I bought a total of 5 phones from Metro PCS and the promotion was 50 dollars if you transfer from one phone company to their company so I did. He charged me 50 dollars twice when it was advertise that transfer 2 lines for a fifty dollars he charged me 100 dollars so the next month I came cause I didn't like the first phone I got and brought another phone. The phone kept going to the Metro PCS's screen and staying there so I came in to get another phone. After calling Metro PCS they told him to give me another phone so he did after telling me I got to pay my bill there to get good service. So I came back and said this phone not working either the fingerprint thing not working to charge it it kept buzzing. So I brought the phone back. He told me that I didn't pay my bill here no phone. So I was forced to keep the phone.
After calling metro customer service for 2 months the phone finally as I tried to charge it it gotten so hot and the wires smell like it was burning with a little smoke coming from the phone it was so hot it burn my hand. So I call metro they encourage me to get with a different phone company like AT&T and told me that they wanted to help me get there faster by putting my code on some on my account. So I call ZTE phone manufacturer and they told me metro was supposed to give me another phone 'cause they told metro they don't honor warranties from them. They have to replace the phone and metro keep hanging the phone in my face. They even hung the phone in zte and my face after calling for me. Every time I call they say they going to help but never do so. They hang the phone in my face or leave me on hold.
ZTE ask me to get the guy agent number so they can report him. He will not give it to me so I fell ** used beat out if my money and time cause me mental distress and I need further help to get my money for the service that's not being used. They are a bogus company that takes advantage of their customers. ZTE said they tell all the customers that to call zte not them.
Don't go to metro you will be sorry and if you don't pay your bill at this particular store at 4800 w. Fulton Chicago Illinois 60644 he will tell you to leave his store and there is nothing he can do for you when metro suppose to replace this phone. Now I'm going to call the police to get his ID customer ID so I can get the ID number so I can at least have it documented. Please I'm telling you if you don't want to get treated like this like my self and other customers don't go to Metro PCS. Cricket give you better service with their phones.
Oh yeah 1 more thing he also told me when I was trying to get me another phone that he could of got me in trouble for what I pay my bill and this service is prepaid. I've never stolen nothing at the store or got on the computer and hacked none of their data and Every time we had a bill due it will always text me and say my next bill is 399 dollars and 53 cents and so on every month and he tell me, "Don't worry I will get you good deal of what the service is," to get me to pay in person. Never had a store to threaten me this way and customer service condone this. And lastly they have rotten business. They need to be shut down. Is this illegal or what? I need to know so I can get someone to help me please. O yeah lastly he sold my daughter a broke iPhone for 150 dollars and told me he don't know what I'm talking about. This is a disgrace

I went to the Metro PCS on Crowder Blvd in New Orleans, LA to pay my cell phone bill at 7:45-7:50pm and they said they're closed. I couldn't pay my bill online. I have credit card issues but to be closed 10-15 mins early is very bad for business.

I left Boost Mobile and went with MetroPCS. The day I went into the store 11/30 2017 I waited approximately 2 hours to be waited on. I was waited on by a guy named Moe. I got the unlimited plan and a new phone. After I was all connected Moe handed me a headset and said to me, "Here this is for waiting". I said to him, "You don't have to do that but thank you," got my receipt and went home. On December 29th 2017 they shut off my phone because I didn't pay. My bill used to be that it went from the 30th to the 30th because that's why I go down and sign up on the 30th because that's what I pay my bill on the 30th!!! So I got my receipt and when I looked at my receipt I noticed that Moe I charge me $21.21 for the headset that he supposedly gave to me for free. I was Furious. I went down to MetroPCS and of course Moe wasn't there.
I explained the situation to the girl that was there and she told me that the headset was part of a bundle. I told her that I only use Bluetooth first of all which this headset wasn't and secondly if I had known that the headset was part of the bundle I told her that I only use Bluetooth first of all which this headset wasn't and secondly if I had known that the headset was part of the bundle I would have went back to Boost Mobile because I don't want a headset and I don't want to pay for a headset at $21.20 and when I explained to her that she shut the phone off early she told me that it goes from the 30th to the 29th so I'm wrong. So I went to Walmart to pick up Straight Talk for the phone. The new phone that I've gotten from it Metro when I put Straight Talk into the phone it activated to Straight Talk at $65 but the phone was locked because of MetroPCS the phone was locked internally.
I called MetroPCS and they told me that they would not unlock the phone because I needed to have the phone for 3 months before they can unlock it but of course this was a no contract plan and yet MetroPCS was holding me hostage for 3 months before they would unlock my phone. So now I have a phone that's not on, I have a $65 Straight Talk plan that I can't use but it's activated and Walmart refuses to take it back because it's activated. Never even left Walmart and they refuse to honor my return.
I was Furious. I went back to another Metro PCS store and I paid my bill $53. Now I'm at $110. My phone is turned back on and I swear to God on my life nothing on my phone works. My navigation keys don't work. I can't download apps any longer. I can't get to my flashlight because the pull-down screen no longer works so now I have a phone a Blaze LTE Z phone that does not work after only one month and I'm still with MetroPCS even though there's no contract. I really believe that the Attorney General should take heed to MetroPCS.

Recently bought a phone for my wife at MetroPCS. We were told it was "no contract", which is an outright lie. When we got to our home we discovered that MetroPCS service is so poor that she cannot use the internet at all and that phone calls are missed, or dropped, or have very poor quality. We tried to switch to another carrier, but MetroPCS locks the phones that they sell to prevent you from doing so.
I called MetroPCS "customer support" (now, there's a misnomer if I ever heard one!) and they flat-out refused to unlock the phone until after we pay for 3 months of service. I explained to her that requiring me to pay for 3 months of service is, in fact, a de facto contract, so it is unethical and illegal to advertise their products and services as "no contract". I asked her why we should have to pay for a service that MetroPCS is failing to provide. I asked her repeatedly to explain why they lock their phones in the first place, but she would not answer the question. She then lied to me at least three times, e.g. that Verizon requires contracts - not true, that Verizon locks their phones too - not true, etc.
The bottom line is: MetroPCS does not stand behind the services that they promise to provide, and their services are of very poor quality. Their marketing is dishonest. Their customer service is dishonest. And because of this, my wife is stuck with a completely useless, brand new phone. Does anyone think that it is right that I should be coerced into paying for a service that MetroPCS is failing to provide? If I paid for cable TV and got no signal, I would get a refund. MetroPCS will give you absolutely zero if they fail to provide the services promised, and, quite incredibly, they will deny you the use of your own personal property (i.e. the phone that you bought) if you are unhappy about not getting the services that you paid for. How they are not facing a class action lawsuit is beyond me!

