    It must be the nature of the beast with RF waves, the service would be great in town then all of the sudden, no signal for a mile or so. Then does it again a few miles down the road. I stream quite a bit and noticed this happens quite often around the Colorado Springs area.

    Signal is normal. There are areas where I can't get a signal. However, PureTalk must not have any filter to remove spam calls & emails. I receive multiple calls every day & emails that are spam. I hardly use the phone because I'm afraid I will run out of minutes and emails because of the spam. The calls continue to happen even though I registered with Do Not Call.

    Around the first of September I got a text that there was a problem with our account, I called and discovered that the CC you had on file was one that had been compromised and my CC company had cancelled it and issued me a new one. I gave this info to your customer service lady and was told all was good. 5 days later my service was cut off. I called again, several times, with an average wait of about 30 minutes. Plus my wife had called 3 or 4 times prior to that wasting a our 2 hours. All of those calls got dropped in the middle of our conversations.

    When I finally got through and explained the situation, we discovered you still had my original, discontinued, cc on file. I gave this customer service lady the correct info again and she got it in and ran the bill for the upcoming month and said our service would be restored momentarily. 3 hours later it was still not working. I again called, talked to two additional agents and a technician, all of which calls got cut off in the middle. We wasted a total of 5-6 hours trying to resolve this problem and finally gave up. The next morning we were still with our service, so we resolved the problem by switching back to Verizon. I would really appreciate it if you would refund our payment, as we never used your service (because we couldn’t) that month. It’s the right thing to do!

    Enjoyed service so far, but I am having issues when someone sends an image to me via text, I can not receive? I use to be able to receive images. Also, if I send an extended text message, it gives me a failure to deliver. Never had an issue before getting PureTalk, so I am disappointed with these two issues.     I just drove with my daughter across the country on I-80 from New York to Wyoming and then up to I-84 to Oregon. ALL across Wyoming I had no cell service. I had to rely on my daughter's ATT service on her phone to communicate with my husband. My niece who I referred to Pure Talk, had a poor experience in lower central Kansas so switched to another service. From these experiences I am finding Pure Talk doesn’t work in some areas. We travel a lot and need reliable service. My husband won’t be switching to Pure Talk for this reason. I am disappointed that the service doesn’t work all over the US. Is this going to change in the near future?

    My experience with Pure TalkUSA cell service rates ZERO stars. I was unable to send photos with text messages, calls did not go through. Continually received "network unavailable" messages.     I recently transferred 4 lines from T- Mobile to PureTalk. I thought the coverage would be the same (T- Mobile and PureTalk use AT&T towers). Well coverage might be the same but reception is not. T- Mobile - 3 bars, with PureTalk - one, two maybe. That is minor compared to their data plan. I got the 30Gb plan, so far so good. After I used up the 30 gigs I had no internet. When I talked to tech support I was told that after 30 gigs is used up you are slowed to 25 kbps (kilobytes!). Essentially no access. Ookla speed test shows 0mbps when and if I can get it to connect. Yes, I know, buyer beware, but in their plan description all they tell you is that you will have 'slower' speeds (T-Mobile - 512kbps min.) Their Broadband Disclosure states "transmission speeds will be limited to a significantly slower speed (e.g., 128 Kbps)". Something is not right and they do not want to correct it.

After all of the high speed data has been used, you should be able to access data at a throttled speed of 128 kbps. If you are having trouble connecting when attempting to utilize the throttled data, this may be due to your location. We recommend staying connected to a WiFi source when possible. The signal in your area may not be strong enough to connect at this speed. We can confirm that your refill date is on the 3rd of every month. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.

    You advertise that you have call forwarding included in your plans but that really isn't true. A person has to call in and give the operator a number to have their phone forwarded to. This doesn't really work since it takes about 20 minutes to get to an operator. If I need to change my forwarding number several times a day this is a major hassle. For instance when I get to work I forward it to work. When I leave work I unforward it.

    Just those two times could equate to 30 to 40 minutes on hold to get my forwarding working. I don't understand why you don't enable the consumer controlled options in the switch like every other carrier does including Cricket. I should be able to go right into the settings my phone and forward my phone to any number I want in about 10 seconds flat rather than waiting 10 minutes for your operator to do it for me period. Not only that but why would you want to pay an operator an hourly wage for something that I can do in seconds. Please have your switch tech guys look at the settings they're using and understand how to turn on the user controlled access to call forwarding.

    Overall we are pleased with the service. We have experienced difficulty completing calls late in the evening when cell traffic should be low. I call my husband's number to inform him that I am leaving work and what time he can expect me. I get a recording saying my "call has been forwarded". My husband never receives a "missed call" or any message. In case of a emergency it would be critical to have these calls completed. Need a fix!

