I've been with Metro PCS for 10 years. Never have I had such a coverage issue since they have merged with T-Mobile. I can't even go up 95 north and hold a conversation for more to the two or three seconds before I lose signal and drop the call! Web connectivity is a joke getting my text messages in or out is a joke! You know before you launch a merger with another company maybe you should get all of your technical problems worked out before you screw us customers on coverage that we're paying for!
I have purchased a 3 phones through you and since T-Mobile and you merged. The last phone I had wasn't that old maybe a year. I had issues with connectivity so I went and purchased a different phone through someone else that's an unlocked phone and I'm still having the same issues so I know it's not my phone it's you! Now what I want to know is what are you going to do to rectify this situation. You claim to have great coverage. Now you don't. Before you merge with T-Mobile I was able to go up and down 95 from Miami Florida all the way up to Pennsylvania and not have an issue with coverage. Unfortunately now I can't on 95 in Jacksonville Florida and go a mile without dropping a call.

First I loved this service. But then I had to get a new number. I was getting at least two text for some girl twice a day. Then I had to log into Facebook and when I tried to do it with my new number, her page actually came up. So I got a new number again. And AGAIN they gave me an old, used number for some guy that I get at least four texts and personal calls from a day. This is absolutely pathetic. I don't care if there are not enough numbers out there. At least you could do is take their history off the number. Good prices but cheap service!!!!

Extremely shoddy service. Also...2G should still be able to load a simple webpage. It will load absolutely nothing. It doesn't matter what network mode you try. Their plans claim unlimited service at 4g until your data plan is out, then 2G for the rest of the time. I USED to be able to use 2G but now it is completely unusable even for the simplest web page or app. They are even choking the 2G is what I'm saying. It's false advertising and criminal.

Went back to exchange. Today phone cut off for nonpayment but I paid online 3 days ago. Cut off for a 6.00 insurance no one told me about. Went back to store in Winder and Cierra was rude. I paid 6 dollars and manager thought all of these issues was amusing. Granddaughter in hospital and I had no phone and infusion so I was sick. Please tell Cierra of Winder Metro PCS to pick on someone that's not ill. Sad. Called Metro PCS and finally got someone to listen to problem. I've lost my respect for company if Cierra and her manager truly represent Metro PCS.

I DO NOT recommend Metro PCS to ANYONE. Do not be tricked by a promise of a cheap monthly phone bill (with this service you get what you pay for). It's a trick and/or gimmick to get your money for garbage service, the service is horrible! Phone calls take a very long time to connect along with dropped calls right in the middle of a conversation. The service will just hang up. If it connects at all it's usually breaking up. The internet is even worse. 4g my **! More than 50% of the time when I try to connect to a web page online or on an app it tells me I'm offline or just stays on the loading screen and freezes and good luck trying to watch a video. It's not even like I live in the woods. I live in the city but if you do visit anything out of town/woods don't worry about internet or phone calls cause there is not going to be any service.
I live downtown in the city were you think service would be better but half the time I have to go outside to use my phone because it doesn't work unless I hold my phone out the window or go outside. I have had my phone looked at and it is NOT my phone. It's the cell coverage... It's absolute garbage and isn't getting any better. Even now that they are with T-Mobile still garbage service. I had my cell tower signal receiver adjusted on my phone at the Metro PCS store and it was ok for about 2 days then... Right back to the garbage service... I will be switching company's next month. I will not pay any more for crap service. What a waste of time and money. I'm glad I'm not locked into a contract. I would hire a lawyer and sue them. Never again will I join Metro PCS.

I collect SSI, disability and food stamps, so money is an issue because I am unable to work. I started off using the $30 Metro PCS plan, then moved over to the $60 plan. My Mother is currently paying for my phone bill because she added me to her plan. A very good friend of mine bought me this new phone because all of the smartphones that were under $150, at the time, were all junk and didn't work properly. My friend bought me a Samsung Galaxy S6, a year after they were released. She paid over $700 for this phone. We bought the phone at a place called CellFix. The phone is an AT&T device which is unlocked, and put on the Metro PCS plan.
My device doesn't receive over the air software updates at all, because my phone is an unlocked version. Metro PCS doesn't provide over-the-air updates. Because I cannot receive over-the-air updates, my phone doesn't work the way it should be running. My Android device is currently running Lollipop version. I was having issues with the $30 plan so we updated to the $60 unlimited 4G LTE plan and I'm still having issues. I am unable to use data while on a phone call. While attempting to use any application, the application says that I am offline all because I am on a phone call. While on a phone call, it says 2.5G instead of 4G.
No matter where I am in my city, it takes at least 40 seconds to completely connect to a call when dialing out. I have had emergencies a few times and was not able to connect to 911 emergency services because it never connects. Like right now, if I dial 911, it will not connect. It will say dialing, but will not connect. One night I needed an ambulance and was unable to connect to 911 emergency services, so I called 611 to report it. After reporting to Metro PCS customer service, I begged the employee to call me an ambulance, but she told me she is not authorized to do so.
I'm so disappointed because my phone is not an inexpensive device and I'm not getting the full benefit of the Metro PCS service. Like, I'm paying for unlimited 4G LTE but I'm not receiving it. Because my device is stuck at Lollipop, I don't have Voice Over LTE. The call quality on the 2.5G Towers always has interference and I can never completely make out what somebody is saying to me because it is always breaking up. It gets so frustrating because they can never completely make out what I am saying to them too. I get 4G LTE speeds while I am not on a phone call and it works great.

I have noticed over the last few years Metro conveniently been shutting down their online bill pay to get customers to come into their stores to pay. REASON IS TO GET THE THREE DOLLAR FEE, I asked if they could waiver the fee since their online is down again, the girl at the counter said there is no way she can do that, I said, "Oh I see. They want that $ 3.00 fee." If all the subscribers have to do this, what a way to get free money and sneaky way to do it.

I signed up with Metro PCS in July 2009 for their $50 a month plan and have been a loyal customer since. In that time I have noticed so many changes and none of them for the better! Their service used to be better before T-Mobile bought them in 2013. They used to offer affordable prices phones on their website and even at Walmart and other places too. Now recently with this name change to Metro by T-Mobile now you can only go to one of their locations to get a new phone and I notice they are much pricier and not even the best quality either! I will never go to a Metro store especially an "authorized dealer".
The one time I did that a few years ago the salesman in there sold me an HTC which was supposed to be brand new but which I found out about actress later that it was in fact a refurbished one and it gave me all sorts of problems from day one. Another reviewer on here is exactly correct, they are always upgrading their systems and forcing us loyal customers to buy a new phone and they never give us a credit towards a new one or nothing. I had purchased a new Samsung and after only 3 months (the salesman in the store never mentioned this to me at time of purchase) they upgraded from 3G to 4G LTE and my phone was rendered useless!! So after only 3 months of spending 150$ I had to go back in and buy yet another 150 plus phone to update a 3 month old phone!! What a waste of money!!! This company really went downhill and seems to be going backwards.
Now they don't allow no online purchases of devices or services?? This is the end of 2018 almost 2019, companies are offering more and more online purchasing power and services not less!? I just paid today actually for another month's service, but next month before I pay I am going to be switching over to one of their competitors, probably Cricket, I hear nothing but great things about them and I know quite a few former Metro customers who switched to them and they all tell me they are glad they did. My friends can't believe it when I tell them I am still with Metro, they tell me it's time to make the switch and upgrade!

I used over the return quota. I was not told only so many hrs could be used... so 1 month & 2 payments later I have a part time phone. The sales rep knows these phones are no good. So why don't they try to sell a better phone. Where's the customer service that store acts like it's a bother to help you. I won't go back there again so how can I get a new phone... or am I burned... the service is great. Only complaint with that is the id application doesn't tell you everything about who's calling. I have had Metro PCS for several years and in the past they were a good company. I believe they may have signed up too many people for their system to handle. Numerous times I call a metro phone and get a ringing tone followed by answering service but the phone I called never rang. I even tried this with the other phone beside me. Another problem is their new website, I am no longer able to make a payment. It keeps telling me to enter a valid email address, it will not complete payment without this so I end up calling customer service and have to pay an extra $2 for them to complete the payment. Customer service has also gone downhill, it is very hard to reach someone who understands English. My husband & I have had our service w/ Metro for approx. 15 months, and for the most part we were satisfied. We we paid our bill promptly each month. But, my husband became disabled, we moved recently to NC to try & lower our monthly living expenses... Just in time for Hurricane Florence. Anyone who has moved state to state bearing the cost out of their own pocket knows how costly it is. We weren't able to pay our full bill this month, we even changed plans & cut 1/3 off our bill, but was still refused any type of extension. Then Florence hits. After three days of no power, high water, lost of all food, and 90° heat, I called Metro & begged them to please allow me until the 3rd of next month to pay both this month & next month with a supplied credit card # & bank phone number to verify the direct deposit. We needed cell service desperately.
After being told I should pay my bill, and other hurtful things, they decided to give us 48 hrs. of phone & text. But, the trick was, I had to call back twice for them to turn the phone back on, & go through the whole thing again. Then after 48 hrs, had to call back & explain the hell we we're going through. Again, each time getting someone new, being told how I should have paid my bill, but we'll just once give you service for 48 hrs. Which only ended up being 40 hrs. Now, Verizon may be a little more expensive, but they automatically gave free text, data and phone with no overages to all customers affected by the flooding. And I don't believe the customers had to call and very demeaningly beg for some help during a catastrophic force of nature.
Here's the amazing part. We were told we were being given these 48 hours of voice & text for free, right. So technically I've not used any minutes this month, so when my bill for this month comes due October 6, they tell me I owe them $59.00 and I'll be credited next month!!! What??? This company values $60 a lot more than helping humanity. If they won't help during a situation like this, can you imagine how they are with small, but important issues for customers? I personally will never pay them another penny if after a 15 months of perfect payments, this is how they treat their customers... especially a during catastrophic conditions. Thanks for your compassion Metro...