Jan 3, 2018, I was on Metro PCS website attempting to pay bill but webpage was down. After several attempts, I even tried several times to use automative pay, which was also saying that it was a default in my card. So I called my bank and as I knew, there was over enough money to pay for this bill. I attempted to call my #611 services to speak to a representative (No long wait✋) so I thought I was going to be assisted pretty quick being that it is 11:20 and my bill was due by 12 midnight. So rep comes on and asks for phone number and name (NOTHING) my account number (NOTHING). Rep continues to ask, "would MY account be under someone else's name". Huh? No, I personally walked into Metro PCS Dec 4, 2017 switched services (have the yellow contract in front of me from Metro PCS) over under the assumption that you all were the best of the best and now you can't find me in your system.
I even asked, "Is it something wrong with y'all systems because of the other attempts I have tried." Rep replies "No. Are you sure you didn't use another name". So of course I'm getting super??? mad. So I ask for another rep, I never received one. So I hung up! Attempted another #611 call around 11:37 p.m. (keep in mind, bill due at 12) gave this rep the same scenario. She asked the same questions ???. Oh her name was Jen! Jen places me on 2 holds and it's now 11:47. Jen returns to the phone at 11:52 and says we was running out time before 12 and that I should go to my local store and see if they can resolve issue. Huh? So see where my frustration comes in... ooopppsss! WAIT. We are are in the middle of a snowstorm, I live about 8 miles from store, I have 2 babies and this is an inconvenience to me when Metro PCS claims to have the best service.
After the many attempts that I tried to pay on their non working website (which I have screenshots) and number of tries on automative service and the fail times to speak with a rep and saying they have nothing in their system that match my phone number or name or account number. I have received texts from this company in reference to pay a bill but you saying you have nothing in your system. I can see if I didn't have proof but I have the contract right in front of me. So know by the grace of God I have phone usage because I have wifi in the home but what if I didn't? When I attempted to pay a bill. I really don't care how last minute it was to pay because my due date said 12 midnight at 1/4/18. So I could have attempted to start this process at 11:55p.m. and this still would be in Metro PCS.
Due to lack of system failure or the reps who put me in at the store in Roanoke Rapids, NC did not do their job. Which may be the case because my services there was poor and I was there over 1:30 just switching a service and getting a new service line (meaning I have 2 lines). So yes I'm very dissatisfied with all of Metro PCS and someone need to fix the issue fast and I don't intend to go out in bad weather and resolve this issue. So what are you going to do Metro PCS?

Extremely rude staff!! Rude Rude Rude. The girl that sold them the phone was so rude to my sister and mother, gave her such hard time to return a Phone! They refuse to give them a refund. Didn’t explain anything correctly to my dad and took advantage of him since he doesn’t speak English and is an older man. I did file a complain against them with customer service. She claims she has the camera to proof that she did explain everything to my dad, but I know people that work at Metro and the cameras don’t record audio so that has me thinking lol!
One girl even told my sister “well didn’t you see the phone before you got it?” So rude! Our family will no longer go to that Metro PCS store! Thanks to that rude staff at Romy's Unlimited 2400 Saviers Rd Oxnard ca 93033! They make the Metro PCS company look bad! Never again will I go there! Worst Service - Nightmare on Elm Street Freddie Kruger Style - We received 2 free LG Aristo phones at Metro PCS with $30 plans. NEVER ONCE were we able to use this service as a phone, incoming or outgoing calls. The main messages received on phone are: Emergency Calls Only, Network Not Available, Cannot Connect to Network, no dial tone, like a dead phone, not even minimum service. Basically, we paid to not have a phone. We are returning the free phones, which they should pay us to keep them, canceling service, try to get a refund and returning to Verizon which is expensive for us but it works. We will eat less to afford Verizon.

I went into the Metro PCS authorized dealer store at 2533 S. Jefferson Ave, St. Louis, MO 63104, on 12/20/17 (which was also my birthday and my purchase was a birthday gift to myself) to purchase an Apt-x S 900 headset. While making the purchase the clerk tried three different headsets because I wanted to verify that the headset would pair correctly with my phone. Anyway, I got the headset home and charged it overnight, and the charge indicator showed blue, verifying a full charge.
I got to work the next day, listening to my audiobooks using my new headset and after 1-1/2 hours I heard the message stating the "battery low, please charge now". I could not understand. I took it home and tried the charging method again and got the same results the following day. I attempted to return the headset and was told all sales are final on accessories. Mind you the headset cost $35 + tax. That's not a drop in the bucket for me because I have a very tight budget. I called the customer service number to try to get some assistance with the matter and was given the runaround. No assistance resolving the matter At All.
I went back to the store and spoke with the manager, who was not very customer friendly. She DID give me another headset, but while I was in the store making the exchange the employee representative who originally assisted me interfered in the conversation with some very rude comments and was very disrespectful. I told her I was not speaking to her and that I was speaking with her manager. She continued to speak very rudely and I responded to the manager stating that she was not a good manager to stand there and allow her employee to speak to a customer in that manner. I left the store and... I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. I would also like to say I will be changing carriers as soon as I'm able.

I actually prefer to give zero stars. I have been a patient Metro PCS client for 5 years hoping the service improves because of the rate compared to others but I have come to the end of my rope. In a matter of 2 years I've had to purchase 4 YES four phones because there is always something wrong with them. When you go to the place of purchase they provide no help and forget about calling customer service. I have come to the conclusion that the phones sold to their customers are REFURBISHED. I don't see how they will continue business with other companies competing with the same rates. I will be cancelling my 4 lines this week. I can't take it anymore, I have run out of patience.

For the last 2 months there has been a problem with making my payment. My saved payment method on myMetro keeps getting deleted. Then when I try to re-enter my debit card number, Metro PCS system says "card not valid". Numerous "tickets" have been created to resolve the problem, but the problem still exists. On 12-21-17, I called Metro PCS to inform them that their system was not accepting my payment again this month. I was on the phone with ** for over 30 minutes trying to explain that this happened in November and what that CSR did. I was placed on hold so the CSR could start a "ticket"and then got disconnect. No one from Metro even tried to contact me after they hung up on me.
So on 12-22-17 I called Metro PCS again. This time I spoke with **, who assured me that she could help me. She said that my card was blocked and that she needed to generate a "ticket". My payment date is the 22nd of the month so the CSR moved my payment date forward 3 days to keep my phone services on. I was instructed to make my payment on 12-26-17 after the issue is resolved.
Today 12-26-17 I went to myMetro app on my phone and was still unable to make a payment using my debit card. I contacted my credit union (Members First Credit Union), they informed me that there is an issue between MFCU and Metro PCS payment systems, and that I should contact a Metro PCS supervisor because they would be aware of the system issues.
I have been on the phone with a total of 3 different people from Metro PCS today, for the last hour. No one was aware of any problems with my credit union, but they were not even in the United States. I asked if I could be transferred to an office in the US to see if maybe they were aware of the issues. CSR ** told me that they were not able to transfer me anywhere else, and that they used a 3rd party to process payments. Therefore they had no way of contacting the 3rd party or even getting a message to them above my card issue. Another "ticket" was created today. It seems that the past tickets were not actually generated. Now my phone service will be turned off tomorrow. The only option I was given by CSR **, is after my service is disrupted... call *611 from my cell phone and apply for "temporary service" until the issue is resolved.
On top of all this, if I want to move my due date back to my original date (22nd) I will be charged $5.00! It is extremely frustrating that when you call customer service, you get no service. Anytime you try to contact Metro PCS you are transferred off-shore to a representative that does not speak or understand English well. Information is not being relayed from one customer service site to another. There is no easy way to lodge a complaint.

