    We transferred 4 lines from ATT and the reception we used to get was good. After switching to PureTalk, the reception went down...so much so that I had to move my office from where it was to the kitchen area in our house. Now I get good reception in the kitchen. Very frustrating.

    Customer service seems to lack the knowledge to answer questions. When I called to set up my voicemail, no one seemed to know how to do it. I figured it out myself. Also, when calling to figure out what happens if I run out of data, these people just said, "Oh nothing, it will just slow down." Other than the lack of accurate info, I'm super happy with PureTalk at this time.

    We switched from Verizon to PureTalk a few months ago and I have to say, our cell phone reception/connection services went down noticeably so, enough to where I called PureTalk to switch back to Verizon as your PureTalk svc. rep mentioned to the effect of there was going to be cell phone tower update (via ATT?) coming on board soon? So, in the meantime, we're going to wait it out and see if that does in fact happen and makes a difference. If not, we'll be switching back to Verizon as soon as able.

    The price is awesome, but advertisement did not make it clear that you need an unlocked phone for this to work. Also, there's no option for prioritization in busy areas, so I still get slow speeds in busy areas. Service is a bit slower than I used to have at T Mobile.

    Hotspots don’t work. I have tried multiple times with the tech folks to resolve this issue to no avail. I need this functionality and support is sorely lacking. My hotspot issue is not regarding the Android issue which is heavily documented in tech blogs online - I have an iPhone.

    It’s hard to get through and when I did trying to explain to the rep my request took forever. Then I was on hold for 10 min. With automatic payment I did not know I would be charged for paying early and then not have data replenished then have to purchase more data as well and not receive the full data amount.

    Bait and Switch on Phone prices. Still do not work correctly. No place I can go and get real help. No shopping allowed. If you don't buy phones right away the prices go way up. If you don't spend hours on phone getting transferred to different people all the time listening to the same recording after every transfer their third-party vendor uses the same delay tactics on the website, only to tell you that you waited too long to buy phones at the discount rate.

    Started out rough. We provided phone info only to find out after sign up that our phone was not compatible. We had to buy a new phone from Puretalk which was an unexpected cost so we went with a basic one. We can't really test data usage because the phone is awful.     I have a fairly neutral experience with PureTalk. The process of setting up my phone to work properly with them wasn't easy or seamless. Their customer support was mostly good (I ended up speaking with about a half dozen different help agents over the process of several different calls). I like that the support is based in the south, however the wait time on hold was almost always around a half hour, which is unacceptably long. I hate calling for support anyway, would rather find answers and help on the website, but that help section is inadequate. A better option than being stuck on hold for so long would be if they offered an option to have an agent call back when available.

    For the first two months of service, I was not able to download text items (pictures), or send pictures. Called for help and that did not work. Another month goes by. I called again and the person was able to help me. It was some issue with the SIM card. Got that fixed. Now my phone drops calls, both outgoing and incoming. I restart the phone and this seems to temporarily fix the situation for about a week. Then it starts again. I purchased two chips. I refuse to put the second one in my wife's phone. I will pay a higher monthly fee for hers to keep it working.

    Bought Nokia 6300 from Pure Talk, didn't work, sent back and got a new nokia 6300...Again did not work....Spent hours on phone to activate...Long wait times, discourteous and misinformed agents. Customer for 10 + yrs and thinking of leaving due to poor service. Agents did not help me select a new phone so am ordering one from outside pure talk...They did not offer any help with problems could not fix and refused to honor the company's 14 day return policy...It has been a hassle since June 8 with no phone and no help from company agents or even an ok that I would be reimbursed for over 2 weeks with no service.

    Extremely dissatisfied with customer service. Most agents do not even know about the 14 day return and have to fight with them and call back in until I get informed agent who knows the policies, and then it is a fight to get them to them to get label and shipping costs paid for..Hey, most companies that ship a defective item give you free shipping when you are returning an item. This company offered nothing. I have been a customer for 10 plus years and this is the hassle I have to go through? I feel that they should pay to have me ship the non working phone back the second time. Am buying a phone else where. I feel they should reimburse me for the time I have not used the service since June 8th and having to order 2 phones and activate them and then find neither is working the way it is supposed to. Fed up.

    I wonder why you waited so long to ask. The service with Pure Talk is tolerable now that it's actually working. Two of the three phones on this plan each waited a full week to get the correct SIM card to get activated. Altogether, I spent between 15 and 20 hours on hold to speak with Customer Service which was helpful sometimes and often not. If you weren't $50 cheaper than AT&T I would have gone right back. It sure would be nice to have an apology and some compensation.

