I purchased a Motorola Razr+ 2004 in October of this year. I was told by the salesman AS WELL as it was on the phone itself when I activated it that if I put a screen protector on it, it would void the warranty. I did as I was told thinking just in case something happens I would like to be able to get it fixed. A speck of dirt got stuck between the hinges where the phone folds and the screen broke. I sent it off to get fixed and was told the warranty doesn’t cover damage…😒 I was also told it would be around a $900 fix. I don’t have that kind of money lying around. I am so extremely disappointed in wasting my money on a phone I can no longer use. 😢 DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PHONE!!

Customer service couldn't help over the phone and said I'd have to send it in to them and pay for it to be repaired. Definitely don't buy Motorola.

Well where to start. How bout only having their device for 3 months and the screens don't work, the screens start flashing and the phone does what it wants to. Wouldn't recommend cricket either or paying the insurance on them when they only cover screens and not the phone when their junk goes bad. You have to send them out. Wait on it to come back meaning no phone unless willing to spend a couple extra hundred to get a better phone than Moto junk. Out of 6 of my family members got Moto garbage to only have 1 still working somewhat at that. Would t recommend even looking at a Moto rather alone putting a shaving of a penny on one.

This is by far the Best Phone I have ever had paired with Straight Talk. People, a cellphone is not going to run perfect 100% of the time. You do not expect a PC to so why would you expect a phone to. The screen is almost 2k and looks completely real. This has 16g RAM and 128g storage and runs on the Verizon 5g Ultra tower so playing PS5 games on my phone runs smooth and silk. I had a Moto Z2 Play that I dropped before and had the Instashare projector that snapped on and loved this. I am going to purchase a Z3 phone to use with the projector anyways. This is an AWESOME PHONE and has a leather backing to prevent overheating. Straight Talk is giving these away for free so go get one.

The second I took it out of the box and flipped it open you heard a weird noise by the hinge area! Yup you guessed it. They broke my hinge and didn’t even fix it. Just boxed it up and sent it to me. Now I have to send the phone back to get fixed again! This will be a total of 3-4 weeks without my phone! Some people need their phone for work!

Well was I wrong or what, they did not want to help me. When they did they sent me an email saying, basically it's a print out to send the phone in. Ended up being nothing and they wouldn't help further. So I'm kind of just stuck eating 800$ + tax. If I could do 0 stars I would.

I bought a Motorola Razr 2023 directly from Motorola in September 2025 and it has a problem with dropped calls. After speaking with Motorola Consumer affairs, I was advised of the following options: return the phone and they will repair it and return it to me in approximately several weeks or they will send me a slightly used phone after I put up a $ 400 deposit as security for Motorola that I return the broken phone. I advised them that this is no way to treat a customer of many years but they did not change their offer. I ultimately, declined their ridiculous offer and bought a new phone elsewhere. SHAME ON THEM!

I should have looked at the complaints before purchasing one of these. First off there is not a single Motorola phone that is recognized by Siemens (my hearing aid manuf). And even though I was told that the Moto G POWER 5g was the first phone to have Bluetooth 5.0 it was not compliant with my hearing aid's Bluetooth 5.0. It has been sent to the factory already and their record keeping and documentation doesn't show this or any previous call for help. Now I am not allowed to talk to a tier two tech. because I refuse to do a factory reset on the phone. This has never before in previous attempts resolved anything and takes me a week or more to recover everything that is wiped. At least ** has an app to copy EVERYThInG from another device. Motorola requires that you use Google for transfers which is another failed second-rate company. Their support people don't even know their own products features and settings.

No button to push for either of these things. Pushed buttons when prompted and was given 833-468-1468 to call. Problem? Verizon said it's a non-working number! Recent calls on my phone.... I have some numbers that are from October and November as well as December. The one I really need had calls from Nov. & Dec. It only showed one call from December and two from today. I was told I would have to call Verizon to get my call log. I doubt if I can just "call" them. There's probably a lot more involved. This is the first and last Motorola phone that I will ever buy. Between non working numbers, lack of knowledge and Customer Service skills, I'm done. Beware.

This has been a known defect since the first model. DO NOT BUY. They will not work with you or replace your phone. I ordered a phone from Motorola the morning of 12/23/2024 with expedited shipping, to be delivered on 12/24/2024. I got an update on the 24th from UPS saying they had not received the package from Motorola yet and delivery would be delayed. Motorola says it shipped on the 23rd. Today is the 25th and UPS still doesn't have my phone, Motorola cannot tell me where it is. My problem is that the delivery requires a signature and though I was home on the 24th I will be away for a while over the holidays and will not be able to sign for the delivery. I did attempt to pre-sign electronically on the UPS website but I was unable to and am having issues with UPS being unable to help with that for some reason. So unless I am home on the random day the package might show up so I can sign for it, delivery will fail. And once it fails enough times the phone will be sent back to Motorola, at which time I will be requiring a full refund.

