  • High-speed internet: Although it’s called high-speed, this is the slowest internet option from Frontier. It works well for basic needs like checking email and browsing the web.
  • FiOS by Frontier: This fiber optic option from Frontier works well for gaming and streaming. It’s available in three different tiers: 50 Mbps, 500 Mbps and 940 Mbps. The 940 Mbps speed is only available with FiOS Gig Service.
  • Vantage by Frontier: Vantage has speeds that reach up to 200 Mbps in some areas. It’s best for multiple-device streaming, including 4K video, and fast downloads.

Frontier cable plans

At the time of publication, Frontier Communications mostly offered cable plans bundled with internet service, not as standalone options. Only the Dish TV plan is available for separate purchase.

  • FiOS TV: Frontier Communications’ basic cable option includes sports channels, lifestyle channels, reality TV and on-demand movies. Bundles start at around $55 a month.
  • Vantage TV: Vantage TV is Frontier’s comprehensive option and has sports, news, movies, entertainment and international channels. Cable/internet bundles start at $82.99 a month.
  • Dish TV: Dish TV plans range from about $60 a month up to $95 a month. Basic plans have 120 channels. The comprehensive plan has 250 channels.

I am a seasonal customer of Frontier and I have voiceover and Internet. I have my service turned on in April even though I am not at that address until June. Other people do use my Internet, but they don’t have access to my telephone. When I arrived two days ago, I picked up my phone and it was dead. After spending a half hour the first day I arrived and another half hour the next day I was told some of the most ridiculous reasons why my phone did not work. I was told that the system would not allow a service tech to come out to my property to fix my problem.

The first person I spoke to whose name is.Thabiso asked me if it was OK to call me back in 20 minutes to see if he could resolve the problem of not being able to write me a service ticket. It’s a good thing. I didn’t hold my breath because he never called back. The second day I called again and I got a woman on the phone also tech-support and she also was unable to create a service ticket for me and told me that I needed a new router and two little boxes so that I could have a home Wi-Fi set up, which was free for 30 days and then would cost me $10 a month. I refused the two little boxes and she said they were mailing out a modem to me which is supposed to solve my Problem and I had to install it myself.

My frustration was so great that I called a number of a supervisor that I had in my contact list who is pretty local to my area. We do live in a remote sort of area. I left him a message requesting that he called me to at least discuss what I was told by the tech-support online and I guess he heard the urgency in my voice because it just did not sound like a normal resolution, a half hour later my phone rang and it was a local service man who has been at our property many, many times and he told me that he corrected my problem in 30 seconds and that all something had to be done. Was the Voice had to be reconfigured. My suggestion to Frontier would be that they retrain their tech-support people so that they don’t give them misinformation.

When their service works, it seems to work well. The problem is they routinely have outages in my town and when you call them to tell them about it they can’t seem to be able to tell they have an outage. Idk how an internet company can’t see when their services are down on repeated occasions, but they don’t seem to have the ability somehow. For those who work from home, if you need reliable internet I suggest a different provider if possible. Frontier is cheap but you get what you pay for I guess, and when their services go down every couple weeks for a whole day, that’s not what I call reliable, especially when they seem to have no idea it’s even happening 9 times out of 10.

One of their solutions is some new expensive upgrade that keeps your internet going in the case of an outage - so it almost seems intentional to upsell all their customers on new equipment and plans. I’m gonna call around and find another provider that actually improves on their services because frontier is getting worse as time goes on and this is ridiculous anymore.

Headline: Terrible customer service and zero regard for public safety. A storm knocked a tree into my internet line, leaving it broken and hanging dangerously over the public alley by my house. When I called Frontier to report this immediate safety hazard, they refused to send anyone out until the next afternoon. Disgusted by their lack of concern for community safety, I asked to cancel my service. The representative refused to process it, telling me I had to call back during regular business hours. Because I work during those hours and cannot make calls, I tried their online chat. The chat agent also refused to cancel my account, stating only a "special department" could do it. When I asked her to forward my request to them, she claimed she had no way to communicate with that department. Frontier would rather leave a dangerous wire hanging in a street and trap working customers in billing loops than provide actual service. Avoid this company.

Frontier fiber internet is a scam. I got a flyer advertising 6 mos free and $35/mo. I spent an hour on the phone going over all the details with an agent breaking down the discounts and how the discounts would be applied. They came out and put a box under the front window of my house (an eye-sore). They then proceeded to dig through my flower garden and landscaping to bury the line. I had to stop them and have them properly place the connections into the basement like previous cables.

I then got the first bill via their app for $66.35, it was supposed to be free! I spent over an hour with them again to find out that "I do not qualify" for the free 6-month service as quoted; it expired. Also any discounts for them merging with Verizon will take 2 billing cycles to apply. They would not even honor the $35/mo as they quoted when I signed up. I will be making a complaint to the BBB as I have the flyer and the notes from their offer and conversation. Bucks County, beware!

Now they tell me I've had "basic" service for years and need to upgrade to a higher plan. They have been remiss in sending out the new booster. Without offering overnight service. I have been 90% without internet since the last router was installed 2 weeks ago. Every very time I call in. The reps have a different so called solution and nothing has worked. Now I see they have had a class action lawsuit.. DON'T do business with this company. I'm still sitting here with hardly any service and the last rep told me they could not track my order. I will be asking for a full month credit. I had to drive to another location. Just to get service to pay bills...