    Friends and family have to call my home phone to get me. I'm a veteran, a member of AMAC for 5 years and I hear your praises every day on Rush Limbaugh show.     My phone will receive MMS pictures or group texts at all. To get the texts I must shut off and restart my phone or lose service (like when I’m driving and lose service and then get it back).     Updated on 2/20/2021: The phone I ordered July 2020, is not at all what I was hoping to get in a good, reliable cell phone! I have had several issues with it since I purchased it. I recently called Pure Talk USA about these issues, and was told to contact Nokia warranty, which I did. I followed all of the steps that the warranty department spokesperson told me to, and ended up sending the phone to them to get fixed. They sent me a new Nokia 2.2, which made me feel very hopeful that the issues would be resolved. I still have missed calls, have to attempt to sent text messages 2 or 3 times before they finally send, and I am not able to use my mobile data when I am out of a wifi area!! I am not happy with this phone or with Pure Talk USA!!!

    I have called several times and the problem is still not solved. Since I originally switched to Pure Talk in July, I have not been able to send MMS messages and it is now the end of September. The last time I spoke with someone they tried like 3 different things to solve the problem and none of them worked so they said they'd have to create a ticket for the problem because it is above Pure Talk's ability to solve.     I signed up with Pure Talk to save money on my cell phone bill. What a mistake! They took seventy dollars from me to sign up and receive sim cards. One of them didn't work so I had to wait for another one. Then I went through a back and excuse session on why they could not port my phone numbers from Verizon. I called technical assistance, then after a long wait they answered and redirected my call, then another long wait I spoke to someone who told me they would not refund my money because it had been longer than 30 days. This was not my fault but the fault of the porting department.

    For the first month, my wife and I absolutely LOVED PureTalk. The Customer Service reps are awesome; friendly, easy to understand (fluent English speaking) and super helpful throughout the entire switch-over and installation process. I travel a lot for work and never had any issues with service or anything else; it worked exactly as my ATT account did for about a month. And then, I received a NO SERVICE reading on my phone; I cannot make or receive calls. I use my iPhone for work so I have no idea how many business-related calls I have missed since my service went out.

    It's been at least a day thus far. And guess what -- super-insightful tip: When your phone has NO SERVICE, you can't contact customer support. I did all the usual stuff; checked my account status online which was current and paid in full, reset the service on my phone, switched different things off and on all to no avail. I can't contact PureTalk because they do not have a Chat option on their website and again, I have no phone service. When I tried to set up GoogleTalk so I could make phone calls via the internet, I received an error message saying they could not use the number I had provided. So here I sit, an entire day wasted, and I still have no idea if my service is magically going to reappear at some point in the near future or not. What started out as a dream come true is quickly devolving into a nightmare. I hesitate to drag out the timeworn "you get what you pay for", however...

    We started with Pure Talk in July. It is now October and we finally got a SIM card that works with my wife's phone. Many calls and hours on hold. All the people we talked with have been extremely friendly and courteous, but typically not helpful. They are unable to make any decisions without talking to their manager and they can rarely get a manager when needed. Whenever we ask to speak to a manager we are told that one is not available, and I often feel that the service person is covering for a poorly managed company.

    I have had Pure Talk for a couple months now and my phone seems to handle everything nicely except for two major things. If I am in a group chat with people who own Androids, I do not receive those messages unless I have my data turned on. And if someone with an Android sends me a picture, I only receive that message if I have my data turned on. This has been a massive headache for me and I have been looking for another service, since my parents don’t have issues with this on their iPhones and they use a different service. Coming from a large family and a constantly having different group chats going on, I am disappointed and frustrated with this problem.

    Initially, I chosen this provider because of the low price. However, the ads were improper because low price is for the first month only. For all the further months prices are higher than of competitors.     When I dial a phone number there is a significant delay before it connects and begins ringing. About 1 in 10 times it doesn't connect at all and I have to end the call and start over. It did not do this with Verizon, my previous carrier - same phone. Even more aggravating is that I can no longer send texts with media, like a picture. Again, that worked fine on Verizon.     In general I'm very pleased with everything about my experience with PureTalk. Value, quality, cell service and customer service has been great.     I purchased a Samsung e10a, and the phone did not get service. I could sit right next to my wife with her phone and she would have 3-4 bars, me none so I called Pure Talk 1/2 dozen times, after being on the phone sometime for over an hour someone would answer and send me to someone else for over an hour. Long story short sent the phone back within the 14 days (had it for 5 days). Did everything they said to do. 3 days later we called to see about a different phone. Nope no can do. Said I would get my refund back and then they tried to get away not paying me back for the monthly plan I bought. Anyhow 2 1/2 weeks later still ain't got my money, BUYERS BEWARE.     Warning: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Confusion abounds. Not a single customer service agent knew how to help me, was hung up on multiple times and tried for a solid 2 months to Support this small business and get service activated. They won’t be around for much longer with their terrible customer service agents and lack of communication with customers. Kept telling me I needed to port request my number from my old provider and then I needed my email address and account number to activate my service but you don’t get an account number until you activate your service. Come to find out they misspelled my email address so that put a cog in the system but I couldn’t update my email address without having access to my account anyways, which I needed to do anything else. Ultimately going to choose another provider. Have a feeling they won’t care.