I did attempt to contact Motorola to find out what happened to the phone I paid for but I never did reach anyone by phone and it is virtually impossible to get help via their website. The chatbot didn't know what I was talking about when I input the issue and the live person went off to "check" on my order but after 20 minutes with no response from them I was cut off for "inactivity" even though I was awaiting their response. My phone is in the wind and Motorola doesn't seem concerned at all. I will never order a Motorola phone again.

I’m extremely dissatisfied with my experience ordering through Motorola’s website and dealing with UPS. I placed an order on December 5th and paid for UPS Next Day Air because I urgently needed the phone before traveling. However, UPS didn’t attempt delivery until December 9th, four days after the purchase. When I realized I wouldn’t be home for the delivery, I tried to change the delivery method or address through UPS, only to discover that Motorola had blocked this option on their end. When the package was eventually marked as delivered on December 11th, it was signed for by someone named "LEON" — a stranger who does not live in my building. No one knows this person, and it’s clear the package was either delivered to the wrong person or stolen.

My first attempt to file a claim was directly with UPS, but I discovered Motorola had also blocked me from submitting a claim through UPS’s website. This forced me to call Motorola, and only then did they contact UPS to open an investigation, which delayed the process even further. UPS updated the status to “investigation opened” on December 12th, but as of December 20th, there has been no resolution, and Motorola has done nothing to expedite the process.

This situation has caused immense stress and inconvenience, especially during the holiday season. I purchased this phone to replace my lost device, and I’ve now been without a phone for over two weeks. Motorola and UPS’s combined lack of accountability, poor communication, and failure to resolve this issue are unacceptable. Motorola must take ownership of this problem, ensure I receive my phone immediately, and reevaluate their policies that prevent customers from resolving delivery issues directly with the courier.

Was left on delivered for multiple minutes, I had to leave my phone for three minutes as they had just done. They sent a ton of messages that said they couldn’t find my order and shut the conversation as I was “away for too long” as if they didn’t do the exact same thing. I gave y’all the order number Motorola gave to me AND my email. There is NO reason there should be an issue finding my order on a phone that costs 1000$. I will never recommend this support service.

I have purchased three Motorola phones in the course of 4 months. None are working now. The first was a Moto G Pure that quit within two months of service, the next was a Moto G Stylus that was sent in for repair after only one month of service, was then lost in the mail when they sent it to the wrong address, then they replaced it with a four year old Motorola G Pure that was out of warranty before I even got it. I've been trying to get it fixed but no one in the warranty department will admit to making a mistake, they apparently do not have supervision on the weekend because when I ask to speak to one they tell me one will be available on Monday, so they can run amuck all weekend with no supervision? Really!

To make this horrible experience come to a close while fighting literally arguing with the representatives about this issue they refused to open a claim for the other phones that were not working and now all of them are out of warranty and I still have t spoke to a supervisor after well close to 100 hrs on the phone with these people.. Best of luck to anyone that buys any of their equipment, it doesn't last long at all, customer support and oversight are non existent at best, and their customer relations department is less than disgusting.

I have the Motorola Moto G7 Power (2021). I purchased the phone from Verizon for $248.00. I prefer the Pre-Paid system of Moth to Month versus being tied to a cellular service provider for 2 years so I can "rent" the latest phone. That being said it is better than any other phone I have Purchased. Three years on and it is still performing very well. I have had no issues with it considering my accident prone lifestyle.

I've tried using Samsung, HTC, LG, Nokia-Microsoft phone. All were about a hundred dollars less than my current one. I found that I had to replace the phone annually due to a variety of issues. Not my Moto G7 Power. Quality electronic devices are becoming very expensive while at the same time the products are being produced as cheaply as possible. It's a great phone, at a great price. Individual cellular service carriers (Verizon, AT&T, Etc.) receive a copy of the OS from either Google or Apple. It is up to the Carrier to adapt the OS to their device then release it. So the OS manufacturer and the Product manufacturer don't. This might be a reason for so many people's problems.

As soon as I told them I wanted to return the phone because even tho it is unlocked, it is not compatible with the Spectrum network. I was transferred several times before eventually becoming disconnected and now they are closed at this time. I waited for a return phone call or email and got nothing. When I called them back on the weekend it had reached the 30 day mark and they told me the returns department is now closed and they will contact me during the week for more information.

I received two emails which I responded to both, the emails were to confirm I wanted to return the phones and requested pictures. The emails that received were red flagged by protonmail as being spoofed and the sender domain was invalid or something similar. I received many emails from Motorola with this failed verification about these emails being spoofed. Anyways, YES of course I want to return the phone! The email specifically said, please reply to this email. So I pressed reply and replied to both emails. The next day I received emails saying that the replies I sent were undeliverable because I was sent emails from an email address deemed donotreply.

I called again only to be transferred and disconnected again! I called back again furious and they made an incident report, I received the same exact email but now the email address to reply to was now valid. I immediately sent them the pictures of the unopened phone and called right after I sent the email. The customer service manager said they received the email and that they will make a decision in the next 1-2 days thru email. It has been almost one week and I have not received any email as I was told I would. Customer service from Motorola flat out lied to me several times, hung up on me more than once, and failed to properly contact me thru valid email addresses.