Initially a fairly good service. As time progressed from exactly one year ago, service became worse. My husband received all types of weird phone calls and so did I. It was a threat to our marriage. USED numbers recycled from obvious prostitutes---ill reputes! Just around Christmas we both began having problems technically. I am not stupid and almost certain it is a ploy to get customers to second guess their phones and think... OH I NEED A NEW PHONE FOR CHRISTMAS! GIMMICK, FRAUD, AND A PLOY! His ringer would jump from being on to being off "automatically" as we both sat and watched it happen by someone internal. NO DOUBT!
My phone will no longer send my photos from my phone to my Yahoo account. It is a hoax! METRO basically confiscated my photos, and I cannot retrieve them. I was able to up until about two months ago. Nothing changed on my end. A month later a photo would arrive in my email. WHAT A ** FRUSTRATING JOKE THIS IS! The service sucks to hell! It is the worse service, has caused great stress in my family to the point of emotional distress plus it is against the law not to release our Christmas photos??? "FRAUD", by the way! The network is slow. No one calls me because they say I sound like I am calling from a well with an echo! OUR GOOD MONEY IS GOING ON A ** SERVICE! I've been with Metro PCS for countless years. Paid the payments on time. Six hundred dollars a year. I would expect to get some kind of customer care. Yet no. The retailer on Fletcher Ave Tampa FL saw me as a way to make some extra money. So they sold me a refurbished phone that burned my ear every time I talked. So after finding my own phone, I tried to take back the phone they be sold me. They told me even though I returned the phone the night after I bought, not even 12 hrs old, they have an hour of talk time policy. I apparently went one min over time. Are you kidding me... One minute. After five years of paying on time, say goodbye to six hundred dollars a week year.

The service is ok but don't ever try to use your insurance because they don't want to honor it. My phone still was under warranty and the warranty company said they no longer mail out a replacement phone that I was supposed to be able to get a phone directly from the store and Metro said that was not true so basically the warranty company and Metro were arguing over the phone about who was supposed to replace the phone. It was very unprofessional the way it was handled. So I had to end up buying another phone and the manager at the store waived the $15 fee to activate the new phone because she felt sorry for the way I was treated.
So I paid $108 and I felt that Metro should reimburse my money for that but they wouldn't so I complained to the BBB about them and then Metro lied and said that I didn't have insurance so I proved that I did have insurance because I pay $6 a month for it. And then they tried to say I went to another store and did the warranty claim and that I never showed up to pick it up and that the phone I have now is a loaner phone??? I'm like, "Ok ya'll let customers keep loaner phones." SMH just lies. So basically I'm out of $108 that I shouldn't have had to pay. The insurance said I couldn't do a claim because it was a warranty claim and the warranty company said I should be able to get a phone in the store because they no longer send replacement phones in the mail. So what is a customer supposed to do?

Then was told by the seller at the Metro PCS explained I could use Wi-Fi calling and I figured why not? I'm hardly ever home because I work outta town where my new phone would have service. Well she set me up a number and when I got home, the WiFi calling was on but didn't work. I tried everything and I have a number set up and everything but still, no go. So, I feel like I was kind to. I set up a WiFi calling app that did work but that's not the point. I should be able to use the WiFi calling she set up but it doesn't work.
Now, I'm stuck for 3 months and I wish I never did it. I was also told they were putting 6 more towers up in Jan but she didn't know where. So, I have to wait and see, hopefully I'll get service soon. I would not recommend Metro PCS to anyone. They do not have enough towers to cover most areas unless you live in a city or a big town. I'm not too far from service when I'm working so it will be okay for now. I plan on switching in 3 months. Plus their commercial seems like false advertising to me. It says, "wireless figured out", if that were true, I'd have service or at least the WiFi calling they offered. Bad business if you ask me.

On November 22, my husband decided to take me to Metro to buy a new phone. I had picked the iPhone 6 plus because it was a good price, we only paid 450 and the phone had 64 gb. After a few days I started experiencing glitches and had called the Metro store we purchased it from to see if this was a refurbished phone. After 20 minutes of the girl telling me it was a brand new phone I thought everything was in my head.
Fast forward to December 20th when the phone just completely breaks. I mean black screen and not charging. On December 21, which is today I go to the Metro store for the owner to tell me it was too long for me to return the phone but had told me to go to the Apple Store because they have one year warranties. After waiting period hours at the Apple store, the employee at Apple Store told me that my iPhone had been fake. The Apple logo was a sticker. The parts inside the phone were third party. The screen was raised and was not an Apple screen.
When they looked the phone's number up, it had been sold in 2014 in a BEST BUY! Imagine embarrassment... Not only had I felt stupid but I was pissed. I went back to the Metro phone with a letter from Apple stating my phone was fake. The owner wouldn't even come to the store until I went home to get the box that came with the phone. I go home, rip my house apart and find the box finally. I get back to the store, and the owner comes in. I tell him I was, younger refund and attempt to show him my proof. This guy looked me right in the face and told me that he wasn't going to give me a refund, he was going to send the phone to his manufacturer and make sure there wasn't water damage. Only after he would allow me to pick a new phone.
I had been there 2 hours fighting with this person before I finally gave up. I got home and decided to call Metro. The guy I spoke to was super helpful telling me to go back to the Metro store. He had said I spent 450 dollars and that guy had to give me a real iPhone. I go to the store but this time I brought my husband because I wasn't going to let this guy disrespect me any longer. I go in and the guy tells me the same thing as before. I had then said I was going to call Metro again and he changed his attitude. He refunded me the money. Before I left it asked him if he even felt bad. He looked at me and laughed saying 450 wasn't anything to him. I said "You're selling these fake iPhones to everyone." He turned and smiled...

Could I actually give "NO STARS"?? New contract and new phone purchased but the phone turned out to be a stolen phone. Store had to be forced to replace the stolen phone and gave me a refurbished phone that had been hacked instead of a new one. No help from Metro PCS corporate people, no help from T-Mobile. Finally spoke to a representative in the Philippines that said he was just sure if I would take the phone back to the store that sold it they would be happy to give me a new one. Really?? Stated no harm had been done from information obtained by hacked phone, not sure how he would know that but anytime personal, private information is fraudulently obtained it's a problem! But, he went on to say they actually have nothing to do with the individual stores so there was nothing he could help with anyway. How could customer service be that bad for any company? It's ridiculous. They are a disgrace.

