I've been with Metro PCS for more than 6 years and I have their home internet, into internet keeps pausing every single time, doesn't matter if it's the beginning of the month, the middle of the month but it always does that even on my phones. I have more than five phones and honestly, they're going to lose my business with them. I call customer service and they wouldn't help me, they were too busy laughing and having fun and they put me on hold for more than 4 hours.

I've been having problems with my phone since August. I've called Metropcs a million times and I've been to metropcs stores the same amount of times too. The stores told me since I got my phone thru customer care it's nothing they can do. I've called customer care and they have reset my phone told me to turn my phone off and on it should work. I do as I'm told to do and my phone works for a few days nd back to not working.
This last time they told me to go to a store located on Schaefer. I went there and the told me they lied to me it's nothing they can do because I got my phone thru customer care. My warranty is up 12.1.24 with samsung. The man at metro told me I had to call samsung. I called on samsung 11.30.24 and got a list of dealers for samsung. In.12.1.24 I goes to one of the dealers on the list and I'm outa warranty. The warranty expired on 11.30.24 and metro has done absolutely nothing but gave me the runaround. I want my phone fixed or another phone on them because I've calling about this problem way before my warranty expired.

The clerk at the store was fantastic. She had brought it to my attention that I was eligible for a very good motorola phone at a discounted price, I had passed on it last couple visits but, the lady is so good and knowledgeable that she gave me no choice, this time, because I entered the store hoping she was there and she was so I had to pull the trigger and buy it! The perfect choice! Not only did I get a great phone but the worker on dayton,in aurora, literally showered me with all kinds of extra goodies that celebrated black friday! Head phones a few pair that are excellent sounding, screen cover, rear case, power bank, and more! She was so good to me, I even decided to buy the home internet deal as well! I was so happy when I left that I'm still buzzing from this deal! and I'm a sorta picky person! Excellent customer service!!!! Top notch in my book!

I call Metro PCS by T-mobile today. Asking why their manager at the store didn’t honor my account when I switch over from boost to metro. I was promise a phone. I didn’t get one. I still have my old phone. I have been trying to get a phone from them for over a year now. Plus when I sign into my metro account. It shows that I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I have an iPhone 8 Plus. So I was asking about this phone on my account that I don’t have and the representative Felicia hung up on me. That’s very rude and disrespectful. I think I’m going to try to get my service back with boost. At least they never lied or disrespected me.

Advised to get new number so it was cheaper. Got someone else's facebook page and this person happens to be deceased. When I went back to complain they asked if I wanted my original number. I always wanted my original number. Got charged for switching number and then charged again for switching number back. Phone is so slow. Didn't think any phone could be this slow. Also got texts from deceased gentleman's relatives saying I was disrespectful and I was hacking his account. This is the phone Metro gave me. It is metro's fault. Also I read online from another review that a senior was sold a refurbished phone and I know that is what this phone seems like. Filled out a survey and co. said they would contact me. Never did. Phone purchased at store on corner of Ryan and auburn, believe that is shelby twp. Would never recommend this product. When you tap screen usually the screen does not change. Also frequent message no internet access.

I had a lot of problems with Metro Pcs in stores. I went to several stores in Roanoke, VA. They put insurance on my tablet and my phone I bought from them. I went to two stores in Roanoke on Orange Ave because my phone was stolen. They charged me for insurance and didn't tell me I had insurance and I had to file a claim so I ended up paying an additional 103.00 for a new phone. I had to waste gas going to different stores and I had to call customer service several times to get the issue taken care of. Today I called customer service again and they finally fixed the issue. They were very friendly and helpful. I would just be careful at what store you decide to buy your device. I definitely wouldn't suggest going to any metro pcs on Orange Ave in Roanoke. I'm very grateful to the customer service for fixing this issue.

Metro by Tmobile is a joke. If it wasn't such a hassle to switch carriers I would. I have 4 lines mind you so it isn't just pop over to another carrier. Their internet sucks. They scammed me on their Wi-Fi hotspot box, refused to compensate, and their mobile Hotspot never works fast enough to use it. Their "authorized dealers will rip you off and Tmobile doesn't care. I am also tired of having to deal with foreign call centers. I can't understand them.

I went with them when they started 1998 in Sarasota Fl. We quit and tried others when they overcharged or something here and there but this time they went too far, they lie on the phone (recorded). I totally cancelled 2 lines and because over charging 25 a month and when I cancelled treated nasty referred to manager because they can't make refund decisions but got that far 5 times that day and 5 times because conveniently they would hang up every time we'd get that fare! Well last call said account info deleted and phone the 2 phone lines, well NOT!
Been being charged for 5 months I had to go to store to deal with it and the girl was flabbergasted when I showed her what happen, she calls as they have they owed me $170.00, guess what they wanted me to do - an upgrade!! On what I shouldn't have a phone line at all they stole money from my bank and it all documented canceled on the system but won't give refund! If you like being robbed of money use them and enjoy having problems go ahead but I'm serious don't trust them with payment on auto or don't use bank card EVER! Want proof? I have recording and bank statements and more. I'm not done with them, these companies will be stopped or pay back one way or another karma, God me. LOL... Much love to all good honest people!

I had to buy a new phone. I ask her for the motto but they said they didn't have it so she sold me a replacement phone. It has turned out to be garbage. Their customer service is horrendous, disgustingly rude, talks over you, doesn't help, makes you the problem, makes you wait for at least an hour every time, transfers you around, no one knows anything or is even on the same page, will ask you to verify everything to make sure it's you... but then tells you it's not enough and so much more!! My wife and I have been with Metro for years and they never offer any sort of promotion or upgrade on a better phone. So recently they came out with "Flex Plans" that state current customers get "same great deal" as new customers. The Flex plan is significantly more money per month but we decided that it was worth it for the Phones they offered. Went in store for them to tell me that yet again these particular phones are for new customers. They do not care about customer loyalty whatsoever. This is a marketing scam and you will NOT get an upgrade or new phone that a new customer would get. We left them today and went with ATT, got a s24 with no down payment and reasonable bill.