I have always bought Motorola but never have I ever experienced such terrible service from every single representative that I talked to and emailed with. An unlocked phone does not mean it will work with spectrum as the representative told me when I first bought the phone. I want my money back and have since gone to Apple. A few things. First off I had an earlier generation Motorola cellphone from 2021 that had a ton of bugs. Virtually all of these still exist. The screen locks up. You have to force restart. And unlike my older phone this new Motorola G style is 5G has the worst cell phone battery I've ever experienced. I've only had the phone 3 months but the battery has become useless. It takes 5 hours to charge and it discharges so quickly that the phone is almost useless without a constant connection to an electrical charge.

To make matters worse Motorola made it almost impossible to change out the battery. The phone needs to literally be dissected and disassembled with electronics tools change out the miserable battery. If someone at Motorola reads this and wants to fix my issue I'd be happy to give a positive update. Otherwise I have to inform everyone that this feels like a deliberate obsolescence. Not really sure why a company would make it so hard to fix such a simple problem. I would avoid the Motorola g stylus 5G 2022.

If you intend to ever call Motorola Tech Support, find another phone. My 1-month-old Motorola phone was unable to show my gmail messages from 5 different wifis. I could only get to my gmail messages on my laptop, so I knew that the phone was the problem. It took 4.5 hours and 4 agents—Nick, Cindy, Karen, and Nors—and my neighbor to fix the problem. If you ask a question, the agents answer a question that you did not ask. Karen told me to remove my gmail account, then we couldn’t reinstate it. When she told me to wipe out all the data on the phone, SHE DID NOT MENTION THE OPTION OF BACKING UP THE DATA. I had to terminate that call quickly.

If you ask for a Supervisor, you will be told that they are in a meeting. If you ask when the Supervisor will be available, you will be told they are in a meeting. If you ask how many Supervisors there are, you will be told that they are in a meeting. The Supervisor will call you back. Fat chance of that happening! Even Level 2 Tech Support is hopeless. Nors had a bonus for the useless troubleshooting that brought on my headache—a crying baby in the background. When I told her that I would wait while she took care of the baby, she declined. The baby kept crying. I had a headache, and Nors got paid!

If you have 4 hours to waste on Tech Support for a problem that they did not know how to solve, buy a Motorola phone. Eventually, a neighbor told me what to do.

There is no way to rate the quality of service from Tech Support agents. The agents know that and it shows. They are not accountable. You can buy a Motorola phone, but you can’t rely on Tech Support to answer your questions. If you buy a Motorola phone, make sure that my neighbor lives next door to you.

Motorola mobile phones are outstanding value. Comparing their flagship models to the flagship offerings from companies like Samsung, Google, and OnePlus, the Motorola's far outperform in the same price category. In fact, several of their high end phones perform as well as if not better than the aforementioned companies' offerings with similar specifications, but the Motorola phones perform at that level for half of the price.

BUT ... and that's a very BIG 'but' ... their customer service is atrocious. Do NOT use their direct purchasing option, and definitely avoid any special deals or discounts they offer, as they usually require a trade-in that is handled by a third-party organization, known as "Phobio." This Phobio company is disorganized, unavailable, and deceptively similar to most scams on the Internet. I traded in a mint condition recent model for an upgrade, and after receiving a preliminary confirmation that the trade-in was accepted, 'Phobio' sent the phone back and took back the money off of my card without warning.

I contacted them about this, but did not receive a response or a resolution. At some point, months later, Motorola contacted me to tell me that they thought there had been a mistake and that I could try again to send the phone in for a trade-in evaluation. After the horrible time I had with them the first go-round, there is no way I'm going to get duped again. Fool me once... and all that. My suggestion? If you want to enjoy the excellent performance and value of Motorola phones, buy from Amazon or some other electronics store that has a reputable mobile phone sales department. Any other experience would most certainly have to be a better one than working with Motorola support.

Why would you change sizes of the same exact phone other than to confuse and cost your customers more money in buying new phone cases and other paraphernalia is frustrating and ridiculous.

When I tried to return the phone online it would not recognize my order and I was booted from the system. So I tried to call the Product Return number, to which I spent 15 minutes waiting for the first person to tell me they could not complete my request. I was then transferred over to the Specialist who took another 15 minutes of my time to tell me that I would receive an email within 24 hours for the Return Label, at which point they completed disregarded any of my frustrations, no apologies for the time wasted in this process.

This is the 2nd time I have had significant issues with Motorola and their product service process. If I ever order another Moto product it will not be from them and I will verify any protective insurance thru another provider. IE. Verizon, eBay, or Amazon. I would never recommend this company to anyone who is looking to buy a Motorola product, research your investments before purchasing. I spent 6 hours searching for a new phone and Motorola wasted nearly 2 hours of this process, when all I wanted was to know the exact model number of the phone I wanted to order from them and they could not get that correct. I had dropped the phone months ago however it was still working like it should, no peeling up of the inside screen or anything. Over time opening and closing it the inside screen began to pop up until I was no longer able to use the inside. The front screen was undamaged and still completely operational. When I sent the phone in for the 3-5 day repair/replace it took over a week to get an email saying my ticket was being "escalated."