The phone I have used for several years was with another company when it died. This happened during evacuation of Hurricane Irma. I had no choice but to get another phone fast. I went to a Metro PCS store in Foley, Alabama. The service personnel was very pleasant. I chose a phone and my service worked fine. Several days later I returned home. Fortunately for me I had no damage to my home. However I was surprised to find that my new phone would not make calls. I checked with Metro PCS and several hours later they determined that damage to some of their towers disrupted service. That is fair enough but I found out later the towers I use were NOT affected. Their coverage map shows TOP service where I live. So I call them back 10 days later to resolve the problem.
Well to make a LONG story short, I found that my home in is a dead zone. The coverage map does not show this but shows excellent service. Yes, my subdivision is a dead zone but all around it service is excellent. So I know my phone could be unlocked and I would go to another carrier. I waited out the 90 days and unlocked the phone. Now the frustration begins. Metro PCS does NOT have live phone service. Everything is automated. They would NOT release my phone number and I could NOT talk to Metro PCS about this. Very Frustrating. It is now two days and NO service and NO transfer to another carrier because Metro PCS does not release MY phone number. Stay away from this company. GO to another and save yourself frustration.

I went to Metro PCS located at 4205 Curry Ford Rd. Orlando, FL 32806 yesterday, December 4, 2017 at approximately 4:13 pm. The purpose for my visit was because I've had my phone for almost 3 yrs now and I don't have enough storage space and therefore, I'm unable to update any current apps or download any new ones. So I went in to see what my options were. In addition to my phone, I wanted to inquire about getting my sons phone fixed as well because only one side of the screen was working. When I walked in I was greeted by **. She asked me if I was making a payment and I said no and then I proceeded to tell her why I was there. She said to let her finish helping another customer and then she would help me. I didn't know she was still in the middle of helping someone because she asked me about the payment.
I waited while she finished helping the gentleman and then she helped one other gentleman before she attended to me. I explained to her the issue I was having with my phone and she suggested for me to buy a memory card. After I made my purchase and she installed it into my phone, I tried to update an app and it worked fine. However, for whatever reason, ALL of the pictures I took with my camera were gone! If it wasn't a picture that was downloaded or on my social media, it was completely wiped out! Unfortunately, none of these pictures were backed up on my google account. (I learned my lesson!!) The worst part about all of this was that there were a lot of pictures of my late husband on my phone and now they're gone forever! When I discovered this, my heart sank! I felt like I had been stabbed in the chest! If I would've known that was going to happen, I would've just bought a new phone.
Now a lot of good and precious memories are gone forever due to ** negligence! Another lady that was working there, (I apologize I didn't get her name.) She was a young girl maybe 20-25, long black hair and brown eyes, 5'0-5'5" attempted to help me but after being there for over an hour we still didn't get anywhere. I had to leave and pick up my children from school. The longer I was there the more upset I became. My face was hot and covered in tears because I was completely devastated! The lady told me that I could come back later because they close at 7 pm. I didn't think it was a good idea. I was way too upset!!
I did go back today, December 5, 2017 at approximately 6:45 pm. In the midst of all the destruction of my memories, I never got a chance to get my son a new phone. When I went back in today, ** was there but I steered clear of her! A gentleman by the name of ** helped me. He was working yesterday when I was there but he didn't help me so he didn't know what the full story was. I told him what happened and he was extremely apologetic and empathized with me. Something similar happened to him so he knew how heartbreaking it felt to go through that. He attempted to help me as well for almost an hour to no avail. By this time the store was already closed. He offered to do some research and see if there's any way I can get my pictures back. I gave him my cell phone number and he said he will be in touch.
I bought my son a new phone but prior to doing so, ** asked me for my password like I would imagine they do with all the customers but for some reason it was coming up as invalid. I showed him my ID so that he would see that is in fact my password (dob). Then I realized that it's my son's phone and its under his password, not mine. So what, right? Wrong! When I provided the same exact information to ** yesterday (my password, not my son's, 2 different accounts and not linked in any way) she never bothered to tell me that I had given her the wrong information! That's proof right there that she's incompetent at her job! What if I had stolen that phone? My son has had his phone for almost a year so this was the first time that they asked me for the password so I completely forgot that it was under his information instead of mine.
It's easy to forget something if you haven't used it in almost a year! But to make me think that I'm using the right information shows me a lot about ** character. She's dishonest, lacks integrity and had absolutely no remorse for the mistake that she made! She never even bothered to apologize! Would it have resolved the issue? No! But when you make a mistake you should at least say you're sorry!! My husband is gone and those pictures were a part of our beautiful memories that I can never get back nor replace!! I hope nobody else has to ever go through this! I would've just bought a new phone! It's not worth the aggravation! I felt like I had to bury my husband all over again!!
If you live in or are planning on visiting the Orlando area and you happen to stop by this location, stay away from **! Unless you like having your memories shattered! Go to **. He is a great guy! Thank you for taking the time to read this and be sure to hug and kiss your loved ones everyday and tell them you love them everyday! Even if they're being a pain in the neck love them anyway! Life is too short and it's extremely precious! Don't let what happened to me happen to you! I wish I would've had a warning! I guess it had to happen to me so it wouldn't happen to someone else. That's life I guess! Take care! Heartbroken in Orlando!

I'm a long time user with Metro PCS. Never had a problem 24/7, however after Metro PCS completed their sale to T-Mobile, my phone started blocking attempted calls--saying "emergency calls only" once or twice a day for brief times. Gradually over the year my reception has deteriorated to the point I have service about 50% of 24/7. I've contacted support many times. The staff are always pleasant and they reset my phone -- it will work for the next few hours.
Today they wrote up a customer care manifesto and a technician is scheduled to make an appointment and try to fix the problem on site - that is a positive step toward a solution and makes me feel Metro PCS is genuinely concerned about me -- it's a good feeling, I hope they figure out what's wrong soon. Until then I can't give them the 100% approval I would have given them 2 years ago. To be continued...