    Chip would work. Phone wouldn’t work. Returned phone where it disappeared until I got angry and finally found. On hold at least 45 mins each time I called. Always had to go thru the same story with a different person. Supr in Customer Service said would find phone and Paulette would send email confirming and refund payment I had to make for service didn’t use. Nothing. I had to call and wait forever to find out if it had been found. Never got. Refund. Finally gave up and went with another company after a month of dealing.     In December of 2021, I switched our family wireless phone service from Verizon to Pure Talk. Unknown to us, Pure Talk never fully ported over my wife's number she has had in her possession for 20 years. This failure to fully port over the number resulted in split service, meaning that she was only able to receive calls from iPhone users and unable to receive calls and texts from Android users and calls from landline users. Failure to complete this full port resulted in her being unable to communicate with family and friends. This failure also resulted in missing calls from businesses, doctors, and pharmacies trying to contact her to assist her in her daily life and also in providing her with her insulin and other life-dependent insulin pump supplies, since these pharmacies were calling her on her own number that did not work, unknown to my wife.

    Numerous lengthy calls to Pure Talk’s customer service and IT department have taken place in our attempt to solve the issue. Every time we called Pure Talk for help, we always received the run-around, having to start at the beginning with every person who works at Pure Talk, with no one ever really wanting to fix the issue. Resetting all kinds of functions, even completely resetting my wife’s phone did not work. Despite nothing working, Pure Talk never offered or tried to come up with a solution. Just phone calls that would end with either a dropped call or an unsatisfactory end, with my wife’s phone still not fully working.

    Frustrated and fed up, we decided to switch carriers in June of 2022, then come to find out that my wife’s number could not be switched to a new carrier because the number was never fully Pure Talk’s number the entire time. We were informed that the company that has possession of my wife’s number is Verizon, but upon calling Verizon they stated that they do not have possession of the number. Somehow, during our time with Pure Talk, my wife’s number was given over to the carrier named Jitterbug. We then talked to Pure Talk to have them talk to Jitterbug to bring back my wife’s number.

    At first, Pure Talk’s porting department denied that my wife’s number was in split service, then acknowledged that they did not fully port the number, then finally agreed that Jitterbug has the number. Three attempts with Pure Talk to have them contact Jitterbug took place, with the third time resulting in a customer service supervisor from Jitterbug talking to a porting supervisor from Pure Talk. This last conversation resulted in Pure Talk being perfectly content with Jitterbug having my wife’s number, and Jitterbug being unwilling to cooperate in giving back my wife’s number. The service I have received at every level of Pure Talk has been worse than terrible, and beyond frustrating.

    I honestly am not sure how Pure Talk employees who work to solve problems are given their jobs since they never succeeded in working through to fix my wife’s phone. Pure Talk’s inability to function as a phone company has compromised my wife’s very own phone number. I’m unsure of how this will end, but I will continue to fight Pure Talk to restore my wife’s phone number, on an account we have had with Pure Talk for going on seven months now. Companies like Pure Talk and Jitterbug should be fined, shut down, account payments refunded to customers, and made an example of how not to run a business, and in particular, a phone business.

    I recently called to inquire why my phone was only getting LTE data all over a very populated 5G region of Florida. I tried to ask if my settings were correct but the representative I talked to was absolutely no help at all. I was trying to explain to her that friends of mine who are on the AT&T 5G Network that I could stand next to them with the same exact phone and all I get was LTE data. This was all over the Tampa Bay area. We drove from spot to spot to spot to check and everyone was the same always on LTE never on 5G.     Just wanted to say how pleased we are with our new Pure Talk service. We had been with the same company since before there were mobile phones. Over the years we added a business line, internet, multiple mobile phones. Of course the cost became obscene. The company was less than helpful in providing solutions. We reduced number of phone lines, moved business to a separate line, looked at different providers and a variety of discounts - difficult to follow and made little difference.

    We had very high hopes for Puretalk, but are having a lot of issues. Our phones should have plenty of data, but we are having major issues with running out of data and very slow downloading speeds.     I don't remember the order #. You guys did a bait and switch on me. I was supposed to get a discounted iphone. But after you had my money you told me I didn't qualify for the discount so I had to pay more to get a number and have the phone activated. I would have backed out but I figured you you all would just keep my money and I'd be out even more.

    I needed a new phone and a new number. If you listen to the recording you will see that I was clear about this. I was told no problem and that I could get the discounted phone. After I got the phone I was told the discount was for only for people who were changing carriers and keeping their old phone #. I didn't have a phone # to keep. I told the lady this a half dozen times. It's all on the recording. What really angered me was the fact that the rep I talked to to straighten the problem out kept telling me that I HAD ORDERED THE WRONG PLAN. He acted like it was my fault. The only mistake I made was dealing with your company. I was clear from the beginning that I had no phone number and needed a new number. As soon as my time is up I'll dump you guys and not recommend you to others.