MetroPCS located at 25-43 St. 15 Riverdale Ave Yonkers, NY 10701. On September 11, 2018 I went to this store to purchase a new phone because my Samsung S5 Port was broken. I went to see if they could fix this problem, but they could not. I then decided to buy a new phone, and the store clerk suggested I get the Samsung J7. Explaining to me that to save money it would be to get a new number, and by doing so I would not have to pay for the phone and get it free. Being that the number of my phone is where people reach me, I decided to keep the number and paid the full price for the new phone. In mentioning the problem of my phone to one family member, this family member offer to give me a better phone than the J7 I purchased.
So I decided to return the phone to the store the next day. Let mention also that in good faith I had separated another phone for my wife, a phone that she did not want. To summarize the clerks at the store refused to take back the phone, was charged a fee for a phone that I never touch or left the store. Was charged the amount above and left with an unwanted phone and back case for the Samsung J7. It is justifiable what the policy and this store did to me? I have a Samsung S8 and have no use for this phone. The worst of this story is the store forcing you to take what you do not want or need and the outrageous charges for two pieces not needed. I have been with Metro PCS since December 2016. I switched from Walmart mobile. I wanted to get a lower rate and have international service when I am in Mexico. I was already paying $45 per month with Walmart and thought Metro might be a better bargain. Boy was I wrong. First off their advertisement (back in 2016 at least) offered a new phone for new customers. Well because technically both Walmart mobile and Metro run on T-Mobile network Metro would not offer me a new phone. I would have to pay if I wanted a new phone. Well I decided to keep my existing phone. That was in December 2016. I went to Mexico and found I actually did not have service like advertised for the additional $5 per month I was paying for service in Mexico. Despite this disappointment I stuck with Metro only because it is a hassle to change services again. Many of these companies are the same. They make promises and then turn out ripping you off.
Last year I missed my payment by one day. Metro will not give any grace periods at all whatsoever. Service is shut off and to make matters worse I could not log on to my account to make the payment online because the account is suspended. I was forced to go to a Metro PCS store to make payment in person. I went to the store and was charged an additional $2 fee since I WAS NOT paying online. That infuriated me. I went ahead and paid it but I called customer service later. They gave me a credit on my next bill. Well fast forward about a year later. I normally log on to my account to pay with no problem. I tried to log on last night, September 15th-my due date, and could not get in.
Well today, September 16th, my service was suspended. I called customer service and had to go through the automated system to make a payment. They charged me $2. I called again to actually speak with someone. I can tell I was transferred to India where they have man service reps on the weekend. Irritating. Anyhow I insisted they credit my account for next month's bill to make up for the $2 charge which is outrageous given their online platform makes it difficult to log in. The service rep in her bad English told me the charge was valid. I persisted and demanded to speak to her supervisor.
She finally came back on the line after a 15 minute wait time and told me her supervisor was busy. She reiterated that the charge was valid but they would be willing to make an exception and give me a $5 credit on my next bill. That's fine but I don't like being scolded when the billing issue was due to their faulty online platform that makes it difficult to login and also flat out does not allow you to login if you are late-even by a day-making payment. It really does not demonstrate this company values my business. I will be shopping for a new provider soon.

Was also told by sales person that we would get the second month free, and to come in before it was due and he would credit us the $90. Went into store and asked for him, and guy behind counter said “Who”? Then proceeds to tell us that that guy was only helping out and that he would not honor what we were told. He called the store manager and he said the same thing.
I then called the Metro PCS customer service, and they said I had to go to the store and have manager deal with some other department to see about getting what we were promised. I called the store to find out when the manager would be in and he told me that the manager is never in. So now another run around. Evidently Metro PCS would rather lose thousands of future revenue than honor what their customers were promised. Don’t go to this company and especially not the Eastpointe store.

I decided to get new service with Metro in the beginning of the year and when I bought the phone in Northern California the sales rep told me they were having a special promotion. If I start my service with Metro and make this payment and my next they would credit me for 2 months in the form of a $100 visa card so I signed up. Month two rolled by and I paid in full on time then called and asked how do I get the promotion credit. The rep on the phone told me that he didn't know what I was talking about and so I told him where I purchased and he told me to call where I bought the phone and service. So I call and this store went out of business.
I get on the phone with Metro and again talk to someone about what I was promised. Then told them about the promotion how I had paid and the store location was now closed. "Yes we do have promotions going on but I'm not sure which one you're talking about" was the response so I remembered also beside the rep in the store I had seen a commercial of get with Metro and the first 2 months are free. Every representative I talked with was complicated and unfruitful due obviously to a language barrier. Never received the so called promotion that I was promised when I bought the phone. I was so irritated and felt scammed that I cut off my internet service with them. Customer service is long holds, and does not help the customer. Awful company Metro PCS.

Be careful before you switch to this plan. I went in and bought a new phone and the sales rep said, "I can switch your plan over for the same cost." He failed to inform me that it would remove my hotspot availability. So you get unlimited data with no hotspot. I reached out to customer service and they said for $120 a month I could get hotspot on each phone. I spoke to John ** who said they could do it for $110 per month. I said I would call back. When I called back I spoke to Jay who said I could get the $80+ plan with 10 gig of hotspot for each phone. I said, "That is great" and he said he would set it up. He said it will take a few minutes to go live. I waited a few minutes and nothing changed. I called back. I spoke to Emmanuel and asked for a supervisor.
Randolph got on the phone with me and explained that Jay did not make the change and that change was not available. I explained to him that that is not what his rep Jay explained to me. I hung up and went to speak to Sprint, Verizon and do some research on different plans. I called back to speak with Elmer who informed me I could not unlock my phone for 180 days since I just purchased them. So I either have to return the phones and attempt to get my money back and go with a new carrier or stay 180 days with this company who does not seem to care as long as you are paying your bill and not asking questions about your plan. I understand their employee may have made a mistake in both the store and Jay who said he could add hotspot to my phones for no additional charge, but they are selling a product they should be the expert at.
If the store saw my plan had hotspot and the new one did not, they should have brought that to my attention so I could make an educated decision. If Jay (the customer service rep) knew he really couldn't add hotspot to my phones, why lie to me and say that he could and that he did. The mobile company that figures out how to really treat the customer well, provide a great service and offer a competitive choices without signing a ridiculous contract with become a leader in their industry.

Can no longer play games, surf web or download data. Last night I received a text that said. Msg: "Call detail is temporarily unavailable. View access will resume 9/6/18 and downloads after 9/30/18. No data will be lost. We apologize for this inconvenience and have credited your account $1.00." What the hell does that mean. It means no updates or game play or TV or web surf for 30 days. So I can't understand why it is so frigging slow. I feel that I am wasting my money. When I'm away I can't even view my home camera without it being a hassle. One day I drove all the way home because it appeared that I left my door wide open. I got home and the door was closed and I was late for work. I'm going back to Cricket. I only left because they don't have good cellphones. I hate Metro.

They’ve been stealing money from my dad and most answers that were given to me as an explanation was “I don’t know” and “maybe”. As many times I have called and spoke to people at Metro PCS not one of them spoke English properly. I had to repeat questions constantly because they didn’t understand the question and give me foolish answer that had nothing to do with my question. I have been a loyal Metro PCS customer for 16 years. They always had pretty good phones & service and I was very happy. Well since 5 or 6 years ago the phones have still continued getting better but the service is not as great as it once was & worst part of all they charge you for every little thing. For years I could go buy a phone and they would set it up for me COMPLETELY FREE. Now they tell you that if you buy a phone in-store you can't activate yourself. They have to. PLUS they have to charge you to set it up even though you didn't want them to in the first place! They also charge you for you using a debit card to pay your bill and they also rip you off by convincing you to get phone insurance with them.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and bought insurance on the phone at the same time because the employee who was helping told me that the insurance will replace my exact phone with a BRAND NEW one or a brand new version (Galaxy S8 or S9). Well today I called and they informed me not only do I have to pay a $200 deductible but they will send me a refurbished NOT BRAND NEW Galaxy S7 and if they don't have an S7 they will send me a different phone/brand of lesser value. And when I asked why they couldn't send me a like an Galaxy S8 if they are out of the S7 and I'm paying $200 anyway they said they don't do that so their insurance is just a scam! You can't take that $200 deductible and just go buy a brand new budget phone.
The whole point of Metro PCS was to be a budget friendly no contract/no hidden fees company and now they lie to customers, convince you to buy extra things that you don't need/won't benefit you in the process & have so many hidden fees that it's crazy. You can walk into a store to buy a $60 phone & you will expect to pay that price plus tax but you leave the store paying for the phone + tax + activation fees + first month service (which they never use to make you pay upfront. You would pay your first bill 30 days after purchase) + charge you for a phone number & if they're lucky scamming you into paying for insurance on the phone so you leave that store paying about $200 completely for everything! IT'S A RIP OFF & I'M ABOUT READY TO LEAVE METRO PCS & GO TO ANOTHER COMPANY THAT ISN'T SO SHADY.

Switched from Sprint to Metro, bought an awesome ZTE phone for $30 promotion for switching (1st ZTE device I've ever owned) then I was able to afford device insurance because my plan was cheap. So after well over $100 in insurance charges I finally drop & break my phone... No worries, I have insurance! So now, after paying a $50 deductible (+ the ~$100 in previous charges) the ZTE is gonna be 5× more expensive than what I originally paid.
If that isn't hard enough to swallow, they then tell me ZTE is ban from selling in the US & that I would be receiving a different, [better LG] device (THAT THEY SAID IS AN *UPGRADE FROM MY ZTE, *LIES!! The phone they tried to replace mine with instead was an option for me the day I switched to Metro, except that 1 would've been free because it wasn't as fast, the camera wasn't as nice, the screen was half the size, etc... I instead chose the ZTE, which as I said cost $30. So how the hell would the LG be an upgrade?!) & wouldn't even have been able to get the downgrade phone in store, I had to "call" (funny, I broke my phone... That I make the calls from) the hotline, file a claim, pay the deductible, then get the crap phone several days later via mail.
So in summary, Metro lies & withholds info from its consumers in hopes to consistently leech $ off of *SCAM programs like "Device Insurance" when, if something like this ZTE situation arises, they have no intention of making it right for the customer... THEY DIDN'T EVEN GIVE ME THE OPTION TO *UPGRADE TO A NEWER PHONE & PAY THE DIFFERENCE! (I never received any sort of notification that I wouldn't receive the SAME EXACT DEVICE I bought & paid for insurance month, after month, after month. Instead my bill came the 13th every month & I paid it. But when it came time for Metro to uphold their end of the Device insurance Agreement, they pissed all over me & tried calling it rain... For this & this alone, Metro has lost all my respect, & lost me as a customer. What a joke of a company... But you truly get what you pay for... Or not?

