Hi, yesterday I got my new iPhone and I obviously want it with my metro line … So I call for another phone… I didn’t have the line active and the customer service was giving me a hard time trying to send me the codes to a phone Who can’t receive calls or text… At the end I solve it and they charge me 22 bucks for give me a hard time … And I said ok. At least I have my line back after all this stressing hours situation all day to be exactly) and the next morning they said is disconnect because I haven’t pay and I made the payment on time and I can’t contact them because my line is not active again … After all this waste of money and precious time. I am changing to another company where they don’t charge you 20 bucks for changing lines and at the end after you pay they didn’t connect the line ... That’s awful service plus all the stress, because I used this line for work. I want my money back.

We switched from AT&T last summer, BIG MISTAKE!!!! Since purchased by T-Mobile, Metro is horrible!!!! We have 3 lines with unlimited everything and supposedly 5G but I can never open any apps unless connected to wifi, it's not my phone since I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Metro was great when they were on their own but Tmobile toggles Metro customers making my $1000 phone straight crap!!!! The only upside is our bill isn't as high as with the previous service. Check out your options before going with Metro, I will be switching to another carrier.

Then as she was going to give me a PIN she said, "Oh what’s your zip" - from 5 years - I moved so not sure. "Oh sorry. Can’t give your PIN." Wth. I answered 4 questions. Now this one I can’t. Now I can’t transfer my number and she hung up on me and T-Mobile rep which was next to me.

I been with the company for almost 2 years now. You get no perks I promise you. Then I learned as I went through a horrific disaster here in my hometown from hurricane Ida my phone would not keep a charge and it was very frustrating to go through this disaster like that but anyhow I went to Metro because I had another phone that I purchased through them when I first got service so rather than wait to send a phone through the mail and all that I just want to switch my SIM card into the first phone that I purchased through them that was all fine and dandy but they charge you $21 just to take a SIM card out of one of their phones and put into another one of their phones $21 just to take a SIM out and put it in another. And today I learned that if you go to the Metro store itself and go inside and pay your bill they charge you $4 for you to pay your bill.
This is my own opinion but I think it's pretty low of a company to charge their customers for extra dollars on their phone bill because they use their gas and drove to their store to pay their bill I wonder how many $4 in a day do they collect that's ripping people off that is Robbing their customers. The guy at the counter said, "Oh ma'am well all places do that." I'm sorry to say that if I had the means at that time and moment, I would have turned around, walked out and went down the road and purchased service through someone else. I'm sorry but I just get sick to my stomach to watch companies gouge people because they know we need our cell phones and it's sad. Would I recommend MetroPCS to anyone absolutely not and by the way I can go right down the road and I live by the tower and I can go right down the road and my phone will not get service.

I went into my lock Metro PCS in New Britain CT to look into a new phone because mine was 2 years old and on is last leg. When I went in I was greeted by a young woman and then her trainer. Their names were Marilee and Kimberly. The young woman in training was the first to get me and show me all of my options for a new phone. I didn't even realize she was in training because she greeted me with a professional manner, which really impressed me. Once I had my phone and extras picked out that is when the trainer came into the picture and went thru everything with both of us again in s very professional manner.
I completed my sale very happy obviously. I've had Metro PCS for over 6 years now and I used to have Verizon. Metro PCS had out done Verizon by far. Metro PCS has better service better coverage and honestly I don't have one complaint about anything with metro. I've never lost calls or had any problems to speak of. The reason I say this is because for work I have a Verizon product and I lose calls constantly and the service comes and goes even in the places where there's no reason to lose service. In open towns and cities across Connecticut. Most of all I want to thank Marilee and Kimberly for taking such great care of me and I was happy to be your very first sale.

They keep adding money onto my bill. I'm a new customer. I have 3 lines on my account and they're trying to charge me $130. When I first set up the service they said it would be $94 a month. A week later they turned off my lines and said I needed to pay $60 to restore my service so I did. The next day they sent me a notification saying in a week I have to pay another $75 to keep my service. I'm going back to Boost. Metro PCS has lost a customer and I would encourage anyone to think twice about this company.

If you value your identity peace of mind Metro PCS by T-Mobile is not your company. Along with many of the other foreign cellphone providers are easily compromised especially if it's a franchise. My experience starts here. The employees behind the counter easily selling stolen stock returned or missing devices with customer's info still intact. Verizon cost a lot more but I won't be easily compromised.

I used to love Metro. Now I am extremely disappointed and upset. I understand that a hurricane can cause significant damage to the towers, but that is the time when people absolutely need their service. It has been 3 weeks since Hurricane Ida, and I am still having problems with mobile internet and making calls. When I am able to make calls, the other party cannot hear me. I am not going to continue paying $60 per month for almost nonexistent service. After years of being a customer (I have switched, but always return), I am finally quitting never to return. This is ridiculous. I'm done with them and T-Mobile's crappy service.

I would of given 0 stars if possible. I have been a customer for over 3yrs, I started out there because the prices & service were decent for 2 lines. Well as time goes by I added 2 more lines on my account for a total of 4. But I begin to notice that my phone was dropping calls & running slow, I asked the other 3 people on my account how their service was, they all have the same issues I do. I called into customer support and the guy tells me he is sending a signal to my phone I need to shut it down and back on. When we hang up it will in some way reboot/update my phone. I go through the process and all it did was make Metro PCS my home screen!!
Now during this time I was looking to just upgrade my phone but here have NEVER ONCE IN 3 YRS gotten an upgrade offer! About a week after this failed reboot I FINALLY got an upgrade offer, I went in to claim not 1 but 2 phones and here I'm told they can't honor it. I would need to go to a corporate location which the closest one is like a 2-3hr drive from me!! Again I call customer support, I am told to go to a certain location not far from me and they would honor it. So I go there tell the guy behind counter about the entire matter, he tells me he can help me with it. I'm thanking god at this point, he gets phones out and then proceeds to tell me that I will be charged $259.99 each phone plus taxes!!! I was furious..That was full price! I said no and showed him the offer then he said "oh' no I thought you was talking about the new price sheet we just got faxed yesterday morning." And come to find out on the price sheet they were listed as $199.99 Not $259.99!!!
So I walked out having a few foul words to say about the whole ordeal! I felt like I was being scammed. That's how they treat loyal, consistent customers!! I don't care if it is a franchise, if the company sends an offer ALL METRO'S should HAVE TO COMPLY!! And now raising prices on insurance and goin in to pay your bill, come on that is so messed up that you are charged for paying your bill, no matter how it's paid. I am looking into switching providers, Hopefully they will start to acknowledge and show some type of respect to their customers now that Sprint joined up with Metro & Tmobile. We will see I guess, but by asking someone who still goes through them.