    While switching to a new phone, I called a technician to get help with the settings. She gave me a bunch of settings to use on the new phone and the phone did not work. I am a software engineer. I knew it was an issue with the settings and she insisted the phone was just broken. I called again to get another technician and she refused to help me and insisted my phone was broken without even bothering to double check any of the settings I was given. She flat out refused to help with anything, because she said I "refused" to reset the phone, which I knew wasn't the problem because when I called the first technician, the phone was factory new. I insisted she send me the settings so I could fix it myself and she sent them via email. The settings I received via email were COMPLETELY different from what the first technician told me. I ended up fixing the problem MYSELF. Horrible service, technicians are clueless. The second one was extremely rude.

    I've had my son on Pure Talk USA for about a year. His phone has been a 3G phone and today, it stopped working. I was unaware that the FCC had mandated discontinuing 3G. So I went to Pure Talk's website to look at replacing the phone. They refuse to give new customer discounts to existing customers. In other words, Pure Talk cares more about people who are NOT doing business with them than they care about people who have been doing business wtih them for any period of time, whether that's a year, 2 years, 5 years or 10. Existing customers are worthless to them. Only people who have never done business with Pure Talk are important to them. Well, screw that. I'll buy a new phone and move the service somewhere else.     I often find my data isn’t working properly when I am away from home. I also found that my phone had no service at all at The Oaks restaurant in Angelus Oaks while my mom’s phone worked fine (she was sitting across the table from me and has Verizon service). Angelus Oaks is close to a Verizon tower. When I was on Verizon, my phone pretty much worked anywhere whether it was close to a Verizon tower or an AT&T tower.     It is hard to get a person to actually answer the phone. You have a question area that really doesn't give the right questions to get answered. There was an issue with our bill and hook up issues with our phones and it took three days to get someone to help us fix our phones so we could get messages from our friends that had iphones, as we have androids.     Needed to return a defective phone - ringer silence would not return to audible ring. Called support, spent several hours (that is not an exaggeration!). I returned the phone. Never ever heard from Support that they had received the phone. After a month (not an exaggeration) without a phone, I purchased another phone from Pure Talk. I was told the support group did not look at the phone, but another group - the warehouse - would do so. Have called back to support several times - each time required substantial waiting on hold. I asked to talk to a supervisor because the support people I was talking with were unable to move the situation off of ‘stop’. Always was told no supervisors were available.

    The last time I called, I was told the warehouse needed a pass code to open the phone. Since the phone worked okay, except for the ‘ring silence’ malfunction, this did not make sense. I gave the passcode, but have not heard from Puretalk. Still have not received the refund. Basically I have paid twice for one phone. I am not pleased… My last call to

Everything was smooth until AFTER I signed up, there was a notice saying all new accounts must have a 5G Phone. My phone was not 5G. Why was this not explained to me beforehand? Now I have to buy a new phone, to save $10 a month.

    Tried calling you, it was during your transition to 5G, the lines were jammed. I don't have a working phone now. Because the wait is so long, can't find anyone willing to part with their phone for 2 hours. Ok, I'll chat with you. What? No chat for customer service? I'll leave a message. What? You state this is for non-emergencies, it will take 24 hrs for response? How can I contact you??? Ok, I coerce my brother to make the support call for me. After on hold for over an hour, they say he can't do anything with my account, he's not the holder!!! I'm now without phone for 4 days. After a week I have a working phone. Super frustrating. I had to pay someone to use their phone. All to save $10 a month.

    I was not told that 2 of our 5 phones would not work with Pure Talk. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that they would contact me within 48 hours, I never received that call, and this is after sitting on hold for 2 hours. My Samsung phone was only 4 months old and I had to spend $800 on a new phone which it took me 2 hours on hold to get set up with pure talk. I own a business and cannot be without a phone, but I was without 1 for 3 days. My new phone, a Google pixel will only ring 3 times before going to voice mail, I am told by Google that it is a problem with my provider, (you). My son's Samsung also did not work with pure talk and we had to get him a new phone. When I signed up I used my Samsung to call Pure talk, but I was not told that it would not work on your network.

    Any one I talk to I highly recommend that they not switch to pure talk, and at my soonest convenience I am going to switch to another carrier. This has been 1 of the worse business experiences I have ever had. I can't believe that people like Sean Hannity and Clay and Buck push your network. In my experience it is a flat out lie that you can keep your old phone and it only takes 10 minutes, what a joke!