After a conversation today the Motorola customer service lady tells me they are no longer doing repairs, they just replace the phone completely and I'd have to pay a replacement fee $960. Mind you I bought the phone new unlocked less than a year ago for $1150 prepaid activated with AT&T. I would recommend anyone considering buying a Motorola cell phone not to do so. We ran through some checks and they decided that I needed to send my phone in for repair. After they received the phone, I got an email that my warranty was voided by "water damage" and they sent a picture of the external portion of the charging port with a tiny amount of corrosion. Well, it is an open port, and there is a thing called humidity, so this isn't really surprising.

I had no trouble with charging, and the internet is full of recommendations on how to fix this common problem if you do. There was no evidence of any water inside the phone. The charging port also has nothing to do with why I could not receive texts. But Motorola never addressed the issue that I submitted the phone for. Maybe they never intended to. A google search turns up LOTs of people caught in the same water damage warranty issue. Sounds like a scam to get out of honoring their warranties. I wish I had seen those before I made the purchase. The three big things I pay attention to when determining cell phone quality in my opinion involve: multitasking ability (RAM, without making any modifications), battery life, and camera quality. Out of the box, this phone has been good--but not great--for multitasking, which is something I do a lot on my phone out of necessity. 7/10 for multitasking capability.

The Motorola G6 charges quickly, and it takes a while for the battery to discharge with regular use (meaning light if any use of video calling, gaming, and streaming) which is a huge plus. 9/10 for battery life. The camera is frankly my least favorite part of this phone. Unless I am taking a picture in brilliant sunlight, there is significant lag in taking the photo, which means blurry photos (especially of my very energetic cat!). 4/10 for camera quality. Note: I've had the phone for about two years now, and it is more or less working as well as when I first bought it. With planned obsolescence being a very real phenomenon in tech nowadays, I would say that the Moto G6 is a good value for the money.

For the money the Moto g7 power is a winner. One star reduction for its weight, but that is rather unavoidable due to its larger battery. And that larger battery and longer useful ON time is why it's such a good unit. Resolution is so-so but I'm not watching movies on it -- 55" TVs are for that. A very valuable feature is the ability to add a microSD which can be used as a merged memory for all functions. No need to spend the money up-front for a hi-capacity phone when it can be added for pennies/MB later.

I spent over an hour on the phone with customer service trying to get my issue fixed. Not only could I barely understand the lady she was not very friendly.

They said that I could send the phone in for repair or replacement but I would be without a phone for about a week. Or they could send out a new phone and I would be charged $35 plus a temporary authorization for the price of the phone until I sent the old phone back. The second option is not an option for me because that would overdraw my account. And as a single mom I cannot be without a phone for a whole week. I switched from my perfectly good LG V20 phone during the latter part of 2018 to the Moto Z. I chose this brand because years ago when I owned a Moto Razr flip phone which was truly great. From the start there have been issues with this phone and finally, in frustration I've decided to submit a review to warn others who may be considering purchasing this model phone. Whoever designed the phone obviously did not consider that the majority of their customers would not be techies. Why on earth do I need to insert a pin in the phone to extract the SIM card?? Why isn't there a separate port to plug in my headset? Why do I have to use an adaptor? This is just another piece of equipment for me to misplace!! Not to mention that whenever the battery dies, I will need to have it replaced by a technician as there is no way that I can open the phone and insert a new one.

Now to the operational defects. It is highly frustrating to use the phone to place calls. After keying in the number there is a long wait for the number being called to ring. Finally, when it does ring and you are engaging in conversation at some point the phone will either switch itself to mute or place you on hold without your doing so. This happens even if a Bluetooth is being used and the phone itself is not being held.

At other times the party to whom you are speaking is unable to hear you even if you can hear them. Why?…. Because all on its own the screen shifts from the phone app to some other app. It should not be that you cannot converse unless you are on the phone screen. So, if I am speaking to someone and move over to some other app, like WhatsApp messages, or my email, then the person with whom I am speaking is unable to hear me. This alone makes this phone worthless for modern day communications. After one year of use, the buttons on the side to turn the phone on and off would not work so I exchanged the phone for another one with my insurance. The replacement phone has the same shortcomings so it is definitely not the case of a defective unit. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY the Moto Z.

Last year my wife and I each bought a Motorola phone about the same time. Right after the 1-year warranty, my phone lost audio function in March 2019, and in another month my wife's phone started suddenly turning off on its own. We went through the same procedure: To call Motorola Tech Support first to run basic troubleshootings and then escalate to advanced troubleshootings until at last, they determined our phones were beyond repair. Because the one-year warranty had just past, we both were required to pay about 70% cost of the original price to get a new replacement phone. My wife's replacement phone had the same problem again within one week of arrival, and she returned it for the 2nd replacement.