    My experience is neutral in comparison to my previous carrier T-Mobile. I live in a rural area and the signal reception is weak and comparable to service with T-Mobile in that respect. However, since wi-fi calling is not supported by Pure Talk like my previous carrier, it’s a problem since I rarely have signal inside my home. Other features like ‘scam likely’ calls also aren’t designated as with previous carrier either. While my monthly service cost is two thirds that of T-Mobile, I’m not certain it makes up for the service differences. Neutral rating.

    We hooked up 4 phones in our household, 2 iPhone 7s, 1 Samsung S5 and an S7. The s5 and s7 don't receive a signal in our house, despite the fact that they worked fine under Sprint and the fact that the iPhones show multiple bars for most of the time. The service for the s5 and s7 is so bad that texts are often unable to be sent and received unless we put the phone outdoors. I now have to use my daughter's old iPhone 6 with a broken screen in order to continue looking for a job, but because it doesn't always stay connected and the 6 doesn't have wifi calling, I had to get a Google voice number to make it work for me. The only reason we continue is because I am unemployed and the cost fits our budget. Once I get a job again, I will likely return to Sprint unless the signal issue is addressed in our neighborhood.

    I switched from Spectrum to PureTalk. In theory it should have been plug and play easy - But ... Inserting the sim should have just brought up my phone. But it was "stuck" on Spectrum. I spent a couple of hours on the phone with a very helpful tech - we finally came to the conclusion that it had to be a Spectrum issue. The next day I spoke with Spectrum and spent an hour or so - they finally said that I'd need to reset the phone to factory. I did that and the phone was still stuck on Spectrum.

    I called PureTalk back and they patiently worked with me for a long time, once again. They were very helpful, but unable to solve the issue. My final attempt was to re-flash the phone. As soon as I did that I was able to connect to PureTalk. However the phone still starts with a Spectrum splash screen. Obviously the issue is something with Spectrum not properly or fully releasing the phone. Since that point my experience with PureTalk has been very good. Coverage is what I've been used to. Speed is what I'm used to. The only thing that is not what I'm used to is the price. I'm saving a lot of money and very happy for that.

    Overall our experience with Pure Talk has not been a good one. It has nothing to do with customer service. It's the actual service that we get using the AT&T network in this part of northern Colorado. We have taken a step back in terms of clarity of phone calls, receiving and sending a text messages etc. I'm sure it's just that AT&T doesn't have good coverage in this area. Honestly we're looking to move to a new carrier that might have better coverage in northern Colorado. We love the idea Pure Talk and what it offers and the affordability but the AT&T network leaves something to be desired.

    Went on a road trip end of July through first week in August in Arizona, Utah, Idaho and Wyoming and most of the trip had no service at all even in larger cities. Even passing large cell towers still had no service. Remote areas I expected no service but this was ridiculous. Been through those areas before and never had that much outage with Verizon or AT&T.     I am not a complainer by nature. But, I have never received such poor customer service. In late June my husband and I decided to switch to PureTalk based on an advertisement in AMAC. We confirmed that our phones were compatible and ordered two SIM chips that were shipped out on 6/23. Upon receiving them, we noted that this was not a quick process and were advised not to cancel our current plan until successful porting to PureTalk. Because of health concerns, we could not risk being without cell service.

    Upon trying to activate my husband's line on 6/29, we were on hold for 3 hours and transferred to 4 different customer service representatives, none of which could help us. Meanwhile my husband's number was ported out of Metro PCS but could not activate his phone because the 4th representative told us his phone was not compatible. We were then transferred to another representative who left me in tears. I am visually impaired and had carefully transferred the SIM number to a medium I could access, but she demanded that I remove the Chip and read the lines separately to her.

    I explained I was visually impaired and could not read directly from the chip. She refused to help because I refused to follow her instructions. I then requested that we stop activation so that we restore phone service with our original company. I do not recall the words but they were unpleasant and told me that we absolutely could not go back because we had asked to transfer our service to PureTalk. After this unpleasant call, I have made 4 requests in writing to cancel all PureTalk account. We had to obtain a new number for my husband. Unfortunately, we are still being charged for PureTalk cell service that we do not have.