    We joined Pure Talk after learning about it through AMAC. I ordered my new phone, it came in the mail and we got it set up to run. 2 or 3 days later it stopped receiving and initiating calls, and about a week later it stopped being able to text.     I purchased a phone and plan. My plan is $65 a month plus $5 for warranty. I see on this site all these low priced plan? Not my experience. $10 more than I was paying with Straight Talk which was a true unlimited data plan. This plan is not. There is a cap. Then it’s slow and no way to navigate. That’s supposed to also be unlimited but it’s not. You are only allowed so much. When you run out you have to call and beg for more. You get comments like why are you using so much. I was assured the data would not be a problem. I have to have an AT&T phone which straight talk could no longer give me in my area. Now I see after logging onto this page that my plan price has been reduced $20. And I’m a senior citizen and $65 is the best I could get with that supposed data.

    Pretty much every time I talk to someone I get a difference response. I will say the horrible long hold times we’re better the last couple of times I called. Last night I ran out of data about 15 min before the phone lines were supposed to be closed. There is no one you can call if it’s after hours. Last night the phones were shut down early. I do like that they speak English but this company will do you no favors and if you get a phone through them you are tied to them for 30 months.

    The worst was the horrible lack of help and hold times setting it up. After it was too late I found out about post paid phones. I wish I had not put all my money into this. Post paid would have been a better option for me. AT&T or TMobile. Possible this might be an ok option if you don’t use much data. And I’m supposed to be paying for hotspot but my plan doesn’t show any. I don’t know what to do with it but it would be kind of nice to know I was getting what I pay for.

    I recently ordered two phones from this company and the rep assured me they were made in Norway. In fact they were made in Vietnam (most likely with Communist China oversight). So, I mailed them back, costing me $14 expecting a full refund based on the fact that the rep didn't know her product and I was out a few bucks. Well, short story, Pure Talk shorted me $10 for shipping their phones to me, refused my request for a refund of both the $10 and my $14 expense and then even refused my request to speak to a supervisor to reassess my complaint! Talk about corporate give-a-darn (cleaned that up) about clients! Corporate America is increasingly distancing itself from American consumers because they save money by building their product overseas and figure you are just another number. Fine! Bottom line: If just one person who reads this complaint, avoids purchasing their questionable phones then I will be pleased.

    My PureTalk SIM card worked great for data and texts but I was not able receive or to make calls on my iPhone. A PureTalk representative in support was able to walk me through some steps that eventually worked. It would help if your people could ask what the SIM status is on the phone. Example “Carrier Lock” or "SIM lock” or “no sim restrictions “ etc. At the time of activation. It took me almost 2 months to get my phone unlocked and working.

    I was told I needed a transfer pin only on my third call. Two different people messed up my porting process. I had to call a total of 9-10 times to get porting my numbers from AT&T whom I have been with for the last twenty years. I have two lines with you and still haven't ported two additional lines that are still with AT&T. I am considering porting those two lines back to AT&T.     The phone works pretty good most the time. FaceTime is horrible and doesn't work. Sending pictures or videos often doesn't work. Internet overall is very slow and or doesn't work.     It took WEEKS to get Pure Talk working. Waiting on hold to get customer help took anywhere from one to two hours. None of the first three customer service people knew that Verizon phones were locked and would not work with PureTalk sim cards. Verizon would not unlock the phones. I finally had to buy a PureTalk Nokia phone to get the service to work, so your advertisement that I could bring my phone was a lie. I later found out I am not allowed to call Canada. There was no warning that these phones only work in the U.S. Apps don't work on this Nokia 3.4 - specifically the clock alarm and timer function unless the phone is left on and plugged in. There are too many frustrations with PureTalk - I will not recommend PureTalk to any friends.

    Accessing my Voicemail from my phone should not require a code! I should be able to access Voicemail directly. Why was this requirement for entering a code for Voicemail access made necessary? Otherwise, PureTalk has been a very easy transition to make and has save me money also.

    Where do I start? The 9+ hours I spent on hold over a week trying to get to customer service? The "Please Hold" then drop my call when I finally connected? Or maybe being told, "Please Hold" and put back into the end of the call queue for another hour wait? Oh, and then there was the Tech Support gal who admitted, "I'm the first person to get this to work!"

    The worst and most unforgivable was the website telling me my current phones were going to work then Tech Support telling me I was out of luck. Then, because it was too late to purchase new phones from the heavily discounted list for new customers, I had to pay full retail for them. Not cool. My recommendation to friends and family: Look Elsewhere!
