    So after I heard many, many ads about Pure Talk on Sean Hannity & on the Clay Travis/Buck Sexton shows, I figured this must be a really good deal. I had great mobile coverage before but the price was getting higher & higher. While the monthly cost is better, you definitely get what you pay for. I've made multiple service calls to tech support but I still have problems when known contacts call me, as soon as I answer, sitting in my own living room next to a window, the call drops. It's very frustrating and sometimes I try to make a call but can't get the call to go thru. I am concerned that sometime I'm going to need my cell service in an emergency and it won't be there for me. So I can't say my experience is best ever -- FAR FROM IT.

    Phone service is good most of the time. Data is fair most of the time. Sometimes I have no data available. Wi-Fi is good but if I do not have it. Data does not work. Is there a way to have data without wi-fi? Why does it show I have 4 bars (for phone service) but I get no data.

    1) Calling Canada from US is very awkward using the system you have. Should be updated with direct dial.

    2) Voicemail interface is ARCHAIC! I have to call to get messages- I want a screen with direct info about my voicemails - not a blank page that says "Call Voicemail". I want to visual record. Hate to say it, but VERIZON was way better- check their user interface and copy it for PURETALK.

    Customer service is excellent. Value for money is also excellent. The cell coverage is also very good. The phone that I have from PureTalk is a letdown, however. It was sold to me as a high-quality phone (Nokia). However the user interface software will crash on occasion, often for over an hour before the phone comes back. This could have easily stranded me a couple times, because I was relying on the GPS on the phone to get to where I was going. Luckily I still have my Garmin in my car, so I switched to that during emergencies. The phone also lost access to the mobile data network once. PureTalk clearly knows that this can happen, and has a very clear guide on their web site on how to fix this problem. I was able to restore data access quickly and without calling PureTalk.

    Great price. I still have issues making a phone call, I must power down my phone-reboot it. Weird, you have to call a number to retrieve voicemails. I do like that I spoke with an English speaking representative, when I have needed help. Sometimes, more than with my old carrier, I have internet issues.     When switching to ptusa, 1) Your system would not accept my credit card of over 40 years- PTUSA told me I had the wrong mailing address. I called my bank and was told everything about my card was correct; found out YOUR SYSTEM DOESN'T RECOGNIZE MY CREDIT UNION- NOT a wrong address!!! 2) The phone I was talked in to was defective and erased over 30 contacts from my iCloud account IRRETRIEVABLY! So now I had to buy the phone I originally asked for, and ptusa would NOT REFUND ME!

    Then I had to buy the phone I originally asked for (over $700) and PTUSA would not send out the 2nd phone until I returned the 1st phone LEAVING ME WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATIONS FOR 3 DAYS UNTIL THE NEW PHONE CAME *ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!* The new phone had the same issues as the 1st and after calling PTUSA and Samsung, it was determined that it was your system that was at fault! Apparently your system isn't compatible with some of the features of the phone! All the hours and days of back and forth phone calls, and on the 14th day of the trial period AT 4:30, PTUSA finally issued me a RMA number, leaving me less than 1/2 hour to pack up the phone and find a FedEx store to return the phone before 5pm!! Once again, I was left without a phone for another 3 days!!

    PTUSA IS THE ONLY CARRIER I HAVE DEALT WITH IN MY LIFE THAT DOESN'T SEND OUT THE NEW PHONE AND I PUT THE DEFECTIVE PHONE IN THE SAME BOX TO RETURN IT!!! So now phone #3 Still having the same issues! Now after about 3 weeks I notice no credit on my credit card! After waiting forever, I was told I WAS NOT GETTING A REFUND ON THE 2nd PHONE EITHER! I WAS TOLD BY PTUSA that the phone was returned "broken"! I had asked about PTUSA and FedEx having insurance and filing a claim- never happened! Now I'm out over $1400 for the 2 phones plus the $200? for the 1st phone!

    I told PTUSA to send me back the "broken" phone- I wanted to see it "broken" for myself. There was a hairline scratch on the bottom of the screen, barely noticeable unless tilted at a certain angle to even notice it! How it got there, I don't know, but again, PTUSA never contacted FedEx about the insurance on the package- I seriously doubt PTUSA ever had it insured, but either way, this is the phone I am using to this day!

    So to recap so far: PTUSA tells my credit card had the wrong billing address - LIE. My phone was returned BROKEN- LIE. PTUSA leaves customers without any phone to make emergency calls. UNBELIEVABLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! Turns out YOUR phone system is the problem NOT being compatible with some of the features of the phone, yet PTUSA drove me nuts blaming 3 phones as the culprit. So after speaking with a manager, and asking to speak to your CEO, I was offered 3 months of free service- wonderful! My 1st month, I got a 0 balance- great!