By now, we've only used our new replacement phones for 4-5 months, my phone started having audio issue again with on-and-off voices. My wife's phone also ran into power issue one more time. After applying the troubleshootings, we know our new replacements were beyond repair again. We expected this time we should be able to get new replacements free of charge. However, they told us something new, i.e., Motorola's warranty for replacement phones was good for only 3 months instead of one year.

No matter how we asked them to consider our bad experience of purchasing and using Motorola short-lived phones, Motorola just insisted in very cold tone that we need to pay the same price as last time to get another Motorola replacement. Isn't it too unfair for us to keep paying money for Motorola phones, which could only last three months to one year? As Motorola cares nothing for their product quality and company reputation, I think I am legitimate to say Motorola is a shameless company, Motorola cell phones are junks, and Motorola has no customer service at all.

As the month went on the echo started, then I was not being heard on the other end of the call. Now it does not notify of incoming calls all the time and the icon does not post the number of voice mails waiting. I took it back to GoWireless and they tell me they don't take back products after 14 days. My problems began after that. Most stores give you 90 days to return here in California.

Now I had to contact Motorola to take care of the phone per the warranty. It was difficult to get in touch with them and when I did they offered to send me a "used" phone in place of my 2 month old phone. In order to get this phone I have to pay app $25 (which they did wave after I complained) for the them to send me that phone, then I have one day to test that it works before sending it back. That is not enough time to check out the "used" phone for any problems. On top of that, they would put a hold on my credit card of $75 (which is much more than the phone cost in the first place) in the case I don't return the broken phone. The battery lasts for 13 hours at first and after having my Motorola for a couple of years, the battery lasts around 5-6 hours before needing a 30 minute charge. I have too much on my phone and the apps use a lot of power. I love Motorola. For 20% of the cost of Samsung then you can have a phone just as good.

I am quite satisfied with the overall performance of the device and believe that such reliable operation is a result of sheer engineering and MOTOROLA's commitment to delivering QUALITY products to consumers. Would humbly offer to submit my feedback as a testimonial input from a customer, to one of the most reputed brands in India. Just wondering if MOTOROLA, offer some PERKS/BENEFITS to the privileged customers who have been associated with MOTOROLA for such a long duration. Looking forward for a favorable reply soon. I purchased a Motorola Z3 Play on February 4th. About a month after I purchased the phone I went to set my alarms for the next morning and it wasn't allowing me to change the time. I tried to reboot the phone and that is when I realized that parts of the screen were simply not acknowledging my touch. I couldn't even power the phone down because it would ask "Power off or Restart?" and I wasn't able to make a selection. The next morning there was a strip down the right side of the screen that was just black. It was no longer recognizing any touch input. I contacted Motorola by email. I explained what was happening and expressed that I need my phone for work.

Late the next day they replied with a list of troubleshooting suggestions that made it clear that they hadn't actually read the first email. None of those options were possible. I couldn't even boot it in safe mode. Nothing. By this time the screen was 1/2-3/4 black. I explained that I wanted to exchange the phone. The phone was in a Defender type case, had not been dropped, had not been exposed to water. No damage at all...it just didn't work.

They eventually (several emails and a few days later) stated that I had two options: I could return the phone and they would have a team examine it and, if it was found to be defective, then they would send out a new one OR I could pay a total of $224.95 and they would send me a replacement and I could return my phone after I got it. So, it is a $24.95 "Premium service fee" plus a deposit of $200 ...just in case I failed to return my defective phone. Thank goodness I had an old phone I could use in the meantime! The phone I am using now is very old and horribly slow and outdated, but functions to receive the security call I need to answer each day for work.

What if I hadn't?? They just expected me to go without a phone for however long it takes them to decide if I can have a new phone?? I am nervous about this as I don't know that I trust them to even be honest enough to send a new phone. Once they have my defective phone I have no evidence to use if this goes to court other than the emails and my word that the phone wasn't damaged. I am VERY disappointed with the quality of the product, but more so by the awful response!

I ordered a battery pack Moto Mod on 2/11/19, and the receipts show that the device itself was priced at $49.99, $5.40 in shipping, and $4 in tax, for a total of $59.39. However, I have been charged $64.39. I have spent 3 days going back and forth with Joyce at Motorola Customer Care. Initially, she told me that, and I quote, "I am sorry for the inconvenience happened. I understand that you are asking additional $5 for the device you purchase. As per checking on our Order team it for the Total Tax$4.40, Total Shipping $5.00. " I responded to her, stating, "I'm sorry, this does not suffice my query. The original price of the battery pack should have been $49.99, shipping cost of $5.40, and tax of $4. This equals $59.49. Why was I charged an additional $5? ".

The response I got was as follows: "Greetings! Thank you for your response. Here's the link that you can check for more details. Please click the link below.

**. We hope that you find this information useful and we look forward to assisting you in the future. Thank you for choosing Motorola and have a good day!" I was given no explanation as to what the heck had happened.

