    I traveled to Canada for work. Prior to travel I contacted support and let them know that I needed to have data service to receive emails and texting. I paid an extra $10.00 for that and had service for the first 3 days out of 3 weeks doing business there. The $10 was only for 1Gig. I average 10 to 12 gig per month. I was not able to communicate with my work team. I called support and asked for another $10 to get another Gig. I never got the other Gig and was charged $10. Again I could not communicate with my work team. Very Sad and disappointed. I am still being charged the extra $10 per month.

    Smart phone doesn’t work unless I have an internet connection. If your service can’t be improved I will be forced to change internet providers. The hotspot is useless without an internet connection. I’m thinking I’ll switch to another provider if this problem can’t be resolved.

    We were told to try turn off the phone and then to do a total reset of the phone before the Sim card would be replaced. We did all these steps and the Sim card was Fedexed to us. When we put it in the phone and could not get it set. We called PureTalk to getting it activated and they got it done. This whole process took about 10 days.

    Sometimes callers say they can't hear me. Then I usually reboot to find a better tower. I think if I lived in a larger city it would be better. Overall good experience.     Overall very good. I can live with the reduced support hours because almost everything just works. The items that have some issues. 1) I keep losing my busy/no answer call forwarding to my Google Voice number. 2) Hotspot rarely works now that you categorize it differently.     Everyone is nice when speaking to them but had to connect with them multiple times to try and solve text coming in and going out properly. I think once I bought a new sim card the issues seemed resolved themselves once everything was in my phone correctly but it was frustrating several weeks.

    I had to call three times and speak to three people before the problem was solved. It was an easy fix but the first two didn't know what to do.     PureTalk reneged on agreements made prior to switching from Verizon. PureTalk uses AT&T towers and is for all tense and purposes a subsidiary of AT&T in as much as PureTalk has to get authorization from AT&T before they can offer anything. Every time I have talked with a supervisor it has been a *hit show, one such supervisor told me to go pound sand, then hung up on me. When I asked for a copy of our recorded conversation I was told no. They then kept me captive for two years. ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINT HAS EVER BEEN RESOLVED. Some lower level techs have tried but in every case some manager has thwarted them. AT&T has a pretty poor footprint here and since PureTalk is in as much as a part of AT&T they have a poor coverage here too

    I ordered my new phone and began the process of porting my work number over. You can see the history on my account of my calls to check on the progress. All of a sudden the total amount of my phone was charged- with NO communication to me.     After several years as a PureTalk customer, suddenly PT required me to establish a 8 - 9 digit password to access voice-mail. I've never had to do that ever. PT insisted that this was a requirement, but my wife (on the same account) has never been required to establish a p/w???? Inputting a p/w while driving is very inconvenient and A SAFETY HAZARD. Also, I note that you give free phones to new customers, but nothing for your long time loyal customers. That hurts! On the positive, coverage and signals are good almost always.

It is unfortunate that I will be leaving Pure Talk but with the restrictions that are placed on the number of recipients allowed in a group text (max of 10), I have no choice. I think it is ludicrous to put such a restriction on an account.

One, I am limited to a max of 10 recipients for texts and I have two groups that have more than that.     The service is mostly good. The main issue I have is... my partner is on AT&T. I'm on PureTalk. Our home has a Blink camera setup. My partner's phone gets instant alerts. Mine can take up to 2 hours. This includes the doorbell alert, with me standing at the door itself. I've had several people come to the door, ring the Blink doorbell, and I get a delayed alert, up to 2 hours later!!! It's so frustrating. Sure, the PureTalk piggy-backs on AT&T lines, but the delay in transferring the alert is so long, as to make my security camera system useless. I've called in the past, and spoken to technicians at Blink. They had me reset my phone system... twice! And the results are the same... delayed alerts. So very frustrating.

