchased from Amazon.
Puretalk Customer Support. I have had little issues with the Puretalk customer support. The initial setup was straightforward and took perhaps 15 minutes once the phone arrived. Getting the broken Pantech phone was simply a phone call. The replacement arrived in two days and worked out of the box once the SIM was swapped. The transition to the Blu phone was more challenging as the phone was not recognized out of the box and a call to tech support was required. Tech support had the phone up and running in about 15 minutes. The transition to the Motorola phone was transparent. I just swapped the phone and everything magically migrated to the new phone.
The closest thing to a negative experience was when I upgraded my plan online mid-billing cycle from the base plan to an unlimited plan. I did not understand a prepaid plan is billed and got upset when I found I was being charged for both the base plan AND the new plan. A call to a patient customer support person resolved my confusion AND got me a partial refund for the data plan I had with the base plan. (Do not switch plans mid-billing cycle!). Puretalk Coverage. Coverage is full AT&T coverage. Not as good as Verizon in rural coastal California, but good enough and speedy enough most other places.

I had Pure TalkUSA for two months. I had trouble with my phone right away. It was always say emergency use only. I contacted technical support with this problem. Got it fixed. The next day the same thing happen. Went through the same procedure. This was occurring every two days so on the 9th of this month I changed companies to Metro PCS. When I asked for the money that I paid for this month Pure Talk says it does not give refunds because they are a buy here pay here company but the phone that they gave me they have turned off the service too so I will be out of $ 24.00. I think that if I cannot use the phone they should refund the money that I spent on the service. So I rate them a 0 as a company. I suggest that no one use this company.

My family has 4 phones. The service is AT&T so the quality is fine, we've never had any issues in 5 years. You just have to realize that for a cheaper rate you're going to give up something. Which is acceptable for me as I have saved hundreds by now. I have always been happy with their customer service, but I am not surprised to hear others have not. I bought an unlocked phone for Christmas, ordered a sim card from Pure Talk site (I paid 3 bucks). It arrived in 3 days. I called customer service, phone was working in 5 minutes... That has always been my experience. I don't like that I can no longer add additional minutes when I run out. That was a nice feature, but the unlimited plan is only 20 something bucks... I'm cheap and try to go with lowest plans. Hope this helps.

Their customer service have hours of only 9:00am to 6:00pm eastern time, which are the same hours I work 7:00am to 4:00 pm mountain time. So customer service could not help me. Phone could not recognize the sim card, and their website would not recognize my account number even though I copied and pasted it from their email. What gives.

Do not waste your money on Pure TalkUSA. I paid extra to expedite the phone before my trip, but it did not work. Then I called their so-called tech support and waited for 25 minutes to talk to someone. The tech support could not help either and wanted to send me a new sim card. They said that if the sim card does not work they will send me a new phone. I told them that I need a phone within the next 3-4 days before moving to another state. They can not ship you anything FedEx or priority mail. When I told them to give me an RMA to return the defective phone they became rude and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor, save your time and money, and do not use Pure TalkUSA. It is very close to a scam.

Called to activate new smart phone. Couldn't get SIM to be recognized. The tech guy says to push the card in more. Well, I told him that I had it pushed in as far as possible. "No, you don't - you have to push it in to make the door pop up." "What door?" "I'm trying to help you." "There isn't a door." "Yes you have to push it in farther." "I can't push it farther - wait now I can't get it out." "Yes push it in farther." "Well now it will not come out!" Ended up bending the connection plate - had to send it back to manufacturer and pay $75 because of THEIR ignorance about this phone. Still have no service - still will not read the card and they are very RUDE. Why take out a bad experience on an innocent customer?

It was a good price for the length of time that I needed it. Not many features, but I did not need them. There were several options available in different lengths, features and price ranges. I chose the phone and service plan that I needed at that time. I did not have to give any of personal information to obtain the phone. Could not lose and credit or personal information. Felt comfortable using the phone. The phone performed well. Worth the price that I paid for it. Nothing fancy and nothing out of the ordinary. If need I would use again.