Our customer service in-store has always been very good. The employees there have consistently been very helpful. However, we had terrible experiences with the call center. We called in to set up two lines on one plan. First, the employee only asked if we had iPhones or androids; she didn’t ask what models we had. So she orders a physical SIM card for my husband. He has an e-sim, but I did not know that when I called. So she wasted our time by making us wait for it before we could get a (partial) refund. I could barely understand what she was saying. I don’t have anything against the employees having accents, but I just wish they hired people who I could understand. It also makes me question how this company treats their overseas employees.
Then, I ask for us to both have the top plan with Amazon Prime. She says, well if you only have prime on one account, the second account will cost less. I looked online, it’s actually cheaper for us both to have prime. So idk if she was just mistaken, or if she was trying to squeeze extra money out of us. Either way, I feel that’s something she should have known.
I spent so much time on the phone waiting for her to figure out how to help us, trying with difficulty to understand what she was saying, and getting the wrong info, that we decided to go in store to cancel our purchase. We didn’t order new phones, so we thought it’d be easy to get a refund. The store calls the call center and they say we have to wait for the SIM card to arrive, return it, and then get our money back. When the package came in the mail, porch pirates stole it from us. So we call and tell them we never received the SIM card. They transfer me to a supervisor, who answers saying something that has nothing to do with why we called.
They say, well we’ll have to put in a request for a refund and wait for a decision. I don’t understand what there is to decide, as we never activated our lines and had no sim to return. I ask, what is there to decide? What would make us NOT get a refund? Reasonable question, but the supervisor starts to talk over me, repeating the same lines “ we have to out in a request.” I ask again, yes but what exactly would cause us to be denied? No abswer. I get upset and raise my voice trying to get an answer. She barks at me and puts me on hold in the middle of my sentence. I call back and my call keeps getting dropped. I call a different number for their call center, no answer. I don’t think my questions were unreasonable at all. So for her to essentially hang up on me was uncalled for. Eventually we did get a partial refund. But we will never go with this company again. When it was metro pcs, I had great service. But they really suck now.

★☆☆☆☆ Metro by T-Mobile has been an extremely frustrating experience. As a loyal customer for several years, I find myself deeply disappointed by the lack of flexibility and constant obstacles in their customer service. The main issue arose when I tried to reactivate and change the plan for my daughter's line, which was disconnected. Despite multiple attempts, both online and in person at stores, it was impossible for me to make these simple changes. The most irritating aspect is their PIN verification system. They insist on sending the verification code only to the disconnected phone, completely ignoring my request to receive it by email. This creates an impossible vicious cycle to break, as I can't access the disconnected phone to obtain the PIN.
Furthermore, the experience on their website is equally frustrating. Every time I try to make changes to my account, the system forces me to re-enter the PIN and phone number, making any management tedious and time-consuming. After multiple failed attempts and lack of solutions from customer service, I am forced to seek alternatives with other providers. It's regrettable that a company doesn't value its loyal customers and fails to offer practical solutions to such basic problems. In summary, the rigidity of their policies, the ineffectiveness of their customer service, and the constant frustration with their online system have led me to decide to cancel my service with Metro by T-Mobile. I would not recommend this service to anyone looking for a smooth user experience and responsive customer service.

When I spoke with the representative they informed me I could make calls to US. However, when I went to Jamaica I had NO SERVICE. Not 1 day. I called. They told me they would refund me. Still no refund. I noticed I was charged for Global Voice when I paid my bill for September. They told me I was suppose to call before I made the payment because it’s prepaid so I pay in advance. However, if I’m prepaid why would they automatically charge me again for a 20$ if it’s not a contract???? Such a Scam. So DISAPPOINTING AND DISSATISFIED. Worst services ever. Their internet is crappy. I’ve had to get internet elsewhere cause the day I paid my bill my internet box stop working. I canceled the internet and they told me they would credit my acct and 2 months later and now call 17 just to wait on hold forever, get someone who barely speaks English, get transferred around, nothing gets done. I waste a lot time trying to beg for my money back. It’s as simple as typing in 55 dollar credit for internet device I paid for that day just to be promised a refund later that night cause my internet box was not working and they wanted me to spend 250 on another box.
This place is a real joke. Going elsewhere. This is the worst phone company. I looe signal on my smartphone. All I do is deal with horrible attitude from store workers that don’t want help. Have gone to store monthly to have them unfreeze my phone. Wanted to replace the phone but they said I was eligible to upgrade and the other phone would cost me $150. Plenty of diversity dealing with prime. Now they use Vix. I don't know who made that decision, but it cost them a long time customer. I have no interest in Vix, nor could I understand it if I did. I think that Metro PCS's service is very poor. First of all if you pay late which I paid two weeks after my due date of course my phone was disconnected but then the two remaining weeks they took $135 and did not give me a full month of service and I think that is crappy. When you try to call to speak with someone on the Metro PCS customer service line you are not able to get anyone whether you are a current customer or trying to be a new customer because I have tried it both ways. I'm not sure what is going on with MetroPCS but I think their service is crappy and of course I am very upset because they took a full month payment but only gave me half a month's service.