    Enter month 2: I get a nasty text saying my phone will be turned off by 8pm if I don't pay my bill! I called customer service and went through this nightmare and was told everything was good, not to worry and ignore the text. Saturday- another disconnection text. Called customer service and was told she didn't see any notes of 3 free months, then eventually found it and was told not to worry. Today (Monday) I get the same damned text! Can you see how aggravating and completely incompetent your service is? SERIOUSLY! I guarantee you next month will be no different, and if it is, I WILL find another carrier! I have never gone through so much wasted time, so much aggravation and grief as I am experiencing with PTUSA, and to have to be placed in such an unsafe position as to leave customers WITHOUT A PHONE until the new one comes, is incomprehensible!

    Not one other carrier on my life has ever adopted this practice! Lives are at stake here, but your only concern is getting your phone back! I guess a phone is more important to you than the possibility of a life!!! And FYI, I have 2 incurable diseases and have multiple surgeries to contend with, so I am adamant about not having a phone!!! And remember- I am using the phone that PTUSA told me was BROKEN and would not refund me on and PTUSA telling me it was defective to begin with! It is your system that is not compatible with the features of the phone(S)!

    My phone stopped receiving or making calls out of the blue tonight around 8:00 pm. I get a message saying that my balance is too low to make a phone and I need to make a payment.     The phone service has been excellent and the price is certainly right. For my single line I am saving over $100/mo. The transition from Verizon had some frustrating bumps and bruises however. I was told my iPhone 11 Pro was suitable for an E Sim but after spending over an hour on the phone with your technical service dept it was determined that it was not true so they had to FedEx me a SIM card which they did promptly but I still did not have a working phone for three days. Once installed the tech group was able to get me online. However, along the way there were multiple attempts at the E Sim and despite erasing all the data and starting over I still have a PERMANENT notification in settings that tells me to click on it to complete my installation which it wrong and very irritating. If I accidentally click on it down the road my system will crash. The tech dept says there is nothing they my can do about it.

    Furthermore, my contacts did not reload properly with only about a third showing up after the transition and once again the tech group said there was nothing target could do about it. With perhaps millions of subscribers I can’t believe I am the first one to encounter this side effect. I finally solicited help from a different company who took a quick look and immediately determined the problem to be that that system had only transferred those contacts recorded from my Gmail account but not from the cloud. A few keystrokes later I was back in business. How can Pure Talk’s technical folks not know that?? Overall, I am recommending PureTalk to anyone I talk to but some more informed technical support would be very much appreciated. I’d feel terrible if a friend took my advice to switch and then ran into these issues. By the way, what can you do to get rid of this stupid notification that is on my settings tab?? Thank you.

    After installing the SIM card It took 3 calls to get services setup correctly; first the IMEI number reset; second call to reset the factory settings and the 3rd call to activate my voice mail; does it really need a call to activate voice mails; once activated I had 9 voice mails and some were very important and returning those calls was embarrassing. It's like a 9 and he's like, "Oh well. You need a 11 or higher." I'm like wtf.

    So now I have to get a new phone ($300 for the cheapest one, and I went here to save money). Got the new phone but it's bugging me that they said my phone would work. So I'm think they owe me at least a months of free service. That's more than fair. So I call back, get bumped up and to a manager and tell her what's going on and she's like, "Your issue is with samsung, not us." Ah NO lady YOUR web page said my phone would work, not maybe it will work if samsung develops an update that makes it work with your service. So all I have to say is ** Puretalk. I switched after my service ended a month later. I'll eat the price loss and switch to xfinity.     We switched to Pure Talk because of recommendations from podcasts such as Jesse Kelly and others. It was a nightmare from the beginning. Every single supervisor we spoke to was rude or just flat out unprofessional. The first supervisor we were on the phone with was driving in his car. The second supervisor was so rude. Then representatives weren't any better. We were pretty sure one representative was drunk. Then we were told repeatedly that the port had been canceled like we requested (supervisors even confirmed it was). Sure enough it wasn't.

    Then one of the last representatives had such a bad attitude and was completely incompetent that when I asked to speak to a supervisor (in hopes this one might be slightly better than the others) she just hung up. They put us in such a bad situation when trying to port our numbers over. The service barely worked that two days with pure talk we had to switch again to a better company. I wouldn't want this headache or hassle on anyone. At this moment all the issues still haven't been resolved.

    Overall we are happy we switched to PureTAlk. The savings are worth it and we haven’t come up against data limits which was one concern. Our other plan had unlimited data. We recently were in Europe and had to buy a SIM card there because Pure Talk doesn’t have international phone plans. Using a SIM card from a European carrier was not convenient. We plan on traveling more internationally but may need to change to a carrier that has international unless PureTalk adds it. Any future plans for international service?

    Greetings, I just want to take a moment and clarify the reason for my rating. The reason for my rating is that Pure talk does not function as promised in Alaska. I have a two-year service agreement with pure talk and horribly regret that. I would like out of my contract without any fees or penalties. My calls drop, my service is interrupted frequently, when I travel with my phone I am unable to receive voicemails, and I am horribly dissatisfied with the service.     I ordered the same exact phones for my wife and I. I need Wi-Fi calling for my job because cellular coverage in our area is always problematic, no matter the carrier.     All advertising stresses "same towers--same exact number of bars", but that has proved to be incorrect (or untrue). With Verizon, base signal strength was considerably greater. At home, inside the house, we use a signal booster--as we did with Verizon, as we live in the woods, with a metal roof, so wifi enables relatively reliable communication; outdoors--or away from home--signal is noticeably reduced, until we reach areas of greater signal strength; we have a much higher incidence of "dropped" or intermittent calls.

