- Vantage by Frontier: Vantage has speeds that reach up to 200 Mbps in some areas. It’s best for multiple-device streaming, including 4K video, and fast downloads.

This is a 5 star specifically for Kallie from the loyalty department, Otherwise 1 star as I had to call multiple times for the same scripted conversations where they push “deals and upgrades”. They do not care about you. I was facing a bill of 88 dollars for 200mbps for 2 whole years! so I had called to get a proper plan that wasn’t expensive, only for the majority of my calls to push me to 109 to 120 for 1 gig and 2 gig which I felt was outrageous. Considering market rates. Eventually I got in contact with Kallie and she was wonderfully respectful and friendly the ideal customer service representative you’d want each call! She gave me proper reasonings and a better deal than the typical mainline calls that I was facing and within a shorter time than being put on hold and transferred all the time. She was very clear and concise of what would happen and my potential options.

I was helped today by Michael, Ralph, and James. Although the wait time was long (as to be expected, honestly, when waiting for live help), I was met with kindness, patience, and an overwhelming ability to fix my billing and service concerns with the utmost respect and professional customer service. I wish I knew their last names... but these three individuals on call for customer support June 18 from 3:30pm-5:30pm EST (the duration of my time completing this task) I cannot say enough how pleased I am with the care they each took with my concern. Thank you Michael, Thank you Ralph, and Thank you the most to James! You helped me more than I expected and we are grateful for your time. Patience and kindness goes a long way!

Recently Galena OH had Fiber installed through the tree which opened up a whole new market for Fiber Internet. So I decided to switch from Spectrum to Frontier. Upon arrival the Installation tech was very professional and friendly. He discussed the fact that they would ned to drill a hole in the side of my house to run the fiber. Based on my experience when Spectrum installed my cable, I was expecting to see a hole with a cable dangling. But this was not the case. The tech placed the appropriate junction box on the side of my house then installed a very nice connection plate inside my house to cover the hole. Then once he connected the equipment he asked if I needed any assistance connecting my devices. Needless to say I am most impressed with this level of service. Add the Better bandwidth at a lower cost and I am thrilled.

Hi Donald! We sincerely appreciate the feedback, and are glad to hear that your recent experience went well! Should you require assistance in the future, feel free to reach out to our top-of-the-line customer representatives, available by phone, online chat, or our escalated Social Media team, available 24/7 via direct message on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X! -Sean

I recently switched to Frontier Internet, but the service was unstable and frequently very slow. Restarting the router did not solve the problem; I repeatedly had to restart the Frontier ONT to restore normal service. Because the connection was unreliable, I decided to return to my previous provider. On August 10, 2026, I called Frontier and requested cancellation. The representative told me she would submit the cancellation request and that I should wait for a confirmation letter. That same day, Frontier emailed me a QR code for returning its routers and power adapters, which appeared to confirm that the cancellation process had started. I returned all requested equipment at the UPS Store on August 11 and retained the return receipt.
After receiving no cancellation confirmation, I called Frontier again on August 14. The second representative told me there was no cancellation record from my August 10 call. I therefore had to submit the cancellation request again, four days later. This was a frustrating experience. Frontier’s records should have reflected my original cancellation request, particularly because Frontier sent the equipment-return QR code that same day. I should not be charged for service after August 10 due to Frontier’s failure to process the original request. Customers should keep every email, confirmation number and UPS return receipt because Frontier’s cancellation process may not be completed when promised.

Hi Rick! I sincerely apologize that this was your recent experience with the company, and want to emphasize that this is not at all up to our usual standard, nor should this be expected. I live in Manatee County FL. A frontier sales rep stopped by my house. Offering to try it free for a month. During this time, also kept my Spectrum internet. With Frontier, both myself and my wife had trouble during any video conferences. There as a lot of buffering issues. So I disconnected it and went back to my Spectrum internet. Called Frontier and after 15 minutes on the phone, the guy said he could not end my service without a code, which I didn't have. A few weeks later called again. After a long phone call of explaining the situation the woman gave me equipment return information. Thought I was done, but no. They are trying to collect for service never used. The first month was supposed to be free. Never signed anything. Sent an email with phone records of my attempts to cancel. They are still trying to collect. The service was poor, but as a company they are even worse.