The minute you run into an issue with this place you will learn very quickly they are NOT GOING TO HELP OR RESOLVE IT. I paid 50 bucks for service and to have one of their A21 phones turned on. Then the phone has no service for 80% of the day, I come back in three times to show them no service and she tells me A GROWN MAN SHOULD KNOW BETTER, That is interpreted as she is young and stupid by treating the elder customers like they are stupid. They pulled this same thing with me 3 years ago and I had to file a lawsuit to get the refund. I told her and she said, "THEN DO THAT."
What is wrong with business today that they can't admit to their own error since they told me the night before the phone is good for their network. Then after I pay they blame me for using a phone from their store that is three years old but was never used, DO NOT EXPECT HELP IF YOU RUN INTO ANY PROBLEM. THEY WILL NOT FIX THE ERROR AND BLAME YOU AFTER THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY. You will have no choice but to file lawsuit if you need a refund for something they error in. The 1st time I called the lady told me I'd receive a 60 dollar credit. Never happened. I call back. 2nd time calling I talk to a agent and they couldn't help me so they connected me to a supervisor. I explained what happened and he gets rude & condescending to me. He said he issued a 10 dollar credit & removed the extra promotional line...he did not.
I call again for a 3rd time today and still no resolve. Metro basically told me I have to eat this extra fraudulent charge that I've been paying on for the last 5yrs..they lied to me they misrepresented themselves & I have to eat the extra cost. 60 bucks is 60 bucks but it's more about integrity and honesty and Metro has fallen flat. First off I would like to begin with how I just spent an hour and a half mostly on hold. I was on record having called last month to discuss a situation of being charged twice for the month of August. When I called on August 11th I was told by the supervisor that I would not be charged for the month of September. There was a recording of said conversation easy to referral back to and validate. The unfortunate and frustrating part is that now Metro PCS has decided to stand in a light of lying to their customers, and insulting them by saying that I was making the whole thing up. The conversation was recorded on their end for this very thing, but I was told they were not going to uphold their promise.
After years of on time payments, this will be my last month with their horrible business which has poor customer service. There is always a slight issue with language barriers, but that was not the issue this time. Their stubborn refusal to uphold their previous agreement, followed by the insinuating of my falsified claims were the issues. I plan to switch services as soon as I get to the end of this month. I'm sure that I will have plenty of options in which I can choose from that will honor their word and back their recorded agreements without accusations.

Phone services are expensive today. I can't believe that prepaid plans are priced the same as contracted services but offer fewer perks. The whole point of prepaid is to save money, not to pay the same amount and receive less value. I switched to Metro because I needed to cut costs. I was able to get a plan for $40, which included insurance on the phone I purchased. However, I wasn't satisfied with the phone and planned to purchase another one. I called Metro and requested to remove the insurance, as it wasn't worth what I was paying since it didn't cover loss or theft. The agent assured me it would be taken care of, but the insurance was not removed.
I contacted Metro again to request the removal of the insurance, but once again, the agent failed to address the issue. Instead, they continued charging me for a $30 monthly service, which I had not intended to keep. I made it clear that I no longer wanted the insurance and asked for it to be removed. After finally purchasing a new phone, the agent informed me they would be increasing my phone price to $40. I explained that I was already paying $40, and she told me that was due to the insurance charge. By this point, I was extremely frustrated. I decided to look elsewhere for my phone services, as I felt Metro was taking advantage of me.

Almost two weeks ago, I bought a Moto G 5G from Metro. This morning, without any explanation, the phone's screen turned black and hasn't turned back on since. I called the Metro PCs customer service, and spoke to SIX representatives, one claiming to be a supervisor, and they all told me that even though I've been a customer for 15 years who ONLY needed to switch my number back to the same Samsung phone i was using before i bought the Moto 5G, and each of the representatives told me there's nothing they could do, and that I have to go to the actual store. I told each one of them that I DON'T have a car, and therefore can't make it to the store.
None of the SIX representatives I spoke to mentioned ANYTHING about a charge when going to the store, but, sure enough, after I Ubered myself to the SAME metro store I bought the phone from, and after waiting in line for 30 minutes, the store rep told me he CAN switch my line for me, but I NEED to pay $27 first... A charge that none of the SIX phone representatives I spoke to disclosed (INCLUDING the supervisor). Since I didn't have $27 on me, mainly because none of the reps mentioned it and I had already spent my last Money on Uber, I loaned money from my sister and had her Uber me back home, Only to call customer service, wait in line for over 40 minutes, finally getting a rep, and then IMMEDIATELY asked her for a supervisor.
While it did take another 35 minutes to reach a supervisor, I will say that this particular rep was very polite, returning every 2 or 3 minutes to let me know she's still waiting for the supervisor. Unfortunately for me, the supervisor that ended up taking over started with "First thing I'll say is that whatever the representative who transferred you to me told you is 100% accurate, because she is one of the bests."
I told this alleged supervisor at least 10 times that I am not calling to talk about who's right and who's wrong about this $27 fee... That "I'm calling BECAUSE I need to understand why is it that I spoke to five reps and one supervisor in order to switch my phone for me, and they all said they couldn't do it, and that I have to go to the store, But NOT ONE of them mentioned anything about a charge." Somehow, this second supervisor that I spoke to couldn't understand, and kept cutting me off, repeating the same thing. "The rep you spoke to is one of the bests so what she said is the truth." Cutting me off so much that I wasn't even able to let her know That the female representative that transferred me to her doesn't Even know my situation because I immediately had asked her for a supervisor, considering that at this point, I had already spoken to five other reps AND a different supervisor.
But this so-called supervisor was very unprofessional, wasn't listening at all, kept repeating the same things, and I began to suspect that maybe she doesn't speak English, because I have never had to repeat myself THIS MANY TIMES with anyone, professional or otherwise. She has a thick accent, so I assumed she speaks Spanish well but has very limited English. Somehow, switching to Spanish offended her, and she proceeded to raise her voice, interrupt me incessantly, and, when I asked for her name, she hung up in my face. This is supreme blasphemy, unprofessionalism, and narcissism. You guys need to do better. I've been a Metro customer tor for almost 20 years.