Anytime a so-called merchant accuses two, not one, customers of lieing to save face is someone I NEVER wish to do business with, especially in my profession. His behavior was totally condescending and from the streets and I will need to investigate his discourteous behavior further. He stoops too low for my intelligence. I am with metro pcs and now T-MOBILE. I only gave 4 stars because metro is now owned bt T-MOBILE. I left T-MOBILE to go with Metro because T-MOBILE ripped me off. Right before I left T-MOBILE they said I owed them money and my bill was only around 100.00 or less a month and I had 3 lines and I still do. But T-MOBILE said I owed them over 1200.00 dollars. And tgey made me pay it for one month and they kept shutting me off because I refused to pay that kind of money. Especially since I did not owe them a dime. I had already paid my bill for the month. Plus you are not allowed to have contracts by law anymore. But t-mobile still does.
Plus now ever since metro got bought out by t-mobile, Metro went downhill. With losing calls and about 2 and a half months ago, I had a very important phone call at I:30 in the morning for court on zoom over the phone. Well we had just paid our bill and we did not have any reason to think our phones were not working. So we tried to get onto zoom for court and I couldn't. So had my husband try to call and his phone didn't work either. Now I am freaking out because this court hearing was absolutely a must phone call because it was a hearing for us not to get evicted from our home for 7 year and a half years. That we were still paying rent every month with covid-19 going on.
It was a very important phone call. Well neither phone worked. So because of the phones not working. We did get on, but we could not hear them and they couldn't hear us. Because of the phones not working. We lost the motion. So now the landlord can have us evicted. We lost everything because of the phones not working. Then I ran to my daughter's house which was about 1 mile away. Well I drove. To try to get the judge back on the phone. Well it was too late. That's when I found out that metro wasn't working at all. Because my daughter's phone was not working either and she also has metro.
Well we found out that metro closed down a whole zip code early that morning. And they never told anyone at all. They shut down my zip code 33411 and it was off from like 2:00am until 11:00pm that night. So metro didn't work for over 22 hours and they shut it down on purpose to do something but never even told anyone they were going to shut us down for a whole day. So because of them shutting down I am still going to court. And now we are totally broke. And can not pay another 1500.00 dollars that is due tomorrow. Before noon. Or we have 24 hours to get out. So no I wouldn't tell anyone to go with metro anymore because of t-mobile. Even though my bill for 3 lines is only 90.00 a month which is good. That's the only reason why we are still with them.

I've been a customer of Metro PCS for years. I've experienced numerous issues but the humdingers are this last 4 months (May 2021- Aug 2021) have been just outrageous. Due to Sprint merger and over use of network due to Covid, your calls will drop. Your texts will fail to send. While doing Doordash you will lose service randomly and GPS will stop working. Your data will say it's fast but it tanks quickly and you can barely watch videos much less game in any app.
Their insurance is a scam. Don't pay for it. Support is horrible. Never pay your bill ahead of time. I got robbed at gun point and they forced me to rebuy my phone and changed my number and the thief got a free month's service. So much for insurance. The wireless coverage with Metro PCS is excellent. Better than ATT in my area, and the cost is less than half per month. The reason I did not give five stars is that they do not offer a discounted price to continuing customers on their new phones. Most of the phones they offer are poor quality, and the phones that are of high quality, continuing customers must pay full price for, or buy them on discount someplace else and bring in to connect.

I had to call customer service five times. Talk to two supervisors. Both gave me the wrong corporate number to file a complaint against them after I found out they put the wrong CVC code in their system which was rejecting our card after a year of paying with same card. They told me in the beginning it was a problem with their app. That we should keep trying, gave us two 72 hour extension until they're at was fixed and each time only after 24 hours they suspended our phone twice.
I demanded a refund for at least half or bill for next month and they were only authorized to give me $5 off which is ridiculous with the amount and hours I spent on the phone with them calling bogus numbers they gave me for corporate and the anxiety and frustration of wrong information. I recommend highly that no one chooses Metro. At least with T-Mobile or Sprint you get accurate and fair problem solving situations. In the past I had both T-Mobile and Sprint and they were fine. Because they have tried to switch my towers for data that drops like crazy, reset my network that never works. I have been on the phone with the managers that they have given to speak with me and dropped calls sitting in the same spot as I was when I called. If they are suppose to be a part of Sprint and T-Mobile with all of these big companies and their outstanding services and not dropping calls, how come I have the only phone that is doing this? I really would like to find a service that can provide me with coverage at all times, not just when I make a move and find out that I got service instead of, "Oh look I lost service," lol. Asked each time for the agent to note the account as such and was assured each time it was. Didn't happen. Then I used my brain and noted that each time the agent explains the call is recorded and gives the subsequent agent Id #. So I asked for supervisors to cross reference my calls to the agent's id #, which would lead them to the recorded calls... Was told they didn't exist... For fun I called. Someone was able to Hack/Manipulate into their system and he was able to use my number as his own, which led to him easily hacking a few of my online accounts. Metro seems clueless about what's going on. I have temporarily "switched" to T-Mobile, but will switch to AT&T for sure.

I switched to metro pcs in December, I brought my own device paid in full. Due to the pandemic I could no longer afford it. I switched to a family member's plan. Metro PCS then locked my device to their network only. I was informed this is done for 180 days. On day 181 I called to have my phone unlocked (they do not do this automatically), I was then told the phone was unlocked. On day 182 I called again and was informed a technical ticket had to be opened and that could take 3-5 days.
Day 187 I call and am told there was never a ticket opened. He told me he could open a ticket and expedite it and this issue will resolve in 24 hours. I called last night day 190 and was told a technical ticket takes 72 hours. She then said she would expedite my ticket and it will be resolved in 72 hours. This is bad business. I brought a paid device to this company, never informed of the 180 device unlock process, and even if I was here it is 190 days and my device is still not unlocked.