On 2/14/19, I decided to reach out to Customer Care via the chat option and was connected with Maricar. She was very helpful, and was able to tell me that the additional $5 was an authorization hold, which would be refunded once the Moto Mod was delivered. 15 minutes with Maricar was all it took to get an answer. If I could have escalated and complained to Joyce's superior, I would have, although I'm not sure it would've made any difference. Nice to know that Motorola likes to throw their legal jargon in your face when all you want is to understand a billing question. I am incredibly grateful to Maricar, and I've had nothing but good experiences with my Moto Z2 Force, but am so deeply disappointed by my experience with Joyce.

My family loves Motorola products because of their durability and easy use. However, they do break. Motorola offers a limited warranty service for these situations. This is not the first time but you can guarantee it WILL BE the last time we use Motorola products because of the warranty service. In previous times we have sent in devices only to receive them unrefurbished with the same issues. We have sent them back only to discover that they were a few days (shipping time) out of warranty and wouldn't be serviced. This time was the last straw. I called Motorola to submit a repair request. We confirmed my number, phone, etc and then I sent it out (after having to request a new shipping label because Motorola sent me an invalid one).

A few days later I received a call telling me that the device that they received was not the correct one and was not within the warranty time frame. This was the ONLY device of that type that we had purchased and it was the only possible device that would be registered under my number! I tried to explain this to the customer care representative to try and figure out why the number they had for my device was different. They were no help in that department and told me if I wanted to pay for a new phone then I could. I even asked them just to double check the number to make sure they didn't make a mistake and he refused. However this was obviously not what I wanted to do seeming as I sent the phone in to be repaired.

The most irritating part was I asked for confirmation that the device was under warranty 3 times before I sent it because I didn't want to pay the $20 shipping if it was just going to be sent back. Every time I asked, the representative assured me that it was and confirmed the type of device I had. I now have paid $20 shipping to receive my broken phone back once again! I would be more understanding if these situations hadn't happened multiple times before and if there was any possible way that I had sent them the wrong device. I am beyond disappointed with Motorola and can assure you I will NEVER use their products or company willingly again!

Lenovo (Motorola) is sending me a new, unlocked e4. I am grateful that they have decided to give me a phone I can use. Just wish this could have been settled a month ago before I bought another one.

    Original Review: Aug. 19, 2018

This is about Motorola's customer service/warranty and ethics, not just the phone. My Moto e4 was purchased unlocked from a reputable seller on eBay. It worked fine for about a month until it stopped giving notice of missed calls and msgs. Cricket could not figure it out so they transferred me to Moto who couldn't either so they sent me a new phone. I was impressed until it turned out to be locked to another network. They refused to take it back or unlock it. It must be active on MetroPCS for 6 mos before any online unlocking site can work.

Moto could unlock it or just send me another one locked to Cricket. But no, they said I bought the original from an "unauthorized retailer", a dubious excuse for sure. They got paid for the original phone, just not by me. This screw-up was due to Moto's replacement phone being locked and useless. The whole process involved 2 missed 48 hour promises, numerous un-returned calls and misinformation which could fill another page. I've never known a company to walk away from their own error within the warranty period like Moto has.

Within three months all the batteries were bad. We charged the phones on a wireless charger every night. Our sons failed first, in the morning when he would take the phone off the charger it would last for less than an hour. We had insurance on it and we got another Motorola. The replacement phone battery did not last very long and was soon causing problems. He still wanted a Droid and got a new one.

My wife's phone failed second and I bought her a new phone, not a Motorola. Now my phone is failing. I have owned other products etc. similar to cell phones and the batteries 5,6,and 7 years. I have used other tablets and note pads for several years with no battery issues. Having the battery buried in the phone and so inaccessible is also bad business. I am sure we are not alone in this frustrating experience in that it happened to all our phones.

I agreed to the latter.

TWO, count them, TWO weeks later, I receive my replacement phone and the serial number is registered to someone else's account, so this device is LOCKED! Can't activate my SIM card on it, and Motorola now wants me to repeat steps one and two... either send it and wait up to FOUR weeks for a device (2 weeks for them to receive and process the replacement, and 2 weeks for me to receive the replacement) or pay an ADDITIONAL $105 for a THIRD replacement... I just got off the phone with Motorola. I had purchased a new Moto Z (Verizon) about 2 years ago. I started having problems with the phone almost immediately. I kept taking it back to the Verizon Corporate Store during that first year where they tried to resolve multiple issues. After that year they suggested I contact Motorola because nothing they did was able to fix the issues. I did so. Motorola spent weeks trying to resolve the problems and after failing at everything including a full factory reset, they send me a replacement phone.

Shortly after receiving the first replacement phone, the SECOND phone experienced different issues. We underwent the same process (weeks of testing and working with Motorola). They then sent a second REPLACEMENT phone (actually the 3rd phone). This 2nd replacement phone had different major problems almost immediately. We again went through their process and they informed me they would send a THIRD REPLACEMENT phone (4th phone overall). They said they would have that phone THOROUGHLY inspected so that I wouldn't have any more issues. I questioned why they wouldn't have THOROUGHLY inspected the FIRST replacement phone.