I have to give a star to be able to write what scam Metro and their insurance did to me. I bought an iPhone 14 Pro Max with Metro under a contract to pay the phone weekly. After having the iPhone for a month the iPhone broke, the front glass come out from the back part. I went to the store in Airport Rd South in Naples FL where I bought the phone. I told them and show them what happened. The person in the store told me I have to call the insurance. I call the insurance Assurant. First they told me I have to pay the deductible, I ask how much. Was that told me $275. Well I pay the money. Because I have to pay the loan for the phone anyways and was $1290 plus interest fee almost $1700.
Anyways I pay the deductible and the insurance send me an iPhone that the IMEI was supposed to be was unavailable to connect. They told me to call the insurance and the insurance told me to return the phone and they will send me another one and they send me a label for the return.. I return the iPhone back to the insurance. Then they send me another iPhone, I went to the store again. The phone was blocked. They told me can’t be able to connected it. I call the insurance again and I inform them that the iPhone wasn’t able to be connected. They told me once again they going to send me a label to send the phone back again. They never send me the label. Call them. They told me to pay for the send if I want to send it.
I wait for few weeks for the label because after 5 calls they never send me the label. I end using the box they send me to send my first phone that was damage to send the second iPhone that I wasn’t able to connect because the box have a label glue to it. Now Metro PCS closed my account and the people for the insurance said they can’t be able to go to my account and they can see what happens so they can’t help me. I call the store. They told me that is not their fault and they can’t do anything. So after pay insurance for almost two months and own money for the iPhone I end loosing my money for deductible, my phone and the money I pay for insurance and I still have to pay the loan.
Metro offer the insurance, they charge for the insurance, they have contract with the insurance. I think they are responsible for what the insurance do to their customers. But when something come wrong they clean them self. Said, "Oh we can’t do nothing. You need to call the insurance." The insurance said, "You need to call Metro." No one want to do nothing about it, they blame each other. This is a scam to customers, nothing else. The people from the store told me that the phones the insurance offer are not new phones, are phone return by customer or phone fix by the insurance people. This is what Metro offer to their customer an insurance that lie to customers giving them old phone for new and also Metro lie offering people an insurance that scam the customers.

This by far is the WORST phone carrier. I called to inquire about using the insurance to either fix my phone or replace it. After going back and forth with them for about two weeks, I was told that since my phone type was not carried by Metro I would have to purchase a phone and submit the receipt and send in my broken phone to the Metro warehouse and they would determine what the reimbursement would be minus the $100 deductible. I said I don't have $1800 to buy a phone only to get back 2-300 reimbursed, the customer service person said I should start a new line of service so I could take advantage of the current promotions. I asked them if I would be able to keep my phone number. They said yes. I would just have to call them back once the new line was started.
I did everything the agent told me only to have them tell me that since they were not able to verify the old line I would have to either wait 30 days once that line is inactive or have a state agent call to bypass the verification system. I went to a location the store owner said that that was not possible since they would send a verification code to the phone and since the phone does not work the account can't be verified. I waited 30 days to see if I could get my number back. The customer service supervisor that I spoke to was very angry and said I had to wat 60 days to do all that, I simply asked why was I receiving false information about this. She hung up. I had a completely shocking experience at 2823 Third Ave, Bronx 10455 at 4pm on Jul 23. Equal parts incompetence, rudeness and verbal beration, and attempted fraudulent actions (signing up a customer for a plan they did not ask for, while lying that "this is how we do it"), culminating in being kicked out from the store and told to go to another Metro after calling out their fraud. After nearly two hours of abusive customer service (by both the employee and the manager), I *did* go to another metro store with the exact same request and the same hardware and information, and they had me activated *within 15 minutes* with a smile and professionalism. This is a specific issue with this store, to be clear. This is completely the two employees.
I came in for the $30 (25 with autopay) plan, bring your own unlocked device. I brought my own unlocked device. I also did research beforehand and confirmed that I have full T-Mobile band access and my hardware is compatible with their network. The employee was confused by my (fully compatible with Metro) unlocked device, and called the manager. The manager then denied me service saying that my hardware was incompatible. Of course, I protested, and corrected her, saying "my hardware is compatible", and showed her that I had full voice and data on T-Mobile's network right in front of her.
Despite that, she still refused to proceed with the sale, and refused my attempts to clarify the situation with the manager. She would not even let me talk to the manager. Only after 15 minutes of pleading did I finally get one shot to talk to the manager (humiliating). A competent customer service employee would fix the situation (work with the manager to explain that my device is compatible and on T-Mobile's towers without issue), not dig in and escalate hostility.
Now I had the manager (Alejandro) on the line who was immediately hostile, falsely claiming that my device would not work on the network (a professional would simply look up the phone bands. This is publicly available information.) Furthermore, he tried to claim that my device was too outdated to work on the network and had outdated software. At this point, I'm lucky that I've done Android ROM development and know what I'm talking about. Any other customer would be entirely and permanently turned off of Metro by this point and walk away with incorrect information.
I calmly pointed out that my software was up to date with Android 14, the device was still actively receiving patches, and I had moved the device onto T-Mobile two days before without issue. The store employee chimed in that "Metro and T-Mobile are different", fully digging in and grasping that my device *must* be incompatible with the network. I pointed out that no, they use the same towers, and in fact, I am a current TMobile customer and have been for years.
After half an hour of this (I'm literally getting tears in my eyes), The manager finally gives me a chance to register the device, but only after aggressively confronting me over the phone and telling me "I want to make sure we have this on camera" (whatever that means) and that I would be on the hook for the bill even if it didn't work. I agreed to have my statement recorded "for the cameras" or whatever he was going on about. That's fine, because the device will work. Again, all that needed to be done was pull up the band information for the device from publicly available FCC information. I'm not even in the industry, and I can do this within 10 seconds and Google, or the diagnostic page on the phone itself.
So the store employee starts signing me up, and comes back with a statement "It will be 110 for the first month." (All of the quotes in this section are exact quotes.) I go "for the $30 BYOD plan?" She goes "Yes, there are fees and insurance." I go "I don't want insurance." She goes "I have to add insurance." I'm mentally step back because this does not sound right at all, and ask for a breakdown of the charges. She then reveals "I have to put you on the $75 a month plan" and that I then "call in" and change to the $30 a month plan. I say "that doesn't sound right". She says " That's how we have to do it. " I then pull up the promotional material from Metro stating that the first month is $30. She says " I don't have to look at that" (their own material!) I again repeat that I would like the $30 a month plan. She then says " I don't have to deal with you" and "go to another store."
I finally say "this isn't right" " You know this is on you, right? Your information is incorrect, and you have been awful" She repeats that I should " Go to another store." Which I then did. I was so flustered and disassociated at this point from being berated for an hour that it actually took me 20 minutes to find my car, but I actually did make it to another metro store. "Maybe I was wrong, Maybe I was in the wrong" I mean these people really broke me down. But after I walked into the other metro store and handed them my phone and the same exact request, there was literally no issue. Within 15 minutes, I had a fully activated Metro line on the plan that I wanted.
So we have multiple issues here. Technical incompetence by the store employee. Technical incompetence by the manager. Rudeness by the store employee. Rudeness by the manager. But the real impetus for this review is the attempt to sign me up for a $75 a month plan when I asked for the $30 a month plan, combined with the lie that this is how it's done to get access to the $30 plan. Regardless of if this was malice or incompetence, this is outright fraud. I had been perfectly clear about the plan I wanted for an hour. I showed them the promotional material for the plan that I wanted.
Again, I'm extremely lucky that I was well informed coming into this store. Most would have been wrongfully turned away, or taken advantage of by the bait and switch. As you can see from previous reviews from others, this is a recurring pattern. I reported the incident to Metro and they elected to open a ticket for an investigation so I don't think I'm alone in thinking that this is an experience that is beyond the pale. This is not how to run a business. This is not how to treat people. Go to another Metro store. Do not come here.