I would avoid this store at all costs! ZERO STARS 0, UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DISCRIMINATION AGAINST DISABLED PEOPLE AND VETERANS!! The manager was unprofessional, racist, overly rude and made me show my military ID and my Service Dog License twice. Even though I had already showed the girl at the counter. Then out of nowhere after I had been getting help by a salesperson that had already asked me about my service animal and I had already showed her my identification. Their rude manager comes out of the back office. Doesn't even talk to me or acknowledge that I'm a customer. She starts yelling at the salesperson that was originally helping me and the only one that was in the store. The female manager got right up to the salesperson and a low mean voice and the manager who was twice the Height and twice the size of the salesperson yelled into the salesperson's ear!
The female salesperson had already asked me if my dog was a service animal and I had already showed her my certification and the service animal tag on the dog. I was shocked by how the manager responded after coming out of the back storage room where the phones are and we had already been at the store for over 5 minutes. The salesperson was the only one in the store and we were the only customers. She was friendly to me and my child and brother and we were about to get a $800 iPhone. We had gone to our normal location where we pay our bills and the other store had called this location because they had the iPhone that my son wanted in stock. So we drove from our normal MetroPCS location to this location because we knew that they had the phone in stock.
When we walked in the store. The salesperson greeted us. She was probably about 19. She asked if we needed any help and I told her that we were looking for a particular phone and then she politely asked "is that a service animal?" I proceeded to tell her that yes it was and I showed her my service animal identification certification and the service animal tag on the dog. My service animal is active duty and has been in service for 2 years. My service animal is properly marked as a service animal and also properly trained.
After I showed the store clerk my dog's IDs. I was about to purchase a newer iPhone for my son as an upgrade. Just Then, unannounced the angry female manager come busting out of the back storage room and looked at me and then immediately started berating the store worker in front of us customers. To make matters worse the store manager did not even acknowledge us as customers!! She did not greet us and did not ask us if we had been helped. Instead she berates the store clerk!
The manager needs to be retrained, demoted and replaced! The lack of customer service. The unnecessary anger and fact that she yelled at the salesperson and me for no reason! Saying "You could get in a lot of trouble for this!!!" "That's not a service animal! And you're not disabled" then "Did you ask her if that dog's a service animal because it probably isn't and she is not allowed in here!" FOR NO REASON SHE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST MY VETERAN STATUS AND DISABILITY. SHE MADE ME SHOW MY 2 IDS A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES. She didn't even care.
THE MANAGER WAS A FEMALE WHO WAS IN HER MID-40S HISPANIC AND 180 LBS. If there was an option to give zero Stars I would! The only reason that I came to this location was because they had a large selection of phones that my normal location didn't have. I was warned that the manager was very rude by the other store. However I was not prepared for how rude she was about to be. I entered the store with my family with the intentions of upgrading one of my children's phones to another iPhone. I have a licensed service animal who has service animal tags and is properly marked. The salesperson that was at the counter started helping me and she asked politely if my dog was a service animal. I am a disabled veteran and retired military and a former Federal officer I am 100% disabled and I need a service animal in order to do my daily activities. I have a noticeable disability and I have a shattered tailbone.

So to start off I've been a MetroPCS customer for like 11 years. The company when they started came out. They offered unlimited data in a base price that I could afford. And if I had a problem I was able to actually talk to somebody who would come to some kind of resolution. Not always the resolution I like but something. As of late it's deteriorated to the point where they are just proprietary trying to get as much money out of people as possible and offering them as little as possible. The quality of their phones has decreased. Your service has decreased at at at least where I live which events in urban areas San Francisco. They can be able to get some kind of decent phone service but apparently not but anyway it's gotten to the point recently where I purchased a phone for $500.
I'm from J1. It did not work correctly and drunk calls is supposed to be unlimited data but it would connect to the internet. Unfortunately just troubleshooting it I am using more hours than I was able to return the phone by the first day so I don't return the phone even though the phone was problematic and they knew it because the customer service and the tech team were having trouble with it themselves be that as it may be. Subsequent month went by and every day it was a problem so finally I have enough money to buy a new phone so I go into one of their main branches add up without a phone that I want.
It's not cheap either and it's out of stock but they go out of their way to tell me that I qualify for an upgrade and I can have it for such and such amount of money but I need to go across town to one of their other name branches who have the phone stock so I go all the way across town and I waiting for some social distancing and asking all that and when I finally get to the counter but they have the phone in stock. Only now I have to pay full price which is more than $150 on top of the original price I was quoted just 15 minutes prior so then I called customer service and just to get to talk to a person it's almost impossible. You have to finagle and lie and say things are really going on that aren't going on because if you tell them the truth you're talking to a machine that will just hang up on you.
They offer you no option for real customer service so eventually once I figured the game out I was able to talk to a person whose only line of customer service was "Yes but yes but yes but yes but yes we know the phone that that you bought a month ago was wrong" at "Yes I see you called numerous times about it." "Yes we tried all these options to troubleshoot it but let's try and troubleshoot it again for like the 15th time." I wasn't calling this time to troubleshoot the phone. I was calling to complain about the disparity between the two branches but that fell on deaf ears as well as everything else and then I was offered some out-of-left-field excuse.
I thought they must have been running a unique promotion at the store that calling me to begin with I believe me I wasn't offered a tablet with that deal so ultimately no resolution can be found. All they want to do is sell your phone and that is ** up so that they can sell you another one right behind it and charge you full price. It's my third phone this year and it's over $1,000. To say I'm a dissatisfied customer at this is someone who's paid their bill religiously on time for over 10 years so I'm looking for options who I can switch to for a phone service besides them because I'm sure anybody has to perform better than these people are performing now.

I had a really old, grandfathered account with Metro PCS that I had to end when I moved because there were barely any towers in my area. AutoPay took the money out for the next month of service, and I called the same day it was taken out to get a refund. I didn't even have an account with Metro anymore because that was cancelled the day I ported my number away... I have no idea why AutoPay still charged me. Well, I have been calling them every single month since. At first, they said the refund would be direct deposited. Then they told me that TMobile had a new policy that refunds had to be mailed. I've confirmed my mailing address with them TWICE now and I still have not received a refund for a month of service that didn't even have an account attached to it because my account was closed as soon as I transferred my phone number.
I reported this with the BBB, but there's still no response. I'm about to try reporting it again and I'm also going to talk to my bank about refunding it and demanding the money back from Metro because it's not their money to keep. I am extremely unhappy with this experience, and I am GRATEFUL now that I had no choice but to move away from Metro. I've been with Metro since long before T-Mobile took over, and as far as I knew they were still a trustworthy company up until now. Apparently, though TMobile has completely ruined a good thing by lying to their customers - AGAIN.
TMobile, I do not care how many companies you buy out... if you do not stop gaslighting and ripping off your customers, you will forever be chasing new companies to buy because you can't hold on to the customers you've got. We don't care if you have the biggest 5G network blah blah blah if we cannot trust you with our money in the first place.

Metro gets an A+ for screwing customers out of hard earned money. I had 2 accounts with Metro, one was my iPhone and the other was the Alcatel hotspot. I bought both in December, and last week got approved for a line with T-Mobile for 0 down and new iPhone 12. I ported my iPhone # over to T-Mobile but wanted to keep the hotspot as I travel a lot for work. Keep in mind, the iPhone SE I had with Metro was paid for in full, no discount or promo. The full $399+ Tax. I had also paid my bill for the hotspot the day before I went with T-Mobile. After switching the phone service, I went home and tried to connect to my hotspot which was provided by Metro (and paid for the day before). Nobody at the Metro store advised me, but I found out the hard way, I can’t just have a hotspot account. So basically I was out the $50 I just paid for that bill. So there’s one way Metro screwed me.
The second way they screwed me, is that I have an iPhone SE that I wish to sell, yet it won’t work on any other carrier other than Metro. I tried calling and going into a corporate store, and come to find out, another surprise, because nobody told me this in advance, that I had to keep that SE active for 6 months before it could be unlocked. So a month and a half ago I paid $399 for this thing and it still isn’t even mine. It is still in the clutches of Metro by T-Mobile. Thanks guys, now I know why I’ve never used you in the past and why I will never use Metro again!