    Why does it sometimes take 2 to 3 days for my voicemails to be accessible? Sometimes I can get them right away and sometimes it takes 2 to 3 days before they show up. It’s very frustrating. Not too bad for making calls because if I hit the 77777 button once, I can delete the extra four 7s before I hit the next number, which, in turn stutters and I have to delete the extra digits.     Pure Talk was a good value initially. Now, in 2023, there are a number of different options that are a better deal than what I have right now with Pure Talk. Other carriers are offering significantly cheaper plans that include unlimited mobile data.     We are satisfied because of the price however, one of our phones has to be in a certain location for reception and we have some dropped calls. Reception is not that good overall. Sometimes you have to set the phone in a certain position so that you don't lose a call. Caller sometimes cannot hear us that well. We bought a generic booster but it does very little. I'm thinking about trashing it. I think the system would work fine if we could get some kind of antenna installed that is made specifically for the Pure Talk Phones.

    As an AMAC member, I had heard about PureTalk for some time, then finally decided to switch. We replaced service for our 2 cell phones and for our home phone. PureTalk sold us a Nokia phone to replace our home phone and helped us port our numbers to PureTalk. The Nokia phone is OK, but our old phone used to tell us who was calling instead of just displaying a number. We miss that feature, but the service is great!!

    I initially called to sign up with PureTalk in July 2023. I received a postcard from AMAC advertising a free phone and paid membership if I chose an unlimited plan. When I called the rep said they have ended that special! I was put on hold numerous times while he spoke with a supervisor. He offered me a new plan with a new special that I was required to pay a discounted portion of the cost of the phone. I agreed. I was told I will be charged once I activated the phone.

    Due to travel and issues with my current phone, I didn't activate it until August. I had questions while activating the new phone so I called pure talk. I explained my charges and the rep said in July the special was still going on with AMAC! I could have been offered the original offer, not the new special and a different phone. I also was not made aware of the 30 month contract I was under with the new offer! I am very unhappy with the customer service. It's very disappointing that I can not recommend pure talk to others. Mostly because I believed in the philosophy of pure talk. I've heard numerous conservative talk shows endorsing pure talk. Oh and my phone is the worst phone I have ever owned!

    Not the best cell phone service. I barely get one bar on signal strength and I live in an area where numerous AT&T customers live. I can take my cellphone, an Apple 6S, to their home and get one bar of signal strength and the neighbor is getting full signal strength. Lots of my incoming and outgoing calls fail and voice quality is not optimal. It’s like my signal is being throttled by AT&T. I only use Pure Talk for home service and it’s barely acceptable.     I needed a new phone but since I already was a Pure Talk customer I couldn't get the $50 phones. And the phone that I wanted you were almost $50 higher than Amazon. It was very disappointing. It seems to me that as a customer in good standing for going on 4 years you could cut me a little bit of a break. I have been happy with your service. There have been times when I don't have service but everybody has that problem. I was surprised when I was in Canada in October that I had no service.     My phone was not working from Nov 19 until Nov 22nd. I contacted Pure Talk online and only received a generic answer on numbers to call for help. If I could have called those numbers, I would not have needed your help. I also tried to order a new sim card because I thought that might help but it would not go into a cart.     The last phone which I purchased, a Galaxy A3os, is one of the worst phones I've ever owned. It's extremely slow and constantly requires updates. Also, Pure Talk only gives deals for new customers. Rarely ever for existing customers. You should give existing customers a break on their bills based on longevity. Perhaps on a 6 month increment basis.

    When we are not using Wi-Fi. The ”service” is very bad, most of the time. Little or absolutely no connection at all. At times my wife’s number doesn’t connect when mine does!!     I love the price and service. The reason The reasons I Chose PureTalk was the price, it was an AT&T tower/service, and I thought it would work in the Gulf of Mexico where I work on the oil rigs.     I switched to Pure Talk a couple of years ago after retiring and giving up my work phone. It’s been a great experience. Cell coverage is excellent. Customer service is wonderful.     We left Verizon probably a year ago or more and switched to PureTalk. I'd say for the value, we are really pleased. The cost is less than half of what we were paying with Verizon for the same service for 2 phones. With that said, we have noticed some differences. It seems like in some areas in Arizona, our home state, that coverage was a little bit better with Verizon. We also have pretty frequent delays with text messages, where they arrive hours after they were sent. Not sure what causes that. Overall for the savings, we are still happy and plan to stay with PureTalk, but it would be nice if some of those issues were resolved.