I then noticed myself buying a phone every year because Metro PCS kept updating their network, they will not give any notice of what is going on. I've bought phones that ended up useless 6 months after purchase, because they of new updates, not even the employees at the stores knew what was happening, until after spending 30 mins to an hour on the phone with someone in corporate to update them. I actually tried to complain, and they gave me a PO box #? How's does a cellphone company not have a complaints department with a phone #, not even a email, your business is based on cell and internet, but you only have a mailbox???
For some reason every phone rep is clueless, I try to kill you with kindness in hope this will make everything better. I've spent way too much time on the phone, and in their stores. I've been with them over ten years and never received a thank you, a coupon, or let me make this right. Never happened and never going to happen. 50 bucks a month for over ten years, you do the math. Metro PCS doesn't care about their customers or employees, also if you look at the merchandise 90% is bootleg, made in China, they last about a month before breaking. I have been with Metro PCS since 2014 and I have had nothing but problems since 2018. I made a payment using my Amex for June and my card was charged 3 times. I called customer service and explained what happened and was given the runaround initially until I asked to speak with a supervisor who handled the situation and fixed the problem until the Pre-Authorization holds fell off my account. However when they rectify this problem they push your due date out more and more and don't tell you that it's being pushed out until you read the notifications sent of the changes made to your acct. They then tell you when making a payment to go inside a Metro PCS store which in my case doesn't work for my work hours at all and they charge a $3 fee for paying at the store.
When trying to make my August payment through my Metro for $91.52 not only did the screen timeout and tell me to contact Metro, I contact Metro and speak to a rep named Jesse who is more concerned with getting a survey to me when even after I asked to speak with a supervisor twice. He tells me the payment is not showing on my account and attempt to make the payment again. Going back to My Metro to make the payment it does the same thing times out and tells me to contact Metro. While waiting to speak to a rep I check my account and Metro has charged me twice for $91.52. I call and speak with another rep who states that he is sorry this has happen, I ask to speak with a supervisor all while I am on my 30 minute lunch.
I am placed on hold for 15 mins then a supervisor comes on the line and tells me that he doesn't see any payments and I will need to call back with confirmation numbers listed on the transaction. Any fool working in the banking industry knows that pre authorization holds don't have confirmation numbers just ID transaction numbers. The supervisor was very condescending and speaking to me like I am wasting his time and I then tell him that I will make contact when I get off work to speak with him and will have my bank on standby. This company needs to be put out of business. I have never in my life had my money taken then I literally have to go to war to get it back.

Called the customer service line and was told it is not their problem, take it back to the store. I tried to explain that the store was 10 hours away due to being on vacation. Was told sorry nothing they could do. Called the local store and was told the same thing.
So I called the phone's manufacturer to find out the store sold me a phone that has been fixed 7 times and was out of warranty over a year ago. I then called the store I bought it from and was told to send them the phone which I did and within 2 hours of receiving which I know because I tracked it they call me and told me they sent the phone out to a tech and made up these excuses of why it was my fault. Well I managed to get the manufacturer of the phone to send me an email stated what they had told me. So I guess the only way to handle customer service is to either sue or embarrass them. My service was interrupted at 5:30am the same night, before opening hours. I had to go without service until I could get to a Metro PCS store to pay my bill. They were kind enough to credit me $5, without keeping the extra 2g I needed. The problem is not being able to pay with app or online, my bill was only due in 2 days. It would be helpful if they would allow 2 days to a week, especially towards at the end of the billing cycle.

I cannot receive any texts or phone calls until I hit a coverage zone.
So I decided to switch to another company. MetroPCS informed me that I had only been using their service for 18 days and was required to stay with them before they would release my phone and phone number. I bought my phone outright, and I have had this number for twenty years. Do NOT use MetroPCS. Also, their customer service employs people who are overseas and who are very poorly trained. Pros: Cheaper than a contract carrier. Free phone (A rarity in today's market). No hidden fees. Cons: Poor coverage area with massive dead zones. Abysmal customer service. Free phones are terrible. "Unlimited Data" is actually 35gb data/month with severe usage restrictions. Regular spam texts trying to upsell you. I was attracted to MetroPCS because they still had free phone promotions whereas most other carriers had moved to phone rentals/leases without lowering bills to account for no longer offsetting the cost of a handset.
The phone selection is terrible. I don't just mean the phones aren't high end, that is perfectly understandable. I didn't expect an iPhone/Galaxy but only three phones on offer even had full HD screens. Most, if not all, were unable to be rooted/jailbroken and all were full of the kind of bloatware/adware/spyware that necessitates rooting. They offer a reasonably priced unlimited data plan, but unlimited is really just 35gb/month, with throttling to 3g/2g (re: dial-up) speeds thereafter. On top of that, the data cannot be used for tethering or for video over 480p. It's also subject to throttling if you're a high volume user, regardless of your total data user and, as a MetroPCS user, you have bottom priority on the network for calls/data.
The real sticking point here is the fact that their customer service is terrible. It's all outsourced overseas to people who don't really speak English beyond a very simple script they're given. Their website is impossible to use. I don't mean that it is poorly designed, I mean that many links lead to 404 errors and it can be virtually impossible to log in to your account which makes it virtually impossible to even pay your bill. You're left with no alternative but to find a MetroPCS store (nearest to me is 40 minutes away!) and then pay a "convenience fee" for paying in cash.

Woke up this morning the 19th of July and nothing works. Nothing at all. Called customer service. They put me through all sorts of Hoops trying to get all connected and back working but nothing works at all. It's as if I never even paid my bill. I have a confirmation number, authorization number, everything for me pay my bill for this month and yet today I have no service. You think that it would be as if I had just paid my bill. My phone was turned off. I paid my bill. They do some type of programming and it's on within seconds but they can't. They have no idea why my phone's not working.
They said it may take 3 to 5 days to figure out what is the problem. That they can give me a $20 credit a $60 credit but it still doesn't do any good with no working phone. What good does it do me them giving me a credit on my account if I don't have any service. Then I asked for a refund. The lady says that she can go ahead and terminate my service but there's no guarantee that I would get a refund. That she would have to send it for a review and they will determine whether or not I will be able to get a refund no guarantee. And again 3 to 5 days for that to happen. It just doesn't make sense. My phone worked great yesterday at the last day of my due date and today it doesn't work at all.
You think that it would just be a reconnection, like if they can go and as if I just paid my bill and reinstated my account. And that's happened you know. Good luck getting a phone unlocked. I got a “free” iPhone SE by switching to Metro PCS four months ago. It was very clear, and I confirmed by searching the MetroPCS website, that I had to stay with the service for 90s to qualify for a phone unlock. After 90 days customer service told me that all I had to do was to insert another company’s SIM card to unlock the phone. That was baloney. So I called back today and was told that my service requirement was 6 months, not 90 days. When I complained I was told (after yet another phone hold) that it could be done in 5 to 7 days.
I requested a supervisor. He agreed to unlock the phone, but told me that it will take 24 to 72 hours. He agreed to extend my service for that length of time since my service expires today. Given the many phone holds, supposed delays in accessing my account, and other BS, it is clear that Metro PCS makes every effort to thwart the desire of customers to have phones unlocked. Now I will find out if I receive my unlock code in the next few days, but I’m skeptical. Always take a screenshot of the terms of your phone unlock to protect yourself.

I found on Google reviews of the store they'd done the same thing to other customers last year and the year before.
It get's worse. They also put another $5/mo feature on my phone for music on hold that I never asked for, never discussed, they never explained. Of course they'd pick something like that since people generally don't call themselves. Also, I specifically wanted an LG phone because they'd worked well for me before. After the store scammed me out of $35 I didn't have the $4-5 they wanted for the phone I wanted that was supposed to be free, no additional charge according to customer service. I've had nothing but trouble from the Alcatel. Don't buy those either.
I'd stopped getting notifications on my phone that I had voicemail. People had been telling me they'd called and left VM but I never knew it. It cost me sales and relationships with co-workers. The first tech support I spoke with had no idea what he was doing. He was going through the operating manual to see what he could find. He was supposed to find me someone who actually knew how to fix the problem and call me back in an hour. No call. I spoke to 2 other people who also couldn't fix the problem. They'd tried calling and leaving VM but no notifications.
They finally decided to reset my network and were supposed to call me in 30 minutes to make sure it worked. Maybe they did, I don't know because now my phone no longer rings or vibrates when I'm getting a call. The only way I know if a call is coming in is if I'm holding the phone and see it on the screen. Remember, I said they'd called to check my VM notifications. The phone rang and buzzed then. It wasn't until they reset the network that it stopped. Now they insist it's a problem with my phone. They insist I have to go to the store for them to fix it. The store is a bunch of thieves.
Remember the beginning of this review. I wanted them to make sure I got the phone I'd wanted in the first place. They say they have no control over their stores. What kind of company has no control over their franchises. Tell that to McDonald's, Wendy's, Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, GM, Ford, etc. This company is not interested in providing good service or taking care of their customers. Tech support is not trained. They have no control over their stores stealing from their customers. Never deal with Metro PCS anywhere. As soon as I'm making $ again I'm moving to a better company. It isn't M PCS.

Two weeks ago they changed their one time extension. Not sending out a text or anything like a quick "Hi there valued customer we are going to be changing policy" and yadda yadda yadda. Something quick and simple as that. I am very dissatisfied with this and I will probably no longer be a part of Metro PCS as their "valued customer. We'll see.