12/4/2020 Corporate 714-730-2864. Spoke with Jennifer, discussed the number of conversations and reps that have transpired, information has been taken and will be given to the internal department to further review. Jennifer was professional during the entire call, and understood the frustration. If she had the power to send me the link to the Promo, she would, but she doesn't hold the power to do so. Once the account has been reviewed, she will get back to me with Corporate's decision, if not by 3 pm today, then I can expect a call back on Monday.
12/7/2020 Corporate Office, Jennifer. Received call back from Jennifer in the Corporate office, per Jennifer, because this is a 3rd party decision, the only thing she can offer is the value of the item in the promo. I explained to Jennifer how I should be compensated for the amount of time and for the unprofessional interaction I received by various reps that began in 9/2020 to date. It is a shame to hear about the number of reps I went thru, the number of dropped calls, the number of times I was placed on hold, the deceit, and the insults a customer had to receive, for an item that is offered by way of a promotional offer to new and existing customers.
Jennifer was able to change the compensation to cover my next bill, which couldn't come at a better time, as we face another Covid shut down. However, the fact still remains, there were a total of 14 Customer Service Reps that I came in contact with, not all, but most of which contributed to the worse experience I have ever come across with a cell phone carrier. Not only do I encourage proper training and understanding of the various Promo offers that surface, which would have avoided my persistence, but also the phone etiquette that can offer customers a sense of comfort, as opposed to being made to feel like the enemy.
Each call I made to pursue this matter became less and less about the item in the Promo, and more and more about the dignity in a relationship between a business and a customer. The feeling of trying to be brushed away, as most customers will do by just walking away, but for those who believe to be treated fairly and actually stick to their beliefs, become demoralized, as in my case for months at a time. There were far too many reps involved, far too much ill intent that should not go unrecognized. Although I know it's not personal, of course, it's a unacceptable form of abuse to a loyal customer from a business that holds massive volume of clients.

Then I changed my service to T-Mobile (their mother company) and got a SIM card so that I could bring my phones to T-Mobile and found out that in MetroPCS terms and conditions that once you buy your phone outright from metro PCS you still have to have service with them for 180 days (6 months) or else they will not unlock your phone so you could take your phone to another carrier. Not even their mother company.
I called customer service and was on hold for over an hour to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor who was named Brian said there was nothing he could do for me because it was in the terms and conditions that after you buy or purchase your phone you have to have service for 180 days and before they will unlock it. As I left the store she told me that Metro PCS service was just bad and she didn't think there was anything wrong with my first phone. This was after the people at Metro PCS told me my phone was cutting out while talking to them..
The second phone was just as bad as the first phone. I could not hold a conversation because it kept cutting out. When I called Metro PCS again to complain they again agreed that I kept cutting out while talking to them and agreed to send me another replacement phone overnight but first I had to wait for them to email a label to me, take the second phone to the post office, call Metro PCS to inform them that I had put the phone in the US mail. Then I waited until the post office notified Metro that the phone was, indeed, in the mail then Metro sent me a third phone. I had already mailed back the first phone.
The people at Metro told me to take the third phone to the store for activation and to tell the people there to contact EFR or ESR and there would not be another activation fee. Not wanting to deal with the manager at the Independence store again I took the phone to a Blue Springs, Missouri store for activation. He didn't seem to know what EFR or ESR meant and gave me a phone number, 800 373 2876, to call when I got home to be reimbursed for the activation fee. I wanted to make the call from the store but he told me we couldn't call from there. When I got home I called the number but could not be connected to a human and the automation kept telling me I owed $22.07. I called other numbers but was not able to talk to a person from any of the numbers I had. The automation voice was on every number and kept telling me I owed $22.07 activation fee. I finally gave my credit card to the auto voice and my phone was activated.
So far I have paid $152.16 + $50.00 + $22.06 + $22.07 at a total of $246.29. I have had this third phone for 2 days now and have spoken to a few people that have told me the phone is cutting out but not nearly as bad as the first two phones. I really like this MOTO G phone and am hoping it will work out but if it gives me any trouble today I will go to another company with nicer employees and a different phone. Not fooling with Metro PCS or T-Mobile or Motorola phones any longer.

Metro PCS franchises out locations (most of them) to Foreigners (Middle Easterners) & when you call for service the reps are in India etc and have a total disrespect & disregard for Americans that pay their ungrateful salaries. They offer the least expensive phone deals giving you least effective brand new phones but don't tell you (Up front) that within that service you will NOT be able not make FREE business conference calls, you will NOT get trouble Free reception on their basic or so-called unlimited data plans, you will also frequently NOT have usage of your phone @ all when they force you to do upgrades!!! This is dangerous if you have a life changing emergency at hand and need to reach someone or call 911.
You should NEVER not be able to access your phone use if your bill is currently paid. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT do business w/ them. There are lots of other reputable businesses that offer great plan deals and respect to its customer base simultaneously. And don't be fooled by their affiliate "Mint" phone company they come up w/ new names all the time to get you to be under the same old T-Mobile (bad reception/ terrible customer service) entity. With METRO PC "MESS" you get EXACTLY & precisely what you pay for!! I pays to spend a lil bit more for a lot more in the end.

