    My friend recommended Pure Talk after I retired from work. I was using Verizon and I had great service, but my phone belonged to the company and I had to give it back and buy my own service. So slow is my service right now....just circles and circles and sometimes I get cut off when talking with someone. I will be looking for another phone service if things aren't improved by Pure Talk.

    #2 I had problems transferring to Pure Talk and was not sure who could help. I asked Ms ** for a manager repeatedly and she refused to transfer me. A different person referred me and I did not get a call from a manager.

    When I was speaking with the PT rep about leaving Verizon for PT, I asked several times..."will I still have 5g service?" and was told "absolutely, it's AT&Ts network". I haven't seen 5g since I switched. On top of that, I barely get any bars at all where I work, so the overall strength of AT&T's signal sucks.

    I understand it's cheap but this is by far the worst service I've ever had. The only time it's decent is on wifi. The Internet is slow. The service is terrible. My messages come late. I don’t get calls. Sometimes people have to call me two and three times before the call comes through. Customer service is horrible. I couldn’t get my phone activated when I first switched over and the entire process of being on the phone and going back-and-forth trying to get my phone activated used up all of my data so my first month I had no Internet for absolutely no reason. This is by far the worst service ever had.

    Mixed reviews on the quality of the several different reps I spoke with while switching my service from Verizon to Puretalk. Several long hold times and I got cut off while on hold several times. Might I suggest adding a way to contact Customer Service by Chat or Email? Everyone was professional and friendly but some just weren't knowledgeable enough to resolve the problems I was encountering. Growing pains in a new company? Anyway, I am very pleased with the service now that I am switched over and delighted with the price.

    We had been with PureTalk for almost 2 years. We started having issues where incoming calls would go straight through to voicemail. We would call to have the tech support correct this but is was becoming a constant issue. I need my phone for work and this was becoming an issue. We decided to switch carriers and that is when we ran into issues. The customer support was terrible upon us leaving. We would get hung up on when we tried to see about if there was a rebate in the fee when we left 4 days into the next months service. Apparently, they do NOT give you back the difference. Anyone leaving Pure Talk should be aware of that. They denied our port transfers and we had to fight to get that done. We will NEVER go back to Pure Talk again for this lousy exit customer service. Very disappointing.

    Based on Sean Hannity's endorsement, I excitedly entered into a subscription with Pure Talk. Almost since day one, I have been disappointed many times. Customer service and tech support have never been able to port my pictures from old phone to new so I've had to accept that. Many times every day the screen freezes with the prompt "system not responding" resulting in multiple restarts. Phone does not show incoming calls in time to answer. Between customer service and tech support no one has been able to enable SMS so I have to call every sender and ask what the message was.

    The best one is when the problem is beyond customer services expertise they'll inform me I need to turn my phone off and they will correct problem on their end and call me back in 5 minutes and voila blow off any return call! In all fairness there have been a small number of issues corrected but they are more than eclipsed by the substandard service I have experienced.

    The cell coverage in Monterey/Seaside, CA is spotty at best. It's a bit of a disappointment, as our previous provider also had poor coverage. Setting up voicemail doesn't work, despite the online instructions. One thing that certainly is troubling is the volume of spam calls/text messages that have been coming in since I switched providers. I do not go around handing out my cell number online or to people in general, so I don't know how scammers and spammers are getting my contact information. Possible hack of Pure Talk's databases?

    My primary area of dissatisfaction is with the texting function, which is a primary means of communication for me. At an estimated rate of 33% I do not receive messages. I will see that someone has texted me, and the time, but there will be a blue circle where the text should appear that urges me to "Tap to download." My success at tapping that blue circle and then seeing the text is 0%. I sometimes respond to the sender that I can see that they sent me a message, but not the content of the message.

    Also on my phone I sometimes use the WhatsApp app to communicate out of country. I have never had a problem receiving messages on that app, including those including attachments. So, I don't know if I've disabled some feature that is preventing me from receiving messages reliably, or if the SMS function has some glitch, or... something else. It would be nice to receive more (all) of the messages sent to me.

    For the most part, my experience with Pure Talk has been good. Calls normally go through, data and texts work as they should. Call quality is good, unless I am outside of town.     I made a payment with Pure Talk and they double charged me so I called and told customer service. I was told that I would be getting a refund through the form of payment I used in 3-5 days. On 5th day still didn’t receive the refund so I called customer service back and I was told it was in the process and it’s not 3-5 days. It’s 7-10 days. Now on the 10th day I still haven’t received the refund and called customer service once again. Was told that they would send a email marking it urgent which I was told the same thing before and there is no record of a refund. Also the service sucks if you drive for a living. Always losing service. Would not recommend this company to my worse enemy. Going back to Verizon where I have good service and don’t have incompetent customer service.