I have been a significant number of calls from unlisted numbers. A reverse search does not show account holder. It list the number as high risk. I receive about four calls a day. They are calling my landline. I am on the do not call list. The one thing the numbers have in common is a 202 area number. The phone numbers are consecutive which suggests that the same person or group purchased the phones. Bottom line, I feel harassed. I would like it to stop if not I will look into starting a class action suit against Metro for irresponsibly issuing cell phones.

I have switched from Boost mobile to Metro PCS because I was dissatisfied with the quality of service from Boost and was hoping for better care and service. But if anything it is much worse. I am lucky to get a good signal anywhere but at work I have a perfect signal. 5 bars. The internet connection is very slow and the talk to text does not work. The phone buffers almost every time I use the internet to watch anything. Needless to say I will be switching services again when I find something else. Oh and the employees at the store nearest me are very unprofessional and spend more time playing around and visiting with their friends than helping customers that come in. One time I waited 15 minutes before I was even acknowledged. I left and went to another store.

First of all Metro PCS had saved me thousands of dollars over the last two years and furthermore I even got a text from the company itself to check out their new family plan. So this very professional lady named CHARLOTTE was able to combine my mother's bill which is 102 with my account that I pay 50 DOLLARS on each month. Now I only have to pay 90 DOLLARS a month for 3 lines!!! That's absolutely the best unlimited deal I ever seen so far. This wonderful lady saved me an additional 60 DOLLARS a month by combining our accounts.
This company is one of the best I've seen so far. Of course you're going to run into a issue every now and then who doesn't but for the most part you really can't get a better deal anywhere. Unlimited everything!!! Way to go Metro PCS. Keep up the excellent customer service it's the backbone of your company. I feel Charlotte should get a raise because her actions will result in me referring all my friends and family to Metro PCS. GIVE CHARLOTTE A RAISE!!! SHE ABSOLUTELY DESERVES IT!!!

Or show your support by commenting sharing or liking on Facebook or on this forum. This will at least give you an idea as to why I posted the previous review. Mind you after writing this with you the very next morning I received numerous texts and messages on messenger and phone calls from MetroPCS I have every one of those saved and in those messages I was told that I am a hundred percent correct that this will be taken care of and here I am a month-and-a-half later I'm still waiting!
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WERE ME? Okay please be mindful that this post is extremely long but you really need to read every word of it and I really want some feedback on it from anyone who's willing to say! And while reading it please remember put yourself in my place. Pretend you're the one that's going through this or this is what happened to you and then comment! No it's not a grip club per se... I'm just trying to get information as to how to handle a situation!
Okay so my name is Stephanie ** and I am writing this post not necessarily to dog #MetroPCS per se but I am trying to find out who can help me? Let me give you a little bit of background on what has happened to me and then maybe somebody might be able to direct me in the right direction or put me in touch with somebody that can help me.
I live in Mount Penn Pennsylvania and approximately two weeks ago I went into a #MetroPCS store in this area to purchase a phone. I had done extensive research on various LG phones (because that's the brand of phone I'm comfortable with) and kind of zeroed in on the LG Stylo 3. I've always had LG phones and I'm most comfortable with them. And the reason I use my phone is not what I would say for normal usage like I don't listen to music, I don't want videos, I don't stream. My phone is basically used for my job which is I am a product tester. Companies from around the country and sometimes even overseas send me products and I am to review them and post online honest thoughts and opinions. Now some of those items are not even out to the market yet and in return for doing this I get compensated sometimes with cash and I always get to keep the product (almost always anyway).
Now that being said I have to have a phone that has a lot of memory and I need a phone that I can switch individual apps one by one to an SD card because sometimes I need to use those apps but not all the time so those are the apps that I usually put onto my SD card those and a couple of the more lengthy or heavier apps ones that use more space. I do this because I need to keep my internal memory low there for my memory will be sufficient. That has to be the main thing High internal storage and a lot of memory capability. That's the two things I need to do my job correctly. Now approximately 2 weeks ago needed a new phone because my LG K20 plus went black on me. I couldn't see the screen. I can only hear. (That's how long I had that phone). I actually like LG phones and after much research I zeroed and like I said on the Stylo 3 which is made by LG.
So I go into the Metro store in my area and I asked the gentleman close to closing about an hour and a half before closing time. I said, "Hey I need a phone and I want an LG Stylo 3." He's said, "I'm sorry but I don't have it in stock." So I told him that I would just go down the road into the next town and go to the MetroPCS store there because I knew that they had the phone in stock. And he says to me "no no no listen. I have a phone that is better than the LG Stylo." He said, "it does exactly what the Stylo does plus more." So I said, "Let me see it," and he shows it to me and I said, "Listen you know I don't know about this phone I'm not comfortable. I don't think I want this one." He said, "But listen. I'm telling you it's a really good phone," and then I proceeded to tell him what I do with my phone. Okay I spent almost 40 minutes explain to him what I needed the phone to do and why I also told him what I don't do with the phone.
I don't listen music videos. Like I said, I don't watch videos, I don't Upstream, Downstream whatever. I don't stream on that phone. It's my work phone and my work phone only and he was like nah. He said, "My mom is like you. She uses the same phone ZTE BLADE Z Max that I'm showing you right here as like a computer for her." So I'm kind of like looking at it. I'm dragging my feet because I really wanted to get the Stylo. Well then he goes on to say. "Listen. Here's what I'll do. I'm going to knock $60 off the price for you because I know you wanted to Stylo." He said, "You know MetroPCS values you as a customer and I kind of feel bad that I don't have it in stock for you." And I was like, "Well I mean you know," and he was like,"Here I'll tell you what I'll knock the price down. I'll give you the price break." He said, "I'll do that especially for you."
He said, "Take the phone home. You know check it out." He said, "it will just take you a little getting used to whatever," and I'm about to walk out of the store because he's kind of rushing me now because the sale is made and he wants to close. My girlfriend that's with me says, "You don't look very happy Stephanie," and I said, "I don't know I got to be a feeling about the phone," and he heard me he said, "Listen. Like I said take it home and test it out to take it for a test run whenever." He said, "And see if you can get the hang of it." And I was like (in my head) well I have up to 7 days to change my mind if I get home and I don't like it. I'll be able to tell in one night. I'll just bring it back in the morning and either get a new phone or get my money back one of the other. Because my knew he was closing the store and I did see he was getting a little and I'm like okay rushed I guess you should saying that I don't want to hold him up anymore.
So I figured I'll just come back tomorrow if I don't like the phone. So after playing with the phone right away I knew this was not the phone for me so I knocked on my neighbor's door and told her, "Listen. Can you take me back tomorrow because I don't want the phone. It's not cracked up to what he said." She said ok. Now during the night I was continuing to till I try and check it out and it started to malfunction like just basic commands. It wasn't responding to just the simplest things so I did what any rational person would do and I called the company who makes it. I mean seriously it wasn't responding to the simplest command. I kept got it and getting the same pop ups whatever isn't responding and then the other pop-up I would get is, "Do you want to close this app wait or report." So I called ZTE to find out like what's going on.
So I called and I get the man on the phone and he's actually telling me, "Listen. We're going to reboot the phone because I need you to walk me through it. Call me back on my girlfriend's phone and walk me through the rebooting steps." This at the factory reset and it was still doing that and the ZTE man himself said that he works for that company. He said, "Listen it isn't supposed to be doing that." He said, "You should probably take it back." And I said, "I know that's what I planned on doing in the morning. I just wanted to double-check." And then he said I went on to continue to talk to him and somehow it came up about how I really wanted the LG Stylo and he was like, "What do you mean." I said what they didn't have that phone and I explain to him what the gentleman at Metro said and blah, blah, blah.
And he was, "Look I work for ZTE and I can tell you if in fact you do what you're telling me with your phone and you needed to do what you just explained this phone the ZTEMAX is definitely NOT the phone for you." He said, "I don't know why that gentleman would even a recommended you that phone because it's not compatible. It doesn't do the same thing. It doesn't have the same capabilities as the Stylo." And I was like well isn't that something. I said, "I guess he just wanted to make a sale" and he said, "Yeah well unfortunately sometimes that happens." He said, "Just take it back in the morning." So I said okay.
I show up in the morning at MetroPCS before the gentleman who was there and he comes in the store and I said, "Look we got a real problem. I don't want the phone." I said. "I'm sorry. This was a mistake." I said, "I did what you said. I took it home, I check it out, not working at all so I'm just going to get my money back or if you can't get the Stylo here then I'm going to go ahead and go down to Penn Street and get the style there." And he said, "Well we have a problem." And I said, "What's the problem?" He said, "Well that's an upgrade." He said, "And we don't do refunds or any kind of exchanges on an upgrade." And I said, What the hell is an upgrade." and he proceeded to tell me. And I said, "Well I didn't ask you for an upgrade and you told me you were just going to knock money off because I'm a valued customer and that you're doing it special for me like what are you talking about."
And he said, "Well that is what an upgrade and I can't exchange or refund any phones that have an upgrade." And I said, "Well wait a minute. I don't know. What do you mean enough grade like what is that. I don't know what that is and I didn't tell you to do an upgrade on it." And he said, "No, no, no it's an upgrade like you know you were eligible for an upgrade so I guess that's what I gave me...”
I said, "You didn't tell me any of that. You never said that this or that. You told me you were doing me a favor by knocking $60 off the price because you valued me as a customer and you felt bad because I couldn't get the phone I wanted. You told me nothing about an upgrade and you told me nothing about the policy of an upgrade. You told me that you were going to knock off 60 bucks because you felt bad because I couldn't get the phone actually wanted it. You didn't have it in stock except etcetera. You told me nothing about the policy surrounding an upgrade because had you have told me that you know damn well I wouldn't purchase this phone. I wasn't happy. When I walked out that's why you said just give it a night and play with it. I know that's why you said that. I guess you were hoping I was going to like the phone."
"Well guess what? That's not what happened and you didn't tell me that you were going to give me an upgrade or anything like that so how am I being penalized for something you just went ahead and did it on your own? Now I'm not asking for my money back. I'm not even asking for anything free when I'm asking for is from that particular dealership or whoever is to take back this crap phone ZTE blade Z MAX and take it back because it doesn't work even like an ordinary phone should. And second of all it is not the phone that I need for what I do."
I listen to his suggestion I tested it out and I just realized what my gut had told me the whole time. Now I really need to know. I've contacted customer service. Where do I go from here? Who has the authority to change or bend that policy this one time. Because really when he told me that this phone is compatible and does just as much and more than what The Stylo does he lied right to my face. Number one, number two he never told me about the upgrade and the policy surrounding it there for making this sale I believe no invoice like I didn't. And I know he did that because he didn't mention it because he wanted to make the sale. And he probably knew that I was going to want to bring the phone back and he didn't want to tell me because I probably wouldn't have swiped my card. I wouldn't have bought the phone and he knows it.
If I had known that all sales are final I would have walked out of that store and said you know what I'll wait or I'll go to where I said I was going to go originally. And then of course he wouldn't got credit for the sale. So now here's what I need after 10 days of bugging him and being at that store and calling him and asking what he's going to do to fix it. He finally said, “Listen. Don't call me no more. Call this number. Don't bother me no more” like real rude and **. Hung up on me gave me a phone number and it here it is customer service where I pay my bill seriously. Well I ended up dialing that number like I said that he gave me. The Man Who Sold me the phone telling me that it's a corporate number. No. It's the where I pay my bill customer service that's it.
So I was lucky enough to get somebody nice enough on customer service line that spent 3 hours on the phone with me trying to help me find a corporate office that I could take my concerns and requests and complaints to and not only that he loves the formal complaint for me because after I told him what happened he said that that was wrong. You should have never sold me the phone because it's not compatible and he should have told me about the all sales are final thing before I made the purchase or immediately following. He never told me to the next day when I tried to take the phone back. Because I had the option to decline the upgrade if I wanted to and I didn't even know about that because I didn't even know there was an upgrade.
So here's the thing I have reached out to the district manager of my area. I need to know where I can go next. I need somebody from MetroPCS to please help me. I am on a fixed income. It took me 3 months to save up the money for this particular phone that I don't want but I was saving for the Stylo like I said and unfortunately my phone had just died at that moment so I was forced to take the money I had (which would have been the Stylo) and buy the phone.
Now it took me the three months to save the money and I'm not what you call Rich person. I don't have that means financially or emotionally to stick this phone in the drawer and say oh well and pull another $200 out and going by the Stylo myself and another location. And being that he misrepresented me in every way he possibly could and the company he misrepresented the company and the phone and he just plain lied to my face. So therefore I think that the sale was not legitimate and if the rules governing the sale that's not legitimate should be not legitimate as well.
So I really need to know where I go next. Who do I contact because seriously if I have to go all the way to Texas to talk to Rodger Linquist I will camp out on his doorstep and I am not being melodramatic or over dramatic or whatever you want to call it. I'm being dead serious. Because I swear that that's as far as I will take this because I have been a loyal member of Metro PCS. I have never had a problem. I have always gone to the same store and apply going to another store that just opened trying to show them some love because they're going to have a lot of customers all of a sudden. Now I get totally screwed over bad.
Like I said I don't have the money for that. I don't have money to take and pull from a bank account somewhere while posting this phone online or what have you or anything like that because I couldn't even sell this one if I wanted to because it doesn't work properly. With all the closing of the apps and low memory and I'll come on really like I really believe that this possibly could be a refurbished phone. Like why would it not be working. It's supposed to be brand new phone. Why is it misbehaving the way it is?
Either way you look at it I basically got played for my money and they're telling me there's not a thing I can do about it. Now I don't believe that. I think Metro above that. You know customer service is one of their main great points. Okay anybody can sell the phone. It's who can back them up that counts. And I've always been. I left Metro once and it was a big mistake and went right back so I am asking somebody out there in Metro land if they could help me direct me to the next person I need to speak to because seriously like I am so ready to like borrow money and fly out to Texas to try and talk to Rodger Linquist about the problem.
I don't know what else to do and I'm sincerely devastated like I can't really stop being upset. Like I said I'm not rich. I don't have a lot of money and I only had when I had and that man took it from me without even a second thought. So I really need some help. Can somebody please, please reach out to me. Private message me if I can get the messenger app open because that's one of the big ones that won't open.
If you can please reach out to me please and I'm basically begging somebody to tell me what my next step is because I really know that there's somebody in this company that we did make a mistake so let's do the right thing and correct the mistake. Let her bring back the phone. Give us back the phone and we will apply the money she spent on it towards the Stylo and let her pay the difference. I am so willing to do that. I think that is a fair solution. Like I said I'm not trying to hustle anybody or get extra or anything like that I just want what I walked in that store to purchase a phone that can help me because seriously I can't even post a picture right now because it's telling me I've low memory and I don't know how to work phones and get it to not be low memory. But I shouldn't have to because I know with an LG I know what to do to keep my memory low. I've done it for a year-and-a-half almost 2 years with my K20 plus.
So I've had no problems getting my reviews in on time except with the LG K20 plus I had unfortunately. So I'm asking you please somebody at MetroPCS please get ahold of me. Please tell me where I can go next. Please give me a suggestion on how I can get the Stylo without having to pay $200. I don't have that kind of money. I'm not a rich person. I'm not even a person of any kind of means to be honest with you.
As much as it humiliates me to say I'm on a fixed income of only $750 a month. That's all I have. That's why it took me 3 months to save up that money. And then for them have a man just take it from me like it's nothing and basically say, “You know what well save another 200 and then come back.” I mean it's just horrible and I am devastated that I would be treated like this. I know there's somebody out there in Metro land that can help me. I know somebody has the authority to say, “We made the mistake. Now we're going to correct it. Our customer person, our customer service person, our employee made a mistake” or what have you. Actually I don't think it was a mistake but I'll even go as far as to say okay he made a mistake but we made a mistake MetroPCS.