A month later...I called asking where it was. Response? 'We have no record of that conversation and you can't have another phone for free' (no joke). Mind you this phone HAVE WORKED AT ALL AT WORK TEXTING OR INTERNET since day one. (Day one!!!)
I am supposed to be paying $60 month UNLIMITED but my phone only works at HOME!!!! I swear by my life on this. I will preface this now, because I know once you start reading you will ask why put up with it? I am disabled and on a fixed income, and I look after my elderly mom. Anyways this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life, when I tell you their customer service has made me somewhat prejudiced towards outsourced call centers csr's, and full of rage I once threw my phone at the wall. This is only addressing their outsourced call center agents, not the typical meh customer service you get at their stores.
While going through health issues, my mom deemed I needed a phone. I never really did smartphones before and only did prepaid phones from Walmart over the years, because I like to talk in person to people & I'm old fashioned. Anyways for my birthday she got me a phone from Metro PCS and I went with what I thought was an okay phone.
Fast forward to having network issues and making the horrible mistake of calling 611 lol. I had many agents do 1 of 3 things. Network device refresh, troubleshoot, or set up tickets. I think over the 4 years I have had hundreds of tickets setup for me, and never once did technical support ever call me back. These outsourced agents get paid money for doing nothing. 99% of time they set up tickets and say wait 3-5 business days and you will be contacted. Never do. I had so many network device refreshes put on my phone, they put notes on my account that I can never get another one ever, but take my $60 every month.
I had agents tell me that I was trying to get free crap, and I was a thief, I had so called supervisors never answer any of my questions in regards to whatever issue I was calling in about, but tell me I was just trying to get network device refresh. I have offered to email them screenshots of whatever my issues were with the phone, they never allowed me to but called me thief, liar, and freeloader. They have made me so mad, I have thrown my phone at the wall by my La-Z-Boy because the supervisor never listened. I swear every outsourced agent hates Americans, get paid for nothing other than saying things in a nice tone but never listening, and setting up tickets to get you off the phone.
They never provide any real solutions or help. They tell you to go to store, after a while. No matter the agent, whether nice in tone or not, I never talked to people so cold blooded and hearted. Even the supervisor don't care when you tell them how you have been treated by agents, seem so nonchalant. I have had agents lie to me, I have had agents do whatever to get me off the phone. I realize now they only have 4 modes, network device refresh, setup tickets, barely any real tech troubleshooting, and putting another agent on the phone who pretend to be a supervisor. That's been my experience for 4 years. I have had agents constantly yawn on the phone like they are bored , and nonchalant. I mean these people can do whatever and still get paid. I have said in the past out of anger how I wish I had their job since they pretty much do anything, and in America we don't treat people like that.
I would tell everyone in the world my experience and anyone not strapped for money to run to a better carrier. Far away from Metropcs. I only am still with them because of $60 unlimited data, and Amazon Prime. That's it. I tried visible but their speeds were worst and customer support is still rough around the edges. I bought their r2 phone and it died a week after purchase, on top of network issues, they refunded for bad services but not the phone too.
I am still with Metro pcs but for the love of all that is holy, run away from these people. I truly mean it. The outsourced call centers are filled with Satan's who will talk to you in a nice tone but will ultimately treat you like crap(other 4 letter word). I'll end on my most recent call ins. 2 days ago I call in due to mobile data timing out, 1st male agent ignores me constantly and telling me it's just deprioritization, lies about pinging the nearest tower towards me(after he wastes my time for an hour). 2nd female agent does the tower ping, and issue still persists. I call in the following day, female agent keeps lying and dragging out things, hoping I'll hang up so I don't speak with a so called supervisor.
I speak to so called supervisor, who constantly cuts me off. Especially when I tell her how I've been treated over the 4 years, and how I rarely call in because it's a joke to. Instead I search Google and forums in regards to my issue. I ask her about Northwest Indiana and if that's what's causing my data to work one minute and stop the next. She couldn't answer my question. I demand compensation for 4 days of service issues, with data starting and stopping. She sets up ticket, and gives me $10 compensation. I tell her thanks, and then she ends the call with thank you for me telling me your problems really fast.
Metro pcs call center is that in name only. I wish I could travel and work there in the Philippines (where many agents tell me they are) metro pcs call center. I mean they can do and get away with anything with 0 repercussions. They can talk to you any kind of way, as long as it's a nice tone. I truly believe it's an American hatred there too.
They have made me very negative towards all Philippine call centers, especially if outsourced by Metro pcs. If I can find the same speeds, and package elsewhere I would totally leave. I don't like being abused. I wish I had been smart and recorded the worst of the worst over 4 years so I could sue Metro pcs, their call center has caused me so much mental anguish over the years, that I have become conditioned to pay my bill and avoid customer service altogether unless I want to be abused and mistreated as a handicapped ** person in the south.

Aug 25, 2020 at a franschise Metro PCS store reinforces similar experience at another franschise location in 2018. Each and every service is charged at some rate you don't hear about until after you've invested time explaining something simple that they can set a few parameters on your phone in front of you. In 2018 it was configuring an android byo phone to use their network. Back then I was to be charged $50 to set network parameters. This was after he charged me for SIM card and installed it. I was so upset, I refused, took my phone home, searched on internet, followed instructions and activated my phone at home.
Today, I wanted to move one active phone number to another active metro pcs phone. Had both phone and SIM card. He charged me $21.69. As I stared at the empty store, the young kid behind the glass, I knew this business model was wrong. In the search for profit and low prices by metro pcs, the franschisee is forced to make profit on each service encounter. The more you can nickel and dime each service encounter, the greater the profit. The worse the customer experience. Though I feel for the franschisee, metro pcs has seen the last nickel and dime from me. There has got to be a better way than this to provide an economical phone service and satisfactory customer service. With baby bells and landlines, at least the service was much better than this.

On Monday August 17, 2020 I couldn't place phone calls from Austin, Texas to Dallas. From Monday through today (Wednesday), the customer service phone number does not work. It opens your myMetro app and says to follow the instructions on the screen and the call closes. And there are no instructions on the screen except "pay your bill" which is not due yet. No way to contact Metro PCS about why can't I phone Dallas. Chat on their web site says to call customer service.
When I complained to the Better Business Bureau on Monday, their "executive response" phoned me Tuesday, and told me that, you know, there is an epidemic, you know, and they are finding it hard to keep their call centers open all of the time, you know? And, you know, that's how the world works! It took him 2.5 minutes to keep repeating that. When I hung up he called back and started in again.
Since he didn't say the call centers are CLOSED due to the epidemic, but that they are having trouble keeping them open, I read this to mean that Metro PCS' contractor is packing its call center employees like sardines and they're all getting sick, taking the disease home to their families and starting outbreaks in communities that didn't necessarily already have outbreaks just as happened in the U.S. meat packing industry.
I won't do business with a company like this. I immediately switched to another phone carrier. I wrote T Mobile's CEO and told him why. As soon as I get my new phone and port my number I am OUT of there. Previously I've found that I almost get my money's worth with this company. Service usually works, but customer service is unprofessional and not knowledgeable.