Secondly $30. For a “startup fee” - charged as an “urban accessories??? I mean WT? on top of the $50. For activation? $25.00 for a SIM card? $10. Rebate makes it $15.00. No biggie. I guess. Not really though. (Sim is $10 in Bellevue Wa 156th store.)
MPCS says no fees tax etc. ok? Not at Lynnwood Wa 196th MPCS store... I feel ripped off! Granted it’s only $35-$40 or whatever but it’s the whole principle deal. MetroPCS advertised as “no taxes & no fees.” That’s too much a discrepancy between stores and policy anyway. Bellevue store staff didn’t understand it, customer support in Texas didn’t either. I travel a lot and need international service, which has been great with T-Mobile. But when my phone died just before a trip, I saw that Metro PCS had a great offer on new phones and service "on the T-Mobile network." We bought the phones, the "international service" and off I went to Greece and Italy - where the phones did not work AT ALL. Not to call a hotel or car service, to reach friends when I was lost in Lindos, not to stay in touch from anywhere. NO SERVICE. We tried to reset the phone remotely. I tried from Europe, nothing worked. I had to spend $200 on ship's internet just to stay in touch. I spent an hour in Athens trying to swap the SIM card, but of course we could not unlock the phone to do that. Unbelievably frustrating.
When I got home we immediately went to the store, where we learned that the saleswoman had made a mistake about the service. Many countries are covered if you're calling FROM the US, but if you are outside the US, the only countries that have coverage are SPAIN and SWITZERLAND. This is useless to me. I said we wanted OUT of our contract, which is possible, but the phones are LOCKED for 90 DAYS. No amount of talking to customer service by phone or in the store made any difference. So now I have a brand new phone I cannot use, and am paying for the T-Mobile service so I can keep my phone number. The people in the Weems Lane, Winchester, VA Metro PCS store are clueless.
I've been taken advantage of and I'm really upset. Will have to buy ANOTHER phone just to have service for the two months until the Metro phone unlocks. Metro could not, would not address the fact that the problem was caused by the person they employ, in their store. This is terrible customer service, both in store and if you try to get through to them by phone. I strongly urge you to avoid this business.

My wife and I had 2 different plans, she was unlimited and I had a promo deal 8GB for $30. Last month we had a hardship and had to go cheaper. I was told that my plan wouldn't change but my wife could only get 5GB. We asked in store, "My plan will not change? And I will still have 8GB?" The store employee said yes. He didn't explain any of the pro-rated bill at the time. So when the new bill came out, my wife and I were told. Starting this month our bill would be $70 plus tax and our phone insurance. We weren't told that we would be paying 2 months worth the service on this bill. Then come to find out my plan got cut due to our plan change, 8Gb down to 5. And there's really no point of going into the store for anything. They can't see our bill or tell us anything about our account. The store manager did nothing to rectify our problem and said call customer service.
We learned of our situation at the store, we couldn't turn 1 phone on without losing mine or my wife number. We left to go discuss if we could afford our bill of $145 and decided we could. An hour after paying our bill, my wife's brother called to tell us my mother-in-law was not doing well and we needed to get to Chicago. My wife went straight back to the store with the receipt to see about a refund because we needed the money to get to Chicago. They told us call customer service, customer service tells us since we paid cash at the store it'll take 4-6 weeks. But that we could try going to the store to try to get our money back and they would put a note in the computer about our emergency and to have the store work with customer service about our refund. I called the store to tell them what customer service said. And all I get is, “Our system isn't the one they use at customer service so you'll just have to wait the 4-6 weeks.”
The lady from customer service said they would talk to the store from my wife's phone due to our situation and try to help us get our refund. The Metro store employee wouldn't even do that, my wife's mom might not make it till the weekend, let alone 4-6 weeks. This is BS, we paid cash, have a receipt, and it was less than a hour before she asked for the emergency refund. There's no point having stores if the damn store can't do anything except tell customers to call customer service or don't tell your customers the full details of their plans. If they lose data or pro-rate 2 months together. We asked all these questions before leaving the store last month. But we get completely screwed by employees not knowing what they’re doing while changing plan, or they knew willingly and lied to all my questions. We will be taking our phone service elsewhere and will tell people not to use your company.

Metro PCS has the superior technology for a fact & with their partnership - Master service agreement with T-mobile's cell sites which use SEPARATE transmit & receive lines (only carrier that planned ahead for today's demands). I was Wireless infrastructure trouble markets for 18+ yrs. So #1 tech is Metro PCS followed by T-Mobile for reliability & streaming quality/DL speeds then followed by VZW for balanced network with access to a lot of National Parks. I cannot & will not endorse AT&T for ethics violations & utter disregard for human life never mind poor coverage & truly not giving a rats about QA/QC in my meager opinion.
The government should bar them entirely via governor's debarment lists at the state levels... Even OSHA nor any wireless company likes to do biz with these guys pricing "Matrix". I use Metro PCS as my phone provider because their rates are low, there's no contract, and I get good cell coverage from my home. I'm using the $30/month plan, which comes with 2GB of 4G LTE streaming data. I do not use Metro PCS because they have great over the phone C/S. When I have an issue, which is rare, I go to the company store, and speak to someone there to get my issue resolved. If you want or need great C/S by phone, then I suggest you get another carrier.
If you need a budget phone, then Metro PCS is offering a phone that I just upgraded to, the ZTE Blade Z Max, which comes with 2GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. It runs on the Nougat system. That's twice as much RAM as was on my previous phone. Try getting that much RAM on any discount phone at your local supermarket for just $99!!! Like many others, with less RAM, I had issues with my older phone saying there wasn't enough space to install updates to apps I already had on the phone. If you drive all over town, and need the best cell coverage, I think that AT&T is the best for that in my area. I'm retired, so I don't have to have that on a daily basis.