Metro PCS provided good customer support after waiting on hold for more than 45 minutes. This is a true average hold time. Other than that, if you use a lot of data and want to get the data speeds you pay for, expect to be on hold for a customer agent or tech support person often. I think my average data speed on Metro PCS was 600kb most of the time. Bill pay was simple unless you've waited past your due date. You better have another a friend nearby so you can use their phone to sit on hold with.

I had this services for two years already. They put good signal or bad signal depending of the consumer. I'm sure I'm in the black list. When I acquired the service the person in the store did something so that my phone would consume data quickly. My signal was very bad for more than a year and a half. My phone broke and I went back to the same store, the same person answered me. He asked me if I had insurance, I replied I do not remember, I checked and quickly said no. I went to another store because I understood his ill will. When I arrived at the other store I said the same (I do not remember) the employee checked and she told me that if she had insurance and that she paid $5 extra dollars for the each month, she remembered that if she was right.
My service inside the house improved. Until in a few months they implied that I was spending a lot of data and I should buy more. Two days later I did not have any more. I decided to go to the store and change to an unlimited plan. When calling customer services, my service worsened when I returned to the store and complained that I was not treated the same way. I really like Metro PCS because there is no contract, yet it is on the T-Mobile network so that the coverage is still very good. Also, when you initially sign up for service, you get a free phone, and after that, the phones are deeply discounted. You can get a name brand phone at a good price (LG, Samsung, Motorola) without having to be locked into making payments as part of the cost of your calling plan. And unlike using prepaid services involving using scratch off cards to refill minutes, there is good customer service and an actual store you can go to with questions and for help.

I bought a new phone, and on the second day I fell and broke the screen. I called the Metro PCS on Drew Street in Clearwater FL, they gave me a price, told me they ordered the screen and I just had to wait until their tech person would come in to install it. 3 weeks later their tech person was in, I was ready to take the phone to them, and was told they never ordered the screen. They are unreliable, and not a person of their word. I have lost respect for the company, apparently they are not at all concerned with customer care.