Metro PCS seems to be scam company that contract its business activities. I recently visited Metro store on Lamer in Austin, Texas. I paid full price for a samsung phone to replace my existing phone. After going through the phone features, I realize the phone does not meet my speculation. I took the phone back for a refund with my receipt which states "Refund are accepted after 14 days of purchase". The store clerk/supposedly Manager refused to honor my receipt for a refund claiming that metro does not refund purchase phone for existing customer. Here is my issue with this policy:
2. The receipt clearly stated that the product can be refunded within 14 days as long as it's in good condition.
3. I did not buy the phone on metro discount. I paid full price.
I felt deceived by Metro because the receipt statement is completely different from the company policy. This is unacceptable and a clear violation of consumer protection right. I am writing for customers to be aware of metro double standard policy to force purchase. I approved this message.

Metro recently made a commercial stating how other companies give you a new phone to get you in and then later only care about new customers, so that made me think of the offer I was getting from Spectrum, to receive a free new iPhone plus a cheaper payment to come with them so I called Metro to see if they could give me an upgrade or lower my bill, and they wouldn't until I told them I was switching then then they try to match the amount of the spectrum company $48 mo., but no new phone. I told them I'm still switching and they wouldn't even let me get to the survey part because they didn't want to hear why they were losing another customer.
Don't do it just go to somewhere else, but if you already have them, tell them you're switching and at least get your fake unlimited plan reduced "costwise" but the service will still suck! They need to stop calling it unlimited if they "limit it after 35 gigs". I should have been switched. I always hear them offering $40 or $50 plans (new customers) while I was paying $60 for 10 years. I wish I can get reimbursed or credits for another month for me overpaying for something I didn’t want. I went there today to fix it, issue was resolved to get the extra line off even tho I wanted two of them off but it’s whatever. The guy gave me two “free” tablets just started scanning them and handed them to me saying they were free but when I check my account I see it was added and I know they will try to charge me I am not going to pay for that. I’m returning these as I don’t need tablets.
It’s ridiculous that they are trying to add extra lines without people knowing. I called Metro PCS right away and for weeks metro pcs and ups went back and forth redirecting me to the other one.
I finally filed a bbb complaint and I finally heard from metro pcs and they have verified there was no usage on the phone. It has been weeks since I filed complaint. While they started to respond about it they keep trying to close the complaint t before it is resolved and this was the only reason the matter was even responded to. I am on disability and I cannot afford to pay for a phone and not be able to use it. That 86 dollars is really affecting me and they had me file disputes twice which cash app denied for whatever reason.
I do Not understand why they can’t refund my card as they sent me an email verifying no usage on the phone. Why would I spend money on a phone get it and not use it at all? Makes no sense. Metro has since, taken all my credit balance and literally disappeared it from my account. No one in that organization is reliable and I feel robbed. I was never informed that they would keep my hard earned money. I need some legal assistance. Please help.

We still get the phone calls and the spam blocker does not work. Why do we have to pay to get these changed. The service is rude and we will soon be looking to change to another company as this is not good service and you cannot even grade them on the phone as a survey will hang up on you. It used to be but no longer. Even the supervisor is rude.

I unlocked my card and tried again only to find out that Metro locked my account. I called to speak to a rep. She informed that it was nothing she can do that I will need to wait 24 hours before processing any payment. What! Metro needs to get that error fixed and fast. I had this service for about 3 years and it was constantly bad service. Calls being dropped. High bills until I decided to go back to Xfinity mobile so I did 1 day before my payment was due. I went to the app and removed the auto pay and also called and let Metro know. Well to my surprise I still get the payment taken from my card so I call and let them. They supposedly filed a claim so I could get a refund and I was calling every week to get a status update for the refund just to be transferred around and not for agents who can’t speak or communicate properly to say they were going to escalate the situation so I could get a refund. Well it's been 6 months and nothing. I gave up and stopped calling. It’s the worst company ever!!!