I have been with them for over 2 years now. Still have the same phone I got when I signed up. On my account it says I have a upgrade. So I called to see what my discount was. They said it's zero. Whatever the phone cost is online or in store is what I will pay for a new phone, but if I wanted to do the upgrade I would have to pay a upgrade fee. Gee why would I do that when I'm not even getting a discount on a phone. Just will go buy it outright. Plus I would have to pay a 15 dollar activation fee. On my line that is already active. Doesn't make any sense does it. Metro my T Mobile needs to get someone in their corporate offices that know what they are doing. I've been a loyal customer but you wouldn't know it by the way they treat me. Extremely disappointed in Metro service anymore. After 2 and a half years of service I'm going to go back to Cricket. I've signed up with Metro PCS on June 11, 2020. A girl at the Greensburg PA shop was extremely nice and I left a positive feedback for her on Google Maps and to her manager. While the girl was nice, the phone and internet services were not that good. I've signed up for the highest $60 plan hoping to use the phone as a hotspot for my tablet as well. I wanted to purchase a hotspot device also, but I've been told by a representative that I would not need it. A week later I started to experience the problems. The phone connection was cracking up, people could not hear me on the other side. Internet was super slow, with constant "time out" and "can't connect you securely" messages. I came to another shop in North Versailles PA and said I would like to purchase a hotspot device to improve my internet connection, they said I did not need it and I walked away with nothing.
But internet was not working for another week again. So I thought I would buy it online since nobody wants to sell it to me. I logged in but they did not sell it online, it says "find a local store". So I called the customer service and she said I should go to a local store. So I did. I came to Monroeville PA location, the store was closed with no signs on the door or anything. Actually the sign on the door was saying "open till 7pm" and it was 1pm. I drove to Penn Hills PA but the store was closed as well and the representative was standing outside smoking. He saw me coming but preferred not to notice me. I was standing at the door writing my review of him on Google Maps while he was standing next to me smoking with his back turned to me. What to do, I came back home, the internet still was really slow, I have missed several job assignments while waiting for the pages to load. My phone was working every other day.
Customer service did not help, 2 associates refused to sell me the device, 2 others just locked their doors. I decided to reach them out through their Facebook page. And, OMG, what I saw there - they do support riotings and mass robberies and vandalism and they are going to pay to those who was participating in those riotings. I absolutely did not want to be a part of it, it made the last point in my relations with this company and so today I am just switching the provider. P.S. It does not even let me to submit this review due to the slow connection. Geesh. I will try again.

If you can avoid Metro PCS I advise you to. They dont tell you one when you pay for their insurance that they cant give you a phone if something happens to yours and you go into the metro store. At least not in VA. They have to mail it to you overnight. That is fine if you have another phone and if you are not in a medical urgent situation which did not matter to them. My choices were to get a phone like mine at full price or buy and upgrade meaning either one was 200 bucks. I asked if I would get any credit for my insurance and the answer was no. I then was told to call customer service who told me all metro was doing for covid and that didnt I have anyone who could help me with my financial situation. Which wasnt the issue I was making.
Then management at customer service said they could give me 25 dollars off my phone bill next month. Well no offense but they were giving discounted rates to many already because of covid. And it still was the fact I had insurance on my phone. I searched for 3 hours and made numerous calls to be switched from metro to t mobile. None of them said they had a number for their head office so you cant even get to the head people And the numbers on line for CEO office are bogus when you do reverse look up. And once they got my name and number they would connect me back to same people because they are covering their **.
They connected me with supposedly corporate here in VA to the store on Campostella in Norfolk. The manager there would not give me head office number. And said if I wrecked a car I couldn't get another car that day and etc. I said yes I could get a rental with my insurance. And when I said all the other phone companies you can go in a get a phone when you have insurance he said they are not every other company. And when I asked why the lady didn't tell me that He said she didn't have to and started yelling at me and hung up the phone. This whole company is bad and t mobile apparently too when you can not get a number to their main office and are mishandled by so many employees. I've caught two workers taking pics of ID's and keeping them in their phone. I told said delete it. I've been going through identity theft. When I find a new company I'm leaving. Plus they did nothing for customers during the pandemic but made sure to cut internet on and off and the phone while it was paid. Not getting what I paid for. I liked Metro but I don't trust it now. Too many scammers all of a sudden calling. That needs investigated especially with identity theft out there and I'm a victim.

I have been using their service for many years before TMobile bought them. They have always had the best deals. My issue is the last sales associate that sold and activated a phone for me sent out a text message from the NEW number to a scam artist without telling me. I thought she was nice so I gave her a great review because she literally begged me to give her a good survey review before walking out of the store. I am sure she received some sort of payment for my information. Ever since then I have been bombarded with scam calls a minimum of 6 calls and 10 texts PER DAY. Not just some random Nigerians, it is a scam operation. I literally communicate with 2 people each week, so these extra calls and texts are annoying. I will probably never use Metro PCS again once I buy my next phone. WARNING: SALES ASSOCIATES IN STORE CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

Phone that I had purchased from Metro PCS about four months ago quit charging so I went in to buy another phone. I asked the representative was the phone I was looking at compatible or it's similar to the one that I have on down to the charger. She said yes and that was a lie. Secondly I paid with a debit card and she said my card was declined so I thought that was a little off however I went and took the money out the bank and came back and paid in cash. Well come to find out my card wasn't declined at all. It actually went through so I told him that they owed me $160 from off the car so now they're telling me that I'm going to have to wait 7 to 10 business days and hopefully it up here back on my card.
As I was leaving the woman looked at me and said, "Are you having a girl or boy?" So I replied, "No I'm just fat." I thought that was really insensitive and harsh for someone to say something like that especially after they've taken an extra $160 from me. I plan on changing to another company as soon as I get my refund.

Called UPS support, called Metro pcs support, neither company wants to take responsibility, blames the other company and expects me to sort it all out on my own.
After 3 days of calling finally got an investigation started but they take 8 buisness days to review. Had to re-order since I didnt want to wait 2 weeks to have a functional phone. Second phone has "unexpected delays" and 2 day shipping is now 6 day shipping asked Metro to investigate and they give me ups phone number and tell me to call them myself. It's been over 2 weeks, I have no phone, no refund and no answers, requested to speak with a manager, haven't gotten any response yet.

Soooooo.... during this pandemic a lot of places agreeing not to disconnect people's service, some cell phone companies are even giving people free months of phone service but not Metro PCS, sad part about it is I didn't even call for free service. I just called to get my payment date changed to 2 or 3 days after my original date that I had to pay because it was my pay day, she told me I would have a fee to pay & if I would have done it right then & there it would have cost me even more than to wait until the actual date it's due. So I said forget it, the day came for my phone bill to be paid the next morning I woke up they had cut my service off so I tried to do the extension they weren't even allowing that & I've never even used my extension before, so I went on paid the bill, once again this month I actually forgot to pay the bill woke up & service was off again, but I paid it.
Point of the matter unlike some places that's caring enough to let people go a month/months without paying a bill or letting people go without service interruptions because metro pcs only cares about money. Seeing what people are going through fortunately I'm able to pay my bill but what about the ones who can't. The ones still waiting on their stimulus check, the ones still waiting on unemployment to kick in. The people are completely selfish & heartless.