I called them of course and the representative said they were aware of the issue and that they would have it resolved by the following Monday. Checked bank statement Monday, and they had in fact refunded my $51. Well come Tuesday I received an email that my bank account was overdrawn (yes I'm poor). Metro had gone back into my account and had taken $51 out AGAIN. Called them and they gave me more BS that they were aware of the issue. Being aware doesn't help me in this situation.
I will be charged every day that my account is overdrawn until they make this right. They were never authorized to take the money, this was a one time payment. Bank of America is now involved and if they haven't reversed the charge by 10/19 then this will be considered a fraudulent charge. When I spoke to the rep that they asked me for my high security password, I did have a password, but it had never been phrased as a high security. I gave them my password that I had always used and they told me it was incorrect. Even though I had verified all the information on my account. I believe that this was fraud since I received the text and I have not made any changes to my account. Also, my service was shut off at that point. They told me what I had to do was go to a Metro PCS store, show an ID and they would give me the password.
So after work I went to a Metro PCS store, gave them my ID and I was told by the store this was not something they could do there, but I have to call Metro PCS. I then went back home, called Metro PCS. Told them what the store told me and they told me the information they gave me was incorrect, that the store should have been able to give me the information. They then told me I needed to go back to the store, ask again and then tell them to call Metro PCS so they can explain to them that this was something they could do. I received it to go back to the Entropic store. They looked at my account and told me my account was fine, all I need to do was make a payment and everything was fine.
So I did just that. Made the payment. However, after making the payment, my service never came back on. For the 4th time I call Central PCS to find out why my service was not on after making the payment as their store instructed me to do. Again, they asked me for the high security password. That I don't know and I never changed. I told them everything that happened to the store after going 3 times as they instructed me to do. I told them I was over this. All I wanted was my payment back that I made that, apparently I never should have I have ran around to 3 different stores, asking all the questions they have asked me to do and I have gotten nowhere. I'd find I'm standing in front of the store that doesn't open till noon which at almost a hr of being on the phone to be told this.
It is 5 min till noon so I go to show the guy my phone and the messages and explained the problem and gave him my ID. He says, "Sorry there is nothing I can do as the name on the account doesn't match the ID. Because someone changed the name on the account you should just order new service," he says. Just send out a group message on Facebook or something giving them the new number or figure out who changed it so you can get their security info and then I can fix it at this point."
They gave enough clues. I suspected my evil??? stepdaughter so I go on a mission get her to confess and give me security info. So down to the nearest Metro to try to fix this and she's like, "Oh there's nothing I can do to help you. You're just screwed. Order new service." When MetroPCS agent finished messing with my phone, she asked for me to pay that I did, she handed me my phone and said, "You know your phone battery is dead but your service is on. Go home charge your phone and start using your unlimited service." I thanked her and left the store. I went home, charged my phone and try to make a call and received "Thank you for calling MetroPCS. I can see your phone is not registered with our company but don't worry I have a solution to get your phone registered." The solution was for me to call 1-888-8METRO8 or go to MetroPCS authorized store, but mind you they made it impossible for me to even reach their customer service.
Okay next day I went to a MetroPCS authorized agent. The girl fumbled with my phone for a while, then called their customer service after a long while she said, "The phone will start working in 30mins." I waited 30mins, tried to make a call, same problem. She grabbed the phone, called customer service again after she told me to go home the phone will start working in 72 business hours. It's 8 o'clock, she had to close shop. I said ok and went home.
Next day still no service. I borrowed a friend's phone, called MetroPCS customer services. They kept me on the phone for more than 2hrs and finally said "You need a new SIM card" to that I asked what was wrong with my SIM card. He claimed the SIM card is now dead. It's now over two weeks without service. I went to an authorized agent store, bought a new SIM card. She inserted the SIM in my phone with the exact same problem. She called customer service came back and told me, "You need a new phone," to that I said ok and provided her with a different MetroPCS phone. She put the SIM card in the new phone same problem. I noticed her anger and frustration, took the phone back from her thank her and left.
Next day I called customer service with my friend's phone, same problem then they told me to wait 5 business days for them to write a report and come up with a solution. I waited for five days still no solution. To make a very long story short it's been a month and two weeks since I paid MetroPCS for a phone service and still have not made a call with the service yet. My advice, try any other company before METRO PCS. Right now I'm using Simple Mobile and never had any major problem with them.

A year ago, I closed my Metro account. Recently, I went online to reactivate the account and turn the phone back on, however I ran into a problem. Once they secured the $50 payment off my debit card, I was advised by customer service that the phone was on another account and could not be activated. Finally after 2 days I took the same phone to Cricket wireless and they activated it. On the same day Metro sent me a email saying my phone was now activated and ready for use. When I contacted Metro they said I would be refunded the deposit. Now fast forward 2 months later. Metro PCS advised me I lost that deposit and there is no way to get it back. The customer service agent explained some crap about data (which I never used) then hung up on me. I will NEVER do business with this unprofessional company again.

Metro PCS have very poor reception. I do not liked this phone at all. It doesn't message right all phone calls & message drops. The apps mess up when you are looking for something and you can't get on Internet when you want to. You have to turn your phone off and on several times in order for it to work. I learned when you need extra minutes they will charge you $5.00 or more, if you don't pay it right away they will cut you off. Thumbs down on this phone. I had my phone two years. When you want to upgrade you pay just as much when you are starting new service. No discount at all. If your phone is broken you have to pay $50. When I was with a different carrier my phone was broken and I didn't have to pay at all. No more of this phone again.

We used to have a contract with so many minutes each months to share, we seemed to go over every month since if you talked 1 minute and 2 seconds, it got rounded up to using 2 of your minutes. We will stay with Metro PCS as long as they continue to give us great service and the monthly charge is reasonable.

A. I cannot utilize their 866 number at all. They can't lookup my account because either my zip code magically doesn't exist, or my phone number. B. I can't actually pay for services and my bank says they're sending the money back. They charge me extra when I go into the store to pay my bill. The people who worked at my local store said that it was an issue with the microchip debit cards that most all banks issue now and that MetroPCS has not yet upgraded to be able to handle them. I couldn't use the MetroPCS app for payments like I should have, at least post chip-card issue.
C. They always ask me for a pin that they never gave me and receiving that pin requires successful navigation of their customer support and/or having my phone on/paid in order to retrieve that pin. D. They are required by law to provide sim card unlocking so long as the client owes nothing to the company (lease or lean.) MetroPCS has stated that a device is not eligible for unlocking unless 90 days of consecutive service which, if you can tell from my previous concerns- NEVER actually happened in the angry four months that I had the service.

My iPhone 5s died and I only had 2 hours to buy a phone before a very important meeting. Metro PCS was the ONLY store open. The inexpensive phone would be out of stock until late afternoon so I had to buy a $129.99 LG Stylo 2 Plus. They charge for caller ID/name!!! Unfortunately when I called someone there, caller ID showed someone else and the settings showed about 1 1-2 hours of pre-use. The manager the next day was not helpful so I had him re-register my "new" phone. I asked him if the person worked there and of course, again, no response. At least he could have given me a free phone case for it or something to make up for this. Even refused to look up to see if anything was wrong with the phone. First of all, I created this account just to write this review. Service from Metro worked fine for around 8 months, but the past 2 months have been horrible. They promise 'unlimited' everything but don't you dare exceed their definition of 'unlimited'. If you do, you have to pay an extra $5 to continue receiving what you already pay $60 a month to get. And when you pay that extra $5? Internet is still slow, still lags, still can't be found by laptop/computer. Call customer care? Expect to spend at least an hour on the phone because no one speaks English. After 8 phone calls of speaking with Indians, I gave up and finally figured out the problem on my own. And don't you dare ask for a credit for your time. You'll be told to go to the store and waste another hour over a measly $5. MetroPCS is to be avoided. You've been warned.