They took my $60, sold me a broken headset and will not do nothing about it. I have the receipt, everything was still wrapped up the way it was and they told me just to go ahead and bring it in and they will super glue it and let your cool tape it and it will be good as new.
I did not pay $60 for a broken headset with electrical tape and super glue. All I ask is for my money back. This company is the biggest damn joke. Skimming people out of their money. I have to have a headset because of my heart condition and all the machines is around me. That's the only way I could use a phone. I'm a very unhappy customer. $60 a lot of money to me. I went to open a "New Acçount" in store. Rep put my phone as an add on to the person that accompanied me that day. I handed my so called friend my debit card with permission to run my card for transaction of payment, for my new account. When I went literally next door to pick up my Auto Insurance card. The interior time I was in store I NEVER gave anyone permission to make decisions on or about my account. I handed store rep my ID and Card to show it belonged to me. Form for new service; my name is on top of sheet with my home address... town state zip code. The person with me is not and was not my husband... child... no Relation! Why would store rep put that person in control of my account? Who does that? Makes NO Sense.
When I inquired about the issue weeks later when I accidentally found out through a text message from "Metro" saying "Thank You!" To the person I was with the day I opened "MY" ACCOUNT. I immediately asked that individual, "Why does my phone have your name on it???" And when I called Customer Service they referred to me by your name then too and asked me for a pin # security code??? I thought... I was never given 1. Why? Come to find out my account was put under that person's name and authority??? So when second payment was made on my so called account with my money like on day of activation... so $146.00... second payment... 84.00. 2 days later... that person removed me from account, suspended my service... changed password... security question and took the credited payment solely to their phone. HOW IN HELL DID METRO PCS REP. ** Lincoln Ne.
Think or feel that was ok to do is beyond me. I've never heard that "giving someone your debit card to run (1) transaction on your behalf while you run literally next door to handle another matter briefly & return within 10 mins grants that person authority over my account or if someone completes your written application in store for you that also gives them the right to control your account specifics... make decisions... adjustments and anything else that person wants you do!!! That's the biggest load of **. If I've ever heard it. My daughter uses my card to make purchases for me when I'm unable to myself and it's NEVER given her ownership of the purchase or a right to alter decide or change my original request.."I AM THE CARDHOLDER."
When I called the store and questioned **. He was rude, disrespectful, cursed me, asked me was I stupid and was yelling at me for more than half the conversation. I was shocked... confused... pissed and amazed by his complete lack of honesty or to offer an explanation of why he put that person as my account holder and me as an "add on" that was NEVER The plan or option. I did not say my phone can be controlled by anyone but me. I later found ** also put my 1st payment of 146.00 in that person's name... That individual was not and has never been named on my card to be credited a payment on my account with my debit card. His name is not on the card! ** lied and made a false document when I asked for a copy of my appl form for new account and receipt from debit card transaction which I saw in person the day before in that same store.
What I was handed by ** was some receipt that had that person's name and transaction info. My name all of a sudden did not appear in account at all and my actual debit card receipt was not attached like it was the day before. My debit info was listed as his info. How the hell does anyone think they can get away with this mess... fraud... altering paperwork. I would not advise anyone to ever open an account with Metro PCS 1020 South street Lincoln Nebraska. The day I picked up the paperwork I was threatened by a female friend... gf... associate... whatever... of **'s because he and I were arguing over him not putting my account in my name. He didn't want to take responsibility for his actions nor did he try to fix the problem.
He told me, "You're scandalous" WHAT? I replied, "Ok you're wrong and I want my money that was taken from my phone credit and get that other person off my account and phone he has his own phone to manage and I don't interfere with that phone so how can he control mine." I started the account with my debit card and money. How did you credit them funds to someone else without my permission? That's theft. I never gave permission to anyone to do that. Never would!!! I do not allow anyone to control or make decisions for me and my life. The cause of that person removing me from my account is because he physically assaulted me and I called the police. My jaw was broken. I feel ** also assaulted me verbally and straight lied thru his teeth o he wasn't held responsible for the situation at hand with him putting another person's name inky account.and look what happened???
The worst cell phone company experience of my life and I will never recommend or advise anyone to use their service of hell. Shameful. Ripoff. False claiming false documents... Lies... Lies... I asked for a number for corporate. He refused to give it to me. You take my money. You change name on my account without permission and then you conceal my service 2 × in 72 hours? What kind of game are they playing at Metro PCS.
The actual debit card receipt was a small transaction. Receipt pinned to new account order form. WOW... it's missing... but it was there with paperwork the day before. Now...this. My card did not have Kenneth ** on it anywhere so where was this document at time of purchase... 4-11-2018. That's NOT Receipt I was given. Never seen this. If I had I would of asked and had all that changed. I would not open a account like this. Sorry. Metro & **. Straight **!!!

I was with Sprint for 12 years and found their unlimited data plans appealing. I was not pleased with my 5 line, $265 monthly payment but I stuck it out. Then one day I decided to switch work locations in Louisville, KY and my Sprint phone could not get a signal. Another person I work with also has Sprint and he just accepted the fact that he didn't have much reception and that it was supposed to be that way. I worked there 5 days and decided that was it for me. I had Sprint unlock all my phones, walked into a Metro PCS, and got 5 phone numbers ported over to Metro PCS and activated in about 25 minutes. It cost me $25 a line + $10 for the sim and activation.
Today I arrived at work and did a speed test. I am getting speeds that rival Spectrum High-Speed Internet. Metro PCS wants $125 for 5 lines. The other 4 people on my plan all said their service was better and they are thrilled with their $25 a month bill. That includes all taxes. $25 flat x 5 = $125 vs. Sprint's $265. I notice most of the reviewers on here give poor ratings and it almost made me think of going with Straight Talk. Listen to me as I have no dog in this hunt. If you want great service, HD clear talking, and unlimited data at speeds of 37 MBP downloads get to a Metro PCS store. Do not doubt what I'm saying. Oh, I almost forgot, they said they would send me a $100 gift card once I paid my second month. If my speeds and signal stay like this I will be a customer for life!

I left Sprint 12 years ago to try MetroPCS. In that time I have come to generally expect certain issues (dropped calls, voicemail crossed lines, ect.) due to how inexpensive their service is... But it has never been this bad! I moved to San Antonio from South Florida 18 months ago and purchased a new Samsung phone with local number. About 8 months of flawless service... I was amazed! Then there was the android update... Buttons stopped responding, pages were locking up... At the Metro location on De Zavala Rd. I was informed that the phone was flawed. So, I purchased a new LG K20 the salesperson suggested. Yay! No pages locking and all buttons responded... Digital utopia?
I could no longer access my own voicemail, I am getting "amber alerts" from my bank and credit card companies as returning missed calls takes 2 - 3 minutes to connect if it does at all?! Literally... I have spent an accumulation of 3 days (70 plus hours) on the phone with customer service... Trying multiple "fixes"... Imei, factory data and a mix of other (less invasive) resets. None have worked!!! The only way to retrieve voicemail now is to act as if I am calling from an outside line due to my phone never being recognized. I am still returning calls to friends whom are identified as either 5 to 6 digit business codes or amber alerts... I have given up on the VERY happy and UNDERSTANDING but completely INEFFECTIVE customer service! I do not want to use another service due to budget but have no choice! If hell is simply a constant waiting for nothing to happen... Then T-mobile is Satan!

Was told shipment of new stock is uncertain due to the fact their warehouse was in the middle of changing location in Ohio. We stated, no problem, we'll pay the $80 now & contact us upon receiving the phone in need.
Their computer wouldn't accept it because both ID# on phones had to be put in at same time to avoid additional charge of $60, They stated would contact us... We phoned them back on the 6th, 10th, & 13th... Still no shipment in yet. On the 13th, they stated, "Provide us your contact name & number & we'll call you." Apparently was upsetting them for us to call in, I laughed and said, "We already provided you," yet had no knowledge of our name in their computer!! We call again on the 19th, at 6:55pm. They received phones, were on our way...
Then lady stated, "Well you better be like 2 minutes away from us. We close at 7pm." However the web shows at 8pm told them, she got rude and said, "7pm or come tomorrow, she stated takes time to open & set up accounts." Told the Mrs., "Piss on them we'll go to the Maple Ave. Location in Zanesville," call them & yes had both in question we were needing, told them about other location & they seem like our $80 wasn't good enough for them...THAT'S WHEN IT GOT UGLY... Maple store stated that promotion ended 4.12.18 --- Are you kidding me I ask... Your company had (1) phone to offer during this so called "Special Promotion" the entire time, meaning pretty much NO CUSTOMER could have even received this offer... Yea... THE OLD BAIT & SWITCH CON...
So we didn't drive to Maple location, today 4/20/18. Phoned corporate in Dallas, TX spoke to supervisor & he said once we're at the South location & they fail to honor this due to their own issues, call me right then & there & he would speak to them. The Store refused to speak to them & stated they're independently-owned & they don't answer to PCS in Dallas. So I demanded to speak to the location's OWNER, his name is DEVON. Told him about all what happened... He stated "Sorry but I can't provide you these phones now because Dallas wouldn't offer him his rebates now." "Yet Dallas told me, they wanted to fix the issue," I stated... Devon went on to say, they say this but the 2 phones we picked out were $129 & $149, & he would be out $280. He simply couldn't help me...
I laughed & stated, "1st of all, the phones won't cost you $280. You cost is wholesale, I have 13+ yrs of management, I know business." If I buy something to sell in my store at a cost of $10 & sell it for $10... I wouldn't be in business too long now would I... "Well, you know what I mean," he stated, "I'm just a small business owner," & that's where I stopped him, & stated indeed you are & shall remain if this is how you treat consumers... He would have received his kickbacks from Dallas, he just didn't want to do "Good Business" --- At least this is how I see it... Choose your theory for yourself. There's no sale if Metro PCS is giving me the phone free right? T-Mobile is good at this. "Get a free phone on us?" You mean it's on me because none of the phone providers will cover the sales tax. I started with Metro a little over 2 years ago. I believe they sell phones that they know will cause problems, just about the time you can upgrade. I believe that if you have been a customer for over 1 years, that they should show appreciation by giving the customer, a better deal than others. I have never lost or broken a phone since I started using a cell phones, over 10 years (yes honestly lol). However since I have been with Metro I have had at least 10. All dealing with having a phone that worked good for 2-3 months and I would upgrade. The worst part was constantly calling Customer Service and every one of them telling you something different. The only way I would get help was by saying I was ending their service. Most times it was a few dollars off my bill. The problems are not worth it. I can't wait till the in a situation where I can go somewhere else. My worst regret telling so many people how good they were, I'm sorry about that.