So FRONTIER is the worst for Internet service? Our service went out for 3 hours and I was on hold with their "Giga Chat" which kept me on hold for 2 hours. It was useless and a waste of time and money. We are cancelling our service and moving back to Spectrum or another service where we can actually reach a real person to help. This is unacceptable for anyone that works from home and has a home business. Anyone using them, please do not utilize them. Time is money. What a horrible company.

We’ve had Frontier for a couple of years now, and there has always been an issue with outages. The Giga chat is terrible, solves nothing, and is a complete waste of peoples time. It seems to be the entrance point to an infinity loop of basically nonexistent customer service. The billed us of a home phone for years before we caught on, then the customer service agent told us it’s common practice for their sales people to sign people up for phone service so they get a bigger commission. So, we’ve overpaid over $600 in 2 years.
Currently, my internet is down, I went to the chat and that was useless, after about ten minutes of climbing the phone tree my estimated wait time is 35 minutes. I’m 25 minutes on hold so far. If you have any other available options for internet service, use them! I absolutely 100% regret switching to frontier, and will probably be switching back to cable internet. They treat their customers like they are stupid, and I feel stupid for doing business with Frontier.

I was a Spectrum customer, and not so happy. Neighbors suggested Frontier. On phone for about 40 minutes with a rep going over a new customer setup. Went over EVERYTHING to confirm. Service man came, hooked everything up, and left. I had no TV service, my landline was disconnected and utility box by side of my home, looked like it was vandalized. Called Frontier and was told I never ordered TV, landline. 1 week later, a new service man arrived. He spent more time on his cell asking questions on how to complete the job. TV, landline are now usable. He placed an extender for better service. My calls drift in and out. Called customer service again. Was told I needed a 2nd extender.
I followed directions and hooked it up which, disconnected the 1st one. I spent 30 minutes on 1 call that I was on hold for. Called a 2nd time and spent another 30 minutes or so. 1st person interrogated me, then said she would direct me to the correct dept. 2nd person didn't interrogate me as badly as 1st. 10 minutes and was transferred again. FRONTIER SUCKS. Stay away. The real people you get to talk to don't have a working knowledge of the English language.

I have never written a complaint for any internet provider I have ever used until today when I cancelled my service with Frontier. There isn't a single location you can visit and if you call, the only thing they do is to try to get you to add additional services, when all you want to do is cancel. I tried to cancel but was told their systems were down and that I would have to call back the next day. I have never had slower internet than they provide despite their claim that fiber is extremely fast. The cost to disconnect the service will cost almost $100 so I do not recommend this internet to anyone.

Updated on 08/07/2026: The fact they respond here with contacting them through Facebook or X is hilarious, I spoke with 5 reps between the two social media apps. They won't help you. Contact the escalation team, email is easily found online, and continue to escalate it till it gets resolved. They get a second star for finally addressing the issue. They know they have a monopoly on fiber/speed, so they don't really care if anything is resolved. They are hoping you are too busy and give up. Don't.
Original Review: I am extremely dissatisfied with Frontier Communications' deceptive practices. I requested a simple relocation of my main line to a different wall jack inside my home. The representative quoted a $150 trip charge but stated I could avoid it entirely by upgrading my service for an additional $15 per month. I agreed to the upgrade solely to bypass the fee. The technician arrived the following day and performed only external work. No internal wiring, jack relocation, or cable installation occurred. The technician confirmed that Frontier no longer handles inside wiring or jack moves.
Nevertheless, the work order falsely stated that a new Cat5 ethernet cable had been run. This was a clear case of misrepresentation. I have spoken with three different customer service rep’s over the matter. Each one stated, “What’s the issue? Your service works.” Frontier’s misleading sales tactics and inaccurate documentation are unacceptable. I strongly advise others to proceed with caution when dealing with this company.

Absolutely garbage "service" from Frontier. My internet went completely out, and after dealing with their frustrating, phone-only support, they confirmed it was a physical issue on their end. Their brilliant solution? The absolute earliest they can get a technician out to fix their own broken equipment is nine days from now. This is completely unacceptable. We are a family that works remotely, and Frontier honestly expects us to just go without internet for over a week while we lose income. It is downright offensive that this company constantly advertises "great service" and "reliability" when they clearly couldn't care less about their paying customers once the contract is signed. If you have any other option for an ISP in your area, take it. Do not rely on Frontier.