So I just got off the phone with Metro PCS's customer service. I called because I have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and there have been word going around that Metro PCS was helping their customers in this time by giving them credit/extension for up to 2 months. My mother received the credit for two months and she has metro PCS. I didn't think I would need this help because at the time I was an essential worker so I was just paying my own bill. But now, I am pissed because the moment I call to ask about it, they want to lie and say they never did it when I know more than one person that received credit/an extension for their phone bill with metro.
When I spoke to the customer service agent she tried to lie and say they never did such a thing and tried to redirect the conversation to another alternative. I would have went with one of those if I actually had that type of money to in this current moment. Then I asked to speak to a supervisor and just told her to not lie and be upfront with me. So she finally did, but when she started speaking about all of the fees and charges to change my due date which seems different than before because when I changed my due date in the store the fee to change it didn't go by days, it was a flat rate and I didn't have to pay the fee first just in order to change it, I paid it all on my new due date. So I am OFFICIALLY DONE with metro PCS.
I've had many problems with them in the past like being double charged or having multiple phone issues (which I shouldn't have because I take great care of my phones and I am very tech savvy so I know how to work with technology), but this was the icing on the cake. We are all struggling in this COVID-19 time, why give your loyal customers such a hard time and try to lie and push bogus deals on them like it's actually helping them? I would not EVER recommend them to anyone else ever again.

Well the process was kinda slow with having to submit my driver's license. I believe either 3 or 4 times cause the phone that I used while I was submitting my claim didn't take clear enough pictures for one and I'd get closer to my license and take another picture then you said it didn't have all my sku (I believe you called it) bars was all in the picture, then the front didn't show my information clearly, after (what I thought was to many retakes) I had to go borrow a phone just for pictures, to send again. My fiancee and myself both could clearly see everything on both sides of license. You said the corner was cutoff (not showing) which that's how I got my license from the DMV and the sky bars were cut off short by the DMV (not me).
I finally got them accepted luckily, but originally when I sent them the reply was everything was accepted, then a week or so I get an email asking me to send them over. Apparently they weren't accepted after I was told that they were, that's when they weren't clear enough or cut off or not showing everything, it seemed like just one thing after another. It took way too long to get my replacement phone and without anyone telling me that there would be other charges added before I could get an ok, that's when I got upset and told the receptionist that I was not informed beforehand and after wait for some time following your directions I was not going to pay anymore after being told it would only cost $50.
Before I even submitted my claim I was sure to ask questions before I started, and this phone just shuts off on its own, almost every time I start to call someone, or look some information up on the internet using Google and even Yahoo, so I tried iCloud and it still just shuts off. My electric went out night before last cause of wind and tree limbs, I tried to call my electric company and it shut off 3 or 4 times in a row, so I finally used a cheap AT&T phone and it dialed out with no problem. So the whole process was really waste of my time and yours cause this phone is a piece of junk.
I'm gonna see if Metro PCS will do something about it or trade for a different one, I just know that the phone that got stolen had a totally different number assigned to it than the number I was given. I looked in the settings and the number there was someone else's all together. My number was **. But the number in (about) phone was **. All my text and messages my information, etc. was being sent to this other person's phone apparently, I sure wasn't happy with that phone and it caused me way too much trouble and money. I had drive many places and contact even more companies to close bank accounts, I'm on disability so I had to get a new card for that, and I'm sure whoever that number belong to was getting my passwords, I'll probably never get another phone from metro pcs, this is my 3rd phone I bought from them. They knew these phones was junk when they sold it to me. I kinda glad it was stolen along with my old one also.
I've done some research on these Alcatel phones and found out from a phone technician that this make of phone has a virus embedded so deep internally that even virus, malware's, and all other removal items can't even remove it. I'm sure metro also knew this fact when they sold it to me and other victims. And this replacement phone shuts off all the time by itself, especially when I really need to call someone. So your return policy needs to be revised and updated really badly.
I'm gonna be posting everything I know about this type of phone and how metro pcs takes advantage of people that aren't knowledgeable about phone's, my last phone I bought from them wouldn't even updated the same day I received it and I took it back to them 3 weeks later and they told me it was too old to update, so they had to know that information before they sold these Alcatel phones to the public, very unhappy with metro pcs, I'm gonna make sure everyone I know Will be informed about this type of phone and how metro pcs takes advantage of everyone that relies on them to being knowledgeable about their products. If you had to replace this type of phone you should inform people about the phone, not just replace this phone with another piece of junk, get an option to replace with a Samsung or iPhone or anything but this junk.
I'm sure hoping that whoever stole my phones can use them anymore to hack into my information. I even had protection on them so no one could get my information. These China made junk phones should be removed from service. Yes you could do a lot better job replacing them with a good dependable phone at least one that works when it's really needed. At the same price. I also found a name that was associated with that number in the about phone I'm sending it also. I also found a picture that was associated with sending me uninvited remarks and emails and that name was Jacky **.

Went January 31st and got two phones and service plans and got a great deal. Was quite satisfied with the employees, who were easygoing and helpful and patient even with my children running around. The problem arose when I realized that the phone I had gotten, one I had thought was going to be awesome, is anything but. It lags. It's glitchy. It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to move any apps to an SD card, which makes the 32gb of internal storage fill up quickly, especially if you don't pay attention and make sure your photos and stuff save to external storage. And I reviewed the policy for returns and called 611 and was told that there should be no problem exchanging the phone for another one at the location I got one from originally, ESPECIALLY since it was also a repair and warranty center.
So I called the location this morning and was told that I could call back at 3:30 this afternoon and talk to the manager, but they were almost certain that they wouldn't be able to help me. I still have the receipts, the accessories, and am only missing the box, but Customer Care said no problem and the local retailer acted like there isn't a lengthy policy online just for situations like mine. So I guess I'm stuck with a disappointment of a phone, paying for a plan I'll barely use. Starting to wish I had just gone somewhere else for service altogether. Also, currently my service is suspended because we were told it was two lines for $60, and our bill is $100.

My experience with this company is terrible. The young lady that helped me 5 days ago was horrible. She didn't explain the service correctly and I simply told her I use my hotspot for my firestick because I don't have cable and she stated, "That's great. We have an awesome hotspot you can use." She never stated after your 15 run out you gotta pay $5 each time your hotspot runs out. That has pissed me off too the top. If you're gonna explain something make sure it's the whole ordeal.
I'm not a very happy customer. If I had known this about the hotspot I would have never switched because I never had this issue and another thing the young lady told me I had 30 days if something happens to this phone before using my insurance. So now my screen is shattered. Glass is all in my fingers for touching this phone and all she said was, "It's nothing I can do for you." I'M NOT AN HAPPY CUSTOMER AND MY SERVICE WILL BE ENDED. Omg! I went to the Metro PCS place of business located 6805 North 19th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona 85015 on March 8th to get my cellphone serviced and there was only one worker in there. For over an hour, waiting to receive service while this "young lady", was chatting away on her cellphone, using very bad language and to top it off, I had to listen to "filthy rap music" while I wait to get my cellphone serviced. Finally, I couldn't take it any longer. I left, customers service is very much lacking at this location. A lot of people don't want to wait for over an hour and listen to cuss words from the worker and blasting the same on her radio. I will be finding another cellphone company to transfer to that has a better cellphone and better customer service personnel. This grandmother doesn't like to hear profanity nor pay for lousy commercial filled service.