The automated service won't let you through. What I need she can't help me with. All she keeps asking for is payment. It's not about just money Metro. Is that the way you treat customers after they have your service? I try to get online and get help on my account and it's the same thing. It's really annoying. It's put me in a bad mood for 3 days. Not to mention wasted time I'll never get back.
I need to cancel one of the phones on my account and the answer on FAQ was to stop paying if I no longer want my service. I want to keep one phone. But I can't get nobody on the phone to help me and I shouldn't have to go to a store for a problem I can settle over the phone. I can't stand this shady service anymore. I just can't. They make me use my home wifi over my data and my text don't shows up sometimes till the next day. I don't get phone calls that are so important. Like my son's school. I've had it. I switched my family to the 4 lines for $100. We got our 4 free phones, and I paid $183, and was given a receipt. We all walked out of the store with working phones. Less than 24 hours later, the phones do not work. I go to the store I made the transaction, and for 2 hours, the employee argues with customer service rep on the phone, stating I have proof of what I paid, I have my bank statement, and the receipt. The customer service rep states I DID not pay any money and that she will not restore service.
At this point, I am crying, hysterical. I had to go to work, so I had to leave without having this resolved. I feel like Metro PCS stole from me and my family, and sold me a service, took my money, and then turned off my service I just paid for. Now the company is stating I didn't even pay. I've went into the stores to let them know about this situation and they said that I need a new battery in my phone that I have to get it professionally done. But I told them there's nothing wrong with my battery that it works better than my brother and my mother right now as I wrote this message it's still on 100% anyways the service is no good with connection to internet.
They told me to use my wifi connection and I told them I don't want to use my wifi that's the reason why I bought the unlimited version so I don't have to use wifi. Even when I'm in full bars with connection to internet with service I get bad reception. So with my point of view this service deserves no stars to tell you the truth but hey no one really cares. Okay so I just bought a brand new Moto E back in January 2018. Now keep in mind I have had Metro PCS for the last year and a half. But for some reason the stores like to open a new account for every time you get a new phone. Or any deals. Which I don't mind but it makes my credibility look not so sturdy. But anyways. Since I've had the Moto E I've had issues all month and this month with service. I live literally a mile from the store. I walk to the store I'm so close. Every time I turn on my WiFi to use, I never receive and texts and cannot send texts until I turn the WiFi off from my phone.
I also do not receive calls and my phone says complete service signal. I know I'm not receiving any calls because I will have voicemails with time dates and no missed calls. I've also tried calling myself plenty of times and I don't even get to leave a voicemail mail at times. It just says this number is unreachable. Now I just got a new job and I've been waiting for a week for them to call me with my hours and wondering why no phone calls. I now know why!!! My job has been trying to call me for three days now to start me this week. And because of this ** service and phone not receiving my phone calls.
I'm now starting work a whole week later than what I should have been. My phone bill is due and now I can't pay it because my check is prolonged more than planned. Now I hold Metro PCS accountable for this mistake or whatever you wanna call it. I could have lost my job because of this and I haven't even started yet. This is totally unacceptable. The store employees are rude when you go in. And the automated phone service doesn't connect you and thinks just a quick troubleshooting is okay. When in fact if it didn't work before. Why would it work now?
So with that being said. I'm recommending someone who has more patience than myself. To record a video with these services happening so the whole world can know and people who can relate have a way of making it known as well. I'm sure I'm not the only customer of Metro to be having this problem. Very unsatisfied with their service or company in general. I use to have the ZTE Max Pro for about a year or two. And NEVER had this problem. So I don't know if it's the phone itself that's doing this. Or the service. But either way, when it comes to losing your main source of income for your home. All because of a simple phone call. That's a huge enough reason TO SWITCH SERVICE!!! No matter how much someone pays for a phone bill my attitude and opinion stays the same. I will not be continuing my service with Metro PCS any longer. And that's sad coming from a customer of two or more years.

If you call with a problem they will tell you multiple times that they care and want to help but they are incapable of resolving anything and will not pass you up to a manager, nor give you a manager or a regional's name. You can't get anyone at corporate to give a hoot. I filed multiple complaints and requested a call back but no one does. They simply couldn't care less as long as they get your money. The people at their corporate store told me if it was them they would have resolved the problem but since it is a franchise all we can do is go back to the franchise that has their name out front of it and try to get them to help. Can't give us the regional person's name or number to contact, that's against their "privacy" rules...not even their name.
They then said we should always come to a corporate store not a franchise location. So heads up. Metro PCS Corporate Store Associates told us to never buy a phone from a Metro PCS franchise...not trustworthy. Ridiculously frustrating experience hearing over and over how they want to make it right and understand and would feel the same way but they "just can't" fix it. Metro PCS is the worst prepaid phone company to ever have. Where do I begin? First if your phone is disconnected they have their system to where you cannot speak to representative on purpose. Second I paid 5 dollars. Got a cycle change. I paid 184 dollars the rest of January's bill along with February's full bill on February the 2nd and my phones were shut off on February 21st. You never get 30 days of service with these people. They are ripping everyone off whatever day you pay on with. THIS PREPAID COMPANY SHOULD ALLOW YOUR FULL 30 DAYS AS BOOST MOBILE AND CRICKET DOES! If you are on a fixed income and do not get paid until the 1st or 3rd and you pay 5 bucks for a cycle change so it can accommodate you at that time of the month. Why would you still shut someone's phone off?
And that's not even the kicker... The kicker is no one has record of said payment in their system. No one gave me a receipt and no one can find that RECORDED PHONE CALL! I would not recommend Metro PCS to my dog. I've been with them for 2 years and they don't care about their customers. Why can't anyone speak to a representative to resolve this issue? What if that customer doesn't drive to go into a store, such as myself... And if I gave 5 dollars for a cycle change why should I have to pay extra money to speak to a representative? I should be able to get ahold of an agent to resolve my issue of my phone being disconnected after 18 days... That's not fair and it's not right. This local Long Point Metro PCS store knew exactly what they were doing - they gave me a refurbished, still defective cell phone for my $55 in-store payment; my insurance replacement phone was a defective, not repaired ZTE; and NOT a brand new replacement phone – as even the METRO PCS Store employees claimed that I deserved. Oh; and let's not forget that $6 monthly insurance fee. Employees at this location asserted that I should have received a BRAND NEW, not a broken, fixed and still does not work ZTE cell phone.
Once informed of my specific situation, they washed their hands of any further involvement. They took my $55 and set up this defective insurance claim cell – which they certainly knew in advance -- was a reworked or repaired cell phone. Once they realized that I knew what they already knew – that Asurion and Metro were operating some type of scheming activity designed to defraud customers -- they claimed they were POWERLESS to do anything. So, WHY did this store initiate a warranty claim on this phone? Why did this store advise me to bring the phone back if (WHEN) it failed to power on again? What was the right thing to do.
When this cell failed to power on, I* returned it to the store. During this process, I discovered that my supposedly NEW PHONE was a defective cell sent in for repair – and this phone was still... DEFECTIVE. New warranty phones are always sent next day delivery. My replacement phone (the one in dispute) took an extra day. This delivery practice is specifically identifiable to REPAIRED phones’ not NEW INSURANCE REPLACEMENT PHONES. I was involved in an emergency situation; and I needed a phone that I could depend upon.
All the while, I HAD NO PHONE. I waited for about 5 hours... 5 hours outside the Metro PCS store on Long Point... for a NEW PHONE that would NEVER – NEVER COME. Near 5 pm, a younger employee walked outside the store and told me that the phone was still expected to be delivered before 7 pm; that was another lie. UPS deliveries are made by mid-afternoon. I finally walked into the store 2 hours later, near 6:30 or 7 pm.
Despite knowing that I was waiting outside, I was told that "THEY LEFT ME A MESSAGE ON MY LOST, destroyed cell phone” --- that my replacement cell phone would be delivered a day late. I am totally shocked by this behavior. This store has absolutely zero accountability to a certain class of customers. No one could even walk outside to tell me this – I simply think everyone was trying to avoid telling me the truth. No one had the courage to walk outside and tell me – eye to eye – that delivery slipped a day; and that I WAS NOT GETTING A NEW REPLACEMENT PHONE; instead a previously repaired cell phone – which represented a “breach of contract” with my insurance coverage.
This DELIVERY DELAY meant “indisputably” that I was getting a reworked phone; not a new one. My contract specified that I was entitled to a new cell. The phone in question, the one that failed to power on -- on multiple occasions, was covered by my insurance plan - before the plan was simply removed - without either my knowledge or my consent. Then the older employee at this store tries to SELL ME A BLADE (by ZTE) for $149. If my understanding is correct, when a current model is out of production and new inventory exhausted, the insurer and the carrier (Asurion and MetroPCS respectively) MUST OFFER a new cell that is at least equivalent to the cell being replaced. What they did to me is tantamount to fraud.
First, they send me an outdated broken old ZTE that isn't worth $20 and still doesn't work. Then, they try to sell me a new phone that they should have sent me for my $55 insurance COPAY - for a replacement phone. I should buy a ZTE BLADE for $149. Well, should I not have been sent a ZTE BLADE as a replacement under the insurance coverage? Or, should I expect an endless list of excuses which explain why my insurance plan was ignored?
When an insured cell phone is no longer produced, and the insured submits a claim for a damaged or lost phone, what is Asurion supposed to do? What is the local Metro PCS Store supposed to do? How can Metro simply decide to mislead the customer – actively deceiving the customer by withholding the truth and literally engaging in fraud by knowingly delivering a defective cell product when a customer was entitled to a new in the box cell phone. WHY WOULD I PAY $55 plus a $6 monthly fee to a once defective cell phone that --- WAS NOT worth $20 or $25?

Please, read reviews before you switch to this company. Yes, they offer a free phone, but they don't offer customer service. If you have any problems, you are basically on your own. I just switched to Metro PCS three days ago. First, it was advertised that you can get the iPhone SE for free, I was told I could only get a $75 rebate on any phone. The main reason for switching was to get a free phone, so I just got on for under $75, which was very disappointing. The three days that I have owned this phone, it hasn't had service. I have tried to resolve this numerous times, but nobody can help me. I went to a Metro store, and they said I need to go to the original store of purchase for help. That store is far from me, because I got the phone on a trip to the mall in another city.
I have called customer service numerous times, but they only have a robot available. I have chatted with two different people online, whom both were unable to help me. I even wrote an email, to which I received an automated reply, and no solution to my problem. I paid for my first month of service, plus an activation fee, and have had to go without any phone service for three days. Even though I sent customer service my RECEIPT and screenshot from my bank showing I paid $65 for my plan and activation, they say they have no record of it. This company is a nightmare, and I would urge you to look into alternative prepaid companies such as Cricket or Virgin Mobile.

When calling the customer service helpline I received the same professional attention. This is the type of company you want to deal with. A company that is professional and cares about satisfying their customers.

I went to my local Metro PCS store for service because my phone wasn't working. They sold me a new phone that they said I needed. I walked out the door and got my old phone working. So I immediately tried to return my new phone and they refused to accept the return. I then called Corporate METRO PCS and they told me to drive forty minutes to my corporate store and return the phone only to find out they won't take it back either. Called Corporate and no record of that conversation of course.