    The launch of our switch to Pure Talk was almost enough to deter me, due to your absolutely, incredibly ridiculous policy regarding new phone purchases. It will take four months of service before we reach the "break-even" point, and it is only the fact that then we will save approximately $50/month from what we were spending with Verizon that makes dealing with you palatable. When I hear Sean Hannity & all the other celebrity voices touting the merits of Pure Talk, I want to reach out to them, & inform them that it is not all that great an experience!

    I really like this this plan. I don't notice any difference in the US from Verizon except my bill which is fantastic. The problem is (and it's big!) that Pure Talk doesn't cover much territory beyond the US. In the next 6 months, unfortunately I will need to change carriers to Patriot Mobile because they cover many countries. I love the idea of staying with you but need to be practical that I travel outside the country and can't shut my phone off for a week at a time because Pure Talk doesn't cover it.

    The connection for the physical phones is far better than my old carrier. Phones were shipped fast, and porting over was quick and easy.     We believe Pure Talk needs to make some major improvements to be considered quality provider. The voicemail is from the stone ages haha. I have flashbacks to my flip phones days. The software update, at the very least, should give users the ability to see who left a voicemail with the number. Users should see this info without having to enter a password and listen to prompts. At best, users should be able to see who called and listen to the voicemail associated with that number easily. Added bonus would be a transcript of the voicemail.

    The Voicemail is glitchy. My wife and I both have a red notification even after listening and deleting voicemails. Fix the voicemail and you will be a much better provider and retain clients better as well.

    I don't ever think about my phone anymore. I don't wonder if I'll have enough data to open my Maps and find my way home, or if I'll have to reduce my activity in order to keep the other family members on my plan connected for their work and safety.     We switched from Republic Wireless where we spent $25 for 2GB per line each month. Now we spend less than that for 4GB per line. We didn't have to invest in new phones, and we never stress over whether we can connect to the network or talk to someone honest & intelligible when we do have trouble. Which, to be clear, we haven't. We only spoke with tech support when we swapped over from Republic. I love this phone company so much. Please don't change!

    The service has been very disappointing. I lose coverage many times. When my work phone still has service in different areas, my personal phone with PureTalk has no service at all. I also tried to add another line only to get the runaround from different agents ultimately to find out that my phone for the 3rd line was not compatible. I really had high hopes that we would switch our phones and services to a company that aligns with our values. Sadly, the experience has been less than satisfying.     I moved my wife's and son's phones to Pure Talk hoping for a better experience than Tracfone. I unlocked the phones and put in a port request after verifying that the phones were compatible with Pure Talk. The day we got everything set up I noticed when logging in that it said that our phone service will be discontinued at the end of the month and we would have to purchase new phones. They are both Motorola 4G phones. The discontinuation is due to them being 3G phones according to Pure Talk. I went to purchase the same phones I would have if I needed to and the price jumped from $50 a phone to $178 a phone.

    I called the next day and was told that I cannot get the $50 price since I am not a new customer. I just got the service yesterday, I think that's pretty new. They offered no solution and no supervisor to help. Now I have to go to another service and fight to get my money back.     I own a business the requires me to be on the road a lot and I just reached the point where I couldn’t take never having service with Verizon anymore. The constant dead zones and dropped calls were a nightmare. So I switched to PureTalk and not only did switching lower my bill dramatically but I haven’t had to deal with the constant lack of service anymore which is great when you’re always on the road and need gps or to even look something up online. I’d say 85% of the time I have 5g service even in remote areas along the shoreline.     We have a summer place which is in a relatively remote place in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, my cell phone is virtually useless when I'm there because the Puretalk network (which I understand uses AT&T) apparently doesn't reach there. If the networking doesn't improve I will likely be forced to consider another service. I'd rather not, but it may turn out to be my only option if I want to be able to use cell or mobile phone services at this location. For reference sake, it is in Brogue, PA along the Susquehanna River on Lower River Road.

    The signal is very weak and it will drop calls in this area. There have been several times when the call didn't come through, but would eventually go to voice mail. I also work in a metal building and I can neither make a call nor receive a call from inside the building.

    When we were on Verizon we would easily get 4G LTE coverage at least 60mbps data at our house. Now we get 2 bars of LTE coverage. It is super slow 10mbps data and can't even get pictures through text message. It's awful. We also could easily stream our ring doorbell and our home security system over our phones. We can't do that anymore.

    We’re happy now, but the process of transferring service was grueling. Apparently almost no one knew how to initiate service without the SIM card even though "virtual" SIM card was offered.