Two months ago I switched from Page Plus to Metro PCS. I brought two lines over as well as received a phone for free for my son. So a total of three lines. Almost immediately I had problems with my phones. Just my particular phone. So for the next week I went into the store that I signed up at and each time they did something different, I have dropped cause when I'm on the phone and someone tries to call in it disconnects both lines. It will not allow me to answer any incoming call if I'm on the phone. I have not been able to check email since I've had this service. The service area is horrible. I cannot receive calls while I'm in my home. I literally had to stand next to a window to get good reception. I brought my phone in to the store at least five to six times in one week. Finally after the last time I was told that since my phone came from Verizon they always have problems porting Verizon phones over so I would need to get a different phone.
Of course they would now be a cost for me. I could get a nice phone for $100, to which I replied "when I transferred over why did you guys not tell me this I would have gotten a different phone at the same time I got my son's phone," they had no reply. So I called customer service. Can never get through. It's always transfer here transfer there and with the service being so horrible I would often times drop the call. So the other night I went down to a nearby gas station. Rye literally had to sit for 45 minutes and make the phone call. Of course while on the phone someone tried to call me and disconnected me so I had to call back the individual that I spoke to. Gave me all these different settings to switch which I did. He said "your service should be perfect now." Well guess what. It was not. So the next day I called back from a different phone to talk to somebody else after I told her of my displeasure.
Her response was "Well there's nothing more we can do. We've done everything we can do." I said "well I guess I should go somewhere else." She said "I'm very sorry about that but maybe so" and she started talking to me about "thank you for calling" so I hung up on her. My advice to anybody going to this company do not go. Go to some other company. These guys are scammers. They just want to find ways to build you out of more money as there is no reason they could not have given me one of the free phones! I hear Cricket is great. I also plan to file a complaint through the Attorney General's office for my state. My Hope Is that with maybe enough complaints each state will start to take this company on and they will sue them for what they are bilking people for. So good luck to everybody. Keep filing complaints. Go through your State Attorney General's office. There are consumer protection laws.

That was the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars, the girl we dealt with at the store told us we could hook our phones up to our TV to stream Netflix, etc. Neither of our phones have that capability, and we were VERY adamant that we needed that because we don't have WiFi. She assured us that we absolutely could stream unlimited, and nope, 8G hotspot, that's it. So I was pretty pissed about that, since I had a grandfathered 60G plan with At&t for only $150 with the 2 phones. First of all I called regarding the issue that I am having with the Stylo 3 LG and the little gal that is working there tonight August 10th with the owner automatically decided she was going to tell me that I was a liar, that there is no issues with the LG Stylo 3, that I would have to come in and bring my phone. I got there about 7 p.m. showed her the phone and right away this little gal started telling me my phone was damaged. I have to put it in my back pocket because it was warped. I've had this phone for maybe 2 months if that it's been any case since the day I bought it. Paid $350 for this phone. Yeah 350 is not just a drop in the bucket for me.
First of all when I walked in I felt like I walked into a topless bar the way this little gal was presenting herself and the type of music that they were engaging in was very inappropriate, lots of cussing, lots of sexual gestures. Not a good way to run a business. The owner decided to come over after he saw my frustration with this little gal that was trying to tell me what was wrong with my phone. I feel it's the battery but they could not even be bothered with trying to put in a new battery to see if perhaps it is the battery and they did absolutely nothing. Tried to blame it on my apps, tried to blame it on my phone cords. Refuse to take any thing that I felt since I live with the phone everyday and address my issues. It was all about their issues yet I pay for the insurance every month and for what reason when I don't even get to take care of issues with my phone. It's dictated by the owner and his employee?
Absolutely nothing was accomplished. I drove almost 17 miles because it was the store that I bought the phone from originally for absolutely nothing to be done and be sent on my way with a little scribble note to call LG let them deal with it. I don't know what it takes to be an owner or a partner for MetroPCS but after what I saw today they might as well just get people off the damn street because this owner and the little gal that was probably 10-12 years younger than him really needed to go to a quieter environment and it was very obvious that they did not want to be bothered with customer.
I have had a lot of issues with MetroPCS. They say that their second line is $25. I went to go Adeline cost me $62 for my and it cost me another $58 to add a line. A week later I get a text message for another $15 that nobody can explain to me why and they interrupt my service for $15 after I just paid over $100. That's some kind of **. Anybody that you talk to as far as customer service goes you cannot understand. They have no clue what you're even talking about and it's like talking to a wall because they don't even acknowledge any of your concerned because they don't understand him but yet those are the people that are helping us. Flippin' wonderful. I cringe at the thought of calling customer service every single time because they are absolutely useless. And I work and really need a working phone. After a few days I called them and spend hours troubleshooting the problem. The customer service agent tells me, "Oh, it's your SIM card. Buy a new one." I'm like, "OK." I got into a Metro PCS store and ask do they sell sim cards and then proceed to telling him "I have a problem with sending and receiving calls." He tells me, "You should have got a text stating you will get 2 weeks free due to an antennae issue." I said, "I knew it! I knew I didn't need to waste money and buy a new sim card."
Then a few days later I have my girlfriend try to get the free 2 weeks for me while I'm at work, again I can't even call them to fix this issue. She tells me they said instead of paying $110 for 2 lines, we only have to pay $100. I'm mad as hell. What do you mean $10 off for a phone service that is worthless!? I call them again mad as hell saying, "I want 1 month free or I'm switching service providers." This is Monday. I go to work tomorrow. And they said I owe $100 by 12 am tonight or the service will be cut off. I'm like "I need service for work tomorrow" and I tell him "I am not paying $100 for a worthless service."
Ryan tells me, "OK no problem. You don't have to pay tonight but you will have to call tomorrow morning and ask for a 48 service extension." I'm like, "Are you sure I'm going to get service with you guys tomorrow because I need it for work." He says, "Yes, I'm writing down what you need verbatim and they will give you 48 hours extension. Just call early tomorrow and they will do this for you."
So, I could have went that day and got a new phone service provider that afternoon. The next day comes and the machine says, "You have to pay $100 because you have suspended service. Press 2 to ask for an extension." I press 2. "Sorry, it seems you do not qualify for an extension and our agents cannot help you get an extension. GOODBYE!" I knew it! It NEVER worked properly. Not even the first day I bought it. First I noticed whenever I make calls I cannot hear the person on the other line. I usually can only talk for about 30 seconds before I have to hang up and call back.
Other people also complain that it sounds muffled when they talk to me. One example of the garbage service is a call I had to endure yesterday. In a 15 minute call IMPORTANT my call was lost 7 (seven) times. So every 2 minutes I had to hang up and call back. The second problem is the phone itself. After 2 weeks the volume buttons stopped working. After 1 month the touch screen began to freeze and will not allow me to hang up a call unless I click hang up 50 times. 3rd is the data. I cannot listen to any music while I'm away from wifi. The data is worthless.
NOW let's talk about T-mobile. My ex girlfriend had one of these pieces of trash. It's the same as Metro just 5 times the price. That one was basically the same. Garbage service and data. She couldn't even call an Uber from her phone or check her email. Bottom line is just pay a little more and go with Verizon or AT&T. Also Metro PCS is trying to charge me a warranty fee to get a replacement phone and they lied about my monthly rate. They said $40 and it's $42. Luckily I will be going back to Verizon after only 2 months on Metro PCS.