Recently Galena OH had Fiber installed through the tree which opened up a whole new market for Fiber Internet. So I decided to switch from Spectrum to Frontier. Upon arrival the Installation tech was very professional and friendly. He discussed the fact that they would ned to drill a hole in the side of my house to run the fiber. Based on my experience when Spectrum installed my cable, I was expecting to see a hole with a cable dangling. But this was not the case. The tech placed the appropriate junction box on the side of my house then installed a very nice connection plate inside my house to cover the hole. Then once he connected the equipment he asked if I needed any assistance connecting my devices. Needless to say I am most impressed with this level of service. Add the Better bandwidth at a lower cost and I am thrilled.

The worst customer service (CS) of any company I have ever dealt with. The WiFi and network services are also terrible. Services regularly failed and were weaker speeds than promised. I cancelled my service, but Frontier made things very difficult to terminate the account. The only thing Frontier cancelled instantly was my portal. The portal was not easy to work with, but at least it was something. With phone CS, it was a huge amount of work to get beyond the auto attendant. The auto attendant hung up on me - 'good bye' [click] - multiple times because I was not requesting additional services. Finally I started requesting additional services which got me through to operators who spoke like brand new employees with no technical knowledge. I highly discourage anyone from using Frontier Communications.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! We had to cancel with them after 11/2 yrs due to moving. We were on auto pay and paid the bill 4/21/26. We cancelled 5/5/26. Sent the box back 5/9/26. Was charged for the next month $39.99 and a $50 restock fee. We paid the balance that they sent us when we canceled the contract. The day we sent the final payment. They received the payment. They sent us another bill amount. When I called they said it was for taxes on the restock fee and the last bill. They also didn’t stop the auto pay until I threatened to get a lawyer. There services would go out for days and they never did not do anything to resolve the issue and we had to still pay for service that didn’t work.

UPS also informed us not to lose the return receipt, keep it forever because they will claim they never received the modem back and try to charge you for it. Keep all emails, text messages, payment receipt, and contract with them you will need it when you leave them. Any name, time, dates that you spoke to during your time with them. Because you may need to hire a lawyer to get you out from them. They will find any reason to keep making you pay. Waiting to see if they go after our credit for any charges they deem necessary after paying them in full. Wouldn’t put it past them to be this grim.

Wow what a mess for customer service!!!! The 80s were easier to do call forwarding that deal with Frontier!!! All I wanted was to have calls forwarded to my Mexico phone number. That's it! 1st day 1.5 hours on the phone transferred 6 times, only 2 times a warm transfer. All the other times had to RE EXPLAIN myself! Then I was told I need to cancel our residential acct and open a business account. Ridiculous but ok I need this done. So we cancel. They said I need to wait 24 hours. Then at night it hits me, wait will we have the same number? We have had this number since like the 70s!

I call the next morning which is now (I have currently been on the phone so far today for 1hr and 7min transferred 6 times and only 1 warm transfer). I have cussed while on a service call but today I did! I feel terrible but this is crazzzzzyyy! They have now told me I didn't need to cancel and it would be able to do it on my residential line. Well now of the phone with them 2 hours they said they can't do call forwarding to an international number. Well that is crazy because at least 5 other agents said I could. I would have to add an international plan.

After 2 hours and me taking a shower while on hold and a million other things so my life could go on. They said they can't do it!!!! I spoke to at least 15 reps over 3 hours of my life gone. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! None of them know what is possible and what is not!! If I could cancel, I would. But based on other reviews, it looks like it's really hard to keep your number. We have had the same number for over sixty years and my grandma would be devastated if we lost it. So....we are still with them unfortunately.

Absolutely horrendous service. The initial tech set everything up well but then internet stopped working. The app had customer support as an email that I communicated through but no one ever once responded to. The app also referred me to "How -To troubleshoot your service" videos. No customer support telephone number. I tried upgrading to get support. Received a box at my door with instructions to mail back my equipment. Never received new equipment but was supposed to mail back the equipment I had.

Ultimately had to CANCEL MY SERVICE before I spoke to a representative. So now I am paying a $50 restocking fee because there's no one to help you until you cancel- and once you send back the equipment they charge you a "Restocking fee". The nasty customer service person I spoke with after terminating service told me a phone number could have been found on a PDF of a bill that was not accessible. I only ever received a message when asking to see my bill that said "Not available, try again later" so would have no idea that was the only place a customer service telephone number could be found.

I received an emailed bill as well with no customer support telephone number and a do not reply message on it. Never been so aggravated in my life as when trying to work with this company. Except for when i worked with Verizon which they now were bought by. I was with Verizon cellular for 30 years. Paying $240 a month for a phone line. They refused to lower the price and charged a $145 termination fee when I quit. I refused to pay. They credit reported me for 15 months until I paid the $145 termination fee. Monsters.

I called Frontier to cancel my overpriced business service and go with Spectrum. Frontier cancelled and said that my phone number (of 31 years) would be available for Spectrum to take. I spent 18 days going back and forth with Frontier to release my number. They want me to open my account, pay a monthly charge just to cancel and take my number. It didn't happen, so now I need to change my number. Frontier is a failure, a thief, a rip off. I wish the worst for the company and do not recommend it to anybody.

They are evil and make it impossible to end service. It took me hours of being on hold only to be disconnected, having to call back, then be on hold again. Finally got my service ended in December, returned the equipment, and called to make sure I was really done. They were like yes, you're done. I said "are you sure? I don't want to have any more communication or dealings with you. Is there ANYTHING else?" And he goes "oh, you will be receiving one final bill" so I paid it right then. Now, in MAY I get a COLLECTIONS notice from them! Customer service line won't let me through! I'm trying all the various numbers on the Internet. Got through to one, on hold for half an hour he connected me through to a guy trying to push a ring security offer! Who knows how many more hours this will take. I'll be posting as many bad reviews of them as physically possible. Don't get started with them!