I switched to Metro because it had a lower priced family plan than the provider I'd been with for 10 years.. What a mistake that was. Over 4 months I had 2 different phones, both of which failed due to faulty charging ports. On numerous occasions I couldn't connect when on the road, which was very frustrating when I was trying to get directions. The staff at the shop I went to were nice enough, but clearly hadn't had much training. When the first phone stopped charging after 6 weeks, I went to the store and the employee told me I could get a free replacement.
When I went (3 days later!) to pick it up, a different employee told me I'd have to pay for it because the warranty period had expired. He confirmed that by phone with his supervisor. It took my talking to the supervisor to convince him that replacing free of charge was the right thing to do. When the second phone had the same connectivity issues and then stopped charging like the first one had, I switched back to my tried and true (and now equally affordable) provider. What a hassle that all was.

I was with Metro PCS/TMobile for approx. 2 years. I had the $50 monthly plan for unlimited data, phone calls and texts. The data was not actually "Unlimited;" because: (1) toward the end of every month - no matter how much or how little data I used - the data always slowed down. A text message from Metro-PCS would appear on a given date and indicate or inform me that my internet connections, etc., would slow down automatically, because I used up "X" amount of data before that date and time. Again, although I would have used only a few gigabytes of data, not even approaching "Unlimited." (2) The in-store customer service people could not/would not help me with problem resolution - except one office near the midtown Manhattan, NYC area.
(3) The "Customer service headquarters" for New York city is located in Harlem, on 125th Street. Any and all physical-technical matters/issues, i.e., those dealing with cellphone repair, etc., have to be taken care of/addressed at that store and that store only. That is a tremendously inefficient way to do business for all of New York City- in that, a person must travel for 1 hour or more on the subway to get to Harlem, New York, to have their phone fixed or looked at, examined, etc. (4) No customer service personnel would unlock my Metro-PCS phone after I had purchased it, owned it. Thus, I lost money when my phone could have been unlocked and taken my phone to another phone service and used it on a different, i.e., other-than Metro-PCS/TMobile carrier.

However if your bill is due on the 1st but you pay late, not only is service shut off they still start the cycle on the due date. So you aren't getting your full 30 days of service, cause say you pay 3 weeks late it will still be due in a week. I myself drove 40 minutes to one and spend about 2 hours porting over my phone number and phone and adding a new line for my kid. He was able to get a free phone with a value of $200. Hey there. I used to be a Metro PCS fan for years because they had the best deals hands down and during hard times when bill due you could get 2 or 3 extensions. But back Sept I purchased metro like I always love metro. But in November I moved onto like country area and my service didn't work unless I was on wifi or my friends hotspot unless I was heading to the city with my friends whenever they stopped by. So month go by. Auto pay successful. Exactly a week before Thanksgiving 2019 30 days of service. 1gb only used. 60 dollars. Around December 10 called. Told them the situation. No service at my home, only wifi maybe once a week. When headed to the city I get a service but they said they were going to investigate so another successful auto pay. 2.1 GB. 30days. No calls. I don't talk so that 120 dollars. 3.1 GB. 2 months still no contact for investigation so I decided screw them.
I'm going go to another company and just use this phone I purchased in September. So I call customer service. So they say I been a great customer. Would everything to keep customers happy. So how can they help me. Gave her my info so I asked can I get my phone unlock. "Yes Mr. Have your phone unlocked right away." Then, "Oh your phone ain't eligible to be unlocked." Say it's not a leased phone. So in my mind I'm thinking when they start locking phone you paid $359 for with cash. No credit check so that's my phone. But since I terminated my service in 97 days and basically 60 days wasted 120 dollars with metro pcs. But 3.1 gb 60days. "But I understand you sir. But you can get unlock." "How mam?" "Just reactivate your service for 83 more days and it'll be unlocked." That right. Made me MAD AS HELL because I told her the situation and looked up the notes so confirms me she gets it.
Basically screw you and pay us 180 more and 87 days of useless service and wasted money. Then she says something about their policy so for unlock so I tell her about they say that they have good service but I don't thinks that fair. They wont unlock person phone especially when my time with them wasn't a great experience but they lost a good customer. I rather deal with a contract with deposits than treated like **. After using the service for a month I was not satisfied with the coverage areas it provided for my area. I went to switch phone service to another company and was told the phone had been locked to MetroPCS. I called their customer service and was told that I would have to wait 180 days for the phone to be unlocked again. Again, this is a phone that I purchased unlocked directly from Apple not through MetroPCS. Even after speaking with a supervisor, asking for Customer Relations, etc. they still would not unlock phone. So I waited. 180 days was up 2 weeks ago. My phone is still not unlocked.
I've contacted Metro at least half a dozen times and keep being told a couple of different things: 1. the phone will unlock itself. 2. They've put in an unlock request ticket to Apple. I'm currently waiting 72 hours for the second time to have unlock request processed. Basically, I have had a $1000 paperweight for the past 6 months because of a wholly predatory company policy. I completely understand that if the phone were purchased at a discount or through a deal with MetroPCS they of course expect you to use their service so they can make a profit. However, how dare they force me to use their sub-par network (T-Mobile, I know) on a device I own free and clear. I have refused to reactivate it on MetroPCS or even T-Mobile because guess what? It will start the 180 day policy over again. I am seriously considering legal action because this seems to be an unfair punitive action for consumers. C. **

Here’s why I recommend avoiding Metro: The connectivity was good until, ironically (since the name is “Metro”), I tried to search for a phone number in a mid-size town. After multiple tries to get on the net I finally gave up. It was eternal buffering! Obviously, the T-mobile customers had priority on a totally jammed network. This wasn’t going to work.
Despite being told I had 7 days to try their service, they refused to give me a refund at the store and suggested I call the customer service number. The rep on the line told me flat out that a refund was not possible even though I was still within the 7 day trial period. The worst was yet to come! When I decided to just cut my losses and go with one of the major carriers I was told that Metro refused to port over my existing phone number - a number I had had for over 20 years.
Somehow Metro was unique among all the wireless companies in refusing to port the phone number I brought with me. This was a major bummer ... I had my long term number on many, many Rolodexes and cell phones and had to try to contact all of their owners with my new number. Which, not having any other choice, I did. Walking into that Metro store is a major regret, and I recommend you avoid following my example.