I have been having a problem with my Metro PCS phone since DECEMBER 2016. I cannot call certain numbers (get an automated message that says I need to purchase a calling card), including 888-863-8768 (METRO PCS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!). I have created 37 Service Tickets, but this issue has not yet been resolved.
When speaking with Customer Service, you realize that there are actually people with negative IQ scores out there... They are absolutely retarded. They never provide a straight answer, and have no idea what they are talking about. I have representatives promise me a LIFETIME credit (no charge for the service ever), tell me that my problem cannot be fixed, tell me that the problem will be fixed within 3 days, tell me that the problem has been fixed even though it hasn't... You name it, I have heard it. They have admitted to stealing and selling people's credit card numbers, engaging in money laundering, fraud, larceny and dozens of other crimes (yes, I recorded the conversations and turned the recordings over to State and Federal agencies for investigation/prosecution). I have filed 6 separate lawsuits against Metro PCS and the employees thereof. The only reason I keep the account is because they cannot legally bill me until the issue is resolved... Besides, several supervisors guaranteed me free service for life. In this case, Metro is definitely worth what I am paying ($0.00).

Recently older phones just stopped working without any warning. Could not do anything with my phone and lost many customers. Went to Metro and was told I needed to buy a newer phone as the older ones are no longer working. I was desperate so I said, "Give me the lowest priced phone." They said there is a sale on phones for returning customers but I would have to pay 15 dollars to keep my number. I said of course I need my number. It is on my advertising. Then they said I had to pay the taxes on the whole bundle. I had no choice. I need my phone and paid. They turned on the phone and I realized I cannot see any buttons clearly as it was cheaply made. I told the man this is junk. I would never use it. He said, "No problem. Choose one you like."
I chose a much better phone. Usually 200 dollars but with discount it was 100 dollars. I went to pay and was told I used my one time discount already on the first phone and now have to pay the full 200 dollars... and I would have to pay again the 15 dollar fee to move and save my phone number... and I would have to pay taxes on the whole transaction. So I lost a working phone I paid for, lost customers and had to leave work to go to the metro store then had to buy a new phone... but then buy another new phone and pay all the fees and taxes and I am out 287 dollars just to keep a phone working. THIS IS ONE HELL OF A SCAM FOLKS. THEY NEED TO BE PROSECUTED.

On the 29th of June, 2017, I went to my local Metro PCS store and bought the ZTE PRO MAX PHONE. I bought this phone because my roommate got one and liked it. So I switched from Boost Mobile to Metro. That process took a long time because I needed my account number from them. 4 times we were hung up on. Anyway, finally I got everything in order. By the way, I only decided to keep my phone number because Metro wanted to charge me 50.00 extra dollars for a new number. So as I'm standing around waiting for my business to be done I'm looking at different signs with promotions. I noticed one that said all taxes and fees were already included in the 50 dollar unlimited plan. That's the one I was getting and also the one my roommate has. Problem is that my roommate pays 56.00 a month. So I asked why and was told the 6 extra dollars was for insurance.
I always thought that insurance was an optional thing. And even after making it quite clear that I wasn't going to want insurance they put it on anyway. And I didn't realize it till I saw my new bill. 56.00. After many hours on the phone they canceled the insurance and gave me a 6 dollar credit. But I wonder how many other people they are doing this to. Because that insurance will go on till you stop it. And they don't tell you they are putting it on your account. That's why I'm here to let you know what's up. Metro PCS says that taxes and fees are all inclusive in their rate plans. So if you are paying more, you are being ripped off. You have to find out yourself, they aren't going to tell you. And trying to resolve it is going to be another pain in the neck. My Metro PCS is located in Newport, Kentucky, on 10th street. Thank you and good luck.

When I went to the store on Jamaica Ave in Queens to have the sim card activated in the phone, I was told that I have to buy a phone from them to use as my phone would not be viable. This is despite the fact that they have a brochure in their store encouraging people to use their own phones. I find this to be shoddy business practice and shameful. How are they able to lie to its customers and not be held accountable when AT&T was sued for intentionally slowing down internet access speed. It's illegal because in case of an emergency one would need the quickest internet access no matter if one pays more or less for an access plan. There has been no "new" hardware installed by Metro PCS to make it any faster or slower to its customers. A customer with the $60 mo plan is now allowed 32GB per month. I use my phone for work and cannot afford not to have a working phone, bought a new upgraded version of phone same day, insisted that insurance be on this new phone, asked sales rep if I can see the plan for confirmation on screen. Rep said that only store rep and call to customer service can confirm protection plan.
Two weeks after purchasing my new phone with insurance, something told me to call customer service to confirm protection plan... I was told I don't have insurance... ARE YOU KIDDING ME... Do not appear to be focused on rapidly solving your problem. Store employees are trained in cost of plans and signing you up. NOT technically trained. So, if you really want help you appear to be out of luck. I have not rated this as one star due to the service essentially being fairly good in the coverage area (however see below).
Metro advertises as running on the "T-Mobile nationwide network". And this appears to be true with regard to voice calls. There is a large grey area on their coverage map served by third party providers. We just got back from a trip through Montana and Wyoming... lots of grey area. Voice coverage worked for the most part, however THERE WAS NO DATA CONNECTION. This is not made clear on the Metro website, nor is it made clear by Metro tech support (if you can call it that). An absolute scam, I almost threw the money at the assistant. I was that disgusted with what I was being charged. The phone was for my wife so I let her deal with this person. Total and utter scam of a company, beware. You will be ripped off by the media.

Metro PCS sales reps sold me a new (inferior) Coolpad phone by telling me that my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone wouldn't work on the Metro PCS network. After using the Coolpad and finding that I couldn't do very much with it (only 5 GB of total storage space), I called Metro PCS customer service and asked if I could use my Samsung S4. The customer service rep simply recorded the IMEI number of my phone into their database, and VOILA! my Galaxy S4 works with Metro PCS! I was sold a bill of goods by being told false information.

Send a text or pic using Metro PCS from one phone to another using the same type of phone on the same plan, you can expect the message to arrive 7 hours later. If you need proof I will save the many texts that were sent and received 7 hours later. Expect to be woke up by your phone in the middle of the night when you get a text or pic sent 7 hours earlier.

I bought 3 phones all with rebates. I was denied. I called and fix whatever was wrong which was nothing. They had all of the forms needed for my rebates. Once again they make up another reason. Well the store was promoting the rebate and I was eligible for the rebate. Now I got another denial and even spoke to a supervisor which was worthless. It's false advertisement the way they have you buy the phone and NEVER NOT ONCE received a rebate. This is crazy. They are full of it and need to be out of REBATE business because it's not what you're told at the time they are pushing the rebate. I'm gonna change service and NEVER use Metro again. Always an excuse. I'm done.