I have been a loyal customer of Frontier Communications for over 10 years, bundling my internet, phone, and TV services. Unfortunately, the quality of service has steadily declined while the costs have consistently risen. Despite making multiple attempts to negotiate a fair rate similar to what they offer new customers, I was consistently rebuffed. Consequently, I decided to switch to a new provider. Upon canceling my service, I received written confirmation via email stating my final balance would be $0.00. However, I was shocked to receive a final bill for $550.00.
When I contacted their customer service department to dispute this, they refused to rectify the error. Frontier Communications is a complete rip-off; I will never use their services again, nor would I ever recommend them to others. Furthermore, I am now considering switching my cell phone provider from Verizon, as they have an ownership stake in Frontier and I no longer trust either company.
Review Title: Terrible experience with billing and poor customer service.
Summary of Review Points:* **Loyalty Disregarded:** Long-term customers are penalized with price hikes rather than rewarded for their tenure.
* **Deceptive Billing:** Received a written confirmation of a $0.00 balance only to be hit with an unexpected $550.00 charge.
* **Poor Resolution:** Customer support failed to honor their own documentation and refused to resolve the billing dispute.
* **Lost Trust:** The combination of service degradation and predatory billing practices has resulted in a permanent loss of business and future brand recommendations.

I have had Frontier for a little over a month now and from the time I had it installed, nothing but problems. I selected the 5Gig but somehow got diverted to the 2Gig and it is my word against theirs because I signed up on the internet and was not given any proof. So here I am with 2G and is a completely different price than what was showing on the website. I advised at the beginning that I did not select 2Gig as I work from home, do a lot of streaming, and my children are gamers. I was advised that I can pay extra to have the speed upgraded to what I initially signed up for, which I advised was false advertisement and a bait and switch tactic.
For the duration of the month, I have had nothing but problems. I was told the router was faulty, and then they sent me a new one. The internet still was slow and went out. Then they stated that I need an extender (a whole home wifi). I was advised that it would help any outages in my home and for the speed. Well, I waited; it never came. Called back, spoke to a woman for 30 mins while she did tech support and assured me the extender was ordered. Waited; extender never came. Finally called back again. Week 3, person said they ordered the extender. I could see everything online the day after. Waited on the extender to come, it never came. Only to see that it was cancelled in the app and that they were working on it. I kept explaining that I work from home. Still didn't matter.
Finally, week 4, I had someone who actually ordered it. It came today. Guess what. The router does not work and won't connect. The solution was for me to hook up the router they stated was faulty previously, and they magically say everything is up and running. Still slow speeds and lagging. This is not the same Frontier as it was years ago. Customer service is horrible. I was told if I cancelled, I would have a $150 early termination fee (there is no contract) even though I barely had their services for a month.
This company seems to be money-based, as they have no solutions. Just lies, deceit, and bait and switch. I am going to try Spectrum out, what choice do I have? Then I was advised if I do upgrade my service, I will lose my $250 gift card they said I would get. At this point, who cares about the gift card. I just want some service that works. Avoid this company if you can.

After 9 months of paying for a vacation pause at $5 plus per month, I canceled my service and returned their equipment to a UPS store. I was told by a FRONTIER representative that he would note my file to make sure I didn't get charged a $50 restocking fee. I asked why I should be charged anything since I disconnected the equipment myself and returned it for them. A couple months later I was charged anyway. A $50 mandatory restocking fee along with a $31.99/month service fee, but I had canceled after the vacation pause so I was told the $31.99 was probably a mistake and could be disputed.
After an hour on the phone I still owed $50 plus $31.99 for a month's service which I never initiated or asked for. I had paid for a vacation pause then canceled my service and returned their equipment out of the goodness of my heart. **Be advised that they have a $50 mandatory restocking fee when you disconnect their service whether you bring it to UPS or not! No idea where they came up with a month of service fee and they couldn't tell me. They just knew that I owed it because the computer said so. Almost an hour on the phone with various people/departments. This was so unreasonable that I was not willing to just let it go so I called back and spoke to MARIA, who finally told me that she would take care of the entire misunderstanding/bill and that I would have a zero balance... A little while later I got a text that said I got a $23.94 credit... That's it. I will never use nor recommend FRONTIER to anyone.. ever.