    I decided to switch to Puretalk to save some money so I checked my IMEI number to see if my phone was compatible with the service and the puretalk website said it was. I ordered a sim kit and it came quick. Once I got the sim I started the setup. It was Monday. I emailed on Tuesday morning asking when my phone would be on. I get an email Wednesday that the pin was wrong so I called and fixed it. I was told my service would be active "within minutes." Called back 5 hours later and was told that my phone was NOT COMPATIBLE! I was on the phone for 4 hours being transferred around from one person to the next because I needed my phone number sent back to the old carrier. The old carrier sent the request and puretalk was refusing to accept the transfer back. I missed hours of work from not having my phone (needed to work) and from being on hold for hours. It's Thursday and I still have no phone and no refund. Stay away from this circus!

    I canceled my service because I was advised that my phone would on your system. However that wasn't the case. My was not compatible with your system. I cancelled the service some time ago and I am now informed that you are still are taking money from my account to pay for a service that was cancelled, 2. I was advised when I phone to cancel the service moneys would be reversed because I was advised by your techs that my would work when in fact upon starting the service is when I was advised that my phone would not work on your system.     I only get two or sometimes one bar of signal in my home, and no service in my shop/office building. Can only take voice mails once I exit the building. There are three “no service” areas on several of the roads I most frequently drive, and dropped calls are inevitable. When I inquired of the service coverage area for PureTalk, I was directed to an AT&T map that indicated the areas where I live and drive were covered with continuous 4G service. Don’t believe I’ve actually EVER gotten 4G since I gave up Verizon for your service.

    Had my phone activated on their system and after 2 weeks, STILL no phone service. Spent 2 full days on the phone with them and was finally told my phone was not compatible with their system due to the fact the phone was a 2G phone, I just got this phone 6 months before from VERIZON. I asked for a refund and was told it would go back on the card that I used when I purchased the plan, Still no refund and no phone service since Aug 12, 2020. I called customer service 3 times today, the 1st got hung up, the 2nd was on hold for 45 min., the third was told the supervisor would be with me in 5 to 10 min, after 25 mins hung up. Filed complaint with the FCC and contacted my lawyer. These people have no customer service skills and will put you on hold forever. Still no phone or refund. BIG RIPOFF COMPANY, BEWARE.

    Could not locate order number. Account number is **. Had connection problems when in car (away from WI Fi). I tried to use Google Maps for directions when I got lost. We still have problems getting connected when away from home. Texts came in unreadable: Said Download Here, but didn't when I pressed button. MMS not receivable, nor sendable by text. When we made transitions in the past, a live person helped get it done and dealt with problems. Supposedly settings were all taken care of, but I learned on my own that they weren't. I guess these problems have to do with the difference in amount paid for the service. We're sticking with Pure Talk because it's affordable, although extremely frustrating.

    We switched to PureTalk to get away from Verizon and save some money on the phone bill. One of the main reasons for going with PureTalk was that we were able to keep our old phones because we don't have the money to buy new phones. While in the process of talking to the rep and getting everything set up I had told the rep that we had to have wifi calling in order to make calls from our house because we have no service otherwise, no matter what carrier you have. We get our new cards and go to activate our phones and we have no working data and no wifi calling.

    We call tech support and she walks us through putting in the codes to get everything working right, she then informs us that there is no guarantee for wifi calling with android phones because they have a contract with Apple and that I should have been told about the wifi calling when I was ordering the cards and getting my account set up, but I was not informed. She that there was a cheap iPhone around $150 that we could get, but to wait a couple days and see if the wifi calling would kick in. Waited and still no wifi calling.

    So I call to see about getting the cheap iPhones and then I'm informed that it's only that price if you're not already a PureTalk customer, the actual price of the phones are $400. So needless to say I'm not too happy with the initial service, and really not happy with not being told everything beforehand. Service is ok in town, but I'm rarely in town. Still no wifi calling, which means our phones are useless at our house, and still no money for new phones.

    I am having issues with my phone. When I called the lady was very nice and put me thru to the tech support. The young man I spoke with told me he needed to check with AT&T about the service. In the meantime reset my phone in settings. My phone had a lot of static and you could only hear me from time to time. The reset helped but still have to do it every other day, so there is still something wrong with my phone and I never heard back from tech support.

    So far you've been very good domestically. When I signed up I didn't realize it would be a problem to call other countries. Calling you and buying an amount of time for a fee is a minor problem and I was willing to do that. However the fee expiring after 30 days really pissed me off. If I pay you for time to call other countries what possible reason is there for that payment to just expire if I don't use it right away or don't use all of it? This is my biggest pet peeve with your company. I have friends in Canada and the Dominican Republic. I'd like to think I can buy some time and have it for whenever I want to use it and not have to worry about it expiring on me and losing my money like that.