In any case, the third replacement phone had a habit of calling people randomly that were in my phone list, and after again going through all their steps (including the usual complete factory reset as with the others). They today said they would send me a FOURTH replacement phone (5th phone overall) and would ensure it received an EXTRA SPECIAL INSPECTION and TESTING before they send it out.

I have spent hundreds of hours either driving to the Verizon Corporate Store or just on the phone with Motorola and Verizon, and hours more reloading apps after factory resets. Motorola will not compensate me in any manner for my time and aggravation. They will do the barest minimum that they have to do to meet their legal responsibilities under the warranty. I will never purchase another Motorola phone and I sincerely suggest if people DO need to get a replacement phone under their warranty, that they immediately sell that phone on eBay as I will now do, and put that money towards a company that stands behind their equipment and provides REAL service to their customers. Again, I'm waiting to get the FIFTH Moto Z from Motorola and still have no expectation that THIS one will work. eBay or Craigslist - here I come!

When buying the Moto x4 it claims to be waterproof and it's not. My speaker has shut off and now cannot hear anything! In calls or music. Yet Motorola expects you to call them and talk to them with their broken phone and I don't understand how that can be if they're putting phones on the market that fail when they're protected and claim they are waterproof just to get consumers to put money in their pockets and then try and charge you the consumer to send in their faulty phone. Or you can wait weeks to get a replacement and they need to be held accountable. It's sad that they have so many negative reviews yet if it’s not putting big money in an attorney’s pocket they won't touch any of these cases. I don't feel comfortable with fake get rich quick attorneys looking at these cases to see where they can get money. And it's about the consumer yet they have made this into a justifiable game of greed. It's disgusting!

Anyways as far as my phone it attempts to FaceTime on the phone. It makes random calls and pops up a lot of malware and unless I erase all my apps and keep it simple like calling and texting. The phone it's horrible. I recommend never buying this phone as it's a money scheme that this low life attorneys can't touch cause well they’re not real good attorneys there just nobody's who can't do nothing for anyone. And if they could they'd be doing something about it with all these negative reviews. Sad! If you want to send your phone in they do not cover the cost either? You have to pay for a phone box which is 10$ and also go to pay to print the label. Moto hold no responsibility to their products after you buy them. To them you’re making them millions of dollars to ** you over. They ** Every time a consumer buys a product cause they know they're not putting good product out there yet the government stays away to.

Why do you think AT&T is getting away with so much false propaganda? Cause they're not regulated and bought rights from the government to screw you guys over and guess what was their one thing they had the government cover up? The fact that you can't go after the company via attorneys nor can you file complaints against them either due to the fact the government has ok'd them to cover up. The scheme as long as they are getting paid which is called political contributions. Same with Moto they pay political contributions to the government to look the other way when it comes to your money that's why these stupid websites say they're not accredited which a lot of people don't know what that even means. All that means is you cannot Sue the company nor can you move forward with a complaint via BBB cause they don't care and they are being paid under the table to again look the other way.

If you go on these websites it states we cannot do anything about cell phone service or phone issues? There it is...the government has ok'd them to make phones no matter how poorly made cause as long as the government gets its share of your money why the ** should they care? They basically implemented the same rules and behind the scenes fake products and oking bad and negative issues to be covered up for police officers as they continue to kill innocent people and get away with it and not get in trouble? There is a law protecting police from killing people. It's the same here. They have been protecting the cell phone industry on the same basis.

Do not buy Motorola. As you can see all the negative reviews yet our ** government allows this to happen... So when terrorist attacks happen to America I laugh and say we ** deserve that. Lol it's not terrorist that kill us it's the government implementing these people to kill us. The government has a real life purge today and it's trying to cover it up just like this cell phone idiots.

I purchased a factory unlocked Lenovo built 64 gig Motorola G5 Plus online approximately 6 months ago. I liked at first. At the time it was the best bang for the buck for the features I require, which are unlocked and not branded with any carrier logo, global network compatible LTE, CDMA, GSM, UMTS, at least 64 Gig primary storage, at least 4 Gig RAM, additional SD card slot for at least 128 Gig. Other specs are decent enough for me, including the camera.

I really wanted to like this phone more than it has come to. Although it was so much faster and more capable than my previous smartphones, a few quirks became evident now and then, including the network disconnects that others have complained about, funny noises, sudden dimming and recovery of the screen brightness while being used (not getting ready to sleep) and weird things like echoing calls and other phenomenon like that of a hacked phone. Every test I've run reveals no overt sign of hacking.

But the worst thing just happened, the Power button broke... it sank down in the frame and never popped back. It's always been iffy to find the sweet spot for making screenshots. Luckily, it snapped while trying to take a screenshot, so at least the phone remains on at all times until it's fixed or replaced. Other users have posted the same complaint except the phone couldn't be turned on.

The design, placement, materials and craftsmanship of the Power and Volume buttons are less than stellar or downright crappy. Lenovo apparently sacrificed quality workmanship in the effort to get this model on the market in a rush to present it as a budget alternative to the posh offerings by Google, Samsung and others with similar potential. But at least it's paid for, and for the time being it still serves its purpose despite its quirks and the broken power button.