Frontier Fiber completely failed without warning. After troubleshooting everything on my end, the ONT showed a red Optical light, indicating a fiber signal issue. There were no reported outages, yet the earliest technician appointment was several days away. In today’s world, reliable Wi-Fi isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity for work, school, communication, and daily life. Leaving customers without service for days when the issue is outside their control is unacceptable. Extremely disappointed with Frontier’s reliability and customer support.

Fallen on hard times had to postpone a few bills. As many have experienced. I was told by their system I had until the 13th to pay before my service would be interrupted. It was suspended a week before the 13th. I tried to speak with someone about it. They were short and once they discovered I couldn't pay that day, I simply wanted to find out why I had no emails, calls, and their system told me the 13th. He disconnected after telling me they called and emailed. That's funny I have no missed calls or emails. They're rude every time I contact them about anything. Not like I wanted my car to break down and have to take my cat to the emergency vet all at once and fall behind. Zero respect or human decency. Like they train their staff to be robots. Cold and to the point. If you don't have their money you aren't worth talking with. Glad I'm moving soon and can close my account.

We had internet with Frontier for exactly a year. 2 Gig Fiber Optic. By far the worst connection and inconsistent. I work from home and I’ve missed more days this past year due to “Frontier outages” than I have ever missed in my life and that is 25+ years. The app states no outage when in fact there is an outage and you get an email 24-48 or 72 hours later saying they fixed the outage. Customer service is absolutely a nightmare to get ahold of and the internet service is horrible. Definitely nowhere near how Fiber optic internet should be. To be brutally honest I would say it is worst than Dial up internet. Not to mention with all the issues they do not give you a credit towards your bill either to help compensate for the lost service. DO NOT RECOMMEND

This is a horrible company. We were faithful customers for years, even though the service got worse and worse while the rates went up and up. It finally got so bad that we changed companies immediately when a new one became available in our rural area. Then we were told they needed the equipment and were going to send instructions. We never got them. So we tried contacting them and could NEVER get anyone live. Then they closed our account, but bills kept billing us for various amounts for the equipment we could never send back. We paid those bills. Then a credit came back, followed by more bills, and we could never get in touch with a live person. This is a horrible company, and steer clear of them. Years of horrible service and even worse customer service. I wish I could mark them a negative star.

Updated on 07/08/2026: It’s been 14 days trying to setup account. Neither the internet site nor app work. Frontier responded to my last review, stating they are sorry. Please contact them again. I contacted them today, July 7th, and they still cannot do anything. But, send info needed via usps mail. So, here goes another 5-7 days of waiting. By the way, it is not convenient calling customer support. When calling them. I’m directed to call tech support number, rather than given the number as well as the customer support number automatically transferring me.
Original Review: Install completed 6/24/26. Received emails to download app. So I did. It’s a waste of time when the app continues to show errors when doing initial login. Error occurs when using phone number and email address. I hope this is normal service. Especially, when problems cannot be handled after hours.

Frontier ran new lines for their new Fiber through our neighborhood and their contractor from New Jersey dug up our yards (as needed) last October and promised to be back to fill in and re-seed all areas by April/May of this year. I contacted Frontier a month ago, had to file a damage claim # and have received multiple 'delay' texts and emails of 'sorry we will get back to you in 3 days' etc etc. Well that was back on June 2nd. Our neighborhood is deciding NOT to get any of their services if this is how they treat their customers!

Initially I Spectrum and realized that Spectrum internet was basically gambling when I would have service or not. In 2025 I switched over to Frontier because I was baited in by a new customer program offering $250 visa gift card for new customers who stay for 90 days and a really nice lock in price for 2 gig internet. Like a fish to a hook, I fell for it. Come near 4 months later I remembered that I was owed a visa gift card because I never received any in the mail nor an email on it. I called in and I was basically told by agents that that offer never existed even though I was looking at it on the front page. After further inquiry apparently because the agent I was talking to forgot to add in the promo I would not be receiving the cardI was mad but at the time I was also going through my final semester for my post-graduates so it left my mind.
I then received a PHYSICAL ad for upgrading to 5 gigs and get a $250 gift card, this time my family wanted to go the route and I did. Now come 6/24/2026 a good 4 months again after the initial fiasco and I've had 3 agents lie to my face again about the gift card being on my account or not and after an agent agreeing that it existed and that it would be credited to my account, I get an email from Frontier saying that theyve investigated themselves and decided that I do not deserve a credit to my account.