    We just signed up 3 weeks ago. So far the coverage/calls/texts/data have been fine. However, the entire signup process was not a lot of fun. Customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes individuals are extremely friendly and helpful, other times they are rude and mean. We ordered trade-in kits for our old phones when we signed up. After 3 weeks, we hadn't received them. (We were supposed to get them with our new phones.) I called today and they claim they had no record of receiving a trade-in request on our account and there was nothing they could do. I was given the name of another company, one they supposedly use, and received a trade-in quote $40 less than the one pure talk gave me. It's been such a frustrating experience.

    So far, we are satisfied with Pure Talk. We are saving about 50% from our old cell carriers, which is great! We also love that the company shares our values. We miss out on a couple benefits from our old service, such as a carrier app, and visual voicemail. The cell and data service seems to be about on par with our previous service, but sometimes seems a bit slower. For example, a text might take a few extra seconds to send when not on wifi, and sometimes it seems to take email messages much longer to arrive and notify us.

    Our biggest disappointment was the activation process. We used the esim, which seemed very convenient, but was painful to initiate. Both of our phones took over a day (while having zero service because our previous service had already been dropped), and required several phone calls to customer support. One of our phones took even an extra couple days, and much more time spent on the phone with customer support. And, when this phone finally got connected and set up, all the data for that line for the entire month disappeared within the first few minutes, and we know this wasn't caused by us. Unfortunately, Pure Talk wouldn't reset this data for the month, offer any sort of refund or anything, and actually blamed us for wasting all the data. That has been our biggest complaint so far.

    When the phone rings, there is a delay before the caller and I can hear each other. This sometimes creates excessive callback efforts before we can talk.     I am very happy with PureTalk so far. They were very helpful when I was setting up my phone and transferring numbers. The phone service itself is very good. I only have one problem - I don't get any cell service in my house. If PureTalk uses the same cell towers as ATT, that might be the cause of the problem. Anyone who comes into my house using ATT doesn't get service either. In my driveway is good, but not in the house. I use the Wi-fi calling when at home - but would prefer not to.

    I had virtually no glitches in my service when I switched from AT&T to Pure Talk. I did find out I was not able to make international calls and it was on a weekend and I couldn't do anything about it until Monday. I used WhatsApp instead and had no problems. My voicemail moved over and I did not have to set it up again. Everything remained the same. My switching experience, minus the inability to make international calls, was 99% flawless. Everything corrected itself. I do recommend that you clearly inform people that they need to get a 'switching PIN' from AT&T before they are ready to switch services. I was not told that and it delayed and complicated my switching process. I was not told that I would need this before I needed it.

    I started an account with a new phone. (Nokia 6300) I was not familiar with anything beyond a flip phone, but I figured if I needed any help getting it set up, I could get that help. One repair tech told me "let me be honest with you" he said, "we can't help you with your phone". He told me Pure Talk wasn't responsible if my mobile phone didn't work outside of my house! A real **.

    6. GOD HELP any older person or someone who is not tech savvy in calling your technical repair!!!! 7. Waiting for hours on hold is not bad enough, but one has to listen to ENDLESS, REPETITIVE ** messages "No problem they say". 8. Pure Talk has the WORST technical support of any company I have experienced. HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS of frustration and wasted time to set up a phone.

    I'm very disappointed/angry with Pure Talk. I signed up for over a year ago. I set up auto pay. All was great until about March or April this year. I use the phone as back up and noticed a few months ago I was unable to call, text or use any data at all. I haven't really needed it much and there was a gap where I could not find the phone. Plus I'm a pretty busy fella but I got around to calling customer care today. The rep said an email was sent to me in March about my phone no longer being compatible. I still have the email and it said nothing of this. Just something about doing a software upgrade. So I basically paid 7 months with no service. I know I could have called earlier. The rep made no offer for a refund, no offer for a compatible phone, no options, just "that's how it is." The company could have contacted me about it.

    It feels more like them saying, "wow! this guy has not used his service in 7 months, and he's still paying. maybe we should reach out to him... Naaaa! let's keep billing him." Plus I was thinking of adding more lines with pure talk since I like to save money and trying to cut down on random recurring charges. Don't get me wrong, when it worked, it worked pretty well, I was satisfied. But now... no. I'm pretty sour about this. And they have competition. I'll gladly pay a little more to avoid terrible customer service and the "That's the way it is" attitude. You guys want to contact me and try to work out a solution, great! I'm reasonable. I know every company has ** employees. I'm really not expecting a response But it's a damn good thing I called today otherwise I think they would have kept charging me forever. Pretty salty about this one.