It has been over 12 weeks for a promotion that was claimed the day of purchase. The arrival date was 4-6 weeks. Every 4-6 weeks to the day I would call and be told it's still pending when I have email confirmation showing that it was accepted but no tracking number is provided. They tell you it's a third party issue and not theirs but they will document it on your account. Do not ever buy a product from Motorola. They don't support them, they don't take care of their customers and they don't solve issues. They give you the runaround. Also they blame everything else but them. I have contacted the FTC and BBB as well as attorney general about this matter. They refuse to take their device back even if something is their fault. DO NOT BUY FROM MOTOROLA!!!

On December 11, 2017, I bought the Moto Z2 after shopping around because they offered the projector mod for free. I was supposed to receive it in 4-6 weeks. Since then, I have exchanged seven email chains and had several long painful phone calls with Motorola's customer service. I got the AT&T store where I bought the phone to contact them. Motorola said they never got the first receipt, then they couldn't read the one I sent, then I went to the store and watched the guy send all the information requested. Again, Motorola said that they didn't receive it.

After all this hassle, they sent me an email which I had to add information to and forward back to them. I was promised the projector would be sent in 48 hours. The last email I got said they were starting the process over and I could expect the mod in 4 to 6 weeks. I'm convinced at this point they make this offer to get you to buy the phone but hope people will get frustrated and give up before they get the free mod. I feel conned. I'll never deal with this company again.

I ordered a new Motorola Z 2 Force edition phone for SPRINT for my boyfriend for Christmas. I am a full time college student and when I saw that the discount did not get applied to my order I called into their sales support and asked for the change to include the discount. While on the phone with me they re-did the order and placed an order for the wrong phone. We had a delayed Christmas due to children at other parents houses. When the phone was opened it came on and showed VERIZON on the handset. You can imagine my horror of a gift given that could not be used. I paid with my bank card since I choose to NOT use credit cards and they don't take PayPal for payments. I called Motorola and went through 2 steps of customers reps to get a supervisor and ask for a refund and a label to return etc... She gladly helped me and gave me a Motorola internal reference number for the conversation as well as her name etc.

She indicated I would get a refund email within 24 hours so I could turn around and purchase the correct handset and get that on its way to my boyfriend whose Christmas present was less than amazing as I had hoped it would be. I have now waited 72 hours and I still don't have the email and after speaking to three levels of customer service with all the tracking number and proof the handset is in transit back to Motorola (which the rep told me 72 hours ago that she would issue an immediate refund so I could make this right for the Christmas present that went so wrong).

So now 72 hours later there is a tracking number and Motorola still is refusing to issue the refund until it is actually received, NOT AT ALL WHAT WAS AGREED UPON - and I have an internal reference number from the supervisor who was assisting - where she gave me her name to call if I had any issues - and she would come on the phone if she was in - so any of the employees can see her notes... Now MOTOROLA is NOT going to back up what the employee said they would do - to make it right by the customer - when an intended gift went so wrong - and it was the fault of the Motorola rep who re-ordered my phone as a gift the second time around.

If I had made the mistake I would not have asked for any special treatment, however with this being a Christmas gift - gone horribly wrong - and then the first time I spoke to a rep at Motorola I had to help them find my phone as they said it was a VERIZON ONLY phone - that there was not a Sprint capable handset!!! The rep made the same mistake that the rep or re-ordered the phone made when they placed the order for the Christmas gift. This is why the supervisor who helped me 72 hours ago agreed to issue the refund immediately so I could get the new phone ordered. She was trying do the right thing by a customer who had a gift gone horribly wrong. Buyer beware - Motorola will not do anything to back up an employee of theirs trying to do the right thing for a customer order they screwed up as a Christmas gift. I am horrified. If this was for me - no big deal - this was a Christmas gift.

I just bought a Moto Z Play and Hasselblad lens from the company website. No complaints about the equipment, but I also ordered a case which was not delivered. Submitted complaint on the website, got a response that I should submit a complaint on the website! Called the phone # instead and they sent me to UPS! (I don't think it's a UPS problem as I received the package, but one item was not packed.) Went back to online agent and pointed out they were sending me in circles. They asked me to submit the info again directly to them.

Two days later (on a Sunday) I got an email that said since they hadn't heard from me, they were calling the problem "solved". I replied to the email providing the correspondence history and saying the problem was NOT solved. I received an immediate bounce back message saying they didn't recognize my email (The same one they just sent to)! Went into my account and reset email. Same result. This is all about a $20 item. If they can't solve the problem, I'd just write it off to bad luck, but I don't like being jacked around in circles. I've already spent more than $20 worth of time on this. This is among the worst customer experiences I've had. Motorola's got a serious, serious problem here.

The phone is still under warranty but for that warranty to be honored they want me to either pay almost $500 to get my phone replaced and wait for the refund once the transaction is complete with the phones or go quite a while without a phone while I wait for my phone to go to them and then within 4 business days they will ship a return phone. That kind of warranty is garbage no matter how anybody looks at it. We buy these phones because we need them and mine being only a few months old is worthless.