I have been with Metro for over 10 years. All 3 of my children have been added to my account over the years. I have never had an issue until now. My partner made a payment on my account online as a guest. My service was not restored. Went to Metro on New Boston Rd in Texarkana. The CSR their called & we were told it was flagged suspicious bc it was an over payment (he actually paid 180 because he didn't know if there would be a reconnect fee), given a case number & told it would be resolved within 72 hours. 24 hours later I receive a text saying my "case has been resolved" but, my service is still not restored. Call metro customer service, give her all the confirmation numbers, card number, case number. She tries to tell me he paid on the wrong account & wants to open another case.
I told her I already have a case that is supposed to be resolved & that I can give her the case number. Puts me on hold again & then says "oh, yes, the case has been resolved because a refund has been issued but, we may not receive it until Monday. I told her I have been with Metro over 10 years & now I'm going to have to terminate my business with Metro because Metro made a mistake. She was unconcerned. I'm sure she thought I was just being dramatic but, I am not. I don't have another $163 to pay to restore my service while we wait on the $180 refund. And to tell you the truth, I'm not completely sure I believe we are going to receive that refund by Monday. I feel like I will be making another phone call to Metro soon for that. She said she didn't have a confirmation number of the refund that was being processed.
I just wanted to leave a review so that maybe someone will see it & resolve whatever issue it is that metro is having. Like why, if I give her the email confirmation number..why can she not find the payment. Why, when they finally "found" the payment..why couldn't they have put it to the right account. Why was I given the run around for days? Why was I never given a straight answer about what happen? Was it an overpayment that was flagged suspicious ? Or was it paid to the wrong account? I really hate to leave metro as I am a creature of habit, but I have to have a phone. I have 3 children with health problems. The school needs to be able to reach me.
I feel like this could've been handled better & resolved in a more timely & efficient manner. I feel that I was being lied to & given the run around & I do not appreciate any of that coming from a company that I have given my business to for as long as I have. Please, get a handle on things & do better. Goodbye.Confirmation number was **. Case number was **.

Metro customer service said my address isn't available for unlimited wifi. So they weren't even concerned when I told them I'm less than a mile away from the metro store that gave me the box and is still selling the service to people in my area. They said the option is to go to the store and see if the limited internet is good for my address. I don't want limited. I didn't cancel my other service until I paid for metro. Now I have to pay more to reconnect my other service. This sucks they put me through this and don't care.

I must start with saying that it was in May of 2020 when I opened my account. I was convinced that the plan for 60.00 was the way to go. I actually liked the plan and its features. Slowly the features started being removed. No reasons were ever given but it was not that big of a deal. I called in to get information involving my account and it was at that point that I realized that Metro was a "yes sir/mam" company. Not that they actually follow through with what they say they will do... it is more of a tell them what they want to hear just to get the all-star review.
Fast forward to a week ago... I decided to get a phone added to my account for my 15-year-old son. We went to the brick-and-mortar store. The rep there went out of his way to obtain the best price available to me. The rep on the phone call in the store was trying to send me a phone for free but on a 90 dollar for both lines per month. The store rep took the phone and said that I could have the same thing for 80 so why was he only offering the 90. After a code was put in to the computer the rep sold me a phone that my son wanted at a great price and I was walking out the door in no time at all.
The phone rep removed the "add-ons" even though that was to remain the same. So the following day I called in to see about my add-ons being suspended. That rep managed to put me on a cheaper plan with the same add-ons that I had previously. So today I tried to open my Amazon account like they told me to do and nothing happened. Once again I called in and the rep told me that Metro no longer has a tie with Amazon and gave me a number for Amazon to open an account if I wanted to proceed. That rep was telling me that he wanted to be the one to end the call- so that I can do the survey. Nope. So this afternoon I called in to see what I can do to activate my Amazon Prime.
The rep told me to hold for a moment. When the rep came back on the line, she said that I have Amazon Prime on my account but only for the remainder of the day. I asked why and she replied saying that they are rolling out new plans with Amazon the following day. That is when she said to call back in a few days to see what plan was going to be my best fit. I asked why I would have a plan for a week that I can't activate all the features. They said that they are rolling out the new plans and that I would have to wait. The rep was telling me that she had no info on the new plans for comparison and that I would have to wait.
She was trying to end the call but I asked for supervisor or manager that could tell me what might be available for me in the next day or two. 20 minutes later a guy came on the line and asked what he could do for me. Made no mention of name and/or title. He told me that the new plan was going to more than what I pay for now and that the second line was going to be an additional 30 dollars. So currently on the plan that I have had for the last week, I pay 72 a month for both lines. The new plan would be 79 for the one line and 30 for the second line totaling 109 a month.
He then said that he would put me back on the original plan of 60 plus 20 for the second line but that would generate fees and that it would only be valid for a day or two. So I said that it would be the same nonsense thing that I am going through right now. He then said yes it would be. So I asked that if I was calling in regarding the reps getting me into this ordeal being my problem, would the doing the same thing help solve my problem? He did not reply but asked if there was anything else he could help me with. I told him no that he should help his reps. He did not forward me to the survey but left the line connected for 2.5 hours before hanging up.

When I tried to pay my bill yesterday I was told too many attempts have been made. Try again in 24 hours and I tried to pay my bill today. It's been more than 24 hours. Whoops. Too many attempts have been made. There's always a catch with Metro. My plan is supposed to be $60 with auto pay but again my bill is $85 and I have no explanation. No one can explain to me why when I try to change my plan I can't because I need to make a payment that they won't take. When I try to change my plan payment date I can't because I have to wait 5 days after I pay my bill but I still can't pay my bill.
I have a son that's deployed overseas and with these ridiculous limitations I lose service for 24 hours. No texting or phone calls and nobody can answer. Nobody can explain to me except, "We have a limit on how many payments you can make." But when I don't make payments for anything and I try to pay my bill on time I'm blocked and I have to keep waiting and keep waiting and going without service until they're ready to let me pay my bill which isn't even the correct amount and no one can explain to me why.
I will be looking for a new phone and new service. Thank you. Do not recommend MetroPCS. There's always a catch and the service is not that great. Not just talking about the technical side of things. Customer service is garbage as well. And don't even get me started on how out of line and it's cheaper. No it's not because I had my son on my plan and it was not cheaper. I got charged $50 on a line that hasn't existed since early February; no one could tell me why I got charged (they also told me you can't even have 2 different auto pays set up with the same debit card, so there is really no reason I should've been charged). I've been trying to get a refund for almost a month now. $50 is not exactly a small amount of money to be missing out of my budget.
I was supposed to finally be getting a refund but it has not come in. I've spent hours on the phone at this point and spent multiple different trips to the store; if you think of the "cost" of that time and gas, you can imagine how frustrated I am. Give me MY money back. Now, I'm being told that I cannot be refunded. You've absolutely got to be joking me; this company has taken my money and is potentially unable to give me $50 worth of services or gear in return? It's my money and it's basically been stolen from me.
Also, this company is NOT friendly to the trans community at all (cis people can be hurt too). To add insult to all of this injury, I've been misgendered during EVERY SINGLE interaction; people assuming whether to gender someone as "ma'am" or "sir" by voice is always going to end up harming and/or triggering some customers. There's no way you can assume gender over the phone and it needs to stop. If I could afford a different phone company, I'd definitely proceed to switch immediately.