Where do I start but in the beginning... The man sounded like an Auctioneer when he was telling us about the phone and phone plans. Took a while to figure out what he was telling us. In the long run we got one phone and I decided to use my own phone from 2 years ago. The guy said before we left that if the phones didn't work out we can bring it back in 7 days. That was great fine and dandy. Less then 24 hours later, we had to bring the phones back because there was absolutely no service in all the areas we went. Huntingdon, McLemoresville, McKenzie, Trenton... It took us 1hour & 3 mins to get to the store that night. They are to close at 6 pm. But that night They closed earlier than 6 pm. (I wonder if the owners know what their employees do.)
We are standing outside the door watching them in the store with the door lock. They act like they did not see us. But we stood there at the window and knocked. Finally the female came to the door and said their computers are down. So they couldn't help us. So this morning I called before we came. Ask when they're open and she said we can't take payments or anything. By this time it just sounded like a bunch of BS. Anyhow we ended up getting back to the same store where we bought the phones in Humboldt Tennessee. Surprise it was us again... Same woman from last night that wouldn't let us in... Didn't seem like she was too happy to see us again. (I am totally for honesty truth and justice that makes me very bold when it comes to lying conniving deceiving people).
We go in there and I told her what we needed done. To return all their stuff and get our money back. I could tell she wasn't happy about it. She took the receipt and went into the back room with her phone and was talking to somebody. I knew she was up to something so I went to the door and I listened. When she came from the back room, I was at the doorway, she was surprised??? She came from the back room, she says, "Where are your receipts?" I said, "I gave them to you." She's freaking out saying that I did not give them to her. Waving the paperwork around. I told her she had receipts and I started to go to that back room. Guess what the receipts were in the back room.
She couldn't play a little game anymore with us. She finally realized she was messing with the right female, ME... We got our $93.40 back. I have realized down south we've had to really watch out with these different companies. Not just Metro PCS also Verizon store in Huntingdon Tennessee electrical companies inHuntingdon Tennessee, Hospital in McKenzie Tennessee. I got some other issues going on with people trying to pull bogus... These days you gotta watch your back carefully and stand up for what is right??? God Bless America and God Bless you.

I went to Metro PCS store to have my phone checked. The idiot said the screen is cracked. OK let's get a new one. I pick out a phone, purchase it and he then peels off the screen protector I was just told was not there, odd. To reveal a perfectly good phone. Wait it gets really stupid now. We turn on the new phone and it's defective, and we both agree. I say, "I would like my money back." I remind you I have not left the store. "Oh no", he mumbled. "We don't return money on purchases of new phones. It's our Policy." I said, "It's broken." He agreed. Now I have to send it back to the factory to be repaired. Yikes!!! Our policy is designed to steal your money. That's the true nature of their behavior and business practices.
I then get the old phone turned back on and they charge me. I now have to give this ** money so I can use my old unbroken phone before I leave their place of Insanity Inc. Two weeks later I get the unneeded new phone back. It is still broken. I can only talk on speaker phone. Send it back??? No. Go to another store where teenage marshmallow robots don't work. Liars. Anyone that has a MetroPCS account may want to look into it as they like to falsely advertise their phone. They will sell you a phone telling you it's 16 gigabytes of storage without informing you that after their apps are installed and updated that you as a customer only going to receive 4 gigabytes of storage. And that you may want to buy a SD card and because of the way they have their system software updated and their accounts when you receive an SD card you are forced to mount it to your phone making it swear that SD card is no longer usable for any other phone than the one it is mounted to.
Then when you called to tell them what they're doing is wrong and you ask them to fix it they sit there and try and blame everyone else rather than looking into it and fixing the problem. On top of all that they have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE CALL CENTER. They just pretend to file your complaints without actually doing so. As I asked for my complaint file number they said they couldn't provide one! WTF? Then they just place you on hold and transfer you until you get annoyed and go into the store! Lol. They clearly don't understand. I'll wait and inform everyone. They lie and scam. I pay $85 for unlimited everything as their $50 unlimited plan only includes 2gigs of 4gLTE data. I took it in and asked if they could warranty my phone. I was told that my phone no longer qualified because it was after the phone's warranty period. I looked in the warranty booklet in the box that came with my phone. I went back and confronted the person with my newfound knowledge and he told me the best he could do was reset my phone or claim insurance on my phone which was the same price I paid for the phone. I have had it up to here with this. I am tired of being treated like another payout.

I signed up with Metro PCS 6 month ago at the recommendations of my boyfriend who was friend with the owner of the local store. During those 6 months, I've had many frustrating moments using the phone. First, I wasn't able to receive calls. When someone called it went straight to my voicemail. Second, I was not able to call others either. There were many times when I called, there were no ringtones or calls were ended abruptly by itself. Third, when my boyfriend and I were traveling in San Francisco, we were not able to reach each other on our phones by calls and texts. The Metro PCS customer service representative said that it was probably because there were not enough towers. I don't believe that was the case. We were in the downtown of one of the biggest cities in the country. Fourth, the customer service representative at the local store are deceiving, rude, and unprofessional.
My boyfriend's phone broke after 6 months. He brought it to the store to get a replacement. Because he forgot to put the battery back, he couldn't return the old phone. The staff there convinced him to buy a new identical phone, telling him he could return it when he had the battery with the old phone. Two days later when he went back to return the new phone, he was told that the new phone was an upgrade to his account and he couldn't return it. He didn't ask for upgrade, nor was he told by the staff so. They said it was in the fine print. This is absolutely unethical practice. I watched them doing the same to another customer there. When the customer asked whether and how long he could have this phone before he returns it. They told him that he could return it within 7 days. At no point that they told that person that if your phone is considered an upgrade, you couldn't return it at all.
Last, when my boyfriend went in there the first time asking a replacement phone, they said they would order one for him. Two days later he went back there, they told him he couldn't get a replacement phone because there was a dent on the phone which they didn't mention before. The next day, they called him and told him they would replace his phone, but when he went in, they again told him no. There were no apology. The staff refused to offer any solution and was extremely rude and unprofessional. This is my experience with Metro PCS. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone. I would not consider to use T-Mobile either as they share the same network.

I went to Metro before Christmas to add a line. I was given one price. Then at the time of payment was given a higher price. I told the rep to cancel my order. He told my husband and I to wait. Went back into his computer to "fix" the problem which allowed me to pay the first quoted price. I went into a store to pay my first bill and there was an extra fee added to my account. It was the difference of the 2 prices given when I added the extra line.
In addition I was told that I would get a 1 month credit to my account which stood also to be false. After countless calls to numbers that were not valid. I finally found a contact number and spoke with a rep who was clueless as well as powerless and showed no real attempt to resolve anything. I'm guessing at this point that I was told anything just so Metro could get my business. As of today I will be switching back to Boost Mobile who I regret leaving in the first place especially over a few dollars in savings. I'd rather pay a bit extra than deal with the low quality of service with Metro. Save yourself the headache and avoid this company. No one hears you out or cares.

I switched my phone carrier over to Metro PCS because I was tired of junk phones with my other carrier. I couldn’t keep my phones charged no matter the 7 different phones I purchased over a 2 year period. I couldn’t hear clearly and no one could hear me. I could only put my phone on speakerphone. And the same thing happened with Metro PCS only difference was the manager of the store cheated and took my money… I got a free phone for 200 only to find out no one could hear me talk it was muffled and I took it back. He told me he would give me a different free phone and hyped it up and made it sound like it was getting all this free accessories with it. And then at the very end he told me I’d have to change my phone number.
And by the time we got done doing the transaction he never gave me the cover for free for my phone and said they were out and the tempered glass. He said, "Come back in a week and I will get it to you for free" and that never happened. He told me I had to buy them and so I was out a cover and tempered glass cover for this phone when I already bought all that for my new phone. Now he should have made it right from the start. I should have never had to switch to a cheaper phone and have to change my phone number and be out the accessories.
And on top of that… I witnessed him doing this to the next customer walking in the store. I could not believe my eyes. This location on Albany and where Thompson turns into Sherman… it’s right across from CVS in Beech Grove. Beware. He wants to reach his quota and sell as many phones as he can and does NOT care about you as a customer. I think it a downright scam and disgrace that this man is taking advantage of innocent people young and old. Never will I ever go back to that store nor any of them Metro PCS stores. Their phones are malfunction. See for yourself. Do yourself and your wallet and peace of mind a favor. Don’t go there. And I also experience phone call harassment. I left Boost Mobile and went with MetroPCS. The day I went into the store 11/30 2017 I waited approximately 2 hours to be waited on. I was waited on by a guy named Moe. I got the unlimited plan and a new phone. After I was all connected Moe handed me a headset and said to me, "Here this is for waiting". I said to him, "You don't have to do that but thank you," got my receipt and went home. On December 29th 2017 they shut off my phone because I didn't pay. My bill used to be that it went from the 30th to the 30th because that's why I go down and sign up on the 30th because that's what I pay my bill on the 30th!!! So I got my receipt and when I looked at my receipt I noticed that Moe I charge me $21.21 for the headset that he supposedly gave to me for free. I was Furious. I went down to MetroPCS and of course Moe wasn't there.
I explained the situation to the girl that was there and she told me that the headset was part of a bundle. I told her that I only use Bluetooth first of all which this headset wasn't and secondly if I had known that the headset was part of the bundle I told her that I only use Bluetooth first of all which this headset wasn't and secondly if I had known that the headset was part of the bundle I would have went back to Boost Mobile because I don't want a headset and I don't want to pay for a headset at $21.20 and when I explained to her that she shut the phone off early she told me that it goes from the 30th to the 29th so I'm wrong. So I went to Walmart to pick up Straight Talk for the phone. The new phone that I've gotten from it Metro when I put Straight Talk into the phone it activated to Straight Talk at $65 but the phone was locked because of MetroPCS the phone was locked internally.
I called MetroPCS and they told me that they would not unlock the phone because I needed to have the phone for 3 months before they can unlock it but of course this was a no contract plan and yet MetroPCS was holding me hostage for 3 months before they would unlock my phone. So now I have a phone that's not on, I have a $65 Straight Talk plan that I can't use but it's activated and Walmart refuses to take it back because it's activated. Never even left Walmart and they refuse to honor my return.
I was Furious. I went back to another Metro PCS store and I paid my bill $53. Now I'm at $110. My phone is turned back on and I swear to God on my life nothing on my phone works. My navigation keys don't work. I can't download apps any longer. I can't get to my flashlight because the pull-down screen no longer works so now I have a phone a Blaze LTE Z phone that does not work after only one month and I'm still with MetroPCS even though there's no contract. I really believe that the Attorney General should take heed to MetroPCS.