While my Frontier service was good, when I went to cancel it, the guy on the phone that I spoke with the first time got into a shouting match with me and refused to cancel my service. I had to hang up and call back to speak with someone else. I did finally get it canceled, but I almost had to get in an argument with her asking questions that have nothing to do with me canceling. Very hard to cancel your service with frontier. Also I want nothing to do with Verizon. I had Verizon, it took me 9 months to get my $1600 back from them for a phone that we returned. We had to argue with them for 9 months. I don't like the customer service of either one of these companies. Nor will I ever use them

I am a seasonal customer of Frontier and I have voiceover and Internet. I have my service turned on in April even though I am not at that address until June. Other people do use my Internet, but they don’t have access to my telephone. When I arrived two days ago, I picked up my phone and it was dead. After spending a half hour the first day I arrived and another half hour the next day I was told some of the most ridiculous reasons why my phone did not work. I was told that the system would not allow a service tech to come out to my property to fix my problem.
The first person I spoke to whose name is.Thabiso asked me if it was OK to call me back in 20 minutes to see if he could resolve the problem of not being able to write me a service ticket. It’s a good thing. I didn’t hold my breath because he never called back. The second day I called again and I got a woman on the phone also tech-support and she also was unable to create a service ticket for me and told me that I needed a new router and two little boxes so that I could have a home Wi-Fi set up, which was free for 30 days and then would cost me $10 a month. I refused the two little boxes and she said they were mailing out a modem to me which is supposed to solve my Problem and I had to install it myself.
My frustration was so great that I called a number of a supervisor that I had in my contact list who is pretty local to my area. We do live in a remote sort of area. I left him a message requesting that he called me to at least discuss what I was told by the tech-support online and I guess he heard the urgency in my voice because it just did not sound like a normal resolution, a half hour later my phone rang and it was a local service man who has been at our property many, many times and he told me that he corrected my problem in 30 seconds and that all something had to be done. Was the Voice had to be reconfigured. My suggestion to Frontier would be that they retrain their tech-support people so that they don’t give them misinformation.

When their service works, it seems to work well. The problem is they routinely have outages in my town and when you call them to tell them about it they can’t seem to be able to tell they have an outage. Idk how an internet company can’t see when their services are down on repeated occasions, but they don’t seem to have the ability somehow. For those who work from home, if you need reliable internet I suggest a different provider if possible. Frontier is cheap but you get what you pay for I guess, and when their services go down every couple weeks for a whole day, that’s not what I call reliable, especially when they seem to have no idea it’s even happening 9 times out of 10.
One of their solutions is some new expensive upgrade that keeps your internet going in the case of an outage - so it almost seems intentional to upsell all their customers on new equipment and plans. I’m gonna call around and find another provider that actually improves on their services because frontier is getting worse as time goes on and this is ridiculous anymore.

Headline: Terrible customer service and zero regard for public safety. A storm knocked a tree into my internet line, leaving it broken and hanging dangerously over the public alley by my house. When I called Frontier to report this immediate safety hazard, they refused to send anyone out until the next afternoon. Disgusted by their lack of concern for community safety, I asked to cancel my service. The representative refused to process it, telling me I had to call back during regular business hours. Because I work during those hours and cannot make calls, I tried their online chat. The chat agent also refused to cancel my account, stating only a "special department" could do it. When I asked her to forward my request to them, she claimed she had no way to communicate with that department. Frontier would rather leave a dangerous wire hanging in a street and trap working customers in billing loops than provide actual service. Avoid this company.

Frontier fiber internet is a scam. I got a flyer advertising 6 mos free and $35/mo. I spent an hour on the phone going over all the details with an agent breaking down the discounts and how the discounts would be applied. They came out and put a box under the front window of my house (an eye-sore). They then proceeded to dig through my flower garden and landscaping to bury the line. I had to stop them and have them properly place the connections into the basement like previous cables.
I then got the first bill via their app for $66.35, it was supposed to be free! I spent over an hour with them again to find out that "I do not qualify" for the free 6-month service as quoted; it expired. Also any discounts for them merging with Verizon will take 2 billing cycles to apply. They would not even honor the $35/mo as they quoted when I signed up. I will be making a complaint to the BBB as I have the flyer and the notes from their offer and conversation. Bucks County, beware!