I would not recommend Metro to anybody. The phones might be nice. It might be a little cheap but it's not worth it. I rather pay a lot and have good service so sad.

I went to Metro Wilmington DE on market street to inquire about a phone because my was broke and it's been a week and nothing have come from insurance claim... I asked what was best to add a line or open a new account.... He responded "It's cheaper to open a new account." I have 4 lines active and assumed adding a 5th was better and cheaper... He quoted me $180 and stated that was the cheapest option... I was dumbfounded as my prior two phone were less than 220 or around about.... As I tried to look through my statement to see what I paid he kept telling me, "Oh just don't worry about it. Go ahead and get the new phone..."
I became suspicious because that was way too high for one phone and he was only giving me the $30 plan... So I decided to leave and go to my local guy in New Castle Delaware Metro... Where this guy has been taken care of me forever but because he didn't open up until 10:00 I went to this Metro that opened at 9:00 assuming I would get the same service little did I know I was being scammed.... Forwarding to the New Castle store the guy added a line onto my plan simply for $70 and gave me the same phone and a free case.... At the moment I don't think that that is right with the economy the way it is the way people are struggling and with me having five lines to be taken advantage of nonetheless....
I'm curious to see how many other people have succumbed to his lack of integrity and honesty. I feel that I was being scammed and would have been scammed if I pursued that instead of going to my familiar guy... In all honesty after that experience I don't even think that I want to continue with Metro... If they have people like that representing the company with the customer's best interest not in mind then I should possibly go somewhere else.... I am going to pursue this.... I hope that nobody else falls victim to this store or employee... And I would like to thank the New Castle Delaware Metro PCS store for their honest and having the customer's best interest at heart....

Had the issue some are describing where I'd call my voicemail and get a voice saying "your account is not recognized" and to try calling customer service. My phone is a Oneplus 7 Pro 5G. I called repeatedly and was on the verge of dumping Metro. First call, they reset my pin. Nothing. 2nd call was told to power cycle my phone and leave off for 5 min then try calling my own phone number. Nothing. 3rd call was told they were going to "reset my connection to the network" and to leave my phone off for 20 min then try again. Nothing. 4th call was given some vague assurance about getting escalated to their "best technician" and to try calling my voicemail after a power cycle. Nothing.
However on the 5th call after detailing all of these calls to the support person, she put me on hold and talked with her supervisor and they basically did something like "suspend my phone service and reactivate it". This sounded like the same thing from call 3 but it worked! Sucks I had to go through all that but glad it was finally resolved.

I have been with Metro PCS for over 15 years. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on phones and services and I'm tired of dealing with Metro. My service is awful. I requested a free phone from them after I have been a loyalty customer but yet they try to sell me a second plan. Do not go with Metro.

December 2023 I went to Metro store, they confirm my phone was not texting. The salesperson ordered me a new phone, said come back and pick it up. Went back two times, phone wasn't there. Went out of town for Christmas, return to the store. That corporate store had been sold to a new owner, the new manager denied ordering me a phone and said, "You didn't even buy the phone here." I called Metro corporate direct, they said they could not do anything. Today is March 18th I'm still fighting with the insurance company. They sent me two phones which did not text. Metro charges me every time when I bring in the insurance phone in to get it set up and they are not working. The new Manager of the Metro store suggested I buy a new phone. I went to buy a new phone 5 days ago, they charged me to set up that phone.
When he was setting up the phone with Metro he said he called Metro corporate and found out that they had a block on my texting and so he they took it off and now this new phone is texting. I asked him why didn't he do that on the insurance phone and he said he didn't think about it, I said if I bring the insurance phone back before I return it do you think it'll work since they unblock my texting at corporate, he said no guarantees. And he would have to charge me another $30 to set up that phone. And if it didn't text out it was my problem again not theirs. Now I'm on phone three in a matter of 10 days. I wish I could sue them from mental anguish.. This has been a real nightmare.

Everything was good until about a month ago. I called to suspend my daughter's phone & without being explained things probably they decided to downgrade my service. In order to go back to the normal service I've had for years I'm told I have to pay $120 just to get it back even though they did so WITHOUT PERMISSION!!! ALL I RECEIVED IS AN $18 CREDIT.

Customer service does not exist here. In order to provide service, one must stop picking up calls only to hang up without a word. 3 attempts, 3 different numbers showing stores in El Paso TX as being open. ALL 3, PICK UP AND HANG UP. If you don't want calls about your lack of service. Then send out mass text about outage if that is the case.

Metro PCS store on 6906 Market St. Upper Darby PA stole $110 from my TD Bank card, I made a full payment of $105 on Feb 26 for two lines, as of March 13th both phones was cut off and I was forced to submit $110 which is not my monthly bill due on the 27th of every month, and when I made the $110 payment I gave him a bank card to my account he stated on my statement that $110 was taken off, but the employee sent me a via text stating, "Thank you for your payment of $20", with a confirmation, he stated that he needed to make changes on my account due to them charging me extremely too much money every month for two lines, so end up disconnected a line that I did not ask him to, and he noted in the comments that I came in to cancel that line to make my payments now $25 a month for only one line when I have been paying for two lines over a decade to the same company.
I contact Metro because he told me to only deal with him because 611 Metro can’t help me with this recovery, my gut feeling just did not feel right. I knew that he was scheming & Scamming, so that’s why instead I paid with my bank card and not cash for his fraudulent activities, if I would have paid cash it would have been any paper trail, it would have been my word against his. I went to my bank. Got a copy today on the amount that was charged to my card versus the email, and bingo there you have it, it was far from capable, when I contact Metro they were fully aware of this deceit from this store, and still haven’t did anything to correct this horrible robbery against its consumers or customers. They still got this store up and running and they are FULLY aware of all of the FRAUD & THEFT that this store is conspiring, and they want to offer me all of these Bogus promotions.
After I have been this company for decades that don’t have a problem with cutting your phone off after a 24 hr. Extension, they don’t want hear anything but that payment that is DUE!!!! I went to my bank got a copy of what was taken $110 not vs the email via I received thank you for your $20 payment. I went to Upper Darby police station and filed a complaint with Officer T. and gave him proof of how I was a victim of metro pcs employee. Very Rude service. I would never ever in Life return to that store, and I’m also in search of a better mobile service, because I certainly could never trust this company again, they cover up major wrong doing issues in this company to resonate by BOGUS promotions. I rate this company 0 Stars.Very Unhappy Customer