    I had Verizon for several years and was always pleased with my coverage, service, and bill. But when 5G came around, they throttled back our signal strength from home and often I couldn't make a call or receive a call without being on my WIFI. They had no answers for the issue. So I switched to Pure Talk and now I have no issue with service from home or around my local area. Plus I immediately started saving over 30.00 a month, but gave up my unlimited data. Most often always on someones WIFI if not at home, so not affected adversely thus far with with 6.0 GB. I am going to rural VT this coming week to my hunting camp, and can only get service up there thru AT&T, so am anxious to see how that works for me.     Poor to non existent service. We signed up as we trusted (unfortunately) the referral source. Once we got phone service it was intermittent at best. We called customer service dozens of times. They would go through the list of things to do on the phone but when that didn't work, that was it. NEVER was there an attempt to actually fix it. When we finally cancelled, we were charged an exorbitant cancellation fee even though there is no contract. So we paid for service we did not receive. Never use Puretalk.

    I was excited to try PureTalk and get away from big tech companies. My experience so far has been terrible. Our old phone broke so I thought it was great time try. I also saw they would overnight, which was important so I paid extra for it. Unfortunately they do not list that no one is there weekends so my overnight actually took three days. I could have gotten over this but the phone they sent me did not work and would not even turn on. After 6 customer service calls they made ticket to send a new phone. Sadly I activated service before I tried the phone so now I'm paying for service that I cannot use. No one has offered to refund my overnight costs, or not charge me for the days I could not use. They sent me a return label so I sent the phone back and half a day later still no contact from the company as to whether the replacement has been sent.

    I would assume errors would be a top priority to fix but sadly I packaged and sent their phone back already and a replacement still hasn't been issued. I cannot comment on the service quality as 3 or 4 days since I ordered and still do not have a working phone. I get mistakes happen but do your best to fix them and make it right with customers. If I hadn't ported my number over I would have asked for a refund, but now I'm stuck at the moment.

    I had a minimal rate of $20/month for service for several years and decided to increase to $55/month to be provided with a HOTSPOT. I was told my phone would be compatible for this, but I never received an increase in service. Then I was overcharged for a second time, rather than having my initial level of service and fee restored-- even after repeated attempts to communicate by calls, texts, and email. They used this as an opportunity to permanently raise my rate on the service I had been getting for $20/month, telling me I have to pay $25/month unless I get someone else to join me with a second line on my plan, we could get the $20/month rate for each line--- outrageous!!!

    They will not refund my money but "credit my account", so after withdrawing excessive money TWICE I will lose it all if I quit this company!!! They did not tell me there was a recent policy change that basically forces them to refuse to give me back my former level of service after attempting (and failing) to get me a HOTSPOT. Nobody with authority to resolve this has ever gotten back to me even though I was told three times I would have someone call me back over the last month, and I cancelled other plans to wait by my phone. I told them in early August that I would publicize my bad experience if this could not get resolved-- then they made it worse by charging me again two days ago and refusing to refund me when I already paid too much for imaginary services last month!!!

    I use this line for my business, which is primary done via text. However, the data speeds are so poor that I don't even bother using it. I carry two phones, and will use the other line to access my business apps. Voice quality is significantly inferior to the AT&T that I was using previously. However, your service does work for 80% of my needs, which is communicating via text. I would say that the advertising done for your product via the podcasts I listen to are deceptive.     Accessing iPhone phone messages is very inconvenient. The messages are not accessible in an app on the phone. The only way to access and even know that you have any messages is to call your phone number and input a password and follow the instructions. Only then are you able to tediously access new and old messages, though only one at a time. When listening to a phone message you hear the message only, not the time of the call, nor the phone number of the caller. iPhone iMessages does not allow sending attachments to multiple numbers, if one of the numbers is not Apple iPhone.

    Switched to Pure Talk based on 100% refundable if there is any issues. Issues started immediately, they DO NOT support androids for mobile hot spots. First it was I needed to increase the data plan which I did, then it was "sorry, we just don't support Samsung 11 platforms". I switched to ** then with no problems.     Sometimes I can't get a Text or Photo to send or go through. It says Queued or Sending, but never goes through. That's the only problem that I'm experiencing so far. I would like this problem resolved as soon as possible.

With your device connected to Wi-Fi, please go to Settings > Software Update to ensure your device is utilizing the newest update available. Once this has been completed, please go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings > Reset Settings to reset the network settings.