In January I called to inquire about a line being removed off of my account. Representative I spoke with informed me instead of removing the line that the line would be free. Representative also quoted me a price to pay that was under $100. In February called again because the balance on the account was not correct. Representative I spoke with that month stated the information provided was not correct and the amount charged was incorrect. Paid the bill 2 weeks later. Representative stated that my billing cycle would be switched once the payment was made. Made the payment on the 20th billing cycle date. Wasn't changed. Phone was turned back off 2 weeks later.
Called in again to see why services were suspended. Caller stated the account does not state anything about a billing cycle date being changed. Asked for a supervisor. Supervisor never took the call. He/she kept sending messages for the csr to reply to me. Supervisor was on a call with another person and after the call she had me just waiting over 30 minutes before she took the call. I have been a customer far too long to be going through these inconveniences. Every time I call it is different information from another representative. I am tired of calling in every month for this company to fix things they are messing up and penalizing me for it to get more money.

This past Monday, a Metro rep named John completely lied to me about resolving a wrong shipment issue from Zizo phone case company (I bought a new phone and Zizo phone case from my local Metro PCS store). John, the Metro rep, heard my issue regarding Zizo company, who refused to take responsibility for sending me an IPAD cover instead of my replacement phone case after the case kickstand was defective after only 9 days. (Zizo cases have a lifetime warranty!) John, the Metro rep, apologized for what happened and then said Metro would send me a Zizo replacement case, and he confirmed the model of the phone case with me. He told me he was getting authorization from his supervisor, and that he would text me the order number and the tracking number within 20 minutes, which he did.
I was happy that the issue would now be resolved (after emailing Zizo back and forth several times with no success. They tried to blame the Post Office, whom I confirmed was not responsible). Then John decided to go above and beyond and told me to take the IPAD cover that Zizo had sent me to my local Metro PCS store and exchange it for a pair of their top of the line earbuds! I was ecstatic, and John then asked if I was willing to give him the highest customer service rating of "10", which I was happy to do. John said he would message my Metro PCS store to authorize the exchange. I went to the Metro PCS store soon afterward, and they thought I was crazy, saying that John could not authorize this.
They store suggested that I go to their parent company, T Mobile, because they might do it because they were much more likely to sell IPAD covers than Metro PCS would. I went to a T Mobile store the next day, and the rep there said they did not sell IPAD covers there, so they could not exchange it, and that their systems were totally separate from Metro PCS.
I realized that John had lied to me, but I figured that at least he had texted me the order number and tracking number for a Zizo replacement phone case, and that was all I wanted in the first place. Today, 3 days later, my intuition told me I should confirm with Metro PCS the order and tracking number that John had given me, so I called them this morning. The rep I spoke with was sure to apologize to me for all I'd been through with the case (that seems to be their typical response), but when I asked for him to confirm the order number and the tracking number that John had texted me, he had me speak with his supervisor. The supervisor basically said that there was nothing Metro PCS could do for me as far as replacing the phone case and that I had to contact Zizo, the phone case company.
I told her that I had already done that and that I had only called Metro PCS when it was clear that Zizo had no intention of taking responsibility for the wrong shipment of the IPAD cover. When she said there was nothing she could do for me, I asked her if she was going to look into why John had been allowed to make false promises and give me a bogus order number and tracking number (which was not recorded in his notes). Although she had John's ID number, she also said she could not look into why John had given me false information. I was incredulous and began to get agitated and tell her that Metro might just lose me as a customer after nearly 10 years with them over this, but the call then ended or was dropped. So there you have it. Metro PCS will lie to you and give you false information in order to get a stellar rating from you and their supervisors are ok with it. Beware if you get John as a rep

My phone number was compromised and my identity was stolen from my phone due to Metro PCS' weak security. This event took place last year February. First I noticed my phone wasn’t working so I called Metro PCS customer service from my husband's phone. They said someone else was using my phone number. That didn’t made any sense where I paid my bill on time and it was middle of month. Usually my billing cycle starts end of month. Representative advised to go to local store to recover my number. So I went to local store they said they can’t help where they're at fault. I had to fight and talk with supervisor to solve the issue. It took me almost 3 hours on their store to recover my number.
After I recovered my phone number two weeks later I received call from my bank that someone took 6+k from my bank account. Luckily my bank was able to froze the account and returned the money. I had to close down that account and open new account. I used to kept pictures of my ssn number, driving License, passport and other important documents on my phone. Few days later I started to receive letters from bunch of different banks and trading companies that I have opened my accounts with them which I never did. I realized my identity also was stolen. I took legal action right away and had to go through so much hassle to secure my identity. Still I am going through consequences. If I wanna open up any new bank account or transfer funds I have to make bunch of calls before I do that. It taking so much valuable time out of my life. It’s only because Metro PCS couldn’t protect their customers data properly.

Customers, not the old ones that keep them in business. Truly ashamed. We'll be looking forward to finding another company to work with.

He was so helpful and showed me how to get the best service and phone for my current needs. He in detail explained what to expect with payments made the day of purchase and how billing will go in the future. I am so happy with my phone and the service is TOP NOTCH!
